Abstract
BACKGROUND Laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) has been carried out as day-case surgery. Current guidelines do not mention the role of drainage after LC. In particular, data stay blank with no prospective study on drainage management when gallbladder perforation (GP) accidentally occurs intraoperatively. METHODS A randomized controlled trial was conducted to compare clinical outcomes of drainage and no drainage after elective day-case LC. Intraoperative GP was recorded. The primary and secondary outcomes were major and minor complications, respectively. RESULTS Two hundred patients were randomized. No major complications occurred in either group. In secondary outcomes, nausea/vomiting, pain, hospital stay, and cost were similar in the drainage group and no drainage group; postoperative fever, WBC, and CRP levels were significantly lower in the no drainage group. GP occurred in 32 patients. Male patients with higher BMI and CRP and abdominal pain within 1 month were more likely to occur GP. Subgroup analysis of GP, primary outcomes, and most secondary outcomes had no difference. Postoperative WBC and CRP were higher in the drainage group. Postoperative fever occurred in 63 patients. Univariate analysis of fever showed that blood loss, drainage, postoperative WBC, CRP, and hospital stay were significant. Multivariable logistic regression analysis demonstrated that drainage was an independent risk factor for fever after LC (OR 3.418, 95% CI 1.392-8.390; p = 0.007). CONCLUSIONS No drainage after elective day-case LC is safe and associated with fewer complications, even in intraoperative GP. The trial proves that drainage is an independent risk factor for postoperative fever. The use of a drain after LC may lead to an unsuccessful day-case procedure by causing fever, elevated CRP, and extended hospital stay (NCT03909360).

Abstract
BACKGROUND Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), characterized by excessive hepatic lipid accumulation, imposes serious challenges on public health worldwide. Breastfeeding has been reported to reduce the risk of NAFLD. Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are bilayer membrane vesicles released from various cells into the extracellular space, participating in multiple life processes. Whether EVs from human milk exert metabolic benefits against NAFLD is worth investigating. METHODS AND RESULTS In this study, the EVs were isolated from human milk collected from healthy mothers and quantified. Functional analyses were performed using the NAFLD mouse model and free fatty acid (FFA)-stimulated mouse primary hepatocytes. The results showed that human milk-derived EVs could effectively alleviate high fat diet-induced hepatic steatosis and insulin resistance in mice with NAFLD via inhibiting lipogenesis and increasing lipolysis. The FFA-induced lipid accumulation was also inhibited in hepatocytes after treatment with human milk-derived EVs. Mechanistically, the human milk derived-EVs cargo (proteins and miRNAs), which linked to lipid metabolism, may be responsible for these beneficial effects. CONCLUSION The findings of this study highlighted the therapeutic benefits of human milk-derived EVs and provided a new strategy for NAFLD treatment.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The aim of the study was to analyse the effects of dynamic contrast enhanced (DCE)-MRI on transitional-zone prostate cancer (tzPCa) and clinically significant transitional-zone prostate cancer (cs-tzPCa) in Prostate Imaging Reporting and Data System (PI-RADS) Version 2.1. PATIENTS AND METHODS The diagnostic efficiencies of T2-weighted imaging (T2WI) + diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI), T2WI + dynamic contrast-enhancement (DCE), and T2WI + DWI + DCE in tzPCa and cs-tzPCa were compared using the score of ≥ 4 as the positive threshold and prostate biopsy as the reference standard. RESULTS A total of 425 prostate cases were included in the study: 203 cases in the tzPCa group, and 146 in the cs-tzPCa group. The three sequence combinations had the similar areas under the curves in diagnosing tzPCa and cs-tzPCa (all P < 0.05). The sensitivity of T2WI + DCE and T2WI + DWI + DCE (84.7% and 85.7% for tzPCa; 88.4% and 89.7% for cs-tzPCa, respectively) in diagnosing tzPCa and cs-tzPCa was significantly greater than that of T2WI + DWI (79.3% for tzPCa; 82.9% for cs-tzPCa). The specificity of T2WI + DWI (86.5% for tzPCa; 74.9% for cs-tzPCa) were significantly greater than those of T2WI + DCE and T2WI + DWI + DCE (68.0% and 68.5% for tzPCa; 59.1% and 59.5% for cs-tzPCa, respectively) (all P > 0.05). The diagnostic efficacies of T2WI + DCE and T2WI + DWI + DCE had no significant differences (all P < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS DCE can improve the sensitivity of diagnosis for tzPCa and cs-tzPCa, and it is useful for small PCa lesion diagnosis.

Abstract
BACKGROUND AND AIMS The impact of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) on the treatment outcome of chronic hepatitis B (CHB) is undefined and deserves an in-depth investigation. METHODS Histologically-proven CHB receiving first-line antiviral regimens as initial therapy was enrolled and grouped by the concurrence of NAFLD, and followed up at six monthly intervals. Therapeutic response related data were recorded and compared at multiple time points. Kaplan-Meier and Cox regression analyses were utilized to estimate the impact of NAFLD on complete virological response (CVR). RESULTS We enrolled 267 patients (CHB: 164; CHB with NAFLD: 103) with comparable follow-up durations. They were also comparable in baseline HBV DNA levels and HBeAg positivity. Patients with concomitant NAFLD showed less significant decline in HBV DNA, qHBsAg, pgRNA, and liver enzyme levels over time; moreover, their cumulative incidences of CVR were significantly lower and that of low-level viremia (LLV) were significantly higher at 6, 12, 18, 24 months. First CVR of CHB was delayed with the presence NAFLD (11.0 vs. 7.0 months, p<0.001) and further prolonged with higher grade of liver steatosis (Grade 2-3 vs. 1: 13.0 vs. 9.0 months). On multivariate analysis, HBeAg positivity (HR: 0.650, p=0.036), grade of steatosis (G2 [HR: 0.447, p=0.004]; G3 [HR: 0.085, p=0.002]) and HBV DNA (log10 IU/mL) (HR: 0.687, p<0.001) were significantly associated with delayed CVR, whereas grade of necroinflammation (HR: 1. 758, p<0.001) accelerated the CVR. CONCLUSIONS In CHB patients receiving initial antiviral therapy, NAFLD was associated with higher levels of HBV DNA, pgRNA, and liver enzymes, and higher incidence of LLV and delayed CVR.

Abstract
To compare spectacle lenses with highly aspherical lenslets (HAL) versus defocus incorporated multiple segments (DIMS) on myopia progression control in 1 year. This retrospective cohort study involved data from children prescribed HAL or DIMS spectacle lenses in Guangzhou Aier Eye Hospital, China. To address the discrepancy that some children followed up at less than or more than 1 year, the standardized 1-year spherical equivalent refraction (SER) and axial length (AL) changes from baseline were calculated. The mean differences in the changes between the two groups were compared with linear multivariate regression models. Age, sex, baseline SER/AL, and treatment were included in the models. A total of 257 children who qualified for the inclusion criteria were included for the analyses (193 in the HAL group and 64 in the DIMS group). After controlling baseline variates, the adjusted mean (standard error, SE) of the standardized 1-year changes in SER for HAL and DIMS spectacle lens users were - 0.34 (0.04) D and - 0.63 (0.07) D, respectively. HAL spectacle lenses reduced myopia progression by 0.29 D (95% confidence interval [CI] 0.13 to 0.44 D) at 1 year compared to DIMS lenses. Accordingly, the adjusted mean (SE) ALs increased by 0.17 (0.02) and 0.28 (0.04) mm for children wearing HAL lenses and DIMS lenses, respectively. HAL users had 0.11 mm less AL elongation (95% CI - 0.20 to - 0.02 mm) than DIMS users. Age at baseline was significantly associated with AL elongation. Chinese children wearing spectacle lenses designed with HAL had less myopia progression and axial elongation than those wearing spectacle lenses designed with DIMS.

Abstract
Recycling spent lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cathodes in an economically sustainable way remains a great challenge due to their low-value elemental composition. Thus, both low-cost technology together with a high-value product are critical for the recovery of the LFP materials. In this study, the commercially mature ion-exchange (IX) method was explored to recover Li from LFP material for the first time. The feasibility of Li-H and Li-K IX reactions using strong and weak acid cation exchange resins was systematically investigated from the thermodynamic and kinetic perspectives. Different organic and inorganic acids were explored to obtain the feeding solution. The IX efficiency was greatly affected by the pH of the feeding solutions. Oxalic acid leaching solution with mild pH value and low iron impurity were determined to be the optimal feeding solution for IX reaction. The kinetics of IX and regeneration reaction were fast, and the resins can be reused several times without loss of IX capacity. Along with the P element remaining in the leaching solution, the Li-K IX reaction delivered a potential product of multi-elemental fertilizer. This simple and economical technology provides a practical recycling strategy for the spent LFP batteries.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Currently, the standard tracing method is to use blue dyes and radioisotope as the tracer for sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB). However, there are variations in the choice of tracer in different countries and regions. Some new tracers are also gradually applied in clinical practice, but there is still a lack of long-term follow-up data to confirm their clinical application value. PATIENTS AND METHODS Clinicopathological and postoperative treatment follow-up data were collected from patients with early-stage cTis-2N0M0 breast cancer who underwent SLNB using a dual-tracer method of ICG combined with MB. Statistical indicators including the identification rate, the number of sentinel lymph nodes (SLNs), regional lymph node recurrence, disease-free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS) were analyzed. RESULTS Among the 1574 patients, SLNs were successfully detected during surgery in 1569 patients, with a detection rate of 99.7%; the median number of SLNs removed was 3. A total of 1531 patients were included in the survival analysis, with a median follow-up of 4.7 (0.5-7.9) years. In total, patients with positive SLNs had a 5-year DFS and OS of 90.6% and 94.7%, respectively. The 5-year DFS and OS of patients with negative SLNs were 95.6% and 97.3%, respectively. The postoperative regional lymph node recurrence rate was 0.7% in patients with negative SLNs. CONCLUSION Indocyanine green combined with methylene blue dual-tracer method is safe and effective in sentinel lymph node biopsy in patients with early breast cancer.

Abstract
Clinical medicine has experienced a rapid development in recent decades, during which therapies targeting specific cellular signaling pathways, or specific cell surface receptors, have been increasingly adopted. While these developments in clinical medicine call for improved precision in diagnosis and treatment monitoring, modern medical imaging methods are restricted mainly to anatomical imaging, lagging behind the requirements of precision medicine. Although positron emission tomography and single photon emission computed tomography have been used clinically for studies of metabolism, their applications have been limited by the exposure risk to ionizing radiation, the subsequent limitation in repeated and longitudinal studies, and the incapability in assessing downstream metabolism. Magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) or spectroscopic imaging (MRSI) are, in theory, capable of assessing molecular activities in vivo, although they are often limited by sensitivity. Here, we review some recent developments in MRS and MRSI of multiple nuclei that have potential as molecular imaging tools in the clinic.

Abstract
Aims To find out a better propaganda and education plan for the popularization of the ground-glass opacities-related (GGO-related) lung cancer screening. Methods and Material The control group took a lung cancer screening knowledge test directly before receiving the health education. By contrast, the experimental group took the same knowledge test after receiving health education. This study designed unimodal and multimodal materials about GGO-related lung cancer. The text and graph were considered unimodal information, while the video was multimodal information. According to the different information forms they were exposed to, the experimental group was further divided into text, graphic, and video groups. An eye-tracking system was performed to record eye-tracking data synchronously. Results Compared with the control group, the knowledge test scores of each experimental group were remarkably improved. Furthermore, the graphic group had a significantly higher correct rate on the No. 7 question, while the video group had the lowest. In terms of saccades, the video group had significantly higher speed and amplitude of saccades than the other two groups. In terms of fixation, the interval duration, total duration of whole fixations, and a number of whole fixations of the graphic group were significantly lower than those of the other two groups, while the video group had the highest values for these variables. Conclusions It was on the unimodal information, such as text and graphics, that people can spend less time and cost to achieve effective acquisition of GGO-related lung cancer screening knowledge.

Abstract
PURPOSE Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is considered as both a vital risk factor and a consequence of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Low total testosterone (TT) is common in men with T2DM, contributing to increased risks of metabolic diseases. This study aimed to investigate the association between TT levels and the prevalence of NAFLD in men with T2DM. METHODS In this cross-sectional study, 1005 men with T2DM were enrolled in National Metabolic Management Center (MMC) of First Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University between January 2017 and August 2021. NAFLD was diagnosed using ultrasound as described by the Chinese Liver Disease Association. Overweight/obesity was defined as body mass index (BMI) ≥ 25 kg/m2 according to WHO BMI classifications. RESULTS Individuals without NAFLD had higher serum TT levels than those with NAFLD. After adjustments for potential confounding factors, the top tertile was significantly associated with lower prevalence of NAFLD compared with the bottom tertile of TT level [odds ratio (OR) 0.303, 95% confidence interval (CI) 0.281-0.713; P < 0.001]. The association between TT with NAFLD in individuals with normal weight (OR 0.175, 95% CI 0.098-0.315; P < 0.001) was stronger than in individuals with overweight/obesity (OR 0.509, 95% CI 0.267-0.971; P = 0.040). There was a significant interaction of TT with overweight/obesity (P for interaction = 0.018 for NAFLD). CONCLUSION Higher serum TT was significantly associated with a lower prevalence of NAFLD in men with T2DM. We found that the relationship of TT and NAFLD was stronger in individuals with non-overweight/obesity.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the related risk factors for systemic embolism (SE) in patients aged≥75 years with non-valvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF). Methods: A case-control study. NVAF patients aged≥75 years who were hospitalized at the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from October 2018 to October 2020 were divided into no SE (n=1 127) and SE (n=433) groups according to the occurrence of SE after NVAF. Multivariate logistic regression was used to analyze SE-related factors in patients with NVAF without anticoagulation treatment. Results: In the multivariate model, the following factors were associated with an increased risk of SE in patients with NVAF: history of AF≥5 years [odds ratio (OR)=2.75, 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.98-3.82, P<0.01], lipoprotein(a)>300 g/L (OR=2.07, 95%CI 1.50-2.84, P<0.01), apolipoprotein (Apo)B>1.2 g/L (OR=1.91, 95%CI 1.25-2.93, P=0.003), left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) of 30%-49% (OR=2.45, 95%CI 1.63-3.69, P<0.01), left atrial diameter>40 mm (OR=1.54, 95%CI 1.16-2.07, P=0.003), and CHA2DS2-VASc score≥3 (OR=15.14, 95%CI 2.05-112.13, P=0.01). ApoAI>1.6 g/L was negatively correlated with the occurrence of SE (OR=0.28, 95%CI 0.15-0.51, P<0.01). Conclusions: History of AF≥5 years, lipoprotein(a)>300 g/L, elevated ApoB, left atrial diameter>40 mm, LVEF of 30%-49%, and CHA2DS2-VASC score≥3 are independent risk factors for SE whereas ApoAI>1.6 g/L is a protective factor against SE in patients with NVAF.

Abstract
Discerning the relationship between sociality and longevity would permit a deeper understanding of how animal life history evolved. Here, we perform a phylogenetic comparative analysis of ~1000 mammalian species on three states of social organization (solitary, pair-living, and group-living) and longevity. We show that group-living species generally live longer than solitary species, and that the transition rate from a short-lived state to a long-lived state is higher in group-living than non-group-living species, altogether supporting the correlated evolution of social organization and longevity. The comparative brain transcriptomes of 94 mammalian species identify 31 genes, hormones and immunity-related pathways broadly involved in the association between social organization and longevity. Further selection features reveal twenty overlapping pathways under selection for both social organization and longevity. These results underscore a molecular basis for the influence of the social organization on longevity.

Objective: To compare the therapeutic effects of optic nerve sheath fenestration (ONSF) and medication on papilledema induced by cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT). Methods: Patients with papilledema induced by CVT in Beijing Tiantan Hospital and Xuanwu Hospital from January 2017 to July 2022 were retrospectively enrolled and were divided into two groups according to the treatment strategies they underwent, with 76 cases (107 eyes) in ONSF group and 35 cases (69 eyes) in medication group. The degree of papilledema was evaluated by the modified Frisén's grading (grade 0-1 was defined as mild, grade 2-3 was moderate, and grade 4-5 was severe edema). The mean defect (MD) of visual field, the degree of papilledema, and the mean retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness in different subgroups were compared between baseline versus 1 month after ONSF or medication. Results: There were 76 cases in ONSF group (26 males and 50 females), and aged (35.3±11.4) years. Meanwhile, there were 35 cases in medication group (22 males and 13 females), and aged (35.2±11.0) years. Compared with baseline, MD were improved in both moderate [(-8.4±6.6) vs (-11.8±8.6) db, P=0.021] and severe [(-8.1±5.3) vs (-11.4±6.9) db, P<0.001] papilledema subgroups after ONSF, while there was an improvement in mild papilledema subgroup [(-1.5±5.3) vs (-3.4±5.1) db, P<0.001] after medication. The papilledema (Frisén's scores) in both ONSF group (P<0.001) and medication group (P=0.010) was improved. Compared with baseline, the mean RNFL decreased in mild [(78.5±13.5) vs (91.0±17.4) μm, P=0.002], moderate [(126.6±67.6) vs (154.8±77.9) μm, P=0.011] and severe [(179.0±70.9) vs (230.6±89.7) μm, P=0.001] papilledema subgroups after ONSF, while the mean RNFL decreased [(142.0±29.3) vs (158.8±22.7) μm, P=0.020] in moderate papilledema subgroup after medication. Conclusions: ONSF might attenuate CVT-mediated papilledema, and improve the visual function in patients with moderate and severe papilledema. Likewise, patients with mild papilledema could also get benefit from medication.

Abstract
Background To investigate the value of amide proton transfer weighted (APTw) imaging combined with modified Dixon fat quantification (mDixon-Quant) imaging in determining the degree of differentiation of cervical squamous carcinoma (CSC) against histopathologic. Methods Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) data were collected from 52 CSC patients. According to histopathologic results, patients were divided into the poorly differentiated group (37 cases) and the well/moderately differentiated group (15 cases). The APTw value by APTw imaging and the fat fraction (FF) and transverse relaxation rate R 2 * values by mDixon-Quant were independently measured by two radiologists. Intra-class correlation coefficients (ICCs) were used to test the consistency of APTw, FF, and R 2 * values measured by the two observers. The Mann-Whitney U test was used to analyze the difference in each parameter between the two groups. Logistic regression analysis was used to assess the association between the degree of differentiation on histopathology and imaging parameters by APTw and mDixon Quant. The ROC curve was used to evaluate the diagnostic efficacy of various parameters and their combination in distinguishing the degree of CSC differentiation on histopathology. The DeLong test was used to access the differences among the area under the ROC curves (AUCs). The Pearson correlation coefficient was used to evaluate the correlation between APTw and mDixon-Quant imaging parameters. Results The APTw means were 2.95 ± 0.78% and 2.05 (1.85, 2.65)% in the poorly and well/moderately differentiated groups, respectively. The R 2 * values were 26.62 (21.99, 33.31)/s and 22.93 ± 6.09/s in the poorly and well/moderately differentiated groups, respectively (P < 0.05). The AUCs of APTw, R 2 * , and their combination were 0.762, 0.686, and 0.843, respectively. The Delong test suggested statistical significance between R 2 * and the combination of APTw and R 2 * . R 2 * values showed a significant correlation with APTw values in the poorly differentiated group. Conclusions APTw combined with mDixon-Quant can be used to efficiently distinguish the differention degrees of CSC diagnosed on histopathology.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Brain metastasis (BM) is a significant risk factor for survival and prognosis in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). While surgical resection and radiotherapy are the primary treatment modalities, the overall prognosis in NSCLC patients with BM remains poor, and all therapies lead to adverse events. East Asian herbal medicine (EAHM) has broad prospects as an adjuvant treatment, but its efficacy and safety remain controversial. We propose to conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis to summarize the clinical efficacy and safety of EAHM for the treatment of NSCLC with BMs and to identify specific herbs that can improve the prognosis. METHODS The PubMed, EMBASE, CENTRAL, Web of Science, CBM, CNKI, Wanfang, VIP, Evidence Reports on Kampo Treatment, ICHUSHI, and Oriental Medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System databases will be searched from their inception to October 2022. Randomized controlled trials will be included. Two authors will evaluate the eligibility and quality of the included trials. The methodological quality will be assessed using the RoB 2 tool, and Stata 16 will be used for data synthesis. Publication bias will be assessed using funnel plots and Egger tests. The GRADE (Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development, and Evaluation) system will evaluate the quality of the synthesized evidence. Further sensitivity analyses will be performed to determine the efficacies of specific herbs in EAHM. DISCUSSION Given there are currently no systematic reviews and meta-analyses of the efficacy of EAHM as a treatment for NSCLC with BMs, a compilation and analysis of the available high-quality clinical research evidence are essential. The results will help establish guidelines for the application of specific herbs as a complementary alternative therapy for BMs in NSCLC. The findings will be published in a peer-reviewed journal. Abstract
Objective: To identify the predisposing factors, clinical characteristics, and risk factors of disease progression to establish a novel predictive survival model and evaluate its application value for hepatitis B virus-related acute-on-chronic liver failure. Methods: 153 cases of HBV-ACLF were selected according to the guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of liver failure (2018 edition) of the Chinese Medical Association Hepatology Branch. Predisposing factors, the basic liver disease stage, therapeutic drugs, clinical characteristics, and factors affecting survival status were analyzed. Cox proportional hazards regression analysis was used to screen prognostic factors and establish a novel predictive survival model. The receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) was used to evaluate predictive value with the Model for End-Stage Liver Disease (MELD) and the Chronic Liver Failure Consortium Acute-on-Chronic Liver Failure score (CLIF-C ACLF). Results: 80.39% (123/153) based on hepatitis B cirrhosis had developed ACLF. HBV-ACLF's main inducing factors were the discontinuation of nucleos(t)ide analogues (NAs) and the application of hepatotoxic drugs, including Chinese patent medicine/Chinese herbal medicine, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, anti-tuberculosis drugs, central nervous system drugs, anti-tumor drugs, etc. 34.64% of cases had an unknown inducement. The most common clinical symptoms at onset were progressive jaundice, poor appetite, and fatigue. The short-term mortality rate was significantly higher in patients complicated with hepatic encephalopathy, upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage, hepatorenal syndrome, and infection (P < 0.05). Lactate dehydrogenase, albumin, the international normalized ratio, the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio, hepatic encephalopathy, and upper gastrointestinal bleeding were the independent predictors for the survival status of patients. The LAINeu model was established. The area under the curve for evaluating the survival of HBV-ACLF was 0.886, which was significantly higher than the MELD and CLIF-C ACLF scores (P < 0.05), and the prognosis was worse when the LAINeu score ≥ -3.75. Conclusion: Discontinuation of NAs and the application of hepatotoxic drugs are common predisposing factors for HBV-ACLF. Hepatic decompensation-related complications and infection accelerate the disease's progression. The LAINeu model can predict patient survival conditions more accurately.

Abstract
Acoustic absorption materials play an important role in eliminating the negative effects of noise. Herein, a polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)-assisted freeze-casting was developed for controllably fabricating reduced graphene oxide wrapped carbon nanofiber (RGO@CNF)/graphene oxide composite aerogel. During the freeze-casting, PVA was used as an icing inhibitor to control the size of ice crystals. While the concentration of PVA increased from 0 to 15 mg ⋅ ml-1 , the average pore size of the aerogel was reduced from 154 to 45 μm. Due to the modulation of the pore size and composition, the propagation path and friction loss for sound were optimized, especially at low frequency. For instance, the normalized sound absorption coefficient of RGO@CNF/GO-10 achieves 0.79 (250-6300 Hz). The sample also exhibits a desirable microwave absorbing property whose maximum reflection loss is -47.3 dB (9.44 GHz, d=3.0 mm). Prospectively, this synthetic strategy can be extended to develop other forms of elastic aerogel with a controlled pore size.

Abstract
In the current global cooperative production mode, the distributed fuzzy flow-shop scheduling problem (DFFSP) has attracted much attention because it takes the uncertain factors in the actual flow-shop scheduling problem into account. This paper investigates a multi-stage hybrid evolutionary algorithm with sequence difference-based differential evolution (MSHEA-SDDE) for the minimization of fuzzy completion time and fuzzy total flow time. MSHEA-SDDE balances the convergence and distribution performance of the algorithm at different stages. In the first stage, the hybrid sampling strategy makes the population rapidly converge toward the Pareto front (PF) in multiple directions. In the second stage, the sequence difference-based differential evolution (SDDE) is used to speed up the convergence speed to improve the convergence performance. In the last stage, the evolutional direction of SDDE is changed to guide individuals to search the local area of the PF, thereby further improving the convergence and distribution performance. The results of experiments show that the performance of MSHEA-SDDE is superior to the classical comparison algorithms in terms of solving the DFFSP.

Abstract
It is very important to control methane emissions to reduce global warming. In this study, a new attempt of one oxidant (potassium peroxymonosulfate (PMS)) was made to adjust the oxidation-reduction potential (Eh) by adding different mass of (0 g, 31.25 g, 62.5 g, 125 g, 250 g and 500 g) for the reduction of methane emissions from integrated vertical-flow constructed wetland (IVCW), where the IVCW system has been divided into the root-water system and the stem-leaf system of methane emissions. Results show that the reduced CH4 emission from IVCW was the highest with decreased by 43.5% compared to blank group (PMS = 0), when adding 125 g PMS. Importantly, the reduced CH4 from the root-water system of IVCW was higher than that of the stem-leaf system of IVCW, when adding PMS. It's found that Eh not only has a significant correlation with CH4 flux, but also has a significant relationship between PMS quality, DO, water temperature and sampling time (yEh = -0.44XPMS + 6.82XDO + 0.38t - 264.1, R2 = 0.99). It concludes that PMS, as an oxidant, is a very feasible method for controlling methane emissions from IVCW. It's concluded from this study that it is a feasible engineering method by using PMS as an oxidant for reducing methane emissions from IVCWs when treating artificial domestic sewage. Further research may combine other methods together such as microbiology, physical control and hydrology control for mitigating the CH4 emissions from constructed wetlands for more types of wastewater.

The reduction of 18F-FDG uptake ability of tumor tissue after neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy in locally advanced rectal cancer can effectively reflect the degree of tumor regression. Front Oncol 2022; 12:1037783. Abstract
Introduction To evaluate the predictive value of 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography-computed tomography (18F-FDG PET-CT) imaging parameters for the response to neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (nCRT) in locally advanced rectal cancer (LARC). Methods From January 2016 to March 2020, 52 LARC patients who underwent 18F-FDG PET-CT scans within 1 week before and 8-9 weeks after nCRT, were enrolled in this study according to a pre-designed screening criteria. After total mesorectal excision (TME) surgery, we assessed tumor response to treatment and analyzed the correlation between imaging parameters obtained from two PET-CT scans and tumor regression status. Results Tumor response assessment showed that 13 of 52 patients received good response (GR), including 9 cases with pathological complete regression (pCR) and 4 cases with near-pathological complete regression (near-pCR). We also found that the maximum standard uptake value after nCRT (post-SUVmax), the response index (RI), the mean standard uptake values after nCRT (post-SUVmean), and the ratio of tumor SUVmean to liver SUVmean after nCRT (post-Ratio), were correlated with GR and pCR. Among these parameters, post-SUVmax and RI had a near-strong correlation with pCR (rs= -0.58 and 0.59, respectively), and also had a strong correlation with GR (rs = -0.7 and 0.63, respectively). Further ROC analysis showed that post-SUVmax and RI had higher values in predicting whether patients could achieve GR and pCR after nCRT, and the area under the curve (AUC) of both were greater than 0.9. The positive predictive values (PPVs) and negative predictive values (NPVs) of post-SUVmax for GR were 80.01% and 97.3%, and for pCR were 66.68% and 97.5%, respectively. The PPVs and NPVs of the RI values for GR were 84.61% and 94.87%, and for pCR were 69.24% and 100%, respectively. Conclusion For LARC patients, the analysis of imaging parameters such as post-SUVmax and RI, which can reflect the changes of 18F-FDG uptake capacity of tumor tissues before and after nCRT, is of great value for predicting the response of patients to neoadjuvant therapy and guiding the selection of subsequent treatment strategies.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The stigma faced by people living with HIV causes difficulties in the treatment of HIV/AIDS. Decreasing this stigma is thus no less urgent than implementing behavioral interventions. Serious games are being increasingly adopted as an intervention mechanism to control HIV/AIDS around the world. However, the development and evaluation of these games in China are far from adequate. OBJECTIVE This research aimed to help decrease HIV-related stigma in China via the development and evaluation of a serious game, as well as promote a participatory gamification culture for health interventions. METHODS Initially, a serious game was developed using free resources from a user-generated content website. Then, quantitative and qualitative methods were employed for game evaluation. A randomized controlled trial was conducted to explore the game's effect on HIV-related stigma. The trial included 167 university students, who were randomly allocated to game and control groups. After the experimental evaluation, focus group discussions were held with 64 participants, who were invited to form 16 groups. RESULTS The game was called The Second Kind of Life with HIV (SKLWH), which is a free online game that can be played on computers and smartphones. This game hopes to publicize that people living with HIV can live a normal life, that is, a second life different from that imagined by the public. Based on the gamification practice of SKLWH, the participatory serious game development model (PSGDM) was proposed, which guided the development of 3 other HIV-themed games. The trial showed that intimacy stigma was much more severe than morality stigma and personal interaction stigma. Females were more tolerant of morality stigma than males (mean score: 1.29 vs 1.50; P=.01). The game intervention showed an advantage in decreasing intimacy stigma (mean score [game vs control]: 2.43 vs 2.73; P=.04). The group discussions validated the quantitative results and provided further in-depth information. The game intervention was largely preferred by participants, and the belief in intimacy impossibility was commonly expressed by participants when considering their relationship with people living with HIV. CONCLUSIONS HIV/AIDS education should adopt appropriate media interventions to mitigate different dimensions of HIV-related stigma. Serious games should be used to decrease intimacy stigma, which is the hardest form to diminish. It is expected that the PSGDM can promote the development of more health games. Furthermore, HIV/AIDS intervention requires interdisciplinary efforts and cooperation that will allow more people to participate and share the responsibility of promoting health.
