Abstract
A gammaAchi--paraproteinemia was found in a 73 year-old female patient with pyoderma gangraenosum. Since the paraporteins hitherto observed in pyoderma gangraenosum predominantly belong to the IgA class, a relationship may exist between pyoderma gangraenosum and this type of paraproteinemia.

Abstract
Twenty-five infants with generalized seborrhoeic dermatitis have been studied with reference to the provision of optimum treatment. Leucocyte counts and chest x-ray examination are recommended in every case. Irrespective of clinical findings, antibiotics should be given to patients with overt bacterial infection and those with leucocytosis, shift to the left, and toxic granulation. One group of infants was treated with vitamin B complex plus biotin given slowly intravenously over 24 hours; a second group was given only biotin intravenously over 2-3 hours; and a third group only biotin over 1-2 minutes. A fourth group was treated with both biotin and antibiotics for confirmed or suspected superimposed bacterial infection. The results were excellent in all groups. Skin lesions improved within 4-8 days and cleared completely within 15-30 days. Intravenous administration of biotin is recommended as less painful and less dangerous than multiple intramuscular injections.

Abstract
A 14-year-old boy with a 12-year history of episodes of sterile pyarthrosis and cutaneous inflammation and ulceration was found to possess a serum factor which enhanced the random migration of leukocytes in vitro. The serum factor was isolated by Sephadex G-200 gel filtration and found to have a molecular weight of approximately 160,000. This partially purified principle enhanced the random migration of purified normal human neutrophils or mononuclear leukocytes by up to 200% without influencing chemotaxis. Trauma or other stimuli may lead to an accumulation of this serum factor in some tissues of the patient with resultant excessive leukocyte influx and heightened local activity of the leukocytes in the inflammatory exudate.

Abstract
Two patients had pyoderma gangrenosum and rheumatoid arthritis. Biopsy specimens of the cutaneous ulcers in the patients showed a necrotizing vasculitis. Complement (C3) and immunoglobulins were not detected in the skin lesions. There was no important impairment of cell-mediated immunity observed.

Abstract
The evaluation of the streptozyme test in sera from 34 patients with streptococcal pyodermal nephritis was studied. Ninety-seven percent of the patients developed high titers of antistreptozyme antibodies on the first bleeding after hospitalization, in contrast to only 40% of patients who developed elevated antistreptolysin O titers. The high antistreptozyme titers declined during convalescence and reached normal levels in the sixth month after onset of the disease. The most significant fall in titers occurred between 1 and 2 months from the onset of disease. The streptozyme test may be particularly helpful as a rapid screening test for antibodies in streptococcal pyodermal nephritis.
