Abstract
OBJECTIVE We present findings from a large cohort of individuals treated during primary HIV infection (PHI) and examine the impact of time from HIV-1 acquisition to antiretroviral therapy (ART) initiation on clinical outcomes. We also examine the temporal changes in the demographics of individuals presenting with PHI to inform HIV-1 prevention strategies. METHODS Individuals who fulfilled the criteria of PHI and started ART within 3 months of confirmed HIV-1 diagnosis were enrolled between 2009 and 2020. Baseline demographics of those diagnosed between 2009 and 2015 (before preexposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and universal ART availability) and 2015-2020 (post-PrEP and universal ART availability) were compared. We examined the factors associated with immune recovery and time to viral suppression. RESULTS Two hundred four individuals enrolled, 144 from 2009 to 2015 and 90 from 2015 to 2020; median follow-up was 33 months. At PHI, the median age was 33 years; 4% were women, 39% were UK-born, and 84% were MSM. The proportion of UK-born individuals was 47% in 2009-2015, compared with 29% in 2015-2020. There was an association between earlier ART initiation after PHI diagnosis and increased immune recovery; each day that ART was delayed was associated with a lower likelihood of achieving a CD4 + cell count more than 900 cells/μl [hazard ratio 0.99 (95% confidence interval, 95% CI 0.98-0.99), P = 0.02) and CD4/CD8 more than 1.0 (hazard ratio 0.98 (95% CI 0.97-0.99). CONCLUSION Early initiation of ART at PHI diagnosis is associated with enhanced immune recovery, providing further evidence to support immediate ART in the context of PHI. Non-UK-born MSM accounts for an increasing proportion of those with primary infection; UK HIV-1 prevention strategies should better target this group.

Abstract
Transmitted Resistance exists in a newly diagnosed person who has not yet started their treatment. Our objective was to obtain a profile of HIV-1 resistance to integrase inhibitors in newly diagnosed treatment-naïve patients. Fifty people newly diagnosed with HIV-1 infection who had never received antiretroviral treatment were recruited. The complete integrase gene was amplified by nested RTPCR and the sequences obtained were analyzed with the ReCall and HIVdb v9.0. The overall prevalence transmitted due to mutations with some impact on integrase strand transfer inhibitors (INSTI) activity during the study period was 8%. The major E138K mutation was detected in only 1 patient and the secondary G163R mutation was detected in the other 3. The transmitted resistance for the first generation INSTI was 8% and for the second generation it was 0%. In Chile the resistance transmitted to INSTI is low and it is in according values detect in other part of the world.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The transmission of resistant HIV variants jeopardizes the effective use of antiretrovirals for therapy and prophylaxis. Molecular surveillance of new HIV diagnoses with a focus on prevalence and type of resistance associated mutations and the subtype of circulating viruses is mandatory. METHOD From 2017 to 2020, 11,527 new HIV diagnoses were reported in Germany to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI). Protease (PR) and reverse-transcriptase (RT) sequences were obtained from 4559 (39.6%) cases, and PR, RT and integrase (IN) sequences were obtained from 3097 (26.9%) cases. The sequences were analyzed with data from the national HIV reports. RESULTS Among all cases in the analysis, the proportion of primary resistance was 4.3% for nucleoside reverse-transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs), 9.2% for non-NRTI (NNRTIs), 3.3% for protease inhibitors (PIs) and 1.4% for integrase inhibitors (INIs). Dual-class resistance was highest for NRTIs/NNRTIs with 1.2%. There was no trend in the proportion of viruses resistant to drug classes. Most individual key mutations associated with relevant resistance had a prevalence below 1% including K65R (0.1%) and M184V (0.6%). A notable exception was K103NS, with a prevalence of 2.9% and a significant increase (pTrend=0.024) during 2017-2020. In this period, diagnoses of infections with HIV-1 subtype B were the most common at 58.7%, but its prevalence was declining (pTrend=0.049) while the frequency of minority subtypes (each < 1%) increased (pTrend=0.007). Subtype B was highest (75.6%) in men who have sex with men (MSM) and lowest in reported heterosexual transmissions (HETs, 22.6%). CONCLUSION The percentage of primary resistance was high but at a stable level. A genotypic determination of resistance is therefore still required before the start of therapy. The subtype diversity of circulating HIV-1 is increasing.

Abstract
Antiretroviral therapies (ARTs) have revolutionized the management of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection, significantly improved patient outcomes, and reduced the mortality rate and incidence of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). However, despite the remarkable efficacy of ART, virologic failure remains a challenge in the long-term management of HIV-infected individuals. Virologic failure refers to the persistent detectable viral load in patients receiving ART, indicating an incomplete suppression of HIV replication. It can occur due to various factors, including poor medication adherence, drug resistance, suboptimal drug concentrations, drug interactions, and viral factors such as the emergence of drug-resistant strains. In recent years, extensive efforts have been made to understand and address virologic failure in order to optimize treatment outcomes. Strategies to prevent and manage virologic failure include improving treatment adherence through patient education, counselling, and supportive interventions. In addition, the regular monitoring of viral load and resistance testing enables the early detection of treatment failure and facilitates timely adjustments in ART regimens. Thus, the development of novel antiretroviral agents with improved potency, tolerability, and resistance profiles offers new options for patients experiencing virologic failure. However, new treatment options would also face virologic failure if not managed appropriately. A solution to virologic failure requires a comprehensive approach that combines individualized patient care, robust monitoring, and access to a range of antiretroviral drugs.

Abstract
Importance Recent advances in treatment and prevention of HIV warrant updated recommendations to guide optimal practice. Objective Based on a critical evaluation of new data, to provide clinicians with recommendations on use of antiretroviral drugs for the treatment and prevention of HIV, laboratory monitoring, care of people aging with HIV, substance use disorder and HIV, and new challenges in people with HIV, including COVID-19 and monkeypox virus infection. Evidence Review A panel of volunteer expert physician scientists were appointed to update the 2020 consensus recommendations. Relevant evidence in the literature (PubMed and Embase searches, which initially yielded 7891 unique citations, of which 834 were considered relevant) and studies presented at peer-reviewed scientific conferences between January 2020 and October 2022 were considered. Findings Initiation of antiretroviral therapy (ART) is recommended as soon as possible after diagnosis of HIV. Barriers to care should be addressed, including ensuring access to ART and adherence support. Integrase strand transfer inhibitor-containing regimens remain the mainstay of initial therapy. For people who have achieved viral suppression with a daily oral regimen, long-acting injectable therapy with cabotegravir plus rilpivirine given as infrequently as every 2 months is now an option. Weight gain and metabolic complications have been linked to certain antiretroviral medications; novel strategies to ameliorate these complications are needed. Management of comorbidities throughout the life span is increasingly important, because people with HIV are living longer and confronting the health challenges of aging. In addition, management of substance use disorder in people with HIV requires an evidence-based, integrated approach. Options for preexposure prophylaxis include oral medications (tenofovir disoproxil fumarate or tenofovir alafenamide plus emtricitabine) and, for the first time, a long-acting injectable agent, cabotegravir. Recent global health emergencies, like the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic and monkeypox virus outbreak, continue to have a major effect on people with HIV and the delivery of services. To address these and other challenges, an equity-based approach is essential. Conclusions and Relevance Advances in treatment and prevention of HIV continue to improve outcomes, but challenges and opportunities remain.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To understand recent patterns in reported baseline HIV drug-resistance testing over time in the United States. DESIGN Data from the National HIV Surveillance System for persons who were aged at least 13 years at the time of HIV diagnosis during 2014-2019 and resided in one of 12 US jurisdictions with high levels of reporting in 2014 and 2015. METHODS Among persons included in the analysis, we calculated the total proportion of HIV diagnoses occurring during 2014-2019 with a reported baseline sequence by year of diagnosis and sequence type. A baseline sequence was defined as any protease/ reverse transcriptase (PR/RT) or integrase sequence generated from a specimen collected 90 days or less after diagnosis. RESULTS During 2014-2019, reported levels of baseline PR/RT (with or without integrase) testing varied by year from 46.9% to 51.8% without any clear pattern over time. PR/RT with integrase testing increased (8.3-19.4%) and integrase-only testing remained low (1.9-1.3%). CONCLUSION While reported levels of baseline PR/RT (with or without integrase) testing have remained sufficiently high for the purposes of molecular cluster detection, higher levels would strengthen jurisdictions' and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's ability to monitor trends in HIV drug-resistance and detect and respond to HIV molecular clusters. Efforts to increase levels of reported baseline testing likely need to address both gaps in testing as well as reporting.

Abstract
BACKGROUND HIV infects around one hundred thousand patients in the Republic of the Congo. Approximately 25% of them receive an antiretroviral treatment; current first-line regimens include two NRTIs and one NNRTI, reverse transcriptase inhibitors. Recently, protease inhibitors (PIs) were also introduced as second-line therapy upon clinical signs of treatment failure. Due to the limited number of molecular characterizations and amount of drug resistance data available in the Republic of the Congo, this study aims to evaluate the prevalence of circulating resistance mutations within the pol region. METHODS HIV-positive, ART-experienced patients have been enrolled in four semi-urban localities in the Republic of the Congo. Plasma samples were collected, and viral RNA was extracted. The viral load for each patient was evaluated by RT-qPCR, following the general diagnostic procedures of the University Hospital of Bordeaux. Finally, drug resistance genotyping and phylogenetic analysis were conducted following Sanger sequencing of the pol region. RESULTS A high diversity of HIV-1 strains was observed with many recombinant forms. Drug resistance mutations in RT and PR genes were determined and correlated to HAART. Because integrase inhibitors are rarely included in treatments in the Republic of the Congo, the prevalence of integrase drug resistance mutations before treatment was also determined. Interestingly, very few mutations were observed. CONCLUSIONS We confirmed a high diversity of HIV-1 in the Republic of the Congo. Most patients presented an accumulation of mutations conferring resistance against NRTIs, NNRTIs and PIs. Nonetheless, the absence of integrase mutations associated with drug resistance suggests that the introduction of integrase inhibitors into therapy will be highly beneficial to patients in the Republic of the Congo.

Abstract
There has been no systematic review of the prevalence of transmitted integrase strand transfer inhibitor (INSTI) resistance. We systematically searched the English-language PubMed database and GenBank to identify studies published since 2010 reporting 50 or more INSTI-naive HIV-1-infected adults undergoing integrase genotyping. We extracted data related to country, sample year, specimen type, sequencing method, and subtype. For studies with sequences in GenBank, we determined the prevalence of three categories of INSTI-associated resistance mutations: (1) nonpolymorphic INSTI-selected drug resistance mutations (DRMs) that we refer to as surveillance DRMs; (2) rarely selected nonpolymorphic INSTI-associated DRMs; and (3) common polymorphic accessory INSTI-selected DRMs. A total of 103 studies met inclusion criteria including 75 studies in GenBank containing integrase sequences from 16,481 INSTI-naive persons. The median sample year was 2013 (interquartile range: 2008-2014). The prevalence of INSTI surveillance DRMs, rarely selected DRMs, and common polymorphic accessory INSTI-selected DRMs were 0.5%, 0.8%, and 6.2%, respectively. There was no association between the presence of nonpolymorphic surveillance DRM and region, sample year, or subtype. Two surveillance DRMs, E138K and R263K occurred in 0.15% and 0.10% of naive sequences, respectively. Several lines of evidence suggested that the 0.5% prevalence of surveillance DRMs partly reflects the cumulative natural occurrence of these mutations in the absence of selective drug pressure. There was an unexplained temporal increase in the proportion of sequences with polymorphic accessory mutations. The prevalence of INSTI-associated surveillance DRMs is low even in regions where INSTIs have been a major component of antiretroviral therapy for several years. The presence of INSTI-associated surveillance DRMs in INSTI-naive persons likely results from actual cases of transmitted INSTI resistance and from a low background level reflecting the cumulative rare natural occurrence of several nonpolymorphic mutations.

Abstract
Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) drug resistance (HIVDR) is widespread in sub-Saharan Africa. Children and pregnant women are particularly vulnerable, and laboratory testing capacity remains limited. We, therefore, used a cross-sectional design and convenience sampling to characterize HIV subtypes and resistance-associated mutations (RAMs) in these groups in Sierra Leone. In total, 96 children (age 2-9 years, 100% ART-experienced), 47 adolescents (age 10-18 years, 100% ART-experienced), and 54 pregnant women (>18 years, 72% ART-experienced) were enrolled. Median treatment durations were 36, 84, and 3 months, respectively, while the sequencing success rates were 45%, 70%, and 59%, respectively, among children, adolescents, and pregnant women. Overall, the predominant HIV-1 subtype was CRF02_AG (87.9%, 95/108), with minority variants constituting 12%. Among children and adolescents, the most common RAMs were M184V (76.6%, n = 49/64), K103N (45.3%, n = 29/64), Y181C/V/I (28.1%, n = 18/64), T215F/Y (25.0%, n = 16/64), and V108I (18.8%, n = 12/64). Among pregnant women, the most frequent RAMs were K103N (20.6%, n = 7/34), M184V (11.8%, n = 4/34), Y181C/V/I (5.9%, n = 2/34), P225H (8.8%, n = 3/34), and K219N/E/Q/R (5.9%, n = 2/34). Protease and integrase inhibitor-RAMs were relatively few or absent. Based on the genotype susceptibility score distributions, 73%, 88%, and 14% of children, adolescents, and pregnant women, respectively, were not susceptible to all three drug components of the WHO preferred first-line regimens per 2018 guidelines. These findings suggest that routine HIVDR surveillance and access to better ART choices may improve treatment outcomes in Sierra Leone.

Abstract
BACKGROUND US guidelines recommend genotype testing at human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) diagnosis ("baseline genotype") to detect transmitted drug resistance (TDR) to nonnucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NNRTIs), nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs), and protease inhibitors. With integrase strand inhibitor (INSTI)-based regimens now recommended as first-line antiretroviral therapy (ART), the of baseline genotypes is uncertain. METHODS We used the Cost-effectiveness of Preventing AIDS Complications model to examine the clinical impact and cost-effectiveness of baseline genotype compared to no baseline genotype for people starting ART with dolutegravir (DTG) and an NRTI pair. For people with no TDR (83.8%), baseline genotype does not alter regimen selection. Among people with transmitted NRTI resistance (5.8%), baseline genotype guides NRTI selection and informs subsequent ART after adverse events (DTG AEs, 14%). Among people with transmitted NNRTI resistance (7.2%), baseline genotype influences care only for people with DTG AEs switching to NNRTI-based regimens. The 48-week virologic suppression varied (40%-92%) depending on TDR. Costs included $320/genotype and $2500-$3000/month for ART. RESULTS Compared to no baseline genotype, baseline genotype resulted in <1 additional undiscounted quality-adjusted life-day (QALD), cost an additional $500/person, and was not cost-effective (incremental cost-effectiveness ratio: $420 000/quality-adjusted life-year). In univariate sensitivity analysis, clinical benefits of baseline genotype never exceeded 5 QALDs for all newly diagnosed people with HIV. Baseline genotype was cost-effective at current TDR prevalence only under unlikely conditions, eg, DTG-based regimens achieving ≤50% suppression of transmitted NRTI resistance. CONCLUSIONS With INSTI-based first-line regimens in the United States, baseline genotype offers minimal clinical benefit and is not cost-effective.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Emerging HIV drug resistance (HIVDR) could jeopardize the success of standardized HIV management protocols in resource-limited settings. We characterized HIVDR among antiretroviral therapy (ART)-naive and experienced participants in the African Cohort Study (AFRICOS). METHODS From January 2013 to April 2019, adults with HIV-1 RNA >1000 copies/mL underwent ART history review and HIVDR testing upon enrollment at 12 clinics in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and Nigeria. We calculated resistance scores for specific drugs and tallied major mutations to non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NNRTIs), nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs), and protease inhibitors (PIs) using Stanford HIVDB 8.8 and SmartGene IDNS software. For ART-naive participants, World Health Organization surveillance drug resistance mutations (SDRMs) were noted. RESULTS HIVDR testing was performed on 972 participants with median age 35.7 (interquartile range [IQR] 29.7-42.7) years and median CD4 295 (IQR 148-478) cells/mm3. Among 801 ART-naive participants, the prevalence of SDRMs was 11.0%, NNRTI mutations 8.2%, NRTI mutations 4.7%, and PI mutations 0.4%. Among 171 viremic ART-experienced participants, NNRTI mutation prevalence was 83.6%, NRTI 67.8%, and PI 1.8%. There were 90 ART-experienced participants with resistance to both efavirenz and lamivudine, 33 (36.7%) of whom were still prescribed these drugs. There were 10 with resistance to both tenofovir and lamivudine, 8 (80.0%) of whom were prescribed these drugs. CONCLUSIONS Participants on failing ART regimens had a high burden of HIVDR that potentially limited the efficacy of standardized first- and second-line regimens. Management strategies that emphasize adherence counseling while delaying ART switch may promote drug resistance and should be reconsidered.

Abstract
Issues have been raised concerning clinical relevance of HIV-1 proviral DNA genotypic resistance test (DNA GRT). To assess impact of DNA GRT on choice of antiretroviral therapy (ART) and subsequent virological outcome, we retrospectively reviewed decision-making and viral load (VL) evolution following DNA GRT performed in our center between January 2012 and December 2017, except those prescribed within the framework of a clinical trial. A total of 304 DNA GRTs were included, 185 (62%) performed in a context of virological success. Only 34% of tests were followed by ART change, more frequently in situation of virological success (39% vs. 26%, p = 0.02). In this situation, ART change guided by DNA GRT led to VL >20 copies/mL after 6 months in 5% of cases. In multivariate analysis, higher HIV DNA quantification (p = 0.01) was associated with occurrence of viremia. A higher nadir of CD4 count (p = 0.04) and a longer time with VL <20 copies/mL (p = 0.04) were independently associated with a lower risk of viremia. In situation of low-level viremia, ART change guided by DNA GRT led to VL <20 copies/mL after 6 months in 52% of cases, while decision to maintain the same treatment led to VL <20 copies/mL in 74% of cases. In multivariate analysis, longer time with VL >20 copies/mL (p = 0.02) was associated with persistence of virological replication. In conclusion, in situation of virological success, use of DNA GRT in addition to analysis of historical RNA GRT to guide ART optimization appears safe. Its prescription framework in situation of low-level viremia deserves to be better defined.

Abstract
Background Contemporary antiretroviral therapies (ART) and management strategies have diminished both human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) treatment failure and the acquired resistance to drugs in resource-rich regions, but transmission of drug-resistant viruses has not similarly decreased. In low- and middle-income regions, ART roll-out has improved outcomes, but has resulted in increasing acquired and transmitted resistances. Our objective was to review resistance to ART drugs and methods to detect it, and to provide updated recommendations for testing and monitoring for drug resistance in HIV-infected individuals. Methods A volunteer panel of experts appointed by the International Antiviral (formerly AIDS) Society–USA reviewed relevant peer-reviewed data that were published or presented at scientific conferences. Recommendations were rated according to the strength of the recommendation and quality of the evidence, and reached by full panel consensus. Results Resistance testing remains a cornerstone of ART. It is recommended in newly-diagnosed individuals and in patients in whom ART has failed. Testing for transmitted integrase strand-transfer inhibitor resistance is currently not recommended, but this may change as more resistance emerges with widespread use. Sanger-based and next-generation sequencing approaches are each suited for genotypic testing. Testing for minority variants harboring drug resistance may only be considered if treatments depend on a first-generation nonnucleoside analogue reverse transcriptase inhibitor. Different HIV-1 subtypes do not need special considerations regarding resistance testing. Conclusions Testing for HIV drug resistance in drug-naive individuals and in patients in whom antiretroviral drugs are failing, and the appreciation of the role of testing, are crucial to the prevention and management of failure of ART.

Abstract
It has been over 30 years since the first antiretroviral agent was approved for treatment of HIV-1 infection and its impact on morbidity and mortality has been dramatic. However, early treatments were hindered by short- and long-term toxicity, poor tolerability, high pill burden, drug interactions and development of drug resistance. A major breakthrough in HIV therapeutics occurred over a decade ago with a new class of drugs that not only are preferred by HIV treatment guidelines but also are changing the HIV treatment paradigm. This new class of drugs are called HIV-1 integrase strand transfer inhibitors and they have established a role in almost every aspect of HIV treatment.

Abstract
Approximately 20% of people with HIV in the United States prescribed antiretroviral therapy are not virally suppressed. Thus, optimal management of virologic failure has a critical role in the ability to improve viral suppression rates to improve long-term health outcomes for those infected and to achieve epidemic control. This article discusses the causes of virologic failure, the use of resistance testing to guide management after failure, interpretation and relevance of HIV drug resistance patterns, considerations for selection of second-line and salvage therapies, and management of virologic failure in special populations.

Abstract
Trends in resistance to antiretroviral drugs for HIV-1 may inform clinical support and drug development. We evaluated drug resistance mutation (DRM) trends for nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRTI), non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NNRTI), protease inhibitor (PI), and integrase strand transfer inhibitor (INSTI) in a large U.S. reference laboratory database. DRMs with a Stanford HIV Drug Resistance Database mutation score ≥10 from deidentified subtype B NRTI/NNRTI/PI specimens (2006-2017; >10,000/year) and INSTI specimens (2010-2017; >1,000/year) were evaluated. Sequences with NRTI, NNRTI, or PI single- or multiclass DRMs declined from 48.9% to 39.3%. High-level dual- and triple-class resistance declined from 43.3% (2006) to 17.1% (2017), while sequences with only single-class DRMs increased from 40.0% to 52.9%. The prevalence of DRMs associated with earlier treatment regimens declined, while prevalence of some DRMs associated with newer regimens increased. M184V/I decreased from 48.3% to 29.4%. K103N/S/T declined from 42.5% in 2012 to 36.4% in 2017. Rilpivirine and etravirine DRMs E138A/Q/R and E138K increased from 4.9% and 0.4% to 9.7% and 1.7%, respectively. Sequences with ≥1 darunavir DRM declined from 18.1% to 4.8% by 2017. INSTI DRM Q148H/K/R declined from 39.3% (2010) to 13.8% (2017). Prevalence of elvitegravir-associated DRMs T66A/I/K, E92Q, S147G, and the dolutegravir-associated DRM R263K increased. For a subset of patients with serial testing, 50% (2,646/5,290) of those who initially had no reportable DRM subsequently developed ≥1 DRM for NRTI/NNRTI/PI and 49.7% (159/320) for INSTI. These trends may inform the need for baseline genotypic resistance testing. The detection of treatment-emergent DRMs in serially tested patients confirms the value of genotypic testing following virologic failure.

Abstract
Importance Antiretroviral therapy (ART) is the cornerstone of prevention and management of HIV infection. Objective To evaluate new data and treatments and incorporate this information into updated recommendations for initiating therapy, monitoring individuals starting therapy, changing regimens, and preventing HIV infection for individuals at risk. Evidence Review New evidence collected since the International Antiviral Society-USA 2016 recommendations via monthly PubMed and EMBASE literature searches up to April 2018; data presented at peer-reviewed scientific conferences. A volunteer panel of experts in HIV research and patient care considered these data and updated previous recommendations. Findings ART is recommended for virtually all HIV-infected individuals, as soon as possible after HIV diagnosis. Immediate initiation (eg, rapid start), if clinically appropriate, requires adequate staffing, specialized services, and careful selection of medical therapy. An integrase strand transfer inhibitor (InSTI) plus 2 nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs) is generally recommended for initial therapy, with unique patient circumstances (eg, concomitant diseases and conditions, potential for pregnancy, cost) guiding the treatment choice. CD4 cell count, HIV RNA level, genotype, and other laboratory tests for general health and co-infections are recommended at specified points before and during ART. If a regimen switch is indicated, treatment history, tolerability, adherence, and drug resistance history should first be assessed; 2 or 3 active drugs are recommended for a new regimen. HIV testing is recommended at least once for anyone who has ever been sexually active and more often for individuals at ongoing risk for infection. Preexposure prophylaxis with tenofovir disoproxil fumarate/emtricitabine and appropriate monitoring is recommended for individuals at risk for HIV. Conclusions and Relevance Advances in HIV prevention and treatment with antiretroviral drugs continue to improve clinical management and outcomes for individuals at risk for and living with HIV.
