Aptamer-mediated therapeutic strategies provide a potential approach for cancer

The treatment of tumors still faces considerable challenges. While conventional treatments such as surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy provide some curative effects, their side effects and limitations highlight the importance of finding more precise treatment strategies. Aptamers have become an important target molecule in the field of drug delivery systems due to their good affinity and targeting, and they have gradually become an important link from basic research to clinical application. In this paper, we discussed the latest progress of aptamer-mediated nanodrugs, as well as aptamer-mediated photodynamic therapy, photothermal therapy, and immunotherapy strategies for tumor treatment, and explored the possibility of aptamer-mediated therapy for accurate tumor treatment. The purpose of this review is to provide novel insights for treating tumors with aptamer-mediated therapies by summarizing these innovative strategies, thereby ultimately enhancing the therapeutic efficacy for cancer patients.

Emerging Biohybrids of Aptamer-Based Nano-Biosensing Technologies for Effective Early Cancer Detection

Cancer is a leading global cause of mortality, which underscores the imperative of early detection for improved patient outcomes. Biorecognition molecules, especially aptamers, have emerged as highly effective tools for early and accurate cancer cell identification. Aptamers, with superior versatility in synthesis and modification, offer enhanced binding specificity and stability compared with conventional antibodies. Hence, this article reviews diagnostic strategies employing aptamer-based biohybrid nano-biosensing technologies, focusing on their utility in detecting cancer biomarkers and abnormal cells. Recent developments include the synthesis of nano-aptamers using diverse nanomaterials, such as metallic nanoparticles, metal oxide nanoparticles, carbon-derived substances, and biohybrid nanostructures. The integration of these nanomaterials with aptamers significantly enhances sensitivity and specificity, promising innovative and efficient approaches for cancer diagnosis. This convergence of nanotechnology with aptamer research holds the potential to revolutionize cancer treatment through rapid, accurate, and non-invasive diagnostic methods.

Platinum Nanoparticles-Enhanced Ferritin-Mn2+ Interaction for Magnetic Resonance Contrast Enhancement and Efficient Tumor Photothermal Therapy

Nanoplatforms with high Mn2+ coordination can display efficient T1 magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) contrast enhancement. Herein, an earth gravity-like method for enhanced interaction between Ferritin (Fn) and Mn2+ by the growth of platinum nanoparticles (PNs) in Fn's cage structure via a biomineralization method is first proposed. Fn has good biocompatibility and can provide a suitable growth site for PNs. PNs with negative charge have certain attraction to Mn2+ with positive charge, improving Fn's loading capacity of Mn2+ by attraction force; and thus, achieving efficient MRI contrast enhancement. In addition, PNs can be applied for efficient photothermal therapy (PTT) under near infrared ray (NIR) irradiation. Systemic delivery of this nanoplatform shows obvious MRI contrast enhancement and tumor progression inhibition after NIR irradiation, as well as no obvious side effects. Therefore, this nanoplatform has the potential to contribute to nanotheranostic for clinical transformation.

Biomimetic Integrated Nanozyme for Flare and Recurrence of Gouty Arthritis

Flare and multiple recurrences pose significant challenges in gouty arthritis. Traditional treatments provide temporary relief from inflammation but fail to promptly alleviate patient pain or effectively prevent subsequent recurrences. It should also be noted that both anti-inflammation and metabolism of uric acid are necessary for gouty arthritis, calling for therapeutic systems to achieve these two goals simultaneously. In this study, we propose a biomimetic integrated nanozyme, HMPB-Pt@MM, comprising platinum nanozyme and hollow Prussian blue. It demonstrates anti-inflammatory properties by eliminating reactive oxygen species and reducing infiltration of inflammatory macrophages. Additionally, it rapidly targets inflamed ankles through the camouflage of macrophage membranes. Furthermore, HMPB-Pt@MM exhibits urate oxidase-like capabilities, continuously metabolizing locally elevated uric acid concentrations, ultimately inhibiting multiple recurrences of gouty arthritis. In summary, HMPB-Pt@MM integrates ROS clearance with uric acid metabolism, offering a promising platform for the treatment of gouty arthritis.

Pt/Zn-TCPP Nanozyme-Based Flexible Immunoassay for Dual-Mode Pressure-Temperature Monitoring of Low-Abundance Proteins

Pressure and temperature, as common physical parameters, are important for monitoring human health. In contrast, single-mode monitoring is prone to causing experimental errors. Herein, we innovatively designed a dual-mode flexible sensing platform based on a platinum/zinc-meso-tetrakis(4-carboxyphenyl)porphyrin (Pt/Zn-TCPP) nanozyme for the quantitative monitoring of carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) in biological fluids with pressure and temperature readouts. The Pt/Zn-TCPP nanozyme with catalytic and photothermal efficiencies was synthesized by means of integrating photosensitizers into porous materials. The flexible sensing system after the antigen-antibody reaction recognized the pressure using a flexible skin-like pressure sensor with a digital multimeter readout, whereas the temperature was acquired via the photoheat conversion system of the Pt/Zn-TCPP nanozyme under 808 nm near-infrared (NIR) irradiation using a portable NIR imaging camera on a smartphone. Meanwhile, the dual-mode flexible sensing system was carried out on a homemade three-dimensional (3D)-printed device. Results revealed that the developed dual-mode immunosensing platform could exhibit good pressure and temperature responses within the dynamic range of 0.5-100 ng mL-1 CEA with the detection limits of 0.24 and 0.13 ng mL-1, respectively. In addition, the pressure and temperature were sensed simultaneously without crosstalk interference. Importantly, the dual-mode flexible immunosensing system can effectively avoid false alarms during the measurement, thus providing great potential for simple and low-cost development for point-of-care testing.

Single-atom nanozymes shines diagnostics of gastrointestinal diseases

Various clinical symptoms of digestive system, such as infectious, inflammatory, and malignant disorders, have a profound impact on the quality of life and overall health of patients. Therefore, the chase for more potent medicines is both highly significant and urgent. Nanozymes, a novel class of nanomaterials, amalgamate the biological properties of nanomaterials with the catalytic activity of enzymes, and have been engineered for various biomedical applications, including complex gastrointestinal diseases (GI). Particularly, because of their distinctive metal coordination structure and ability to maximize atom use efficiency, single-atom nanozymes (SAzymes) with atomically scattered metal centers are becoming a more viable substitute for natural enzymes. Traditional nanozyme design strategies are no longer able to meet the current requirements for efficient and diverse SAzymes design due to the diversification and complexity of preparation processes. As a result, this review emphasizes the design concept and the synthesis strategy of SAzymes, and corresponding bioenzyme-like activities, such as superoxide dismutase (SOD), peroxidase (POD), oxidase (OXD), catalase (CAT), and glutathione peroxidase (GPx). Then the various application of SAzymes in GI illnesses are summarized, which should encourage further research into nanozymes to achieve better application characteristics.

Light-Triggered Nanozymes Remodel the Tumor Hypoxic and Immunosuppressive Microenvironment for Ferroptosis-Enhanced Antitumor Immunity

Cancer immunotherapy holds significant promise for addressing diverse malignancies. Nevertheless, its efficacy remains constrained by the intricate tumor immunosuppressive microenvironment. Herein, a light-triggered nanozyme Fe-TCPP-R848-PEG (Fe-MOF-RP) was designed for remodeling the immunosuppressive microenvironment. The Fe-TCPP-MOFs were utilized not only as a core catalysis component against tumor destruction but also as a biocompatible delivery vector of an immunologic agonist, improving its long circulation and tumor enrichment. Concurrently, it catalyzes the decomposition of H2O2 within the tumor, yielding oxygen to augment photodynamic therapy. The induced ferroptosis, in synergy with photodynamic therapy, prompts the liberation of tumor-associated antigens from tumor cells inducing immunogenic cell death. Phototriggered on-demand release of R848 agonists stimulated the maturation of dendritic cells and reverted the tumor-promoting M2 phenotypes into adoptive M1 macrophages, which further reshaped the tumor immunosuppressive microenvironment. Notably, the nanozyme effectively restrains well-established tumors, such as B16F10 melanoma. Moreover, it demonstrates a distal tumor-inhibiting effect upon in situ light treatment. What is more, in a lung metastasis model, it elicits robust immune memory, conferring enduring protection against tumor rechallenge. Our study presents a straightforward and broadly applicable strategy for crafting nanozymes with the potential to effectively thwart cancer recurrence and metastasis.

Recent advances in functional nucleic acid decorated nanomaterials for cancer imaging and therapy

Nanomaterials possess unusual physicochemical properties including unique optical, magnetic, electronic properties, and large surface-to-volume ratio. However, nanomaterials face some challenges when they were applied in the field of biomedicine. For example, some nanomaterials suffer from the limitations such as poor selectivity and biocompatibility, low stability, and solubility. To address the above-mentioned obstacles, functional nucleic acid has been widely served as a powerful and versatile ligand for modifying nanomaterials because of their unique characteristics, such as ease of modification, excellent biocompatibility, high stability, predictable intermolecular interaction and recognition ability. The functionally integrating functional nucleic acid with nanomaterials has produced various kinds of nanocomposites and recent advances in applications of functional nucleic acid decorated nanomaterials for cancer imaging and therapy were summarized in this review. Further, we offer an insight into the future challenges and perspectives of functional nucleic acid decorated nanomaterials.

Photothermal-promoted O2/OH generation of gold nanotetrapod @ platinum nano-islands for enhanced catalytic/photodynamic therapy

Ultrasmall platinum (Pt) nanozymes are used for catalytic therapy and oxygen (O2)-dependent photodynamic therapy (PDT) by harnessing the dual-enzyme activities of catalase (CAT) and peroxidase (POD). However, their applications as nanocatalysts are limited due to their low catalytic activity. Herein, we constructed a photothermal-promoted bimetallic nanoplatform (AuNTP@Pt-IR808) by depositing ultrasmall Pt nano-islands and modifying 1-(5-Carboxypentyl)-2-(2-(3-(2-(1-(5-carboxypentyl)-3,3-dimethylindolin-2-ylidene)ethylidene)-2-chlorocyclohex-1-en-1-yl)vinyl)-3,3-dimethyl-3H-indol-1-ium bromide (IR808) on gold nanotetrapod (AuNTP) with CAT/POD activities to enhance PDT/catalytic therapy. In the tumor microenvironment, the ultrasmall Pt can catalyze endogenous hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) to produce O2, relieving tumor hypoxia and enhancing the PDT performance. Moreover, AuNTP integration into the bimetallic nanoplatform showed good electron transfer properties and promoted the POD activity of ultrasmall Pt. Importantly, AuNTP@Pt-IR808 possessed higher photothermal conversion performance than single AuNTPs, which enhanced photothermal therapy (PTT). It also accelerated the CAT/POD dual-enzyme activities, and promoted the generation of singlet oxygen (1O2) and hydroxyl radical (OH). By enhancing the performances of PTT/PDT/catalytic therapy, the developed AuNTP@Pt-IR808 nanoplatform demonstrated good antitumor efficacy against breast cancer.

Strategies for utilizing covalent organic frameworks as host materials for the integration and delivery of bioactives

Covalent organic frameworks (COFs), a new and developing class of porous framework materials, are considered a type of promising carrier for the integration and delivery of bioactives, which have diverse fascinating merits, such as a large specific surface area, designable and specific porosity, stable and orderly framework structure, and various active sites. However, owing to the significant differences among bioactives (including drugs, proteins, nucleic acid, and exosomes), such as size, structure, and physicochemical properties, the interaction between COFs and bioactives also varies. In this review, we firstly summarize three strategies for the construction of single or hybrid COF-based matrices for the delivery of cargos, including encapsulation, covalent binding, and coordination bonding. Besides, their smart response release behaviors are also categorized. Subsequently, the applications of cargo@COF biocomposites in biomedicine are comprehensively summarized, including tumor therapy, central nervous system (CNS) modulation, biomarker analysis, bioimaging, and anti-bacterial therapy. Finally, the challenges and opportunities in this field are briefly discussed.

Engineered macrophage-derived cellular vesicles for NIR-II fluorescence imaging-guided precise cancer photo-immunotherapy

Significant progress has been made in cancer immunotherapy; however, challenges such as interpatient variability, limited treatment response, and severe side effects persist. Although nanoimmunotherapy has emerged as a promising approach, the construction of precise and efficient nanosystems remain formidable challenges. Herein, a multifunctional nanoplatform was developed using macrophage-derived cellular vesicles (MCVs) for NIR-II imaging-guided precise cancer photo-immunotherapy. MCVs exhibited excellent tumor targeting and TAMs re-education effects, serving as both delivery carriers and therapeutic agents. Through amide bond, indocyanine green (ICG) was conjugated to the surface of MCVs, enabling in vivo tracking of MCVs distribution. Notably, ICG exhibited dual functionality as a NIR-II fluorescent agent and possessed photodynamic and photothermal effects, enabling the conversion of light energy into chemical or heat energy to eliminate tumor cells. This precision phototherapy triggered immunogenic cell death (ICD) of tumor, thereby activating the anti-tumor immune response. Additionally, MCVs loaded with R848, a toll-like receptor agonist, augmented the ICD-induced anti-tumor immunity. Animal experiments confirmed that MCVs-mediated photoimmunotherapy promoted T cell infiltration, inhibited tumor growth, and improved survival rates. In conclusion, we have developed a promising precision immunotherapy strategy capable of enhancing the immune response while mitigating off-target effects. These findings offer encouraging prospects for clinical translation.

Covalent Organic Frameworks: Opportunities for Rational Materials Design in Cancer Therapy

Nanomedicines are extensively used in cancer therapy. Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) are crystalline organic porous materials with several benefits for cancer therapy, including porosity, design flexibility, functionalizability, and biocompatibility. This review examines the use of COFs in cancer therapy from the perspective of reticular chemistry and function-oriented materials design. First, the modification sites and functionalization methods of COFs are discussed, followed by their potential as multifunctional nanoplatforms for tumor targeting, imaging, and therapy by integrating functional components. Finally, some challenges in the clinical translation of COFs are presented with the hope of promoting the development of COF-based anticancer nanomedicines and bringing COFs closer to clinical trials.

NIR-Activatable Heterostructured Nanoadjuvant CoP/NiCoP Executing Lactate Metabolism Interventions for Boosted Photocatalytic Hydrogen Therapy and Photoimmunotherapy

Near-infrared (NIR) laser-induced photoimmunotherapy has aroused great interest due to its intrinsic noninvasiveness and spatiotemporal precision, while immune evasion evoked by lactic acid (LA) accumulation severely limits its clinical outcomes. Although several metabolic interventions have been devoted to ameliorate immunosuppression, intracellular residual LA still remains a potential energy source for oncocyte proliferation. Herein, an immunomodulatory nanoadjuvant based on a yolk-shell CoP/NiCoP (CNCP) heterostructure loaded with the monocarboxylate transporter 4 inhibitor fluvastatin sodium (Flu) is constructed to concurrently relieve immunosuppression and elicit robust antitumor immunity. Under NIR irradiation, CNCP heterojunctions exhibit superior photothermal performance and photocatalytic production of reactive oxygen species and hydrogen. The continuous heat then facilitates Flu release to restrain LA exudation from tumor cells, whereas cumulative LA can be depleted as a hole scavenger to improve photocatalytic efficiency. Subsequently, potentiated photocatalytic therapy can not only initiate systematic immunoreaction, but also provoke severe mitochondrial dysfunction and disrupt the energy supply for heat shock protein synthesis, in turn realizing mild photothermal therapy. Consequently, LA metabolic remodeling endows an intensive cascade treatment with an optimal safety profile to effectually suppress tumor proliferation and metastasis, which offers a new paradigm for the development of metabolism-regulated immunotherapy.

Glowing Octopus-Inspired Nanomachine: A Versatile Aptasensor for Efficient Capture, Imaging, Separation, and NIR-Triggered Release of Cancer Cells

The separation and analysis of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) in liquid biopsy significantly facilitated clinical cancer diagnosis and personalized therapy. However, current methods face challenges in simultaneous efficient capturing, separation, and imaging of CTCs, and most of the devices cannot be reused/regenerated. We present here an innovative glowing octopus-inspired nanomachine (GOIN), capable of capturing, imaging, separating, and controlling the release of cancer cells from whole blood and normal cells. The GOIN comprises an aptamer-decorated magnetic fluorescent covalent organic framework (COF), which exhibits a strong affinity for nucleolin-overexpressed cancer cells through a multivalent binding effect. The captured cancer cells can be directly imaged using the intrinsic stable fluorescence of the COF layer in the GOIN. Employing magnet and NIR laser assistance enables easy separation and mild photothermal release of CTCs from the normal cells and the nanomachine without compromising cell viability. Moreover, the GOIN demonstrates a reusing capability, as the NIR-triggered CTC release is mild and nondestructive, allowing the GOIN to be reused at least three times.

Hydrolysis enabled specific colorimetric assay of carbosulfan with sensitivity manipulation via metal-doped or metal-free carbon nanozyme

Precise determination of the carbamate pesticide carbosulfan is crucial for assessing the associated risks in food and environment. Due to the strong interaction between carbosulfan and target enzyme, current methods primarily depend on the acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibition strategy, which generally lacks selectivity. In this study, we propose a nanozyme colorimetric sensor for the specific carbosulfan detection, based on its distinctive hydrolysis property. In contrast to other pesticides, carbosulfan can be hydrolyzed to produce the reductive sulfide compound by the cleavage of N-S bond under acidic condition, thereby significantly hindering the nanozyme-mediated chromogenic reaction. Consequently, the absorbance is significantly correlated with carbosulfan concentration. Furthermore, the influence of nanozyme type is disclosed, and two oxidase-like carbon nanozymes were formulated, namely metal-free NC and metal-based CeO2@NC. However, the distinct active sites significantly impact the proposed sensor. For CeO2@NC-based sensor, the produced sulfide compounds not only poison Ce active site, but also consume the reactive oxygen species, thereby, exhibiting high sensitivity with low detection limit of 3.3 nM. By contrast, the metal-free nature of NC allows the assay to remain unaffected by coordination effects, exhibiting superior anti-interference capability. This work not only offers an efficient alternative to the conventional method for detecting carbosulfan specifically, but also shed light on the role of metal-based or metal-free nanozyme among analytical applications.

A covalent organic framework-derived M1 macrophage mimic nanozyme for precise tumor-targeted imaging and NIR-II photothermal catalytic chemotherapy

Nanoprobes for efficient tumor-targeted imaging and therapy are urgently needed for clinical tumor theranostics. Herein, inspired by the heterogeneity of the tumor microenvironment, we report a covalent organic framework (COF)-derived biomimetic nanozyme for precise tumor-targeted imaging and NIR-II photothermal-catalysis-enhanced chemotherapy (PTCEC). Using a crystalline nanoscale COF as the precursor, a peroxidase-like porous N-doped carbonous nanozyme (PNC) was obtained, which was cloaked with an M1 macrophage cell membrane (M1m) to create a multifunctional biomimetic nanoprobe for tumor-targeted imaging and therapy. The M1m coating enabled the nanoprobe to target cancer cells and tumor tissues for highly efficient tumor imaging and drug delivery. The peroxidase-like activity of the PNC allowed for the conversion of intratumoral H2O2 into toxic ˙OH that synergized with its NIR-II photothermal effect to strengthen the chemotherapy. Therefore, highly efficient tumor-targeted imaging and NIR-II PTCEC were realized with an M1 macrophage mimic nanoprobe. This work provides a feasible tactic for a biomimetic theranostic nanoprobe and will inspire the development of new bioactive nanomaterials for clinical tumor theranostic applications.

A Covalent Organic Framework Derived N-doped Carbon Nanozyme as the All-rounder for Targeted Catalytic Therapy and NIR-II Photothermal Therapy of Cancer

Nanomaterials with intrinsic enzyme-like activities (nanozymes) have gained significant attention in cancer catalytic therapy; however, developing metal-free nanozymes with multivariant enzyme-like activity as the "all-rounder" for cancer therapy remains challenging. Herein, a covalent organic framework (COF) derived carbon-based nanozyme is rationally devised to achieve synergistic catalytic therapy and second near-infrared (NIR-II) photothermal therapy of cancer. The developed nanozyme possesses multivariant enzyme-like activities, including oxidase (OXD)-like, catalase (CAT)-like, and peroxidase (POD)-like catalytic activities, which enables the nanozyme to produce adequate reactive oxygen species (ROS) for cancer cell killing. Furthermore, the nanozyme showed excellent photothermal converting activity that could kill cancer cells upon NIR-II laser irradiation, owing to the strong NIR-II absorption capacity of carbon-based materials. It is also worth noting that the nanozyme exhibited cytotoxicity specifically in tumor tissue profiting from the discrepant H2O2 level between tumor and normal tissue and the spatiotemporal controllability of laser irradiation. This work may inspire further development of intelligent nanozymes in biological applications across broad therapeutic and biomedical fields.

Recent Development and Application of "Nanozyme" Artificial Enzymes-A Review

Nanozymes represent a category of nano-biomaterial artificial enzymes distinguished by their remarkable catalytic potency, stability, cost-effectiveness, biocompatibility, and degradability. These attributes position them as premier biomaterials with extensive applicability across medical, industrial, technological, and biological domains. Following the discovery of ferromagnetic nanoparticles with peroxidase-mimicking capabilities, extensive research endeavors have been dedicated to advancing nanozyme utilization. Their capacity to emulate the functions of natural enzymes has captivated researchers, prompting in-depth investigations into their attributes and potential applications. This exploration has yielded insights and innovations in various areas, including detection mechanisms, biosensing techniques, and device development. Nanozymes exhibit diverse compositions, sizes, and forms, resembling molecular entities such as proteins and tissue-based glucose. Their rapid impact on the body necessitates a comprehensive understanding of their intricate interplay. As each day witnesses the emergence of novel methodologies and technologies, the integration of nanozymes continues to surge, promising enhanced comprehension in the times ahead. This review centers on the expansive deployment and advancement of nanozyme materials, encompassing biomedical, biotechnological, and environmental contexts.

Nanophotocatalysts in biomedicine: Cancer therapeutic, tissue engineering, biosensing, and drug delivery applications

Photocatalysis can be considered as a green technology owing to its excellent potential for sustainability and fulfilling several principles of green chemistry. This process uses light radiation as the primary energy source, preventing or reducing the requirement for artificial light sources and exogenous catalytic entities. Photocatalysis has promising applications in biomedicine such as drug delivery, biosensing, tissue engineering, cancer therapeutics, etc. In targeted cancer therapeutics, photocatalysis can be employed in photodynamic therapy to form reactive oxygen species that damage cancerous cells' structure. Nanophotocatalysts can be used in targeted drug delivery, showing potential applications in nuclear-targeted drug delivery along with specific delivery of chemotherapeutics to cancer cells or tumor sites. On the other hand, in tissue engineering, nanophotocatalysts can be employed in designing scaffolds that promote cell growth and tissue regeneration. However, some important challenges pertaining to the performance of photocatalysis, large-scale production of nanophotocatalysts, optimization of reaction/synthesis conditions, long-term biosafety issues, stability, clinical translation, etc. still need further explorations. Herein, the most recent advancements pertaining to the biomedical applications of nanophotocatalysts are reflected, focusing on drug delivery, tissue engineering, biosensing, and cancer therapeutic potentials.

Immunomodulatory Nanosystems: Advanced Delivery Tools for Treating Chronic Wounds

The increasingly aging society led to a rise in the prevalence of chronic wounds (CWs), posing a significant burden to public health on a global scale. One of the key features of CWs is the presence of a maladjusted immune microenvironment characterized by persistent and excessive (hyper)inflammation. A variety of immunomodulatory therapies have been proposed to address this condition. Yet, to date, current delivery systems for immunomodulatory therapy remain inadequate and lack efficiency. This highlights the need for new therapeutic delivery systems, such as nanosystems, to manage the pathological inflammatory imbalance and, ultimately, improve the treatment outcomes of CWs. While a plethora of immunomodulatory nanosystems modifying the immune microenvironment of CWs have shown promising therapeutic effects, the literature on the intersection of immunomodulatory nanosystems and CWs remains relatively scarce. Therefore, this review aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the pathogenesis and characteristics of the immune microenvironment in CWs, discuss important advancements in our understanding of CW healing, and delineate the versatility and applicability of immunomodulatory nanosystems-based therapies in the therapeutic management of CWs. In addition, we herein also shed light on the main challenges and future perspectives in this rapidly evolving research field.

A gold nanoparticle engineered metal-organic framework nanoreactor for combined ferroptosis and mild photothermal therapy

We demonstrate a gold nanoparticle engineered metal-organic framework nanoreactor with photothermal, glucose oxidase-like and GSH-consuming performance to achieve the accumulation of hydroxyl radicals and the enhancement of the thermal sensitivity for combined ferroptosis and mild photothermal therapy.
