Abstract
Sn-3Ag-0.5Cu (SAC305)- and Sn-9Zn-based alloys (Sn-Zn-X, X = Al, In) are lead-free solders used in the fabrication of solder joints with Cu metallization. Electroplating is a facile technology used to fabricate Cu metallization. However, the addition of functional additive molecules in the plating solution may result in impurity residues in the Cu electroplated layer, causing damage to the solder joints. This study investigates the impurity effect on solder joints constructed by joining various solder alloys to the Cu electroplated layers. Functional additives are formulated to fabricate high-impurity and low-impurity Cu electroplated samples. The as-joined solder joint samples are thermally aged at 120 °C and 170 °C to explore the interfacial reactions between solder alloys and Cu. The results show that the impurity effect on the interfacial reactions between SAC305 and Cu is significant. Voids are massively formed at the SAC305/Cu interface incorporated with a high impurity content, and the Cu6Sn5 intermetallic compound (IMC) grows at a faster rate. In contrast, the growth of the Cu5Zn8 IMC formed in the SnZn-based solder joints is not significantly influenced by the impurity content in the Cu electroplated layers. Voids are not observed in the SnZn-based solder joints regardless of the impurity content, indicative of an insignificant impurity effect. The discrepancy of the impurity effect is rationalized by the differences in the IMC formation and associated atomic interdiffusion in the SAC305- and SnZn-based solder joints.

Abstract
In response to the increasing number of carbapenem-resistant Enterobacterales (CRE), we investigated carbapenemase-producing Klebsiella pneumoniae and non-K. pneumoniae epidemiology and genetics. We collected 76 clinical Enterobacterales and 4 stool surveillance Escherichia coli isolates resistant to ertapenem or imipenem. Using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and DNA sequencing, we assessed carbapenemases, extended-spectrum β-lactamases, and AmpC β-lactamases. Molecular typing via pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) and conjugation experiments were conducted to examine resistance gene transfer. Among the 80 isolates, 96.2% harbored at least one carbapenemase gene, with blaOXA-48 in 87.5%. KPC-2 and IMP-8 carbapenemases were found in 15.0 and 22.5% of the isolates, respectively, with 27.5% having 2 or more carbapenemase genes. The PFGE analysis revealed the presence of diverse genotypes. PCR-based plasmid replicon typing identified IncA/C as the most prevalent type among K. pneumoniae isolates (26/29), and IncF and IncFIB among E. coli isolates (22/28). Conjugal transfer was successful for plasmids encoding OXA-48, CTX-M-3, CTX-M-14, CMY-2, and other β-lactamases, except the KPC-2 gene. In conclusion, our study highlights high carbapenemase prevalence in CRE, primarily OXA-48. Multiple carbapenemases within strains were common, and PFGE showed diverse patterns in these carbapenem-resistant isolates.

Abstract
Carbapenem-resistant ST11_KL64 Klebsiella pneumoniae emerged as a significant public health concern in Taiwan, peaking between 2013 and 2015, with the majority of isolates exhibiting OXA-48 as the sole carbapenemase. In this study, we employed whole-genome sequencing to investigate the molecular underpinnings of ST11_KL64 isolates collected from 2013 to 2021. Phylogenomic analysis revealed a notable genetic divergence between the ST11_KL64 strains in Taiwan and those in China, suggesting an independent evolutionary trajectory. Our findings indicated that the ST11_KL64_Taiwan lineage originated from the ST11_KL64 lineage in Brazil, with recombination events leading to the integration of ICEKp11 and a 27-kb fragment at the tRNAASN sites, shaping its unique genomic landscape. To further elucidate this unique sublineage, we examined the plasmid contents. In contrast to ST11_KL64_Brazil strains, which predominantly carried blaKPC-2, ST11_KL64_Taiwan strains exhibited the acquisition of an epidemic blaOXA-48-carrying IncL plasmid. Additionally, ST11_KL64_Taiwan strains consistently harbored a multi-drug resistance IncC plasmid, along with a collection of gene clusters that conferred resistance to heavy metals and the phage shock protein system via various Inc-type plasmids. Although few, there were still rare ST11_KL64_Taiwan strains that have evolved into hypervirulent CRKP through the horizontal acquisition of pLVPK variants. Comprehensive characterization of the high-risk ST11_KL64 lineage in Taiwan not only sheds light on its epidemic success but also provides essential data for ongoing surveillance efforts aimed at tracking the spread and evolution of ST11_KL64 across different geographical regions. Understanding the molecular underpinnings of CRKP evolution is crucial for developing effective strategies to combat its emergence and dissemination.

Abstract
An acyl radical reaction of bicyclo[2.2.2]octenone to yield either rearranged or cyclized isotwistane products is described. The influence of ring strain on the reaction was demonstrated by alternating the sizes of the fused ring in the starting material. DFT calculations showed that the reaction is under thermodynamic control and proceeds via a 5-exo-trig cyclization intermediate, which undergoes either hydrogen-atom transfer (HAT) to give a cyclized product or rearrangement via a twistane intermediate to give a rearranged product.

Abstract
Long-term potentiation (LTP) is one of the major cellular mechanisms for learning and memory. Activity-dependent increases in surface AMPA receptors (AMPARs) are important for enhanced synaptic efficacy during LTP. Here, we report a novel function of a secretory trafficking protein, ICA69, in AMPAR trafficking, synaptic plasticity, and animal cognition. ICA69 is first identified as a diabetes-associated protein well characterized for its function in the biogenesis of secretory vesicles and trafficking of insulin from ER, Golgi to post-Golgi in pancreatic beta cells. In the brain, ICA69 is found in the AMPAR protein complex through its interaction with PICK1, which binds directly to GluA2 or GluA3 AMPAR subunits. Here, we showed that ICA69 regulates PICK1's distribution in neurons and stability in the mouse hippocampus, which in turn can impact AMPAR function in the brain. Biochemical analysis of postsynaptic density (PSD) proteins from hippocampi of mice lacking ICA69 (Ica1 knockout) and their wild-type littermates revealed comparable AMPAR protein levels. Electrophysiological recording and morphological analysis of CA1 pyramidal neurons from Ica1 knockout also showed normal AMPAR-mediated currents and dendrite architecture, indicating that ICA69 does not regulate synaptic AMPAR function and neuron morphology at the basal state. However, genetic deletion of ICA69 in mice selectively impairs NMDA receptor (NMDAR)-dependent LTP but not LTD at Schaffer collateral to CA1 synapses, which correlates with behavioral deficits in tests of spatial and associative learning and memory. Together, we identified a critical and selective role of ICA69 in LTP, linking ICA69-mediated synaptic strengthening to hippocampus-dependent learning and memory.

Abstract
This study focuses on the cooperative attitude and intention of retail stores in Taiwan to cooperate with the government's related pandemic prevention measures. The study is based on the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). The study includes factors such as perceived risk of infection, job stress, pandemic prevention IT (information technology) convenience, pandemic prevention attitude, and pandemic prevention intention. Pandemic prevention attitude is used as a mediating variable to establish the research framework. This study collected research data through a questionnaire survey. A total of 457 valid questionnaires were collected through an electronic questionnaire platform. The findings showed that perceived risk of infection and pandemic prevention IT convenience had a positive and significant effect on pandemic prevention attitude (β = 0.567; β = 0.422) and pandemic prevention intention (β = 0.424; β = 0.296). Job stress has a significant negative effect on attitude (β = -0.173). In addition, job stress influenced intention through attitudes. Finally, perceived risk, job stress, and IT convenience had high explanatory power (R2 = 0.706) on attitudes. Perceived risk, IT convenience, and attitude also had moderate explanatory power (R2 = 0.588) on prevention intention. The study also suggests practical recommendations to improve and cooperate with pandemic prevention intention.

Abstract
Objective: To develop a model combined with dual-energy CT quantitative parameters and conventional CT features for evaluating the expression level of Ki-67 in invasive breast cancer. Methods: A total of 191 patients with histologically confirmed invasive breast cancer in Lishui Central Hospital from March 2019 to December 2020, were retrospectively enrolled, all of them were females, aged from 25 to 77 (53.2±11.3) years. All patients underwent preoperative non-contrast chest and contrast-enhanced Dual energy CT scans, and the normalized iodine concentration (NIC) of lesions on arterial and venous phase, spectral curve slope (λHU), and normalized effective atomic number (nZeff) were measured and calculated, and their conventional CT characteristics were assessed. According to the results of immunohistochemistry (IHC), the patients were divided into Ki-67 high expression group (n=129 patients) and low expression group (n=62 patients) level. The differences in clinical data, conventional CT characteristics and dual-energy CT quantitative parameters between the two groups were analyzed. The receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) curve was conducted to assess the efficacy of each individual model and joint model in evaluating Ki-67 expression levels, and the area under the curve (AUC), sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy were calculated, respectively. Results: In the analysis of CT features, the longest diameter, shape and enhancement pattern of the tumor were significantly difference between the two groups (all P<0.05). The NIC, nZeff on the arterial phase and NIC, nZeff and λHU [M(Q1,Q3)] on the venous phase were higher in the high Ki-67 expression group compared to the low expression group [0.13 (0.12, 0.16) vs 0.11 (0.08, 0.14), 0.71 (0.70, 0.75) vs 0.70 (0.67, 0.72), 0.40 (0.32, 0.48) vs 0.23 (0.17, 0.32), 3.10 (2.58, 3.63) vs 2.86 (2.19, 3.48), 0.88 (0.85, 0.92) vs 0.85 (0.84, 0.86), all P<0.05]. The logistic regression model, which integrated significant conventional CT features and dual-energy CT quantitative parameters, demonstrated the highest diagnostic performance for assessing Ki-67 expression levels, with an AUC of 0.924, sensitivity of 88.37%, specificity of 83.87%, and accuracy of 86.91%; the AUC of the dual-energy CT parameter model was 0.908, sensitivity of 82.17%, specificity of 88.71%, and accuracy of 84.29%. Though the diagnostic efficacy was no significant difference (P=0.238), both models showed superior to the conventional CT feature model (all P<0.001). Conclusion: A dual-energy CT quantitative parameter combined with a conventional CT feature model was successfully constructed, which has a good evaluation performance on the expression level of Ki-67 in invasive breast cancer.

Abstract
Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) are of great interest in the energy and optoelectronic fields due to their high porosity, superior thermal stability, and highly ordered conjugated architecture, which are beneficial for charge migration, charge separation, and light harvesting. In this study, polyimide COFs (PI-COFs) are synthesized through the condensation reaction of pyromellitic dianhydride (PMDA) with tris(4-aminophenyl) amine (TAPA) and then doped in the TiO2 photoelectrode of a dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) to co-work with N719 dye to explore their functionality. As a benchmark, the pristine DSSC without the doping of PI-COFs exhibits a power conversion efficiency of 9.05% under simulated one sun illumination. The doping of 0.04 wt % PI-COFs contributes an enhanced short-circuit current density (JSC) from 17.43 to 19.03 mA/cm2, and therefore, the cell efficiency is enhanced to 9.93%. The enhancement of JSC is attributed to the bifunctionality of PI-COFs, which enhances the charge transfer/injection and suppresses the charge recombination through the host (PI-COF)-guest (N719 dye) interaction. In addition, the PI-COFs also function as a cosensitizer and contribute a small quantity of photoinduced electrons upon sunlight illumination. Surface modification of oxygen plasma improves the hydrophilicity of PI-COF particles and reinforces the heterogeneous linkage between PI-COF and TiO2 nanoparticles, giving rise to more efficient charge injection. As a result, the champion cell exhibits a high power conversion efficiency of 10.46% with an enhanced JSC of 19.43 mA/cm2. This methodology of increasing solar efficiency by modification of the photoelectrode with the doping of PI-COFs in the TiO2 nanoparticles is promising in the development of DSSCs.

Abstract
Background Castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) with sustained androgen receptor (AR) signaling remains a critical clinical challenge, despite androgen depletion therapy. The Jumonji C-containing histone lysine demethylase family 4 (KDM4) members, KDM4A‒KDM4C, serve as critical coactivators of AR to promote tumor growth in prostate cancer and are candidate therapeutic targets to overcome AR mutations/alterations-mediated resistance in CRPC. Methods In this study, using a structure-based approach, we identified a natural product, myricetin, able to block the demethylation of histone 3 lysine 9 trimethylation by KDM4 members and evaluated its effects on CRPC. A structure-based screening was employed to search for a natural product that inhibited KDM4B. Inhibition kinetics of myricetin was determined. The cytotoxic effect of myricetin on various prostate cancer cells was evaluated. The combined effect of myricetin with enzalutamide, a second-generation AR inhibitor toward C4-2B, a CRPC cell line, was assessed. To improve bioavailability, myricetin encapsulated by poly lactic-co-glycolic acid (PLGA), the US food and drug administration (FDA)-approved material as drug carriers, was synthesized and its antitumor activity alone or with enzalutamide was evaluated using in vivo C4-2B xenografts. Results Myricetin was identified as a potent α-ketoglutarate-type inhibitor that blocks the demethylation activity by KDM4s and significantly reduced the proliferation of both androgen-dependent (LNCaP) and androgen-independent CRPC (CWR22Rv1 and C4-2B). A synergistic cytotoxic effect toward C4-2B was detected for the combination of myricetin and enzalutamide. PLGA-myricetin, enzalutamide, and the combined treatment showed significantly greater antitumor activity than that of the control group in the C4-2B xenograft model. Tumor growth was significantly lower for the combination treatment than for enzalutamide or myricetin treatment alone. Conclusions These results suggest that myricetin is a pan-KDM4 inhibitor and exhibited potent cell cytotoxicity toward CRPC cells. Importantly, the combination of PLGA-encapsulated myricetin with enzalutamide is potentially effective for CRPC. Abstract
PurposeThis study aims to develop a hierarchical topic analysis tool (HTAT) based on hierarchical Latent Dirichelet allocation (hLDA) to support digital humanities research that is associated with the need of topic exploration on the Digital Humanities Platform for Mr. Lo Chia-Lun’s Writings (DHP-LCLW). HTAT can assist humanities scholars on distant reading with analysis of hierarchical text topics, through classifying time-stamped texts into multiple historical eras, conducting hierarchical topic modeling (HTM) according to the texts from different eras and presenting through visualization. The comparative network diagram is another function provided to assist humanities scholars in comparing the difference in the topics they wish to explore and to track how the concept of a topic changes over time from a particular perspective. In addition, HTAT can also provide humanities scholars with the feature to view source texts, thus having high potential to be applied in promoting the effectiveness of topic exploration due to simultaneously integrating both the topic exploration functions of distant reading and close reading.Design/methodology/approachThis study adopts a counterbalanced experimental design to examine whether there is significant differences in the effectiveness of topic inquiry, the number of relevant topics inquired and the time spent on them when research participants were alternately conducting text exploration using DHP-LCLW with HTAT or DHP-LCLW with Single-layer Topic Analysis Tool (SLTAT). A technology acceptance questionnaire and semi-structured interviews were also conducted to understand the research participants' perception and feelings toward using the two different tools to assist topic inquiry.FindingsThe experimental results show that DHP-LCLW with HTAT could better assist the research participants, in comparison with DHP-LCLW with SLTAT, to grasp the topic context of the texts from two particular perspectives assigned by this study within a short period. In addition, the results of the interviews revealed that DHP-LCLW with HTAT, in comparison with SLTAT, was able to provide a topic terms that better met research participnats' expectations and needs, and effectively guided them to the corresponding texts for close reading. In the analysis of technology acceptance and interview data, it can be found that the research participants have a high and positive tendency toward using DHP-LCLW with HTAT to assist topic inquiry.Research limitations/implicationsThe Jieba Chinese word segmentation system was used in the Mr. Lo Chia-Lun’s Writings Database in this study, to perform word segmentation on Mr. Lo Chia-Lun’s writing texts for topic modeling based on hLDA. Since Jieba word segmentation system is a lexicon based word segmentation system, it cannot identify new words that have still not been collected in the lexicon well. In this case, the correctness of word segmentation on the target texts will affect the results of hLDA topic modeling, and the effectiveness of HTAT in assisting humanities scholars for topic inquiry.Practical implicationsAn HTAT was developed to support digital humanities research in this study. With HTAT, DHP-LCLW provides hmanities scholars with topic clues from different hierarchical perspectives for textual exploration, and with temporal and comparative network diagrams to assist humanities scholars in tracking the evolution of the topics of specific perspectives over time, to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the overall context of the texts.Originality/valueIn recent years, topic analysis technology that can automatically extract key topic information from a large amount of texts has been developed rapidly, but the topics generated from traditional topic analysis models like LDA (Latent Dirichelet allocation) make it difficult for users to understand the differences in the topics of texts with different hierarchical levels. Thus, this study proposes HTAT which uses hLDA to build a hierarchical topic tree with a tree-like structure without the need to define the number of topics in advance, enabling humanities scholars to quickly grasp the concept of textual topics and use different hierarchical perspectives for further textual exploration. At the same time, it also provides a combination function of temporal division and comparative network diagram to assist humanities scholars in exploring topics and their changes in different eras, which helps them discover more useful research clues or findings.

Abstract
Introduction. Antimicrobial resistance associated with animal hosts is easily transmitted to humans either by direct contact with resistant organisms or by transferring resistance genes into human pathogens.Gap statement. There are limited studies on antimicrobial resistance genes and genetic elements of multidrug-resistant (MDR) Escherichia coli in veterinary hospitals in Taiwan.Aim. The aim of this study was to investigate antimicrobial resistance genes in multidrug-resistant Escherichia coli from animals.Methodology. Between January 2014 and August 2015, 95 multidrug-resistant Escherichia coli isolates were obtained from pigs (n=66), avians (n=18), and other animals (n=11) in a veterinary hospital in Taiwan. Susceptibility testing to 24 antimicrobial agents of 14 antimicrobial classes was performed. Antimicrobial resistance genes, integrons, and insertion sequences were analysed by polymerase chain reaction and nucleotide sequencing. Pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE), and multi-locus sequence typing were used to explore the clonal relatedness of the study isolates.Results. Different antimicrobial resistance genes found in these isolates were associated with resistance to β-lactams, tetracycline, phenicols, sulfonamides, and aminoglycosides. Fifty-five of 95 E. coli isolates (55/95, 57.9 %) were not susceptible to extended-spectrum cephalosporins, and bla CTX-M-55 (11/55, 20.0 %) and bla CMY-2 (40/55, 72.7 %) were the most common extended-spectrum β-lactamase (ESBL) and AmpC genes, respectively. Both bla CTX-M and bla CMY-2 were present on conjugative plasmids that contained the insertion sequence ISEcp1 upstream of the bla genes. Plasmid-mediated FOX-3 β-lactamase-producing E. coli was first identified in Taiwan. Forty isolates (40/95, 42 %) with class 1 integrons showed seven resistance phenotypes. Genotyping of 95 E. coli isolates revealed 91 different XbaI pulsotypes and 52 different sequence types. PFGE analysis revealed no clonal outbreaks in our study isolates.Conclusion. This study showed a high diversity of antimicrobial resistance genes and genotypes among MDR E. coli isolated from diseased livestock in Taiwan. To our knowledge, this is the first report of plasmid-mediated ESBL in FOX-3 β-lactamase-producing E. coli isolates in Taiwan. MDR E. coli isolates from animal origins may contaminate the environment, resulting in public health concerns, indicating that MDR isolates from animals need to be continuously investigated.

Abstract
The development of multiple intelligences used to focus on kindergartens and elementary schools as educational experts and officials considered that the development of students' multiple intelligences should be cultivated from childhood and slowly promoted to other levels. Nevertheless, the framework of multiple intelligences should not be simply promoted in kindergartens and elementary schools, but was also suitable in high schools, universities, and even graduate schools or in-service training. Taking employees in Southern Taiwan Science Park as the research subjects, total 314 employees in high-tech industry are preceded the 16-week (3 h per week for total 48 h) experimental teaching research. The research results show that (1) teaching with multiple intelligences would affect learning motivation, (2) teaching with multiple intelligences would affect learning achievement, and (3) learning motivation reveals remarkably positive effects on learning achievement. According to the results to proposed discussions, it is expected to help high-tech industry, when developing human resource potential, effectively well-utilize people's gifted uniqueness

Abstract
Lactobacillus plantarum PS128 has been reported as a psychobiotic to improve mental health through the gut–brain axis in experimental animal models. To explore its mechanism of action in the gut, this study aimed to analyze the effects of L. plantarum PS128 ingestion on naïve and loperamide (Lop)-induced constipation mice. We found that, in the two mouse models, the weight, number, and water content of feces in the L. plantarum PS128 group were higher than those in the vehicle control group. Histological observation revealed that L. plantarum PS128 increased the level of colonic mucins including the major mucin MUC2. In addition, the charcoal meal test showed that L. plantarum PS128 significantly increased the small intestine transit in naïve mice, but not in the Lop-treated mice. Since intestinal serotonin has been found to modulate motility, we further analyzed the expression of genes related to serotonin signal transduction in the small intestine of naïve mice. The results showed that L. plantarum PS128 significantly altered the expression levels of Tph1, Chga, Slc6a4, and Htr4, but did not affect the expression levels of Tph2, Htr3a, and Maoa. Furthermore, immunohistochemistry revealed that L. plantarum PS128 significantly increased the number of serotonin-containing intestinal cells in mice. Taken together, our results suggest that L. plantarum PS128 could promote intestinal motility, mucin production, and serotonin signal transduction, leading to a laxative effect in mice.

Abstract
Epoxy with low viscosity and good fluidity before curing has been widely applied in the packaging of electronic and electrical devices. Nevertheless, its low flexibility and toughness renders the requirement of property improvement before it can be widely acceptable in dynamic loading applications. This study investigates the possible use of 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) toughening agent and nano-powders, such as alumina, silicon dioxide, and carbon black, to form epoxy composites for dynamic property improvement. Considering the different combinations of the nano-powders and HEMA toughener, the Taguchi method with an L9 orthogonal array was adopted for composition optimization. The dynamic storage modulus and loss tangent of the prepared specimen were measured by employing a dynamic mechanical analyzer. With polynomial regression, the curve-fitted relationships of the glass transition temperature and storage modulus with respect to the design factors were obtained. It was found that although the raise in the weight fraction of nano-powders was beneficial in increasing the rigidity of the epoxy composite, an optimal amount of HEMA toughener existed for its best damping improvement.

Abstract
Klebsiella pneumoniae resides in the gastrointestinal (GI) microbiota of humans and animals. To characterize the population dynamics of GI-colonizing K. pneumoniae, we examined the clonality of K. pneumoniae isolates, which were longitudinally collected from the fecal samplings of a healthy married couple and their pet animals during Sep. 2015 to Oct. 2016. As revealed by XbaI-PFGE analysis, the K. pneumoniae populations detected in the male owner and in one of the dogs, consisted of clonally diverse K. pneumoniae isolates; whereas, a dominant clone persisted in the GI tract of the female owner who was prone to chronic diarrhea. Whole-genome sequencing analysis of a representative strain of this pathobiont clone revealed a sequence type (ST) 29 lineage with the carriage of KL54 cps locus and a 192,603 bp IncHIB-type virulence plasmid. After probiotics intervention, the pathobiont K. pneumoniae diminished. The vacant niche was transiently occupied by other clones of K. pneumoniae, one of which was also present in the male owner. Besides the dog, the fecal carriage of K. pneumoniae was also detected in a pet turtle. This turtle isolate was resistant to multiple antimicrobials, including carbapenems. Abstract
The mechanical performance of electroplated Cu plays a crucial role in next-generation Cu-to-Cu direct bonding for the three-dimension integrated circuit (3D IC). This work reports direct-current electroplated (111)-preferred and nanotwin-doped nanocrystalline Cu, of which strength is at the forefront performance compared with all reported electroplated Cu materials. Tension and compression tests are performed to present the ultrahigh ultimate strength of 977 MPa and 1158 MPa, respectively. The microstructure of nanoscale Cu grains with an average grain size around 61 nm greatly contributes to the ultrahigh strength as described by the grain refinement effect. A gap between the obtained yield strength and the Hall-Petch relationship indicates the presence of extra strengthening mechanisms. X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy analysis identify the highly (111) oriented texture and sporadic twins with optimum thicknesses, which can effectively impede intragranular dislocation movements, thus further advance the strength. Via filling capability and high throughput are also demonstrated in the patterned wafer plating. The combination of ultrahigh tensile/compressive strength, (111) preferred texture, superfilling capability and high throughput satisfies the critical requirement of Cu interconnects plating technology towards the industrial manufacturing in advanced 3D IC packaging application.

Abstract
A highly efficient diode-pumped Nd:YVO4/KGW Raman yellow laser is developed to produce a 6.8 W yellow light at 579.5 nm accompanied by a 3.2 W Stokes wave at 1159 nm under an incident pump power of 30 W. The intracavity stimulated Raman scattering with the shift of 768cm-1 is generated by setting the polarization of the fundamental wave along the Ng direction of an Np-cut KGW crystal. The Nd:YVO4 gain medium is coated as a cavity mirror to reduce the cavity losses for the fundamental wave. More importantly, the KGW crystal is specially coated to prevent the Stokes wave from propagating through the gain medium to minimize the cavity losses for the Stokes wave.

Abstract
As the COVID‐19 pandemic continues to expand worldwide, Taiwan has effectively contained the spread domestically and protected its citizens after registering its first case relatively early on 21 January 2020. Proactive preparedness and deployment by the national government, timely evidence and experience‐based judgements and decision‐making, information transparency, rapid response, and effective communication and measures have all been critical to combating COVID‐19 in Taiwan. Nurses play a pivotal role in providing direct health care as well as providing contact tracing and care for the quarantined clients and community care services. The Taiwan Nurses Association and other nurses’ associations serve a vital leadership role in advocating for nurses, raising public awareness, enhancing nursing’s professional profile, and sharing experiences via national and international platforms. The implications for nursing and health policy are that we need to well prepare for any unpredicted emerging pandemic in the future. Providing adequate personal protective equipment and safe staffing should be the highest priority for the governments and policymakers around the world to combat pandemic successfully.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the feasibility of short-term efficacy prognosis prediction model for HCC patients undergoing transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) based on MRI-based radiomics technique. Methods: A total of 123 patients with liver cancer who received TACE treatment in Lishui Central Hospital from June 2016 to July 2018 were retrospectively collected, including 90 males and 33 females, with an average age of 24-83 (58±10) years. All the patients were pathologically confirmed as hepatocellular carcinoma and underwent MRI scan before surgery.All patients were followed up 3-4 months after TACE, and further divided into training group (n=85, 42 of which were effective and 43 cases were ineffective) and the validation group (n=38, 19 of which were effective and 19 were ineffective) according to the modified response evaluation criteria in solid tumors (mRECIST). There was no statistical difference in the general information between the two groups of patients, which was comparable. Then, preoperative T(2)WI images were used for radiomics analysis, texture parameters were screened based on R language, and short-term efficacy prediction model of TACE for training group and verification group was constructed. Results: T(2)WI image analysis of each patient received 396 different texture parameters, and further used Lasso dimensionality reduction and 10 times cross-validation screening to obtain 5 characteristic texture parameters, specifically stdDeviation, ClusterProminence_angle135_offset4, Correlation_angle135_offset4, Inertia_angle135_offset4, InverseDifferenceMoment_angle45_offset4. According to the above five texture parameters and their corresponding coefficient values, the corresponding radiomics scores (Radscore) were calculated, and the prediction models of the training group and the verification group were further constructed.It was found that the area under the ROC curve of the training group was 0.812 (95%CI: 0.722-0.901), the sensitivity and specificity were 83.7% and 69.0%, respectively. The area under the ROC curve of the validation group was 0.801 (95%CI:0.654-0.947), and the sensitivity and specificity were 89.5% and 63.2%, respectively. Conclusion: The constructed TACE prediction model in the present study has high prediction accuracy, sensitivity and specificity.The short-term efficacy prognosis prediction model for HCC based on MRI is constructed, stable and reliable.

Abstract
The criterion for optimizing the high-power acousto-optically ${Q}$Q-switched self-Raman yellow laser is originally explored for the repetition rate within 100-500 kHz. The minimum allowed value for the gate-open time is experimentally verified to be determined by the pulse buildup time. By using the minimum allowed gate-open time, the highest conversion efficiency can be achieved to raise the output power by approximately 20% in comparison with the conventional results. At a repetition rate of 200 kHz, the maximum output power at 588 nm can be up to 8.8 W at an incident pump power of 26 W. Furthermore, a practical formula is developed to accurately calculate the threshold pump power as a function of the gate-open time for a given repetition rate.

Abstract
A novel, to the best of our knowledge, approach is developed to realize a high-power compact efficient yellow-lime-green triple-color ${\rm Nd}:{{\rm YVO}_4}$Nd:YVO4 self-Raman laser. The 588 nm yellow laser, the 559 nm lime laser, and the 532 nm green laser are converted from the 1064 nm fundamental wave and the 1176 nm Stokes Raman field. The simultaneous three-color operation is accomplished with three stages to step-by-step generate the 588 nm, 559 nm, and 532 nm lasers by using three different lithium triborate (LBO) crystals. By tuning the temperature of each individual LBO crystal, the 588 nm, 559 nm, and 532 nm output powers can be nearly the same and concurrently up to 2.4 W at the incident pump power of 30 W, corresponding to a conversion efficiency of 24% for the total output power.

Abstract
Objectives: Tophi may occur within the knee joint causing limited knee-joint range of motion (knee motion). We investigated the relationships between knee motion, total intra-articular tophi size (tIA-tophi), and total subcutaneous tophi size (tSC-tophi) and determined knee motion improvement after continual urate-lowering therapy (ULT). Methods: A total of 26 patients with tophaceous gout and limited knee motion were enrolled. Inclusion criteria were age ≤ 60 years and preserved knee joint space on a plain radiograph. tSC-tophi were measured using a Vernier caliper and tIA-tophi were measured using magnetic resonance imaging software. All patients were re-evaluated after 12-24 months of continual ULT. Upon initial visit, knee motion was related to tIA-tophi and tSC-tophi. Results: After an average of 18.2 months of ULT, the reduction in tSC-tophi was correlated with the reduction in tIA-tophi (P = 0.014, r = 0.395) and improvement in knee motion (P = 0.038, r = 0.408). Knee motion can be eventually improved even in cases of poor initial knee motion (P = 0.000, r = -0.911) or large initial tIA-tophi (P = 0.014, r = 0.476). Tophi can occur in any location within the knee joint. In multiple lineal regression, knee motion was predicted to improve 8.39° for every 10cm of tIA-tophi reduction. Conclusions: Limited knee motion in patients with intra-articular tophi improved with medical treatment, regardless of initial severity. Furthermore, tSC-tophi can be used as an indicator of limited knee motion and their improvement as a predictor of knee motion improvement.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the novel application and effectof Percutaneous Full-Endoscopic transforaminal approach for lumbar dumbbell tumors. Methods: A retrospective analysis of 12 cases of lumbar dumbbell tumors was conducted by Percutaneous full-endoscopic transforaminal approach in the Department of Neurosurgery, Fujian Medical University Union Hospital from Feb, 2018 to Jul, 2019. According to Eden classification, 5 cases in type Ⅲ and 7 cases in type Ⅳ. The Japanese Orthopaedic Association (JOA) score and Pain Visual analogue Scale (VAS) were used to compare the recovery of neurological function before and after surgery. Results: All the 12 tumors were completely removed in one stage. The pathological reports were all schwannomas (WHO grade Ⅰ). The VAS scores were significantly decreased compared with preoperative ones (P<0.001). The JOA scores were significantly improved without obvious complications and spinal instability. Median length of follow-up was 14 months with a range of 4 months to 20 months, there is no tumor recurrence and spinal instability. Conclusion: In the treatment of lumbar dumbbell spinal tumor, the full endoscopic transforaminal approach is a novel, safe and effective surgical procedure which removes the tumors intra-foramen and extra-foramen with less damage of spine, smaller possibility of instability and faster recovery.

Abstract
Purpose. Carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae (CRKP) has emerged as a major challenge for global healthcare systems. The objectives of this study were to determine the nosocomial spread of CRKP clones and analyse the molecular characteristics of CRKP in our hospital.Methodology. Ninety-eight non-duplicated clinical CRKP isolates were collected from March 2014-June 2015. Clinical, demographic and microbiological data of patients with CRKP were reviewed. Pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) and multi-locus sequence typing were applied to investigate the genetic relationship between the 98 isolates. Antibiotic resistance genes were identified by conventional PCR-sequencing.Results. PFGE patterns were grouped into 26 clusters. Two main PFGE clusters were identified: L (53 isolates, belonging to ST11) and N (11 isolates, belonging to ST11). The most dominant ST was ST11 (79 %, 77/98), followed by ST273 (5 %, 5/98). KPC-2 (n=82) was the predominant carbapenemase followed by OXA-48 (n=64). Fifty isolates (51 %, 50/98) harboured bla KPC-2 and bla OXA-48 simultaneously, and three of these isolates were detected with the third carbapenemase genes (bla IMP-8 or bla VIM-1).Conclusion. The clonal spread of K. pneumoniae ST11 expressing OXA-48, KPC-2 and CTX-M-14 β-lactamases was the cause of an outbreak of CRKP. To the best of our knowledge, a single strain harbouring A-, B- and D-class carbapenemase genes has not previously been identified. There is a high prevalence of plasmid-encoded KPC-2- and OXA-48-producing CRKP in our hospital; most isolates were members of ST11, which may be representative of a high-risk CRKP clone disseminating in central Taiwan.

Abstract
Purpose
An automatic text annotation system (ATAS) that can collect resources from different databases through Linked Data (LD) for automatically annotating ancient texts was developed in this study to support digital humanities research. It allows the humanists referring to resources from diverse databases when interpreting ancient texts as well as provides a friendly text annotation reader for humanists interpreting ancient text through reading. The paper aims to discuss whether the ATAS is helpful to support digital humanities research or not.
Design/methodology/approach
Based on the quasi-experimental design, the ATAS developed in this study and MARKUS semi-ATAS were compared whether the significant differences in the reading effectiveness and technology acceptance for supporting humanists interpreting ancient text of the Ming dynasty’s collections existed or not. Additionally, lag sequential analysis was also used to analyze users’ operation behaviors on the ATAS. A semi-structured in-depth interview was also applied to understand users’ opinions and perception of using the ATAS to interpret ancient texts through reading.
Findings
The experimental results reveal that the ATAS has higher reading effectiveness than MARKUS semi-ATAS, but not reaching the statistically significant difference. The technology acceptance of the ATAS is significantly higher than that of MARKUS semi-ATAS. Particularly, the function comparison of the two systems shows that the ATAS presents more perceived ease of use on the functions of term search, connection to source websites and adding annotation than MARKUS semi-ATAS. Furthermore, the reading interface of ATAS is simple and understandable and is more suitable for reading than MARKUS semi-ATAS. Among all the considered LD sources, Moedict, which is an online Chinese dictionary, was confirmed as the most helpful one.
Research limitations/implications
This study adopted Jieba Chinese parser to perform the word segmentation process based on a parser lexicon for the Chinese ancient texts of the Ming dynasty’s collections. The accuracy of word segmentation to a lexicon-based Chinese parser is limited due to ignoring the grammar and semantics of ancient texts. Moreover, the original parser lexicon used in Jieba Chinese parser only contains the modern words. This will reduce the accuracy of word segmentation for Chinese ancient texts. The two limitations that affect Jieba Chinese parser to correctly perform the word segmentation process for Chinese ancient texts will significantly affect the effectiveness of using ATAS to support digital humanities research. This study thus proposed a practicable scheme by adding new terms into the parser lexicon based on humanists’ self-judgment to improve the accuracy of word segmentation of Jieba Chinese parser.
Practical implications
Although some digital humanities platforms have been successfully developed to support digital humanities research for humanists, most of them have still not provided a friendly digital reading environment to support humanists on interpreting texts. For this reason, this study developed an ATAS that can automatically retrieve LD sources from different databases on the Internet to supply rich annotation information on reading texts to help humanists interpret texts. This study brings digital humanities research to a new ground.
Originality/value
This study proposed a novel ATAS that can automatically annotate useful information on an ancient text to increase the readability of the ancient text based on LD sources from different databases, thus helping humanists obtain a deeper and broader understanding in the ancient text. Currently, there is no this kind of tool developed for humanists to support digital humanities research.

Abstract
Purpose
Developing attention-aware systems and interfaces based on eye tracking technology could revolutionize mainstream human–computer interaction to make the interaction between human beings and computers more intuitive, effective and immersive than can be achieved traditionally using a computer mouse. This paper aims to propose an eye-controlled interactive reading system (ECIRS) that uses human eyes instead of the traditional mouse to control digital text to support screen-based digital reading.
Design/methodology/approach
This study uses a quasi-experimental design to examine the effects of an experimental group and a control group of learners who, respectively, used the ECIRS and a mouse-controlled interactive reading system (MCIRS) to conduct their reading of two types of English-language text online – pure text and Q&A-type articles on reading comprehension, cognitive load, technology acceptance, and reading behavioural characteristics. Additionally, the effects of learners with field-independent (FI) and field-dependence (FD) cognitive styles who, respectively, used the ECIRS and MCIRS to conduct their reading of two types of English-language text online – pure text and Q&A-type articles on reading comprehension are also examined.
Findings
Analytical results reveal that the reading comprehension of learners in the experimental group significantly exceeded those in the control group for the Q&A article, but the difference was insignificant for the pure text article. Moreover, the ECIRS improved the reading comprehension of field-independent learners more than it did that of field-dependent learners. Moreover, neither the cognitive loads of the two groups nor their acceptance of the technology differed significantly, whereas the reading time of the experimental group significantly exceeded that of the control group. Interestingly, for all articles, the control group of learners read mostly from top to bottom without repetition, whereas most of the learners in the experimental group read most paragraphs more than once. Clearly, the proposed ECIRS supports deeper digital reading than does the MCIRS.
Originality/value
This study proposes an emerging ECIRS that can automatically provide supplementary information to a reader and control a reading text based on a reader’s eye movement to replace the widely used mouse-controlled reading system on a computer screen to effectively support digital reading for English language learning. The implications of this study are that the highly interactive reading patterns of digital text with ECIRS support increase motivation and willingness to learn while giving learners a more intuitive and natural reading experience as well as reading an article online with ECIRS support guides learners’ attention in deeper digital reading than does the MCIRS because of simultaneously integrating perceptual and cognitive processes of selection, awareness and control based on human eye movement.

Abstract
Surface metallization of polyimide (PI) is the key process for the preparation of flexible printed circuit boards (FPCBs). To meet the miniaturization demand, the ultrathinness of FPCB by the removal of the intermediate adhesive layer is imperative. The common adhesiveless process relies on the surface activation of hydrophobic PI through alkaline hydrolysis to generate the hydrophilic carboxylate anion sites for the metallic deposition. However, the alkaline hydrolysis process involves the imide ring cleavage caused by the attack of a strong nucleophile (OH-), resulting in mechanical destruction and surface coarseness of PI. In this study, a new PI is synthesized with the grafting of carboxylic acid groups as the active sites to intrinsically activate PI for efficient metallization. The surface activation is accomplished through an acid-base neutralization reaction in a dilute alkaline environment, which can suppress the alkaline hydrolysis reaction. The attenuated total reflection Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy analysis confirms a significant reduction of the extent of the imide ring cleavage in the carboxylic acid-grafted PI films. According to the microstructural examination using transmission electron microscopy, the deposited metal film adheres firmly to the carboxylic acid-grafted PI films through an interlocking effect of a broccoli bud-shaped nanocluster layer.

Abstract
PurposeWith the rapid development of digital humanities, some digital humanities platforms have been successfully developed to support digital humanities research for humanists. However, most of them have still not provided a friendly digital reading environment and practicable social network analysis tool to support humanists on interpreting texts and exploring characters’ social network relationships. Moreover, the advancement of digitization technologies for the retrieval and use of Chinese ancient books is arising an unprecedented challenge and opportunity. For these reasons, this paper aims to present a Chinese ancient books digital humanities research platform (CABDHRP) to support historical China studies. In addition to providing digital archives, digital reading, basic search and advanced search functions for Chinese ancient books, this platform still provides two novel functions that can more effectively support digital humanities research, including an automatic text annotation system (ATAS) for interpreting texts and a character social network relationship map tool (CSNRMT) for exploring characters’ social network relationships.Design/methodology/approachThis study adopted DSpace, an open-source institutional repository system, to serve as a digital archives system for archiving scanned images, metadata, and full texts to develop the CABDHRP for supporting digital humanities (DH) research. Moreover, the ATAS developed in the CABDHRP used the Node.js framework to implement the system’s front- and back-end services, as well as application programming interfaces (APIs) provided by different databases, such as China Biographical Database (CBDB) and TGAZ, used to retrieve the useful linked data (LD) sources for interpreting ancient texts. Also, Neo4j which is an open-source graph database management system was used to implement the CSNRMT of the CABDHRP. Finally, JavaScript and jQuery were applied to develop a monitoring program embedded in the CABDHRP to record the use processes from humanists based on xAPI (experience API). To understand the research participants’ perception when interpreting the historical texts and characters’ social network relationships with the support of ATAS and CSNRMT, semi-structured interviews with 21 research participants were conducted.FindingsAn ATAS embedded in the reading interface of CABDHRP can collect resources from different databases through LD for automatically annotating ancient texts to support digital humanities research. It allows the humanists to refer to resources from diverse databases when interpreting ancient texts, as well as provides a friendly text annotation reader for humanists to interpret ancient text through reading. Additionally, the CSNRMT provided by the CABDHRP can semi-automatically identify characters’ names based on Chinese word segmentation technology and humanists’ support to confirm and analyze characters’ social network relationships from Chinese ancient books based on visualizing characters’ social networks as a knowledge graph. The CABDHRP not only can stimulate humanists to explore new viewpoints in a humanistic research, but also can promote the public to emerge the learning interest and awareness of Chinese ancient books.Originality/valueThis study proposed a novel CABDHRP that provides the advanced features, including the automatic word segmentation of Chinese text, automatic Chinese text annotation, semi-automatic character social network analysis and user behavior analysis, that are different from other existed digital humanities platforms. Currently, there is no this kind of digital humanities platform developed for humanists to support digital humanities research.

Abstract
The first total synthesis of isopalhinine A, as well as unified syntheses of palhinine A and palhinine D, were successfully accomplished by means of a biomimetic strategy that proceeds through a bioinspired 5/6/6/9 tetracyclic intermediate, which mimics the amino ketone form of palhinine D. An early-stage direct SN 2 cyclization to construct the nine-membered azonane ring minimized the transannular strain that would otherwise be increased by the twisted nature of the isotwistane skeleton. Then, a diastereoselective Diels-Alder reaction of a masked ortho-benzoquinone using the nine-membered ring as a steric shielding group furnished a functionalized 6/6/9 tricyclic skeleton and established the desired stereochemistry at the C3, C7, C12, and C15 positions in one step. A thiol-mediated acyl radical cyclization gave the bioinspired intermediate bearing three differentiated oxygen-containing functional groups, from which all three total syntheses could be completed in either two or three additional steps.

Abstract
A clinical isolate of Citrobacter freundii (JA99) obtained from a bile culture of a Taiwanese patient was found to produce a plasmid-encoded β-lactamase conferring resistance to oxyimino-cephalosporins and cephamycins. Resistance arising from production of the β-lactamase could be transferred by conjugation with an IncW plasmid (pJA99) into Escherichia coli J53. The substrate and inhibition profiles of this enzyme resembled that of an AmpC β-lactamase. The resistance gene of pJA99, cloned and expressed in E. coli DH5α, was shown to contain an open reading frame showing 92% amino acid identity with the plasmid-encoded enzyme CFE-1 of E. coli KU6400. DNA sequence analysis also identified a gene upstream of ampC in pJA99 whose sequence was 95.0% identical to the ampR gene from E. coli KU6400. In addition, orf1, the fumarate operon (frdABCD), blc, lolB and repB surrounding the ampR-ampC genes in C. freundii were identified. This DNA fragment was absent in other Citrobacter spp. Therefore, we describe a new plasmid-encoded AmpC β-lactamase, named CFE-2. This study highlights the emergence of broad-spectrum cephalosporin resistance in C. freundii owing to a new type of AmpC β-lactamase.

Abstract
Titanium (Ti) has high potential in many practical applications such as biomedicine, architecture, aviation, and energy. In this study, we demonstrate an innovative application of dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) based on Ti photoanodes that can be integrated into the roof engineering of large-scale architectures. A chromatic Ti foil produced by anodizing oxidation (coloring) technology is an attractive roof material for large-scale architecture, showing a colorful appearance due to the formation of a reflective TiO2 thin layer on both surfaces of Ti. The DSSC is fabricated on the backside of the chromatic Ti foil using the Ti foil as the working electrode, and this roof-DSSC hybrid configuration can be designed as an energy harvesting device for indoor artificial lighting. Our results show that the facet-textured TiO2 layer on the chromatic Ti foil not only improves the optical reflectance for better light utilization but also effectively suppresses the charge recombination for better electron collection. The power conversion efficiency of the roof-DSSC hybrid system is improved by 30-40% with a main contribution from an improvement of short-circuit current density under standard 1 sun and dim-light (600-1000 lx) illumination.

Abstract
Since their introduction, dye-sensitized solar cells (DSCs) have achieved huge success at a laboratory level. Recently, research is concentrated to visualize large DSC modules at the commercial platform. In that aspect, we have tested structurally simple porphyrin-based dye SK6 and anthracene-based dye CW10 for DSCs application under simulated 1 sun (AM 1.5G) and indoor light sources. These two dyes can be easily synthesized and yet are efficient with cell performances of ca. 5.42% and ca. 5.75% (without coadsorbent/additive) for SK6 and CW10, respectively, under AM 1.5G illumination. The power conversion efficiency (PCE) of SK6 reported in this work is the highest ever reported; this is achieved by optimizing the adsorption of SK6 on TiO2 photoanode using the most suitable solvent and immersion period. Cosensitization of SK6 with CW10 on TiO2 surface has boosted cell performance further and achieved PCE of ca. 6.31% under AM 1.5G illumination. Charge-transfer properties of individual and cosensitized devices at TiO2/dye/electrolyte interface were examined via electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. To understand the cell performances under ambient light conditions, we soaked individual and cosensitized devices under T5 and light-emitting diode light sources in the range of 300-6000 lx. The PCE of ca. 22.91% under T5 light (6000 lx) with JSC = 0.883 mA cm-2, VOC = 0.646 V, and FF = 0.749 was noted for the cosensitized device, which equals a power output of 426 μW cm-2. These results reveal that DSCs made of structurally simple dyes performed efficiently under both 1 sun (AM 1.5G) and indoor light conditions, which is undoubtedly a significant achievement when it comes to a choice of commercial application.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE This study evaluated the supplementary effect of higher concentrations of various disaccharides on processing yield, major physicochemical properties, and sensory attributes of Chinese-style pork jerky (CSPJ). METHODS CSPJ samples were prepared by marinating sliced ham (4 mm) with three dissaccharides, including sucrose, lactose, and maltose, at 0%, 15%, 18%, 21%, and 24%. Subsequently, the CSPJ samples were dried and roasted. The moisture content, water activity, crude protein, moisture-to-protein ratio, pH, processing yield, shear force, color, and sensory attributes of the CSPJ samples were evaluated. RESULTS The quality characteristics of CSPJ samples prepared with sucrose were more acceptable. By contrast, CSPJ samples prepared with lactose showed the lowest scores. However, the processing yield and moisture content were the highest for CSPJ samples prepared with lactose, which may be associated with improved benefits for cost reduction. Furthermore, sucrose and lactose supplementation resulted in contrasting quality characteristics; for example, CSPJ samples with sucrose and maltose supplementation had higher sensory scores for color than samples with lactose supplementation. Additionally, most quality characteristics of CSPJ samples with sucrose supplementation contrasted with those of the samples with lactose supplementation; for example, the samples with sucrose supplementation had higher scores for sensory attributes than those with lactose supplementation. CONCLUSION Sucrose supplementation up to 21% to 24% was associated with the highest overall acceptability scores (5.19 to 5.80), enhanced quality characteristics, increased processing yield, and reduced production cost.

Abstract
Purpose
Collaboratively annotating digital texts allow users to add valued information, share ideas and create knowledge. Most importantly, annotated content can help users obtain a deeper and broader understanding of a text compared to digital content without annotations. This work proposes a novel collaborative annotation system (CAS) with four types of multimedia annotations including text annotation, picture annotation, voice annotation and video annotation which can embedded into any HTML Web pages to enable users to collaboratively add and manage annotations on these pages and provide a shared mechanism for discussing shared annotations among multiple users. By applying the CAS in a mashup on static HTML Web pages, this study aims to discuss the applications of CAS in digital curation, crowdsourcing and digital humanities to encourage existing strong relations among them.
Design/methodology/approach
This work adopted asynchronous JavaScript (Ajax) and a model-view-controller framework to implement a CAS with reading annotation tools for knowledge creating, archiving and sharing services, as well as applying the implemented CAS to support digital curation, crowdsourcing and digital humanities. A questionnaire survey method was used to investigate the ideas and satisfaction of visitors who attended a digital curation with CAS support in the item dimensions of the interactivity with displayed products, the attraction and the content absorption effect. Also, to collect qualitative data that may not be revealed by the questionnaire survey, semi-structured interviews were performed at the end of the digital curation exhibition activity. Additionally, the effects of the crowdsourcing and digital humanities with CAS support on collecting and organizing ideas and opinions for historical events and promoting humanity research outcomes were considered as future works because they all need to take a long time to investigate.
Findings
Based on the questionnaire survey, this work found that the digital curation with CAS support revealed the highest rating score in terms of the item dimension of attraction effect. The result shows applying CAS to support digital curation is practicable, novel and interesting to visitors. Additionally, this work also successfully applied the developed CAS to crowdsourcing and digital humanities so that the two research fields may be brought into a new ground.
Originality/value
Based on the CAS, this work developed a novel digital curation approach which has a high degree of satisfaction on attraction effect to visitors, an innovative crowdsourcing platform that combined with a digital archive system to efficiently gather collective intelligence to solve the difficult problems of identifying digital archive contents and a high potential digital humanity research mode that can assist humanities scholars to annotate the texts with distinct interpretation and viewpoints on an ancient map, as well as discuss with other humanities scholars to stimulate discussion on more issues.

Abstract
The quality characteristics of velvet antlers obtained from Formosan sambar deer (Cervus unicolor Swinhoi) (SDVA), harvested from 63 to 81 d during the velvet antler growth period, were evaluated by investigating the relationships between antioxidant levels; including content, activity, and content/activity ratios, and physical properties; including shear force values, color, and Ca content. The hardness of samples from base velvet antler sections increased, and that the color of these samples tended to become reddish-yellow (redder and more yellow), suggesting that the Ca content in the base section of the sample was not ossified yet. Samples from the upper sections of velvet antler showed higher superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), and glutathione peroxidase (GPX) content (3.91 to 1.50 mg/mL, 2.53 to 0.90 mg/mL, and 3.95 to 1.58 mg/mL, respectively) than did samples from the middle and base sections (p<0.05). The activity and content/activity ratios of GPX measured in the upper section were also found to be significantly greater than in the middle and base sections (p<0.05). We further observed that the content and activity of GPX was significantly and negatively correlated with Ca content, shear force values, and the content/activity ratio of this antioxidant (p<0.01). The study findings may serve as a reference index for quality evaluations of velvet antlers of Formosan sambar deer in future.

Abstract
Background: Proteus mirabilis is an opportunistic pathogen, commonly associated with complicated urinary tract infections (UTIs). UTIs caused by multidrug-resistant Proteus mirabilis have increased worldwide. Multidrug-resistance of Gram-negative enteric bacteria is usually associated with class 1 integrons. Purposes: To investigate the prevalence and characterize gene cassettes of class 1 integrons in multidrug-resistant P. mirabilis Methods: From 2006 to 2008, 314 P. mirabilis isolates from urine were collected from a regional teaching hospital. Antimicrobial resistance of the isolates was determined by disk diffusion methods. The phenotypic confirmatory test of extended-spectrum β-lactamase (ESBL) production was performed as described in the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) guideline. The genetic organization of the class 1 integron cassettes was investigated by PCR, cloning, and sequencing of the regions surrounding these genes. Results: Seventy-nine (25%, 79/314) P. mirabilis isolates were ESBL-producing and most ESBL-producing P. mirabilis were positive for blaCTX-M. Class 1 integrons were presented in 76 isolates (24.2%, 76/314), and were more frequently found in ESBL-positive (55/79, 70%) than ESBL-negative (21/235, 8.9%) P. mirabilis isolates. The most prevalence of the cassettes encoded resistance genes were aminoglycoside (aac(6’)-Ib, aacA7, aadAl, aadA2, and aadAla), trimethoprim (dfrAl and dfrA12) and chloramphenicol (catB3 and cmlA6). The most prevalent cassette of dfr12-orfF-aadA2 was found in 49 isolates. The cassette array aadB-catB3-oxa10-aadA1 was first found in P. mirabilis. The enterobacterial repetitive intergenic consensus (ERIC)-PCR fingerprinting patterns were detected in these 76 integron positive P. mirabilis isolates and belonged to 8 profiles. Conclusion: This study investigated the prevalence and characterized gene cassettes of class 1 integrons in MDR P. mirabilis isolates from urine samples. The frequency of gene cassettes in P. mirabilis were partially by clonal spread of the carriers and the results could provide information for effective antimicrobial therapy and infection control.

Abstract
Indoor utilization of emerging photovoltaics is promising; however, efficiency characterization under room lighting is challenging. We report the first round-robin interlaboratory study of performance measurement for dye-sensitized photovoltaics (cells and mini-modules) and one silicon solar cell under a fluorescent dim light. Among 15 research groups, the relative deviation in power conversion efficiency (PCE) of the samples reaches an unprecedented 152%. On the basis of the comprehensive results, the gap between photometry and radiometry measurements and the response of devices to the dim illumination are identified as critical obstacles to the correct PCE. Therefore, we use an illuminometer as a prime standard with a spectroradiometer to quantify the intensity of indoor lighting and adopt the reverse-biased current-voltage (I-V) characteristics as an indicator to qualify the I-V sampling time for dye-sensitized photovoltaics. The recommendations can brighten the prospects of emerging photovoltaics for indoor applications.

Abstract
The role of Wnt5a has been extensively explored in various aspects of development but its role in cerebellar development remains elusive. Here, for the first time we unravel the expression pattern and functional significance of Wnt5a in cerebellar development using Wnt5a−/− and Nestin-Cre mediated conditional knockout mouse models. We demonstrate that loss of Wnt5a results in cerebellar hypoplasia and depletion of GABAergic and glutamatergic neurons. Besides, Purkinje cells of the mutants displayed stunted, poorly branched dendritic arbors. Furthermore, we show that the overall reduction is due to decreased radial glial and granule neuron progenitor cell proliferation. At molecular level we provide evidence for non-canonical mode of action of Wnt5a and its regulation over genes associated with progenitor proliferation. Altogether our findings imply that Wnt5a signaling is a crucial regulator of cerebellar development and would aid in better understanding of cerebellar disease pathogenesis caused due to deregulation of Wnt signaling.

Abstract
The molecular design of pH sensor ADA is based on combining photoinduced electron transfer (PET) and intramolecular charge transfer (ICT). The fluorescent emission response against a pH value is suitable for probing acidic organelles in living cells.

Abstract
In this work, we demonstrate a novel carrier transporting combination made of tungsten trioxide (WO3) nanomaterials and Cs2CO3/PCBM buffer bilayer for the fabrication of perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Two different types of WO3, including nanoparticles and nanorods, were prepared by sol-gel process and hydrothermal method, respectively. Cs2CO3/PCBM buffer bilayer was inserted between WO3 and perovskite layers to improve charge transfer efficiency and formation of pinhole-free perovskite layer. Besides, the leakage current of the devices containing Cs2CO3/PCBM buffer bilayer was significantly suppressed. The optimized device based on WO3 nanoparticles and Cs2CO3/PCBM bilayer showed an open-circuit voltage of 0.84 V, a short-circuit current density of 20.40 mA/cm2, a fill factor of 0.61, and a power conversion efficiency of 10.49 %, which were significantly higher than those of PSCs without Cs2CO3/PCBM buffer bilayer. The results revealed that the combination of WO3 nanomaterials and Cs2CO3/PCBM bilayer provides an effective solution for improving performances of PSCs.
