Abstract
Purpose Successful aging at work is a new idea for enterprises to develop and utilize older employees under the background of population aging. However, there is a lack of research on the effect of family-work conflict on successful aging at work. This study explored how family-work conflict affective successful aging at work through the mediating roles of occupational future time perspective and the moderating role of flexible work arrangements perception. Methods In study 1 (scenario-based experiment, N=107) recruited full-time employees working through the Credamo platform as experimental subjects, tested the causal relationship between family-work conflict and successful aging at work. In study 2 (questionnaire survey, N=349), questionnaires were distributed to large manufacturing enterprises in North China, and a two-wave time-lagged survey design was used to test the full model. Results The results show that family-work conflict has a negative impact on successful aging at work; occupational future time perspective plays a mediating role in the relationship between family-work conflict and successful aging at work; flexible work arrangements perception moderated the mediating path via occupational future time perspective, and the indirect effect of occupational future time perspective decreased when flexible work arrangements perception increased. Discussion This study enriches the research on the relationship between family-work conflict and successful aging at work in theory, and has important guiding significance for enterprises to build an inclusive and aging human resource management system in practice.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The role of sociodemographic factors in the association between early sports participation (ESP) and sedentary behavior is unclear. We analyzed the association of ESP with sedentary behavior and identified the influence of sociodemographic factors in adulthood. METHODS A sample of 264 community-dwelling adults was randomly assessed (42.6 [17.0] y old, 57.6% women). Sociodemographic factors (age, gender, and socioeconomic status) and ESP (retrospectively) were assessed by questionnaire. Sedentary behavior was measured by accelerometer and self-reported for domains identification. The association between ESP and sedentary behavior domains and sociodemographic factors was analyzed by Poisson regression and presented in prevalence ratio (PR). Sociodemographic factors were separately included as covariates to identify their role in the main association analysis. RESULTS The ESP prevalence was 56.4% (n = 149). ESP participants included a higher proportion of men (59.7% vs 20.0%), had a lower age (36.8 [15.3] vs 50.8 [15.9]), and included a smaller proportion of individuals with low socioeconomic status (24.8% vs 43.5%) compared with those without ESP. The ESP was inversely associated with older age (PR = 0.58, P < .001 for middle aged; PR = 0.34, P < .001 for older participants), female gender (PR = 0.79, P < .001), low socioeconomic status (PR = 0.63, P = .036), and TV watching (PR = 0.67, P = .011). ESP was associated with driving (PR = 1.50, P = .028), office/paper work (PR = 1.63, P = .012), and using a cellphone (PR = 1.60, P = .009). The age was the main confounding factor of association between ESP and sedentary behavior, followed by socioeconomic status. No mediation role was identified. CONCLUSION The ESP was associated with mentally active behavior domains and inversely associated with mentally passive sedentary behavior domains, but this association was majorly affected by sociodemographic factors, mainly by age.

Abstract
The aim of this scoping review was to identify effective workplace programs for work ability and well-being management and its barriers and facilitators in multinational organizations. The PubMed, Embase, and Web of Science databases were searched from 1974 through February 2023 to identify quantitative and qualitative studies on the management of work ability and well-being, and related outcomes including presenteeism, absenteeism, productivity loss, and healthy practices, conducted in a multinational organization or company. The titles and abstracts of over 11,000 publications were screened, and 10 studies fulfilling the inclusion criteria were included in the review. The management of work ability and well-being in multinational companies requires leadership support and commitment, effective communication, employee health awareness and engagement, comprehensive personalized health risk and condition assessments, and the management of risk factors and occupational and non-occupational health conditions. Financial constraints, high workloads, competing priorities, a lack of effective communication, a lack of worksite managers’ motivation, employees’ language barriers, high worksite managers’ turnover, and a decline in the support of senior managers are considered as barriers, and the presence of existing participatory practices is considered as a facilitator of participation in workplace health and well-being interventions in multinational companies. This review suggests that the management of work ability and well-being in multinational companies should go beyond health promotion and include comprehensive personalized health risk and health condition assessments and management.

Abstract
Aim To investigate the level of self‐reported work ability and its association with manual patient handling in healthcare workers. Design Cross‐sectional study adhering to the Strengthening the Reporting of Observational Studies in Epidemiology (STROBE) guidelines. Methods A total of 320 healthcare workers answered a self‐administered questionnaire regarding manual patient handling, work ability, occupational factors, occurrence of low back pain and sociodemographic and lifestyle factors from November 2016 to March 2017. The association between manual patient handling and low back pain was analysed with Poisson regression models. Results The prevalence ratio of inadequate work ability was 43.42%. Manual patient handling (PR 1.375, 95% CI 1.038–1.821), bachelor education (PR 2.150, 95% CI 1.272–3.632), less than bachelor education (PR 2.166, 95% CI 1.218–3.855), seniority (PR 1.049, 95% CI 1.024–1.086), poor sleep quality (PR 1.425, 95% CI 1.13–1.796) and presence of low back pain (PR 2.003, 95% CI 1.314–3.052) were all positively associated with an inadequate work ability.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE As the digitization of the working world progresses, the demands on employees change. Not least, this is true for the setting of public administrations in Germany, which is currently affected by the transformation to E-Government. This study aims to identify and describe a risk cluster of digitally stressed employees in public administrations. METHODS An online sample of 710 employees from three public administrations in North Rhine-Westphalia were surveyed about digital stress (7 items) and several potential risk factors (19 items) derived from the current research. In the first step, a hierarchical agglomerative cluster analysis is used to detect the risk cluster. This is followed by a comparison to the group of the remaining employees regarding their risk profiles. RESULTS The analysis states that the digitally stressed cluster accounts for approximately ten percent of the public administration's employees of the total sample. Employees in the risk cluster are less satisfied with on-site work overall, experience less collegial support on-site, experience less collegial support in the home office, resign more often, are more likely to feel overwhelmed, are less educated, are older in age and more often have relatives in need of care. CONCLUSION This work was able to identify and describe a group of digitally stressed rather than left-behind employees in public administrations to bring awareness to potentially destructive factors in the digital transformation process but eventually to social inequalities. The findings offer the basis for interventions to arise and evoke potential for further research.

Abstract
At present, companies should definitely be able to adapt to their environment. It entails being able to successfully predict and eliminate flaws and undesirable steps which may result in negative consequences. It can only be executed by careful consideration of three basic enterprise’s components which comprise the following: material resources, financial resources and human resources. An effective corporate coordination and human resource management is a cornerstone of the enterprise’s success while these components are of the same importance to this success. To this end, the aim of this manuscript is to design innovative recruitment procedures when using age management approach for a specific transport company; in particular, its human resource management is taken into consideration. In the initial parts of the manuscript, an analysis of quantitative and qualitative data is performed, wherein introduction into the addressed subject, relevant literature review, as well as description of utilized data and methods within the conducted research are elaborated. Consequently, in a case study section, the Work Ability Index (WAI) method is used to focus on the chosen group of employees in order to profoundly investigate their work abilities. The very examination of employees’ life cycle encompasses multiple age categories and measures a decrease in their work ability level. As for the ensuing (final) parts of the manuscript, a thorough evaluation of results obtained, appropriate discussion and, last but not least, conclusion section are compiled, in which the most imperative findings of the performed investigation are comprehensively summarized. Following the above, the purpose of this study is to compile a novel methodological procedure in terms of using the principles of age management in human resource management; specifically, in an opted transport company, and thus helping towards more effective and sustainable corporate recruitment strategy.
