Abstract
Near-infrared (NIR) light, compared with ultraviolet (UV) light, has a stronger tissue penetration ability and is widely used in the medical field. However, few hydrogels can be triggered by NIR. Here, a modular polymer-nanosheet (metal disulfide) (PNS) hydrogel system was proposed, which can be photo-crosslinked through photothermal conversion under NIR light. MoS2, a transition-metal dichalcogenide, was used as a crosslink center in PNS hydrogels. Mo and S (from thiolated polymers), which are essential for gelation, were discovered to have new bonds. Furthermore, 3D printing of NIR-triggered PNS hydrogels was achieved conceptually with masked NIR. Moreover, multiple hydrogels and metal disulfides were applicable in this modular gelation system. This study indicated that these PNS hydrogels have great potential in many smart biomedical applications, including wearable sensors, noninvasive in vivo 3D bioprinting, and tissue repair substitutes.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES The present study aims to develop an effective risk-prediction score (RPS) to improve screening efficiency and contribute to secondary prevention of colorectal cancer (CRC). STUDY DESIGN Screening for colorectal lesions. METHODS 14,398 high-risk individuals aged 50-65 years were included. The baseline characteristics of participants with and without colorectal lesions (CL) were compared using a Chi-squared test. The overall population was randomly split into a training set and a test set in the ratio of 80% and 20%. One-factor and multifactor logistic regression analyses were performed in the training set to construct the RPS (scores of 0-9.62). Area under curve (AUC) was calculated as an estimate of predictive performance using the receiver-operating characteristic (ROC) curve in the test set. RESULTS In the study population, being male, advanced age, current or previous smoking, weekly alcohol consumption, high body mass index (BMI ≥24 kg/m2), and previously detected colonic polyp were associated with higher risk of CL. Compared to the low-risk group (0-2.31 points), the ORs and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) for the moderate-risk group (2.31-3.85 points) and high-risk group (3.85-8.42 points) were 1.58 (1.44, 1.73) and 2.52 (2.30, 2.76), respectively. For every 1-point increase in score, participants had a 27% increased risk of CL (OR:1.27, 95% CI: 1.24, 1.30). For participants with CL predicted by RPS, the area under the working characteristic curve was 0.61 (P < 0.001). CONCLUSION Our RPS can quickly and efficiently identify multiple lesions of the colorectum. Combining RPS with existing screening strategies facilitates the identification of very high-risk individuals and may help to prevent CRC.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE This study mainly explores (2R,6R; 2S,6S)-HNK and its compounds whether there are antidepressant effects. METHODS Four HNK compounds were obtained from 2-(Chlorophenyl) Cyclopentylmethanone. Forced swimming test, locomotor sensitization test, and conditioned location preference test were used to screen the antidepressant activity of the synthesized target compounds. RESULTS In the case of 10 mg HNK treatment, compared with saline, the immobile time of mice in the HNK group, I5 group and I6 group at 1 h and 7 days had statistical significance. In the case of 10 mg HNK treatment, compared with saline, the immobile time of compound C and D groups in the glass cylinder area was significantly different. In the locomotor sensitization test, the movement distance of compound C and D groups on day 15 and day 7 mice increased significantly compared with the first day. In the conditioned place preference experiment, compound C and compound D induced conditioned place preference in mice compared with the Veh group. CONCLUSION The results of the forced swimming test, locomotor sensitization test, and conditioned location preference test showed that compounds C and D may have certain anti-depressant activity. However, HNK exerts a rapid and significant antidepressant effect within 1 week, but the duration is short.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The standardization of warfarin anticoagulant therapy is the key to lifelong treatment for patients after heart valve replacement. The present study explored the possible risk factors for anxiety and depression during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic and analyzed the influence of psychological state on medication safety. METHODS Eligible patients received a web-based questionnaire survey via the Wenjuanxing platform during outpatient visits. Depression was evaluated by the Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS). Anxiety was evaluated by the Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS). Medication adherence was evaluated by the Morisky scale. RESULTS A total of 309 patients (aged 52.2±11.4 years) were included in the present study. The SDS score of all included patients was 36.9±9.4 points, of which 11 (3.6%) patients were diagnosed as having depression. The SAS score of all included patients was 43.1±9.3 points, of which 71 (23%) patients were diagnosed as having anxiety. Seven patients (2.3%) had both anxiety and depression. Logistic regression analysis revealed that only monthly income was an independent influencing factor for depression. Regarding anxiety, patients who underwent repeated operations had a 2.264-fold greater risk, and patients who received combination medication had a 2.140-fold greater risk. More bleeding events and coagulation disorders could be observed in patients with anxiety, depression or both. When anxiety occurred, patients showed worse medication adherence. However, depression had no significant effect on medication adherence. CONCLUSION During the COVID-19 pandemic, the detection rate of mental illnesses such as anxiety and depression was high, which seriously affected the medication safety of warfarin. Analysis of its influencing factors will provide a reference for further standardized regulation of warfarin anticoagulant therapy after valve replacement.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The association between hospital and physician procedure volume outcome has not been well evaluated for atrial fibrillation (AF) ablation in contemporary practice. OBJECTIVE To determine the association between hospital and physician AF ablation volume and procedural success (isolation of all pulmonary veins) and major adverse events (MAE). METHODS Procedures reported to the NCDR AFib Ablation Registry between July 2019 and June 2022 were included. Hospital and physician procedural volumes were annualized and stratified into quartiles (Q) to compare outcomes. Three level hierarchical (patient, hospital and physician) models were used to assess the procedural volume outcome relationship. RESULTS A total of 70,296 first-time AF ablations at 186 U.S. hospitals were included. Overall, procedural success and MAE rate were 98.5 % and 1.0% respectively. With hospital volume (Q4) as a reference, the likelihood of procedural success was lower for Q1 (OR 0.44, 95%CI 0.29-0.68), Q2 (OR 0.50, 95%CI 0.33-0.75) and Q3 (OR 0.60, 95%CI 0.40-0.89); the results were similarly signifant for physician volume. With MAE for hospitals, there was an inverse procedural volume relationship for Q1 (OR 1.78, 95%CI 1.26-2.51) but not for Q2 (OR 1.06, 95%CI 0.77-1.46) or Q3 (OR 1.19, 95%CI 0.89-1.58) and similarly for physicians in Q1 and Q2, not in Q3. An adjusted MAE ≤ 1% was predicted by an annual volume of approximately 190 for hospitals and 60 for physicians. CONCLUSION In this national cohort, hospital and physician AF ablation procedural volumes were directly related to acute procedural success and inversely related to rates of MAE.

Abstract
Background High altitude de-acclimatization (HADA) is gradually becoming a public health concern as millions of individuals of different occupations migrate to high-altitude areas for work due to economic growth in plateau areas. HADA affects people who return to lower elevations after exposure to high altitudes. It causes significant physiological and functional changes that can negatively impact health and even endanger life. However, uncertainties persist about the detailed mechanisms underlying HADA. Methods We established a population cohort of individuals with HADA and assessed variations in metabolite composition. Plasm samples of four groups, including subjects staying at plain (P) and high altitude (H) as well as subjects suffering from HADA syndrome with almost no reaction (r3) and mild-to-moderate reaction (R3) after returning to plain from high altitude, were collected and analyzed by Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry metabolomic. Multivariate statistical analyses were used to explore significant differences and potential clinical prospect of metabolites. Result Although significantly different on current HADAS diagnostic symptom score, there were no differences in 17 usual clinical indices between r3 and R3. Further multivariate analyses showed isolated clustering distribution of the metabolites among the four groups, suggesting significant differences in their metabolic characteristics. Through K-means clustering analysis, we identified 235 metabolites that exhibited patterns of abundance change consistent with phenotype of HADA syndrome. Pathway enrichment analysis indicated a high influence of polyunsaturated fatty acids under high-altitude conditions. We compared the metabolites between R3 and r3 and found 107 metabolites with differential abundance involved in lipid metabolism and oxidation, suggesting their potential role in the regulation of oxidative stress homeostasis. Among them, four metabolites might play a key role in the occurrence of HADA, including 11-beta-hydroxyandrosterone-3-glucuronide, 5-methoxyindoleacetate, 9,10-epoxyoctadecenoic acid, and PysoPC (20:5). Conclusion We observed the dynamic variation in the metabolic process of HADA. Levels of four metabolites, which might be provoking HADA mediated through lipid metabolism and oxidation, were expected to be explore prospective indices for HADA. Additionally, metabolomics was more efficient in identifying environmental risk factors than clinical examination when dramatic metabolic disturbances underlying the difference in symptoms were detected, providing new insights into the molecular mechanisms of HADAS.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Procedure volumes are associated with outcomes for many cardiovascular procedures, leading to guidelines on minimum volume thresholds for certain procedures; however, the volume-outcome relationship with left atrial appendage occlusion is poorly understood. As such, we sought to determine the relationship between hospital and physician volume and WATCHMAN left atrial appendage occlusion procedural success overall and with the new generation WATCHMAN FLX device. METHODS We performed an analysis of WATCHMAN procedures (January 2019 to October 2021) from the National Cardiovascular Data Registry LAAO Registry. Three-level hierarchical generalized linear models were used to assess the adjusted relationship between procedure volume and procedural success (device released with peridevice leak <5 mm, no in-hospital major adverse events). RESULTS Among 87 480 patients (76.2±8.0 years; 58.8% men; mean CHA2DS2-VASc score, 4.8±1.5) from 693 hospitals, the procedural success rate was 94.2%. With hospital volume Q4 (greatest volume) as the reference, the likelihood of procedural success was significantly less among Q1 (odds ratio [OR], 0.66 [CI, 0.57-0.77]) and Q2 (OR, 0.78 [CI, 0.69-0.90]) but not Q3 (OR, 0.95 [CI, 0.84-1.07]). With physician volume Q4 (greatest volume) as the reference, the likelihood of procedural success was significantly less among Q1 (OR, 0.72 [CI, 0.63-0.82]), Q2 (OR, 0.79 [CI, 0.71-0.89]), and Q3 (OR, 0.88 [CI, 0.79-0.97]). Among WATCHMAN FLX procedures, there was attenuation of the volume-outcome relationships, with statistically significant but modest absolute differences of only ≈1% across volume quartiles. CONCLUSIONS In this contemporary national analysis, greater hospital and physician WATCHMAN volumes were associated with increased procedure success. The WATCHMAN FLX transition was associated with increased procedural success and less heterogeneity in outcomes across volume quartiles. These findings indicate the importance of understanding the volume-outcome relationship for individual left atrial appendage occlusion devices.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES This study aimed to identify risk factors contributing to diverse pregnancy outcomes in primary Sjögren's syndrome (pSS) cases. METHODS A retrospective analysis was conducted on pregnant individuals with pSS, who received outpatient or inpatient care across multiple hospitals in Anhui Province, China, from January 2015 to December 2022. RESULTS This study included 164 pregnant women with pSS and 328 control subjects, with no statistically significant difference in average age between the two groups. Analysis of pregnancy outcomes revealed that, compared with the control group, pregnant women in the pSS group were more likely to experience miscarriages, both spontaneous (12.80% vs 1.52%, p<0.001) and therapeutic (6.10% vs 0.91%, p<0.05). The proportion of placental abnormalities detected during prenatal ultrasound in women from the pSS group was higher (14.63% vs 6.40%, p<0.05). In the analysis of pregnancy outcomes for live-born neonates, a higher incidence of congenital heart abnormalities was observed in the pSS group (27.34% vs 12.03%, p<0.05). While there were no significant differences between the pSS pregnancies in terms of both normal and adverse pregnancy outcomes, a comparison of fetal survival and fetal loss in pSS pregnancies revealed a greater use of prophylactic anticoagulant therapy in the fetal survival group. Notably, the application of low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) emerged as an independent protective factor for fetal survival. CONCLUSIONS Compared with non-autoimmune controls, pregnancy in women with pSS presents more challenges. Importantly, we observed that the use of LMWH as anticoagulant therapy is an independent protective measure for fetal survival.

Abstract
Chemical investigation of a culture broth from the marine-derived fungus Pyrrhoderma noxium HNNU0524 yielded two new compounds including a drimane-type sesquiterpenoid named pyrrnoxin A (1) and a benzoic acid derivative, pyrrnoxin B (5), together with three related known analogues (2-4). The chemical structures of 1 and 5 were determined by detailed analysis of spectroscopic data, single-crystal X-ray crystallography, quantum mechanics-based DP4+ and ECD calculations. Compounds 2 and 3 moderately inhibited NO production of lipopolysaccharide-induced microglia cells BV2 with IC50 values of 26.6 and 60.5 µM, respectively.

Abstract
Numerous studies have shown that there are multiple neural activities involved in the process of bone resorption and bone regeneration, and promoting osteogenesis by promoting neural network reconstruction is an effective strategy for repairing critical size bone defects. However, traumatic bone defects often cause activation of the sympathetic nervous system (SNS) in the damaged area, releasing excess catecholamines (CAs), resulting in a decrease in the rate of bone formation. Herein, a 3D-printed scaffold loaded with propranolol (PRN) is proposed to reduce CA concentrations in bone defect areas and promote bone regeneration through drug release. For this purpose, PRN-loaded methacrylated gelatin (GelMA) microspheres were mixed with low-concentration GelMA and perfused into a 3D-printed porous hydroxyapatite (HAp) scaffold. By releasing PRN, which can block β-adrenergic receptors, it hinders the activation of sympathetic nerves and inhibits the release of excess CA by the SNS. At the same time, the composite scaffold recruits bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) and promotes the differentiation of BMSCs in the direction of osteoblasts, which effectively promotes bone regeneration in the rabbit femoral condyle defect model. The results of the study showed that the release of PRN from the composite scaffold could effectively hinder the activation of sympathetic nerves and promote bone regeneration, providing a new strategy for the treatment of bone defects.

Abstract
Beta-Parvin (PARVB) is an actin-binding protein with functionality in extracellular matrix binding. Recent studies suggest its potential as a biomarker for various cancers, given its role in governing several malignancies. Yet, its involvement and modulatory mechanisms in malignant melanoma remain under-explored. In this research, we undertook a comprehensive pan-cancer analysis centered on PARVB. We probed its aberrant expression and prognostic implications, and assessed correlations between PARVB expression and immunocyte infiltration. This expression was subsequently corroborated using clinical samples. Both in vitro and in vivo, we discerned the functional ramifications of PARVB on melanoma. Furthermore, we scrutinized how HIF-1α/2α modulates PARVB and initiated a preliminary investigation into potential downstream pathways influenced by PARVB. Our results illuminate that elevated PARVB expression manifests across various tumors and significantly influences the prognosis of multiple cancers, emphasizing its peculiar expression and prognostic relevance in melanoma. Augmented PARVB levels were inversely proportional to immunocyte penetration in melanoma. Silencing PARVB curtailed cellular proliferation, migration, and invasion in vitro and decelerated tumor expansion in vivo. Notably, hypoxic conditions, triggering HIF-1α/2α activation, appear to elevate PARVB expression by anchoring to the hypoxia-specific responsive element within the PARVB promoter. Enhanced PARVB levels seem intertwined with the activation of cellular proliferation circuits and the damping of inflammatory trajectories. Collectively, these revelations posit PARVB as a potential prognostic indicator and therapeutic linchpin for malignant melanoma.

Abstract
Numerous gut microorganisms residing in the gut tract and their metabolites play an important role in animal growth. Diet, as the main factor, affects the changes of gut microbiota, and host genetics also have a significant impact on gut microbiota, including growth stages. However, the differences of gut microbiota and its metabolites at various growth stages in local pig breed remains unclear. We used 16S rRNA gene sequencing and untargeted metabolomics to investigate the fecal microbiota and metabolites in different developmental stages of Hainan Tunchang pigs. The relative proportions of dominant bacteria Firmicutes and Spirochaetes increased, Bacteroidetes and Proteobacteria decreased with the development. As age increased, different physiological states led to structural and functional changes in animal nutrition metabolism and immune needs, as well as changes in gut microbiota and its metabolites. We have detected several statistically different microbial and metabolic biomarkers at different growth stages. Meanwhile, through correlation analysis between differential bacteria and metabolites, it was found that the bacteria forming networks with their significant related metabolites were different at various growth stages, Holdemanella, Sharpea, Subdoligranulum, and uncultured_bacterium_o_Bacteroidales were enriched between preweaning piglets and weaning piglets, and they all positive correlated with related metabolites. We also found that the differential bacteria were significantly related to short-chain fatty acid. These findings might provide new insights into the developmental changes of gut microbiota in local pig breeds and the interaction mechanism between the body, and improve pig growth performance and efficiency by regulating the composition of gut microbiota and metabolites.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The prognosis of pediatric Epstein-Barr virus (EBV)-associated hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (EBV-HLH) varies. This study aimed to identify high-risk children early. PROCEDURE Data from 264 children (0-14 years of age), diagnosed with EBV-HLH at six centers in China between January 2016 and December 2021, were analyzed. Patients were randomly divided into derivation (n = 185) and verification (n = 79) cohorts. A Cox regression model was used to explore risk predictors and establish a prognostic scoring system for death events that occurred during the follow-up period. RESULTS Chronic active EBV infection (CAEBV) history (hazard ratio [HR] 1.82 [95% confidence interval, CI: 1.02-3.26]; p = .0441), plasma EBV-DNA more than 104 copies/mL (HR 2.89 [95% CI: 1.62-5.16]; p = .0003), pulmonary infection (HR 2.24 [95% CI: 1.06-4.75]; p = .0353), digestive tract hemorrhage (HR 2.55 [95% CI: 1.35-4.82]; p = .0041), and hypoxemia (HR 3.95 [95% CI: 2.15-7.26]; p < .0001) were independent risk factors. Accordingly, the CAEBV history, plasma EBV-DNA copy number, pulmonary infection hemorrhage of digestive tract, hypoxemia prognostic scoring system (CEPHO-PSS) were developed, which separated patients into low- (0-1 points), middle- (2-3 points), and high- (4-8 points) risk groups. Survival curves for the three groups exhibited statistically significant differences (p < .0001). Internal and external verification of CEPHO-PSS was performed using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) and calibration curves in the derivation and verification cohorts, respectively, confirming good accuracy and applicability. CONCLUSIONS The CEPHO-PSS identified three risk groups with statistically significant differences in survival curves. It was based on the baseline characteristics, and can give clinicians a convenient check for risk prediction.

Abstract
Tunchang pigs are an indigenous pig population in China known for their high tolerance to roughage, delicious meat, and fecundity. However, the number of Tunchang pigs has been declining due to the influence of commercial breeds and African swine fever, which could potentially lead to inbreeding. To assess the inbreeding level and the genetic basis of important traits in Tunchang pigs, our research investigated the patterns in "runs of homozygosity" (ROHs) using whole genome resequencing data from 32 Tunchang pigs. The study aimed to determine the length, number, coverage, and distribution model of ROHs in Tunchang pigs, as well as genomic regions with high ROH frequencies. The results of the study revealed that a total of 20,499,374 single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and 1953 ROH fragments were recognized in 32 individuals. The ROH fragments in Tunchang pigs were predominantly short, ranging from 0.5 to 1 megabases (Mb) in length. Furthermore, the coverage of ROHs varied across chromosomes, with chromosome 3 having the highest coverage and chromosome 11 having the lowest coverage. The genetic diversity of Tunchang pigs was found to be relatively high based on the values of HE (expected heterozygosity), HO (observed heterozygosity), pi (nucleotide diversity), Ne (effective population size), and MAF (minor allele frequency). The average inbreeding coefficients of Tunchang pigs, as determined by three different methods (FHOM, FGRM, and FROH), were 0.019, 0.0138, and 0.0304, respectively. These values indicate that the level of inbreeding in Tunchang pigs is currently low. Additionally, the study identified a total of 13 ROH islands on all chromosomes, which in total contained 38,913 SNPs and 120 genes. These ROH islands included genes associated with economically important traits, including meat quality (GYS1, PHLPP1, SLC27A5, and CRTC1), growth and development (ANKS1A, TAF11, SPDEF, LHB, and PACSIN1), and environmental adaptation (SLC26A7). The findings of this research offer valuable perspectives on the present status of Tunchang pig resources and offer a reference for breeding conservation plans and the efficient utilization of Tunchang pigs in the future. By understanding the inbreeding level and genetic basis of important traits in Tunchang pigs, conservation efforts can be targeted towards maintaining genetic diversity and promoting the sustainable development of this indigenous pig population.

Abstract
The effects of HNK, I5, and I6 on the expression of protein in hippocampus of depressed mice were studied by isobaric tags for relative and absolute quantitation (iTRAQ) to explore the mechanism of their antidepressant action. HNK, I5, and I6 were administered intragastric administration once a day in the morning for 7 days. The drug was subsequently discontinued for 7 days (without any treatment). On the 15th day, mice in each group were given the drug (1.0, 10.0, 30.0 mg/kg) intragastric stimulation and mouse hippocampal tissues were taken to perform iTRAQ to identify differentially expressed proteins, and bioinformatics was used to analyze the functional enrichment of the differentially expressed proteins. Compared with Ctr group, the number of differentially expressed proteins in HNK, I5, and I6 treatment groups was 158, 88, and 105, respectively. The three groups shared 29 differentially expressed proteins. In addition, compared with HNK group, the number of differentially expressed proteins in I5 and I6 groups was 201 and 203, respectively. A total of 47 and 56 differentially expressed proteins were co-expressed in I5 and I6 groups. Bioinformatics analysis showed that these differentially expressed proteins mainly had the functions of binding, biocatalysis, and transport, and mainly participated in cellular process, biological regulation process, biological metabolism process, and stress reaction process. GO and KEGG pathway analysis found that these differentially expressed proteins were involved long-term potentiation, G13 pathway, platelet activation pathway, and MAPK signaling pathway. HNK, I5, and I6 antidepressants are closely related to sudden stress sensitivity, stress resistance, neurotransmitter, and metabolic pathways. This study provides a scientific basis to further elucidate the mechanism and clinical application of HNK, I5, and I6 antidepressants.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES The aim of this study was to describe the global trends in the burden of lymphoma from 1990 to 2019. STUDY DESIGN The data used in this study were from the Global Burden of Disease 2019 study. METHODS This study described the age-standardised rates of incidence, prevalence, mortality, years of life lost (YLLs), years lived with disability (YLDs), and disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) of lymphoma (non-Hodgkin and Hodgkin's lymphoma, NHL and HL, respectively) annually from 1990 to 2019, stratified by sociodemographic index (SDI) and 21 world regions. The estimated annual percentage changes in these indexes were calculated. RESULTS In 2019, the age-standardised rates of HL per 100,000 population were lower than those of NHL in terms of incidence (1.1 vs 6.7 per 100,000 person-years, respectively) and prevalence (0.3 vs 5.7 per 100,000 person-years, respectively) but not mortality (21.6 vs 3.2 per 100,000 person-years, respectively). From 1999 to 2019, the global incidence of HL decreased and the incidence of NHL increased, and the prevalence of both HL and NHL increased, but the mortality rates decreased. When stratified by SDI, the incidence of HL decreased in all but middle-SDI regions, the mortality rate of HL decreased in all regions, and both the incidence and mortality rate of NHL increased in all but high-SDI regions. The prevalence of HL and NHL increased in all SDI regions, especially in middle-SDI regions. YLLs and DALYs of HL in all SDI regions and those of NHL in high-SDI regions decreased. YLDs slightly increased in middle- to high-SDI regions. CONCLUSIONS Lymphoma remains a major public health issue, and better prevention, precise identification, and promising treatments are vitally important.

Abstract
To investigate the influence of nanometakaolin (NMK) on the compression behavior of concrete, acoustic emission (AE) is applied to monitor the development of cracks on ordinary concrete as a control sample and concrete with the addition of 1% or 3% NMK during the whole compressive process. The AE parameters (event, count, RA-AF, etc.) and Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM) were analyzed. The results show that the addition of NMK results in a decrease of crack number and crack width. Compared to the control concrete, the concrete with NMK inhibits the initial crack, increases the crack initiation stress and crack damage stress, and improves the energy of crack propagation. Correspondingly, we proposed a critical point where the ringing counts and amplitude fit parameters are less than a certain threshold. This index can be used as a failure precursor for crack instability. According to the criterion and the GMM, what is found from the relation between RA and AF is that the resistance to tensile and shear is improved in the case of the concrete with NMK.

Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the relationship between blood urea nitrogen to albumin ratio (BAR) and the prognosis of heart failure (HF).A total of 2125 patients with HF were included in this single-center prospective cohort study between February 2012 and December 2017. Using a receiver operating characteristic curve, we determined the cutoff value of BAR as 0.24. All patients were divided into two groups according to the cutoff value of BAR.Among 2125 HF patients, the mean age was 56.7 ± 14.3. During a median follow-up time of 22 months, 516 end-point events occurred. Compared with patients in the low BAR group, those in the high BAR group were older; more likely to be male; had a higher percentage of hypertension, diabetes, smoking, and β-blocker use; and higher levels of alanine aminotransferase, glycosylated hemoglobin, creatinine, log-transformed NTproBNP, and Blood urea nitrogen but lower levels of albumin, triglycerides, high-density lipoprotein, ApoA1, and hemoglobin. Prognosis analysis indicated that high BAR was associated with increased mortality risk of HF (Hazard Ratio = 1.497, 95% CI = 1.234-1.816; P < 0.001) in the multivariate Cox proportional hazard regression model. Subgroup analysis revealed that stratification by age, gender, history of hypertension, diabetes, smoking, β-blocker use, and levels of hemoglobin, glycosylated hemoglobin, and creatinine have no obvious effect on the association between BAR ratio and the prognosis of HF. Furthermore, patients with high BAR represented a decreased left ventricular ejection fraction and increased left ventricular end-diastolic diameter.High BAR was an independent predictor for the mortality risk of HF.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is among the most immunosuppressive tumour types. The tumour immune microenvironment (TIME) is largely driven by interactions between immune cells and heterogeneous tumour cells. Here, we aimed to investigate the mechanism of tumour cells in TIME formation and provide potential combination treatment strategies for PDAC patients based on genotypic heterogeneity. DESIGN Highly multiplexed imaging mass cytometry, RNA sequencing, mass cytometry by time of flight and multiplex immunofluorescence staining were performed to identify the pro-oncogenic proteins associated with low immune activation in PDAC. An in vitro coculture system, an orthotopic PDAC allograft tumour model, flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry were used to explore the biological functions of cysteine-rich intestinal protein 1 (CRIP1) in tumour progression and TIME formation. RNA sequencing, mass spectrometry and chromatin immunoprecipitation were subsequently conducted to investigate the underlying mechanisms of CRIP1. RESULTS Our results showed that CRIP1 was frequently upregulated in PDAC tissues with low immune activation. Elevated CRIP1 expression induced high levels of myeloid-derived suppressor cell (MDSC) infiltration and fostered an immunosuppressive tumour microenvironment. Mechanistically, we primarily showed that CRIP1 bound to nuclear factor kappa-B (NF-κB)/p65 and facilitated its nuclear translocation in an importin-dependent manner, leading to the transcriptional activation of CXCL1/5. PDAC-derived CXCL1/5 facilitated the chemotactic migration of MDSCs to drive immunosuppression. SX-682, an inhibitor of CXCR1/2, blocked tumour MDSC recruitment and enhanced T-cell activation. The combination of anti-PD-L1 therapy with SX-682 elicited increased CD8+T cell infiltration and potent antitumor activity in tumour-bearing mice with high CRIP1 expression. CONCLUSIONS The CRIP1/NF-κB/CXCL axis is critical for triggering immune evasion and TIME formation in PDAC. Blockade of this signalling pathway prevents MDSC trafficking and thereby sensitises PDAC to immunotherapy.

Abstract
We investigated the clinical significance of CTCs in cancer progression by detecting multiple cancer driver genes associated with epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) at the transcript level. The 10-gene panel, comprising CCND1, ECT2, EpCAM, FSCN1, KRT5, KRT18, MET, TFRC, TWIST1, and VEGFC, was established for characterizing CTCs from mouse ESCC xenograft models and clinical ESCC peripheral blood (PB) samples. Correlations between gene expression in CTCs from PB samples (n = 77) and clinicopathological features in ESCC patients (n = 55) were examined. The presence of CTCs at baseline was significantly correlated with tumor size (p = 0.031). The CTC-high patients were significantly correlated with advanced cancer stages (p = 0.013) and distant metastasis (p = 0.029). High mRNA levels of TWIST1 (Hazard Ratio (HR) = 5.44, p = 0.007), VEGFC (HR = 6.67, p < 0.001), TFRC (HR = 2.63, p = 0.034), and EpCAM (HR = 2.53, p = 0.041) at baseline were significantly associated with a shorter overall survival (OS) in ESCC patients. This study also revealed that TWIST1 facilitates EMT and enhances malignant potential by promoting tumor migration, invasion, and cisplatin chemoresistance through the TWIST1-TGFBI-ZEB1 axis in ESCC, highlighting the prognostic and therapeutic potential of TWIST1 in clinical ESCC treatment.

Abstract
Primary Sjögren's syndrome (pSS) is a complex autoimmune disease characterized by lymphocytic infiltration and exocrine dysfunction, particularly affecting the salivary gland (SG). We employed single-cell RNA sequencing to investigate cellular heterogeneity in 11 patients with pSS and 5 non-SS controls. Notably, patients with pSS exhibited downregulated SOX9 in myoepithelial cells, potentially associated with impaired epithelial regeneration. An expanded ACKR1+ endothelial subpopulation in patients with pSS suggested a role in facilitating lymphocyte transendothelial migration. Our analysis of immune cells revealed expanded IGHD+ naive B cells in peripheral blood from patients with pSS. Pseudotime trajectory analysis outlined a bifurcated differentiation pathway for peripheral B cells, enriching three subtypes (VPREB3+ B, BANK1+ B, CD83+ B cells) within SGs in patients with pSS. Fibroblasts emerged as pivotal components in a stromal-immune interaction network, potentially driving extracellular matrix disruption, epithelial regeneration impairment, and inflammation. Our study illuminates immune and stromal cell heterogeneity in patients with pSS, offering insights into therapeutic strategies.

Abstract
This paper presents a waveguide-slot antenna to generate a radiation beam with high gain fed by a low-loss feeding network at 110 GHz. The proposed antenna consists of a compact eight-way power divider and a waveguide-slot array. The eight-way power divider provides equal-amplitude and alternative-phase excitation for the slot array, and each of them supports two waveguides. The integral structure is implemented by two layers with a channeled substratum and a slotted superstratum. To verify the proposed slot array, the designed array is fabricated with computer numerical control (CNC) milling and measured. The measured peak gain of the designed antenna is 32 dBi at 110 GHz. The proposed antenna with a simple structure provides a promising solution to develop high gain antenna in upper millimeter-wave and sub-terahertz (THz) applications.

We aimed to profile the characteristics and evaluate the care of such patients in this study. METHODS Adult patients with an endoscopic record of attempted foreign body retrieval between January 2013 and September 2020 were identified at three Australian hospitals. Those with a documented mental health diagnosis were included and their standard medical records reviewed. Presentation history, demographics, comorbidities and endoscopic findings were recorded and described. RESULTS A total of 166 admissions were accounted for by 35 patients, 2/3 of which had borderline personality disorder (BPD). Repetitive presentations occurred in more than half of the cohort. There was an increased trend of hospital admissions throughout the years. At least half of the cohort had a documented mental health review during their admission. An average of 3.3 (2.9) foreign bodies were ingested per single episode. Endoscopic intervention was performed in 76.5% of incidents. The combined Length of stay for all patients was 680 days. CONCLUSION Deliberate foreign body ingestion in mental health patients is a common, recurring and challenging problem that is increasing in frequency and requires collaborative research to further guide holistic management.

Abstract
The correlation of early life adversity with adulthood psychopathology has already been revealed by epidemiological studies. To find the biological mechanisms underlying the cross-talk between prenatal adversity and mental health, molecular genetic studies have been performed using animal models of prenatal undernutrition and stress, reporting altered expression of serotonin receptors which modulate the release of many neurotransmitters that regulate a broad range of physiological functions including psychopathology. Unfortunately, no such study has been possible on humans due to ethical reasons. Using the Chinese Famine of 1959-1961 as a natural experiment, we investigated DNA methylation patterns in genes of the serotonin receptor signaling pathway in the whole blood of adults born during the famine. A significant pattern of reduced DNA methylation was observed in sex combined samples (p value, 0.022). In a sex-stratified analysis, the pattern was only significant in females (p-value, 0.019) but not in males. We further tested the DNA methylation patterns specifically in HTR1A, HTR2A and the X-linked HTR2C and found reduced DNA methylation in females for HTR2A (p-value 0.033) and HTR2C (p-value 0.014) but not in males. Overall, this study reveals altered epigenetic regulation of the serotonin receptor signaling pathway in association with prenatal adversity in humans providing novel epigenetic evidence in support of neurodevelopmental origin of psychiatric disorders.
