Abstract
BACKGROUND For the first time, we investigated the oncological role of plexin domain-containing 1 (PLXDC1), also known as tumor endothelial marker 7 (TEM7), in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). AIM To investigate the oncological profile of PLXDC1 in HCC. METHODS Based on The Cancer Genome Atlas database, we analyzed the expression of PLXDC1 in HCC. Using immunohistochemistry, quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR), and Western blotting, we validated our results. The prognostic value of PLXDC1 in HCC was analyzed by assessing its correlation with clinicopathological features, such as patient survival, methylation level, tumor immune microenvironment features, and immune cell surface checkpoint expression. Finally, to assess the immune evasion potential of PLXDC1 in HCC, we used the tumor immune dysfunction and exclusion (TIDE) website and immunohistochemical staining assays. RESULTS Based on immunohistochemistry, qRT-PCR, and Western blot assays, overexpression of PLXDC1 in HCC was associated with poor prognosis. Univariate and multivariate Cox analyses indicated that PLXDC1 might be an independent prognostic factor. In HCC patients with high methylation levels, the prognosis was worse than in patients with low methylation levels. Pathway enrichment analysis of HCC tissues indicated that genes upregulated in the high-PLXDC1 subgroup were enriched in mesenchymal and immune activation signaling, and TIDE assessment showed that the risk of immune evasion was significantly higher in the high-PLXDC1 subgroup compared to the low-PLXDC1 subgroup. The high-risk group had a significantly lower immune evasion rate as well as a poor prognosis, and PLXDC1-related risk scores were also associated with a poor prognosis. CONCLUSION As a result of this study analyzing PLXDC1 from multiple biological perspectives, it was revealed that it is a biomarker of poor prognosis for HCC patients, and that it plays a role in determining immune evasion status.

Abstract
The microalga Chlorella pyrenoidosa is cultivated extensively for its constituents, which are of significant economic worth. Large-scale growth of C. pyrenoidosa in outdoor environments is subject to various stressors such as elevated temperature. The purpose of this study was to assess the protective effects of exogenous 24-epibrassinolide (EBL) on C. pyrenoidosa under high-temperature conditions. Compared to a temperature of 30°C, increasing the temperature to 43°C reduced the enzymatic capacity for carbon assimilation and resulted in the buildup of reactive oxygen species (ROS), thus reducing photosynthesis and proliferation. It was observed that exogenous EBL protected C. pyrenoidosa cells against high temperatures, with an optimal EBL concentration of 100 nM, resulting in enhanced capacity for photosynthetic carbon assimilation with a notable reduction in the imbalance between the absorption of light and energy used under high-temperature conditions. The addition of 100 nM EBL resulted in a 25.4% increase in cell density when exposed to elevated temperatures for 7 days. In addition, exogenous EBL reduced ROS production and increased the activities of critical antioxidant enzymes. This, in turn, mitigated heat-induced oxidative damage, resulting in advantageous outcomes in terms of cellular development and maintenance.

Abstract
Objective Distant metastasis occurs in some patients at the first diagnosis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), the prognosis is poor, and there are significant individual differences. This study established a nomogram model of lung metastasis of NPC as a supplement to TNM staging. Methods The training cohort is used to build the nomogram model, and the validation cohort is used to evaluate the model. The training cohort of 177 patients is from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database. Factors affecting overall survival (OS) in patients with lung metastasis of NPC analysis by Cox regression analysis and then a nomogram were established. 122 patients from the Affiliated Tumor Hospital of Guangxi Medical University were selected as the external validation cohort. The concordance index (C-index), the area under the curve (AUC), and the calibration curve were used to assess the accuracy of the nomogram and used the decision curve analysis (DCA) curve to measure the clinical benefit capacity of the model. The patients were separated into two groups with different risks, and the "Kaplan-Meier (KM)" survival analysis was used to evaluate the differentiation ability of the model. Results Age, T-stage, radiation, chemotherapy, and brain metastases can affect the OS in NPC with lung metastasis. A nomogram was developed according to the above five factors. The C-index of the training cohort and the validation cohort were 0.726 (95% CI: 0.692-0.760) and 0.762 (95% CI: 0.733-0.791). The AUC of the nomogram was better than that of the TNM staging. In the training cohort, the nomogram predicted OS AUC values of 0.767, 0.746, and 0.750 at 1, 2, and 3 years, TNM stage of 0.574, 0.596, and 0.640. In the validation cohort, nomogram predictions of OS AUC values of 0.817, 0.857, and 0.791 for 1, 2, and 3 years, TNM stage of 0.575, 0.612, and 0.663. DCA curves suggest that nomogram have better clinical net benefits than TNM staging. The KM survival analysis shows that the nomogram has a reasonable risk stratification ability. Conclusion This study successfully established a nomogram model of NPC lung metastasis, which can be used as a supplement to TNM staging and provide reference for clinicians.

Abstract
A triterpenoid isolated from the plant Hedera helix, hederagenin was discovered to have anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, anti-depressant and anti-fibrosis properties both in vivo and in vitro. In this study, the relationship between mitochondrial fission and hederagenin-induced apoptosis in ovarian cancer (OC) was investigated and the underlying mechanisms were deciphered. Hederagenin's cytotoxicity on OC cells was analyzed using colony formation and CCK-8 assays. The effect of hederagenin on OC cells was also verified by a mouse xenograft tumor model. Flow cytometric analysis was conducted to examine hederagenin's effects on mitochondrial membrane potential, apoptosis, and cell cycle OC cells. MitoTracker Red (CMXRos) staining was performed to observe the mitochondrial morphology. The protein levels of Bak, Bcl-2, Caspase 3, Caspase 9, Cyclin D1 and Bax were measured by Western blot. This study found that hederagenin could suppress the in vivo and in vitro SKOV3 and A2780 cell proliferation in an effective manner. Besides, hederagenin altered the mitochondrial membrane potential, induced S-phase and G0/G1-phase arrest, mitochondrial morphology changes, and apoptosis in OC cells. Additionally, our findings further demonstrated that hederagenin changed the mitochondrial morphology by suppressing dynamin-related protein 1 (Drp1), a crucial mitochondrial division factor. Moreover, Drp1 overexpression could reverse hederagenin-induced apoptosis, whereas the Drp1 knockdown had the opposite effect. Furthermore, hederagenin may trigger BAX mitochondrial translocation and apoptosis in OC cells. These results provided a novel perspective on the relationship between the modulation of mitochondrial morphology and the suppression of ovarian cancer by hederagenin.

Abstract
AIM To emphasize the role of non-sulfonamides in the treatment of Nocardia infection and reduce the adverse reactions caused by sulfonamides. METHODS We retrospectively analyzed a case of cutaneous nocardiosis in an immunocompetent individual. The colonies obtained by staining the pus in the lesion with antacid and culturing the agar plates were identified by flight mass spectrometry. The pathogenic identification showed Nocardia brasiliensis infection and the patient was treated with amoxicillin-clavulanic acid. RESULTS After treatment with amoxicillin and clavulanic acid, the ulcer gradually peeled and crusted, leaving dark pigmentation. The patient has finally recovered. CONCLUSION Sulfonamides are the first-line antibacterial agents for years in treatment of nocardiosis but are of great toxicity and side effects. This patient was successfully treated with amoxicillin-clavulanic acid and it provided a reference protocol for patients with sulfonamide-resistant Nocardia or sulfonamides intolerance.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The phase III MONALEESA trials tested the efficacy and safety of the cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK)4/6 inhibitor ribociclib with different endocrine therapy partners as first- or second-line treatment of hormone receptor-positive/human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-negative advanced breast cancer (ABC). Using the largest pooled biomarker dataset of the CDK4/6 inhibitor ribociclib in ABC to date, we identified potential biomarkers of response to ribociclib. PATIENTS AND METHODS Baseline circulating tumour DNA from patients in the MONALEESA trials was assessed using next-generation sequencing. An analysis of correlation between gene alteration status and progression-free survival (PFS) was carried out to identify potential biomarkers of response to ribociclib. RESULTS Multiple frequently altered genes were identified. Alterations in ERBB2, FAT3, FRS2, MDM2, SFRP1, and ZNF217 were associated with a greater PFS benefit with ribociclib versus placebo. Patients with high tumour mutational burden (TMB) and with ANO1, CDKN2A/2B/2C, and RB1 alterations exhibited decreased sensitivity to ribociclib versus placebo. CONCLUSIONS Although exploratory, these results provide insight into alterations associated with the improved response to ribociclib treatment and may inform treatment sequencing in patients with actionable alterations following progression on CDK4/6 inhibitors. Validation of potential biomarkers identified here and development of prospective trials testing their clinical utility are warranted. Abstract
Acute Varicella Zoster viral encephalitis in immunocompetent adult patients without cutaneous herpes has rarely been reported. A 24-year-old female was hospitalized for a headache with a fever but without other obvious symptoms. Multiple routine examinations showed no abnormalities. Lumbar puncture indicated intracranial hypertension. The examination of cerebrospinal fluid by metagenomic next-generation sequencing demonstrated acute Varicella Zoster viral encephalitis. The patient's condition improved by treatment with acyclovir for antiviral therapy and mannitol dehydration to lower cranial pressure. Central Varicella Zoster viral infection should be emphasized as it is easily misdiagnosed and rare in clinical settings. Metagenomic next-generation sequencing of cerebrospinal fluid has significant advantages in the diagnosis of Varicella Zoster viral encephalitis.

Abstract
Introduction The complement system is integral to the innate and adaptive immune response, helping antibodies eliminate pathogens. However, the potential role of complement and its modulators in the tumor microenvironment (TME) of gastric cancer (GC) remains unclear. Methods This study assessed the expression, frequency of somatic mutations, and copy number variations of complement family genes in GC derived from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA). Lasso and Cox regression analyses were conducted to develop a prognostic model based on the complement genes family, with the training and validation sets taken from the TCGA-GC cohort (n=371) and the International Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) cohort (n=433), correspondingly. The nomogram assessment model was used to predict patient outcomes. Additionally, the link between immune checkpoints, immune cells, and the prognostic model was investigated. Results In contrast to patients at low risk, those at high risk had a less favorable outcome. The prognostic model-derived risk score was shown to serve as a prognostic marker of GC independently, as per the multivariate Cox analysis. Nomogram assessment showed that the model had high reliability for predicting the survival of patients with GC in the 1, 3, 5 years. Additionally, the risk score was positively linked to the expression of immune checkpoints, notably CTLA4, LAG3, PDCD1, and CD274, according to an analysis of immune processes. The core gene C5aR1 in the prognostic model was found to be upregulated in GC tissues in contrast to adjoining normal tissues, and patients with elevated expressed levels of C5aR1 had lower 10-year overall survival (OS) rates. Conclusion Our work reveals that complement genes are associated with the diversity and complexity of TME. The complement prognosis model help improves our understanding of TME infiltration characteristics and makes immunotherapeutic strategies more effective.

Abstract
Predicting MYC and BCL2 double-expressor lymphoma prognosis using the system immune-inflammatory index (SII) and prognostic nutritional index (PNI) (DEL). From January 2015 to December 2021, 281 diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) wax blocks were used to make tissue chips. Screening double expressor lymphoma (DEL) instances involved immunocytochemistry and fluorescence in situ hybridization. Academic analysis used clinicopathological characteristics and follow-up data. SII, PNI, and DEL prognosis were correlated using univariate and multivariate cox regression analysis. The median age of 78 DEL patients is 60 (range: 43-74). SII and PNI cut-off values of 603.5, 3.07, and 144 predict PFS and OS well. Lower SII is associated with longer PFS (HR for SII = 0.34, 95% CI 0.15-0.76, P = 0.006; HR for NLR = 0.46, 95% CI 0.22-0.99, P = 0.048; HR for PLR = 0.39, 95% CI 0.17-0.94, P = 0.025; LMR = 0.39, 95%, CI 0.17-0.94, P = 0.025) and OS (HR for SII = 0.16, 95% CI 0.05-0.51, P = 0.005; HR for PNI = 0.20, 95% CI 0.06-0.62, P = 0.002). SII and PNI are promising predictors for twofold expressor DLBCL. Combining these increase prediction accuracy.

Abstract
Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is the main subtype of lung cancer. The role of hPCL3 isoforms, hPCL3S and hPCL3L, remains ambiguous. This study examines the functional implications of these isoforms in NSCLC, using lung cancer cell lines A549 and NCI-H226c for in vivo and in vitro analyses. The results indicate that elevated expression of both hPCL3S and hPCL3L correlates with diminished overall survival, although only hPCL3S levels are augmented in clinical NSCLC specimens. Inhibition of either isoform leads to reduced cell proliferation, invasion, and migration, with hPCL3S knockdown displaying superior effectiveness. Moreover, the findings reveal that TRIM21 interacts with both isoforms and mediates hPCL3S degradation through K48-linked ubiquitination in NSCLC cells. Conversely, TRIM21 does not facilitate hPCL3L degradation, despite forming K63-linked polyubiquitin chains. These observations highlight the divergent roles of hPCL3 isoforms in NSCLC and underscore the potential therapeutic value of targeting hPCL3S.

Abstract
Recent studies have shown great performance of Transformer-based models in long-term time series forecasting due to their ability in capturing long-term dependencies. However, Transformers have their limitations when training on small datasets because of their lack in necessary inductive bias for time series forecasting, and do not show significant benefits in short-time step forecasting as well as that in long-time step as the continuity of sequence is not focused on. In this paper, efficient designs in Transformers are reviewed and a design of decomposing residual convolution neural networks or DRCNN is proposed. The DRCNN method allows to utilize the continuity between data by decomposing data into residual and trend terms which are processed by a designed convolution block or DR-Block. DR-Block has its strength in extracting features by following the structural design of Transformers. In addition, by imitating the multi-head in Transformers, a Multi-head Sequence method is proposed such that the network is enabled to receive longer inputs and more accurate forecasts are obtained. The state-of-the-art performance of the presented model are demonstrated on several datasets.

Abstract
Sea cucumber is a morphologically diverse and ecologically important clade of echinoderms. The sea cucumber Apostichopus japonicus is the most economically valuable species of sea cucumber. The initial assembly of the A. japonicus genome was released in 2017. However, this genome assembly is fragmented and lacks relative position information of genes on chromosomes. In this study, we produced a high-quality chromosome-level genome of A. japonicus using Pacbio HiFi long-reads and Hi-C sequencing data. The assembled A. japonicus genome spanned 671.60 Mb with a contig N50 size of 17.20 Mb and scaffold N50 size of 29.65 Mb. A total of 99.9% of the assembly was anchored to 23 chromosomes. In total, 19,828 genes were annotated, and 97.2% of BUSCO genes were fully represented. This high-quality genome of A. japonicus will not only aid in the development of sustainable aquaculture practices, but also lay a foundation for a deeper understanding of their genetic makeup, evolutionary history, and ecological adaptation.

Abstract
Background Gastric cancer (GC) is the fifth leading cancer in the world, and there is a high mortality rate in China. Exploring the relationship between the prognosis of GC and the expression of related genes is helpful to further understand the common characteristics of the occurrence and development of GC and provide a new method for the identification of early GC, so as to provide the best therapeutic targets. Methods Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and markers of epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) were investigated immunohistochemically using tumor samples obtained from 196 GC tissues and adjacent tumor tissues. The correlation of the expression level with histopathologic features and survival was investigated. Results Here, we show that VEGF and EMT markers expression were significantly correlated with depth of tumor invasion and GC stage (P < .05), degree of differentiation and lymph node metastasis (P < .001). We found that the rate of VEGF positivity in GC tissues was 52.05%, which was significantly higher than that in adjacent cancer tissues (16.84%). In GC, the association between VEGF and E-cadherin was negative (r = -0.188, P < .05), whereas VEGF and N-cadherin were positively correlated (r = 0.214, P < .05). Furthermore, the Kaplan-Meier analysis and a Cox regression model were used to analyze the effect of VEGF and EMT marker expression on the survival of the patients. We found that the overall survival of GC patients was correlated with VEGF (P < .001), N-cadherin (P < .001), E-cadherin (P = .002) expression, and some histopathologic features. Conclusions Vascular endothelial growth factor and EMT markers exist side by side and play a part together in the development of GC, which provides new ideas for evaluating the prognosis of GC and researching targeted drugs.

Abstract
Introduction GPR176, an orphan G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR), is essential for the progression of gastrointestinal cancers. However, it is still unclear how GPR176 affects tumor immunity and patient prognosis in gastric cancer (GC). Methods The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) were searched in this investigation to assess the expression patterns of GPR176 in GC tissues and normal gastric mucosa. The findings were further verified using immunohistochemical tests and quantitative Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (qRT-PCR). The Kaplan-Meier method, univariate logistic regression, and Cox regression were then used to investigate the relationship between GPR176 and clinical traits. Additionally, the potential correlation between GPR176, immune checkpoint genes, and immune cell infiltration levels was investigated. Results As per the research findings, GC tissues had higher levels of GPR176 than normal tissues. Additionally, individuals with high expression of GPR176 had a worse 10-year overall survival (OS), in contrast with those having a low expression of GPR176 (p < 0.001). The OS of GC can be predicted using a validated nomogram model. The expression of GPR176 demonstrated a negative correlation with CD8+ T cells. When compared to the low-expression group of GPR176, Tumor Immune Dysfunction and Exclusion (TIDE) analysis demonstrated that the high-expression group had a considerably higher risk of immune evasion. A remarkable difference (variation) was observed in the levels of GPR176 expression across both groups, ie, low and high-risk groups, as determined by the immune phenomenon scores (IPS) immunotherapy assessment. Conclusion By examining GPR176 from various biological perspectives, it was determined that GPR176 can act as a predictive biomarker for poor patient prognosis in GC. Additionally, it was observed that GPR176 is capable of suppressing the proliferation of CD8+ T cells and facilitating immune evasion.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Voriconazole is a new generation of broad-spectrum antifungal agents commonly used in the treatment of invasive aspergillus infections. CASE REPORT We reported a rare case of myopathy induced by voriconazole, which showed severe muscle pain and significantly elevated myocardial enzymes. Enzymes eventually achieved good efficacy by switching voriconazole to micafungin and the use of L-carnitine. CONCLUSIONS This reminded us it was necessary to be vigilant for rare adverse reactions of voriconazole in the population with liver dysfunction, the elderly population, and people with multiple underlying diseases in clinical practice. During medication of voriconazole, close attention should be paid to the occurrence of adverse reactions to avoid life-threatening complications.

Abstract
On occasion, retroviruses infect the genome of germline cell, forming endogenous retroviruses (ERVs), which provide molecular fossils for studying the deep evolution of retroviruses. While ERVs have been extensively characterized in the genomes of jawed vertebrates, much remains contentious and unexplored about the diversity and evolution of ERVs within jawless vertebrates. Here, we report the discovery of a novel ERV lineage, designated EbuERVs, in the genome of a hagfish Eptatretus burgeri. Phylogenetic analyses show that EbuERVs pertain to epsilon-retroviruses and might have derived from cross-species transmission from jawed vertebrates. EbuERVs are estimated to have invaded in the hagfish genome at least tens of millions of years ago. Evolutionary dynamics analyses indicate that EbuERVs might have experienced one proliferation peak and have been not active in transposition anymore. However, some EbuERVs can transcribe in embryo and might serve as lncRNA. Overall, these findings expand the distribution of retroviruses from jawed vertebrates to jawless vertebrates.

Abstract
Objective: To develop asolvent extraction-direct mercury analyzer method for determination of methylmercury in urine. Methods: After the urinehydrolyzesd by hydrobromic acid, methylmercury was extracted by tolueneand reverse-extracted from L-cysteine solution, it was then detectedbydirect mercuryanalyzer. Results: The linear range was 0.2-50.0 μg/L, and the related coefficient was 0.9999. The relative standard deviations (RSD) within the group were 5.04%-6.64%, and the RSD between the group were 5.65%-8.11 %. The average recovery efficiencies were 85.4%-95.5%. The detection limitation was 0.0482 μg/L and the quantification concentrations was 0.1607 μg/L. Conclusion: The method, which has low detection limit, high sensitivity, easy to operate, is stability for the determination of methylmercury in urine.

Abstract
This study reported 2-year efficacy and safety of relma-cel in Chinese patients with relapsed/refractory (R/R) B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (B-NHL). In this phase 1 dose-escalating trial, patients received lymphodepleting chemotherapy for 3 days, followed by relma-cel as a single infusion in escalating dose levels (25 × 106, 50 × 106, 100 × 106, and 150 × 106 CAR-T cells). The endpoints included best objective response rate (ORR), best complete response rate (CRR), duration of response (DOR), progression-free survival (PFS), overall survival (OS), and safety. A total of 23 patients were enrolled, including 60.9% with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma and 26.1% with follicular lymphoma. Twenty patients were evaluable for efficacy, and the best ORR was 85.0% and the best CRR was 75.0%. With a median follow-up of 24.2 months, 6 patients died and 2 had progressive disease, the median DOR, PFS, and OS were all not reached. The 2-year PFS and OS rates were 60.0% and 70.0%, respectively. Any grade and grade ≥ 2 cytokine release syndrome occurred in 18.2% and 13.6% of patients, respectively. Only 1(4.5%) patient had grade 3 CRS lasting 13 days, which was resolved by tocilizumab. No grade ≥ 2 neurotoxicity events or treatment-related deaths occurred. Patients with R/R B-NHL treated with relma-cel achieved durable response with favorable safety profile.

Abstract
The internet facilitates the formation of the information society while also accelerating the viral spread of negative news and negative emotions, increasing public uncertainty and depression and impeding consensus, especially in the post-pandemic period. Mindfulness intervention, which has a positive effect on attention focus, self-regulation, and subjective wellbeing, is proven to mitigate negative emotional effects, and even alter mind patterns. The study aimed to give insight into the effect of mindfulness in the new media field, concerning trait mindfulness improvement, emotional arousal and regulation, and implicit attitudes from the perspective of intra-personal communication and positive communication. The study conducted a randomized pre-test-post-test control group design, with 3 (condition groups: mindfulness vs. placebo vs. control) × 2 (test times: pre vs. post). Participants who were exposed to negative news coverage with negative emotional arousal received 14 consecutive days of intervention. The results showed that mindfulness training can improve trait mindfulness effectively on the whole, especially in facets of describing, acting awareness, and non-judgment, and mitigate the negative effect from bad information coverage, while mindfulness intervention on mind patterns and expectations on controversial issues still awaited future empirical research. The present study intended to bridge the bonding between positive psychology and new media studies by focusing on individual attention improvement and negative emotion regulation, in the expectation that trait mindfulness can be beneficial in individual infodemic syndromes such as judgment bias and information exhaustion, and avoidance.

Abstract
Sterile alpha and HEAT/Armadillo motif-containing protein (SARM) is conserved in evolution and negatively regulates TRIF-dependent Toll signaling in mammals. The SARM protein from Litopenaeus vannamei and its Drosophila orthologue Ectoderm-expressed (Ect4) are also involved in immune defense against pathogen infection. However, the functional mechanism of the protective effect remains unclear. In this study, we show that Ect4 is essential for the viral load in flies after a Drosophila C virus (DCV) infection. Viral load is increased in Ect4 mutants resulting in higher mortality rates than wild-type. Overexpression of Ect4 leads to a suppression of virus replication and thus improves the survival rate of the animals. Ect4 is required for the viral induction of STAT-responsive genes, TotA and TotM. Furthermore, Ect4 interacts with Stat92E, affecting the tyrosine phosphorylation and nuclear translocation of Stat92E in S2 cells. Altogether, our study identifies the adaptor protein Ect4 of the Toll pathway contributes to resistance to viral infection and regulates JAK/STAT signaling pathway.

Abstract
Variations in rainfall negatively affect crop productivity and impose severe climatic conditions in developing regions. Studies that focus on climatic variations such as variability in rainfall and temperature are vital, particularly in predominant rainfed areas. Forecasting rainfall is very essential in the agriculture sector due to the dependence of many people, while it is very complex to accurately predict rainfall due to its dynamic nature. This study aims to present a deep forecasting model based on optimized (Gated Recurrent Unit) GRU neural network to predict rainfall in Pakistan based on the 30 years of climate data from 1991 to 2020. The climatic variables were first extracted and then fine-tuned by eliminating outliers and extreme values from the data set for precise forecasting. Data normalization strategies were further utilized to adjust numeric values into a standard scale without distorting divergences or losing useful information. The proposed model achieved high prediction accuracy by maintaining minimal Normalized Mean Absolute Error (NMAE) and Normalized Root Mean Squared Error (NRMSE) compared to state-of-the-art rainfall forecasting models. Climatic variables used in the forecasting were evaluated in terms of correlation and regression analysis. The correlation results showed that temperature has a negative association and air quality variables have a positive association with rainfall in each quarter of the year. The second and third quarters of the year showed a high association with rainfall, whereas the air quality variables showed a lesser or no association with rainfall during the first and second quarters of the year. The results further showed a strong association of climatic variables with rainfall for all months of the year. The minimal loss achieved by the proposed model also demonstrated the feasibility of selected variables in precise forecasting of rainfall regardless of volatile climatic conditions.

Abstract
Exosomes are small extracellular vesicles that contain nucleic acids such as microRNAs and may participate in important biological processes. We made the initial report of exosomes from sea cucumber Apostichopus japonicus, that were classically cup-shaped and had an average size of 74.65 nm, and identified specific exosome biomarkers (HSP70, TSG101, and CD9). We explored changes in the global expression of microRNAs in exosomes from the commercially important A. japonicus under normal conditions and heat-stressed conditions for 3 and 7 d. We found that heat stress increased exosome production and modified the expression profiles of the microRNAs that they contained. Novel_mir31, novel_mir132, novel_mir26, miR-92_1, and novel_mir27 were commonly found to be differentially expressed in three comparison groups, indicating their importance in the heat stress response. The microRNA expression levels were validated by qPCR. Function analysis of the target genes of these microRNAs indicated they were involved mainly in replication and repair in the initial response of A. japonicus to heat stress exposure. Conversely, during acclimation to the high temperature conditions, the target genes of the differentially expressed microRNAs were primarily involved in metabolism adjustments. Our results will contribute to a better understanding of the regulatory roles of exosomes in sea cucumber, and provide insights into the functions of sea cucumber exosome-shuttled microRNAs against environmental stresses exacerbated by global warming.

Abstract
Introduction Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the most common form of primary liver cancer. It is the fourth leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide. Deregulation of the ATF/CREB family is associated with the progression of metabolic homeostasis and cancer. Because the liver plays a central role in metabolic homeostasis, it is critical to assess the predictive value of the ATF/CREB family in the diagnosis and prognosis of HCC. Methods Using data from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA), this research evaluated the expression, copy number variations, and frequency of somatic mutations of 21 genes in the ATF/CREB family in HCC. A prognostic model based on the ATF/CREB gene family was developed via Lasso and Cox regression analyses, with the TCGA cohort serving as the training dataset and the International Cancer Genome Consortium (ICGC) cohort serving as the validation set. Kaplan-Meier and receiver operating characteristic analyses verified the accuracy of the prognostic model. Furthermore, the association among the prognostic model, immune checkpoints, and immune cells was examined. Results High-risk patients exhibited an unfavorable outcome as opposed to those in the low-risk category. Multivariate Cox analysis revealed that the risk score calculated based on the prognostic model was an independent prognostic factor for HCC. Analysis of immune mechanisms revealed that the risk score had a positive link to the expression of immune checkpoints, particularly CD274, PDCD1, LAG3, and CTLA4. Differences in immune cells and immune-associated roles were found between the high- and low-risk patients, as determined by single-sample gene set enrichment analysis. The core genes ATF1, CREB1, and CREB3 in the prognostic model were shown to be upregulated in HCC tissues as opposed to adjoining normal tissues, and the 10-year overall survival (OS) rate was worse among patients with elevated expression levels of ATF1, CREB1, and CREB3. Elevated expression levels of ATF1, CREB1, and CREB3 in HCC tissues were confirmed by qRT-PCR and immunohistochemistry studies. Conclusion According to the results of our training set and test set, the risk model based on the six ATF/CREB gene signatures predicting prognosis has certain predictive accuracy in predicting the survival of HCC patients. This study provides novel insights into the individualized treatment of patients with HCC.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Scientific, accurate, and rapid detection of the composition and content of tea polyphenols is an important basis for their rational use and giving full play to their physiological effect. The spectrophotometric assays for total polyphenols have poor selectivity. Therefore, there is a need to develop a simple and reliable method for the determination of the total polyphenolic level in tea products. OBJECTIVE The aim of this research was to develop a flow injection chemiluminescence (FI-CL) method based on the Ag(III)-luminol system for the total polyphenol content analysis of tea and substitute tea. METHOD Through Box-Behnken experimental design, we selected the optimum determination condition. The Ag(III) concentration was 5 × 10-5 mol/L, and the luminol concentration was 3 × 10-7 mol/L (including 0.15 mol/L NaOH). The peristaltic pump is 25 r/min, and the photomultiplier voltage is 600 v. Sample extracts were diluted 100 000 times for the FI-CL assay. RESULTS Under optimal conditions, CL intensities were proportional to total polyphenol content (in terms of gallic acid concentrations) in the range of 0.1∼100 μg/L. The LOD and LOQ were 0.03 μg/L and 0.1 μg/L. The recovery values were in the range of 86.3-111.0% with a RSD of 1.04∼2.62%. The polyphenolic content of 12 teas and 6 substitute teas was determined, and the results of the developed method and Folin-Ciocalteu method were highly correlated (r = 0.9493 for tea and r = 0.8533 for substitute tea). CONCLUSIONS The proposed method is better than the Folin-Ciocalteu method in terms of selectivity, sensitivity, and accuracy. It is suitable for the determination of polyphenol content not only in tea, but also in substitute tea. HIGHLIGHTS We developed a new flow-injection analysis method for polyphenolic content determination based on the Ag(III)-luminol chemiluminescence system. It is simple, rapid, sensitive, and accurate. It is suitable for the determination of polyphenols content not only in tea, but also in substitute tea.

Abstract
C5a receptor 1 (C5aR1) is associated with various inflammatory processes, the pathogenesis of immune diseases, and tumor growth. However, its role in the tumor microenvironment of gastric cancer (GC) remains unclear. In this study, the expression of C5aR1 in GC and normal gastric mucosa tissues was compared using data retrieved from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) and The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) databases, and the results were validated by in vitro qRT-PCR and immunohistochemical analyses. The relationship between C5aR1 expression and the overall survival of patients with GC was analyzed using the Kaplan–Meier method. Subsequently, enrichment analysis was performed, and the signaling pathways were screened. C5aR1 expression was also correlated with genes related to the immune checkpoint and immune cell infiltration. The results revealed that C5aR1 expression was enhanced in GC tissues compared to normal gastric tissues, and that patients with high expression of C5aR1 had a worse 10-year overall survival compared to those showing low expression of C5aR1. Functional analysis revealed that C5aR1 is a gene related to theimmune system and may play a crucial role in inflammatory and tumor immune responses. Additionally, C5aR1 showed a positive correlation with most immune checkpoint-related genes and a negative correlation with natural killer cells, dendritic cells, and CD8+ T cells. Immune evasion risk was observed to be significantly greater in patients with higher expression of C5aR1 than in those with lower expression. The results of this study reveal that C5aR1 shapes a non-inflammatory tumor microenvironment in GC and mediates immune evasion.

Abstract
Introduction The virtuality, concealment, uncertainty and complexity of online trading make the online food trading market have security risks, while the lack of information, information asymmetry and imperfect market system make the "lemon problem" in the market increasingly obvious. Methods In order to clearly understand and manage the "lemon problem" in the online food trading market, we built an evolutionary game model involving the seller, buyers and online food trading platform, deeply analyzed the formation process of the "lemon problem" in the online food trading market, and revealed the influencing factors and effects of each subject's strategy choice from the perspectives of subsidy, punishment, cost, and benefit. Results Findings of this study reveal that: (1) In the online food trading market, the strategy of the seller, buyer and platform will be stable in six situations, and the "lemon problem" will emerge with the development and evolution of the online food trading market. (2) The strategy of each subject in the online food trading market will be affected by variables like cost difference between positive performance and negative performance of the seller, punishment from the buyer with positive participation to the seller with negative performance, subsidy from the platform with positive regulation to the seller with positive performance, etc., and different factors have different influence directions and degrees on the subject strategy. (3) In the online food trading market, cost, punishment, subsidy and benefit have different effects on the subject's strategy. Among them, cost and cost difference have the most significant impact on the subject's strategy, followed by punishment and benefit difference, and subsidy and additional benefit have less impact on the subject's strategy. Discussion Based on our study findings, it is proposed that by constructing a complete and standardized system of online food trading market from the aspects of examination and verification institution, reward and punishment institution, and supervision institution, it will be able to provide reference for managing the "lemon problem" in the online food trading market, promoting the sustainable development of the market, and ensuring the safety of online food.

Abstract
Background Trastuzumab is the recommended first-line treatment for human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-positive metastatic breast cancer (MBC) patients in China, but therapeutic resistance to trastuzumab and other early-line treatments is common and late-line treatment options are limited. Derived from the same murine precursor antibody, margetuximab has enhanced anti-tumor activity compared with trastuzumab and may be an effective late-line treatment. However, data regarding the use of margetuximab in pre-treated Chinese patients are scarce. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of margetuximab plus chemotherapy vs. trastuzumab plus chemotherapy in Chinese patients, and to determine whether the results are consistent with the clinical benefit of margetuximab observed in the pivotal global phase III study. Methods In this randomized, open-label, multicenter, phase II bridging study, eligible Chinese patients pretreated with ≥2 lines of anti-HER2 therapies were randomized 1:1 by stratified block randomization to margetuximab (15 mg/kg over at least 120 minutes) or trastuzumab (6 mg/kg over at least 30 minutes), each administered intravenously once every 21-day cycle and plus chemotherapy. Disease assessment was conducted once every two treatment cycles (6 weeks ± 7 days). The primary endpoint was progression-free survival (PFS) by blinded independent central review (BICR). Secondary endpoints included overall survival (OS), investigator-assessed PFS, objective response rate (ORR), duration of response (DoR), clinical benefit rate (CBR), and the incidence and severity of treatment-emergent adverse events (TEAEs). Results Between February 4, 2020 and February 23, 2021, 123 patients were randomized to the margetuximab (n=62) and trastuzumab (n=61) arms. Among them, 15 and 7 patients, respectively, were still on study treatment as of data cut-off (September 3, 2021). Overall, 99.2% were female, median age was 53 years old. All patients were pretreated with trastuzumab, and 83.7% and 25.2%, respectively, were pretreated with tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) and pertuzumab. Baseline characteristics were numerically balanced between arms. BICR-assessed median PFS (mPFS) was 5.5 months in the margetuximab arm and 4.1 months in the trastuzumab arm, with a hazard ratio (HR) of 0.69 [95% confidence interval (CI): 0.43-1.12], which met the consistency criterion (HR <0.88) for bridging success. Median investigator-assessed PFS was 5.5 months in the margetuximab arm and 4.0 months in the trastuzumab arm (HR =0.63; 95% CI: 0.41-0.96). Median OS (mOS) was not yet reached. Both ORR and CBR were greater in the margetuximab arm (25.5% vs. 12.5%; 32.7% vs. 14.3%). Safety results were numerically comparable between the two arms. Anti-HER2 treatment-related infusion-related reactions (IRRs) were more common in the margetuximab arm than in the trastuzumab arm (12.9% vs. 1.7%). All IRRs could be resolved. Conclusions Margetuximab was effective and well-tolerated in this study, supporting its clinical use in pretreated HER2-positive MBC patients in China. Abstract
Background Research has revealed that Plexin domain containing 1 (PLXDC1) is correlated with the prognosis of a variety of tumors, but its role in the tumor microenvironment (TME) of gastric cancer has not been reported. Methods In this study, we analyzed PLXDC1 expression in gastric cancer using the Oncomine and the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) databases and immunohistochemical staining experiments, and performed prognostic assessment with data from the TCGA and Kaplan–Meier Plotter databases. The immunomodulatory role of PLXDC1 in the gastric cancer TME was analyzed by signaling pathway enrichment, immune cell correlation analysis, immunomodulator risk model construction and immunohistochemical staining experiments of immune cells. Results The results indicated that PLXDC1 was overexpressed in gastric cancer and that its overexpression was associated with poor prognosis. Multivariate Cox analysis revealed that PLXDC1 could be an independent biomarker of the risk of gastric cancer. Signaling pathway enrichment revealed that high PLXDC1 expression was involved in signaling pathways related to immune activation and stromal activation, and Tumor Immune Dysfunction and Exclusion (TIDE) assessment indicated that high PLXDC1 expression was associated with a significantly higher risk of immune evasion than low PLXDC1 expression. A Cox risk model based on PLXDC1-associated immunomodulators also presented poor prognosis, and immune evasion was significantly higher in the high-risk group than in the low-risk group. In addition, immunohistochemical staining of CD8/CD3/CD4+ T cells in the high and low PLXDC1 expression groups also observed immune cell distribution characteristics of immune evasion. Conclusion This study analyzed PLXDC1 from multiple biological perspectives and revealed that PLXDC1 can be a biomarker for poor prognosis and immune evasion in gastric cancer.

Abstract
Apostichopus japonicus achieves intestinal regeneration in a short period after evisceration, and multiple genes are involved in this process. The transcriptome of A. japonicus was screened for regeneration-associated protein (Aj-Orpin), a gene that is specifically upregulated during intestinal regeneration. The expression and function of Aj-Orpin were identified and investigated in this study. The 5′ and 3′ RACE polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was used to clone the full-length cDNA of Aj-Orpin. The open reading frame codes for a 164 amino-acid protein with an EF-hand_7 domain and overlapping signal peptides and transmembrane regions. Moreover, Aj-Orpin mRNA and protein expression during intestinal regeneration was investigated using real-time quantitative PCR and Western blot. The expression pattern of Aj-Orpin in the regenerating intestine was investigated using immunohistochemistry. The results showed that Aj-Orpin is an exocrine protein with two EF-hand-like calcium-binding domains. Expression levels were higher in the regenerating intestine than in the normal intestine, but protein expression changes lagged behind mRNA expression changes. Aj-Orpin was found to play a role in the formation of blastema and lumen. It was primarily expressed in the serosal layer and submucosa, suggesting that it might be involved in proliferation. These observations lay the foundation for understanding the role of Orpin-like in echinoderm intestinal regeneration.

Abstract
When encountering adverse environmental conditions, some holothurians can eject their internal organs in a process called evisceration. As global warming intensified, eviscerated and intact sea cucumbers both experience heat stress, but how they performed was uncertain. We constructed 24 metabolomics profiles to reveal the metabolite changes of eviscerated and intact sea cucumbers under normal and high temperature conditions, respectively. Carboxylic acids and fatty acyls were the most abundant metabolic categories in evisceration and heat stress treatments, respectively. Neural transduction was involved in sea cucumber evisceration and stress response, and the commonly enriched pathway was "neuroactive ligand-receptor interaction". Lipid metabolism in eviscerated sea cucumbers differed from those of intact individuals and was more seriously affected by heat stress. Choline is a key metabolite for revealing the evisceration mechanism. Our results contribute to understanding the mechanisms of evisceration in sea cucumbers, and how sea cucumbers might respond to increasingly warming ocean conditions.

Abstract
Background Cerebral hemorrhage, also known as hemorrhagic stroke, is a common clinical cerebrovascular disease, accounting for about 10%-30% of stroke, with high morbidity and mortality. Objective To observe the effect of optimal management of hyperglycemia and intensive nursing on blood glucose control level and complications in patients with postoperative cerebral hemorrhage. Methods One hundred and eight patients with postoperative cerebral hemorrhage comorbid with stress hyperglycemia admitted to our neurosurgery department from February 2019 to February 2022 were selected and divided into a general group of 54 cases and an optimized group of 54 cases by simple random method. The general group was managed with conventional care, while the optimized group developed optimized management of hyperglycemia for intensive care. The indexes related to blood glucose control, electrolytes, National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) scores, Barthel Index (BI) scores, and time to achieve blood glucose standard, insulin pumping time, patient satisfaction, and prognosis were compared between the two groups. Results Before intervention, there was no statistical significance in the comparison of blood glucose control-related indicators and electrolytes between the two groups (P > 0.05). After 7 d and 14 d of intervention, the fasting blood glucose and 2 h postprandial blood glucose in the two groups were lower than before, while K+ and Na+ were higher than before (P < 0.05). The blood glucose indexes at the same time point in the optimized group were found to be lower than those in the general group by statistical analysis, but electrolytes were not statistically significant when compared with the general group (P > 0.05). In the optimized group, the time to achieve blood glucose standard (6.59 ± 1.94) d and insulin pumping time (7.14 ± 1.89) d were shorter than those in the general group [(7.48 ± 2.12) d and (8.58 ± 2.14) d], insulin dosage (748.85 ± 63.61) U was less than that in the general group (923.54 ± 84.14) U, and the incidence of hypoglycemia (3.70%) was lower than that in the general group (16.67%), and the satisfaction rate (92.59%) was higher than that of the general group (77.78%), which was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Before intervention, there was no significant difference in NIHSS score and BI score between the two groups (P > 0.05). After 7 d and 14 d of intervention, the NIHSS scores of the two groups were lower than before, while the BI scores were higher than before, and the NIHSS scores of the optimized group at the same time point were all lower than those of the general group, and the BI scores were higher than those of the general group (P < 0.05). The incidence of pulmonary infection (11.11%) and rebleeding (7.41%) in the optimized group were lower than those in the general group (25.93% and 22.22%), while deep vein thrombosis, multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS), and death within 28 d was not statistically significant when compared with the general group (P > 0.05). Conclusion Optimal management of hyperglycemia and intensive nursing can effectively control the blood sugar level of patients after cerebral hemorrhage, reducing insulin dosage, and the occurrence of hypoglycemia, pulmonary infection, and rebleeding.

Abstract
Background The stromal antigen 3 (STAG3) gene encodes an adhesion complex subunit that can regulate sister chromatid cohesion during cell division. Chromosome instability caused by STAG3 gene mutation may potentially promote tumor progression, but the effect of STAG3 on hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and the related molecular mechanism are not reported in the literature. The mechanism of the occurrence and development of HCC is not adequately understood. Therefore, the biological role of STAG3 in HCC remains to be studied, and whether STAG3 might be a sensitive therapeutic target in HCC remains to be determined. Methods The expression and clinical significance of STAG3 in HCC tissues and cell lines were determined by RT–qPCR and immunohistochemistry analyses. The biological functions of STAG3 in HCC were determined through in vitro and in vivo cell function tests. The molecular mechanism of STAG3 in HCC cells was then investigated by western blot assay. Results The mRNA expression of STAG3 was lower in most HCC cells than in normal cells. Subsequently, an immunohistochemical analysis of STAG3 was performed with 126 samples, and lower STAG3 expression was associated with worse overall survival in HCC patients. Moreover, cytofunctional tests revealed that the lentivirus-mediated overexpression of STAG3 in HCC cells inhibited cell proliferation, migration, and invasion; promoted apoptosis; induced G1/S phase arrest in vitro; and inhibited tumor growth in vivo. Furthermore, studies of the molecular mechanism suggested that the overexpression of STAG3 increased Smad3 expression and decreased CDK4, CDK6, cyclin D1, CXCR4 and RhoA expression. Conclusion STAG3 exhibits anticancer effects against HCC, and these effects involve the Smad3-CDK4/CDK6-cyclin D1 and CXCR4/RhoA pathways. STAG3 is a tumor-suppressor gene that may serve as a potential target for molecular therapy, which provides a new idea for the treatment of HCC. Abstract
Simple Summary Many species of sea cucumber in Echinodermata may eviscerate most of or even all internal organs when encountering predators or adverse environments, and can achieve regeneration within a certain time. Although regeneration time varies, the mechanism is common. This paper reviewed the intestinal regeneration process of sea cucumbers from the perspectives of histocytology and molecular mechanism. Echinodermata has a special evolutionary position between achordate and chordate, so we hope to explore the common regeneration conserved signals between invertebrates and vertebrates by recording the intestinal regeneration of sea cucumbers. Abstract Most species of the class Holothuroidea are able to regenerate most of their internal organs following a typical evisceration process, which is a unique mechanism that allows sea cucumbers to survive in adverse environments. In this review, we compare autotomy among different type of sea cucumber and summarize the histocytological events that occur during the five stages of intestinal regeneration. Multiple cytological activities, such as apoptosis and dedifferentiation, take place during wound healing and anlage formation. Many studies have focused on the molecular regulation mechanisms that underlie regeneration, and herein we describe the techniques that have been used as well as the development-related signaling pathways and key genes that are significantly expressed during intestinal regeneration. Future analyses of the underlying mechanisms responsible for intestinal regeneration should include mapping at the single-cell level. Studies of visceral regeneration in echinoderms provide a unique perspective for understanding whole-body regeneration or appendage regeneration.

Abstract
Ankyrin repeat and fibronectin type III domain containing 1 (ANKFN1) is reported to be involved in human height and developmental abnormalities, but the expression profile and molecular function of ANKFN1 in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remain unknown. This study aimed to evaluate the clinical significance and biological function of ANKFN1 in HCC and investigate whether ANKFN1 can be used for differential diagnosis in HCC. Here, we showed that ANKFN1 was upregulated in 126 tumor tissues compared with adjacent nontumorous tissues in HCC patients. The upregulation of ANKFN1 in HCC was associated with cirrhosis, alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) levels and poor prognosis. Moreover, silencing ANKFN1 expression suppressed HCC cell proliferation, migration, invasion, and metastasis in vitro and subcutaneous tumorigenesis in vivo. However, ANKFN1 overexpression promoted HCC proliferation and metastasis in an orthotopic liver transplantation model and attenuated the above biological effects in HCC cells. ANKFN1 significantly affected HCC cell proliferation by inducing G1/S transition and cell apoptosis. Mechanistically, we demonstrated that ANKFN1 promoted cell proliferation, migration, and invasion via activation of the cyclin D1/Cdk4/Cdk6 pathway by stimulating the MEK1/2-ERK1/2 pathway. Moreover, ANKFN1-induced cell proliferation, migration, and invasion were partially reversed by ERK1/2 inhibitors. Taken together, our results indicate that ANKFN1 promotes HCC cell proliferation and metastasis by activating the MEK1/2-ERK1/2 signaling pathway. Our work also suggests that ANKFN1 is a potential therapeutic target for HCC.

Abstract
The ability of the food industry to practice a high degree of corporate social responsibility is related to whether national food safety can be effectively guaranteed. By taking the food enterprises in China’s A-share listed companies from 2009–2018, this paper probes into the influence of China’s macroeconomic policy uncertainty on corporate social responsibility, and depicts the differencent impact of enterprise’s practice of social responsibility under government association and market association, respectively. The results firstly show that, the uncertainty of economic policy has a negative effect on the social responsibility of food enterprises, with a regression coefficient of -0.013. Secondly, nonstate-owned enterprises are more vulnerable to macroeconomic fluctuations in the practice of social responsibility. Thirdly, in the case of greater economic policy uncertainty, enterprises with stronger market connections in the food industry tend to be more conservative in their CSR. The above research results not only verify the path of transmission of economic policy uncertainty to corporate social responsibility, but also provide important ideas and references for improving the level of corporate social responsibility in the food industry and ensuring food safety.

Abstract
Eu2+ -, Mn2+ - and Eu2+ -Mn2+ -doped CaMgSi2 O6 phosphors have been prepared by a high-temperature solid-state reaction. Systematic investigation of the concentration- and temperature-dependent luminescence of Mn2+ showed that Mn2+ ions occupy two distinct sites in CaMgSi2 O6 . Electron-vibration interaction (EVI) analyses of Mn2+ ions revealed Huang-Rhys factors of 4.73 and 2.82 as well as effective phonon energies of 313 and 383 cm-1 for the two sites. Eu2+ -Mn2+ energy transfer is also discussed, and its efficiency is estimated by lifetime and luminescence spectra. The different thermal quenching behaviours of Eu2+ and Mn2+ , the distinct emission colours of Eu2+ (blue, band peak at ∼451 nm) and Mn2+ (yellow-red range, band peaks at ∼583 and 693 nm) endow the co-doped samples with potential applications in luminescence thermometry and temperature-/excitation wavelength-responsive dual anti-counterfeiting.

Abstract
Ce3+-doped LiSr4(BO3)3 phosphors have been prepared by a high-temperature solid-state reaction method, and structural refinement of the host compound has been performed. The excitation and emission spectra in the vacuum ultraviolet-ultraviolet-visible range at cryogenic temperatures reveal that Ce3+ ions preferentially occupy eight-coordinated Sr2+ sites in LiSr4(BO3)3. Such experimental attribution is well corroborated by the calculated 4f-5d transition energies and defect formation energies of Ce3+ ions at two distinct Sr2+ sites in the first-principles framework. In addition, the doping concentration-dependent luminescence and the temperature-dependent luminescence are systematically investigated by luminescence intensity and lifetime measurements, respectively. This shows that concentration quenching does not occur in the investigated doping range, but inhomogeneous broadening exists in the concentrated samples. With the estimated thermal quenching activation energy, the discussions on the thermal quenching mechanisms suggest that the thermal-ionization process of the 5d electron is a dominant channel for thermal quenching of Ce3+ luminescence, despite the fact that thermally activated concentration quenching cannot be excluded for the highly doped samples. Finally, the X-ray excited luminescence measurement demonstrates the promising applications of the phosphors in X-ray detection.

Abstract
Background: Chondroitin sulphate synthase 3 (CHSY3) is an important enzyme that regulates glycosylation, but it has not been reported in tumours. This study explored for the first time the oncological features of CHSY3 in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD). Methods: We analysed CHSY3 expression in STAD through the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database and verified our findings by immunohistochemical staining and Western blot experiments. The prognostic value of CHSY3 in STAD was analysed through the biological aspects of CHSY3 in STAD, such as communal clinical follow-up survival data, methylation sites, tumour immune microenvironment (TIME) and immune cell surface checkpoints. Finally, the immune-evasion potential of CHSY3 in STAD was assessed on the Tumor Immune Dysfunction and Exclusion (TIDE) website and immunohistochemical staining experiment. Results:CHSY3 overexpression in STAD was associated with a poor prognosis based on immunohistochemical staining and Western blot experiments. Multivariate Cox analysis suggested that CHSY3 could be an independent prognostic risk factor. Pathway enrichment and TIME analysis demonstrated that CHSY3 up-regulated mesenchymal activation and immune activation signals in STAD, while TIDE assessment revealed that the risk of immune evasion was significantly higher in the high CHSY3 expression group than in the low CHSY3 expression group. Risk model scores based on CHSY3-associated immune cell surface checkpoints also presented poor prognosis, and immune evasion was significantly higher in the high-risk group than in the low-risk group. Conclusions: This study analysed CHSY3 from multiple biological perspectives and revealed that CHSY3 can be a biomarker of poor prognosis and mediates the TIME immune-evasion status in STAD.

Abstract
The occurrence of primary malignant peripheral neurilemmoma in the female cervix without neurofibromatosis type 1 is extremely rare. We, herein, report a case of a 46-year woman with malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor (MPNST) involving the cervix. The patient was admitted to the hospital because of irregular vaginal bleeding. Pelvic CT suggested the presence of cervical mass, and the patient accepted radical hysterectomy. Following the surgery, MPNST was diagnosed by a combination of histology and immunohistochemistry. One year later, the patient developed recurrence and pulmonary metastasis and received sequentially epiubicin/ifosfamide, dacarbazine, and etoposide/cisplatin multi-line chemotherapy. The prognosis of MPNST is poor, which is related to its invasiveness, high recurrence and metastasis rates. The patient was treated with surgery, multi-line chemotherapy and targeted therapy, but the overall survival (OS) was 44 months. It is the first reported case of cervical MPNST receiving combined treatment. Key Words: Malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor, Cervix, Pulmonary metastasis, Hysterectomy, Chemotherapy.

Abstract
Development of soft actuators with complex practical functions is significant for imitating the behaviors of living organisms. However, it is still a challenge to fabricate artificial soft actuators with jellyfish-like synergistic deformation and fluorescence color change (SDFC) and autonomous dynamic behavior, but such a system could obviously endow the classic soft actuators with more functions. Herein, we proposed to utilize tetra(4-pyridylphenyl)ethylene (TPE-4N) luminogen with pH-responsive aggregation-induced emission (AIE) to fabricate the AIE active hydrogel, which could be further employed to obtain an anisotropic bilayer soft actuator based on strong interfacial adhesion with acrylic acid (AA) gels. Furthermore, artificial flower-shape actuators showing SDFC behaviors were demonstrated. On the basis of these findings, jellyfish-inspired autonomous gel actuators driven by a pH oscillator have been fabricated, in which periodical SDFC behaviors completely regulated by the system itself without repetitive on/off switches of external stimuli were well synchronized with the pH oscillator. The described combination of nonlinear chemistry and responsive hydrogels actuator opens pathways toward out-of-equilibrium SDFC devices with autonomous behavior useful for biomimetic fields.

Abstract
To collect and sort out key measures in the process of disposing SARS pathogen in China in 2003 and afterward. Based on the perspective of public crisis management, analyze the main factors that may cause a public crisis in a sudden and important epidemic situation. This paper explores the possible factors that induced public crises during the handling of epidemic events, and then combs the path from public events to public crisis events. We find that urban residents are more sensitive than rural residents, and are prone to cause multiple public crises, which last longer and have greater intensity. Although the duration of public crisis is relatively short and the intensity is relatively low, the importance and urgency of public crisis incident handling and emergency countermeasures formulating cannot be ignored. At the same time, as all levels and departments are pursuing the goal of maximizing their own interests, the contradiction between the individual rationality of each level and each department and the collective rationality of the entire society will inevitably arise. Accelerating the establishment of social contradictions and emergency evolution models and coping mechanisms of the multi-layered and multi-sectoral dynamic gambling, so as to better build a warning and emergency management system of social contradiction and emergency public emergency. Finally, there is a gap in the education of citizens' crisis awareness and response ability. The public generally has poor social alertness, lack of crisis knowledge, low level of public participation in early warning, and inadequate ability of government officials.

Abstract
The development of acid-resistant and efficient corrosion inhibitors is of great significance for metal protection in many industrial processes. In this work, eight cases of sandwich-type polyoxometalate (POM)-based inorganic-organic hybrids, namely, carboxyethyltin and transition metal (TM) cofunctionalized tungstoantimonates and tungstobismuthates, formulated as Na x K10-x [(SnR)2(TM(H2O)3)2(B-β-SbW9O33)2]·mH2O and Na y K10-y [(SnR)2(TM(H2O)3)2(B-β-BiW9O33)2]·nH2O (abbreviated as SbW9-TM-SnR and BiW9-TM-SnR; TM = Mn, Co, Ni, and Zn; m = 18, 24, 24, and 22; n = 30, 25, 20, and 21; SnR = Sn(CH2CH2COO)) are first used as green corrosion inhibitors for 20# carbon steel in 0.5-2.0 M HCl solutions. Weight loss and electrochemical experiments prove that the corrosion inhibition efficiency is all above 81% for these POM-based corrosion inhibitors at 150 mg L-1, and SbW9-Mn-SnR shows the highest efficiency of 96.9% at 150 mg L-1 after immersion in a 0.5 M HCl solution for 10 h. Scanning electron microscopy-energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analyses show that these POM-based inhibitors form films on the carbon steel and the adsorption mechanism obeys the Langmuir adsorption model. The thermodynamic activation parameters were calculated, proving the occurrence of both chemical and physical adsorptions. The film-forming mechanism was also analyzed. This work provides guidance for synthesizing new lacunary POM-based materials to protect metals from corrosion in HCl pickling.

Abstract
Public environmental cognition is an important basis for optimizing environmental management and reducing tensions between humans and land. Although the level of environmental cognition is a gradual process under normal conditions, it often changes qualitatively because of major public emergencies. During the 2019 new coronavirus epidemic (COVID-19), the most significant public health event in recent years, 24,188 national samples were obtained based on a network survey. The comprehensive evaluation method was used to assess the impact of major public events on public environmental cognition and the characteristics of spatial and temporal distribution. The findings are as follows. (1) During the epidemic period, sudden public health emergencies effectively promoted the national residents’ environmental awareness, whether urban residents or rural; most respondents generally agreed with the concept of “respect nature and cherish life”. (2) The environmental cognition of national residents was higher in the northwest and lower in the northeast of China, which is suitable for economic and social development and humanistic tradition. (3) There was a clear positive correlation between environmental awareness and education level. (4) During the epidemic, nervousness of respondents had a negative effect on environmental cognition. This study provides scientific support and a basis for decision making for the government to carry out environmental management optimization and improve the ecological and environmental cognition of the public, as well as devise effective intervention mechanisms with different time and space dimensions for similar future public health emergencies.

Abstract
Lignocellulose degraded maize straw (LMS) was prepared with the interaction of soil-indigenous microorganisms and further deployed to attenuate the Cd contamination in polluted soil. The Lignocellulose degrading ratio was determined and results revealed the significant degradation of cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin by 33.03, 26.7 and 15.97% respectively as compared to pristine maize straw (PS). Moreover, LMS was also categorized through FE-SEM, FTIR, BET analysis, elemental analysis and XPS technique and the analytical results indicated that lignocellulose structure in maize straw was successfully degraded and was involved in metal-ion complexation. Batch sorption trials revealed that Cd2+ sorption onto LMS was explained well by Langmuir isotherm and pseudo-second-order kinetic model. The LMS showed maximum adsorption capacities (9.84 mg g-1) for Cd2+ as compared to PS (3.30 mg g-1). Moreover, the soil incubation trials (60 days) depicted the availability of Cd decreased by 11.03 and 34.7% with PS and LMS application respectively. The addition of LMS significantly decreased the exchangeable fractions of Cd and ensued an increase in organic matter and Fe-Mn oxides bound fractions. This work clarified the LMS as a promising amendment for effective remediation of Cd-contaminated matrices.

Abstract
Purpose Papillary renal cell carcinoma (PRCC) is a common renal cell carcinoma. Recent studies have reported that ferroptosis is involved in the occurrence and development of tumors. Long non-coding RNAs can be used as independent biomarkers for the diagnosis and prognosis of a variety of tumors. Methods Gene expression profile and clinical information of patients with PRCC were obtained from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database. Lasso penalized Cox regression and univariate Cox regression analysis were utilized for model construction. The Kaplan–Meier (K-M) and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were plotted to validate the predictive effect of the prognostic signature. Immune cell infiltration and immune function were compared between the high-risk and low-risk groups. Chemotherapy sensitivity analysis was also performed. Results We constructed a prognostic signature consisting of 15 ferroptosis-related lncRNAs. The K-M curves validated the fine predictive accuracy of the prognostic signature (p < 0.001). The area under the curve (AUC) of the lncRNA signature was 0.930, exhibiting robust prognostic capacity. The high-risk group had a greater degree of immune cell infiltration than the low-risk group. Significant differences in inflammation promotion, parainflammation, and type I IFN response were noted between the low-risk and high-risk groups (p < 0.01). The expression levels of immune checkpoints including CD80, IDO1, and LAG3 were significantly higher in the high-risk group than in the low-risk group (p < 0.05). Chemotherapy sensitivity analysis showed that MNX1-AS1, ZFAS1, MIR4435-2HG, and ADAMTS9-AS1 were significantly correlated with the sensitivity of some chemotherapy drugs (p < 0.05). Conclusion We demonstrated that a ferroptosis-related lncRNA prognostic signature could be a novel biomarker for PRCC.
