Abstract
OBJECTIVE The objective of our study is to investigate the impacts of telemedicine technology and its specific tools on physicians' overall satisfaction, quality of care, and percentage of patient visits in ambulatory care settings after the COVID-19 lockdowns. MATERIALS AND METHODS Data for our analysis was sourced from the 2021 annual National Electronic Health Records Survey (NEHRS), which included 1,875 complete questionnaire responses from physicians in the 2021 NEHRS. We used regression models to test the effects of telemedicine on physicians' overall satisfaction, quality of care, and percentage of patients' visits. RESULTS We report that telemedicine technology has significant positive effects on physicians' satisfaction with telemedicine and quality of care evaluation, both at an aggregate level and at the disaggregate levels of individual telemedicine features, and partially significant effects on patients' telemedicine visits. DISCUSSION Telemedicine features that contributed significantly to physician satisfaction and quality of care evaluation were telephone, videoconferencing, standalone telemedicine platform, and telemedicine platform integrated with EHR, while only telephone and integrated telemedicine platform contributed significantly to patients' telemedicine visits. CONCLUSION For telemedicine research and practice, this study confirms that telemedicine improves physician satisfaction and quality of care perceptions and will therefore be preferred by physicians. However, telemedicine has a mixed impact on percentage of patient visits, which suggests that providers may have to work harder to regularize telemedicine acceptance among patients in the post-COVID era.

Abstract
BACKGROUND In times of demographic change and an immense shortage of qualified personnel in emergency medical services, telemedicine could offer more efficient solutions for better care. Given the community-based nature of emergency services, local communities play an important role. This study explored the expectations of healthcare professionals and volunteers for telemedicine tools in prehospital emergency medicine. METHODS This mixed-methods study was conducted in the rural region of Burgenland in Austria with stakeholders of the local emergency medical service in two focus groups (13 participants) and 99 quantitative questionnaires. RESULTS Combining quantitative and qualitative data, we found that a majority of respondents (almost 80%) already experienced basic telemedicine and consider it valuable. In particular, there is a strong expectation for diagnostic support and inquiries related to potential hospitalization. Findings from two focus groups emphasized the importance of cultivating an improved learning culture, developing a specific mindset, and refining soft skills. The optimal telemedicine solution includes a knowledgeable and experienced tele-emergency physician coupled with user-friendly technology. CONCLUSION To be clear about the expectations of stakeholders, it is essential to involve all stakeholders right from the beginning. The solution should prioritize the integration of existing structures and be seamlessly incorporated into an evolving learning culture, while also fostering the necessary mindsets alongside educational aspects.

Abstract
This study investigates Romanian physicians' acceptance of telemedicine using the Technology Acceptance Model. We analyzed 1093 responses to an online survey distributed nationwide to physicians via email by the National Authority of Quality Management in Health, employing the partial least squares algorithm to estimate the relationship between the behavioral intention to adopt telemedicine and its potential determinants. Our findings reveal that the model accounts for 84.6% of the variance in behavioral intention to use telemedicine. Among the two constructs of the TAM model, perceived usefulness is a stronger predictor of behavioral intention than perceived ease of use. Additionally, subjective norms positively and significantly influence physicians' intention to use telemedicine and their perception of its usefulness. Furthermore, perceived incentives and accessibility to medical records also positively impact the behavioral intention to use telemedicine.

Abstract
Introduction The telehealth service increased attention both during and after the Covid-19 outbreak. Nevertheless, there is a dearth of research in developing countries, including Pakistan. Hence, the objective of this study was to examine telehealth service quality dimensions to promote the telehealth behavior intention and sustainable growth of telehealth in Pakistan. Methods This study employed a cross-sectional descriptive design. Data were collected from doctors who were delivering telehealth services through a well-designed questionnaire. To examine the hypothesis of the study, we employed the Smart PLS structural equation modeling program, namely version 0.4. Results The study findings indicate that medical service quality, affordability, information quality, waiting time, and safety have a positive impact on the intention to engage in telehealth behavior. Furthermore, the adoption of telehealth behavior has a significant favorable effect on the actual utilization of telehealth services, which in turn has a highly good impact on sustainable development. Conclusion The study determined that telehealth services effectively decrease the amount of time and money spent on travel, while still offering convenient access to healthcare. Furthermore, telehealth has the potential to revolutionize payment methods, infrastructure, and staffing in the healthcare industry. Implementing a well-structured telehealth service model can yield beneficial results for a nation and its regulatory efforts in the modern age of technology.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The COVID-19 pandemic contributed to an increase in teleconsultation adoption in the Polish primary health care system. It is expected that in the long run, teleconsultations will successfully replace a significant part of face-to-face visits. Therefore, a significant challenge facing primary health care facilities (PHCs) is the acceptance of teleconsultations by their users, especially physicians. OBJECTIVE This study aimed to explore physicians' acceptance of teleconsultations during the COVID-19 pandemic in Poland. METHODS A representative survey was conducted among 361 physicians of PHCs across Poland in 2021. For the purposes of the study, we developed a modified Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) model. Based on the modified TAM, we analyzed the impact of perceived usefulness (PU), perceived ease of use (PEU), and intention to use teleconsultation (INT) on physicians' satisfaction (SAT) and quality of work (Q). The psychometric properties of the research instrument were examined using exploratory factor analysis. Finally, structural equation modeling was used for data analysis. RESULTS The results indicated a generally high level of PU (mean 3.85-4.36, SD 0.87-1.18), PEU (mean 3.81-4.60, SD 0.60-1.42), INT (mean 3.87-4.22, SD 0.89-1.12), and SAT (mean 3.55-4.13, SD 0.88-1.16); the lowest rated dimension in TAM was Q (mean 3.28-3.73, SD 1.06-1.26). The most important independent variable was PU. The influence of PU on INT (estimate=0.63, critical ratio [CR]=15.84, P<.001) and of PU on SAT (estimate=0.44, CR= 9.53, P<.001) was strong. INT was also a key factor influencing SAT (estimate=0.4, CR=8.57, P<.001). A weaker relationship was noted in the effect of PEU on INT (estimate=0.17, CR=4.31, P<.001). In turn, Q was positively influenced by INT (estimate=0.179, CR=3.64, P<.001), PU (estimate=0.246, CR=4.79, P<.001), PEU (estimate=0.18, CR=4.93, P<.001), and SAT (estimate=0.357, CR=6.97, P<.001). All paths between the constructs (PU, PEU, INT, SAT, and Q) were statistically significant, which highlights the multifaceted nature of the adoption of teleconsultations among physicians. CONCLUSIONS Our findings provide strong empirical support for the hypothesized relationships in TAM. The findings suggest that the PU and PEU of teleconsultation have a significant impact on the intention of physicians to adopt teleconsultation. This results in an improvement in the satisfaction of Polish physicians with the use of teleconsultation and an increase in Q. The study contributes to both theory and practice by identifying important prognostic factors affecting physicians' acceptance of teleconsultation systems.

Abstract
Introduction Despite the numerous potential benefits of health chatbots for personal health management, a substantial proportion of people oppose the use of such software applications. Building on the innovation resistance theory (IRT) and the prototype willingness model (PWM), this study investigated the functional barriers, psychological barriers, and negative prototype perception antecedents of individuals' resistance to health chatbots, as well as the rational and irrational psychological mechanisms underlying their linkages. Methods Data from 398 participants were used to construct a partial least squares structural equation model (PLS-SEM). Results Resistance intention mediated the relationship between functional barriers, psychological barriers, and resistance behavioral tendency, respectively. Furthermore, The relationship between negative prototype perceptions and resistance behavioral tendency was mediated by resistance intention and resistance willingness. Moreover, negative prototype perceptions were a more effective predictor of resistance behavioral tendency through resistance willingness than functional and psychological barriers. Discussion By investigating the role of irrational factors in health chatbot resistance, this study expands the scope of the IRT to explain the psychological mechanisms underlying individuals' resistance to health chatbots. Interventions to address people's resistance to health chatbots are discussed.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Chronically ill elderly patients are concerned about losing the personal connection with clinicians in digital encounters and clinicians are concerned about missing nonverbal cues that are important for the diagnosis, thus jeopardizing quality of care. AIMS This study validated the expectations and preferences of chronically ill elderly patients regarding specific communication messages for communication with clinicians in telemedicine. METHODS The sample comprised 600 elderly chronically ill patients who use telehealth. We used a conjoint-based experimental design to test numerous messages. The outcome variable is elder patient expectations from communication with clinicians in telemedicine. The independent variables were known categories of patient-clinician communication. Respondents rated each of the 24 vignettes of messages. RESULTS Mathematical clustering yielded three mindsets, with statistically significant differences among them. Members of mindset 1 were most concerned with non-verbal communication, members of mindset 2 prefer communication that enhances the internal locus of control, and members of mindset 3 have an external locus of control and strongly oppose any dialogue about their expectations from communication. CONCLUSIONS The use of the predictive algorithm that we developed enables clinicians to identify the belonging of each chronically ill elderly patient in the clinic to a sample mindset, and to accordingly personalize the communication in the digital encounters while structuring the encounter with greater specificity, therefore enhancing patient-centered care.

Abstract
Objectives The call to scale up telemedicine services globally as part of the digital health transformation lacks an agreed-upon set of constructs to guide the implementation process. A lack of guidance hinders the development, consolidation, sustainability and optimisation of telemedicine services. The study aims to reach consensus among telemedicine experts on a set of implementation constructs to be developed into an evidence-based support tool. Methods A modified Delphi study was conducted to evaluate a set of evidence-informed telemedicine implementation constructs comprising cores, domains and items. The study evaluated the constructs consisting of five cores: Assessment of the Current Situation, Development of a Telemedicine Strategy, Development of Organisational Changes, Development of a Telemedicine Service, and Monitoring, Evaluation and Optimisation of Telemedicine Implementation; seven domains: Individual Readiness, Organisational Readiness, Clinical, Economic, Technological and Infrastructure, Regulation, and Monitoring, Evaluation and Optimisation; divided into 53 items. Global telemedicine specialists (n = 247) were invited to participate and evaluate 58 questions. Consensus was set at ≥70%. Results Forty-five experts completed the survey. Consensus was reached on 78% of the constructs evaluated. Regarding the core constructs, Monitoring, Evaluation and Optimisation of Telemedicine Implementation was determined to be the most important one, and Development of a Telemedicine Strategy the least. As for the domains, the Clinical one had the highest level of consensus, and the Economic one had the lowest. Conclusions This research advances the field of telemedicine, providing expert consensus on a set of implementation constructs. The findings also highlight considerable divergence in expert opinion on the constructs of reimbursement and incentive mechanisms, resistance to change, and telemedicine champions. The lack of agreement on these constructs warrants attention and may partly explain the barriers that telemedicine services continue to face in the implementation process.

Abstract
Background The Malaysian healthcare system is under strain due to an aging population, the rising prevalence of chronic diseases, and heavy workloads among physicians. As costs and requirements continue to rise, telemedicine is critical for bridging gaps in supply and demand. However, there are limited studies on telemedicine adoption among Malaysian physicians. Furthermore, the existing literature on telemedicine adoption does not contain a comprehensive framework that integrates the multidimensional social influence, and technological, clinical, and individual factors. Objective This research investigates the adoption of telemedicine among Malaysian physicians. It draws from the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Kelman's Social Influence Theory. Methods A survey was conducted among 230 participants in hospitals located in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Results The study identified crucial factors influencing telemedicine adoption, including informational influences, rewards, perceived ease of use, and usefulness. Meanwhile, the Importance-performance Map Analysis (IPMA) identified perceived ease of use as the most important factor for physicians, but the highest performance was patient's records. Conclusions The proposed integrated model enhances the understanding of telemedicine adoption and highlights the differential effects of individual, technological, clinical, and multidimensional social influence factors from the physicians' perspective. The findings can guide future studies and influence implementation strategies for telemedicine promotion in the Malaysian healthcare context. Hospitals should prioritize user-friendly technology and information provision, while telemedicine providers should enhance the accessibility of patient records to facilitate telemedicine adoption. Policymakers should consider supporting training programs that will boost physicians' confidence in effectively utilizing telemedicine.

BACKGROUND While the use of telemedicine (TLM) increased worldwide during the early phases of the COVID-19 pandemic, little is known about the use and acceptance of TLM post the COVID-19 pandemic. OBJECTIVE This study aims to evaluate patients' and physicians' self-reported use, preferences, and acceptability of different types of TLM after the initial phases of the COVID-19 pandemic. METHODS We conducted a cross-sectional survey among patients and physicians in Geneva, Switzerland, between September 2021 and January 2022. Patients in waiting rooms of both private and public medical centers and emergency services were invited to answer a web-based questionnaire. Physicians working in private and public settings were invited by email to answer a similar questionnaire. The questionnaires assessed participants' sociodemographics and digital literacy; self-reported use of TLM; as well as preferences and acceptability of TLM for different clinical situations. RESULTS A total of 567 patients (309/567, 55% women) and 448 physicians (230/448, 51% women and 225/448, 50% in private practice) responded to the questionnaire. Patients (263/567, 46.5%) and physicians (247/448, 55.2%) generally preferred the phone over other TLM formats and considered it to be acceptable for most medical situations. Email (417/567, 73.6% and 308/448, 68.8%) was acceptable for communicating exam results, and medical certificates (327/567, 67.7% and 297/448, 66.2%) and video (302/567, 53.2% and 288/448, 64.3%) was considered acceptable for psychological support by patients and physicians, respectively. Older age was associated with lower acceptability of video for both patients and physicians (odds ratio [OR] 0.03, 95% CI 0.00-0.33 and OR 0.23, 95% CI 0.08-0.66) while previous use of video was positively associated with video acceptability (OR 3.16, 95% CI 1.84-5.43 and OR 3.34, 95% CI 2.91-5.54). Psychiatrists and hospital physicians were more likely to consider video to be acceptable (OR 10.79, 95% CI 3.96-29.30 and OR 3.97, 95% CI 2.23-7.60). CONCLUSIONS Despite the development of video, the acceptability of video remains lower than that of the phone for most health issues or patient requests. There is a need to better define for which patients and in which medical situations video can become safe and efficient.

Abstract
Introduction Video psychotherapy (VPT) demonstrated strong clinical efficacy in the past, with patients and psychotherapists expressing satisfaction with its outcomes. Despite this, VPT only gained full recognition from the German healthcare system during the COVID-19 pandemic. As society increasingly relies on new media, it seems likely that VPT will become even more relevant. Previous studies surveyed practicing psychotherapists and patients about advantages and disadvantages of VPT. In contrast, our approach targets a younger generation, specifically psychology students intending to become licensed practitioners after graduation. Methods Our mixed-methods study was conducted in an online survey format and had two main objectives. Firstly, we investigated which person-related variables are associated with psychology students' behavioral intention to offer VPT after graduation, using a multiple regression analysis. Secondly, we explored psychology students' perception of advantages and disadvantages of VPT and identified their desired learning opportunities regarding VPT in their study program, using qualitative content analysis. Results A sample of 255 psychology students participated. The multiple regression model explains 73% of inter-individual variance in the intention to offer VPT, with attitudes toward VPT showing the strongest relationship with intention to offer VPT. Expected usefulness, satisfaction with video conferencing, and subjective norm also showed significant relations. The students provided 2,314 statements about advantages, disadvantages, and desired learning opportunities, which we coded by means of three category systems. In terms of advantages, the most frequently mentioned categories were low inhibition threshold, flexibility in terms of location, and no need to travel. For disadvantages, the predominant categories included lack of closeness between patient and psychotherapist, lack of nonverbal cues, and problems with technology or internet connection. Regarding desired learning opportunities, training for technical skills, practical application through role-playing and self-experience, and general information about VPT were the most mentioned categories. In addition, we identified numerous other aspects related to these topics, reflecting a differentiated and balanced assessment of VPT. Discussion We discuss the theoretical and practical implications of our findings for training the next generation of psychotherapists and outline a specific five-step plan for integrating VPT into study programs.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES Distributed research networks (DRNs) facilitate multicenter research by enabling the use of multicenter data; therefore, they are increasingly utilized in healthcare fields. Despite the numerous advantages of DRNs, it is crucial to understand researchers' acceptance of these networks to ensure their effective application in multicenter research. In this study, we sought to identify the factors influencing the adoption of DRNs among researchers in Korea. METHODS We used snowball sampling to collect data from 149 researchers between July 7 and August 28, 2020. Five factors were used to formulate the hypotheses and research model: data accessibility, usefulness, ease of use, data security risk, and intention to use DRNs. We applied a structural equation model to identify relationships within the research model. RESULTS Data accessibility and data security were critical to the acceptance and use of DRNs. The usefulness of DRNs partially mediated the relationship between data accessibility and the intention to use DRNs. Interestingly, ease of use did not influence the intention to use DRNs, but it was affected by data accessibility. Furthermore, ease of use impacted the perceived usefulness of DRNs. CONCLUSIONS This study highlighted major factors that can promote the broader adoption and utilization of DRNs. Consequently, these findings can contribute to the expansion of active multicenter research using DRNs in the field of healthcare research.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The swift shift toward internet hospitals has relied on the willingness of medical practitioners to embrace new systems and workflows. Low engagement or acceptance by medical practitioners leads to difficulties in patient access. However, few investigations have focused on barriers and facilitators of adoption of internet hospitals from the perspective of medical practitioners. OBJECTIVE This study aims to identify both enabling and inhibiting predictors associated with resistance and behavioral intentions of medical practitioners to use internet hospitals by combining the conservation of resources theory with the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology and technostress framework. METHODS A mixed methods research design was conducted to qualitatively identify the factors that enable and inhibit resistance and behavioral intention to use internet hospitals, followed by a quantitative survey-based study that empirically tested the effects of the identified factors. The qualitative phase involved conducting in-depth interviews with 16 experts in China from June to August 2022. Thematic analysis was performed using the qualitative data analysis software NVivo version 10 (QSR International). On the basis of the findings and conceptual framework gained from the qualitative interviews, a cross-sectional, anonymous, web-based survey of 593 medical practitioners in 28 provincial administrative regions of China was conducted. The data collected were analyzed using the partial least squares method, with the assistance of SPSS 27.0 (IBM Corp) and Mplus 7.0 (Muthen and Muthen), to measure and validate the proposed model. RESULTS On the basis of qualitative results, this study identified 4 facilitators and inhibitors, namely performance expectancy, social influence, work overload, and role ambiguity. Of the 593 medical practitioners surveyed in the quantitative research, most were female (n=364, 61.4%), had a middle title (n=211, 35.6%) or primary title (n=212, 35.8%), and had an average use experience of 6 months every year. By conducting structural equation modeling, we found that performance expectancy (β=-.55; P<.001) and work overload (β=.16; P=.005) had the most significant impact on resistance to change. Resistance to change fully mediated the influence of performance expectancy and partially mediated the influences of social influence (variance accounted for [VAF]=43.3%; P=.002), work overload (VAF=37.2%; P=.03), and role ambiguity (VAF=12.2%; P<.001) on behavioral intentions to use internet hospitals. In addition, this study found that the sex, age, professional title, and use experience of medical practitioners significantly moderated the aforementioned influencing mechanisms. CONCLUSIONS This study investigated the factors that facilitate or hinder medical practitioners' resistance to change and their behavioral intentions to use internet hospitals. The findings suggest that policy makers avoid the resistance and further promote the adoption of internet hospitals by ensuring performance expectancy and social influence and eliminating work overload and role ambiguity.

Abstract
Professionals who work in clinical sexology intervene in situations related to mental health, such as sexual dysfunctions and marital conflicts, often with vulnerable populations, e.g., people with chronic illnesses or trans people. In this work, we wanted to understand the perceptions these professionals have about using Internet interventions and how they perceive-based on their COVID-related experience and the reflections it brought about non-face-to-face interventions-the use of online interventions. During the first lockdown due to COVID-19 in Portugal, we used an online survey and collected answers from 39 Portuguese sexual health professionals to open questions about the use of Internet interventions. The data were analyzed following the summative content analysis procedures. Our results showed that sexual health professionals had several difficulties in clinical practice during the lockdown period, such as the perception that sexuality moved to the backseat in people's lives. Even so, they stated that Internet interventions have several advantages, such as easy accessibility and excellent promotion of social justice. However, disadvantages were also pointed out. The current study allowed us to understand clinicians' perception of the impact of the pandemic on sexual healthcare access and brought recommendations for good practice of sexual medicine with e-health.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The purpose of this study was to explore telemedicine use and obtain actionable recommendations to improve telemedicine user experience from a diverse group of patients and providers. METHODS We interviewed adult patients and primary care providers (PCPs) across three National Patient-Centered Clinical Research Network (PCORnet) sites in New York City, North Carolina, and Florida. Both patients and providers could participate via phone or videoconferencing; patients could complete the interview in English or Spanish. Spanish interviews were conducted by a member of the research team who spoke Spanish fluently. Interviews were audio-recorded, transcribed verbatim, and when necessary, professionally translated. RESULTS We interviewed 21 PCPs and 65 patients between March and October 2021. We found that patients' and providers' perspectives on ways to improve the telemedicine experience focused on three recommendation themes: (1) expectations of care provided via telemedicine, (2) innovations to support usability, and (3) alleviation of physician burden. Key recommendations were related to expectations regarding (1) care provided, for example, adding educational content for the patients, and clarity about long-term payment models; (2) support innovation to improve telemedicine usability, for example, providing patients with remote monitoring devices, integrating in-home testing and nursing evaluation; (3) and reduce physician burden, for example, virtual rooming, reimbursement of time spent outside of the telemedicine encounter. DISCUSSION Primary care patients and providers see merit in telemedicine. However, both groups recommended novel ways to improve the quality of care and user experience. Findings from this article suggest that policymakers would be best served by addressing current gaps in patient digital literacy by creating technical support strategies, and gaps in telemedicine reimbursement to present an equitable form of payment.

Abstract
BACKGROUND With the rapid development of the metaverse and the problem of non-attendance in traditional rehabilitation, virtual reality in telerehabilitation has become increasingly vital in modern medicine. However, research on determining predictors that influence the public's behavioral intention to adopt VR-based telerehabilitation has not been extensively studied. OBJECTIVE This study aims to propose a new research model with a comparative analysis on understanding factors affecting the public's behavioral intention to adopt VR in telerehabilitation for different user groups. METHODS A total of 215 respondents from the general public completed an online questionnaire to validate the proposed research model. The collected data was analyzed using SPSS and AMOS. The proposed model was additionally validated using CFA and multiple linear regression. RESULTS This study found that effort expectancy, threat appraisals, and trust had a positive significant influence on the public's behavioral intention to adopt VR in telerehabilitation. However, performance expectancy and facilitating conditions had no significant relationship with behavioral intention. Notably, the average of the primary factors for older adults was generally higher than for younger adults. CONCLUSIONS The present study confirms the applicability of the proposed research model. Our findings contribute up-to-date insights for related stakeholders to minimize implementation failures and develop successful adoption strategies for the future expansion of telerehabilitation.

Abstract
Objective Health professionals are the main users of telemedicine systems, and their acceptance will contribute to the successful implementation of this technology. The objective of this study is to provide a better understanding of the issues surrounding the acceptance of telemedicine technology by Moroccan health professionals in the public sector, in the preparation for a possible generalization of this technology in Morocco. Method Following a literature review, the authors mobilized a modified version of the unified model of technology acceptance and use, to explain and understand the determinants of health professionals' intention to accept telemedicine technology. The authors' methodology is based on a qualitative analysis and is primarily based on data obtained through semi-structured interviews with health professionals, who the authors believe are the primary actors in the acceptance of this technology within Moroccan hospitals. Results The authors' results suggest that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, compatibility, facilitating conditions, perceived incentives, and social influence have a significant positive impact on health professionals' behavioural intention to accept telemedicine technology. Practical implications From a practical point of view, the results of this study can help the government, organizations responsible for the implementation of telemedicine, and policymakers to understand the key factors that may affect the behaviour of future users of this technology, and to develop very specific strategies and policies for a successful generalization.

Abstract
Background: Recent technological advances have paved the way for a new modality of medical practice known as teleconsultation. Positive perceptions about the benefits of teleconsultation and its acceptance by clinicians are key predictors of its uptake. The aim of this study was to assess knowledge, perceptions, and acceptability of teleconsultation among Moroccan physicians. Methods: This is a descriptive cross-sectional study conducted at the Cheikh Khalifa International University Hospital (HCK) of Casablanca, Morocco. Study participants answered an anonymous self-administered questionnaire designed based on similar studies. The questionnaire contained four sections related to demographic characteristics, knowledge about telemedicine and teleconsultation, perceptions about teleconsultation, and its acceptability by the study participants. Results: Of 486 eligible participants, a total of 212 completed the questionnaire. Approximately 96.7% had prior knowledge of teleconsultation. Most participants identified internet access (95.3%), data security (93.4%), and confidentiality (92.9%) as the main facilitators to the use of teleconsultation. The main barriers to the use of teleconsultation were internet access issues (98.6%), poor audio quality (96.2%), poor video quality (94.3%), and difficulty encountered by patients in expressing themselves and communicating with their physician (79.7%). The majority of participants (91.5%) believed that teleconsultation will be an integral part of future medical practice and about 70.8% thought that they would be able to allot time to teleconsultation in their current schedules. Conclusions: The findings of this study should be used by policy makers to remove barriers and promote enablers of teleconsultation use by physicians to bring health care closer to the Moroccan population.

Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic boosted the digital transformation of many services, including healthcare, and access to medical care using teleconsultation has increased rapidly. Thus, a growing number of online platforms have been developed to accommodate patients’ needs. This paper examines the factors that predict the intention to use medical teleconsultation by extending the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT2) with the three dimensions of trusting beliefs and self-efficacy. A survey was administered to patients who had used a teleconsultation platform during the pandemic period. As one of the largest studies to date, a sample of 1233 respondents was collected and analyzed using a partial least squares approach, often mobilized in the information systems (IS) domain. Furthermore, a deep analysis using all recommended metrics was performed. The results highlight the significance of trusting beliefs, and self-efficacy in the adoption of digital healthcare services. These findings contribute to both theory and practice in COVID-19 research.

Abstract
Background Mobile health technologies have shown promise as delivery platforms for digital health coaching for chronic conditions. However, the impacts of such strategies on users' health beliefs, intentions and ultimately clinical outcomes are understudied. Objective This study sought (1) to evaluate the effects of a digital health coaching intervention on participants' belief constructs; and (2) to assess relationships between these belief constructs and intentions to utilize the technological intervention, actual adherence metrics and clinical outcomes related to hypertension. Methods Thirty-four participants with hypertension were recruited from a university community from January to May 2021. They self-measured weight and blood pressure (BP) for 30 days followed by digital coaching delivered via a mobile application for 30 days. Surveys assessed constructs from the Health Belief Model and Technology Acceptance Model, compared to intention, health belief, BP self-monitoring adherence and BP outcomes. A path analysis model was used to assess the relationships between constructs and intention, adherence metrics and clinical outcomes. A Kruskal-Wallis test was used to identify changes in beliefs. Results Participant health beliefs significantly improved after coaching, including self-efficacy (H(1) = 15.12, p < 0.001), cues to action (H(1) = 5.33, p = 0.02), attitude (H(1) = 10.35, p = 0.002), perceived usefulness (H(1) = 15.02, p < 0.001) and decreased resistance to change (H(1) = 4.05, p = 0.04). Adherence to BP measurements positively correlated with perceived health threat (β = .033, p = 0.007) and perceived ease of use (β = .0277, p < 0.001). Self-efficacy (β = -2.92, p = 0.02) and perceived usefulness (β = -3.75, p = 0.01) were linked with a decrease in diastolic BP. Conclusions A mobile health coaching intervention may help participants improve beliefs regarding hypertension self-management.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to understand the customer sentiment towards telemedicine apps and also to apply machine learning algorithms to analyse the sentiments in the adoption during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Design/methodology/approach
Text mining that uses natural language processing to extract insights from unstructured text is used to find out the customer sentiment towards the telemedicine apps during the COVID-19 pandemic. Machine learning algorithms like support vector machine (SVM) and Naïve Bayes classifier are used for classification, and their sensitivity and specificity are found using a confusion matrix.
Findings
The paper explores the customer sentiment towards telemedicine apps and their adoption during the COVID-19 pandemic. Text mining that uses natural language processing to extract insights from unstructured text is used to find out the customer sentiment towards the telemedicine apps during the COVID-19 pandemic. Machine learning algorithms like SVM and Naïve Bayes classifier are used for classification, and their sensitivity and specificity are found using a confusion matrix. The customers who used telemedicine apps have positive sentiment as well as negative sentiment towards the telemedicine apps. Some of the customers have concerns about the medicines delivered, their delivery time, the quality of service and other technical difficulties. Even a small percentage of doctors feel uncomfortable in online consultation through the application.
Originality/value
The primary value of this paper lies in providing an overview of the customers’ approach towards the telemedicine apps, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Telemedicine may help the detection of symptom worsening in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), potentially resulting in improved outcomes. This study aimed to determine the feasibility and acceptability of telemedicine among patients with COPD and physicians and facility staff in Japan. METHODS This was a 52-week multicenter, prospective, single-arm, feasibility and acceptability cohort study of Japanese patients ≥40 years of age with COPD or asthma-COPD overlap. Participants underwent training to use YaDoc, a telemedicine smartphone App, which included seven daily symptom questions and weekly COPD Assessment Test (CAT) questions. The primary endpoint was participant compliance for required question completion. The secondary endpoint was participant and physician/facility staff acceptability of YaDoc based on questionnaires completed at Week 52. The impact of the Japanese COVID-19 pandemic state of emergency on results was also assessed. RESULTS Of the 84 participants enrolled (mean age: 68.7 years, 88% male), 72 participants completed the study. Completion was high in the first six months but fell after that. Median (interquartile range [IQR]) compliance for daily questionnaire entry was 66.6% (31.0-91.8) and 81.0% (45.3-94.3) for weekly CAT entry. Positive participant responses to the exit questionnaire were highest regarding YaDoc ease of use (83.8%), positive impact on managing health (58.8%), and overall satisfaction (53.8%). Of the 26 physicians and facility staff enrolled, 24 completed the study. Of these, the majority (66.7%) responded positively regarding app facilitation of communication between physicians and participants to manage disease. Compliance was similar before and after the first COVID-19 state of emergency in Japan. CONCLUSION Daily telemedicine monitoring is potentially feasible and acceptable to both patients and physicians in the management of COPD. These results may inform potential use of telemedicine in clinical practice and design of future studies. CLINICAL TRIAL REGISTRATION JapicCTI-194916.

Abstract
Telemedicine is not released into a social vacuum. In some communities - such as the underserved, low income, mostly minority community served by Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia (EMCP) - the social context presents the medical center with unique challenges centered on a strong community sense of historical discrimination. That context is manifested in people being less inclined to trust symbols of external authority and in their strong reliance on subjective norms. Analyzing 540 survey responses by EMCP emergency department (ED) patients shows that trust in the EMCP portal was the strongest predictor of its acceptance. Being an African American had no effect on portal acceptance compared to others in the community. Importantly, there was a negative interaction effect of subjective norms and trust on portal acceptance - meaning that increasing this trust can reduce the importance of subjective norms or, alternatively, that lower subjective norms may increase the importance of trust in determining acceptance. This moderation may have very practical implications for EMCP because, while it might be challenging for EMCP to change long established subjective norms, it is within their power to increase trust in the portal. Theoretical and practical implications are discussed.

Abstract
While telemedicine has been extensively researched throughout the globe, the Middle East has seen relatively little research on the topic. The purpose of this study was to investigate the primary care physicians' perceptions of the use of telemedicine, as well as its hurdles and benefits, during the COVID-19 pandemic in the state of Qatar. In this multicenter cross-sectional study, an internally validated questionnaire was distributed among primary care physicians utilizing telemedicine during the pandemic at Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC), the main primary care provider in Qatar. A convenience sample was taken due to the pandemic restrictions. Out of 254 analyzed questionnaires, about half of the physicians (48%) had used telemedicine in the past primarily in the form of telephone consultations. Nearly three-quarters (74%) of physicians agreed that telemedicine is an easy way to communicate during the pandemic, but only half (52%) felt it improved job performance and effectiveness. Most physicians (90%) agreed that telemedicine is safe during the pandemic, but opinion was split on whether an optimum assessment of COVID-19 disease could be conducted. The majority also considered telemedicine an effective tool for chronic disease reviews (63%) and other consultations such as blood test results and medicine prescriptions (71%). The most significant barrier to telemedicine use was a language barrier followed by a lack of proper training. About 79% of responders felt that telemedicine improves access to healthcare and assists in contacting difficult-to-reach individuals, and 74% also thought it minimizes no-shows in the clinics. Our study has shown that most physicians felt comfortable and safer using telemedicine as an alternative means to conduct consultations during the pandemic. Keeping in view its advantages, the majority suggested that it could be incorporated into daily practice even beyond the pandemic. However, concerns were raised about its use to assess COVID-19 disease, lack of training, and potential barriers such as language differences. Further studies are needed to assess the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of telemedicine as well as the evaluation of alternative media such as video consultation, which could increase the utility of telemedicine and potentially mitigate some of its disadvantages.

Abstract
Digital marketing has given new life to healthcare services by enhancing their visibility in the online space. People choose online healthcare services because they can receive instant answers and communicate with specialists in their comfortable environment at the right time. The purpose of this study was to understand the impact of virtual communities on the intention to use telemedicine. The model is based on a combination of consumer desire (psychological objective) and loyalty through promotional formats (economic objective), as well as data collected from 442 respondents analyzed using structural equation modeling. The research results show that by analyzing target groups in social networks, content can be individualized, and an accurate measurement of e-patient satisfaction must be conducted in order to improve the experience of future consumers of telemedicine services. The results of this study explain what makes people want to use digital healthcare services and can serve as a guide for people who run virtual communities and help digital healthcare service providers figure out how to market their services.

Abstract
Providing telemental health services to older adults has become especially important during the COVID-19 pandemic. Video-to-home (VTH) treatment is an effective treatment modality; research shows that older adults are open to using VTH. However, there are unique barriers to using VTH with older adults. Barriers include access to technology, acceptance of technology, and physical and cognitive limitations. Additional concerns include establishing rapport with older patients and the policy and ethical concerns surrounding the use of VTH. Methods of addressing these barriers have been developed, and more research is needed to develop evidence-based VTH practice.

Abstract
During the COVID-19 pandemic, telehealth became a popular solution for the remote provision of primary care by General Practitioners (GPs) in Poland. This study aimed to assess the GPs' acceptance of telehealth during the COVID-19 pandemic in Poland and to explain the factors that drive GPs' need to implement a telehealth system in primary care using the modified Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). In Poland, 361 GPs from a representative sample of 361 clinics drawn from 21,500 outpatient institutions in Poland participated in the empirical study. Structural equation modelling (SEM) was used to evaluate the causal relationships that were formulated in the proposed model. Research has shown that Polish GPs reported a positive perception and high acceptance of the telehealth system during the COVID-19 pandemic. Overall, the results show that the social factors (image, decision autonomy, perception of patient interaction) significantly positively influence the technological factors (perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness) that influence the need to implement a telehealth system. The proposed socio-technological model can serve as a theoretical basis for future research and offer empirical predictions for practitioners and researchers in health departments, governments, and primary care settings.

Abstract
The demand for health care has increased with the development of global technology and the rise of public health awareness, and smart service systems have also been introduced to medical care to relieve the pressure on hospital staff. However, the survey found that patients' willingness to use smart services at the time of consultation has not improved. The main research purpose of this study was to understand the willingness of patients from various groups to use smart medical service systems and to explore the influencing factors on patients' use of smart service systems in hospitals through the technology acceptance model. This study distributed questionnaires in the outpatient area of National Taiwan University Hospital Yunlin Branch, and a total of 202 valid questionnaires were obtained. After related research and regression analysis, it was found that patients paid more attention to the benefits and convenience brought by smart services. If patients believed that smart services were trustworthy and beneficial to themselves, their usage intention and attitude would be positive. The results of this study are summarized by the following four points: (1) Designed according to the cultural conditions of different regions; (2) think about design from the patient's perspective; (3) strengthen the explanation and promotion of smart services; and (4) add humanized care and design. This study could be used as a reference for hospitals to improve their service quality and systems in the future.

Abstract
Telemedicine is the use of modern telecommunications and information technologies for the provision of clinical care to individuals at a distance, and transmission of information to provide that care. Recent advances in information technology and biomedicine increased significantly the technical feasibility, clinical feasibility and affordability enabled collaborative of telemedicine and medical service delivery. Health organizations around the world are becoming more interested in the acquisition and implementation the telemedicine technology to improve or expand existing services and patient care. The ultimate success of telemedicine in an organization requires the adoption of adequate care both technological and managerial issues. This study examined theadoption theories,the key management problem facing many health care organizations which interested in or currently evaluating telemedicine . this research models targeted the technology adoption and empirically evaluated in a study of the investigation involving more public health agencies and criticize the theories.Several research and management implications that emerged from the study results are discussed.

Abstract
Technological interventions in the healthcare sector, namely, telemedicine services, have helped the government and people in these extraordinarily challenging times of ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. We identify and group key success factors relevant to telemedicine services under 7 contextual criteria. Furthermore, we explore the causal relations among them using the decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) method. Then, by applying the Bayesian best-worst method (BWM), we compute the relative importance of these criteria. Thereafter, we rank six hospitals that have provided telemedicine services through a comparative evaluation using the VIsekriterijumsko KOmpromisno Rangiranjie (VIKOR) method. The threefold findings of our study reveal that (i) the technological criteria provide the highest causal impact, while the environmental criteria provide the least causal impact. (ii) The hierarchical model of criteria, achieved through the Bayesian BWM score, shows that the criteria weights for both technological and organizational criteria are maximum (0.205) and minimum (0.087), respectively. (iii) The evaluation of six hospitals with VIKOR based on seven criteria ranks the Himalayan hospital as first, showing that it is best in providing telemedicine services to patients. Public health policymakers could use the results of our study to devise an effective plan for patient care in crisis, like COVID-19.

Abstract
The ongoing COVID19 pandemic has put digital health technologies in the spotlight. To gain a deeper understanding of patients’ usage intentions of virtual doctor appointments, the present research adapts the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT2) by integrating perceived security and perceived product advantage, two known barriers to successful telemedicine adoption. Applying age-stratified sampling, an online survey was distributed to 800 citizens in Germany and the United States of America. 710 completed and valid questionnaires were subsequently analyzed using SPSS and AMOS (versions 24). Significant, direct, and positive effects of performance expectancy, hedonic motivation, perceived security, and perceived product advantage on the behavioral intention to use virtual doctor appointments were found. The analysis of the moderating variables, age and gender, showed significant differences in user's performance expectancy and effort expectancy, and perceived product advantage, respectively. With virtual health care models on the rise, these results are important for stakeholders such as policymakers, governments, employers, but also physicians, and insurance companies as they offer clear recommendations to design telemedicine adoption strategies to ensure successful patient engagement.

Abstract
Background In the next 15 to 20 years, the Chinese population will reach a plateau and start to decline. With the changing family structure and rushed urbanization policies, there will be greater demand for high-quality medical resources at urban centers and home-based elderly care driven by telehealth solutions. This paper describes an exploratory study regarding elderly users’ preference for telehealth solutions in the next 5 to 10 years in 4 cities, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Wuhan, and Yichang. Objective The goal is to analyze why users choose telehealth solutions over traditional health solutions based on a questionnaire study involving 4 age groups (50-60, 61-70, 71-80, and 80+) in 4 cities (Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Wuhan, and Yichang) in the next 10 to 20 years. The legal retirement age for female workers in China is 50 to 55 years and 60 years for male workers. To simulate reality in terms of elderly care in China, the authors use the Chinese definition of elderly for employees, defined as being 50 to 60 years old rather than 65 years, as defined by the World Health Organization. Methods The questionnaires were collected from Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Wuhan, and Yichang randomly with 390 valid data samples. The questionnaire consists of 31 questions distributed offline on tablet devices by local investigators. Subsequently, Stata 16.0 and SPSS 24.0 were used to analyze the data. O-logit ordered regression and principal component analysis (PCA) were the main theoretical models used. The study is currently in the exploratory stage and therefore does not seek generalization of the results. Results Approximately 71.09% (280/390) of the respondents reported having at least 1 type of chronic disease. We started with PCA and categorized all Likert scale variables into 3 factors. The influence of demographic variables on Factors 1, 2, and 3 was verified using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and t tests. The ordered logit regression results suggest that health-related motivations are positively related to the willingness to use telehealth solutions, and trust on data collected from telehealth solutions is negatively correlated with the willingness to use telehealth solutions. Conclusions The findings suggest that there is a need to address the gap in community health care and ensure health care continuity between different levels of health care institutions in China by providing telehealth solutions. Meanwhile, telehealth solution providers must focus on improving users’ health awareness and lower health risk for chronic diseases by addressing lifestyle changes such as regular exercise and social activity. The interoperability between the electronic health record system and telehealth solutions remains a hurdle for telehealth solutions to add value in health care. The hurdle is that doctors neither adjust health care plans nor diagnose based on data collected by telehealth solutions.

Abstract
Recent developments in information technology (IT) in health are extended to highly specialized services, an example is telemedicine technology, understood as the use of IT to enable the transfer of medical information for diagnostic purposes, therapeutic and educational. Despite the benefits of implementing such technology, healthcare professionals, as end users, do not fully utilize it. The Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), are among the models applied to assess and predict the acceptance and use of telemedicine. This article aims to identify the relevant literature related to these two models, to review and summarize the methodologies and results, and propose a conceptual model for the acceptance and use of telemedicine technology by healthcare professionals.

Abstract
PURPOSE Physician adoption of online medical services (OMS) has been hastened by the COVID-19 pandemic, but their adoption willingness still requires to be improved. This study aims to construct a physician's OMS adoption willingness model based on the information-motivation-behavioral skill (IMB) theory, explore the determinants affecting adoption willingness and its influencing pathways, and evaluate the moderating effects of OMS use experience on willingness through multi-group analysis. PARTICIPANTS AND METHODS A cross-sectional survey was conducted among physicians in three public hospitals of Jiangsu province, China, from June to July 2020, using a multi-stage sampling method. Structural equation modeling was applied to analyze the valid data from 531 respondents. RESULTS Physicians' willingness to adopt OMS was at a moderate level, with an average score of 14.27±3.34 (range: 4-20). The behavior model for physician's OMS adoption willingness fitted well. Information (In), motivation (Mo), and behavioral skill (BS) explained 69% of the variance in adoption willingness (AW). Information could only exert completely indirect effect on willingness via behavioral skills (b = 0.202, 95% CI[0.122, 0.314]); motivation could both generate direct effect (β=0.368, p < 0.001) and partial indirect effect on willingness via behavioral skills (b = 0.160, 95% CI[0.092, 0.248]); and behavioral skills had a positive effect on willingness (β=0.424, p < 0.001). Furthermore, OMS use experience showed a significant moderating effect on the Mo → AW pathway, with inexperienced physicians' willingness being significantly stronger influenced by motivation compared to experienced ones. CONCLUSION Findings from this study revealed the role of IMB model in interpreting and predicting physicians' willingness to adopt OMS and the moderating effect of uptake experience, providing practitioners with a theoretical foundation and intervention framework for supporting OMS development efforts.

Abstract
Since the COVID-19 pandemic hit, several hospitals in Indonesia have started to develop teleconsultation services to expand the reach of health services and prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Therefore, this study was conducted with the aim of analyzing the influence of user and technological dimensions on the acceptance of the use of hospital teleconsultation applications by users. The research was conducted using quantitative methods with data from questionnaires distributed online. The respondent criteria for this study were Indonesians aged 17 years and over who knew about or had used a hospital's teleconsultation application, and this resulted in 534 respondents. Data processing was carried out using the covariance-based structural equation modeling method with the AMOS 24 application. The user behavior and technology dimensions are influence intention to use telemedicine applications. Furthermore, the results showed that contamination avoidance, safety, reliability, professionalism, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and information quality have a significant positive influence on the behavioral intention to use hospital telemedicine applications. Meanwhile, facilitating conditions and social influence were not shown to have a significant positive effect on the behavioral intention to use such applications. Finally, behavioral intention to use significantly and positively influences actual use. This research can help hospitals and the government in providing guidance in terms of developing telemedicine applications.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION The COVID-19 pandemic promoted hitherto unseen uptake of telemedicine by ophthalmologists. We performed a mixed methods study to explore patters of utilization during the pandemic and perceived future utility. METHODS Ophthalmologists practicing in Canada between March and July 2020 were invited to complete an online questionnaire assessing demographics, clinical practice characteristics and telemedicine utilization prior to and during the pandemic. Descriptive and bivariate statistics were used to analyze the data. Agglomerative hierarchical cluster analysis was used to identify groups who varied on the types of visits offered using telemedicine. Ten one-on-one interviews were conducted and analyzed using thematic content analysis to explain trends observed in the survey data. RESULTS Seventy-three ophthalmologists completed the survey. Six percent reported using telemedicine prior to the pandemic compared to 80% during the pandemic. A significant majority (81%) primarily used the telephone for telemedicine visits. Overall, visit volumes during the pandemic declined to 40% of pre-pandemic levels, with a smaller decline for ophthalmologists who used telemedicine than those who did not. Those who used telemedicine for all visit types were more likely to use telemedicine software and to anticipate a modest-to-large role for telemedicine in their future practice. DISCUSSION For many ophthalmologists, integrating telemedicine into clinical practice may have partially offset the disruption to normal clinical activities during the pandemic. While the majority saw telemedicine as a temporary solution, a sizeable minority appear to have made considerable use of the technology and see an ongoing role for it once regular clinical activities resume.

Abstract
Background Diabetes mellitus (DM) is one of the most challenging diseases in the 21st century and is the sixth leading cause of death. Telemedicine has increasingly been implemented in the care of patients with DM. Although teleconsultations at home have shown to be more effective for inducing HbA1c reduction than other telemedicine options, before the 2019 coronavirus disease crisis, their use had been lagging behind. Studies on physicians’ or patients’ perceptions about telemedicine have been performed independently of each other, and very few have focused on teleconsultations. In a time of great pressure for health systems and when an important portion of health care has to be assured at a distance, obtaining insights about teleconsultations at home from the stakeholders directly involved in the health care interaction is particularly important. Objective The perceptions of patients and physicians about their intentions to use home synchronous teleconsultations for DM care are examined to identify drivers and barriers inherent to programs that involve home teleconsultations. Methods Two identical questionnaires integrating the technology acceptance model and the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology and assessing the confidence in information and communication technology use of patients and physicians were developed. Responses by patients (n=75) and physicians (n=68) were analyzed using canonical correlation analysis. Results Associations between predictor constructs (performance, effort, social influence, facilitating conditions, and attitude) and intention to use yielded significant functions, with a canonical R2 of 0.95 (for physicians) and 0.98 (patients). The main identified barriers to patient intention to use were the expected effort to explain the medical problem, and privacy and confidentiality issues. The major drivers were the facilitation of contact with the physician, which is beneficial to patient disease management and treatment, time savings, and reciprocity concerning physicians’ willingness to perform teleconsultations. Responses from physicians revealed an association between intention to use and the expected performance of home teleconsultations. The major barrier to intention to use expressed in physicians’ answers was doubts concerning the quality of patient examination. The major drivers were time savings, productivity increases, improvements in patient’s health and patient management, National Health System costs reduction, and reciprocity relative to patients’ willingness to engage in teleconsultations. Conclusions To promote the use of home teleconsultations for DM, decision makers should improve patients’ health literacy so the physician–patient communication is more effective; explore information and communication technology developments to reduce current limitations of non–face-to-face examinations; ensure patient privacy and data confidentiality; and demonstrate the capabilities of home teleconsultations to physicians.

Abstract
Understanding the factors affecting the use of healthcare technologies is a crucial topic that has been extensively studied, specifically during the last decade. These factors were studied using different technology acceptance models and theories. However, a systematic review that offers extensive understanding into what affects healthcare technologies and services and covers distinctive trends in large-scale research remains lacking. Therefore, this review aims to systematically review the articles published on technology acceptance in healthcare. From a yield of 1768 studies collected, 142 empirical studies have met the eligibility criteria and were extensively analyzed. The key findings confirmed that TAM and UTAUT are the most prevailing models in explaining what affects the acceptance of various healthcare technologies through different user groups, settings, and countries. Apart from the core constructs of TAM and UTAUT, the results showed that anxiety, computer self-efficacy, innovativeness, and trust are the most influential factors affecting various healthcare technologies. The results also revealed that Taiwan and the USA are leading the research of technology acceptance in healthcare, with a remarkable increase in studies focusing on telemedicine and electronic medical records solutions. Abstract
This study considers Theory of Reasoned Action and Technology Acceptance Model frameworks to test the mediating role of attitude towards using E-health platforms. 224 medical practitioners' responses are collected in the online mode. The mediation analysis supports the full mediation role of attitude towards using the E-health platforms in the relationship between perceived usefulness and intentions to use with (indirect effect = .15, SE = 0.03, LLCI = 0.09, and ULCI = .22). E-health platform developers should take active measures to improve the attitude of medical practitioners towards using such platforms, to derive the best results of the added features.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES This survey aimed to assess the awareness and readiness of healthcare providers to use telemonitoring (TM) technologies for managing diabetes patients as well as to identify associated factors in Ethiopia. DESIGN An institution-based cross-sectional quantitative survey was conducted by using a pretested self-administered questionnaire from February to March 2020. Data analysis used a binary logistic regression and partial proportional odds model for factor identification. PARTICIPANTS Randomly selected 423 study physicians and nurses. SETTING This study was conducted at the University of Gondar and Tibebe Ghion specialised teaching referral hospitals. OUTCOME MEASURES Awareness and readiness towards TM in diabetes care. RESULT Out of 406 healthcare providers (69.7%, n=283 nurses and 30.3%, n=123 physicians) who completed the survey, 345 (38.7%) heard about TM, when it came to readiness, 321 (25.1%) and 121 (65.5%) of respondents had average and low readiness towards TM, respectively. The result of regression analysis shows that awareness towards TM was higher among respondents who had access to a computer (adjusted OR (AOR): 2.8 (95% CI 1.1 to 7.1)), computer-related training (AOR: 4.6 (95% CI 1.63 to 12.95)) and those who had the experience of supporting patients through digital tools (AOR: 1.7 (95% CI 1.0 to 2.8)). Self-perceived innovators and those who had access to a computer, computer-related training and favourable attitude towards TM had significantly higher readiness to use TM. CONCLUSION The findings of this survey revealed low awareness and readiness of participant's towards TM. However, this study suggests the need of improving participant's attitudes, access to smartphones and computers and technical skills to fill this gap.

Abstract
Psychologists with their expertise in statistics and regarding human perception and behavior can contribute valuable insights to the development of innovative and useful artificial intelligence (AI) systems. Therefore, we need to raise attention and curiosity for AI and foster the willingness to engage with it among psychology students. This requires identifying approaches to integrate a general understanding of AI technology into formal psychological training and education. This study investigated to what extent psychology students currently accept and use AI and what affects their perception and usage. Therefore, an AI acceptance model based on established technology acceptance models was developed and tested in a sample of 218 psychology students. An acceptable fit with the data was found for an adapted version. Perceived usefulness and ease of use were most predictive for the students’ attitude towards AI; attitude itself, as well as perceived usefulness, social norm, and perceived knowledge, were predictors for the intention to use AI. In summary, we identified relevant factors for designing AI training approaches in psychology curricula. In this way, possible restraints regarding the use of AI can be reduced and its beneficial opportunities exploited in psychological contexts.

Abstract
Background Teleophthalmology provides evidence-based, telehealth diabetic retinopathy screening that is underused even when readily available in primary care clinics. There is an urgent need to increase teleophthalmology use in the US primary care clinics. In this study, we describe the development of a tailored teleophthalmology implementation program and report outcomes related to primary care provider (PCP) adoption. Methods We applied the 5 principles and 10 steps of the NIATx healthcare process improvement model to develop and test I-SITE (Implementation for Sustained Impact in Teleophthalmology) in a rural, the US multi-payer health system. This implementation program allows patients and clinical stakeholders to systematically tailor teleophthalmology implementation to their local context. We aligned I-SITE components and implementation strategies to an updated ERIC (Expert Recommendations for Implementing Change) framework. We compared teleophthalmology adoption between PCPs who did or did not participate in various components of I-SITE. We surveyed PCPs and clinical staff to identify the strategies they believed to have the highest impact on teleophthalmology use. Results To test I-SITE, we initiated a year-long series of 14 meetings with clinical stakeholders (n=22) and met quarterly with patient stakeholders (n=9) in 2017. Clinical and patient stakeholder groups had 90.9% and 88.9% participant retention at 1 year, respectively. The increase in teleophthalmology use was greater among PCPs participating in the I-SITE implementation team than among other PCPs (p < 0.006). The proportion of all PCPs who used the implementation strategy of electing diabetic eye screening for their annual performance-based financial incentive increased from 0% (n=0) at baseline to 56% (n=14) following I-SITE implementation (p = 0.004). PCPs and clinical staff reported the following implementation strategies as having the highest impact on teleophthalmology use: reminders to ask patients about diabetic eye screening during clinic visits, improving electronic health record (EHR) documentation, and patient outreach. Conclusions We applied the NIATx Model to develop and test a teleophthalmology implementation program for tailored integration into primary care clinics. The NIATx Model provides a systematic approach to engaging key stakeholders for tailoring implementation of evidence-based telehealth interventions into their local context.
