Abstract
(1) Background: Migraine is associated with comorbidities that are common in the general rural pediatric population. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the differences in the occurrence of comorbidities between rural children and adolescents with and without migraine. (2) Methods: A cross-sectional, secondary data analysis using electronic medical records of 1296 patients (53.8% females, aged 12.4 ± 3.2) was completed. Mann-Whitney U test was used to detect the difference in the number of comorbidities between the two groups. Chi-square test was used to identify the differences in the number of comorbidities, which were classified as low (0-1 comorbidities), medium (2-3 comorbidities), and high (4 or plus comorbidities) degree of comorbidities. (3) Results: Significant differences were found between those children and adolescents with migraine vs. those without for depression (p < 0.0001), anxiety (p < 0.0001), and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS; p = 0.0309). A marginally significant difference was found between those children and adolescents with migraine (47.2%; n = 306) vs. those without (42.1%; n = 273) for unhealthy weight (p = 0.0652). Approximately 40% of the migraineurs had 2-3 comorbidities, whereas 32% of the non-migraineurs had 2-3 comorbidities (p = 0.0003). (4) Conclusions: Findings demonstrate the importance of identifying comorbidities associated with rural pediatric migraine in order to develop effective treatment strategies that optimize patient outcomes.

Abstract
In order to pursue its purpose of reducing the global burden of headache, the Global Campaign against Headache has gathered data on headache-attributed burden from countries worldwide. These data, from the individual participants in adult population-based studies and child and adolescent schools-based studies, are being collated in two databases, which will be powerful resources for research and teaching and rich information sources for health policy.Here we briefly describe the structure and content of these databases, and announce the intention to make them available in due course as a free good.

Abstract
The Global Campaign against Headache, as a collaborative activity with the World Health Organization (WHO), was formally launched in Copenhagen in March 2004. In the month it turns 18, we review its activities and achievements, from initial determination of its strategic objectives, through partnerships and project management, knowledge acquisition and awareness generation, to evidence-based proposals for change justified by cost-effectiveness analysis.

Abstract
Hypertension is a leading risk factor of cardiovascular disease and it is becoming increasingly prevalent globally. Correspondingly, the Chinese government and public health institutions have issued a series of policy documents and guidelines for hypertension. However, no comprehensive review of such documents has been conducted. Hence, this review aims to provide an up-to-date and comprehensive assessment of not only the disease burden, but also hypertension management policies and guidelines in China. A total of 15 epidemiological studies based on national population surveys, 15 Chinese Hypertension Guidelines, and seven policy documents were identified. We found a larger burden of hypertension in men, while the awareness, treatment, and control rates have remained low in both sexes. The ranges of hypertension prevalence, awareness, treatment, and control rate among hypertensive patients were 18.0-44.7%, 23.6-56.2%, 14.2-48.5%, and 4.2-30.1% respectively. Chinese hypertension guidelines provide evidence-based instructions to healthcare practitioners over hypertension management in which primary healthcare is increasingly emphasized. Finally, the policy documents set national goals for hypertension management and standardized the services provided in primary healthcare. The findings highlight the importance of integrating new guidelines into hypertension management provided by primary healthcare practitioners and the need to evaluate the implementation of guidelines and policies.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Hypertension and headache disorders are major contributors to public ill health, linked by a long-standing but questionable belief that hypertension is a conspicuous cause of headache. In Nepal, where hypertension is common and often untreated, we assessed the substance of this belief, hypothesising that, should hypertension be a significant cause of headache, a clear positive association between these disorders would exist. METHODS In a cross-sectional, nationwide study, trained health workers conducted face-to-face structured interviews, during unannounced home visits, with a representative sample of the Nepalese adult population (18-65 years). They applied standard diagnostic criteria for headache disorders and measured blood pressure digitally. Hypertension was defined as systolic pressure ≥140 and/or diastolic ≥90 mm Hg. RESULTS Of 2,100 participants (59.0% female, mean age 36.4 ± 12.8 years), 317 (15.1%) had hypertension (41.0% female) and 1,794 (85.4%) had headache (61.6% female; 728 migraine, 863 tension-type headache, 161 headache on ≥15 days/month [mutually exclusive diagnoses]; 42 unclassified headaches).All headache collectively was less prevalent among hypertension cases (78.9%) than non-cases (86.6%; p = 0.001). A negative association between hypertension and all headache was demonstrated in bivariate analysis (odds ratio: 0.6 [95% Confidence interval: 0.4-0.8]; p < 0.001), but did not maintain significance in multivariate regression analysis (adjusted odds ratio: 0.8 [95% Confidence interval: 0.5-1.1]; p = 0.09). The findings were reflected, without significance, in each headache type. CONCLUSIONS If any association exists between hypertension and headache disorders, it is negative. From the public-health perspective, headache disorders and hypertension are unrelated entities: they need distinct policies and programs for prevention, control and management.

Abstract
This study investigated the effects of sedentary occupations on type 2 diabetes and hypertension in different ethnic groups in North West China. All subjects were civil servants who received health examinations in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from October 2010 to March 2014. A total of 46,612 participants (39,120 Han, 4148 Uygur, 2098 Hui, 877 Kazak and 369 other ethnicities) completed the examination. Overall, 16.4% of the Han, 14.4% of the Uygur, 15.9% of the Hui, 20.6% of the Kazak and 16.0% of other ethnicities had hypertension. Diabetes was found in 7.6% of the Han, 8.5% of the Uygur, 9.2% of the Hui, 7.4% of the Kazak, and 3.3% of other ethnicities. There was a significant difference between men and women in the prevalence of diabetes (4.3% in women vs 9.7% in men, p < 0.001) and hypertension (9.7% in women vs 21.0% in men, p < 0.001). Our results indicate that both diabetes and hypertension are highly prevalent in individuals with sedentary occupations.
