Abstract
Over the past decade, the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) has experienced a remarkable ascent, soaring from 3.8% in 2009 to a remarkable record of 26.1% in 2023. Many recent approaches for improving PSC performance employ nanophotonic technologies, from light harvesting and thermal management to the manipulation of charge carrier dynamics. Plasmonic nanoparticles and arrayed dielectric nanostructures have been applied to tailor the light absorption, scattering, and conversion, as well as the heat dissipation within PSCs to improve their PCE and operational stability. In this review, it is begin with a concise introduction to define the realm of nanophotonics by focusing on the nanoscale interactions between light and surface plasmons or dielectric photonic structures. Prevailing strategies that utilize resonance-enhanced light-matter interactions for boosting the PCE and stability of PSCs from light trapping, carrier transportation, and thermal management perspectives are then elaborated, and the resultant practical applications, such as semitransparent photovoltaics, colored PSCs, and smart perovskite windows are discussed. Finally, the state-of-the-art nanophotonic paradigms in PSCs are reviewed, and the benefits of these approaches in improving the aesthetic effects and energy-saving character of PSC-integrated buildings are highlighted.

Abstract
Numerous experiments have demonstrated improvements on the efficiency of perovskite solar cells by introducing plasmonic nanoparticles, however, the underlying mechanisms are still not clear: the particles may enhance light absorption and scattering, as well as charge separation and transfer, or the perovskite's crystalline quality. Eventually, it can still be debated whether unambiguous plasmonic increase of light absorption has indeed been achieved. Here, various optical models are employed to provide a physical understanding of the relevant parameters in plasmonic perovskite cells and the conditions under which light absorption may be enhanced by plasmonic mechanisms. By applying the recent generalized Mie theory to gold nanospheres in perovskite, it is shown that their plasmon resonance is conveniently located in the 650-800 nm wavelength range, where absorption enhancement is most needed. It is evaluated for which active layer thickness and nanoparticle concentration a significant enhancement can be expected. Finally, the experimental literature on plasmonic perovskite solar cells is analyzed in light of this theoretical description. It is estimated that only a tiny portion of these reports can be associated with light absorption and point out the importance of reporting the perovskite thickness and nanoparticle concentration in order to assess the presence of plasmonic effects.

Abstract
An arrow-shaped gallium phosphide nanoantenna exhibits both near-field electric field enhancement and far-field unidirectional scattering, and the interference conditions involve electric and magnetic quadrupoles as well as toroidal dipoles. By using long-wavelength approximation and exact multipole decomposition, the interference conditions required for far-field unidirectional transverse light scattering and backward near-zero scattering at multiple wavelengths are determined. The near-field properties are excellent, as exemplified by large Purcell factors of 4.5×109 for electric dipole source excitation, 464.68 for magnetic dipole source excitation, and 700 V/m for the field enhancement factor. The degree of enhancement of unidirectional scattering is affected by structural parameters such as the angle and thickness of the nanoantenna. The arrow-shaped nanoantenna is an efficient platform to enhance the electric field and achieve high directionality of light scattering. Moreover, the nanostructure enables flexible manipulation of light waves and materials, giving rise to superior near-field and far-field performances, which are of great importance pertaining to the practicability and application potential of optical antennas in applications such as spectroscopy, sensing, displays, and optoelectronic devices.

Abstract
The typical thickness of the photoactive layer in organic solar cells (OSCs) is around 100 nm, which limits the absorption efficiency of the incident light and the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of OSCs. Therefore, light-trapping schemes to reduce the optical losses in the thin photoactive layers are critically important for efficient OSCs. Herein, light-trapping and electron-collection dual-functional small organic molecules, N,N,N',N'-tetraphenyloxalamide (TPEA) and N,N,N',N'-tetraphenylmalonamide (TPMA), are designed and synthesized by a one-step acylation reaction. Driven by strong intermolecular force, TPEA and TPMA tend to self-aggregate into hemispherical light-trapping nanodots on the photoactive layer, resulting in enhanced light harvesting. Meanwhile, TPEA and TPMA demonstrate high electron mobility and excellent electron-collection ability. Compared with the device without cathode buffer layer (CBL, PCE = 14.09%), PM6:BTP-eC9 based OSCs with TPEA and TPMA light-trapping CBLs demonstrate greatly enhanced PCE of 16.21% and 17.85%, respectively. Furthermore, a record PCE of 19.02% can be achieved for PM6:BTP-eC9:PC71 BM based ternary OSC with TPMA light-trapping CBL. Moreover, TPMA exhibits a low synthesis cost of only 0.61 $ g-1 with high yield. These findings could open a window for the rational design of multifunctional CBLs for efficient and stable OSCs.

Abstract
We have investigated a strong coupled system composed of a MAPbIxCl3-x perovskite film and aluminum conical nanopits array. The hybrid states formed by surface plasmons and free carriers, rather than the traditional excitons, is observed in both steady-state reflection measurements and transient absorption spectra. In particular, under near upper band resonant excitation, the bleaching signal from the band edge of uncoupled perovskite was completely separated into two distinctive bleaching signals of the hybrid system, which is clear evidence for the formation of strong coupling states between the free carrier–plasmon state. Besides this, a Rabi splitting up to 260 meV is achieved. The appearance of the lower bands can compensate for the poor absorption of the perovskite in the NIR region. Finally, we found that the lifetime of the free carrier–SP hybrid states is slightly shorter than that of uncoupled perovskite film, which can be caused by the ultrafast damping of the SPs modes. These peculiar features on the strong coupled hybrid states based on free charge carriers can open new perspectives for novel plasmonic perovskite solar cells.

Abstract
Introducing nanostructured metals with ultraviolet plasmonic characters has attracted much attention for fabricating high performance optoelectronic devices in the shorter wavelength spectrum. In this work, platinum nanoparticles (PtNPs) with controlled plasmonic responses in ultraviolet wavelengths were successfully synthesized. To demonstrate the promising availability, PtNPs with desired sizes were deposited on a hexagonal ZnO microwire via Ga-doping (PtNPs@ZnO:Ga MW). Under ultraviolet illumination, typical near-band-edge emission of ZnO:Ga MW was considerably enhanced; meanwhile, the photocurrent is much larger than that of the bare MW. Thereby, the enhanced phenomena of a ZnO:Ga MW is related to localized surface plasmon resonances of the decorated PtNPs. A single MW with a hexagonal cross-section can be a potential platform to construct a whispering gallery mode (WGM) cavity due to its total inner wall reflection. Given this, the influence of PtNPs via ultraviolet plasmons on lasing features of the ZnO:Ga MW was tested. The lasing characteristics are significantly enhanced, including lasing output enhancement, a clear reduction of the threshold and the improvement of the quality factor. To exploit the working principle, PtNPs serving as powerful ultraviolet plasmons can couple with ZnO:Ga excitons, accelerating radiative recombination. Since fabricating stable, typical nanostructured metals with ultraviolet plasmons remains a challenging issue, the results illustrated in the work may offer a low-cost and efficient scheme for achieving plasmon-enhanced wide-bandgap semiconductor based ultraviolet optoelectronic devices with excellent performances.
