Abstract
1. The salient features of calcinosis universalis and calcinosis circumscripta are described. 2. The term "calcinosis localisata" is suggested to distinguish the localised type of calcinosis from the more widespread calcinosis. 3. Thirteen cases of calcinosis localisata are described: in five the lesion was situated about the greater tuberosity of the humerus; one was in the axillarv aspect of the shoulder; one on the dorsum of the foot; two in the digits of the hand; one on the dorsum of the wrist; one in the region of the flexor carpi ulnaris tendon; one on the lateral aspect of the elbow; and one at the tip of the greater trochanter. 4. The value of rest is emphasised; in some cases chemotherapy appeared to be indicated.

Abstract
There is a marked decline in some intellectual abilities in old age. It is frequently hypothesized that impaired cerebral physiology accounts for some of this deficit. In old age the critical flicker frequency, a measure sensitive to cerebral dysfunction, is correlated with aging intellectual abilities. This is interpreted as evidence supporting the above hypothesis.

Abstract
A review such as this is not the place, nor has it the space in which to discuss the nature of intelligence. Some conclusion, however, must be reached as to the factors to be considered in estimating any correlation, positive or negative, between level of intelligence and degree of epilepsy.

Abstract
This study attempts to evaluate the desirability of pressuring creative children for academic achievement, and the personality theories underlying such decisions. Neither the emotional adjustment nor the personality characteristics of creative children were significantly affected by their achievement level. This suggests that arguments based on the effect that pressure for academic excellence will have on the personality of the creative child are without foundation.

Abstract
It appears that educators often think of the capacity of individual children for academic learning in terms of intelligence test scores or other measures of individual attributes. The measures are thought to be relevant simply because they predict achievement. Actually one predicts different things for children under diverse circumstances and thus children can be thought of as having many different capacities.

Abstract
The Henmon Nelson Test of Mental Ability College level, the Minnesota Paper Form Board and the ETS Verbal Cognitive Tests were administered to 1,100 freshman students. Small negative relationships between these scales and TMAS were found most notably for the verbal tests and females. Significant differences were found between high- and low-anxious groups. It is suggested that previous negative results for female Ss may have resulted from the use of easy verbal tests.
