Abstract
A new method based on the immobilization of 2-(Aminomethyl) thiazole on the multi-walled carbon nanotubes (AMTZ@MWCNTs) was used to extract manganese (Mn) in the human blood, serum, and urine samples. First, 20 mg of AMTZ@MWCNTs, 0.2 mL of acetone, and 0.1 g of ionic liquid (IL) were completely mixed and injected into 2.0 mL human samples by a microscale syringe at pH 5.5. After shaking and centrifuging, the Mn ions were extracted and separated through the ultrasound-assisted- ionic liquid-dispersive micro solid-phase extraction (UAS-IL-D-μ-SPE) before being determined by the graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry (GF-AAS). According to the results, manganese in the blood of hepatic patients had higher concentrations than healthy people (Aged 25-60, 50 N). The Mn adsorption capacities for the AMTZ@MWCNTs and MWCNTs adsorbents were achieved at 192.5 mg/g and 26.3 mg/g, respectively. In the high enrichment factor (HEF), the limit of detection (LOD), linear range (LR), and mean relative standard division (RSD%) were calculated at 15 ng/L, 0.05-3.8 μg/L, and 2.34, respectively (n = 10). The methodology was validated using certified reference material (CRM) and spiking standard solutions to human samples.

Abstract
This review mainly focuses on the development and application of ordered mesoporous silica materials for solid-phase extraction in recent years. It overviews not only bare mesoporous silica but also the functionalized mesoporous silica with organic groups, molecularly imprinted polymers, and magnetic materials. These mesoporous silica materials were used as the extraction adsorbents in cartridge solid-phase extraction, dispersive solid-phase extraction, magnetic solid-phase extraction, micro-solid-phase extraction and matrix solid phase dispersion. Coupled with atomic emission spectrometry, chromatography or other detection methods, these techniques efficiently extracted and sensitively determined various targets, such as metal ions, perfluorocarboxylic acids, pesticides, drugs, endocrine disruptors, phenols, flavanones, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, parabens and so on. Based on unique advantages of mesoporous silica materials, the developed analytical method successfully analyzed different matrix samples, like environmental water samples, soil samples, food samples, biological samples and cosmetics. In addition, the prospects of these materials in solid-phase extraction are presented, which can offer an outlook for the further development and applications.

Abstract
Simultaneous extraction and preconcentration of several potentially toxic metal ions have received great attention because of their toxicological effects on aquatic life and human beings. Multi-ion imprinted polymers (MIIP) have proved to be promising adsorbents with excellent specific recognition performance than single-ion imprinted polymer. Therefore, in this study, the MIIP strategy was employed for simultaneous extraction and enrichment of Sb(III), Cd(II), Pb(II) and Te(IV) ions from drinking water sources. MIIPs was used as a sorbent material in ultrasound-assisted dispersive solid phase extraction combined with inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (UA-DSPE/ICP-OES). The experimental parameters that affect the extraction efficiency and recovery of Sb(III), Cd(II), Pb(II) and Te(IV) were investigated using response surface methodology. Under optimum conditions, the enhancement factors, linear range, limit of detection (LOD) and limit of quantification (LOQ) were 37.7-51.1, 0.04-100 µg L-1, 0.011-0.28 µg L-1, 0.037-093 µg L-1, respectively. The intra-day (n = 10) and inter-day (n = 5) precision expressed as relative standard deviations (%RSDs,) were 3% and 5%, respectively. The proposed UA-DSPE/ICP-OES method was applied for preconcentration and determination of the trace metal ions in environmental samples. Furthermore, the accuracy of the method was evaluated using spiked recovery experiments and the percentage recoveries ranged from 95% to 99.3%.

Abstract
Magnetic dispersive micro-solid phase extraction (MDMSPE) was coupled with solidified floating organic drop microextraction (SFODME) for direct separation and preconcentration of Mn(II) and Mn(VII) before graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry determination. MDMSPE involved use of magnetic ZnFe2O4 nanotubes for adsorbing Mn(VII). Sorbent was isolated from aqueous phase by an external magnet. Mn(II) in upper solution from MDMSPE was further enriched by SFODME. This method avoids tedious pre-oxidation/pre-reduction operation and time-consuming centrifugation/filtration step. An enrichment factor of 200-fold was obtained. Detection limits of this method were 0.005 and 0.007 ng mL-1 for Mn(II) and Mn(VII) with relative standard deviations of 4.0% and 4.8% (n = 9), respectively. This method was successfully used for detection of Mn(II) and Mn(VII) in tap water, ice tea, energy drink, mineral water, sprite drink and carbonated drink. A certified reference material of water sample was analyzed with satisfactory results. Recoveries of spike experiments ranged from 92.5 to 106%.

Abstract
Natural product analysis has gained wide attention in recent years, especially for herbal medicines, which contain complex ingredients and play a significant clinical role in the therapy of numerous diseases. The constituents of natural products are usually found at low concentrations, and the matrices are complex. Thus, the extraction of target compounds from natural products before analysis by analytical instruments is very significant for human health and its wide application. The commonly used traditional extraction methods are time-consuming, using large amounts of sample and organic solvents, as well as expensive and inefficient. Recently, microextraction techniques have been used for natural product extraction to overcome the disadvantages of conventional extraction methods. In this paper, the successful applications of and recent developments in microextraction techniques including solvent-based and sorbent-based microextraction methods, in natural product analysis in recent years, especially in the last 5 years, are reviewed for the first time. Their features, advantages, disadvantages, and future development trends are also discussed.

Abstract
Nanomaterials have draw extensive attention from the scientists in recent years mainly due to their unique and attractive thermal, mechanical and electronic properties, as well as high surface to volume ratio and the possibility for surface functionalization. Whereas mono functional nanomaterials providing a single function, the preparation of core/shell nanoparticles allows different properties to be combined in one material. Their properties have been extensively exploited in different extraction techniques to improve the efficiency of separation and preconcentration, analytical selectivity and method reliability. The aim of this paper is to provide an updated revision of the most important features and application of nanomaterials (metallic, silica, polymeric and carbon-based) for solid phase extraction and microextraction techniques in speciation analysis of some metals and metalloids (As, Cr, Sb, Se). Emphasis will be placed on the presentation of the most representative works published in the last five years (2015-2019).

Abstract
In this work, mesoporous strontium titanate nanoparticles (SrTiO3 NPs) were synthesized through a single-step combustion process and were characterized by FT-IR, XRD, SEM-EDX, and TEM. The effects of main parameters that may influence the extraction process (i.e., pH, sorbent amount, time of extraction, eluting agent, and the presence concomitant ions) were investigated. The optimum extraction was achieved at pH 6, 50 mg of sorbent, 20-min shaking time, and 4.0 mL of 0.1 mol L-1 thiourea as desorption agent. Under these conditions, the maximum adsorption capacity was 155.6 mg g-1 with a preconcentration factor of 250 (for a 1000 mL sample solution). The calibration graph was linear up to 1000 μg L-1 and the limit of detection was 1.75 μg L-1. The precision (as relative standard deviation) was 2.53% (n = 10). The procedure was employed for the preconcentration of Pb2+ from blood and urine samples of bladder cancer patients before its determination by FAAS.

In this research, a sensitive, simple and rapid ultrasound assisted dispersive micro solid-phase extraction (USAD-µSPE) was developed using a synthesized core-shell magnetic mesoporous nanocomposite (Fe3O4@nSiO2@mSiO2-NH2) as an efficient adsorbent for the preconcentration and spectrofluorometric determination of ofloxacin (OFL) in biological samples. The synthesized adsorbent was characterized using FT-IR spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) analysis. The application of this magnetic nanocomposite as a sensitive solid phase for removal, preconcentration and spectrofluorometric quantification of trace amount of OFL was developed. Influence of various variables including pH, sorbent dosage, desorption solvent properties and sonication time on present method response was studied and optimized. The results showed that using the proposed method OFL can be determined in the linear concentration range of 1.0-500.0µgL-1 with a limit of detection as low as 0.21µgL-1 and relative standard deviation less than 2.5 (%). The results of human urine and blood plasma analysis showed that the method is a good candidate for biological sample analysis purposes.

Ultrasound-promoted dispersive micro solid-phase extraction of trace anti-hypertensive drugs from biological matrices using a sonochemically synthesized conductive polymer nanocomposite. ULTRASONICS SONOCHEMISTRY 2017; 39:12-24. Abstract
In this work, a rapid and efficient procedure named ultrasound meliorated dispersive micro solid-phase extraction followed by high performance liquid chromatography-ultra violet detection (US-D-μSPE-HPLC-UV) was developed for the pre-concentration of the main trace anti-hypertensive drugs in complex matrices. The basis of this procedure was a polypyrrole-sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate/zinc oxide (PPy-DBSNa/ZnO) nanocomposite. It was readily synthesized by the impressive way of in situ sonochemical oxidative polymerization in the presence of some additives such as FeCl3 and DBSNa, ultimately leading to the effective coating of PPy on the ZnO nanoparticle cores. Characterization of the proposed nanosorbent was performed by different techniques such as FESEM, XRD,EDX, and TGA, confirming the high quality and proper physico-chemical properties of the proposed sorbent. In order to better investigate the input variables, the central composite design (CCD) combined with the desirability function (DF) was utilized. The enriched optimum conditions consisted of the initial pH value of 11.8, 15mg of the PPy-DBSNa/ZnO nanocomposite, a sonication time of 4.6min, and 100μL of methanol, resulting in maximum responses at a relatively low extraction time with a logical DF. Under the optimum conditions, good linearity (5-5000, 2.5-3500, and 2.5-3000ngmL-1 for metoprolol, propranolol, and carvedilol, respectively, with the correlation of determinations (R2s) higher than 0.99), low limits of detection (LODs) (0.8-1.5ngmL-1), proper repeatabilities (relative standard deviation values (RSDs) below 6.3%, n=3), reasonable enrichment factors (EFs) (60-72), and good extraction recoveries (ERs) (higher than %75) were obtainable. These appropriate validations corroborated a good effectiveness of ultrasonic waves in the achievement of a supreme solid phase as well as a facile and efficient microextraction of the low therapeutic concentrations in human plasma and urine samples.
