Abstract
The precise measurement of the spectrum of protons, the most abundant component of the cosmic radiation, is necessary to understand the source and acceleration of cosmic rays in the Milky Way. This work reports the measurement of the cosmic ray proton fluxes with kinetic energies from 40 GeV to 100 TeV, with 2 1/2 years of data recorded by the DArk Matter Particle Explorer (DAMPE). This is the first time that an experiment directly measures the cosmic ray protons up to ~100 TeV with high statistics. The measured spectrum confirms the spectral hardening at ~300 GeV found by previous experiments and reveals a softening at ~13.6 TeV, with the spectral index changing from ~2.60 to ~2.85. Our result suggests the existence of a new spectral feature of cosmic rays at energies lower than the so-called knee and sheds new light on the origin of Galactic cosmic rays.

Abstract
The H8 subtype viruses are rarely isolated from wild ducks. Shanghai is one of the important wintering or stopover sites on the East Asia-Australia Migration Flyway. An influenza virus, subtype H8N4, was firstly isolated from a common teal (Anas crecca) in Shanghai during 2017-2018 in this study. To clarify the genetic characteristics of the H8N4 virus, the whole genome sequences were analyzed. Phylogenetic analysis of the hemagglutinin and neuraminidase genes showed that they shared highest nucleotide identity (99.19%-99.64%) with the Japan duck-origin H8N4 virus collected in 2016 (A/duck/Aichi/231003/2016) and belonged to the Eurasian-like avian lineage. Six other genes of the H8N4 isolated virus were all highly similar to the corresponding genes of a wide range of AIV subtypes including H9N2, H5N7, H3N8, H1N2, H4N6 and H1N1. The results indicated that the H8N4 virus was a multiple reassortant virus. The study emphasized that the continuous surveillance of influenza virus in wild birds should be strengthened. Abstract
Objective: To analyze the characteristics of epidemiology and neisseria meningitidis (Nm) serogroups distribution for meningococcal meningitis (MM) cases in China from 2015 to 2017. Methods: The data of MM cases were collected from National Notifiable Diseases Registry System (NNDRS) and case-based MM surveillance system (MMSS) from 2015 to 2017; Demographic data are from the National Bureau of statistics. Inclusion criteria: the date of onset was January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2017, the status of infectious disease report card was "final examination card", the cases are classified as "laboratory confirmed cases" and "clinical diagnostic cases", and the card data information of disease name was "Meningococcal meningitis". According to the Diagnostic Criteria for Meningococcal meningitis (WS295-2008), laboratory confirm was made for reported cases or clinically diagnosed cases of meningococcal meningitis. Results: From 2015 to 2017, a total of 325 MM cases were reported in China, with an average annual incidence of 0.007 9 per 100 000 population. And 148 cases were laboratory confirmed. There were 3, 15, 12, 5, 2 and 18 provinces which were reported serogroup A, B, C, W, Y, Others and NG MM Cases, respectively. Except for Tibet and Hainan, other provinces have reported group A cases; The provinces reporting group B, C, W and Y cases increased by 9, 11, 13 and 2 provinces in 2007, respectively compared with 2005. Serogroup B was the primary reason causing the cases of <1 year old and 1-6 years old children; and in this age group, 51.43% (18 cases) and 68.18% (15 cases) of group B were accounted for in laboratory confirmed, respectively; Serogroup C, others and NG was the major reason in the cases of 7-12 and >12 years old students and adults: 33.33% (5 cases) and 26.32% (20 cases) of group C were accounted for in laboratory confirmed respectively, then 26.67% (4 cases) and 34.21% (26 cases) of group others and NG were accounted for respectively; 2 cases of serogroup Y were all >12 years old. Conclusion: The epidemic serogroup of Nm caused MM cases showed a diversifying trend. To develop and provide new vaccines for serogroup B and other bacteria groups should be one of the important tasks for MM control and prevention in the future.

Abstract
A high-order implicit multidimensional particle-in-cell (PIC) method is developed for simulating plasmas at solid densities. The space-time arrangement is based on Yee and a leapfrog algorithm for electromagnetic fields and particle advancement. The field solver algorithm completely eliminates numerical instabilities found in explicit PIC methods with relaxed time step and grid resolution. Moreover, this algorithm eliminates the numerical cooling found in the standard implicit PIC methods by using a pseudo-electric-field method. The particle pusher algorithm combines the standard Boris particle pusher with the Newton-Krylov iteration method. This algorithm increases the precision accuracy by several orders of magnitude when compared with the standard Boris particle pusher and also significantly decreases the iteration time when compared with the pure Newton-Krylov method. The code is tested with several benchmarks, including Weibel instability, and relativistic laser plasma interactions at both low and solid densities.

Abstract
A particle-in-cell (PIC) simulation code is used to investigate the transport and energy deposition of an intense proton beam in solid-state material. This code is able to simulate close particle interactions by using a Monte Carlo binary collision model. Such a model takes into account all related interactions between the incident protons and material particles, e.g., proton-nucleus, proton-bound-electron, and proton-free-electron collisions. This code also includes a Monte Carlo model for the collisional ionization and electron-ion recombination as well as the depression of the ionization potential by shielding of surrounding particles. Moreover, for intense proton beams, in order to include collective electromagnetic effects, significantly speed up the simulation, and simultaneously avoid numerical instabilities, an approach that combines the PIC method with a reduced model of high-density plasma based on Ohm's law is used. Simulation results indicate that the collective electromagnetic effects have a significant influence on the transport and energy deposition of proton beams. The Ohmic electric field would increase the stopping power and leads to a shortened range of proton beams in solid. The magnetic field would localize the energy deposition by collimating proton beams, which would otherwise be deflected by the collisions with nuclei.

Abstract
Protein testing in blood is important for clinical analysis. Traditional blood tests are performed in centralized laboratories and are slow to provide results. In contrast, point-of-care devices deliver rapid results in non-laboratory settings, allowing timely analysis and in turn reducing healthcare costs. Successful point-of-care platforms require seamless integration of chemical assays, fluid management and signal readout. In this regard, we present an integrated, compact and automated electronic system for point-of-care protein sensing. The system comprises of a microfluidics-based electrochemical biosensor, amperometry circuitry and automated microfluidic fluid handling circuitry. This platform utilizes magnetic microbeads to expedite an electronic enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, and microfluidics to manage small volumes and automate assay operations. A commercial single-chip potentiostat is utilized for amperometry measurements and microfluidics control. Using this all-electrical system, we demonstrate an integrated and automated assay for human interleukin-6.

Abstract
Objective: To observe how glutamine affect the skeletal muscle membrane repair in severely burned mice through promoting the mitsugumin 53 (MG53) dimerization in skeletal muscle and to explore its functional mechanism. Methods: (1) Animal experiments. A total of 179 BALB/c male mice aged 6 to 8 weeks were divided into sham injury group (n=43), burn group (n=73) and burn+ glutamine group (n=63) according to the random number table (the same grouping method below). Mice in sham injury group were sham injured on the back, and mice in burn group and burn+ glutamine group were inflicted with 30% total body surface area full-thickness scald (hereinafter referred to as burn) on the back. Mice in burn+ glutamine group were intragastrically administered with glutamine (1 mg/kg), and the other two groups were given the same amount of amino acid solution once per day for 14 days. On post burn hour 12, 10 mice from burn group were taken for preparation of burn serum, which is used in the following cell experiments. Blood samples were collected from the hearts to prepare serum from 10 mice in sham injury group immediately after burn and from 10 mice in burn group and burn+ glutamine group on post burn day (PBD) 5, 10, and 14, respectively. And then the whole gastrocnemius muscle was harvested after the mice were sacrificed. On PBD 10, the whole flexor brevis digitorum was harvested from 6 mice in the 3 groups respectively after the mice were sacrificed. On PBD 5, 10, and 14, the whole gastrocnemius muscle tissue was harvested from another 9 mice in the 3 groups respectively after the mice were sacrificed. The mass of the whole gastrocnemius muscle of mice was weighed. The total protein content of gastrocnemius muscle of mice was detected by coomassie brilliant blue method. The repair function of myolemma of flexor brevis digitorum of mice was detected by two-photon laser fiber membrane perforating. The serum content of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) of mice was determined with radioimmunoassay. The expressions of MG53 dimer and monomer in gastrocnemius of mice were determined with non-reductive electrophoresis-Western blotting. The protein expressions of endoplasmic reticulum stress sign proteins CCAAT/enhancer binding protein homologous protein (CHOP) and glucose-regulated protein 78 (GRP78) in gastrocnemius of mice were determined with Western blotting. (2) Cell experiments. Mice skeletal muscle precursor cells C2C12 were cultured in vitro, and cells of the second passage were selected for the experiments. The cells were divided into normal control group, burn serum group, and burn serum+ glutamine group, with 3 dishes in each group and 1×10(3) cells in each dish. Cells in normal control group were cultured with 1 mL Dulbecco's modified Eagle medium (DMEM) with fetal bovine serum of volume fraction 10%, cells in burn serum group were cultured with 1 mL DMEM with burn serum of volume fraction 10%, and cells in burn serum+ glutamine group were cultured with 1 mL DMEM with burn serum of volume fraction 10% and 4 μL glutamine with a final molar concentration of 8 mmol/L. After 24 hours of culturing, the repair function of myocyte membrane after differentiation of skeletal muscle precursor cells in mice was detected with the same method before. Another cells were grouped and cultured as before, with 3 wells in each group and 1×10(5) cells in each well. After 24 hours of culturing, the expressions of MG53 dimer and monomer and endoplasmic reticulum stress marker proteins in the cells were detected as before. Data were processed with analysis of variance of factorial design, one-way analysis of variance, least significant difference t test, and Student Newman Keuls test. Results: Animal experiments. (1) Compared with those in sham injury group, the mass and total protein content of gastrocnemius muscle of mice in burn group were significantly decreased on PBD 5, 10, and 14 (P<0.05). Compared with those in burn group, the mass and total protein content of gastrocnemius muscle of mice in burn+ glutamine group were significantly increased on PBD 5, 10, and 14 (P<0.05). (2) Compared with that in sham injury group (0.9±0.4), the fluorescence intensity of FM1-43 in myofiber of mice in burn group (7.8±0.4) was significantly increased on PBD 10 (t=7.75, P<0.05). Compared with that in burn group, the fluorescence intensity of FM1-43 in myofiber of mice in burn+ glutamine group (4.0±0.4) was significantly decreased on PBD 10 (t=-4.31, P<0.05). (3) Compared with that in sham injury group, the serum content of TNF-α and IL-6 of mice in burn group was significantly increased on PBD 5, 10, and 14 (P<0.05). Compared with that in burn group, the serum content of TNF-α and IL-6 of mice in burn+ glutamine group was significantly decreased on PBD 5, 10, and 14 (P<0.05). (4) Compared with 56.97±2.82, 44.89±4.72, 42.46±1.06, 14.26±0.99, 62.36±2.74, and 29.45±0.84 in sham injury group, the expressions of MG53 dimer and monomer in gastrocnemius of mice were significantly decreased in burn group on PBD 5, 10, and 14 (6.16±0.25, 26.09±1.22, 28.86±1.53, 5.63±0.25, 26.74±0.79, 4.41±0.52, P<0.05). Compared with those in burn group, the expression of MG53 dimer of gastrocnemius of mice in burn+ glutamine group was significantly increased on PBD 10 and 14 (36.79±1.44, 43.96±1.62), and the expression of MG53 monomer of gastrocnemius muscle of mice in burn+ glutamine group was significantly increased on PBD 14 (13.16±2.17, P<0.05). Compared with those in sham injury group, the protein expressions of CHOP and GRP78 in gastrocnemius muscle of mice in burn group were significantly elevated on PBD 5, 10, and 14 (P<0.05). Compared with those in burn group, the protein expressions of CHOP and GRP78 in gastrocnemius of mice in burn+ glutamine group were significantly reduced on PBD 5, 10 (P<0.05). Cell experiments. (1) Compared with that in normal control group (1.76±0.25), the fluorescence intensity of FM1-43 in cells in burn serum group (9.46±1.22) was significantly increased after 24 hours of culturing (t=12.28, P<0.05). Compared with that in burn serum group, the fluorescence intensity of FM1-43 in cells in burn serum+ glutamine group (4.71±0.45) was significantly decreased after 24 hours of culturing (t=-7.59, P<0.05). (2) The expressions of MG53 monomer of cells were similar in normal control group, burn serum group, and burn+ glutamine group after 24 hours of culturing (P>0.05). Compared with 58.5±1.8 in normal control group, the expression of MG53 dimer of cells in burn serum group was significantly decreased after 24 hours of culturing (14.1±1.4, P<0.05). Compared with that in burn serum group, the expression of MG53 dimer of cells in burn serum+ glutamine group was significantly increased after 24 hours of culturing (30.9±0.6, P<0.05). Compared with those in normal control group, the protein expressions of CHOP and GRP78 of cells were significantly elevated in burn serum group after 24 hours of culturing (P<0.05). Compared with those in burn serum group, the protein expressions of CHOP and GRP78 of cells were significantly reduced in burn serum+ glutamine group after 24 hours of culturing (P<0.05). Conclusions: Glutamine can promote MG53 dimerization by alleviating endoplasmic reticulum stress in severely burned mice. Thus it can accelerate skeletal muscle membrane repair, reduce the local inflammatory reaction of skeletal muscle and consumption of skeletal muscle.

Abstract
Fever and abdominal pain are common symptoms and could be main manifestations in patients with autoinflammatory diseases. A 48-year-old female patient was admitted with recurrent fever and abdominal pain for 9 years. Serum level of inflammatory markers synchronously fluctuated with fever, and returned to normal when fever subsided. The periodic episodes of fever occurred every 1 to 4 months and failed to respond to empirical antibiotics. Whole exome sequencing showed heterozygous mutation of NOD2 gene q902k, leading to the final diagnosis of autoinflammatory disease. Corticosteroid and tripterygiumglycosides were effective for the disease remission.

Abstract
Autophagy can regulate cell growth, proliferation, and stability of cell environment. Its dysfunction can be involved in a variety of diseases. Hydrogen sulfide (H(2)S) is an important signaling molecule that regulates many physiological and pathological processes. Recent studies indicate that H(2)S plays an important protective role in many diseases through influencing autophagy, but its mechanism is not fully understood. This article reviewed the progress about the effect of H(2)S on autophagy in diseases in recent years in order to provide theoretical basis for the further research on the interaction of H(2)S and autophagy and the mechanisms involved.

Abstract
Objectives: To analyze the cardiac T2* value, liver iron concentration (LIC) , and related laboratory parameters in myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) with iron overload and evaluate the changes of organ functions after iron chelation therapy. To explore the value of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) T2* in making early diagnosis and assessing organs iron overload. Methods: Retrospective investigation was used to observe the cardiac T2* value, LIC, iron metabolism parameters and related laboratory parameters of 85 MDS patients from Nov 2014 to Jan 2018. Among them, 7 MDS patients with Low/Int-1 have received iron chelation therapy for 6 months during two MRI examinations. The above parameters were collected before and after iron chelation therapy for comparison. Results: Correlations were found between heart T2* value and age (rs=-0.290, P=0.007) and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) (rs=0.265, P=0.009) . There was a significant negative correlation between heart T2* value and blood transfusion units (rs=-0.701, P<0.001) . There was a significant positive correlation between LIC and serum ferritin (SF) (rs=0.577, P<0.001) . There was also a correlation between LIC and ALT (rs=0.268, P=0.014) and blood transfusion units (rs=0.244, P=0.034) . There was no correlation between heart T2* and pro-BNP, SF (all P>0.05) , and no correlation between LIC and age (P>0.05) . The increase of heart T2* between the normal and abnormal groups was statistically significant (P=0.005) , but the iron overload ratio of the heart T2*<20 ms was not significant between the two groups. There was statistical significance in the proportion of severe liver iron overload (LIC>15 mg/g DW) (P=0.045) . After iron chelation therapy, the values of SF, transferrin saturation, ALT, AST, pro-BNP and LIC of 7 patients were decreased compared with values before iron chelation therapy, and the peripheral blood cell level was increased. However, the changes of LVEF and T2* values after iron chelation were not obvious. Conclusion: MRI T2* may be a predictor of iron overload in patients with MDS in early stage, and may be more valuable compare with LVEF, SF and other laboratory indicators. The safety and repeatability of MRI cardiac T2* examination are recognized, and it can be used as an ideal detection for patients with iron overload.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Checkpoint blockade immunotherapy has improved metastatic cancer patient survival, but response rates remain low. There is an unmet need to identify mechanisms and tools to circumvent resistance. In human patients, responses to checkpoint blockade therapy correlate with tumor mutation load, and intrinsic resistance associates with pre-treatment signatures of epithelial mesenchymal transition (EMT), immunosuppression, macrophage chemotaxis and TGFβ signaling. METHODS To facilitate studies on mechanisms of squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) evasion of checkpoint blockade immunotherapy, we sought to develop a novel panel of murine syngeneic SCC lines reflecting the heterogeneity of human cancer and its responses to immunotherapy. We characterized six Kras-driven cutaneous SCC lines with a range of mutation loads. Following implantation into syngeneic FVB mice, we examined multiple tumor responses to α-PD-1, α-TGFβ or combinatorial therapy, including tumor growth rate and regression, tumor immune cell composition, acquired tumor immunity, and the role of cytotoxic T cells and Tregs in immunotherapy responses. RESULTS We show that α-PD-1 therapy is ineffective in establishing complete regression (CR) of tumors in all six SCC lines, but causes partial tumor growth inhibition of two lines with the highest mutations loads, CCK168 and CCK169. α-TGFβ monotherapy results in 20% CR and 10% CR of established CCK168 and CCK169 tumors respectively, together with acquisition of long-term anti-tumor immunity. α-PD-1 synergizes with α-TGFβ, increasing CR rates to 60% (CCK168) and 20% (CCK169). α-PD-1 therapy enhances CD4 + Treg/CD4 + Th ratios and increases tumor cell pSmad3 expression in CCK168 SCCs, whereas α-TGFβ antibody administration attenuates these effects. We show that α-TGFβ acts in part through suppressing immunosuppressive Tregs induced by α-PD-1, that limit the anti-tumor activity of α-PD-1 monotherapy. Additionally, in vitro and in vivo, α-TGFβ acts directly on the tumor cell to attenuate EMT, to activate a program of gene expression that stimulates immuno-surveillance, including up regulation of genes encoding the tumor cell antigen presentation machinery. CONCLUSIONS We show that α-PD-1 not only initiates a tumor rejection program, but can induce a competing TGFβ-driven immuno-suppressive program. We identify new opportunities for α-PD-1/α-TGFβ combinatorial treatment of SCCs especially those with a high mutation load, high CD4+ T cell content and pSmad3 signaling. Our data form the basis for clinical trial of α-TGFβ/α-PD-1 combination therapy (NCT02947165).

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the hearing loss and speech disorders in the elderly, to analyze the risk factors of the elderly deafness, as well as to provide reference for the clinical research of the elderly deafness. Methods: From March 2016 to March 2018, 913 elderly people, who were tested for hearing and speech disorders, were examined by a unified questionnaire to investigate the demographic data of the subjects and the related factors of deafness, and the hearing and speech recognition tests were carried out. According to the hearing loss, the hearing impaired group was divided into the hearing impaired group (500, 1 000, 2 000 and 4 000 Hz, the average hearing threshold>25 dBHL) and the non hearing impaired group (the average hearing threshold of the four frequencies ≤25 dBHL), and then the single factor analysis and the unconditional Logistic regression analysis were used. Finally, the risk factors of senile deafness were analyzed. Results: Of the 913 elderly subjects in the survey, 389 (42.61%, 389/913) had no hearing impaired, 345 (37.79%, 345/913) were mild hearing impaired, and 149 (16.32%, 149/913) had moderate hearing loss. Twenty-six patients were severe hearing loss (2.85%, 26/913); 4 patients had severe hearing loss (0.44%, 4/913). Among the 524 hearing-impaired elderly, there were 244 speech-recognition disorders (46.56%, 244/524), of whom 106 were mild hearing-impaired, accounting for 30.72% (106/345), 108 were moderate hearing loss, accounting for 72.48% (108/149), 26 were severe hearing loss, accounting for 100% (26/26), and 4 were the profound hearing loss, accounting for 100% (4/4). Statistical analysis showed that the age, job status, history of hypertension, history of hyperglycemia, and smoking history were independent risk factors for senile hearing loss (P<0.05). Conclusions: High incidences of hearing and speech recognition obstacle are found in health examination for the elderly patients. Noise exposure, age, history of hypertension, high blood sugar, and smoking history are high-risk factors for senile deafness, therefore, prevention and rehabilitation programs are urgent to be developed.

Abstract
Downstaging of breast cancer primary lesions and metastatic axillary lymph nodes among patients who underwent neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) has raised the new challenges and opportunities on individualized breast cancer surgical treatment. Downstaging of the primary lesion has given patients that were previously deemed inoperable or not suitable for surgery a second chance. While downstaging of the lymph nodes has made it possible for sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) to safely replace axillary lymph node dissection. However, the detection rate and false negative rate of early breast cancer SLNB technique in post-NAC patients barely meet the standard of clinical practice. Therefore, it is required that SLNB in post-NAC patients to be carried out by a medical team with advanced imaging equipments and extensive experiences in SLNB. Furthermore, they should be able to precisely evaluate axillary lymph node status before and after NAC as well as mark metastatic lymph node before NAC. Indications of SLNB should be restricted to patients that are downstaged from cN0 to ycN0 or from cN1 to ycN0. Particularly, it is only safe for patients whose axillary lymph node status become negative after NAC to receive SLNB when dual tracer (blue dye and radionuclide), removing more than 2 sentinel lymph nodes and targeted axillary dissection technique are used.

This study summarized the common treatments of tinnitus and their research progress to provide clinicians with references for selecting the appropriate treatments for the tinnitus sufferers.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the clinical and pathological characteristics of chronic active Epstein-Barr virus associated enteritis (CAEAE) . Methods: The clinical data of 6 CAEAE patients in Peking Union Medical College Hospital were retrospectively analyzed from January 2010 to November 2017, including clinical manifestations, endoscopic, pathological features, medications and clinical outcome. Results: The male∶female ratio was 4∶2 and the average age was 34 years old. All patients did not have personal and family history of immunodeficiency. The common symptoms consisted of fever (6/6), abdominal pain (6/6), hematochezia (6/6) and diarrhea (5/6). The most frequently affected sites were colorectum (5/6), followed by small intestine (3/6). Further serologic tests revealed a high load of serum Epstein-Barr virus(EBV) DNA. The main manifestations under endoscopy were multifocal or diffuse irregular ulcers. There was inflammation in the ulcer bases and surrounding areas, where EBV-encoded small RNA (EBER) was positive by in situ hybridization (6/6). The common complications were massive hemorrhage (3/6) and intestinal perforation (2/6). None of treatment agents including glucocorticoid, ganciclovir, foscarnet sodium and cytotoxic drugs was effective. All patients died within 0.5 to 13 months after diagnosis. Conclusions: CAEAE in immunocompetent individuals is a rare disorder with poor prognosis. It is difficult to differentiate CAEAE from inflammatory bowel disease due to similar clinical and endoscopic manifestations.

Abstract
The study aimed to identify chemoradiotherapy (CRT)-sensitive biomarkers in colorectal cancer (CRC) patients. The GSE15781 dataset used in this study contains 42 samples: 22 CRC tissues (non-CRT: n = 13; CRT: n = 9) and 20 normal colorectal tissues (non-CRT: n = 10; CRT: n = 10). Following pretreatment, differentially expressed genes were selected using the limma package. Potential CRT-sensitive genes were identified with Venn analysis and then enriched in function and pathway clusters using the DAVID online tool. Moreover, protein-protein interaction (PPI) network analysis was implemented using the STRING database. The TRRUST database was used to establish a transcription factor (TF)-target transcriptional network. A miRNA-mRNA network was constructed based on relevant databases. miRNA and mRNA expression levels were analyzed using real-time quantitative PCR. A group of 259 candidate CRT-sensitive genes were identified that were mainly enriched in cell cycle regulation, adhesion-associated processes, and the p53 signaling pathway. A PPI network was established that contained striking nodes, including ITGA2, MYC, ESR1, and dihydropyrimidine dehydrogenase (DPYD), among which ESR1 was linked to MYC, and the two nodes were also highlighted in the TF-target regulation network. SRY-box 9 (SOX9) was another key TF. Hsa-miR-590-3p, hsa-miR-495, hsa-miR-320c, and hsa-miR-320d were predominant in the miRNA-mRNA network. Expression levels of SOX9, DPYD mRNA, miR-495, and miR-590-3p were clearly reduced after X-ray treatment in irradiated HT-29 cells, whereas that of miR-320d was notably enhanced. SOX9 may be a CRT-sensitive gene in CRC patients, and hsa-miR-590-3p, hsa-miR-495, and hsa-miR-320d may be CRT-sensitive microRNAs in CRC patients. Therefore, SOX9, hsa-miR-590-3p, hsa-miR-495, and hsa-miR-320d may be used as sensitive biomarkers in CRC patients.

Abstract
The aim of this study was to investigate whether induction of Hsp70 expression by co-enzyme Q10 (Q10) treatment protects chicken primary myocardial cells (CPMCs) from damage and apoptosis in response to heat stress for 5 hours. Analysis of the expression and distribution of Hsp70 and the levels of the damage-related enzymes creatine kinase-MB (CK-MB) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), as well as pathological analysis showed that co-enzyme Q10 alleviated the damage caused to CPMCs during heat stress. Further, analysis of cell apoptosis and the expression of cleaved caspase-3 indicated that co-enzyme Q10 did have an anti-apoptotic role during heat stress. Western blot analysis showed that pretreatment with co-enzyme Q10 led to a significant increase in the expression of Hsp70 during heat stress. Immunostaining assays confirmed the results of western blot analysis and also showed that co-enzyme Q10 could accelerate the translocation of Hsp70 into the nucleus during heat stress, but this was not observed in the group that was treated with only co-enzyme Q10. These findings seem to indicate that co-enzyme Q10 protected CPMCs from heat stress via the induction of Hsp70. To investigate this, 200 μM quercetin, an Hsp70 inhibitor, was used to inhibit the expression of Hsp70 2 h before heat stress. Quercetin pre-treatment was observed to suppress the expression of Hsp70 as well the protective function of co-enzyme Q10 at 5 h of heat stress. This finding confirms that Q10 brought about its effects via Hsp70 expression, but the mechanism underlying this needs further investigation.

The patient appeared temporary stable status after high dose vitamine-B(2) supplement whereas deterioration was still fatal with pulmonary infection, acute respiratory failure and acute heart failure.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To analyze and characterize the separation effectiveness of self-constructed asymmetrical flow field-flow fractionation system on proteins and lipoproteins, to achieve the optimization of the experimental conditions when separating lipoproteins by orthogonal design test and to investigate the carrier viscosity's influence on separation effectiveness. METHODS The evaluation of asymmetrical flow field-flow fractionation separation capacity was conducted by using two standard proteins (carbonic anhydrase and thyroglobulin). Under the optimized separation conditions of carbonic anhydrase and thyroglobulin, the channel actual thickness (after assembling, the actual thickness of separation channel was less than initial thickness) was calculated by the analytes' elution time based on the hydrokinetic theory. With orthogonal design test the optimized experimental conditions were studied and statistical analysis was carried on to find out the factors with statistical significance which needed further exploration. RESULTS According to the hydrodynamics principle and Stoke's function, the channel actual thickness was measured to be 164 μm by separating the two standard proteins, carbonic anhydrase and thyroglobulin, under proper experimental conditions. By the optimization based on orthogonal design test, base-line separation (the resolution had to be higher than 1.50) was achieved. The resolutions of the two experiments were 1.61 and 1.58. According to previous study/ pre-study and supporting theory, in the orthogonal design test, the total 5 factors were integrated for comprehensive investigation: the total flow rate (3.00, 3.50, 4.00, 4.50 mL/min), focus time (3.00, 3.50, 4.00, 4.50 min), transition time (0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 min), pH of the carrier fluid(6.8, 7.00, 7.20, 7.40) and viscosity of the carrier fluid hydroxypropylmethylcellulose concentration: 0.00%, 0.03%, 0.06%, 1.00%). Among the 5 factors, viscosity was found to have the statistical significance on separation effectiveness which was further investigated. The resolution of high density lipoprotein and low density lipoprotein was increased by the increasing viscosity which also caused more obvious negative spikes. CONCLUSION The separating capacities of self-constructed asymmetrical flow field-flow fractionation system on lipoproteins were verified to be effective and an optimized experimental condition was found to achieve the base-line separation of high density lipoprotein and low density lipoprotein. Viscosity of the carrier fluid was proved to have the statistical significance on lipoprotein separation.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Cytokines produced by various cells are strong local mediators of inflammation. Interleukin-1beta (IL-1β) and C-reactive protein (CRP) play essential roles in the development and progression of diabetes mellitus (DM). Thus periodontal diseases could be related to DM via the same mediators of inflammation. To evaluate plasma and gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) levels of IL-1β and CRP in adolescents with DM to further investigate whether DM has an impact on the levels of inflammation factors at an early stage, and to analyze the risk of developing periodontal diseases in adolescents with DM. METHODS A total of 121 adolescents aged from ten to sixteen years were enrolled, 41 adolescents diagnosed with diabetes mellitus were collected in the DM group, and 80 nondiabetic adolescents as the control group. The periodontal indices of each individual were recorded, including plaque index (PLI), modified bleeding index (mBI), probing depth (PD) and attachment loss (AL). GCF and intravenous blood samples were collected, and CRP and IL-1β levels were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RESULTS (1) PLI of DM group and control group were 1.23±0.05 and 0.95±0.04 separately, with significant difference (P=0.001). DM group and control group had mBI of 0.80±0.08 and 0.51±0.06 separately, with significant difference (P=0.003). Attachment loss was found in none of the subjects. PDs of DM group and control group were (2.37±0.51) mm and (2.31±0.05) mm separately, and there was no significant difference. (2) CRP in GCF was only detectable in partial of the individuals, with a detectable rate of 22.9% (11/48) in total. The detectable rate of CRP in GCF was significantly higher in DM group (38.5%) than that in control group (4.5%, P=0.006). The plasma level of CRP in DM group [0.23 (0.15, 1.89) mg/L] was higher than that in control group [0.19 (0.12, 4.18) mg/L], but without significance (P=0.776). (3) The plasma levels of IL-1β in DM group and control group were (14.11±0.57) ng/L and (14.71±0.50) ng/L separately, but there was no significance (P=0.456). GCF levels of IL-1β in DM group and control group were (12.91±1.95) μg/L and (17.68±3.07) μg/L, without significant difference (P=0.185). CONCLUSION Periodontitis was not observed in adolescents with DM at an early stage. However, the rising levels of periodontal indices and CRP in GCF, might indicate that adolescents with DM have a higher risk of developing periodontal diseases in the future.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the sensitivity and specificity of commercial nonstructural protein 1 (NS1) testing kits for Dengue fever diagnose, and provide the evidence for diagnostic criteria revision. Methods: 300 PCR or virus isolation positive blood samples for dengue virus were collected from sentinel hospitals for dengue surveillance in Guangzhou, Dongguang and Zhongshang from May 2015 to Nov. 2016. At the same time, 308 PCR negative samples for Dengue virus were collected as control group. The information of the sample was collected using questionnaires. These samples were tested using imported and domestic ELISA and the colloidal gold-labeled kits that were widely used for detecting dengue NS1. Sensitivity, specificity and coincidence were calculated and analyzed, and Z hongshan's result was regarded as the reslut of the third part. Results: The positive group includes 133 males and 167 females, average ages are 47.2±13.3, 179, 110 and 11 of them is Dengue Ⅰ, Ⅱ and Ⅲ respectively. The negative group includes 154 males and 154 females, average ages are (40.1±11.6) years old. The sensitivity of domestic ELISA Kits (94.5%) is less than imported (99.5%), and the result has statistical significance (χ(2)=8.59, P=0.030), the specificity is 99.7% and 97.7% respectively; The sensitivity of imported and domestic the colloidal gold-labeled Kits is 97.5% and 96.5% respectively, both of specificities are 100%. The sensitivity and specificity of Dengue Ⅰ for NS1 test are more than 97.0%. The sensitivity of domestic ELISA and gold-labeled Kits is 90.0% and 95.0%, and the specificity is 96.8% and 100% respectively for Dengue Ⅱ test. The sensitivity of imported ELISA and gold-labeled Kits is 100% and 98.0%, and the specificity is 99.4% and 100% respectively for Dengue Ⅱ test. The result of the third party show the sensitivity and specificity of domestic ELISA and gold-labeled Kits are 90.0% and 98.0%, the differences has statistical significance (χ(2)=5.67, P=0.020). Conclusion: NS1 testing can be used as early dengue fever diagnose for higher sensitivity and specificity.

However, the association between the infection of HPV and the recurrence or malignancy of SNIP remains controversial. Abstract
Objective: To explore the efficacy and safety of uterine lower posterior wall breakwater-like suture technique in controlling the intraoperative bleeding of placenta previa. Methods: From June 2016 to June 2017, 47 patients were diagnosed placenta previa in Union Hospital, Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Posterior wall breakwater-like suture technique was used preferentially, as for cases with poor myometrium layer, lower anterior wall stitch suture was used at the same time. Bilateral descending branches of uterine artery ligation and Cook balloon compression of uterine lower segment was conducted when necessary. The clinic data of the 47 cases were analyzed. Results: Thirty cases (63.8, 30/47) were diagnosed placenta inccreta or percreta by ultrasound or MRI preoperatively. Senventeen cases were diagnosed as placenta accreta (36.2%, 17/47) . Thirty-four cases had the previous history of cesarean section. The average cervical canal length of 47 patients was (2.8±0.9) cm. There were 19 cases (40.4%,19/47) with 1 time posterior wall breakwater-like sutured and 16 cases (34.0%,16/47) with 2 or 3 times posterior wall breakwater-like sutured; 12 cases (25.5%,12/47) were treated with anterior wall stitch suture simultaneously.Ten cases (21.3%, 10/47) underwent uterine artery ligation, 17 cases (36.2%, 17/47) underwent COOK balloon compression on the staxis surface of lower segment. None of them had postpartum hemorrhage or performed internal iliac artery embolization. The median blood loss in the operation was 700 ml, the percentiles 25 was 500 ml, and the percentiles 75 was 1 200 ml. The blood loss ≥1 000 ml in 18 (38.3%, 18/47) patients,and the most serious one was 2 500 ml. The median blood transfusion volume (including allogenetic transfusion and autotransfusion) was 450 ml, the percentiles 25 was 228 ml, and the percentiles 75 was 675 ml. The average vaginal bleeding volume was (150±63) ml first day after operation. The mean hospitalization time was (4.7±1.0) days. The mean gestational weeks of pregnancy termination was (36.1±1.5) weeks, and the mean birth weight of newborns was (2 817±492) g. Apgar score:1-minute 7.8±1.1, 5-minute 8.9±0.8. No neonatal death, 16 cases were transferred to neonatal ICU (34.0%, 16/47) mainly for premature delivery and low birth weight. No complication was found in 6 months post-operation. Conclusions: Uterine posterior wall breakwater-like suture technique is a simple, safe and effective way in controlling intraoperative bleeding of placental previa.Lower anterior wall stitch suture could effectively stop bleeding and restore the normal uterine shape. Combined application of various methods could significantly reduce the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage and hysterectomy, and improve maternal and fetal prognosis.

Abstract
目的 探索预测骨髓增生异常综合征(MDS)及相关肿瘤地西他滨治疗反应的临床及分子学指标。 方法 回顾性分析109例接受地西他滨治疗的MDS及相关肿瘤患者临床资料,采用二代测序检测MDS常见突变基因的突变情况,分析患者临床特征及基因突变与地西他滨临床反应的关系。 结果 地西他滨中位疗程数为4(2~11)个,共74例(67.9%)患者获得治疗反应,其中30例(27.5%)获得完全缓解(CR);35例(32.1%)患者无反应。单因素分析结果显示,国际预后积分系统(IPSS)中危2+高危、复杂核型、单体核型、7号染色体异常及1个疗程后PLT倍增的患者可获得更高的CR率。66.7%(14/21)的复杂核型患者、58.8%(10/17)的单体核型患者及66.7%(10/15)的TP53基因突变患者获得CR;TP53基因突变常合并复杂核型及单体核型;多因素分析显示TP53突变、1个疗程后PLT倍增及复杂核型是预测地西他滨治疗获得CR的独立预后因素,其中TP53突变是最强的预测因子(OR=4.39,95%CI 1.20~16.06,P=0.026)。 结论 TP53基因突变、1个疗程后PLT倍增及复杂核型可预测地西他滨完全缓解。

Abstract
1. This experiment investigated the anti-apoptosis effects and the mechanism of aspirin action in the heat shock response of chicken myocardial cells in vivo, via changes in the heat stress (HS) protein Hsp90 and the rate of apoptosis. Broiler chickens were administered aspirin (1 mg/kg body weight) 2 h before exposure to HS, and then exposed to 40 ± 1°C for 0, 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 10, 15 and 24 h. 2. The induction and consumption of the HS factor heat shock factor (HSF)-1, and reductions of HSF-2 and HSF-3 induced by HS led to a delay in Hsp90 expression. HSF-1, 2 and 3 regulation of hsp90 expression in turn inhibited the synthesis and activation of protein kinase β (Akt), which resulted in a significant increase in caspase-3 at 2 and 10 h, caspase-9 from 1 to 7 h (except at 5 h), and the heat-stressed apoptosis of the myocardial cells. 3. Administration of aspirin changed the expression patterns of HSF-1, 2 and 3 such that the expression of Hsp90 protein was significantly upregulated (by 2.3-4.1 times compared with that of the non-treated cells). The resultant increase in Akt expression and activation, compared with the HS group, inhibited caspase-3 and caspase-9 activities and reduced the myocardial cells apoptosis rate (by 2.14-2.56 times). 4. Aspirin administration could inhibit heat-stressed apoptosis of myocardial cells in vivo and may be closely associated with its promotion of HS response of chicken hearts, especially Hsp90 expression.
