Abstract
Purpose The purpose of this study is to compare the application value of 68Ga-FAPI and 18F-FDG PET/CT in primary and metastatic lesions of abdominal and pelvic malignancies (APMs). Materials The search, limited to the earliest available date of indexing through 31 July 2022, was performed on PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library databases using a data-specific Boolean logic search strategy. We calculated the detection rate (DR) of 68Ga-FAPI and 18F-FDG PET/CT in the primary staging and recurrence of APMs, and pooled sensitivities/specificities based on lymph nodes or distant metastases. Results We analyzed 473 patients and 2775 lesions in the 13 studies. The DRs of 68Ga-FAPI and 18F-FDG PET/CT in evaluating the primary staging and recurrence of APMs were 0.98 (95% CI: 0.95-1.00), 0.76 (95% CI: 0.63-0.87), and 0.91(95% CI: 0.61-1.00), 0.56 (95% CI: 0.44-0.68), respectively. The DRs of 68Ga-FAPI and 18F-FDG PET/CT in primary gastric cancer and liver cancer were 0.99 (95% CI: 0.96-1.00), 0.97 (95% CI: 0.89-1.00) and 0.82 (95% CI: 0.59-0.97), 0.80 (95% CI: 0.52-0.98), respectively. The pooled sensitivities of 68Ga-FAPI and 18F-FDG PET/CT in lymph nodes or distant metastases were 0.717(95% CI: 0.698-0.735) and 0.525(95% CI: 0.505-0.546), and the pooled specificities were 0.891 (95% CI: 0.858-0.918) and 0.821(95% CI: 0.786-0.853), respectively. Conclusions This meta-analysis concluded that 68Ga-FAPI and 18F-FDG PET/CT had a high overall diagnostic performance in detecting the primary staging and lymph nodes or distant metastases of APMs, but the detection ability of 68Ga-FAPI was significantly higher than that of 18F-FDG. However, the ability of 68Ga-FAPI to diagnose lymph node metastasis is not very satisfactory, and is significantly lower than that of distant metastasis. Association between Frailty Assessed Using Two Electronic Medical Record-Based Frailty Assessment Tools and Long-Term Adverse Prognosis in Older Critically Ill Survivors. J Nutr Health Aging 2023; 27:649-655. [PMID: 37702338 DOI: 10.1007/s12603-023-1961-6] [Citation(s) in RCA: 0] [Impact Index Per Article: 0] [Reference Citation Analysis] [Abstract] [Key Words] [MESH Headings] [Track Full Text] [Journal Information] [Subscribe] [Scholar Register] [Received: 06/13/2023] [Accepted: 07/20/2023] [Indexed: 09/14/2023]
Abstract
OBJECTIVES Frailty has become an independent risk factor for adverse outcomes in critically ill patients. This study aimed to explore the predictive ability of two electronic medical record-based frailty assessment tools, the Hospital Frailty Risk Score (HFRS) and Frailty Index based on physiological and laboratory tests (FI-lab), for long-term adverse prognosis in older critically ill survivors. DESIGN Retrospective observational study. SETTING AND PARTICIPANTS 9,082 critically ill survivors aged ≥ 65 years. MEASUREMENTS The HFRS and the 33-item FI-lab were constructed based on the published literature. Cox and logistic regression models assessed the association between frailty and 1-year mortality and post-discharge care needs. RESULTS 2,586 patients died within 1 year of follow-up. In fully adjusted models, frailty assessed using both the HFRS (per point, hazard ratio [HR] 1.06, 95% confidential interval [CI] 1.05-1.06; intermediate frailty risk, HR 2.00, 95% CI 1.78-2.25; high frailty risk, HR 3.06, 95% CI 2.68-3.50) and FI-lab (per 0.01 points, HR 1.03, 95% CI 1.03-1.03; intermediate frailty risk, HR 1.59, 95% CI 1.44-1.76; high frailty risk, HR 2.30, 95% CI 2.06-2.57) was associated with mortality. Addition of frailty indicators improved the predictive validity of the Sequential Organ Failure Assessment score for mortality (HFRS alone ∆ C-index 0.034; FI-lab alone ∆ C-index 0.016; HFRS and FI-lab combined ∆ C-index 0.042). The HFRS but not the FI-lab was associated with higher probability of post-discharge care needs. CONCLUSION Both the HFRS and FI-lab could independently predict 1-year mortality in older critically ill survivors. Adding the HFRS to the SOFA score model improved it more than adding the FI-lab. The greatest improvement was achieved when both frailty indicators were used together. These findings suggest that electronic medical record-based frailty assessment methods can be useful tools for predicting long-term outcomes in older critically ill patients.

Abstract
The kilometer square array (KM2A) of the large high altitude air shower observatory (LHAASO) aims at surveying the northern γ-ray sky at energies above 10 TeV with unprecedented sensitivity. γ-ray observations have long been one of the most powerful tools for dark matter searches, as, e.g., high-energy γ rays could be produced by the decays of heavy dark matter particles. In this Letter, we present the first dark matter analysis with LHAASO-KM2A, using the first 340 days of data from 1/2-KM2A and 230 days of data from 3/4-KM2A. Several regions of interest are used to search for a signal and account for the residual cosmic-ray background after γ/hadron separation. We find no excess of dark matter signals, and thus place some of the strongest γ-ray constraints on the lifetime of heavy dark matter particles with mass between 10^{5} and 10^{9} GeV. Our results with LHAASO are robust, and have important implications for dark matter interpretations of the diffuse astrophysical high-energy neutrino emission.

Collision-System and Beam-Energy Dependence of Anisotropic Flow Fluctuations. PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2022; 129:252301. Abstract
Elliptic flow measurements from two-, four-, and six-particle correlations are used to investigate flow fluctuations in collisions of U+U at sqrt[s_{NN}]=193 GeV, Cu+Au at sqrt[s_{NN}]=200 GeV and Au+Au spanning the range sqrt[s_{NN}]=11.5-200 GeV. The measurements show a strong dependence of the flow fluctuations on collision centrality, a modest dependence on system size, and very little if any, dependence on particle species and beam energy. The results, when compared to similar LHC measurements, viscous hydrodynamic calculations, and trento model eccentricities, indicate that initial-state-driven fluctuations predominate the flow fluctuations generated in the collisions studied.

Abstract
The study of the Cabibbo-favored semileptonic decay Λ_{c}^{+}→Λe^{+}ν_{e} is reported using a 4.5 fb^{-1} data sample of e^{+}e^{-} annihilations collected at center-of-mass energies ranging from 4.600 GeV to 4.699 GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. The branching fraction of the decay is measured to be B(Λ_{c}^{+}→Λe^{+}ν_{e})=(3.56±0.11_{stat}±0.07_{syst})%, which is the most precise measurement to date. Furthermore, we perform an investigation of the internal dynamics in Λ_{c}^{+}→Λe^{+}ν_{e}. We provide the first direct comparisons of the differential decay rate and form factors with those predicted from lattice quantum chromodynamics (LQCD) calculations. Combining the measured branching fraction with a q^{2}-integrated rate predicted by LQCD, we determine |V_{cs}|=0.936±0.017_{B}±0.024_{LQCD}±0.007_{τ_{Λ_{c}}}.

Abstract
BACKGROUND AND AIMS Hyperuricaemia can lead to gout and is associated with an increased risk of cardiometabolic disease. We aimed to investigate the prevalence of hyperuricaemia and its related factors in Chinese children and adolescents. METHODS We pooled data from 11 population-based studies comprising 54,580 participants aged 3-19 years. The sex- and age-standardized prevalence of hyperuricaemia was estimated overall and by sex, age, weight status, geographic region and survey year. RESULTS Serum uric acid (SUA) increased gradually from 3 to 11 years with no significant sex difference, and then increased dramatically during 11-15 years. The estimated overall prevalence of hyperuricaemia was 23.3% (26.6% in boys and 19.8% in girls, p < .001). The prevalence increased with growing age (3.7, 9.8, 15.8, 35.5 and 31.7% among children aged 3-5, 6-8, 9-11, 12-15 and 16-19 years, respectively, p for trend < .001) and with increasing weight status (18.2, 37.6, 50.6 and 64.5% among children with non-overweight, overweight, obesity and extreme obesity, respectively, p for trend < .001). The prevalence was higher in North than in South (24.2 vs. 19.7%, p < .001), and increased markedly from 16.7% during 2009-2015 to 24.8% during 2016-2019. In multivariable regression analyses, sex, age, obesity, region and survey year were independently associated with odds of hyperuricaemia. CONCLUSIONS The prevalence of hyperuricaemia in Chinese children and adolescents is unexpectedly high. The findings suggest an urgent need to implement effective interventions to reduce risk of hyperuricaemia in Chinese youths.KEY MESSAGESQuestion: What is the prevalence of hyperuricaemia in Chinese children and adolescents?Findings: In this large pooled cross-sectional study comprising >50,000 children and adolescents aged 3-19 years, we found that the prevalence of hyperuricaemia was high in overall population and subgroups of sex, age, obesity, region and survey year.Meaning: Our findings indicate that hyperuricaemia is an important health problem in Chinese children and adolescents, and effective intervention strategies are needed to reduce its burden.

Abstract
Objective: To assess the clinical impact of direct two-step distraction reduction (TSDR) for basilar invagination (BI) with atlantoaxial dislocation (AAD). Methods: Retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of patients who underwent TSDR and occipitocervical fusion in West China Hospital between October 2013 and March 2021. Depending on whether the preoperative decrease was greater than 50% on preoperative hyperextension X-rays, the patients were split into two groups. The neurological function [Japanese Orthopedic Association (JOA) score], atlantodens interval (ADI), the distance of odontoid process beyond McRae Line (ML) and Wackenheim Line (WL), cervicomedullary angle (CMA), O-C2 angle (OC2A), and complications incidence were compared between two groups preoperatively and postoperatively. Results: There were 12 men and 23 women among the 35 patients with BI and AAD, and the age ranged from 28 to 71 years, with an mean age of (52.0±13.4) years. In the preoperative reduction ≥50% group, there were 4 males and 9 females with an average age of (54.0±13.8) years; in the preoperative reduction <50% group, there were 8 males and 14 females with a mean age of (50.9±13.4) years. All the patients were followed-up for a mean time of (23.3±13.4) months. There was no significant difference in age, gender, bleeding, length of hospital stay and follow-up time between the two groups (all P>0.05). The JOA score, ADI, WL, ML and CMA of 35 patients were significantly improved when compared with those before operation (all P<0.05). The reduction degree of ADI, ML and WL was more than 80% in 31 cases (88.57%), 30 cases (85.71%) and 31 cases (88.57%), respectively. There was no significant difference in postoperative ADI, ML and WL between the two groups (all P>0.05). All patients had no incision infection, no loosening or breakage of the internal fixators. Dysphagia occurred in 3 patients, non-fusion happened in 1 patient, but no instability in X-ray of cervical dynamic position was found, no loosening or displacement occurred in internal fixators, and partial spontaneous fusion occurred between atlantoaxial lateral mass joints. Conclusions: For BI with AAD without atlantoaxial bony connection or serious atlantoaxial facet joint inclination, TSDR could obtain satisfactory reduction degree. The reduction degree on preoperative hyperextension X-ray doesn't affect the degree of intraoperative reduction.

Abstract
The radiative hyperon decay Λ→nγ is studied using (10087±44)×10^{6} J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector operating at BEPCII. The absolute branching fraction of the decay Λ→nγ is determined to be (0.832±0.038_{stat}±0.054_{syst})×10^{-3}, which is a factor of 2.1 lower and 5.6 standard deviations different than the previous measurement. By analyzing the joint angular distribution of the decay products, the first determination of the decay asymmetry α_{γ} is reported with a value of -0.16±0.10_{stat}±0.05_{syst}.

Abstract
Accommodative convergence/accommodation (AC/A) ratio is an important concept in strabismus and amblyopia. Although AC/A ratio is a commonly used clinical index, most ophthalmologists do not have a thorough understanding of it, and there may be some deviations in its empirical application. In this paper, we reviewed the normal range, measuring method, classification, influencing factors and clinical application value of AC/A, aiming to provide the basis for the application of AC/A ratio in physical check-up of normal population, disease evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of strabismus patients.

Abstract
Organic fouling caused by dissolved organic matter (DOM) is a critical challenge for membrane technologies. In this study, prediction models for the fouling of commercial polyether sulfone (PES) and regenerated cellulose (RC) ultrafiltration membranes by DOM were established based on the hydrophobicity of DOM. The organic fouling behavior of 40 natural water samples collected from Lake Taihu was investigated. The fouling propensity of water samples on ultrafiltration membranes was evaluated using the fouling index (FI). The hydrophobicity of DOM in water samples was quantified by its partition coefficient in an aqueous two-phase system (KATPS). The FI of water samples on RC membranes was lower than that on PES membranes due to stronger repulsive Lewis acid-base interactions, which reduced DOM-membrane interactions. A significant positive correlation was found between KATPS and FI, suggesting the important role of DOM hydrophobicity in the organic fouling of ultrafiltration membranes. FI prediction models using KATPS as the variable were established using a training group containing 20 water samples for PES and RC membranes, respectively. The resulting models were then validated using the additional 20 water samples, which suggested good prediction power (RMSE = 1.65). The pH effect on the organic fouling can be adequately predicted by the same model with KATPS values measured at given pH. The results suggest that KATPS can be used as a convenient index for assessing the initial organic fouling of ultrafiltration membranes by freshwater DOM.

Abstract
Using e^{+}e^{-} annihilation data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 6.32 fb^{-1} collected at center-of-mass energies between 4.178 and 4.226 GeV with the BESIII detector, we perform the first amplitude analysis of the decay D_{s}^{+}→K_{S}^{0}K^{+}π^{0} and determine the relative branching fractions and phases for intermediate processes. We observe an a_{0}-like state with mass of 1.817 GeV in its decay to K_{S}^{0}K^{+} for the first time. In addition, we measure the ratio {B[D_{s}^{+}→K[over ¯]^{*}(892)^{0}K^{+}]/B[D_{s}^{+}→K[over ¯]^{0}K^{*}(892)^{+}]} to be 2.35_{-0.23stat}^{+0.42}±0.10_{syst}. Finally, we provide a precision measurement of the absolute branching fraction B(D_{s}^{+}→K_{S}^{0}K^{+}π^{0})=(1.46±0.06_{stat}±0.05_{syst})%.

Abstract
Objective: To verify Baveno VI criteria, Expanded-Baveno VI criteria, liver stiffness×spleen diameter-to-platelet ratio risk score (LSPS), and platelet count/spleen diameter ratio (PSR) in evaluating the severity value of esophageal varices (EV) in patients with non-cirrhotic portal hypertension (NCPH). Methods: 111 cases of NCPH and 204 cases of hepatitis B cirrhosis who met the diagnostic criteria were included in the study. NCPH included 70 cases of idiopathic non-cirrhotic portal hypertension (INCPH) and 41 cases of nontumoral portal vein thrombosis (PVT). According to the severity of EV on endoscopy, they were divided into the low-bleeding-risk group (no/mild EV) and the high-bleeding-risk group (moderate/severe EV). The diagnostic value of Baveno VI and Expanded-Baveno VI criteria was verified to evaluate the value of LSPS and PSR for EV bleeding risk severity in NCPH patients. The t-test or Mann-Whitney U test was used to compare the measurement data between groups. Comparisons between counting data groups were performed using either the χ2 test or the Fisher exact probability method. Results: Considering endoscopy was the gold standard for diagnosis, the missed diagnosis rates of low/high bleeding risk EVs in INCPH/PVT patients with Baveno VI and Expanded-Baveno VI criteria were 50.0%/30.0% and 53.8%/50.0%, respectively. There were no statistically significant differences in platelet count (PLT), spleen diameter, liver stiffness (LSM), LSPS, and PSR between low-bleeding-risk and high-bleeding-risk groups in INCPH patients, and the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) of LSPS and PSR was 0.564 and 0.592, respectively (P=0.372 and 0.202, respectively). There were statistically significant differences in PLT, spleen diameter, LSPS, and PSR between the low and high-bleeding risk groups in PVT patients, and the AUCs of LSPS and PSR were 0.796 and 0.833 (P=0.003 and 0.001, respectively). In patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis, the Baveno VI and Expanded-Baveno VI criteria were used to verify the low bleeding risk EV, and the missed diagnosis rates were 0 and 5.4%, respectively. There were statistically significant differences in PLT, spleen diameter, LSM, LSPS and PSR between the low-bleeding-risk and high-bleeding-risk groups (P<0.001). LSPS and PSR AUC were 0.867 and 0.789, respectively (P<0.05). Conclusion: Baveno VI and Expanded-Baveno VI criteria have a high missed diagnosis rate for EVs with low bleeding risk in patients with INPCH and PVT, while LSPS and PSR have certain value in evaluating EV bleeding risk in PVT patients, which requires further clinical research.

Abstract
We report muon spin rotation (µSR) experiments on the microscopic properties of superconductivity and magnetism in the kagome superconductor CeRu2withTc≃5 K. From the measurements of the temperature-dependent magnetic penetration depthλ, the superconducting order parameter exhibits nodeless pairing, which fits best to an anisotropics-wave gap symmetry. We further show that theTc/λ-2ratio is comparable to that of unconventional superconductors. Furthermore, the powerful combination of zero-field (ZF)-µSR and high-fieldµSR has been used to uncover magnetic responses across three characteristic temperatures, identified asT1∗≃110 K,T2∗≃65 K, andT3∗≃40 K. Our experiments classify CeRu2as an exceedingly rare nodeless magnetic kagome superconductor.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the prevalence and risk factors of pterygium in the rural population aged 40 years and above of 12 ethnic groups in 6 regions of Yunnan Province. Methods: This was a cross-sectional study. According to the method of multistage stratified sampling, samples of the rural population aged 40 years and above were collected from 12 ethnic groups (Han, Yi, Tibetan, Lisu, Bai, Naxi, Zhuang, Miao, Dai, Jingpo, Hani, and Lahu) in six areas (Diqing, Lijiang, Wenshan, Dehong, and Pu'er) of Yunnan Province from March 2019 to November 2019. Anterior segment examination was carried out in the target population with a hand-held slit-lamp, according to which pterygium was diagnosed, while the posterior segment of the eye was assessed by direct ophthalmoscopy. A field questionnaire survey was also conducted. A two-level model was used to study the effects of the location, nationality, sex, age, occupation, outdoor activities, smoking, and alcohol consumption on the prevalence of pterygium, with the ethnic group as the high level and the individual as the low level. Results: Among 9 617 subjects, the total prevalence rate of pterygium was 22.6%, which was adjusted to 19.6% according to the age and gender data of the Statistics Bureau of Yunnan Province. There was significant difference in prevalence of pterygium among six regions after adjusting for age and sex (χ2=146.50, P<0.001). The prevalence of pterygium was the highest in Wenshan (29.4%), followed by Chuxiong (24.4%), Diqing (17.5%), Pu'er (17.5%), Dehong (15.8%), and Lijiang (15.7%) (χ2=146.50, P<0.001). The results of the single factor analysis showed that there was statistically significant difference among different groups of age, gender, nationality, location, history of smoking, drinking, eating habits, sleeping time, continuous use of eye drops, temperature, humidity, altitude, longitude, latitude, and ultraviolet ray (P<0.05). However, the results of the multivariate analysis showed that the main risk factors of pterygium were female(OR=1.357,95%CI:1.173~1.568), advanced age(OR=1.540,95%CI:1.301~1.823), location(OR=1.713,95%CI:1.000~2.667), continuous use of eye drops(OR=1.177,95%CI:1.034~1.340), and more than 40 years of alcohol drinking(OR=1.525, 95%CI: 1.108~2.099), and the protective factor was more than 40 years of smoking(OR=0.723,95%CI:0.544~0.960). Conclusions: The prevalence of pterygium varies greatly among different regions in Yunnan Province. The main factors affecting the prevalence are sex, age, region, smoking history, and drinking history.

Associations of comorbidity patterns and in-hospital outcomes in Chinese young females (<55 years) presenting with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction: a nationwide registry study. Eur Heart J 2022. [DOI: 10.1093/eurheartj/ehac544.2506] [Citation(s) in RCA: 0] [Impact Index Per Article: 0] [Reference Citation Analysis] [Abstract] [Track Full Text] [Journal Information] [Submit a Manuscript] [Subscribe] [Scholar Register] [Indexed: 11/12/2022] Open
Abstract
Abstract
Background
Recent evidence demonstrated an increasing trend for acute myocardial infarction (MI) incidence in young females globally. Identification of distinct clinical comorbidity patterns in this population may allow more precise therapy and improvement in clinical care.
Purpose
This study was designed to identify specific comorbidity patterns and to examine their associations with in-hospital outcomes in female ST-Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) patients under 55 years of age based on the China Chest Pain Center (CCPC) Database.
Methods
From March 7, 2017, to December 29, a total of 267,405 STEMI patients (66,568 females, 24.9%) were admitted to CCPC. Comorbidity patterns were derived among 6,024 female patients (48.5±5.6 years old) under 55 years of age, using hierarchical clustering applied to 15 medical conditions/histories. The study outcome was defined as the composite of in-hospital adverse events (death, new-onset/worsening heart failure, mechanical complications, recurrent MI, and cerebral ischemic stroke). Associations between multimorbidity patterns and clinical outcomes were evaluated by multivariable-adjusted logistic regression models.
Results
Three comorbidity patterns were derived based on hierarchical clustering, including P1 (histories of hypertension, cerebrovascular disease, heart failure and coronary artery disease), P2 (histories peripheral arterial disease, atrial fibrillation, thyroid dysfunction, anemia, chronic kidney disease, cerebrovascular disease and peptic ulcer) and P3 (obesity, histories of hyperlipidemia, diabetes and smoking, family history of cardiovascular diseases). After adjustment for age, admission levels of systolic blood pressure and heart rate, receiving reperfusion treatment or not, and medical therapies in-hospital (antiplatelet drugs, statins, β-blockers and anticoagulants), compared with participants without multimorbidity, P1 (odds ratios [OR] = 1.60, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.26 to 2.04) and P3 (OR = 1.45, 95% CI: 1.10 to1.92) demonstrated relatively higher risks for in-hospital composite outcomes. Compared with patients without comorbidity patterns, the clustering of the above comorbidity patterns dose-dependently augmented the risks for in-hospital composite outcomes, from any one pattern (OR = 1.49, 95% CI: 1.23 to1.81), to any two patterns (OR = 2.46, 95% CI: 1.82 to 3.34) and to three patterns (OR = 4.51, 95% CI: 1.12 to 18.16).
Conclusion
In a nationwide STEMI registry, our results provided the proof-of-concept evidence that specific comorbidity patterns of young female STEMI were associated with differential in-hospital outcomes. Further work is needed to validate the utility and values in decision making of these multimorbidity patterns for appropriate management strategies in young female STEMI patients.

Body mass index from the RE-LY trial: further evidence of the obesity paradox. Eur Heart J 2022. [DOI: 10.1093/eurheartj/ehac544.629] [Citation(s) in RCA: 0] [Impact Index Per Article: 0] [Reference Citation Analysis] [Abstract] [Track Full Text] [Journal Information] [Submit a Manuscript] [Subscribe] [Scholar Register] [Indexed: 11/13/2022] Open
Abstract
Abstract
Background
The obesity paradox has been reported in 3 post-hoc analyses evaluating the direct oral anticoagulants (DOAC) against warfarin (W): apixaban (ARISTOTLE), rivaroxaban (ROCKET), and edoxaban (ENGAGE-AF).
Purpose
To evaluate the obesity paradox in a post-hoc analysis of the RE-LY trial, comparing dabigatran 110 mg BID (D110), 150 mg BID (D150), and W by body mass index (BMI).
Methods
Baseline characteristics were evaluated using World Health Organization (WHO) criteria of overweight and obese (BMI ≥25 kg/m2) and under and normal weight (BMI <25 kg/m2). Stroke and systemic embolism, ischemic stroke, major bleeding, mortality, and intracranial hemorrhage were evaluated using BMI as a continuous variable and by the WHO criteria using a cox proportional hazard model.
Results
BMI was available in 99.9% of patients randomized; 74% had a BMI ≥25. At baseline, patients with a BMI ≥25 were younger (70.9 vs 73.1, p<0.001) and had fewer prior strokes (11.5% vs 15.6%, p<0.001), but higher mean creatinine clearance (78.3 vs 57.0, p<0.001) and rates of diabetes (25.8% vs 16.1%, p<0.001) (Table 1). Independent of drug assignment, patients with a BMI ≥25 had lower rates of stroke and systemic embolism (HR 0.65 [95% CI 0.54–0.79], p<0.001), ischemic stroke (0.75 [95% CI 0.60, 0.94], p=0.01), major bleeding (HR 0.79 [95% CI 0.69,0.89], p<0.001), mortality (HR 0.60 [95% CI 0.53, 0.67], p<0.001) and intracranial hemorrhage (HR 0.53 [95% CI 0.38, 0.73], p<0.001) compared to those with a BMI <25. Using BMI as a continuous variable combining all outcomes at 3 years, endpoint rates declined as BMI approached 25 in all 3 treatment groups. The exceptions were intracranial hemorrhage for D110 and D150 and stroke in D150 patients, where rates were low independent of BMI. No significant interaction between BMI and treatment was observed in individual outcomes except for the D110 vs. D150 comparison for major bleeding, in favor of D110 for patients with BMI ≥25 (HR 0.77 [95% CI 0.65, 0.91] and HR 1.12 [95% CI 0.86, 1.47], interaction p=0.0190).
Conclusions
In RE-LY, independent of drug assignment, patients with a higher BMI had improved outcomes, demonstrating the obesity paradox. As BMI increased towards 25, outcome rates improved except for intracranial hemorrhage rates for both D110 and D150 and ischemic stroke rates for D150, which were low independent of BMI. Patients treated with D110 with a BMI ≥25 kg/m2 had significantly lower rates of bleeding compared to D150.

Transcription factor MdLSD1 negatively regulates α-farnesene biosynthesis in apple-fruit skin tissue. PLANT BIOLOGY (STUTTGART, GERMANY) 2022; 24:1076-1083. Abstract
α-Farnesene is a sesquiterpene present in plants. It was first discovered in apples. It plays an important role in the plant defence response and is considered a key factor in the occurrence of superficial scald. The gene encoding α-farnesene synthase, which is the last key enzyme in the biosynthetic pathway of α-farnesene in apple fruit, has become the primary target enzyme for controlling the genetic manipulation of α-farnesene biosynthesis. In this study, the yeast one-hybrid assay and the dual luciferase assay were used to ascertain the relationship between MdLSD1 and MdAFS. Real-time PCR was used to analyse the molecular mechanism underlying the regulation of MdAFS by MdLSD1. Our results revealed that transcription factor MdLSD1, which is closely related to programmed cell death in apple fruit tissues, binds to MdAFS. Transient transformation of apple skin with vectors overexpressing MdLSD1 showed that the gene negatively regulates MdAFS. Overall, we suggest that MdLSD1 negatively regulates MdAFS. Our results are of great significance for future research on the transcriptional regulation of the α-farnesene synthase gene and provide a new direction for exploring the specific mechanism of programmed cell death involved in superficial-scald incidence.

[Real-world clinical data analysis of PARPi as first-line maintenance therapy in newly diagnosed epithelial ovarian cancer patients]. ZHONGHUA FU CHAN KE ZA ZHI 2022; 57:641-652. [PMID: 36177575 DOI: 10.3760/cma.j.cn112141-20220728-00490] [Citation(s) in RCA: 0] [Impact Index Per Article: 0] [Reference Citation Analysis] [Abstract] [MESH Headings] [Subscribe] [Scholar Register] [Indexed: 06/16/2023]
Abstract
Objective: The real-world clinical data of patients with newly diagnosed ovarian cancer (including fallopian tube cancer and primary peritoneal cancer) who received first-line maintenance therapy with poly adenosine diphosphate ribose polymerase inhibitor (PARPi) were retrospectively analyzed, and the prognostic factors were preliminarily explored. Methods: (1) The clinicopathological data and follow-up data of ovarian cancer patients treated with PARPi first-line maintenance therapy from August 2018 (PARPi was launched in China) to December 31, 2021 in Sichuan Cancer Hospital were collected (real-world clinical data). (2) According to the different types of PARPi, real-world clinical data were divided into olaparib group and niraparib group, which were respectively compared with the inclusion and exclusion criteria of representative domestic and foreign phase Ⅲ randomized controlled trials (RCT), including olaparib as first-line maintenance therapy for advanced ovarian cancer patients with BRCA1/2 gene mutation (SOLO-1 study), niraparib as first-line maintenance therapy (PRIMA study), and niraparib as first-line maintenance therapy for Chinese advanced ovarian cancer patients (PRIME study). (3) The prognosis of the two groups and the prognostic factors were analyzed. Results: (1) A total of 83 patients were included in this study, with a median age of 51 years (47-57 years), including 75 cases of ovarian cancer, 5 cases of fallopian tube cancer, and 3 cases of primary peritoneal cancer; 5 cases of stage Ⅰ, 9 cases of stage Ⅱ, 55 cases of stage Ⅲ, 12 cases of stage Ⅳ, and 2 cases of unknown stage; neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT) was performed in 40 cases and non-NACT in 43 cases; 62 cases had no visible residual lesion after surgery (R0), 9 cases had residual disease lesions <1 cm (R1), 8 cases had residual disease lesions ≥1 cm (R2), and 4 cases with unknown postoperative residual disease. Thirty-two cases had PARPi treatment interruption, 40 cases had PARPi reduction, and 1 case terminated treatment due to acute leukemia. Of the 83 patients, 35 were in the olaparib group and 48 were in the niraparib group. The proportion of patients with high-grade serous carcinoma (100% and 75%, respectively) and the proportion of BRCA mutant patients (91% and 10%, respectively) in the olaparib group were higher than those in the niraparib group (all P<0.01). (2) Compared with the inclusion and exclusion criteria of the SOLO-1 study, the olaparib group had only 60% (21/35) coincidence rate; compared with the inclusion and exclusion criteria of PRIMA and PRIME studies, the coincidence rates of niraparib group were only 31% (15/48) and 69% (33/48). The most common reasons for non-compliance were number of chemotherapy courses, histopathological type, and surgical pathological stage. (3) Of the 83 cases received first-line maintenance therapy with PARPi, the median follow-up was 15.9 months (11.3-22.9 months), the median progression-free survival (PFS) was 29.7 months (95%CI: 25.9-33.6 months), and the median overall survival was 49.8 months (95%CI: 47.4-52.2 months). Univariate analysis showed that unilateral or bilateral ovarian cancer, efficacy after platinum-containing chemotherapy, presence or absence of measurable lesions at the end of chemotherapy, and total number of chemotherapy courses were significantly associated with PFS (all P<0.05). Multivariate analysis showed that unilateral or bilateral ovarian cancer, total number of chemotherapy courses, and efficacy after platinum-containing chemotherapy were independent factors affecting PFS in stage Ⅱ-Ⅳ patients with PARPi first-line maintenance therapy (all P<0.05). Conclusions: Unilateral ovarian cancer, the total number of chemotherapy courses no more than 9, and achieving complete response after platinum-containing chemotherapy before maintenance therapy are independent influencing factors of PFS benefit in patients with PARPi first-line maintenance therapy. Due to the large differences between the patients in real clinical practice and the research subjects of phase Ⅲ RCT, the results of representative retrospective studies still have important clinical reference significance.

Abstract
Based on 10 billion J/ψ events collected at the BESIII experiment, a search for CP violation in Λ decay is performed in the difference between CP-odd decay parameters α_{-} for Λ→pπ^{-} and α_{+} for Λ[over ¯]→p[over ¯]π^{+} by using the process e^{+}e^{-}→J/ψ→ΛΛ[over ¯]. With a five-dimensional fit to the full angular distributions of the daughter baryon, the most precise values for the decay parameters are determined to be α_{-}=0.7519±0.0036±0.0024 and α_{+}=-0.7559±0.0036±0.0030, respectively. The Λ and Λ[over ¯] averaged value of the decay parameter is extracted to be α_{avg}=0.7542±0.0010±0.0024 with unprecedented accuracy. The CP asymmetry A_{CP}=(α_{-}+α_{+})/(α_{-}-α_{+}) is determined to be -0.0025±0.0046±0.0012, which is one of the most precise measurements in the baryon sector. The reported results for the decay parameter will play an important role in the studies of the polarizations and CP violations for the strange, charmed and beauty baryons.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the effects of AZD9291 on the proliferation and migration of nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells. METHODS Nasopharyngeal carcinoma HNE1 and CNE2Z cells were treated with AZD9291 at the doses of 0.5, 1, 2, 4, and 8 μmol/L and at the doses of 1, 2, 4, 8, and 16 μmol/L, respectively. Cell survival was measured using CCK8 assay, and proliferation inhibition of the cells after AZD9291 treatment was examined with colony-forming assay; the cell repair and migration abilities were determined using scratch assay and Transwell experiment. The expressions of EGFR-related signaling proteins and migration-related proteins were detected using Western blotting. RESULTS The results of CCK8 assay and colonyforming assay showed that AZD9291 significantly inhibited the viability and proliferation of both HNE1 and CNE2Z cells (P < 0.01). AZD9291 treatment also attenuated the migration ability of HNE1 and CNE2Z cells (P < 0.01). Western blotting showed that, as the concentration of AZD9291 increased, the expression levels of the proteins involved in the PI3K-AKT-mTOR signaling pathway were lowered progressively (P < 0.01), resulting in inhibition of migration of HNE1 and CNE2Z cells (P < 0.01). CONCLUSION AZD9291 suppresses proliferation and attenuates repair and migration capacities of nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells by inhibiting the EGFR/PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway, suggesting the potential value of AZD9291 in the treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.

Abstract
The present paper investigates the impact behaviour of both pristine carbon-fibre-reinforced-plastic (CFRP) composite laminates and repaired CFRP laminates. For the patch-repaired CFRP specimen, the pristine CFRP panel specimen has been damaged by cutting out a central disc of the CFRP material and then repaired using an adhesively bonded patch of CFRP to cover the hole. Drop-weight, impact tests are performed on these two types of specimens and a numerical elastic-plastic, three-dimensional damage model is developed and employed to simulate the impact behaviour of both types of specimen. This numerical model is meso-scale in nature and assumes that cracks initiate in the CFRP at a nano-scale, in the matrix around fibres, and trigger sub-micrometre intralaminar matrix cracks during the impact event. These localized regions of intralaminar cracking then lead to interlaminar, i.e. delamination, cracking between the neighbouring plies which possess different fibre orientations. These meso-scale, intralaminar and interlaminar, damage processes are modelled using the numerical finite-element analysis model with each individual ply treated as a continuum. Good agreement is found between the results from the experimental studies and the predictions from the numerical simulations. This article is part of the theme issue 'Nanocracks in nature and industry'.

Abstract
Objective: To construct a multi-state Markov model and analyze the disease outcomes and its influencing factors in HIV infected individuals receiving antiretroviral therapy. Methods: A retrospective cohort analysis was conducted in HIV infected individuals receiving antiretroviral therapy in Luzhou of Sichuan province from 2010 to 2021. The disease status was divided into CD4+T lymphocytes (CD4) counts >500 cells/μl, 350-500 cells/μl, 200-349 cells/μl, ≤199 cells/μl and death indicated by S1-S5 in turn. A reversible continuous-time discrete-state multi-state Markov model was constructed for the analysis of disease progression features. Results: A total of 7 542 HIV infected individuals receiving antiretroviral therapy were included, and the median age (Q1, Q3) was 53.4 (41.2, 64.5) years old. The transition intensity of S3→S2 was higher. During follow-up, the transition probability of S4→S5 increased gradually. Influencing factors analysis of disease outcomes in HIV infected individuals receiving antiretroviral therapy showed that compared with individuals 15-24 years old, the transition intensities of S2→S1, S3→S2 and S4→S3 were lower and the transition intensity of S3→S4 was higher in individuals ≥45 years old. Compared with single individuals, the transition intensities of S3→S2 and S4→S3 were higher and the transition intensities of S3→S4 and S4→S5 were lower in married individuals. The transition intensity of S1→S2 was higher in individuals with baseline CD4 counts ≤500 cells/μl than in individuals with baseline CD4 counts >500 cells/μl. The transition intensity of S3→S4 in individuals diagnosed during 2011-2015 was lower than that in individuals diagnosed in 2010 and before. Conclusions: HIV infected individuals receiving antiretroviral therapy tended to shift to the previous disease status, suggesting that antiretroviral therapy was conducive to immune reconstitution. Older age (≥45 years old), being married, low baseline CD4 counts and being diagnosed in 2010 and before were the risk factors for disease progression.

Abstract
Career decision-making self-efficacy (CDMSE) is important for college students' choice of career, especially during the current period of global economic downturn caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. We investigated the predictive effect of family social class on the CDMSE of college students.
Participants were 838 college students from China, who completed measures of subjective socioeconomic status, self-esteem, belief in a just world, and CDMSE. The results show that family social class predicted the CDMSE of college students not only directly, but also indirectly through the
separate mediating roles of belief in a just world and self-esteem, and through the chain mediating effect of belief in a just world followed by self-esteem. We have provided empirical evidence that could be useful for college teachers who offer students psychological counseling for their
careers.

Abstract
As a key regulatory element of gene differential expression, enhancer plays a crucial role in craniomaxillofacial development through regulating the spatiotemporal expression of target genes to promote tissue-specific differentiation. With the development of CRISPR and chromosome conformation capture technique, the function of enhancer and its regulatory mechanism has been explored in depth. This paper gave a systematic review on the mechanism of enhancer regulating target gene expression and the role of enhancer in oral craniofacial development and malformation.

Evidence for a Neutral Near-Threshold Structure in the K_{S}^{0} Recoil-Mass Spectra in e^{+}e^{-}→K_{S}^{0}D_{s}^{+}D^{*-} and e^{+}e^{-}→K_{S}^{0}D_{s}^{*+}D^{-}. Abstract
We study the processes e^{+}e^{-}→K_{S}^{0}D_{s}^{+}D^{*-} and e^{+}e^{-}→K_{S}^{0}D_{s}^{*+}D^{-}, as well as their charge conjugated processes, at five center-of-mass energies between 4.628 and 4.699 GeV, using data samples corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.8 fb^{-1} collected by the BESIII detector at the BEPCII storage ring. Based on a partial reconstruction technique, we find evidence of a structure near the thresholds for D_{s}^{+}D^{*-} and D_{s}^{*+}D^{-} production in the K_{S}^{0} recoil-mass spectrum, which we refer to as the Z_{cs}(3985)^{0}. Fitting with a Breit-Wigner line shape, we find the mass of the structure to be (3992.2±1.7±1.6) MeV/c^{2} and the width to be (7.7_{-3.8}^{+4.1}±4.3) MeV, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. The significance of the Z_{cs}(3985)^{0} signal is found to be 4.6σ including both the statistical and systematic uncertainty. We report the Born cross section multiplied by the branching fraction at different energy points. The mass of the Z_{cs}(3985)^{0} is close to that of the Z_{cs}(3985)^{+}. Assuming SU(3) symmetry, the cross section of the neutral channel is consistent with that of the charged one. Hence, we conclude that the Z_{cs}(3985)^{0} is the isospin partner of the Z_{cs}(3985)^{+}.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the clinicopathological, molecular genetic, immunohistochemical and prognostic features of spinal solitary fibrous tumor (SFT). Methods: The clinical data of 12 cases of spinal SFT in Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital, Affiliated to Tsinghua University, diagnosed from January 2015 to December 2021 were collected and reclassified. The clinical data, histopathology, immunohistochemistry and molecular genetics were analyzed. Follow-up and related literature reviews were conducted. Results: Among the 12 patients, there were 5 males and 7 females; the age ranged from 31 to 73 years, with a median age of 50.5 years. All 12 cases were primary tumors, including 4 cases diagnosed at the first time and 8 recurrent cases. Among the 12 cases, 8 were WHO grade 1, 3 were WHO grade 2, and 1 was WHO grade 3. Microscopically, the spinal SFT appeared as a spindle cell tumor, the stroma was rich in many thin-walled blood vessels with various histological features such as cell morphology and necrosis according to the different tumor grade. All (12/12) of the cases expressed vimentin and STAT6 (diffuse and strong nuclear stain), 11 cases (11/12) expressed both CD34 and bcl-2, and 7 cases (7/12) expressed CD99. Next-generation sequencing showed that 12 (12/12) of the patients had NAB2-STAT6 gene fusion. The 12 patients were followed up for 6 to 80 months. There were no recurrences or metastases in the 4 first cases after operation. Among the 8 recurrent cases, 2 of the patients relapsed and 2 died. Conclusions: Spinal SFT is rare and has a high recurrence tendency. Many aspects need to be considered in the diagnosis process. STAT6 is a relatively specific marker for the diagnosis of this tumor. Complete surgical resection is the preferred treatment while postoperative radiotherapy is recommended to reduce tumor recurrence.

Final results of the global and Asia cohorts of KAMILLA, a phase IIIB safety trial of trastuzumab emtansine in patients with HER2-positive advanced breast cancer. ESMO Open 2022; 7:100561. [PMID: 36084395 PMCID: PMC9588895 DOI: 10.1016/j.esmoop.2022.100561] [Citation(s) in RCA: 0] [Impact Index Per Article: 0] [Reference Citation Analysis] [Abstract] [Key Words] [MESH Headings] [Track Full Text] [Download PDF] [Figures] [Journal Information] [Subscribe] [Scholar Register] [Received: 02/25/2022] [Revised: 06/21/2022] [Accepted: 07/11/2022] [Indexed: 11/29/2022] Open
Abstract
Background KAMILLA is a single-arm safety study of trastuzumab emtansine (T-DM1) in patients with human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-positive advanced breast cancer (BC; NCT01702571). We report the final analysis of cohort 2 (Asia) within the context of published cohort 1 (Global) findings. Methods Patients had HER2-positive, locally advanced, or metastatic BC progressing after chemotherapy and anti-HER2 therapy or ≤6 months after adjuvant therapy. The primary objective was to further evaluate T-DM1 (3.6 mg/kg, administered intravenously every 3 weeks) safety/tolerability, including the following adverse events of primary interest (AEPIs): grade ≥3 AEPIs (hepatic events, allergic reactions, thrombocytopenia, hemorrhage events), all grade ≥3 treatment-related AEs, and all-grade pneumonitis. Results KAMILLA enrolled 2185 patients (cohort 1, n = 2003; cohort 2, n = 182) as of 31 July 2019. Of these, 2002 and 181 per cohort were treated and included in the safety population. Approximately 70% of patients had two or more previous treatment lines in the metastatic setting. Median T-DM1 exposure was 5.6 and 5.0 months per cohort; median follow-up was 20.6 and 15.1 months. The overall AEPI rate was higher in cohort 2 (93/181; 51.4%) versus cohort 1 (462/2002; 23.1%), mostly driven by a higher grade ≥3 thrombocytopenia rate in cohort 2. In cohort 2, grade ≥3 thrombocytopenia was not associated with grade ≥3 hemorrhagic events and most (128/138) fully resolved. Grade ≥3 treatment-related AEPI rates were 18.4% (cohort 1) and 48.6% (cohort 2), the latter mainly due to thrombocytopenia. Any-grade pneumonitis rates were 1.0% and 2.2%. No new safety signals were identified. Median (95% confidence interval) progression-free survival was 6.8 months (5.8-7.6 months) and 5.7 months (5.5-7.0 months) in cohorts 1 and 2, respectively; median overall survival was 27.2 months (25.5-28.7 months) and 29.5 months (21.1 months to non-estimable). In both cohorts, median progression-free survival and overall survival decreased with increasing prior therapy lines. Conclusions Cohort 2 results aligned with previous findings in Asian patients, supporting the manageable safety profile and use of T-DM1 in advanced BC. KAMILLA safety results for cohorts 1 (global; n = 2002) and 2 (Asia; n = 181) aligned with results from prior T-DM1 mBC trials. The overall rate of adverse events of primary interest (AEPIs) was higher in cohort 2 (51.4%) versus cohort 1 (23.1%). The higher AEPI rate was mostly due to a higher grade ≥3 thrombocytopenia event rate in cohort 2, most of which resolved. Median PFS and OS were similar for both cohorts, and decreased with increasing prior therapy lines. The manageable safety profile and efficacy of T-DM1 further support its favorable benefit/risk balance.

Abstract
Chronic pain associated with temporomandibular disorders (TMDs) may reflect muscle mechanoreceptor afferent barrage and dysregulated sensory processing. This observational study tested for associations between Characteristic Pain Intensity (CPI), physical symptoms (Patient Health Questionnaire-15 [PHQ-15]), and cumulative jaw muscle motor load (mV*s). In accordance with institutional review board oversight and Strengthening the Reporting of Observational Studies in Epidemiology guidelines, adult subjects gave informed consent and were identified via Diagnostic Criteria for TMD (DC-TMD) examination and research protocols. Subjects were assigned to ±Pain groups using DC-TMD criteria for myalgia. CPI scores characterized pain intensity. PHQ-15 scores were surrogate measures of dysregulated sensory processing. Laboratory tests were performed to quantify masseter and temporalis muscle activities (mV) per bite force (N) for each subject. In their natural environments, subjects recorded day- and nighttime electromyography from which cumulative jaw muscle motor loads (mV*s) were determined for activities consistent with bite forces of >1 to ≤2 and >2 to ≤5 N. Data were assessed using univariate analysis of variance, simple effects tests, K-means cluster classification, and 3-dimensional regression analyses. Of 242 individuals screened, 144 enrolled, and 125 with complete data from study protocols, there were 35 females and 15 males for +Pain and 35 females and 40 males for -Pain. Subjects produced 324 daytime and 341 nighttime recordings of average duration 6.9 ± 1.7 and 7.6 ± 1.7 h, respectively. Overall, +Pain compared to -Pain subjects had significantly higher (all P ≤ 0.002) CPI and PHQ-15 scores. Cumulative jaw muscle motor loads showed significant between-subject effects for time, diagnostic group, and sex (all P < 0.003), where motor loads tended to be higher for daytime versus nighttime, +Pain versus -Pain groups, and males versus females. Two clusters were identified, and regression relations showed associations of low-magnitude daytime masseter motor load, PHQ-15, and CPI scores for cluster 1 (n = 105, R2 = 0.44) and cluster 2 (n = 18, R2 = 0.80). Furthermore, these regression relations showed thresholds of motor load and PHQ-15 scores, above which there were nonlinear increases in reported pain.

Evidence for Nonlinear Gluon Effects in QCD and Their Mass Number Dependence at STAR. PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2022; 129:092501. Abstract
The STAR Collaboration reports measurements of back-to-back azimuthal correlations of di-π^{0}s produced at forward pseudorapidities (2.6<η<4.0) in p+p, p+Al, and p+Au collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 200 GeV. We observe a clear suppression of the correlated yields of back-to-back π^{0} pairs in p+Al and p+Au collisions compared to the p+p data. The observed suppression of back-to-back pairs as a function of transverse momentum suggests nonlinear gluon dynamics arising at high parton densities. The larger suppression found in p+Au relative to p+Al collisions exhibits a dependence of the saturation scale Q_{s}^{2} on the mass number A. A linear scaling of the suppression with A^{1/3} is observed with a slope of -0.09±0.01.

Abstract
The first study of the angular distribution of μ^{+}μ^{-} pairs produced in the forward rapidity region via the Drell-Yan reaction pp→γ^{*}/Z+X→ℓ^{+}ℓ^{-}+X is presented, using data collected with the LHCb detector at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.1 fb^{-1}. The coefficients of the five leading terms in the angular distribution are determined as a function of the dimuon transverse momentum and rapidity. The results are compared to various theoretical predictions of the Z-boson production mechanism and can also be used to probe transverse-momentum-dependent parton distributions within the proton.

Influence of sire fertility status on conceptus-induced transcriptomic response of the bovine endometrium. Front Cell Dev Biol 2022; 10:950443. Abstract
The aim was to examine the effect of sire fertility status on conceptus-induced changes in the bovine endometrial transcriptome. To generate elongated conceptuses, Day 7 blastocysts produced in vitro using frozen-thawed sperm from Holstein Friesian bulls (3 High fertility, HF and 3 Low fertility, LF) were transferred in groups of 5–10 into synchronized heifers (n = 7 heifers per bull) and recovered following slaughter on Day 15. Day 15 endometrial explants recovered from the uterine horn ipsilateral to the corpus luteum were recovered from synchronized cyclic heifers (n = 4). Explants from each heifer were co-cultured for 6 h in RPMI medium alone (Control) or with 100 ng/ml ovine recombinant interferon tau (IFNT) or with a single conceptus from each HF or LF bull. After 6 h, explants were snap frozen and stored at −80°C. Extracted mRNA was subjected to RNA-seq and the resulting data were analyzed with R software. The numbers of differentially expressed genes (DEG; FDR<0.05) were: HF vs. Control: 956; LF vs. Control: 1021; IFNT vs. Control: 1301; HF vs. LF: 2. Unsurprisingly, the majority of DEG (658) were common to all comparisons and were related to IFNT-induced changes in the endometrium. Prior to applying the adjusted p-value, there were 700 DEG between HF and LF, with 191 and 509 genes more expressed in HF or LF, respectively (p < 0.05). Overrepresentation analysis of KEGG pathways (FDR<0.05), revealed that DEG with higher expression in LF were involved in cell cycle and proteolysis, while those upregulated DEG by HF conceptuses were strongly associated with immune process pathways, such as TNF, NF-kappa B, cytokine-cytokine receptor interaction, and TLR signaling. These pathways were also enriched by DEG upregulated by IFNT compared to the Control. Furthermore, only the HF, and not the LF group, affected the expression of most genes in these pathways (p < 0.05) according to a negative binomial regression model. Finally, a weighted gene co-expression network analysis revealed two clusters of co-expressed genes associated with the HF conceptuses (p < 0.05), which were also enriched for the aforementioned pathways. In conclusion, HF conceptuses, similar to IFNT treatment, stimulated multiple pathways involved in immune response, which were apparently not affected by LF conceptuses.

Abstract
Objective: To analyzes the various occupational health investment and occupational health output of a steel enterprise, and propose a reasonable occupational health investment plan for this enterprise. Methods: In march 2016, various occupational health input and output data of various branches of an iron and steel company in 2015 were collected, and the efficiency of occupational health inputs and outputs of each branch was evaluated using data envelopment analysis (DEA) , and the branches with non-optimal efficiency were adjusted to propose a reasonable occupational health investment plan. Results: Among the branch plants investigated by this steel company, the occupational health input-output efficiency values of ironmaking north plant, power plant, hot rolling plant and stainless steel plant were 1, while the occupational health input-output efficiency of gas making plant, cold rolling plant, metallurgical furnace charge plant, coking plant, ironmaking south plant and long product plant were not the best, and the cold rolling plant has the lowest efficiency value of 0.759. For the cold rolling plant, only the parameters of acid rolling plant satisfy α=1 and s(-)=0, s(+)=0, while the remaining four workshops do not meet. After adjusting the inputs of each part according to the parameters, the occupational health output of the remaining four workshops can reach 1.7044, 2.0238, 1.3152 and 1.2136 times of the current workshop, respectively. Adjustment plans for other branch factories with unreasonable investment structures are also presented in the corresponding tables. Conclusion: The occupational health investment structure of the ironmaking south plant and other branches in this steel enterprise is unreasonable, and the adjustment using data envelopment analysis can maximize the benefits of its occupational health output.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The International Trauma Questionnaire-Child and Adolescent version (ITQ-CA) is a self-report measure that assesses posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and complex PTSD (CPTSD) based on the diagnostic formulation of the 11th version of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-11). This study aimed to provide a Chinese translation and psychometric evaluation of the ITQ-CA using a sample of mental-health service seeking adolescents in Mainland China. METHODS The ITQ-CA was translated and back-translated from English to simplified Chinese and finalized with consensus from an expert panel. Adolescents ages 12-17 were recruited via convenience sampling from an outpatient psychiatric clinic in Mainland China. Participants completed the ITQ-CA; measures of four criterion variables (depression, anxiety, stress, adverse childhood experiences); and the PTSD Checklist for DSM-5 (PCL-5). Construct validity, concurrent validity, and comparison of PTSD caseness between ICD-11 and DSM-5 measures were assessed. RESULTS The final sample consisted of 111 Chinese adolescents (78% female; mean age of 15.23), all diagnosed with a major depressive disorder. Confirmatory factor analysis indicated the two-factor second-order model provided optimal fit. All criterion variables were positively and significant correlated with the six ITQ-CA symptom cluster summed scores. In the present sample, 69 participants (62.16%) met symptom criteria for ICD-PTSD or CPTSD using the ITQ-CA, and 73 participants (65.77%) met caseness for DSM-5 PTSD using the PCL-5. Rates of PTSD symptom cluster endorsement and caseness deriving from both diagnostic systems were comparable. CONCLUSIONS The Chinese ITQ-CA has acceptable psychometric properties and confers additional benefits in identifying complex presentations of trauma-related responses in younger people seeking mental health services.
