[L'Atelier créa: a therapeutic mediation group for neonatal parents]

The parents of a baby hospitalized in a neonatal unit are confronted with the trauma of premature birth. L'Atelier créa, a creatively-mediated peer group, was designed to give them a space in which to meet and share their experiences. It's a time for talking, imagining and dreaming about the baby. This group is also a form of passage, taking the place of ritual, allowing access to the parent-baby triad, in this sometimes so inhospitable universe.

War: Mentalization and Totalitarian State of Mind

For most residents of Europe, war is a new experience in which they find themselves both as witnesses and participants. In this paper the war in Ukraine serves as an illustration and case example. Like any unfamiliar experience, war elicits profound emotional responses which can be so overwhelming that an individual may be unable to fully process them and to create mental representations of the reality of war. When the psyche becomes entrapped in an unprocessed state, without the capacity to derive meaning from it, this results in the "fossilization" of the psyche akin to what McGinley and Segal describes as a totalitarian state of mind. Subjectivity and individual differences come under collective or personal attack, or both. This state of being prioritizes the needs of the collective psyche over the individual psyche. The image of Gorgon Medusa, who transformed living people into "fossilized" ones, is presented as a metaphor of total identification with the collective dimension. In contrast, the psyche can reveal a creative approach to resolving war-induced trauma. This is depicted in the concept of the Alchemical Stone and its creation, which symbolizes a harmonious connection between the external and internal realms, the subjective and objective experiences, and the real and the imaginal dimension.

The ordeal of chronicity is marked, from the outside, by an impression of dependence on the institution. Considering the discharge of a patient who has been hospitalized for a long period of time requires reflection at different levels and is based on a major challenge, that of integrating a new model of care. The clinical situation presented allows us to highlight both the caregiving skills and the impact on the group that this implies in a clearly defined dynamic: mobilizing the patient's resources.

Bastard children of the avant-garde: artistic expression in the Cubist and Abstract Expressionist movements and the psychoanalytic process

The art movements of Cubism and Abstract Expressionism, influenced by Jung and Freud, emerged as a symbolic representation of the collective unconscious, and became an expression of the challenging times of a culture in transition. Similar to the technique of interpretation in psychoanalysis, Cubist painting was a method of demarcation, rather than an imitation of what was seen in the physical world. Also, as an expression of collective experience, the avant-garde movement of Abstract Expressionism emerged out of Cubism. It moved away from the logical idealism of Cubism into an expression of felt experience. This paper will review the art of the avant-garde Cubist and Abstract Expressionist movements. The psychology of the artistic process will be explored in relation to psychoanalysis and collective experience.

Serious Game Design with medical students as a Learning Activity for Developing the 4Cs Skills: Communication, Collaboration, Creativity and Critical Thinking: A qualitative research

INTRODUCTION

The impact of technology in education has led to various changes in the way that different stakeholders, like students and teachers work and interact with each other. The use of the serious game design in educational contexts has been related to the development of the 21st century skills such as communication, collaboration, creativity and critical thinking.

AIM

To analyze a serious game design process by third -year medical students, from the perspective of the 21st century competencies engaged in the game design process. Those outlined key competencies are communication, collaboration, creativity and critical thinking.

METHODS

This is a qualitative, descriptive, and inductive study that follows a phenomenological approach. Twelve volunteer third-year medical students participated in an activity of designing of serious games. This study, carried out during summer internship in the cardiology department of Habib Thameur Hospital. The course of the designing of serious games with students spread over 4 weeks with 10 hours face-to-face and 10 hours of remote work.

RESULTS

The participants in our study were twelves third-year medical students. Of these 12 students, 10 were female. The duration of each interview depends on each participant's ability. The analysis of the data, based on the phenomenological method of Giorgi brought out four central themes: theme 1: Critical thinking skills and problems solving skills, theme 2: Communication, theme 3: Creativity, theme 4: Collaboration. The overall essence of the phenomenon is these third medical students who experienced the serious game design outlined key competencies.

CONCLUSION

Using serious game development-based learning as a learning method to impart multidimensional skills and knowledge suggests a promising approach for developing clinical reasoning, creativity, communication, and collaboration in students.

This article explores the historical construction of a bio-psychological model of a pre-diagnostic Parkinson's Disease Personality. The essay interrogates the historically situated value-laden assumptions about character traits thought to be correlated with neuro-molecular variations measured in the brain. The epistemological security of the bio-psychological model is examined in the light of patients' own interpretations of their cognitive experiences of creativity, and the meaning of their feeling "emergent" as contrasted to the experience of a static human existence.
