Abstract
The prevalence of infectious diseases in sheep and goats has a significant impact on the development of the sheep and goat industry and public health security. The identification and analysis of pathogens are crucial for infectious disease research; however, existing databases pay little attention to sheep and goat diseases, and pathogen data are relatively scattered. Therefore, the effective integration, analysis and visualization of these data will help us conduct in-depth research on sheep and goat infectious diseases and promote the formulation of disease prevention and control strategies. This article considered the pathogens of 44 infectious diseases in sheep and goats as the main research objects and collected and downloaded relevant scientific literature, pathogen genomes, pathogen transcriptomes, pathogen occurrence records, and other data. The C# programming language and an SQL Server database were used to construct and realize the functions of the Sheep and Goat Pathogen Database (SGPD) within a B/S architecture based on the ASP.NET platform. The SGPD mainly provides an integrated platform for sheep and goat pathogen data retrieval, auxiliary analysis, and user upload, including several functionalities: (1) a Disease Introduction module that queries basic information regarding the 44 recorded sheep and goat infectious diseases, such as epidemiology, clinical characteristics, diagnostic criteria, and prevention and control measures; (2) an Omics Information module that allows users to query and download the genome and transcriptome data related to the pathogens of sheep and goat infectious disease, and provide sequence alignment functionality; (3) a Pathogen Structure module that enables users to view electron micrographs of pathogen structure and tissue sections related to sheep and goat disease from publicly published research; (4) a Literature Search module based on the "Pathogen Dictionary" search strategy that facilitates searches for published research related to pathogens of infectious disease; (5) a Science Popularization module that allows users to view popular science materials related to sheep and goat infectious diseases; and (6) a Public Health module that allows users to query the risk factors of zoonotic disease transmission and the corresponding related literature, and realize the visualization of pathogen distribution. The SGPD is a specialized sheep and goat pathogen information database that provides comprehensive resources and technical support for sheep and goat infectious disease research, prevention, and control.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP) is an idiopathic disease of pregnancy. Little is known about how it specifically affects pregnancies resulting from in vitro fertilization (IVF). Our aim is to evaluate the impact of IVF on the perinatal outcomes of ICP. METHODS A retrospective study of 242 patients with intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy, comprising 36 conceived through IVF and 206 spontaneous conceptions (SC), enrolled between 2019 and 2021 was carried out. Data were analyzed from the medical archives of the Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Tongji Hospital. RESULTS Numerical values of transaminases (ALT, alanine aminotransferase; AST, aspartate aminotransferase) and serum total bile acid (TBA) are significantly lower in the IVF group than that in the spontaneous conceived group (p < 0.05). The incidence of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) was higher in the IVF group than in SC group (30.6% vs. 16%, p = 0.037). The cesarean section (CS) rates are higher in the IVF group (97.2% vs. 85.4%, p = 0.023). On the other hand, the prevalence of premature rupture of membranes (PROM) was higher in the SC group (10.7%) while none was reported in the IVF-ICP group. Other maternal comorbidities and neonatal outcomes were similar between the two groups. CONCLUSION ICP patients who underwent IVF are more likely to suffer from GDM. Therefore, monitoring and management of blood glucose should be strengthened during pregnancy. Fortunately, IVF does not seem to worsen the progression or outlook of ICP, so sticking to standard management practices is recommended.

Abstract
AIMS Adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) grows slowly and is characterised by potential recurrence and metastasis to distant organs. This study aimed to evaluate the risk factors for locoregional recurrence (LRR) and distant metastasis in patients with ACC of the external auditory canal (EAC). MATERIALS AND METHODS Demographic, pathological, therapeutic and survival data of 143 patients with EAC ACC were reviewed in this study. Univariate and multivariate Cox proportional hazard regression analyses were carried out to determine the risk factors for LRR and distant metastasis. Factors associated with overall survival after LRR and distant metastasis were also analysed. RESULTS During a median follow-up of 49 months, 31 of 143 patients were observed with LRR and 34 developed distant metastasis. Bone invasion and histological subtype were independent risk factors for locoregional recurrence-free survival. T stage and LRR were independent risk factors for distant metastasis-free survival. Salvage surgery and adjuvant radiotherapy or chemoradiotherapy for LRR resulted in better survival, whereas extrapulmonary metastasis and LRR were associated with a higher risk of poor survival after distant metastasis. CONCLUSION Patients with distant metastases, especially those with LRR, are at significant risk of poor prognosis. Our findings emphasise the importance of long-term regular follow-up and recommend surgical intervention with radiotherapy for recurrent EAC ACC.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Alzheimer's disease (AD), the most common type of irreversible dementia, is predicted to affect 152 million people by 2050. Evidence from large-scale preventive randomized controlled trials (RCTs) on modifiable risk variables in Europe has shown that multi-domain lifestyle treatments for older persons at high risk of dementia may be practical and effective. Given the substantial differences between the Chinese and European populations in terms of demographics and living conditions, direct adoption of the European program in China remains unfeasible. Although a RCT has been conducted in China previously, its participants were mainly from rural areas in northern China and, thus, are not representative of the entire nation. There is an urgent need to establish cohorts that represent different economic, cultural, and geographical situations in order to explore implementation strategies and evaluate the effects of early multi-domain interventions more comprehensively and accurately. MEDTODS We developed an integrated intervention procedure implemented in urban neighborhood settings, namely China Initiative for Multi-Domain Intervention (CHINA-IN-MUDI). CHINA-IN-MUDI is a 2-year multicenter open-label cluster-randomised controlled trial centered around a Chinese-style multi-domain intervention to prevent cognitive decline. Participants aged 60-80 years were recruited from a nationally representative study, i.e. China Healthy Aging and Dementia Study cohort. An external harmonization process was carried out to preserve the original FINGER design. Subsequently, we standardized a series of Chinese-style intervention programs to align with cultural and socioeconomic status. Additionally, we expanded the secondary outcome list to include genomic and proteomic analyses. To enhance adherence and facilitate implementation, we leveraged an e-health application. RESULTS Screening commenced in July 2022. Currently, 1,965 participants have been randomized into lifestyle intervention (n = 772) and control groups (n = 1,193). Both the intervention and control groups exhibited similar baseline characteristics. Several lifestyle and vascular risk factors were present, indicating a potential window of opportunity for intervention. The intervention will be completed by 2025. CONCLUSIONS This project will contribute to the evaluation of the effectiveness and safety of intervention strategies in controlling AD risk and reducing clinical events, providing a basis for public health decision-making in China.

Abstract
HNF4α, a transcription factor, plays a vital role in regulating functional genes and biological processes. Its alternative splicing leads to various transcript variants encoding different isoforms. The spotlight has shifted towards the extensive discussion on tumors interplayed withHNF4α abnormalities. Aberrant HNF4α expression has emerged as sentinel markers of epigenetic shifts, casting reverberations upon downstream target genes and intricate signaling pathways, most notably with cancer. This review provides a comprehensive overview of HNF4α's involvement in tumor progression and metastasis, elucidating its role and underlying mechanisms.

Endometrial stromal cell autophagy-dependent ferroptosis caused by iron overload in ovarian endometriosis is inhibited by the ATF4-xCT pathway. Mol Hum Reprod 2023; 30:gaad046. Abstract
Ferroptosis is an iron-dependent programmed cell death process characterized by the accumulation of lethal oxidative damage. Localized iron overload is a unique clinical phenomenon in ovarian endometriosis (EM). However, the role and mechanism of ferroptosis in the course of ovarian EM remain unclear. Traditionally, autophagy promotes cell survival. However, a growing body of research suggests that autophagy promotes ferroptosis under certain conditions. This study aimed to clarify the status of ferroptosis in ovarian EM and explore the mechanism(s) by which iron overload causes ferroptosis and ectopic endometrial resistance to ferroptosis in human. The results showed increased levels of iron and reactive oxygen species in ectopic endometrial stromal cells (ESCs). Some ferroptosis and autophagy proteins in the ectopic tissues differed from those in the eutopic endometrium. In vitro, iron overload caused decreased cellular activity, increased lipid peroxidation levels, and mitochondrial morphological changes, whereas ferroptosis inhibitors alleviated these phenomena, illustrating activated ferroptosis. Iron overload increased autophagy, and ferroptosis caused by iron overload was inhibited by autophagy inhibitors, indicating that ferroptosis caused by iron overload was autophagy-dependent. We also confirmed the effect of iron overload and autophagy on lesion growth in vivo by constructing a mouse EM model; the results were consistent with those of the in vitro experiments of human tissue and endometrial stomal cells. However, ectopic lesions in patients can resist ferroptosis caused by iron overload, which can promote cystine/glutamate transporter hyperexpression by highly expressing activating transcription factor 4 (ATF4). In summary, local iron overload in ovarian EM can activate autophagy-related ferroptosis in ESCs, and ectopic lesions grow in a high-iron environment via ATF4-xCT while resisting ferroptosis. The effects of iron overload on other cells in the EM environment require further study. This study deepens our understanding of the role of ferroptosis in ovarian EM.

Abstract
A measurement of the mass of the Higgs boson combining the H→ZZ^{*}→4ℓ and H→γγ decay channels is presented. The result is based on 140 fb^{-1} of proton-proton collision data collected by the ATLAS detector during LHC run 2 at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV combined with the run 1 ATLAS mass measurement, performed at center-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV, yielding a Higgs boson mass of 125.11±0.09(stat)±0.06(syst)=125.11±0.11 GeV. This corresponds to a 0.09% precision achieved on this fundamental parameter of the Standard Model of particle physics.

Abstract
A search for events with a dark photon produced in association with a dark Higgs boson via rare decays of the standard model Z boson is presented, using 139 fb^{-1} of sqrt[s]=13 TeV proton-proton collision data recorded by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. The dark boson decays into a pair of dark photons, and at least two of the three dark photons must each decay into a pair of electrons or muons, resulting in at least two same-flavor opposite-charge lepton pairs in the final state. The data are found to be consistent with the background prediction, and upper limits are set on the dark photon's coupling to the dark Higgs boson times the kinetic mixing between the standard model photon and the dark photon, α_{D}ϵ^{2}, in the dark photon mass range of [5, 40] GeV except for the ϒ mass window [8.8, 11.1] GeV. This search explores new parameter space not previously excluded by other experiments.

Abstract
Objective: To construct a diagnostic model for fatty liver using body composition analysis and further evaluate the diagnostic effect of the model on fatty liver. Methods: 726 cases with chronic liver disease who visited Tianjin Second People's Hospital from April 2019 to June 2022 and had body composition analysis tests were retrospectively enrolled and were divided into a fatty liver group (551 cases with fatty liver) and a control group (175 cases without fatty liver) according to the measured values of abdominal ultrasound and controlled attenuation parameter. An independent sample t-test and a non-parametric rank sum test were used for statistical processing. Logistic regression was used to construct a diagnostic model. Hosmer-Lemeshow was used to validate the fit of model. Receiver operating characteristic curve was used to confirm the diagnostic efficiency of the model. In addition, 341 cases of chronic liver disease who visited Tianjin Second People's Hospital were included to further verify the application effect of the model between July 2022 and February 2023. Results: Compared with the control group, the differences in various indicators of body composition analysis in the fatty liver group were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Basal metabolic rate (X1), visceral fat area (X2), and body fat (X3) were eventually included in the diagnostic model for BCA-FL (body composition analysis-fatty liver)= -7.771+0.002X1-0.035X2+0.456X3 with the Hosmer-Lemeshow test (P=0.059). The measured area under the receiver operating characteristic curve, the sensitivity, and the specificity were 0.888, 0.889, and 0.726, respectively, when the diagnostic threshold value was 0.615 with the Youden index and the receiver operating characteristic curve. In the validated model group, the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve, Youden index, sensitivity, and specificity were 0.875, 0.624, 0.799, and 0.825, respectively. Conclusion: The diagnostic model BCA-FL for fatty liver constructed using human body composition analysis has good diagnostic efficacy and is suitable for screening fatty liver in different basic liver disease populations.

Abstract
Purpose Asthma substantially affects the quality of life and health of children. Lipocalin 2 (LCN2) is an immune-related protein, which is predicted to be highly expressed in asthma. Here, we investigated the role of LCN2 in ovalbumin (OVA)-induced asthma mouse model. Methods We knocked down LCN2 in an asthma mouse model and performed histopathological analysis using hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining assay. Differentiated cells were assessed using Diff-Quick staining assay. We investigated the regulatory T (Treg) cell/ T helper 17 (Th17) cell balance using flow cytometry and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Inflammatory factors were measured using quantitative real-time reverse transcription PCR (qRT-PCR). The involved pathways were assessed using Western blotting. Results LCN2 was upregulated in patients with asthma. OVA promoted pathological deterioration in the lungs, increased IgE levels in the plasma, and elevated the number of differentiated inflammatory cells, whereas LCN2 knockdown abrogated the OVA-induced effects. Additionally, the Treg/Th17 imbalance and increased inflammatory cytokine levels were improved by LCN2 knockdown in OVA-treated mice. Moreover, LCN2 knockdown reversed the activation of the janus kinase (JNK) pathway. Conclusion LCN2 knockdown improved the Treg/Th17 balance, alleviated inflammation, and inactivated the JNK pathway in OVA-induced asthma mouse model, suggesting that LCN2 may be a novel therapeutic target for asthma in children.

Abstract
Rhodobacter species are promising beneficial microbes that can improve growth performance, immunity and antioxidant capability in aquatic crustaceans. Yet the safety of Rhodobacter azotoformans for potential application in Chinese mitten crab Eriocheir sinensis is still unclear. In the present study, R. azotoformans SY5, a potential probiotic additive that can significantly improve the growth performance, immunity, antioxidant capability, and disease resistance in E. sinensis, was evaluated for safety through whole genome sequencing, antibiotic resistance, toxic metabolites, virulence, and crab tolerance assays. The results indicated that R. azotoformans SY5 only harboured the acyl carrier protein-encoding gene (acpP) that was universal in probiotic bacteria with the function of bacterial fatty acid biosynthesis, exhibited high susceptibility to aminoglycosides, penicillins, polymyxins, polyphosphates, quinolones, and tetracyclines antimicrobials, and possessed inability to produce hemolysin, hydrogen sulphide, nitrite, ammonia, and phenylpyruvate. In addition, R. azotoformans SY5 showed no pathogenicity for E. sinensis with the seven-day acute intraperitoneal LD50 value of above 6.0 × 109 cfu/ml and 30-day chronic oral LD50 of above 6.0 × 109 cfu/g diet. To our knowledge, this is the first report on the safety of R. azotoformans for potential application in Chinese mitten crabs.

D-serine reconstitutes synaptic and intrinsic inhibitory control of pyramidal neurons in a neurodevelopmental mouse model for schizophrenia. Nat Commun 2023; 14:8255. Abstract
The hypothesis of N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor (NMDAR) dysfunction for cognitive impairment in schizophrenia constitutes the theoretical basis for the translational application of NMDAR co-agonist D-serine or its analogs. However, the cellular mechanism underlying the therapeutic effect of D-serine remains unclear. In this study, we utilize a mouse neurodevelopmental model for schizophrenia that mimics prenatal pathogenesis and exhibits hypoexcitability of parvalbumin-positive (PV) neurons, as well as PV-preferential NMDAR dysfunction. We find that D-serine restores excitation/inhibition balance by reconstituting both synaptic and intrinsic inhibitory control of cingulate pyramidal neurons through facilitating PV excitability and activating small-conductance Ca2+-activated K+ (SK) channels in pyramidal neurons, respectively. Either amplifying inhibitory drive via directly strengthening PV neuron activity or inhibiting pyramidal excitability via activating SK channels is sufficient to improve cognitive function in this model. These findings unveil a dual mechanism for how D-serine improves cognitive function in this model.

Survival rate, gut microbiota, and gene expression of gut antimicrobial peptides in worker honey bees were determined. Administration of L. helveticus KM7 and IMO significantly increased the survival rate in worker bees relative to bees fed sucrose only. Then, higher concentration of both lactic acid bacteria and Bifidobacterium in the gut and lower counts of gut fungi, Enterococcus, and Bacteroides-Porphyromonas-Prevotella were observed in bees fed the combination of KM7 and IMO compared with control bees. The combination of L. helveticus KM7 with IMO showed a greater or comparable modulating effect on those bacteria relative to either KM7 or IMO alone. Furthermore, the combination treatment of L. helveticus KM7 and IMO enhanced mRNA expression of antimicrobial peptide genes, including Abaecin, Defensin, and the gene encoding prophenoloxidase (PPO) in the gut compared with both control bees and those either L. helveticus KM7 or IMO alone. These results suggest that the combination of L. helveticus KM7 and IMO synergistically modifies the gut microbiota and immunity and consequently improves the survival rate of Apis cerana adult workers.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the effects of electrical acoustic stimulation (EAS) on speech and tone recognition as well as music perception in children with low-frequency residual hearing (LFRH) after cochlear implant (CI). Methods: A total of twelve Mandarin patients with LFRH who underwent unilateral CI from January 2017 to October 2020 were recruited, including 8 males and 4 females. There were 5 cases of pre-lingual deafness and 7 cases of post-lingual deafness. The median age at implantation was 12 years old (3-62 years). All patients had residual hearing (RH) before surgery, wore hearing aid (HA) timely, had an effective rehabilitation and the duration of use of electrical stimulation was 37.0±16.2 months. On the implanted side, the thresholds of 125 Hz and 250 Hz were less than and equal to 80 dB HL after implantation. A two-month follow-up clinical study was conducted with the EAS devices. The EAS effects were evaluated before, immediately after and 2 months after upgrade, including speech recognition rate, tone recognition and music tests. SPSS 23.0 software was used for statistical analysis. Results: A total of ten patients completed a two-month clinical follow-up and efficiency evaluation. Compared to the electrical stimulation, the recognition rate of spondee word significantly decreased after the immediate use of EAS (71.7±4.3 vs 79.6±3.1, P=0.018). Compared to the electrical stimulation as well as immediate use of EAS, the results of sentence in noise, tone in noise, and SRT of sentence in noise were all significantly improved at 2 months after use of EAS (P<0.05). The pitch discrimination was significantly improved at 2 months after the use of EAS compared with that before the use of EAS (P=0.042). Compared with before (P=0.021) and immediately (P=0.017) use of EAS, the ability of rhythm resolution was significantly improved. There were no significant differences in other test results (P>0.05). Conclusions: The low-frequency acoustic information provided by EAS as well as the electrical-acoustic stimulation mode can provide rich auditory cues of speech perception in noise, tone recognition in noise, and musical discrimination for CI subjects. It can promote the improvement of complex listening ability of CI patients undergoing long-term electrical stimulation in a short time and comprehensively improve their hearing capacities.

Abstract
This study aimed to explore the structural characteristics and antioxidant mechanism of donkey-hide gelatin peptides. After hydrolysis and ultrafiltration treatment, five gelatin peptides with different molecular weights (MWs) were obtained. Amino acid analysis showed that gelatin peptides with different MWs contained a large number of amino acids, including G, P, E, N, A, and R, and differences were noted in the content of various amino acids. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and circular dichroism revealed that these gelatin peptides differed in terms of the peak strength of functional groups and number of secondary structures. Moreover, 26 pentapeptides/hexapeptides were identified. Among them, we investigated by molecular docking how PGPAP, which has the best antioxidant activity, may interact with the Keap1 protein. The results showed that the PGPAP-Keap1 complex had a stable conformation, and Arg415, Gly462, Phe478, and Tyr572 were the key residues involved in the binding of the peptide PGPAP to Keap1. Our results demonstrated that PGPAP could serve as a bioactive peptide with antioxidant activity.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE In this study, the color ultrasound indicators of carotid atherosclerosis (CAS) intima-media thickness (IMT) and atherosclerotic plaque (AP) were retrospectively analyzed for the prediction of CHD with the help of compressed speckle denoising. PATIENTS AND METHODS A total of 248 patients with suspected coronary atherosclerosis admitted to the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine of The First Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University from August 2020 to January 2022 were retrospectively recruited as research subjects. RESULTS The plaque detection rate (71.83%), IMT (1.26 ± 0.75) mm, and plaque index (PI) (2.31 ± 0.95) in the Obs group were greatly higher. The IMT and PI values in the patients with two CALs were superior to those in patients with a single CAL, and the IMT and PI values in the patients with three CALs were higher than those in patients with two CALs, illustrating considerable differences between the two groups (p < 0.05). The predictive sensitivity of IMT combined with AP was higher than that of IMT and AP (p < 0.05), and the predictive specificity of AP results was markedly inferior to that of IMT and IMT combined with AP (p < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS The ultrasound examination of CAS had obvious predictive value for the occurrence and disease severity of CHD. The higher the IMT and AP, the higher the incidence and severity of CAD.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Insomnia disorder (ID) is a persistent difficulty sleeping, often accompanied by anxiety and depression, which seriously reduces a person's quality of life. Dietary changes in insomnia patients have been a concern. To explore the rationality of diet in patients with ID and its correlation with insomnia in ID patients. PATIENTS AND METHODS This study included 216 patients diagnosed with ID and 197 individuals as the healthy control (HC) group who attended the neurology outpatient clinic or sleep clinic at Henan Provincial People's Hospital between September 2018 and November 2019. Through the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), Insomnia Severity Index (ISI), Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA), and Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD), sleep and mental conditions were assessed in the ID and HC groups. The dietary intake structure of both groups was observed using the food frequency table. Meanwhile, the relationship between dietary intake and sleep quality was analyzed based on the logistics regression. RESULTS Individuals in the ID group had significantly higher age, weight, and body mass index compared to the HC group (p<0.01). Individuals within the ID category demonstrated a heightened daily consumption of carbohydrates, grains, tubers, and legumes relative to the healthy control group. In contrast, the intake levels of vegetables, fruits, and nuts were diminished compared to the HC group, with this difference being statistically significant (p<0.01). A positive correlation was observed between the daily consumption of grains, tubers, and legumes and PSQI scores. Conversely, a negative association was found between daily consumption of vegetables and fruits. CONCLUSIONS ID patients exhibit an elevated intake of carbohydrates, whereas the consumption of vegetables, fruits, and nuts is deficient in comparison to the healthy cohort, implying that a distorted dietary structure might be a contributing factor to ID onset. Sensible and scientific dietary guidance is of considerable significance in preventing the onset of ID and facilitating its management. However, the derived conclusions warrant further extensive research.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Vimentin, an intermediate filament protein, crucially contributes to the pathogenesis of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) by interacting with genetic risk factors, facilitating pathogen infection, and modulating both innate and adaptive immune responses. This study aimed to demonstrate preclinical proof-of-concept for targeting vimentin therapeutically in IBD across diverse etiologies. METHODS The small molecule compound ALD-R491 was assessed for vimentin binding using microscale thermophoresis, off-target effects via Eurofins screening, and therapeutic effects in mice with dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced acute colitis and in IL-10 KO with spontaneous colitis. Parameters measured included body weight, survival, disease activity, colon length, and histology. The study analyzed intestinal proinflammatory cytokines, Th17/Treg cells, and epithelial barrier molecules, along with gut microbiota profiling. RESULTS ALD-R491 specifically bound vimentin with a dissociation constant (KD) of 328 ± 12.66 nM and no off-target effects. In the DSS model, orally administered ALD-R491 exhibited dose-dependent therapeutic effects, superior to 5-ASA and Tofacitinib. In the IL-10 KO model, ALD-R491 significantly delayed colitis onset and progression, with near-zero disease activity index scores over a 15-week treatment. ALD-R491 consistently showed in both models a reduced proinflammatory cytokine expression, including TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6, IL-17, IL-22, a rebalanced Th17/Treg axis by reducing RORγt while enhancing FoxP3 expression, and an improved epithelial barrier integrity by increasing intestinal expressions of Mucin-2, ZO-1 and Claudin5. The intestinal dysbiosis was restored with enriched presence of probiotics. CONCLUSIONS Targeting vimentin exhibits significant therapeutic effects on various facets of IBD pathogenesis, representing a compelling approach for the development of highly effective treatments in IBD.

Abstract
Citrus production is severely threatened by the devastating Huanglongbing (HLB) disease globally. By studying and analyzing the defensive behaviors of an HLB-tolerant citrus cultivar 'Shatangju', we discovered that citrus can sense Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus (CLas) infection and induce immune responses against HLB, which can be further strengthened by both endogenously produced and exogenously applied methyl salicylate (MeSA). This immune circuit is turned on by an miR2977-SAMT (encoding a citrus Salicylate [SA] O-methyltransferase) cascade, by which CLas infection leads to more in planta MeSA production and aerial emission. We provided both transgenic and multi-year trail evidences that MeSA is an effective community immune signal. Ambient MeSA accumulation and foliage application can effectively induce defense gene expression and significantly boost citrus performance. We also found that miRNAs are battle fields between citrus and CLas, and about 30% of the differential gene expression upon CLas infection are regulated by miRNAs. Furthermore, CLas hijacks host key processes by manipulating key citrus miRNAs, and citrus employs miRNAs that coordinately regulate defense-related genes. Based on our results, we proposed that miRNAs and associated components are key targets for engineering or breeding resistant citrus varieties. We anticipate that MeSA-based management, either induced expression or external application, would be a promising tool for HLB control.

Abstract
AIM To explore the feasibility of a "triple-low" dose (low tube voltage, low tube current, and low contrast agent volume) bronchial artery computed tomography (CT) angiography (CTA) to replace routine dose bronchial artery CTA before bronchial artery embolisation (BAE). MATERIALS AND METHODS CTA was obtained from 60 patients with body mass index (BMI) < 30 kg/m2 using a 256 multi-section iCT system, and they were divided into two groups: (1) group A: 100 kVp, 100 mAs, 50 ml contrast medium (CM); (2) group B: 120 kVp, automatic tube current modulation (ACTM), 80 ml CM. CT attenuation of the thoracic aorta, image noise, signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR) were calculated, and subjective image quality scores and traceability scores assessed. The effective radiation dose was calculated. RESULTS The radiation dose was reduced by 79.7% in group A compared to group B (p<0.05). The CT attenuation of the thoracic aorta was increased by approximately 13% in group A compared to group B (p<0.05). Higher image noise, lower SNR, and CNR were obtained in group A compared to group B (all p<0.05). Both subjective image quality scores and traceability scores did not differ between groups A and B (both p>0.05). CONCLUSION It is feasible to use the "triple-low" dose CTA protocol for patients with a body mass index (BMI) < 30 kg/m2. The radiation dose was reduced by 79.7%, and the dose of contrast medium was reduced by 37.5% to ensure the diagnostic value.

Abstract
Quite a few studies have been performed based on movie-watching functional connectivity (FC). As compared to its resting-state counterpart, however, there is still much to know about its abilities in individual identifications and individualized predictions. To pave the way for appropriate usage of movie-watching FC, we systemically evaluated the minimum number of time points, as well as the exact functional networks, supporting individual identifications and individualized predictions of apparent traits based on it. We performed the study based on the 7T movie-watching fMRI data included in the HCP S1200 Release, and took IQ as the test case for the prediction analyses. The results indicate that movie-watching FC based on only 15 time points can support successful individual identifications (99.47%), and the connectivity contributed more to identifications were much associated with higher-order cognitive processes (the secondary visual network, the frontoparietal network and the posterior multimodal network). For individualized predictions of IQ, it was found that successful predictions necessitated 60 time points (predicted vs. actual IQ correlation significant at P < 0.05, based on 5,000 permutations), and the prediction accuracy increased logarithmically with the number of time points used for connectivity calculation. Furthermore, the connectivity that contributed more to individual identifications exhibited the strongest prediction ability. Collectively, our findings demonstrate that movie-watching FC can capture rich information about human brain function, and its ability in individualized predictions depends heavily on the length of fMRI scans.

Abstract
BACKGROUND AND AIMS Adequate bowel preparation is crucial for clear mucosal visualization during colonoscopy. We aimed to comprehensively compare oral sulfate solution (OSS) and 3-L split-dose polyethylene glycol (PEG) for bowel preparation before colonoscopy. METHODS This randomized, active-controlled, noninferiority study was performed in 10 medical centers. Eligible subjects were enrolled to receive OSS or 3-L PEG in a split-dose regimen. The quality of bowel preparation, adverse reactions, and acceptability were evaluated. The quality of bowel preparation was evaluated using the Boston Bowel Preparation Scale. Safety was evaluated by adverse reactions. The study population was divided into the full analysis set (FAS), the safety set, the modified FAS (mFAS), and the per-protocol set (PPS). RESULTS Three hundred forty-eight potentially eligible subjects were enrolled. Three hundred forty-four subjects were included in the FAS and safety set, 340 subjects were included in the mFAS, and 328 subjects were included in the PPS. Adequate bowel preparation of the OSS was not inferior to 3-L PEG in the mFAS (98.22% vs 97.66%) and the PPS (98.17% vs 98.78%). There was no significant difference in acceptability between the 2 groups (94.74% vs 94.80%, P = .9798). Overall adverse reactions were similar (50.88% vs 44.51%, P = .2370) between the 2 groups. CONCLUSIONS The split-dose OSS regimen was not inferior to the split-dose 3-L PEG regimen for the quality of bowel preparation in a Chinese adult population. The safety and acceptability of the 2 groups were similar. (Clinical trial registration number: NCT05465889.).
