Abstract
The diagnosis of prostate cancer using histopathology is reliant on the accurate interpretation of prostate tissue sections. Current standards rely on the assessment of Haematoxylin and Eosin (H&E) staining, which can be difficult to interpret and introduce inter-observer variability. Here, we present a digital pathology atlas and online resource of prostate cancer tissue micrographs for both H&E and the reinterpretation of samples using a novel set of three biomarkers as an interactive tool, where clinicians and scientists can explore high resolution histopathology from various case studies. The digital pathology prostate cancer atlas when used in conjunction with the biomarkers, will assist pathologists to accurately grade prostate cancer tissue samples.

Abstract
Artificial intelligence (AI) is a reality of our times, and it has been successfully implemented in all fields, including medicine. As a relatively new domain, all efforts are directed towards creating algorithms applicable in most medical specialties. Pathology, as one of the most important areas of interest for precision medicine, has received significant attention in the development and implementation of AI algorithms. This focus is especially important for achieving accurate diagnoses. Moreover, immunohistochemistry (IHC) serves as a complementary diagnostic tool in pathology. It can be further augmented through the application of deep learning (DL) and machine learning (ML) algorithms for assessing and analyzing immunohistochemical markers. Such advancements can aid in delineating targeted therapeutic approaches and prognostic stratification. This article explores the applications and integration of various AI software programs and platforms used in immunohistochemical analysis. It concludes by highlighting the application of these technologies to pathologies such as breast, prostate, lung, melanocytic proliferations, and hematologic conditions. Additionally, it underscores the necessity for further innovative diagnostic algorithms to assist physicians in the diagnostic process.

Abstract
Human papillomavirus (HPV), an oncogenic DNA virus, is the most common sexually transmitted virus and significant public health concern globally. Despite the substantial prevalence of HPV infection among men, routine testing remains elusive due to the lack of approved HPV tests and the complexity of detection methods. Various studies have explored the link between HPV and genitourinary cancers, revealing different associations influenced by geographic variation, histological subtype and methodological differences. These findings underscore the importance of further research to elucidate the role of HPV in male urogenital cancers. This comprehensive review delves into the intricate relationship between HPV and male genitourinary cancers, shedding light on the virus's oncogenic mechanisms and its reported prevalence. A deeper understanding of HPV's implications for male health is essential for advancing public health initiatives and reducing the burden of urogenital cancers worldwide.

Abstract
Introduction The prostate is a gland belonging to the male reproductive system. Aging results in the dysfunction of the prostate that may present as inflammation, enlargement, and cancer. Additionally, the diseases of the prostate including cancers are slow in progression, and therefore, it is difficult to diagnose them early. Hence, it is increasingly important for physicians to recommend histopathological examination of the prostate gland to identify, manage, and treat prostate cancers. This study was conducted to assess prostate diseases among biopsy specimen collected from patients with signs of prostate diseases. Materials and Methods This prospective study was conducted in the Department of Pathology, Deccan College of Medical Sciences, Owaisi Hospital, Hyderabad, between June 2012 and September 2014. All gross specimens (n = 300) of the prostate such as the needle biopsies of the prostate, transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) chips, and excised specimens of the prostate were included in the study. Histopathological examinations of the biopsies were performed for nuclear size, chromatin material, nucleoli, membrane thickness, irregularity, cytoplasmic granularity, staining, and cell border conspicuity. The biopsies were also assessed for lobule formation, secretions, polymorphonuclear leukocytes, lymphocytes, macrophages, connective tissue stromal cells, their arrangements, and acellular connective tissue material. Results Of 300 total prostatic biopsies performed, 56 (18.66%) were identified as inflammatory lesions of the prostate (prostatitis), 98 (32.66%) revealed benign prostatic lesions (benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)), 112 (37.33%) were identified as BPH with premalignant lesions, and 34 (11.33%) were revealed as malignant tumors of the prostate. Chronic prostatitis (67.85%) was the common inflammatory lesion. The majority (91.42%) revealed epithelial lesions compared to stromal lesions (08.58%). BPH was predominantly (28.00%) noticed among patients in the age group of 61-70 years. Prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia (PIN) was observed majorly (53.35%) in the age group of 61-70 years. Most of the prostatic cancers were identified as adenocarcinomas. However, three variants were also categorized as small cell carcinoma, signet ring cell carcinoma, and transitional cell carcinomas. Conclusions The results reveal that prostatic adenocarcinomas are predominant among the study population. Additionally, prostatic diseases including cancer are commonly noticed among people belonging to the age group of 61-70 years. More than one-third of patients showed BPH with premalignant lesions, and a majority of the study population showed evidence of chronic prostatitis.

Abstract
PURPOSE To analyse multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (mpMRI) characteristics and appearance of histopathologically proven non-cancerous intraprostatic findings focussing on quantity of prostatitis and atrophy in the peripheral zone. METHOD In this retrospective analysis consecutive patients with mpMRI followed by MRI/TRUS-fusion biopsy comprising targeted (TB) and systematic biopsy (SB) cores without prostate cancer (PC) at histopathology were included. Subgroup analysis was performed in younger men (≤50 years). The proportions of prostatitis and atrophy were quantified for each biopsy core based on histopathology. MRI findings in the peripheral zone (PZ) and index lesions (IL, most suspicious/representative lesion) were characterized regarding changes in T2w, ADC value, and enhancement of dynamic contrast enhancement (DCE) and correlated with quantity of prostatitis and atrophy. RESULTS Seventy-two patients were analysed. The median baseline characteristics were PSA 5.4 ng/ml (4.0-7.9), PI-RADS classification 3 (2-4), prostate volume 43 ml (33-57), and PSA density 0.13 ng/ml2 (0.10-0.19). Prostatitis was found in 44 % (n = 32) and atrophy in 65 % (n = 47) of cases. The quantity of atrophy demonstrated a significant correlation to T2w changes, ADC increase and DCE enhancement (p = 0.05, p = 0.05, p = 0.01), whereas quantity of prostatitis did not show any significant correlation to the MRI changes (p = 0.68, p = 0.58, p = 0.95). Quantity of prostatitis and atrophy increased with PI-RADS classification. Younger men had lower PSA (4.4 vs. 7.8 ml/ng; p < 0.001), smaller prostate volume (40 vs. 59 ml; p = 0.001), and lower PI-RADS classification (2-3 vs. 3-4; p = 0.005) and prostatitis and atrophy were less frequently observed (p ≤ 0.01, p = 0.03). CONCLUSIONS Quantity of atrophy and prostatitis had different influence on MRI characteristics and increased within higher PI-RADS classification. Younger men had diffuse hypointense changes at T2w images, but less quantity of prostatitis and atrophy.

Abstract
Diagnosis and assessment of patients with prostate cancer is dependent on accurate interpretation and grading of histopathology. However, morphology does not necessarily reflect the complex biological changes occurring in prostate cancer disease progression, and current biomarkers have demonstrated limited clinical utility in patient assessment. This study aimed to develop biomarkers that accurately define prostate cancer biology by distinguishing specific pathological features that enable reliable interpretation of pathology for accurate Gleason grading of patients. Online gene expression databases were interrogated and a pathogenic pathway for prostate cancer was identified. The protein expression of key genes in the pathway, including adaptor protein containing a pleckstrin homology (PH) domain, phosphotyrosine-binding (PTB) domain, and leucine zipper motif 1 (Appl1), Sortilin and Syndecan-1, was examined by immunohistochemistry (IHC) in a pilot study of 29 patients with prostate cancer, using monoclonal antibodies designed against unique epitopes. Appl1, Sortilin, and Syndecan-1 expression was first assessed in a tissue microarray cohort of 112 patient samples, demonstrating that the monoclonal antibodies clearly illustrate gland morphologies. To determine the impact of a novel IHC-assisted interpretation (the utility of Appl1, Sortilin, and Syndecan-1 labelling as a panel) of Gleason grading, versus standard haematoxylin and eosin (H&E) Gleason grade assignment, a radical prostatectomy sample cohort comprising 114 patients was assessed. In comparison to H&E, the utility of the biomarker panel reduced subjectivity in interpretation of prostate cancer tissue morphology and improved the reliability of pathology assessment, resulting in Gleason grade redistribution for 41% of patient samples. Importantly, for equivocal IHC-assisted labelling and H&E staining results, the cancer morphology interpretation could be more accurately applied upon re-review of the H&E tissue sections. This study addresses a key issue in the field of prostate cancer pathology by presenting a novel combination of three biomarkers and has the potential to transform clinical pathology practice by standardising the interpretation of the tissue morphology.

Abstract
Multiparametric MRI has been established as the most accurate non-invasive diagnostic imaging tool for detecting prostate cancer (PCa) in both the peripheral zone and the transition zone (TZ) using the PI-RADS (Prostate Imaging Reporting and Data System) v. 2.1 released in 2019 as a guideline to reporting. TZ PCa remains the most difficult to diagnose due to a markedly heterogeneous background and a wide variety of atypical imaging presentations as well as other anatomical and pathological processes mimicking PCa. The aim of this paper was to present a spectrum of PCa in the TZ, as a guide for radiologists.
