Abstract
It is urgently needed to develop high-performance method for tetracycline (TC) analysis to meet the growing concerns about food safety. Herein, a MOF of Ni2+-2,3,6,7,10,11-hexahydroxytriphenylene (Ni-HHTP) with peroxidase activity has been prepared and coated on a screen printing electrode, followed by non-covalent adsorption of tetracycline aptamer (TC-Apt) through the π-stacking. The spectroscopic and electrochemical assays show that TC-Apt can effectively enhance the nanozyme activity of Ni-HHTP using 3,3',5,5'-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB)/H2O2 as the probe. Upon binding with TC, the configuration of TC-Apt is changed and desorbs from the Ni-HHTP, resulting in the decrease of the nanozyme activity of aptasensor. Based on this principle, the target TC can be analyzed in concentrations ranging from 10 pM to 1.0 μM, with a detection limit of 1.9 pM. The aptsensor is also applicable for TC analysis in fresh Ctenopharyngodon idella meat and milk, which provides a new approach for TC residue monitoring in food.

Abstract
The coordination polymer was obtained based on cobalt trimesinate. It was characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction analysis and scanning electron microscopy. The polymer was studied as a sorbent for solid-phase extraction of tetracycline antibiotics. Cobalt trimesinate had a high adsorption capacity (400 mg/g). Antibiotic adsorption followed the pseudo-second-order kinetic model and the Freundlich isotherm model. The process proceeded spontaneously, as indicated by the calculated thermodynamic parameters. The resulting coordination polymer has good stability and recyclability. The possibility of using cobalt trimesinate for the determination of tetracycline in various milk samples was investigated. This work holds great promise for the development and application of a cobalt trimesinate-based coordination polymer for use in sample preparation to replace the time-consuming vacuum evaporation procedure with a relatively simple solid-phase extraction procedure.

Abstract
AbstractMetal–organic frameworks (MOFs) with high stability and porosity have gained great attention in bioanalysis due to their potential in improving sensitivity and robustness of assays. Herein, to improve both the stability and the emission intensity of Cu nanoclusters (CuNCs), in situ entrapment strategy of CuNCs into zeolitic imidazolate framework-8 (ZIF-8) is described. Blue emissive and stable CuNCs was prepared, for the first time, using thiamine hydrochloride as capping agents, and showed strong and stable emission at 440 nm when excited at 375 nm with fluorescence quantum yields 12%. Encapsulation of CuNC into ZIF-8 showed dramatic enhancement of the fluorescence intensity up to 53% fluorescence quantum yield. Furthermore, the CuNCs@ZIF-8 possesses better stability (more than three months) due to protective and confinement effect of MOFs. Upon the addition of tetracycline to CuNCs@ZIF-8 solution, the blue emission intensity was significantly decreased. The fluorescence ratio (Fo/F) against the concentration of tetracycline exhibited a satisfactory linear relationship from 1.0 to 10.0 µM with a detection limit (LOD) of 0.30 µM. The current probe was applied for quantification of tetracycline in drug sample with satisfactory accuracy and precision.

Abstract
The electrochemical detection of cephalosporins is a promising approach for the monitoring of cephalosporin levels in process waters. However, this class of antibiotics, like penicillins, is composed of chemically active molecules and susceptible to hydrolysis and aminolysis of the four membered β-lactam ring present. In order to develop a smart monitoring strategy for cephalosporins, the influence of degradation (hydrolysis and aminolysis) on the electrochemical fingerprint has to be taken into account. Therefore, an investigation was carried out to understand the changes of the voltammetric fingerprints upon acidic and alkaline degradation. Changes in fingerprints were correlated to the degradation pathways through the combination of square wave voltammetry and liquid chromatography quadrupole time-of-flight analysis. The characteristic electrochemical signals of the β-lactam ring disappeared upon hydrolysis. Additional oxidation signals that appeared after degradation were elucidated and linked to different degradation products, and therefore, enrich the voltammetric fingerprints with information of the state of the cephalosporins. The applicability of the electrochemical monitoring system was explored by the analysis of the intact and degraded industrial process waters containing the key intermediate 7-aminodeacetoxycephalosporanic acid (7-ADCA). Clearly, the intact process samples exhibited the expected core signals of 7-ADCA and could be quantified, while the degraded samples only showed the newly formed degradation products.

Abstract
In this paper, for the first time, the study of voltammetric determination of tetracycline antibiotic demeclocycline was conducted. The oxidation of compound was investigated using a commercially available boron-doped diamond electrode pretreated electrochemically (anodic and subsequent cathodic). Addition of anionic surfactant, sodium dodecylsulfate (SDS) and cationic surfactant, cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) to the demeclocycline-containing electrolyte solution at pH 2.0 and 9.0, respectively, was found to improve the sensitivity of the stripping voltammetric measurements. Employing square-wave stripping mode (after 30 s accumulation at open-circuit condition) in Britton-Robinson buffer, the limits of detection were found to be 1.17 μg mL-1 (2.3 × 10-6 M) for 4 × 10-4 SDS-containing buffer solution at pH 2, and 0.24 μg mL-1 (4.8 × 10-7 M) for 1 × 10-4 CTAB-containing buffer solution at pH 9.0. The feasibility of the developed approach for the quantification of demeclocycline was tested in urine samples.

Abstract
A fast, inexpensive and sensitive approach for the simultaneous determination of chlortetracycline, ampicilline and sarafloxacin in milk was developed using capillary electrophoresis coupled with an electrochemiluminescence detector. Under the optimal detection conditions, the linear ranges for chlortetracyline, ampicilline and sarafloxacin were 0.030-5.0, 0.050-5.0 and 0.0040-2.0 μg ml-1, respectively. The correlation coefficients of chlortetracycline, ampicilline and sarafloxacin were determined as 0.9997, 0.9952 and 0.9978, respectively. Detection limits (S/N = 3) of chlortetracycline, ampicilline and sarafloxacin were found as 0.017, 0.018 and 0.0013 μg ml-1, respectively. This method was successfully applied for the determination of chlortetracycline, ampicilline and sarafloxacin in milk. The recoveries were between 95.3% and 100%. The relative standard deviations of the detection limit and recovery were less than 2.6% and 3.2%, respectively.

Abstract
A colorimetric assay utilizing the formation of gold nanoparticles was developed to detect tetracycline antibiotics in fluidic samples. Tetracycline antibiotics showed the capability of directly reducing aurate salts into atomic gold which form gold nanoparticles spontaneously under proper conditions. The resulted gold nanoparticles showed characteristic plasmon absorbance at 526 nm, which can be visualized by naked eyes or with a spectrophotometer. UV-vis absorbance of the resulted gold nanoparticles is correlated directly with the concentrations of tetracycline antibiotics in the solution, allowing for quantitative colorimetric detection of tetracycline antibiotics. Reaction conditions, such as pH, temperature, reaction time, and ionic strength were optimized. Sensitivity of the colorimetric assay can be enhanced by the addition of gold nanoparticle seeds, a LOD as low as 20 ng mL(-1) can be achieved with the help of seed particles. The colorimetric assay showed minimum interference from ethanol, methanol, urea, glucose, and other antibiotics such as sulfonamides, amino glycosides etc. Validity of the method was also evaluated on urine samples spiked with tetracycline antibiotics. The method provides a broad spectrum detection method for rapid and sensitive detection of reductive substances such as tetracycline antibiotics in liquid and biological samples.

Abstract
Disposable amperometric magnetosensors, involving a mixture of modified-magnetic beads (MBs), for the multiplex screening of cephalosporins (CPHs), sulfonamides (SAs) and tetracyclines (TCs) antibiotic residues in milk are reported for the first time in this work. The multiplexed detection relies on the use of a mixture of target specific modified magnetic beads (MBs) and application of direct competitive assays using horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-labeled tracers. The amperometric responses measured at -0.20 V vs. the Ag pseudo-reference electrode of screen-printed carbon electrodes (SPCE) upon the addition of H2O2 in the presence of hydroquinone (HQ) as redox mediator, were used to monitor the extent of the different affinity reactions. The developed methodology, involving a simple and short pretreatment, allowed discrimination between no contaminated UHT and raw milk samples and samples containing antibiotic residues at the maximum residue limits (MRLs). The usefulness of the multiplexed magnetosensor was demonstrated by analyzing spiked milk samples in only 5 min. The results demonstrated that a clear discrimination of milk samples contaminated with antibiotics at their MRL level or their mixtures, allowing the identification of milk not complying with current legislation. These features make the developed methodology a promising alternative in the development of user-friendly devices for on-site analysis to ensure quality control for dairy products.
