Abstract
Background The European League of Rheumatology(EULAR)guidelines recommend Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitors for patients with moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis (RA) who are insensitive or under-responsive to conventional synthetic disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (csDMARDs). But there was no recommendation for which one was preferred in five currently approved JAK inhibitors. The objective of this network meta-analysis study was to evaluate the efficacy of five JAK inhibitors as monotherapy and combination therapy in patients with moderate-to-severe active rheumatoid arthritis. Methods The randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of tofacitinib, baricitinib, upadacitinib, filgotinib and peficitinib as monotherapy or combined with csDMARD in the treatment of active RA were searched in database of PubMed, Embase, Web of Science and Cochrane Library, up to December 2023. The control group included placebo or csDMARD. Outcome indicators included American College of Rheumatology 20% response (ACR20), ACR50, ACR70 and the percentage of patients achieving 28-joint disease activity score using C-reactive protein (DAS28(CRP))<2.6 at 12 weeks and 24 weeks. The statistical analysis was performed by Stata14 and RevMan5.4. Data processing, network evidence plots, surface under the cumulative ranking curve (SUCRA) ranking, league plots and funnel plots were generated. Risk ratio (RR) and 95% confidence interval (95%CI) as effect sizes to analyze the statistics. Results This study included thirty-six RCTs with 16,713 patients. All JAK inhibitors were more effective than placebo in ACR20 (RRs ranging between 1.74 and 3.08), ACR50 (RRs ranging between 2.02 and 7.47), ACR70 (RRs ranging between 2.68 and 18.13), DAS28(CRP) < 2.6 (RRs ranging between 2.70 and 7.09) at 12 weeks. Upadacitinib 30 mg and upadacitinib 15 mg showed relatively good efficacy according to their relative SUCRA ranking. All JAK inhibitors were more effective than csDMARD or placebo in ACR20 (RRs ranging between 1.16 and 1.86), ACR50 (RRs ranging between 1.69 and 2.84), ACR70 (RRs ranging between 1.50 and 4.47), DAS28(CRP) < 2.6 (RRs ranging between 2.28 and 7.56) at 24 weeks. Upadacitinib 15 mg + csDMARD and baricitinib 4 mg + csDMARD showed relatively good efficacy according to their relative SUCRA ranking. The safety analysis results such as serious infection, malignancy, major adverse cardiovascular event (MACE), and venous thromboembolic events (VTE) showed no statistical difference. Conclusion This NMA study indicated that all JAK inhibitors performed better than placebo. Based on the results of this study, upadacitinib 30 mg, upadacitinib 15 mg, upadacitinib 15 mg + csDMARD and baricitinib 4 mg + csDMARD were recommended treatment options with relatively good efficacy and safety. However, attention should be paid to monitoring the occurrence of adverse events in high-risk RA patients with medication. Combination therapy with csDMARD might be more suitable for the maintenance of long-term efficacy. However, in clinical practice, it is still necessary to select the appropriate therapeutic regimen based on the actual clinical situation.

Abstract
The fast development of Internet of Things and the rapid advent of next-generation versatile wearable electronics require cost-effective and highly-efficient electroactive materials for flexible electrochemical energy storage devices. Among various electroactive materials, binder-free nanostructured arrays have attracted widespread attention. Featured with growing on a conductive and flexible substrate without using inactive and insulating binders, binder-free 3D nanoarray electrodes facilitate fast electron/ion transportation and rapid reaction kinetics with more exposed active sites, maintain structure integrity of electrodes even under bending or twisted conditions, readily release generated joule heat during charge/discharge cycles and achieve enhanced gravimetric capacity of the whole device. Binder-free metal-organic framework (MOF) nanoarrays and/or MOF-derived nanoarrays with high surface area and unique porous structure have emerged with great potential in energy storage field and been extensively exploited in recent years. In this review, common substrates used for binder-free nanoarrays are compared and discussed. Various MOF-based and MOF-derived nanoarrays, including metal oxides, sulfides, selenides, nitrides, phosphides and nitrogen-doped carbons, are surveyed and their electrochemical performance along with their applications in flexible energy storage are analyzed and overviewed. In addition, key technical issues and outlooks on future development of MOF-based and MOF-derived nanoarrays toward flexible energy storage are also offered.

Abstract
PURPOSE To explore potential feasibility of texture features in magnetic susceptibility and R2* maps for evaluating liver fibrosis. METHODS Thirty-one patients (median age 46 years; 22 male) with chronic liver disease were prospectively recruited and underwent magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), blood tests, and liver biopsy. Susceptibility and R2* maps were obtained using a 3-dimensional volumetric interpolated breath-hold examination sequence with a 3T MRI scanner. Texture features, including histogram, gray-level co-occurrence matrix (GLCM), gray-level dependence matrix (GLDM), gray-level run length matrix (GLRLM), gray-level size zone matrix (GLSZM), and neighboring gray tone difference matrix (NGTDM) features, were extracted. Texture features and blood test results of non-significant (Ishak-F < 3) and significant fibrosis patients (Ishak-F ≥ 3) were compared, and correlations with Ishak-F stages were analyzed. Areas under the curve (AUCs) were calculated to determine the efficacy for evaluating liver fibrosis. RESULTS Nine texture features of susceptibility maps and 19 features of R2* maps were significantly different between non-significant and significant fibrosis groups (all P < 0.05). Large dependence high gray-level emphasis (LDHGLE) of GLDM and long run high gray-level emphasis (LRHGLE) of GLRLM in R2* maps showed significantly negative and good correlations with Ishak-F stages (r = -0.616, P < 0.001; r = -0.637, P < 0.001). Busyness (NGTDM) in susceptibility maps, LDHGLE of GLDM and LRHGLE of GLRLM in R2* maps yield the highest AUCs (AUC = 0.786, P = 0.007; AUC = 0.807, P = 0.004; AUC = 0.819, P = 0.003). CONCLUSION Texture characteristics of susceptibility and R2* maps revealed possible staging values for liver fibrosis. Susceptibility and R2*-based texture analysis may be a useful and noninvasive method for staging liver fibrosis.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Connexin 43 (Cx43) is a critical gene for maintaining myocardial homeostasis. Interestingly, Cx43 and stress-induced phosphoprotein 1 (STIP1) were recorded to be lowly expressed in ischemia/reperfusion (I/R). However, their impacts on reperfusion arrhythmia (RA) remain to be explored. Our study aimed to find out the related underlying mechanisms. METHODS After the establishment of an isolated heart model through Langendorff perfusion, the heart rate, conduction activation time, conduction velocity, and conduction direction of the left ventricle were evaluated, along with the apoptotic rate detection in the collected myocardial tissues. After the construction of a hypoxia/reoxygenation (H/R)-induced cellular model, cell apoptosis, intercellular communication, cell viability, and the content of reactive oxygen species, superoxide dismutase, malondialdehyde, and lactic dehydrogenase were measured. The expression of Cx43 and STIP1 was determined in both rat heart and cell models. The bindings of STIP3 and Cx43 to heat shock protein 90 (HSP90) and heat shock protein 70 (HSP70) were verified. RESULTS Relative to the corresponding controls, Cx43 and STIP1 were decreased in myocardial tissues of RA rats and H/R-stimulated H9C2 cells, where Cx43-binding HSP70 and HSP90 were respectively increased and decreased, and ubiquitination level of Cx43 was enhanced. STIP1 overexpression promoted protein expression of Cx43, intercellular communication, and cell viability, and reduced cell apoptosis and oxidative stress in H/R-stimulated H9C2 cells. CONCLUSION STIP1 promoted Cx43 expression to improve intercellular communication and reduce oxidative stress in H/R-stimulated H9C2 cells.

Abstract
Timeseries representation underpin our ability to understand and predict the change of natural system. Series are often predicated on our choice of highly redundant factors, and in fact, the system is driven by a much smaller set of latent intrinsic keys. It means that a better representation of data makes points in phase space clearly for researchers. Specially, a 2D structure of timeseries could combine the trend and correlation characters of different periods in timeseries together, which provides more clear information for top tasks. In this work, the effectiveness of 2D structure of timeseries is investigated in clustering tasks. There are 4 kinds of methods that the Recurrent Plot (RP), the Gramian Angular Summation Field (GASF), the Gramian Angular Differential Field (GADF) and the Markov Transition Field (MTF) have been adopted in the analysis. By classifying the CSI300 and S&P500 indexes, we found that the RP imaging series are valid in recognizing abnormal fluctuations of financial timeseries, as the silhouette values of clusters are over 0.6 to 1. Compared with segment methods, the 2D models have the lowest instability value of 0. It verifies that the SIFT features of RP images take advantage of the volatility of financial series for clustering tasks.

Abstract
Purpose This study investigated the effect of exosomes derived from sevoflurane-treated cardiac fibroblasts (Sev-CFs-Exo) on reperfusion arrhythmias (RA), ventricular conduction, and myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury (MIRI). Methods Primary cardiac fibroblasts (CFs) were isolated from the hearts of neonatal rats and identified by morphology and immunofluorescence. Exosomes were isolated from CFs at passages 2-3 after they had been treated with 2.5% sevoflurane for an hour and cultivated for 24-48 hours. The control group was CFs that did not receive any treatment. The hypothermic global ischemia-reperfusion injury model was established using the Langendorff perfusion technique following injection with exosomes through the caudal vein. Multi-electrode array (MEA) mapping was used to investigate the changes in RA and ventricular conduction in isolated hearts. Western blots and immunofluorescence were used to examine the relative expression and location of connexin 43 (Cx43). In addition, the MIRI was evaluated with triphenyl tetrazolium chloride and Hematoxylin-Eosin staining. Results The primary CFs had a variety of morphologies, no spontaneous pulsation, and were vimentin-positive, which confirmed their successful isolation. Sev-CFs-Exo increased the heart rate (HR) at reperfusion for 15 minutes (T2) and 30 minutes (T3) and lowered the score and duration of RA and the time for restoration of heartbeat in reperfusion. Meanwhile, Sev-CFs-Exo increased conduction velocity (CV), decreased absolute inhomogeneity (P5-95) and inhomogeneity index (P5-95/P50) at T2 and T3, as well as promoted the recovery of HR, CV, P5-95 and P5-95/P50 after hypothermic global ischemia-reperfusion injury. Furthermore, Sev-CFs-Exo raised expression and reduced lateralization of Cx43, and improved myocardial infarct sizes and cellular necrosis. However, while cardiac fibroblast-derived exosomes (CFs-Exo) showed similar cardioprotective effects, the outcomes were not as significant. Conclusion Sevoflurane reduces the risk of RA and improves ventricular conduction and MIRI by CFs-Exo, and this may be driven by the expression and location of Cx43.

Abstract
To investigate the involvement of stress induced phosphoprotein 1 (STIP1), heat shock protein (HSP) 70, and HSP90 in ubiquitination of connexin 43 (Cx43) in rat H9c2 cardiomyocytes. Co-immunoprecipitation was used to detect protein-protein interactions and Cx43 ubiquitination. Immunofluorescence was used for protein co-localization. The protein binding, Cx43 protein expression, and Cx43 ubiquitination were reanalyzed in H9c2 cells with modified STIP1 and/or HSP90 expression. STIP1 bound to HSP70 and HSP90, and Cx43 bound to HSP40, HSP70, and HSP90 in normal H9c2 cardiomyocytes. Overexpression of STIP1 promoted the transition of Cx43-HSP70 to Cx43-HSP90 and inhibited Cx43 ubiquitination; knockdown of STIP1 resulted in the opposite effects. Inhibition of HSP90 counteracted the inhibitory effect of STIP1 overexpression on Cx43 ubiquitination. STIP1 suppresses Cx43 ubiquitination in H9c2 cardiomyocytes by promoting the transition of Cx43-HSP70 to Cx43-HSP90.

Abstract
The oncogenic function of TEA domain transcription factor 4 (TEAD4) has been confirmed in multiple human malignancies, while its potential role and regulatory mechanism in serous ovarian cancer progression are left unknown. By the gene expression analyses from Gene Expression Profiling Interactive Analysis (GEPIA) database, TEAD4 expression is shown to be up-regulated in serous ovarian cancer samples. Here, we confirmed the high expression of TEAD4 in clinical serous ovarian cancer specimens. In the following functional experiments, we found that TEAD4 overexpression promoted serous ovarian cancer malignant phenotypes, including proliferation, migration and invasion in serous ovarian cancer SK-OV-3 and OVCAR-3 cells, while TEAD4 knockout exerted the opposite function. The tumor growth inhibition of TEAD4 depletion was also affirmed by a Xenograft model in mice. In addition, this phenotypic deterioration induced by TEAD4 overexpression was diminished by PLAG1 like zinc finger 2 (PLAGL2) silencing. More importantly, combined with the results of the dual-luciferase assay, the transcriptional regulation of TEAD4 on PLAGL2 promoter was evidenced. Our results showed that the cancer-promoting gene TEAD4 was involved in serous ovarian cancer progression via targeting PLAGL2 at the transcriptional level.

Abstract
Although many models are available to predict prognosis of heart failure patients, most tools combining survival analysis are based on proportional hazard model. Non-linear machine learning algorithms would overcome the limitation of the time-independent hazard ratio assumption and provide more information in readmission or mortality prediction among heart failure patients. The present study collected the clinical information of 1796 hospitalized heart failure patients surviving during hospitalization in a Chinese clinical center from December 2016 to June 2019. A traditional multivariate Cox regression model and three machine learning survival models were developed in derivation cohort. Uno's concordance index and integrated Brier score in validation cohort were calculated to evaluate the discrimination and calibration of different models. Time-dependent AUC and Brier score curves were plotted to assess the performance of models at different time phases.

Abstract
This study is started from a photon-magnon model with a competition effect of the level attraction and repulsion, its Hermiticity is mainly decided by a phase-dependent and asymmetric coupling factor, namelyφ = 0 for Hermitian andϕ=πfor non-Hermitian. Then an extensional study predicts the quantum critical behaviors using an Hermitian and even no-Hermitian photon-spins model with an additional second-order drive. The numerical results firstly indicate that this coupling phaseφcan function the protective effect on quantum phase transitions (QPTs), and the new tricritical points can not only be modulated by this nonlinear drive, but also be influenced by the dissipation and the collective decoherence. Secondly, this competition effect can also induce a reversal of the value of order parameters between the positive and negative. This study can also bring more important results of QPTs toward the issue of symmetry breaking and non-Hermiticity.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Microstructural changes in deep gray matter (DGM) nuclei are related to physiological behavior, cognition, and memory. Therefore, it is critical to study age-dependent trajectories of biomarkers in DGM nuclei for understanding brain development and aging, as well as predicting cognitive or neurodegenerative diseases. OBJECTIVES We aimed to (1) characterize age-dependent trajectories of mean susceptibility, adjusted volume, and total iron content simultaneously in DGM nuclei using quantitative susceptibility mapping (QSM); (2) examine potential contributions of sex related effects to the different age-dependence trajectories of volume and iron deposition; and (3) evaluate the ability of brain age prediction by combining mean magnetic susceptibility and volume of DGM nuclei. METHODS Magnetic susceptibilities and volumetric values of DGM nuclei were obtained from 220 healthy participants (aged 10-70 years) scanned on a 3T MRI system. Regions of interest (ROIs) were drawn manually on the QSM images. Univariate regression analysis between age and each of the MRI measurements in a single ROI was performed. Pearson correlation coefficients were calculated between magnetic susceptibility and adjusted volume in a single ROI. The statistical significance of sex differences in age-dependent trajectories of magnetic susceptibilities and adjusted volumes were determined using one-way ANCOVA. Multiple regression analysis was used to evaluate the ability to estimate brain age using a combination of the mean susceptibilities and adjusted volumes in multiple DGM nuclei. RESULTS Mean susceptibility and total iron content increased linearly, quadratically, or exponentially with age in all six DGM nuclei. Negative linear correlation was observed between adjusted volume and age in the head of the caudate nucleus (CN; R2 = 0.196, p < 0.001). Quadratic relationships were found between adjusted volume and age in the putamen (PUT; R2 = 0.335, p < 0.001), globus pallidus (GP; R2 = 0.062, p = 0.001), and dentate nucleus (DN; R2 = 0.077, p < 0.001). Males had higher mean magnetic susceptibility than females in the PUT (p = 0.001), red nucleus (RN; p = 0.002), and substantia nigra (SN; p < 0.001). Adjusted volumes of the CN (p < 0.001), PUT (p = 0.030), GP (p = 0.007), SN (p = 0.021), and DN (p < 0.001) were higher in females than those in males throughout the entire age range (10-70 years old). The total iron content of females was higher than that of males in the CN (p < 0.001), but lower than that of males in the PUT (p = 0.014) and RN (p = 0.043) throughout the entire age range (10-70 years old). Multiple regression analyses revealed that the combination of the mean susceptibility value of the PUT, and the volumes of the CN and PUT had the strongest associations with brain age (R2 = 0.586). CONCLUSIONS QSM can be used to simultaneously investigate age- and sex- dependent changes in magnetic susceptibility and volume of DGM nuclei, thus enabling a comprehensive understanding of the developmental trajectories of iron accumulation and volume in DGM nuclei during brain development and aging.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Remimazolam is a novel sedative drug that has been successively approved for procedural sedation and general anesthesia, however, which has not been fully explored due to limited clinical studies and a small sample size. Current clinical studies have focused on the use of remimazolam and propofol for general anesthesia (GA) as indicators of safety outcomes in surgical patients, but different studies have reached different conclusions. The aim of this study was to investigate whether the safety-related outcome indicators in GA were superior to propofol in surgical patients. EVIDENCE ACQUISITION We systematically searched PubMed, Cochrane Library, Embase, and Web of Science databases for all published randomized controlled trials comparing remimazolam with propofol for general anesthesia. Data from eligible studies were pooled with relative risk or mean differences to analyze the differences in hemodynamic stability and adverse effects of the two medications. EVIDENCE SYNTHESIS Eight randomized controlled trials involving 998 participants were included. Compared with propofol, remimazolam had better hemodynamic stability with a lower incidence of hypotension (RR=0.43, 95% CI: [0.34, 0.55], I2=0%, P<0.00001), a higher preintubation, and immediate postintubation mean arterial pressure (MAP, MD=5.41, 95% CI: [5.26,11.24], Z=5.41, P<0.00001<0.05); (MD=1.60, 95% CI: [-0.20, 3.41], Z=1.74, P<0.08>0.05). Regarding other adverse events, the incidence of hypoxemia, nausea and vomiting, dizziness and injection site pain was lower in the remimazolam group compared to the propofol group. CONCLUSIONS In this Meta-analysis, compared with propofol, remimazolam for GA reduced the incidence of hypotension, hypoxemia, nausea and vomiting, dizziness and injection site pain, and had a more stable MAP before and after intubation, which supported that remimazolam is a safer sedative. However, a large sample is needed to validate this finding.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the efficacy and safety of transbronchial cryobiopsy (TBCB) after lung transplantation. Methods: The clinical characteristics, TBCB procedure, diagnosis and treatment, and outcomes of lung transplant recipients of 6 patients (all male, aged 33-67 years) with TBCB in China-Japan Friendship Hospital from May to November 2021 were retrospectively analyzed. Results: Among the 6 patients diagnosed by TBCB, there were 2 cases of organizing pneumonia, 1 acute cellular rejection, 1 antibody-mediated rejection, and 1 bronchiolitis obliterans, and 1 diffuse alveolar damage. After the clinical diagnosis was confirmed, the condition improved after adjustment of the treatments followed. There were no serious complications related to the TBCB procedure. Conclusion: TBCB is valuable and relatively safe in the diagnosis of complications after lung transplantation, but the indications need to be strictly controlled.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Deep brain stimulation (DBS) of the subthalamic nucleus (STN) improves motor deficits in advanced Parkinson's disease (PD) patients, but the degree of motor improvement varies across individuals. PD pathology involves the changes of iron spatial distribution in the deep gray matter nuclei. PURPOSE To explore the relationship between the iron spatial distribution and motor improvement among PD patients who underwent STN-DBS surgery in three regions: substantia nigra (SN), STN, and dentate nucleus (DN). STUDY TYPE Prospective. SUBJECTS Forty PD patients (49.7 ± 8.8 years, 22 males/18 females) who underwent bilateral STN-DBS. FIELD STRENGTH/SEQUENCE A 3 T preoperative three-dimensional spoiled bipolar-readout multi-echo gradient recalled echo and two-dimensional fast spin echo sequences. ASSESSMENT Movement Disorder Society-sponsored revision of the Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale part III (MDS-UPDRS III) scores were assessed 2-3 days before and 6 months after STN-DBS. The first- and second-order texture features in regions of interest were measured on susceptibility maps. STATISTICAL TESTS Intraclass correlation coefficient was used to determine the consistency of the region of interest volumes delineated by the two raters. Pearson or Spearman's correlation coefficients were used to assess the relationship between motor improvement after DBS and texture features. A P-value <0.05 was considered statistically significant. RESULTS MDS-UPDRS III scores were reduced by 59.9% after STN-DBS in 40 PD patients. Motor improvement correlated with second-order texture parameters in the SN including angular second moment (r = -0.449), correlation (rho = 0.326), sum of squares (r = 0.402), sum of entropy (rho = 0.421), and entropy (r = 0.410). Additionally, DBS outcome negatively correlated with mean susceptibility values in the DN (r = -0.400). DATA CONCLUSION PD patients with a more homogeneous iron distribution throughout the SN or a higher iron concentration in the DN responded worse to STN-DBS. Abstract
Background
Adverse cardiovascular events have day/night patterns with peaks in the morning, potentially related to endogenous circadian clock control of platelet activation. Circadian nuclear receptor Rev-erbα is an essential and negative component of the circadian clock.
Purpose
We aim to investigate the expression profile and biological function of Rev-erbα in platelets.
Methods and results
Here we report the presence and functions of circadian nuclear receptor Rev-erbα in human and mouse platelets. Both human and mouse platelet Rev-erbα showed a circadian rhythm that positively correlated with platelet aggregation. Global Rev-erbα knockout and platelet-specific Rev-erbα knockout mice exhibited defective in hemostasis as assessed by prolonged tail-bleeding times. Rev-erbα deletion also reduced ferric chloride-induced carotid arterial occlusive thrombosis, prevented collagen/epinephrine-induced pulmonary thromboembolism, and protected against microvascular microthrombi obstruction and infarct expansion in an acute myocardial infarction model. In vitro thrombus formation assessed by CD41-labeled platelet fluorescence intensity was significantly reduced in Rev-erbα knockout mouse blood. Platelets from Rev-erbα knockout mice exhibited impaired agonist-induced aggregation responses, integrin αIIbβ3 activation and α-granule release. Consistently, pharmacological inhibition of Rev-erbα by specific antagonists decreased platelet activation markers in both mouse and human platelets. Mechanistically, mass spectrometry and co-immunoprecipitation analyses revealed that Rev-erbα potentiated platelet activation via oligophrenin-1-mediated RhoA/ERM (ezrin/radixin/moesin) pathway.
Conclusion
We provide the first evidence that circadian protein Rev-erbα is functionally expressed in platelets and potentiates platelet activation and thrombus formation. Rev-erbα may serve as a novel therapeutic target for managing thrombosis-based cardiovascular disease.

Abstract
Objectives To evaluate the therapeutic effect of neoadjuvant therapy (NAT) followed by radical hysterectomy and concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT) in stage IB2 and IIA2 squamous cervical cancer (SCC) and investigate the value of apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) in outcome evaluation of different treatment strategies in the patients. Methods A total of 149 patients with IB2 and IIA2 SCC who underwent pretreatment MRI and DWI scan were included. Patients were treated with NAT + RH or CCRT. Clinical indices and pathological factors were recorded. The imaging indices were measured including tumor size and tumor ADC values. Intraclass correlation coefficient was employed to evaluate the consistency of the indices measured by two observers. ROC curves were used to evaluate the cutoff values of clinical and imaging indices. Kaplan–Meier and Cox proportional hazard model were used to analyze the independent factors of disease-free survival (DFS). Results The median follow-up period was 42.3 months. SCC-Ag, ADCmax and ADCmin were independent factors for DFS in the entire cohort. SCC-Ag, ADCmin and vascular invasion were independent factors for DFS in NAT + RH group. ADCmax and ADCmin were independent factors for DFS in CCRT group. ADCmin was the strongest independent factor for DFS in NAT + RH group, while ADCmax was that in CCRT group. Conclusion The NAT + RH patients had similar DFS to that of CCRT in IB2 and IIA2 SCC, which could be a potential feasible alternative treatment. ADCmin and ADCmax were more valuable in evaluating the outcome of patients who underwent NAT + RH or CCRT, respectively.

Abstract
Seeking effective policies for reducing chemical pesticides has recently been the focus of agricultural sustainable development. A randomly selected sample of 559 small-scale farmers on the China Loess Plateau was investigated in 2018. We analyzed the effect of certification of agricultural production on the adoption of integrated pest management (IPM) by using the Poisson regression model. The result shows that the certification of agriculture products, subsidies of integrated pest management, and the price increase of certified agriculture products significantly promote the adoption of IPM. However, government supervision in certified agriculture products does not significantly promote the adoption of IPM. The cognition of IPM acquired by farmers significantly promotes the adoption of IPM, while the age of farmers negatively affects the adoption of IPM. We suggest that the government should strengthen the certification of agriculture products and provide subsidies of the adoption of IPM for farmers who produce certified agriculture products. The market needs to guarantee a higher price of certified agro-products which the IPM are adopted. The government should strengthen supervision of certified agriculture products, promote the extension of IPM and enhance farmers' knowledge of IPM, and promote more farmers to replace chemical pesticides with IPM.

Abstract
Rare earth elements (REEs) are useful geological indicators of marine geochemistry. However, extremely low concentrations (sub-ng L−1) and high-salt matrices result in inefficient measurements. A fully automatic separation system (ELSPE-2 Precon) is used in the online determination of ultra-trace REEs in seawater using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. This system mainly comprises three sections: (i) an auto-sampler (eas-2A) with 120 positions; (ii) a poly(styrene-divinylbenzene) resin column (Prin-Cen Col007) with iminodiacetic and ethylenediaminetriacetic acid functional groups to eliminate the high-salt matrix (e.g., Na, Ca, K, Mg, Al, Ba, Fe, Sr, P, and S) and preserve the target REEs; and (iii) a Trp002 cleanup column for the reduction of the reagent and procedural blank values. The detection limits (3σ) were in the range 0.002 (Dy)–0.097 ng L−1 (La), and the long-term reproducibility (8 h) was between 80% and 120% for all REEs in a 3.5% NaCl matrix solution. The accuracy of this method was verified using a seawater reference material (NASS-6), and the measured REE concentrations were consistent with those previously reported. The proposed online system was used to investigate coastal water samples with varying salinities from the Pearl River Estuary (Guangdong, China). Variations in the REE distribution patterns of different layers of seawater were observed, which could be due to the mixing of potentially light rare earth element-enriched bottom seawater. Moreover, a positive Gd anomaly in river water and seawater might be attributed to anthropogenic pollution from hospitals and the pharmaceutical industry. Abstract
Introduction Astaxanthin (ASX) is carotenoid with the highest antioxidant activity in various cell types and reverse atherosclerosis. However, the roles and detailed mechanisms of ASX in atherosclerosis associated endothelial injury remains unclear. Methods In vitro atherosclerosis model was established in HUVECs by incubation with oxidized low-density lipoprotein (ox-LDL). Cell viability and oxidative stress were measured. The mRNA and protein expressions of lectin-like ox-LDL receptor (LOX-1) and other related genes were determined. Results ox-LDL reduced cell viability of HUVECs, and induced oxidative stress, as evidenced by elevated cellular malondialdehyde (MDA) and decreased superoxide dismutase (SOD). Pretreatment with ASX (50, 100, 200, and 400 μM) markedly reversed the reduction in cell viability and an increase in migration of HUVECs induced by ox-LDL (50 μg/mL). ASX attenuated the increase in the endothelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EndMT) process, as evidenced by increased CD31 and decreased α-SMA and vimentin proteins by ASX treatment in HUVECs. Furthermore, ASX attenuated the increase in MDA and decrease in SOD induced by ox-LDL, increased supernatant NO production, attenuated the increase in iNOS and decrease in eNOS in HUVECs with ox-LDL. ASX enhanced mRNA and protein expressions of the lectin-like ox-LDL receptor (LOX-1), which was dependent on ASX’s antioxidant activity. The inhibitory effect of ASX on EndMT could be abolished by overexpression of LOX-1 in HUVECs induced by ox-LDL. Conclusions Our data speculate that ASX prevents ox-LDL-induced endothelial cell injury and EndMT by inducing antioxidant property (SOD and NO) and decreasing LOX-1 expression.

Abstract
Background SOCS2 is downregulated in diabetes, which might be related to diabetes. We explored the effect of SOCS2 polymorphisms on the development of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and diabetic complications. Methods The subjects consisted of 500 patients with T2DM and 501 healthy controls. Five variants in SOCS2 were genotyped by Agena MassARRAY system. RT-qPCR profiling was performed to detect the expression of SOCS2 mRNA. Logistic regression analysis was utilized to calculate odds ratio (OR) and 95% confidence intervals (95% CIs). Results Rs3825199 (OR = 1.44, p = 0.007), rs11107116 (OR = 1.39, p = 0.014) and rs10492321 (OR = 1.48, p = 0.004) had an increased T2DM risk of T2DM. Moreover, the contribution of SOCS2 polymorphisms to T2DM risk was associated with age, gender, smoking, drinking, and BMI. SOCS2 variants also had a reduced risk for T2DM patients with diabetic nephropathy, diabetic retinopathy and coronary heart disease. SOCS2 rs10492321 was the best single locus model. SOCS2 mRNA was downregulated in patients with T2DM compared to healthy controls (p = 0.029). Conclusion This study firstly reported that rs3825199, rs11107116 and rs10492321 in SOCS2 conferred to an increased risk for the occurrence of T2DM in the Chinese Han population. Moreover, SOCS2 mRNA was downregulated in patients with T2DM, suggesting that SOCS2 might have an important role in the occurrence of T2DM.

Abstract
Silicon inverted pyramid (IP) structures, with lower reflectance and increased surface recombination, are one of the best choices for light-trapping structures of high-efficiency silicon solar cells. The solution process of IP generally goes through three main steps: porous silicon etched by metal-assisted chemical etching, acid etching, and alkali anisotropic etching. In this paper, the role that acid modification plays in IP preparation and the application of our optimized texture for passivated emitter and rear solar cells (PERC) were investigated. Experimental results show that acid plays a decisive role in optimizing and modifying the morphology of porous silicon; thus, the morphology of porous silicon has no direct influence on the morphology of IP. In addition, the opening size of IP is mainly determined by the size of silicon micron holes modified by the acid process. PC1D simulation results manifest that IPs can increase the short-circuit current density (J sc) of devices by 1.04 mA/cm2 and power conversion efficiency by 0.55%; hence, our optimized IP-based PERC achieve the highest simulative conversion efficiency of 23.21%. This is an effective and important way to manipulate the structure of IP, which points out the direction of fabrication and application of high-efficiency IP textures.

Abstract
Background: Patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and obstructive sleep apnea (OSAS) overlap syndrome (OS) are thought to be at increased risk for cardiovascular diseases. Objective: To evaluate the burden of cardiovascular diseases and long-term outcomes in patients with OS. Methods: This was a retrospective cohort study. The prevalence of cardiovascular diseases and 1-year mortality were compared among patients diagnosed with OS (OS group), COPD alone (COPD group) and OSAS alone (OSAS group), and Cox proportional hazards models were used to assess independent risk factors for all-cause mortality. Results: Overall, patients with OS were at higher risk for pulmonary hypertension (PH), heart failure and all-cause mortality than patients with COPD or OSAS (all p < 0.05). In multivariate Cox regression analysis, the Charlson comorbidity index (CCI) score [adjusted hazard ratio (aHR): 1.273 (1.050–1.543); p = 0.014], hypertension [aHR: 2.006 (1.005–4.004); p = 0.048], pulmonary thromboembolism (PTE) [aHR: 4.774 (1.335–17.079); p = 0.016] and heart failure [aHR: 3.067 (1.521–6.185); p = 0.002] were found to be independent risk factors for 1-year all-cause mortality. Conclusion: Patients with OS had an increased risk for cardiovascular diseases and 1-year mortality. More efforts are needed to identify the causal relationship between OS and cardiovascular diseases, promoting risk stratification and the management of these patients.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a complex metabolic disease that is caused by a complex interplay between genetic and environmental factors. This research aimed to investigate the association of genetic polymorphisms in PDX1 and MC4R with T2DM risk. METHODS The genotypes of 10 selected SNPs in PDX1 and MC4R were identified using the Agena MassARRAY platform. We utilized odds ratio (OR) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) to assess the correlation between genetic polymorphisms and T2DM risk. RESULTS We found that PDX1-rs9581943 decreased susceptibility to T2DM among in a Chinese Han population (OR = 0.76, p = 0.045). We also found that selected genetic polymorphisms in PDX1 and MC4R could modify the risk of T2DM, which might also be influenced by age, sex, BMI, smoking status, and drinking status (p < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS We concluded that PDX1 and MC4R genetic variants were significantly associated with T2DM risk in a Chinese Han population. These single polymorphic markers may be considered to be new targets in the assessment and prevention of T2DM among Chinese Han people.

Abstract
Background Evidence from genetic epidemiology indicates that type 2 diabetes (T2D) has a strong genetic basis. Activated STAT4 has an inflammatory effect, and STAT4 is an important mediator of inflammation in diabetes. Our study aimed to study the association between STAT4 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and T2D susceptibility in Chinese Han population. Methods We conducted a 'case–control' study among 500 T2D patients and 501 healthy individuals. 5 candidate STAT4 SNPs were successfully genotyped. The association between SNPs and T2D susceptibility under different genetic models was evaluated by logistic regression analysis. ‘SNP-SNP’ interaction was analyzed and completed by multi-factor dimensionality reduction (MDR). Finally, we evaluated the differences of clinical characteristics under different genotypes by one-factor analysis of variance. Results The overall results showed that STAT4 rs3821236 was associated with increasing T2D risk under allele (OR 1.23, p = 0.020), homozygous (OR 1.51, p = 0.025), dominant (OR 1.36, p = 0.029), and additive models (OR 1.23, p = 0.020). The results of stratified analysis showed that rs3821236, rs11893432, and rs11889341 were risk factors for T2D among participants ≤ 60 years old. Only rs11893432 was associated with increased T2D risk among female participants. There was also a potential association between rs3821236 and T2D with nephropathy risk. STAT4 rs11893432, rs7574865 and rs897200 were significantly associated with lysophosphatidic acid, cystatin C and thyroxine t4, respectively. Conclusion The genetic polymorphisms of STAT4 is potentially associated with T2D susceptibility of Chinese population. In particular, rs3821236 is significantly associated with T2D risk both in the overall and several subgroup analyses. Our study may provide new ideas for T2D individualized diagnosis/protection. Abstract
Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBDs) are chronic immune disorders that occur in the intestinal tract. Previous studies have revealed that intestinal epithelial cells (IECs) play critical roles in the development of IBDs, and therapies targeting IECs hold great potential for the treatment of IBDs. However, the roles of microRNAs (miRs) in the regulation of IEC properties and whether they can be used as targets for IEC regulation and IBD treatment are largely unknown. The aim of the present study was to investigate the role of the miR-452-5p/Mcl-1 axis in the regulation of the properties of IECs during the pathology of IBD. A dextran sulfate sodium-induced mouse model of ulcerative colitis (UC) and an in vitro lipopolysaccharide-stimulated IEC-6 cell model were investigated. The results revealed that miR-452-5p expression in the IECs of the mice increased significantly upon UC induction, and the knockdown of miR-452-5p alleviated the IBD symptoms. Furthermore, the suppression of miR-452-5p downregulated the expression of the inflammatory cytokines IL-6, IL-8 and TNFα, and upregulated the expression of intestinal barrier-associated molecules, namely occludin, zona occludens 1 and mucin-2 in IECs in vitro and in vivo. Notably, the results indicated that miR-452-5p modulated the responses of IECs by negatively regulating the expression of Mcl-1, as the knockdown of Mcl-1 abrogated the effects of miR-452-5p suppression on IECs. The present study suggested that miR-452-5p regulated the responsiveness of IECs to influence the development of UC in an Mcl-1-dependent manner. These observations provide important information to improve the understanding of IBD pathogenesis and indicate that targeting the miR-452-5p-Mcl-1 signaling axis in IECs holds potential for IBD treatment.

Abstract
PURPOSE Combined clinical prognostic factors and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) parameters on predicting the prognosis after concurrent chemo-radiotherapy (CCRT)in patients with 2018 International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) IIICr stage patients. METHODS A total of 117 patients with cervical cancer (2018 FIGO stage IIICr) who underwent CCRT were enrolled from Dec.2014 to Jul.2017. 47 patients developed outcome events, including 32 recurrences and 15 deaths. Clinical and MR parameters of primary tumors were analyzed, including apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values (ADCmean, ADCmin, and ADCmax) and dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI (DCE-MRI) parameters (Ktrans, Kep, Ve) were recorded. The short diameters of visible lymph nodes in the MRI and enhanced computed tomography (CT) images were measured. Progression-free survival (PFS) was compared by Kaplan-Meier analysis and independent predictors were identified using cox regression analysis. RESULTS The median PFS was 35 months (6-68 month). The 1-year and 3-year PFS rates were was 90.4 %, 74.4 %, respectively. Multivariate analysis showed that 2018 FIGOIIIC2r stage (HR 2.701,95 %CI1.259to. 5.797; p = 0.011), Ktrans(HR 0.353;95 %CI 0.189 to 0.659; p = 0.001) and ADCmin (HR0.423,95 %CI0.229to0.783; p = 0.006) were highly correlated with poor PFS. CONCLUSION In conclusion, we have identified IIIC2r stage, Ktrans value and ADCmin value as the most important factors in evaluating the survival rate and prognosis of patients with stage IIICr cervical cancer. For stage IIIC1r subgroup, Ktrans, ADCmin value and site of positive lymph node >2 were independent prognostic factors.

Abstract
Background Noninvasive methods for the early diagnosis and staging of hepatic fibrosis are needed. The present study aimed to investigate the alteration of magnetic susceptibility in the liver of patients with various fibrosis stages and to evaluate the feasibility of using susceptibility to stage hepatic fibrosis. Methods A total of 30 consecutive patients with chronic liver diseases (CLDs) underwent magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and liver biopsy evaluation of hepatic fibrosis, necroinflammatory activity, iron load, and steatosis. Quantitative susceptibility mapping (QSM), R2* and proton density fat fraction (PDFF) images were postprocessed from the same gradient-echo data for quantitative tissue characterization using region of interest (ROI) analysis. The differences for MRI measurements between cohorts of non-significant (Ishak-F <3) and significant fibrosis (Ishak-F ≥3) and the correlation of MRI measurements with fibrosis stages and necroinflammatory activity grades were tested. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis was also performed. Results There was a significant difference in liver susceptibility between the cohorts of significant and non-significant fibrosis (Z=-2.880, P=0.004). A moderate negative correlation between the stages of liver fibrosis and liver susceptibility was observed (r=-0.471, P=0.015). Liver magnetic susceptibility differentiated non-significant from significant hepatic fibrosis with an area under the receiver operating curve (AUC) of 0.836 (P=0.004). A highly sensitive diagnostic performance with an AUC of 0.933 was obtained using magnetic susceptibility and PDFF together (P<0.001). Conclusions A noninvasive liver QSM-based evaluation promises an accurate assessment of significant fibrosis in patients with CLDs.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To explore possible mechanism of ERBB2 gene expression silencing mediating mitogen-activated protein kinase 1/mitogen-activated protein kinase 3 (MAPK1/MAPK3) signaling pathway on proliferation, migration, and invasion of ovarian cancer cells. PATIENTS AND METHODS A total of 240 cancer specimens were collected in patients with epithelial ovarian cancer intraoperatively in our hospital from January 2015 to January 2018. Expressions of ERBB2, MAPK1, and MAPK3 in tissues were detected by immunohistochemistry. Following the culture of ovarian cancer cell lines, target cell line with high expression of ERBB2 was screened by qRT-PCR. Cell grouping was performed with four groups after transfection, including Blank group, negative control (NC) group, ERBB2 shRNA group, and ERBB2 overexpression group (shorted as ERBB2 group). The expression levels of ERBB2, MAPK1, MAPK3, vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), metalloproteases-2 (MMP-2), and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteases-2 (TIMP-2) were detected by qRT-PCR in different transfection groups, followed by the detection of protein expressions with Western blot. 3-(4,5-Dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay was used to test the proliferation activity of each group after transfection, while transwell assay and scratch test explored cell invasion and migration in each group, respectively. RESULTS Immunohistochemistry showed that the positive rates of ERBB2, MAPK1, and MAPK3 in ovarian cancer tissues were significantly increased than those in adjacent normal epithelial tissues. In the cell experiment, ERBB2 gene was highly expressed in SKOV3 ovarian cancer cell line. There was no significant difference in each index between Blank group and NC group (p > 0.05). Compared with Blank group and NC group, the expression levels of ERBB2, MAPK1, MAPK3, VEGF, and MMP-2 in ERBB2 shRNA group decreased significantly, TIMP-2 increased markedly, and proliferation, invasion, and migration abilities of cells decreased markedly after transfection, showing statistically significant differences (All p < 0.05). By contrast, the expression levels of ERBB2, MAPK1, MAPK3, VEGF, and MMP-2 increased remarkably in ERBB2 group, while TIMP-2 decreased significantly, and cell proliferation, invasion, and migration ability increased evidently after transfection, with statistically significant differences (All p < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS Silencing ERBB2 gene expression may inhibit the activation of MAPK1/MAPK3 signaling pathway and thus suppress the proliferation, invasion, and migration of ovarian cancer cells. Overexpression of ERBB2 gene can reverse those trends, which in turn support the role of ERBB2 gene expression silencing in molecular targeted therapy of ovarian cancer.

Abstract
Background and purpose: A high risk of brain injury has been reported with the usage of general anesthetics such as propofol in infants. Experimental data indicated that oxidative stress and inflammation are involved in the neurotoxicity induced by propofol. Febuxostat is a novel anti-gout agent recently reported to exert an anti-inflammatory effect. The present study aims to investigate the protective property of febuxostat against the cytotoxicity of propofol in brain endothelial cells as well as the underlying preliminary mechanism. Methods: The 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay was utilized to screen the optimized incubation concentration of febuxostat. bEnd.3 brain endothelial cells were stimulated with 2% propofol in the presence or absence of febuxostat (10, 20 μM) for 24 h. The lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) release assay was conducted to detect cytotoxicity. The reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels were evaluated using dichloro-dihydro-fluorescein diacetate (DCFH-DA) staining, and the concentration of reduced glutathione (GSH) was determined using a commercial kit. The expressions of TNF-α, IL-6, IL-12, CXCL-1, PDPN, CXCL8, VCAM-1, and E-selectin were determined using a quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) and an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Western blot and qRT-PCR were utilized to determine the expressions of COX-2 and KLF6. The production of PGE2 was evaluated by ELISA. Results: First, increased LDH release induced by propofol was significantly suppressed by febuxostat. The oxidative stress (elevated ROS levels and decreased GSH level) induced by propofol was alleviated by febuxostat. Second, the upregulated inflammatory factors (TNF-α, IL-6, and IL-12), pro-inflammatory chemokines (CXCL-1, PDPN, and CXCL8), adhesion molecules (VCAM-1 and E-selectin), and inflammatory mediators (COX-2 and PGE2) induced by propofol were greatly downregulated by febuxostat. Lastly, the expression of KLF6 was significantly suppressed by propofol but greatly elevated by febuxostat. Conclusion: Febuxostat prevented the cytotoxicity of propofol in brain endothelial cells by alleviating oxidative stress and inflammatory response through KLF6.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Computed tomography perfusion (CTP) can provide information on blood perfusion as a reliable marker of tumor response to therapy. PURPOSE To assess the role of volume CTP (vCTP) parameters in predicting treatment response to concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT) for cervical cancer. MATERIAL AND METHODS Thirty-three patients with cervical cancer underwent vCTP. Three CTP parameters of cervical cancer-including arterial flow (AF), blood volume (BV), and permeability surface (PS)-were measured in two different ways: the region of interest incorporating the "local hot" with the highest enhancement and "cold spot" with the lowest enhancement; and "whole-tumor" measurements. The patients were divided into non-residual and residual tumor groups according to the short-term response to treatment. The clinical and perfusion parameters were compared between the two groups. RESULTS There was no significant difference in age, body mass index, FIGO stage, pathological grade, or pretreatment tumor size between the two groups (P > 0.05). The non-residual tumor group had higher pretreatment AF in high-perfusion and low-perfusion subregions than the residual tumor group (P <0.05), but the AF in whole-tumor regions was not different between the two groups (P > 0.05). There were no differences in BV and PS between the two groups (P > 0.05). The diagnostic potency of AF in the low-perfusion subregion was higher than that in the high-perfusion subregion. CONCLUSION vCTP parameters are valuable for the prediction of short-term effects. The AF in the low-perfusion subregion was a more effective index for predicting treatment response to CCRT of cervical cancer.

Abstract
In this paper, a comprehensive method for the identification of the unknown halogenated DBPs (X-DBPs, X = Cl, Br, and I) in the tap water of Wuhan, China via liquid chromatography-high resolution mass spectrometry (LC-HRMS) was developed. 123 X-DBPs were identified through the stepwise procedure, 94 of them were newly identified, and 3 of them were confirmed by standards. Most X-DBPs were aliphatic compounds and highly unsaturated and phenolic compounds, some X-DBPs contained multiple halogen atoms and rich in carboxyl groups, such as C2H2O2BrCl, C2H2O2Br2, and C2H2O2ClI. It was worth noting that the concentration of some X-DBPs had the same trend with time. Most Cl-DBPs remained stable and I-DBPs were detected occasionally by monitoring the change of concentration of these X-DPBs with the time during three consecutive months. The results demonstrate that the proposed method could provide valuable molecular formula and structure information on unknown multiple halogenated DBPs, or be used for the identification of other multiple halogenated organic compounds in different media.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Currently, no study has evaluated metal accumulation in the brains of patients with Wilson's disease by using quantitative susceptibility mapping at 3T MRI. The objectives of this study were to qualitatively and quantitatively evaluate changes in magnetic susceptibility and R2* maps in deep gray matter nuclei to discriminate Wilson's disease patients from healthy controls and to evaluate their sensitivities in diagnosing Wilson's disease. METHODS Magnetic susceptibility and R2* maps and conventional T1-weighted, T2-weighted, and T2-weighted fluid-attenuated inversion recovery images were obtained from 17 Wilson's disease patients and 14 age-matched healthy controls on a 3T MRI scanner. Differences between Wilson's disease and healthy control groups in susceptibility and R2* values in multiple deep nuclei were evaluated using a Mann-Whitney U test and receiver operating characteristic curves. The correlations of susceptibility and R2* values with Unified Wilson's Disease Rating Scale score were also performed. RESULTS Magnetic susceptibility and R2* can effectively distinguish different types of signal abnormalities. Magnetic susceptibility and R2* values in multiple deep nuclei of Wilson's disease patients were significantly higher than those in healthy controls. Magnetic susceptibility value in the substantia nigra had the highest area under the curve (0.888). There were positive correlations of the Unified Wilson's Disease Rating Scale score with susceptibility values in the caudate nucleus (r = 0.757, P = 0.011), putamen (r = 0.679, P = 0.031), and red nucleus (r = 0.638, P = 0.047), as well as R2* values in the caudate nucleus (r = 0.754, P = 0.012). CONCLUSIONS Quantitative susceptibility mapping at 3T could be a useful tool to evaluate metal accumulation in deep gray matter nuclei of Wilson's disease patients. © 2020 International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society.

Abstract
Identity development within the interprofessional field is an emerging area of research. This scoping review aims to establish how professional and interprofessional identities are defined, conceptualized, theorized and measured within the interprofessional literature. Six databases were systematically searched for papers focusing on professional and/or interprofessional identities in interprofessional healthcare and education using a scoping review methodology. A total of 84 papers were included. Most papers discussed professional identity only; the minority discussed both identities. There were three key findings. First, no universal definition of interprofessional identity exists. Second, there is no shared understanding of interprofessional identity and its relationship with professional identity. Third, poor alignment between definitions, conceptualizations, theories and measures of interprofessional identity exists. The absence of a psychometrically robust instrument that specifically measures interprofessional identity and the short-term focus of current interprofessional identity research further limits understanding. Research that critically examines professional and interprofessional identity development should be underpinned by clear definitions, concepts, theories and measures of both identities. High-quality research will allow greater understanding of interprofessional identity development and its impact on interprofessional practice.

Abstract
Sappanwood extract shows promising effects against atherosclerosis. The fibroblast growth factor 21 (FGF21) and sterol regulatory element-binding protein 2 (SREBP2) are involved in atherosclerosis development. This study aimed to examine whether sappanwood ethyl acetate extract (SEAE) alleviates experimental atherosclerosis in rats through FGF21/SREBP-2 signaling. Rats were randomized to six groups (n=10/group): blank control, model, simvastatin (positive control, 4.2 mg/kg/d), and SEAE high-, medium-, and low-dose (2.30, 1.15, and 0.575 g/kg/d, respectively). The high-fat- and vitamin D3-induced rodent model of atherosclerosis was created (except in the blank control group). Aorta and liver underwent histopathologic examination. SREPB-2 and FGF21 expression levels were examined by real-time RT-PCR and western blot. Compared with the blank control group, the model group showed aortic and hepatic histopathology compatible with the development of atherosclerosis due to a high-fat diet. In addition, total cholesterol, triglycerides, and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) were elevated (all P<0.05). SREBP2 expression was high, and FGF21 expression was low (both P<0.05). Compared with the model group, SEAE alleviated the changes in liver and aorta by histopathology and decreased total cholesterol, triglycerides, and LDL-C (all P<0.05), especially in the medium-, and high-dose groups. In addition, medium-dose SEAE increased FGF21 levels (mRNA: +296%; protein: +69%; P<0.05) and decreased SREBP2 levels (mRNA: -44%; protein: -77%; P<0.05). Simvastatin, as the positive control, had similar effects to those of SEAE. In conclusion, SEAE improves lipid metabolism and alleviates atherosclerosis through changes in FGF21 and SREBP-2 expression levels.

Abstract
As a coordination polymer built of [Mo3S13]2- clusters, amorphous nanoscale MoSx (a-MoSx) is an attractive electrocatalyst for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) due to its abundant active sites and scalable synthesis. However, clarifying the internal catalytic mechanism and achieving even higher HER performance with scalable size are still challenging. Herein, a new hybrid catalyst of a-MoSx flakes decorated with Ni3S2 nanocrystals (size < 10 nm) has been successfully synthesized on 10 × 20 cm2-sized Ni foam by a portable hydrothermal route. As the strong interaction of [Mo3S13]2- clusters with Ni3S2 is evidenced by comprehensive binding state and Raman characterization, the polymerization effect of [Mo3S13]2- itself and the perfect interfaces between [Mo3S13]2- clusters and Ni3S2 are also confirmed by density functional theory calculations. These two factors greatly lower the absorption energy of hydrogen nearly to zero, leading to much improved HER activity. Current densities of 100 and 600 mA cm-2 are achieved at overpotentials of 181 and 246 mV, respectively, which are so far the highest values approaching practical applications. The findings of this work provide a fundamental reference about the catalytic origin of a-MoSx based catalysts, and shed light on the practical applications of non-precious electrocatalysts for their compatibility with low cost batch production.

Abstract
Dysregulation of long non-coding RNA papillary thyroid carcinoma susceptibility candidate 3 (lncRNA PTCSC3) has been found to correlate with various types of cancers. Quantitative RT-PCR showed a down-regulation of PTCSC3 in cervical cancer tissues compared with normal cervical tissues. The present study aimed to investigate the role of lncRNA PTCSC3 in cervical cancer and the underlying mechanisms. PTCSC3 was overexpressed in cervical cancer cell lines C-33A and Hela by transfection with pcDNA3.1-lncRNA PTCSC3 expressing plasmid. Overexpression of lncRNA PTCSC3 inhibited cell proliferation, induced cell cycle arrest, and suppressed cell invasion and migration using CCK8 assay, flow cytometry, Transwell assay and wound healing examination, respectively. Western blotting analysis showed that PTCSC3 overexpression decreased the expression of cyclinD1, matrix metalloproteinases 9 (MMP9), N-cadherin and β-catenin and increased E-cadherin expression. Further, PTCSC3 negatively regulated miR-574-5p expression and dual-luciferase assay verified the binding activity between miR-574-5p and lncRNA PTCSC3. Enforced up-regulation of miR-574-5p abolished the inhibitory effect of lncRNA PTCSC3 on cervical cancer cell proliferation, invasiveness and mobility. Taken together, lncRNA PTCSC3 inhibited cell growth and metastasis via sponging miR-574-5p in cervical cancer. Therefore, we demonstrate the tumour-suppressive function of lncRNA PTCSC3 in cervical cancer and suggest that PTCSC3 is a potential therapeutic target for cervical cancer.

Abstract
Acute infectious gastroenteritis cases in Shanghai, reported over three years, were analyzed. Pathogens were identified in 1031 patients; of these, 725 and 306 were bacterial and viral cases, respectively. Vibrio parahemolyticus and Salmonella were the dominant bacteria, and Caliciviridae and Reoviridae were the dominant viral families in the local area. The acute gastroenteritis epidemic peaks appeared in August and January, which represented the active peak periods of bacteria and viruses, respectively. Logistic regression analyses with sex stratification showed that abdominal pain, fever and ingestion of unsafe food at restaurants were independent factors more frequently associated with bacterial gastroenteritis irrespective of sex; red cell-positive fecal matter was associated with bacterial gastroenteritis with an odds ratio (OR) of 3.28 only in males; and white blood cell count was associated with bacterial gastroenteritis with an OR of 1.02 only in females. Pathogen stratification showed that age, vomiting and red cell-positive fecal matter were associated with males with ORs of 0.99, 0.61 and 1.71, respectively, in bacterial gastroenteritis; and the migrant ratio was higher in males with an OR of 2.29 only in viral gastroenteritis. In conclusion, although bacterial and viral gastroenteritis shared many features, epidemiological and clinical factors differed between sexes and pathogens.

Abstract
Point-of-care detection for pathogen is of critical need for wide epidemic warning and medical diagnosis. In this work, we have designed and developed a fully portable and integrated microchip based real-time polymerase chain reaction machine for rapid pathogen detection. The instrument consists of three functional components including heating, optical, and electrical modules, which are integrated into a portable compact box. The microchip is consumable material replaceable to meet various detection needs. Consequently, we demonstrated the outstanding performance of this portable machine for rapid detection of Salmonella and Escherichia coli O157:H7 with the advantage of time-saving (∼25 min), less samples consumption, portability, and user-friendly operation.

Abstract
A simple, rapid, and reliable method was developed for the direct determination of four high field strength elements (HFSEs, namely, Nb, Ta, Zr, and Hf) in refractory silicate rocks using slurry nebulisation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). Samples were dispersed in a 0.2% Triton X-100 solution by wet-grinding with a tissue cell-destroyer, and 90% of the particles in the slurry were found to be less than 1.5 μm in diameter during 90 s of milling. Fine slurry was directly introduced into ICP and detected by mass spectrometry. The behaviors of different particle size distributions in the transportation and ionisation processes were investigated. Results indicated that the cut-off size for particle efficient transport (in the sample introduction system) and complete ionization (in the ICP) was approximately 8 μm and 4 μm, respectively. Our fine slurries (mean particle size, <1.0 μm) showed comparable mass transfer efficiency and ionisation efficiency to aqueous standards. Calibration can be carried out via aqueous standards, with a limit of quantification (LOQ) in the range of 18–30 ng g−1. Satisfactory accuracy (recovery, 91 to 103%) and precision (RSD, 0.9 to 6.3%) were verified by analysis of a series of silicate rock certified reference materials (CRMs).
