Abstract
OBJECTIVES To answer the PICO(S) question: Is there a difference in clinical longevity between direct and indirect resin composite restorations placed on permanent posterior teeth? DATA Randomized controlled clinical trials (RCTs) investigating direct and indirect resin composite restorations in posterior permanent teeth were considered. SOURCES Several electronic databases were searched, with no language or date restrictions. The revised Cochrane Collaboration's tool for assessing risk of bias (RoB-2) was used to analyze the studies; meta-analyses were run and the certainty of evidence was assessed by the GRADE tool. A subgroup meta-analysis was performed for resin composite restorations placed on posterior worn dentition. STUDY SELECTION Twenty-three articles were included in qualitative synthesis, while 8 studies were used for meta-analyses. According to the RoB-2 tool, 5 studies were ranked as "low risk", 7 had "some concerns", while 11 papers were rated as "high risk" of bias. There were no statistically significant differences in short-term (p = 0.27; RR=1.54, 95% CI [0.72, 3.33]), medium-term (p = 0.27; RR=1.87, 95% CI [0.61, 5.72]) and long-term longevity (p = 0.86; RR=0.95, 95% CI [0.57, 1.59]). The choice of restorative technique had no influence on short-term survival of resin composite restorations placed on worn dentition (p = 0.13; RR=0.46, 95% CI [0.17, 1.25]). The certainty of evidence was rated as "very low". CONCLUSIONS Direct and indirect resin composite restorations may show similar clinical longevity in posterior region, regardless of the observation period or substrate (wear-affected and non-affected dentition). The very low quality of evidence suggests that more long-term RCTs are needed to confirm our results.

Abstract
PURPOSE To determine whether the fracture resistance of computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) resin-based composites and polymer-infiltrated ceramic network materials cemented on dentin is influenced by the restoration thickness and composite cement application strategy. METHODS Disc-shaped specimens (Ø = 7 mm) of 0.8 mm and 1.5 mm thicknesses were milled from two CAD/CAM materials: resin-based composite (RBC, Cerasmart 270) and polymer-infiltrated ceramic network (PICN, Vita Enamic). The discs (n = 8 per group) were cemented on flattened dentin using three different cementation strategies: 1) self-adhesive composite cement (RelyX U200) in light-curing mode (LC-SAC), 2) universal adhesive (Single Bond Universal) with composite cement (RelyX Ultimate) in auto-curing mode (AC cement), and 3) adhesive and composite cement as in 2) but in light-curing mode (LC cement). The restorative surface was indented perpendicularly with a compressive load using a universal testing machine until fracture. The fracture resistance (N) of RBC and PICN was separately analyzed using two-way ANOVA and Tukey's post-hoc test (α = 0.05). RESULTS The fracture resistance of each material was significantly influenced by the material thickness and cementation strategy (P < 0.05). Irrespective of the material type and cementation strategy, thicker materials exhibit higher fracture resistance. For RBC, the fracture resistance of the LC cement group was significantly higher than that of AC cement only at 0.8 mm thickness. For PICN, the LC-cement cementation strategy produced superior fracture resistance, regardless of the restoration thickness. CONCLUSIONS The fracture resistance of Cerasmart 270 was higher for the thicker material; the fracture resistance of LC cement was higher than that of AC cement at 0.8 mm thickness cemented to dentin. In comparison, LC cement showed the highest fracture resistance for Vita Enamic for both material thicknesses.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES to characterize the effects of graphene oxide (GO) on polymethyl methacrylate's (PMMA) reliability and lifetime. The hypothesis tested was that GO would increase both Weibull parameters and decreased strength degradation over time. METHODS PMMA disks containing GO (0.01, 0.05, 0.1, or 0.5 wt%) were subjected to a biaxial flexural test to determine the Weibull parameters (m: modulus of Weibull; σ0: characteristic strength; n = 30 at 1 MPa/s) and slow crack growth (SCG) parameters (n: subcritical crack growth susceptibility coefficient, σf0: scaling parameter; n = 10 at 10-2, 10-1, 101, 100 and 102 MPa/s). Strength-probability-time (SPT) diagrams were plotted by merging SCG and Weibull parameters. RESULTS There was no significant difference in the m value of all materials. However, 0.5 GO presented the lowest σ0, whereas all other groups were similar. The lowest n value obtained for all GO-modified PMMA groups (27.4 for 0.05 GO) was higher than the Control (15.6). The strength degradation predicted after 15 years for Control was 12%, followed by 0.01 GO (7%), 0.05 GO (9%), 0.1 GO (5%), and 0.5 GO (1%). SIGNIFICANCE The hypothesis was partially accepted as GO increased PMMA's fatigue resistance and lifetime but did not significantly improve its Weibull parameters. GO added to PMMA did not significantly affect the initial strength and reliability but significantly increased PMMA's predicted lifetime. All the GO-containing groups presented higher resistance to fracture at all times analyzed compared with the Control, with the best overall results observed for 0.1 GO.

Abstract
BACKGROUND CAD/CAM resin matrix ceramics are one of the materials used in dental offices. The long-term success of the restoration depends on the bond strength of the restoration to the tooth and other materials; thus, surface treatment of the restoration is necessary to achieve this. But such treatment may affect the restoration strength. The purpose of this study is to assess the impact of various surface treatments on the surface roughness (Ra) and the biaxial flexural strength of two CAD-CAM resin-matrix ceramics. METHODS Thirty-six-disc-shaped specimens, each measuring 1.2 mm in thickness and 12 mm in diameter, were machined from two resin-matrix ceramic blocks (Lava Ultimate and Cerasmart) (n = 18). Based on the surface treatments, each material was divided into 3 groups: control (no treatment), 50-μm Al2O3 sandblasting, or 9% hydrofluoric acid etching (n = 6). The surface roughness (Ra) was evaluated by the 3D laser scanning microscope. Then, specimens were aged by thermal cycling (5000 cycles) and tested for biaxial flexural strength using a universal testing machine at a crosshead speed of 1.0 mm/min. RESULTS No significant differences in flexural strength or Ra were found for Lava Ultimate among the surface treatment groups. For Cerasmart, only the sandblasting group showed significantly higher Ra values than the control group. Also, the Ra values for the sandblasting group were significantly higher than those for the acid etching group. The flexural strengths of the sandblasting and acid etching groups for Cerasmart were statistically similar, and both were significantly lower than the control group. CONCLUSIONS Although all of the applied surface conditioning techniques improved Ra, they had a negative impact on the flexural strength of resin-matrix ceramics. Thus, clinicians should utilize the appropriate surface treatment techniques, taking into account their effects on the surface roughness and mechanical properties of resin-matrix ceramics.

Influence of Artificial Aging on Mechanical Properties of Six Resin Composite Blocks for CAD/CAM Application. COATINGS 2022. Abstract
(1) The interactions in the oral cavity between resin composite blocks for CAD/CAM application and saliva, biofilm, and chemicals and their influence on mechanical properties are still mostly unknown. The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of artificial aging on the flexural strength, flexural modulus, hardness, Weibull modulus, and probability of failure of six resin composite CAD/CAM materials. (2) The aging was conducted by storing the specimens in water at 37 °C for 3 months, then a 3-point bending test was applied and measured. The microhardness was measured with a Vickers microhardness tester. Weibull analysis (according to ISO) was also performed. The shape and scale parameters were calculated. (3) After aging, the flexural strength values ranged from 95.51 (SD 9.07) MPa for the aged Shofu Block HC (HC) to 160.28 (SD 10.37) MPa for non-aged Gandio blocks (GR), and the flexural modulus values ranged from 7.75 (SD 0.19) GPa for HC to 16.77 (SD 0.60) GPa for GR. The microhardness (HV01) ranged from 72.71 (SD 1.43) for the Katana Avencia Block (AV) to 140.50 (SD 5.51) for GR. After aging, the Weibull characteristic strength ranged from 99.47 MPa for HC to 169.25 MPA for Brilliant Crios (CR). (4) Water storage led to a decrease in flexural strength and characteristic strength and slightly affected the flexural modulus. Gandio Blocks, Tetric CAD, and Brilliant Crios presented higher flexural strength than others.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES The purpose of this study is to evaluate, over a simulated 5-year period, the effect of simulated gastric juice alternated with brushing on CAD-CAM monolithic materials considering microhardness, substance loss, flexural strength, and reliability of the materials. METHODOLOGY Blocks from Lava Ultimate (LU), Vita Enamic (VE), IPS Empress CAD (EMP), IPS e.max CAD (EMAX), and Vita Suprinity (VS) were milled into cylinders and sliced into disks. The EMAX and VS were crystallized, and all specimens were polished with silicon carbide papers and allocated as follows: 1) artificial saliva + brushing or 2) simulated gastric juice (0.113% hydrochloric acid (HCl) solution in deionized water, pH 1.2) + brushing, simulating 1, 3, and 5 years of clinical function. Each year of clinical function was simulated by three repetitions of immersion for 3 hours in artificial saliva or simulated gastric juice followed by 1,217 brushing cycles. The microhardness and substance loss were evaluated at baseline (T0) and at each year by using a Vickers hardness tester and an analytical balance. The biaxial flexural strength (BFS) test was performed in a mechanical testing machine at the end of the 5th year. Weibull modulus was calculated from the BFS data. RESULTS The microhardness of the LU was not influenced by the treatment, whereas that of the other materials, in certain years, was significantly lower in the gastric juice + brushing groups in comparison with artificial saliva + brushing groups. In general, the materials did not present a significant change in microhardness over time, for either of the treatments. The LU alone showed greater substance loss in the gastric juice + brushing groups for every year. In both treatments, the LU, VE, and EMP exhibited a significant increase in the substance loss over time. The treatment did not affect the BFS of the materials. The gastric juice + brushing decreased the reliability of the VE. CONCLUSIONS All materials were somehow impaired by the gastric juice + brushing in at least one of the evaluated parameters, except for the BFS. However, in a deeper analysis, the LU would be the least indicated materials, followed by VE, for patients with eating disorders.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Surface pre-reacted glass fillers (S-PRG) can release different types of ions and in our previous study, we modified these fillers with lithium chloride (S-PRG/Li-100 mM) to induce reparative dentin formation by activating the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway. Here, we assessed the biological performance of S-PRG/Li-100 mM and compared it with that of mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) and S-PRG without additives. METHODS In vivo studies were conducted on male Wistar rats using Masson's trichrome staining in pulp-capped molars. The test materials were implanted subcutaneously to evaluate their capacity for vascularization and biocompatibility. The ability of the test materials to form apatite was tested by immersing them in simulated body fluid. Rhodamine-B staining was conducted to assess their sealing ability in bovine teeth, while their antibacterial activity was evaluated against Streptococcus mutans and Lactobacillus casei in terms of colony-forming units and by live/dead staining. RESULTS Masson's trichrome staining and tissue-implantation tests confirmed the biocompatibility of S-PRG/Li-100 mM and it was similar to that of MTA and S-PRG; inflammation regression was observed 14 days after operation in the subcutaneous tissues. S-PRG/Li-100 mM promoted the formation of apatite on its surface. Both the S-PRG groups showed higher sealing capability and bactericidal/bacteriostatic activity against oral bacterial biofilms than MTA. SIGNIFICANCE Lithium-containing surface pre-reacted glass cements exhibit better antibacterial and sealing capabilities than MTA, suggesting their potential as high-performance direct pulp-capping materials.

Abstract
The objectives of this study were to evaluate 4 aspects of ion-leaching restorative materials (ILMs): 4-point bending flexural strength (4 PB-FS) and relative mechanical properties; biaxial flexural strength (B-FS) in relation to 4 PB-FS; porosity; and surface morphology. Eleven ILMs were used for the 4-point bending test. Bar-shaped (n = 15) samples were fabricated, stored in distilled water for 7 days. Then 4 PB-FS and the other mechanical properties were determined. Five ILMs were selected for the B-FS test using disk specimens (n = 15). The correlation between 4 PB-FS and B-FS was addressed. After the 4 PB test, 5 randomised fragments from each material were used to make 0.5 mm-thick sections for light microscopy to investigate the degree of porosity using reflected and transmitted lights. Eight ILMs were selected for quantitative analysis of the fractional % pore volume (PV%) due to their relative pore prominence using ImageJ software. One-way ANOVA/Dunnett's T3 was used to test for significance. Resin-based ILMs (RB-ILMs) were ranked first (p < 0.05) for 4 PB-FS values (53.3-110.2 MPa) followed by resin-modified glass-ionomer cements (RMGICs; 30.9-44.3 MPa) and high-viscosity glass-ionomer cements (HVGICs; 12.9-19.6 MPa), respectively. 'Flexural modulus' (4 PB-E) and 'flexural toughness' (4 PB-T) of ILMs varied even though similar 4 PB-FS values were observed. There was a positive correlation (p < 0.001) between 4PB-FS and B-FS (R2 = 0.992) with B-FS>4 PB-FS. There was no correlation between PV% and 4 PB-FS. In summary, material type played a major role in 4 PB-FS outcomes, whereas PV% seemed to have a minor effect when evaluating each material group of ILMs. Brittleness/ductility of ILMs was observed when determining 4 PB-E and 4 PB-T relative to 4 PB-FS. When selecting materials for posterior load-bearing dental restorations in high-caries risk patients, RB-ILMs or RMGICs would be more appropriate due to their superior flexural properties compared with recently introduced HVGICs. The decision for each situation will also be dependent on further evidence of the ion-leaching capacity.

Abstract
PURPOSE A bioactive high performance polymer (BioHPP) and computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) composite resin materials are a relatively new class of dental biomaterials, that are biocompatible and have good aesthetic features. In this review paper, we will summarize literature and publication data on the characteristics of the mentioned materials, as well as their potential application in the dental prosthetics. STUDY SELECTION Available studies and literature reviews from PubMed, SCIndex, Scopus and Google Scholar corresponding to polyetheretherketone (PEEK), high-performance polymers, reinforced composite materials, composite materials, resins, glass-fiber reinforced materials, CAD/CAM materials, dental implants, removable and fixed dental were reviewed. RESULTS To avoid many disadvantages of metals and their alloys in dental practice, such as inadequate color, high density, thermal conductivity and possible allergic reactions, materials based on polymers (such as BioHPP), and CAD/CAM composite resins are being developed. These materials have significantly better aesthetics and physical-mechanical properties. They are biocompatible materials that are lightweight, resistant, durable, exhibit high bending and compression resistance. CONCLUSIONS The use of CAD/CAM composite resin materials and BioHPP in dentistry has begun recently, so the data about their potential clinical use are limited. Most of their features have been demonstrated through laboratory testing, while clinical studies are relatively scarce, so the need for further clinical trials is emphasized.

Abstract
The aim of the study was to evaluate the stability, reactivity, and bond strength with a lithium disilicate ceramic of a self-etch silane primer (Monobond Etch and Prime/MEP). The stability was evaluated by 1H-,31P-NMR spectroscopy (before/after aging), and the reactivity by micro MIR-FTIR spectroscopy on Ge surfaces (0, 1, 24 h) using a prehydrolyzed silane primer (Calibra Silane Coupling Agent/CLB), as a control. The effect of MEP vs. 5% HF-etching on ceramic roughness was assessed by optical profilometry. The shear bond strength (SBS) of a resin composite bonded to polished ceramic surfaces treated with MEP, HF without silane (HF+NS), HF+CLB, and HF+MEP (n = 20) was evaluated after storage in water (A: 37 °C/1 week, B: 5000×/5–55 °C and C: 100 °C/24 h). Aging did not affect the silanol groups of MEP, but only the phosphate co-monomer. Silanols were reactive forming siloxanes, but exhibited lower consumption rate than CLB. HF-etching induced significantly higher values than MEP, in all the roughness parameters tested (Sa, Sz, Sdr, Sc, Sv), with the greatest differences found in Sdr and Sv. For SBS, MEP was inferior to all treatments/storage conditions, except of HF+NS in A, where the values were similar. However, on a HF-etched substrate, MEP provided highest strength and reliability.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES The aim of this in vitro study was to investigate the influence of material, preparation, and pre-treatment on the aging and fracture force of CAD/CAM resin composite molar crowns. MATERIALS AND METHODS CAD/CAM molar crowns (n = 80) were milled from four resin composites (Block HC, Shofu; Lava Ultimate, 3 M; Grandio Blocs, Voco; and Tetric CAD, Ivoclar Vivadent, with/without sandblasting). Extracted human teeth were prepared with optimal preparation (height 6-8 mm, angle 6-8°) or worst-case preparation (height 3.5-4 mm, angle 10-15°). Both groups were prepared with a 1-mm deep cervical circular shoulder. Crowns were adhesively bonded after corresponding tooth treatment required for the individual adhesive systems (Table 1). Specimens were aged for 90 days in water storage (37 °C) and subsequently subjected to thermal cycling and mechanical loading (TCML 3000 × 5 °C/3000 × 55 °C, 2 min each cycle, H20 distilled; 1.2 × 106 cycles à 50 N, 1.6 Hz). De-bonding and fracture force was determined. STATISTICS one-way-ANOVA; post hoc Bonferroni, α = 0.05. RESULTS Four crowns of Lava Ultimate with worst-case preparation de-bonded during TCML. Individual crowns without sandblasting treatment (3x Tetric CAD with optimal preparation; 1x Tetric CAD with worst-case preparation) de-bonded during water storage. One crown of Grandio Blocs with optimal preparation showed a small chipping during TCML. All other crowns survived TCML and water storage without failure. Fracture forces differed between 1272 ± 211 N (Lava Ultimate) and 3061 ± 521 N (Tetric CAD). All Grandio Blocs and Tetric CAD crowns revealed significantly (p ≤ 0.023) higher fracture forces than Block HC or Lava Ultimate crowns. No significantly different (p > 0.05) fracture forces were found between optimal or worst-case preparation/fit groups. CONCLUSIONS De-bonding during water storage and TCML was dependent on material and crown pre-treatment. Therefore, surface roughening seems strongly required. Fracture forces were not influenced by preparation but by the type of material. CLINICAL RELEVANCE Clinical success and de-bonding of CAD/CAM resin composite crowns is strongly influenced by the type of material and its pre-treatment.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the silane status in commercially available products and their bonding capacity with polished glass-ceramic surfaces before and after hydrofluoric (HF) acid-etching. METHODS The products tested were Calibra Silane Coupling Agent/CS, G-Multi Primer/GM, Kerr Silane Primer/KS, Monobond Plus/MB and Scotchbond Universal Adhesive/SB. The silane status was studied by 13C nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (13C-NMR). The roughness parameters of polished (group A) and HF acid-etched (group B) lithium disilicate glass-ceramic surfaces were measured by optical profilometry (n = 5/group). The interaction of the products with group A and B ceramic surfaces was examined by attenuated total reflection Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR). The shear strength (SBS) of a flowable composite bonded to the ceramic surfaces (groups A, B) was assessed before (NS) and after silane treatment (n = 20/group, product). RESULTS The NMR analysis showed the presence of silanol monomers only in CS. Methoxylated-siloxane adducts were found in GM, silanol-siloxane adducts in MB, SB, and siloxane polymers in KS. Acid-etching greatly increased Sa, Sz, Sdr, Sc and Sv parameters (p < 0.001) and ATR-FTIR analysis demonstrated evidence of bonding with the substrate in CS. Weibull analysis of SBS revealed the following rankings in characteristic life (p < 0.05): CS > SB,KS,MB > GM > NS (group A) and CS > GM > SB,KS,MB,NS (group B). The most reliable treatment in both groups was CS. For the same silane treatment, the SBS of group B were significantly higher from group A. Failures were mainly of adhesive type, except of several partial resin cohesive failures found in group B. SIGNIFICANCE The chemical bonding capacity of the silanes was highest in products with silanol monomers. Acid-etching increased bond strength to a level that neutralized the silane contribution in products with silanol-siloxane adducts and siloxane polymers, providing thus bond strength values similar to silane-free treatments.

Abstract
The aim of the study was to evaluate the performance of six commercially available universal dental adhesives: Adhese Universal (ADU), All-Bond Universal (ABU), Clearfil Universal Bond Quick (CBQ), G-Premio Bond (GPB), Prelude One (PRO) and Scotchbond Universal (SBU). The properties tested were: (a) degree of C=C conversion (DC%); (b) Vickers micro-hardness (VHN); (c) extent of oxygen inhibition (OI/μm), all related with the adhesive film properties; (d) extent of dentin demineralisation (DM%), insoluble salt formation (AS%); and (e) shear bond strength (SBS, self-etch mode) related to the adhesive-dentin interactions. Statistical analysis (α = 0.05) was performed by one-way ANOVA and Tukey's test (DC%, VHN, OI, DM% AS%) and Weibull analysis (SBS, σ0-β). The DC ranged from 67.2-82.5% (all >GPB), OI from 5.6-18.6 μm (SBU > ADU, GPB, ABU > CBQ > PRO), microhardness from 1.1-6.6 VHN (SBU > ADU > ABU > CBQ > PRO > GPB: not measurable), DM from 69.3% (GPB) to 16-12.5% (CBQ, SBU, ADU) and 13.2-10.6% (ABU, ADU, PRO), in homogeneous groups and AS from 26-15.9% (ABU, CBQ > GPB, PRO, ADU, SBU). For SBS the σ0 (characteristic life) ranged from 29.3-16.6 MPa (CBQ, ADU, ABU, SBU > PRO > GPB), the β (reliability) from 5.1-9.7 (p > 0.05). All failure modes were of mixed type (adhesive and composite cohesive). Although all these adhesives were based on the 10-methacryloyloxydecyl dihydrogen phosphate (10-MDP) adhesive monomer, the different co-monomers, solvents and catalysts led to variations in their film properties, reactivity and bonding capacity with dentin.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Comparing strengths under different loading conditions provides useful information on the mechanical behaviour of restorative materials under multiaxial masticatory loading in the oral cavity. The aims of this study was to investigate the flexural strengths and the reliability of resin-composite blocks for CAD/CAM by uniaxial and biaxial flexure tests and to compare the elastic properties measured by different methods including digital image correlation (DIC). METHODS Four resin-composite blocks for CAD/CAM, namely, VE (Vita Enamic), LU (Lava Ultimate), MD (Mazic Duro), and CS (Cerasmart), were investigated. Beam specimens (4.0×1.4×18.0mm3) and disks (12-14mmϕ×1.5mm) were prepared to determine the uniaxial (three-point bending) and biaxial (ball-on-ring, BOR) flexural strengths and flexural moduli. A compression test (8×4×18mm3) with DIC analysis was utilized to measure the elastic modulus and Poisson's ratio. Data were analysed by a 2-parameter Weibull function and ANOVA with Scheffe's test. RESULTS The mean uniaxial and biaxial strengths and Weibull moduli of the specimen groups were as follows: uniaxial VE (140.1±7.0, 24.1), LU (159.1±6.3, 31.5), MD (144.9±13.3, 13.6), and CS (165.4±16.9, 11.2) and biaxial VE (153.6±10.4, 19.0), LU (231.0±29.3, 9.7), MD (148.9±23.8, 7.4), and CS (249.7±22.4, 13.8). Although the ranking of both sets of strength data remained unchanged, the strength reliability was significantly affected by the loading; the Weibull moduli of the specimens decreased when they were subjected to biaxial tests (except for that of CS). The elastic modulus values of the materials varied significantly under the different test loadings, although they were in the same order regardless of the test method: VE>>LU≈MD>CS. The DIC technique yielded elastic moduli that were in good agreement with those measured by the uniaxial flexure test. SIGNIFICANCE The flexural strength, reliability, and elastic modulus of resin-composite block materials differed with the uniaxial and biaxial flexural loading and the test method. The different behaviours under both loadings should be considered in the evaluation of the mechanical performance of those materials.

Abstract
Background Life cycle prediction measures, that provide information on the probability of failure of equipments, have been applied in electronic and mechanical engineering and for predicting the strength of dental implants. However, the same has not been utilized as yet in medical equipment such as hematology analyzers. Methods Failure data of five automated hematology analyzers (3-part differential) was collected over 14 consecutive months and a Weibull probability plot was made. The scale and shape parameters of this plot were used to predict failure probability distribution. This was then combined with various costs involved in remedial maintenance to get a cost analysis. Results The analyzers in their "useful life" period were found to suffer fewer actual and predicted failures compared to those in the "wear out" phase. Cost analysis showed a considerably higher per month cost of remedial maintenance of analyzers compared to the price of a comprehensive maintenance contract. Conclusions Our study demonstrates, for the first time, that Weibull distribution can be applied well to hematology analyzers for modeling of failure data and the resultant information is helpful in the cost analysis of maintenance to allow for prudent and informed decision making with regards to the mode of maintenance of analyzers.
