Abstract
Here we present room-temperature spin-dependent charge transport measurements in single-molecule junctions made of metalloporphyrin-based supramolecular assemblies. They display large conductance switching for magnetoresistance in a single-molecule junction. The magnetoresistance depends acutely on the probed electron pathway through the supramolecular wire: those involving the metal center showed marked magnetoresistance effects as opposed to those exclusively involving the porphyrin ring which present nearly complete absence of spin-dependent charge transport. The molecular junction magnetoresistance is highly anisotropic, being observable when the magnetization of the ferromagnetic junction electrode is oriented along the main molecular junction axis, and almost suppressed when it is perpendicular. The key ingredients for the above effect to manifest are the electronic structure of the paramagnetic metalloporphyrin, and the spinterface created at the molecule-electrode contact.

Abstract
Two examples of Co(II)-N-heterocyclic coordination polymers based on 1-hydroxyethylidenediphosphonic acid (H5L=CH3C(OH)(PO3H2)2), namely 0.5(H3NCH2CH2NH3)·[Co6(Cl2)(H3L)2(H2L)(HL)(2,2'-bipy)6] 1 and 2(NH4)·[Co3(HL)2(H2O)2(phen)2]·2(H2O) 2, have been solvothermally obtained by introducing the second ligands 2,2'-bipyridine/1,10-phenanthroline (2,2'-bipy/phen) and characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), elemental analysis, IR, TG-DSC. The single-crystal X-ray diffractions show that compound 1 possesses a 0-D structure with hexa-nuclear cluster [Co6(O-P-O)8] built through single/double O-P-O bridges and compound 2 displays a 1-D ladder-like chain structure with magnetic topology building blocks [Co4(O-P-O)4]n. Then H-bonding and π-π stacking interactions further expand the two low-dimensional structures into three-dimensional supramolecular frameworks. Fluorescent measurements reveal that both the maximum emission peaks of 1-2 are centered at 423nm, mainly deriving from intraligand π*-π transition state of N-heterocyclic ligand 2,2'-bipy/phen, respectively. Magnetism data indicate that 1 exhibits antiferromagnetic behavior within hexa-nuclear Co(II) clusters, while 2 shows weak ferromagnetic interactions in 1-D topology Co(II)-chain, showing promising potential as magnetic materials.

Abstract
By introducing the second organic N-heterocyclic ligands 2,2'-bipyridine (2,2'-bipy)/1,10-phenanthroline (phen), two mono-/bi-nuclear examples of Cu(II)-diphosphonate coordination polymers based on 1-hydroxyethylidenediphosphonic acid (H5L=CH3C(OH)(PO3H2)2), [Cu(H4L)2(2,2'-bipy)]·H2O 1 and [Cu(H3L)(phen)]2·(HOCH2CH2OH)0.52, have been solvothermally obtained and characterized by powder X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis, IR, TG-DSC. The single-crystal X-ray diffractions show that both the two compounds possess zero-dimensional structures, built from mononuclear unit [CuO4N2]n for 1 and binuclear unit [-Cu-O-P-O-]2n with a double O-P-O bridge for 2 in syn-anti fashion. Then H-bond or/and π-π interactions further expand the two zero-dimensional structures into the three-dimensional supramolecular frameworks. Fluorescent measurements reveal that the maximum emission peaks of 1-2 centered at 433.5nm for 1 and 434.5nm for 2, respectively, are mainly caused by intraligand π(*)-π emission state of N-heterocyclic ligands (λex=235nm). The further magnetic study shows the two coordination polymers exhibit antiferromagnetic behavior for 1 between the mononuclear units, while ferromagnetic behavior for 2 derived from double O-P-O bridges in syn-anti mode between the metal centers.

Abstract
Diffraction results obtained at 100 and 291 K, the former at high resolution, are reported for the title compound, [Cu(C10H9N4O2S)2(NH3)2] or [Cu(sulfa)2(NH3)2] [Hsulfa is 4-amino-N-(pyrimidin-2-yl)benzenesulfonamide]. The CuIIcation is coordinated by two N-atom donors from a bidentate sulfa ligand, by two ammonia molecules in the equatorial plane and by a monohapto (η1) sulfadiazine at the apex of a distorted square pyramid. The present interpretation and two earlier reports [Brown, Cook & Sengier (1987).Acta Cryst.C43, 2332–2334; Tommasino, Renaud, Luneau & Pilet (2011).Polyhedron,30, 1663–1670] disagree about the nature and geometry of the ligands. The relationship between the present result and the former is discussed, and evidence is provided that the latter erroneously assigned an ammine as an aqua ligand.

Abstract
In the crystal structure of the title complex, [Zn(C9H7O4)2(H2O)3]·2H2O, the Zn atom and the apical aqua ligand are located on a crystallographic twofold axis, with the ZnII ion in a distorted square-pyramidal coordination geometry composed of five O atoms, two from the monodentate methylterephthalato group and three from water molecules. The resulting complex and the two hydrate water molecules are interconnected by O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Abstract
The binding properties of 1,4,7-triazacyclononane ([9]aneN3) to metal cations can be adapted through sequential functionalisation of the secondary amines with aminoethyl or aminopropyl pendant arms to generate ligands with increasing numbers of donor atoms. The new amino functionalised pendant arm derivative of 1,4,7-triazacyclononane ([9]aneN3), L1, has been synthesised and its salt [H2L1]Cl2 characterised by X-ray diffraction. The protonation constants of the ligands L1-L4 having one, two or three aminoethyl or three aminopropyl pendant arms, respectively, on the [9]aneN3 framework, and the thermodynamic stabilities of their mononuclear complexes with CuII and ZnII have been investigated by potentiometric measurements in aqueous solutions. In order to discern the protonation sites of ligands L1-L4, 1H NMR spectroscopic studies were performed in D2O as a function of pH. While the stability constants of the CuII complexes increase on going from L1 to L2 and then decrease on going from L2 to L3 and L4, those for ZnII complexes increase from L1 to L3 and then decrease for L4. The X-ray crystal structures of the complexes [Cu(L1)(Br)]Br, [Zn(L1)(NO3)]NO3, [Cu(L2)](ClO4)2, [Ni(L2)(MeCN)](BF4)2, [Zn(L4)](BF4)2.MeCN and [Mn(L4)](NO3)2.1/2H2O have been determined. In both [Cu(L1)(Br)]Br and [Zn(L1)(NO3)]NO3 the metal ion is five co-ordinate and bound by four N-donors of the macrocyclic ligand and by one of the two counter-anions. The crystal structures of [Cu(L2)](ClO4)2 and [Ni(L2)(MeCN)](BF4)2 show the metal centre in slightly distorted square-based pyramidal and octahedral geometry, respectively, with a MeCN molecule completing the co-ordination sphere around NiII in the latter. In both [Zn(L4)](BF4)2.MeCN and [Mn(L4)](NO3)2.1/2H2O the metal ion is bound by all six N-donors of the macrocyclic ligand in a distorted octahedral geometry. Interestingly, and in agreement with the solution studies and with the marked preference of CuII to assume a square-based pyramidal geometry with these types of ligands, the reaction of L4 with one equivalent of Cu(BF4)2.4H2O in MeOH at room temperature yields a square-based pyramidal five co-ordinate CuII complex [Cu(L6)](BF4)2 where one of the three propylamino pendant arms of the starting ligand has been cleaved to give L6.
