Abstract
BACKGROUND In recent years, eHealth has received much attention as an opportunity to increase efficiency within healthcare organizations. Adoption of eHealth might consequently help to solve perceived health workforce challenges, including labor shortages and increasing workloads among primary care professionals, who serve as the first point of contact for healthcare in many countries. The purpose of this systematic review was to investigate the impact of general eHealth use and specific eHealth services use on general practice workload in the pre-COVID-19 era. METHODS The databases of CINAHL, Cochrane, Embase, IEEE Xplore, Medline ALL, PsycINFO, Web of Science, and Google Scholar were searched, using combinations of keywords including 'eHealth', 'workload', and 'general practice'. Data extraction and quality assessment of the included studies were independently performed by at least two reviewers. Publications were included for the period 2010 - 2020, before the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. RESULTS In total, 208 studies describing the impact of eHealth services use on general practice workload were identified. We found that two eHealth services were mainly investigated within this context, namely electronic health records and digital communication services, and that the largest share of the included studies used a qualitative study design. Overall, a small majority of the studies found that eHealth led to an increase in general practice workload. However, results differed between the various types of eHealth services, as a large share of the studies also reported a reduction or no change in workload. CONCLUSIONS The impact of eHealth services use on general practice workload is ambiguous. While a small majority of the effects indicated that eHealth increased workload in general practice, a large share of the effects also showed that eHealth use reduced workload or had no impact. These results do not imply a definitive conclusion, which underscores the need for further explanatory research. Various factors, including the study setting, system design, and the phase of implementation, may influence this impact and should be taken into account when general practices adopt new eHealth services. Abstract
Background A staff e-learning course was developed to prepare for scaling up a national take-home naloxone (THN) program in Norway. The aims of the study were to (a) describe participant characteristics for those that completed a THN e-learning course, (b) compare opioid overdose knowledge scores before and after e-learning course completion, and (c) to explore subsequent THN distribution by those trained. Methods This was a quasi-experimental pre-test, post-test longitudinal cohort study of individuals completing a THN e-learning course from April 2021 to May 2022. Frequency analyses were performed for participant characteristics and subsequent naloxone distributions at 1-week and 1-month follow-up. The opioid overdose knowledge scale (OOKS) was used to measure pre-test-post-test knowledge among participants. Wilcoxon signed-rank test was performed for comparison between pre-test and post-test. Effect size was calculated using Cohen criteria. Results In total, 371 individuals were included in this study. Most were either nurses or social workers (n = 277, 75%). Participant knowledge increased by medium or large effect for all items measured. At 1-month follow-up, 15% reported naloxone distribution. During the study period, 94 naloxone kits were distributed. Major reasons for not distributing were "clients not interested", "workplace not distributing" and "workplace in process of distributing". Conclusions Our findings suggest that an e-learning course is equally effective in terms of knowledge transfer as an in-person classroom setting, and may provide engagement in terms of naloxone distribution. However, our findings also emphasize the importance of clear implementation routines, including support from central coordinators to optimize the implementation process.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Limited research has examined how technology and digital literacy may affect patients' use of video visits. This study explored the relationship of demographic factors and patient-reported confidence in digital literacy skills to access to video visits among patients who never used them during the COVID-19 pandemic. METHODS Using existing survey data, the current study examined data from respondents who did not engage in video appointments but instead attended face-to-face appointments between April and December 2020 for nonemergent health concerns. A multivariable logistic regression model was used to investigate whether demographic and social determinants of health factors, context of care (primary care or psychiatry/psychology), and digital literacy confidence were associated with video visit engagement. Collinearity was assessed using the variance inflation factor. RESULTS This study found that living in rural areas and having a self-reported lack of confidence in logging video appointments using the Mayo Clinic patient portal were associated with persistent nonuse of video appointments in a cohort of patients who did not use video visits at this institution during the early part of the COVID-19 pandemic. DISCUSSION The research findings reported herein reveal that individuals living in rural areas and those who lack confidence in logging into patient portals to access video visits tend to persistently avoid using video appointments. More investment is needed at the federal and corporate levels to improve digital connectivity. Digital navigators and community involvement can promote digital adoption. CONCLUSION To encourage digital competency in rural communities, it is important to implement support strategies through community stakeholders and other resources.

Abstract
Surgery is a significant part of healthcare, but its demand is increasing, leading to challenges in managing patient care. Inefficient perioperative practices and traditional linear models contribute to adverse outcomes and patient anxiety. E-health interventions show promise in improving surgical care, but more research is needed. The purpose of this study was to involve patients and healthcare workers during the design phase of an e-health intervention that aims to support the perioperative care of elective surgery preparation and recovery. This study used an Information Systems Research Framework to guide collaborative codesign through semistructured interviews and cocreation workshops. Semistructured interviews collected insights on the perioperative journey and e-health needs from healthcare workers and consumers, resulting in the creation of a patient surgery journey map, experience map, and a stakeholder needs table. Collaborative work between consumers and healthcare workers in the cocreation workshops identified priority perioperative journey issues and proposed solutions, as well as prioritizing application software needs, guiding the development of the wireframe. The development of an e-health application aimed at supporting surgery preparation and recovery is a significant step toward improving patient engagement, satisfaction, and postsurgical health outcomes.

Abstract
Emotional disorders (EDs) are highly prevalent during the reproductive period, including pregnancy, postpartum, and women undergoing fertility treatments. International guidelines are increasingly suggesting the need to evaluate, prevent, and treat EDs in those women. The main aim of this narrative review is to summarize current practice in the field of EDs management during fertility treatments, pregnancy, and the postpartum and to propose a new technology-based model of care that helps to provide psychological care to all women who are in these periods. Four different databases (Pubmed, Scopus, Science Direct, Web of Science) were consulted. Selected keywords were related with infertility, pregnancy, postpartum, EDs, assessment, prevention, treatment, and technologies. We identified 1603 studies and 43 were included in this review. According to these studies, different face-to-face protocols already exist to manage EDs in women undergoing fertility treatments, pregnant or at the postpartum. We noticed an increased interest in developing technology-based solutions to overcome the limitations of traditional mental healthcare services. However, we also detected some issues in the use of technologies (i.e. increased attention to the postpartum or the lack of transdiagnostic approaches). Our results evidenced that there is still a need to develop modern, well-designed, and conceptually-relevant ICT-based programs to be used in women undergoing fertility treatments, pregnant or at the postpartum.

Abstract
PURPOSE The growing implementation of electronic health (e-health) systems has raised the importance of analyzing how these systems have been implemented in diverse regions. By employing a contextual sensitive approach and social mechanism theory, this study aims to better understand the reasons for the success and failure of e-health initiatives in the ex-Yugoslav region and derive useful insights for policymakers. DESIGN/METHODOLOGY/APPROACH We employ a narrative review process grounded in the social mechanism theory, extended with field experts' review, to acquire state-of-the-art information. FINDINGS Findings indicate that different e-health systems coexist and evolve in different contexts in different countries, with varying levels of success. The contextual differences shape the broader environment, affecting the level of preparedness and capability for e-health implementation. Top-down approaches dominate e-health implementation in most countries when it comes to design process features, and more developed countries do not rely on strong social mechanisms for implementing e-health due to the openness of their culture towards e-health innovations. PRACTICAL IMPLICATIONS Analyzing the milestones, challenges and functionalities of e-health systems in the region of interest can assist policymakers, academics and practitioners in making informed decisions and recommendations to enhance future e-health implementation. ORIGINALITY/VALUE No known studies evaluated e-health initiatives in the former ex-Yugoslav countries holistically and evolutionarily in the form of a comprehensive regional study. Further, our research endeavor is contextually specific since the health systems of these countries in the past were tied together under the federative umbrella health system and then diverged in terms of e-health development.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES to describe Nurses' perception of the Nursing Process and its relationship with leadership. METHODS action research conducted between September/2021 and April/2022 with nurses from a medium-sized hospital in southern Brazil. The data investigated, one of the stages of the method, was collected using the Focus Group technique and submitted to Strategic Focus Analysis. RESULTS three categories emerged from the organized and analyzed data, namely: Nursing Process: a tool that qualifies nursing care; Conditions that weaken the Nursing Process; and Strategies that enhance the Systematization of Nursing Care. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS the perception of the Nursing Process and its relationship with leadership are not always understood as complementary themes. Although they recognize that the Nursing Process is sometimes imposed as normative, nurses do not perceive the importance of the role of the leader, who is considered a key player in conducting and boosting the Systematization of Nursing Care.

Abstract
The main objective of this protocol is to understand the effectiveness of the use of a mobile application (OcupApp) to generate a personal self-analysis about meaningful activities in a population of adults aged between 50 and 70 years with low or moderate depression/anxiety. A randomised study will be carried out comparing the effects of the use of the OcupApp application with a control intervention on health-related quality of life, mental health, frequency of participation on meaningful activities, and perceived occupational balance. This is the first study to use occupational self-analysis in m-health to improve occupational balance, mental health, frequency of participation in meaningful activities and health-related quality of life. The app was co-created with a population whose characteristics are similar to those of the target users, and it was tested in both the intervention itself and the presentation, thus it is expected to be effective. Abstract
Background and Aim The COVID-19 pandemic has transformed the way healthcare is delivered by the increased utilisation of eHealth tools to deliver remote patient consultations. These eHealth tools served various functions during COVID-19 including monitoring and surveillance of patients. Therefore, assessment of digital health interventions for monitoring medication adherence is crucial to maximise the potential benefits of eHealth. The aim of this study is to understand the perspectives of experts in medication adherence around eHealth interventions used to aid adherence during COVID-19. Methods The study was exploratory and utilized a mixed-method approach. Data was gathered from a survey distributed by the International society for Medication Adherence, and from arranging subsequent structured interviews. Purposive sampling was used to collect data from individuals who were rich in knowledge about the field of medication adherence. Template analysis was used to analyse the collected data. Results Twenty-one participants responded to the survey and 6 completed the interviews. Results showed that eHealth tools reduced barriers to medication adherence by improving health literacy of patients. The main strengths of eHealth technology used in COVID-19 highlighted by participants were convenience and user empowerment. Moreover, weaknesses and barriers included lack of cooperation between technology providers, lack of awareness of doctors about eHealth and patient's digital health literacy. Conclusion and Future Directions The increased utility of eHealth tools during COVID-19 highlighted their vital role in aiding medication adherence of patients. These technologies have both decreased and increased barriers to medication adherence through numerous ways. Future directions should focus on gaining the perspectives of patients on the use of eHealth interventions and its role in aiding medication adherence.

Introduction Given boys' low health knowledge and their unhealthy behavior during puberty, which can cause many physical, mental, and psychological problems, it is important to prevent these complications. This study was therefore aimed to determine the efficacy of a mobile health educational intervention based on the Health Beliefs Model (HBM) on Iranian adolescent boys. Materials and methods This randomized controlled trial involved junior high school boys (n = 148) in Iran studying during the 2020-2021 school year. Educational content concerning healthy behaviors during puberty (e.g., the importance of bathing) was developed based on HBM and sent to the intervention group via mobile phone. HBM addresses multiple factors (e.g., perceived disease risk) that explain health behaviors. The intervention was delivered in five sessions over four weeks using real-time Internet communication and texting. The control group did not receive any intervention. One school was randomly selected from each of the four districts of the study site. The schools were then randomized into intervention and control groups. The boys were then randomly selected from each school to participate in the study. Data collected at baseline and 2-month follow-up assessments included demographic information, health knowledge (e.g., physical changes during puberty), health behaviors (e.g., bathing), and HBM constructs (e.g., self-efficacy to perform healthy behaviors). Data analysis was done using the chi-square, independent and paired t-tests, and analysis of covariance (ANCOVA). Results The two groups did not differ in terms of demographic characteristics. Before the intervention, the two groups were slightly different in terms of knowledge, health behavior, and HBM constructs. Following the intervention, the scores of the intervention group improved significantly (p < 0.05). After adjusting for pre-intervention knowledge, HBM, and health behavior scores, the intervention group remained superior to the control group in terms of improvement of knowledge, HBM constructs, and healthy behaviors (p < 0.05). Effect sizes ranged from medium to large (0.25-0.86). Conclusion Mobile phone education based on the HBM is efficacious in encouraging healthy behavior in boys during puberty. Organizations interested in encouraging healthy behaviors in boys should consider the use of such a program.

Abstract
Background People are increasingly turning to the internet to find answers to their health concerns in an era where there is a wealth of online health information, which frequently causes increased health anxiety and the phenomenon known as cyberchondria. The objectives of this study were to examine the moderating role of health literacy and health promotion behavior and the mediating role of emotional regulation between health anxiety and cyberchondria among the Pakistani population. Methods The study used a self-administered questionnaire to collect and examine health anxiety, emotional regulation, health literacy, health promotion behavior, and cyberchondria in 755 residents. A moderated mediation model of Hayes PROCESS was used to examine this hypothesis. Results The findings unveiled the average score of the participants on the study variables, as well as their categorization into low, moderate, and high categories. On scale of Health Anxiety participant scores (32% vs 53% vs 15%), Emotional Regulation (25% vs 46% vs 29%), Cyberchondria (18% vs 41% vs 41%), Health Literacy (56% vs 29% vs 15%), and Health promotion Behavior (49% vs 28% vs 23%). Moreover, result revealed that emotional regulation mediates the significant positive association between health anxiety and cyberchondria (β=0.25**p<0.001). Furthermore, health literacy moderates the negative association health anxiety and emotional regulation (β=-0.42*p<0.031), and health promotion behavior also negatively moderate the relationship between emotional regulation and cyberchondria (β=-0.27*p<0.22). Conclusion Based on the findings, it is recommended that health policymakers consider comprehensive national initiatives that focus on educational planning. These initiatives should boost health literacy levels and promote health-related behavior. Additionally, there is urgent need for strict measures to be put in place for monitoring online platforms and websites that spread inaccurate or false health-related information.

Abstract
Objective The main objective of this study is to develop an eHealth adoption model based on patients' perceptions of public value dimensions and empirically apply the model to understand the adoption of a governmental health app by Jordanian patients. The study attempts to contribute to overcoming the narrow focus of contemporary theories such as UTAUT and, ultimately, to designing more effective implementation strategies in order to address the current delays in global eHealth adoption. Methods We conducted a quantitative survey of 430 Jordanian patients, utilizing structural equation modeling (SEM) to process the empirical data. Specifically, we applied an SEM two-step approach that involved (a) evaluating the model-data fit through a review of the measurement model(s) and common method bias; and (b) analyzing the structural model. Results Our findings confirm that the proposed patients' value scale is valid and reliable. Its five dimensions (hedonistic motivation, utilitarian motivation, social value, ethical public value, and public trust value) significantly correlate with patients' public value, and the latter directly affects their use of eHealth apps, with habits mediating this relationship. Among the dimensions, hedonistic motivations tend to be prioritized over utilitarian ones. Ethical and trust values also play an essential role, particularly in how health technology handles patients' data and upholds their dignity and self-esteem. Conclusions This study highlights the holistic nature of eHealth adoption by patients and the crucial role of public values in their use behavior. It provides useful insights for policymakers and developers.

Abstract
Digitalization of healthcare systems is a great opportunity to address inequalities in access to healthcare in the European Union. There is an urgent need to build on what we learned from the COVID-19 pandemic, where digital health technologies were integrated swiftly to limit challenges in healthcare delivery. We created a database for the 27 European Union countries from the European Health Interview Survey (EHIS), the Digital Economy and Society Index (DESI), and other Eurostat databases. We performed k-means cluster analysis to group EU countries along two dimensions: inequalities in access to medical services and level of digitalization. We identified five distinct clusters: two clusters with high, two clusters with moderate, and one cluster with low unmet need for healthcare. Regarding digitalization, only one cluster comprising the Nordic countries, Spain and Cyprus exhibit high digital readiness. A cluster comprising the most developed countries in Western Europe represents moderate levels of both unmet need for healthcare and digitalization. For most EU countries, there is still a need to build digital infrastructure for the healthcare industry, which in the long term may increase the number of digital solutions used by both patients and healthcare professionals. Policy makers across the EU need to consider investing in initiatives that would support digital health solutions as an effective means of healthcare provision and healthcare management.

Abstract
Improving cognitive sequelae in children treated for brain tumours (CTBT) requires accessible interventions. While instructor-led exercise in a hospital setting is efficacious, it is not extended to communities. Objectives We aimed to (i) develop a website with educational resources/tools for community health and fitness professionals (HFP) to deliver exercise for CTBT in community settings to improve cognition and (ii) assess its usability by community HFP. It was hypothesized that the website would be learnable, clear, satisfactory and efficient to deliver exercise. Methods A scoping review determined the state of eHealth resources to support exercise for CTBT and identified knowledge and resource gaps. Three focus groups with HFP who served cancer survivors in hospital or community settings (n = 13) identified user needs; content analysis identified themes. Gaps from the scoping review and themes from focus groups informed website content. A questionnaire assessed its usability by community HFP (n = 4). Descriptive statistics inferred the website's learnability, clarity, satisfaction and efficiency. Open-ended responses identified issues. Results The scoping review revealed a lack of eHealth resources supporting exercise to improve cognition in CTBT and education for HFP to deliver exercise. Six themes were identified in the focus groups. HFP rated the website as sufficiently learnable, clear, satisfactory and efficient. Two minor issues were reported and addressed. Conclusion The website marks one of the first eHealth resources to increase accessibility of intervention to improve cognitive sequelae and ultimately quality of life in CTBT. HFP also gain access to education and tools to deliver exercise in community settings.

Abstract
Background It has been estimated that more than one-third of university students suffer from insomnia. Few accessible eHealth sleep education programmes exist for university students and of the ones that do exist, fewer were developed using a user-centred approach, which allows for student input to be systematically collected and utilized to provide students with a programme that they consider to be easy to use and implement and to be effective. Better Nights, Better Days-Youth (BNBD-Youth) is a four-session eHealth sleep education programme designed for youth but previously only evaluated in younger adolescents (ages 14-18 years). Aims The purpose of this study is to evaluate the usability of the BNBD-Youth programme with university students using Morville's User Experience Honeycomb framework to determine if this programme would meet the needs of university students and if so what modifications would be needed. Methods Canadian undergraduate students (n = 46) completed the BNBD-Youth programme. Students completed online usability questionnaires based on the seven dimensions of Morville's User Experience Honeycomb (i.e. useful, usable, valuable, credible, desirable, accessible and findable) after each session and after completion of the programme. Open- and closed-ended questions were used to obtain both quantitative and qualitative responses. Results Average quantitative ratings were positive across user experience dimensions, ranging from 3.43 to 4.46 (out of 5). Qualitative responses indicated overall positive experiences with the programme. The only constructive feedback that met the criteria for revising the programme was to include more interactive features in Session 4. Conclusions This study demonstrates that university students found BNBD-Youth to be a usable programme for older youth. Demonstrating usability is an essential step in developing a programme with a user-centred design that university students will want to use in the future. Once the BNBD-Youth programme is revised to create the BNBD-University (BNBD-Uni) programme, additional usability and effectiveness testing will be conducted.

Abstract
eHealth use enables older adults to access and manage healthcare resources, and benefits their health; however, older adults' uptake of eHealth remains low across societies. Social influences such as descriptive norms may be of critical importance in promoting the elderly's usage of eHealth. Based on the Integrative Model of Behavioral Prediction, this study investigates how descriptive norms relate to eHealth use among the elderly in China and the United States. Analysis of the combined sample (N = 1,070) showed that descriptive norms were positively related to eHealth use. Also, descriptive norms were indirectly associated with eHealth use via injunctive norms, attitudes and self-efficacy. Moderated mediation analysis indicated that these direct and indirect relationships differed across the two countries. This study highlights the important role of descriptive norms in promoting older adults' eHealth use behavior and addresses potential country differences in how the elderly respond to descriptive norms. Several important theoretical and practical implications are also discussed.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Many children today are growing up in environments that predispose them to develop noncommunicable diseases. While no single preventive solution exists, evidence supports interventions in childcare settings for establishing good nutrition and physical activity behaviors as a "critical window" that could reduce the risk of developing noncommunicable diseases later in life. Emerging eHealth tools have shown potential in promoting best practices for nutrition and physical activity environments in early childhood education and care (ECEC) settings. OBJECTIVE The primary objective of this review is to map the breadth of available evidence on eHealth tools currently available to assess and support best practices for nutrition, physical activity, or both in ECEC settings and to highlight potential research directions. METHODS This scoping review will be conducted in accordance with the Joanna Briggs Institute Manual for Scoping Reviews with adherence to the PRISMA-ScR (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses Extension for Scoping Reviews) checklist guidelines. Eligibility is based on the Population, Concept, and Context criteria as follows: (1) early childhood educators (population); (2) eHealth (digital) technology, such as websites, smartphone apps, email, and social media (concept); and (3) measurement and intervention tools to support best practices for nutrition, physical activity, or both in ECEC settings (context). The information sources for this review are the bibliographic databases PubMed, Scopus, CINAHL Plus, ERIC, and Embase in English and French with no date restrictions. Following this, a scan of gray literature will be undertaken. The electronic search strategy was developed in collaboration with two librarians. Two independent reviewers will screen the titles and abstracts of all relevant publications against inclusion criteria, followed by a full-text review using a data extraction tool developed by the reviewers. A synthesis of included papers will describe the publication, assessment, and intervention tool details. A summary of the findings will describe the types of eHealth assessment tools available, psychometric properties, eHealth intervention components, and theoretical frameworks used for development. RESULTS Preliminary searches of bibliographic databases to test and calibrate the search were carried out in May 2023. Study selection based on titles and abstracts was started in August 2023. The developed search strategy will guide our search for gray literature. The findings will be presented in visualized data map format, waffle chart, or tabular format accompanied by a narrative discussion. The scoping review is planned for completion in 2024. CONCLUSIONS A structured review of the literature will provide a summary of the range and type of eHealth tools available for ECEC programs to assess and improve nutrition environments, physical activity environments, or both in order to identify gaps in the current evidence base and provide insights to guide future intervention research. Cerebral palsy (CP) is a complex neurological condition characterized by motor dysfunction affecting millions worldwide. This comprehensive review delves into the critical role of assessment in managing CP. Beginning with exploring its definition and background, we elucidate the diverse objectives of CP assessment, ranging from diagnosis and goal setting to research and epidemiology. We examine standard assessment scales and tools, discuss the challenges inherent in CP assessment, and highlight emerging trends, including integrating technology, personalized medicine, and neuroimaging. The applications of CP assessment in clinical diagnosis, treatment planning, research, and education are underscored. Recommendations for the future encompass standardization, interdisciplinary collaboration, research priorities, and professional training. In conclusion, we emphasize the importance of assessment as a compass guiding the care of individuals with CP, issuing a call to action for improved assessment practices to shape a brighter future for those affected by this condition.

Abstract
Pediatric palliative home care (PPHC) provides care for children, adolescents, and young adults with life-limiting illnesses in their own homes. Home care often requires long travel times for the PPHC team, which is available to the families 24/7 during crises. The complementary use of telehealth may improve the quality of care. In this pilot study we identify the needs and concerns of patients, teams, and other stakeholders regarding the introduction of telehealth. As a first step, focus groups were conducted in three teams. For the second step, semi-structured interviews were conducted with patients and their families (n = 15). Both steps were accompanied by quantitative surveys (mixed methods approach). The qualitative data were analyzed using content analysis. A total of 11 needs were identified, which were prioritized differently. Highest priority was given to: data transmission, video consultation, access to patient records, symptom questionnaires, and communication support. The concerns identified were related to the assumption of deterioration of the status quo. Potential causes of deterioration were thought to be the negative impact on patient care, inappropriate user behavior, or a high level of technical requirements. As a conclusion, we define six recommendations for telehealth in PPHC.

Abstract
Mobile-health (m-health) is described as the application of medical sensors and mobile computing to the healthcare provision. While 5G networks can support a variety of m-health services, applications such as telesurgery, holographic communications, and augmented/virtual reality are already emphasizing their limitations. These limitations apply to both the Quality of Service (QoS) and the Quality of Experience (QoE). However, 6G mobile networks are predicted to proliferate over the next decade in order to solve these limitations, enabling high QoS and QoE. Currently, academia and industry are concentrating their efforts on the 6G network, which is expected to be the next major game-changer in the telecom industry and will significantly impact all other related verticals. The exponential growth of m-health multimedia traffic (e.g., audio, video, and images) creates additional challenges for service providers in delivering a suitable QoE to their customers. As QoS is insufficient to represent the expectations of m-health end-users, the QoE of the services is critical. In recent years, QoE has attracted considerable attention and has established itself as a critical component of network service and operation evaluation. This article aims to provide the first thorough survey on a promising research subject that exists at the intersection of two well-established domains, i.e., QoE and m-health, and is driven by the continuing efforts to define 6G. This survey, in particular, creates a link between these two seemingly distinct domains by identifying and discussing the role of 6G in m-health applications from a QoE viewpoint. We start by exploring the vital role of QoE in m-health multimedia transmission. Moreover, we examine how m-health and QoE have evolved over the cellular network's generations and then shed light on several critical 6G technologies that are projected to enable future m-health services and improve QoE, including reconfigurable intelligent surfaces, extended radio communications, terahertz communications, enormous ultra-reliable and low-latency communications, and blockchain. In contrast to earlier survey papers on the subject, we present an in-depth assessment of the functions of 6G in a variety of anticipated m-health applications via QoE. Multiple 6G-enabled m-health multimedia applications are reviewed, and various use cases are illustrated to demonstrate how 6G-enabled m-health applications are transforming human life. Finally, we discuss some of the intriguing research challenges associated with burgeoning multimedia m-health applications.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE This cross-sectional study aimed to investigate the association between electronic health (eHealth) literacy and oral health outcomes, including the number of teeth and brushing frequency. METHODS A total of 478 participants were included in the study and assessed for their eHealth literacy levels. Demographic variables, including age, gender, income, and education, were collected. The participants' number of teeth and brushing frequency were also recorded. Multiple regression analyses were performed to examine the relationship between eHealth literacy and oral health outcomes, adjusting for sociodemographic variables. RESULTS The study sample consisted of both males (66.5%) and females (33.5%), with a mean age of 31.95 years. Among the participants, 16.95% were classified as having inadequate eHealth literacy, 24.06% had problematic eHealth literacy, and the majority (59.00%) demonstrated sufficient eHealth literacy. There was a significant association between eHealth literacy and oral health outcomes. Individuals with problematic eHealth literacy had a higher likelihood of having a greater number of teeth (RR = 1.12, 95% CI: 1.05-1.20, p < 0.001) compared to those with inadequate eHealth literacy. Similarly, individuals with sufficient eHealth literacy showed a higher likelihood of having more teeth (RR = 1.14, 95% CI: 1.07-1.21, p < 0.001) compared to the inadequate eHealth literacy group controlling for age, gender, income, and education. Individuals with problematic eHealth literacy exhibited a tendency towards lower odds of irregular brushing (OR = 0.39, 95% CI: 0.15-1.02, p = 0.054), although this result was marginally significant. In contrast, individuals with sufficient eHealth literacy had significantly lower odds of irregular brushing frequency (OR = 0.24, 95% CI: 0.10-0.62, p = 0.003) compared to the inadequate eHealth literacy group. CONCLUSION The findings suggest a positive association between eHealth literacy and oral health outcomes. Improving eHealth literacy may have implications for promoting better oral health behaviors and outcomes.

Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic has greatly affected lithiasis patients, which has led to an increase in the number of internal stents that have been installed. In this paper, two studies were carried out, a clinical study and a quantitative study. The aim of the first study was to evaluate the incidence and the prevalence of bacterial urinary colonization in patients with obstructive urolithiasis who needed internal stents implanted. In the second study, a multiple linear regression was created to identify the opinion of urologists regarding the importance of using digital technologies to improve the communication process. The result of the clinical study illustrates that the prevalence of urinary colonization in patients with internal stents carried out for obstructive urolithiasis was 35%, with this value being influenced by co-infection with COVID-19. The results of the quantitative study illustrated the fact that urologists are open to using new online technologies to facilitate communication with patients. The results have high importance for both doctors and patients, illustrating the main factors that have the ability to influence the communication process. The hospital managers should take into account the results obtained in this study when they choose to use certain online communication technologies with patients.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Non-pharmacological approaches have shown promising results in improving symptoms and quality of life of patients with fibromyalgia. However, these approaches may not be easily accessible or feasible for everyone. eHealth interventions may offer a more convenient and cost-effective approach to reach a wider range of patients with fibromyalgia and improve their outcomes. As eHealth tools become more prevalent in clinical practice, it is crucial to understand their effectiveness, limitations and how they can be integrated into standard care to optimise clinical outcomes. This systematic review aims to evaluate the effectiveness of eHealth therapeutic education interventions in managing fibromyalgia. METHODS AND ANALYSIS Randomised controlled trials including eHealth therapeutic education interventions for individuals ≥18 years old with fibromyalgia, published in English or Spanish, will be retrieved by searching the databases PubMed, CINAHL Plus, EMBASE, Scopus, ISI Web of Science, PsycINFO and the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials. Covidence software will be used for the selection of studies and data extraction. The risk of bias and the certainty of evidence will be assessed using the Cochrane Risk of Bias Assessment tool. We plan to perform a meta-analysis contingent on the number of studies retrieved and the interstudy heterogeneity, which will be explored with I2 statistics. ETHICS AND DISSEMINATION This protocol and the subsequent systematic review will not collect individual-level data and do not require approval by an ethical committee. We intend to disseminate the study results via peer-reviewed scientific journals and relevant (inter)national conferences. PROSPERO REGISTRATION NUMBER CRD42022343373.

Abstract
Central nervous system diseases (CNSDs) lead to significant disability worldwide. Mobile app interventions have recently shown the potential to facilitate monitoring and medical management of patients with CNSDs. In this direction, the characteristics of the mobile apps used in research studies and their level of clinical effectiveness need to be explored in order to advance the multidisciplinary research required in the field of mobile app interventions for CNSDs. A systematic review of mobile app interventions for three major CNSDs, i.e., Parkinson's disease (PD), multiple sclerosis (MS), and stroke, which impose significant burden on people and health care systems around the globe, is presented. A literature search in the bibliographic databases of PubMed and Scopus was performed. Identified studies were assessed in terms of quality, and synthesized according to target disease, mobile app characteristics, study design and outcomes. Overall, 21 studies were included in the review. A total of 3 studies targeted PD (14%), 4 studies targeted MS (19%), and 14 studies targeted stroke (67%). Most studies presented a weak-to-moderate methodological quality. Study samples were small, with 15 studies (71%) including less than 50 participants, and only 4 studies (19%) reporting a study duration of 6 months or more. The majority of the mobile apps focused on exercise and physical rehabilitation. In total, 16 studies (76%) reported positive outcomes related to physical activity and motor function, cognition, quality of life, and education, whereas 5 studies (24%) clearly reported no difference compared to usual care. Mobile app interventions are promising to improve outcomes concerning patient's physical activity, motor ability, cognition, quality of life and education for patients with PD, MS, and Stroke. However, rigorous studies are required to demonstrate robust evidence of their clinical effectiveness.

Global Scientific Trends on Healthy Eating from 2002 to 2021: A Bibliometric and Visualized Analysis. Nutrients 2023; 15:nu15061461. Abstract
Diet has been recognized as a vital risk factor for non-communicable diseases (NCDs), climate changes, and increasing population, which has been reflected by a rapidly growing body of the literature related to healthy eating. To reveal a panorama of the topics related to healthy eating, this study aimed to characterize and visualize the knowledge structure, hotspots, and trends in this field over the past two decades through bibliometric analyses. Publications related to healthy eating between 1 January 2002 and 31 December 2021 were retrieved and extracted from the Web of Science database. The characteristics of articles including publication years, journals, authors, institutions, countries/regions, references, and keywords were assessed. The analyses on co-authorship, co-occurrence, and co-citation were performed and network visualization maps were constructed by VOSviewer. Major subdomains identified by bibliometrics were further discussed and analyzed. A total of 12,442 articles on healthy eating were identified. Over the past two decades, the annual global publications increased from 71 to 1764, showing a nearly 25-fold growth. The journal Nutrients published the most articles and The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition possessed the highest citations. The United States, Harvard University, and Hu, Frank B. were identified as the most productive and influential country, institution, and author, respectively. The co-occurrence cluster analysis of the top 100 keywords formed four clusters: (1) the food insecurity environment for youths highlighting the necessity and significance of implementing healthy eating in early life; (2) sustainable advantages of the Mediterranean diet; (3) the importance of an overall healthy lifestyle optimization leveraged by eHealth; (4) the challenges during the course of healthy eating against obesity, which are prominent in reflecting the knowledge structure, hotspots, and trends. Moreover, COVID-19, orthorexia nervosa, sustainability, microbiota, food insecurity, and e-health are identified keywords that represented the latest high-frequency keywords and indicated the emerging frontiers of healthy eating. This study indicates that the number of publications on healthy eating will increase in the future and that healthy dietary patterns and clinical applications of healthy eating will be the next hotspots in this research field.

Abstract
PurposeThis study aims to investigate the working way of the e-Pulse portal in Türkiye as a sample of a next-generation digital tool for health data management. Accordingly, this study focuses on explaining the structure and key services of the e-Pulse portal in the context of health data management.Design/methodology/approachThis study is a technical paper that will explain how the e-Pulse portal works in Türkiye. Accordingly, the data are based on secondary sources and mostly the official website of the e-Pulse portal. As a sample case, this study investigates the e-Pulse portal from Türkiye. The data are categorized by tables, and some key factors are classified based on review results.FindingsAs a result of the review of the e-Pulse portal's sample account, it is seen that the e-Pulse portal provides comprehensive data for personal health data for both individuals and healthcare professionals. By permitting healthcare professionals, users or patients can share their personal health data on specific dates and numbers whenever they need and want. When sharing recorded personal health data, citizens or patients can get more efficient healthcare service on the time.Research limitations/implicationsBy giving descriptive evidence and review through the e-Pulse portal, countries with high-populated can see the key e-services and elements to manage health data through digital tools. On the other side, this study has some limitations. This study investigated the e-Pulse portal and its e-services for Türkiye and gave some findings mostly based on subjective deduction. Another digital portal can give different findings for the literature.Practical implicationsBased on the e-Pulse portal case, it is determined that by creating a digital portal with recorded personal up-to-date health data, healthcare services can be ensured more efficiently among high-populated countries in the long term. While population growth and pandemic possibilities such as COVID-19 increase throughout the world, serving more patients with these portals will increase efficiency and service quality, provided that patient information is well protected.Originality/valueThis study reveals key e-services and segments to provide personal health data management by a next-generation digital tool based on the e-Pulse portal. The main contribution of this study is expected to guide other countries when adapting next-generation technology or systems to manage health data in the future.

Abstract
Objective The aim of this meta-analysis was to assess the impact of e-health interventions on disease management in patients with CHF. Methods Six databases including Embase, Web of Science, Scopus, PubMed, Cochrane, and EBSCO were searched by computer. The search time is before May 1, 2022. Odds ratios (OR) were used for binary categorical data and weighted mean differences (WMD) for continuous variables. The 95% confidence intervals (CI) were used to express the effect sizes for both count and measurement data. RevMan 5.4 and Stata 16.0 were employed to complete this meta-analysis. Results The study included 22 research studies and 5,149 patients. e-health intervention can effectively reduce all-cause mortality [OR = 0.801, 95%CI: (0.650, 0.987), P < 0.05], all-cause hospitalization rate [OR = 0.66, 95%CI: (0.46, 0.95), P < 0.05] and heart failure related hospitalization rate [OR = 0.750, 95%CI: (0.632, 0.891), P < 0.05]. e-health intervention is also effective in improving the quality of life [WMD = 2.97, 95%CI: (1.54, 4.40), P < 0.05] and the self-management ability of patients [WMD = -2.76, 95%CI: (-5.52, -0.11), P < 0.05]. Conclusion e-health interventions can reduce all-cause mortality, all-cause hospitalization, and heart failure-related hospitalization in patients with CHF. Furthermore, it can improve the health-related quality of life of patients.

Abstract
PURPOSE OF REVIEW Point-of-care (POC) testing for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) can provide complementary coverage to existing HIV testing services in LMICs. This review summarizes current and emerging technologies for detecting STIs in LMICs, with an emphasis on women, discharge-causing infections (chlamydia, gonorrhoea, trichomoniasis, and syphilis), true POC, self-testing, ethics, and economic considerations related to equitable access. RECENT FINDINGS The WHO have recently adapted guidelines for treatment of STIs in women that advise the use of true-POC or near-POC tests to improve case finding. The number of rapid, sensitive, and specific POC diagnostics for STIs has increased significantly over the past 10 years, although adoption of these in low-income and middle-income countries (LMICs) remains limited. Barriers to POC adoption by patients include the cost of tests, the inconvenience of lengthy clinic visits, low perceived risk, stigma, lack of partner notification, and lack of trust in healthcare providers. Lowering the cost of true POC lateral flow devices, interfacing these with digital or eHealth technologies, and enabling self-testing/self-sampling will overcome some of these barriers in LMICs. Ensuring linkage of diagnostic tests to subsequent care remains one of the major concerns about self-testing, irrespective of geography, although available evidence from HIV self-testing suggests that linkage to care is similar to that for facility-based testing. SUMMARY Increasing access to sensitive STI true POC tests will strengthen reproductive healthcare in LMICs. Although HIV self-testing is demonstrably useful in LMICs, there is an urgent need for randomized trials evaluating the utility and cost-effectiveness of similar tests for other sexually transmitted infections.

Abstract
Background The mental health and well-being of millions of people worldwide are negatively impacted by infertility. A promising solution to meet the needs of people suffering from infertility is e-health interventions, such as online counseling and support groups. This study aims to review the current literature on e-health interventions and how they impact people with infertility. Main body of the abstract Relevant studies were searched in PubMed, Web of Science, and Scopus databases. Articles were entered into the EndNote software and screened for duplicates and relevance. Two authors then reviewed full-text articles independently, with a third person resolving any disagreements. Thirteen studies conducted between 2007 and 2022 were identified. The interventions aimed to meet various needs, including training on drug use (n = 23), lifestyle modifications (n = 1), periconceptional behavior modifications (n = 1), drug management (n = 1), IVF training (n = 4), psychological support to reduce distress (n = 4), and promoting a positive sexual self-concept (n = 1). Short conclusion The limited number of e-health interventions for infertile patients, the heterogeneity of interventions, and the lack of long-term effectiveness data make it challenging to compare e-health interventions to nonelectronic alternatives. However, the increasing use of technology in healthcare, especially during and after the Covid-19 pandemic, suggests that e-health educational interventions such as those using the Internet, psychological support, and patient interaction will continue to play a crucial role in healthcare. Abstract
OBJECTIVE To explore health care professionals' (HCPs) perspectives, experiences and preferences towards digital technology use in routine palliative care delivery. METHODS HCPs (n = 19) purposively selected from a sample of settings that reflect routine palliative care delivery (i.e. specialized outpatient palliative care, inpatient palliative care, inpatient hospice care in both rural and urban areas of the German states of Brandenburg and Berlin) participated in an explorative, qualitative study using semi-structured interviews. Interview data were analyzed using structured qualitative content analysis. RESULTS Digital technologies are widely used in routine palliative care and are well accepted by HCPs. Central functions of digital technologies as experienced in palliative care are coordination of work processes, patient-centered care, and communication. Especially in outpatient care, they facilitate overcoming spatial and temporal distances. HCPs attribute various benefits to digital technologies that contribute to better coordinated, faster, more responsive, and overall more effective palliative care. Simultaneously, participants preferred technology as an enhancement not replacement of care delivery. HCPs fear that digital technologies, if overused, will contribute to dehumanization and thus significantly reduce the quality of palliative care. CONCLUSION Digital technology is already an essential part of routine palliative care delivery. While generally perceived as useful by HCPs, digital technologies are considered as having limitations and carrying risks. Hence, their use and consequences must be carefully considered, as they should discreetly complement but not replace human interaction in palliative care delivery.

Abstract
The Internet is one of the most popular information sources. This study aimed to assess the public attitudes towards the use of the Internet for health purposes as well as to identify factors associated with the use of the Internet for health purposes among adults in Poland. A web-based cross-sectional survey was carried out between 9 and 12 September 2022 on a nationwide random-quota sample of 1092 adults in Poland. The study questionnaire included 10 questions on Internet use for health purposes. The most common reason for the use of the Internet for health purposes was searching for information on drugs and their effects (69.9%). Almost two-thirds of participants used the Internet for searching for health information (64.9%), for doctors/medical services (63.4%), or for medical facilities (65.3%). Over half of the participants used the Internet for checking online reviews of doctors (55.2%) and 43.5% of the participants ordered drugs or dietary supplements online. Out of 9 different socioeconomic factors analyzed in this study, having higher education, being female, as well as living in cities from 100,000 to 499,999 residents were the most important factors (p < 0.05) associated with the use of the Internet for health purposes. This study confirmed a high level of adoption of medical Internet in Poland.

Abstract
Introduction: Low-back pain (LBP) is the leading cause of disability worldwide. Around 75-84% of the world's population will experience LBP at some point, establishing it as a major global health problem. e-Health is the remote delivery of therapeutic services, clinical information, and medical care, and may prove a very useful approach to tackle this pathology. Objectives: To evaluate the efficacy of e-health-based interventions in improving the symptoms of chronic LBP. Methods: A systematic review with meta-analysis was performed in PubMed, Web of Science, and PEDro until January 2022 through the assessment of methodological quality of systematic reviews (AMSTAR). Studies were included in which e-health interventions were used as experimental treatment compared to physical therapy to determine changes in back-specific functional status and pain in patients with chronic LBP. Two reviewers examined the sources individually, calculated the risk of bias, and extracted the data (PROSPERO number CRD42022306130). The effect size was calculated using the standardized mean difference (SMD) and its confidence interval (95% CI). Results: A total of 9 randomized controlled trials with 3,180 participants were included. The results of the findings showed an effect of e-health compared to other physical therapy on short-term (SMD = -0.59, 95% CI: -1.77 to 0.59) and intermediate short-term (SMD = -0.40, 95% CI: -0.91 to 0.11) pain intensity and back-specific functional status in the short term (SMD = -0.20, 95% CI: -0.81 to 0.41) and intermediate short term (SMD = -0.30, 95% CI: -0.74 to 0.14). The effect of e-health compared to minimal intervention on short-term intermediate pain intensity (SMD = -0.64, 95% CI: -1.72 to 0.45) and short-term intermediate back-specific functional status (SMD = -0.39, 95% CI: -0.87 to 0.09). Conclusions: e-Health interventions based on self-maintenance and education are as effective on pain and back-specific functional status as other face-to-face or home-based interventions in patients with chronic LBP, with moderate scientific evidence.

Abstract
New methods of connecting physicians and patients have arisen. Technology is playing a crucial role and the concept of hybrid doctor–patient relationship is considered relevant for the competitive health management system. At the same time, the need for knowledge about implementing policies and best practices into the system is highly demanding. Digital tools, such as eHealth or mHealth can improve the traditional approach to consulting patients without requiring face-to-face interaction. However, due to the discussion surrounding the adoption of these technologies, the authors performed the study with two marketing research methods. The first is qualitative and is related to the opinions, attitudes, and beliefs of Romanian experts on the use of eHealth and mHealth for the prevention, detection, and treatment of mild mental disorders. The second method quantifies the opinions, attitudes, and behaviours of Romanian adults on their openness to adopt new technologies for mental health management. The main findings of the research highlight three factors that can increase the chances of adults using technology for health-related needs: (1) accessibility (2) data security, and (3) content. These are the main aspects that influence the well-being of both young and older adults, who both need support regarding mental health management.

Abstract
BackgroundThe COVID-19 pandemic hit Austria in March 2020. This led to a considerable reduction in outpatient psychiatric therapies. People with mental disorders as well as with newly emerging mental health issues found themselves with very limited treatment options. Within only a few days our hospital set up an online mental health self-help program which went online in its first version on the first day of the lockdown in Austria. The process of this development and implementation process alongside with the user’s and usage data for the program are presented here.MethodsA small core team initiated the development of the program on a low-budget basis and using mostly freely available digital resources. The program had to be free of costs for its users and easy to navigate. Each self-help module contains a text description of the topic, a self-rating questionnaire and several psychoeducational 2–5 min videos. These videos explain, e.g., interactions of mental stress and the immune system or the vicious circle of anxiety. Additional videos provide easy to learn techniques like breathing and relaxation exercises.ResultsWe illustrate the implementation of this program following the replicating effective program (REP) model. We provide a detailed description of the implementation process starting from a simple website to a smartphone-based application with registered user area and instantaneous reporting of self-rating questionnaire results to users. The described process could be used as a model for the setup of similar programs in a very short time. As an indicator of acceptance, we report 46,100 unique video views and 3,937 completed questionnaires in the first year of use. The most accessed videos were those on anxiety, relaxation and resilience. Analysis of the sociodemographic user data indicate that they were mostly young (< 45 years; 59.7%), females (77.5%) and previously mentally healthy individuals (74.5%). An example of the collected psychometric questionnaire data over time is given.ConclusionWe show that it is possible to set up an online mental health self-help program ad hoc and without extensive prior planning, which enabled us to dynamically respond to a new situation. We are now planning on keeping the program active for a longer period of time to supplement and expand traditional treatment settings also outside the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract
Cardiovascular imaging has achieved a crucial role in the management of cardiovascular diseases. In this field, echocardiography advantages include wide availability, portability, and affordability, at a relatively low cost. However, echocardiographic assessment requires highly trained operators, and implies high observer variability, as compared with the other cardiac imaging modalities. Hence, artificial intelligence might be extremely helpful. From the point-of-view of the peripheral "Spoke" Hospital potential user ("the other side of the coin"), artificial intelligence development appears very slow in the clinical arena. Many limitations are still present, and require full involvement, cooperation, and coordination of professional operators into Hub-and-Spoke network.

Abstract
BACKGROUND This survey study investigates surgical patients' use and perception of digital health technologies in Germany in the pre-COVID-19 era. OBJECTIVE The objective of this study was to relate surgical patients' characteristics to the use and perception of several digital health technologies. METHODS In this single-center, cross-sectional survey study in the outpatient department of a university hospital in Germany, 406 patients completed a questionnaire with the following three domains: general information and use of the internet, smartphones, and general digital health aspects. Analyses were stratified by age group and highest education level achieved. RESULTS We found significant age-based differences in most of the evaluated aspects. Younger patients were more open to using new technologies in private and medical settings but had more security concerns. Although searching for information on illnesses on the web was common, the overall acceptance of and trust in web-based consultations were rather low, with <50% of patients in each age group reporting acceptance and trust. More people with academic qualifications than without academic qualifications searched for information on the web before visiting physicians (73/121, 60.3% and 100/240, 41.7%, respectively). Patients with academic degrees were also more engaged in health-related information and communication technology use. CONCLUSIONS These results support the need for eHealth literacy, health literacy, and available digital devices and internet access to support the active, meaningful use of information and communication technologies in health care. Uncertainties and a lack of knowledge exist, especially regarding telemedicine and the use of medical and health apps. This is especially pronounced among older patients and patients with a low education status.

Abstract
In this study, a design science research methodology was used aiming at designing, implementing and evaluating a digital health service to complement the provision of healthcare for elderly people with balance disorders and risk of falling. An explanatory sequential mixed methods study allowed to identify and explore the dissatisfaction with electronic medical records and the opportunity for using digital health solutions. The suggested recommendations helped to elaborate and develop “BALANCE”, a digital service implemented on the METHIS platform, which was recently validated for remote monitoring of chronic patients in primary healthcare. “BALANCE” provides clinical and interactive data, questionnaire pre and post-balance rehabilitation, tutorial videos with balance exercises and patient-recorded videos of the exercises. This digital service was demonstrated, including five elderly patients with clinical recommendations for balance rehabilitation at home. Finally, the authors conducted two focus groups with the participants and their caregivers as well as with physicians. The focus groups aimed at exploring their satisfaction level, needs of adjustment in the “BALANCE” service and strategies for applicability. The digital healthcare service evaluation revealed a significant potential for clinical applicability of this digital solution for elderly people with balance disorders and risk of falling.

Abstract
PurposeThe health literacy concerned by numerous policy and advocacy organizations is springing up rapidly and has evolved substantially over the past few decades. During the period of COVID-19, people who are in the absence of effective treatment and limited availability of vaccination need a higher health literacy to protective themselves. In order to provide a summary of the health literacy research, a visualized and Scientometric analysis is applied in this study.MethodsBased on a scientific review of 3,670 data on health literacy from Web of Science, this research uses Citespace software to systematically and objectively describe health literacy to determine the knowledge evolution structure between articles and investigate research trends.ResultsThe results show that the annual outputs of publications have grown rapidly since 2003. The USA and Australia make larger contributions compared with other countries in terms of quantity of publications and worldwide collaboration relationship between them. The “Soc Sci Med,” “J Health Commun.” “Patient Educ Couns” and “J Gen Intern Med” pay more attention to health literacy research. The leading authors with influence and authority are Wolf MS, Osborne RH, and Paasche-Orlow MK. Health literacy research in this field focuses on care, knowledge, and education, and so on. An emerging trend of health literacy with Covid-19, online tools, nursing, and obesity will spread across the globe.ConclusionCompared with simply reviewing existing articles, the major contribution in this study is a comprehensive review of yearly scientific output, journals, countries, institutions, contributors, highly cited papers, and keywords for health literacy research. The review also provides valuable and seminal guidelines for interested researchers on health literacy research.

Abstract
Despite all its promises, telemedicine is still not widely implemented in the care of rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases (RMDs). The aim of this study is to investigate opportunities, barriers, acceptance, and preferences concerning telemedicine among RMD patients and professional stakeholders. From November 2017 to December 2019, a participatory, mixed-methods study was conducted, consisting of (1) expert interviews (n = 27) with RMD patients and professional stakeholders, (2) a national paper-based patient survey (n = 766), and (3) focus groups (n = 2) with patient representatives and rheumatologists. The qualitative findings indicate that patients equate personal contact with physical face-to-face contact, which could be reduced by implementing telemedicine, thus negatively influencing the patient–doctor relationship. Correspondingly “no personal contact with the doctor” is the main reason (64%) why 38% of the surveyed patients refuse to try telemedicine. Professional stakeholders expect telemedicine to contribute to the effective allocation of scarce resources in rheumatology care. The main barriers reported by stakeholders were the scarcity of time resources in RMD care, the absence of physical examinations, and organizational challenges associated with the implementation of telemedicine in RMD care. While the exact integration of telemedicine into routine care has yet to be found, the consequences on the patient-physician relationship must be permanently considered.
