Abstract
OBJECTIVE We conducted a meta-analysis to assess the predictive value of CD276 expression in the clinicopathological features and prognosis of head and neck cancer. METHODS Pubmed, Embase, Cochrane library, Web of science, CNKI and Wanfang databases were searched for studies focused on the role of CD276 expression in the clinicopathological features and prognosis of head and neck cancer, published up to December 2022. STATA 14.0 were used to perform the meta-analysis. RESULTS A total of 8 eligible studies involving 1417 patients with head and neck cancer were included in this meta-analysis. The results showed that in terms of clinicopathological features, CD276 expression was related to gender [OR = 1.35, 95%CI = 1.01-1.82, P = 0.04], lymph node status [OR = 3.43, 95%CI = 1.96-5.98, P < 0.001] and TNM stage [OR = 2.54, 95%CI = 1.72-3.74, P < 0.001] of head and neck cancer patients, but not age [OR = 0.76, 95%CI = 0.52-1.11, P = 0.15] and tumor differentiation [OR = 1.39, 95%CI = 0.92-2.13, P = 0.12] . In terms of prognosis, CD276 expression is significantly associated with shorter overall survival [HR = 2.08, 95%CI = 1.22-3.56, P = 0.01] in head and neck cancer patients. CONCLUSION CD276 expression was significantly correlated with gender, lymph node status, TNM stage and poor prognosis in head and neck cancer patients and may be a new target for immunotherapy and a biomarker for predicting poor prognosis in head and neck cancer.

Abstract
Various additives have been introduced to assist in film preparation and defect passivation. Herein, fluoroiodobenzene (FIB) molecules with different numbers of F atoms were incorporated into perovskite films to optimize the film quality as well as passivate defects. Based on the calculation and experimental results, it was found that the FIB additives were inclined to exist at the bottom of the film because of the strong affinity between F atoms stemming from FIB molecules and O atoms stemming from TiO2, especially for molecules with more F atoms. By optimization of the FIB molecule, the perovskite film crystallinity was significantly improved, the carrier lifetimes were prolonged, and the charge extraction ability was also enhanced. The device with FIB with one F atom achieved a photoelectrical conversion efficiency as high as 22.89% with a Voc of 1.118 V, fill factor (FF) of 80.44%, and Jsc of 25.45 mA cm-2, which was much higher than that of the control device with an efficiency of 20.87%. Furthermore, FIB molecules with three and five F atoms also achieved higher efficiency than that of the control device. The devices with FIB molecules showed better stability than the devices without additives. The unencapsulated devices with FIB additives held 90% of their original efficiencies in an ambient environment with a temperature of 15-25 °C and a relative humidity of 20-30%, while the control device dropped to 76% after more than 1000 h.

Abstract
Background Brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) is known to prevent methamphetamine (METH)-induced neurotoxicity and plays a role in various stages of METH addiction. However, there is a lack of research with longitudinal design on changes in plasma BDNF levels in active METH-dependent individuals. Aims The aim of the study was to investigate changes in BDNF levels during METH self-administration in monkeys. Methods This study measured plasma BDNF levels in three male rhesus monkeys with continuous METH exposure and four male control rhesus monkeys without METH exposure. Changes in plasma BDNF levels were then assessed longitudinally during 40 sessions of METH self-administration in the three monkeys. Results Repeated METH exposure decreased plasma BDNF levels. Additionally, plasma BDNF decreased with long-term rather than short-term accumulation of METH during METH self-administration. Conclusions These findings may indicate that the changes in peripheral BDNF may reflect the quantity of accumulative METH intake during a frequent drug use period.

Abstract
Internet Gaming Disorder (IGD), as one of worldwide mental health issues, leads to negative effects on physical and mental health and has attracted public attention. Most studies on IGD are based on screening scales and subjective judgments of doctors, without objective quantitative assessment. However, public understanding of internet gaming disorder lacks objectivity. Therefore, the researches on internet gaming disorder still have many limitations. In this paper, a stop-signal task (SST) was designed to assess inhibitory control in patients with IGD based on prefrontal functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS). According to the scale, the subjects were divided into health and gaming disorder. A total of 40 subjects (24 internet gaming disorders; 16 healthy controls) signals were used for deep learning-based classification. The seven algorithms used for classification and comparison were deep learning algorithms (DL) and machine learning algorithms (ML), with four and three algorithms in each category, respectively. After applying hold-out method, the performance of the model was verified by accuracy. DL models outperformed traditional ML algorithms. Furthermore, the classification accuracy of the two-dimensional convolution neural network (2D-CNN) was 87.5% among all models. This was the highest accuracy out of all models that were tested. The 2D-CNN was able to outperform the other models due to its ability to learn complex patterns in data. This makes it well-suited for image classification tasks. The findings suggested that a 2D-CNN model is an effective approach for predicting internet gaming disorder. The results show that this is a reliable method with high accuracy to identify patients with IGD and demonstrate that the use of fNIRS to facilitate the development of IGD diagnosis has great potential.

Abstract
Breast cancer remains a significant public health issue, being a leading cause of cancer-related mortality among women globally. Timely diagnosis and efficient treatment are crucial for enhancing patient outcomes, reducing healthcare burdens and advancing community health. This systematic review, following the PRISMA guidelines, aims to comprehensively synthesize the recent advancements in computer-aided diagnosis and treatment for breast cancer. The study covers the latest developments in image analysis and processing, machine learning and deep learning algorithms, multimodal fusion techniques and radiation therapy planning and simulation. The results of the review suggest that machine learning, augmented and virtual reality and data mining are the three major research hotspots in breast cancer management. Moreover, this paper discusses the challenges and opportunities for future research in this field. The conclusion highlights the importance of computer-aided techniques in the management of breast cancer and summarizes the key findings of the review.

Abstract
The main goal of this research is to develop a highly advanced anthropomorphic control system utilizing multiple sensor technologies to achieve precise control of a robotic arm. Combining Kinect and IMU sensors, together with a data glove, we aim to create a multimodal sensor system for capturing rich information of human upper body movements. Specifically, the four angles of upper limb joints are collected using the Kinect sensor and IMU sensor. In order to improve the accuracy and stability of motion tracking, we use the Kalman filter method to fuse the Kinect and IMU data. In addition, we introduce data glove technology to collect the angle information of the wrist and fingers in seven different directions. The integration and fusion of multiple sensors provides us with full control over the robotic arm, giving it flexibility with 11 degrees of freedom. We successfully achieved a variety of anthropomorphic movements, including shoulder flexion, abduction, rotation, elbow flexion, and fine movements of the wrist and fingers. Most importantly, our experimental results demonstrate that the anthropomorphic control system we developed is highly accurate, real-time, and operable. In summary, the contribution of this study lies in the creation of a multimodal sensor system capable of capturing and precisely controlling human upper limb movements, which provides a solid foundation for the future development of anthropomorphic control technologies. This technology has a wide range of application prospects and can be used for rehabilitation in the medical field, robot collaboration in industrial automation, and immersive experience in virtual reality environments.

Abstract
Vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs) represent an attractive light source to integrate with OAM structures to realize chip-scale vortex lasers. Although pioneering endeavors of VCSEL-based vortex lasers have been reported, they cannot achieve large topological charges (less than l = 5) due to the insufficient space-bandwidth product (SBP) caused by the inherent limited device size. Here, by integrating a nanoprinted OAM phase structure on the VCSELs, we demonstrate a vortex microlaser with a low threshold and simple structure. A monolithic microlaser array with addressable control of vortex beams with different topological charges (l = 1 to l = 5) was achieved. Nanoprinting offers high degrees of freedom for the manipulation of spatial structures. To address the challenge of insufficient SBP, two-layer cascaded spiral phase plates were designed. Thereby, a vortex beam with l = 15 and mode purity of 83.7% was obtained. Our work paves the way for future chip-scale OAM-based information multiplexing with more channels.

Abstract
Daytime HONO photolysis is an important source of atmospheric hydroxyl radicals (OH). Knowledge of HONO formation chemistry under typical haze conditions, however, is still limited. In the Multiphase chemistry experiment in Fogs and Aerosols in the North China Plain in 2018, we investigated the wintertime HONO formation and its atmospheric implications at a rural site Gucheng. Three different episodes based on atmospheric aerosol loading levels were classified: clean periods (CPs), moderately polluted periods (MPPs) and severely polluted periods (SPPs). Correlation analysis revealed that HONO formation via heterogeneous conversion of NO2 was more efficient on aerosol surfaces than on ground, highlighting the important role of aerosols in promoting HONO formation. Daytime HONO budget analysis indicated a large missing source (with an average production rate of 0.66 ± 0.26, 0.97 ± 0.47 and 1.45 ± 0.55 ppbV/hr for CPs, MPPs and SPPs, respectively), which strongly correlated with photo-enhanced reactions (NO2 heterogeneous reaction and particulate nitrate photolysis). Average OH formation derived from HONO photolysis reached up to (0.92 ± 0.71), (1.75 ± 1.26) and (1.82 ± 1.47) ppbV/hr in CPs, MPPs and SPPs respectively, much higher than that from O3 photolysis (i.e., (0.004 ± 0.004), (0.006 ± 0.007) and (0.0035 ± 0.0034) ppbV/hr). Such high OH production rates could markedly regulate the atmospheric oxidation capacity and hence promote the formation of secondary aerosols and pollutants.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The hypothalamic paraventricular nucleus (PVN) acts as a critical integrating center of endocrine/autonomic responses and regulates visceral functional activities. However, its involvement in electroacupuncture (EA) treatment of chronic glomerulonephritis (CGN) remains unclear. METHODS Over four experiments, we randomized 111 rats into: control, untreated model (CGN) or EA-treated model (CGN + EA) groups, a model group receiving EA after PVN damage (CGN + EA + Lesion) or untreated model groups injected with adeno-associated viral vectors encoding human M4 muscarinic receptor (CGN + hM4D) or enhanced green fluorescent protein (CGN + EGFP). CGN was modeled by intraperitoneal injection of bovine serum albumin for 2 weeks. Rats in the CGN + EA and CGN + EA + Lesion groups received EA at bilateral ST36 and KI3 for 14 days. Urine/serum samples were collected to evaluate inflammatory factors and changes in renal function. RESULTS EA inhibited the release of interleukin (IL)-6, tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α and IL-1β, and decreased urine protein (PRO), creatinine (Cre) and blood urea nitrogen (BUN) levels. PVN damage influenced the effect of EA on the levels of these parameters. EA appeared to inhibit the firing frequency and spectral energy of PVN neurons. In the viral vector experiment, levels of PRO, Cre, IL-6, IL-1β and TNF-α in the CGN group were increased in CGN versus control groups (p < 0.0001), decreased in CGN + hM4D versus CGN groups (p < 0.05) and did not differ between CGN + EGFP and control groups (p > 0.05). CONCLUSION Our findings indicate that EA at ST36 and KI3 improves CGN in this rat model by weakening the activity of PVN neurons, alleviating impairment of renal function impairment and restricting the release of inflammatory factors.

Abstract
Increasing evidence implicates the tumor microbiota as a factor that can influence cancer progression. In patients with colorectal cancer (CRC), we found that pre-resection antibiotics targeting anaerobic bacteria substantially improved disease-free survival by 25.5%. For mouse studies, we designed an antibiotic silver-tinidazole complex encapsulated in liposomes (LipoAgTNZ) to eliminate tumor-associated bacteria in the primary tumor and liver metastases without causing gut microbiome dysbiosis. Mouse CRC models colonized by tumor-promoting bacteria (Fusobacterium nucleatum spp.) or probiotics (Escherichia coli Nissle spp.) responded to LipoAgTNZ therapy, which enabled more than 70% long-term survival in two F. nucleatum-infected CRC models. The antibiotic treatment generated microbial neoantigens that elicited anti-tumor CD8+ T cells. Heterologous and homologous bacterial epitopes contributed to the immunogenicity, priming T cells to recognize both infected and uninfected tumors. Our strategy targets tumor-associated bacteria to elicit anti-tumoral immunity, paving the way for microbiome-immunotherapy interventions.

Abstract
Furan ring opening reactions are essential in organic synthesis, enabling the incorporation of diverse functional groups and the construction of complex molecular structures. A highly efficient and practical method for synthesizing 2,5-dicarbonyl-3-ene-phosphates from readily available biomass furan and dialkyl phosphonates is reported. The reaction, catalyzed by FeCl3, demonstrated wide substrate scope and high synthetic efficiency. Gram-scale synthesis was achieved, and a one-pot reaction provided a quick access route to the desired compounds. Additionally, a successful Diels-Alder reaction highlighted the versatility of the methodology.

Abstract
Osteosarcoma is a malignant bone tumor that is prone to metastasize early and primarily affects children and adolescents. Cell migration-inducing protein (CEMIP) plays a crucial role in the progression and malignancy of various tumor diseases, including osteosarcoma. Chitosan oligosaccharide (COS), an oligomer isolated from chitin, has been found to have significant anti-tumor activity in various cancers. This study investigates the effects of COS on CEMIP expression in osteosarcoma and explores the underlying mechanism. In present study, in vitro experiments were conducted to confirm the inhibitory activity of COS on human osteosarcoma cells. Our results demonstrate that COS possesses inhibitory effects against human osteosarcoma cells and significantly suppresses CEMIP expression in vitro. Next, we studied the inhibition of the expression of CEMIP by COS and then performed bioinformatics analysis to explore the potential inhibitory mechanism of COS against signaling pathways involved in regulating CEMIP expression. Bioinformatics analysis predicted a close association between the PI3K signaling pathway and CEMIP expression and that the inhibitory effect of COS on CEMIP expression may be related to PI3K signaling pathway regulation. The results of this study show that COS treatment significantly inhibits CEMIP expression and the PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway, as observed both in vitro and in vivo. This study demonstrates that COS could inhibit the expression of CEMIP, which is closely related to osteosarcoma malignancy. This inhibitory effect may be attributed to the inhibition of the PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway in vitro and in vivo.

Abstract
Recently, progression-free survival at 24 months (PFS24) was defined as clinically relevant for patients with extranodal NK/T cell lymphoma. Herein, the clinical data from two independent random cohorts (696 patients each in the primary and validation datasets) were used to develop and validate a risk index for PFS24 (PFS24-RI), and evaluate its ability to predict early progression. Patients achieving PFS24 had a 5-year overall survival (OS) of 95.8%, whereas OS was only 21.2% in those failing PFS24 (P<0.001). PFS24 was an important predictor of subsequent OS, independent of risk stratification. The proportion of patients achieving PFS24 and 5-year OS rates correlated linearly among risk-stratified groups. Based on multivariate analysis of the primary dataset, the PFS24-RI included five risk factors: stage II or III/IV, elevated lactate dehydrogenase, Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group score ≥2, primary tumor invasion, and extra-upper aerodigestive tract. PFS24-RI stratified the patients into low-risk (0), intermediate-risk (1-2), high-risk (≥3) groups with different prognoses. Harrell's C-index of PFS24-RI for PFS24 prediction was 0.667 in the validation dataset, indicating a good discriminative ability. PFS24-RI calibration indicated that the actual observed and predicted probability of failing PFS24 agreed well. PFS24-RI provided the probability of achieving PFS24 at an individual patient level.

Abstract
Survival from extranodal nasal-type NK/T-cell lymphoma (ENKTCL) has substantially improved over the last decade. However, there is little consensus as to whether a population of patients with ENKTCL can be considered "cured" of the disease. We aimed to evaluate the statistical "cure" of ENKTCL in the modern treatment era. This retrospective multicentric study reviewed the clinical data of 1,955 patients with ENKTCL treated with non-anthracycline-based chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy in the China Lymphoma Collaborative Group multicenter database between 2008 and 2016. A non-mixture cure model with incorporation of background mortality was fitted to estimate cure fractions, median survival times and cure time points. The relative survival curves attained plateau for the entire cohort and most subsets, indicating that the notion of cure was robust. The overall cure fraction was 71.9%. The median survival was 1.1 years in uncured patients. The cure time was 4.5 years, indicating that beyond this time, mortality in ENKTCL patients was statistically equivalent to that in the general population. Cure probability was associated with B symptoms, stage, performance status, lactate dehydrogenase, primary tumor invasion, and primary upper aerodigestive tract site. Elderly patients (>60 years) had a similar cure fraction to that of younger patients. The 5-year overall survival rate correlated well with the cure fraction across risk-stratified groups. Thus, statistical cure is possible in ENKTCL patients receiving current treatment strategies. Overall probability of cure is favorable, though it is affected by the presence of risk factors. These findings have a high potential impact on clinical practice and patients' perspective.

Abstract
Acidity is one central parameter in atmospheric multiphase reactions, influencing aerosol formation and its effects on climate, health, and ecosystems. Weak acids and bases, mainly CO2, NH3, and organic acids, are long considered to play a role in regulating atmospheric acidity. However, unlike strong acids and bases, their importance and influencing mechanisms in a given aerosol or cloud droplet system remain to be clarified. Here, we investigate this issue with new insights provided by recent advances in the field, in particular, the multiphase buffer theory. We show that, in general, aerosol acidity is primarily buffered by NH3, with a negligible contribution from CO2 and a potential contribution from organic acids under certain conditions. For fogs, clouds, and rains, CO2, organic acids, and NH3 may all provide certain buffering under higher pH levels (pH > ∼4). Despite the 104to 107 lower abundance of NH3 and organic weak acids, their buffering effect can still be comparable to that of CO2. This is because the cloud pH is at the very far end of the CO2 multiphase buffering range. This Perspective highlights the need for more comprehensive field observations under different conditions and further studies in the interactions among organic acids, acidity, and cloud chemistry.

Abstract
As the fourth paradigm of materials research and development, the materials genome paradigm can significantly improve the efficiency of research and development for austenitic stainless steel. In this study, by collecting experimental data of austenitic stainless steel, the chemical composition of austenitic stainless steel is optimized by machine learning and a genetic algorithm, so that the production cost is reduced, and the research and development of new steel grades is accelerated without reducing the mechanical properties. Specifically, four machine learning prediction models were established for different mechanical properties, with the gradient boosting regression (gbr) algorithm demonstrating superior prediction accuracy compared to other commonly used machine learning algorithms. Bayesian optimization was then employed to optimize the hyperparameters in the gbr algorithm, resulting in the identification of the optimal combination of hyperparameters. The mechanical properties prediction model established at this stage had good prediction accuracy on the test set (yield strength: R2 = 0.88, MAE = 4.89 MPa; ultimate tensile strength: R2 = 0.99, MAE = 2.65 MPa; elongation: R2 = 0.84, MAE = 1.42%; reduction in area: R2 = 0.88, MAE = 1.39%). Moreover, feature importance and Shapley Additive Explanation (SHAP) values were utilized to analyze the interpretability of the performance prediction models and to assess how the features influence the overall performance. Finally, the NSGA-III algorithm was used to simultaneously maximize the mechanical property prediction models within the search space, thereby obtaining the corresponding non-dominated solution set of chemical composition and achieving the optimization of austenitic stainless-steel compositions.

Abstract
The paper summarizes the definition, location and main indication of qicimai points recorded in Huangdi Neijing (Yellow Emperor 's Inner Classic). It is found that qicimai points are the "upward moving points" in reference to the meridian distribution rule of "rooting, running, infusing and moving"; and corresponding to the sites of "running outwards and inwards" of the meridians' "separating, meeting and running outwards and inwards". It also includes the infusing points for the sea of qi and marrow. The new idea, "selecting qicimai points for the treatment of qi obstruction in the neck gate", is proposed. Based on the systematic application of the acupoints on the nape region, it is anticipated that a new approach will be provided to the treatment of the diseases in the neck, shoulder, head, face, the five sensory organs, mental disorders and zangfu qi dysfunction.

Abstract
Ultrasonic non-destructive evaluation, which has been used widely, can detect and size critical flaws in structures. Advances in sound field calculations can further improve its effectiveness. Two calculation methods were used to characterize the relevant sound fields of an ultrasonic transducer and the results were applied to construct and evaluate Distance-Gain-Size (DGS) diagrams, which are useful in flaw sizing. Two published DGS diagrams were found to be deficient because the backward diffraction path was overly simplified and the third one included an arbitrary procedure. Newly constructed DGS diagrams exhibited transducer size dependence, revealing another deficiency in the existing DGS diagrams. However, the extent of the present calculations must be expanded to provide a catalog of DGS diagrams to cover a wide range of practical needs. Details of the new construction method are presented, incorporating two-way diffraction procedures.

Abstract
MINERvA has measured the ν_{μ}-induced coherent π^{+} cross section simultaneously in hydrocarbon (CH), graphite (C), iron (Fe), and lead (Pb) targets using neutrinos from 2 to 20 GeV. The measurements exceed the predictions of the Rein-Sehgal and Berger-Sehgal PCAC based models at multi-GeV ν_{μ} energies and at produced π^{+} energies and angles, E_{π}>1 GeV and θ_{π}<10°. Measurements of the cross-section ratios of Fe and Pb relative to CH reveal the effective A scaling to increase from an approximate A^{1/3} scaling at few GeV to an A^{2/3} scaling for E_{ν}>10 GeV.

Abstract
Oral decoction is widely applied in traditional Chinese medicines. The polysaccharides of decoction promote the exposure of small molecules and increase their bioavailability. This study mainly compared the component and activities of total ginsenosides (TGS) and ginseng extract (GE) on immunosuppressed mice induced by cyclophosphamide. Thirty-two mice were randomly divided into control, model, TGS, and GE groups. The mice were orally administered for 28 days and then injected with cyclophosphamide on the last four days. The results of component analysis showed the total content of 12 ginsenosides in TGS (67.21%) was higher than GE (2.04%); the total content of 17 amino acids in TGS (1.41%) was lower than GE (5.36%); the total content of 10 monosaccharides was similar in TGS (74.12%) and GE (76.36%). The animal results showed that both TGS and GE protected the hematopoietic function of bone marrow by inhibiting cell apoptosis, and recovering the normal cell cycle of BM; maintained the dynamic balance between the Th1 and Th2 cells; also protected the spleen, thymus, and liver. Meanwhile, TGS and GE protected the intestinal bacteria of immunosuppressed mice by increasing the abundance of lactobacillus and decreasing the abundance of the odoribacter and clostridia_UCG-014. The prevention effect of GE was superior to TGS in some parameters. In conclusion, TGS and GE protected the immune function of immunosuppressed mice induced by cyclophosphamide. Meanwhile, GE showed higher bioavailability and bioactivity compared with TGS, because the synergistic effect of polysaccharides and ginsenosides plays an important role in protecting the immune function.

Abstract
Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a chronic recurrent gastrointestinal disease that seriously endangers human and animal health. Although the etiology of IBD is complex and the pathogenesis is not well understood, studies have found that genetic predisposition, diet and intestinal flora disorders are the main risk factors for IBD. The potential biological mechanism of total ginsenosides (TGGR) in the treatment of IBD remains to be elucidated. Surgery is still the main strategy for the treatment of IBD, due to the relatively high side effects of related drugs and the easy development of drug resistance. The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the efficacy of TGGR and explore the effect of TGGR on the intestinal inflammation induced by sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) in Drosophila and to initially explain the improvement effect and mechanism of TGGR on Drosophila enteritis by analyzing the levels of Drosophila-related proteins. During the experiment, the survival rate, climb index and abdominal characteristics of the Drosophila was recorded. Intestinal samples of Drosophila were collected for analysis of intestinal melanoma. The oxidative stress related indexes of catalase, superoxide dismutase and malondialdehyde were determined by spectrophotometry. Western blotting detected the expression of signal pathway-related factors. The effects of TGGR on growth indices, tissue indices, biochemical indices, signal pathway transduction and related mechanisms of SDS-induced Drosophila enteritis model were studied. The results showed that TGGR could repair SDS-induced enteritis of Drosophila through MAPK signaling pathway, improve survival rate and climbing ability and repair intestinal damage and oxidative stress damage. The results suggested that TGGR has potential application value in the treatment of IBD and its mechanism is related to the downregulation of phosphorylated (p)-JNK/p-ERK levels, which provides a basis for drug research in the treatment of IBD.
