Abstract
Objective: The preseason prophylactic treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis (AR) caused by pollens could alleviate AR symptoms during the pollen season. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of prophylaxis usage of suplatast tosilate on the life quality of AR patients in the pollen season, and investigate the potential mechanism of action through transcriptomic analysis. Methods: This is a randomized controlled study. AR patients allergic to weed pollens were recruited from Allergy Clinic of Peking Union Medical College Hospital from January 2020 to June 2020, and divided into prophylactic group who started to take suplatast tosilate as prophylaxis 2 weeks before the spread of weed pollens[n=10, 4 men and 6 women with age range of (34±6) years old] and control group who did not use any prophylactic treatment[n=24, 12 men and 12 women with age range of (33±9) years old]. The differences of age (t=0.381, P=0.706) and gender (χ²=0.595, P=0.715) distribution between the patients of two groups were not statistically significant. All the subjects filled in the rhinoconjunctivitis quality of life questionnaire (RQLQ) while onset of AR symptoms, and peripheral blood was drawn for transcriptomic analysis 1 month before and during the pollen season. Differences between groups were statistically analyzed through chi-square test and t test. Results: There was no significant difference in visual analogue scale of rhinitis symptom in the last pollen season between prophylactic group and control group[ 8.0 (6.4, 9.3) vs 7.3 (6.1, 8.0), Z=1.180, P=0.254]. The RQLQ score of prophylactic group was superior to that of control group in the weed pollen season (2.9±0.9 vs 3.7±0.9, t=-2.438, P=0.026). 210 differentially expressed genes of fold change ≥2 were identified, with 147 genes upregulated and 63 genes downregulated in the prophylactic group compared to the control group. Gene Ontology annotation showed that IL-12 and IL-23 related pathways were downregulated in prophylactic group (P=0.006 48). Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) verification of differentially expressed genes indicated that the relative expression level of HLA-G in prophylactic group was significantly lower than that in control group (0.23±0.19 vs 1.00±0.49,t=4.016, P=0.006). Conclusion: The prophylactic treatment of suplatast tosilate showed some benefit to the life quality of seasonal AR patients during the pollen season, and the potential mechanism might be related with the downregulation of IL-12 and IL-23 pathways and decreased expression of HLA-G.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate appropriate protocol of treatment modulation for seasonal allergic rhinitis (AR) patients, in order to promote the implementation of personalized medicine. Methods: Total of 124 AR patients allergic to cypress pollens were recruited from January to February 2020 in Department of Allergy in Peking Union Medical College Hospital, 43 males and 81 females with an average age of (41±9) years. The patients were divided into two groups with block randomization method. In the first group, treatment was modulated every two days according to the average daily rhinoconjunctivitis symptom score of the last two days (short-term symptom-score group); while in the second group, therapy regimen was adjusted every week based on the Allergic Rhinitis Control Test (ARCT) score of the last week (long-term ARCT group). The treatment level was up-regulated when the cypress pollen count increased and stayed at a high level (step-up pharmacotherapy stage); and treatment was down-regulated while the pollen count decreased (step-down pharmacotherapy stage). Daily symptom scores, medicine scores, and ARCT scores of the two groups were recorded and compared. Results: During the whole cypress pollen season, the daily rhinoconjunctivitis symptom score of short-term symptom-score group was significantly lower than that in long-term ARCT group(2.4±1.0 vs 2.7±1.0, P<0.01), and the difference between the two groups was more pronounced in the step-up pharmacotherapy stage than that in the step-down pharmacotherapy stage, while there was no statistical difference between the daily medicine scores of the two groups (P>0.05). During the pollen rising period, the ARCT score of short-term symptom-score group was significantly better than that of long-term ARCT group (21(19, 22) vs 20 (17, 21), P=0.049); while in the pollen peak period and decreasing period, the ARCT scores of the two groups showed no statistical difference (P>0.05). The proportion of incompliance with doctor's advice was higher in long-term ARCT group compared to that in short-term symptom-score group (30.1% vs 6.7%, P<0.001). Conclusion: The protocol of treatment modulation for seasonal AR patients allergic to pollens should be developed flexibly according to the variation trend of pollen allergen exposure, so as to implement the idea of personalized medicine.

Abstract
AIM To retrospectively evaluate the interobserver variability of intensive care unit (ICU) practitioners and radiologists who used the M-BLUE (modified bedside lung ultrasound in emergency) protocol to assess coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19) patients, and to determine the correlation between total M-BLUE protocol score and three different scoring systems reflecting disease severity. MATERIALS AND METHODS Institutional review board approval was obtained and informed consent was not required. Ninety-six lung ultrasonography (LUS) examinations were performed using the M-BLUE protocol in 79 consecutive COVID-19 patients. Two ICU practitioners and three radiologists reviewed video clips of the LUS of eight different regions in each lung retrospectively. Each observer, who was blind to the patient information, described each clip with M-BLUE terminology and assigned a corresponding score. Interobserver variability was assessed using intraclass correlation coefficient. Spearman's correlation coefficient analysis (R-value) was used to assess the correlation between the total score of the eight video clips and disease severity. RESULTS For different LUS signs, fair to good agreement was obtained (ICC = 0.601, 0.339, 0.334, and 0.557 for 0-3 points respectively). The overall interobserver variability was good for both the five different readers and consensus opinions (ICC = 0.618 and 0.607, respectively). There were good correlations between total LUS score and scores from three systems reflecting disease severity (R=0.394-0.660, p<0.01). CONCLUSION In conclusion, interobserver agreement for different signs and total scores in LUS is good and justifies its use in patients with COVID-19. The total scores of LUS are useful to indicate disease severity.

Abstract
Background We aimed to examine whether body mass index (BMI) had an impact on clinical outcomes of laparoscopic radical cystectomy with intracorporeal urinary diversion. Furthermore, we analyzed the optimization of enhanced recovery protocols (ERPs) on the impact of BMI on clinical outcomes. Methods By searching our database, data of 83 consecutive patients were retrospectively collected, including 37 patients with a BMI <24 kg/m2 (group A) and 46 patients with a BMI ≥24 kg/m2 (group B). The baseline and peri-operative variables of the two groups were compared. Subgroup analysis was conducted for ERPs (11 patients in group A1, 18 patients in group B1) and conventional recovery protocols (CRPs; 26 patients in group A2, 28 patients in group B2). The primary outcomes were 30-day overall complication rate and ΔALBmin (reduction proportion of minimum albumin). The secondary outcomes were operative time and length of stay. Results The baseline variables were similar between the two groups (P>0.05). The 30-day overall complication rate, operative time, and length of stay were similar between the two groups (P>0.05). But post-operative nausea and vomiting (PONV) was higher in group A than in group B (32.4% vs. 8.7%, P=0.014). Group A was associated with lower serum albumin level pre-operatively and on post-operative days 1–3. ΔALBmin was higher in group A than in group B (33.08%±9.88% vs. 27.92%±8.52%, P<0.05). In the subgroup analysis, the CRPs group presented similar results, with group A2 showing higher PONV rate, lower albumin level pre- and post-operatively, and higher level of reduction proportion (P<0.05). For the ERPs group, the PONV rate, pre-operative albumin level, and reduction proportion were similar between group A1 and B1 (P>0.05). Multivariable analysis showed that PONV and CRPs were independently associated with ΔALBmin ≥34% (P<0.05). Conclusions BMI had no impact on the 30-day overall complication rate, operative time, and length of stay of patients who underwent laparoscopic radical cystectomy with intracorporeal urinary diversion. BMI <24 kg/m2 was associated with higher PONV rate and more albumin loss, both of which could be optimized by ERPs.

Abstract
Soybean mosaic virus (SMV) is the predominant viral pathogen that affects the yield and quality of soybean. The natural host range for SMV is very narrow, and generally limited to Leguminosae. However, we found that SMV can naturally infect Pinellia ternata and Atractylodes macrocephala. In order to clarify the molecular mechanisms underlying the crossfamily infection of SMV, we used double-stranded RNA extraction, rapid amplification of cDNA ends polymerase chain reaction and Gibson assembly techniques to carry out SMV full-length genome amplification from susceptible soybeans and constructed an infectious cDNA clone for SMV. The genome of the SMV Shanxi isolate (SMV-SX) consists of 9,587 nt and encodes a polyprotein consisting of 3,067 aa. SMV-SX and SMV-XFQ008 had the highest nucleotide and amino acid sequence identities of 97.03% and 98.50%, respectively. A phylogenetic tree indicated that SMV-SX and SMV-XFQ018 were clustered together, sharing the closest relationship. We then constructed a pSMV-SX infectious cDNA clone by Gibson assembly technology and used this clone to inoculate soybean and Ailanthus altissima; the symptoms of these hosts were similar to those caused by the virus isolated from natural infected plant tissue. This method of construction not only makes up for the time-consuming and laborious defect of traditional methods used to construct infectious cDNA clones, but also avoids the toxicity of the Potyvirus special sequence to Escherichia coli, thus providing a useful cloning strategy for the construction of infectious cDNA clones for other viruses and laying down a foundation for the further investigation of SMV cross-family infection mechanisms.

Abstract
Background The outbreak of the novel 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) was declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) on March 11, 2020. The diagnosis of COVID-19 is frequently based on a positive serological test. We noted the occurrence of false-positive results for COVID-19 in the colloidal gold-based immunochromatographic strip (ICS) assay in sera from patients with autoimmune diseases (ADs). This study aimed to evaluate the possible reasons for the false-positive results in two ICS assays (Wondfo ICS and Innovita ICS) and to investigate the effect of urea dissociation in reducing false-positive results. Methods The sera of 135 patients with ADs, 13 confirmed COVID-19 patients, 95 disease controls, and 120 healthy controls were tested for immunoglobin M (IgM) and IgG against severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) using Wondfo and Innovita ICS kits. The distributions of auto-antibodies in antibody-positive and antibody-negative groups were also compared, and bivariable logistic regression was used to assess auto-antibodies associated with false-positive results. A urea dissociation test of ICS was performed for the SARS-CoV-2 antibody-positive samples. Results Specificity of Wondfo ICS for the 95 disease controls was 94.74% compared to 98.95% and 96.84% for Innovita SARS-CoV-2 IgM and IgG, respectively. Specificity of Wondfo ICS for the 120 healthy controls was 97.5% compared to 100% and 99.17% for Innovita SARS-CoV-2 IgM and IgG, respectively. Specificity of Wondfo ICS for AD patients was 73.33% compared to 97.78% and 96.30% for Innovita SARS-CoV-2 IgM and IgG, respectively. Sensitivity was 74.07% for Wondfo compared to 70.37% for Innovita IgM and 66.67% for Innovita IgG. Using the Wondfo ICS, the percentage of elevated rheumatoid factor (RF) level (>20 IU/mL) was higher in the SARS-CoV-2 antibody-positive group compared with the antibody-negative group [27/36 (75.0%) vs. 34/99 (34.34%), P=0.001]. The elevated RF was associated with antibody positivity, with an odds ratio of 4.671 [95% confidence interval (CI), 1.88-11.69]. The specificity of the Wondfo ICS assay for the AD patients was increased from 73.33% to 94.07% after the urea dissociation assay. Conclusions An elevated serum RF level could lead to false-positive results when detecting SARS-CoV-2 antibodies using the Wondfo ICS kit, and the urea dissociation assay would be helpful in reducing the incidence of false-positive results.

Abstract
UNLABELLED By analyzing iron status of 14 ADHR patients, we found that iron deficiency was an important trigger of ADHR. Correcting iron deficiency significantly improved patients' symptoms. Meanwhile, patients' serum phosphate showed positive correlations with iron metabolism parameters and hemoglobin-related parameters, suggesting the necessity of monitoring and correcting the iron status in ADHR. INTRODUCTION Autosomal dominant hypophosphatemic rickets (ADHR) is unique for its incomplete penetrance, variety of disease onsets, and waxing and waning phenotypes. Iron deficiency is a trigger of ADHR. This study aimed to clarify the role of iron deficiency in ADHR. METHODS Data of clinical manifestations and laboratory examinations were collected from patients among eight kindreds with ADHR. Multiple regression and Pearson's correlation tests were performed to test the relationships of serum phosphate levels and other laboratory variables during the patients' follow-ups. RESULTS Among 23 ADHR patients with fibroblast growth factor 23 (FGF23) mutations, 14 patients presented with obvious symptoms. Ten patients had iron deficiency at the onset of ADHR, coinciding with menarche, menorrhagia, pregnancy, and chronic gastrointestinal bleeding. Two patients who did not have their iron status tested presented with symptoms after abortion and pregnancy in one patient each, which suggested that they also had iron deficiency at onset. Patients were treated with ferrous succinate tablets, vitamin C, and neutral phosphate and calcitriol. With correction of the iron status, the patients' symptoms showed notable improvement, with increased serum phosphate levels. Two patients' FGF23 levels also declined to the normal range. There were strong correlations between serum phosphate and serum iron levels (r = 0.7689, p < 0.0001), serum ferritin levels (r = 0.5312, p = 0.002), iron saturation (r = 0.7907, p < 0.0001), and transferrin saturation (r = 0.7875, p < 0.001). We also examined the relationships between serum phosphate levels and hemoglobin-related indices, which were significant (hemoglobin: r = 0.71, p < 0.0001; MCV: r = 0.7589, p < 0.0001; MCH: r = 0.8218, p < 0.0001; and MCHC: r = 0.7751, p < 0.0001). Longitudinal data of six patients' follow-up also showed synchronous changes in serum phosphate with serum iron levels. CONCLUSIONS Iron deficiency plays an important role in triggering ADHR. Monitoring and correcting the iron status are helpful for diagnosing and treating ADHR. Iron metabolism parameters and hemoglobin-related parameters are positively correlated with serum phosphate levels in patients with ADHR and iron deficiency, and these might serve as good indicators of prognosis of ADHR.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The adverse effects of particulate air pollution on heart rate variability (HRV) have been reported. However, it remains unclear whether they differ by the weight status as well as between wake and sleep. METHODS A repeated-measure study was conducted in 97 young adults in Beijing, China, and they were classified by body mass index (BMI) as normal-weight (BMI, 18.5-24.0 kg/m2) and obese (BMI ≥ 28.0 kg/m2) groups. Personal exposures to fine particulate matter (PM2.5) and black carbon (BC) were measured with portable exposure monitors, and the ambient PM2.5/BC concentrations were obtained from the fixed monitoring sites near the subjects' residences. HRV and heart rate (HR) were monitored by 24-h Holter electrocardiography. The study period was divided into waking and sleeping hours according to time-activity diaries. Linear mixed-effects models were used to investigate the effects of PM2.5/BC on HRV and HR in both groups during wake and sleep. RESULTS The effects of short-term exposure to PM2.5/BC on HRV were more pronounced among obese participants. In the normal-weight group, the positive association between personal PM2.5/BC exposure and high-frequency power (HF) as well as the ratio of low-frequency power to high-frequency power (LF/HF) was observed during wakefulness. In the obese group, personal PM2.5/BC exposure was negatively associated with HF but positively associated with LF/HF during wakefulness, whereas it was negatively correlated to total power and standard deviation of all NN intervals (SDNN) during sleep. An interquartile range (IQR) increase in BC at 2-h moving average was associated with 37.64% (95% confidence interval [CI]: 25.03, 51.51%) increases in LF/HF during wakefulness and associated with 6.28% (95% CI: - 17.26, 6.15%) decreases in SDNN during sleep in obese individuals, and the interaction terms between BC and obesity in LF/HF and SDNN were both statistically significant (p < 0.05). The results also suggested that the effects of PM2.5/BC exposure on several HRV indices and HR differed in magnitude or direction between wake and sleep. CONCLUSIONS Short-term exposure to PM2.5/BC is associated with HRV and HR, especially in obese individuals. The circadian rhythm of HRV should be considered in future studies when HRV is applied.

Abstract
Macrophages play important roles in multiple sclerosis (MS) and experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE), and M2 macrophage may have anti-inflammatory effects. In this study, we elucidated the roles of M1 and M2 macrophages in the pathogenesis of EAE and the effects of treatment with M2 macrophages that target certain proinflammatory cytokines and with immunomodulatory preparations that beneficially influence the disease course. We found macrophages increased at the onset of clinical signs in the EAE group, consistent with an increased proportion of M1 macrophages and low numbers of M2 macrophages. As the disease progressed and the symptoms worsened, M1 macrophages decreased and M2 macrophages gradually increased until the peak. In the recovery stage, M2 macrophages gradually decreased. Treatment with M2 macrophages inhibited the nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) pathway, alleviated the symptoms of EAE, reduced inflammatory cell infiltration and demyelination in the central nervous system and decreased the numbers of macrophages in the spleens. BAY-11-7082, an NF-κB blocking agent, could reduce the total number of macrophages both in vivo and in vitro, effectively prevented EAE development and significantly inhibited EAE symptoms in mice. Our study demonstrates that macrophages may play a crucial role in the pathogenesis of EAE, while M2 macrophages have anti-inflammatory effects. Transfer of M2 macrophages to EAE mice can block the NF-κB pathway successfully and relieve EAE symptoms. Application of NF-κB blockers is useful in the prevention and treatment of EAE.

Abstract
The neural mechanisms of cognitive conflicts within various flanker tasks are still unclear, which may be mixed with different effects of short-term associations and long-term associations. We applied a perceptual (color) flanker task and a symbolic (arrow) flanker task to 25 healthy young adults, while the event-related potentials (ERP) and behavioral performance were recorded. The former contains stimulus-stimulus conflict (SSC) of short-term memory (STM) associations, and the latter contains stimulus-response conflict (SRC) of long-term memory (LTM) associations. Both flanker tasks included congruent and incongruent conditions. The reaction time demonstrated the stimulus-response conflict effect in the arrow flanker task without the stimulus-stimulus conflict effect in the color flanker task. The ERP results showed SSC enhanced the frontocentral N2b without behavioral effects. SRC increased the frontocentral P2 but decreased the centroparietal P3b with prolonged reaction time. In the comparison between both tasks, the color flanker task elicited both the centroparietal N2b/N300 and the frontocentral N400, and the arrow flanker task increased the occipital N1. Our findings provide new evidence that different neural mechanisms underlie conflict effects based on different types of memory associations.

Abstract
Human urine-derived stem cells (USCs) protect rats against kidney ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury. Here we investigated the role of USCs exosomes (USCs-Exos) in protecting tubular endothelial cells and miRNA transfer in the kidney. Human USCs and USCs-Exos were isolated and verified by morphology and specific biomarkers. USC-Exos played a protective role in human proximal tubular epithelial cells (HK-2) exposed to hypoxia/reoxygenation (H/R). USCs-Exos were rich in miR-216a-5p, which targeted phosphatase and tensin homolog (PTEN) and regulated cell apoptosis through the Akt pathway. In HK-2 cells exposed to H/R, incubation with USC-Exos increased miR-216-5p, decreased PTEN levels, and stimulated Akt phosphorylation. Exposure of hypoxic HK-2 cells to USCs-Exos pretreated with anti-miR-216a-5p can prevent the increase of miR-216-5p and Akt phosphorylation levels, restore PTEN expression, and promote apoptosis. The dual-luciferase reported gene assay in HK-2 cells confirmed that miR-216a-5p targeted PTEN. In rats with I/R injury, intravenous infusion of USCs-Exos can effectively induce apoptosis suppression and functional protection, which is associated with decreased PTEN. Infusion of exosomes from anti-miR-216a-5p-transfected USCs weakened the protective effect in the I/R model. Therefore, USCs-Exos can reduce renal I/R injury by transferring miR-216a-5p targeting PTEN. Potentially, USCs-Exos rich in miR-216a-5p can serve as a promising therapeutic option for AKI.

Abstract
Objective: To explore and analyze the clinical characteristics, diagnosis and treatment of infant hairy polyp. Methods: A retrospective analysis was made on 13 cases of hairy polyp confirmed by pathology, who were admitted to the Children's Hospital of Hebei Province from January 2010 to September 2019, including 4 males and 9 females, with a male-female ratio of 1∶2.25. The age ranged from 3 hours to 1 year, and the median age was 1 month. Twelve of the 13 children were found to have difficulty breathing or feeding. All the children received coblation resection under general anesthesia. The root pedicle of the mass was found in the lateral nasopharyngeal wall in 8 cases, in the junction of palatine and palatopharyngeal arch of tonsil and the tongue and esophageal entrance in 1 case, respectively. Nasal septum was found in 2 cases, including 1 case located between two incisors. The wound at the root pedicle was ablated and the bleeding was stopped completely. Results: Postoperative follow-up lasted from 3 months to 2 years, and there was no recurrence in 12 cases. Fibrolaryngoscope showed a mass of the right eustachian tube and pharyngeal mouth in 1 case 2 years after the surgery, which was considered recurrence of hairy polyps and lost after that. Conclusion: Hairy polyps in infants is a rare clinical disease, and its main symptom is upper respiratory tract obstruction. Early diagnosis and radical surgery are the key to the treatment of the disease.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Ozone is a highly oxidative gaseous pollutant associated with adverse health outcomes, but markers for internal exposure to ambient ozone are not well-established. METHODS We aimed to evaluate the feasibility and suitability of the markers in oral microbiome for ambient ozone exposure. Between March and May in 2018, 97 healthy adults were examined on 2 or 3 occasions for oral swab sampling. Hourly concentrations of ambient ozone 1-7 days preceding sampling were collected. Mixed-effect models were fitted to examine the associations between ambient ozone and the diversity and taxon abundances of oral microbiome. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves estimated the accuracies of markers to delineate between samples exposed to different concentrations of ambient ozone. The associations between the makers and lung function were further examined by linear mixed effect models. RESULTS The averages of daily mean concentrations of ambient ozone (O3-daily), maximum 8-h means (O3-8hmax) and 1-h maximums (O3-1hmax) were respectively 72 μg/m³, 123 μg/m³ and 144 μg/m³. O3-daily was positively associated with α-diversity of oral microbiome, but the exposure-response curves only yielded positive associations in the range of O3-daily from 60 μg/m³ to 75 μg/m³. Results of O3-8hmax and O3-1hmax were consistent with these of O3-daily. With an interquartile range increase in O3-daily at lag04, the abundance of Proteobacteria decreased by 3.1% (95% CI: -4.0%, -2.2%) and Firmicutes increased by 3.3% (95% CI: 2.3%, 4.3%), whilst the Proteobacteria:Firmicutes ratio (P/F) decreased by 0.9 (95% CI: -1.5, -0.4). The areas under ROC curves for Proteobacteria, Firmicutes and P/F were 0.8535, 0.7569 and 0.8929, respectively. Proteobacteria and P/F were associated with forced expiratory volume in the first second and fractional exhaled nitric oxide significantly. CONCLUSION Ambient ozone disturbs oral microbial homeostasis. Proteobacteria, Firmicutes and their ratio may be potential markers for short-term ambient ozone exposure, and indicators of airway inflammation or lung function decline.

Abstract
Obstetric antiphospholipid syndrome (OAPS) is an autoimmune disorder with severe life-threatening complications shown during pregnancy. It has been reported that the increase in CD16+CD56dim natural killer (NK) cells in peripheral blood are risk factors for recurrent miscarriages, but this expression of CD16+CD56dim NK cells in OAPS patients has not been reported, and the mechanism is not clearly illustrated. In this study, we compared the distributional profiles of different NK cell subsets and the expressions of NK cell-activating receptors in peripheral blood of patients with OAPS and healthy women. Our results showed significantly increased NKG2A-NKG2D+ subset and decreased NKG2A+NKG2D- subset in CD3- CD16+CD56dim NK cells, CD3-CD16-CD56bright NK cells and CD56+T cells in OAPS patients compared with those in healthy control women. The CD27-CD11b+ subset significantly increased in CD3-CD16+CD56dim NK cells in OAPS patients compared with those in healthy control women. In addition, the NKG2A-NKG2D+ subset in CD3-CD16+CD56dim NK subset in triple positivity was higher than single positivity OAPS patients. At the optimal diagnostic threshold established by ROC analysis, using the cut-off of NKG2A-NKG2D+ and CD27-CD11b+ subset in CD3-CD16+CD56dim NK cells is 10.10% and 92.75%, the sensitivity of NKG2A-NKG2D+ and CD27-CD11b+ to detect patients with OAPS compared with healthy control results was 94.1% and 60.8%, and specificity was 84.2% and 89.5%, respectively, with an area under the curve (AUC) of 0.903 and 0.829, respectively. The NKG2A-NKG2D+ subset in CD3-CD16+CD56dim NK cells was positively correlated with the antiphospholipid antibodies lg anti-aCL IgG, lg anti-aCL IgM, lg anti-aCL IgA, lg anti-β2GP1 IgM and Complement 4(C4), while the CD27+CD11b+ subset in CD3-CD16+CD56dim NK cells was correlated with lg anti-β2GP1 IgG and lg anti-β2GP1 IgA. These results suggested that the NK cytotoxic function enhanced in OAPS patients and unbalanced of NK activating receptors and inhibiting receptors may contribute to the immune pathogenesis of OAPS.

Abstract
Background Enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) has traditionally been used to detect myeloperoxidase (MPO) and proteinase 3 (PR3) antibodies, although it is time‐consuming and physically demanding. As a novel and highly effective immunoassay, we compared chemiluminescent immunoassay (CIA) with ELISA to verify the application value of CIA in MPO and PR3 antibodies detection. Methods By ELISA and CIA, serum levels of anti‐MPO and anti‐PR3 antibodies were measured in 63 anti‐neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA)‐associated vasculitis (AAV) patients (AAV group), including 47 microscopic polyangiitis (MPA) patients and 16 granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA) patients, in addition, 68 patients in interference control group (IC group), 19 healthy subjects in healthy control group (HC group). We compared MPO and PR3 antibodies levels and positive rates measured by these two methods among groups. Relationship and coincidence rate between ELISA and CIA were investigated. Diagnostic values for clinical outcomes for MPO and PR3 antibodies were assessed by receiver operator characteristic (ROC) curve. Results In AAV patients, when detecting anti‐MPO (r = .90) and anti‐PR3 (r = .81), CIA was highly correlated with ELISA, companying with highly total (88.89%, 92.06%, respectively) and positive coincidence rates (84.78%, 77.27%, respectively). In HC group, anti‐PR3 positive rate detected by both immunoassay were 0, anti‐MPO almost were 0, which without statistically significant difference (P = .32). In IC group, the total (76.47%, 58.82, respectively) and positive coincidence rates (48.38%, 30.00%, respectively) of anti‐MPO and anti‐PR3 were the lowest, but the negative coincidence rates reached 100%. By CIA, similar to ELISA, the levels of anti‐MPO were significantly higher both in AAV patients (56.00; [4.40‐235.30]) and MPA patients (98.00; [27.90‐324.70]) compared with either IC group (3.20; [3.20‐18.55) (P < .0001) or HC group (3.20; [3.20‐3.20]) (P < .0001), yielded an area under curve (AUC) of 0.76 for AAV and 0.89 for MPA, the concentration of anti‐PR3 in GPA group (66.65; [24.43‐150.00]) was significantly higher than that in IC group (2.3; [2.3‐10.95]) (P < .0001) and HC group (2.3; [2.3‐2.3]) (P < .0001), with an AUC of 0.92. Conclusion Similar to ELISA, CIA was competent to detect MPO and PR3 antibodies in AAV patients and healthy population, thus distinguish AAV patients from IC group and HC group and effectively diagnose MPA and GPA.

Abstract
The effect of the γ-ray total dose radiation on the energy storage density (ESD) and the phase transition of antiferroelectric-like (AFE-like) Al-doped HfO2 (HfAlO) thin films was investigated. The ESD property and wake-up behavior of the phase transition during the field cycling of the AFE-like HfAlO thin films were quantified before and after the radiation. The efficiency of the AFE-like thin films for energy storage slightly decreases as the total dose increases from 200 krad (Si) to 5 Mrad (Si), which is attributed to the radiation-induced trapped defects at the interfaces of HfAlO/TiN. Both the J-E, C-V, and εr-f characteristics of the AFE-like HfAlO thin films were also measured before and after the radiation at the same electrodes. These results further confirm that the ferroelectricity of the thin films can be reduced due to the radiation oxide trapped defects. It is worth noting that an enhanced wake-up behavior of the AFE-like HfAlO thin films can be observed after the radiation, which indicates that the transition from the antiferroelectric phase to the ferroelectric phase could be accelerated by the increased radiation-induced defects.

Abstract
Malva vein clearing virus (MVCV) is a member of the Potyvirus species, and has a negative impact on the aesthetic development of Alcea rosea. It was first reported in Germany in 1957, but its complete genome sequence data are still scarce. In the present work, A. rosea leaves with vein-clearing and mosaic symptoms were sampled and analyzed with small RNA deep sequencing. By denovo assembly the raw sequences of virus-derived small interfering RNAs (vsiRs) and whole genome amplification of malva vein cleaning virus SX strain (MVCV-SX) by specific primers targeting identified contig gaps, the full-length genome sequences (9,645 nucleotides) of MVCV-SX were characterized, constituting of an open reading frame that is long enough to encode 3,096 amino acids. Phylogenetic analysis showed that MVCV-SX was clustered with euphorbia ringspot virus and yam mosaic virus. Further analyses of the vsiR profiles revealed that the most abundant MVCV-vsiRs were between 21 and 22 nucleotides in length and a strong bias was found for "A" and "U" at the 5'-terminal residue. The results of polarity assessment indicated that the amount of sense strand was almost equal to that of the antisense strand in MVCV-vsiRs, and the main hot-spot region in MVCV-SX genome was found at cylindrical inclusion. In conclusion, our findings could provide new insights into the RNA silencing-mediated host defence mechanism in A. rosea infected with MVCV-SX, and offer a basis for the prevention and treatment of this virus disease.

Abstract
We examined the blood concentrations of neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (NGAL) and citrullinated alpha enolase peptide-1 (CEP-1) antibody in sepsis patients to evaluate their potential diagnostic, classified and prognostic utility together with C-reactive protein (CRP), procalcitonin (PCT), interleukin-6 (IL-6).Sixty-nine patients admitted at the emergency department with sepsis were studied, on admission, their demographic and clinical information were recorded. Blood levels of CRP, PCT, IL-6, NGAL, and CEP-1 antibody were measured. Relationships between sequential [sepsis-related] organ failure assessment score and blood biomarkers, between acute physiology and chronic health evaluation II score and blood biomarkers were investigated. Additionally, the mutual correlation among CRP, PCT, IL-6, NGAL, and CEP-1 antibody were investigated. Diagnostic and predictive values for clinical outcomes for biomarkers were assessed by receiver operator characteristic curve.Sixty-nine participants (38 sepsis, 31 septic shock) were compared with 40 healthy controls. The levels of CRP, PCT, IL-6, and NGAL were significantly higher in sepsis patients ([59.49 ± 48.88]; 0.71, [0.13-11.72]; 60.46, [33.26-201.20]; 265.61, [185.79-500.96], respectively) compared with healthy controls ([2.05 ± 1.85]; 0.02, [0.02-0.03]; 12.08, [7.22-16.84]; 19.73, [7.66-34.39], respectively) (P < .001). CRP, PCT, IL-6, and NGAL had better discriminatory performance with an area under the receiver operator characteristic curve (AUC) of (0.98; 0.98; 0.90; 0.97, respectively), 95% confidence interval (CI) = ([0.95; 1.00]; [0.96; 1.00]; [0.84; 0.96]; [0.94; 1.00], respectively) (P < .001), with a cut off value of (8.02 mg/L [Se = 88.40%, Sp = 100.00%]; 0.06 ng/mL [Se = 94.20%, Sp = 75.00%]; 30.63 pg/mL [Se = 78.30%, Sp = 95.00%]; 95.72 ng/mL [Se = 99.00%, Sp = 92.00%], respectively). Between the sepsis group and septic shock group, PCT and NGAL were significantly higher in septic shock group (2.44, [0.49-20.36]; 294.65 [203.34-1262.47], respectively) compared with sepsis group (0.41, [0.11-2.63]; 219.94, [146.38-385.24], respectively) (P < .05). Between survivors group and nonsurvivors group, PCT was obviously elevated in nonsurvivors group (2.47, [0.70-12.49]) compare with survivors group (0.41, [0.11-8.16]) (P < .05), with an AUC of 0.69, 95% CI = (0.57; 0.81) (P < .05), while CEP-1 antibody was decreased in nonsurvivors group (14.03, [4.94-17.17]) contrast to survivors group (18.78, [8.08-39.72]) (P < .05), with an AUC of 0.67, 95% CI = (0.54; 0.80) (P < .05). Additionally, CEP-1 antibody demonstrated a negative correlation with either sequential [sepsis-related] organ failure assessment score (r = -0.31, P < .05) or PCT (r = -0.27, P < .05).As CRP, PCT, and IL-6, NGAL was valuable in sepsis diagnosis. With a classificatory value, PCT and NGAL correlated with the degree severity of sepsis. PCT and CEP-1 antibody were meaningful in sepsis prognosis. CEP-1 antibody may be a protective factor for sepsis.
