Abstract
PURPOSE There is still controversy regarding the safety and efficacy of cold knife visual internal urethrotomy and laser incisions for the treatment of urethral stricture. This study aims to compare the results of postoperative long-term and short-term maximum urinary flow rates (Qmax), surgical time, postoperative complications, and 1-year recurrence rates between the cold knife and laser surgery. METHODS We searched databases including Embase, PubMed, Cochrane, and Clinical Trials.gov to identify relevant literature published in English up to September 2023. We used Stata to compare various parameters. This study is registered in PROSPERO (CRD42023471634). Nine comparative experiments were conducted, involving a total of 659 participants. RESULTS The laser group showed significantly better results compared to the cold knife group in terms of postoperative 12-month maximum urinary flow rate (mean differences [MD] 2.131; 95% [1.015, 3.249], P < .0001), postoperative bleeding (RR 0.277, 95% [0.079, 0.977], P = .046), and 1-year recurrence rate (RR 0.667, 95% [0.456, 0.976], P = .037). However, there were no significant differences in postoperative 6-month and 3-month Qmax, surgical time, urethral leakage complications, overall complications, and Visual Analog Scale (VAS) scores. CONCLUSION The current study results suggest that laser urethral incision has greater advantages in the long-term (12 months), 1-year recurrence rate, and bleeding complications compared to cold knife urethral incision in the treatment of urethral stricture (<2 cm). Therefore, laser urethral incision may be a better choice for patients with urethral stricture.

Abstract
Background: The application of ferric citrate therapy has yielded unexpected benefits in recent years for Chronic kidney disease patients suffering from hyperphosphatemia and iron deficiency -anaemia. Despite this, earlier research on the impact of ferric citrate on NDD-CKD has been contentious. Objective: The goal of the meta-analysis is to evaluate the evidence regarding the advantages and dangers of ferric citrate for the treatment of hyperphosphatemia and iron deficiency anaemia in NDD-CKD patients. Methods: Between the start of the study and June 2022, we searched PubMed, Embase, Cochrane, EBSCO, Scopus, Web of Science, Wan Fang Data, CNKI, and VIP databases for randomised controlled trials of iron citrate for hyperphosphatemia and anaemia in patients with NDD-CKD. For binary categorical data, risk ratios (OR) were employed, and for continuous variables, weighted mean differences The effect sizes for both count and measurement data were expressed using 95% confidence intervals Results: The meta-analysis includes eight trials with a total of 1281 NDD-CKD patients. The phosphorus-lowering effect of ferric citrate was greater compared to the control group (WMD, -0.55, 95% CI, -0.81 to -0.28; I2 = 86%, p < 0.001). Calcium (WMD, 0.092; 95% CI, -0.051 to 0.234; p > 0.05; I2 = 61.9%), PTH (WMD, -0.10; 95% CI, -0.44 to 0.23; I2 = 75%, p > 0.05) and iFGF23 (WMD, -7.62; 95% CI, -21.18 to 5.94; I2 = 20%, p > 0.05) levels were not statistically different after ferric citrate treatment compared to control treatment. Furthermore, ferric citrate increased iron reserves and haemoglobin. The ferric citrate group had considerably greater levels than the controls. Ferric citrate, on the other hand, may raise the risk of constipation, diarrhoea, and nausea. Conclusion: This meta-analysis found that ferric citrate had a beneficial effect in the treatment of NDD-CKD, particularly in reducing blood phosphorus levels when compared to a control intervention. It also shown that ferric citrate has a favourable effect on iron intake and anaemia management. In terms of safety, ferric citrate may increase the likelihood of gastrointestinal side effects.

Abstract
Background Cognitive impairment is prevalent in Chinese patients with hypertension; however, current evidence on prevalence and risk factors is required to be synthesized. Objectives This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the prevalence and risk factors of cognitive impairment in Chinese patients with hypertension. Methods Two reviewers independently searched PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, The Cochrane Library, CNKI, CBM, the Wanfang database, and the VIP database from their inception to 7 June 2023. The gray literature and the reference lists of the included studies were also retrieved manually. Moreover, we also independently performed the eligibility screening, data extraction, and data synthesis. The primary outcome was the prevalence of cognitive impairment in Chinese patients with hypertension, and the secondary outcomes were the risk factors for cognitive impairment in patients with hypertension. R (version 4.0.3) was used for data synthesis. Results In total, 82 studies involving 53,623 patients with hypertension were included in this meta-analysis. The pooled prevalence of cognitive impairment in patients with hypertension was 37.6% (95% CI: 33.2-42.2%). A total of 12 risk factors, including advanced age (r = -0.34, 95% CI: -0.45, -0.21), female sex (OR = 1.15, 95% CI: 1.01-1.32), BMI > 24 Kg/m2 (OR = 1.76, 95% CI: 1.04-3.00), lower educational level (OR = 2.01, 95% CI: 1.10-3.67), single status (OR = 1.63, 95% CI: 1.32-2.02), complications with diabetes (OR = 1.44, 95% CI: 1.14-1.80), coronary heart disease (OR = 1.49, 95% CI: 1.12-1.97), higher stage of hypertension [stage 3 vs. stage 1, OR = 3.08, 95% CI: 1.82-5.22; stage 2 vs. stage 1, OR = 1.83, 95% CI: 1.29-2.60], no regular physical activity (OR = 0.40, 95% CI: 0.21-0.77), higher levels of systolic blood pressure (r = -0.25, 95% CI: -0.42, -0.08), Hcy (r = -0.39, 95% CI: -0.63, -0.09), and IL-6 (r = -0.26, 95% CI: -0.48, -0.02) were detected. Conclusion Cognitive impairment is prevalent in Chinese patients with hypertension, and the increased prevalence was associated with several demographic characteristics, complicated disease, no regular physical activity, worse hypertension status (higher stages and SBP), and high levels of biomarkers. Therefore, more attention should be paid to the early identification and treatment of patients with hypertension who are at high risk for cognitive impairment in clinical practice. In addition, relevant risk factors should be controlled to reduce the incidence of cognitive impairment. Abstract
Background and aims This meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the short-term and long-term efficacy of radiofrequency ablation (RFA) and explore the role of diagnostic genicular nerve blocks in predicting treatment outcomes. Methods A comprehensive literature search was conducted, and nine randomized controlled trials involving 714 participants were included in the analysis. Data extraction, risk of bias assessment, and subgroup analyses were performed. The primary outcome measures were pain scores at 6 and 12 months, assessed using visual analogue scale and Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC). The quality of evidence was assessed using the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation (GRADE) methodology. Results The meta-analysis revealed that RFA demonstrated a significant short-term efficacy in reducing pain compared to the control group at 6 months, as indicated by the pain scores [weighted mean difference (WMD): -2.69, 95% CI: -3.99, -1.40]. Similarly, WOMAC scores at 6 months favored the RFA group (WMD: -4.40, 95% CI: -7.12, -1.68). However, the long-term efficacy of RFA at 12 months remained uncertain for both pain scores (WMD: -0.88, 95% CI: -2.36, 0.61) and WOMAC (WMD: 0.03, 95% CI: -0.25, 0.32). Subgroup analysis suggested that a positive result from the diagnostic genicular nerve blocks test was associated with a more favourable short-term outcome. Conclusion This meta-analysis provides moderate-quality evidence supporting the short-term efficacy of RFA in reducing pain in patients with knee osteoarthritis. The inclusion of a diagnostic genicular nerve blocks test prior to RFA may help identify patients likely to benefit from the procedure. But it still needs more large sample studies to verify the results. However, further research is needed to determine the long-term efficacy of RFA in managing knee osteoarthritis pain.

Abstract
BACKGROUND To investigate the risk factors for the development of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). METHODS The literature related to risk factors for the development of PAH in SLE patients was searched by the computer on China national knowledge infrastructure (CNKI), PubMed, and Embase, and the literature search was limited to the period of library construction to October 2022. Two researchers independently performed literature screening and literature information extracting, including first author, publication time, case collection time, sample size, and study factors, and used the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale (NOS) to evaluate the quality of the literature. The relationship between each clinical manifestation and laboratory index and the occurrence of PAH in SLE patients was evaluated based on the ratio (OR value) and its 95% CI. RESULTS A total of 24 publications were included, including 23 case-control studies and 1 cohort study with NOS ≥ 6, and the overall quality of the literature was high. The risk of PAH was higher in SLE patients who developed Raynaud phenomenon than in those who did not [OR = 2.39, 95% CI (1.91, 2.99), P < .05]; the risk of PAH was higher in SLE patients who were positive for anti-RNP antibodies than in those who were negative for anti-RNP antibodies [OR = 1.77, 95% CI (1.17, 3.2.65), P < .05]; the risk of PAH was higher in SLE patients with interstitial lung lesions than in those without combined interstitial lung lesions [OR = 3.28, 95% CI (2.37, 4.53), P < .05]; the risk of PAH was higher in SLE patients with combined serositis than in those without serositis [OR = 2.28, 95% CI (1.83, 2.84), P < .05]. The risk of PAH was higher in SLE patients with combined pericardial effusion than in those without pericardial effusion [OR = 2.97, 95% CI (2.37, 3.72), P < .05]; the risk of PAH was higher in SLE patients with combined vasculitis than in those without vasculitis [OR = 1.50, 95% CI (1.08, 2.07), P < .05]; rheumatoid factor-positive SLE patients had a higher risk of PAH than those with rheumatoid factor-negative [OR = 1.66, 95% CI (1.24, 2.24), P < .05]. CONCLUSION Raynaud phenomenon, vasculitis, anti-RNP antibodies, serositis, interstitial lung lesions, rheumatoid factor, and pericardial effusion are risk factors for the development of PAH in patients with SLE.

Abstract
The present meta-analysis was conducted to comprehensively assess the impact of closed-incision negative-pressure wound therapy (ciNPWT) on the incidence of surgical site infections (SSIs) in patients undergoing spinal fusion surgery, thereby aiming to provide evidence-based support for the prevention of postoperative wound infections during spinal surgery. Relevant studies pertaining to the application of ciNPWT in spinal surgery were retrieved through searches of the PubMed, Embase, MEDLINE and Cochrane Library databases, spanning from their inception to May 2023. The literature screening and data extraction were performed by two researchers based on predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria, followed by a quality assessment of the included studies. Meta-analyses were performed using the odds ratios (ORs) and standardised mean differences (SMDs) as effect variables. RevMan 14.0 and STATA 17.0 were employed for meta-analysis of the extracted data. In total, eight articles involving 1198 patients, including 391 in the experimental group and 807 in the control group, were included. The meta-analysis results revealed that ciNPWT significantly reduced the incidence of SSIs in patients undergoing spinal fusion surgery (OR, 0.39; 95% CI: 0.22-0.67, p = 0.0007); however, it did not lead to a reduction in hospital stay duration (SMD: -0.48, 95% CI: -0.98 to 0.01, p = 0.06). Existing evidence suggests that ciNPWT has a positive impact on patients undergoing spinal fusion surgery, as it significantly reduces the incidence of postoperative surgical site wound infections; however, it does not result in a shorter hospital stay for patients.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE This study aimed to collect, organize, and conduct a meta-analysis of the literature on the expression of silent information regulator two homolog 1 (SIRT1) in the placental tissue and plasma of patients with pre-eclampsia. METHODS The enrolled patients were divided into two groups: the pre-eclampsia group and the healthy group. This study summarized and analyzed the demographic characteristics of the two groups, including pregnancy age, gestational weeks, parity, gravidity, blood pressure, Body Mass Index, newborn weight, placental weight, and SIRT1 expression in placental tissue and maternal plasma. RESULTS Eleven studies were included in this research, with 586 cases in the pre-eclampsia group and 479 cases in the control group. Three research studies are reporting immunohistochemistry tests, among which the pre-eclampsia group had a positivity rate of 30.24% (62/205), while the control group had 58.02% (76/131); the two groups have a significant difference (p < 0.05). Two research studies reported the results of ELISA tests, with 107 cases in the pre-eclampsia group and 125 cases in the control group. A comparison of the SIRT1 test results showed a statistically significant difference between the two groups (p < 0.05). Pre-eclampsia group patients had lower gestational weeks, newborn birth weight, and placental weight compared to the healthy control group (all p < 0.05). However, systolic and diastolic blood pressures were higher in the pre-eclampsia group than in the control group (p < 0.05). CONCLUSION SIRT1 expression is downregulated in pre-eclampsia patients' plasma and placental tissue. Further research is needed to validate this conclusion.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Severe community-acquired pneumonia (sCAP) is characterized by severe symptoms and a poor prognosis, especially with the recent global impact of novel coronavirus in recent years. The use of glucocorticoids in sCAP is currently a subject of debate. To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of glucocorticoids and provide guidance for their rational use in clinical practice, we conducted this study. METHODS We searched PubMed, Web of Science, and China National Knowledge Infrastructure using the following search terms: "pneumonia", "pneumonias", "Pulmonary Inflammation", "Pulmonary Inflammations", "Lung Inflammation", and "Lung Inflammations". The primary outcomes included mortality and the length of hospital stay. The secondary outcomes included the duration of mechanical ventilation, duration of vasoactive drug use, gastrointestinal bleeding, and multiple infections. The Cochrane Collaboration was used to assess the risk of bias of the included studies. Stata/MP14 was used for meta-analysis. RESULTS These studies contained information on 1252 patients who received glucocorticoids and 1280 patients who did not. Meta-analysis showed that there was no difference in terms of mortality [risk ratio (RR) = 0.93, 95% confidence interval (CI): 0.81-1.07, P > .05], gastrointestinal bleeding (RR = 1.38, 95% CI: 0.83-2.30, P < .05), multiple infections (RR = 1.17, 95% CI: 0.90-1.53, P > .05) and length of hospital stay (mean difference [MD] = -0.87, 95% CI: -2.35 to 0.61, P > .05) between the hormonal and nonhormonal groups. However, there was a significant difference in the duration of mechanical ventilation (MD = -1.54; 95% CI, -1.89 to -1.12, P < .05) and the duration of use of vasoactive drugs (MD = -14.09, 95% CI: -15.72 to -12.46, P < .05). CONCLUSION Glucocorticoids reduced the duration of mechanical ventilation duration and vasoactive drug use in sCAP patients without increasing the risk of adverse events including hyperglycemia and multiple infections. However, there was no significant difference in mortality or length of hospital stay in sCAP patients between glucocorticoid and non-glucocorticoid groups. Glucocorticoids could be recommended for patients with sCAP with respiratory failure or hemodynamic instability.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Being overweight or obese is closely related to adverse pregnancy outcomes and harms both pregnant women and neonates, increasing complications during pregnancy and leading to adverse pregnancy outcomes. Consequently, a meta-analysis was done to investigate exercise therapy impact on the complications and outcomes of pregnant women who are obese or overweight. MATERIALS AND METHODS The computer system searched PubMed, Cochrane Library, Wanfang, EMBASE, and CNKI databases. The search duration extended from the database establishment until October 2022. A thorough search was carried out for pertinent studies investigating exercise therapy impact on pregnancy complications and outcomes in obese or overweight pregnant women. The heterogeneity test was carried out using Cochrane Q and Chi-square tests. The combined findings from the meta-analysis were examined for reliability and robustness using sensitivity and publication bias analyses. All statistics used RevMan 5.3 software. RESULTS This meta-analysis included data from 8026 patients from 22 randomized controlled trials. The results demonstrated that exercise therapy might successfully decrease the incidence of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) (odds ratio [OR] = 0.85, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.74-0.96, P = .01) and macrosomia (OR = 0.78, 95% CI: 0.68-0.89, P < .001), and control weight gain during pregnancy (SMD = -0.2, 95% CI: -0.31 to -0.08, P < .001). CONCLUSIONS Exercise therapy can control weight gain during pregnancy, lower the incidence of GDM and the macrosomia rate, and improve adverse pregnancy outcomes.

Abstract
AIMS As PD-L1 expression has been proposed as one of the cancer biomarkers for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), the predictive value of tumour proportional score (TPS) in the effect of immunotherapy [programmed death protein-1/ligand 1 (PD-1/L1) inhibitors] for NSCLC is worth exploring further. Here, we aimed to summarise the outcomes of current NSCLC randomised controlled trials (RCTs) and explore the predictive value of TPS in clinical immunotherapy, including immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) with or without chemotherapy. MATERIALS AND METHODS RCTs published by PubMed, Medline, Embase and Scopus before February 2023 comparing immunotherapy (PD-1/L1 with or without other therapy) versus a control group in advanced or metastatic NSCLC were included to assess the prognosis according to the patients' TPS with 1% and 50% as the thresholds. The primary endpoints were overall survival and progression-free survival. RESULTS In total, 28 RCTs containing 17 266 participants with advanced or metastatic NSCLC were included in this meta-analysis. Statistical results showed that compared with TPS <1%, ≥1% or within 1-49%, patients with TPS ≥50% benefited more significantly from the immunotherapy. A subgroup analysis showed that when TPS was <1%, ≥1% or within 1-49%, ICIs + chemotherapy had better efficacy than ICIs alone; PD-1 (such as pembrolizumab) inhibitors had better efficacy than PD-L1 inhibitors (such as atezolizumab). CONCLUSION The efficacy of immunotherapy (PD-1/L1 inhibitors) for advanced or metastatic NSCLC is influenced by TPS.

Abstract
Background Since the association of vitamin D with atrial fibrillation (AF) risk is still unclear, we conducted this updated meta-analysis of prospective studies to identify the relationship between vitamin D or vitamin D supplementation and AF in the general population. Methods We conducted a comprehensive search of multiple databases up to May 2023 for studies reporting vitamin D and AF. The hazard ratios (HRs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were pooled by a random-effects model. Results A total of seven studies were included in this meta-analysis. Vitamin D deficiency (<20 ng/ml) was associated with increased AF incidence (HR: 1.12, 95% CI: 1.005-1.25). The HR was not significant with vitamin D insufficiency (20-30 ng/ml; HR: 1.09, 95% CI: 0.98-1.21). Each 10 ng/ml increase in serum vitamin D was associated with a significantly decreased AF incidence (HR: 0.95, 95% CI: 0.93-0.97). Two studies reported the effect of vitamin D supplements on AF incidence but reached inconsistent results. Conclusions Vitamin D deficiency or insufficiency was associated with an increased risk of AF in the general population. The role of vitamin D supplementation in AF prevention needs further investigation.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE We aimed to obtain more precise estimates of stroke to address the wide variation of stroke burden among people with HIV (PWH) in different clinical settings. DESIGN Systematic review and meta-analysis. METHODS We systematically searched PubMed, EMBASE, and Web of Science for original articles reporting the prevalence and incidence of stroke among PWH up to November 23, 2022. Der Simonian-Laird random effects were used to obtain pooled estimates and 95% confidence intervals (CIs). RESULTS We included 17 observational studies covering 1 749 003 PWH on estimation of prevalence, and 17 cohort studies covering 249 606 PWH on estimation of incidence. The pooled prevalence of stroke was 1.30% (95% CI: 1.01%, 1.59%) for PWH aged at least 15 years, and 3.98% (95% CI: 2.45%, 5.51%) for PWH aged at least 50 years. The pooled incidence of stroke was 17.86 per 10 000 person-years (95% CI: 15.96, 19.76), meanwhile, the pooled incidence of ischemic stroke (31.50 per 10 000 person-years; 95% CI: 11.11, 51.89) was higher than hemorrhagic stroke (4.43 per 10 000 person-years; 95% CI: 1.95, 6.91) among PWH aged at least 15 years. CONCLUSION The prevalence of stroke was nearly one per hundred among PWH aged ≥15 years, and reached four per hundred for those aged ≥50 years. The occurrence of stroke is common during HIV progression, particularly ischemic stroke. Therefore, more efforts should be made on implementing policies, strategies, and programs aimed at identifying the risk factors, improving treatment, and facilitating rehabilitation for stroke to reduce the disease burden among PWH.

Abstract
Background Coronary atherosclerotic heart disease is one of the most serious health and life-threatening diseases. There is no doubt that despite the increasing number of assessment methods used clinically, the prognosis assessment is still not ideal, and newer assessment methods are needed. Objective To investigate the predictive value of quantitative flow ratio (QFR) for adverse events (vessel-oriented composite endpoint events/target lesion failure) in patients after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Method Eight studies involving 4,173 patients (5,688 vascular lesions) were included. These are studies on the relationship between QFR values and prognosis of adverse cardiac events after PCI. This meta-analysis was performed after quality assessment and data extraction of clinical trials data that met the inclusion criteria. Result Each of the eight studies described the cut-off values for the best predictive ability of post-PCI QFR and the hazard ratio (HR) between QFR values and adverse events, respectively. The pooled HR of these studies was 4.72 (95% CI: 3.29-6.75). Concurrently, lower post-PCI QFR values were associated with the occurrence of individual clinical events (cardiac death/myocardial infarction/target vessel revascularization), with relative risk values of 6.51 (95% CI: 4.96-8.53), 4.83 (95% CI: 3.08-7.57), and 4.21 (95% CI: 2.66-6.68), respectively. Conclusion QFR may have great potential in the assessment of prognosis. It is necessary to measure QFR value after PCI. A lower QFR value after PCI was an important predictor for experiencing adverse events.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Gastric cancer (GC) is one of the most common types of cancer worldwide. Recent studies have shown that tsRNAs play important roles in GC and that changes in the expression levels of tsRNAs can be used for GC diagnosis and treatment response prediction. RESEARCH DESIGN AND METHODS Hazard ratios (HRs), odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were used to evaluate the correlation between tsRNA expression and prognosis and other clinicopathologic features of GC patients. The sensitivity, specificity, area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) and diagnostic odds ratio (DOR) were analyzed to evaluate the diagnostic value of tsRNAs. RESULTS The results showed that patients with tsRNA upregulation had a poor prognosis (HR = 2.48, 95% CI: 1.85-3.34), while patients with tsRNA downregulation had a favorable prognosis (HR = 0.55, 95% CI: 0.31-0.98). In addition, tsRNA expression was significantly correlated with various clinicopathological features in patients with GC. Finally, in diagnostic studies, GC-related tsRNAs could differentiate healthy controls (AUC = 0.81, DOR = 7.74) from patients with inflammation (AUC = 0.74, DOR = 4.44). CONCLUSIONS tsRNAs have potential clinical application in GC diagnosis and prognosis evaluation. It is necessary to further assess and verify the practicability and feasibility of additional specific tsRNAs as GC markers in the future.

Abstract
Objectives To systematically analyze adverse events (AEs) in treatment of spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) with Nusinersen in children and adolescents. Methods The study is registered on PROSPERO (CRD42022345589). Databases were searched and literature relating to Nusinersen in the treatment of spinal muscular atrophy in children from the start of database establishment to December 1, 2022, was retrospectively analyzed. R.3.6.3 statistical software was used, and random effects meta-analysis was performed to calculate weighted mean prevalence and 95% confidence intervals (CI). Results In total, 15 eligible studies were included, with a total of 967 children. Rate of definite Nusinersen-related AEs was 0.57% (95% CI: 0%-3.97%), and probable Nusinersen-related AEs 7.76% (95% CI: 1.85%-17.22%). Overall rate of AEs was 83.51% (95% CI: 73.55%-93.46%), and serious AEs 33.04% (95% CI: 18.15%-49.91%). For main specific AEs, fever was most common, 40.07% (95% CI: 25.14%-56.02%), followed by upper respiratory tract infection 39.94% (95% CI: 29.43%-50.94%), and pneumonia 26.62% (95% CI: 17.99%-36.25%).The difference in overall AE rates between the two groups (Nusinersen group and placebo group) was significant (OR = 0.27,95% CI: 0.08-0.95, P = 0.042). Moreover, incidence of serious adverse events, and fatal adverse events were both significantly lower than in the placebo group (OR = 0.47, 95%CI: 0.32-0.69, P < 0.01), and (OR = 0.37, 95%CI: 0.23-0.59, P < 0.01), respectively. Conclusion Nusinersen direct adverse events are rare, and it can effectively reduces common, serious, and fatal adverse events in children and adolescents with spinal muscular atrophy.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The management of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) has improved dramatically over the past 3 decades and is evolving. Percutaneous coronary intervention is an alternative means of achieving coronary revascularization. Previous studies comparing the published literature on drug-coated balloon (DCB) and drug-eluting stents have drawn divergent conclusions. We perform a protocol for systematic review and meta-analysis to compare the efficacy and safety of DCB and drug-eluting stent in the management of AMI. METHODS This systematic review was registered in the PROSPERO network (registration number: CRD42023397266). We will follow the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analysis Protocol to accomplish the systematic review protocol. A systematic search will be conducted in PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang Database, and Weipu Database without any language restrictions from their inception to February 2022. The risk of bias will be assessed independently by 2 authors using parameters defined in the Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Interventions criteria. Statistical analysis will be performed using the STATA13.0 software (IBM, USA). RESULTS The results of this systematic review and meta-analysis will be publicly available and published in a peer-reviewed journal. CONCLUSION The results of the study will provide the evidence for the application of DCB in the treatment of AMI.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) as postremission treatment is recommended for Philadelphia-positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia (Ph+ ALL) in current guidelines. However, comparisons of later generation tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) plus chemotherapy with allo-HSCT have yielded similar outcomes. This meta-analysis was performed to evaluate allo-HSCT in first complete remission (CR1) versus chemotherapy for adult Ph+ ALL in the TKI era. METHODS Pooled assessment of the hematologic and molecular complete response rates was performed after 3-month TKI treatment. Hazard ratios (HRs) were determined for disease-free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS) benefit with allo-HSCT. The effect of measurable residual disease status on survival benefit was also analyzed. RESULTS Thirty-nine retrospective and prospective single-arm cohort studies involving 5054 patients were included. Combined HRs indicated that in the general population, allo-HSCT favorably influenced DFS and OS. Achieving complete molecular remission (CMR) within 3 months after starting induction was a favorable survival prognostic factor regardless of whether the patient had undergone allo-HSCT. Among the patients with CMR, survival rates in the nontransplant subgroup were comparable with those in the transplant subgroup, with the estimated 5-year OS of 64% versus 58% and 5-year DFS of 58% versus 51%, respectively. The use of next-generation TKIs results in a higher proportion of patients achieving CMR (ponatinib 82% vs. imatinib 53%), while improving survival in nontransplant patients. CONCLUSION Our novel findings suggest that combination chemotherapy plus TKIs leads to a comparable survival benefit as with allo-HSCT for MRD-negative (CMR) patients. This study provides novel evidence for allo-HSCT indications for Ph+ ALL in CR1 in the TKI era.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Asymptomatic SARS-CoV-2 infections have raised concerns for public health policies to manage epidemics. This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to estimate the age-specific proportion of asymptomatic SARS-CoV-2 infected persons globally by year of age. METHODS We searched PubMed, Embase, medRxiv and Google Scholar on September 10, 2020, and March 1, 2021. We included studies conducted during January to December 2020, before routine vaccination against COVID-19. Because we expected the relationship between the asymptomatic proportion and age to be nonlinear, multilevel mixed-effects logistic regression (QR decomposition) with a restricted cubic spline was used to model asymptomatic proportions as a function of age. RESULTS A total of 38 studies were included in the meta-analysis. In total, 6556 of 14,850 cases were reported as asymptomatic. The overall estimate of the proportion of people who became infected with SARS-CoV-2 and remained asymptomatic throughout infection was 44.1% (6556/14,850, 95% CI: 43.3%-45.0%). The predicted asymptomatic proportion peaked in children (36.2%, 95% CI: 26.0%-46.5%) at 13.5 years, gradually decreased by age and was lowest at 90.5 years of age (8.1%, 95% CI: 3.4%-12.7%). CONCLUSIONS Given the high rates of asymptomatic carriage in adolescents and young adults and their active role in virus transmission in the community, heightened vigilance and public health strategies are needed among these individuals to prevent disease transmission.

Abstract
Objectives Dysphagia is a major cause of stroke infection and death, and identification of structural and functional brain area changes associated with post-stroke dysphagia (PSD) can help in early screening and clinical intervention. Studies on PSD have reported numerous structural lesions and functional abnormalities in brain regions, and a systematic review is lacking. We aimed to integrate several neuroimaging studies to summarize the empirical evidence of neurological changes leading to PSD. Methods We conducted a systematic review of studies that used structural neuroimaging and functional neuroimaging approaches to explore structural and functional brain regions associated with swallowing after stroke, with additional evidence using a live activation likelihood estimation (ALE) approach. Results A total of 35 studies were included, including 20 studies with structural neuroimaging analysis, 14 studies with functional neuroimaging analysis and one study reporting results for both. The overall results suggest that structural lesions and functional abnormalities in the sensorimotor cortex, insula, cerebellum, cingulate gyrus, thalamus, basal ganglia, and associated white matter connections in individuals with stroke may contribute to dysphagia, and the ALE analysis provides additional evidence for structural lesions in the right lentiform nucleus and right thalamus and functional abnormalities in the left thalamus. Conclusion Our findings suggest that PSD is associated with neurological changes in brain regions such as sensorimotor cortex, insula, cerebellum, cingulate gyrus, thalamus, basal ganglia, and associated white matter connections. Adequate understanding of the mechanisms of neural changes in the post-stroke swallowing network may assist in clinical diagnosis and provide ideas for the development of new interventions in clinical practice.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a frequent endocrine disorder in women, it is the principal cause of infertility and amenorrhea. Due to its high recurrence rate, poor prognosis and serious complications, more works on the research of PCOS are needed. Therefore, we performed a protocol for systematic review and meta-analysis to investigate the efficacy and safety of glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists on ovarian dysfunction in PCOS. METHODS This study protocol has been registered in the PROSPERO and the registration number is CRD42020188247. The procedure of this protocol will be conducted according to the Preferred Reporting Item for Systematic Review and Meta-analysis Protocols guidance. A comprehensive search of several databases from 1966 to November 2022 will be conducted. The databases includes Ovid Medline In-Process & Other Non-Indexed Citations, Ovid MEDLINE, Ovid EMBASE, Ovid Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, Ovid Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, and PubMed. The risk of bias of the included studies will be assessed using the Cochrane tool of risk of bias. All statistical analyses will be conducted using the software program Review Manager version 5.3. RESULTS The results of this systematic review will be published in a peer-reviewed journal. CONCLUSION This systematic review will provide evidence to judge whether glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist is superior to metformin in patients with PCOS.

Abstract
Background With the development of rehabilitation medicine, exercise therapy has gradually become one of the methods to prevent and treat cardiovascular diseases. It is widely used in clinic because it can further reduce the mortality rate, improve clinical symptoms, restore the activity ability of the body, improve the quality of life of patients and reduce the hospitalization rate. Traditional Chinese exercises have developed rapidly in recent years, which mainly include Baduanjin, Tai Ji, etc. However, meta-analyses of all types of exercises are not well characterized. Objectives To evaluate the effect of traditional Chinese exercises (TCEs) on the rehabilitation of patients with chronic heart failure (CHF) using a meta-analysis. Methods A systematic search of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) on TCEs for patients with CHF in 13 databases (PubMed, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, etc.). Meta-analysis was performed using Review Manager software (version 5.3) after two investigators independently screened the studies, assessed the quality of the studies, and extracted the data. Results Meta-analysis of 21 randomized controlled trials which involved 1,665 patients with chronic heart failure showed that practicing TCEs was effective in improving patients' physiological outcomes such as VO2max [MD = 2.14, 95% CI (1.02, 3.26), P < 0.001], AT [MD = 1.61, 95% CI (1.06, 2.16), P < 0.001], and left ventricular ejection fraction [MD = 2.60, 95% CI (1.17, 4.02), P < 0.001]. Non-physiological outcomes benefited from the application of TCEs: 6-min walking distance [MD = 38.55, 95% CI (36.67, 40.42), P < 0.001], quality of life [MD = 5.52, 95% CI (3.17, 7.88), P < 0.001], and single-item TCM symptom scores in CHF patients: tiredness and fatigue [MD = 0.78, 95% CI (0.03, 1.53), P = 0.04], shortness of breath [MD = 0.44,95% CI (0.26, 0.62), P < 0.0001], facial puffiness and limb swelling [MD = 0.44,95% CI (0.12, 0.76), P = 0.007], palpitations [MD = 0.68,95% CI (0.14, 1.21), P = 0.01] were improved. Conclusions TCEs improved several recovery indicators, heart failure-related clinical symptoms, quality of life, and physiological indicators in patients with CHF. It is worthwhile to expand the participants for practical application in clinical practice, but the existing evidence is insufficient and the heterogeneity of outcome is large. Abstract
Introduction: Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is a rare and progressive disease. Some patients treated with phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors (PDE-5is) fail to reach treatment goals. As a novel soluble guanylate cyclase agonist, riociguat acts on the same pathway as PDE-5is but functions via different mechanisms. Whether riociguat is more effective and safer than PDE-5is is ambiguous. We aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of switching from PDE-5is to riociguat among these patients. Methods: Original published articles were retrieved from PubMed/Medline, Embase, Web of Science, Open Grey and Google Scholar. Studies that assessed the World Health Organization functional class (WHO-FC), 6-min walking distance (6MWD), pulmonary vascular resistance (PVR), mean pulmonary arterial pressure (mPAP), cardiac index (CI) and N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) were collected. Adverse events after switching were evaluated. Results: Ten published studies were included. Compared to PDE-5is, riociguat significantly increased the 6MWD by 26.45 m weighted mean difference (WMD) = 26.45 m, 95% confidence intervals (CIs): 9.70-43.2 m, p = 0.002) and improved mPAP (WMD = -3.53, 95% CIs: -5.62-1.44 mmHg, p = 0.0009), PVR (WMD = -130.24 dyn·s·cm-5, 95% CI -187.43-73.05, p < 0.0001), CIs (WMD = 0.36 L/min·cm-2, 95% CIs: 0.25-0.47, p < 0.00001) and WHO-FC (OR = 0.11, 95% CIs: 0.08-0.16, p < 0.0001) but not NT-proBNP. In addition, we did not observe the most common side effects during the replacement of riociguat for PDE-5is. Conclusions: PAH patients benefit from PDE-5is compared to riociguat, including in hemodynamic parameters, 6MWD, WHO-FC and biomarkers.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To systematically evaluate the clinical efficacy of acupuncture combined with paroxetine in the treatment of depression. METHODS The research literature on the treatment of depression with acupuncture and moxibustion combined with paroxetine was collected using keywords in PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, CNKI, World Wide Web, Chinese Biomedical Literature and other public publication databases. Collaborative screening of literature was performed according to pre-established inclusion and exclusion criteria. The data in the literature were extracted, the quality of the literature was evaluated, and the RevMan software was used for statistical analysis. RESULTS This study finally included 21 research papers involving 1733 clinical patients. The main evaluation indicators for clinical patients were Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAMD), total clinical response rate, Rating Scale for Side Effects (SERS) and Treatment Emergent Symptom Scale (TESS). SERS was developed by Asberg. The Chinese version was revised by Zhang Mingyuan (Chairman of the Chinese Medical Association Mental Health Society) et al. The SERS is divided into 14 items, all of which use a 4-point scoring method (none, mild, moderate and severe, respectively). This scale is mainly used to assess the side effects of antidepressants. TESS was compiled by the NIMH of the United States in 1973. It has the most comprehensive items and the widest coverage among the scales of its kind, including not only common adverse symptoms and signs, but also several laboratory test results. Meta-analysis of the above results showed that compared with the control group, the acupuncture combined with paroxetine treatment group showed lower HAMD score (WMD=-4.18 [-5.04, -3.31], P<0.001), higher total response rate (OR=4.01 [3.01, 5.33], P<0.001), lower SERS score (WMD=-2.54 [-4.58, -0.51], P<0.001) and lower TESS score (WMD=-4.39 [-5.15, -3.62], P<0.001), and the differences were statistically significant. CONCLUSION The therapeutic effect of acupuncture combined with paroxetine on depression is better than that of conventional drug treatment, and its safety is comparable to that of conventional treatment.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Tension-type headache (TTH) refers to a type of functionalism disease, which is commonly characterized by recurrent headaches of mild to moderate intensity, bilateral location, pressing or tightening quality, and no aggravation by routine physical activity. Has significantly impacts on people's work and life. Ear acupuncture as a traditional Chinese therapy, showing several advantages (e.g., safety, economy, and less side effects), has been extensively used to treat TTH. However, its curative effect is supported by limited evidence. Accordingly, the present study aims to comprehensively assess the reliability of ear acupuncture in TTH. METHODS AND ANALYSIS The study will conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis. Seven databases, including the Embase, Cochrane Library, Pubmed, SinoMed, CNKI, VIP, and Wanfang Data, will be searched using predefined search terms to identify relevant studies. The primary outcomes will be the pain intensity, the pain frequency and the impact of headache. The methodological quality of the included studies will be assessed with a previously established checklist. The Cochrane Collaboration's bias risk tool will be used for assessing the bias of included RCTs. Stata 17.0 software is used for meta-analysis.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Studying sex differences in the efficacy of immunotherapy may contribute to the practice of the precision medicine, especially in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), a kind of cancer with sexual bimorphism. METHODS Published randomized controlled trials (RCTs), published by PubMed, Medline, Embase, and Scopus, before 15 June 2022, testing immunotherapy (CTLA-4 or PD-1/L1 inhibitor alone, combination or with chemotherapy) versus non-immunotherapy (receiving chemotherapy or placebo only) were included to assess different efficacy between males and females. The primary endpoint was overall survival (OS). This meta-analysis was registered with PROSPERO (CRD42022298439). RESULTS Sixteen RCTs, involving 10,155 patients with advanced NSCLC, was collected in this meta-analysis. The pooled HR comparing immunotherapy vs non-immunotherapy were 0.76 (95%CI 0.71-0.81) for males and 0.74 (95%CI 0.63-0.87) for females. The pooled HRs comparing immune-checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) plus chemotherapy versus chemotherapy were 0.79 (95%CI 0.70-0.89) for males and 0.63 (95%CI 0.42-0.92) for females. The pooled HRs comparing ICIs versus chemotherapy were 0.74 (95%CI 0.67-0.81) for males and 0.83 (95%CI 0.73-0.95) for females. In squamous NSCLC, the pooled HRs comparing immunotherapy vs non-immunotherapy were 0.73 (95%CI 0.58-0.91) for males and 0.74 (95%CI 0.37-1.48) for females. In non-squamous NSCLC, the pooled HRs comparing immunotherapy versus non-immunotherapy were 0.62 (95%CI 0.71-0.94) for males and 0.59 (95%CI 0.39-0.89) for females. CONCLUSION Compared to chemotherapy, immunotherapy can improve the prognosis of patients with advanced NSCLC. Meanwhile, there are sex differences in the efficacy of immunotherapy.KEY MESSAGECompared to chemotherapy, immunotherapy can improve the prognosis of patients with advanced NSCLC.The most interesting thing in this study is that immunotherapy showed significant sex differences in the treatment of squamous NSCLC.

Abstract
Although many studies of long COVID-19 were reported, there was a lack of systematic research which assessed the differences of long COVID-19 in regard to what unique SARS-CoV-2 strains caused it. As such, this systematic review and meta-analysis aims to evaluate the characteristics of long COVID-19 that is caused by different SARS-CoV-2 strains. We systematically searched the PubMed, EMBASE, and ScienceDirect databases in order to find cohort studies of long COVID-19 as defined by the WHO (Geneva, Switzerland). The main outcomes were in determining the percentages of long COVID-19 among patients who were infected with different SARS-CoV-2 strains. Further, this study was registered in PROSPERO (CRD42022339964). A total of 51 studies with 33,573 patients was included, of which three studies possessed the Alpha and Delta variants, and five studies possessed the Omicron variant. The highest pooled estimate of long COVID-19 was found in the CT abnormalities (60.5%; 95% CI: 40.4%, 80.6%) for the wild-type strain; fatigue (66.1%; 95% CI: 42.2%, 89.9%) for the Alpha variant; and ≥1 general symptoms (28.4%; 95% CI: 7.9%, 49.0%) for the Omicron variant. The pooled estimates of ≥1 general symptoms (65.8%; 95% CI: 47.7%, 83.9%) and fatigue were the highest symptoms found among patients infected with the Alpha variant, followed by the wild-type strain, and then the Omicron variant. The pooled estimate of myalgia was highest among patients infected with the Omicron variant (11.7%; 95%: 8.3%, 15.1%), compared with those infected with the wild-type strain (9.4%; 95%: 6.3%, 12.5%). The pooled estimate of sleep difficulty was lowest among the patients infected with the Delta variant (2.5%; 95%: 0.2%, 4.9%) when compared with those infected with the wild-type strain (24.5%; 95%: 17.5%, 31.5%) and the Omicron variant (18.7%; 95%: 1.0%, 36.5%). The findings of this study suggest that there is no significant difference between long COVID-19 that has been caused by different strains, except in certain general symptoms (i.e., in the Alpha or Omicron variant) and in sleep difficulty (i.e., the wild-type strain). In the context of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and its emerging variants, directing more attention to long COVID-19 that is caused by unique strains, as well as implementing targeted intervention measures to address it are vital.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The efficacy of the whole-body vibration (WBV) training for patients with patellofemoral pain (PFP) remains controversial. For this reason, we applied a meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) to evaluate the efficacy of WBV training in patients with PFP. METHODS Relevant studies found within PubMed, EMBASE, the Cochrane Library and Web of Science were examined from January 1, 1990 to December 30, 2021. Two evaluators independently screened the literatures, extracted relevant data and assessed the methodological quality of respective studies. Meta-analysis was conducted using RevMan 5.4 software. RESULTS A total of 5 RCTs with 174 patients were included. When comparing with exercise alone, WBV training in combination with exercise provided better reduction of pain assessed by visual analogue scale score (P = .04). There were no differences regarding changes of Kujala patellofemoral score, the physical component summary score for physical health, and the mental component summary score for mental health (P = .08, 0.76, 0.65 respectively) between patients with WBV training and those without WBV training. CONCLUSIONS Compared to the sole performance of exercise, WBV training in combination with exercise showed better pain reduction, but no superior improvement in function and on quality of life.

Abstract
BACKGROUND As a major public health problem, insomnia has garnered much attention. Acupuncture, with dialectical acupoint selection (DAS), has been proved to be effective for insomnia, but there is no evidence of evidence-based medicine to prove the efficacy of Lingguibafa acupoint selection (LAS) for insomnia. This study is to evaluate the clinical efficacy of acupuncture with LAS in patient with insomnia. METHODS The PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, Cochrane Library, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Weipu Database for Chinese Technical Periodicals, Chinese Biomedical Database, and Wanfang Database were systematically searched from the inception dates to December 18, 2021. Randomized controlled trials of acupuncture with LAS versus acupuncture with DAS or acupuncture with LAS plus DAS versus acupuncture with DAS in patient with insomnia were included. Two review authors independently performed the data extraction and assessed study quality. A meta-analysis was performed using random-effects models to calculate relative risk and weighted mean difference for categorical and continuous variables, respectively. The primary efficacy outcome was improvement on Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). Secondary outcomes included insomnia severity index, Epworth sleepiness scale, Hamilton anxiety scale, Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD), and total effective rate. RESULTS A total of 7 trials with 468 patients fulfilled the selection criteria. The pooled results indicated that acupuncture with LAS plus DAS could reduce PSQI score by 2.08 (1.60 after excluding heterogeneity) compared to acupuncture with DAS. Acupuncture with LAS plus DAS had high reliability in sleep quality, sleep latency, sleep time and daytime function, but showed no significant effect on sleep disorder and hypnotic drug. For total effective rate, acupuncture with LAS plus DAS or acupuncture with LAS was better than acupuncture with DAS, but the conclusion was less credible. CONCLUSION Acupuncture with LAS is significantly associated with improvements in several sleep parameters, primarily evident on the PSQI score. Nevertheless, considering the poor methodological quality, trials employing appropriate randomization concealment and blinding based on a larger sample size are needed in the future.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Refractory hypoxemia episodes are characteristic of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Patients with OSA suffer from oxidative stress in all systems. Atrial fibrillation (AF) is a type of arrhythmia that may be induced by OSA. In this study, we explored the dose-response relationship between OSA and AF. Our research provides the basis for a novel approach to AF prevention. METHODS We screened four databases (PubMed, Embase, the Cochrane Library, and Web of Science) for observational studies on OSA and AF. Studies were collected from database establishment to November 2020. We performed a traditional subgroup meta-analysis. Linear and spline dose-response models were applied to assess the association between the apnea-hypopnea index, an indicator of OSA severity, and the risk of AF. Review Manager version 5.3 software and Stata 16.0 were used for the analysis. RESULTS Sixteen observational studies were included in the study. We excluded a study from the conventional meta-analysis. In the subgroup analysis, the odds ratios for new onset AF for no obvious reason, new onset AF after surgical operations, such as coronary artery bypass grafting, and AF after ablation treatment were 1.71 (95% CI 1.37-2.13, P < .05), 2.65 (95% CI 2.32-3.01, P < .05), and 2.93 (95% CI 2.47-3.49, P < .05), respectively. Linear dose-response meta-analysis results revealed that the risk of AF increased with increasing apnea-hypopnea index value. CONCLUSION Through dose-response meta-analysis, we found a potential dose-response relationship between OSA severity and the risk of AF. This relationship should be considered in interventions aimed at AF prevention in the future.

Abstract
Background Acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM) is a rare demyelinating disorder that is often misdiagnosed. To improve early diagnosis, we performed a systematic review and meta-analysis of clinical features, outcomes for ADEM in adults. Methods The PubMed, Embase, Web of Science and Cochrane Library databases were searched for studies reporting the clinical features of adults with ADEM between January 1990 and May 2021. A random-effects meta-analysis model was used to pool data on clinical features and functional outcomes. Results Twelve studies examining 437 adults with ADEM met the inclusion criteria. Overall, the clinical features and diagnostic findings observed in more than two-thirds of the patients were white matter lesions [87.1%, 95% confidence interval (CI)=75-95.6], polyfocal onset (80.5%, 95% CI=50.5-98.9) and pyramidal signs (68.7%, 95% CI =40.0-91.9). The mortality rate was 7.8% (95% CI = 3.3–13.5), and the risk of residual deficits was 47.5% (95% CI = 31.8–63.4). Conclusions Adults with ADEM had worse outcomes than children. Clinicians should maintain high clinical suspicion for patients presenting with certain clinical features and diagnostic findings.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Homocysteine (Hcy) has been confirmed to be associated with depression, but its relationship with poststroke depression (PSD) remains controversial. So far, there is no meta-analysis of the correlation between Hcy level in acute stroke and PSD. METHODS A systematic search of a sub-database of studies reporting the level of Hcy in the acute phase of ischemic stroke and PSD as of November 2021 was performed. Data extraction was performed strictly according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. All data were analyzed using STATA 11.0. The standardized root mean square difference (SMD) and 95% confidence interval (CI) were used to compare continuous variables. RESULTS A total of 11 studies were included in this study, including 2789 participants. The results of this meta-analysis showed that admission the levels of Hcy were significantly higher in PSD survivors, compared to non-PSD survivors (SMD = 0.37, 95%CI = 0.07-0.66, P < .001). Subgroup analysis showed that survivors with PSD diagnosed more than 3 months after stroke had significantly different the levels of from non-PSD survivors (6 months: SMD = 0.61, 95%CI = 0.40-0.82, 9 months: SMD = 1.00, 95%CI = 0.59-1.41). CONCLUSION The level of Hcy in the acute phase of ischemic stroke is a risk factor for PSD.

Abstract
Background As a metastasis cancer that happens up to 70% of the cancer patients, spinal metastasis is drawing attention for its significant impairment to health. There exist several predictive models designed to estimate mortality in spinal metastasis patients but they are reported with limited accuracy. In recent years, some retrospective cohort studies have been carried out to associate sarcopenia with mortality in spinal metastasis. Introduction As a risk factor leading to adverse events in many diseases, sarcopenia was considered to significantly impact on patients with spinal metastasis in mortality by some scientists. We aimed to look through the current evidence and use statistic measures to value the role of sarcopenia in spinal metastasis. In this study, we are going to perform a systematic review and meta-analysis of available retrospective cohort studies where sarcopenia is assessed for outcomes in spinal metastasis patients. Methods On October 7, 2021, we performed a search in PubMed, Embase, and the Cochrane Library. We set no restrictions on language, date or areas. Results were expressed as hazard ratio (HR) or odds ratio (OR) with 95% CI by random effects model. Sensitivity analyses were performed to explore sources of heterogeneity and stability of results. Results Of the 4,196 papers screened, 10 retrospective cohort studies were included, with a total of 1,674 patients. Results showed that sarcopenia was associated with higher overall mortality (OR, 1.60; 95% CI 1.35–1.90) and lower overall survival (HR, 2.08; 95% CI 1.55–2.80). The sensitivity analysis proved the stability of results in terms of publication years, region, time of diagnosis, sample size, female rate, measurement and follow up period. Conclusions Sarcopenia is a robust indicator of mortality in spinal metastasis patients and it might be applied to decision-making tools to assess survival probability and adjust the extent of treatment, while a lack of higher level of evidence is existing. Abstract
CONTEXT The prevalence of sarcopenia in patients with diabetes is 3 times higher than that in patients without diabetes and is associated with a poor prognosis. OBJECTIVE To investigate the global pooled prevalence and risk factors of sarcopenia in patients with diabetes. DATA SOURCES Relevant studies published until November 30, 2020, were identified from the PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, WanFang, CNKI, VIP, and CBM databases. STUDY SELECTION Participants with age ≥ 18 years with clinically diagnosed diabetes. Sex and diabetes type were not restricted. DATA EXTRACTION The data were extracted by 2 reviewers independently using a standard data collection form. DATA SYNTHESIS The pooled prevalence of sarcopenia in patients with diabetes was 18% (95% CI, 16-20); subgroup analysis showed that sarcopenia was more prevalent in males than in females, as well as being more prevalent in Asia than in South America and Oceania. Age (odds ratio [OR], 1.10), glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) (OR = 1.16), visceral fat area (VFA) (OR = 1.03), diabetic nephropathy (OR = 2.54), duration of diabetes (OR = 1.06), and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) (OR = 1.33) were risk factors for sarcopenia in patients with diabetes. CONCLUSIONS Sarcopenia was more prevalent in patients with diabetes. Age, HbA1c, VFA, diabetic nephropathy, duration of diabetes, and hs-CRP were the probable risk factors. In the future, medical staff should not only pay attention to the early screening of sarcopenia in high-risk groups, but also provide information on its prevention.

Abstract
BACKGROUND In septic shock cases, tachycardia and a hyperdynamic hemodynamic profile are characteristics of the condition. It has been reported that using beta antagonist esmolol constitutes a form of treatment to reduce heart rate to improve diastolic filling time and elevate cardiac output, which reduces vasopressor support. Still, there are controversial results. Therefore, in this study, the primary objective is to perform a meta-analysis by systematically evaluating the efficiency and security of using esmolol to treat septic shocks. METHODS A systematic literature search for relevant randomized controlled trials that report evaluations on the efficiency and safety of using esmolol to treat septic shock patients from their inception to February 2022 will be conducted in three databases containing publications in Chinese language (WanFang, Chinese BioMedical Literature Database, and China National Knowledge Infrastructure) and four databases containing English language publications (Cochrane Library, PubMed, Web of Science, and EMBASE). The screening of the relevant studies will be performed by a pair of authors independently, and the screening involves examining the title, abstract and full-text stages, data extraction, and bias risk assessment. The results are summarized through the fixed-effects and random-effects models, the respective models will be utilized for data pooling according to the heterogeneity of studies that will be included. Moreover, publication bias is assessed if more than ten studies are considered. RESULTS The results are a high-quality synthesis of the most recent evidence for esmolol usage in septic shock treatment. CONCLUSION Up-to-date evidence will be provided through the results of this systematic review related to assessing the efficacy and safeness of esmolol usage in treating septic shock. Abstract
BACKGROUND Coronary heart disease (CHD) patients are categorized by occlusion or vascular stenosis leading to myocardial ischemia, hypoxia, and necrosis. In clinical cardiovascular, CHD remains as a leading disease that is primarily prevalent among older people and mid-aged groups. CHD has a drastic impact on their life standard, and is known to have debilitating effects on both mental and physical wellbeing. As a Chinese patent medicine, compound Danshen dripping pills (CDDPs) are commonly administered to treat CHD in China. Despite the common intake of CDDPs, there is a lack of evidence-based clinical practice to inform its efficacy and safety through related systematic reviews. Therefore, the present protocol proposes to conduct a meta-analysis aiming to evaluate the effectivity and safeness of using CDDP for treating CHD patients. METHODS Randomized controlled trials that have evaluated the efficacy and safety of CDDP for treating CHD patients will be searched in MEDLINE, Cochrane Library, EMBASE, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, and WanFang databases. The search will include all related articles published till January 3, 2022. The extracted data will include information on study design, characteristics of the participants, details on intervention, and outcomes. Cochrane risk of bias tool will be employed to assess the quality of the trials. We will use either a random-effects model or fixed-effects model to pool the data. We will present the results as a risk ratio for dichotomous data and weighted mean difference for continuous data. We will visualize publication bias using funnel plots. Abstract
BACKGROUND Coronary heart disease (CHD) has a high incidence rate as a cardiovascular condition, primarily affecting the elderly and middle-aged individuals. CHD has debilitating effects on the standard of life of the elderly, and affecting their physical and psychological health. Reportedly, using aspirin alone is less effective as a first line of treatment for CHD. Therefore, this systematic review and meta-analysis will synthesize evidence on the effectiveness and safeness of aspirin combination treatment in treating patients with CHD. METHODS A comprehensive meta-analysis is to be performed to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of aspirin combination treatment for CHD patients. A search will be performed on PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Central, WanFang, and Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure till December 25, 2021 to identify randomized controlled trials, assess all related studies on the aspirin combination treatment in treating patients with CHD. In this systematic review, we will adopt the second version of Cochrane risk of bias assessment tool to assess the bias risk in all studies that fulfil the eligibility conditions. Two authors will separately conduct the study selection process, risk of bias assessment, and data extraction. Moreover, a random-effects meta-analysis will be conducted to synthesize evidence for all outcomes. Provided there is sufficient homogeneity among the studies, we will perform meta-analysis. Abstract
A large number of researches on the electroless plating of carbon nanotubes and their applications after plating have emerged, which has attracted more and more attention. In this review article, the existing electroless plating methods for carbon nanotubes were briefly summarized, and the surface coatings were listed and analyzed in detail. At last, the related applications after electroless metal/alloy coatings of carbon nanotubes were discussed in detail. This study aims to provide a reference for the research and improvement of different electroless metals/alloys coatings of carbon nanotubes. After a clear understanding of the electroless metal/alloy coatings of carbon nanotubes, the appropriate coating can be selected according to the actual situation, so that the carbon nanotubes after plating can be used as reinforcement and modification materials for better satisfaction of the needs, and the application of plated carbon nanotubes has reference significance in more fields.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES Strokes are among the leading conditions that lead to disability and death. Currently, there is a lack of ideal nursing care for stroke patients. The aim of this study is to assess the effect of combining evidence-based nursing and clinical nursing pathway to establish a nursing model to provide care for patients who suffered a stroke. METHODS A comprehensive search of online-based databases will be carried out to identify relevant publications, the databases include EMBASE, Cochrane Library, PubMed, VIP databases, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure, and WanFang database. The search will consider all Randomized Controlled Trials, interrupted time series studies, and controlled before and after studies, all related to providing care for neurology and strokes by combining evidence-based nursing and clinical nursing pathway to elevate access and outcomes for patients with stroke. The language of publications will be restricted to English and Chinese. The author will select studies, extract data, and evaluate the quality of the involved articles. RevMan 5.3 software will be employed to perform all statistical analysis. RESULTS The outcomes of the proposed study will provide scientific evidence for the nursing care of evidence-based nursing combined with clinical nursing pathway for stroke patients. Abstract
BACKGROUND Rotavirus vaccination has been proven to effectively protect against rotavirus gastroenteritis. However, there are concerns about the relationship between rotavirus vaccination and the risk of autoimmune disorders. Thus, we conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to comprehensively assess the association between rotavirus vaccination and type 1 diabetes (T1D) or celiac disease (CD) risk. METHODS A systematic review and meta-analysis were conducted to evaluate the type 1 diabetes or celiac disease associated with rotavirus vaccination. The following journal databases were searched to identify potential studies for inclusion: PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library databases. RESULTS Seven articles involving more than 5,793,055 children were included. Our results showed that rotavirus vaccination does not alter the subsequent risk of T1D (RR 0.94, 95% CI: 0.82-1.09) or CD (RR 0.86, 95% CI: 0.64-1.17) after vaccination. Furthermore, the risk of T1D was not increased or decreased for children fully exposed to rotavirus vaccination (RR 0.86, 95% CI, 0.54-1.36) and for children partially exposed to rotavirus vaccination (RR 1.05, 95% CI, 0.87-1.26). However, younger (<5 years) vaccinated children at the end of study (RR 0.84, 95% CI = 0.75-0.95) may be at a lower risk for T1D than older (≥5 years) vaccinated children (RR 0.93, 95% CI, 0.81-1.07). CONCLUSION The findings of this study suggest that rotavirus vaccination does not appear to be associated with T1D or CD in children. The protective effect of rotavirus vaccination on T1D may be presented by time dependent.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Alzheimer disease (AD) is a common degenerative disease of the central nervous system that can be divided into 3 stages, according to the degree of cognitive impairment. The clinical manifestations are cognitive dysfunction and memory loss, impacting the daily activities of the affected individuals. In recent years, studies have demonstrated a relationship between intestinal flora and AD. However, no meta-analysis has documented the correlation between AD and intestinal flora, to the best of our knowledge. Herein, we sought to assess the correlation between different stages of AD and intestinal flora. A systematic and comprehensive understanding of this relationship is of great significance for developing prevention and treatment strategies against AD. METHODS A comprehensive search of the medical literature in Chinese and English language was performed in databases, such as PubMed, EBSCO, CNKI, web of science, WanFang, Cochrane Library, and CBM databases. Pre-defined search strategies were used to retrieve clinical studies of Alzheimer disease and gut microbiota. The included studies were independently analyzed by the 2 researchers who extracted the data. The quality of the data was evaluated according to the "Cochrane system evaluator manual." Finally, Endnote and RevMan software were used for systematic regression and meta-analysis of evidence. RESULTS We documented the intestinal flora changes in the 3 stages of Alzheimer disease, according to currently available clinical evidence, and revealed the correlation between the abundance and diversity of flora and treatment efficacy. These findings are essential for developing new strategies for the prevention and treatment of Alzheimer disease. INPLASY REGISTRATION NUMBER INPLASY2021100093. Abstract
BACKGROUND: Kinesio taping (KT) is a relatively new treatment method for chronic low back pain (CLBP). The effectiveness of KT as an adjunct to physical therapy (PT) for CLBP remains controversial. OBJECTIVE: The aim of this updated meta-analysis was to critically examine and evaluate the evidence of recent randomized controlled trials regarding the effectiveness of KT as an adjunct to PT for CLBP for at least 2 weeks. METHODS: This systematic review and meta-analysis was written following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) statement guidelines. Seven electronic databases including Web of Science, Embase, PubMed, Wanfang Data, Scopus, Science Direct, Cochrane Library were searched in September 2020 by two independent reviewers. The risk of bias was assessed using the Cochrane Collaboration's tool. Data analysis was performed with Review Manager Software. RESULTS: Twelve randomized controlled trials with a total of 676 patients were included in our study. Mean improvements were significantly higher in the KT+PT group than the PT group for pain score (SMD, 0.73 [95% CI, 0.37–1.08], P < .00001) and disability (SMD, 1.01 [95% CI, 0.42–1.59], P = .0007). Of 12 studies based on the pain score, 7 reported KT+PT patients to have significantly less pain at latest follow-up when compared with PA patients (P < .05). Of 11 studies based on the disability, 8 reported KT+PT patients to have significantly better improvements at latest follow-up when compared with PA patients (P < .05). CONCLUSION: Kinesio taping combined with physical therapy provided better therapeutic effects regarding pain reduction and disability improvement compared with physical therapy alone in individuals with chronic low back pain. Limitation: 1. Included studies and sample sizes were small and most studies were with moderate evidence level; 2. several important outcomes such as range of motion and distance walked were lack; 3. heterogeneity among the included studies was unavoidable.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Several studies have evaluated the association between thermal insulation (TI) and control after surgery, with various research designs, recruitment and exclusion criteria, and measurements. The current meta-analysis aimed to assess the correlation between TI and stroke during recovery from anesthesia. METHODS We searched for full-text articles of us of TI during anesthesia recovery in multiple databases including PubMed, Springer, EMBASE and Chinese journal full-text databases. Two reviewers read each article and extracted the relevant data of into a Microsoft Excel table: name of the first author, publication year, year of onset, sample size (TI/control group), patient age range, and other information related to TI patients and control group. The meta-analysis, sensitivity analysis and bias analysis were performed using Review Manager 5.0. RESULTS A total of 723 patients from 7 studies met the eligibility criteria and were included in the final analysis. The meta-analysis showed that the recovery time after anesthesia in the TI group was significantly different from that in the control group [mean difference (MD) =-7.02, 95% confidence interval (CI): -10.10 to -3.95, P<0.00001; P for heterogeneity <0.00001, I2=99%], length of stay in Postanesthesia Care Unit (PACU) score [MD =-20.78, 95% CI: -31.32 to -10.24, P=0.0001; P for heterogeneity <0.00001, I2=92%] and shivering rate [relative risk (RR) =0.25, 95% CI: 0.08 to 0.77, P=0.02; P for heterogeneity =0.07, I2=71%]. DISCUSSION TI is an important measure during recovery from anesthesia.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Precision hepatectomy for primary liver cancer has been widely used in clinical practice. As an effective nutritional supplement to prevent endotoxemia and hepatic impairment, microecological agents have been used together with traditional enteral nutritional support substances in several clinical studies. METHODS Chinese and English databases were searched using the terms "hepatocellular carcinoma", "hepatectomy", "microecological agents", and "microecological regulators". The search terms were "hepatocellular carcinoma", "liver resection", "microecological agents", and "microecological regulators". Meta-analysis was performed using Rev Man 5.3 and Stata 13 software provided by the Cochrane system. RESULTS Eleven randomized controlled trials (RCTs) were included in this study. Of these, all 11 described the correct method of random assignment; 8 described in detail the concealment of the assignment scheme; and 9 used blinding methods in the research. Microecological agents significantly reduced total bilirubin (TBIL) levels [mean difference (MD)=-0.10, 95% confidence interval (CI): (-0.14, -0.06), P<0.00001] of patients after hepatectomy. The alanine transaminase (ALT) levels [MD =-3.65, 95% CI: (-14.65, 7.34), P=0.52], aspartate aminotransferase (AST) levels [MD =-0.64, 95% CI: (-6.87, 5.58), P=0.84], prothrombin level [MD=1, 95% CI: (-2.57, 4.57), P=0.58], and C-reactive protein (CRP) level [MD =-0.28, 95% CI: (-3.01, 2.45), P=0.84] among the included articles were statistically significant. However, probiotics could significantly reduce the risk of postoperative infection in patients with liver cancer (MD =0.23, 95% CI: (0.07, 0.79), P=0.02 <0.05), and did not significantly increase the risk of complications in patients with liver cancer [odds ratio (OR) =0.82, 95% CI: (0.38, 1.77), P=0.61]. DISCUSSION This study used meta-analysis to confirm that microecological agents can significantly improve the immune function of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma, and have alleviating effects on endotoxemia and hyperbilirubinemia.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) has been shown to be an effective, reliable and practical clinical nursing method to support operations on a range of physiological systems, but its effects on robotic radical prostatectomy (RRP) are still unclear. This study assesses the clinical effects of ERAS in RRP. METHODS Various databases including PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science and China National Knowledge were searched for relevant studies, in particular full-text articles comparing ERAS groups and conventional groups for RRP. All included articles were subject to a quality assessment, and the data analysis was conducted with Review Manager (5.3). Forest plots, sensitivity analyses, and bias analyses were also prepared based on the included articles. RESULTS In total, 8 studies were identified that met the inclusion criteria. The results showed that ERAS groups exhibited significantly reduced time of flatus [mean difference (MD) =-0.58; 95% confidence interval (CI): -0.88, -0.29; P=0.0001], time of catheter removal (MD =-1.65; 95% CI: -2.15, -1.16; P<0.00001), and length of stay (LOS) (MD =-1.49; 95% CI: -2.65, -0.34; P=0.01), and there was no significant difference in terms of postoperative complications between ERAS groups and conventional groups (P=0.07). DISCUSSION This study provides further evidence that ERAS improves postoperative recovery in patients undergoing RRP through reduced time of first flatus, time of catheter removal and LOS. Given the limited quality and quantity of the articles included in this study, further work is needed to validate these findings.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Since there are several articles reporting self-management for adults with epilepsy, we conduct this comprehensive analysis to evaluate the clinical effects of self-management (SM) for adult patients with epilepsy. METHODS Multiple databases were searched for relevant studies, and full-text articles involved in the comparison between self-management and controls were reviewed. We analyzed the bias of the included articles. Review Manager 5.2 was then used to evaluate the heterogeneity of results in the selected articles. The forest map and sensitivity analysis were made. RESULTS Eventually, eight studies involving 1,466 patients satisfied the eligibility criteria. The samples of self-management and control groups were 733 and 733 respectively. The results of heterogeneity testing suggested that self-management had higher indicators than the control group, including Quality of Life Scale for Patients with Epilepsy (QOLIE-31) [the overall mean difference was 2.76 with 95% CI (0.24, 5.29). The P value of overall effect was 0.03, I2=68%], Satisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS) [MD =0.44, 95% CI: (0.22, 0.65), P<0.0001], fixed effect model and the included studies were of low homogeneity (P=0.93, I2=0%), and Epilepsy Self-Management Scale (ESMS) [MD =0.13, 95% CI: (-0.02, 0.23), P=0.02, fixed effect model with insignificant heterogeneity I2=13%]. DISCUSSION The results of our study suggested self-management might be an effective intervention for adult patients with epilepsy.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Osteoarthritis (OA) has been identified as a common musculoskeletal condition. As a chronic condition, OA adversely impact the hip and knee joints. Surgical treatment for hip and knee osteoarthritis is associated with high financial and long recovery processes. Therefore, patients are continually searching for alternative methods of treatment. Diacerein is regarded as symptom-modifying, slow-acting drug that could most likely change the disease structure of OA. The present systematic review protocol explains methods utilized to evaluate the clinical therapeutic effects of combining diacerein and glucosamine to treat OA. METHODS The authors will conduct a search for randomized controlled trials comparing diacerein plus glucosamine with diacerein alone, glucosamine alone, or another treatment in patients with OA. The search will be done in the following online-based databases: EMBASE, MEDLINE, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, and WanFang Database. All related RCTs included from inception to September 29, 2021 are included. Two authors will independently conduct data abstraction and quality assessment, and the comparative analysis will compare the results. The present meta-analysis will be performed with the RevMan software (version 5.3), where the results will be expressed as relative risk, mean differences, or standardized mean differences with 95% confidence intervals. RESULTS This study will be conducted to evaluate the clinical therapeutic effects of combined diacerein and glucosamine in the treatment of OA. CONCLUSION The summary presented in the study will ascertain whether diacerein plus glucosamine intervention is an efficient and feasible method of treatment for OA patients.
