Abstract
OBJECTIVE This study examined (a) whether there are a subgroup of cancer patients experiencing the selected psycho-neurological symptoms as a cluster (depression, cognitive impairment, fatigue, sleep disturbance, and pain); (b) whether demographic and clinical characteristics and pro-inflammatory cytokines (IL-1α, IL-1β, IL-4, IL-6, TNF-alpha) are associated with subgroup membership; and (c) whether the activity of indolamine-2.3 dioxygenase(IDO) is associated with pro-inflammatory cytokine activity and psycho-neurological symptom cluster experience. METHODS This was a prospective cohort study where 149 hematologic patients were recruited from a university hospital and 65 healthy volunteers provided control data. Latent profile analyses were conducted to identify subgroups at two time points: the last day of chemotherapy and 1 week after chemotherapy completion. Influencing factors of subgroup membership were examined by logistic regression. RESULTS A substantial number of patients (33%, 34% at each time point) experienced the selected psycho-neurological symptoms as a cluster. Older age and elevated IL-1α and IL-6 were associated with experiencing the psycho-neurological symptom cluster. IDO activity was higher in the patients experiencing psycho-neurological symptom cluster; and was positively associated with IL-6. Symptom severity, IL-1α, IL-6, and IDO activity were all significantly higher in cancer patients than in the healthy controls. The findings were preserved across time points. CONCLUSIONS The activation of pro-inflammatory cytokines and their cross-talk with IDO may be a common biological mechanism, underlying a psycho-neurological symptom cluster experience. The novel approaches for symptom assessment and management can be developed by assessing multiple psycho-neurological symptoms as a cluster and by targeting their common biological pathway.

Abstract
BACKGROUND: Although studies have indicated significant effects of attention-deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD) on work participation, the mechanism underlying work participation of adults with ADHD is still unclear. OBJECTIVE: Following the World Health Organization’s international classification of functioning, disability, and health concepts, this study compares sensory processing and sleep quality (body functions) with work participation among adults with and without ADHD and examines predictive relationships among adults with ADHD. METHODS: Sixty-nine adults with ADHD and 52 matched controls completed a sociodemographic questionnaire, the Adult/Adolescent Sensory Profile, the Mini Sleep Questionnaire, and the Occupational Questionnaire. RESULTS: The ADHD group had significantly poorer body functions, sensory processing (i.e., low-registration, sensory-sensitivity, and sensation-avoiding patterns), sleep quality, and work performance compared to the control group (p < .001). For adults with ADHD, sensory sensitivity accounted for 10.9%, and sleep quality accounted for 22.0%, of the variance in their work performance. CONCLUSIONS: The deficient body functions of adults with ADHD may affect their work performance and therefore should be considered in further research, as well as in clinical applications.

Abstract
In this study, we have analyzed the intervention effect of music on insomnia of college students. For this purpose, we have selected college students of grade 2019 facing insomnia in our school and randomly selected 96 of them as research objects after the informed consent of the students. 96 subjects were randomly divided into two groups, observation group and control group, 48 cases in each group. No music intervention was applied to the control group, while music intervention was applied to the observation group. After intervention, all college students in the observation group and the control group were given PSQI scale and filled it out. The score was collected on the spot and counted immediately to evaluate the intervention effect of music on college students' insomnia. After music intervention, the score of each dimension of PSQI showed that the observation group was significantly better than the control group in falling asleep time, quality of sleep, hypnotic drugs, sleep efficiency, sleep disorders, and daytime dysfunction, and the results were statistically significant (P < 0.05). There was a statistically significant difference in insomnia between the two groups (P < 0.05), and the intervention efficacy of insomnia in the observation group was better than that in the control group. The observation group had a higher satisfaction with the insomnia intervention effect, and the total satisfaction was 89.58%. The control group had low satisfaction with the intervention effect of insomnia, the total satisfaction was 52.08%, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Through the application of the music intervention method, the sleep quality of college students had been improved, and the insomnia intervention effect was obvious; therefore, music intervention for college students' insomnia had a good intervention effect and had the value of promotion.

Abstract
University students experience high prevalence of mental health problems and exacerbation of mental health difficulties, including sleep disturbances and stress during their studies. Stress and poor sleep quality and/or insomnia are interlinked outcomes for this population. The aim was to conduct a systematic review, and meta-analyses, of the relationships between sleep quality and/or insomnia with stress in students. Full-text articles of studies exploring the associations of stress with poor sleep quality and/or insomnia in undergraduate students using validated tools and published in peer-reviewed journals were eligible for inclusion. Thirty-four studies, resulting in 37 effect sizes, included and all were suitable for meta-analysis. The weighted pooled effect size between sleep quality and stress was for 0.39 (25 studies, n = 10,065), whereas a slightly higher pooled association of 0.41 was demonstrated for insomnia and stress (12 studies, n = 5564.5). Pooled associations show moderate effects for associations between sleep quality, insomnia and stress in undergraduate students. High heterogeneity in meta-analyses was found, suggesting the findings should be considered cautiously. Future research should focus on longitudinal studies exploring sleep difficulties across the academic year, whilst university services should consider psychoeducation for stress and sleep in university students, especially during transition to university.

Abstract
Sleep quality is an important clinical construct since it is increasingly common for people to complain about poor sleep quality and its impact on daytime functioning. Moreover, poor sleep quality can be an important symptom of many sleep and medical disorders. However, objective measures of sleep quality, such as polysomnography, are not readily available to most clinicians in their daily routine, and are expensive, time-consuming, and impractical for epidemiological and research studies., Several self-report questionnaires have, however, been developed. The present review aims to address their psychometric properties, construct validity, and factorial structure while presenting, comparing, and discussing the measurement properties of these sleep quality questionnaires. A systematic literature search, from 2008 to 2020, was performed using the electronic databases PubMed and Scopus, with predefined search terms. In total, 49 articles were analyzed from the 5734 articles found. The psychometric properties and factor structure of the following are reported: Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), Athens Insomnia Scale (AIS), Insomnia Severity Index (ISI), Mini-Sleep Questionnaire (MSQ), Jenkins Sleep Scale (JSS), Leeds Sleep Evaluation Questionnaire (LSEQ), SLEEP-50 Questionnaire, and Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS). As the most frequently used subjective measurement of sleep quality, the PSQI reported good internal reliability and validity; however, different factorial structures were found in a variety of samples, casting doubt on the usefulness of total score in detecting poor and good sleepers. The sleep disorder scales (AIS, ISI, MSQ, JSS, LSEQ and SLEEP-50) reported good psychometric properties; nevertheless, AIS and ISI reported a variety of factorial models whereas LSEQ and SLEEP-50 appeared to be less useful for epidemiological and research settings due to the length of the questionnaires and their scoring. The MSQ and JSS seemed to be inexpensive and easy to administer, complete, and score, but further validation studies are needed. Finally, the ESS had good internal consistency and construct validity, while the main challenges were in its factorial structure, known-group difference and estimation of reliable cut-offs. Overall, the self-report questionnaires assessing sleep quality from different perspectives have good psychometric properties, with high internal consistency and test-retest reliability, as well as convergent/divergent validity with sleep, psychological, and socio-demographic variables. However, a clear definition of the factor model underlying the tools is recommended and reliable cut-off values should be indicated in order for clinicians to discriminate poor and good sleepers.

Abstract
Objectives: The present study aimed at comparing the sleepiness curve of young men with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) to that of young men without ADHD before, during, and after a night of sleep deprivation. Participants: Thirty young men (age 18-30) of whom 14 were diagnosed with ADHD combined type (ADHD-C) and 16 without ADHD. Methods: The participants' sleep was monitored for 5 days via actigraphy. Subsequently, the participants were kept continuously awake in a controlled environment for 25 hr (8:00 a.m.-9:00 a.m.). The sleepiness of the participants was assessed every hour by the Karolinska Sleepiness Scale (KSS) in order to obtain the sleepiness curve of both study groups. Results: Actigraphy data demonstrated that the two groups did not differ in their total sleep time, sleep onset latency, or sleep efficiency during the 5 nights preceding the experimental session. However, during the experimental session, the ADHD group demonstrated higher sleepiness scores, particularly following midnight and on the morning following the night of sleep deprivation. Moreover, on the morning following sleep deprivation the proportion of participants reporting extreme levels of sleepiness (KSS > 7) was significantly higher in the ADHD group than in the control group. Conclusions: Young men with ADHD suffer from sleepiness more than their counterparts from the general population, and are particularly vulnerable to the effects of sleep deprivation on sleepiness. As excessive daytime sleepiness negatively affects cognition and increases the risk for motor vehicle crash and other accidents, these findings may have important clinical implications.

Abstract
Objective The study was conducted to validate the reliability and factor structure of the Chinese version of the Readiness for Hospital Discharge Scale (RHDS-CH) for people living with HIV (PLWH). Methods From May 2017 to November 2017, a cross-sectional survey was performed in two AIDS inpatient departments located in two cities in Hunan, China. Reliability was evaluated by examining the internal consistency and split-half reliability of the items. A confirmatory factor analysis was performed to assess the factor structure of the RHDS-CH, and the model was revised according to the modification index. Results Cronbach’s α for the RHDS-CH was 0.912, and the split-half reliability of the total scale was 0.831. Initially, the results of the confirmatory factor analysis indicated that the sample did not fit this four-factor model and its 23 items well (χ2/df = 3, GFI =0.772, TLI = 0.823, CFI = 0.844, RMSEA = 0.100). To improve the model fit indices, we performed model modification with the guidance of modification indices. Finally, the model fit indices showed an acceptable fit to the data (χ2/df = 2.141, GFI = 0.844, TLI = 0.899, CFI = 0.915, RMSEA = 0.075). Coefficients of corrected item-total correlation of the RHDS-CH ranged from 0.435 to 0.726. Conclusion This study is the first to examine the psychometric properties of the RHDS-CH for PLWH. Our findings showed good reliability and confirmed the four-factor structure model for PLWH.
