Abstract
BACKGROUND Good quality of care for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) depends on high-standard management and facility in the IBD center. Yet, there are no clear measures or criteria for evaluating pediatric IBD (PIBD) center in China. The aim of this study was to develop a comprehensive set of quality indicators (QIs) for evaluating PIBD center in China. METHODS A modified Delphi consensus-based approach was used to identify a set of QIs of structure, process, and outcomes for defining the criteria. The process included an exhaustive search using complementary approaches to identify potential QIs, and two web-based voting rounds to select the QIs defining the criteria for PIBD center. RESULTS A total of 101 QIs (35 structures, 48 processes and 18 outcomes) were included in this consensus. Structure QIs focused on the composition of multidisciplinary team, facilities and services that PIBD center should provide. Process QIs highlight core requirements in diagnosing, evaluating, treating PIBD, and disease follow-up. Outcome QIs mainly included criteria evaluating effectiveness of various interventions in PIBD centers. CONCLUSION The present Delphi consensus developed a set of main QIs that may be useful for managing a PIBD center. Video Abstract.

Abstract
In a recent survey of nematodes associated with tobacco in Shandong, China, the root-lesion nematode Pratylenchus coffeae was identified using a combination of morphology and molecular techniques. This nematode species is a serious parasite that damages a variety of plant species. The model plant benthi, Nicotiana benthamiana, is frequently used to study plant-disease interactions. However, it is not known whether this plant species is a host of P. coffeae. The objectives of this study were to evaluate the parasitism and pathogenicity of five populations of the root-lesion nematode P. coffeae on N. benthamiana.N. benthamiana seedlings with the same growth status were chosen and inoculated with 1,000 nematodes per pot. At 60 days after inoculation, the reproductive factors (Rf = final population densities (Pf)/initial population densities (Pi)) for P. coffeae in the rhizosphere of N. benthamiana were all more than 1, suggesting that N. benthamiana was a good host plant for P. coffeae.Nicotiana. benthamiana infected by P. coffeae showed weak growth, decreased tillering, high root reduction, and noticeable brown spots on the roots. Thus, we determined that the model plant N. benthamiana can be used to study plant-P. coffeae interactions.

Abstract
To investigate the clinical characteristics of Kawasaki disease (KD) presenting with abdominal manifestation as the first manifestation. Our findings may help improve the cognition of KD with abdominal complications, and avoid misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis. A retrospective analysis was conducted of 1490 KD patients admitted to Shengjing Hospital between January 2019 and March 2022. Clinical characteristics, related factors, and prognosis of KD with abdominal manifestation as first manifestation were analyzed. Based on the presenting symptoms, patients were divided into gastrointestinal symptom group (n = 141), liver dysfunction group (n = 55), and control group (n = 1294). In the gastrointestinal group, diarrhea [100 cases (70.9%)], vomiting [55 cases (39.0%)], and abdominal pain [34 cases (24.1%)] were the most common symptoms at onset. 8 cases (5.7%) were complicated with pseudo-intestinal obstruction, 6 cases (4.3%) with ischemic colitis, 5 cases (3.5%) with pancreatitis, 2 cases (1.4%) with appendicitis, and 1 case (0.7%) with cholecystitis. Comparied to ordinary gastroenteritis caused by infection, gastroenteritis with KD has longer fever duration before treatment, higher WBC, PLT, CRP, AST levels and lower albumin levels. All patients in the liver dysfunction group had elevated transaminases, and 19 patients (34.5%) presented with jaundice. In the gastrointestinal group, the average hospital stay was 10.3 days, and the incidence of IVIG unresponsiveness and coronary artery lesion were 18.4% and 19.9%, respectively, which were significantly higher than that in the control group. In the liver dysfunction group, the average hospital stay (11.18 days), incidence of IVIG unresponsiveness (25.5%), and incidence of coronary artery lesion (29.1%) were significantly higher than that in the control group. On multivariate logistic regression analysis, gastrointestinal involvement, fever duration, ALT, PLT, and CRP were identified as risk factors for CAL, younger age, gastrointestinal involvement and fever duration were risk factors for IVIG unresponsiveness. Conclusion: KD with gastrointestinal involvement is associated with a higher risk of IVIG unresponsiveness and coronary artery lesion. KD should be considered in the differential diagnosis of children with acute fever, especially those with gastrointestinal involvement and liver dysfunction. What is Known: • Fever duration, PLT, and CRP were identified as risk factors for CAL. Timely diagnosis and application of IVIG treatment can avoid exploratory laparotomy for ileus, appendectomy for misdiagnosed appendicitis, colonoscopy for misdiagnosed inflammatory bowel disease, and reduce the complications of CAL and IVIG unresponsiveness. What is New: • Abdominal symptoms as the first manifestation can be an independent risk factor for CAL and IVIG unresponsiveness. KD should be considered in the differential diagnosis of children with acute fever, especially those with gastrointestinal symptoms or liver dysfunction. • Gastroenteritis in KD group had longer fever duration before treatment, accompanied with higher WBC, PLT, CRP, AST levels and lower albumin levels than those gastroenteritis caused by infection. Therefore, high attention should be paid to the possibility of KD when gastroenteritis accompanied by along fever duration, high WBC, PLT, CRP, AST level or lowalbumin level.

Abstract
Every tissue has an extracellular matrix (ECM) with certain properties unique to it - the tissue 'niche' - that are necessary for normal function. A distinct specific population of quiescent keratocan-expressing keratocytes populate the corneal stroma during homeostasis to maintain corneal function. However, during wound healing, when there is alteration of the niche conditions, keratocytes undergo apoptosis, and activated corneal fibroblasts and myofibroblasts attempt to restore tissue integrity and function. It is unknown what the fate of activated and temporary fibroblasts and myofibroblasts is after the wound healing process has resolved. In this study, we used several strategies to elucidate the cellular dynamics of corneal wound healing and the fate of corneal fibroblasts. We injured the cornea of a novel mouse model that allows cell-lineage tracing, and we transplanted a cell suspension of in vitro-expanded corneal fibroblasts that could be tracked after being relocated into normal stroma. These transplanted fibroblasts regained expression of keratocan in vivo when relocated to a normal stromal niche. These findings suggest that transformed fibroblasts maintain plasticity and can be induced to a keratocyte phenotype once relocated to an ECM with normal signaling ECM.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES The aim of this article was to explore the association between adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and the Charlson comorbidity index (CCI) and to provide valuable information for public health professionals and policymakers to improve quality of life and reduce mortality. STUDY DESIGN A cross-sectional analysis was conducted using data pooled from the 2020 Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS). METHODS This study involved 102,393 US adult participants from the 2020 BRFSS. The zero-inflated negative binomial (ZINB) and mixed graphical model (MGM) models were used to explore the effect of ACEs on CCI and the interaction between ACEs. RESULTS In the count part of the model (CCI ≥0), sexual abuse had the strongest association with CCI (relative risk [RR] = 1.111, P < 0.001). In the logit part of the model (CCI = 0), the likelihood of having CCI equal to 0 decreased by 23.0% for household substance abuse, which was the highest percentage decrease for all ACEs. Compared to those with ACE scores equal to 0, individuals with ACE scores ≥4 have an expected CCI RR of 1.222, and the likelihood of having CCI equal to 0 decreased by 50.2%. Household substance abuse and incarceration history in the home had the strongest association among interactions of ACEs (0.85). CONCLUSIONS Associations between ACEs and CCI were observed in this study, and these associations differed between genders. The findings of this study provide data to design strategies for disease prevention and improvement of quality of life.

Abstract
PURPOSE Evidence from previous studies on the association between cholecystectomy and risk of gastric cancer are still inconsistent. We aimed at conducting a meta-analysis of epidemiological studies to evaluate this association. METHODS Researchers searched three databases (PubMed, Embase and Web of Science) through January 2021 for eligible studies. Relative risks (RRs) and 95% CIs in each included studies were pooled by random-effects models. Patients and the public were not involved in our study. RESULTS Eight studies were identified. Four studies reported significantly positive association between history of cholecystectomy and risk of gastric cancer, and the remaining studies reported null association. The pooled RR of these eight studies showed that a history of cholecystectomy was associated with a 11% higher risk of gastric cancer (pooled RR=1.11, 95% CI: 1.03 to 1.20). Moderate heterogeneity across the studies was detected (p=0.117, I2=37.8%). The pooled RRs were 1.12 (95% CI: 1.01 to 1.24) for five cohort studies and 0.95 (95% CI: 0.66 to 1.38) for three case-control studies. Compared with the risk in Europe and the USA, the pooled RR was higher for two studies conducted in Asia. Six studies were assessed as high-quality studies with the pooled RR of 1.12 (95% CI: 1.02 to 1.23). The pooled results were robust by sensitivity analyses, and no indication of publication bias was detected. CONCLUSION This meta-analysis suggests that a history of cholecystectomy may be associated with an increased risk of gastric cancer.

Abstract
Converting hydrogen chemical energy into electrical energy by fuel cells offers high efficiencies and environmental advantages, but ultrapure hydrogen (over 99.97%) is required; otherwise, the electrode catalysts, typically platinum on carbon (Pt/C), will be poisoned by impurity gases such as ammonia (NH3). Here we demonstrate remarkable NH3 resistivity over a nickel-molybdenum alloy (MoNi4) modulated by chromium (Cr) dopants. The resultant Cr-MoNi4 exhibits high activity toward alkaline hydrogen oxidation and can undergo 10,000 cycles without apparent activity decay in the presence of 2 ppm of NH3. Furthermore, a fuel cell assembled with this catalyst retains 95% of the initial peak power density even when NH3 (10 ppm)/H2 was fed, whereas the power output reduces to 61% of the initial value for the Pt/C catalyst. Experimental and theoretical studies reveal that the Cr modifier not only creates electron-rich states that restrain lone-pair electron donation but also downshifts the d-band center to suppress d-electron back-donation, synergistically weakening NH3 adsorption.

Abstract
Activation of inflammasomes-immune system receptor sensor complexes that selectively activate inflammatory responses-has been associated with diverse human diseases, and many nanomedicine studies have reported that structurally and chemically diverse inorganic nanomaterials cause excessive inflammasome activation. Here, in stark contrast to reports of other inorganic nanomaterials, we find that nickel-cobalt alloy magnetic nanocrystals (NiCo NCs) actually inhibit activation of NLRP3, NLRC4 and AIM2 inflammasomes. We show that NiCo NCs disrupt the canonical inflammasome ASC speck formation process by downregulating the lncRNA Neat1, and experimentally confirm that the entry of NiCo NCs into cells is required for the observed inhibition of inflammasome activation. Furthermore, we find that NiCo NCs inhibit neutrophil recruitment in an acute peritonitis mouse model and relieve symptoms in a colitis mouse model, again by inhibiting inflammasome activation. Beyond demonstrating a highly surprising and apparently therapeutic impact for an inorganic nanomaterial on inflammatory responses, our work suggests that nickel- and cobalt-containing nanomaterials may offer an opportunity to design anti-inflammatory nanomedicines for the therapeutics of macrophage-mediated diseases.

Abstract
Caring for an ill relative with schizophrenia can lead to both negative and positive experiences. The study aimed to determine the relationship between caregiving burden and positive caregiving experiences and evaluate the roles of hope and social support as possible mediators in this relationship. This study included 344 Chinese family caregivers of adults with schizophrenia. Instruments included Positive Aspects of Caregiving, Herth Hope Index, Caregiver Burden Inventory, and Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support. Data was analysed by Mann-Whitney U tests, Kruskal-Wallis H tests, Spearman correlation, and a serial mediation model. Results showed that hope and social support separately and serially mediated the relationship between caregiving burden and positive caregiving experiences. The mediation effect of hope was stronger than that of social support and their serial mediation effect. Increasing hope and social support of family caregivers may alleviate caregiving burden and improve positive caregiving experiences.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Changes in hormone levels, improper lipid metabolism, and oxidative stress all significantly contribute to the pathogenic process of polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). According to earlier research, pioglitazone and alpha-lipoic acid are crucial in the emergence of PCOS. The beneficial effects of pioglitazone and alpha-lipoic acid on PCOS were examined in the current study. PATIENTS AND METHODS The 120 patients with PCOS received three months of treatment in pioglitazone groups (n=40 case, 30 mg/time, 1 time/day), α-lipoic acid (n=40 case, 0.6 g/time, 1 time/day), and combination therapy (n=40 case, pioglitazone 30 mg/time, 1 time/day and α-lipoic acid, 0.6 g/time, 1 time/day). Before and after therapy, the following factors were evaluated: the hormonal profile, fasting serum insulin, body weight, body mass index (BMI), menstruation status, oxidative stress, and indications of lipid metabolism. RESULTS The combination of pioglitazone and α-lipoic acid has a significantly improving effect on BMI, body weight, oxidative stress levels, lipid metabolism, and menstrual status. A significant increase in body weight, BMI, and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) levels were found in mice after being treated with α-lipoic acid alone. However, the use pioglitazone alone improves body weight, BMI, the calculation of insulin resistance index (HOMA-IR), Area under the curve (AUC)-insulin, fasting glucose/insulin (G/I) ratio, total testosterone, and malondialdehyde (MDA) levels in post-treatment than pre-treatment. CONCLUSIONS These findings suggest that pioglitazone alone has a better effect than alpha-lipoic acid in improving oxidative stress levels, BMI, and menstrual cyclicity. Additionally, treatment with pioglitazone and alpha-lipoic acid did demonstrate a greater effect than monotherapy with each medication alone.

Abstract
The Delta variant of SARS-CoV-2 dominated the COVID-19 pandemic due to its high viral replication capacity and immune evasion, causing massive outbreaks of cases, hospitalizations, and deaths. Currently, variant identification is performed mainly by sequencing. However, the high requirements for equipment and operators as well as its high cost have limited its application in underdeveloped regions. To achieve an economical and rapid method of variant identification suitable for undeveloped areas, we applied an amplification-refractory mutation system (ARMS) based on PCR for the detection of novel coronavirus variants. The results showed that this method could be finished in 90 min and detect as few as 500 copies/mL and not react with SARS-Coronavirus, influenza A H1N1(2009), and other cross-pathogens or be influenced by fresh human blood, α- interferon, and other interfering substances. In a set of double-blind trials, tests of 262 samples obtained from patients confirmed with Delta variant infection revealed that our method was able to accurately identify the Delta variant with high sensitivity and specificity. In conclusion, the ARMS-PCR method applied in Delta variant identification is rapid, sensitive, specific, economical, and suitable for undeveloped areas. In our future study, ARMS-PCR will be further applied in the identification of other variants, such as Omicron.

Abstract
Hydrofluoroolefins (HFOs) are being used as substitutes for potent greenhouse gas hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs). However, the use and environmental impacts of HFOs are of great concern due to the rapid degradation of HFOs to produce persistent and phytotoxic trifluoroacetic acid (TFA). Here, we provide a comprehensive projection of HFO emissions in China during 2024-2060 for the first time. Under the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol, China's HFO emissions are estimated to increase from 1.7 (1.3-2.3) to 148.8 (111.4-185.4) kt in 2024-2060 with cumulative emissions of 2.8 (2.0-3.5) Gt, and cumulative reduced HFCs emissions are evaluated to be 5.4 Gt CO2-equivalent. High HFO emissions would be distributed mainly in the North China Plain and the eastern and coastal areas. HFO-1234yf (2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene) contributes most of HFO emissions with a cumulative emission of 1.7 Gt in 2024-2060, while the cumulative increment of TFA deposition from HFO-1234yf emissions would reach 0.4-1.0 Gt. The long-term national-gridded HFO emission inventories can provide scientific support for evaluating the environmental risks of HFOs and developing HFC phase-out pathways for addressing climate change.

Abstract
Peroxyacetyl nitrate (PAN) is one of the critical secondary pollutants in photochemical smog. This study investigated the relationship between PAN and PAN precursors with the Regional Atmospheric Chemical Mechanism version 2 model in six episodes recorded in Zhengzhou. In all episodes, peroxyacetyl radical (PA) was primarily produced by acetaldehyde oxidation, with more than 70% contributions. In photochemical episodes and photochemical-haze co-occurring episodes (combined episodes), methylglyoxal secondarily contributes 8.1%-10.6% to PA while in haze pollution, the propagation of other radicals to PA is the second most important source (12.0%-19.1%). Among anthropogenic non-methane hydrocarbons, alkene restricted PAN formation as first-generation precursors, with the relative incremental reactivity of PAN (RIRPAN) more than 0.6 during three-type episodes. Nitrous acid (HONO) also played important role in PAN formation. Especially during photochemical episodes, RIRPAN(HONO) reached 0.79, which was comparable to the RIRPAN value of alkene. Through sensitivity analysis of the relative formation of PAN to O3 (the amount of PAN generated when 100 ppb O3 formed), HONO was identified as the key precursor of PAN in haze pollution by promoting the oxidation of NMHC, while alkene predominated the relative formation of PAN to O3 in photochemical and combined pollution through producing acetaldehyde. The sensitivity of PAN to HONO is obviously enhanced with higher NOx/VOC ratios during photochemical and combined pollution.

Abstract
Understanding how nanomaterials evolve during the etching process is critical in many fields. Herein, the wet chemical etching process of zinc oxide (ZnO) nanowires is studied in situ in radiolytic water via liquid cell transmission electron microscopy (LCTEM). The dissolution rate of thin nanowires is constant with reducing diameter, while thick nanowires (with the original diameter being larger than 95 nm) show complicated etching behaviors. The dissolution rate of thick nanowires is constant at the first stage and then increases. Anisotropic etching occurs at both ends of thick nanowires and distinct tips are formed. Different polarities at the two ends of the nanowire lead to differently shaped tips and different tip formation processes. The arrangement of the sidewall cones determines the macroscopic angle of the final tips. The present results are important for understanding liquid phase etching behavior in different dimensions and with different polar ends.

Abstract
Wee1 has emerged as a potential target in cancer therapy due to its critical role in the regulation of the cell cycle. Here, we describe a series of Wee1 inhibitors with a novel scaffold that are potent inhibitors of this kinase (IC50 = 19-1485 nM). These inhibitors demonstrated robust cytotoxicity in MV-4-11 and T47D cell lines (MV-4-11 IC50 = 660-2690 nM, T47D IC50 = 2670-20,000 nM) and displayed good stability in mouse liver microsomes in vitro. Additionally, compound 34 showed remarkable selectivity (more than 500-fold) over the other 9 kinases. Further mechanistic studies demonstrated that compound 34 displayed measurable effects on downstream biomarkers and induced cancer cell apoptosis and cell cycle arrest in the G0/G1 phase. Taken together, these results show that compound 34, potentially a leading Wee1 inhibitor, warrants further investigation.

Abstract
The role of collagen XII in regulating injury repair and reestablishment of corneal function is unknown. This manuscript aims to investigate the role(s) of collagen XII in the repair of incisional and debridement injuries in an adult mouse model. Two different types of injury in wild type and Col12a1-/- corneas were created to investigate the effects of collagen XII -in wound repair and scar formation-by using clinical photographs, immunohistology, second harmonic generation imaging and electron microscopy. Results showed that collagen XII is a regulator of wound closure after incisional injuries. Absence of collagen XII retarded wound closure and the wound healing process. These findings show that collagen XII regulates fibrillogenesis, CD68 cell lineage infiltration, and myofibroblast survival following injury. In vitro studies suggest that collagen XII regulates deposition of an early and provisional matrix by interacting with two proteins regulating early matrix deposition: fibronectin and LTBP1(latent transforming growth factor β binding protein 1). In conclusion, collagen XII regulates tissue repair in corneal incisional wounds. Understanding the function of collagen XII during wound healing has significant translational value.

Abstract
AIM To determine the core competencies of clinical internships for international postgraduate nursing students undertaking a two-year professional program in China. BACKGROUND Clinical internship is an important part of nursing education and is the cornerstone for the future training of nursing professionals. However, in terms of providing a basis for the training and assessment of international postgraduate nursing students undertaking a two-year professional program in China, their core competencies of clinical internships have not yet been sufficiently determined. METHODS Focus group interviews and a two-round Delphi method were conducted. The preliminary list of core competencies was determined based on a scoping review and focus group interviews. Subsequently, experts provided suggestions for modifications to the core competencies in two rounds of the Delphi survey. The response rate (RR), composite reliability (Cr), coefficient of variation and Kendall coefficient of indices were calculated. RESULTS Twenty experts completed two rounds of Delphi expert consultation and reached consensus on five first-level indices and 13 s-level indices with 27 connotations. The RR values for the two rounds of consultation were 100 %, the Cr values were 0.853 and 0.873 and the Kendall coordination coefficients were 0.134-0.250 (p < 0.05). CONCLUSION The core competencies identified in this research can provide a basis for further training international postgraduate nursing students undertaking a two-year professional program in China through internship programs. This research also provides a reference for effectively evaluating and improving clinical programs.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Both clinical and cultural competencies are of paramount importance in ensuring patients' safety and high-quality care. While problem-based learning (PBL) is a widely applied pedagogy in nursing education, an emerging technology-based pedagogy, virtual simulation provides a realistic clinical learning experience for students. It can be an effective solution for continuing clinical and cultural learning across countries in the era of the pandemic. OBJECTIVES This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of virtual simulation and PBL on the perceived clinical and cultural competence for nursing students. DESIGN A randomized controlled cross-over study design was used. SETTINGS AND PARTICIPANTS Sixty-one undergraduate and postgraduate nursing students from five Asian regions were selected for participation. METHODS Participants were randomized to receive either virtual simulation (group A) or PBL (group B) for one day, followed by another intervention on the second day. Three self-reported questionnaires were used: Clinical Competence Questionnaire (CCQ), Inventory for Assessing the Process of Cultural Competence among Healthcare Professionals-Student Version (IAPCC-SV), and demographic questionnaire. RESULTS The results revealed that students in both arms had significant improvements in CCQ total score (A: d = 21.500, P < 0.001; B: d = 16.710, P = 0.001), nursing professional behavior (A: d = 8.233, P < 0.001; B: d = 6.323, P < 0.001), and advanced nursing skills (A: d = 2.533, P = 0.008; B: d = 2.129, P = 0.029) after two interventions. In addition, both arms demonstrated significant improvements in IAPCC-SV total score (A: d = 3.467, P = 0.037; B: d = 4.032, P = 0.010) and cultural skills (A: d = 0.767, P = 0.012; B: d = 1.000, P = 0.001). No significant differences were observed between the two arms. CONCLUSIONS The findings indicated that both virtual simulation and PBL were effective in promoting students' perceived clinical and cultural competence. As both education modes have their own uniqueness and effectiveness in both outcomes, the combination of both could enhance the variability of learning modalities. Notably, the use of virtual simulation first could engage students better in learning and achieve better educational outcomes.

Abstract
PURPOSE Corneal melting and perforation are feared sight-threatening complications of infections, autoimmune disease, and severe burns. Assess the use of genipin in treating stromal melt. METHODS A model for corneal wound healing was created through epithelial debridement and mechanical burring to injure the corneal stromal matrix in adult mice. Murine corneas were then treated with varying concentrations of genipin, a natural occurring crosslinking agent, to investigate the effects that matrix crosslinking using genipin has in wound healing and scar formation. Genipin was used in patients with active corneal melting. RESULTS Corneas treated with higher concentrations of genipin were found to develop denser stromal scarring in a mouse model. In human corneas, genipin promoted stromal synthesis and prevention of continuous melt. Genipin mechanisms of action create a favorable environment for upregulation of matrix synthesis and corneal scarring. CONCLUSION Our data suggest that genipin increases matrix synthesis and inhibits the activation of latent transforming growth factor-β. These findings are translated to patients with severe corneal melting.

Abstract
This study focussed on evaluating the status of recent research on medical decision-making for adolescents with depression and identifying research hotspots and frontiers via CiteSpace. We extracted studies that were concerned with medical decision-making for adolescents with depression from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC), covering the period from 1 January 1999 to 20 September 2022. We used CiteSpace to generate online maps of worldwide cooperation among countries, institutions, and authors. Hotspots and frontiers were systematically summarized. A total of 368 papers related to medical decision-making for adolescents with depression were obtained from WoSCC. The most prolific author was Nick Midgley (seven papers). The United States and University College London were the leading country and institution in this research area, with 177 and 17 papers, respectively. Countries, institutions, and authors all actively collaborated. Main recent research trends include the preference or attitude towards medical treatment in adolescents with depression; approaches for adolescents with depression to seeking medical help; and the key role of parent, family, and primary care in medical decision-making for adolescents. Thus, further attention should be paid to determining how to promote the role of parents, families, and primary care in the decision-making process and create appropriate online help-seeking tools and decision aids to facilitate shared decision-making in the future.

Abstract
Background Telehealth and telemedicine have become indispensable healthcare delivery tools during the COVID-19 pandemic. Older individuals with cirrhosis have complex medical needs that are currently unmet due to the growing disease burden and decreased access to care. Delivering timely specialist care virtually to older adults with cirrhosis will likely be beneficial and acceptable to such patients; however, this has not yet been prospectively evaluated. Purpose The primary goal is to pilot the delivery of dual specialist care from a hepatologist and geriatrician, delivered virtually, for older adults living with liver cirrhosis who are at high risk of geriatric syndromes (age >/= 65 with frailty, undifferentiated cognitive impairment from dementia or hepatic encephalopathy, recurrent falls, risk factors for polypharmacy and moderate to severe malnutrition). Care is delivered using a dedicated hepatology-geriatric referral pathway. Primary objectives include evaluating the impact of this approach on emergency care and inpatient utilization, along with patient attitude and satisfaction to the virtual interdisciplinary care delivery model. Method This pilot quality improvement study was conducted in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Ethics approval was obtained from the Nova Scotia Health Research Ethics Board and the University of Alberta Research Ethics Board. Fifty to one hundred participants (age 65 years or older with at least one geriatric syndrome; diagnosis of liver cirrhosis by liver elastography or liver biopsy, or Fibrosis-4 Index for Liver Fibrosis greater than three and having radiological features of cirrhosis and/or portal hypertension) were recruited between September 2022 to December 2022 at the time of their hepatology consultation. After consent and screening, each patient underwent a telehealth appointment by zoom with a geriatrician within four weeks of their initial hepatology assessment. Follow-up by telephone using a standardized survey regarding ease of access and quality of their telehealth experience then occurred at 3-4 weeks, 3 months and 6 months for emergency room visits and hospital admission status. Abstract
Samples of the carbonaceous asteroid Ryugu were brought to Earth by the Hayabusa2 spacecraft. We analyzed 17 Ryugu samples measuring 1 to 8 millimeters. Carbon dioxide-bearing water inclusions are present within a pyrrhotite crystal, indicating that Ryugu's parent asteroid formed in the outer Solar System. The samples contain low abundances of materials that formed at high temperatures, such as chondrules and calcium- and aluminum-rich inclusions. The samples are rich in phyllosilicates and carbonates, which formed through aqueous alteration reactions at low temperature, high pH, and water/rock ratios of <1 (by mass). Less altered fragments contain olivine, pyroxene, amorphous silicates, calcite, and phosphide. Numerical simulations, based on the mineralogical and physical properties of the samples, indicate that Ryugu's parent body formed ~2 million years after the beginning of Solar System formation.
