Abstract
As a physical mutagen, carbon ion beam (CIB) irradiation can induce high-frequency mutation, which is user-friendly and environment-friendly in plant breeding. In this study, we resequenced eight mutant lines which were screened out from the progeny of the CIB-irradiated dehulled rice seeds. Among these mutants, CIB induced 135,535 variations, which include single base substitutions (SBSs), and small insertion and deletion (InDels). SBSs are the most abundant mutation, and account for 88% of all variations. Single base conversion is the main type of SBS, and the average ratio of transition and transversion is 1.29, and more than half of the InDels are short-segmented mutation (1-2 bp). A total of 69.2% of the SBSs and InDels induced by CIBs occurred in intergenic regions on the genome. Surprisingly, the average mutation frequency in our study is 9.8 × 10-5/bp and much higher than that of the previous studies, which may result from the relatively high irradiation dosage and the dehulling of seeds for irradiation. By analyzing the mutation of every 1 Mb in the genome of each mutant strain, we found some unusual high-frequency (HF) mutation regions, where SBSs and InDels colocalized. This study revealed the mutation mechanism of dehulled rice seeds by CIB irradiation on the genome level, which will enrich our understanding of the mutation mechanism of CIB radiation and improve mutagenesis efficiency.

Geriatric nutritional risk index as a predictor for postoperative complications in patients with solid cancers: a meta-analysis. Front Oncol 2024; 14:1266291. Abstract
Background The geriatric nutritional risk index (GNRI) has been wildly used to predict the prognosis of patients with solid cancer, but it's value in postoperative complications remains unclear. The aim of our study was to systematically explore the value of the GNRI in postoperative complications in patients with solid cancer. Method The study conducted a systematic literature search using electronic databases to investigate the influence of the GNRI on postoperative complications in patients with solid cancer. The search covered articles published up until May 2023. The odds ratio (OR) with a 95% confidence interval (CI) was employed to assess the effect of GNRI on postoperative complications. Result A total of 11 studies with 11,002 patients were enrolled in our meta-analysis. The results suggested that patients with a low GNRI have a higher risk of experiencing postoperative complications (OR=2.51, 95%CI 2.05-3.02, z=9.86, p<0.001), a higher risk of suffering Clavien-Dindo (CD) grades≥2 complications(OR=2.24, 95%CI 1.84-2.73, z=8.01, p<0.001), a higher risk of suffering infection (OR=1.85, 95%CI 1.18-2.88, z=2.70, p=0.007) and a higher risk of suffering respiratory complications(OR = 2.94, 95%CI: 1.56-5.55, z=3.31, p=0.001). Conclusion Based on existing evidence, the GNRI was a valuable predictor of postoperative complications in patients with solid cancer. Abstract
Municipal solid waste incineration (MSWI) fly ash is defined as a kind of hazardous waste because of its high levels of multiple pollutants. The main component of MSWI fly ash is CaClOH, and the characteristics have not achieved consensus. And density functional theory (DFT) was used to calculate the formation process of CaClOH in this study, which mainly included HCl adsorption on CaO (0 0 1) surface and Ca(OH)2 (0 0 1) surface and the surface reaction process. The reaction mechanism was investigated. The results showed that the maximum adsorption energies of HCl on CaO and Ca(OH)2 surfaces reached - 195.17 kJ/mol and - 83.48 kJ/mol, respectively, representing strong chemisorption. The chemisorption process was shown as the adsorption of H atom on O site, and the adsorption capacity was reflected in the adsorption range of O site. The significant electron density overlap between O site and H atom meant that a new chemical bond formed, which made the adsorption structure stable. The adsorption energy of multi-HCl adsorption on the crystal surfaces was not proportional to the number of HCl molecule, indicating that the adsorption processes were influenced by each other. After surface reaction, the H-Cl bond was broken completely, and the structure of CaO and Ca(OH)2 changed to new structures. According to transition state (TS) search, the formation of CaClOH had a higher priority, easier than that of CaCl2, explaining the presence of CaClOH in fly ash. The study provides helpful information for the solidification treatment of fly ash.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Type A personality (TAP) was characterized by impatience, competitiveness, aggressiveness, and hostility. Higher TAP was proved to be associated with more eating disorder symptoms (EDS). While little is known about the underlying neural substrates of TAP and how TAP is linked to EDS at the neural level. METHODS To investigate the neural basis of TAP, we adopted fractional amplitude of low-frequency fluctuations (fALFF) and resting-state functional connectivity (RSFC) via resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI) (N = 1620). Mediation models were examined to explore the relationship between TAP, EDS, and brain activity. RESULTS TAP was associated with decreased fALFF in the left middle frontal gyrus (MFG) and increased fALFF in the left precentral gyrus (PreCG). Furthermore, TAP was positively correlated to RSFC between the left MFG and left inferior temporal gyrus (ITG) and between the left PreCG and right middle temporal gyrus (MTG). Mediation analysis showed TAP fully mediated the association of the left MFG activity, MFG-ITG connectivity, and PreCG-MTG connectivity with EDS. LIMITATIONS The cross-sectional design of this study precludes us from specifying the causal relationship in the associations we observed. CONCLUSIONS Our results suggested spontaneous activity in the left MFG and PreCG is associated with TAP, and even in general sample, people with higher TAP showed more EDS. The present study is the first to investigate the neurobiological underpinnings of TAP in a large sample and further offered new insights into the relation between TAP and EDS from a neural basis perspective.

Abstract
This mixed-methods study examined the effects of traditional Chinese medicine massage on the physique, athletic performance, body composition, and perceived physical and mental health of 10 middle-aged and older women by using questionnaires and multiple measurement instruments. Microsoft Office and IBM SPSS 26.0 were used for the verification and calculation of results. Multivariate analysis was employed to analyze the data. Intermittent exercise significantly influenced the body composition, physical fitness, sports performance, and physical and mental health of female college students and improved their self-confidence, sleep quality, eating habits, weight, blood pressure, and sports performance, even when not accompanied with massage. However, although the rate of improvement was stable, intermittent exercise with traditional Chinese medicine massage yielded greater improvements in abdominal muscle strength and flexibility than intermittent exercise without traditional Chinese medicine massage. In terms of physical and mental health, headache, head pressure, back pain, and sense of loss were significantly alleviated (p < 0.01) in the traditional Chinese medicine massage group.

Abstract
To understand the clinical characteristics of Staphylococcus aureus bloodstream infection and the main risk factors affecting clinical prognosis, providing a reference for clinical prevention and control of Staphylococcus aureus bloodstream infection. In this study, the clinical data of 152 patients with Staphylococcus aureus bloodstream infection admitted to Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital from January 2019 to December 2021 were retrospectively analyzed by reviewing the electronic medical record system, including underlying diseases, clinical characteristics, risk factors, and bacterial resistance. Statistical methods such as Chi-Squared Test and t Test were used to analyze the related risk factors that may affect the clinical characteristics and prognosis of patients with Staphylococcus aureus and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) bloodstream infection, then the variables with P<0.05 in univariate analysis were included in the multivariate logistic regression model to analyze the independent risk factors of poor prognosis. The results showed among 152 patients with Staphylococcus aureus bloodstream infection, 50 patients (32.89%) were infected with MRSA. In comparison, 102 patients (67.11%) were infected with methicillin-sensitive Staphylococcus aureus (MSSA). Except for rifampicin, the resistance rate of MRSA to commonly used antibiotics was all higher than that of MSSA, and the difference was statistically significant (Chi-square values were 8.272, 11.972, 4.998, 4.776, respectively;all P-values are less than 0.05). Strains resistant to vancomycin, linezolid, and quinupristin/dalfopristin were not found. In the MRSA group, indwelling catheter and drainage tube, carbapenems, and β-lactamase inhibitor treatment were significantly higher than the MSSA group. The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The incidence of poor prognosis of bloodstream infection in the MRSA group was higher than that in the MSSA group (34.00% vs 13.73%), and the difference was statistically significant (χ2=8.495, P<0.05). No independent risk factors associated with poor prognosis were found in the included patients with MRSA bloodstream infection.Multivariate Logistic regression model analysis showed that solid malignant tumors (OR=13.576, 95%CI: 3.352-54.977, P<0.05), mechanical ventilation (OR=7.468, 95%CI: 1.398-39.884, P<0.05) were the most important independent risk factors for poor prognosis in patients with Staphylococcus aureus bloodstream infection. In summary, the poor prognosis rate of MRSA bloodstream infection is higher than that of MSSA. The clinical evaluation of related risk factors should be strengthened, targeted prevention and control interventions should be taken to improve the prognosis of patients with Staphylococcus aureus bloodstream infection, and the use of antibiotics should be rational and standardized, to control bacterial infection and drug resistance effectively.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Early exercise for acute deep venous thrombosis (DVT) improves the patient's symptoms and does not increase the risk of pulmonary embolism. However, information about its effect on thrombus resolution is limited. The aim of this study was to investigate the role of resistance exercise (RE) in thrombus resolution and recanalization and determine its underlying mechanisms. METHODS: Ninety-six C57BL/6 J mice were randomly divided into four groups: Control group (C, n = 24); DVT group (D, n = 24); RE + DVT group (ED, n = 24); and inhibitor + RE + DVT group (IED, n = 24). A DVT model was induced by stenosis of the inferior vena cava (IVC). After undergoing IVC ultrasound within 24 h post-operation to confirm DVT formation, mice without thrombosis were excluded. Other mice were sacrificed and specimens were obtained 14 or 28 days after operation. Thrombus-containing IVC was weighed, and the thrombus area and recanalization rate were calculated using HE staining. Masson's trichrome staining was used to analyze the collagen content. RT-PCR and ELISA were performed to examine IL-6, TNF-α, IL-10, and VEGF expression levels. SIRT1 expression was assessed using immunohistochemistry staining and RT-PCR. VEGF-A protein expression and CD-31-positive microvascular density (MVD) in the thrombus were observed using immunohistochemistry. RESULTS: RE did not increase the incidence of pulmonary embolism. It reduced the weight and size of the thrombus and the collagen content. Conversely, it increased the recanalization rate. It also decreased the levels of the pro-inflammatory factors IL-6 and TNF-α and increased the expression levels of the anti-inflammatory factor IL-10. RE enhanced VEGF and SIRT1 expression levels and increased the MVD in the thrombosis area. After EX527 (SIRT1 inhibitor) was applied, the positive effects of exercise were suppressed. CONCLUSIONS RE can inhibit inflammatory responses, reduce collagen deposition, and increase angiogenesis in DVT mice, thereby promoting thrombus resolution and recanalization. Its underlying mechanism may be associated with the upregulation of SIRT1 expression.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Transplant recipients have a higher risk of SARS-CoV-2 infection owing to the use of immunosuppressive drugs like tacrolimus (FK506). FK506 and nirmatrelvir (NMV) (an anti-SARS-CoV-2 drug) are metabolized by cytochrome P450 3A4 and may have potential drug-drug interactions. It is important to determine the effect of NMV on FK506 concentrations. PATIENTS AND METHODS Following protein precipitation from blood, FK506 and its internal standard (FK506-13C,2d4) were detected by ultra-high performance liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC-MS/MS). Total 22 blood samples (valley concentrations) from two coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients were collected and analyzed for FK506 concentrations. RESULTS Blood levels of FK506 (0.5-100 ng/mL) showed good linearity. The UHPLC-MS/MS method was validated with intra- and inter-batch accuracies of 104.55-107.85%, and 99.52-108.01%, respectively, and precisions of < 15%. Mean blood FK506 concentration was 12.01 ng/mL (range, 3.15-33.1 ng/mL). Five-day co-administration with NMV increased the FK506 concentrations from 3.15 ng/mL to 33.1 ng/mL, returning to 3.36 ng/mL after a 9-day-washout. CONCLUSIONS We developed a simple quantification method for therapeutic drug monitoring of FK506 in patients with COVID-19 using UHPLC-MS/MS with protein precipitation. We found that NMV increased FK506 blood concentration 10-fold. Therefore, it is necessary to re-consider co-administration of FK506 with NMV.

Abstract
Background The COVID-19 pandemic greatly impacted primary care and cancer care. We studied how primary care utilization in Ontario, Canada changed for patients who were newly diagnosed with cancer just prior to the COVID-19 pandemic compared to those diagnosed in non-pandemic years. Methods This population-based, retrospective cohort study used linked healthcare databases to compare outcomes for patients with a new malignancy diagnosed within the year prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, between July 1 and September 30, 2019 (COVID-19 cohort) to those diagnosed in the same months in 2018 and 2017 (pre-pandemic cohort). We used Poisson regression models to compare rates of in-person and virtual visits to patients’ usual primary care physician (PCP), emergency department (ED) visits, and hospitalizations, all reported per person-year of follow-up. Results In-person visits to usual PCPs decreased from 4.07/person-year in the pre-pandemic cohort to 2.58 in the COVID-19 cohort (p < 0.0001). Virtual visits to usual PCPs increased from 0.00 to 1.53 (p < 0.0001). Combined in-person and virtual visits to patients’ usual PCPs was unchanged from 4.07 to 4.12 (p = 0.89). The rate of ED visits decreased from 0.99/person-year to 0.88 (p < 0.0001). Non-elective hospitalizations remained unchanged, from 0.49/person-year to 0.47 (p = 0.1675). Conclusion There was a sizeable shift in primary care visits for cancer patients from in-person to virtual during the pandemic, although there was no resultant increase in hospitalizations. This suggests that early in the pandemic, virtual care allowed for continuity in utilization of primary care, though further studies are required to confirm this persisted later in the pandemic. Abstract
Nonmetallic ammonium ions that feature high safety, low molar mass, and small hydrated radius properties have shown great advantages in wearable aqueous supercapacitors. The construction of high-energy-density flexible ammonium-ion asymmetric supercapacitors (AASCs) is promising but still challenging due to the lack of high-capacitance pseudocapacitive anodes. Herein, freestanding core-shell heterostructures supported on carbon nanotube fibers were designed by anchoring MoS2 nanosheets on nanowires (MoS2@TiN/CNTF) as anodes for AASCs. With contributions of abundant active sites and conspicuous synergistic effects of multiple components for arrayed heterostructure engineering, the developed MoS2@TiN/CNTF anodes exhibit a specific capacitance of 1102.5 mF cm-2 at 2 mA cm-2. Theoretical calculations confirm the dramatic enhancement of the binding strength of ammonium ions on the MoS2 shell layer at the heterostructure, where a built-in electric field exists to accelerate the charge transfer. By utilizing a MnO2/CNTF cathode and NH4Cl/poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) as a gel electrolyte, quasi-solid-state fiber-shaped AASCs were successfully constructed, achieving a specific capacitance of 351.2 mF cm-2 and an energy density of 195.1 μWh cm-2, outperforming most recently reported fiber-shaped supercapacitors. This work provides a promising strategy to rationally design heterostructure engineering of MoS2@TiN nanoarrays toward advanced anodes for application in next-generation AASCs.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES This study aims to reveal the individual differences in Neuroticism and cognitive flexibility among successful restrained eaters (SREs), unsuccessful restrained eaters (UREs), and non-restrained eaters (NREs). Moreover, this study is dedicated to investigating whether certain personality traits and cognitive flexibility could concurrently influence disinhibited eating behaviors among restrained eaters and reveal the pathways through which they interact. METHODS Female participants aged 17 and 24 years (NREs = 23; SREs = 24; UREs = 23) were assessed with body mass index (BMI) and appetite state measurement, the Dutch Eating Behavior Questionnaire (DEBQ), the NEO Five-Factor Inventory (NEO-FFI), and the Positive and Negative Affect Schedule. To measure behavioral and neural responses related to cognitive flexibility, participants were required to complete a food-related switching task, and their brain activities were recorded through the technique of electroencephalography (EEG). Here we analyzed two widely investigated components-the N2 and P3 components that separately relate to conflict monitoring and response inhibition. RESULTS The behavioral performance of food-related task switching did not show significant between-group differences. However, in comparison to NREs and SREs, UREs elicited larger N2 and lower P3 amplitudes during task switching. In addition, UREs exhibited a lower level of Neuroticism than SREs and NREs. Furthermore, food-related task switching induced N2 amplitude fully mediated the association between Neuroticism and disinhibited eating behavior in restrained eaters controlled for BMI and negative affect. Importantly, when a parallel mediation model with N2 and P3 was built concurrently, N2 was still able to fully mediate the association. CONCLUSION According to behavioral and neural evidence, increased N2 amplitude induced by food-related task switching totally mediated the negative association between Neuroticism and disinhibited eating in restrained eaters.

In this work, we report fluorine-doped tungsten sulfide as an exceptional electrocatalyst for H2O2 generation (95% at 0.6 V vs. RHE). The fluorine dopants boost the catalytic efficiency by reducing the binding strength between the catalytic center and OOH* species.

Abstract
Food-related inhibition plays a critical role in the manifestation of overweight. Previous research has focused exclusively on stimulus-driven (reactive) inhibition, which is different from intentional inhibition that refers to an internally generated decision to "stop". This study investigated the food-related neurophysiological correlates of intentional and reactive inhibitions in overweight and normal-weight adults. We compared 35 overweight participants (OWs) and 34 normal-weight participants (NWs) on performance and electroencephalography-based measures during a food-related go/no-go/choose task. In this task, participants made reactive responses to an instructed go/no-go target or made intentional choices whether to execute or inhibit a keypress when presented with a free-choice target. Our results mainly showed, 1) for group-difference, N2a amplitudes of OWs were less negative than that of NWs in the intentional trials; 2) for source difference, N2a amplitudes were less negative in reactive condition than in intentional condition uniquely in OWs. Moreover, comparison across intentional responses revealed that P2 amplitudes in no-go trials were lower than in go trials. Additionally, a greater body mass index correlated with lower intentional no-go-P2 and reactive go/no-go-P2 amplitudes. These findings suggest that overweight is associated with deficits in food-related intentional inhibition, which is segregated from reactive inhibition. The individual differences in premotor inhibition during free-choice situations might provide an explanation for overeating behaviors in overweight adults' daily life. Further, our results refine the ERP marker of intentional inhibition from N2 to N2a, which could be an essential neural mechanism underlying the "free won't" of food in OWs.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the clinical features and influencing factors of liver function injury in patients with 2019-nCoV/SARS-CoV-2 Omicron mutant strains. Methods: 1 183 confirmed imported cases of SARS-CoV-2 who were admitted at Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center (affiliated to Fudan University) from July 1, 2021 to January 15, 2022 were collected. Clinical data, viral genotyping and laboratory test results were collected to retrospectively analyze the basic condition and clinical characteristics of liver function injury. Statistical analysis was performed using t-test or Wilcoxon rank-sum test, χ2 test or Fisher's exact test, Pearson correlation test and logistic regression analysis. Results: 125 (10.6%) cases had raised baseline ALT level and 60 (5.1%) cases had abnormal baseline AST level. Among them, 33 cases (2.8%) had received hepatoprotective drugs. Liver function injury was generally mild in SARS-CoV-2 infection and minimal in Omicron mutant strains. Leukocyte count was increased in patients with raised alanine aminotransferase (ALT) [(6.96±1.78)×109/L vs. (6.41±1.96)×109/L, P=0.005 2], CT scan showed the proportion of liver hypodensity was significantly increased (2.4% vs. 0.3%, P=0.018 0). High-sensitivity C-reactive protein [(7.83±22.36) mg/L vs. (2.68±6.21) mg/L, P=0.007 8] and D-dimer [(0.34±0.39) μg/ml vs. (0.31±0.75) μg/ml, P=0.047 5] levels were higher in patients with raised AST than normal group. 26 cases had normal liver function at hospital admission; however, abnormal liver function was occurred during the course of the disease. Another 8 patients had abnormal liver function at hospital admission, and reduced liver function further during the course of treatment. Recovery time and length of hospital stay was significantly affected in patients with worsened liver function. Baseline body mass index value [odds ratio (OR)]=1.80, P=0.047), non-Omicron strains (OR=12.63, P=0.046), D-dimer (OR=2.36, P=0.047) and interleukin-6 levels (OR=1.03, P=0.009), and those who used glucocorticoids and/or ulinastatin after hospital admission (OR=6.89, P=0.034) had a higher risk of worsening liver function. Conclusions: Liver dysfunction could be observed among COVID-19 patients. Patients infected with omicron variant generally showed mild liver injury. Dynamic monitoring of liver function is necessary, especially among those with baseline elevated IL-6, D-Dimer level and use of antiinflammation medication during treatment.

Metal–organic
frameworks (MOFs) have recently emerged as
ideal electrode materials and precursors for electrochemical energy
storage and conversion (EESC) owing to their large specific surface
areas, highly tunable porosities, abundant active sites, and diversified
choices of metal nodes and organic linkers. Both MOF-based and MOF-derived
materials in powder form have been widely investigated in relation
to their synthesis methods, structure and morphology controls, and
performance advantages in targeted applications. However, to engage
them for energy applications, both binders and additives would be
required to form postprocessed electrodes, fundamentally eliminating
some of the active sites and thus degrading the superior effects of
the MOF-based/derived materials. The advancement of freestanding electrodes
provides a new promising platform for MOF-based/derived materials
in EESC thanks to their apparent merits, including fast electron/charge
transmission and seamless contact between active materials and current
collectors. Benefiting from the synergistic effect of freestanding
structures and MOF-based/derived materials, outstanding electrochemical
performance in EESC can be achieved, stimulating the increasing enthusiasm
in recent years. This review provides a timely and comprehensive overview
on the structural features and fabrication techniques of freestanding
MOF-based/derived electrodes. Then, the latest advances in freestanding
MOF-based/derived electrodes are summarized from electrochemical energy
storage devices to electrocatalysis. Finally, insights into the currently
faced challenges and further perspectives on these feasible solutions
of freestanding MOF-based/derived electrodes for EESC are discussed,
aiming at providing a new set of guidance to promote their further
development in scale-up production and commercial applications.

Abstract
32 Background: Primary care physicians (PCPs) provide essential support for cancer patients. Both primary and cancer care have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. In the US, cancer related encounters and screening decreased over 40% and 80% respectively in January to April 2020 compared to 2019 (London et al JCO Clin Cancer Inform 2020). However, the impact of the pandemic on primary care access for cancer patients remains unclear. Methods: This was a population-based, retrospective cohort study using administrative healthcare databases held at ICES in Ontario, Canada. Patients with a new gastrointestinal (GI) malignancy diagnosed within the year prior to the pandemic, between July 1 and Sept 30, 2019 (COVID-19 cohort), were compared to patients diagnosed in years unaffected by the pandemic, between July 1 – Sept 30, 2018 and July 1 – Sept 30, 2017 (pre-pandemic cohort). Both groups were followed for 12 months after initial cancer diagnosis. In the COVID-19 cohort, this allowed for at least 4 months of follow-up data occurring during the pandemic. The primary outcome was number of in-person and telemedicine visits with a PCP. Secondary outcomes were number of in-person and telemedicine visits with a medical oncologist, number of emergency department (ED) visits, and number of unplanned hospitalizations. Outcomes, reported as number of visits per person-year, were compared between the COVID-19 and pre-pandemic cohorts. Results: 2833 individuals diagnosed with a new GI malignancy in the COVID-19 cohort were compared to 5698 individuals in the pre-pandemic cohort. The number of in-person visits to PCPs per person-year significantly decreased from 7.13 [95% CI 7.05 – 7.20] in the pre-pandemic cohort to 4.75 [4.66 – 4.83] in the COVID-19 cohort. Telemedicine visits to PCPs increased from 0.06 [0.05 – 0.07] to 2.07 [2.01 – 2.12]. Combined in-person and telemedicine visits to PCPs decreased from 7.19 [7.11 – 7.26] to 6.82 [6.71 – 6.92]. In-person visits to medical oncologists decreased from 3.73 [3.68 – 3.79] to 2.87 [2.80 – 2.94], and telemedicine visits increased from 0.10 [0.10 – 0.11] to 0.95 [0.91 – 0.99]. Combined in-person and telemedicine visits to medical oncologists remained stable (3.84 [3.78 – 3.89] vs. 3.82 [3.74 – 3.90]). The number of ED visits per person-year decreased from 1.04 [1.01 – 1.07] in the pre-pandemic cohort to 0.93 [0.89 – 0.97] in the COVID-19 cohort. Unplanned hospitalizations did not show a significant change (0.56 [0.54 – 0.58] vs. 0.53 [0.50 – 0.56]). Conclusions: PCP visits for patients with newly diagnosed GI malignancies overall decreased during the pandemic, with a dramatic shift from in-person to telemedicine visits. Visits to medical oncologists also shifted from in-person to telemedicine, but the overall combined visits remained the same. While the number of ED visits decreased, the shift in ambulatory practices did not seem to impact the number of unplanned hospitalizations.

Abstract
Wernekinck commissure syndrome is a rare midbrain infarction, it consists of several symptoms including bilateral cerebellar ataxia, ophthalmoplegia, and palatal tremor. Holmes tremor is a rare clinical syndrome characterized by a combination of resting, postural, and action tremors. We describe two cases of Wernekinck commissure syndrome with Holmes tremor. To the best of our knowledge, it has been rarely reported in the literature to date. Both of the cases were presented with acute onset of bilateral cerebellar ataxia, dysarthria, and Holmes tremor. In the treatment, one patient was given "clonazepam and benheisol," the other was received acupuncture therapy, both of them showed a marked improvement in ataxia and tremor.

Abstract
Farmers have been very precious for societies for ages. Their active experiments, valuable knowledge about their surroundings, environment, and crops' requirements have been a vital part of society. However, the psychological perspectives have been a hole in the loop of farming. Hence, this study has investigated the antecedents of entrepreneurial behaviors of farmers with the mediating risk of their entrepreneurial self-efficacy (ESE). The population chosen for this study was the farming community of suburbs of China, and a sample size of 300 was selected for the data collection. This is a survey study, where a structured questionnaire was adapted on a five-point Likert scale. The data were collected from the farming community to know their psychological and behavioral preferences about their profession. This study has produced interesting results that education, training, and intrinsic motivation play a vital role in farmers' ESE, affecting their entrepreneurial behaviors. This study will add to the body of knowledge and provide an eminent path for emerging entrepreneurs to find more mentorship opportunities to overcome the limitations in upcoming endeavors influencing education and training.

Abstract
The COVID-19 virus has devastated lives and economies worldwide. The responses of nursing teams to large-scale COVID-19 screening have rarely been addressed or described. The aim of this study is to introduce an efficient response strategy for nurses in large-scale COVID-19 screening. A new COVID-19 case was confirmed on Jan 14, 2021 in Nanning, China. Immediately, a large-scale COVID-19 screening was launched and ran from Jan 14 to Jan 17, 2021. Our nurse team responding to the screening included three major components: (1) establishing a leadership group and a nucleic acid sampling emergency team; (2) defining, conducting, and evaluating nurse training; (3) implementing efficient sampling schemes (10 in 1 mixed sample technique). A total of 500 nurse volunteers were recruited and divided into three echelons. A total of 353 trained nurses were sent to 65 sampling stand stations. In cooperation with nurses from other health institutions, samples were collected from a total of 854,215 people in only 4 days for 2019-nCOV nucleic acid screening. The preparation and efficient response strategies used to conduct this screening may provide a baseline reference for future large-scale COVID-19 screening worldwide.

Abstract
This study analyzed the effects of imagery training on athletes' imagery ability, physical anxiety and athletic performance. This study employed a mixed research approach. Snowball sampling was used to select 55 fin swimmers with imagery training experience and formal competition participation. Basic statistics were obtained, and Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient (PPMCC) analysis was performed using IBM SPSS Statistics for Windows, Version 26.0, and the results were compared with the opinions of three experts and were tested using multivariate validation methods. The results revealed that although imagery training can help athletes improve their performance and significantly reduce their anxiety during the competition, athletes can still make mistakes due to internal and environmental factors and even have negative thoughts that lead to their reduced likelihood of competition participation. By strengthening strategic and technical imagery training, we can help our fin swimmers perform at a higher level, achieve their goals, and improve overall satisfaction with their competition process and performance.

Background
Ablation of para-hisian accessory pathways (APs) remains challenging due to anatomic characteristics and few studies have focused on the causes for recurrence of radiofrequency ablation of para-hisian APs.
Objective
This retrospective single center study was aimed to explore the risk factors for recurrence of para-hisian APs.
Methods
113 patients who had a para-hisian AP with an acute success were enrolled in the study. In the 11-year follow-up, 15 cases had a recurrent para-hisian AP. Therefore 98 patients were classified into success group while 15 patients were classified into recurrence group. Demographic and ablation characteristics were analyzed.
Results
Gender difference was similar in two groups. The median age was 36.2 years old and was younger in recurrence group. Maximum ablation power was significantly higher in success group (29 ± 7.5 vs 22.9 ± 7.8, p < 0.01). Ablation time of final target sites was found to be markedly higher in success group (123.4 ± 53.1 vs 86.7 ± 58.3, p < 0.05). Ablation time less than 60 seconds was detected in 12 (12.2%) cases in success group and 7 (46.7%) cases in recurrence group (p < 0.01). Occurrence of junctional rhythm was significantly higher in recurrence group (25.5% vs 53.3%, p < 0.05). No severe conduction block, no pacemaker implantation and no stroke were reported. Junctional rhythm during ablation (OR = 3.833, 95%CI 1.083-13.572, p = 0.037) and ablation time <60s (OR = 5.487, 95%CI 1.411-21.340, p = 0.014) were independent risk factors for the recurrence of para-hisian AP.
Conclusions
Considering the long-term safety of ablation of para-hisian AP, proper extension of ablation time and increase of ablation power could be applied during operation.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the pathologic features of responses to neoadjuvant immunotherapy of squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) of the lung. Methods: The study included 31 patients with resected lung SCC post neoadjuvant immunotherapy. All patients were recruited from the neoadjuvant anti-PD-1 (Sintilimab) phase Ⅰb clinical trial (ChiCTR-OIC-17013726). The histopathological morphology and different degrees of pathologic response to immunotherapy were evaluated basing on irPRC standard. Results: According to the percentage of residual viable tumor (% RVT), pathologic responses of complete pathologic response (cPR), major pathologic response (MPR) and non-MPR were noted in 19% (n=6), 29% (n=9), and 52% (n=16) of patients respectively. In addition, extensive immune activation phenomena (immune cell infiltration, including infiltration of lymphocytes, plasma cells, foamy macrophages, lymphocyte aggregation and tertiary lymphoid structures formation) and tissue repair features (giant cells, granuloma formation, proliferative fibrosis and neovascularization) were observed in tumor regression bed. Conclusions: Neoadjuvant immunotherapy has favorable effect on lung SCC. Pathologic assessment of resected lung cancer specimens after neoadjuvant immunotherapy shows unique histopathological features consistent with its mechanism.

Abstract
Background Encephalomyocarditis virus, member of Cardiovirus genus within Picornaviridae family, is an important pathogen that infects different domestic and wild animals. However, the molecular mechanism of its entry remains unclear. In this study, we investigated the mechanism of EMCV infectivity in relation to endocytic pathway using BHK-21 cells. Methods The function of numerous cellular key factors implicated in the various endocytic mechanisms were systematically explored using chemical inhibitors. Furthermore, RNA interference (RNAi) as well as the overexpression of dominant protein combined to virus infectivity assays, and confocal microscopy was used to examine EMCV infection in details. Results The results indicated that the EMCV entry into BHK-21 cells depends on caveolin, dynamin, and actin but not clathrin nor macropinocytosis pathways. The effects of overexpression and knockdown of caveolin-1, one components of the caveolae, was examined on EMCV infection. The results showed that EMCV infection was positive correlation with caveolin-1 expression. Confocal microscopy analysis and internalization assay showed that caveolin-1 is required at the early stage of EMCV infection. Conclusions Caveolin-1, dynamin, and actin-dependent endocytosis pathways are necessary for EMCV infection in vitro.

Using Beigang Township in Taiwan as a case study, we first conducted a questionnaire survey and analyzed 600 respondents by statistical verifications method, then used an interview method to compile suggestions from experts and scholars, and finally conducted a field survey to collect actual information. After summarizing, organizing, and analyzing all the data, the study was examined in a multivariate manner. This study concludes that creating parking spaces, providing a comfortable resting place, facilitating the exchange of ideas, and improving the environmental literacy of the public will increase the public attention to issues such as village visibility, people interaction, ancient architecture, culture and totems, public health and transportation, and entrepreneurial development, as well as address the concerns of local residents and some men and people over 31–40 years old. By doing so, we can improve community building and security, enrich cultural resources, build and develop sufficient industries, stabilize prices, obtain a safe and hygienic village environment, increase the desire to revisit, become a recommendation for family travel, and achieve the goal of sustainable development of rural environment and health.

Higher vocational education in China has become an important part of higher education. It is an important type of higher education and a high level of vocational education. In order to cultivate the sound personality of students in higher vocational colleges, it is necessary to establish a personality-based education model. Realize the innovation of talent training mode and the quality improvement of personnel training. Meeting the new normal of the innovation-driven society, the demand for high-quality technical skills is required. It is a major practical problem facing the current construction of a modern vocational education system.

Abstract
A high functioning 74-year-old man with systemic lupus erythematosus presented to the emergency department with acute anxiety. He was found to have elevated cardiac enzymes and admitted to the cardiology service for investigation. In hospital, he developed an erythematous papular rash, and deteriorated to being somnolent and bedridden. He was found to have new multiterritory ischaemic strokes. It was eventually noted that he had persistent eosinophilia, present even on admission, which had been overlooked as the total leucocyte count was normal. Serology for antiphospholipid antibody syndrome (APS) was positive. He was diagnosed with hypereosinophilic syndrome (HES) secondary to new APS, and responded to high-dose steroids. This case highlights the importance of fully evaluating a leucocyte differential to make a diagnosis of HES. We discuss the definition, clinical manifestations, diagnostic approach and management of this important condition.

Abstract
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Thrombectomy up to 24 hours after stroke onset in patients with specific ischemic brain volumes remains a challenge, because many stroke centers do not apply specialized software to calculate ischemic volumes at advanced imaging. We aimed to establish the association between relative filling time delay on CTP source imaging and ischemic volume parameters and the infarct penumbra to core volume mismatch in patients with acute ischemic stroke. MATERIALS AND METHODS Consecutive patients with acute ischemic stroke and with M1 segment MCA with or without terminal ICA occlusions on baseline CTA and CTP within 24 hours of stroke symptom onset were included. Ischemic volumes were analyzed with software based on CTP maps. Relative filling time delay was classified into 4 grades-grade 0: relative filling time delay = 0 seconds; grade 1: relative filling time delay >0 to ≤4 seconds; grade 2: relative filling time delay >4 to ≤8 seconds; and grade 3: relative filling time delay > 8 seconds. Differences in ischemic volume parameters among relative filling time delay grades were tested. RESULTS We recruited 138 patients (median age, 69 years; 62.3% male). Different median volumes of the infarct core (grade 0, 7.3 mL; grade 1, 23.3 mL; grade 2, 45.7 mL; grade 3, 135 mL [P < .001]) and the penumbra (grade 0, 47.6 mL; grade 1, 90 mL; grade 2, 110 mL; grade 3, 92 mL [P = .043]) were observed among relative filling time delay grades. Target mismatch (defined by the criteria of the DEFUSE 3 trial) was identified in 71.7% of the patients (99/138). A relative filling time delay grade ≤ 1 independently predicted target mismatch, with a sensitivity of 0.79 (95% CI, 0.7-0.87) and a specificity of 0.66 (95% CI, 0.49-0.8). CONCLUSIONS Relative filling time delay grade based on CTP source imaging is a simple and effective parameter for evaluating ischemic volumes and target mismatch in patients with acute ischemic stroke. Further studies that compare relative filling time delay grade with clinical functional outcomes are necessary.

Abstract
Objective: To summarize the clinical characteristics and liver biochemical parameters of 324 cases admitted with novel coronavirus pneumonia in Shanghai area. Methods: Clinical data and baseline liver biochemical parameters of 324 cases with novel coronavirus pneumonia admitted to the Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center from January 20, 2020 to February 24, 2020 were retrospectively analyzed. Patients were divided into two groups based on the status of illness: mild type (mild and typical) and severe type (severe and critical).The differences in clinical data and baseline liver biochemical parameters of the two groups were described and compared. The t-test and Wilcoxon rank-sum test were used for measurement data. The enumeration data were expressed by frequency and rate, and chi-square test was used. Results: Of the 324 cases with novel coronavirus pneumonia, 26 were severe cases (8%), with median onset of 5 days, 20 cases were HBsAg positive (6.2%), and 70 cases (21.6%) with fatty liver, diagnosed with X-ray computed tomography. Alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), γ-glutamyl transferase (GGT), total bilirubin (TBil), albumin(ALB) and international normalized ratio (INR) of 324 cases at baseline were 27.86 ± 20.02 U/L, 29.33 ± 21.02 U/L, 59.93 ± 18.96 U / L, 39.00 ± 54.44 U/L, 9.46 ± 4.58 μmol / L, 40.64 ± 4.13 g / L and 1.02 ± 0.10. Of which, ALT was > than the upper limit of normal (> ULN), accounting for 15.7% (51/324). ALT and AST > ULN, accounting for 10.5% (34/324). ALP > ULN, accounting for 1.2% (4/324). ALP and GGT > ULN, accounting for 0.9% (3/324). INR > ULN was lowest, accounting for 0.6% (2/324). There were no statistically significant differences (P > 0.05) in ALT [(21.5 vs. 26) U / L, P = 0.093], ALP [(57 vs.59) U/L, P = 0.674], and GGT [(24 vs.28) U/L, P = 0.101] between the severe group and the mild group. There were statistically significant differences in AST (23 U/L vs. 34 U/L, P < 0.01), TBil (10.75 vs. 8.05 μmol / L, P < 0.01), ALB (35.79 ± 4.75 vs. 41.07 ± 3.80 g/L, P < 0.01), and INR (1.00 vs. 1.04, P < 0.01). Conclusion: The baseline liver biochemical parameters of 324 cases with novel coronavirus pneumonia in Shanghai area was comparatively lower and the liverinjury degree was mild, and the bile duct cell damage was rare.

Abstract
A collaborative study was conducted to validate a method for the determination of glyphosate and aminomethylphosphonic acid (AMPA) in crops. The analytes are extracted from crops with water, and the crude extracts are then subjected to a cation exchange cleanup. The analytes are derivatized by the direct addition of the aqueous extract into a mixture of heptafluorobutanol and trifluoroacetic anhydride. The derivatized analytes are quantitated by capillary gas chromatography with mass-selective detection (MSD). The collaborative study involved 13 laboratories located in 5 countries 12 laboratories returned valid data sets. The crops tested were field corn grain, soya forage, and walnut nutmeat at concentrations of 0.050, 0.40, and 2.0 mg/kg. The study used a split-level pair replication scheme with blindly coded laboratory samples. Twelve materials were analyzed, including 1 control and 3 split-level pairs for each matrix, 1 pair at each nominal concentration. For glyphosate, the mean recovery was 91%, the average intralaboratory variance, the repeatability relative standard deviation (RSDr), was 11%, and the interlaboratory variance, the reproducibility relative standard deviation (RSDR), was 16%. For AMPA, the mean recovery was 87%, the RSDr was 16%, and the RSDR was 25% at mg/kg levels.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The tumor microenvironment (TME) regulates tumor progression, and cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) are the primary stromal components of the TME, with the potential to drive tumor metastasis via the secretion of paracrine factors, but the specific mechanisms driving this process have not been defined. METHODS Proteins secreted from CAFs and normal fibroblasts (NFs) were analyzed via proteomic analysis (fold change > 2, p < 0.05) to identify tumor-promoting proteins secreted by CAFs. RESULTS Proteomic analysis revealed that microfibrillar-associated protein 5 (MFAP5) is preferentially expressed and secreted by CAFs relative to NFs, which was confirmed by Western blotting and RT-qPCR. Transwell and wound healing assays confirmed that MFAP5 is secreted by CAFs, and drives the invasion and migration of MCF7 breast cancer cells. We further found that in MCF7 cells MFAP5 promoted epithelial-mesenchymal transition, activating Notch1 signaling and consequently upregulating NICD1 and slug. When Notch1 was knocked down in MCF7 cells, the ability of MFAP5 to promote invasion and migration decreased. CONCLUSION CAFs promote cancer cells invasion and migration via MFAP5 secretion and activation of the Notch1/slug signaling. These data highlight this pathway as a therapeutic target to disrupt tumor progression through the interference of CAF-tumor crosstalk.

Abstract
Uniform positively charged polystyrene microspheres were synthesized and further examined as a new sorbent for water remediation. The structures of the resulting sorbent were characterized by field-emission scanning electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and 1H nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. The adsorption performance of the sorbent was evaluated using three typical pollutants, namely, Congo red, phosphate, and Cr(VI). The adsorption isotherms were fitted by the Langmuir and Freundlich models, while the adsorption kinetics was analyzed by the pseudo-first-order, pseudo-second-order, and intraparticle diffusion equations. The thermodynamic parameters of the adsorption process including changes of enthalpy, entropy and Gibbs free energy, and binding constant were obtained by isothermal titration calorimetry measurements. The effects of solution pH and competitive ions on the adsorption process were investigated. The adsorption isotherms could be better fitted by the Langmuir model, yielding maximum adsorption capacities of 18, 6.2, and 1.1 mg g-1 for the adsorption of Congo red, Cr(VI), and phosphate, respectively. The adsorption kinetics could be best described by the pseudo-second-order equation. The spent sorbent was regenerated by washing with 1 M KOH and showed outstanding long-term cyclic performance. The findings suggested that the positive charges at the surface of polystyrene microspheres could serve as effective sites for the immobilization of anionic pollutants in solutions owing to the electrostatic attraction.

Abstract
Here, we report a stable tungsten carbide hollow microsphere (W2C-HS) electrocatalyst with robust electrocatalytic activity toward hydrogen evolution reaction fabricated from carburization of tungsten oxides at 700 °C with CH4/H2 flow, which demands overpotentials of 153 and 264 mV to deliver 10 and 100 mA cm-2 ascribing to the hollow structures beneficial for interfacial charge transfer as well as releasing of hydrogen molecular. Meanwhile, the W2C-HS electrocatalyst exhibits undetectable degradation after 20 000 potential cycles indicative of extraordinary durability; in contrast, overpotential@100 mA cm-2 is dramatically increased from 128 to 251 mV after only 2000 potential cycles for benchmark platinum electrocatalyst.
