Abstract
OBJECTIVE To describe the aponeurotic expansion of supraspinatus tendon (AEST) and biceps tendon abnormalities with magnetic resonance (MR) arthrographic examinations and determine their prevalence in patients, we performed a high-resolution 3D direct MR arthrography. MATERIALS AND METHODS This was a retrospective study of 700 shoulder MR arthrograms performed between May 2010 and January 2022. Extension in the coronal plane of an AEST on 3D fat-suppressed T1-weighted volumetric interpolated breath-hold examination (VIBE) MR arthrography was identified. Based on its morphology, the AEST on MR arthrography was divided into four subtypes: absence of tendinous thickness in the bicipital synovial surface or intra-synovial tendon-like structure in the bicipital groove, thin and flat tendinous thickness ≥1 mm of bicipital synovium, oval tendinous structure less than half the size of the adjacent biceps tendon, oval tendinous structure more than half the size of the adjacent biceps tendon, and oval tendinous structure larger than the adjacent biceps tendon. Based on its origin and termination, aponeurotic expansions can be divided into three subtypes: proximal pulley zone, middle humeral neck zone, and distal myotendinous junction zone. Association with the biceps synovium of the AEST was categorized into three types: intra-synovial, extra-synovial, and trans-synovial. RESULTS An AEST in the anterior shoulder joint in 3D VIBE MR arthrography images was identified in 63 (9%) of 700 arthrograms. The most common arthrographic type of AEST was type 1-this was detected in 39 of 63 patients. The most common course type of the AEST was anteriorly midline. The most common distal insertion type was at the tenosynovial sheath of the long head of the biceps tendon (LHBT) in the middle humeral neck zone-this was detected in 31 of 63 patients. There were only 10 MR arthrograms biceps tendon abnormality, including 4 biceps agenesis and 6 split ruptures. CONCLUSION A 2D and high-resolution 3D MR arthrography can demonstrate the anatomical detail around the bicipital groove and facilitate the differentiation between a biceps tendon anomaly and an AEST. On high-resolution 3D MR arthrographic images, the AEST tends to be in the anterior midline and anteromedial portions of the biceps synovium with intra-synovial, extra-synovial, and trans-synovial courses and its three different insertion types.

Abstract
Earthquakes are among the most destructive and unpredictable natural disasters. Various diseases and ailments, such as bone fractures, organ and soft-tissue injuries, cardiovascular diseases, lung diseases, and infectious diseases, can develop in the aftermath of severe earthquakes. Digital radiography, ultrasound, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging are significant imaging modalities utilized for the quick and reliable assessment of earthquake-related ailments to facilitate the planning of suitable therapy. This article examines the usual radiological imaging characteristics observed in individuals from quake-damaged regions and summarizes the strengths and functionality of imaging modalities. In such circumstances, where quick decision-making processes are life-saving and essential, we hope this review will be a practical reference for readers.

Abstract
PURPOSE Understanding ethmoid roof morphology is crucial to prevent complications in endoscopic sinus surgery. This study aimed to evaluate the morphological properties of the ethmoidal roof regarding gender and age differences using Keros and Yenigun classifications on high-resolution computed tomography images. METHODS We retrospectively analyzed 891 high-resolution computed tomography paranasal sinus study images and measured the depth of the cribriform plate in coronal sections and the anterior-posterior length in axial planes. The study retrospectively examined CT images of paranasal sinuses of patients living in the eastern Anatolian region of Turkey. RESULTS In both Keros and Yenigun Classifications, the most common class was type 2, and the least common class was type 3. According to Keros et al.'s method, no significant difference was observed between men and women (p = 0.698). However, according to Yenigun et al., the average values of women in terms of the anterior-posterior distance of the ethmoid roof were significantly higher than men (p = 0.001). When examined according to age, a very low, negative correlation was revealed regarding Keros and Yenigun classifications (p = 0.047 and p < 0.001 retrospectively). According to Keros and Yenigun's classification, there was no significant difference between the left and right sides (p = 0.488 and p = 0.919, respectively). CONCLUSION The morphological properties of the ethmoidal roof have importance to be considered for preoperative planning. Studying larger patient groups and meta-analyses that gather various research results about this subject might help better understand the ethmoidal roof morphology among populations.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Ileus is a pathological condition of the abdomen that presents as a medical emergency. It is characterized by potential complications such as perforation and ischemia, which can lead to significant morbidity and mortality if not promptly addressed. The successful management of ileus relies heavily on the timely and precise identification of the condition. While conventional radiography (CR) is commonly used as the primary diagnostic tool, its accuracy in identifying obstructions ranges from 46% to 80%. Furthermore, the diagnostic accuracy of identifying the location and etiology of intestinal obstruction by CR is limited, therefore making computed tomography (CT) the ideal imaging modality in this regard. AIM To determine the presence of acute bowel obstruction (BO) on abdominal CT scenogram images and the accuracy of determining its possible location, taking into account the experience of the observers. METHODS A retrospective screening was conducted on an ensemble of 46 individuals who presented to the emergency department between January 2021 and January 2022 with severe abdominal pain and were subsequently monitored for suspected ileus. The abdominal CT scans of these patients were assessed by three radiologists with varying levels of experience (1, 3, and 10 years) at different intervals (1 mo apart). The evaluation focused on determining the presence or absence of BO, as well as identifying the potential location of the obstruction (small bowel or large bowel). The study employed Kappa statistics to assess inter-observer variances, while the McNamer test was used to evaluate obstruction and segmentation discrepancies between observations. A significance level of P < 0.05 was determined to indicate statistical significance. RESULTS Out of the total sample size of 46 patients, 15 individuals (32.6%) were identified as female, while the remaining 31 individuals (67.4%) were identified as male. The ultimate diagnosis of 42 instances (91.3%) indicated ileus resulting from mechanical obstruction (MO). Among these patients, 14 (33%) experienced obstruction in the large bowel (LB), while 28 (66%) experienced obstruction in the small bowel (SB). The initial evaluation yielded sensitivity rates of 76.19%, 83.31%, and 83.33%, and diagnostic accuracy rates of 69.56%, 76.08%, and 80.43% for the detection of BO among the three observers. The initial study revealed that the average sensitivity of three observers in detecting the presence of ileus caused by MO was 80.94%, while the diagnostic accuracy was 75.35%. Based on the first evaluation, the senior observer demonstrated the highest sensitivity (85.71%), negative predictive value (92.60%), and diagnostic accuracy (80.43%) when accurately estimating the thick and thin segmentation, as per the final diagnosis. There was no statistically significant disparity observed in the sensitivities pertaining to the identification of ileus during the second assessment, as well as the precise determination of the segment level inside the LB or SB, when comparing the second and third observers. Nevertheless, although there was no statistically significant alteration in the detection rate of ileus by the first observer, there was a notable rise in the accuracy rate of segment estimating (73.91%). The senior assessor had a higher level of accuracy in assessing the existence of ileus and segmentation compared to the other evaluators in both evaluations. CONCLUSION The findings of our study indicate that the sensitivity and accuracy rates of abdominal CT scenogram scans in diagnosing acute MOs are similar to or greater than those of CR. Additionally, the study revealed that radiologists with more experience demonstrated a higher likelihood of accurately predicting the existence and potential localization of MO compared to their less experienced counterparts.

Abstract
The temporopolar artery (TPA) originates directly from the sphenoidal segment of the middle cerebral artery (MCA). Its originating from the M1 segment of the MCA as a branch of the anterior temporal artery is not uncommon. However, internal carotid artery origination is a very rare variation of the TPA. Here, we report a very rare case of the variant origin of the TPA and the presence of saccular aneurysm at this origin.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Computerized tomography (CT) has been increasingly utilized in the differential diagnosis of acute chest pain. Combining the triple rule out CT angiography (TRO-CT) approach with dual-energy CT (DECT) can enhance the diagnostic capability by identifying myocardial perfusion deficiencies. This combination can yield a quadruple-rule-out computed tomography angiography (QRO-CT) technique. The aim of this study is to determine the efficacy of the QRO-CT. METHODS Intraluminal diseases and abnormalities in the main coronary arteries and branches were investigated. The myocardial dark spots on the color-coded iodine map were identified as perfusion deficiencies. Pulmonary arteries and aorta were also evaluated. RESULTS The study population consisted of 211 patients. The sensitivity, specificity, and positive and negative predictive values of QRO-CT for pulmonary embolism were 93.5%, 100%, 100%, and 95.3%, respectively. For obstructive coronary artery disease, the values were 96.1%, 93.4%, 89.2%, and 97.7%, respectively. For myocarditis, the values were 69.2%, 100%, 100%, and 93.6%, respectively. CONCLUSIONS the QRO-CT method may successfully evaluate myocardial perfusion deficits, hence expanding the differential diagnosis capabilities of the standard TRO-CT method for myocarditis. It can provide useful information on myocardial perfusion, which may influence the choice to perform invasive catheterization in cases of coronary artery obstruction.

Background Shear-wave elastography (SWE) was used to determine normal elasticity values of palatine tonsils (PTs) in children and adolescents who did not have any health problem, and the relationship between these values and various parameters influencing this result was examined. Methods The current prospective study has been approved by the local Institutional Review Board. Our study included 122 people aged 2-18 years. SWE values for both PTs, as well as gender, age, and body mass index (BMI), were recorded. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was used to determine whether the data had a normal distribution. Numerical variables with a normal distribution are reported as mean ± standard deviation, while variables with a nonnormal distribution are reported as medians with minimum and maximum values. Numbers and percentages are used to report categorical variables. Results The study group's average age was 10.77 ± 4.35 years. The mean SWE values were 9.89 ± 2.494 kPa for the right PT and 9.57 ± 2.631 kPa for the left PT. Both PT volumes were found to be 1.6 ± 0.9 mm3. There was no significant correlation between the SWE values obtained and age, height, weight, and BMI. Tonsil dimensions show a positive correlation with age, height, weight, and BMI. Conclusion PT dimensions have a positive correlation with age, height, weight, and BMI, but not with SWE values. SWE may be a reliable diagnostic criterion independent of anthropometric values.

Abstract
Umbilical cord with a single umbilical artery (SUA) can carry twice the blood volume of a three-vessel cord (TVC). So, the normal hemodynamics of the fetuses with SUA was different from those with TVC. Furthermore, structural abnormalities, fetal aneuploidy, and intrinsic growth retardation may be associated with the presence of a SUA. In order to evaluate these patients, intermittent doppler measurements have been suggested. From this point, we aimed to determine the CDUS flow parameters in SUA cases and to demonstrate that these flow parameters are different from the TVC parameters. Ultrasound (US) examinations were performed in the 18-22 weeks of gestation during routine fetal anatomy screening. Resistance index (RI), Pulsatility index (PI), and S/D: systole to diastole ratio values were measured. The samples were taken from the proximal, mid-portion, and distal of the umbilical cord. In addition to Doppler Ultrasound values, AC and estimated fetal weight (EFW) values were also recorded. The study included 167 pregnant women, 86 of whom were study group with SUA and 81 were control group with TVC. The measurements of RI, PI, and S/D at all three levels were significantly lower in the SUA group compared to the TVC group. The resistance in the UA of fetuses with SUA is lower than in fetuses with TVC. The resistance in the UA of fetuses with SUA decreases from the fetal end to the placental end. Knowing the normal values for fetuses with SUA might provide a better and more reliable Doppler Ultrasoundassessment.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Subcutaneous fat tissue thickness (SFTT) is a representative marker of obesity. This study was performed to determine the relationship between SFTT and chondromalacia patella (CP) through routine 1.5-Tesla magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the knee. METHODS In this retrospective cross-sectional study, 440 knee MRI scans were re-examined and divided into those with and without CP. A 1.5-Tesla MRI machine with a standard knee coil was used. Prepatellar SFTT (PSFTT) and medial SFTT (MSFTT) were measured on each MRI scan. PSFTT and MSFTT were compared between patients with and without CP. RESULTS Both the PSFTT and MSFTT values were significantly higher in patients with than without CP. Women had significantly higher PSFTT and MSFTT values than men. A statistically significant correlation was found between the PSFTT and MSFTT values and the CP grades. CONCLUSIONS The results of this study indicate an association between SFTT and CP. A positive correlation was also found between SFTT and CP severity.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The data obtained on the anatomical knowledge of the tracheobronchial system can be used for diagnosis, treatment and interventional interventions in areas such as anesthesia, thoracic surgery, pulmonary physiology. AIM To determine the tracheobronchial branching angles in pediatric and adult populations by using the multislice computed tomography (CT) and minimum intensity projection (MinIP) technique, which is a non-invasive method. METHODS Our study was carried out retrospectively. Patients who underwent contrast and non-contrast CT examination, whose anatomically and pathophysiologically good tracheobronchial system and lung parenchyma images were obtained, were included in the study. Measurements were made in the coronal plane of the lung parenchyma. In the coronal plane, right main bronchus-left main bronchus angle, right upper lobe bronchus-intermedius bronchus angle, right middle lobe bronchus-right lower lobe bronchus angle, left upper lobe bronchus-left lower lobe bronchus angle were measured. RESULTS The study population consisted of 1511 patients, 753 pediatric (mean age: 13.4 ± 4.3; range: 1-18 years) and 758 adults (mean age: 54.3 ± 17.3; range: 19-94 years). In our study, tracheal bifurcation angle was found to be 73.3° ± 13.7° (59.6°-87°) in the whole population. In the pediatric group, the right-left main coronal level was found to be higher in boys compared to girls (74.6° ± 12.9° vs 71.2° ± 13.9°, P = 0.001). In the adult group, the right-left main coronal level was found to be lower in males compared to females (71.9° ± 12.9° vs 75.8° ± 14.7°, P < 0.001). CONCLUSIONS Our study, with the number of 1511 patients, is the first study in the literature with the largest number of patient populations including pediatric and adult demographic data, measuring the angle values of the tracheobronchial system using multislice CT and MinIP technique. Study data will not only be a guide during invasive procedures, but it can also guide studies to be done with imaging methods.

Abstract
(1) Background: Doxorubicin (DOX) is extensively used for cancer treatments; however, its clinical application is limited because of its cardiotoxic adverse effects. A combination of DOX and agents with cardioprotective properties is an effective strategy to ameliorate DOX-related cardiotoxicity. Polyphenolic compounds are ideal for the investigation of novel cardioprotective agents. Chlorogenic acid (CGA), an essential dietary polyphenol found in plants, has been previously reported to exert antioxidant, cardioprotective, and antiapoptotic properties. The current research evaluated CGA's in vivo cardioprotective properties in DOX-induced cardiotoxicity and the probable mechanisms underlying this protection. (2) Methods: CGA's cardioprotective properties were investigated in rats that were treated with CGA (100 mg/kg, p.o.) for fourteen days. The experimental model of cardiotoxicity was induced with a single intraperitoneal (15 mg/kg i.p.) injection of DOX on the 10th day. (3) Results: Treatment with CGA significantly improved the DOX-caused altered cardiac damage markers (LDH, CK-MB, and cTn-T), and a marked improvement in cardiac histopathological features accompanied this. DOX downregulated the expression of Nrf2/HO-1 signaling pathways, and the CGA reversed this effect. Consistently, caspase-3, an apoptotic-related marker, and dityrosine expression were suppressed, while Nrf2 and HO-1 expressions were elevated in the cardiac tissues of DOX-treated rats after treatment with the CGA. Furthermore, the recovery was confirmed by the downregulation of 8-OHdG and dityrosine (DT) expressions in immunohistochemical findings. (4) Conclusions: CGA demonstrated a considerable cardioprotective effect against DOX-induced cardiotoxicity. One of the possible mechanisms for these protective properties was the upregulation of the Nrf2/HO-1-dependent pathway and the downregulation of DT, which may ameliorate oxidative stress and cardiomyocyte apoptosis. These findings suggest that CGA may be cardioprotective, particularly in patients receiving DOX-based chemotherapy.

Abstract
Giant cell tumor is a relatively frequent benign bone tumor; that is usually exhibited in the epiphyseo-metaphyseal region of long bones. Computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging may show cortical thinning and endosteal scalloping of the bone cortex in giant cell tumors. In radiologic imaging, the giant cell tumor of the bone is a heterogeneous mass because it contains many components, such as solitary mass, cystic areas, and bleeding. The occurrence of giant cell bone tumor in the patella is a rare condition and in this letter, we have reported the unusual coexistence of giant cell tumor on the bilateral patella at the same time. To the best of our knowledge, there is no reported case in the literature of bilateral patellar giant cell tumors.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Hepatic alveolar echinococcosis (HAE) is a serious zoonotic infection that affects humans. It may have a tumor-like appearance at times. Percutaneous treatment of HAE patients is extremely relaxing for them. HAE is a significant human zoonotic infection caused by the fox tapeworm Echinococcus Multilocularis larvae. It possesses the characteristics of an invasive tumor-like lesion due to its infiltrative growth pattern and protracted incubation period. The disease is endemic over central Europe, Asia, and North America.
AIM To characterize HAE patients who were treated percutaneously, their outcomes, and the major technical features of percutaneous treatment in HAE.
METHODS Patients who were treated with percutaneous cyst drainage and/or percutaneous biliary drainage were included in the study. Uncorrected abnormal coagulation values and solid or non-infected HAE with minor necrotic change were excluded.
RESULTS Thirty-two patients underwent percutaneous cyst drainage, two patients underwent percutaneous biliary drainage, and four patients underwent percutaneous biliary drainage alone. Interventional radiology is utilized to drain echinococcal necrosis and abscesses within/without the liver, as well as diseased and clogged bile ducts.
CONCLUSION Percutaneous drainage of cyst contents and/or biliary channels using a minimally invasive technique is a very beneficial. Percutaneous cyst drainage with albendazole therapy improves quality of life in patients who are unable to undergo surgery, even when the mass resolves with long-term treatment.

Abstract
Infarcts and ischemia of abdominal organs may present with acute abdominal pain, and early diagnosis is crucial to prevent morbidity and mortality. Unfortunately, some of these patients present in poor clinical conditions to the emergency department, and imaging specialists are crucial for optimal outcomes. Although the radiological diagnosis of abdominal infarcts is often straightforward, it is vital to use the appropriate imaging modalities and correct imaging techniques for their detection. Additionally, some non-infarct-related abdominal pathologies may mimic infarcts, cause diagnostic confusion, and result in delayed diagnosis or misdiagnosis. In this article, we aimed to outline the general imaging approach, present cross-sectional imaging findings of infarcts and ischemia in several abdominal organs, including but not limited to, liver, spleen, kidneys, adrenals, omentum, and intestinal segments with relevant vascular anatomy, discuss possible differential diagnoses and emphasize important clinical/radiological clues that may assist radiologists in the diagnostic process.

Abstract
BACKGROUND This article examines primary hepatic angiosarcoma (PHA) and fat-poor angiomyolipoma (AML), two uncommon vascular cancers. Clinical decisions in these situations are frequently aided by pathology reports and imaging techniques. Uncommon malignant tumors of the vascular endothelium include PHA. Another diagnosis that should not be overlooked when employing contrast-enhanced MR and contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CT) imaging techniques is fat-poor AML, one of the uncommon vascular tumors of the liver. In both conditions, biopsy is the primary means of diagnosis.
CASE SUMMARY In our article, besides the diagnosis of PHA, fat-poor AML, one of the other rare vascular tumors of the liver, is mentioned. In the case, a 50-year-old female patient with VHL Syndrome was admitted to our hospital with nonspecific lesions such as right upper quadrant pain, weight loss, and nausea. Abdominal ultrasonography (US) revealed a hypoechoic heterogeneous lesion with occasional faint contours. In computed tomography, it was observed as a hyperdense nodular lesion in segment 4. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) revealed that the lesion did not contain fat. In connection with the known history of VHL Syndrome, we first evaluated the possibility of AML. Thereupon, a histopathological sample was taken and the diagnosis was made as fat-poor AML with 5% fat content.
CONCLUSION In conclusion, PHA in our case report and fat-poor AML in our clinic are two uncommon liver vascular malignancies with comparable incidences. Important imaging techniques like contrast-enhanced US (CEUS), CECT, and CEMRI give us substantial advantages in both cases. However, a biopsy is used to provide the final diagnosis.

Abstract
BACKGROUND No study on dual energy computed tomography (DECT) has been found in the literature to evaluate possibly fatal cardiac/myocardial problems in corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients. Myocardial perfusion deficits can be found in COVID-19 patients even without any significant coronary artery occlusion, and these deficits can be shown via DECT with a perfect interrater agreement.
AIM To assess lung perfusion alterations in COVID-19 patients. To our knowledge, no study using DECT has been performed to evaluate possibly fatal cardiac/ myocardial problems in COVID-19 patients. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the role of DECT in the detection of COVID-19-related cardiac diseases.
METHODS Two blinded independent examiners evaluated CT images using the 17-segment model according to the American Heart Association’s classification of the segmentation of the left ventricular myocardium. Additionally, intraluminal diseases and abnormalities in the main coronary arteries and branches were investigated. Following segment-by-segment analysis, perfusion deficiencies identified on the iodine map pictures on DECT were identified.
RESULTS The study enrolled a total of 87 patients. Forty-two of these individuals were classified as COVID-19 positive, and 45 were classified as controls. Perfusion deficits were identified in 66.6% (n = 30) of the cases. All control patients had a normal iodine distribution map. Perfusion deficits were found on DECT iodine map images with subepicardial (n = 12, 40%), intramyocardial (n = 8, 26.6%), or transmural (n = 10, 33.3%) anatomical locations within the left ventricular wall. There was no subendocardial involvement in any of the patients.
CONCLUSION Myocardial perfusion deficits can be found in COVID-19 patients even without any significant coronary artery occlusion. These deficits can be shown via DECT with a perfect interrater agreement. Additionally, the presence of perfusion deficit is positively correlated with D-dimer levels.

Association of developmental venous anomaly (DVA) and cavernous malformation (CM) of the posterior fossa is rare. If bleeding occurs, it must be assigned to the CM. Developmental venous anomalies, considered as normal vascular variation, are rarely symptomatic. Indeed, the CMs are true malformations and have a high bleeding potential.

Abstract
Carotid body tumors (CBTs) originate from the paraganglionic tissue in the bifurcation of the common carotid artery. Magnetic resonance (MR) imaging is a commonly used diagnostic method in the preoperative diagnosis of these tumors. In this study, we demonstrated an isthmus between the right and left carotid body tumors in a patient with bilateral CBT. The left CBT also was associated with a saccular aneurysm of left external jugular vein.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE This study aimed to investigate the extension of labral tears associated with paraglenoid labral cysts by magnetic resonance arthrography. METHODS The magnetic resonance and magnetic resonance arthrography images of patients with paraglenoid labral cysts who presented to our clinic between 2016 and 2018 were examined. In patients with paraglenoid labral cysts, the location of the cysts, the relation between the cyst and the labrum, the location and extent of glenoid labrum damage, and whether there was contrast medium passage into the cysts were investigated. The accuracy of magnetic resonance arthrographic information was evaluated in patients undergoing arthroscopy. RESULTS In this prospective study, a paraglenoid labral cyst was detected in 20 patients. In 16 patients, there was a defect in the labrum adjacent to the cyst. Seven of these cysts were adjacent to the posterior superior labrum. In 13 patients, there were contrast solution leak into the cyst. For the remaining seven patients, no contrast-medium passage was observed in the cyst. Three patients had sublabral recess anomalies. Two patients had rotator cuff muscle denervation atrophy accompanying the cysts. The cysts of these patients were larger compared to those of the other patients. CONCLUSION Paraglenoid labral cysts are frequently associated with the rupture of the adjacent labrum. In these patients, symptoms are generally accompanied by secondary labral pathologies. Magnetic resonance arthrography can be successfully used not only to demonstrate the association of the cyst with the joint capsule and labrum, but also to reliably demonstrate the presence and extension of labral defects.

Abstract
Today, in parallel with the use of imaging modalities increases in all fields, the use of imaging methods in pregnant women is increasing. Imaging has become an integral component of routine pregnancy follow-up. Imaging provides parents with an early opportunity to learn about the current situation, including prenatal detection of anomalies or diseases, etiology, prognosis, and the availability of prenatal or postnatal treatments. Various imaging modalities, especially ultrasonography, are frequently used for imaging both maternal and fetal imaging. The goal of this review was to address imaging modalities in terms of usefulness and safety, as well as to provide demonstrative examples for disorders. And this review provides current information on selecting a safe imaging modality to evaluate the pregnant and the fetus, the safety of contrast medium use, and summarizes major pathological situations with demonstrative sonographic images to assist radiologists and obstetricians in everyday practice.

Abstract
BACKGROUND During the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, patients present to hospitals with a wide range of symptoms. Some of these symptoms include acute orchitis and epididymitis. The goal of this research is to see if COVID-19 infection and scrotal infection are associated. MATERIALS AND METHODS Patients with a COVID-19 (+) who agreed to a scrotal ultrasound (US) examination were studied prospectively in a tertiary care center between October 2021 and February 2022. The severity of the disease was used to divide patients into groups. Patients diagnosed with acute scrotal infection based on scrotal ultrasonography findings were compared in these groups, as were their age, comorbidities, and laboratory data. RESULTS The median age of the 213 participants was 61.7 ± 8.3. During the ultrasonographic examination of the patients, 15 (7%), 8 (3.7%), 17 (7.9%), and 40 (18.7%) were diagnosed with acute orchitis, acute epididymitis, acute epididymo-orchitis, and scrotal infection, respectively. Acute scrotal infection was far more common in patients with a higher clinical severity of the disease. The patients' comorbidities were also assessed, and it was discovered that they were statistically more common in the same group. CONCLUSIONS Even if there are no clinical symptoms, ultrasonography can help detect acute scrotal infection in COVID-19 patients. Furthermore, in groups with higher clinical severity, this association is more likely to be seen. It is critical to understand this in order to avoid complications.

Abstract
Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is caused by the virus named severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). In the literature, this virus has been associated with coagulation dysfunction and arterial thromboembolism. In clinical practice, corpus callosum infarcts are very rare, and the incidence of isolated splenium infarct is very low. Here, two cases of isolated splenium infarct after COVID-19 are reported with clinical and imaging findings. These findings are thought to be useful in daily practice for our colleagues. In addition, differential diagnoses of this entity will also be discussed in this case report.

Abstract
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has been widely used as an advanced imaging modality to detect prostate cancer and indicate suspicious areas to guide biopsy procedures. The increasing number of prostate examinations with MRI has provided an opportunity to detect incidental lesions, and some might be very significant to elucidate patient symptoms or occult neoplastic process in the early stages. These incidental lesions might be located in the prostate gland, adjacent tissues, or organs around the prostate gland or out of the genitourinary system. The field of view of prostate MRI includes not only the prostate gland but also other critical pelvic organs in this specific anatomical region. Some of these incidental lesions might cause the same symptoms as prostate cancer and might explain the symptoms of the patient, and some might indicate early cancer stages located outside the prostate. Reporting these lesions might be life-saving by initiating early disease treatment. Awareness of the predicted locations of congenital anomalies would also be beneficial for the radiologists to mention these incidental findings.

Abstract
On a perilymphatic fistula, there is an extravasation of the perilymph fluid into the middle ear cavity. Cross-sectional imaging techniques have very important role in evaluation of inner and middle ear structures and temporal bone. While thin section CT scans can show successfully pneumolabyrinth and temporal bone fracture, high-resolution 3D volumetric MRI sequences can help to demonstrate posttraumatic ear effusion and cerebrospinal fluid fistula into inner ear or middle ear.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The aim of this study was to define clinical evidence supporting that triple rule-out computed tomography angiography (TRO CTA) is a comprehensive and feasible diagnostic tool in patients with novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) who were admitted to the emergency department (ED) for acute chest pain. Optimizing diagnostic imaging strategies in COVID-19 related thromboembolic events, will help for rapid and noninvasive diagnoses and results will be effective for patients and healthcare systems in all aspects.
AIM To define clinical evidence supporting that TRO CTA is a comprehensive and feasible diagnostic tool in COVID-19 patients who were admitted to the ED for acute chest pain, and to assess outcomes of optimizing diagnostic imaging strategies, particularly TRO CTA use, in COVID-19 related thromboembolic events.
METHODS TRO CTA images were evaluated for the presence of coronary artery disease, pulmonary thromboembolism (PTE), or acute aortic syndromes. Statistical analyses were used for evaluation of significant association between the variables. A two tailed P-value < 0.05 was considered statistically significant.
RESULTS Fifty-three patients were included into the study. In 31 patients (65.9%), there was not any pathology, while PTE was diagnosed in 11 patients. There was no significant relationship between the rates of pathology on CTA and history of hypertension. On the other hand, the diabetes mellitus rate was much higher in the acute coronary syndrome group, particularly in the PTE group (8/31 = 25.8% vs 6/16 = 37.5%, P = 0.001). The rate of dyslipidemia was significantly higher in the group with pathology on CTA while compared to those without pathology apart from imaging findings of the pneumonia group (62.5% vs 38.7%, P < 0.001). Smoking history rates were similar in the groups. Platelets, D-dimer, fibrinogen, C-reactive protein, and erythrocyte sedimentation rate values were higher in COVID-19 cases with additional pathologies.
CONCLUSION TRO CTA is an effective imaging method in evaluation of all thoracic vascular systems at once and gives accurate results in COVID-19 patients.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Total exposure to ionizing radiation has nearly doubled in the last two decades. This increase is primarily due to increased computed tomography (CT) exposure. Concerns have been raised about the risks associated with patients' exposure to medical imaging radiation, which can increase a person's lifetime risk of developing cancer. Preventing unnecessary examinations becomes critical at this point. To avoid unnecessary examinations, it is necessary to understand the demanding process.
AIM To ascertain clinicians' awareness of and reasons for requesting a CT examination.
METHODS We developed an online questionnaire that included 20 questions about clinicians' awareness of radiation safety and their reasons for requesting a CT examination, as well as demographic information such as age, gender, and year of medical practice experience. Additionally, we asked participants the number of CT scans requested in a month, the patients' questions and approaches about the imaging method, the effect of the patient's previous imaging history on the current imaging request, whether they believed that they had sufficient information about radiation doses, and whether they requested CT without an indication. We administered the questionnaire to clinicians from a variety of different professions in four different cities.
RESULTS A total of 195 clinicians participated. Internal medicine specialists were the most crowded group (38/195, 19.5%). Mean age of the population was 33.66 ± 5.92 years. Mean year of experience was 9.01 ± 5.96. Mean number of requested CT scans in a month was 36.88 ± 5.86. Forty-five (23.1%) participants stated that they requested CT scans without clinical indication. The most common reasons for CT scan requests were work load, fear of malpractice, and patient demand/insistence.
CONCLUSION CT scan requests are influenced by a variety of factors, both internal and external to the doctors and patients. Raising awareness of radiation safety and reducing fear of malpractice by limiting the number of patients per physician may result in a reduction in unnecessary CT examinations and ionizing radiation exposure.

Abstract
Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) triggers important changes in routine blood tests. In this retrospective case-control study, biochemical, hematological and inflammatory biomarkers between March 10, 2020, and November 30, 2020 from 3969 COVID-19 patients (3746 in the non-intensive care unit (non-ICU) group and 223 in the ICU group) were analyzed by dividing into three groups as spring, summer and autumn. In the non-ICU group, lymphocyte to monocyte ratio was lower in autumn than the other two seasons and neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio was higher in autumn than the other two seasons. Also, monocyte and platelet were higher in spring than autumn; and eosinophil, hematocrit, hemoglobin, lymphocyte, and red blood cells decreased from spring to autumn. In the non-ICU group, alanine aminotransferase and gamma-glutamyltransferase gradually increased from spring to autumn, while albumin, alkaline phosphatase, calcium, total bilirubin and total protein gradually decreased. Additionally, C-reactive protein was higher in autumn than the other seasons, erythrocyte sedimentation rate was higher in autumn than summer. The changes in routine blood biomarkers in COVID-19 varied from the emergence of the disease until now. Also, the timely changes of blood biomarkers were mostly more negative, indicating that the disease progresses severely. The study was approved by the Erzincan Binali Yildirim University Non-interventional Clinical Trials Ethic Committee (approval No. 86041) on June 21, 2021.

ADVANCES IN KNOWLEDGE Loose bodies (LBs) are intraarticular free bodies and may cause synovial inflammation.Accurate and complete determination of the number and location of LBs before surgery are very important for effective treatment.The location, number and distribution of LBs in the ankle joint may be determined successfully by high-resolution magnetic resonance arthrography (MRA) and computed tomography arthrography (CTA).For this purpose, MRA and CTA may increase the diagnostic and therapeutic success of the arthroscopy.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE There is limited and contradictory information about pulmonary perfusion changes detected with dual energy computed tomography (DECT) in COVID-19 cases. The purpose of this study was to define lung perfusion changes in COVID-19 cases with DECT, as well as to reveal any possible links between perfusion changes and laboratory findings. METHODS Patients who had a positive RT-PCR for SARS-CoV-2 and a contrast-enhanced chest DECT examination were included in the study. The pattern and severity of perfusion deficits were evaluated, as well as the relationships between perfusion deficit severity and laboratory results and CT severity ratings. The paired t-test, Wilcoxon test, and Student's t-test were used to examine the changes in variables and perfusion deficits. p < 0.05 was regarded as statistically significant. RESULTS Study population consisted of 40 patients. Mean age was 60.73 ± 14.73 years. All of the patients had perfusion deficits at DECT images. Mean perfusion deficit severity score of the population was 8.45 ± 4.66 (min.-max, 1-19). In 24 patients (60%), perfusion deficits and parenchymal lesions matched completely. In 15 patients (37.5%), there was partial match. D dimer, CRP levels, CT severity score, and perfusion deficit severity score all had a positive correlation. CONCLUSIONS Perfusion deficits are seen not only in opacification areas but also in parenchyma of normal appearance. The CT severity score, CRP, D-dimer, and SpO2 levels of the patients were determined to be related with perfusion deficit severity. ADVANCES IN KNOWLEDGE Findings of the current study may confirm the presence of micro-thrombosis in COVID-19 pneumonia.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is associated with impairment in social, academic and job-related functioning in both children and adults. The purpose of this study is to investigate the susceptibility to cardiovascular risk factors in children with ADHD diagnosis through common carotid artery intima-media thickness (cIMT) measurement, to compare cIMT in ADHD and control groups and to evaluate the association between cIMT and ADHD symptom severity. METHODS The mean cIMT of 42 children with ADHD, ADHD symptom scales and a semi-structured psychiatric interview, and 42 age and sex matched healthy controls were measured with B-mode Doppler neck ultrasonography. RESULTS The median cIMT was significantly higher for the ADHD group compared to the healthy controls. There was a statistically significant, negative, moderate correlation between cIMT and Conners ADHD index score, hyperactivity score, oppositional score and the presence of ODD comorbidity. CONCLUSIONS In this study, we found significantly higher cIMT in children with ADHD when compared to healthy controls. Considering that increased cIMT is a sign of atherosclerosis and it can be used as a marker of cardiovascular risk factors, our finding may indicate that children with ADHD are at increased risk for cardiovascular diseases.KeypointscIMT was significantly higher in children with ADHD when compared to healthy controls.Higher cIMT in children with ADHD may indicate that children with ADHD are at increased risk for cardiovascular diseases.cIMT measurement may be studied as a potential tool for risk assessment before a child with ADHD is started on psychostimulant medications.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to describe different lesions and features associated with developmental venous anomalies (DVAs). METHODS The records and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) images of 1,722 patients who underwent cranial MRI between 2010 and 2017 were retrospectively reviewed. It was found that 124 (7.2%) patients had DVAs, and 48 of these patients (38.7%) had additional anomalies accompanying DVAs. Of the patients with DVAs, 25 were female and 23 were male, with a mean age of 39.3 years (range, 3-77 years). MRI was performed in all the patients. RESULTS In addition to DVAs, cavernomas were present in 30 patients (62.5%), haematomas in 7 (14.5%), gliosis in 6 (12.5%), demyelinating plaques in 4 (8.3%) and a glioblastoma in 1 (2.2%). The mean diameter of the DVAs was 1.1mm and the mean diameter of the lesions was 17.4mm. The susceptibility weighted imaging (SWI) sequence was also applied to 12 patients with cavernomas. The relevant sequence in all of these patients contributed to the diagnosis. CONCLUSION Our study shows that DVAs can accompany a wide spectrum of lesions, especially cavernomas. Although their pathophysiology has not yet been clearly established, these lesions may have a common aetiology.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION AND OBJECTIVES The wide range of variability of SS pneumatization and relation with surrounding structures can result in serious complications; seeing that, the assessment of regional anatomy is essential for both surgeons and radiologists. We mainly aim to reveal the possible correlation between the SS pneumatization types and protrusion/dehiscence of the adjacent neurovascular structures in a larger population by using computerized tomography (CT) images. METHODS The type of SS pneumatization (I-IV), pneumatization of anterior clinoid process (ACP), greater wing of sphenoid (GWS), and pterygoid process (PP) was evaluated. Protrusion and dehiscence of ICA, ON, MN, and VN was noted. RESULTS 1003 patients were included into the study. ICA, ON, and MN protrusions were not seen in patients with the type I or II SS on both sides. These protrusions were most frequently seen along with the type IV SS on both sides (p < 0.05). ICA, ON, MN, and VN dehiscence was not found in any patients with the type I SS. The rate of ICA protrusion increased with presence of GWS and PP; ICA dehiscence was found to be positively correlated with ACP, GWS, and PP pneumatization. CONCLUSIONS Variations, either amount or the extent, of the pneumatization of the SS are related with the presence of protrusion/dehiscence of ICA, ON, MN and VN. Knowing and reporting these relations can decrease the rate of complications during skull base surgery.

Abstract
Background Some patients continue to experience symptoms related to Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) after the acute phase of infection. Imaging studies, especially computed tomography (CT) of the chest, have gained importance since the beginning of the pandemic. CT can help diagnose COVID-19, assess the extent of pulmonary involvement, and predict the disease severity. We aimed to define the frequency of persistent symptoms and correlate their presence with the results of laboratory findings and the severity of the disease based on the findings of chest CT. Methods We examined patients discharged from the hospital after treatment for COVID-19 and whose nasopharyngeal swab sample tested positive for severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 after at least 4 weeks from the initial diagnosis. The patients were asked about the presence of persisting symptoms. In addition to the demographic data, laboratory results and severity levels seen on the chest CT were recorded. Results In all, 116 patients were included in the study, of which 61 reported at least one persisting symptom (52.5%). The mean age of the study population was 48.90 ± 17.74 years. The persistent symptoms included shortness of breath, chest pain, cough, muscle weakness, dizziness, headache, fatigue, and palpitations. The mean CT severity score was 3.80 ± 0.38 and it was lower in patients without any persistent symptoms. Conclusions Levels of C-reactive protein and fibrinogen, anemia, and female sex were associated with some of the persistent symptoms., the severity of the disease seen on CT was a successful predictor for the disease severity/prognosis and was also correlated with prolonged COVID infection and more persistent symptoms.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Brain herniation (BH) into arachnoid granulation has been remarkable in recent years. PURPOSE To evaluate the damage in herniated parenchyma into the giant arachnoid granulation (GAG) and to investigate the clinical-demographic importance of this damage. MATERIAL AND METHODS Patients with BH into GAG were retrospectively included in the study. Each of the patients had at least one high-resolution 3D magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) sequence. The arachnoid granulation dimensions, locations, and origin of herniated parenchyma were evaluated by two experienced radiologists. The demographic and symptomatic features of the patients were recorded from the hospital database. RESULTS A total of 27 patients (21 females, 6 males; age range 6-71 years; mean age 41.3 years) were found to contain BH into GAG. It was most commonly seen in the transverse sinus (67%); the origin was most common in the cerebellar parenchyma (56%). Abnormal signal and morphology were detected in herniated parenchyma in 11 (47%) patients, atrophy in six, and atrophy and gliosis in five. The most common complaints were headache (47%), while other frequent symptoms were vertigo (15%) and blurred vision (11%). There was a statistically significant positive correlation between frequency of damage in herniated brain parenchyma and the maximal size of GAG (P<0.05). CONCLUSION In patients with BH into GAG, parenchymal damage may be associated with various symptoms, such as headache and vertigo, although they have not been statistically proven. It is important to carefully evaluate hernia tissue, as the risk of tissue damage may increase in larger GAGs.
