Abstract
PURPOSE To investigate the effect of endovascular embolization of posterior communicating artery (Pcom) aneurysms on concomitant oculomotor nerve palsy (OMNP) and factors affecting the effect of treatment. MATERIALS AND METHODS Patients with the Pcom aneurysms concomitant with OMNP were retrospectively enrolled for endovascular treatment of the aneurysms. All patients had the endovascular management. The clinical effect, degree of OMNP, size of the aneurysm, type of treatment, subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), and time from onset to treatment were analyzed on the resolution of OMNP. RESULTS Ninety-six patients with 99 Pcom aneurysms were enrolled and treated endovascularly, with the success rate of 100%. Immediately after endovascular treatment, 75 aneurysms (75.75%) got complete occlusion, and 24 (24.24%) nearly complete occlusion. Followed up for 3-18 (mean 8.52±0.56) months, complete resolution of the OMNP was achieved in 63 patients (65.63%), partial resolution in 21 (21.88%), and non-recovery in the other 12 (12.50%). The degree of OMNP at onset, SAH, and time from onset to treatment were significantly (P<0.05) correlated with the resolution of OMNP. Univariate analysis revealed that younger age of the patient, degree of OMNP at onset, presence of subarachnoid hemorrhage, and time from disease onset to treatment were significantly (P<0.05) associated with the recovery of OMNP. Multivariate analysis revealed that the younger age, degree of OMNP at onset, and time from disease onset to treatment were significantly (P<0.05) associated with the recovery of OMNP. CONCLUSION Endovascular embolization of Pcom aneurysms concomitant with OMNP can effectively improve the OMNP symptoms, especially for patients with moderate and a shorter history of OMNP. Younger age, degree of oculomotor nerve palsy at onset, and time from onset to treatment may significantly affect recovery of oculomotor nerve palsy.

Abstract
Endothelial barrier disruption plays a key role in the pathophysiology of heat stroke (HS). Knockout of DNAJA1 (DNAJA1‑KO) is thought to be protective against HS based on a genome‑wide CRISPR‑Cas9 screen experiment. The present study aimed to illustrate the function of DNAJA1‑KO against HS in human umbilical vein endothelial cells. DNAJA1‑KO cells were infected using a lentivirus to investigate the role of DNAJA1‑KO in HS‑induced endothelial barrier disruption. It was shown that DNAJA1‑KO could ameliorate decreased cell viability and increased cell injury, according to the results of Cell Counting Kit‑8 and lactate dehydrogenase assays. Moreover, HS‑induced endothelial cell apoptosis was inhibited by DNAJA1‑KO, as indicated by Annexin V‑FITC/PI staining and cleaved‑caspase‑3 expression using flow cytometry and western blotting, respectively. Furthermore, the endothelial barrier function, as measured by transepithelial electrical resistance and FITC‑Dextran, was sustained during HS. DNAJA1‑KO was not found to have a significant effect on the expression and distribution of cell junction proteins under normal conditions without HS. However, DNAJA1‑KO could effectively protect the HS‑induced decrease in the expression and distribution of cell junction proteins, including zonula occludens‑1, claudin‑5, junctional adhesion molecule A and occludin. A total of 4,394 proteins were identified using proteomic analysis, of which 102 differentially expressed proteins (DEPs) were activated in HS‑induced wild‑type cells and inhibited by DNAJA1‑KO. DEPs were investigated by enrichment analysis, which demonstrated significant enrichment in the 'calcium signaling pathway' and associations with vascular‑barrier regulation. Furthermore, the 'myosin light‑chain kinase (MLCK)‑MLC signaling pathway' was proven to be activated by HS and inhibited by DNAJA1‑KO, as expected. Moreover, DNAJA1‑KO mice and a HS mouse model were established to demonstrate the protective effects on endothelial barrier in vivo. In conclusion, the results of the present study suggested that DNAJA1‑KO alleviates HS‑induced endothelial barrier disruption by improving thermal tolerance and suppressing the MLCK‑MLC signaling pathway.

Abstract
Objective: To report the clinical efficacy of adjuvant therapy based on pathological results following immunotherapy combined with targeted therapy and sequential curative surgical procedures in patients with initially unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma. Methods: This is a retrospective case series study. Data from 100 patients who underwent adjuvant therapy based on pathological results following immunotherapy combined with targeted therapy and sequential curative surgical procedures with long-term survival were collected from December 2018 to December 2022 at the Faculty of Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgery, First Medical Center, Chinese People's Liberation Army General Hospital. According to inclusion and exclusion criteria, 47 cases were included, among which patients who met the discontinuation criteria and maintained a drug-free tumor-free status. Thirty-nine male and eight female patients were included, with an age of (54.2±18.8)years(range:38 to 73 years) at initial diagnosis. At the time of initial diagnosis, 43 cases (91.5%) were classified as Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer(BCLC) stage C. Survival curves were made using Kaplan Meier method. Results: Forty-seven patients underwent R0 resection, all achieved a drug-free tumor-free state through postoperative adjuvant therapy based on pathological examination results. Thirty-six patients(76.6%) maintained a drug-free tumor-free survival status for more than 6 months,28 patients(59.6%) for more than 12 months,and 8 patients(17.0%) for more than 24 months. The longest drug-free tumor-free survival in this cohort reached 48 months. The median follow-up time in this study was 32 months. After diagnosis, the overall survival rates at 1- and 3- years were 97.7%(95%CI:93.4% to 100%) and 90.7%(95%CI:82.5% to 99.8%). The postoperative recurrence-free survival rates at 1- and 3- years were 91.0%(95%CI:83.0% to 99.8%) and 71.3%(95%CI:58.7% to 86.5%). Conclusions: The adjuvant therapy based on pathological results following immunotherapy combined with targeted therapy and sequential curative surgical approach provides long-term survival benefits for patients with initially unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma. Standardized adjuvant therapy maybe sustain long-term tumor-free status,and achieve drug-free tumor-free survival.

Abstract
Sigma-1 receptor (S1R) is a unique multi-tasking chaperone protein in the endoplasmic reticulum. Since S1R agonists exhibit potent antidepressant-like activity, S1R has become a novel target for antidepression therapy. With a rapid and sustained antidepressant effect, ketamine may also interact with S1R. In this study, we investigated whether the antidepressant action of ketamine was related to S1R activation. Depression state was evaluated in the tail suspension test (TST) and a chronic corticosterone (CORT) procedure was used to induce despair-like behavior in mice. The neuronal activities and structural changes of pyramidal neurons in medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC) were assessed using fiber-optic recording and immunofluorescence staining, respectively. We showed that pharmacological manipulation of S1R modulated ketamine-induced behavioral effect. Furthermore, pretreatment with an S1R antagonist BD1047 (3 mg·kg-1·d-1, i.p., for 3 consecutive days) significantly weakened the structural and functional restoration of pyramidal neuron in mPFC caused by ketamine (10 mg·kg-1, i.p., once). Ketamine indirectly triggered the activation of S1R and subsequently increased the level of BDNF. Pretreatment with an S1R agonist SA4503 (1 mg·kg-1·d-1, i.p., for 3 consecutive days) enhanced the sustained antidepressant effect of ketamine, which was eliminated by knockdown of BDNF in mPFC. These results reveal a critical role of S1R in the sustained antidepressant effect of ketamine, and suggest that a combination of ketamine and S1R agonists may be more beneficial for depression patients.

Abstract
Photothermal therapy (PTT) of nanomaterials is an emerging novel therapeutic strategy for breast cancer. However, there exists an urgent need for appropriate strategies to enhance the antitumor efficacy of PTT and minimize damage to surrounding normal tissues. Piezo1 might be a promising novel photothermal therapeutic target for breast cancer. This study aims to explore the potential role of Piezo1 activation in the hyperthermia therapy of breast cancer cells and investigate the underlying mechanisms. Results showed that the specific agonist of Piezo1 ion channel (Yoda1) aggravated the cell death of breast cancer cells triggered by heat stress in vitro. Reactive oxygen species (ROS) production was significantly increased following heat stress, and Yoda1 exacerbated the rise in ROS release. GSK2795039, an inhibitor of NADPH oxidase 2 (NOX2), reversed the Yoda1-mediated aggravation of cellular injury and ROS generation after heat stress. The in vivo experiments demonstrate the well photothermal conversion efficiency of TiCN under the 1,064 nm laser irradiation, and Yoda1 increases the sensitivity of breast tumors to PTT in the presence of TiCN. Our study reveals that Piezo1 activation might serve as a photothermal sensitizer for PTT, which may develop as a promising therapeutic strategy for breast cancer.

Abstract
Heritable pulmonary arterial hypertension (HPAH) is a rare type of pulmonary arterial hypertension that often presents with progressive exertional dyspnea and for which there is no significant effective drug. A HPAH patient was admitted to our hospital more than three years ago, and the gene mutation was bone morphogenetic protein 2 (BMPR2). For the first 45 months, she was given oral imatinib 100 mg once daily, and her symptoms and hemodynamics improved significantly, with no apparent side effects. It is reported that, in combination with the characteristics of the case and related literatures, it provides clinicians with other feasible treatment options for HPAH.

Abstract
Two new (1 and 2) meroterpenoids were isolated from the bark of Cinnamomum cassia. Their structures were determined by spectroscopic analyses and chemical methods. Antioxidant activities of 1 and 2 were evaluated by the ORAC and DPPH radical scavenging assays, and the results revealed that compound 2 displayed oxygen radical absorbance capacity. The discovery of compounds 1 and 2 added new members of this kind of natural product.

Abstract
Electrocatalytic water splitting powered by sustainable electricity is a crucial approach for the development of new generation green hydrogen technology. Biomass materials are abundant and renewable, and the application of catalysis can increase the value of some biomass waste and turn waste into fortune. Converting economical and resource-rich biomass into carbon-based multicomponent integrated catalysts (MICs) has been considered as one of the most promising ways to obtain inexpensive, renewable and sustainable electrocatalysts in recent years. In this review, recent advances in biomass-derived carbon-based MICs towards electrocatalytic water splitting are summarized, and the existing issues and key aspects in the development of these electrocatalysts are also discussed and prospected. The application of biomass-derived carbon-based materials will bring some new opportunities in the fields of energy, environment, and catalysis, as well as promote the commercialization of new nanocatalysts in the near future.

Abstract
A systematic quantum-chemical study of the hydrogenation of ethene, catalyzed by strong acids HX (X = F, Cl, Br) and superacids HA (A = MgX3, Mg2X5; X = F, Cl, Br) arising from octet superhalogens is explored. Two possible paths are proposed, concerted and stepwise, and the calculated results show that the concerted path is more favorable than the stepwise path. Compared to the hydrogenation reaction without any catalyst, the improvement of the catalytic efficiency of the superacid HA (A = MgX3, Mg2X5) is high, up to 38.8 to 59.4%. Compared to the strong acid HX (X = F, Cl, Br), the barrier energy is significantly reduced and the improvement of the catalytic efficiency of the superacid HA reaches 23.1 to 31.7%. In particular, for HMg2Br5, the barrier energy of the hydrogenation of ethene is only 36 kcal mol-1, which shows that the reaction could proceed under experimental conditions. In addition, the results show that the catalytic efficiency of the superacid HA is related to the acidity of the superacid. In general, the greater the acidity, the lower the barrier energy and the easier the hydrogenation reaction. From the analysis of the bond order, the newly formed C-H bond of the transition state (TS3) in the concerted path, in which the H atom comes from the superacid catalyst, directly affects the barrier energy of the entire reaction. For the more acidic catalyst, this H atom is provided more easily, and then the formed C-H bond in the transition state is stronger. Consequently, this stronger bond leads to a more stable transition state, and hence to a lower energy barrier as well as a higher efficiency of the superacid catalyst. Therefore, a positive correlation between the acidity of the metal-free catalyst and its catalytic efficiency is expected in the hydrogenation reaction.

Abstract
This randomized, double-blind phase 2 study assessed the efficacy and safety of sacubitril/allisartan, an angiotensin receptor neprilysin inhibitor, compared with placebo in Chinese patients with mild to moderate hypertension. Eligible patients aged 18-75 years (n = 235) with mild to moderate hypertension were randomized to receive sacubitril/allisartan 120 mg (n = 52), sacubitril/allisartan 240 mg (n = 52), sacubitril/allisartan 480 mg (n = 52), placebo (n = 26) or olmesartan 20 mg (n = 53) once daily for 8 weeks. The primary end point was a reduction in clinic systolic blood pressure from baseline with different doses of sacubitril/allisartan versus placebo at 8 weeks. Secondary efficacy variables included clinic diastolic blood pressure and 24-h ambulatory blood pressure for the comparison between sacubitril/allisartan and placebo at 8 weeks. Safety assessments included all adverse events and serious adverse events. Sacubitril/allisartan 480 mg/day provided a significantly greater reduction in clinic systolic blood pressure than placebo at 8 weeks (between-treatment difference: -9.1 mmHg [95% confidence interval -1.6 to -16.6 mmHg], P = 0.02). There were also significant reductions in 24-h, daytime and nighttime systolic and diastolic blood pressure for sacubitril/allisartan 480 mg/day compared with placebo (P ≤ 0.03). Similarly, a greater reduction in daytime systolic blood pressure was observed for sacubitril/allisartan 240 mg/day compared with placebo (between-treatment difference: -7.3 mmHg [95% confidence interval -0.5 to -14.0 mmHg], P = 0.04). Sacubitril/allisartan was well tolerated, and no cases of angioedema were reported. Sacubitril/allisartan is effective for the treatment of hypertension in Chinese patients and is well tolerated.

Abstract
Introduction: Intracerebral microglia play a vital role in mediating central immune response, neuronal repair and synaptic pruning, but its precise role and mechanism in fast action of antidepressants have remained unknown. In this study, we identified that the microglia contributed to the rapid action of antidepressants ketamine and YL-0919. Methods: The depletion of microglia was achieved with the diet containing the colony-stimulating factor 1 receptor (CSF1R) inhibitor PLX5622 in mice. The tail suspension test (TST), forced swimming test (FST) and novelty suppressed feeding test (NSFT) were employed to evaluate the rapid acting antidepressant behavior of ketamine and YL-0919 in the microglia depletion model. The number of microglia in the prefrontal cortex (PFC) was assayed by the immunofluorescence staining. The expressions of synaptic proteins (synapsin-1, PSD-95, GluA1) and brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) in the PFC were tested by Western blot. Results: The immobility duration in FST and the latency to feed in NSFT were shortened 24 h after an intraperitoneal (i.p.) injection of ketamine (10 mg/kg). The microglial depletion of PLX3397 blocked the rapid antidepressant-like effect of ketamine in mice. In addition, the immobility time in TST and FST as well as latency to feed in NSFT were reduced 24 h after the intragastric (i.g.) administration of YL-0919 (2.5 mg/kg), and the rapid antidepressant effect of YL-0919 was also blocked by the microglial depletion using PLX5622. About 92% of microglia in the prefrontal cortex was depleted in PLX5622 diet-fed mice, while both ketamine and YL-0919 promoted proliferation on the remaining microglia. YL-0919 significantly increased the protein expressions of synapsin-1, PSD-95, GluA1 and BDNF in the PFC, all of which could be blocked by PLX5622. Conclusion: These results suggested the microglia underlying the rapid antidepressant-like effect of ketamine and YL-0919, and microglia would likely constitute in the rapid enhancing impact of synaptic plasticity in the prefrontal cortex by YL-0919.

Abstract
Objective: To explore a simple and feasible method for the isolation and purification of hepatocytes, hepatic stellate cells (HSC), and lymphocytes from mice. Methods: The cell suspension was obtained from male C57bl/6 mice by hepatic perfusion through the portal vein digestion method and then isolated and purified by discontinuous Percoll gradient centrifugation. Trypan blue exclusion was used to determine cell viability. Glycogen staining, cytokeratin 18, and transmission electron microscopy were used to identify hepatic cells. Immunofluorescence was used to detect α-smooth muscle actin combined with desmin in HSCs. Flow cytometry was used to analyze lymphocyte subsets in the liver. Results: After isolation and purification, about 2.7×10(7) hepatocytes, 5.7×10(5) HSCS, and 4.6×106 hepatic mononuclear cells were obtained from the liver of mice with a body weight of about 22g. The cell survival rate in each group was > 95%. Hepatocytes were apparent in glycogen deposited purple-red granules and cytokeratin 18. Electron microscopy showed that there were abundant organelles in hepatocytes and tight junctions between cells. HSC had expressed α-smooth muscle actin and desmin. Flow cytometry showed hepatic mononuclear cells, including lymphocyte subsets such as CD4, CD8, NKs, and NKTs. Conclusion: The hepatic perfusion through the portal vein digestion method can isolate multiple primary cells from the liver of mice at once and has the features of simplicity and efficiency.

Abstract
Introduction: Major depression disorder (MDD) is a common and potentially life-threatening mental illness; however, data on its pathogenesis and effective therapeutic measures are lacking. Pathological changes in astrocytes play a pivotal role in MDD. While hypidone hydrochloride (YL-0919), an independently developed antidepressant, has shown rapid action with low side effects, its underlying astrocyte-specific mechanisms remain unclear.Methods: In our study, mice were exposed to chronic restraint stress (CRS) for 14 days or concomitantly administered YL-0919/fluoxetine. Behavioral tests were applied to evaluate the depression model; immunofluorescence and immunohistochemistry staining were used to explore morphological changes in astrocytes; astrocyte-specific RNA sequencing (RNA-Seq) analysis was performed to capture transcriptome wide alterations; and ATP and oxygen consumption rate (OCR) levels of primary astrocytes were measured, followed by YL-0919 incubation to appraise the alteration of energy metabolism and mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS).Results: YL-0919 alleviated CRS-induced depressive-like behaviors faster than fluoxetine and attenuated the number and morphologic deficits in the astrocytes of depressed mice. The changes of gene expression profile in astrocytes after CRS were partially reversed by YL-0919. Moreover, YL-0919 improved astrocyte energy metabolism and mitochondrial OXPHOS in astrocytes.Conclusion: Our results provide evidence that YL-0919 exerted a faster-onset antidepressant effect on CRS-mice possibly via astrocyte structural remodeling and mitochondria functional restoration.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Understanding the relationship between human evolution and environmental changes is the key to lifting the veil on human origin. The hypothesis that environmental changes triggered the divergence of humans from apes (ca. 9.3-6.5 million years ago, Ma) has been poorly tested because of limited continuous environmental data from fossil localities. Lufengpithecus (12.5-6.0 Ma) found on the southeastern margin of the Tibetan Plateau (SEMTP) across the ape-human split provides a good chance for testing this hypothesis. RESULTS Here, we reconstructed the habitats of L. keiyuanensis (12.5-11.6 Ma) with comprehensive vegetation, climate, and potential food web data by palaeobotanical evidence, together with other multidisciplinary data and partly tested the environment-driven hypothesis by revealing the living conditions of Lufengpithecus. CONCLUSION A detailed comparison of hominoids on different continents reveals their behaviour and fate divergence across the ape-human split against the background of global climate change, i.e., the stable living conditions of SEMTP not only provided a so-called 'refuge' for arboreal Lufengpithecus but also acted as a 'double-edged sword', preventing their further evolution while vegetation shifts in East Africa probably stimulated the emergence of human bipedalism, and the intense climatic changes in Europe possibly prevented those hominoids from surviving that time interval. Our findings provide interesting insight into the environmental impacts on the behavioural evolution of hominoids.

Abstract
Microvascular invasion (MVI) is an independent predictor of early recurrence and poor prognosis following hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) resection and transplantation. As a novel non-invasive diagnostic tool, radiomics can extract the quantitative imaging features of tumors and peritumoral tissues with high throughput, providing more information on tumor heterogeneity than conventional and functional imaging of visual analysis and having a good application prospect in predicting the presence of MVI in HCC patients, thereby improving the accuracy of HCC diagnosis and prognosis. The value of the multimodal radiomics method based on various imaging methods in evaluating the possibility of MVI in HCC patients is elucidated here in combination with the latest research progress.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The diagnostic effectiveness of traditional imaging techniques is insufficient to assess the response of lymph nodes (LNs) to neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC), especially for pathological complete response (pCR). A radiomics model based on computed tomography (CT) could be helpful. PATIENTS AND METHODS Prospective consecutive breast cancer patients with positive axillary LNs initially were enrolled, who received NAC prior to surgery. Chest contrast-enhanced thin-slice CT scan was performed both before and after the NAC (recorded as the first and the second CT respectively), and on both of them, the target metastatic axillary LN was identified and demarcated layer by layer. Using pyradiomics-based software that was independently created, radiomics features were retrieved. A pairwise machine learning workflow based on Sklearn (https://scikit-learn.org/) and FeAture Explorer was created to increase diagnostic effectiveness. An effective pairwise auto encoder model was developed by the improvement of data normalization, dimensionality reduction, and features screening scheme as well as the comparison of the prediction effectiveness of the various classifiers. RESULTS A total of 138 patients were enrolled, and 77 (58.7%) in the overall group achieved pCR of LN after NAC. Nine radiomics features were finally chosen for modeling. The AUCs of the training group, validation group, and test group were 0.944 (0.919-0.965), 0.962 (0.937-0.985), and 1.000 (1.000-1.000), respectively, and the corresponding accuracies were 0.891, 0.912, and 1.000. CONCLUSION The pCR of axillary LNs in breast cancer following NAC can be precisely predicted using thin-sliced enhanced chest CT-based radiomics.

Abstract
Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) exert pivotal roles in suppressing immune rejection in organ transplantation. However, the function of BMSCs on immune rejection in renal transplantation remains unclear. This study aimed to evaluate the effect and underlying mechanism of BMSCs on immune rejection in renal transplantation. Following the establishment of the renal allograft mouse model, the isolated primary BMSCs were injected intravenously into the recipient mice. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, flow cytometry, hematoxylin-eosin staining, and Western blot assays were conducted to investigate BMSCs' function in vivo and in vitro. Mechanistically, the underlying mechanism of BMSCs on immune rejection in renal transplantation was investigated in in vivo and in vitro models. Functionally, BMSCs alleviated the immune rejection in renal transplantation mice and facilitated B cell activation and the production of IL-10+ regulatory B cells (Bregs). Furthermore, the results of mechanism studies revealed that BMSCs induced the production of IL-10+ Bregs by facilitating a proliferation-inducing ligand (APRIL) phosphorylation to enhance immunosuppression and repressed renal transplant rejection by promoting APRIL phosphorylation to induce IL-10+ Bregs. BMSCs prevent renal transplant rejection by facilitating APRIL phosphorylation to induce IL-10+ Bregs.

Abstract
Due to the indiscriminate abuse of pesticides and antibiotics has caused serious threats to the environment and human and animal bodies, the detection of antibiotics and pesticides has attracted widespread attention in recent years. Herein, a novel 2D Cd (II)-MOF, [Cd(L)0.5(1,2-bimb)] (Cd-L-1,2-bimb), [H4L = 1, 1'-ethylbiphenyl -3, 3', 5, 5'- tetracarboxylic acid, 1, 2-bimb = 1, 2-bis[(1H-imidazol-1-yl) methyl] benzene] is synthesized. Cd-L-1,2-bimb has excellent stability in different organic solvents and in the range of pH 1.1-12.5. Cd-L-1,2-bimb exhibits high selectivity, high sensitivity, and fast luminescent response to pesticides [pyrimethanil (PTH, LOD = 2.2 μM) and abamectin benzoate (AMB, LOD = 2.39 μM)] and antibiotic contaminants tetracycline (TET, LOD = 0.13 μM). Cd-L-1,2-bimb displays discriminative fluorescence when detecting AMB and PTH, and is an implication logic gate. Finally, the possible detection mechanism of Cd-L-1,2-bimb toward different pollutants is also further investigated. This MOF-based multifunctional sensor opens up new prospects for environmental monitors.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The purpose of this study was to analyze the improvement effect of clinical pharmacist intervention on renal function impairment in patients with antimicrobial-induced acute kidney injury (AKI). METHODS A total of 145 patients with AKI caused by antibiotics admitted to the ICU department were selected as the research subjects. The patients were divided into the control group (n=57) and the intervention group (n=88) according to whether there were ICU specialist clinical pharmacists involved in clinical treatment. The renal function outcome and infection control were evaluated in the two groups. RESULTS The proportion of renal function outcome in the intervention group was 88.6%, which was significantly higher than that in the control group. However, there was no statistically significant difference in infection control between the two groups. For the intervention group, the clinical pharmacists adopted three intervention methods: dose adjustment, drug replacement and CRRT treatment, respectively, according to the disease conditions of AKI patients. Among them, dose adjustment and drug replacement were the most frequently used intervention methods. In addition, the proportion of renal function outcome was higher in the group of patients who changed antibiotics and underwent CRRT, which were 93.1% and 100%, respectively. The adjusted-dose group had the highest infection control rate at 82.1%. However, there were no statistically significant differences in renal function outcomes and infection control among the three interventions. CONCLUSION Clinical pharmacists participating in the clinical treatment of patients with antimicrobial-induced AKI in ICU can effectively improve the renal function of patients.

Abstract
The biological functions of short open reading frame (sORF)-encoded micropeptides remain largely unknown. Here, we report that LINC00998, a previously annotated lncRNA, was upregulated in multiple cancer types and the sORF on LINC00998 encoded a micropeptide named SMIM30. SMIM30 was localized in the membranes of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and mitochondria. Silencing SMIM30 inhibited the proliferation of hepatoma cells in vitro and suppressed the growth of tumor xenografts and N-nitrosodiethylamine-induced hepatoma. Overexpression of the 5'UTR-sORF sequence of LINC00998, encoding wild-type SMIM30, enhanced tumor cell growth, but this was abolished when a premature stop codon was introduced into the sORF via single-base deletion. Gain- and loss-of-function studies revealed that SMIM30 peptide but not LINC00998 reduced cytosolic calcium level, increased CDK4, cyclin E2, phosphorylated-Rb and E2F1, and promoted the G1/S phase transition and cell proliferation. The effect of SMIM30 silencing was attenuated by a calcium chelator or the agonist of sarco/endoplasmic reticulum calcium ATPase (SERCA) pump. These findings suggest a novel function of micropeptide SMIM30 in promoting G1/S transition and cell proliferation by enhancing SERCA activity and reducing cytosolic calcium level.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Self-gravitation traction is 1 of the most popular treatments for lumbar disc herniation (LDH). This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of the self-gravitation traction device in the treatment of LDH and to confirm its positive treatment effect. METHODOLOGY This trial is designed as a pragmatic double-center, single-blind, and 3-arm (1:1:1 ratio) randomized controlled trial. The recruited patients with LDH will be randomly allocated to the intervention (traction weight is 40% or 60% of its body weight) or control (traction weight is 20% of its body weight) group. Traction will be completed within 6 consecutive weeks (3 times a week), with 10 minutes of traction for the first 3 weeks, 20 minutes of traction for the next 3 weeks. After the experiment is completed, we will establish an experiment-related database. The software of SPSS, version 21 (SPSS Inc. Chicago, IL) will be used for statistical analysis, and measurement data will be expressed via mean and standard deviation (mean ± SD). DISCUSSION Once the trial is completed, we will publish the study in journals in both Chinese and English to promote the dissemination and use of the results. In addition, we also plan to promote the research results at various academic conferences both domestically and internationally.

Abstract
A detailed mechanistic study of Co(III)-catalyzed C4-alkenylation of 3-acetylindole (1a) was done based on calculations at density functional theory (DFT) and correlated wave function levels. The whole catalytic cycle consists of four steps: C-H activation, olefin insertion, β-hydride elimination, and regeneration of the catalyst. The theoretical results support olefin insertion as the rate-determining step leading to the experimentally observed regioselectivity of the C4 site over the C2 site. By the analysis of three-dimensional (3D) geometries and the NCl plot, the preference for the C4 site over the C2 site could be attributed to the weaker repulsive interaction between the indole moiety and olefin in the transition states of the olefin insertion step for the former. The reliability of the theoretical mechanistic results is further confirmed through the DFT calculation of other related indole derivatives and olefin substrates.

Abstract
Abstract
Background
Left ventricular remodeling (LVR) in patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) may lead to poor prognosis in which circulating exosome miRNAs play a critical role. The aim of the present study is to identify specific exosome miRNAs for LVR in patients with STEMI.
Method
Plasma exosome miRNAs were assessed in 20 patients (90% male, mean age of 66.95±1.65 years) 3–6 months after STEMI and 24 healthy individuals (83% male, mean age of 33.2±0.93 years) by using qPCR. Of the 20 patients, 8 had post-STEMI LVR according to echocardiographic evaluation, and the others did not. Clinical biochemical data including total cholesterol, HDL-C, LDL-C, LDH and NT-pro-BNP were collected from the patients with STEMI at same time as exosome miRNAs assessment. Specific exosome miRNAs for LVR were identified by using qPCR. Correlations between the dysregulated exosome miRNAs and the clinical biochemical parameters in patients with STEMI were analyzed using spearman correlation test.
Results
Five exosome miRNAs including hsa-miR-181a-3p (p<0.05, fold change = 0.59), let-7d-3p (p=0.01, fold change = 0.51), hsa-miR-224-5p (p<0.01, fold change = 0.11), hsa-miR-23a-3p (p<0.01, fold change = 1.42) and miR-874-3p (p<0.01, fold change = 0.48) were dysregulated in the post-STEMI patients comparing with the healthy individuals. Among them, the exosome miR-181a-3p (p=0.01, fold change = 0.09) and let-7d-3p (p=0.01, fold change = 0.16) were significantly lower expressed in patients with LVR compared to those without (Figure 1). There was no significant difference in expression of the other three miRNAs between patients with and without LVR. Exosome hsa-miR-874-3p positively associated with LDH (p<0.01, r=0.50) in all the patients with STEMI. In vitro cell culture confirmed that the miR-874-3p mimics upregulated expression of apoptosis related gene BMF (p<0.05, fold change = 1.7) in cardiomyocyte. Exosome hsa-miR-23a-3p and hsa-miR-224-5p positively correlated with both HDL-C (p<0.01, r=0.61; p=0.02, r=0.50) and LDL-C (p=0.02, r=0.50; p<0.05, r=0.52) in all patients with STEMI. No correlation between the dysregulated exosome miRNAs and cholesterol or NT-ProBNP was observed (Figure 2).
Conclusions
Circulating exosome miR-181a-3p and let-7d-3p might play a potential role in LVR in patients 3–6 months after STEMI. Exosome hsa-miR-874-3p might be associated with cardiomyocyte injury. Hsa-miR-23a-3p and hsa-miR-224-5p demonstrated an activity in regulation of lipid metabolism and biosynthesis in patients with STEMI.

Abstract
This study aims to systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of Chinese medicine injections in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. Specifically, randomized controlled trial(RCT) in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis with Chinese medicine injections was retrieved from PubMed, EMbase, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, Wanfang, CNKI, VIP, and SinoMed(from inception to February 16, 2022). RevMan 5.3 and Stata 15.0 were employed for data analysis. Finally, 53 RCTs, involving 4 280 patients were included. The experimental groups involved the following injections: including Danshen Chuanxiongqin Injection, Tanshinone Ⅱ_A Sodium Sulfonate Injection, Danhong Injection, Dengzhan Xixin Injection, Gugua Extract Injection, Honghua Injection, Lugua Polypeptide Injection, Lugua Polypeptide Injection + Tanshinone Ⅱ_A Sodium Sulfonate Injection, Shuxuetong Injection, Zhengqing Fengtongning Injection, Compound Danshen Injection, and Xuebijing Injection. The results of network Meta-analysis suggest that on the combination of conventional treatment of western medicine with Chinese medicine injections can improve the efficacy on rheumatoid arthritis. However, in view of the great differences in the quality and number of studies included for different therapies, the SUCRA of Chinese medicine injections need to be further verified with high-quality multi-center, large-sample, randomized double-blind trials.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the impact of the iris and ciliary body morphology on the central vault after phakic posterior chamber intraocular lens (pIOL) implantation. Methods: This research was based on the retrospective analysis of 123 patients (123 eyes) who underwent pIOL implantation in the Department of Ophthalmology, Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University between June 2018 and June 2020. The anterior segment structure was observed with an ultrasound biomicroscope before surgery, and all morphological parameters of the iris and ciliary body were measured manually using the ImageJ software, including iris span (IS), iris convexity (IC), iris-ciliary body contact distance (ICCD) and iris-lens contact distance (ILCD). The ICCD was divided into Q1, Q2 and Q3 groups according to the equidistant distance of 0.36 mm. The lens thickness was measured with the IOLMaster. The horizontal corneal diameter and anterior chamber depth were measured using the Pentacam. The central vaults were measured by optical coherence tomography at 1 week, 3 months and 1 year after surgery. The relationships between vault values and preoperative parameters of the anterior segment were evaluated using the Pearson correlation analysis, Spearman correlation analysis, and multiple linear regression. The repeated measures ANOVA was applied to identify changes of vault values over time. Results: The mean values of the vaults at 1 week, 3 months and 1 year after surgery were (723±265) μm, (642±255) μm and (613±280) μm, respectively. The difference among them was statistically significant (F=50.143, P<0.001). The vaults continued to decline within 1 year after pIOL implantation, and the total decline was (122±86) μm. The vaults declined by (69±98) μm from postoperative 1 week to 3 months and by (52±54) μm from postoperative 3 months to 1 year. The regression formula showed that the pIOL size and ILCD were positively related with the vault, while the LT, IS and IC were negatively related with the vault at 1 week postoperatively (adjusted R²=0.404, P<0.001). The pIOL size and ILCD were positively related with the vault, while the IS and IC were negatively related with the vault at 3 months postoperatively (adjusted R²=0.342, P<0.001). The pIOL size was positively related with the vault, while the IS and IC were negatively related with the vault at 1 year postoperatively (adjusted R²=0.661, P<0.001). The vault values were higher in group Q3 compared to group Q1 at every timepoint, and the vault value was higher in group Q2 compared to Q1 at 1 year postoperatively. Conclusions: In the early postoperative period, eyes with a larger pIOL, shorter iris span, longer contact distance between the iris and ciliary body, and longer contact distance between the iris and lens were associated with a higher rate of excessive vaults. Meanwhile, eyes with a thicker lens and larger iris reverse convexity were more likely to obtain insufficient vaults. Within one year after surgery, the pIOL size, IS, IC and ICCD continued to impact on the vault. The ICCD, ILCD and IC can reflect the posterior chamber volume and change the haptic location and force, thus affecting the vault.

Abstract
Metallic Mimosa pudica, a three-dimensional (3D) biomimetic structure made of metallic glass, is formed via laser patterning: Blooming, closing, and reversing of the metallic M. pudica can be controlled by an applied magnetic field or by manual reshaping. An array of laser-crystallized lines is written in a metallic glass ribbon. Changes in density and/or elastic modulus due to laser patterning result in an appropriate size mismatch between the shrunken crystalline regions and the glassy matrix. The residual stress and elastic distortion energy make the composite material to buckle within the elastic limit and to obey the minimum elastic energy criterion. This work not only provides a programming route for constructing buckling structures of metallic glasses but also provides clues for the study of materials with automatic functions desired in robotics, electronic devices, and, especially, medical devices in the field of medicine, such as vessel scaffolds and vascular filters, which require contactless expansion and contraction functions.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES To study the clinical features of severe meconium aspiration syndrome (MAS) and early predicting factors for the development of severe MAS in neonates with meconium-stained amniotic fluid (MSAF). METHODS A total of 295 neonates who were hospitalized due to Ⅲ° MSAF from January 2018 to December 2019 were enrolled as subjects. The neonates were classified to a non-MAS group (n=199), a mild/moderate MAS group (n=77), and a severe MAS group (n=19). A retrospective analysis was performed for general clinical data, blood gas parameters, infection indicators, and perinatal clinical data of the mother. The respiratory support regimens after birth were compared among the three groups. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve and multivariate logistic regression analysis were used to investigate predicting factors for the development of severe MAS in neonates with MSAF. RESULTS Among the 295 neonates with MSAF, 32.5% (96/295) experienced MAS, among whom 20% (19/96) had severe MAS. Compared with the mild/moderate MAS group and the non-MAS group, the severe MAS group had a significantly lower 5-minute Apgar score (P<0.05) and a significantly higher blood lactate level in the umbilical artery (P<0.05). Compared with the non-MAS group, the severe MAS group had a significantly higher level of interleukin-6 (IL-6) in peripheral blood at 1 hour after birth (P<0.017). In the severe MAS group, 79% (15/19) of the neonates were born inactive, among whom 13 underwent meconium suctioning, and 100% of the neonates started to receive mechanical ventilation within 24 hours. Peripheral blood IL-6 >39.02 pg/mL and white blood cell count (WBC) >30.345×109/L at 1 hour after birth were early predicting indicators for severe MAS in neonates with MSAF (P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS Meconium suctioning cannot completely prevent the onset of severe MAS in neonates with MSAF. The neonates with severe MAS may develop severe respiratory distress and require mechanical ventilation early after birth. Close monitoring of blood lactate in the umbilical artery and peripheral blood IL-6 and WBC at 1 hour after birth may help with early prediction of the development and severity of MAS.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the effect and main gaps of each stage in the AIDS prevention cascade for men who have sex with men (MSM) provided in intervention projects supported by the China AIDS Fund for non-governmental organizations (CAFNGO) and provide suggestions to improve the quality of cascade services and project management. Methods: Data were collected through the CAFNGO management information system and field interviews to analyze the differences in the number of MSM receiving HIV testing and confirming tests, the newly reported patients, and the number of antiviral treatment (ART) referrals of newly established reported patients among different social organization service areas. A service chain chart was also drawn. Results: Between 2016 and 2020, 1 508 MSM intervention projects were funded by CAFNGO, including 1 183 234 MSM being mobilized to receive HIV testing. However, only 68.8% (1 183 234/1 719 139) of the testing capacity of social organizations was covered by these projects. As a result, 55 783 HIV-positive MSM were detected in preliminary screening, and only 86.6% (48 327/55 783) received confirming tests. The proportion of newly reported infections was 3.8% (45 347/1 183 234). The ratio of antiviral treatment (ART) referrals for newly reported patients between 2017 and 2020 was 89.8% (32 719/36 444). 75.8%(1 143/1 508) of total MSM intervention projects were implemented by community-based organizations (Non-registered civil affairs departments). In comparison, organizations registered in civil affairs departments took up 24.2% (365/1 508) of the total MSM intervention projects. No significant difference was noticed in the proportion of newly reported infected (3.8% and 3.8%) and the ratio of ART referrals (89.7% and 89.9%) between community-based organizations and registered organizations' projects. But these two proportions are significantly different between these two types of organizations in some areas in China. Conclusions: The AIDS prevention cascade established in CAFNGO has effectively promoted the early detection and treatment of infected MSM. However, CAFNGO needs more financial support to extend testing coverage for MSM. Meanwhile, confirmation testing for positives in preliminary screening and ART referrals needs to be improved for newly reported patients. In addition, various capacity building needs to be provided for different social organizations.

Abstract
Multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) are currently widely used and are expected to be used as drug carriers and contrast agents in clinical practice. Previous studies mainly focused on their lung toxicity; therefore, their effects on the vascular endothelium are unclear. In this study, a human angiogenesis array was used to determine the effect of MWCNTs on the expression profile of angiogenic factors in endothelial cells and to clarify the role of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in MWCNT-induced endothelial cell injury at the cellular and animal levels. The results indicated that MWCNTs (20-30 nm and 30-50 nm) could enter endothelial cells and disrupt human umbilical vein endothelial cell (HUVECs) activity in a concentration-dependent manner. MWCNTs disrupted the tube formation ability and cell migration function of HUVECs. The results from a Matrigel Plug experiment in mice showed that angiogenesis in the MWCNT experimental group was significantly reduced. The results of a protein chip analysis indicated that VEGF expression in the MWCNT treatment group was decreased, a finding that was validated by ELISA results. The protein expression levels of AKT and eNOS in the MWCNT treatment group were significantly decreased; the administration of recombinant VEGF significantly alleviated the migration ability and tube formation ability of endothelial cells injured by MWCNTs, upregulated the protein expression of AKT and eNOS, and increased the number of neovascularization in mice in the MWCNT treatment group. This study demonstrated that MWCNTs affect angiogenesis via the VEGF-Akt-eNOS axis which can be rescued by VEGF endothelial treatment.

Abstract
Purpose The aim of this study was to identify the efficacy of diffusion kurtosis imaging (DKI) in tracking and monitoring the dynamic change of parotid glands (PGs), submandibular glands (SMGs), sublingual glands (SLGs), and acute xerostomia in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) patients treated with induction chemotherapy (IC) plus concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT). Methods The prospective study recruited 42 participants treated with IC+CCRT. All patients underwent DKI scanning six times: before IC, before RT, in the middle of the RT course, immediately after RT, and 1 and 3 months post-RT. Mean diffusion coefficient (MD) and mean kurtosis (MK) of PG, SMG, SLG, saliva flow rate measured under resting (uSFR) and stimulated condition (sSFR), and xerostomia questionnaire (XQ) scores were recorded. Results At each time point, sSFR was significantly higher than uSFR (p < 0.05 for all). MD of the salivary glands and XQ scores increased over time while MK, uSFR, and sSFR decreased. After IC, the significant differences were detected in MD and MK of bilateral SMG and MK of the left SLG (p < 0.05 for all), but not in MD and MK of PG, uSFR, sSFR, and XQ scores. After RT, sSFR at 1m-RT decreased significantly (p = 0.03) while no significant differences were detected in uSFR and XQ scores. Moderate-strong correlations were detected in ΔMD-PG-R%, ΔMK-PG-R%, ΔMD-PG-L%, ΔMK-PG-L%, ΔMD-SMG-R%, ΔMK-SMG-R%, ΔMD-SMG-L%, ΔMK-SMG-L%, and ΔMD-SLG-R%, with correlation coefficients (p < 0.05 for all) ranging from 0.401 to 0.714. ΔuSFR% was correlated with ΔMD-SMG% (p = 0.01, r = -0.39), ΔMD-SLG% (p < 0.001, r = -0.532), and ΔMK-SMG% (p < 0.001, r = -0.493). ΔsSFR% correlated with ΔMD-PG% (p = 0.001, r = -0.509), ΔMD-SMG% (p = 0.015, r = -0.221), and ΔMK-PG% (p < 0.001, r = 0.524). ΔXQ% was only correlated with ΔMK-PG% (p = 0.004, r = 0.433). Conclusion DKI is a promising tool for tracking and monitoring the acute damage of PG, SMG, and SLG induced by IC+CCRT in NPC patients.

Abstract
A systematic theoretical study is performed on a group of 16 square antiprism dysprosium single-ion magnets. Based on ab initio calculations, the quantum tunneling of magnetization (QTM) time, i.e., τQTM, and effective barrier of magnetic reversal, Ueff, are theoretically predicted. The theoretical τQTM is able to identify the ones with the longest QTM time with small numerical deviations. Similar results occur with respect to Ueff too. The systems possessing the best single-molecule magnet (SMM) properties here are just the ones having both the longest τQTM and the highest Ueff, from either experiment or theory. Thus, our results suggest the coexistence of long τQTM and high Ueff to be a criterion for high-performance SMMs. Although having its own limits, this criterion is easy to be applied in a large number of systems since both τQTM and Ueff could be predicted by theory with satisfactory efficiency and reliability. Therefore, this concise criterion could provide screened candidates for high-performance SMMs quickly and, hence, ease the burden of further exploration aiming for a higher degree of precision. This screening is important since the further exploration could easily demand tens or even hundreds of ab initio calculations for a single SMM. A semi-quantitative crystal field (CF) analysis is performed and shown here to be capable of indicating the general trends in a more chemically intuitive way. This analysis could help to identify the most important coordinating atoms for both diagonal and non-diagonal CF components. Thus, it could give some direct clues for improving the SMM properties: reducing the distance of the axial atom to the central ion, rotating the axial atom closer to the easy axis or increasing the amount of its negative charge. Correspondingly, opposite operations on the equatorial atom could give the same result.

Abstract
A systematic density functional theory study, including 17 exchange-correlation functionals, was performed on 22 composite structures consisting of organic molecules, e.g., ethylene, ethane, and benzene, and superhalogen substitutions arising from [MgX3]- and [Mg2X5]- (X = F, Cl). Range-separated hybrid functionals ωB97M-V, ωB97X-D3(BJ), ωB97XD, ωB97X, and CAM-B3LYP, as well as double-hybrid functionals B2PLYP and DSD-PBEP86-D3(BJ), are verified to provide reliable results with accuracy approaching that at the coupled-cluster single double triple [CCSD(T)] level. The basis set effect of density functional theory calculation is usually moderate, and triple-ξ quality, e.g., Def2-TZVP, is enough in most cases. In addition, the average values from HF and MP2 method, indicated as (MP2 + HF)/2, are also quite close to those of CCSD(T).

Abstract
A stable luminescent Cd-MOF, formulated as [Cd(L)0.5(4, 4'-bpy)0.5]·H2O (1), (H4L = 1, 1'-ethylbiphenyl -3, 3', 5, 5'- tetracarboxylic acid, 4, 4' -bpy = 4, 4'-bipyridine), is acquired under solvothermal conditions. 1 exhibits stability in the pH range from 1.5 to 12.2 and in different organic solvents. 1 can detect tetracycline and nitrobenzene by fluorescence quenching with high sensitivity and selectivity. The detection limits are 0.14 μM and 14 nM, respectively. Interestingly, 1 can encapsulate Tb3+ and sensitize its characteristic peaks. Moreover, the fluorescent ink is prepared by using the luminescent properties of the Tb3+@Cd-MOF. The light of the fluorescent ink disappears in an acid gas HCl atmosphere and then reappears in an alkaline gas ammonia atmosphere. This phenomenon can be repeated and the reason for this phenomenon is also explained in the article. Therefore, Tb3+@Cd-MOF has huge application potential in information encryption.

Abstract
Epigenetic regulation of gene expression has been implicated in the development of chronic pain. However, little is known about whether this regulation is involved in the development and treatment of chronic pain comorbidities such as fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS) and temporomandibular disorder (TMD), a comorbidity predominantly occurring among women. Here we explored the impact of the histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitor suberoylanilide hydroxamic acid (SAHA) on somatic hyperalgesia induced by stress or stress combined with orofacial inflammation, which mimicked the comorbidity of FMS and TMD in rats. Our data showed that somatic thermal hyperalgesia and mechanical allodynia induced by both conditions were completely prevented by intrathecal injection of SAHA, which upregulated 5-HT2C receptors but downregulated 5-HT3 receptors in the spinal dorsal horn. Subsequent spinal administration of RS102221 to inhibit 5-HT2C receptors or SR57227 to activate 5-HT3 receptors reversed the analgesic effect of SAHA under both conditions. These results indicate that SAHA attenuates the pro-nociceptive effects of stress combined with orofacial inflammation and the effects of stress alone. This likely occurs through epigenetic regulation of spinal 5-HT2C and 5-HT3 receptor expression, suggesting that SAHA has potential therapeutic value in FMS or comorbid FMS-TMD patients with somatic hyperalgesia.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Early recurrence is the main obstacle for long-term survival of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients after curative resection. OBJECTIVE We aimed to develop a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) based signature to predict early recurrence. METHODS Using bioinformatics analysis and quantitative reverse transcription PCR (RT-qPCR), we screened for lncRNA candidates that were abnormally expressed in HCC. The expression levels of candidate lncRNAs were analyzed in HCC tissues from 160 patients who underwent curative resection, and a risk model for the prediction of recurrence within 1 year (early recurrence) of HCCs was constructed with linear support vector machine (SVM). RESULTS A lncRNA-based classifier (Clnc), which contained nine differentially expressed lncRNAs including AF339810, AK026286, BC020899, HEIH, HULC, MALAT1, PVT1, uc003fpg, and ZFAS1 was constructed. In the test set, this classifier reliably predicted early recurrence (AUC, 0.675; sensitivity, 72.0%; specificity, 63.1%) with an odds ratio of 4.390 (95% CI, 2.120-9.090). Clnc showed higher accuracy than traditional clinical features, including tumor size, portal vein tumor thrombus (PVTT) in predicting early recurrence (AUC, 0.675 vs 0.523 vs 0.541), and had much higher sensitivity than Barcelona Clinical Liver Cancer (BCLC; 72.0% vs 50.0%), albeit their AUCs were comparable (0.675 vs 0.678). Moreover, combining Clnc with BCLC significantly increased the AUC, compared with Clnc or BCLC alone in predicting early recurrence (all P< 0.05). Finally, logistic and Cox regression analysis suggested that Clnc was an independent prognostic factor and associated with the early recurrence and recurrence-free survival of HCC patients after resection, respectively (all P= 0.001). CONCLUSIONS Our lncRNA-based classifier Clnc can predict early recurrence of patients undergoing surgical resection of HCC.

Abstract
Background Functional MRI (fMRI) parameters analysis has been proven to be a promising tool of predicting therapeutic response to induction chemotherapy (IC) in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). The study was designed to identify and compare the value of fMRI parameters in predicting early response to IC in patients with NPC. Methods This prospective study enrolled fifty-six consecutively NPC patients treated with IC from January 2021 to May 2021. Conventional diffusion weighted imaging (DWI), diffusion kurtosis imaging (DKI), intravoxel incoherent motion (IVIM) and dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) protocols were performed before and after IC. Parameters maps (ADC, MD, MK, Dslow, Dfast, PF, Ktrans, Ve and Kep) of the primary tumor were calculated by the Functool post-processing software. The participants were classified as responding group (RG) and non-responding group (NRG) according to Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors 1.1. The fMRI parameters were compared before and after IC and between RG with NRG. Logistic regression analysis and ROC were performed to further identify and compare the efficacy of the parameters. Results After IC, the mean values of ADC(p < 0.001), MD(p < 0.001), Dslow(p = 0.001), PF(p = 0.030) and Ve(p = 0.003) significantly increased, while MK(p < 0.001), Dfast(p = 0.009) and Kep(p = 0.003) values decreased dramatically, while no significant difference was detected in Ktrans(p = 0.130). Compared with NRG, ADC-pre(p < 0.001), MD-pre(p < 0.001) and Dslow-pre(p = 0.002) values in RG were lower, while MK-pre(p = 0.017) values were higher. The areas under the ROC curves for the ADC-pre, MD-pre, MK-pre, Dslow-pre and PRE were 0.885, 0.855, 0.809, 0.742 and 0.912, with the optimal cutoff value of 1210 × 10− 6 mm2/s, 1010 × 10− 6 mm2/s, 832 × 10− 6, 835 × 10− 6 mm2/s and 0.799 respectively. Conclusions The pretreatment conventional DWI (ADC), DKI (MD and MK), and IVIM (Dslow) values derived from fMRI showed a promising potential in predicting the response of the primary tumor to IC in NPC patients. Abstract
Psoriasis is characterized by keratinocyte proliferation and immune cell infiltration. M2 isoform of pyruvate kinase (PKM2) was reported to have an important role in cell proliferation, which is a rate-limiting enzyme that regulates the final step of glycolysis. However, how PKM2 regulates cell metabolism and proliferation in psoriatic keratinocytes is still poorly understood. Interestingly, we found that PKM2 was highly expressed in psoriatic epidermis from patients and mouse models. PKM2 overexpression promoted keratinocyte glycolytic metabolism while knockdown inhibited keratinocyte proliferation and glycolysis. Mice lacking PKM2 specifically in keratinocytes, pharmacological inhibition of PKM2 or glycolysis inhibited keratinocyte proliferation and showed obvious remission in an imiquimod-induced psoriatic mouse model. Moreover, the inhibitor of the EGF-receptor blocked EGF-stimulated PKM2 expression and glycolysis in keratinocytes. We identify PKM2 as an upregulated gene in psoriasis. PKM2 is essential in keratinocyte over-proliferation and may represent a therapeutic target for psoriasis.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES To study the clinical features and prognosis of neonates with severe meconium aspiration syndrome (MAS) and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). METHODS A retrospective analysis was performed on the medical data of 60 neonates with severe MAS who were admitted from January 2017 to December 2019. According to the presence or absence of ARDS, they were divided into two groups: ARDS (n=45) and non-ARDS (n=15). Clinical features and prognosis were compared between the two groups. RESULTS Among the 60 neonates with severe MAS, 45 (75%) developed ARDS. Arterial blood gas analysis showed that the ARDS group had a significantly higher median oxygenation index within 1 hour after birth than the non-ARDS group (4.7 vs 2.1, P<0.05), while there was no significant difference between the two groups in white blood cell count, C-reactive protein (CRP), and interleukin-6 (IL-6) on admission and the peak values of procalcitonin, CRP, and IL-6 during hospitalization (P>0.05). The ARDS group had a significantly higher incidence rate of shock than the non-ARDS group (84% vs 47%, P<0.05). There was no significant difference between the two groups in the incidence rates of persistent pulmonary hypertension, pneumothorax, pulmonary hemorrhage, hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, intracranial hemorrhage, and disseminated intravascular coagulation (P>0.05). The ARDS group required a longer median duration of mechanical ventilation than the non-ARDS group (53 hours vs 3 hours, P<0.05). In the ARDS group, 43 neonates (96%) were cured and 2 neonates (4%) died. In the non-ARDS group, all 15 neonates (100%) were cured. CONCLUSIONS Neonates with severe MAS and ARDS tend to develop respiratory distress earlier, require a longer duration of mechanical ventilation, and have a higher incidence rate of shock. During the management of children with severe MAS, it is recommended to closely monitor oxygenation index, give timely diagnosis and treatment of ARDS, evaluate tissue perfusion, and actively prevent and treat shock. Abstract
PURPOSE To investigate the effect of endovascular embolization of posterior communicating artery (Pcom) aneurysms on concomitant oculomotor nerve palsy (OMNP) and factors affecting the effect of treatment. MATERIALS AND METHODS Patients with the Pcom aneurysms concomitant with OMNP were retrospectively enrolled for endovascular treatment of the aneurysms. All patients had the endovascular management. The clinical effect, degree of OMNP, size of the aneurysm, type of treatment, subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), and time from onset to treatment were analyzed on the resolution of OMNP. RESULTS Ninety-six patients with 99 Pcom aneurysms were enrolled and treated endovascularly, with the success rate of 100%. Immediately after endovascular treatment, 75 aneurysms (75.75%) got complete occlusion, and 24 (24.24%) nearly complete occlusion. Followed up for 3-18 (mean 8.52±0.56) months, complete resolution of the OMNP was achieved in 63 patients (65.63%), partial resolution in 21 (21.88%), and non-recovery in the other 12 (12.50%). The degree of OMNP at onset, SAH, and time from onset to treatment were significantly (P<0.05) correlated with the resolution of OMNP. Univariate analysis revealed that younger age of the patient, degree of OMNP at onset, presence of subarachnoid hemorrhage, and time from disease onset to treatment were significantly (P<0.05) associated with the recovery of OMNP. Multivariate analysis revealed that the younger age, degree of OMNP at onset, and time from disease onset to treatment were significantly (P<0.05) associated with the recovery of OMNP. CONCLUSION Endovascular embolization of Pcom aneurysms concomitant with OMNP can effectively improve the OMNP symptoms, especially for patients with moderate and a shorter history of OMNP. Younger age, degree of oculomotor nerve palsy at onset, and time from onset to treatment may significantly affect recovery of oculomotor nerve palsy.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the efficiency of left cardiac sympathetic denervation (LCSD) in inherited arrhythmia patients with adrenergic activity-induced malignant ventricular arrhythmia, and observe exercise-stress test features before and after LCSD. Methods: This retrospective observational study included catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia(CPVT) and long QT syndromes(LQTS) patients who underwent video-assisted LCSD at Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital and Peking University People's Hospital from September 2006 to May 2020. The indications for LCSD surgery were intolerant or refractory to beta-blocker medication. Clinical and exercise-stress tests data of included patients were collected before and 1 month after LCSD. Heart rate, exercise tolerance, atrial and ventricular arrhythmia, QTc interval and predictors for sudden cardiac death were analyzed. Patents were regularly followed up at 1, 3, 6, and 12 months after LCSD and then once every year thereafter. Cardiac events and medication adjustment records were collected. Results: Five patients (2 CPVT, 1 LQT1, and 2 LQT2)were included in the study. All patients experienced syncope as first symptom at the median age of 12(10, 16)years, and underwent LCSD at the median age of 21(16, 26)years, Baseline heart rate was similar before and after LCSD ((65.6±6.5) beats/min vs. (68.0±11.1) beats/min, P=0.57); while maximum workload tended to be lower after LCSD ((12.1±2.8) metabolic equivalents (METS) before surgery vs. (10.5±2.4) METS after surgery, P=0.07). Incidence of atrial and ventricular arrhythmia were significantly reduced post LCSD, and the ventricular arrhythmia score was decreased after LCSD in CPVT patients (4 points before LCSD vs. 3 points after LCSD in case 1;5 points before LCSD vs. 3 points after LCSD in case 2). QTc interval was shortened significantly in three LQTs patients (QTc interval at baseline heart rate: (546.6±72.3) ms before surgery vs. (493±61.1) ms after LCSD, P=0.047; QTc interval at maximal exercise heart rate: (516.3±73.7) ms before surgery vs. (486.7±64.2)ms after LCSD, P=0.035). Additionally, sudden cardiac death risk indicator ΔHRR1 (heart rate decreasing value within the first 1 min during recovery phase) decreased from (51.5±21.1) beats/min before surgery to (32.0±13.9) beats/min after surgery (P=0.035). During a median follow-up of 1(1, 4) year, all five patients were on low dosage of propranolol (37.0±21.7) mg/d. Cardiac events free survival was achieved in four out of 5 patients (80%) after sympathectomy, while 1 case suffered from sudden cardiac death after emotional stress. Conclusion: LCSD surgery can be safely and effectively performed in most hereditary arrhythmia patients with adrenergic activity-induced life-threatening cardiac events. Exercise stress test results show that LCSD could reduce malignant arrhythmias and improve sudden cardiac death risk indicators without decreasing heart rate.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the effect of axillary lymph node status on the prognosis of different types of invasive breast cancer. Methods: Patients with invasive breast cancer of different molecular subtypes diagnosed in the breast cancer prevention and treatment center of Beijing Cancer Hospital from January 2000 to July 2011 were collected as a historical cohort, and the influence of lymph node status on the prognosis of different types of breast cancer was analyzed. Results: A total of 4 269 female breast cancer patients with molecular subtypes [aged (50.8±11.2) years] information and 3 824 female breast cancer patients with complete axillary lymph node status information [aged (50.5±10.9) years] were included in the study, including 3 135 cases with both molecular subtypes and lymph node status information. The 10-year event free survival (EFS) rates of hormone receptor (HR)+/human epidermal growth factor receptor-2(HER2)-, HR-/HER2-and HER2+were 82.2%, 79.0% and 76.8%, respectively; the 10-year overall survival (OS) rates were 88.1%, 83.1% and 84.4%, respectively, and the differences of 3 molecular subtypes in EFS and OS were statistically significant (both P<0.001). The 10-year EFS rate of lymph node positive and negative patients was 68.8% and 88.2%, respectively; the 10-year OS rate was 76.7% and 92.5%, respectively, and the differences of lymph node status in EFS and OS were statistically significant (both P<0.001). In lymph node negative subgroup, 3 subtypes showed similar EFS and OS rate (both P>0.05); In lymph node positive subgroup, 3 subtypes showed significantly different EFS and OS (both P<0.05). No modification effect was detected of lymph node status on the correlation of molecular subtypes and EFS, DDFS and OS(all Pinteractive>0.1). Conclusions: Different molecular subtypes of breast cancer have different prognosis. Compared with molecular subtype, lymph node status may be a more important prognostic factor.

Abstract
Objective: To understand the capacity building needs on social organizations providing HIV prevention and treatment services for female sex workers (FSW). Methods: Questionnaires and interview were conducted with the heads of social organizations participating in China AIDS Fund for Non-Governmental Organizations (CAFNGO) project 2017-2018. Data from the CAFNGO's information system were compiled and analyzed using Excel 2016 and SPSS 25.0 software. The distribution of social organizations, availability of funds, and social organizations' needs for capacity building were analyzed. Results: Nationwide, 184 social organizations were involved in project '2017-2018 CAFNGO's FSW field work'. Out of which, 156 answers were valid. Social organizations that participated in the implementation of fund projects were mainly concentrated in the western region, accounting for 44.0% (81/184), with Sichuan, Guangxi, and Yunnan being the majority. However, the eastern part received the most financial support. Social organizations expressed the highest demand for project data collection and analysis, accounting for 68.6% (107/156). Items on risk analysis, response, and quality control project ranked the second, accounting for 64.1% (100/156). Results showed that statistically significant differences were seen on capacity building needs among social organization leaders with different levels of training on management of planning and finance of the project (χ2=5.78,P=0.016;χ2=8.99,P=0.003). Conclusions: Currently, the number of social organizations and the related fund provision concerning HIV prevention and control among FSWs were not consistent in China. Thus, it is necessary to encourage, guide, and support the development of social organizations and satisfy social organizations' needs on capacity-building and planning.

Abstract
The evolution of the Asian monsoon from the Late Oligocene to the Early Miocene is poorly understood. Here, we first reconstruct the precipitation data of central Tibet during 26–16 million years ago (Ma), applying the coexistence approach to sedimentary pollen data, and detect an intensified Asian monsoon with ∼1.35 Ma and ∼0.33 Ma cycles. Paleoclimate modeling is used to show the importance of paleogeographic location in the development of the paleomonsoon. In addition, the results of spectral analysis suggest that the fluctuations in the Asian monsoon during 26–16 Ma can be attributed to the long-period cyclicities in obliquity (∼1.2 Ma). These findings provide climate data that can be used to understand the Asian monsoon evolution during the Late Oligocene to Early Miocene and highlight the effects of paleogeographic patterns and long-period orbital forcings on the tectonic-scale evolution of the Asian monsoon. Abstract
Via combined ab initio and DFT calculations, 16 [Mg2(OCN)5]-1 and [Mg2(SCN)5]-1 isomers are studied to explore their potentials as superhalogens. The results of high-level OVGF calculations verify that these systems are superhalogen anions due to their high VDE values which lie within 6.74-7.04 eV and 5.73-6.27 eV for [Mg2(OCN)5]-1 and [Mg2(SCN)5]-1, respectively. The results of low-cost methods, either ab initio or DFT, are generally consistent with those of OVGF, and some of them demonstrate promising accuracy. The best performance of low-cost ab initio methods comes from (HF+MP2)/2, which represents the average value of the MP2 and HF results. In the aspect of DFT, five functionals (CAM-B3LYP, ωB97X-D3, M06, M06-2X, and B2PLYP) provide the most accurate results when compared to OVGF. Thus, these low-cost methods could be used to calculate the VDE value of the future systems of larger size. Useful information about the VDEs of [Mg2(OCN)5]-1 and [Mg2(SCN)5]-1 could be obtained from the analysis of the extra electron density and HOMO as well as spin density.
