Prevalence of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease in Pakistan: a systematic review and meta-analysis

Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is the most common chronic liver condition globally and the leading cause of liver-related death and morbidity. The goal of this study was to collect current data in order to calculate the pooled prevalence of NAFLD in Pakistan. We conducted a comprehensive literature search on four electronic databases until March 2024 to find studies on the prevalence of NAFLD in Pakistan. Pooled prevalence estimates of NAFLD were obtained using random-effects meta-analytic models. The chi-square test was used to account for study heterogeneity, whereas the I2 statistic was used to assess inconsistency. The data were stratified by the general population (average risk) and individuals with metabolic diseases (high risk). Two reviewers thoroughly and independently screened, reviewed, and assessed all studies. In total, 468 studies were reviewed, and 34 were included. The pooled NAFLD prevalence in the general population was 29.82% (95% CI 21.39-39.01%; prediction interval: 2.98-68.92%) based on 13 studies. In individuals with metabolic disorders, the prevalence of NAFLD in patients with diabetes, hypertension, and obesity, was 58.47% (95% CI 54.23-62.64%; prediction interval: 38.16-77.40%), 74.08% (95% CI 60.50-85.70%), and 47.43% (95% CI 30.49-64.66%), respectively. There was no evidence of publication bias, although a statistically significant level of heterogeneity was seen among the studies (I2 ranged from 57.5 to 98.69%). The findings of this study indicate a substantial prevalence of NAFLD in the population of Pakistan. The Pakistani government must formulate a comprehensive approach and plan aimed at augmenting awareness, control, prevention, and treatment of fatty liver disease.Prospero Registration no: CRD42022356607.

Nationwide prevalence of type 2 diabetes mellitus and pre-diabetes in Pakistan: A systematic review and meta-analysis

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and pre-diabetes (pre-DM) are significant health concerns in Pakistan. This systematic review and meta-analysis estimate the prevalence of T2DM and pre-DM, assessing regional, gender, and urban-rural differences. We searched PubMed, Scopus, Cochrane, and PakMediNet databases, identifying 3478 articles. After screening, 17 studies from 1995 to 2018 were included. The pooled prevalence of T2DM and pre-DM in Pakistan was found to be 10.0 % and 11.0 %, respectively. This equates to approximately 24 million individuals with T2DM and 26 million with pre-DM, totaling 50 million affected. Rural areas showed higher T2DM prevalence post-2000, with an odds ratio (OR) of 1.25 (95 % CI: 0.73 to 2.14). Gender analysis revealed a slightly higher, though statistically insignificant, prevalence of T2DM in females and a significantly higher prevalence of pre-DM in males (OR: 0.79, 95 % CI: 0.63 to 0.98). Regionally, Punjab had the highest T2DM prevalence (16 %), followed by Baluchistan (15 %), Sindh (14 %), and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) (11 %). There is a substantial burden of T2DM and pre-DM in Pakistan, with significant regional and gender differences. Targeted interventions and resource allocation are needed to address the rising prevalence of diabetes, focusing on early detection and lifestyle modifications.

Non-linear associations of atherogenic index of plasma with prediabetes and type 2 diabetes mellitus among Chinese adults aged 45 years and above: a cross-sectional study from CHARLS

Background

Dyslipidemia is strongly associated with the development of prediabetes and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). The atherogenic index of plasma (AIP), as a comprehensive index for assessing lipid metabolism, has received extensive attention from researchers in recent years. However, there are relatively few studies exploring the relationships between AIP and the risk of prediabetes and T2DM in the Chinese population. This study focuses on exploring the relationships of AIP with the risk of prediabetes and T2DM in the Chinese population.

Methods

We conducted an analysis of the public data from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS), involving a total of 12,060 participants aged 45 years and above in China. The study explored the relationships of AIP with prediabetes and T2DM risk through multivariate logistic regression, subgroup analysis, smooth curve fitting, and threshold effect analysis.

Results

After adjusting for potential confounding factors, we observed positive associations between AIP and the risk of prediabetes [odds ratio (OR) = 1.75, 95% confidence interval (CI): 1.49-2.06] and T2DM (OR = 2.91, 95% CI: 2.38-3.57). Participants with higher AIP levels demonstrated a significantly elevated risk of prediabetes (OR = 1.52, 95% CI: 1.33-1.74) and T2DM (OR = 2.28, 95% CI: 1.92-2.71) compared to those with lower AIP levels. AIP showed consistent correlations with prediabetes and T2DM risk in different subgroups. The results showed the non-linear relationships between AIP and risk of prediabetes and T2DM, with inflection points at 0.29 and -0.04, respectively. When AIP > 0.29, there was a positive association between AIP and the risk of prediabetes (OR = 2.24, 95% CI: 1.67-3.00, p < 0.0001). Similarly, when AIP > -0.04, AIP was positively associated with the risk of T2DM (OR = 3.33, 95% CI: 2.67-4.16, p < 0.0001).

Conclusions

This study demonstrated non-linear positive associations of AIP with the risk of prediabetes and T2DM among participants ≥ 45 years of age in China.

Incidence of Vitamin D Deficiency and Its Association With Microalbuminuria in Patients With Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

Background Vitamin D (VD) deficiency is common in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). VD deficiency and its associated factors are understudied in Pakistan. This study aimed to estimate the incidence of VD deficiency and its association with microalbuminuria in patients with T2DM. Methods This descriptive cross-sectional study was performed on 110 patients diagnosed with T2DM aged between 30 and 65 years in the outpatient department clinic of diabetes in Benazir Bhutto Hospital, Rawalpindi, for around eight months from November 2022 to June 2023. Non-probability sampling technique and established inclusion and exclusion criteria were used for patient recruitment. Ethical approval and informed consent were also waived before data collection. Data collection was done by an interview-based and self-designed questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out via descriptive statistics along with chi-square, independent-samples t-test, and Pearson correlation in Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 25 (Armonk, NY: IBM Corp.). Results The means of the study population for age, serum VD, and UACR (urine spot for albumin-to-creatinine ratio) were 48.50±15.67 years, 28.16±15.34 ng/mL, and 29.69± 87.22 µg/mg, respectively. The incidences of VD deficiency and microalbuminuria in the study population were 43.64% and 28.20%, respectively. VD deficiency was significantly associated with age group (p=0.002), gender (p=0.008), and albuminuria status (p=0.004). The comparison of means of UACR between the VD deficiency group and the non-VD deficiency group was also significant (0.001). VD deficiency was higher among older age groups, female gender, and patients with microalbuminuria. A significant negative correlation between serum VD level and UACR (microalbuminuria) (p=0.002) was present. Conclusion VD deficiency incidence was notably high in the study population. Older age, female gender, and microalbuminuria were found to elevate the VD deficiency to a crucial level. Serum VD deficiency and microalbuminuria were significantly and negatively correlated. Therefore, VD level should be monitored intermittently in T2DM, so that we could prevent the progression of T2DM timely.

The prevalence of peripheral neuropathy among the patients with diabetes in Pakistan: a systematic review and meta-analysis

The most frequent complication of diabetes is peripheral neuropathy. The estimated prevalence of peripheral neuropathy in people with diabetes varies substantially between published studies in Pakistan. We conducted this meta-analysis to summarize the prevalence of peripheral neuropathy in people with diabetes. Different electronic databases were systematically searched using keywords and MeSH terms. Random-effects meta-analysis was conducted to pool the prevalence of peripheral neuropathy in people with diabetes in Pakistan. Heterogeneity was investigated by random-effects meta-regression and stratification. Two independent authors reviewed studies, extracted data, and conducted the risk of bias analysis. Nineteen studies with a total of 8487 diabetic patients were included. The overall pooled prevalence of diabetic peripheral neuropathy was 43.16% (95% CI 32.93-53.69%), with significant heterogeneity between estimates. The prevalence of peripheral neuropathy among those newly diagnosed with diabetes was 26.52% (95% CI 14.97-39.96%, n = 5). According to the subgroup meta-analysis, the pooled prevalence of diabetic peripheral neuropathy was highest in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (55.29%; 95% CI 23.91-84.50%), followed by Sindh (40.04%; 95% CI 24.00-57.25%), and the lowest was found in Punjab (34.90%; 95% CI 15.05-57.95%). A significant association was found between the pooled prevalence estimate and the duration of diabetes. The results of this meta-analysis indicate a relatively high prevalence of peripheral neuropathy in people with diabetes in Pakistan. The prevalence of foot ulcers in diabetic patients in Pakistan: A systematic review and meta-analysis

We aimed to determine the pooled prevalence of diabetic foot ulcers in Pakistan. MEDLINE (PubMed), Web of Science, Google scholars, and local databases were systematically searched for studies published up to August 10, 2022, on the prevalence of foot ulcers among diabetic patients in Pakistan. Random-effects meta-analysis was used to generate summary estimates. Subgroup analysis and meta-regression models were used to address the issue of high heterogeneity. Two authors independently identified eligible articles, collected data, and performed a risk of bias analysis. Twelve studies were included in the meta-analysis (14201, range 230-2199, diabetic patients), of which 7 were of "high" quality. The pooled prevalence of diabetic foot ulcers was 12.16% (95% CI: 5.91-20.23%). We found significant between-study heterogeneity (I² = 99.3%; p < 0.001) but no statistical evidence of publication bias (p = 0.8544). Subgroup meta-analysis found significant differences in foot ulcer prevalence by publication year and by the duration of diabetes. An increasing trend was observed during the last two decades, with the prevalence of diabetic foot ulcers being the highest in the latest period from 2011 to 2022 (19.54%) than in the early 2000 s (4.55%). This study suggests that the prevalence of diabetic foot ulcers in Pakistan is relatively high, with significant variation between provinces. Further study is required to identify ways for early detection, prevention, and treatment in the population.

Prevalence of foot ulcers in diabetic patients in Punjab, Pakistan

Diabetes-related foot ulceration is prevalent and disabling, usually resulting in the amputation of the limb. The mortality rate is significant, and healed ulcers frequently reoccur. The main purpose of this study was to explore the prevalence of foot ulcers and their associated factors among diabetic patients in Punjab, Pakistan. Multistage cluster random sampling procedure was applied to perform a cross-sectional analysis in the state of Punjab, Pakistan. A sample of 1,503 people with diabetes, including 504 men and 999 women, were selected from different clusters. Data were collected from December 18, 2018, to June 30, 2019. Individuals of 18 years or above were selected. A binary multiple logistic regression analysis was utilized to find the factors associated with a diabetic foot ulcer. The overall prevalence of diabetic foot ulcers was 16.83% (95% CI: 14.9-18.7%). The prevalence among the female was 17.52% (95% CI: 15.2-19.9%), and the male was 15.48% (95% CI: 12.3-18.6%). In rural areas, prevalence was 13.91% (95% CI: 10.6-17.2%) compared to the prevalence of 17.96% (95% CI: 15.7-20.2%) in the urban area. Individuals 75 years and above had the highest prevalence of 66.67% (95% CI: 51.9-81.5%). According to the income status, subjects with monthly income above Rs. 61,000 had a prevalence of 24.24% (95% CI: 15.8-32.7%), and among overweight subjects was 25.49% (95% CI: 21.3-29.7%). This study found a relatively high prevalence of foot ulcers in Punjab, Pakistan. The results indicate that diabetic foot ulcers have become a major health problem in diabetic patients, and better strategies and preventive measures should be opted to deal with the epidemic.

Prevalence of type-2 diabetes and prediabetes in Malaysia: A systematic review and meta-analysis

OBJECTIVE

The main purpose of this study was to investigate the pooled prevalence of prediabetes and type-2 diabetes in the general population of Malaysia.

METHOD

We systematically searched Medline (PubMed), Embase, Web of Science, Google Scholar and Malaysian Journals Online to identify relevant studies published between January 1, 1995, and November 30, 2021, on the prevalence of type-2 diabetes in Malaysia. Random-effects meta-analyses were used to obtain the pooled prevalence of diabetes and prediabetes. Subgroup analyses also used to analyze to the potential sources of heterogeneity. Meta- regression was carried to assess associations between study characteristics and diabetes prevalence. Three independent authors selected studies and conducted the quality assessment. The quality of the final evidence was evaluated using the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation (GRADE) approach.

RESULTS

Of 2689 potentially relevant studies, 786 titles and abstract were screened. Fifteen studies with 103063 individuals were eligible to be included in the meta-analyses. The pooled prevalence of diabetes was 14.39% (95% CI, 12.51%-16.38%; I2 = 98.4%, 103063 participants from 15 studies). The pooled prevalence of prediabetes was 11.62% (95% CI, 7.17%-16.97%; I2 = 99.8, 88702 participants from 9 studies). The subgroup analysis showed statistically significant differences in diabetes prevalence by the ethical sub-populations with highest in Indians (25.10%; 95% CI, 20.19%-30.35%), followed by Malays (15.25%; 95% CI, 11.59%-19.29%), Chinese (12.87%; 95% CI, 9.73%-16.37%), Bumiputeras (8.62%; 95% CI, 5.41%-12.47%) and others (6.91%; 95% CI, 5.71%-8.19%). There was no evidence of publication bias, although heterogeneity was high (I2 ranged from 0.00% to 99·8%). The quality of evidence based on GRADE was low.

CONCLUSIONS

Results of this study suggest that a high prevalence of prediabetes and diabetes in Malaysia. The diabetes prevalence is associated with time period and increasing age. The Malaysian government should develop a comprehensive approach and strategy to enhance diabetes awareness, control, prevention, and treatment.

Effect of short duration moderate intensity physical activity on glycemic control and antioxidant status of prediabetic population

OBJECTIVES

To determine the effect of moderate-intensity physical activity on glycemic control and antioxidant status in the prediabetic population.

METHODS

This experimental study was carried out in the Physiology Department, Institute of Basic Medical Sciences, Khyber Medical University, Peshawar, Pakistan. A total of 50 adult prediabetic subjects having 22 females and 28 males with the age range of 18 to 35 years were included. Diagnosis of prediabetes was made by glycated hemoglobin falling in the range of 5.7-6.4%, and impaired fasting glucose (100-125 mg/dL). Anthropometric measurements and biochemical assays were carried out at pre and post-exercise intervention. The participants performed moderate exercise of 30 min with heart rate max 7% ± 5% for 5 days a week for 8 weeks, monitored with pedometer. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was carried out for individual and total antioxidants.

RESULTS

Anthropometric parameters showed a significant decrease at post-exercise analysis. Similar changes were observed for fasting glucose (p<0.001) and glycated hemoglobin (p<0.001). Slight increase in uric acid (p<0.005) and total antioxidant concentration (p<0.001) were found. However, superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase, vitamin C, and nitric oxide decreased (p<0.001).

CONCLUSION

Moderate physical activity for 8 weeks significantly reduced the individual antioxidant levels, nominal increase in total antioxidant capacity and uric acid, and there was an explicit decline in the anthropometric and diabetic profile of prediabetic population.

The prevalence of diabetes in Afghanistan: a systematic review and meta-analysis

BACKGROUND

The aim of this paper is to investigate the prevalence of diabetes and its associated risk factors in Afghanistan through a systematic review and meta-analysis.

METHODS

A comprehensive literature search was conducted using EMBASE, PubMed, Web of Sciences, Google Scholar and the Cochrane library, carried out from inception to April 312,020, without language restriction. Meta-analysis was performed using DerSimonian and Laird random-effects models with inverse variance weighting. The existence of publication bias was initially assessed by visual inspection of a funnel plot and then tested by the Egger regression test. Subgroup analyses and meta-regression were used to explore potential sources of heterogeneity. This systematic review was reported by following the PRISMA guidelines and the methodological quality of each included study was evaluated using the STROBE guidelines.

RESULTS

Out of 64 potentially relevant studies, only 06 studies fulfilled the inclusion criteria and were considered for meta-analysis. The pooled prevalence of diabetes in the general population based on population-based studies were 12.13% (95% CI: 8.86-16.24%), based on a pooled sample of 7071 individuals. Results of univariate meta-regression analysis revealed that the prevalence of diabetes increased with mean age, hypertension and obesity. There was no significant association between sex (male vs female), smoking, the methodological quality of included articles or education (illiterate vs literate) and the prevalence of diabetes.

CONCLUSIONS

This meta-analysis reports the 12.13% prevalence of diabetes in Afghanistan,with the highest prevalence in Kandahar and the lowest in Balkh province. The main risk factors include increasing age, obesity and hypertension. Community-based care and preventive training programmes are recommended.

Assessment of genetic risk of type 2 diabetes among Pakistanis based on GWAS-implicated loci

Genome-wide association studies (GWAS) have identified multiple type 2 diabetes (T2D) loci, mostly among populations of European descent. There is a high prevalence of T2D among Pakistanis. Both genetic and environmental factors may be responsible for this high prevalence. In order to understand the shared genetic basis of T2D among Pakistanis and Europeans, we examined 77 genome-wide significant variants previously implicated among European populations. We genotyped 77 single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) by iPLEX® Gold or TaqMan® assays in a case-control sample of 1,683 individuals. Association analysis was performed using logistic regression. A total of 16 SNPs (TCF7L2/rs7903146, GLIS3/rs7041847, CHCHD9/rs13292136, PLEKHA1/rs2292626, FTO/rs9936385, CDKAL1/rs7756992, KCNJ11/rs5215, LOC105372155/rs12970134, KCNQ1/rs163182, CTRB1/rs7202877, ST6GAL1/rs16861329, ADAMTS9-AS2/rs6795735, LOC105370275/rs1359790, C5orf67/rs459193, ZBED3-AS1/rs6878122 and UBE2E2/rs7612463) showed statistically significant associations after controlling for the false discovery rate. While KCNQ1/rs163182 and ZBED3-AS1/rs6878122 showed opposite allelic effects, the remaining significant SNPs had the same allelic effects as reported previously. Our data indicate that a selected number of T2D loci previously identified among populations of European descent also affect the risk of T2D in the Pakistani population.

Investigation of geographic disparities of pre-diabetes and diabetes in Florida

BACKGROUND

Diabetes is a leading cause of death and disability in the United States, and its precursor, pre-diabetes, is estimated to occur in one-third of American adults. Understanding the geographic disparities in the distribution of these conditions and identifying high-prevalence areas is critical to guiding control and prevention programs. Therefore, the objective of this study was to investigate clusters of pre-diabetes and diabetes risk in Florida and identify significant predictors of the conditions.

METHODS

Data from the 2013 Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System were obtained from the Florida Department of Health. Spatial scan statistics were used to identify and locate significant high-prevalence local clusters. The county prevalence proportions of pre-diabetes and diabetes and the identified significant clusters were displayed in maps. Logistic regression was used to identify significant predictors of the two conditions for individuals living within and outside high-prevalence clusters.

RESULTS

The study included a total of 34,186 respondents. The overall prevalence of pre-diabetes and diabetes were 8.2 and 11.5%, respectively. Three significant (p < 0.05) local, high-prevalence spatial clusters were detected for pre-diabetes, while five were detected for diabetes. The counties within the high-prevalence clusters had prevalence ratios ranging from 1.29 to 1.85. There were differences in the predictors of the conditions based on whether respondents lived within or outside high-prevalence clusters. Predictors of both pre-diabetes and diabetes regardless of region or place of residence were obesity/overweight, hypertension, and hypercholesterolemia. Income and physical activity level were significant predictors of diabetes but not pre-diabetes. Arthritis, sex, and marital status were significant predictors of diabetes only among residents of high-prevalence clusters, while educational attainment and smoking were significant predictors of diabetes only among residents of non-cluster counties.

CONCLUSIONS

Geographic disparities of pre-diabetes and diabetes exist in Florida. Information from this study is useful for guiding resource allocation and targeting of intervention programs focusing on identified modifiable predictors of pre-diabetes and diabetes so as to reduce health disparities and improve the health of all Floridians.

Prevalence of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in Adult Population of Pakistan: A Meta-Analysis of Prospective Cross-Sectional Surveys

Background:

The clinical and methodological diversity observed in national and regional diabetes surveys, emphasized on the need of the weighted average prevalence of diabetes.

Objective:

To measure the pooled prevalence of type 2 diabetes mellitus in the adult population of Pakistan.

Methods:

The prospective cross-sectional studies reporting adult diabetes in Pakistan and published on any date were retrieved from PubMed, ScienceDirect and PakMediNet databases. In the meta-analysis, PRISMA guidelines were used for reporting; the AXIS tool for assessing quality and risk of bias within studies; I² statistics for measuring heterogeneity between studies and subgroups; and Tableau Public 10.4 for geographic mapping of included studies. Using Meta-Analyst 3.13 βeta, overall and subgroup pooled estimates were measured by random effects model.

Results:

The pooled sample of twelve studies included 42,051 adults (≥20 years) comprised of both sexes from urban and rural Pakistan. The pooled prevalence of diabetes was 13.7% (95% CI, 10.7–17.3). None of the twelve studies was of poor quality (<10 scores). Ten studies were published in ISI indexed journals, and nine of them were indexed for Medline. The level of heterogeneity observed across studies and between subgroups was moderate (<50%). The subgroup analysis revealed a higher pooled estimate of diabetes in males than in females (13.1 vs. 12.4%). It was also higher in urban than in rural patients (15.1 vs. 1.6%), and in HbA1c than in OGTT tests (23.9 vs. 14.4%). However, pooled estimates of the WHO and the ADA criteria were similar (13.8 vs. 13.5%).

Conclusions:

The prevalence of diabetes is on the rise in the adult population of Pakistan. The heterogeneity across studies observed in the meta-analysis suggested that the design of future diabetes surveys should be efficient and purposeful, and that valid tools and methods should be used to generate more precise data. Moreover, harmony between the stakeholders is much needed to seek a true picture of the diabetes burden in the country.

Diabetes in Pakistan: A systematic review and meta-analysis

OBJECTIVE

The purpose of this study was assess the time trend of the prevalence of prediabetes and diabetes and risk factors associated with diabetes in Pakistan by using a systematic review and meta-analysis.

METHODS

A systematic literature search of Embase, PubMed, and the Cochrane library was carried out between January 1, 1995 and August 30, 2018. Diabetes and prediabetes prevalence estimates were combined by the random-effects model. The existence of publication bias was tested by Egger regression. This systematic review was reported following the PRISMA guidelines.

RESULTS

The search conceded a total of 635 studies, only 14 studies were considered for meta-analysis. The prevalence of diabetes in Pakistan was revealed 14.62% (10.651%-19.094%; 14 studies) based on 49,418 people using the inverse-variance random-effects model. The prevalence of prediabetes was 11.43% (8.26%-15.03%; 10 studies) based on a total sample of 26,999 people. The risk factors associated with diabetes were mean age (β = 0.48%, 95% CI: 0.21-0.78, p<0.001), the proportion of participants with a family history of diabetes (β = 0. 45%, 95% CI: 0.08-0.82, p =0.018, p<0.001), hypertension (β = 0.40%, 95% CI: 0.06-0.75, p = 0.022), weight (BMI) (β = 0.21%, 95% CI: 0.02-0.4, p=0.030).

CONCLUSIONS

There has been a continuous increase in the prevalence of prediabetes and diabetes in Pakistan. All parts of the country have been affected, with the highest in Sindh and lowest in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The main factors include growing age, family history, hypertension and obesity. A nationwide diabetes care survey on risk factors and prevention policy is highly recommended.

Research Designs and Statistical Methods Trends in the Annals of Rehabilitation Medicine

Objective

To investigate trends of the research designs and statistical methods in the Annals of Rehabilitation Medicine (ARM) published from 2005 to 2015 through a comparison of articles with the Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (APMR).

Methods

The authors reviewed all articles published in ARM and APMR for the years 2005 and 2015 in order to determine their research designs as well as their statistical methods used in each article.

Results

In ARM, randomized controlled trials increased from 4.5% in 2005 to 6.5% in 2015. In APMR, randomized controlled trials increased from 8.1% in 2005 to 14.0% in 2015, meta-analyses increased to 5.3%, and systematic reviews increased to 6%. The number of studies using statistical methods increased in ARM from 1.9 to 2.6 per article and in APMR, from 2.7 to 3.1. Use of advanced methods in ARM also showed an increase from 2005 to 2015.

Conclusion

This study concludes that there is a trend of increased awareness and attempts to use varied research approaches in ARM articles. There should also be more in-depth discussions and opportunities for researchers to share their experiences regarding statistical methods in the clinical field.
