Abstract
BACKGROUND Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a therapeutic approach that is gaining attention for its potential in the treatment of poor ovarian response. This meta-analysis aimed to systematically review and analyze clinical studies to evaluate the impact of PRP on poor responders undergoing ovarian stimulation for IVF. METHODS A comprehensive search was conducted in electronic databases, including PubMed, Embase, Scopus, Web of Science, and the Cochrane Library to identify relevant studies published in English. The pooled data, such as pregnancy outcome, number of MII oocytes, number of transferable embryos, and ovarian reserve markers were analyzed using R version 4.2.3. RESULTS A total of 10 trials were enrolled in the present meta-analysis. Following PRP treatment, live birth rate was found to be 16.6% (95% CI 8.8%-26.1%), while clinical pregnancy rate was observed to be 25.4% (95% CI 13.1%-39.9%). PRP pretreatment resulted in a higher number of MII oocytes (MD 1.073, 95% CI 0.720 to 1.427), a higher number of embryos (MD 0.946, 95% CI 0.569 to 1.323), a higher antral follicle count (MD 1.117; 95% CI 0.689 to 1.544), and the change of hormone levels. CONCLUSIONS Among the studies evaluated in this review, PRP showed promising results in poor responder. Further research is required to clarify the potential role of PRP in female reproductive health.

Abstract
Peanut production is threatened by climate change. Damage to seedlings from low temperatures in early spring can limit yield. Plant adaptations to chilling stress remain unclear in peanut seedlings. It is essential to understand how peanut acquires chilling tolerance. We evaluated effects of chilling stress on growth and recovery of peanut seedlings. We compared and analysed biological characteristics, antioxidants, photosynthesis, biochemical and physiological responses, and nutrient absorption at varying levels of chilling. Compared with chilling-sensitive FH18, the reduced impact of chilling stress on chilling-tolerant NH5 was associated with reduced ROS accumulation, higher ascorbate peroxidase activity and soluble sugar content, lower soluble protein content, and smaller reductions in nutrient content during stress. After removal of chilling stress, FH18 had significant accumulation of O2 •- and H2O2, which decreased photosynthesis, nutrient absorption, and transport. ROS-scavenging reduced damage from chilling stress, allowed remobilization of nutrients, improved chilling tolerance, and restored plant functioning after chilling stress removal. These findings provide a reference for targeted research on peanut seedling tolerance to chilling and lay the foundation for bioinformatics-based research on peanut chilling tolerance mechanisms.

Survival assessment of nephron-sparing surgery or radical nephrectomy in children with unilateral Wilms tumor receiving adjuvant chemotherapy: a retrospective cross-sectional study. Abstract
OBJECTIVE Surgical treatment of unilateral Wilms tumor (WT) in children is controversial. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the survival and prognosis of radical nephrectomy (RN) and nephron-sparing surgery (NSS) in children with unilateral WT receiving adjuvant chemotherapy. PATIENTS AND METHODS Data on pediatric patients with WT were collected from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database from 2000 to 2019. Multivariate logistic regression was used to analyze factors influencing the choice of surgical strategy. Cox proportional hazard models were used to assess factors associated with overall survival. RESULTS We included 1,825 patients with unilateral WT (<14 years) who received adjuvant chemotherapy and surgery. Between 2000 and 2019, the percentage of patients treated with NSS increased from 4% in 2000 to 8% in 2019. There was no significant difference in 10-year overall survival between the two surgical strategies [NSS vs. RN, 93.26% (95% CI, 86.88%-100%) vs. 92.17% (95% CI, 90.75%-93.61%), p=0.98]. Patients with unilateral WTs ≤4 cm were more likely to be treated with NSS. There was no survival benefit for patients treated with RN compared with that for those treated with NSS (HR, 0.74; 95% CI, 0.29-1.86; p=0.5). CONCLUSIONS The use of NSS in children with unilateral WT has increased over the last two decades. Tumor size is an important influencing factor for the surgical application of NSS. Patients who underwent NSS had an equivalent OS compared with the overall group of patients with unilateral tumors who received RN.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Bacteria are the main pathogens that cause sepsis. The pathogenic mechanisms of sepsis caused by gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria are completely different, and their prognostic differences in sepsis remain unclear. METHODS The PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, and Embase databases were searched for Chinese and English studies (January 2003 to September 2023). Observational studies involving gram-negative (G (-))/gram-positive (G (+)) bacterial infection and the prognosis of sepsis were included. The stability of the results was evaluated by sensitivity analysis. Funnel plots and Egger tests were used to check whether there was publication bias. A meta-regression analysis was conducted on the results with high heterogeneity to identify the source of heterogeneity. A total of 6949 articles were retrieved from the database, and 45 studies involving 5586 subjects were included after screening according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines. Twenty-seven high-quality studies and 18 moderate-quality studies were identified according to the Newcastle‒Ottawa Scale score. There was no significant difference in the survival rate of sepsis caused by G (-) bacteria and G (+) bacteria (OR 0.95, 95% CI 0.70-1.28). Subgroup analysis according to survival follow-up time showed no significant difference. The serum concentrations of C-reactive protein (CRP) (SMD = 0.39, 95% CI 0.02-0.76), procalcitonin (SMD = 1.95, 95% CI 1.32-2.59) and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) (MD = 0.31, 95% CI 0.25-0.38) in the G (-) bacterial infection group were significantly higher than those in the G (+) bacterial infection group, but there was no significant difference in IL-6 (SMD = 1.33, 95% CI - 0.18-2.84) and WBC count (MD = - 0.15, 95% CI - 0.96-00.66). There were no significant differences between G (-) and G (+) bacteria in D dimer level, activated partial thromboplastin time, thrombin time, international normalized ratio, platelet count, length of stay or length of ICU stay. Sensitivity analysis of the above results indicated that the results were stable. CONCLUSION The incidence of severe sepsis and the concentrations of inflammatory factors (CRP, PCT, TNF-α) in sepsis caused by G (-) bacteria were higher than those caused by G (+) bacteria. The two groups had no significant difference in survival rate, coagulation function, or hospital stay. The study was registered with PROSPERO (registration number: CRD42023465051).

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the PET/CT imaging features of fluoride 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose (18F-FDG) in patients with various types of Parkinson's syndrome (PS), and to establish a "diagnostic tree" model of 18F-FDG PET/CT for PS. Methods: Data of patients with Parkinson's disease (PD), patients with multiple system atrophy cerebellar type (MSA-C), and patients with multiple system atrophy Parkinson's type (MSA-P)admitted to the Neurology Department of Huashan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University from January 2019 to December 2021. 18F-FDG PET/CT examination was conducted in all patients. Clinical and follow-up data was collected to determine clinical diagnosis. The specific patterns of brain glucose metabolism in patients with various types of Parkinsonism were observed and their utility in the differential diagnosis of the disease was analyzed. 18F-FDG PET/CT imaging"diagnostic tree"model was established and its value in the differential diagnosis of Parkinsonism was verified. Results: A total of 320 patients, 187 males and 133 females, aged (62±9) years, were enrolled in our study, including 80 PD, 90 PSP, 114 MSA-C and 36 MSA-P patients. The differential diagnostic features of cerebral glucose metabolism of Parkinsonism were as follows: the metabolism of putamen increased in PD patients, the metabolism of caudate nucleus, thalamus, midbrain, and frontal lobe decreased in PSP patients, the metabolism of cerebellum decreased in MSA-C patients, and the metabolism of putamen and cerebellum decreased in MSA-P patients. The sensitivity and specificity of the"diagnostic tree"model are 88.75% and 91.25% for PD diagnosis, 54.44% and 96.96% for PSP diagnosis, 87.72% and 86.41% for MSA-C diagnosis, and 55.56% and 91.55% for MSA-P diagnosis, respectively. It could correctly classify 75%(240/320) of patients. Conclusions: Characteristic metabolism patterns of brain in 18F-FDG PET/CT imaging is significant for the differential diagnosis of PD, PSP, MSA-C and MSA-P. The"diagnostic tree"model is valuable for clinical diagnosis.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is one of the complications of diabetes and has a high mortality, but its specific pathogenesis is not clear. In recent years, researches on the mechanism of circRNAs in DN have been proved a lot, whereas the functional mechanism of circ_0003928 in DN remains open and it must be investigated to value its important role in DN prevention. METHODS HK-2 cells were treated with high glucose (HG), normal glucose (NG) or Mannitol. Cell counting kit-8 (CCK8) and 5-ethynyl-2'-deoxyuridine (EdU) assays were performed to detect cell proliferation. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was applied to analyze malondialdehyde (MDA) and superoxide dismutase 1 (SOD) levels. Flow cytometry and western blot were preformed to measure cell apoptosis. Real-time quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR) was used to test the levels of circ_0003928, miR-136-5p and progestin and adipoQ receptor family member 3 (PAQR3) mRNA. Western blot was executed to detect Bcl2 associated X (Bax), B cell leukemia/lymphoma 2 (Bcl2), smooth muscle (αSMA), apolipoprotein (C-IV) and PAQR3 levels. Luciferase reporter assay and RNA pull-down assay were used to analyze the target relationship between miR-136-5p and circ_0003928 or PAQR3. RESULTS Circ_0003928 and PAQR3 expression were up-regulated, whereas miR-136-5p was decreased in DN serum and HG-induced HK-2 cells. Circ_0003928 knockdown promoted cell proliferation, and inhibit cell apoptosis, oxidative stress, and fibrosis in HK-2 cells under HG condition. MiR-136-5p silencing overturned the protective effects of si-circ_0003928 on HG-induced HK-2 cells. MiR-136-5p was targeted by circ_0003928 and directly targeted PAQR3. Overexpression of PAQR3 counteracted the inhibitory functions of circ_0003928 knockdown or miR-136-5p overexpression on HG-induced HK-2 cell injury. CONCLUSION Circ_0003928 acted as a sponge of miR-136-5p to up-regulating PAQR3 expression, and then regulate the proliferation, oxidative stress, fibrosis and apoptosis in HG-induced HK-2 cells.

Abstract
Introduction: Profibrotic phenotype of renal tubular epithelial cells (TECs) featured with epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMT) and profibrotic factors secretion, and aberrant accumulation of CD206+ M2 macrophages are the key points in the transition from acute kidney injury (AKI) to chronic kidney disease (CKD). Nevertheless, the underlying mechanisms involved remain incompletely understood. Serum and glucocorticoid-inducible kinase (SGK) is a serine/threonine protein kinase, required for intestinal nutrient transport and ion channels modulation. T-LAK-cell-originated protein kinase (TOPK) is a member of the mitogen activated protein kinase family, linked to cell cycle regulation. However, little is known about their roles in AKI-CKD transition. Methods: In this study, three models were constructed in C57BL/6 mice: low dose and multiple intraperitoneal injection of cisplatin, 5/6 nephrectomy and unilateral ureteral obstruction model. Rat renal tubular epithelial cells (NRK-52E) were dealt with cisplatin to induce profibrotic phenotype, while a mouse monocytic cell line (RAW264.7) were cultured with cisplatin or TGF-β1 to induce M1 or M2 macrophage polarization respectively. And co-cultured NRK-52E and RAW264.7 through transwell plate to explore the interaction between them. The expression of SGK3 and TOPK phosphorylation were detected by immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence and western blot analysis. Results: In vivo, the expression of SGK3 and p-TOPK were gradually inhibited in TECs, but enhanced in CD206+ M2 macrophages. In vitro, SGK3 inhibition aggravated epithelial to mesenchymal transition through reducing the phosphorylation state of TOPK, and controlling TGF-β1 synthesis and secretion in TECs. However, SGK3/TOPK axis activation promoted CD206+ M2 macrophage polarization, which caused kidney fibrosis by mediating macrophage to myofibroblast transition (MMT). When co-cultured, the TGF-β1 from profibrotic TECs evoked CD206+ M2 macrophage polarization and MMT, which could be attenuated by SGK3/TOPK axis inhibition in macrophages. Conversely, SGK3/TOPK signaling pathway activation in TECs could reverse CD206+ M2 macrophages aggravated EMT. Discussion: We revealed for the first time that SGK3 regulated TOPK phosphorylation to mediate TECs profibrotic phenotype, macrophage plasticity and the crosstalk between TECs and macrophages during AKI-CKD transition. Our results demonstrated the inverse effect of SGK3/TOPK signaling pathway in profibrotic TECs and CD206+ M2 macrophages polarization during the AKI-CKD transition.

Abstract
Adsorption is regarded as the most reliable technology for gaseous pollutant removal. Activated carbon is a widely used adsorbent due to its good adsorption capacity and low price. However, substantial ultrafine particles (UFPs) in the air cannot be effectively removed even if a high-efficiency particulate air filter is located before the adsorption stage. The adhesion of UFPs to the porous surface of activated carbon affects the removal of gaseous pollutants and shortens its service life. So, we adopted molecular simulation to explore the gas-particle two-phase adsorption and analyze the effects of the properties of UFPs such as concentration, shape, size and chemical composition on the toluene adsorption. The parameters of equilibrium capacity, diffusion coefficient, adsorption site, radial distribution function, adsorption heat and energy distribution were used to evaluate the gas adsorption performance. The results showed that the equilibrium capacity of toluene was decreased by 16.51 % compared to that of only toluene adsorption at the toluene concentration of 1 ppb and UFPs concentration of 1.81 × 10-5/cm3. Compared with cubic and cylindrical particles, the particles in spheres were more likely to hinder the pore channels from reducing gas capacity. Larger UFPs in the selected particle size range (1-3 nm) had a greater impact. Carbon black UFPs themselves could adsorb toluene, so the amount of toluene adsorbed was not significantly decreased.

Abstract
AIMS To compare the sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, and clinical usefulness of transcranial Doppler (TCD) ultrasound against computed tomography angiography (CTA) for the diagnosis of ischaemic cerebrovascular disease. METHODS A total of 1,183 sites (vascular segments) of 169 patients who had been diagnosed with cerebrovascular disease using digital subtraction angiography (DSA) were evaluated by CTA and TCD for the diagnosis of the arterial lesions. RESULTS Lesions were identified in 509 sites and 674 sites did not have lesions according to the DSA examination. Each individual site had higher sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy for TCD than those for CTA, respectively. For all sites, TCD had higher true-positive (p=0.0029) and -negative (p=0.0151) values and fewer false-positive and -negative (p<0.0001 for both) values than those of CTA. The sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of CTA for all sites to detect lesions were 77%, 88%, and 84%, respectively. The same parameters for TCD were 94%, 97%, and 95%, respectively. The beneficial scores for CTA and TCD to detect lesions were 0-0.795 diagnostic confidence and 0-0.91 diagnostic confidence, respectively. Beneficial scores >0.795 and >0.91 indicated a risk of underdiagnosis of lesions at CTA and TCD, respectively. CONCLUSIONS Compared with DSA (reference standard) and CTA, the study underscores the use of TCD in cerebrovascular pathology.

Abstract
Polarization measurements have been widely used to detect aerosol properties by remote sensing in recent decades. To better understand the polarization characteristics of aerosols by lidar, the numerically exact T-matrix method was used to simulate the depolarization ratio (DR) of dust and smoke aerosols at typical laser wavelengths in this study. The results show that the DRs of dust and smoke aerosols have obviously different spectral dependences. Moreover, the ratio of DRs at two wavelengths has an obvious linear relationship with the microphysical properties of aerosols, including aspect ratio, effective radius and complex refractive index. At short wavelengths, we can use it to invert the absorption characteristics of particles, further improving the detection ability of lidar. Comparing the simulation results of different channels, DR, (color ratio) CR and (lidar ratio) LR have a good logarithmic fitting relationship at 532 nm and 1064 nm, which helps to classify the aerosol types. On this basis, a new inversion algorithm, "1β+1α+2δ", was presented. By this algorithm, the backscattering coefficient (β), extinction coefficient (α), DR (δ) at 532 nm and 1064 nm can be used to expand the range of inversion and compare lidar data with different configurations to obtain more extensive optical characteristics of aerosols. Our study enhances the application of laser remote sensing in aerosol observations more accurately.

ELOVL fatty acid elongase 7 (ELOVL7), upregulated by Mdr2-knockout, predicts advanced liver fibrosis in patients with chronic hepatitis B. Abstract
OBJECTIVE This study aims to investigate the correlations between gene alterations induced in Mdr2-knockout (Mdr2-/-) models and liver fibrosis. SUBJECTS AND METHODS The overlapping genes in Mdr2-/- models were determined and included in logistic regression analysis to identify potential candidates for predicting liver fibrosis. Correlations between the expression levels of the identified candidates and hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) were addressed. Functional enrichment of the identified candidates was also evaluated via bioinformatic analysis. RESULTS Twenty-two overlapping genes in the GSE4612, GSE8642 and GSE14539 datasets were identified. Univariate and multivariate analysis indicated that ELOVL fatty acid elongase 7 (ELOVL7) was significantly associated with liver fibrosis S ≥ 2 (OR = 11.8, 95% CI = 2.0 - 69.2, p = 0.006). ELOVL7 was significantly upregulated in patients with various types of liver injury including hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection and fatty liver diseases, and in multiple liver injury models, including bile duct ligation (BDL), carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) and paracetamol injection-induced liver damage models (all p < 0.05). The ELOVL7 levels were significantly higher in HSCs than in other liver cells (all p < 0.05) and were significantly upregulated in activated HSCs compared to quiescent HSCs (all p < 0.05). In addition, ELOVL7 expression was positively associated with transforming growth factor β (TGFβ) and bone morphogenic protein 9 (BMP9) expression and negatively associated with BMP7 expression. Bioinformatic analysis of functional enrichment indicated that ELOVL7 is mainly involved in fatty acid synthesis and metabolism. CONCLUSIONS ELOVL7 could accurately predict advanced liver fibrosis. It might be involved in the activation of HSCs and the TGFβ signaling pathway.

Abstract
Aerosol microphysical properties, such as volume concentration (VC) and effective radius (ER), are of great importance to evaluate their radiative forcing and impacts on climate change. However, range-resolved aerosol VC and ER still cannot be obtained by remote sensing currently except for the column-integrated one from sun-photometer observation. In this study, a retrieval method of range-resolved aerosol VC and ER is firstly proposed based on the partial least squares regression (PLSR) and deep neural networks (DNN), combining polarization lidar and collocated AERONET (AErosol RObotic NETwork) sun-photometer observations. The results show that the measurement of widely-used polarization lidar can be reasonably used to derive the aerosol VC and ER, with the determination coefficient (R2) of 0.89 (0.77) for VC (ER) by use of the DNN method. Moreover, it is proven that the lidar-based height-resolved VC and ER at near-surface are well consistent with independent observations of collocated Aerodynamic Particle Sizer (APS). Additionally, we found that there are significant diurnal and seasonal variations of aerosol VC and ER in the atmosphere at Semi-Arid Climate and Environment Observatory of Lanzhou University (SACOL). Compared with columnar ones from the sun-photometer observation, this study provides a reliable and practical way to obtain full-day range-resolved aerosol VC and ER from widely-used polarization lidar observation, even under cloud conditions. Moreover, this study also can be applied to long-term observations by current ground-based lidar networks and spaceborne CALIPSO lidar, aiming to further evaluate aerosol climatic effects more accurately.

Abstract
UNLABELLED Currently, there is no reproducible, widely accepted gold standard to classify osteoporotic vertebral body fractures (OVFs). The purpose of this study is to refine a method with clear rules to classify OVFs for machine learning purposes. The method was found to have moderate interobserver agreement that improved with training. INTRODUCTION The current methods to classify osteoporotic vertebral body fractures are considered ambiguous; there is no reproducible, accepted gold standard. The purpose of this study is to refine classification methodology by introducing clear, unambiguous rules and a refined flowchart to allow consistent classification of osteoporotic vertebral body fractures. METHODS We developed a set of rules and refinements that we called m2ABQ to classify vertebrae into five categories. A fracture-enriched database of thoracic and lumbar spine radiographs of patients 65 years of age and older was retrospectively obtained from clinical institutional radiology records using natural language processing. Five raters independently classified each vertebral body using the m2ABQ system. After each annotation round, consensus sessions that included all raters were held to discuss and finalize a consensus annotation for each vertebral body where individual raters' evaluations differed. This process led to further refinement and development of the rules. RESULTS Each annotation round showed increase in Fleiss kappa both for presence vs absence of fracture 0.62 (0.56-0.68) to 0.70 (0.65-0.75), as well as for the whole m2ABQ scale 0.29 (0.25-0.33) to 0.54 (0.51-0.58). CONCLUSION The m2ABQ system demonstrates moderate interobserver agreement and practical feasibility for classifying osteoporotic vertebral body fractures. Future studies to compare the method to existing studies are warranted, as well as further development of its use in machine learning purposes.

Abstract
Background: Nutritional interventions such as the use of prebiotics can promote eubiosis of gut microbiome and maintain glucose homeostasis in patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D). However, it would appear that results of the effects of prebiotics on the community of microbes in the gut are not consistent. Aim: To examine the effect of prebiotics and oral antidiabetic agents on gut microbiome in patients with T2D. Methods: The PRISMA Extension Statement for Systematic Reviews and Network Meta-analyses was used to conduct this review. Searches were carried out in EMBASE, EBSCO-host databases, Google Scholar and the reference lists of articles for studies that are relevant to the research question, from database inception to 15 August 2022. The search strategy was based on PICOS framework. Network Meta-analysis which allows the estimation of relative treatment effects by combing both direct trial evidence (e.g., treatment A vs. treatment B) and indirect evidence was conducted. Furthermore, pairwise meta-analysis was also carried out to estimate effect sizes based on head-to-head comparisons of treatments and/or control conditions. Results: Findings of the Network meta-analysis revealed that prebiotics significantly reduced HbA1c compared with control and the SMD was −0.43 [95% CI, −0.77, −0.08; p = 0.02], whereas there was no significant difference (p > 0.05) between the other treatments and control. In addition, anti-diabetic agents including glipizide and metformin also reduced HbA1C, although these were not significantly different (p > 0.05) from control. While prebiotics promoted Bifidobacterium and Akkermansia, the improvements were not significantly different (p > 0.05) from control. On the other hand, metformin decreased the relative abundance of Bifidobacterium, but increased Lactobacillus and Akkermansia, although the differences were not significant (p > 0.05) compared with control. With respect to fasting blood glucose and BMI, the effects of prebiotics and oral antidiabetic agents did not differ significantly (p > 0.05) from controls. Conclusions: The findings of the systematic review and Network meta-analysis demonstrated prebiotics were significantly (p < 0.05) more effective in reducing HbA1c than control in patients with T2D. However, the effects of prebiotics and oral antidiabetic agents did not differ significantly (p > 0.05) from the controls in relation to fasting blood glucose, post-prandial blood glucose, body mass index and the genera of gut bacteria examined. More studies are required to fully investigate the effects of prebiotics and oral antidiabetic agents in patients with T2D

Abstract
Vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) play a key role in vascular calcification, which is associated with enhanced mortality in chronic kidney disease. To ascertain the concentration of parathyroid hormone (PTH) that induces apoptosis of VSMCs and to explore whether the mechanism of endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress is involved in PTH-induced calcification of VSMCs. The appropriate concentration and intervention time of PTH-inducing apoptosis of VSMCs were screened by flow cytometry. To investigate the effects of PTH on ER stress-related and apoptotic proteins in VSMCs, they were divided into four groups. These were the control group, the PTH group, the siC/EBP homologous protein (CHOP) + PTH group (in which siCHOP was used to knockdown the expression of CHOP at first), and the sp600125 + PTH group (in which the cells were pretreated with sp600125 at a concentration of 10 ng/ml for 24 h at first). Then, all groups except the control group were given 1x10-6 mol/L PTH to stimulate VSMCs. The changes in ER stress and apoptosis-related proteins in each group were detected, and the cell calcification was tested by Alizarin Red staining. Flow cytometry showed that the concentration of 1x10-6 mol/L PTH induced apoptosis most significantly. The apoptosis rate of the cells increased with the extension of stimulation time. The apoptosis of VSMCs pretreated with the Jun-N-terminal kinase (JNK) antagonist sp600125 was significantly reduced. The expression of cleaved caspase-3, PERK, IRE1, and CHOP was detected by Western blot analysis when cells were stimulated with 10-6 mol/L PTH for 14 days. After the knockdown of the CHOP expression by siCHOP, cleaved caspase-3 expression was significantly reduced. Alizarin Red staining showed siCHOP and sp600125 inhibits the VSMCs' calcification induced by PTH. In conclusion: the ER stress mechanism is involved in VSMCs' calcification induced by PTH.

Abstract
Multiple comorbidities are observed during pregnancy and there are many challenges for pregnant women with a previous history of diabetes. Pancreatic β-cell dysfunction is associated with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). This study intends to explore LncRNA-5657’s
effect on proapoptotic cell proliferation and insulin secretion in gestational diabetes. Real-time quantitative fluorescence PCR measured LncRNA-5657 expression in GDM patient placental tissues along with analysis of cell activity, proliferation and insulin secretion by MTT assay, BrdU staining
and ELISA. The relation between LncRNA-5657 and NOX4 was assessed by dual luciferase reporter assay. LncRNA-5657 was overexpressed in placental tissue of GDM patients compared to normal pregnant women. LncRNA-5657 overexpression promoted cell proliferation and insulin secretion, which was
reversed by LncRNA-5657 downregulation. In addition, LncRNA-5657 negatively regulated NOX4 expression. Overexpression of NOX4 abolished the effect of LncRNA-5657 mimics on pancreatic β-cells, and knockdown of LncRNA-5657 promoted insulin secretion by upregulating NOX4 expression.
In conclusion, LncRNA-5657 inhibits insulin secretion and β-cell proliferation by targeting NOX4, indicating that LncRNA-5657 might be a novel target for the treatment of GDM.

Abstract
Objective: We evaluated the safety and efficacy of lipoprotein apheresis (LA) in patients with familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) who can't reach low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C) target goals with the maximal tolerated dose of lipid-lowering agents. Methods: This was a retrospective cross-sectional study. Between February 2015 and November 2019, patients with FH who were admitted in Fuwai hospital and treated with LA were consecutively enrolled. Based on intensive lipid-lowering agents, these patients received LA by double filtration plasma pheresis (DFPP) method. The changes of lipid levels such as LDL-C and lipoprotein(a)[Lp(a)] were compared before and after LA treatment, and the changes of immunoglobulin (Ig) concentration and LA-related adverse effects were also discussed. Results: A total of 115 patients with FH were enrolled in this study, of which 8 cases were homozygous FH and 107 cases were heterozygous FH. The age was (43.9±12.2) years and there were 75 (65.2%) males, and 108 (93.8%) with coronary artery disease. For pre-and immediately after LA treatment, the LDL-C was (5.20±2.94) mmol/L vs. (1.83±1.08) mmol/L, Lp(a) concentration was 428.70(177.00, 829.50)mg/L vs. 148.90(75.90, 317.00) mg/L (P<0.001), with a decrease of 64.2% and 59.8% respectively. The levels of IgG and IgA measured 1 day after LA treatment were both in the normal range and IgM concentration was below the reference value, the reductions of which were 15.1%, 25.0% and 58.7% respectively (P<0.001). Six patients had mild symptoms of nausea, hypotension dyspnea and palpitation, the symptoms were relieved by symptomatic treatment. Conclusion: For patients with FH who do not achieve LDL-C target goal with the maximal tolerated lipid-lowering agents, especially those with elevated Lp(a) levels, LA, which can significantly further reduce LDL-C and Lp(a) levels, is an effective and safe option.

Abstract
BackgroundBAT1806/BIIB800 is a proposed biosimilar to reference tocilizumab (TCZ). A Phase III randomised, double-blind, active-controlled clinical trial was conducted as part of a biosimilar development programme.ObjectivesTo evaluate the efficacy, pharmacokinetics (PK), safety and immunogenicity of BAT1806/BIIB800 in comparison with EU-sourced TCZ in subjects with moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis with inadequate response to methotrexate (MTX).MethodsThe study was conducted at 55 centres in China and Europe, between June 2018 and January 2021. Eligible subjects were randomised in a 2:1:1 ratio to one of three treatment groups: (1) BAT1806/BIIB800 up to Week 48, (2) TCZ up to Week 48, or (3) TCZ up to Week 24, followed by BAT1806/BIIB800 from Week 24 to Week 48, administered intravenously every 4 weeks at a dose of 8mg/kg. The primary endpoint was the proportion of subjects achieving an ACR20 response at timepoints pre-specified to meet the requirements of different Regulatory Agencies: Week 12, for EMA; Week 24, for FDA and NMPA. Equivalence margins applied to differences in ACR20 response rates in the BAT1806/BIIB800 and TCZ treatment groups were pre-specified as follows: +/- 14.5% for EMA (95% confidence interval (CI)); -12.0%,15% for FDA (90% CI); +/- 13.6% for NMPA (95% CI). Secondary endpoints included pharmacokinetics, safety and immunogenicity.The ICH E9(R1) estimands framework including intercurrent events (related or unrelated to the COVID19 pandemic) was implemented for the ACR20 evaluation. A logistic regression model including ‘region’ (China and Eastern Europe) and ‘previous biologic or targeted synthetic DMARD use’ (Yes/No) as captured in Interactive Web Response System as stratification factors was utilised to assess equivalence for the primary endpoint. The difference in response rates was estimated and corresponding confidence intervals were derived to assess equivalence for the primary endpoint. This abstract presents results up to Week 24.ResultsIn total, 621 subjects were randomised to receive BAT1806/BIIB800 (N=312), TCZ (N=155), or TCZ followed by BAT1806/BIIB800 (N=154). The groups were comparable in terms of baseline demographics and disease characteristics, including age, gender, disease activity and disease duration. The estimated proportions of subjects achieving an ACR20 response in the BAT1806/BIIB800 vs. the TCZ groups, respectively, were 68.97% vs. 64.82% at Week 12 and 69.89% vs. 67.94% at Week 24. The estimated difference between ACR response rates was 4.15% (95% CI -3.63, 11.93) at week 12, and 1.94% (90% CI -4.04, 7.92; 95% CI -5.18, 9.07) at Week 24. The CIs for the estimated differences between the treatment groups were within the pre-defined equivalence margins (Figure 1). Abstract
Disinfection byproducts (DBPs) remains an ongoing issue because of their widespread occurrence and toxicity. Various organic substances in Algogenic organic matter (AOM) can produce DBPs in the chlorination process. To provide specific suggestions for the targeted removal of DBP precursors in AOM, the main biochemical components in AOM were qualitatively and quantitatively analyzed. An accurate model for predicting the DBP formation potentials (DBPFPs) of AOM was herein developed based on the dissolved organic carbon of the five main biochemical components in AOM and the DBPFPs of their corresponding surrogates. The contributions of each biochemical component to the three DBP species were evaluated, and the key components were identified. The results showed that lipids, proteins, carbohydrates, humic acid-like substances, and fulvic acid-like substances were the main biochemical components in AOM. Thereof, proteins (71.2 ± 2.1%) and carbohydrates (53.1 ± 2.1%) were the major contributor to the carbon content in intracellular organic matter and extracellular organic matter, respectively. The contribution results of biochemical components to the formation of DBPs showed that proteins were the key contributor to DBPs, suggesting that the targeted removal of proteins before the chlorination process would effectively reduce DBPs from AOM.

Abstract
Purpose To identify the global and regional distribution of peripapillary vessel density (pVD) and try to find out the relationships between pVD and the visual field mean sensitivity (VFMS) in healthy myopic eyes. Design Prospective cross-sectional study. Methods Two hundred and twenty-two participants (393 eyes) with myopia (myopic refractive error < − 0.5 diopters) from two clinical centers were recruited in this study and were divided into 4 groups according to the spherical equivalent (SE): Group1:− 0.5D ≥ SE > − 6.00D, Group2: − 6.00D ≥ SE > − 8.00D, Group3:− 8.00D ≥ SE > − 10.00D, Group4:SE ≤ -10.00D.The pVD assessed with optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) was quantified in 8 sectors. Peripapillary retinal nerve fibre layer (pRNFL) imaging was performed with SD-OCT. Visual field (VF) tests were performed with the 30-2 SITA standard program on the Humphrey 750i Visual Field Analyzer and were grouped into 8 regions that matched the structure. Results The pRNFL had no significant difference in all groups (p = 0.422). The average pVD were significantly lower in group 4 (47.61 ± 6.58) than in group 2 and 3 (51.49 ± 3.21, 50.48 ± 3.43 respectively) (p < 0.05). While both pVD in group2 and 3 were statistically lower than group1 (52.77 ± 2.86). The average VFMS was significantly lower in group 4 (901.85 ± 386.54) than other three groups (1169.15 ± 328.94, 1081.77 ± 338.83, 1076.89 ± 358.18, for group1,2,3 respectively). The pVD and VFMS were positively correlated in group3 (r = 0.184) and group4 (r = 0.476) (p < 0.05). Linear regression analysis demonstrated that VFMS were positively associated with pVD especially in temporal and nasal quadrants in myopic eyes. Conclusions The pVD shows a significant positive correlation with VFMS in highly myopic eyes with SE ≤ − 8.00D. Abstract
Prevention of bacterial infection and reduction of hemorrhage, the primary challenges posed by trauma before hospitalization, are essential steps in prolonging the patient's life until they have been transported to a trauma center. Extracellular matrix (ECM) hydrogel is a promising biocompatible material for accelerating wound closure. However, due to the lack of antibacterial properties, this hydrogel is difficult to be applied to acute contaminated wounds. This study formulates an injectable dermal extracellular matrix hydrogel (porcine acellular dermal matrix (ADM)) as a scaffold for skin defect repair. The hydrogel combines vancomycin, an antimicrobial agent for inducing hemostasis, expediting antimicrobial activity, and promoting tissue repair. The hydrogel possesses a porous structure beneficial for the adsorption of vancomycin. The antimicrobial agent can be timely released from the hydrogel within an hour, which is less than the time taken by bacteria to infest an injury, with a cumulative release rate of approximately 80%, and thus enables a relatively fast bactericidal effect. The cytotoxicity investigation demonstrates the biocompatibility of the ADM hydrogel. Dynamic coagulation experiments reveal accelerated blood coagulation by the hydrogel. In vivo antibacterial and hemostatic experiments on a rat model indicate the healing of infected tissue and effective control of hemorrhaging by the hydrogel. Therefore, the vancomycin-loaded ADM hydrogel will be a viable biomaterial for controlling hemorrhage and preventing bacterial infections in trauma patients.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the effect of the resection of the primary lesion on the prognosis for patients with stage Ⅳ breast cancer. Methods: A total of 132 breast cancer patients who were first diagnosed as stage Ⅳ in the Hebei Cancer Hospital from June 2008 to June 2015 were divided into two groups: the primary resection group (n=85) and the unresection group (n=47). The influences of primary resection, timing of operation, lymph node removal or dissection and radiotherapy on the prognosis of stage Ⅳ breast cancer patients were analyzed. Results: Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that visceral metastasis was an independent influencing factor for primary lesion resection in stage Ⅳ breast cancer patients (OR=2.590, 95% CI: 1.090-6.159). Multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that primary resection was an independent factor for the improvement of prognosis in stage Ⅳ breast cancer patients (OR=0.582, 95% CI: 0.400-0.847). The median overall survival (OS) was 37.20 months in the resection group, which was higher than 24.10 months in the unresection group (χ(2)=8.108, P=0.004). Among patients aged ≥50 years old, the median OS was 39.30 months in the resection group and 23.03 months in the unresection group, and the difference was statistically significant (χ(2)=14.191, P<0.001). The median OS was 38.00 months in the 66 patients with the operation time from diagnosis to resection of primary lesion<6 months (n=66), and 35.20 months for ≥6 months (n=19) (χ(2)=4.430, P=0.035), the difference was statistically significant (χ(2)=4.430, P=0.035). The median OR of axillary lymph node dissection and axillary lymph node excision group were 45.37 months and 33.44 months, respectively, the difference was statistically significant (χ(2)=7.832, P=0.005). The median OS of postoperative radiotherapy group and non-radiotherapy group were 44.80 months and 33.20 months, respectively, the difference was not statistically significant (χ(2)=2.950, P=0.086). Conclusion: Resection of the primary lesion may prolong the survival time of some advanced breast cancer patients.

Abstract
Accurate identification of aerosols and cloud from remote sensing observations is of importance for quantitatively evaluating their radiative forcing and related impacts. Even though polarization lidar has exhibited a unique advantage of classifying atmospheric aerosols and clouds over the past several decades, polarization measurements are often achieved at one wavelength (UV or VIS) using laser remote sensing. To better identify the types of aerosols and clouds, we developed a ground-based dual-polarization lidar system that can simultaneously detect polarization measurements at wavelengths of 355 nm and 532 nm. Our results show that the volume depolarization ratios (VDRs) at 355 nm and 532 nm markedly differ for typical types of aerosols and clouds in the atmosphere. For non-spherical particles, the ratio of VDRs at 532 nm and 355 nm are 2.87 ± 1.35 for ice cloud and 1.51 ± 0.29 for dust-dominated aerosols, respectively. However, for spherical particles, the ratios are 0.43 ± 0.26 for water cloud and 0.56 ± 0.05 for air pollutants. Consequently, we proposed a simple reliable method for classifying atmospheric aerosols and clouds from polarization measurements observed by the developed lidar system. The proposed method first distinguishes clouds from aerosols using a combination of the color ratio (CR, 532 nm/355 nm) and attenuated backscattering coefficients (ABC) at 532 nm. Then, subtypes of clouds and aerosols are identified based on the ratio of VDRs at 532 nm and 355 nm. The results showed that dual-polarization lidar measurements can remarkably improve the classification of atmospheric aerosols and clouds, compared with results using a traditional method. This study illustrates that more information on atmospheric aerosols and clouds can be obtained from polarization measurements at multiple wavelengths by active remote sensing.

Association of Subjective Cognitive Decline with Risk of Cognitive Impairment and Dementia: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Prospective Longitudinal Studies. Abstract
BACKGROUND Subjective cognitive decline (SCD) as an early pathological manifestation of brain aging has become more prevalent among older adults. OBJECTIVES We aimed to investigate the associations of subjective cognitive decline (SCD) with the combined risk of cognitive impairment and dementia. DESIGN We performed a systematic review and meta-analysis via searching Embase, PubMed and Cochrane electronic databases from January 1 st 1970 to June 4th, 2020. SETTING Prospective cohort studies Participants: Healthy individuals were recruited from community, clinics and population. MEASUREMENTS Healthy individuals with SCD were classified into exposure groups, while those without were considered as the reference group. Adjusted relative risks (RR) were estimated in a random-effects model. Both primary and subgroup analyses were conducted. RESULTS Of 28,895 identified studies, 21 studies containing 22 cohorts were eligible for inclusion in the meta-analysis. SCD increased the risk of subsequent cognitive disorders (RR=2.12, 95% confidence intervals [CI] =1.75-2.58, I2=87%, P<0.01). To be specific, SCD conferred a 2.29-fold excess risk for cognitive impairment (RR=2.29, 95% CI=1.66-3.17, I2=83%, P<0.01) and a 2.16-fold excess risk for dementia (RR=2.16, 95% CI=1.63-2.86, I2=81%, P<0.01). In subgroup analyses, participants with SCD in the subgroup of 65-75 years old, long-education (>15 years) subgroup and subgroup of clinics showed a higher risk of developing objective cognitive disorders. CONCLUSIONS SCD is associated with an increased combined risk of cognitive impairment and incident dementia and should be considered a risk factor for objective cognitive disorders.

Abstract
Abiotic stresses are major environmental factors inhibiting plant growth and development. AITRs (ABA-induced transcription repressors) are a novel family of transcription factors regulating ABA (abscisic acid) signalling and plant responses to abiotic stresses in Arabidopsis. However, the composition and evolution history of AITRs and their roles in the cotton genus are largely unknown. A total of 12 putative AITRs genes were identified in cultivated tetraploid cotton, Gossypium hirsutum. Phylogenetic analysis of GhAITRs in these tetraploid cottons and their closely related species implicate ancient genome-wide duplication occurring after speciation of Gossypium, and Theobroma could generate duplicates of GhAITRs. Duplicated GhAITRs were stably inherited following diploid speciation and further allotetraploidy in Gossypium. Homologous GhAITRs shared common expression patterns in response to ABA, drought and salinity treatments, and drought tolerance induced in transgenic Arabidopsis plants expressing GhAITR-A1. Together, our findings reveal that duplicates in the GhAITRs gene family were achieved by whole genome duplication rather than three individual duplication events, and that GhAITRs function as transcription repressors and are involved in the regulation of plant responses to ABA and drought stress. These results provide insights towards the improvement of abiotic stress tolerance in cotton using GhAITRs.

Abstract
Traditionally, the healthy urinary bladder has been considered to be sterile. Several teams have used metagenomic (DNA-dependent) and metaculturomic (culture-dependent) methods to debunk this longstanding dogma. In fact, resident microbial communities (urobiome) have been detected in both adult females and males. Although the field is young, several observations have been made. For example, the urobiome differs between men and women, likely due to anatomical and hormonal differences. Importantly, the urobiome has been associated with a variety of lower urinary tract disorders, including overactive bladder and post-operative urinary tract infection, raising the possibility that clinicians might one day treat symptoms by modifying the urobiome instead of killing the suspected uropathogen. Little is known concerning the relationship between the urobiome and host genetics; so far, only a single paper has reported such a study. However, major efforts have gone into understanding the genomics of the urobiome itself, a process facilitated by the fact that many urobiome studies have used metaculturomic methods to detect and identify microbes. In this narrative review, we will introduce the urobiome with separate sections on the female and male urobiomes, discuss challenges specific to the urobiome, describe newly discovered associations between the urobiome and lower urinary tract symptoms, and highlight the one study that has attempted to relate host genetics and the urobiome. We will finish with a section on how metagenomic surveys and whole genome sequencing of bacterial isolates are improving our understanding of the urobiome and its relationship to lower urinary tract health and disorders.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the clinical and genetic characteristics of primary hypoparathyroidism in children. Methods: The clinical data including age, symptoms, laboratory examination and cranial CT of 13 children with primary hypoparathyroidism diagnosed in the Capital Institute of Pediatrics from May 2017 to December 2019 were collected and analyzed retrospectively. These children and their parents also had gene detected by whole exome sequencing and (or) copy number variation sequencing. Results: Among the 13 patients, 7 were male and 6 female. The onset age was 3 years (1 day-12 years) old. The time from onset to confirmed diagnosis was 2 months (2 days-10 years). The clinical manifestations included convulsion (9 cases), tetany (2 cases), muscle pain (1 case), mental retardation (5 cases), deafness (1 case), and initially misdiagnosed epilepsy (5 cases). The lab examination showed average blood calcium level of (1.7±0.3) mmol/L, blood phosphorus of (2.8±0.4) mmol/L, and parathyroid hormone of 8.2 (3.9-28.7)ng/L. Head CT found 7 cases of ectopic calcification. Among the 7 cases who had genetic abnormalities according to the gene detection, 5 had heterozygous deletion of 22q11.2 region, and only one of whom was diagnosed with typical DiGeorge syndrome. As for the rest 2 cases, one had autosomal dominant hypocalcemia caused by novel heterozygous variation of CaSR gene c.2495T>G (p.F832C), and the other was hypoparathyroidism-deafness-renal dysplasia syndrome caused by GATA3 c.708dupC (p.S237Qfs*66) novel heterozygous variation. Conclusions: Primary hypoparathyroidism in children is mainly characterized by hypocalcemia and usually accompanied with diverse symptoms which may indicate genetic disorders. The detection of large fragment deletion should be considered to exclude 22q11.2 deletion syndrome.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE MicroRNAs (miRNAs) have been demonstrated to have crucial roles in cancer development. We investigated the involvement of miR-223-3p in neuroblastoma (NB). MATERIALS AND METHODS MiR-223-3p expression in NB cell lines and normal cell line was analyzed with real-time quantitative PCR method. Cell proliferation, cell invasion, and cell apoptosis were assessed by cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8), transwell invasion assay, and flow cytometry assay, respectively. Bioinformatics analysis, Dual-Luciferase reporter assays, and Western blot analysis were conducted to identify the connection of miR-223-3p and forkhead box O1 (FOXO1). RESULTS MiR-223-3p level was found highly expressed in NB cell lines compared with normal cell line. Knockdown miR-223-3p expression decreased cell growth and invasion but increased cell apoptosis. MiR-223-3p was able to bind with the 3'-untranslated region of FOXO1, and thereby resulting in a reduction of FOXO1 expression. The knockdown of FOXO1 increased the malignant capacity of NB cells. CONCLUSIONS Therefore, given the fact that miR-223-3p suppressed FOXO1 expression to promote NB progression, targeting miR-223-3p may be an effective method for NB treatment.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Metastasis is one of the main causes of leading recurrence and death in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). XRCC5 can affect several types of human cancers. The aim of the present study is to explore the metastasis correlation between the expression level of XRCC5 protein in HCC cell lines with different metastatic potentials and the prognosis of patients with HCC. MATERIALS AND METHODS Hepatocellular carcinoma cell lines used in this study include MHCC97-H, MHCC97-L, HepG2, and HL-7702. RESULTS XRCC5 was widely expressed in HCC cell lines analyzed by Real-Time Reverse Transcription PCR and Western blotting. The levels of XRCC5 protein and mRNA were positively correlated with the migration and invasion capability of HCC cell lines. SiRNA-XRCC5 significantly suppressed the migration and invasion of HCC cells. Immunohistochemistry (IHC) results showed that high-expressed XRCC5 in patients with HCC was associated with advanced tumors, size, and microvascular invasion and lower overall survival time than the low-expressed. The expression levels of CTNNB1 and MMP9 decreased by knocked down XRCC5 which may promote the progression of HCC via the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway. CONCLUSIONS Our results suggest that the high expression of XRCC5 predicts poor prognosis in patients with HCC, and XRCC5 may be a potential biomarker to inhibit the invasion and migration of HCC.

Assessment of Ischemic Volumes by Using Relative Filling Time Delay on CTP Source Image in Patients with Acute Stroke with Anterior Circulation Large Vessel Occlusions. Abstract
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Thrombectomy up to 24 hours after stroke onset in patients with specific ischemic brain volumes remains a challenge, because many stroke centers do not apply specialized software to calculate ischemic volumes at advanced imaging. We aimed to establish the association between relative filling time delay on CTP source imaging and ischemic volume parameters and the infarct penumbra to core volume mismatch in patients with acute ischemic stroke. MATERIALS AND METHODS Consecutive patients with acute ischemic stroke and with M1 segment MCA with or without terminal ICA occlusions on baseline CTA and CTP within 24 hours of stroke symptom onset were included. Ischemic volumes were analyzed with software based on CTP maps. Relative filling time delay was classified into 4 grades-grade 0: relative filling time delay = 0 seconds; grade 1: relative filling time delay >0 to ≤4 seconds; grade 2: relative filling time delay >4 to ≤8 seconds; and grade 3: relative filling time delay > 8 seconds. Differences in ischemic volume parameters among relative filling time delay grades were tested. RESULTS We recruited 138 patients (median age, 69 years; 62.3% male). Different median volumes of the infarct core (grade 0, 7.3 mL; grade 1, 23.3 mL; grade 2, 45.7 mL; grade 3, 135 mL [P < .001]) and the penumbra (grade 0, 47.6 mL; grade 1, 90 mL; grade 2, 110 mL; grade 3, 92 mL [P = .043]) were observed among relative filling time delay grades. Target mismatch (defined by the criteria of the DEFUSE 3 trial) was identified in 71.7% of the patients (99/138). A relative filling time delay grade ≤ 1 independently predicted target mismatch, with a sensitivity of 0.79 (95% CI, 0.7-0.87) and a specificity of 0.66 (95% CI, 0.49-0.8). CONCLUSIONS Relative filling time delay grade based on CTP source imaging is a simple and effective parameter for evaluating ischemic volumes and target mismatch in patients with acute ischemic stroke. Further studies that compare relative filling time delay grade with clinical functional outcomes are necessary.

Abstract
Passive remote sensing has been widely used in recent decades to obtain global particulate matter (PM) mass concentration at daytime and under cloud-free condition. In this study, a retrieval method was developed for providing PM (PM10 and PM2.5) mass concentration both at daytime and nighttime using the latest data version (V4.10) from space-borne Cloud-Aerosol Lidar and Infrared Pathfinder Satellite Observation (CALIPSO) lidar measurements. The advantage of the method is that PM10 & PM2.5 mass concentrations were obtained for seven aerosol types respectively base on active remote sensing observation at daytime and nighttime, even under cloudy condition. The results show that satellite-based PM mass concentrations are in good agreement with in-situ observations from 1602 ground monitoring sites throughout the world. Moreover, global distributions of PM10 and PM2.5 mass concentration during 2007-2016 were investigated, showing that for Beijing the annual mean PM2.5 mass concentration at nighttime is 11.31% less than those at daytime, however for London is 36.62%. It is suggested that diurnal variations in PM2.5 mass concentration are closely related to human activities. This work provides a reliable high-resolution database for long-term particulate mass concentrations on the global scale, which is of importance to evaluate aerosol impacts on climate, environment as well as ecosystem.

Abstract
Two-dimensional systems can host exotic particles called anyons whose quantum statistics are neither bosonic nor fermionic. For example, the elementary excitations of the fractional quantum Hall effect at filling factor ν = 1/m (where m is an odd integer) have been predicted to obey Abelian fractional statistics, with a phase ϕ associated with the exchange of two particles equal to π/m However, despite numerous experimental attempts, clear signatures of fractional statistics have remained elusive. We experimentally demonstrate Abelian fractional statistics at filling factor ν = ⅓ by measuring the current correlations resulting from the collision between anyons at a beamsplitter. By analyzing their dependence on the anyon current impinging on the splitter and comparing with recent theoretical models, we extract ϕ = π/3, in agreement with predictions.

Objective: To explore the clinical characteristics of patients with Brucella endocarditis. Methods: The clinical data of 9 patients with Brucella endocarditis admitted to Beijing Ditan Hospital from October 2008 to August 2018 were retrospectively analyzed. Through the electronic medical record system of the hospital. Through assessing the electronic medical record system of the hospital, demographic data, main symptoms, vital signs, blood culture, Rose Bengal Plate Agglutination Test, echocardiography, electrocardiogram, chest imaging and other clinical data of included patients were inquired and recorded. Patients were followed up by telephone for medication, operation and outcome. Results: The 9 patients were all Han nationality, aged from 25 to 66 years, 7 out of 9 patients were male, and they came from Hebei, Shandong, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia and Beijing. Of the 9 patients, 5 were farmers, 2 were self-employed, 1 was a technician, and 1 was unemployed. Of the 9 cases, 8 had a history of close contact with cattle and sheep, and 5 had a history of eating beef and mutton. Rose-Bengal Plate Agglutination Test and blood culture were positive in all 9 patients. Aortic valve was involved in 7 out of 9 patients, mitral and tricuspid valve was involved in 1 patient, respectively, and aortic dissection occurred in 1 patient. Condition of 1 patient rapidly deteriorated after admission and finally died during hospitalization despite antibiotic therapy, the remaining patients received long-term antibiotic treatment. A total of 7 patients who underwent valve replacement were followed up. One patient died of cerebral hemorrhage 6 months after operation, and the remaining 6 patients recovered well after valve replacement. Heart failure occurred in all 9 patients, and pericardial effusion occurred in 8 patients. Electrocardiogram showed low voltage of the QRS complex in the limb in 3 cases and poor R-wave progression in V(1)-V(3) lead in 2 cases, and sinus tachycardia in 2 cases. One patient developed non-specific ST-T abnormalities. All patients had fever, 7 patients complained of weakness, and 6 patients complained of palpitations. Among the 9 patients, 7 cases had anemia, 7 patients had pneumonia, 6 had bilateral pleural effusion, 4 had thrombocytopenia. Creatinine was above normal in 4 patients, urine protein was positive in 3 patients, Delta Bilirubin was higher in 3 cases. Conclusions: Patients with Brucella endocarditis often suffer from heart failure and have severe complications. Adequate antibiotic therapy in combination with valve replacement is effective for the treatment of patients with Brucella endocarditis.

Abstract
Polarization lidar has been widely used in recent decades to observe the vertical structures of aerosols and clouds in the atmosphere. We developed a dual-polarization lidar system that can detect polarization measurements simultaneously at 355 nm and 532 nm. Dust events and haze episodes over northern China in 2014 were observed by the developed lidar. The results showed that the dust-dominated aerosol depolarization ratios at 532 nm were larger than those at 355 nm, but those of the air pollutants were smaller, indicating that this tool could provide a more accurate classification of aerosols. Moreover, we found a good relationship between the absorption coefficient of aerosols and the ratio of depolarization ratios at 532 nm and 355 nm for dust aerosols. Our results imply that aerosol absorption from polarization measurements may be determined by lidar at the ultraviolet and visible wavelengths.

Background
It has been reported that coronary artery disease (CAD) is characterized by inflammation and non-obstructive CAD (NOCAD) increases the risk of cardiovascular events (CVEs) compared with ones with normal or near-normal coronary arteries (NNCA), even is similar to obstructive CAD (OCAD). We hypothesized that elevated high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) may be linked to CVEs in those patients with NOCAD.
Purpose
To investigate the predictive role of hs-CRP in patients with NOCAD.
Methods
Of 7,746 consecutive patients with angina-like chest pain admissions, 4,662 eligible patients were enrolled who received coronary artery angiography (CAG) and followed up for the CVEs comprising all-cause mortality, myocardial infarction, stroke and late revascularization. According to the results of CAG, the patients were classified as NNCA group (<20% stenosis, n=698, 15.0%), NOCAD group (20–49% stenosis, n=639, 14.3%), and OCAD group (≥50% stenosis, n=3325, 70.7%). They were further subdivided into 3 groups according to baseline hs-CRP levels (<1, 1–3 and >3 mg/L). Proportional hazards models were used to assess the risk of CVEs in all patients enrolled.
Results
A total of 338 patients (7.3%) experienced CVEs during an average of 13403 person-years follow-up. Patients with NOCAD and OCAD had higher rates of CVEs compared to those with NNCA (p<0.05, respectively). In Cox's models after adjustment of confounders, the risk of CVEs elevated with the increasing degrees of CAD with hazard ratio of 2.01 [95% confidence interval (95% CI): 1.07–3.79, p=0.03] for patients with NOCAD and 2.81 (95% CI: 1.60–4.93, p<0.001) for patients with OCAD compared with the NNCA group. Moreover, elevated hs-CRP levels were associated with the severity of coronary lesions and an elevated increased risk of CVEs in patients with NOCAD and OCAD compared those with NNCA (p<0.05, respectively).
Conclusions
Patients with NOCAD had indeed worse outcomes and hs-CRP levels were positively in relation to the CVEs in those with NOCAD, which may help to the risk assessment in ones with NOCAD.

Background
Lipoprotein (a) [Lp(a)] is recently recognized as a risk factor of atherosclerosis, and the development of coronary artery disease (CAD) in women is not fully understood.
Purpose
The present study aimed to examine the association of Lp(a) levels with the presence and severity of (CAD) in female patients pre- and post-menopause.
Methods
A total of 3712 female patients who received coronary angiography were consecutively enrolled. The level of Lp(a) was measured and compared among patients with and without CAD or myocardial infarction (MI), pre- or post- menopause. The association of Lp(a) with the presence of CAD and the severity of coronary atherosclerosis assessed by Gensini Score were examined.
Results
The average of Lp(a) levels were elevated as age increased in female subjects. Notably, women after menopause had higher Lp(a) levels compared with that before menopause [16.8 mg/dL (IQR 7.54–41.12 mg/dL) vs. 14.7 mg/dL (IQR 6.72–30.82 mg/dL), p=0.002]. Furthermore, multiple logistic regression analysis identified that Lp(a) >30mg/dL was an independent risk factor of CAD in the postmenopausal female (OR1.38, 95% CI 1.13–1.69, p=0.002). Finally, Lp(a) had a positive correlation with Gensini score (r=0.11, p<0.001), and Lp(a) >30mg/dL was an independent risk factor for high Gensini score (OR 1.43, 95% CI 1.14–1.79, p<0.001). While such results were not observed in the premenopausal females.

Lp(a) in pre- and post-menopausal women
Conclusion
The present study indicated that circulating Lp(a) levels were independently associated with the presence and severity of CAD in the postmenopausal female, suggesting that further study may be needed to examine the role of Lp(a) in the development of CAD in female individuals with different menopausal status.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the brain activities of exercise addiction (EA) group people with the task-functional magnetic resonance image (task-fMRI). Methods: A total of 29 exercise addicts (addiction group, average age 46±4 years) and 26 non-exercise addicts (control group, average age 46±6 years) matched by sex, age, average education level and sports dependence degree were selected by using exercise addiction index (EAI) through questionnaires to members of Jiangsu Local Fitness and Long-distance Running Association between January 2018 and June 2018. The participants were scanned with fMRI while watching sports pictures or non-sports pictures. The brain responses of the two groups under two stimulation tasks were analyzed and compared. Results: Compared with the control group, while watching sports pictures, the right fusiform gyrus (MNI:x=30, y=-87, z=0), left posterior central gyrus (MNI:x=-51, y=-21, z=54), left medial superior frontal gyrus (MNI:x=-9, y=54, z=30), and right middle occipital gyrus (MNI:x=42, y=-72, z=36) were significantly inhibited in the addiction group (t-test, all P<0.05). When watching non-sports pictures, the addictive group showed the left superior frontal gyrus (MNI:x=-12, y=54, z=30), left middle frontal gyrus (MNI:x=-30, y=18, z=45), right inferior frontal gyrus (MNI:x=42, y=33, z=-12), right occipital gyrus (MNI:x=42, y=-72, z=36), and they were more significantly inhibited than the control group (t-test, all P<0.05). Conclusion: Compared to the control group, the EA group shows significant brain inhibition with visual stimulation, particularly with non-sports pictures.

Abstract
BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVE The selection of surgical technique in patients with cervical spondylotic myelopathy relies on the surgeon(s) and patients' conditions. The objectives of the study were to test the hypotheses that French-door laminoplasty recovers faster than laminectomy and has good outcome measures. METHODS Data regarding surgical, radiological, and clinical outcome measures of 330 patients with cervical spondylotic myelopathy operated under French-door laminoplasty (fdLP group, n = 110), open-door laminoplasty (odLP group, n = 110), or laminectomy (LC group, n = 110) were collected from the records of institute and analyzed. RESULTS Patients of fdLP group (p < 0.0001, q = 11.65) and odLP group (p < 0.0001, q = 11.27) both had significantly improved modified Rankin scale score than those of LC group. In addition, patients of fdLP group had minimum blood loss during operations and that was maximum for patients of the LC group. Unlike patients of fdLP group (p < 0.0001, q = 80) and LC group (p < 0.0001, q =122), those of odLP group had lost more amount of cervical lordotic after surgery. Open-door laminoplasty had significantly reduced cervical range of motion than laminectomy (p < 0.0001, q = 15.45) and French-door laminoplasty (p < 0.0001, q = 13.45). After 12-months, fdLP group had higher bone union rate than odLP group (p = 0.007, q = 3.395) and LC group (p = 0.007, q = 4.243). French door laminoplasty had a better postoperative quality of life. CONCLUSIONS Among the posterior decompression spine surgeries, French-door laminoplasty is superior surgical procedure than laminectomy and could be superior surgical technique than open-door laminoplasty.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the effect of low-dose of ionizing radiation on thyroid function of medical occupational group with long-term exposure, furthermore, to analyze the relationship between the thyroid hormones and the risk factors, such as exposure length, department and comulative radiation dose. Ultimately, providing the scientific basis for setting the ionizing radiation protection standards. Methods: The population who engaged radiodiagnosis and radiotherapy in a tertiary-A hospital was set up as occupational exposure, and the administrative staffs in a company were considered as control. According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 161 medical professionals and 159 administrative staffs as the research object.We figured out the basic information and general condition of the groups by face-to-face questionnaire survey, calculated the annual comulative radiation dose through local center for disease control and prevention, By means of the thyroid hormone testing, we analyzed the thyroid hormone levels with different population, occupational exposure factors. Applying Epidata、Excel in data management. All the data was analyzed by statistical software package Stata12.0. Descriptive statistics, single factor analysis of variance and other statistical methods were used for data analysis. Test standard: α=0.05、P<0.05 statistical significant. Results: Age, sex and seniority were proportionality between exposure and control groups. The dosages of occupational population exposure to ionizing radiation were about 1/10 of national permit value, belonging to low-dose exposure. The T(3), FT(3) level of the exposure group was decreased than the control group (P<0.001). especially the FT(3) level has statitical discrepancy among groups with different exposure length (P<0.05). Conclusion: Long-term exposure to low-dose ionizing radiatiom can induce the thyroid damage of medical occupational population, which should be broader concerned.

Abstract
PURPOSE Though type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is an important and independent risk factor for coronary artery disease (CAD) in the general population, the impact of T2DM on CAD in patients with familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) is less understood. Thus, the current study aimed to examine the features of FH patients with T2DM and explore the effects of T2DM on CAD in FH. METHODS A total of 289 clinical heterozygous FH (HeFH) patients diagnosed with Dutch Lipid Clinic Criteria were consecutively recruited and divided into a T2DM group (n = 58) and non-T2DM group (n = 231). Clinical characteristics and laboratory findings were compared between the two groups. Target exome sequencing was used for gene mutation analysis. RESULTS HeFH patients with T2DM had significantly higher levels of triglycerides, body mass index and free fatty acids than did non-T2DM patients; moreover, patients with T2DM more frequently exhibited hypertension. However, the spectrum of FH-causing mutations was not significantly different (p = 0.061). Notably, patients with T2DM had higher prevalence of CAD (p = 0.012) and higher Gensini Score (p = 0.002). The regression analysis confirmed that HbA1c was an independent risk factor for both the presence and severity of CAD [OR 2.321 (1.098-4.904), p = 0.027; OR 1.349 (1.032-1.762), p = 0.028, respectively] in patients with HeFH. CONCLUSIONS Although there were not many differences in the clinical, lipid and genetic aspects of HeFH patients with and without T2DM, T2DM and HbA1c were associated with worse coronary lesions, suggesting that diabetes and the degree of blood glucose control are also important determinants of cardiovascular disease in these patients.

Overexpression of HER2 occurs in approximately 20% of breast cancers and is associated with shortened survival. Trastuzumab emtansine (T-DM1), an anti-HER2 ADC, has shown efficacy in HER2-positive breast cancer patients and was approved by the FDA and EMA for advanced HER2-positive breast cancer. However T-DM1 causes grade 3 and 4 thrombocytopenia in up to 14.5% of patients as its major toxicity. The thrombocytopenia is likely caused by one of T-DM1's catabolites and payload, DM1, indicating T-DM1's linker can be cleaved. Here we adopted a novel noncleavable linker and created an anti-HER2 ADC, BAT8001, which is expected be efficacious in HER2-positive breast cancer and have a better side effect profile relative to T-DM1 due to the stability of BAT8001's noncleavable linker. BAT8001 is internalized in HER2-positive cancer cells. It inhibits proliferation of HER2-positive tumor cells with IC50s of ˜0.1 nM, similar to the potency of T-DM1. BAT8001 also induces apoptosis in HER2-positive cancer cells. In both cell-line and patient-derived mouse xenograft (PDX) models, BAT8001 demonstrates strong inhibition activity on tumor growth. For example, in a cell-line model of breast cancer (BT474), BAT8001 demonstrates potent activity with complete responses in all animals tested at the 15mg/kg dose level. Pharmacokinetics studies in monkey reveals BAT8001 has similar Cmax, AUC, and t1/2 as T-DM1. The major catabolite of BAT8001 is the Cys-linker-payload containing product. No free payload is observed. This compares favorably with T-DM1 where free DM1, T-DM1's payload, is one of the major catabolites. In a multiple dose toxicity study, BAT8001 had a NOAEL of 15 mg/kg versus 10 mg/kg for T-DM1. BAT8001 exhibits similar potency to T-DM1 on inhibiting HER2-positive cell proliferation and tumor growth, yet demonstrates better multiple dose toxicity than T-DM1. The improved toxicity profile of BAT8001 suggests that the novel noncleavable linker utilized in BAT8001 is more stable than the linker utilized in T-DM1. BAT8001 is very efficacious in cell-line xenograft models of breast cancer. The preclinical profile of BAT8001 warrants further development for the treatment of breast cancer and other HER2-positive cancers.
