[Analysis on perioperative safety and feasibility of pure single-port laparoscopic distal gastrectomy for gastric cancer]. Abstract
Objective: To investigate the safety and feasibility of pure single-port laparoscopic distal gastrectomy (SDG) in the radical treatment of gastric cancer. Methods: A retrospective cohort study with propensity score matching (PSM) was conducted. Subjects were included in the study who were diagnosed by imaging examination and pathology as early distal gastric cancer, no distant metastasis, no serious cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and underwent radical gastrectomy. Patients with incomplete clinical data, unplanned second operation and complicated with other tumors were excluded. A retrospective analysis was performed on 15 patients who underwent pure SDG radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer from September 2020 to March 2022, namely the SDG group. Fifty-eight patients undergoing conventional five-port laparoscopic radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer were included as the control group, namely the LDG group. As it was found that there was a statistically significant difference in baseline body mass index (BMI) between the two groups [(20.8±0.8) kg/m2 vs. (22.9±0.4) kg/m2, t=2.456, P=0.017], one-to-one PSM was conducted between the two groups. Then the basic conditions of the two groups of patients in perioperative period were analyzed and compared. Results: There were 14 patients after PSM in the SDG group and the LDG group respectively. There were no significant differences in intraoperative bleeding, number of lymph nodes dissected, time to the first postoperative feeding and postoperative complications between the SDG group and the LDG group (all P>0.05). Compared with LDG group, the operative time in the SDG group was longer [(163.6±6.3) minutes vs. (133.9±4.4) minutes, t=3.866, P=0.001]. However, in the SDG group, time to the first flatus [(2.6±0.2) days vs. (3.3±0.1) days, t=3.053,P=0.005], time to drainage tube removal [(4.5±0.8) days vs. (6.9±0.2) days, t=2.914, P=0.007)] and postoperative hospital stay [(6.7±0.1) days vs. (9.2±1.0) days, t=2.534,P=0.018)] were significantly shorter, and pain score at the first postoperative day evaluated by NRS (1.86±0.29 vs. 2.86±0.35, t=2.205, P=0.037) was significantly lower as compared to the LDG group. Four patients in SDG group did not receive peritoneal drainage tube placement after surgery, and they all recovered safely. Conclusion: The pure single-port laparoscopic radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer is safe and feasible, and has an advantage over the LDG in postoperative recovery.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the related factors of postoperative recurrence intrigeminal neuralgia (TN) patients treated with fully neuroendoscopic microvascular decompression (MVD). Methods: The clinical baseline data and preoperative MRI imaging data of 112 patients with TN treated by neuroendoscopic MVD from December 2008 to December 2020 in the Department of Neurosurgery, Beijing Shijitan Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University were retrospectively analyzed, including: area ratio of cerebellopontine area (CPA)(healthy side/affected side), trigeminal nerve(TGN)length ratio(healthy side/affected side), TGN angle ratio(healthy side/affected side), and criminal vessel type. Multivariate Cox proportional hazards model was used to analyze the factors affecting postoperative recurrence. Results: Among the 112 patients in this group, there were 49 males and 63 females. The age ranged from 20 to 82 (59±9) years, and the course of disease was 0.05 to 30.00 (5.60±5.15) years. Pain was located on the left side in 43 cases (38.39%) and on the right side in 69 cases (61.61%), respectively. All patients were followed up for more than 1 year, with an average follow-up time of 21.5 months, and 11 cases recurred. Multivariate Cox regression analysis revealed that disease duration≥3 years(HR=9.34, 95%CI:1.12-39.07), CPA area ratio(healthy side/affected side)>1 (HR=27.47, 95%CI:1.69-44.20), criminal vessel type with vein(HR=35.39, 95%CI:1.26-18.60) and criminal vessel type with arteriovenous (HR=46.07, 95%CI: 2.74-27.75) were the main factors influencing recurrence of MVD surgery (all P<0.05). Conclusion: The disease duration≥3 years, CPA area ratio(healthy side/affected side)>1, and criminal vessel type with vein/arteriovenous are the relevant factors that affect the recurrence rate after the fully neuroendoscopic MVD treatment for trigeminal neuralgia.

Abstract
Objectives: To describe the clinical characteristics of patients with autoimmune diseases associated interstitial lung diseases (AID-ILD) initially presented with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) in a tertiary Chinese hospital. Methods: We conducted a retrospective analysis of 14 patients diagnosed with AID-ILD during the IPF follow-up between January 2016 and December 2021. Among the 14 enrolled AID-ILD cases, there were 13 males and 1 female, (69.71±9.07) years old (range from 55 y to 87 y). Results: Detailed clinical consultation and further laboratory analysis were performed during the follow-up when the IPF patients showed exaggerated dyspnea (7 cases), fever of unknown causes (6 cases), microscopic hematuria (5 cases), arthralgia and swelling (4 cases), arthralgia (2 cases), morning stiffness (2 cases) and renal failure (2 cases). Finally, 6 patients showed positive MPO-ANCA, one patient showed positive PR3-ANCA and 7 patients showed positive anti-CCP. During the IPF periods, 7 patients had received antifibrotic agents and 5 patients had been prescribed with N-acetylcysteine, and 1 patient had received antifibrotic agents after N-acetylcysteine. Among them, no medication was prescribed for one IPF patient. After they were diagnosed with AID-ILD, glucocorticoids and/or immunosuppressants were added for 13 of them. Thirteen of cases improved or stable after these treatments, but one didn't show significant changes. Conclusions: AID-UIP, especially ANCA-UIP, AAV-UIP or RA-UIP should be considered when the IPF patients showed fever of unknown origin, microscopic hematuria and/or arthritis related symptoms. They might benefit from the add-on glucocorticoids and/or immunosuppressants.

Abstract
For more than half a century, researchers around the world have been engaged in attempts to achieve fusion ignition as a proof of principle of various fusion concepts. Following the Lawson criterion, an ignited plasma is one where the fusion heating power is high enough to overcome all the physical processes that cool the fusion plasma, creating a positive thermodynamic feedback loop with rapidly increasing temperature. In inertially confined fusion, ignition is a state where the fusion plasma can begin "burn propagation" into surrounding cold fuel, enabling the possibility of high energy gain. While "scientific breakeven" (i.e., unity target gain) has not yet been achieved (here target gain is 0.72, 1.37 MJ of fusion for 1.92 MJ of laser energy), this Letter reports the first controlled fusion experiment, using laser indirect drive, on the National Ignition Facility to produce capsule gain (here 5.8) and reach ignition by nine different formulations of the Lawson criterion.

Abstract
An inertial fusion implosion on the National Ignition Facility, conducted on August 8, 2021 (N210808), recently produced more than a megajoule of fusion yield and passed Lawson's criterion for ignition [Phys. Rev. Lett. 129, 075001 (2022)10.1103/PhysRevLett.129.075001]. We describe the experimental improvements that enabled N210808 and present the first experimental measurements from an igniting plasma in the laboratory. Ignition metrics like the product of hot-spot energy and pressure squared, in the absence of self-heating, increased by ∼35%, leading to record values and an enhancement from previous experiments in the hot-spot energy (∼3×), pressure (∼2×), and mass (∼2×). These results are consistent with self-heating dominating other power balance terms. The burn rate increases by an order of magnitude after peak compression, and the hot-spot conditions show clear evidence for burn propagation into the dense fuel surrounding the hot spot. These novel dynamics and thermodynamic properties have never been observed on prior inertial fusion experiments.

Abstract
We present the design of the first igniting fusion plasma in the laboratory by Lawson's criterion that produced 1.37 MJ of fusion energy, Hybrid-E experiment N210808 (August 8, 2021) [Phys. Rev. Lett. 129, 075001 (2022)10.1103/PhysRevLett.129.075001]. This design uses the indirect drive inertial confinement fusion approach to heat and compress a central "hot spot" of deuterium-tritium (DT) fuel using a surrounding dense DT fuel piston. Ignition occurs when the heating from absorption of α particles created in the fusion process overcomes the loss mechanisms in the system for a duration of time. This letter describes key design changes which enabled a ∼3-6× increase in an ignition figure of merit (generalized Lawson criterion) [Phys. Plasmas 28, 022704 (2021)1070-664X10.1063/5.0035583, Phys. Plasmas 25, 122704 (2018)1070-664X10.1063/1.5049595]) and an eightfold increase in fusion energy output compared to predecessor experiments. We present simulations of the hot-spot conditions for experiment N210808 that show fundamentally different behavior compared to predecessor experiments and simulated metrics that are consistent with N210808 reaching for the first time in the laboratory "ignition."

Abstract
This study purified two polysaccharides (LBMPs) from Lagotis brevituba Maxim in several steps. The chemical structure of LBMP-2 was determined by HPGPC, FT-IR, IC, 1H and 13C NMR, AFM, SEM, and TEM. The results show that LBMP-2 was mainly composed of GalA, and the Mw of LBMP-2 is 23.799 kDa. In addition, the antioxidant activity, and the antitumor activity in vitro and in vivo were studied. LBMP-2 has excellent antioxidant and antitumor capacity. The inhibition of tumor cell proliferation in vitro may result in the inhibition of aerobic respiration and glycolysis. Tumor growth inhibition in vivo may inhibit the expression of AMPK in tumors and enhance spleen function. Compared with conventional chemotherapy drug cyclophosphamide, LBMP-2 is less harmful to the body and safer. Therefore, LBMP-2 provides a potential source of antitumor drugs.

Abstract
PURPOSE To assess the diagnostic value of SuperSonic shear imaging (SSI) for the differentiation between benign and malignant thyroid nodules through meta-analysis. METHODS Online database searches were performed on PubMed, EMBASE, the Cochrane Library, and the Web of Science until 31 July 2021. The Quality Assessment of Diagnostic Accuracy Studies-2 tool was used to assess the quality of the included studies. Three measures of diagnostic test performance were used to examine the value of SSI, including the summary area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUROC), the summary diagnostic odds ratio (DOR), and the summary sensitivity and specificity. Heterogeneity was explored using meta-regression and subgroup analyses. RESULTS Finally, 21 studies with 3376 patients were included in this study. There were a total of 4296 thyroid nodules, in which 1806 malignant nodules and 2490 benign ones were involved. Thyroid nodules exhibited a malignancy rate of 42.0% (range 5.6-79.8%), 95.1% of which were of papillary variant. SSI showed a summary sensitivity of 74% [95% confidence interval (CI) 67-79%], specificity of 82% (95% CI 77-87%) and AUROC of 0.85 (95% CI 0.82-0.88) for the differentiation between benign and malignant thyroid nodules. The summary positive likelihood ratio (LR), negative LR, and DOR were 4.2 (95% CI 3.3-5.3), 0.32 (95% CI 0.26-0.40), and 13 (95% CI 9-18), respectively. CONCLUSIONS SSI showed high accuracy in the diagnostic differentiation between benign and malignant thyroid nodules and can be served as a noninvasive and important adjunct for thyroid nodule evaluation.

Abstract
We present a broadband light source based on near-infrared chirped-pulse difference-frequency mixing that is suitable for seeding long-wave-infrared (LWIR) optical parametric chirped-pulse amplification (OPCPA). A nitrocellulose pellicle is used in a Ti:sapphire regenerative amplifier to generate dual-frequency output pulses, which are subsequently mixed in a 0.4-mm thick AgGaS2 crystal. LWIR pulses with ∼1 µm full width at half maximum (FWHM) bandwidth centered at 10.5 µm are generated by mixing transform-limited pulses. Assisted by genetic algorithm optimization, the bandwidth is broadened to ∼3 µm FWHM within the 8-12 µm atmospheric transmission window. The seed source paves the path towards tabletop ultrafast terawatt-class passively carrier-envelope-phase stabilized OPCPA in the LWIR region.

We aimed to investigate the metabolic profile at age 1.5 – 4 years in chidren conceived from FET.
Summary answer
Plasma concentration of ApoE , fasting insulin and 11 small molecule metabolities were different beween FET group and the NC group.
What is known already
Rencently,we showed that FET-conceived male mouse offspring presented glucose metabolism dysfunction mainly manifesting insulin resistance. Observations from human studies indicate that body fat composition in IVF children is disturbed and children conceived by IVF/ICSI have a less favourable glucose and cardiovascular metabolic profile in childhood when compared with naturally conceived. But human study emphasised on metabolic profile of children concieved from FET is limited, one follow-up study have suggested that children conceived by FET often show abnormal lipid metabolism.
Study design, size, duration
284 children at early childhood (1.5-4 years) conceived from FET or naturally conceived were recruited based on the data from electronic Case Report Forms (e-CRF) in the International Peace Maternity and Child Health Hospital (IPMCHH) from September 2018 to November 2019. A total of 147 children (with 118 born after FET and 29 conceived naturally) was included for biochemical examination and metabolomics analysis.
Participants/materials, setting, methods
The peripheral venous blood of 147 children aged 1.5 - 4 years (with 118 born after FET and 29 conceived naturally) was drawn in the fasting state (>8h). FBG was measured using a glucometer, plasma concentrations of TC,TG, HDL , LDL were measured by chemistry analyzer, commercial ELISA kits were used for the measurment of Apolipoprotein, insulin, leptin, CRP,FT3, FT4, and TSH. Metabolomic analysis was performed on an UPLC-MS/MS system against 210 metabolites.
Main results and the role of chance
The results of present study revealed that the chidren conceived from FET have different metabolite profile than the naturally conceived children. Except for the higher BMI of chidren from FET group, ApoE and insulin were found respectivedly higher and lower in chidren from FET group than in NC group. As for metabolomic analysis,small metabolities which reflect intestinal fermentation such as second bile acid and short chain fatty acids was significantly higher in children conceived from FET; unsaturated fatty acids which are crucial for neurodevelopment was significanty lower in FET group.
Limitations, reasons for caution
Firstly, due to the small sample size, larger sample size and a longer follow-up period will be needed to observe the long-term metabolic profile and neurobehavioral performance of offspring conceived from FET. Secondly, we did not rule out other factors that may have influence on the metabolism of children.
Wider implications of the findings
To our knowledged, we demenstrated the metabolic profile of chidren born after FET in early childhood by metabolomic analysis for the first time.The fast insulin level was significant decreased in FET group than NC group, which is opposes to previous findings.

Abstract
Onobrychis viciifolia (sainfoin) is one of the most high-quality legume forages, which is rich in proanthocyanidins that is beneficial for the health and production of animals. In this study, proanthocyanidins and total flavonoids in leaves of 46 different sainfoin germplasm resources were evaluated, and it showed that soluble proanthocyanidin contents varied greatly in these sainfoin germplasm resources, but total flavonoids did not show significant difference. Transcriptome sequencing with high and low proanthocyanidins sainfoin resulted in the identification of totally 52,926 unigenes in sainfoin, and they were classed into different GOC categories. Among them, 1,608 unigenes were differentially expressed in high and low proanthocyanidins sainfoin samples, including 1,160 genes that were upregulated and 448 genes that were downregulated. Analysis on gene enrichment via KEGG annotation revealed that the differentially expressed genes were mainly enriched in the phenylpropanoid biosynthetic pathway and the secondary metabolism pathway. We also analyzed the expression levels of structural genes of the proanthocyanidin/flavonoid pathway in roots, stems, and leaves in the high proanthocyanidin sainfoin via RT-qPCR and found that these genes were differentially expressed in these tissues. Among them, the expression levels of F3'5'H and ANR were higher in leaves than in roots or stems, which is consistent with proanthocyanidins content in these tissues. Among MYB genes that were differentially expressed, the expression of OvMYBPA2 was relatively high in high proanthocyanidin sainfoin. Over-expression level of OvMYBPA2 in alfalfa hairy roots resulted in decreased anthocyanin content but increased proanthocyanidin content. Our study provided transcriptome information for further functional characterization of proanthocyanidin biosynthesis-related genes in sainfoin and candidate key MYB genes for bioengineering of proanthocyanidins in plants.

Abstract
The isomer depletion of ^{93m}Mo was recently reported [Chiara et al., Nature (London) 554, 216 (2018)NATUAS0028-083610.1038/nature25483] as the first direct observation of nuclear excitation by electron capture (NEEC). However, the measured excitation probability of 1.0(3)% is far beyond the theoretical expectation. In order to understand the inconsistency between theory and experiment, we produce the ^{93m}Mo nuclei using the ^{12}C(^{86}Kr,5n) reaction at a beam energy of 559 MeV and transport the reaction residues to a detection station far away from the target area employing a secondary beam line. The isomer depletion is expected to occur during the slowdown process of the ions in the stopping material. In such a low γ-ray background environment, the signature of isomer depletion is not observed, and an upper limit of 2×10^{-5} is estimated for the excitation probability. This is consistent with the theoretical expectation. Our findings shed doubt on the previously reported NEEC phenomenon and highlight the necessity and feasibility of further experimental investigations for reexamining the isomer depletion under low γ-ray background.

Abstract
Purpose. Patient motion artifacts present a prevalent challenge to image quality in interventional cone-beam CT (CBCT). We propose a novel reference-free similarity metric (DL-VIF) that leverages the capability of deep convolutional neural networks (CNN) to learn features associated with motion artifacts within realistic anatomical features. DL-VIF aims to address shortcomings of conventional metrics of motion-induced image quality degradation that favor characteristics associated with motion-free images, such as sharpness or piecewise constancy, but lack any awareness of the underlying anatomy, potentially promoting images depicting unrealistic image content. DL-VIF was integrated in an autofocus motion compensation framework to test its performance for motion estimation in interventional CBCT.Methods. DL-VIF is a reference-free surrogate for the previously reported visual image fidelity (VIF) metric, computed against a motion-free reference, generated using a CNN trained using simulated motion-corrupted and motion-free CBCT data. Relatively shallow (2-ResBlock) and deep (3-Resblock) CNN architectures were trained and tested to assess sensitivity to motion artifacts and generalizability to unseen anatomy and motion patterns. DL-VIF was integrated into an autofocus framework for rigid motion compensation in head/brain CBCT and assessed in simulation and cadaver studies in comparison to a conventional gradient entropy metric.Results. The 2-ResBlock architecture better reflected motion severity and extrapolated to unseen data, whereas 3-ResBlock was found more susceptible to overfitting, limiting its generalizability to unseen scenarios. DL-VIF outperformed gradient entropy in simulation studies yielding average multi-resolution structural similarity index (SSIM) improvement over uncompensated image of 0.068 and 0.034, respectively, referenced to motion-free images. DL-VIF was also more robust in motion compensation, evidenced by reduced variance in SSIM for various motion patterns (σDL-VIF = 0.008 versusσgradient entropy = 0.019). Similarly, in cadaver studies, DL-VIF demonstrated superior motion compensation compared to gradient entropy (an average SSIM improvement of 0.043 (5%) versus little improvement and even degradation in SSIM, respectively) and visually improved image quality even in severely motion-corrupted images.Conclusion: The studies demonstrated the feasibility of building reference-free similarity metrics for quantification of motion-induced image quality degradation and distortion of anatomical structures in CBCT. DL-VIF provides a reliable surrogate for motion severity, penalizes unrealistic distortions, and presents a valuable new objective function for autofocus motion compensation in CBCT.

Abstract
Background COVID-19 disproportionately impacted patients with cancer as a result of direct infection, and delays in diagnosis and therapy. Oncological clinical trials are resource-intensive endeavors that could be particularly susceptible to disruption by the pandemic, but few studies have evaluated the impact of the pandemic on clinical trial conduct. Patients and methods This prospective, multicenter study assesses the impact of the pandemic on therapeutic clinical trials at two large academic centers in the Northeastern United States between December 2019 and June 2021. The primary objective was to assess the enrollment on, accrual to, and activation of oncology therapeutic clinical trials during the pandemic using an institution-wide cohort of (i) new patient accruals to oncological trials, (ii) a manually curated cohort of patients with cancer, and (ii) a dataset of new trial activations. Results The institution-wide cohort included 4756 new patients enrolled to clinical trials from December 2019 to June 2021. A major decrease in the numbers of new patient accruals (−46%) was seen early in the pandemic, followed by a progressive recovery and return to higher-than-normal levels (+2.6%). A similar pattern (from −23.6% to +30.4%) was observed among 467 newly activated trials from June 2019 to June 2021. A more pronounced decline in new accruals was seen among academically sponsored trials (versus industry sponsored trials) (P < 0.05). In the manually curated cohort, which included 2361 patients with cancer, non-white patients tended to be more likely taken off trial in the early pandemic period (adjusted odds ratio: 2.60; 95% confidence interval 1.00-6.63), and substantial pandemic-related deviations were recorded. Conclusions Substantial disruptions in clinical trial activities were observed early during the pandemic, with a gradual recovery during ensuing time periods, both from an enrollment and an activation standpoint. The observed decline was more prominent among academically sponsored trials, and racial disparities were seen among people taken off trial.

Abstract
Cone-beam CT (CBCT) is widely used for guidance in interventional radiology but it is susceptible to motion artifacts. Motion in interventional CBCT features a complex combination of diverse sources including quasi-periodic, consistent motion patterns such as respiratory motion, and aperiodic, quasi-random, motion such as peristalsis. Recent developments in image-based motion compensation methods include approaches that combine autofocus techniques with deep learning models for extraction of image features pertinent to CBCT motion. Training of such deep autofocus models requires the generation of large amounts of realistic, motion-corrupted CBCT. Previous works on motion simulation were mostly focused on quasi-periodic motion patterns, and reliable simulation of complex combined motion with quasi-random components remains an unaddressed challenge. This work presents a framework aimed at synthesis of realistic motion trajectories for simulation of deformable motion in soft-tissue CBCT. The approach leveraged the capability of conditional generative adversarial network (GAN) models to learn the complex underlying motion present in unlabeled, motion-corrupted, CBCT volumes. The approach is designed for training with unpaired clinical CBCT in an unsupervised fashion. This work presents a first feasibility study, in which the model was trained with simulated data featuring known motion, providing a controlled scenario for validation of the proposed approach prior to extension to clinical data. Our proof-of-concept study illustrated the potential of the model to generate realistic, variable simulation of CBCT deformable motion fields, consistent with three trends underlying the designed training data: i) the synthetic motion induced only diffeomorphic deformations - with Jacobian Determinant larger than zero; ii) the synthetic motion showed median displacement of 0. 5 mm in regions predominantly static in the training (e.g., the posterior aspect of the patient laying supine), compared to a median displacement of 3.8 mm in regions more prone to motion in the training; and iii) the synthetic motion exhibited predominant directionality consistent with the training set, resulting in larger motion in the superior-inferior direction (median and maximum amplitude of 4.58 mm and 20 mm, > 2x larger than the two remaining direction). Together, the proposed framework shows the feasibility for realistic motion simulation and synthesis of variable CBCT data.

Abstract
BackgroundTreat-to-target (T2T) strategy has been the core of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) management for over a decade, however implemented distinctly varied in real practices.ObjectivesWe tried to investigate the differences in disease activity and target achievement of two cohorts with different T2T implementations.MethodsWe used data of the CENTRA (Collaboratively intENsive Treat-to-target in RA) and TARRA (Treat-to-TARget in RA) cohorts. The CENTRA is a RA cohort prospectively follow-up by a fixed team with tight control, while the TARRA is a longitudinal observational cohort follow-up by a rheumatologist with casual control. Patients from two cohorts were matched 1:3 by propensity score matching (PSM). The primary outcome was simplified disease activity index (SDAI) at 1-year follow-up.Results102 patients from the CENTRA cohort and 271 patients from the TARRA cohort were included. Both groups were comparable in terms of age, gender, disease course, and seropositivity. At the end of 1 year follow-up, the SDAI of patients in the CENTRA cohort was significantly lower than that of patients in the TARRA cohort (2.1 vs 3.4, p<0.001). The follow-up interval of patients in the CENTRA cohort was significantly shorter than that in the TARRA cohort when patients have not achieved remission (3.1 vs. 3.3 months, p=0.019).ConclusionRA patients may benefit more from a tight control T2T strategy with closer follow-up and appropriate education compared with a casual T2T strategy.Disclosure of InterestsNone declared

Abstract
BackgroundOsteoporosis is a common comorbidity of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Although RA disease activity has been demonstrated to be associated with bone loss in previous studies, most of them were cross-sectional studies and not in the context of treat-to-target (T2T) strategies.ObjectivesTo evaluate the association of disease activity with bone mineral density (BMD) changes in the context of T2T strategies in a prospective RA cohort.MethodsRA patients were enrolled from a prospective CENTRA cohort of Peking University First Hospital. BMD was repeated at baseline, 1-year and then every other year. Time-adjusted mean disease activity scores were adopted to reflect the overall disease activity during follow-up. The influence of univariable associations between predictors and BMD was investigated using linear regression.ResultsA total of 268 patients were included in our analysis. Their mean age was 50 (12.9) years old. At enrollment, the mean (SD) DAS28-ESR was 3.70 (1.17), and the median (IQR) CDAI and SDIA was 10 (14.45) and 10.30 (16.53), respectively. Osteoporosis at lumbar spine was observed in 23.1% patients and 9.3% at femoral neck at enrollment. Older age, higher SDAI score and lower BMI were found to be associated with osteoporosis at baseline. Reevaluations of BMD at 1 year was applied in 144 patients. Mean decreases of BMDs were 1.75 % at the lumbar spine and 1.40 % at femoral neck at 1 year form baseline, respectively. Patients who achieved remission had less yearly bone loss at lumbar spine (p=0.036). Female gender was identified as a risk factor in the multiple linear regression analyses, and lower disease activity and bisphosphonates were protective factors of continuous bone loss.ConclusionDisease activity is associated with bone loss in RA patients in the context of T2T strategies, and those who achieved remission had less yearly bone loss.Disclosure of InterestsNone declared

Abstract
Deformable motion is one of the main challenges to image quality in interventional cone beam CT (CBCT). Autofocus methods have been successfully applied for deformable motion compensation in CBCT, using multi-region joint optimization approaches that leverage the moderately smooth spatial variation motion of the deformable motion field with a local neighborhood. However, conventional autofocus metrics enforce images featuring sharp image-appearance, but do not guarantee the preservation of anatomical structures. Our previous work (DL-VIF) showed that deep convolutional neural networks (CNNs) can reproduce metrics of structural similarity (visual information fidelity - VIF), removing the need for a matched motion-free reference, and providing quantification of motion degradation and structural integrity. Application of DL-VIF within local neighborhoods is challenged by the large variability of local image content across a CBCT volume, and requires global context information for successful evaluation of motion effects. In this work, we propose a novel deep autofocus metric, based on a context-aware, multi-resolution, deep CNN design. In addition to the inclusion of contextual information, the resulting metric generates a voxel-wise distribution of reference-free VIF values. The new metric, denoted CADL-VIF, was trained on simulated CBCT abdomen scans with deformable motion at random locations and with amplitude up to 30 mm. The CADL-VIF achieved good correlation with the ground truth VIF map across all test cases with R2 = 0.843 and slope = 0.941. When integrated into a multi-ROI deformable motion compensation method, CADL-VIF consistently reduced motion artifacts, yielding an average increase in SSIM of 0.129 in regions with severe motion and 0.113 in regions with mild motion. This work demonstrated the capability of CADL-VIF to recognize anatomical structures and penalize unrealistic images, which is a key step in developing reliable autofocus for complex deformable motion compensation in CBCT.

Abstract
We report cumulants of the proton multiplicity distribution from dedicated fixed-target Au+Au collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=3.0 GeV, measured by the STAR experiment in the kinematic acceptance of rapidity (y) and transverse momentum (p_{T}) within -0.5<y<0 and 0.4<p_{T}<2.0 GeV/c. In the most central 0%-5% collisions, a proton cumulant ratio is measured to be C_{4}/C_{2}=-0.85±0.09 (stat)±0.82 (syst), which is 2σ below the Poisson baseline with respect to both the statistical and systematic uncertainties. The hadronic transport UrQMD model reproduces our C_{4}/C_{2} in the measured acceptance. Compared to higher energy results and the transport model calculations, the suppression in C_{4}/C_{2} is consistent with fluctuations driven by baryon number conservation and indicates an energy regime dominated by hadronic interactions. These data imply that the QCD critical region, if created in heavy-ion collisions, could only exist at energies higher than 3 GeV.

Abstract
We report precision measurements of hypernuclei _{Λ}^{3}H and _{Λ}^{4}H lifetimes obtained from Au+Au collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=3.0 GeV and 7.2 GeV collected by the STAR experiment at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider, and the first measurement of _{Λ}^{3}H and _{Λ}^{4}H midrapidity yields in Au+Au collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=3.0 GeV. _{Λ}^{3}H and _{Λ}^{4}H, being the two simplest bound states composed of hyperons and nucleons, are cornerstones in the field of hypernuclear physics. Their lifetimes are measured to be 221±15(stat)±19(syst) ps for _{Λ}^{3}H and 218±6(stat)±13(syst) ps for _{Λ}^{4}H. The p_{T}-integrated yields of _{Λ}^{3}H and _{Λ}^{4}H are presented in different centrality and rapidity intervals. It is observed that the shape of the rapidity distribution of _{Λ}^{4}H is different for 0%-10% and 10%-50% centrality collisions. Thermal model calculations, using the canonical ensemble for strangeness, describes the _{Λ}^{3}H yield well, while underestimating the _{Λ}^{4}H yield. Transport models, combining baryonic mean-field and coalescence (jam) or utilizing dynamical cluster formation via baryonic interactions (phqmd) for light nuclei and hypernuclei production, approximately describe the measured _{Λ}^{3}H and _{Λ}^{4}H yields. Our measurements provide means to precisely assess our understanding of the fundamental baryonic interactions with strange quarks, which can impact our understanding of more complicated systems involving hyperons, such as the interior of neutron stars or exotic hypernuclei.

Abstract
Objective: To detect the expression levels of M1-type polarization and autophagy-related indicators in the liver of trichloroethylene (TCE) -sensitized mice, and to explore the role of liver tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and tumor necrosis factor receptor 1 (TNFR1) in regulating M1-type Kupffer cells autophagy in liver injury in TCE-sensitized mice. Methods: In November 2019, according to simple random grouping, 45 SPF grade BALB/c female mice (6-8 weeks old) were divided into 4 groups: blank control group (n=5) , solvent control group (n=5) , TCE treatment group (n=18) , TCE+R7050 (inhibitor) treatment group (n=17) . Transdermally sensitized mice, 24 h after the last challenge, the mice were divided into TCE sensitized group and TCE non-sensitized group according to the skin reaction score. The livers of mice were harvested, and the pathological changes of the livers were observed under light and electron microscopes. Western blotting was used to detect the expressions of TNF-α, TNFR1 and autophagy-related indexes. The expression of inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) , a marker of M1-type Kupffer cells, was detected by immunohistochemistry, and the occurrence of autophagy in M1-type Kupffer cells was detected by immunofluorescence double-labeling method. Results: The sensitization rate of TCE treatment group was 38.9% (7/18) , and TCE+R7050 treatment group was 35.3% (6/17) , with no significant difference between the two groups (P=1.000) . Compared with the blank control group, mice in the TCE sensitized group had abnormal liver ocytes, obvious liver injury, reduced mitochondria and broken endoplasmic reticulum. Western blotting results showed that the expressions of TNF-α and TNFR1 protein in the liver of the mice in the TCE sensitized group increased, the expression of iNOS protein in M1-type Kupffer cells increased, and the expressions of autophagic microtubule-associated protein 1 light-chain 3 (LC3B) and Beclin1 protein were decreased (P<0.05) . The results of immunohistochemistry showed that iNOS was not significantly expressed in the blank control group and solvent control group, and a small amount of expression was found in the TCE non-sensitized group, the positive staining area was obvious in TCE sensitized group, and the expression of iNOS was significantly increased (P<0.05) . Immunofluorescence results showed that the iNOS protein levels in the blank control group, solvent control group and TCE non-sensitized group were lower, and only partially colocalized with P62; the colocalization of iNOS with P62 in the TCE sensitized group was significantly increased. Conclusion: TNF-α/TNFR1 signaling pathway may promote liver injury in TCE-sensitized mice by inhibiting autophagy of M1-type Kupffer cells.

Abstract
ObjectivesTo characterize two plasmids co-harboring carbapenem resistance genes and tmexCD2-toprJ2 in carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae (CRKP) strains.MethodsTwo clinical CRKP strains were isolated and characterized by antimicrobial susceptibility testing, conjugation assays, whole-genome sequencing, and bioinformatics analysis.ResultsThe two CRKP strains NB4 and NB5 were both resistant to imipenem, meropenem and tigecycline. Whole-genome sequencing revealed that two CRKP strains belonged to the ST11 type and carried multiple resistance genes. The tmexCD2-toprJ2 clusters in both strains were located on the IncFIB(Mar)-like/HI1B-like group of hybrid plasmids, which co-harbored the metallo-β-lactamase gene blaNDM-1. In addition, the co-existence of blaNDM-1 and blaKPC-2 and the presence of tmexCD2-toprJ2 in CRKP strain NB5 was observed.ConclusionsIn this study, tmexCD2-toprJ2 gene clusters were identified in two NDM-1-producing CRKP ST11 strains. These gene clusters will likely spread into clinical high-risk CRKP clones and exacerbate the antimicrobial resistance crisis. In addition, we detected the co-occurrence of blaNDM-1, blaKPC-2 and tmexCD2-toprJ2 in a single strain, which will undoubtedly accelerate the formation of a “superdrug resistant” bacteria. Hence, effective control measures should be implemented to prevent the further dissemination of such organisms in clinical settings.

Based on the data of 17 780 and 13 382 residents in the cross-sectional surveys of the " National Demonstration Area for Comprehensive Prevention and Control of Chronic Diseases " project in Chongchuan District of Nantong City, Jiangsu Province in 2012 and 2018, 4 583 and 3 996 DM-related information were obtained. The population of Jiangsu Province in 2012 and 2018 was used as the reference for standardization. The rates of prevalence and management (including awareness, treatment, treatment of patients who knew their diabetic situation, control and control of patients under treatment) of DM in the two surveys were compared using chi-square test. The results showed that in 2012 and 2018, the prevalence rates of DM were 12.0% and 15.7% (χ²=24.25, P<0.05), and the standardized rates were 10.1% and 10.8% (χ²=1.05, P=0.306). The incidence rates were 5.7% and 2.3%, respectively (χ²=55.60, P<0.05). The standardized prevalence rates in the two surveys were 9.7% and 11.6% for males (χ²=3.66, P=0.056) and 10.5% and 9.9% for females (χ²=0.50, P=0.481), 7.2% and 6.5% (χ²=0.85, P=0.357) for people aged 18-59 years old and 20.6% and 21.9% (χ²=0.91, P=0.339) for people aged 60 years and over, respectively. The standardized rates of awareness, treatment, treatment of patients who knew their diabetic situation, control, and control of patients under treatment in 2018 were 84.4%, 80.3%, 95.2%, 58.4%, and 70.2%, respectively, higher than 47.2%, 23.4%, 44.8%, 30.4% and 59.4% in 2012 (χ²=183.33, χ²=380.65, χ²=282.99, χ²=93.24, χ²=6.22, all P<0.05). Among men, the standardized rates of awareness, treatment, treatment of patients who knew their diabetic situation, and control in 2018 were 85.8%, 78.8%, 91.8% and 62.7%, higher than 50.5%, 37.5%, 72.3% and 32.6% in 2012 (χ²=78.40, χ²=96.17, χ²=27.55, χ²=48.96, all P<0.05). Similarly, the standardized management rates in 2018 were 83.0%, 81.7%, 98.5%, 54.1% and 65.1%, higher than 44.0%, 10.0%, 18.3%, 28.2% and 48.8% in 2012 among women (χ²=105.52, χ²=326.36, χ²=317.22, χ²=43.34, χ²=3.87, all P<0.05). The standardized rates of awareness, treatment, treatment of patients who knew their diabetic situation, and control of people aged 18-59 and 60 years and over were 82.9%, 79.7%, 96.1%, 55.0% and 88.0%, 81.8%, 93.0% and 67.2%, higher than 42.6%, 19.8%, 42.2%, 27.5% and 63.9%, 36.8%, 53.9%, 40.8% in 2012 (χ²=44.51, χ²=102.17, χ²=57.78, χ²=21.65, all P<0.05; χ²=71.18, χ²=181.55, χ²=146.26, χ²=59.23, all P<0.05). The comprehensive prevention and control system of chronic diseases, which comprehensively covered the life of community residents, had good management effect on DM, and effectively promoted health education and health promotion.

Abstract
We report results from a study of the crystal and magnetic structures of strontium-doped BiFeO3using neutron powder diffraction and the Rietveld method. Measurements were obtained over a wide range of temperatures from 300-800 K for compositions between 10%-16% replacement of bismuth by strontium. The results show a clear variation of the two main structural deformations-symmetry-breaking rotations of the FeO6octahedra and polar ionic displacements that give ferroelectricity-with chemical composition, but relatively little variation with temperature. On the other hand, the antiferromagnetic order shows a variation with temperature and a second-order phase transition consistent with the classical Heisenberg model. There is, however, very little variation in the behaviour of the antiferromagnetism with chemical composition, and hence with the degree of the structural symmetry-breaking distortions. We therefore conclude that there is no significant coupling between antiferromagnetism and ferroelectricity in Sr-doped BiFeO3and, by extension, in pure BiFeO3.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the mechanism of reactive oxygen species/thioredoxin-interacting protein/nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain-like receptor 3 (ROS/TXNIP/NLRP3) pathway in the skin injury of trichloroethylene (TCE) sensitized mice. Methods: In August 2020, 40 female BALB/c mice were randomly divided into control group (n=5) , solvent control group (n=5) , TCE treatment group (n=15) and TCE+(2-(2, 2, 6, 6-Tetrameyhylpiperidin-1-oxyl-4-ylamino)-2-oxoethyl) triphenylphosphonium chloride (Mito TEMPO) treatment group (n=15) . The TCE sensitization model was established. Mice in the TCE treatment group and TCE+Mito TEMPO treatment group were divided into the sensitized positive group and the sensitized negative group according to the skin erythema and edema reactions on the back of the mice 24 h after the last stimulation. The mice were sacrificed 72 h after the last stimulation, the back skin of the mice was taken, and the skin lesions were observed. Immunohistochemistry (IHC) was used to detect the expression level of NLRP3, and the Western Blot was performed to detect the expression levels of NLRP3, apoptosis-associated speck-like protein containing a CARD (ASC) , cysteinyl aspartate specific proteinase 1 (Caspase 1) , Interleukin-1β (IL-1β) and TXNIP proteins in the skin of the mice, the reactive oxygen species (ROS) kit was used to detect the level of intracellular ROS in the back skin tissue. Results: The sensitization rates of TCE treatment group and TCE+Mito TEMPO treatment group were 40.0% (6/15) and 33.3% (5/15) , respectively, and there was no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05) . The back skin of the mice in the TCE sensitized positive group was thickened and infiltrated by a large number of inflammatory cells. The number of mitochondria in the epidermis cells was significantly reduced, the mitochondrial crest disappeared and vacuolar degeneration occurred. TCE+Mito TEMPO sensitized positive group had less damage, more mitochondria and relatively normal cell structure. Compared with the solvent control group and corresponding sensitized negative groups, the expression levels of NLRP3, ASC, Caspase 1, IL-1β, TXNIP proteins and the content of ROS in the TCE sensitized positive group and TCE+Mito TEMPO sensitized positive group were significantly increased (P<0.05) . Compared with TCE sensitized positive group, the expression levels of NLRP3, ASC, Caspase 1, IL-1β, TXNIP proteins and the content of ROS in the TCE+Mito TEMPO sensitized positive group were significantly decreased (P<0.05) . Conclusion: ROS/TXNIP/NLRP3 pathway was activated and then encouraged the release of IL-1β, finally aggravated the TCE-induced skin injury.

Abstract
The angular dependance of the transverse Raman scattering in potassium dihydrogen phosphate (KDP) and its deuterated analogue (DKDP) for the entire range of crystal configurations suitable for laser beam polarization control has been investigated via experimental and modeling tools. This work was made possible by simultaneously rotating a spherical sample and the pump polarization to effectively measure the angular dependance of the transverse Raman signal in 360°. This novel method, which is applicable for the investigation of the Raman scattering in optically anisotropic materials, demonstrates that the spontaneous Raman scattering signal exhibits strong angular dependence that is modulated by depolarization and polarization rotation effects generated as the Raman signal traverses the material due to its birefringence. The results show that the total signal generated by the pump beam is the sum of the signals generated by the two components that have polarization parallel and orthogonal to the optic axis. The peak signal intensity, which is of importance for high-power laser applications, depends on the orientation of the optic axis and can vary by a factor of about 2. The excellent agreement between experimental data and modeling results validates the associated models and enables one to consider optimal crystal cut designs for specific applications.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the epidemiological characteristics of Yersinia enterocolitica in patients with diarrhea in Pudong New Area, Shanghai. Methods: Active surveillance of diarrhea was conducted in 14 sentinel hospitals (three tertiary-level hospitals, nine secondary-level hospitals, and two primary-level hospitals) from January 2013 to December 2019 in Pudong New Area of Shanghai, China base on their location, catchment area, and patient volume. Cold enrichment method was used to isolate Y. enterocolitica and further detection of bioserotype, virulence genes and antimicrobial susceptibility of the isolates were conducted. The difference of rates was determined using chi-square test or Fisher's exact test. Results: A total of 12 941 diarrhea cases were included, and 0.7% (88/12 941) cases were confirmed with Yersinia enterocolitica infection. 67.0% (59/88) cases were single infection, 33.0% (29/88) cases were mixed infections. Detection rates of Y. enterocolitica increased annually (0.3%-1.2%) and were highest in children<5 years of age (1.1%, 37/3 218) and in spring (1.1%, 32/2 998) (χ2 were 18.64 and 9.76, respectively, P<0.05). 58.0% (51/88) cases had watery diarrhea, 15.9% (14/88) had fever and 14.8% (13/88) had vomiting. The predominant bioserotypes were 3/O:3 (53.4%, 47/88), followed by 1A/O:8 (15.9%, 14/88) and 1A/O:5(6.8%, 6/88), respectively. Bioserotype 3/O:3 counted for the highest proportions (89.2%, 33/37) in children <5 years of age. All the strains of bioserotype 3/O:3 harbored ail, ystA, yadA and virF genes, which encoded pathogenic Y. enterocolitica. 11/14 strain of 1A/O:8 and 4/6 strains of 1A/O:5 harbored ystB gene. Most strains were resistant to ampicillin (80.7%,71/88) and amoxicillin/clavulanic acid (71.6%,63/88), and 63.8% (56/88) strains were multidrug resistance (MDR). The difference of antimicrobial resistance rates between 3/O:3 and non 3/O:3 was statistically significant in ampicillin, cefoxitin, nalidixic acid, tetracycline and ampicillin/sulbactam (χ2 was 14.68, 43.80, 41.86, 30.54 and 5.07, respectively, P<0.05). Conclusion: The detection rate of Yersinia enterocolitica was higher in children than in adults in Pudong New Area, Shanghai. The predominant bioserotype was pathogenic 3/O:3 with multidrug resistance.

Abstract
Over the past few decades, neuroimaging has become a ubiquitous tool in basic research and clinical studies of the human brain. However, no reference standards currently exist to quantify individual differences in neuroimaging metrics over time, in contrast to growth charts for anthropometric traits such as height and weight1. Here we assemble an interactive open resource to benchmark brain morphology derived from any current or future sample of MRI data ( http://www.brainchart.io/ ). With the goal of basing these reference charts on the largest and most inclusive dataset available, acknowledging limitations due to known biases of MRI studies relative to the diversity of the global population, we aggregated 123,984 MRI scans, across more than 100 primary studies, from 101,457 human participants between 115 days post-conception to 100 years of age. MRI metrics were quantified by centile scores, relative to non-linear trajectories2 of brain structural changes, and rates of change, over the lifespan. Brain charts identified previously unreported neurodevelopmental milestones3, showed high stability of individuals across longitudinal assessments, and demonstrated robustness to technical and methodological differences between primary studies. Centile scores showed increased heritability compared with non-centiled MRI phenotypes, and provided a standardized measure of atypical brain structure that revealed patterns of neuroanatomical variation across neurological and psychiatric disorders. In summary, brain charts are an essential step towards robust quantification of individual variation benchmarked to normative trajectories in multiple, commonly used neuroimaging phenotypes.

Abstract
The Atmospheric River (AR) Tracking Method Intercomparison Project (ARTMIP) is a community effort to systematically assess how the uncertainties from AR detectors (ARDTs) impact our scientific understanding of ARs. This study describes the ARTMIP Tier 2 experimental design and initial results using the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project (CMIP) Phases 5 and 6 multi-model ensembles. We show that AR statistics from a given ARDT in CMIP5/6 historical simulations compare remarkably well with the MERRA-2 reanalysis. In CMIP5/6 future simulations, most ARDTs project a global increase in AR frequency, counts, and sizes, especially along the western coastlines of the Pacific and Atlantic oceans. We find that the choice of ARDT is the dominant contributor to the uncertainty in projected AR frequency when compared with model choice. These results imply that new projects investigating future changes in ARs should explicitly consider ARDT uncertainty as a core part of the experimental design.

Abstract
Understanding gluon density distributions and how they are modified in nuclei are among the most important goals in nuclear physics. In recent years, diffractive vector meson production measured in ultraperipheral collisions (UPCs) at heavy-ion colliders has provided a new tool for probing the gluon density. In this Letter, we report the first measurement of J/ψ photoproduction off the deuteron in UPCs at the center-of-mass energy sqrt[s_{NN}]=200 GeV in d+Au collisions. The differential cross section as a function of momentum transfer -t is measured. In addition, data with a neutron tagged in the deuteron-going zero-degree calorimeter is investigated for the first time, which is found to be consistent with the expectation of incoherent diffractive scattering at low momentum transfer. Theoretical predictions based on the color glass condensate saturation model and the leading twist approximation nuclear shadowing model are compared with the data quantitatively. A better agreement with the saturation model has been observed. With the current measurement, the results are found to be directly sensitive to the gluon density distribution of the deuteron and the deuteron breakup process, which provides insights into the nuclear gluonic structure.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the effects and mechanism of hydrogen peroxide (HP) pretreatment with low molarity on oxidative stress induced apoptosis of mouse bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs). Methods: The experimental research methods were used. BMSCs were isolated and cultured from two 2-week-old male BALB/c mice by the whole bone marrow culture method. The 3rd-7th passages of cells in logarithmic growth phase were used for the experiments after identification. According to the random number table (the same grouping method below), the cells were divided into 0 μmol/L HP group (without HP, the same below), 25 μmol/L HP group, 50 μmol/L HP group, 100 μmol/L HP group, 150 μmol/L HP group, 200 μmol/L HP group, 250 μmol/L HP group, and 300 μmol/L HP group in which cells were treated by the corresponding final molarity of HP, respectively. The apoptosis rate was detected by flow cytometry (n=4) after 24 hours of culture. The cells were divided into 0 μmol/L HP group, 25 μmol/L HP group, 50 μmol/L HP group, and 100 μmol/L HP group in which cells were treated by the corresponding final molarity of HP, respeclively. After 24 hours of culture, the protein expressions of B-lymphoma-2 (Bcl-2) and Bcl-2-related X protein (Bax) were detected by Western blotting, and the Bcl-2/Bax ratio was calculated (n=3). The cells were divided into 0 μmol/L HP group, 25 μmol/L HP group, 50 μmol/L HP group, 100 μmol/L HP group, 200 μmol/L HP group, and 300 μmol/L HP group in which cells were treated by the corresponding final molarity of HP, respectively. After 24 hours of culture, the protein expressions of glycogen synthase kinase-3β (GSK-3β) and phosphorylated GSK-3β (p-GSK-3β) were detected by Western blotting (n=3). The cells were divided into 0 μmol/L HP group, 50 μmol/L HP group, and 300 μmol/L HP group in which cells were treated by the corresponding final molarity of HP, respeclively, and HP pretreatment group with 50 μmol/L HP being added in advance for 12 h and then 300 μmol/L HP being added. After 24 hours of culture, the morphology and growth of cells were observed by inverted fluorescence microscopy (non-fluorescent condition) and immunofluorescence method, the apoptosis rate was detected by flow cytometry, the protein expressions of Bcl-2, Bax, cysteine aspartic acid specific protease-3 (caspase-3), caspase-9, cleavage caspase-3, cleavage caspase-9, GSK-3β, and p-GSK-3β were detected by Western blotting, and the Bcl-2/Bax ratio was calculated, with all the number of samples being 3. Data were statistically analyzed with one-way analysis of variance and Bonferroni test. Results: After 24 hours of culture, compared with that in 0 μmol/L HP group, the apoptosis rate of cells did not change significantly in 25 μmol/L HP group, 50 μmol/L HP group, or 100 μmol/L HP group (P>0.05) but increased significantly in 150 μmol/L HP group, 200 μmol/L HP group, 250 μmol/L HP group, and 300 μmol/L HP group (P<0.01). After 24 hours of culture, compared with that in 0 μmol/L HP group, the Bcl-2/Bax ratio of cells increased significantly in 25 μmol/L HP group and 50 μmol/L HP group (P<0.05 or P<0.01) but decreased significantly in 100 µmol/L HP group (P<0.05). After 24 hours of culture, compared with those in 0 μmol/L HP group, the protein expression of GSK-3β in cells showed no significant change in 25 μmol/L HP group and 50 μmol/L HP group (P>0.05), the protein expressions of p-GSK-3β in cells significantly increased in 25 μmol/L HP group and 50 μmol/L HP group (P<0.01), the protein expressions of GSK-3β and p-GSK-3β in cells in 100 μmol/L HP group showed no significant change (P>0.05), the protein expressions of GSK-3β in cells in 200 μmol/L HP group and 300 μmol/L HP group were significantly increased (P<0.05). but the protein expression of p-GSK-3β in cells in 200 μmol/L HP group and 300 μmol/L HP group was significantly decreased (P<0.05). After 24 hours of culture, the morphology and growth of cells in 0 μmol/L HP group and 50 μmol/L HP group were similar and normal; in contrast, the cells in 300 µmol/L HP group became smaller and round, with the cell protrusions being shorter or disappeared, the nucleus being cavitated, and the cell abscission being increased significantly; the morphology of most cells in HP pretreatment group was normal, with the shedding of cells being less than that in 300 µmol/L HP group, and the morphology of nucleus being normal. After 24 hours of culture, the protein expression of caspase-9 was similar among the four groups (P>0.05). Compared with that in 0 μmol/L HP group, the apoptosis rate and the protein expressions of cleavage caspase-9, caspase-3, and cleavage caspase-3 of cells in 50 μmol/L HP group showed no significant changes (P>0.05), the Bcl-2/Bax ratio of cells in 50 μmol/L HP group increased significantly (P<0.05), the apoptosis rate and the protein expressions of cleavage caspase-9, caspase-3, and cleavage caspase-3 of cells in 300 μmol/L HP group were significantly increased (P<0.01), while the Bcl-2/Bax ratio of cells in 300 μmol/L HP group was significantly decreased (P<0.05). Compared with those in 300 μmol/L HP group, the apoptosis rate and the protein expressions of cleavage caspase-9, caspase-3, and cleavage caspase-3 of cells were significantly decreased in HP pretreatment group (P<0.05 or P<0.01), while the Bcl-2/Bax ratio of cells was significantly increased in HP pretreatment group (P<0.01). After 24 hours of culture, the protein expressions of GSK-3β and p-GSK-3β of cells in 0 μmol/L HP group, 50 μmol/L HP group, 300 μmol/L HP group, and HP pretreatment group were 1.09±0.14, 0.62±0.17, 1.35±0.21, 0.74±0.34, 0.68±0.03, 0.85±0.08, 0.38±0.10, and 0.54±0.09, respectively. Compared with those in 0 μmol/L HP group, the protein expression of p-GSK-3β of cells was significantly increased in 50 μmol/L HP group (P<0.05) but significantly decreased in 300 μmol/L HP group (P<0.01), while the protein expression of GSK-3β of cells was significantly increased in 300 μmol/L HP group (P<0.05). Compared with those in 300 μmol/L HP group, the protein expression of GSK-3β of cells was significantly decreased in HP pretreatment group (P<0.01), while the protein expression of p-GSK-3β of cells was significantly increased in HP pretreatment group (P<0.01). Conclusions: The molarity of 50 μmol/L may be the optimal molarity of HP to pretreat mouse BMSCs, and 50 μmol/L HP pretreatment can antagonize mitochondrial pathway of oxidative stress induced apoptosis by inhibiting the activity of GSK-3β.

Abstract
The chiral magnetic effect (CME) refers to charge separation along a strong magnetic field due to imbalanced chirality of quarks in local parity and charge-parity violating domains in quantum chromodynamics. The experimental measurement of the charge separation is made difficult by the presence of a major background from elliptic azimuthal anisotropy. This background and the CME signal have different sensitivities to the spectator and participant planes, and could thus be determined by measurements with respect to these planes. We report such measurements in Au+Au collisions at a nucleon-nucleon center-of-mass energy of 200 GeV at the Relativistic Heavy-Ion Collider. It is found that the charge separation, with the flow background removed, is consistent with zero in peripheral (large impact parameter) collisions. Some indication of finite CME signals is seen in midcentral (intermediate impact parameter) collisions. Significant residual background effects may, however, still be present.

Abstract
Objective: To describe the clinical characteristics of sarcoidosis patients with arrhythmia as the primary or main manifestation. Methods: We conducted a retrospective analysis of arrhythmia-onset sarcoidosis cases between January 2017 and December 2020. Their clinical manifestations, radiological features, treatment and prognosis were reviewed and analyzed. Results: This study consisted of 3 females and 1 male, with a mean age of 51 years (range from 42 to 58 years old). Arrhythmia was the first or main clinical manifestation for all 4 cases, involving Ⅲ° atrioventricular block (AVB) (n=1), Ⅱ° type Ⅱ AVB (n=1), and frequent ventricular premature beats and short array ventricular tachycardia (n=2). Three cases were diagnosed with respiratory sarcoidosis simultaneously during the diagnostic evaluation for arrhythmia. One case was diagnosed with sarcoidosis because of abnormal chest CT images due to cervical lymph node enlargement 5 years after arrhythmia. All 4 cases were confirmed as presenting epithelioid cell granulomatous inflammation by bronchoscopic biopsies. Late gadolinium enhancement with cardiac magnetic resonance (LGE-CMR) imaging was arranged for two cases. Both of them had typical imaging findings of cardiac sarcoidosis. Three cases were confirmed of cardiac involvement through positron emission computed tomography (PET)-CT. None of the enrolled four cases were arranged with endomyocardial biopsy. All four cases were improved with oral corticosteroids, immunosuppressants and anti-arrhythmic medications. Two cases underwent cardiac pacemaker implantation. Conclusions: The possibility of cardiac sarcoidosis should be considered in middle-aged and elderly patients with unexplained high-degree AVB or ventricular arrhythmia. Chest CT is recommended for routine screening for those cases. LGE-CMR and/or PET-CT is recommended for them to confirm the diagnosis of cardiac sarcoidosis. Corticosteroids and immunosuppressants are effective for these patients.

Abstract
Bone defect caused by trauma, neoplasia, congenital defects, or periodontal disease is a major cause of disability and physical limitation. The transplantation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) promotes bone repair and regeneration. However, it has been shown that most BMSCs die within a short period after transplantation. During apoptosis, BMSCs generate a large number of apoptotic cell-derived extracellular vesicles (ApoEVs). This study aims to understand the potential role of ApoEVs in craniofacial bone defect repair and regeneration. First, we confirmed that BMSCs undergo apoptosis within 2 d after transplantation into the defect of the cranium. Abundant ApoEVs were generated from apoptotic BMSCs. Uptake of ApoEVs efficiently promoted the proliferation, migration, and osteogenic differentiation of recipient BMSCs in vitro. ApoEVs from cells in the middle stage of apoptosis were the most efficient to enhance the regenerative capacity of BMSCs. Moreover, a critical size bone defect model in rats was used to evaluate the osteogenic property of ApoEVs in vivo. Local transplantation of ApoEVs promoted bone regeneration in the calvarial defect. Mechanistically, ApoEVs promoted new bone formation by increasing intracellular reactive oxygen species to activate JNK signaling. This study reveals a previously unknown role of the dying transplanted BMSCs in promoting the viability of endogenous BMSCs and repairing the calvarial defects. Since it could avoid several adverse effects and limits of BMSC cytotherapy, treatment of ApoEVs might be a promising strategy in craniofacial bone repair and regeneration.

Abstract
Purpose Cone-beam CT has become commonplace for 3D guidance in interventional radiology (IR), especially for vascular procedures in which identification of small vascular structures is crucial. However, its long image acquisition time poses a limit to image quality due to soft-tissue deformable motion that hampers visibility of small vessels. Autofocus motion compensation has shown promising potential for soft-tissue deformable motion compensation, but it lacks specific target to the imaging task. This work presents an approach for deformable motion compensation targeted at imaging of vascular structures. Methods The proposed method consists on a two-stage framework for: i) identification of contrast-enhanced blood vessels in 2D projection data and delineation of an approximate region covering the vascular target in the volume space, and, ii) a novel autofocus approach including a metric designed to promote the presence of vascular structures acting solely in the region of interest. The vesselness of the image is quantified via evaluation of the properties of the 3D image Hessian, yielding a vesselness filter that gives larger values to voxels candidate to be part of a tubular structure. A cost metric is designed to promote large vesselness values and spatial sparsity, as expected in regions of fine vascularity. A targeted autofocus method was designed by combining the presented metric with a conventional autofocus term acting outside of the region of interest. The resulting method was evaluated on simulated data including synthetic vascularity merged with real anatomical features obtained from MDCT data. Further evaluation was obtained in two clinical datasets obtained during TACE procedures with a robotic C-arm (Artis Zeego, Siemens Healthineers). Results The targeted vascular autofocus effectively restored the shape and contrast of the contrast-enhanced vascularity in the simulation cases, resulting in improved visibility and reduced artifacts. Segmentations performed with a single threshold value on the target vascular regions yielded a net increase of up to 42% in DICE coefficient computed against the static reference. Motion compensation in clinical datasets resulted in improved visibility of vascular structures, observed in maximum intensity projections of the contrast-enhanced liver vessel tree. Conclusion Targeted motion compensation for vascular imaging showed promising performance for increased identification of small vascular structures in presence of motion. The development of autofocus metrics and methods tailored to vascular imaging opens the way for reliable compensation of deformable motion while preserving the integrity of anatomical structures in the image.

Abstract
Knowledge of the sound velocity of core materials is essential to explain the observed anomalously low shear wave velocity (VS) and high Poisson's ratio (σ) in the solid inner core. To date, neither VS nor σ of Fe and Fe-Si alloy have been measured under core conditions. Here, we present VS and σ derived from direct measurements of the compressional wave velocity, bulk sound velocity, and density of Fe and Fe-8.6 wt%Si up to ~230 GPa and ~5400 K. The new data show that neither the effect of temperature nor incorporation of Si would be sufficient to explain the observed low VS and high σ of the inner core. A possible solution would add carbon (C) into the solid inner core that could further decrease VS and increase σ. However, the physical property-based Fe-Si-C core models seemingly conflict with the partitioning behavior of Si and C between liquid and solid Fe.

Abstract
Neurotoxic methylmercury (MeHg) accumulates in rice grain from paddy soil, where its concentration is controlled by microbial mercury methylation and demethylation. Both up- and down-regulation of methylation is known to occur in the presence of rice plants in comparison to non-vegetated paddy soils; the influence of rice plant presence/absence on demethylation is unknown. To assess the concurrent influence of rice plant presence/absence on methylation and demethylation, and to determine which process was more dominant in controlling soil MeHg concentrations, we maintained six rhizoboxes of paddy soil with and without rice plants. At the peak of plant growth, we simultaneously measured ambient MeHg, ambient inorganic mercury (IHg), and potential rate constants of methylation and demethylation (Kmeth and Kdemeth) in soil using stable isotope tracers and ID-GC-ICPMS. We also measured organic matter content, elemental S, and water-extractable sulfate. We found MeHg concentrations were differentially controlled by MeHg production and degradation processes, depending on whether plants were present. In non-vegetated boxes, MeHg concentration was controlled by Kmeth, as evidenced by a strong and positive correlation, while Kdemeth had no relation to MeHg concentration. These results indicate methylation was the dominant driver of MeHg concentration in non-vegetated soil. In vegetated boxes, Kdemeth strongly and negatively predicted MeHg concentration, indicating that demethylation was the dominant control in soil with plants. MeHg concentration, Kmeth, and % MeHg all had significantly less variance in vegetated than in non-vegetated soils due to a consistent elimination of greater values. This pattern suggests that reduced MeHg production capacity was a secondary control on MeHg concentrations in vegetated soils. We observed no difference in the magnitude or variance of Kdemeth between treatments, suggesting that demethylation was robust to soil chemical conditions influenced by the plant, perhaps because of a wider taxonomic diversity of demethylators. Our results suggest that methylation and demethylation processes could both be leveraged to alter MeHg concentrations in rice paddy soil.

Abstract
Background The ability of end-tidal carbon dioxide (ΔEtCO2) for predicting fluid responsiveness has been extensively studied with conflicting results. This meta-analysis aimed to explore the value of ΔEtCO2 for predicting fluid responsiveness during the passive leg raising (PLR) test in patients with mechanical ventilation. Methods PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials were searched up to November 2021. The diagnostic odds ratio (DOR), sensitivity, and specificity were calculated. The summary receiver operating characteristic curve was estimated, and the area under the curve (AUROC) was calculated. Q test and I2 statistics were used for study heterogeneity and publication bias was assessed by Deeks’ funnel plot asymmetry test. We performed meta-regression analysis for heterogeneity exploration and sensitivity analysis for the publication bias. Results Overall, six studies including 298 patients were included in this review, of whom 149 (50%) were fluid responsive. The cutoff values of ΔEtCO2 in four studies was 5%, one was 5.8% and the other one was an absolute increase 2 mmHg. Heterogeneity between studies was assessed with an overall Q = 4.098, I2 = 51%, and P = 0.064. The pooled sensitivity and specificity for the overall population were 0.79 (95% CI 0.72–0.85) and 0.90 (95% CI 0.77–0.96), respectively. The DOR was 35 (95% CI 12–107). The pooled AUROC was 0.81 (95% CI 0.77–0.84). On meta-regression analysis, the number of patients was sources of heterogeneity. The sensitivity analysis showed that the pooled DOR ranged from 21 to 140 and the pooled AUC ranged from 0.92 to 0.96 when one study was omitted. Conclusions Though the limited number of studies included and study heterogeneity, our meta-analysis confirmed that the ΔEtCO2 performed moderately in predicting fluid responsiveness during the PLR test in patients with mechanical ventilation.

The year 2021 brought advances in our understanding of the real-world adoption of the antifibrotic medications pirfenidone and nintedanib for US idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis patients, the European statement on the diagnosis and evaluation and treatment of pulmonary fibrosis, the CHEST guideline on the diagnosis and evaluation of hypersensitivity pneumonitis, Chinese expert viewpoints on the progressive fibrosing interstitial lung disease, and international updates on the diagnosis and management of connective tissue disease-associated interstitial lung diseases.

Abstract
BACKGROUND AND AIMS Several studies have reported that variants in CYP2R1 have been linked with an increased risk of hypertension. However, the interaction between CYP2R1 variants and environmental factors on the susceptibility of hypertension remained unclear. Therefore, this study evaluated the influence of CYP2R1 polymorphisms on hypertension susceptibility, and explored the interaction effect of CYP2R1 variations and obesity on the disease. METHODS AND RESULTS We included 766 incident hypertension cases matched with non-hypertension controls in a 1:1 ratio by sex, age (within 3 years). Two loci in CYP2R1 gene (rs10766197 and rs12794714) were genotyped by TaqMan probe assays. The concentration of 25-hydroxyvitamin-D was determined by human enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kits. The associations of CYP2R1 polymorphisms and risks of vitamin D deficiency (VDD) were analyzed by logistic regression. Multifactor dimensionality reduction (MDR) was used to analyze the gene-environment interaction. Multiple logistic regression was used to examine the effect of CYP2R1 gene variations, and the interaction between CYP2R1 variation and obesity on hypertension susceptibility. The results showed that rs10766197 (GG vs. AA) and rs12794714 (GG vs. AA) polymorphisms were both associated with an increased risk of VDD (OR = 1.49, 95% confidence interval (CI) = 1.08-2.05 and OR = 1.63, 95% CI = 1.19-2.25, respectively), after adjustment for potential risk factors. We also found that rs12794714 polymorphism was significantly associated with elevated risk of hypertension under the dominant model (OR = 1.26, 95% CI = 1.01-1.56). In addition, the interactions between rs12794714 with both general obesity (OR = 3.93, 95% CI = 2.72-5.68) and central obesity (OR = 3.22, 95% CI = 2.29-4.52) have significant effects on hypertension susceptibility. CONCLUSIONS The study provided further evidence that CYP2R1 variation was associated with a higher risk of hypertension in Chinese rural population. The interaction between CYP2R1 rs12794714 and obesity may increase the risk of hypertension.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES Malnutrition is associated with increased incidence of heart failure (HF). Left ventricular (LV) remodeling is one of the most important processes in the occurrence and evolution of HF. However, the association between nutritional status and LV remodeling is not well known. The study aimed to investigate the association between malnutrition and LV remodeling. DESIGN The study was a retrospective observation study. SETTING AND PARTICIPANTS We included patients from the registry of Cardiorenal Improvement study from January 2007 to December 2018 at Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital. MEASUREMENTS The primary endpoint was LV remodeling, defined as an absolute decrease in LV ejection fraction ≥10% after discharge compared with baseline. Nutritional status was assessed by the Controlling Nutritional Status (CONUT) score. Eligible patients were divided into absent-mild malnutrition group (CONUT score ≤4) and moderate-severe malnutrition group (CONUT score >4). Univariable and multivariable logistic regression was performed to verify the association between malnutrition and left ventricular remodeling. RESULTS A total of 7,217 patients (mean age 61.3±10.5 years, 71.7% male) were included in the final analysis, among which 712 (9.9%) had LV remodeling. The incidence of LV remodeling in moderate-severe malnutrition group was significantly higher than that in absent-mild malnutrition group (12.9% vs. 9.5%, p=0.002). In multivariable logistic regression, moderate-severe malnutrition group was significantly associated with 1.69-fold increased risk of LV remodeling after adjusting confounders (OR: 1.69, CI: 1.32-2.16). Similar results were observed in subgroup stratified by age, gender, and coronary artery disease. CONCLUSION Nearly one eighth of patients were classified as moderate-severe malnutrition, 12% of whom had LV remodeling. Moderate-severe malnutrition was associated with 69% increased risk of LV remodeling. Further studies are needed to prospectively evaluate the nutrition-oriented managements on outcomes in LV remodeling.
