Abstract
OBJECTIVE This study utilized the theoretical framework of the "fear avoidance model" (FAM) and investigated the role of fear of attack in pain-related disability. To this end, a measurement specific to cluster headache (CH) was used to investigate whether fear of attacks, alongside attack frequency, is a significant predictor of pain-related disability in CH. BACKGROUND Cluster headache substantially impacts daily functioning, yet empirical research exploring specific contributing factors is limited. METHODS A cross-sectional online survey was undertaken in patients with CH, gathering sociodemographic, clinical data, and responses on the Cluster Headache Scale and the Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale. RESULTS Analysis of data from 640 patients (chronic CH: 287/640 [44.8%]; female: 264/640 [41.3%]; male: 373/640 [58.3%]; gender diverse: three of 640 [0.5%]; age range: 18-86 years; mean [standard deviation] Cluster Headache Scales subscale disability score: 36.9 [9.8]; out of 869 respondents) revealed that both attack frequency and fear of attacks significantly predicted pain-related disability (p < 0.001, percentage of variance explained: R2 = 0.24). More variance was explained by fear of attacks (R2 = 0.22) than by attack frequency (R2 = 0.02). This relationship remained significant even when controlling for depression and anxiety, which were also identified as independent predictors of pain-related disability (p < 0.001, R2 = 0.44). CONCLUSION This study emphasizes the relevance of psychological factors in CH-related disability. Fear of attacks was found to be an independent predictor, while attack frequency was of minor relevance. Empirical investigation of the FAM in CH could improve the understanding of the mechanisms underlying disability and contribute to the development of CH-specific interventions.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To examine the unique role of migraine aura in predicting day-to-day levels of headache-related disability. BACKGROUND Migraine symptoms and psychological variables contribute to headache-related disability. Migraine aura may be associated with more severe symptom profiles and increased risk of psychiatric comorbidities, but the impact of aura on daily functioning is unknown. The present study sought to evaluate the role of migraine aura in predicting same-day and subsequent-day migraine-related disability while accounting for demographic, headache, and psychological variables. METHODS This was an observational prospective cohort study among 554 adults with migraine. For each participant, data on migraine symptoms and psychological variables were collected daily for 90 days using the N-1 Headache™ digital app (N = 11,156 total migraine days). Analyses assessed whether the presence of aura predicted daily ratings of migraine-related disability independently of other headache and psychological variables. Given the number of predictors examined, statistical significance was set at p < 0.01. RESULTS The mean (standard deviation, range) patient-level Migraine Disability Assessment questionnaire score across days of the migraine episode was 1.18 (1.03, 0-3). Aura was significantly associated with higher disability ratings on all days of the migraine episode (odds ratio [OR] 1.40, 99% confidence interval [CI] 1.13-1.74; p < 0.001). This relationship remained unchanged after adjusting for patient-level variables (OR 1.40, 99% CI 1.13-1.73; p < 0.001) and day-level psychological variables (OR 1.39, 99% CI 1.12-1.73; p < 0.001) but was fully negated after controlling for day-level headache variables (OR 1.19, 99% CI 0.95-1.49; p = 0.039). Aura on the first day of the episode was associated with increased odds of allodynia (OR 1.87, 99% CI 1.22-2.86; p < 0.001), phonophobia (OR 1.62, 99% CI 1.17-2.25; p < 0.001), photophobia (OR 1.89, 99% CI 1.37-2.59; p < 0.001), and nausea/vomiting (OR 1.54, 99% CI 1.17-2.02; p < 0.001) on all days of the episode, but not episode duration (p = 0.171), peak severity (p = 0.098), or any examined psychological variables (sleep duration [p = 0.733], sleep quality [p = 0.186], stress [p = 0.110], anxiety [p = 0.102], or sadness [p = 0.743]). CONCLUSION The presence of aura is predictive of increased headache-related disability during migraine episodes, but this effect is attributable to associated non-pain symptoms of migraine.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Headaches are the cause of disability worldwide, and among them, migraine stands out as one of the most prevalent. Psychosocial aspects have a relevant role in the prognosis of migraine, but their relationship with these variables is not completely clear. OBJECTIVE To investigate the relationship between kinesiophobia and catastrophizing level, self-efficacy, hypervigilance, physical activity level, and disability in individuals with migraine. METHOD Eighty-eight participants answered an online form containing validated questionnaires to evaluate kinesiophobia, catastrophizing, self-efficacy, hypervigilance, and disability. Based on the cutoff point of the Tampa scale, participants were categorized into two groups: migraine with kinesiophobia (KM, n = 45), and migraine without kinesiophobia (NKM, n = 43). RESULTS The prevalence of kinesiophobia was 51.1%. The KM group presented higher catastrophizing and disability scores and lower self-efficacy scores, vigorous physical activity time, and physical activity level compared to the NKM group (p < .05). Kinesiophobia was associated with higher catastrophizing levels (r = 0.546, p < .001), hypervigilance (r = 0.302, p = .004) and disability (r = 0.517, p < .001) and lower self-efficacy levels (r = - 0.499, p < .001). In addition, kinesiophobia is associated with the risk of being physically inactive (OR = 0.186, 95% CI: 0.068-0.505). CONCLUSION Kinesiophobia is prevalent in individuals with migraine and should be carefully considered in clinical practice, as it harms participation in physical activities and is associated with worse cognitive and behavioral outcomes.

Abstract
Migraine is one of the leading causes of disability worldwide. Third wave therapies, such as Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy for Migraine (MBCT-M), have proven efficacious in reducing headache-related disability. However, research is needed to better understand the change mechanisms involved in these third-wave therapies. Acceptance is a fundamental component of third wave therapies, and more research is warranted on the role of pain acceptance in MBCT-M. It is also valuable to understand the independent roles of the two components of pain acceptance-pain willingness (PW) and activity engagement (AE). The current study is a secondary analysis of a randomized control trial of MBCT-M. Sixty participants were included in the study (MBCT = 31; WL/TAU = 29). Baseline correlations between overall pain acceptance, PW, AE, and headache-related disability were run. Mixed models assessed change from baseline to one-month post-treatment and treatment-by-time interaction for overall pain acceptance, PW, and AE. Mixed models also assessed maintenance of changes at 6-month follow-up in the MBCT-M group. Longitudinal mediation models assessed whether change in pain acceptance, PW, and AE mediated the relationship between treatment and change in headache-related disability. Pain acceptance, PW, and AE were all negatively correlated with headache-related disability at baseline. Pain acceptance, PW, and AE all significantly increased over time in both the waitlist/ treatment-as-usual group (WL/TAU) and the MBCT-M group. Only AE increased more in the MBCT group than the WL/TAU group. Change in pain acceptance, PW, and AE all significantly mediated the relationship between MBCT and change in headache-related disability. The study supports the importance of pain acceptance, specifically the activity engagement component, in MBCT-M.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To examine the relative contribution of headache symptoms and psychological factors to headache-related disability. BACKGROUND Both headache symptoms and comorbid psychological factors (psychiatric symptoms and transdiagnostic constructs) negatively impact functioning among individuals with migraine and tension-type headache, but few studies have explored their relative contribution to headache-related disability. We hypothesized that psychiatric symptoms and transdiagnostic variables would afford incremental contribution to disability beyond headache symptoms, and we investigated the moderating role of headache diagnosis on these relationships. METHODS This cross-sectional study examined data from a southern U.S. university online sample of 1818 young adults (mean [SD] age 19.0 [5.1] years; 74.6% female) who met the International Classification of Headache Disorders, third edition criteria for primary headache disorders (46.6% episodic migraine, 11.6% chronic migraine, 38.3% episodic tension-type headache, 3.5% chronic tension-type headache) and completed measures assessing psychological factors and headache-related disability. Headache, psychiatric symptoms, and transdiagnostic factors were examined in relation to headache-related disability, after controlling for sex. Moderation analyses examined the conditional effect of diagnosis on disability. RESULTS As predicted, both psychiatric and transdiagnostic symptoms accounted for unique variance in headache-related disability beyond headache symptoms (R2 changes of 2.7% and 2.3%, respectively). Significant three-way interactions revealed the relationship between psychiatric symptoms and disability (b = -3.16, p = 0.002), and between transdiagnostic variables and disability (b = -2.37, p = 0.034). Tests of simple slopes showed greater psychiatric symptoms and transdiagnostic variables were associated with higher levels of disability. However, the associations of these variables with disability were strongest among individuals with chronic tension-type headache (B = 3.93 for psychiatric symptoms and B = 4.62 for transdiagnostic symptoms, both p < 0.001). CONCLUSION Psychiatric and transdiagnostic factors contribute uniquely to headache-related functional impairment, which may be important for expanding targeted assessment and behavioral interventions.

Abstract
After 35 years since the introduction of the International Classification of Headache Disorders (ICHD), we are living in the era of the second great revolution in migraine therapies. First, discoveries of triptans provided a breakthrough in acute migraine treatment utilizing bench-to-bedside research results on the role of serotonin in migraine. Next, the discovery of the role of neuropeptides, more specifically calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) in migraine attack led to the development of anti-CGRP therapies that are effective both in acute and preventive treatment, and are also able to reduce migraine-related burden. Here, we reviewed the most recent clinical studies and real-world data on available migraine-specific medications, including triptans, ditants, gepants and anti-CGRP monoclonal antibodies. Novel drug targets, such as PACAP and amylins were also discussed. To address the main challenges of migraine therapy, the high heterogeneity of people with migraine, the prevalent presence of various comorbid disorders, and the insufficient medical care of migraine patients were covered. Promising novel approaches from the fields of omics, blood and saliva biomarker, imaging and provocation studies might bring solutions for these challenges with the potential to identify further drug targets, distinguish more homogeneous patient subgroups, contribute to more optimal drug selection strategies, and detect biomarkers in association with headache features or predicting treatment efficacy. In the future, the combined analysis of data of different biomarker modalities with machine learning algorithms may serve precision medicine in migraine treatment.

Abstract
Background Refractory migraine is a poorly described complication of migraine in which migraine has chronified and become resistant to standard treatments. The true prevalence is unknown, but medication resistance is common in headache clinic patient populations. Given the lack of response to treatment, this patient population is extremely difficult to treat with limited guidance in the literature. Objective To review the diagnostic, pathophysiological, and management challenges in the refractory migraine population. Discussion There are no accepted, or even ICHD-3 appendix, diagnostic criteria for refractory migraine though several proposed criteria exist. Current proposed criteria often have low bars for refractoriness while also not meeting the needs of pediatrics, lower socioeconomic status, and developing nations. Pathophysiology is unknown but can be hypothesized as a persistent "on" state as a progression from chronic migraine with increasing central sensitization, but there may be heterogeneity in the underlying pathophysiology. No guidelines exist for treatment of refractory migraine; once all guideline-based treatments are tried, treatment consists of n-of-1 treatment trials paired with non-pharmacologic management. Conclusion Refractory migraine is poorly described diagnostically, its pathophysiology can only be guessed at by extension of chronic migraine, and treatment is more the art than science of medicine. Navigating care of this refractory population will require multidisciplinary care models and an emphasis on future research to answer these unknowns.

Abstract
(1) Background: Randomized controlled trials and real-life studies demonstrated the efficacy of OnabotulinumtoxinA (OBT-A) for CM prevention. However, no studies specifically addressed its effect on pain's quantitative intensity and qualitative characteristics. (2) Methods: This is an ambispective study: a post-hoc retrospective analysis of real-life prospectively collected data from two Italian headache centers on CM patients treated with OBT-A over one year (i.e., Cy1-4). The primary endpoint was the changes in pain intensity (Numeric Rating Scale, NRS; the Present Pain Intensity (PPI) scale, the 6-point Behavioral Rating Scale (BRS-6)) and quality scale (the short-form McGill Pain Questionnaire (SF-MPQ)) scores. We also assessed the relationship between changes in intensity and quality of pain and disability scale (MIDAS; HIT-6) scores, monthly headache days (MHDs), and monthly acute medication intake (MAMI) (3) Results: We retrieved 152 cases (51.5 years SD 11.3, 80.3% females). From baseline to Cy-4, MHDs, MAMI, NRS, PPI, and BRS-6 scores decreased (consistently p < 0.001). Only the throbbing (p = 0.004), splitting (p = 0.018), and sickening (p = 0.017) qualities of pain collected in the SF-MPQ were reduced. Score variations in MIDAS related to those in PPI scales (p = 0.035), in the BRS-6 (p = 0.001), and in the NRS (p = 0.003). Similarly, HIT-6 score changes related to PPI score modifications (p = 0.027), in BRS-6 (p = 0.001) and NRS (p = 0.006). Conversely, MAMI variation was not associated with qualitative or quantitative pain score modifications except BRS-6 (p = 0.018). (4) Conclusions: Our study shows that OBT-A alleviates migraine by reducing its impact on multiple aspects, such as frequency, disability, and pain intensity. The beneficial effect on pain intensity seems specific to pain characteristics related to C-fiber transmission and is associated with a reduction in migraine-related disability.

Although lifestyle strategies (e.g., sleep, diet) are commonly recommended as part of migraine treatment, tobacco-related strategies (e.g., smoking cessation) are rarely included. This review is aimed at elucidating what is known about tobacco use and migraine and at identifying gaps in the research. RECENT FINDINGS The prevalence of smoking is higher among people with migraine, and people with migraine believe that smoking makes migraine attacks worse. There is also evidence that smoking may exacerbate migraine-related consequences (e.g., stroke). Very few studies have examined other aspects of smoking and migraine or tobacco products other than cigarettes. There are significant gaps in our knowledge of smoking and migraine. More research is needed to understand the relationship of tobacco use to migraine and potential benefits of adding smoking cessation efforts into migraine care.

Abstract
Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the preliminary validity of two novel scales, the Fear of Asthma Symptoms scale (FAS) and the Asthma Behavior Checklist (ABC). Methods: Using cross-sectional design, data was collected online from 188 adult participants (Age 18-71 years) with a diagnosis of asthma and self-reported anxiety related to asthma, recruited through social media. Confirmatory factor analysis, internal consistency and test-retest reliability were ascertained to address validity.Results: The confirmatory factor analysis demonstrated convergent validity for both the FAS (average variance extracted; AVE=.57) and the item-reduced ABC-8 (AVE=.61) as well as divergent validity for both scales. Both scales demonstrated high internal consistency (FAS: α = 0.94; ABC-8: α = 0.92). Test-retest reliability assessed after 1 week was good (FAS: r=.85; ABC-8: r=.88).Conclusions: We observed promising psychometric properties of the FAS and the ABC-8. The two novel scales could be useful to identify excessive fear and avoidance in patients with asthma and to investigate putative mechanisms in clinical research on anxiety related to asthma. Further evaluation of psychometric properties in independent samples are needed.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The present study aimed to explore the relationship between the COVID-19 pandemic and headache-related disability among a sample of young adults with migraine. BACKGROUND Comorbid psychological symptoms compound migraine-related disability. Due to COVID-19 pandemic procedures, many students experienced institutional closures and corresponding increases in depression, stress, and anxiety. The present study sought to examine changes in headache-related disability before (Spring and Fall of 2019) and during (Fall of 2020 and Spring 2021) the COVID-19 pandemic and whether psychological symptoms mediated such changes. METHODS A cross-sectional study at a southern U.S. university assessed 365 individuals with migraine on headache and psychological variables, comparing those surveyed before COVID-19 with another group surveyed during the pandemic. The direct and indirect effects of COVID-19 status (pre- versus during COVID-19) on headache-related disability through depression, anxiety, and stress symptoms were assessed. RESULTS Statistically higher levels of depression, (M = 13.9 [SD = 12.2] vs. M = 8.7 [SD = 8.7], p < 0.001), anxiety (12.3 [10.0] vs. 9.7 [8.2], p = 0.01), and stress symptoms (17.6 [10.2] vs. 13.2 [7.9], p < 0.001) were endorsed during the COVID-19 pandemic. The direct path from COVID-19 status to headache-related disability was significant and negative, c' = -1.6 (95% CI: -3.1, -0.1). Anxiety (b = 0.3 [95% CI: 0.01, 0.9]) and depression (b = 0.7 [95% CI: 0.07, 1.4]) symptoms acted as mediators of this relationship, rendering the total effect nonsignificant and negating the lowered disability observed during the pandemic. Only depression symptoms remained a significant mediator after controlling for headache frequency (b = 0.7 [95% CI: 0.09, 1.4]). CONCLUSIONS Increased depression and anxiety symptoms attenuated the improvements in disability associated with the pandemic. As such, interventions that address comorbid psychological symptoms may hold value in reducing headache-related disability and improving outcomes for young adults whose headache developed or worsened during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Stigma is increasingly recognized as an important social feature of living with migraine. METHODS Adults with migraine recruited from neurology offices completed the validated Stigma Scale for Chronic Illnesses 8-item version (SSCI-8); two outcome measures (the Migraine Disability Assessment [MIDAS] and the Migraine-Specific Quality of Life Questionnaire v 2.1 [MSQ]); and measures of allodynia (Allodynia Symptom Checklist [ASC-12]), pain cognition (Pain Catastrophizing Scale [PCS]), and psychiatric symptoms (Patient Reported Measurement Information System Anxiety [PROMIS-A] and Depression [PROMIS-D]). Pearson and Spearman correlations evaluated bivariate relationships, and linear (MSQ) and logistic (MIDAS Severe Disability, scores ≥21) regressions evaluated the unique variance associated with SSCI-8 beyond other study variables. Conditional process analysis evaluated mediation hypotheses between study variables. RESULTS Participants (n = 121) reported levels of stigma on par with other chronic illnesses (SSCI-8 M = 53.0, standard deviation [SD] = 7.8), with 25/127 (19.6%) reporting clinically significant levels of stigma (SSCI-8 T-score ≥ 60). Higher SSCI-8 scores were associated with higher monthly headache day frequency (r = 0.35), MIDAS (ρ = 0.41), ASC-12 (r = 0.24, p < 0.01), PCS (r = 0.46), both PROMIS-A (r = 0.43) and D (r = 0.42), and lower MSQ subscale scores (Role Restriction r = -0.50; Role Prevention r = -0.48; Emotion Function r = -0.50), all ps <0.001 unless otherwise noted. The SSCI-8 contributed significantly beyond migraine symptoms and other psychological factors for MSQ Emotion Function (5% unique variance) and MIDAS Severe Disability (6% of unique variance). The SSCI-8 mediated relationships between headache frequency and the MSQ subscales and MIDAS Severe Disability. The PCS mediated relationships between the SSCI-8 and MSQ subscales. The PROMIS-D mediated relationships between the SSCI-8 and MSQ Role Restriction and MSQ Role Prevention. CONCLUSIONS Migraine stigma has medium to large associations with migraine outcomes and psychiatric symptoms and is independently associated with migraine disability and emotion-related quality of life. Migraine stigma is an important contributor to the relationship between headache frequency and migraine outcomes.

Abstract
Migraine, a common and disabling neurological disorder, is among the top reasons for outpatient visits to general neurologists. In addition to pharmacotherapy, lifestyle interventions are a mainstay of treatment. High-quality daily diary studies and intervention studies indicate intraindividual variations in the associations between lifestyle factors (such as stress, sleep, diet, and physical activity) and migraine attack occurrence. Behaviour change interventions can directly address overlapping lifestyle factors; combination approaches could capitalise on multiple mechanisms. These findings provide useful directions for integration of lifestyle management into routine clinical care and for future research.

Abstract
Background Past studies do not account for avoidance behaviour in migraine as a potential confounder of phonophobia. Objective To analyse whether phonophobia is partially driven by avoidance behaviour when using the classic methodology (method of limits). Methods This is a case-control study where we tested phonophobia in a cohort of high-frequency/chronic migraine patients (15.5 ± 0.74 headache days/month) and non-headache controls. Auditory stimuli, delivered in both ears, were presented using three different paradigms: the method of limits, the method of constant stimuli, and the adaptive method. Participants were asked to report how bothersome each tone was until a sound aversion threshold was estimated for each method. Results In this study, we successfully replicate previously reported reduction in sound aversion threshold using three different methods in a group of 35 patients and 25 controls (p < 0.0001). Avoidance behaviour in migraine reduced sound aversion threshold in the method of limits (p = 0.0002) and the adaptive method (p < 0.0001) when compared to the method of constant stimuli. While thresholds in controls remained the same across methods (method of limits, p = 0.9877 and adaptive method, p = 1). Conclusion Avoidance behaviour can exacerbate phonophobia. The current methodology to measure phonophobia needs to be revised.

Abstract
PURPOSE OF REVIEW The purpose of this review is to summarize advances in behavioral treatments for pain and headache disorders, as well as recent innovations in telemedicine for behavioral treatments. RECENT FINDINGS Research for behavioral treatments continues to support their use as part of a multidisciplinary approach to comprehensive management for pain and headache conditions. Behavioral treatments incorporate both behavioral change and cognitive interventions and have been shown to improve outcomes beyond that of medical management alone. The onset of the COVID-19 public health emergency necessitated the rapid uptake of nontraditional modalities for behavioral treatments, particularly telemedicine. Telemedicine has long been considered the answer to several barriers to accessing behavioral treatments, and as a result of COVID-19 significant progress has been made evaluating a variety of telemedicine modalities including synchronous, asynchronous, and mobile health applications. Researchers are encouraged to continue investigating how best to leverage these modalities to improve access to behavioral treatments and to continue evaluating the efficacy of telemedicine compared to traditional in-person care. Comprehensive pain and headache management should include behavioral treatments to address a variety of behavior change and cognitive targets. Policy changes and advances in telemedicine for behavioral treatments provide the opportunity to address historical barriers limiting access.

Abstract
PURPOSE OF REVIEW This review provides the reader with an overview of concussion and mild traumatic brain injury (TBI). Key aspects of the pathophysiology, signs, and symptoms, treatment and rehabilitation, and recovery from concussion/mild TBI are reviewed with an emphasis on the variety of factors that may contribute to cognitive concerns following injury. RECENT FINDINGS Concussion remains a clinical diagnosis based on symptoms that occur in the immediate aftermath of an applied force and in the hours, days, and weeks thereafter. Although advances have been made in advanced diagnostics, including neuroimaging and fluid biomarkers in hopes of developing objective indicators of injury, such markers currently lack sufficient specificity to be used in clinical diagnostics. The symptoms of concussion are heterogeneous and may be seen to form subtypes, each of which suggests a targeted rehabilitation by the interdisciplinary team. Although the majority of patients with concussion recover within the first 30 to 90 days after injury, some have persistent disabling symptoms. The concept of postconcussion syndrome, implying a chronic syndrome of injury-specific symptoms, is replaced by a broader concept of persistent symptoms after concussion. This concept emphasizes the fact that most persistent symptoms have their basis in complex somatic, cognitive, psychiatric, and psychosocial factors related to risk and resilience. This framework leads to the important conclusion that concussion is a treatable injury from which nearly all patients can be expected to recover. SUMMARY Concussion/mild TBI is a significant public health problem in civilian, military, and organized athletic settings. Recent advances have led to a better understanding of underlying pathophysiology and symptom presentation and efficacious treatment and rehabilitation of the resulting symptoms. An interdisciplinary team is well-positioned to provide problem-oriented, integrated care to facilitate recovery and to advance the evidence base supporting effective practice in diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES The 1-month Graded Chronic Pain Scale (GCPS) commonly used in clinical studies has never been validated. This study compares the GCPS 1-month with the 6 months version for reliability and validity. METHODS The Validation Project included 521 participants with at least one temporomandibular disorder for cross-sectional data and 74 participants for test-retest data. Internal reliability, stability, and construct validity were used for testing the 1-month version. Comparisons were made between the 2 versions for characteristic pain intensity (CPI), interference, and chronic pain grade (CPG). RESULTS For GCPS 1-month, internal consistency for pain intensity and interference was high (Cronbach α=0.87 and 0.94, respectively), and temporal stability was high for CPI (intraclass correlation coefficient [ICC]=0.91), interference (ICC=0.85), and CPG (weighted κ=0.88). ICC or κ between the 2 versions was 0.78 (CPI), 0.66 (interference), and 0.69 (CPG); high-impact pain, in contrast, was 0.50. Construct validity exhibited higher correlations with predictor variables for 1-month version attributes of CPI, interference, and CPG. Modified Bland-Altman plots indicated that both versions measure CPI well. DISCUSSION Overall, reliability of the 1-month GCPS is equal to or better than the 6-months version for pain intensity, disability days, pain interference, CPG, and high-impact pain. However, consistency between versions is lower for measures of disability days and interference, and for the derived measures of CPG and high-impact pain; highly skewed distributions and increasing disagreement in reported status over the time periods affect the measures of function. Therefore, we recommend that GCPS-1 month only be used to calculate pain intensity and pain interference.
