Abstract
Based on (10087±44)×10^{6} J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector, a partial wave analysis of the decay J/ψ→γK_{S}^{0}K_{S}^{0}η^{'} is performed. The mass and width of the X(2370) are measured to be 2395±11(stat)_{-94}^{+26}(syst) MeV/c^{2} and 188_{-17}^{+18}(stat)_{-33}^{+124}(syst) MeV, respectively. The corresponding product branching fraction is B[J/ψ→γX(2370)]×B[X(2370)→f_{0}(980)η^{'}]×B[f_{0}(980)→K_{S}^{0}K_{S}^{0}]=(1.31±0.22(stat)_{-0.84}^{+2.85}(syst))×10^{-5}. The statistical significance of the X(2370) is greater than 11.7σ and the spin parity is determined to be 0^{-+} for the first time. The measured mass and spin parity of the X(2370) are consistent with the predictions of the lightest pseudoscalar glueball.

Abstract
We present measurements of the Born cross sections for the processes e^{+}e^{-}→ωχ_{c1} and ωχ_{c2} at center-of-mass energies sqrt[s] from 4.308 to 4.951 GeV. The measurements are performed with data samples corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 11.0 fb^{-1} collected with the BESIII detector operating at the Beijing Electron Positron Collider storage ring. Assuming the e^{+}e^{-}→ωχ_{c2} signals come from a single resonance, the mass and width are determined to be M=(4413.6±9.0±0.8) MeV/c^{2} and Γ=(110.5±15.0±2.9) MeV, respectively, which is consistent with the parameters of the well-established resonance ψ(4415). In addition, we also use one single resonance to describe the e^{+}e^{-}→ωχ_{c1} line shape and determine the mass and width to be M=(4544.2±18.7±1.7) MeV/c^{2} and Γ=(116.1±33.5±1.7) MeV, respectively. The structure of this line shape, observed for the first time, requires further understanding.

Abstract
We perform a study of the χ_{c1}(3872) line shape using the data samples of e^{+}e^{-}→γχ_{c1}(3872), χ_{c1}(3872)→D^{0}D[over ¯]^{0}π^{0}, and π^{+}π^{-}J/ψ collected with the BESIII detector. The effects of the coupled channels and the off-shell D^{*0} are included in the parametrization of the line shape. The line shape mass parameter is obtained to be M_{X}=(3871.63±0.13_{-0.05}^{+0.06}) MeV. Two poles are found on the first and second Riemann sheets corresponding to the D^{*0}D[over ¯]^{0} branch cut. The pole location on the first sheet is much closer to the D^{*0}D[over ¯]^{0} threshold than the other, and is determined to be 7.04±0.15_{-0.08}^{+0.07} MeV above the D^{0}D[over ¯]^{0}π^{0} threshold with an imaginary part -0.19±0.08_{-0.19}^{+0.14} MeV.

Abstract
Using a sample of (10087±44)×10^{6} J/ψ events, which is about 45 times larger than that was previously analyzed, a further investigation on the J/ψ→γ3(π^{+}π^{-}) decay is performed. A significant distortion at 1.84 GeV/c^{2} in the line shape of the 3(π^{+}π^{-}) invariant mass spectrum is observed for the first time, which could be resolved by two overlapping resonant structures, X(1840) and X(1880). The new state X(1880) is observed with a statistical significance larger than 10σ. The mass and width of X(1880) are determined to be 1882.1±1.7±0.7 MeV/c^{2} and 30.7±5.5±2.4 MeV, respectively, which indicates the existence of a pp[over ¯] bound state.

Abstract
Using e^{+}e^{-} collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 7.33 fb^{-1} recorded by the BESIII detector at center-of-mass energies between 4.128 and 4.226 GeV, we present an analysis of the decay D_{s}^{+}→π^{+}π^{-}e^{+}ν_{e}, where the D_{s}^{+} is produced via the process e^{+}e^{-}→D_{s}^{*±}D_{s}^{∓}. We observe the f_{0}(980) in the π^{+}π^{-} system and the branching fraction of the decay D_{s}^{+}→f_{0}(980)e^{+}ν_{e} with f_{0}(980)→π^{+}π^{-} measured to be (1.72±0.13_{stat}±0.10_{syst})×10^{-3}, where the uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. The dynamics of the D_{s}^{+}→f_{0}(980)e^{+}ν_{e} decay are studied with the simple pole parametrization of the hadronic form factor and the Flatté formula describing the f_{0}(980) in the differential decay rate, and the product of the form factor f_{+}^{f_{0}}(0) and the c→s Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element |V_{cs}| is determined for the first time to be f_{+}^{f_{0}}(0)|V_{cs}|=0.504±0.017_{stat}±0.035_{syst}. Furthermore, the decay D_{s}^{+}→f_{0}(500)e^{+}ν_{e} is searched for the first time but no signal is found. Abstract
We perform for the first time an amplitude analysis of the decay D^{+}→K_{S}^{0}π^{+}η and report the observation of the decay D^{+}→K_{S}^{0}a_{0}(980)^{+} using 2.93 fb^{-1} of e^{+}e^{-} collision data taken at a center-of-mass energy of 3.773 GeV with the BESIII detector. As the only W-annihilation-free decay among D to a_{0}(980) pseudoscalar, D^{+}→K_{S}^{0}a_{0}(980)^{+} is the ideal decay in extracting the contributions of the W-emission amplitudes involving a_{0}(980) and to study the final-state interactions. The absolute branching fraction of D^{+}→K_{S}^{0}π^{+}η is measured to be (1.27±0.04_{stat}±0.03_{syst})%. The branching fractions of intermediate processes D^{+}→K_{S}^{0}a_{0}(980)^{+} with a_{0}(980)^{+}→π^{+}η and D^{+}→π^{+}K[over ¯]_{0}^{*}(1430)^{0} with K[over ¯]_{0}^{*}(1430)^{0}→K_{S}^{0}η are measured to be (1.33±0.05_{stat}±0.04_{syst})% and (0.14±0.03_{stat}±0.01_{syst})%, respectively.

Abstract
Using (10087±44)×10^{6} J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector, numerous Ξ^{-} and Λ decay asymmetry parameters are simultaneously determined from the process J/ψ→Ξ^{-}Ξ[over ¯]^{+}→Λ(pπ^{-})π^{-}Λ[over ¯](n[over ¯]π^{0})π^{+} and its charge-conjugate channel. The precisions of α_{Λ0} for Λ→nπ^{0} and α[over ¯]_{Λ0} for Λ[over ¯]→n[over ¯]π^{0} compared to world averages are improved by factors of 4 and 1.7, respectively. The ratio of decay asymmetry parameters of Λ→nπ^{0} to that of Λ→pπ^{-}, ⟨α_{Λ0}⟩/⟨α_{Λ-}⟩, is determined to be 0.873±0.012_{-0.010}^{+0.011}, where the first and the second uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. The ratio is smaller than unity more than 5σ, which signifies the existence of the ΔI=3/2 transition in Λ for the first time. Besides, we test for CP symmetry in Ξ^{-}→Λπ^{-} and in Λ→nπ^{0} with the best precision to date.

Abstract
By analyzing 7.33 fb^{-1} of e^{+}e^{-} annihilation data collected at center-of-mass energies between 4.128 and 4.226 GeV with the BESIII detector, we report the observation of the semileptonic decay D_{s}^{+}→η^{'}μ^{+}ν_{μ}, with a statistical significance larger than 10σ, and the measurements of the D_{s}^{+}→ημ^{+}ν_{μ} and D_{s}^{+}→η^{'}μ^{+}ν_{μ} decay dynamics for the first time. The branching fractions of D_{s}^{+}→ημ^{+}ν_{μ} and D_{s}^{+}→η^{'}μ^{+}ν_{μ} are determined to be (2.235±0.051_{stat}±0.052_{syst})% and (0.801±0.055_{stat}±0.028_{syst})%, respectively, with precision improved by factors of 6.0 and 6.6 compared to the previous best measurements. Combined with the results for the decays D_{s}^{+}→ηe^{+}ν_{e} and D_{s}^{+}→η^{'}e^{+}ν_{e}, the ratios of the decay widths are examined both inclusively and in several ℓ^{+}ν_{ℓ} four-momentum transfer ranges. No evidence for lepton flavor universality violation is found within the current statistics. The products of the hadronic form factors f_{+,0}^{η^{(')}}(0) and the c→s Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element |V_{cs}| are determined. The results based on the two-parameter series expansion are f_{+,0}^{η}(0)|V_{cs}|=0.452±0.010_{stat}±0.007_{syst} and f_{+,0}^{η^{'}}(0)|V_{cs}|=0.504±0.037_{stat}±0.012_{syst}, which help to constrain present models on f_{+,0}^{η^{(')}}(0). The forward-backward asymmetries are determined to be ⟨A_{FB}^{η}⟩=-0.059±0.031_{stat}±0.005_{syst} and ⟨A_{FB}^{η^{'}}⟩=-0.064±0.079_{stat}±0.006_{syst} for the first time, which are consistent with the theoretical calculation.

Abstract
Based on data samples collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, the process e^{+}e^{-}→Σ^{+}Σ[over ¯]^{-} is studied at center-of-mass energies sqrt[s]=2.3960, 2.6454, and 2.9000 GeV. Using a fully differential angular description of the final state particles, both the relative magnitude and phase information of the Σ^{+} electromagnetic form factors in the timelike region are extracted. The relative phase between the electric and magnetic form factors is determined to be sinΔΦ=-0.67±0.29(stat)±0.18(syst) at sqrt[s]=2.3960 GeV, ΔΦ=55°±19°(stat)±14°(syst) at sqrt[s]=2.6454 GeV, and 78°±22°(stat)±9°(syst) at sqrt[s]=2.9000 GeV. For the first time, the phase of the hyperon electromagnetic form factors is explored in a wide range of four-momentum transfer. The evolution of the phase along with four-momentum transfer is an important input for understanding its asymptotic behavior and the dynamics of baryons.

Abstract
Based on 4.4 fb^{-1} of e^{+}e^{-} annihilation data collected at the center-of-mass energies between 4.60 and 4.70 GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, the pure W-boson-exchange decay Λ_{c}^{+}→Ξ^{0}K^{+} is studied with a full angular analysis. The corresponding decay asymmetry is measured for the first time to be α_{Ξ^{0}K^{+}}=0.01±0.16(stat)±0.03(syst). This result reflects the noninterference effect between the S- and P-wave amplitudes. The phase shift between S- and P-wave amplitudes has two solutions, which are δ_{p}-δ_{s}=-1.55±0.25(stat)±0.05(syst) rad or 1.59±0.25(stat)±0.05(syst) rad.

Abstract
The quantum entangled J/ψ→Σ^{+}Σ[over ¯]^{-} pairs from (1.0087±0.0044)×10^{10} J/ψ events taken by the BESIII detector are used to study the nonleptonic two-body weak decays Σ^{+}→nπ^{+} and Σ[over ¯]^{-}→n[over ¯]π^{-}. The CP-odd weak decay parameters of the decays Σ^{+}→nπ^{+} (α_{+}) and Σ[over ¯]^{-}→n[over ¯]π^{-} (α[over ¯]_{-}) are determined to be 0.0481±0.0031_{stat}±0.0019_{syst} and -0.0565±0.0047_{stat}±0.0022_{syst}, respectively. The decay parameter α[over ¯]_{-} is measured for the first time, and the accuracy of α_{+} is improved by a factor of 4 compared to the previous results. The simultaneously determined decay parameters allow the first precision CP symmetry test for any hyperon decay with a neutron in the final state with the measurement of A_{CP}=(α_{+}+α[over ¯]_{-})/(α_{+}-α[over ¯]_{-})=-0.080±0.052_{stat}±0.028_{syst}. Assuming CP conservation, the average decay parameter is determined as ⟨α_{+}⟩=(α_{+}-α[over ¯]_{-})/2=-0.0506±0.0026_{stat}±0.0019_{syst}, while the ratios α_{+}/α_{0} and α[over ¯]_{-}/α[over ¯]_{0} are -0.0490±0.0032_{stat}±0.0021_{syst} and -0.0571±0.0053_{stat}±0.0032_{syst}, where α_{0} and α[over ¯]_{0} are the decay parameters of the decays Σ^{+}→pπ^{0} and Σ[over ¯]^{-}→p[over ¯]π^{0}, respectively.

Abstract
We study the process e^{+}e^{-}→Λ_{c}^{+}Λ[over ¯]_{c}^{-} at twelve center-of-mass energies from 4.6119 to 4.9509 GeV using data samples collected by the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. The Born cross sections and effective form factors (|G_{eff}|) are determined with unprecedented precision after combining the single and double-tag methods based on the decay process Λ_{c}^{+}→pK^{-}π^{+}. Flat cross sections around 4.63 GeV are obtained and no indication of the resonant structure Y(4630), as reported by Belle, is found. In addition, no oscillatory behavior is discerned in the |G_{eff}| energy dependence of Λ_{c}^{+}, in contrast to what is seen for the proton and neutron cases. Analyzing the cross section together with the polar-angle distribution of the Λ_{c}^{+} baryon at each energy point, the moduli of electric and magnetic form factors (|G_{E}| and |G_{M}|) are extracted and separated. For the first time, the energy dependence of the form factor ratio |G_{E}/G_{M}| is observed, which can be well described by an oscillatory function.

Abstract
A narrow structure in the pΛ[over ¯] system near the mass threshold, named as X(2085), is observed in the process e^{+}e^{-}→pK^{-}Λ[over ¯] with a statistical significance greater than 20σ. Its spin and parity are determined for the first time to be J^{P}=1^{+} in an amplitude analysis, with a statistical significance greater than 5σ over other quantum numbers (0^{-},1^{-} and 2^{+}). The pole positions of X(2085) are measured to be M_{pole}=(2084_{-2}^{+4}±9) MeV and Γ_{pole}=(58_{-3}^{+4}±25) MeV, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second ones are systematic. The analysis is based on the study of the process e^{+}e^{-}→pK^{-}Λ[over ¯] and uses the data samples collected with the BESIII detector at the center-of-mass energies sqrt[s]=4.008, 4.178, 4.226, 4.258, 4.416, and 4.682 GeV with a total integrated luminosity of 8.35 fb^{-1}.

Abstract
The process e^{+}e^{-}→D_{s}^{*+}D_{s}^{*-} is studied with a semi-inclusive method using data samples at center-of-mass energies from threshold to 4.95 GeV collected with the BESIII detector operating at the Beijing Electron Positron Collider. The Born cross sections of the process are measured for the first time with high precision in this energy region. Two resonance structures are observed in the energy-dependent cross sections around 4.2 and 4.4 GeV. By fitting the cross sections with a coherent sum of three Breit-Wigner amplitudes and one phase-space amplitude, the two significant structures are assigned masses of (4186.8±8.7±30) and (4414.6±3.4±6.1) MeV/c^{2}, widths of (55±15±53) and (122.5±7.5±8.1) MeV, where the first errors are statistical and the second ones are systematic. The inclusion of a third Breit-Wigner amplitude is necessary to describe a structure around 4.79 GeV.

Abstract
Using 7.33 fb^{-1} of e^{+}e^{-} collision data taken with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, we report the first experimental study of the purely leptonic decay D_{s}^{*+}→e^{+}ν_{e}. Our data contain a signal of this decay with a statistical significance of 2.9σ. The branching fraction of D_{s}^{*+}→e^{+}ν_{e} is measured to be (2.1_{-0.9_{stat}}^{+1.2}±0.2_{syst})×10^{-5}, corresponding to an upper limit of 4.0×10^{-5} at the 90% confidence level. Taking the total width of the D_{s}^{*+} [(0.070±0.028) keV] predicted with the radiative D_{s}^{*+} decay from the lattice QCD calculation as input, the decay constant of the D_{s}^{*+} is determined to be f_{D_{s}^{*+}}=(214_{-46_{stat}}^{+61}±44_{syst}) MeV, corresponding to an upper limit of 354 MeV at the 90% confidence level.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the clinical characteristics and risk factors of critical burn patients complicated with invasive fungal infection. Methods: A retrospective case series study was conducted. From January 2017 to December 2022, 88 critical burn patients combined with invasive fungal infection who met the inclusion criteria were admitted to Zhengzhou First People's Hospital, including 61 males and 27 females, aged 26-74 years. Data on invasive fungal infection sites and the detection of pathogens in patients were recorded. According to the survival outcome within 28 days after admission, the patients were divided into survival group (63 cases) and death group (25 cases). The following data of patients were compared between the two groups, including the basic data and injuries of patients at admission such as age, sex, body weight, total burn area, combination of inhalation injury, combination of hypertension and diabetes, acute physiology and chronic health status evaluation Ⅱ (APACHE Ⅱ) score, and admission time after burns, the levels of blood biochemical indexes within 24 h after admission such as white blood cell count, platelet count, red blood cell count, monocyte count, neutrophil count, lymphocyte count, alanine transaminase, aspartate transaminase, glucose, creatinine, urea nitrogen, D-dimer, galactomannan (GM), 1,3-β-D glucan, and creatine kinase, the application of invasive procedures and vasoactive drugs during the treatment such as continuous renal replacement therapy, ventilator-assisted breathing, tracheotomy, deep vein catheterization, skin grafting >2 times, the levels of infection indicators on post admission day (PAD) 1, 3, 7, and 14 including C-reactive protein (CRP), procalcitonin, lactic acid, interleukin-6 (IL-6), and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), and the detection of pathogens in the process of treatment. Data were statistically analyzed with independent sample t test, analysis of variance for repeated measurement, chi-square test, Mann-Whitney U test, and Bonferroni correction. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was performed to screen the independent risk factors that affected death of critical burn patients complicated with invasive fungal infection. Results: The main sites of invasive fungal infection were the wounds (67 cases) and blood stream (46 cases), with Candida fungi (58 strains) as the main strain for fungi infection, and there were a total of 30 cases of infection with mixed pathogenic bacteria. Compared with those in survival group, the APACHE Ⅱ score, proportions of combination with inhalation injury and hypertension of patients in death group were significantly increased (t=2.11, with χ2 values of 6.26 and 9.48, respectively, P<0.05), while the other basic data and injury condition had no significant changes (P>0.05). Compared with those in survival group, the levels of D-dimer, GM, and 1,3-β-D glucan of patients in death group were significantly increased within 24 h after admission (with t values of 2.42, 2.05, and 2.21, respectively, P<0.05), while the other blood biochemical indexes within 24 h after admission, as well as the proportions of applying invasive procedures and application of vasoactive drugs during the treatment process were not significantly changed (P>0.05). The levels of infection indicators of patients on PAD 1 and 3 were similar between the two groups (P>0.05). The procalcitonin level on PAD 7 and the levels of CRP, procalcitonin, lactic acid, IL-6, and TNF-α on PAD 14, as well as the proportion of infection with mixed pathogenic bacteria of patients in death group were significantly higher than those in survival group (with t values of 4.69, 3.89, 6.70, 6.14, 4.65, and 3.26, respectively, χ2=12.67, P<0.05). Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that combination with inhalation injury, combination with hypertension, and infection with mixed pathogenic bacteria were independent risk factors for death of critical burn patients complicated with invasive fungal infection (with odds ratios of 5.98, 4.67, and 6.19, respectively, 95% confidence intervals of 1.42-15.39, 1.41-25.28, and 1.86-20.58, respectively, P<0.05). Conclusions: The main sites of infection in critical burn patients complicated with invasive fungal infection are the wounds and blood stream, with Candida fungi as the main strain for fungi infection, and a large proportion of infection with mixed pathogenic bacteria. The combined inhalation injury, combined hypertension, and infection with mixed pathogenic bacteria are the independent risk factors for the death of those patients.

First Study of Reaction Ξ^{0}n→Ξ^{-}p Using Ξ^{0}-Nucleus Scattering at an Electron-Positron Collider. PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2023; 130:251902. Abstract
Using (1.0087±0.0044)×10^{10} J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII storage ring, the process Ξ^{0}n→Ξ^{-}p is studied, where the Ξ^{0} baryon is produced in the process J/ψ→Ξ^{0}Ξ[over ¯]^{0} and the neutron is a component of the ^{9}Be, ^{12}C, and ^{197}Au nuclei in the beam pipe. A clear signal is observed with a statistical significance of 7.1σ. The cross section of the reaction Ξ^{0}+^{9}Be→Ξ^{-}+p+^{8}Be is determined to be σ(Ξ^{0}+^{9}Be→Ξ^{-}+p+^{8}Be)=(22.1±5.3_{stat}±4.5_{sys}) mb at the Ξ^{0} momentum of 0.818 GeV/c, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. No significant H-dibaryon signal is observed in the Ξ^{-}p final state. This is the first study of hyperon-nucleon interactions in electron-positron collisions and opens up a new direction for such research.

Abstract
Based on electron positron collision data collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII storage rings, the differential cross sections of inclusive π^{0} and K_{S}^{0} production as a function of hadron momentum, normalized by the total cross section of the e^{+}e^{-}→hadrons process, are measured at six center-of-mass energies from 2.2324 to 3.6710 GeV. Our results, which cover a relative hadron energy range from 0.1 to 0.9, significantly deviate from several theoretical calculations based on existing fragmentation functions.

Abstract
Using (10 087±44)×10^{6} J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector, the radiative hyperon decay Σ^{+}→pγ is studied at an electron-positron collider experiment for the first time. The absolute branching fraction is measured to be (0.996±0.021_{stat}±0.018_{syst})×10^{-3}, which is lower than its world average value by 4.2 standard deviations. Its decay asymmetry parameter is determined to be -0.652±0.056_{stat}±0.020_{syst}. The branching fraction and decay asymmetry parameter are the most precise to date, and the accuracies are improved by 78% and 34%, respectively.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the effect of different gestational weeks and psychological intervention on pregnancy outcome in patients with monochorionic twin pregnancy. Methods: The clinical data of 68 patients with monochorionic twin pregnancy in the middle and late pregnancy who were treated with radiofrequency ablation in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from March 2017 to April 2021 were retrospectively analyzed, including 54 patients with single chorionic and single amniotic sac and 14 patients with single chorionic and double amniotic sac. Patients were divided into three groups according to the gestational weeks:<20 weeks (n=36), 20-23 weeks (n=17) and ≥24 weeks (n=15); and were divided into intervention group (n=40) and control group (n=28) according to the preoperative psychological intervention. The pregnancy outcome of patients with different pregnancy reduction and the effect of psychological intervention on pregnancy outcome was analyzed. Results: The age of 68 patients was (30.2±4.6) years old, the gestational age was (22.2±3.2) weeks, and 60 cases (88.2%) were live births after fetal reduction. There were no significant difference in age [(31.8±4.7),(28.3±5.0),(30.3±4.0) years old] (P=0.098), abortion rate, preterm birth rate, live birth rate, delivery mode, gestational week of preterm birth, gestational week of delivery, and neonatal weight between the two groups at different gestational weeks (all P>0.05). The ages of the intervention group and the control group were (30.6±4.7) and (29.4±4.0) years old (P=0.352). After psychological intervention for 40 patients in the intervention group, the anxiety score after pregnancy reduction was reduced from (54.8±6.8) to (37.3±7.3) (P<0.001), while the depression score decreased from (62.7±7.2) to (33.2±2.4) (P<0.001). Compared with patients in the control group (12.5%, n=5), the proportion of postoperative discomfort in the intervention group was higher (53.6%, n=15) (P<0.001). Compared with the control group, there were no statistically significant difference in the postoperative preterm birth rate, abortion rate, live birth rate, delivery mode, gestational week of preterm birth, gestational week of delivery, and neonatal weight in the intervention group (all P>0.05). Conclusions: Radiofrequency ablation is a safe and effective minimally invasive technique. For complex monochorionic twin pregnancies, early fetal reduction (<20 weeks) and preoperative psychological intervention can provide a solid guarantee for a good postoperative pregnancy outcome.

Abstract
We present the first measurements of the electric and magnetic form factors of the neutron in the timelike (positive q^{2}) region as function of four-momentum transfer. We explored the differential cross sections of the reaction e^{+}e^{-}→n[over ¯]n with data collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII accelerator, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 354.6 pb^{-1} in total at twelve center-of-mass energies between sqrt[s]=2.0-2.95 GeV. A relative uncertainty of 18% and 12% for the electric and magnetic form factors, respectively, is achieved at sqrt[s]=2.3935 GeV. Our results are comparable in accuracy to those from electron scattering in the comparable spacelike region of four-momentum transfer. The electromagnetic form factor ratio R_{em}≡|G_{E}|/|G_{M}| is within the uncertainties close to unity. We compare our result on |G_{E}| and |G_{M}| to recent model predictions, and the measurements in the spacelike region to test the analyticity of electromagnetic form factors.

Abstract
Using 4.7 fb^{-1} of e^{+}e^{-} collision data at center-of-mass energies from 4.661 to 4.951 GeV collected by the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, we observe the X(3872) production process e^{+}e^{-}→ωX(3872) for the first time. The significance is 7.8σ, including both the statistical and systematic uncertainties. The e^{+}e^{-}→ωX(3872) Born cross section and the corresponding upper limit at 90% confidence level at each energy point are reported. The line shape of the cross section indicates that the ωX(3872) signals may be from the decays of some nontrivial structures.

Abstract
The Born cross sections of the process e^{+}e^{-}→D^{*0}D^{*-}π^{+} at center-of-mass energies from 4.189 to 4.951 GeV are measured for the first time. The data samples used correspond to an integrated luminosity of 17.9 fb^{-1} and were collected by the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII storage ring. Three enhancements around 4.20, 4.47, and 4.67 GeV are visible. The resonances have masses of 4209.6±4.7±5.9 MeV/c^{2}, 4469.1±26.2±3.6 MeV/c^{2}, and 4675.3±29.5±3.5 MeV/c^{2} and widths of 81.6±17.8±9.0 MeV, 246.3±36.7±9.4 MeV, and 218.3±72.9±9.3 MeV, respectively, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic. The first and third resonances are consistent with the ψ(4230) and ψ(4660) states, respectively, while the second one is compatible with the ψ(4500) observed in the e^{+}e^{-}→K^{+}K^{-}J/ψ process. These three charmoniumlike ψ states are observed in the e^{+}e^{-}→D^{*0}D^{*-}π^{+} process for the first time.

Abstract
Diabetic wounds are a common complication of diabetic patients, and the incidence has been increasing in recent years. In addition, its poor clinical prognosis seriously affects the quality of life of patients, which has become the focus and difficulty of diabetes treatment. As the RNA regulating gene expression, non-coding RNA can regulate the pathophysiological process of diseases, and play an important role in the healing process of diabetic wounds. In this paper, we reviewed the regulatory role, diagnostic value, and therapeutic potential of three common non-coding RNA in diabetic wounds, in order to provide a new solution for the diagnosis and treatment of diabetic wounds at the genetic and molecular level.

Abstract
The report is about a 49-year-old man with rheumatic heart disease and atrial fibrillation. He underwent mitral valve replacement, tricuspid valvuloplasty, and atrial fibrillation radiofrequency ablation in the hospital. He vomited blood on the 2nd postoperative day, and the bleeding gradually worsened thereafter. He had to have repeated drainage of large amounts of blood from his right thoracic cavity and digestive tract. He died suddenly after undergoing an oesophageal endoscopy on the 24th postoperative day. The autopsy revealed an atrial-oesophageal-thoracic fistula. By excluding the possibility of the fistula being caused by complications from nasoenteric feeding, tracheal intubation, and a foreign body ingestion, we determined that the atrial-oesophageal-thoracic fistula was a complication after radiofrequency ablation according to the finding of coagulation necrosis of the myocardial cells at the left atrium fistula. In addition, we also performed an elemental analysis on the radiofrequency ablation area and other cardiac tissues by scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive spectroscopy (SEM-EDS) and found five metal elements, Cr, Cu, Zn, Mn, and Ti, which specifically existed in the radiofrequency ablation area. This finding has the potential to serve as new evidence for radiofrequency ablation and is a worthy direction of research.

Abstract
The understanding of the engrafted cell behaviors such as the survival, growth and distribution is the prerequisite to optimize cell therapy, and a multimodal imaging at both anatomical and molecular levels is designed to achieve this goal. We constructed a lentiviral vector carrying genes of ferritin heavy chain 1 (FTH1), near-infrared fluorescent protein (iRFP) and enhanced green fluorescent protein (egfp), and established the induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) culture stably expressing these three reporter genes. These iPSCs showed green and near-infrared fluorescence as well as the iron uptake capacity in vitro. After transplanted the labeled iPSCs into the rat brain, the engrafted cells could be in vivo imaged using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and near-infrared fluorescent imaging (NIF) up to 60 days at the anatomical level. Moreover, these cells could be detected using EGFP immunostaining and Prussian blue stain at the cellular level. The developed approach provides a novel tool to study behaviors of the transplanted cells in a multi-modal way, which will be valuable for the effectiveness and safety evaluation of cell therapy.

Sudapyridine (WX-081), a Novel Compound against Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Microbiol Spectr 2022; 10:e0247721. Abstract
Bedaquiline (BDQ) was historically listed by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2018 as the preferred option for rifampin-resistant tuberculosis (RR-TB) and multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB). However, when there is no other effective regimen, the side effects and weaknesses of BDQ limit its use of MDR-TB. There is a black box warning in the package insert of BDQ to warn patients and health care professionals that this drug may increase the risk of unexplained mortality and QT prolongation, which may lead to abnormal and potentially fatal cardiac rhythm. In addition, the phenomenon of elevated liver enzymes in clinical trials of BDQ is a potential sign of hepatotoxicity. Therefore, it is still a medical need to develop new compounds with better safety profiles, patient compliance, affordability, and the ability to retain the efficacy of BDQ. After extensive lead generation and optimization, a new analog, sudapyridine (WX-081), was selected as a potential new antituberculosis candidate to move into clinical trials. Here, we evaluated WX-081's overall preclinical profile, including efficacy, pharmacokinetics, and toxicology. The in vitro activity of WX-081 against drug-sensitive and drug-resistant tuberculosis was comparable to that of BDQ, and there was comparable efficacy between WX-081 and BDQ in both acute and chronic mouse tuberculosis models using low-dose aerosol infection. Moreover, WX-081 improved pharmacokinetic parameters and, more importantly, had no adverse effects on blood pressure, heart rate, or qualitative ECG parameters from nonclinical toxicology studies. WX-081 is under investigation in a phase 2 study in patients. IMPORTANCE This study is aimed at chemotherapy for multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB), mainly to develop new anti-TB drugs to kill Mycobacterium tuberculosis, a microorganism with strong drug resistance. In this study, the structure of a potent antituberculosis compound, bedaquiline (BDQ), was optimized to generate a new compound, sudapyridine (WX-081). This experiment showed that its efficacy was similar to that of BDQ, its cardiotoxicity was lower, and it had good kinetic characteristics. This compound will certainly achieve significant results in the control and treatment of tuberculosis in the future.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the value of cerebral hypoxic-ischemic injury markers in the early diagnosis of sepsis associated encephalopathy (SAE) in burn patients with sepsis. Methods: A retrospective case series study was conducted. From October 2018 to May 2021, 41 burn patients with sepsis who were admitted to Zhengzhou First People's Hospital met the inclusion criteria, including 23 males and 18 females, aged 18-65 (35±3) years. According to whether SAE occurred during hospitalization, the patients were divided into SAE group (21 cases) and non-SAE group (20 cases). The gender, age, deep partial-thickness burn area, full-thickness burn area, and acute physiology and chronic health evaluation Ⅱ (APACHE Ⅱ) scores of patients were compared between the two groups. The serum levels of central nervous system specific protein S100β and neuron specific enolase (NSE) at 12, 24, and 48 h after sepsis diagnosis (hereinafter referred to as after diagnosis), the serum levels of interleukin-6 (IL-6), IL-10, tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α), Tau protein, adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH), and cortisol at 12, 24, 48, 72, 120, and 168 h after diagnosis, and the mean blood flow velocity of middle cerebral artery (VmMCA), pulsatility index, and cerebral blood flow index (CBFi) on 1, 3, and 7 d after diagnosis of patients in the two groups were counted. Data were statistically analyzed with chi-square test, analysis of variance for repeated measurement, independent sample t test, and Bonferroni correction. The independent variables to predict the occurrence of SAE was screened by multi-factor logistic regression analysis. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was drawn for predicting the occurrence of SAE in burn patients with sepsis, and the area under the curve (AUC), the best threshold, and the sensitivity and specificity under the best threshold were calculated. Results: The gender, age, deep partial-thickness burn area, full-thickness burn area, and APACHE Ⅱ score of patients in the two groups were all similar (χ2=0.02, with t values of 0.71, 1.59, 0.91, and 1.07, respectively, P>0.05). At 12, 24, and 48 h after diagnosis, the serum levels of S100β and NSE of patients in SAE group were all significantly higher than those in non-SAE group (with t values of 37.74, 77.84, 44.16, 22.51, 38.76, and 29.31, respectively, P<0.01). At 12, 24, 48, 72, 120, and 168 h after diagnosis, the serum levels of IL-10, Tau protein, and ACTH of patients in SAE group were all significantly higher than those in non-SAE group (with t values of 10.68, 13.50, 10.59, 8.09, 7.17, 4.71, 5.51, 3.20, 3.61, 3.58, 3.28, 4.21, 5.91, 5.66, 4.98, 4.69, 4.78, and 2.97, respectively, P<0.01). [Cost-effectiveness of anti-tumor associated antigen autoantibody screening for hepatocellular carcinoma in the population with chronic hepatitis B-related cirrhosis]. ZHONGHUA YI XUE ZA ZHI 2021; 101:2544-2551. [PMID: 34407581 DOI: 10.3760/cma.j.cn112137-20201229-03502] [Citation(s) in RCA: 0] [Impact Index Per Article: 0] [Reference Citation Analysis] [Abstract] [Subscribe] [Scholar Register] [Indexed: 11/05/2022]
Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the cost-effectiveness of anti-tumor associated antigen autoantibody (TAAb) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) screening in cirrhosis population with chronic hepatitis B (CHB). Methods: A simulated cohort of 40-year-old patients with CHB cirrhosis was established with a sample size of 10 000. Using TAAb screening alone or TAAb and AFP screening in parallel (TAAb + AFP) as the research strategy, and liver ultrasound and AFP screening in parallel (liver ultrasound + AFP) as the control strategy, the decision analysis Markov model was constructed and the model validity was evaluated. The 6-month cycle was simulated using TreeAge Pro 2020 software. Cost and quality-adjusted life years (QALY) were calculated. Incremental cost-effectiveness ratio (ICER) was used to compare the two strategies, and sensitivity analysis was used to evaluate the uncertainty of results. Results: The Markov model had a total of 11 outcomes, of which 7 were natural outcomes and 4 wereclinical intervention outcomes, and the goodness of fit was 0.969. The lifetime screening cost of TAAb+AFP strategy for HCC screening was 249 612 yuan/case, and the QALY per capita was 7.704 years. Compared with liver ultrasound +AFP strategy (247 805 yuan/case), the total health cost increased by 1 807 yuan/case, and the QALY obtained was 0.014. The ICER was 127 635 yuan /QALY. When the TAAb screening fee was higher than 889.552 yuan, or the discount rate was higher than 0.068, or the antiviral treatment compliance was lower than 45.1%, ICER > 212 676 yuan /QALY. When the single TAAb screening fee was 400-600 yuan, the TAAB+AFP strategy had cost effective value. When the willingness to pay was 70 892, 141 784 and 212 676 yuan /QALY, the probability of cost-effectiveness of TAAb+AFP strategy was 70.6%, 75.3% and 77.8%, respectively. Conclusion: It is cost-effective to use TAAb+AFP for early screening of liver cancer in Chinese population with CHB cirrhosis.

Abstract
A solid state terahertz interferometer has been developed on the recent commissioned HL-2M tokamak. It can work in a wide frequency region of 220-325 GHz, and the terahertz wave is generated from a low frequency phase locked voltage controlled oscillator with the frequency multiplying technique. A phase processor based on field programmable gate array (FPGA) technology is designed for the heterodyne interferometer, and it contributes to real-time display of electron density. To extract phase information, a novel numerical algorithm related to fast Fourier transform is written on the FPGA chip and enables one to obtain phase shift without being affected by amplitude variation induced by plasma absorption or frequency modulation from the outer electromagnetic environment. The interferometer achieves minimum measurable electron density in the order of 1016 m-3. With the plasma diagnosis, electron density and low frequency tearing mode have been measured during the first experimental campaign.

Background
Sustained atrial high-rate episodes (SAHRE), which are considered ‘subclinical atrial fibrillation’ (AF), increase the risk of adverse outcomes in patients with a cardiac implantable electronic device (CIED). Risk stratification for the development of SAHREs has never been investigated.
Purpose
To assess test the performance of the C2HEST score (coronary artery disease or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease [1 point each]; hypertension [1 point]; elderly [age ≥75 years, 2 points]; systolic heart failure [2 points]; thyroid disease [1 point]) in predicting SAHRE in patients implanted with CIED without AF.
Methods
Retrospective study including 500 consecutive patients implanted with CIEDs in the West Birmingham in the UK. Patients were followed after implantation to record the development of SAHRE lasting >24h. Risk factors and incidence of SAHRE were analyzed. The predictive value of the C2HEST score for SAHRE prediction was evaluated.
Results
During 53.1 months of follow-up, 44 (8.8%) patients developed SAHRE. SAHRE was associated with higher all-cause mortality (P < 0.001) and ischemic stroke (P = 0.001). Age and heart failure were associated with SAHRE occurrence. The incidence of SAHRE increased by the C2HEST score (39% higher risk per point increase)(table). Among those with C2HEST score ≥4, the incidence of SAHRE was 3.62%/year (95%CI 2.14-5.16). The C2HEST score had a moderate predictive capability (area under the curve 0.73 [95%CI 0.64-0.81]) and discriminative ability (log-rank P = 0.003), which was better than other clinical scores (CHA2DS2-VASc, CHADS2, HATCH).
Conclusions
The C2HEST score predicted SAHRE incidence in non-AF subjects with CIED, with the highest risk seen in patients with C2HEST score ≥4 The benefit of using the C2HEST score in clinical practice in this patient population needs further investigation. Patient pathway analysis of tuberculosis diagnostic delay: a multicentre retrospective cohort study in China. Clin Microbiol Infect 2021; 27:1000-1006. [PMID: 33421578 DOI: 10.1016/j.cmi.2020.12.031] [Citation(s) in RCA: 1] [Impact Index Per Article: 0.3] [Reference Citation Analysis] [Abstract] [Key Words] [Track Full Text] [Journal Information] [Subscribe] [Scholar Register] [Received: 08/25/2020] [Revised: 12/13/2020] [Accepted: 12/23/2020] [Indexed: 10/22/2022]
Abstract
OBJECTIVES Delay in diagnosis of tuberculosis (TB) is an important but under-appreciated problem. Our study aimed to analyse the patient pathway and possible risk factors of long diagnostic delay (LDD). METHODS We enrolled 400 new bacteriologically diagnosed patients with pulmonary TB from 20 hospitals across China. LDD was defined as an interval between the initial care visit and the confirmation of diagnosis exceeding 14 days. Its potential risk factors were investigated by multivariate logistic regression and multilevel logistic regression. Hospitals in China were classified by increasing size, from level 0 to level 3. TB laboratory equipment in hospitals was also evaluated. RESULTS The median diagnostic delay was 20 days (IQR: 7-72 days), and 229 of 400 patients (57.3%, 95%CI 52.4-62.1) had LDD; 15% of participants were diagnosed at the initial care visit. Compared to level 0 facilities, choosing level 2 (OR 0.27, 95%CI 0.12-0.62, p 0.002) and level 3 facilities (OR 0.34, 95%CI 0.14-0.84, p 0.019) for the initial care visit was independently associated with shorter LDD. Equipping with smear, culture, and Xpert at initial care visit simultaneously also helped to avoid LDD (OR 0.28, 95%CI 0.09-0.82, p 0.020). The multilevel logistic regression yielded similar results. Availability of smear, culture, and Xpert was lower in level 0-1 facilities than in level 2-3 facilities (p < 0.001, respectively). CONCLUSIONS Most patients failed to be diagnosed at the initial care visit. Patients who went to low-level facilities initially had a higher risk of LDD. Improvement of TB laboratory equipment, especially at low-level facilities, is urgently needed.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the contagiousness and secondary attack rate of 2019 novel coronavirus in cluster epidemics in Guangzhou and provide evidence for the prevention and control of COVID-19. Methods: All the individuals identified to be infected with 2019-nCoV in Guangzhou, including confirmed cases and asymptomatic cases, were included and classified as imported cases and local cases. The first case of each cluster epidemic was defined as index case, and the number of subsequent infections was calculated to evaluate the contagiousness and secondary attack rate of 2019 novel coronavirus in the shortest incubation period of 1-3 days. Results: As of 18 February, 2020, a total of 349 cases of 2019-nCoV infection, including 339 confirmed cases (97.13%) and 10 asymptomatic cases (2.87%) were reported in Guangzhou. There were 68 clusters involving 217 2019-nCoV infection cases (210 confirmed cases and 7 asymptomatic cases). The median number of subsequent infections caused by an index case in a cluster epidemic was 3, among which 2 were confirmed cases and 1 was asymptomatic cases, respectively. The average number of contagiousness was 2.18 in shorted incubation period of 1-3 days (The average number of infected cases were 2.18 cases by the index case in a cluster epidemic), the average infection number in family members was 1.86, and the infection ratio of family member transmission was 85.32% (1.86/2.18). The secondary attack rate in close contacts with shortest incubation period of 1-3 days was 17.12%-18.99%, the secondary attack rate in family members was 46.11%-49.56%. Conclusions: The cluster epidemic of COVID-19 in Guangzhou mainly occurred in families, the contagiousness was high. It is necessary to strengthen the prevention and control to reduce the community transmission of COVID-19.

Abstract
Objective: We aimed to explore the feasibility and perioperative safety of performing catheter ablation and left atrial appendage closure (LAAC) in a single (one-stop) session in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF). Methods: This study is an observational study. Consecutive AF patients who underwent the combined procedure of catheter ablation and LAAC with Watchman device of Xinhua Hospital in Shanghai between March 2017 and May 2019 were prospectively enrolled. Baseline, intra-and peri-procedural parameters were evaluated. Results: A total of 358 AF patients (189 males, (69.0±8.0) years) underwent the one-stop procedure. The CHA2DS2-VASc score was 3.2±1.5 and HAS-BLED score was 2.4±1.1, respectively in this patient cohort. Pulmonary vein isolation was achieved in all patients, while additional linear ablation was applied in 180 (50.3%) patients, yielding immediate success rate of 99.7%. Successful Watchman implantation was achieved in all patients. The perioperative serious adverse event occurred in 14 cases (3.9%). including 6 pericardial effusions (1.7%), 1 stroke (0.3%) and 5 vascular complications (1.4%), yielding procedure-related complication rate of 3.4%. In addition, 2 (0.6%) new-onset heart failures occurred postoperatively. There was no major bleeding or death during the perioperative period. Conclusions: Combined catheter ablation and LAAC can be successfully and safely performed in AF patients with high stroke risk. Follow-up data are needed to evaluate the outcome of this one-stop procedure.

Abstract
On March 14, 2017, a thirty years old male severe burn patient accompanied by asphyxia, sudden cardiac arrest, and acute respiratory distress syndrome was admitted to Zhengzhou First People's Hospital. During the shock stage, the pulse contour cardiac output was monitored for the restrictive rehydration, tracheotomy was performed, and fibrobronchoscope lavage was performed for the treatment of inhalation injury and pulmonary infection. An alternate application of suspended bed and turning bed was conducted to balance the treatment of cerebral edema and pulmonary infection; targeted antibiotics were used for anti-infective treatment; multiple operations were performed for eschar excision and skin grafting. At last, the wounds were all healed, the lung infection was cured, and the patient was discharged with severe disturbance of consciousness. Asphyxia and acute respiratory distress syndrome post-cardiopulmonary resuscitation are serious complications in severe burn patients. The clinical treatment of such patients is very difficult and should be highly alerted.

Identification of a novel fusion gene, TRIM52-RACK1, in oral squamous cell carcinoma. Mol Cell Probes 2020; 52:101568. Abstract
Gene fusion is caused by the linkage of previously separate genes or sequences. Recently, an increasing number of novel fusion genes have been identified and associated with tumor progression, and several of them have been suggested as promising targets for tumor therapy. However, there are hardly any studies reporting the association of fusion genes with the progression of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). In this study, we identified a total of 11 fused genes in OSCC cells. We further analyzed the structure of one fused gene, TRIM52-RACK1, and detected its function in tumor progression in vitro. We found that TRIM52-RACK1 was caused by a deletion of 181,257,187-181,247,386 at 5q35.3 and it promoted OSCC cell proliferation, migration, and invasion. Therefore, TRIM52-RACK1 can be a promising target for tumor therapy in OSCC.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Escherichia coli are mostly commensals but also contain pathogenic lineages. It is largely unclear whether the commensal E. coli as the potential origins of pathogenic lineages may consist of monophyletic or polyphyletic populations, elucidation of which is expected to lead to novel insights into the associations of E. coli diversity with human health and diseases. METHODS Using genomic sequencing and pulsed field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) techniques, we analyzed E. coli from the intestinal microbiota of three groups of healthy individuals, including preschool children, university students, and seniors of a longevity village, as well as colorectal cancer (CRC) patients, to probe the commensal E. coli populations for their diversity. RESULTS We delineated the 2280 fresh E. coli isolates from 185 subjects into distinct genome types (genotypes) by PFGE. The genomic diversity of the sampled E. coli populations was so high that a given subject may have multiple genotypes of E. coli, with the general diversity within a host going up from preschool children through university students to seniors. Compared to the healthy subjects, the CRC patients had the lowest diversity level among their E. coli isolates. Notably, E. coli isolates from CRC patients could suppress the growth of E. coli bacteria isolated from healthy controls under nutrient-limited culture conditions. CONCLUSIONS The coexistence of multiple E. coli lineages in a host may help create and maintain a microbial environment that is beneficial to the host. As such, the low diversity of E. coli bacteria may be associated with unhealthy microenvironment in the intestine and hence facilitate the pathogenesis of diseases such as CRC.

Population Structure and Genetic Diversity of Fungi Causing Rice Seedling Blight in Northeast China Based on Microsatellite Markers. PLANT DISEASE 2020; 104:868-874. Abstract
Rice seedling blight, which is caused by diverse pathogenic microorganisms, occurs worldwide and is the most important seedling disease affecting rice production in Northeast China. To further characterize the population structure and genetic diversity of the fungi responsible for rice seedling blight in Northeast China, 225 fungal strains were isolated from diseased rice seedlings collected from various rice-producing areas. The isolated strains included Fusarium oxysporum (48.0%), F. verticillioides (11.6%), F. tricinctum (8.0%), F. redolens (6.7%), F. equiseti (6.2%), F. solani (6.2%), Rhizoctonia solani (6.7%), Alternaria alternata (4.0%), and Curvularia coatesiae (2.7%). F. oxysporum was the dominant fungal species causing rice seedling blight, with most isolates exhibiting moderate pathogenicity. Moreover, to our knowledge, this is the first study to identify A. alternata and C. coatesiae as causal agents of rice seedling blight in Northeast China. None of the F. oxysporum isolates were sensitive to 10 μg/ml of carbendazim, implying that carbendazim is ineffective for controlling rice seedling blight in Northeast China. The F. oxysporum isolates were divided into nine groups based on a simple sequence repeat analysis involving 14 primer pairs. In addition, an analysis of molecular variance revealed a significant correlation between the F. oxysporum population and geographical location, which had a significant effect on the differentiation of the dominant isolate population. The results of this study provide insights into the genetic diversity of F. oxysporum strains causing rice seedling blight and may be useful for selecting isolates to screen for disease-resistant rice varieties, evaluating fungicide efficacy, and developing effective disease management strategies.

Abstract
We previously reported the presence of vasculogenic mimicry (VM) in human osteosarcoma. However, the mechanistic basis of osteosarcoma VM remains unclear. Three hundred eighty-one upregulated differentially expressed genes (DEGs) and 526 downregulated DEGs between human osteosarcoma cell line 143B and HOS cell exposed to Matrigel were screened out by microarray. GO categories such as "cell adhesion", "angiogenesis" were enriched in 143B group. PATHWAY analysis showed enriched TGF-beta, Wnt and VEGF signaling pathway in 143B group. The hub gene ITGA2 in signal-network of DEGs exhibited pro-VM and pro-metastasis effect. Our study provides fundamental data for further studies regarding molecules involved in osteosarcoma VM.

Genetic boundaries delineate the potential human pathogen Salmonella bongori into discrete lineages: divergence and speciation. BMC Genomics 2019; 20:930. [PMID: 31801462 PMCID: PMC6894293 DOI: 10.1186/s12864-019-6259-z] [Citation(s) in RCA: 3] [Impact Index Per Article: 0.6] [Reference Citation Analysis] [Abstract] [Key Words] [Track Full Text] [Download PDF] [Figures] [Journal Information] [Subscribe] [Scholar Register] [Received: 03/15/2019] [Accepted: 11/05/2019] [Indexed: 12/13/2022] Open
Abstract
Background Salmonella bongori infect mainly cold-blooded hosts, but infections by S. bongori in warm-blooded hosts have been reported. We hypothesized that S. bongori might have diverged into distinct phylogenetic lineages, with some being able to infect warm-blooded hosts. Results To inspect the divergence status of S. bongori, we first completely sequenced the parakeet isolate RKS3044 and compared it with other sequenced S. bongori strains. We found that RKS3044 contained a novel T6SS encoded in a pathogenicity island-like structure, in addition to a T6SS encoded in SPI-22, which is common to all S. bongori strains so far reported. This novel T6SS resembled the SPI-19 T6SS of the warm-blooded host infecting Salmonella Subgroup I lineages. Genomic sequence comparisons revealed different genomic sequence amelioration events among the S. bongori strains, including a unique CTAG tetranucleotide degeneration pattern in RKS3044, suggesting non-overlapping gene pools between RKS3044 and other S. bongori lineages/strains leading to their independent accumulation of genomic variations. We further proved the existence of a clear-cut genetic boundary between RKS3044 and the other S. bongori lineages/strains analyzed in this study. Conclusions The warm-blooded host-infecting S. bongori strain RKS3044 has diverged with distinct genomic features from other S. bongori strains, including a novel T6SS encoded in a previously not reported pathogenicity island-like structure and a unique genomic sequence degeneration pattern. These findings alert cautions about the emergence of new pathogens originating from non-pathogenic ancestors by acquiring specific pathogenic traits.
