Abstract
Background:Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most common form of arthritis, and its impact is increasing year by year due to an aging population and lack of effective treatments. One of the main structural pathological changes of OA is the loss of articular cartilage. Tools that can predict cartilage loss would help identify people at high risk, thus preventing OA development.Objectives:Using a metabolomics approach, the current study aimed to identify serum metabolomic signatures for predicting the loss of knee cartilage volume over 10 years in a well-established community-based cohort - the Tasmania Older Adult Cohort (TASOAC).Methods:TASOAC is an on-going, prospective, population-based study of older adults who were randomly selected from the roll of electors in Southern Tasmania, Australia. Participants had a right knee magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan at baseline and a 10-year follow-up. Cartilage volume was measured in the medial, lateral, and patellar compartments and change in cartilage volume over 10 years was calculated as percentage change per year. Fasting serum samples collected at 2.6-year follow-up were metabolomically profiled using the TMIC Prime Metabolomics Profiling Assay which measures a total of 143 metabolites. 129 metabolite concentrations passed the quality control and the pairwise ratios of them as the proxies of enzymatic reaction were calculated. Linear regression models were used to test the association between each of the metabolite ratios and change in cartilage volume in each of the knee compartments with adjustment for age, sex, and body mass index (BMI). The significance was defined at a=3.0×10-6 to control multiple testing of 16,512 ratios with Bonferroni method.Results:A total of 344 participants (51% females) were included. The mean baseline age was 62.83±6.13 years and the mean BMI was 27.48±4.41 kg/m2. The average follow-up time was 10.84±0.66 years. Cartilage volume reduced by 1.34±0.72%, 1.06±0.58%, and 0.98±0.46% per year in the medial, lateral, and patellar compartments, respectively. Our data showed that an increased ratio of hexadecenoylcarnitine (C16:1) to tetradecanoylcarnitine (C14) was associated with a 0.12±0.02% per year reduction in patellar cartilage volume (p = 8.80×10-7). An increased ratio of hexadecenoylcarnitine (C16:1) to dodecanoylcarnitine (C12) was also associated with a 0.12±0.02% per year reduction in patellar cartilage volume (p = 2.66×10-6). While there were several metabolite ratios associated with cartilage volume loss in the medial and lateral compartments, none of them reached the predefined significance level.Conclusion:Our data suggested that alteration of fatty acid β-oxidation is involved in knee cartilage loss, especially in the patellar compartment, and the serum ratio of C16:1 to C14 and to C12 could be used to predict long-term patellar cartilage loss.Acknowledgements:We thank all the study participants who made the study possible. Abstract
Accumulation and spread of tau in Alzheimer's disease and other tauopathies occur in a prion-like manner. However, the mechanisms and downstream consequences of tau trafficking remain largely unknown. We hypothesized that tau traffics from neurons to microglia via extracellular vesicles (EVs), leading to IL-6 generation and cognitive impairment. We assessed mice and neurons treated with anesthetics sevoflurane and desflurane, and applied nanobeam-sensor technology, an ultrasensitive method, to measure tau/p-tau amounts. Sevoflurane, but not desflurane, increased tau or p-tau amounts in blood, neuron culture medium, or EVs. Sevoflurane increased p-tau amounts in brain interstitial fluid. Microglia from tau knockout mice took up tau and p-tau when treated with sevoflurane-conditioned neuron culture medium, leading to IL-6 generation. Tau phosphorylation inhibitor lithium and EVs generation inhibitor GW4869 attenuated tau trafficking. GW4869 mitigated sevoflurane-induced cognitive impairment in mice. Thus, tau trafficking could occur from neurons to microglia to generate IL-6, leading to cognitive impairment.

Abstract
Background Our understanding of the relationship between plasma and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) remains limited, which poses an obstacle to the identification of blood-based markers of neuroinflammatory disorders. To better understand the relationship between peripheral and central nervous system (CNS) markers of inflammation before and after surgery, we aimed to examine whether surgery compromises the blood-brain barrier (BBB), evaluate postoperative changes in inflammatory markers, and assess the correlations between plasma and CSF levels of inflammation. Methods We examined the Role of Inflammation after Surgery for Elders (RISE) study of adults aged ≥ 65 who underwent elective hip or knee surgery under spinal anesthesia who had plasma and CSF samples collected at baseline and postoperative 1 month (PO1MO) (n = 29). Plasma and CSF levels of three inflammatory markers previously identified as increasing after surgery were measured using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay: interleukin-6 (IL-6), C-reactive protein (CRP), and chitinase 3-like protein (also known as YKL-40). The integrity of the BBB was computed as the ratio of CSF/plasma albumin levels (Qalb). Mean Qalb and levels of inflammation were compared between baseline and PO1MO. Spearman correlation coefficients were used to determine the correlation between biofluids. Results Mean Qalb did not change between baseline and PO1MO. Mean plasma and CSF levels of CRP and plasma levels of YKL-40 and IL-6 were higher on PO1MO relative to baseline, with a disproportionally higher increase in CRP CSF levels relative to plasma levels (CRP tripled in CSF vs. increased 10% in plasma). Significant plasma-CSF correlations for CRP (baseline r = 0.70 and PO1MO r = 0.89, p < .01 for both) and IL-6 (PO1MO r = 0.48, p < .01) were observed, with higher correlations on PO1MO compared with baseline. Conclusions In this elective surgical sample of older adults, BBB integrity was similar between baseline and PO1MO, plasma-CSF correlations were observed for CRP and IL-6, plasma levels of all three markers (CRP, IL-6, and YKL-40) increased from PREOP to PO1MO, and CSF levels of only CRP increased between the two time points. Our identification of potential promising plasma markers of inflammation in the CNS may facilitate the early identification of patients at greatest risk for neuroinflammation and its associated adverse cognitive outcomes.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Anesthetic sevoflurane induces tau phosphorylation and cognitive impairment in young mice. The underlying mechanism and the targeted interventions remain largely unexplored. We hypothesized that dexmedetomidine and clonidine attenuated sevoflurane-induced tau phosphorylation and cognitive impairment by acting on α-2 adrenergic receptor. METHODS Six-day-old mice received anesthesia with 3% sevoflurane 2 hours daily on postnatal days 6, 9, and 12. Alpha-2 adrenergic receptor agonist dexmedetomidine and clonidine were used to treat the mice with and without the α-2 adrenergic receptor antagonist yohimbine. Mouse hippocampi were harvested and subjected to western blot analysis. The New Object Recognition Test and Morris Water Maze were used to measure cognitive function. We analyzed the primary outcomes by using 2- and 1-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Mann-Whitney U test to determine the effects of sevoflurane on the amounts of phosphorylated tau, postsynaptic density-95, and cognitive function in young mice after the treatments with dexmedetomidine, clonidine, and yohimbine. RESULTS Both dexmedetomidine and clonidine attenuated the sevoflurane-induced increase in phosphorylated tau amount (94 ± 16.3% [dexmedetomidine plus sevoflurane] versus 240 ± 67.8% [vehicle plus sevoflurane], P < .001; 125 ± 13.5% [clonidine plus sevoflurane] versus 355 ± 57.6% [vehicle plus sevoflurane], P < .001; mean ± standard deviation), sevoflurane-induced reduction in postsynaptic density-95 (82 ± 6.6% [dexmedetomidine plus sevoflurane] versus 31 ± 12.4% [vehicle plus sevoflurane], P < .001; 95 ± 6.4% [clonidine plus sevoflurane] versus 62 ± 18.4% [vehicle plus sevoflurane], P < .001), and cognitive impairment in the young mice. Interestingly, yohimbine reversed the effects of dexmedetomidine and clonidine on attenuating the sevoflurane-induced changes in phosphorylated tau, postsynaptic density-95, and cognitive function. CONCLUSIONS Dexmedetomidine and clonidine could inhibit the sevoflurane-induced tau phosphorylation and cognitive impairment via activation of α-2 adrenergic receptor. More studies are needed to confirm the results and to determine the clinical relevance of these findings.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Both animal and retrospective human studies have linked extended and repeated general anaesthesia during early development with cognitive and behavioural deficits later in life. However, the neuronal circuit mechanisms underlying this anaesthesia-induced behavioural impairment are poorly understood. METHODS Neonatal mice were administered one or three doses of propofol, a commonly used i.v. general anaesthetic, over Postnatal days 7-11. Control mice received Intralipid® vehicle injections. At 4 months of age, the mice were subjected to a series of behavioural tests, including motor learning. During the process of motor learning, calcium activity of pyramidal neurones and three classes of inhibitory interneurones in the primary motor cortex were examined in vivo using two-photon microscopy. RESULTS Repeated, but not a single, exposure of neonatal mice to propofol i.p. caused motor learning impairment in adulthood, which was accompanied by a reduction of pyramidal neurone number and activity in the motor cortex. The activity of local inhibitory interneurone networks was also altered: somatostatin-expressing and parvalbumin-expressing interneurones were hypoactive, whereas vasoactive intestinal peptide-expressing interneurones were hyperactive when the mice were performing a motor learning task. Administration of low-dose pentylenetetrazol to attenuate γ-aminobutyric acid A receptor-mediated inhibition or CX546 to potentiate α-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxazolepropionic acid-subtype glutamate receptor function during emergence from anaesthesia ameliorated neuronal dysfunction in the cortex and prevented long-term behavioural deficits. CONCLUSIONS Repeated exposure of neonatal mice to propofol anaesthesia during early development causes cortical circuit dysfunction and behavioural impairments in later life. Potentiation of neuronal activity during recovery from anaesthesia reduces these adverse effects of early-life anaesthesia.

Abstract
PURPOSE Despite the large number of osteoporosis patients in China, the diagnosis and treatment rates remain low. The Fracture Risk Assessment Tool (FRAX) can be used to effectively evaluate fracture risk. In this study, we explored the Chinese-specific thresholds of FRAX without the T-score. METHODS In all, 264 postmenopausal women aged > 50 years were randomly recruited from community-medical centers. All subjects completed self-reported questionnaires, BMD measurements, and spinal radiographs. The 10-year hip and major osteoporotic fracture risks were calculated by FRAX. A new threshold for both 10-year hip and major osteoporotic fracture risk was explored with receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis. RESULTS Overall, 92 subjects were diagnosed with osteoporosis. Among them, 14 participants with T-score > - 2.5 were diagnosed with osteoporosis based on clinical fractures. ROC analysis showed the cut-off value of the 10-year hip osteoporotic fracture for detecting osteoporosis was 0.95%, while that of 10-year major osteoporotic fracture was 4.95%. The sensitivity and specificity of the 10-year hip osteoporotic fracture probability for detecting osteoporosis were 0.86 and 0.59, respectively, while the guideline-recommended threshold had a sensitivity of 0.49 and specificity of 0.83. The sensitivity and specificity of the 10-year major osteoporotic fractures with the new threshold were 0.76 and 0.69, respectively, while the recommended threshold had a sensitivity of 0 and specificity of 1. CONCLUSION Current guideline-recommended FRAX thresholds without BMD showed low sensitivity. Therefore, 10-year osteoporotic hip fracture probability ≥ 0.95% and 10-year osteoporotic major fracture probability ≥ 4.95% are recommended as the new thresholds.

Abstract
AIM To investigate the potential role of Krüppel-like factor 6 (KLF6) in the odontoblastic differentiation of immortalized dental papilla mesenchymal cells (iMDP-3) cells. METHODOLOGY Alizarin Red S (ARS) and Alkaline phosphatase (ALP) staining was used to examine the mineralization effect of iMDP-3 cells after odontoblastic induction. Real-time PCR and Western blotting were employed to analyse dentine sialophosphoprotein (DSPP), dentine matrix protein 1 (DMP1), RUNX family transcription factor 2 (RUNX2), ALP and KLF6 expression during this process. Co-expression of the KLF6 with DMP1, DSPP and RUNX2 was detected by double immunofluorescence staining to explore their local relationship in the cell. To further investigate KLF6 functions, Klf6 gain- and loss-of-function assays followed by ARS and ALP stainings, real-time PCR and Western blotting were performed using Klf6-overexpression plasmids and Klf6 siRNA to investigate whether changes in Klf6 expression affect the odontoblastic differentiation of iMDP-3 cells. Dual-luciferase reporter assays were used to elucidate the mechanistic regulation of Dspp and Dmp1 expression by Klf6. Means were compared using the unpaired t-test and Kruskal-Wallis one-way anova with P < 0.05 and P < 0.01 defined as statistical significance levels. RESULTS The expression levels of Klf6 (P < 0.01), Dspp (P < 0.05), Dmp1 (P < 0.01), Runx2 (P < 0.01) and Alp (P < 0.01) were significantly elevated during odontoblastic differentiation of iMDP-3 cells. KLF6 was co-localized with DSPP, DMP1 and RUNX2 in the cytoplasm and nucleus of iMDP-3 cells. Overexpression of Klf6 promoted the odontoblastic differentiation of iMDP-3, whereas the inhibition of Klf6 prevented this procession. Dual-luciferase assays revealed that Klf6 upregulates Dspp and Dmp1 transcription in iMDP-3 cells during odontoblastic differentiation. CONCLUSION Klf6 promoted odontoblastic differentiation by targeting the transcription promoter of Dmp1 and Dspp. This study may offer novel insights into strategies for treating injuries to dental pulp tissue.

Abstract
Postoperative delirium is the most common complication among older adults undergoing major surgery. The pathophysiology of delirium is poorly understood, and no blood-based, predictive markers are available. We characterized the plasma metabolome of 52 delirium cases and 52 matched controls from the Successful Aging after Elective Surgery (SAGES) cohort (N = 560) of patients ≥ 70 years old without dementia undergoing scheduled major non-cardiac surgery. We applied targeted mass spectrometry with internal standards and pooled controls using a nested matched case-control study preoperatively (PREOP) and on postoperative day 2 (POD2) to identify potential delirium risk and disease markers. Univariate analyses identified 37 PREOP and 53 POD2 metabolites associated with delirium and multivariate analyses achieved significant separation between the two groups with an 11-metabolite prediction model at PREOP (AUC = 83.80%). Systems biology analysis using the metabolites with differential concentrations rendered "valine, leucine, and isoleucine biosynthesis" at PREOP and "citrate cycle" at POD2 as the most significantly enriched pathways (false discovery rate < 0.05). Perturbations in energy metabolism and amino acid synthesis pathways may be associated with postoperative delirium and suggest potential mechanisms for delirium pathogenesis. Our results could lead to the development of a metabolomic delirium predictor.

Abstract
The BCOP assay is used in the identification of chemicals that cause no ocular irritation or serious damage. However, this method has not been found to adequately discriminate between mild from moderate ocular irritation (category 2A/2B), based upon the animal data. In this study, we aimed to establish methods for discerning ocular irritation by chemicals. We used the BCOP assay and the fluorescence staining methods based on biomarkers for cellular viability and death. The potential for ocular irritation by 12 chemicals from different UN GHS categories was assessed by the BCOP assay. Cryosections of bovine corneas were obtained. The necrotic nucleus was TUNEL labeled, cytoplasmic f-actin was stained by phalloidin while the nucleus was stained by DAPI. The depth of injury (DOI) was then measured. According to BCOP assay, in vivo data of Draize eye test and DOI, the results showed that category NC irritants caused ≤ 10 % epithelial DOI, irritants of category 2B caused >10 % epithelial DOI and showed no stromal damage, while category 2A showed damage to the stroma. Based on these results, the GHS prediction model could distinguish between GHS 2A and 2B. Authenticating the viability of BCOP by DOI measurements can provide a more reliable basis for classifying ocular irritants.

Abstract
Tau phosphorylation is associated with cognitive impairment in young mice. However, the underlying mechanism and targeted interventions remain mostly unknown. We set out to determine the potential interactions of Tau, interleukin 6 (IL-6) and mitochondria following treatment of anesthetic sevoflurane and to assess their influences on synapse number and cognition in young mice. Sevoflurane (3% for 2 h) was given to wild-type, Tau knockout, IL-6 knockout, and cyclophilin D (CypD) knockout mice on postnatal (P) day 6, 7 and 8. We measured amounts of phosphorylated Tau, IL-6, reactive oxygen species (ROS), mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP), ATP, postsynaptic density 95 (PSD-95), synaptophysin, N-cadherin, synapse number, and cognitive function in the mice, employing Western blot, electron microscope and Morris water maze among others. Here we showed that sevoflurane increased Tau phosphorylation and caused IL-6 elevation, mitochondrial dysfunction, synaptic loss and cognitive impairment in young wild-type, but not Tau knockout, mice. In young IL-6 knockout mice, sevoflurane increased Tau phosphorylation but did not cause mitochondrial dysfunction, synaptic loss or cognitive impairment. Finally, sevoflurane increased Tau phosphorylation and IL-6 amount, but did not induce synaptic loss and cognitive impairment, in young CypD knockout mice or WT mice pretreated with idebenone, an analog of co-enzyme Q10. In conclusion, sevoflurane increased Tau phosphorylation, which caused IL-6 elevation, leading to mitochondrial dysfunction in young mice. Such interactions caused synaptic loss and cognitive impairment in the mice. Idebenone mitigated sevoflurane-induced cognitive impairment in young mice. These studies would promote more research to study Tau in young mice. Research in context.Evidence before this studyTau, a microtubule-associated protein that is predominantly expressed inside neurons, is associated with microtubule assembly and function. Tau phosphorylation, aggregation and spread all serve as the pathogenesis of age-dependent neurodegeneration in the old brain, as well as the neuropathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease. However, the effects of Tau on the cellular changes and the function of the young brain are undetermined. Our previous studies showed that anesthetic sevoflurane induced Tau phosphorylation, IL-6 elevation, mitochondrial dysfunction and synaptic loss in brain tissues of neonatal mice, as well as cognitive impairment in the mice. However, the potential interactions of the Tau phosphorylation, IL-6 elevation and mitochondrial dysfunction and the influences of these interactions on synapse number and cognitive function in neonatal mice remains largely unknown.
Added value of studyEmploying sevoflurane as a clinically relevant tool, and using the approaches including wild-type, Tau, IL-6, and CypD knockout neonatal mice, the present studies showed that Tau phosphorylation caused IL-6 elevation, which induced mitochondrial dysfunction, leading to synaptic loss and cognitive impairment in the neonatal mice. Idebenone, a synthetic analog of coenzyme Q10, mitigated the sevoflurane-induced cognitive impairment in the neonatal mice.
Implications of all the available evidenceThese findings demonstrated the role of Tau phosphorylation in cognitive impairment in neonatal mice, revealed the effects of the interactions of Tau phosphorylation, IL-6 elevation and mitochondrial dysfunction on the synapse number and cognitive function in the mice, and identified potential targeted intervention of the cognitive impairment in the neonatal mice.

Abstract
Sevoflurane, a commonly used anesthetic, may cause agitation in patients. However, the mechanism underlying this clinical observation remains largely unknown. We thus assessed the effects of sevoflurane on neuronal activation and behaviors in mice. Ten-day-old mice received 2% sevoflurane, 1% isoflurane, or 6% desflurane for 10 minutes. The behavioral activities were recorded and evaluated at one minute after the loss of righting reflex in the mice, which was about two minutes after the anesthetic administration. The neuronal activation was evaluated by c-Fos expression and calcium imaging at one minute after the anesthetic administration. Propofol, which reduces neuronal activation, was used to determine the cause-and-effect of sevoflurane. We found that sevoflurane caused an increase in neuronal activation in primary somatosensory cortex of young mice and behavioral hyperactivity in the mice at one minute after the loss of righting reflex. Desflurane did not induce behavioral hyperactivity and isoflurane only caused behavioral hyperactivity with borderline significance. Finally, propofol attenuated the sevoflurane-induced increase in neuronal activation and behavioral hyperactivity in young mice. These results demonstrate an unexpected sevoflurane-induced increase in neuronal activation and behavioral hyperactivity in young mice. These findings suggest the potential mechanisms underlying the sevoflurane-induced agitation and will promote future studies to further determine whether anesthetics can induce behavioral hyperactivity via increasing neuronal activation.

Abstract
Mitochondrial function is critical for cell vitality in all eukaryotes including plants. Although plant mitochondria contain many proteins, few have been studied in the context of plant development and physiology. We used knock-down mutant RPS9M to study its important role in male gametogenesis and seed development in Arabidopsis thaliana. Knock-down of RPS9M in the rps9m-3 mutant led to abnormal pollen development and impaired pollen tube growth. In addition, both embryo and endosperm development were affected. Phenotype analysis revealed that the rps9m-3 mutant contained a lower amount of endosperm and nuclear proteins, and both embryo cell division and embryo pattern were affected, resulting in an abnormal and defective embryo. Lowering the level of RPS9M in rps9m-3 affects mitochondrial ribosome biogenesis, energy metabolism and production of ROS. Our data revealed that RPS9M plays important roles in normal gametophyte development and seed formation, possibly by sustaining mitochondrial function.

Abstract
With the joint efforts of countries and global non-state actors, great achievements have been made in the global malaria control programme; however, malaria remains a serious threat to human health. As the global leader for combating malaria, WHO formulated The Global Technical Strategy for Malaria 2016-2030, and the Global Malaria Programme, under the leadership of WHO, is responsible for implementing 5 key projects to achieve the goal proposed in The Global Technical Strategy for Malaria 2016-2030. In addition, the Global Fund, the U.S. President's Malaria Initiative and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation also play an important role in global malaria elimination programme. This review describes the currently main non-state actors participating in the global malaria elimination programme, and calls for the enhanced inter-actor coordination and close collaboration with state governments to achieve the great goal of malaria elimination in the world.

Abstract
AIM To summarise the features of chest computed tomography (CT) of a series of patients infected with 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCov) to speed up recognition and have a better understanding of COVID-19 disease. MATERIALS AND METHODS The clinical information and chest CT images of 93 patients infected with 2019-nCov from multiple centres were reviewed. RESULTS Of the 93 cases, abnormalities in 91 cases were located at the subpleural level, presenting with ground-glass opacity (GGO; n=69, 74.2%) and consolidation (n=56, 60.2%) in multiple lobes. Other CT features included vascular dilatation (n=83, 89.2%), interlobular septal thickening (n=29, 31.2%), bronchodilatation (n=44, 47.3%), the crazy-paving sign (n=34, 36.6%), the sieve-hole sign (n=12, 12.9%), pleural thickening (n=21, 22.6%), and pleural effusion (n=8, 8.6%). Multiple lobe involvement, including the presence of consolidation, the crazy-paving sign, interlobular septal thickening, pleural thickening and pleural effusion, was more common in critical patients with heavy/critical infection (p<0.05), whereas the presence of GGO, involvement of one or two lobes, and the halo sign were more common in patients with mild/common-type infections (p<0.05). Moreover, older age, higher body temperature, complaints of chest tightness and breathlessness, and lymphopenia was associated with heavy/critical infections. CONCLUSION The CT and clinical appearances of COVID-19 are variable and reflect the severity of COVID-19 to some extent.

Abstract
PURPOSE Laparoscopic high ligation of the internal inguinal ring is an alternative procedure for treatment of pediatric inguinal hernia (PIH), with a major trend toward increasing use of extracorporeal knotting and decreasing use of working ports. We have utilized this laparoscopic technique to treat the entire spectrum of PIH (including incarcerated cases) for more than 17 years, and the technique continues to evolve and improve. We herein report our latest modification of this minimally invasive technique, namely single-site laparoscopic percutaneous extraperitoneal closure (SLPEC) of hernia sac high ligation using an ordinary taper needle, and evaluate its safety and efficacy. METHODS From July 2016 to July 2019, 790 children with indirect PIH were treated by laparoscopic surgery. All patients underwent high ligation surgery with a modified single-site laparoscopic technique mainly performed by extracorporeal suturing with an ordinary closed-eye taper needle (1/2 arc 11 × 34). The clinical data were retrospectively analyzed. RESULTS All surgeries were successful without serious complications. A contralateral patent processus vaginalis (CPPV) was found intraoperatively and subsequently repaired in 190 patients (25.4%). The mean operative time was 15 min (8-25 min) for 557 unilateral hernias and 21 min (14-36 min) for 233 bilateral hernias. The mean postoperative stay was 20 h. Minor complications occurred in five patients (0.63%) and were managed properly, with no major impact on the final outcomes. No recurrence was noted in the patients who were followed up for 6-42 months. No obvious scar was present postoperatively. CONCLUSION Modified SLPEC of hernia sac high ligation using an ordinary taper needle for repair of indirect PIH is a safe, reliable, and minimally invasive procedure with satisfactory outcome, with no special device being needed. It is easy to learn and perform and is worthy of popularization in the clinical setting.
