Abstract
Background There is a paucity of studies examining quality of life (QoL) in people with myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody-associated disease (MOGAD). Methods A cross-sectional, online, self-administered survey was distributed. Data elements included demographic and clinical characteristics, and QoL in Neurological Disorders (Neuro-QoL) short form questionnaires. Neuro-QoL domain scores were compared to reference populations, yielding standardized T-scores. Symptom severity was categorized as mild, moderate, or severe, using standard Neuro-QoL cut points. Results A total of 259 participants completed the survey. Neuro-QoL domain impairment was present in a significant proportion of respondents (anxiety: 58.1%, depression: 30.7%, stigma 29.8%, cognition: 58.5%, social function: 57.7%). T-scores were significantly worse than the reference population for anxiety (p<0.001), stigma (p=0.005), cognitive function (p<0.001) and social interactions (p<0.001). There was no clear association between QoL domains and demographics, disease-modifying therapy class, or type of clinical presentation. A relapsing vs monophasic disease course was associated with worse anxiety, stigma, cognition, and social interactions (p<0.05). Conclusion People with MOGAD may exhibit impairment in multiple domains of QoL. Practicing clinicians should be aware of this burden in MOGAD. Further research is needed to better understand factors associated with QoL impairment in MOGAD.

Abstract
PURPOSE To develop the PROMIS Pediatric Stigma (PPS) and Skin (PPS-Skin) by constructing a common metric for measuring stigma in children with various conditions, while capturing the unique features of each condition. METHODS Data from 860 children, ages 8-17, with a diagnosis of epilepsy, pNF (neurofibromatosis type 1 associated neurofibroma plexform), MD (muscular dystrophy), cancer, or skin conditions recruited from three projects were analyzed. Children with epilepsy, pNF and MD (sample-1) completed the original 18-item Neuro-QoL Stigma, while children with cancer and skin conditions (e.g., atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, and genetic skin disorders; sample-2) completed a 16-item version and 6 additional skin related items. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory analysis (CFA) were used to evaluate unidimensionality of 24 stigma items. Differential item functioning (DIF) was used to evaluate measurement equivalence on group, gender, age, and conditions. Item response theory model (IRT) was used to construct the final measure. RESULTS Sufficient unidimensionality was supported by both EFA and CFA. No items showed significant DIF indicating stable measurement properties across groups of comparison. All items fit the IRT model and were able to be calibrated together to form the PPS which consists of 18 core items. The PPS-Skin (18 cores items + 6 skin items) was developed by calibrating 6 skin items onto the common metric as the PPS. CONCLUSIONS We used IRT techniques to successfully develop the PPS and the PPS-Skin, which share a common metric and account for unique and common concerns related to chronic conditions.

Abstract
Anxiety and depression are common in adolescents with epilepsy. Identifying psychosocial risk factors for anxiety and depression is essential for adolescents with epilepsy to receive appropriate support. This systematic review synthesised findings of studies examining the relationship between psychosocial factors and anxiety and/or depression in adolescents with epilepsy. Outcomes were anxiety, depression, and mixed anxiety & depression. Six electronic databases were searched for studies which: used cross-sectional or prospective designs; quantitatively evaluated the relationship between psychosocial factors and anxiety and/or depression; presented results for adolescents with epilepsy aged 9-18 years; and used validated measures of anxiety and/or depression. Psychosocial factors were categorised as intrapersonal, interpersonal, or parent-specific factors. Sixteen studies (23 articles) were included. All but one were cross-sectional. Regarding intrapersonal factors, alternative mental health difficulties were consistently positively associated with all three outcomes. Negative attitude towards epilepsy, lower seizure self-efficacy, lower self-esteem and stigma were consistently positively associated with depression. Interpersonal factors (i.e., lower family functioning assessed from an adolescent's perspective) and parent-specific factors (i.e., parental stigma, stress, anxiety and psychopathology) were positively associated with at least one outcome. Adolescent epilepsy management should exceed assessment of biological/biomedical factors and incorporate assessment of psychosocial risk factors. Prospective studies examining the interplay between biological/biomedical factors and the psychosocial factors underpinning anxiety and depression in adolescents with epilepsy are needed.

Abstract
PURPOSE Pediatric patients with autonomic dysfunction and orthostatic intolerance (OI) often present with co-existing symptoms and signs that might or might not directly relate to the autonomic nervous system. Our objective was to identify validated screening instruments to characterize these comorbidities and their impact on youth functioning. METHODS The Pediatric Assembly of the American Autonomic Society reviewed the current state of practice for identifying symptom comorbidities in youth with OI. The assembly includes physicians, physician-scientists, scientists, advanced practice providers, psychologists, and a statistician with expertise in pediatric disorders of OI. A total of 26 representatives from the various specialties engaged in iterative meetings to: (1) identify and then develop consensus on the symptoms to be assessed, (2) establish committees to review the literature for screening measures by member expertise, and (3) delineate the specific criteria for systematically evaluating the measures and for making measure recommendations by symptom domains. RESULTS We review the measures evaluated and recommend one measure per system/concern so that assessment results from unrelated clinical centers are comparable. We have created a repository to apprise investigators of validated, vetted assessment tools to enhance comparisons across cohorts of youth with autonomic dysfunction and OI. CONCLUSION This effort can facilitate collaboration among clinical settings to advance the science and clinical treatment of these youth. This effort is essential to improving management of these vulnerable patients as well as to comparing research findings from different centers.

Abstract
Following a pediatric stroke, outcome measures selected for monitoring functional recovery and development vary widely. We sought to develop a toolkit of outcome measures that are currently available to clinicians, possess strong psychometric properties, and are feasible for use within clinical settings. A multidisciplinary group of clinicians and scientists from the International Pediatric Stroke Organization comprehensively reviewed the quality of measures in multiple domains described in pediatric stroke populations including global performance, motor and cognitive function, language, quality of life, and behavior and adaptive functioning. The quality of each measure was evaluated using guidelines focused on responsiveness and sensitivity, reliability, validity, feasibility, and predictive utility. A total of 48 outcome measures were included and were rated by experts based on the available evidence within the literature supporting the strengths of their psychometric properties and practical use. Only three measures were found to be validated for use in pediatric stroke: the Pediatric Stroke Outcome Measure, the Pediatric Stroke Recurrence and Recovery Questionnaire, and the Pediatric Stroke Quality of Life Measure. However, multiple additional measures were deemed to have good psychometric properties and acceptable utility for assessing pediatric stroke outcomes. Strengths and weaknesses of commonly used measures including feasibility are highlighted to guide evidence-based and practicable outcome measure selection. Improving the coherence of outcome assessment will facilitate comparison of studies and enhance research and clinical care in children with stroke. Further work is urgently needed to close the gap and validate measures across all clinically significant domains in the pediatric stroke population.

Behavioral health screening in pediatric epilepsy: Which measures commonly used in the United States are 'good enough'? Epilepsy Behav 2022; 134:108818. Abstract
PURPOSE To improve evidence-based implementation of behavioral health screening measures in pediatric epilepsy care, guidance is needed in the selection and interpretation of evidence-based screening measures. Therefore, the goals of this project were to (1) evaluate the clinical utility and psychometric properties of screening instruments frequently used in the United States (US) for anxiety, depression, and behavior problems in youth with epilepsy (YWE), and (2) provide guidance around selection and interpretation of these behavioral health screening measures. METHOD The critique was conducted in three phases: (1) identification of articles based on search criteria; (2) full review of articles for eligibility assessment; (3) evaluation of screening measures and organization into Tiers. Nine behavioral health measures frequently used to screen for anxiety, depression, and disruptive behaviors in the US were selected for evaluation. PubMed, CINAHL, Medline, and APA databases were searched using the following search terms: [target area] + [screening measure] + epilepsy + children [youth], [adolescents]. Inclusion/exclusion criteria for articles were as follows: (1) focused on YWE, (2) written in English, and (3) conducted in the US. Once articles were selected, Hunsley and Mash's criteria were used to evaluate and categorize the screening measures' psychometric properties, which have clear relevance to clinical practice. Measures were also classified into three tiers by the level of validation according to established evidence-based criteria. RESULTS Forty-one unique papers were identified through the literature search and assessed as eligible. Evaluation of screening measures revealed only two psychometrically sound measures that met criteria for Tier 1, the NDDI-E-Y and the Pediatric NeuroQoL-Depression, both depression screening measures. Several additional depression screening measures met criteria for Tier 2 (CDI-2, BASC-2-Depression Scale, and CBCL Withdrawn/Depressed Scale). Anxiety screening measures have not been validated in pediatric epilepsy and thus only met the criteria for Tier 2 (BASC-2 Anxiety Scale, CBCL DSM-IV Oriented Anxiety Problems Scale, MASC). Similarly for disruptive behaviors, two measures met Tier 2 criteria (BASC-2 Externalizing Problems Index, CBCL Externalizing Problems Index). CONCLUSION Strides have been made in the validation of behavioral health screening measures for YWE; however, continued research in this area is necessary to validate existing psychometrically sound measures and to develop and evaluate epilepsy-specific measures in the pediatric epilepsy population.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Assessing patient-reported outcomes (PROs) through interviews or conversations during clinical encounters provides insightful information about survivorship. OBJECTIVE This study aims to test the validity of natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning (ML) algorithms in identifying different attributes of pain interference and fatigue symptoms experienced by child and adolescent survivors of cancer versus the judgment by PRO content experts as the gold standard to validate NLP/ML algorithms. METHODS This cross-sectional study focused on child and adolescent survivors of cancer, aged 8 to 17 years, and caregivers, from whom 391 meaning units in the pain interference domain and 423 in the fatigue domain were generated for analyses. Data were collected from the After Completion of Therapy Clinic at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Experienced pain interference and fatigue symptoms were reported through in-depth interviews. After verbatim transcription, analyzable sentences (ie, meaning units) were semantically labeled by 2 content experts for each attribute (physical, cognitive, social, or unclassified). Two NLP/ML methods were used to extract and validate the semantic features: bidirectional encoder representations from transformers (BERT) and Word2vec plus one of the ML methods, the support vector machine or extreme gradient boosting. Receiver operating characteristic and precision-recall curves were used to evaluate the accuracy and validity of the NLP/ML methods. RESULTS Compared with Word2vec/support vector machine and Word2vec/extreme gradient boosting, BERT demonstrated higher accuracy in both symptom domains, with 0.931 (95% CI 0.905-0.957) and 0.916 (95% CI 0.887-0.941) for problems with cognitive and social attributes on pain interference, respectively, and 0.929 (95% CI 0.903-0.953) and 0.917 (95% CI 0.891-0.943) for problems with cognitive and social attributes on fatigue, respectively. In addition, BERT yielded superior areas under the receiver operating characteristic curve for cognitive attributes on pain interference and fatigue domains (0.923, 95% CI 0.879-0.997; 0.948, 95% CI 0.922-0.979) and superior areas under the precision-recall curve for cognitive attributes on pain interference and fatigue domains (0.818, 95% CI 0.735-0.917; 0.855, 95% CI 0.791-0.930). CONCLUSIONS The BERT method performed better than the other methods. As an alternative to using standard PRO surveys, collecting unstructured PROs via interviews or conversations during clinical encounters and applying NLP/ML methods can facilitate PRO assessment in child and adolescent cancer survivors.

Abstract
The morbidity and mortality of cryptococcal meningoencephalitis (CM) in previously healthy, HIV-negative individuals is increasingly recognized. We administered a healthcare associated quality of life (QOL) survey to the largest longitudinally followed cohort of these patients in the United States. We identified moderate or severe self-reported impairment in at least one QOL domain in 61% of subjects at least one year following diagnosis. Self-reported cognitive impairment was noted in 52% and sleep disturbance was noted in 55%. This is the first comprehensive study of cross-sectional long-term QOL in previously healthy patients following cryptococcal infection.

Abstract
BACKGROUND There is a paucity of studies on self-assessed generic health-related quality of life (HRQOL) in children with epilepsy. The purpose of this study was to investigate generic HRQOL and associated factors among Japanese children with epilepsy. METHODS In this clinic-based study, 277 children (aged 8-18 years) with epilepsy and 429 children without any chronic illnesses were recruited. HRQOL was evaluated using the Japanese version of the KIDSCREEN-52 self-reported questionnaire, which consisted of 52 items categorized into 10 dimensions related to the environment surrounding children. Multiple regression analysis was applied to explore related factors with low HRQOL in each dimension. RESULTS We obtained the questionnaire from 171 (61.7%) and 306 (71.3%) children in the epilepsy and control groups, respectively. Short treatment period (<2 years), seizure lasting >30 min, and post-ictal symptoms were associated with a low HRQOL for School Environment (OR: 3.81; 95% CI: 1.34-10.86), Moods & Emotions (OR: 3.82; 95% CI: 1.67-8.78), and Parent Relations & Home Life (OR: 3.53; 95% CI: 1.29-9.72) dimensions, respectively. Complex neurodevelopmental disorders were associated with a low HRQOL for Social Support & Peers (OR: 3.59; 95% CI: 1.33-9.66), School Environment (OR: 2.49; 95% CI: 1.07-5.77), and Psychological Well-being (OR: 3.47; 95% CI: 1.20-10.00) dimensions. CONCLUSIONS Our results suggest that early psychosocial support and better management of epilepsy may improve HRQOL. More support in school environments may be required for children with epilepsy and neurodevelopmental disorders.

Abstract
Aims To evaluate the quality‐of‐life (QOL) impairment and identify the possible risk factors in patients with tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) in China. Methods The parent proxy‐report PedsQL 4.0 Generic Core Scales were administered to 124 caregivers of children with TSC (aged 2‐18 years). For comparison, the survey was also conducted in a demographically group‐matched sample of healthy controls (HCs) (aged 2‐18 years). Results A total of 124 children with TSC and 206 HCs were recruited. The mean parent proxy‐report total scale score, physical health summary score, and psychosocial health summary score for children with TSC were 65.0 (SD 19.7), 77.6 (SD 22.9), and 58.0 (SD 21.3), respectively, compared with the HC values of 83.6 (SD 14.3), 87.2 (SD 16.9), and 82.8 (SD 15.9). There were statistically significant differences between the two groups (P < .0001). TSC2 mutation (P = .033), epilepsy (P = .011), seizure before 2 years old (P = .001), course of epilepsy (more than 2 years) (P = .001), high reported seizure frequency (more than once a month) (HRSF) (P = .007), multiple antiepileptic drugs (≥2) (P = .002), intellectual disability (ID) (mild and moderate ID, P < .0001, and severe and profound ID, P < .0001), and TANDs (P < .0001) (ADHD, P = .004; agoraphobia, P = .007; and social anxiety disorder, P < .0001) were closely related to lower QOL scores. Conclusion This study is the first large cohort study on QOL in children with TSC in China. The results of the PedsQL 4.0 indicated that the QOL of children with TSC is significantly lower than that of HCs. TSC2 mutation, epilepsy, early onset, long disease course and HRSF, ID, and TANDs are risk factors for poor QOL.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES Content elucidation for patient-reported outcomes (PROs) in paediatric cancer survivorship is understudied. We aimed to compare differences in the contents of five PRO domains that are important to paediatric cancer survivorship through semistructured interviews with paediatric cancer survivors and caregivers, and identified new concepts that were not covered in the item banks of the Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System (PROMIS). DESIGN Semistructured interviews to collect qualitative PRO data from survivors and caregivers. SETTING A survivorship care clinic of a comprehensive cancer centre in the USA. PARTICIPANTS The study included 51 survivors (<18 years old) and 35 caregivers who completed interviews between August and December 2016. Content experts coded the transcribed interviews into 'meaningful concepts' per PROMIS item concepts and identified new concepts per a consensus. Frequencies of meaningful concepts used by survivors and caregivers were compared by Wilcoxon rank-sum test. RESULTS For pain and meaning and purpose, 'Hurt a lot' and 'Purpose in life' were top concepts for survivors and caregivers, respectively. For fatigue and psychological stress, 'Needed to sleep during the day'/'Trouble doing schoolwork' and 'Felt worried' were top concepts for survivors, and 'Felt tired' and 'Felt distress'/'Felt stressed' for caregivers. Survivors reported more physically relevant contents (eg, 'Hard to do sport/exercise'; 0.78 vs 0.23, p=0.007) for pain, fatigue and stress, whereas caregivers used more emotionally relevant concepts (eg, 'Too tired to enjoy things I like to do'; 0.31 vs 0.05, p=0.025). Both groups reported positive thoughts for meaning and purpose (eg, 'Have goals for myself'). One (psychological stress, meaning and purpose) to eleven (fatigue) new concepts were generated. CONCLUSIONS Important PRO contents in the form of meaningful concepts raised by survivors and caregivers were different and new concepts emerged. PRO measures are warranted to include survivorship-specific items by accounting for the child's and the caregiver's viewpoints.

Abstract
Pediatric patients with hematology and oncology conditions often experience disease- and treatment-related neurocognitive deficits. Well-validated screening tools are critical for identifying patients experiencing cognitive impairments. The Pediatric Applied Cognition scale (PAC) Short Form, developed by the National Institutes of Health, assesses attention and memory concerns. The current study is the first to examine the psychometrics of the PAC in pediatric patients with hematology/oncology conditions. Pediatric patients (n = 222) and caregivers completed the PAC and self-report measures of psychosocial and academic functioning. Results revealed strong internal consistency for the Child (α = 0.81-0.89) and Parent (α = 0.92-0.95) PAC. More cognitive concerns on the Child/Parent PAC were associated with greater psychosocial concerns (e.g. anxiety, depression, and fatigue) and lower reported school grades. The Parent PAC incrementally predicted child reported symptoms of depression, mobility concerns, and school grades beyond the Child PAC. Overall, the PAC Short Form may be useful as an indicator of general academic and psychosocial concerns. Further research validating the PAC in relation to performance-based neurocognitive outcomes and academic achievement is needed in children treated for hematology/oncology conditions.

Abstract
AIM We assessed the utilization of the National Institutes of Health Quality of Life in Neurological Disorders (Neuro-QoL) in pediatric patients with Sturge-Weber syndrome, a rare neurovascular disorder which frequently results in seizures, brain atrophy, calcification, and a range of neurological impairments. METHODS Subjects were seen clinically and consented for research. All 22 patients filled out the Pediatric Neuro-QoL. The Neuro-QoL subscores were converted to T-scores to compare with the referenced control population. Twenty-one participants also filled out the Brain Vascular Malformation Consortium Database Questionnaire containing data pertaining to Sturge-Weber syndrome-related medical history, medications, comorbidities, and family history. All data were analyzed with a significance threshold of P < 0.05. RESULTS Cognitive function quality of life was significantly lower (P < 0.001) in pediatric patients with Sturge-Weber syndrome compared with referenced control subjects. Male gender (P = 0.02) was associated with lower cognitive function Neuro-QoL. The extent of skin (R = -0.46, P = 0.04), total eyelid port-wine birthmark (R = -0.56, P = 0.007), eye (R = -0.58, P = 0.005), and total Sturge-Weber syndrome involvement (R = -0.63, P = 0.002) were negatively correlated with cognitive function Neuro-QoL. A younger age at seizure onset was associated with lower cognitive function Neuro-QoL (hazard ratio = 0.90, P = 0.004) even after controlling for extent of brain, skin, or eye involvement. Antidepressant use was associated with lower cognitive function Neuro-QoL (P = 0.005), and cognitive function Neuro-QoL was negatively correlated with depression Neuro-QoL; however, after adjusting for depression this relationship was no longer significant. CONCLUSIONS The results suggest targeting cognitive function Neuro-QoL in treatment trials and reiterate the prognostic value of early seizure onset. In addition, sex-related differences were noted, which should be further studied.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES To develop a quality of life (QOL) survey for Krabbe disease (KD), and to thereby improve understanding of its phenotypic expression and response to treatment. METHODS The survey, the Leukodystrophy Quality of Life Assessment (LQLA) and the Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales were co-administered to 33 patients or their caretakers. These included the phenotypes of early infantile KD (EIKD; 0-6 months old at onset), late infantile cases (LIKD; 7-12 months old at onset), and cases that emerged after 12 months old, late onset (LOKD). The sample included cases with and without stem cell transplantation (SCT). Reliability and concurrent validity were assessed for overall and subscale scores. Analysis of variance tested differences in QOL between phenotypes and transplant groups (none, pre-, post-symptom). RESULTS Good concurrent validity with the Vineland was shown for total, communication, daily activity, social, and motor scales and good reliability was observed. LOKD cases had better communication skills than either EIKD or LIKD and better overall QOL than EIKD. Analyses of individual items showed that communication items, mostly, contributed significantly to phenotype differences. Presymptomatic SCT significantly improved QOL compared to postsymptomatic SCT or no treatment. Presymptomatically treated patients had near-normal total scores. CONCLUSIONS The LQLA is valid and reliable. Despite small sample size, phenotypic demarcation was determined to be due mainly to differences in communication skills. There was a relative enhancement of QOL in LOKD patients, and in those who had presymptomatic SCT. These results apply to the current controversy about recommendations for newborn screening for this condition.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To generate normative data for the Symbol Digit Modalities Test (SDMT) in Spanish-speaking pediatric populations. METHOD The sample consisted of 4,373 healthy children from nine countries in Latin America (Chile, Cuba, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, and Puerto Rico) and Spain. Each participant was administered the SDMT as part of a larger neuropsychological battery. SDMT scores were normed using multiple linear regressions and standard deviations of residual values. Age, age2, sex, and mean level of parental education (MLPE) were included as predictors in the analyses. RESULTS The final multiple linear regression models showed main effects for age in all countries, such that score increased linearly as a function of age. In addition, age2 had a significant effect in all countries, except in Honduras and Puerto Rico. Models indicated that children whose parent(s) had a MLPE >12 years of education obtained higher score compared to children whose parent(s) had a MLPE ≤12 years for Chile, Guatemala, Mexico, and Spain. Sex affected SDMT score for Paraguay and Spain. CONCLUSIONS This is the largest Spanish-speaking pediatric normative study in the world, and it will allow neuropsychologists from these countries to have a more accurate interpretation of the SDMT with pediatric populations.

Abstract
PURPOSE The primary objective is to provide evidence of convergent and discriminant validity for the pediatric and parent-proxy versions of the Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System (PROMIS) Anxiety, Depression, Anger, Peer Relations, Mobility, Pain Interference, and Fatigue item banks, the Neurology Quality of Life measurement system (Neuro-QOL) Cognition-General Concerns and Stigma item banks, and the Traumatic Brain Injury Quality of Life (TBI-QOL) Executive Function and Headache item banks in a pediatric traumatic brain injury (TBI) sample. METHODS Participants were 134 parent-child (ages 8-18 years) days. Children all sustained TBI and the dyads completed outcome ratings 6 months after injury at one of six medical centers across the United States. Ratings included PROMIS, Neuro-QOL, and TBI-QOL item banks, as well as the Pediatric Quality of Life inventory (PedsQL), the Health Behavior Inventory (HBI), and the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) as legacy criterion measures against which these item banks were validated. RESULTS The PROMIS, Neuro-QOL, and TBI-QOL item banks demonstrated good convergent validity, as evidenced by moderate to strong correlations with comparable scales on the legacy measures. PROMIS, Neuro-QOL, and TBI-QOL item banks showed weaker correlations with ratings of unrelated constructs on legacy measures, providing evidence of discriminant validity. CONCLUSION Our results indicate that the constructs measured by the PROMIS, Neuro-QOL, and TBI-QOL item banks are valid in our pediatric TBI sample and that it is appropriate to use these standardized scores for our primary study analyses.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES To validate the revised 12-item revised Neurological Disorders Depression Inventory-Epilepsy for Youth (NDDI-E-Y), a self-report screening tool for depressive symptoms tailored to youth ages 12-17 with epilepsy. METHODS Youth at two sites completed the NDDI-E-Y during a routine epilepsy visit. Youth at one site also completed the Children's Depression Inventory-2 (CDI-2). Seizure and demographic data were abstracted from the electronic medical record. Exploratory factor analyses were conducted. Internal consistency, area under the curve (AUC), and construct validity were assessed. RESULTS NDDI-E-Y questionnaires were analyzed for 143 youth. The coefficient for internal consistency for the NDDI-E-Y was 0.92. Factor analyses suggested a one-factor solution with all 12 items loading on the factor. The NDDI-E-Y was positively correlated with the CDI-2 (N = 99). Sensitivity and specificity of the NDDI-E-Y were high. SIGNIFICANCE Reliability and construct validity were established for the revised 12-item NDDI-E-Y. The NDDI-E-Y is a brief, free measure of depressive symptoms that can be administered during a routine epilepsy visit.
