Abstract
BACKGROUND Oncological treatments lead to physical and emotional difficulties with notable consequences in everyday life. Thus, integrated interventions that can promote quality of life are needed. Since current studies suggest that integrated programs of both physical exercises and psychological sessions can promote positive emotions, this pilot study aims to explore the impact of a one-week intervention that combines sailing activities and psychological support. METHODS Twenty-nine breast cancer survivors took part in this study. Before and after the intervention, participants were invited to answer three open questions to evaluate their perceptions of personal evaluations about their relationships and emotions. A Qualitative Thematic Analysis was used to evaluate participants' answers and to compare the sub-themes that emerged in the two times. RESULTS Findings highlighted three main themes: a) caregivers and emotional closeness - family members are generally a crucial point of reference for participants. Friends, colleagues, and healthcare professionals were also cited as relevant figures during the cancer journey and after the psychological intervention; b) emotions towards others - positive and negative emotions towards these figures emerged, and some women felt alone, and c) emotions towards oneself - exploring emotions related to themselves highlighted positive and negative feelings and the desire for change to promote love and care towards themselves. Interestingly, the number of negative emotions towards themselves decreased after the intervention. CONCLUSIONS The integrated intervention could promote the reflection on personal relationships and emotions.

Abstract
Younger breast cancer survivors (YBCS) consistently report poorer quality of life (QOL) than older survivors. Increasing physical activity (PA) may improve QOL, but this has been understudied in YBCS. This single arm pilot study evaluated the feasibility and acceptability of a 3-month, peer-delivered, remote intervention to increase PA and improve QOL in YBCS. Data were collected from October 2019 - July 2020. Participants (n = 34, 43.1 ± 5.5 years old, 46 ± 34.4 months post-diagnosis, BMI = 30.2 ± 7.4 kg/m2) completed six video sessions with a trained peer mentor; self-monitored PA with a Fitbit activity tracker; and interacted with a private Fitbit Community for social support. At baseline, 3-and 6-months, participants completed QOL questionnaires and PA was measured through accelerometer (moderate-to-vigorous PA [MVPA]) and self-report (strength and flexibility). A parallel mixed-methods approach (qualitative interviews and quantitative satisfaction survey at 3-months) explored intervention feasibility and acceptability. One-way repeated-measures ANOVAs examined impacts on PA and QOL at 3-and 6-months. The intervention was feasible as evidenced by efficient recruitment, high retention, and adherence to intervention components. Remote delivery, working with a peer mentor, and using Fitbit tools were highly acceptable. From baseline to 3-months, participants increased time spent in objectively measured MVPA, strength, and flexibility exercises, and reported meaningful improvements to body image, fatigue, anxiety, and emotional support. A fully remote, peer-to-peer intervention is an acceptable and promising strategy to increase PA and improve QOL in YBCS. Refinements to the intervention and its delivery should be further assessed in future studies, toward the goal of disseminating an evidence-based, scalable intervention to the growing number of YBCS.Trial registration Prospectively registered as NCT04064892.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The relationship with the body is a relevant issue for breast cancer survivors. Oncological treatments damage their bodies due to scars, weight gain, and other side effects. Starting from the efficacy of psychological interventions for breast cancer survivors, a tailored psychological support program was provided to promote overall well-being after illness dealing with bodily signals and related emotions and thoughts. This study presents changes in the description of the relationship with their bodies as well as participants' emotions and thoughts before and after a psychological intervention. METHODS AND MEASURES Eighteen women answered questions related to their bodies before and after the psychological intervention. Results were analyzed in accordance with the procedure of the Word Association Analysis through the T-Lab software and the Qualitative Thematic Analysis. RESULTS Participants reported a great awareness of their bodies and the desire to take care of them daily. In particular, the body is now perceived as a helper to sustain breast cancer survivors in their everyday activities. CONCLUSION The words and the themes that characterized the participants' reports highlighted the impact of cancer diagnosis and oncological therapies on breast cancer survivors. The participation in the psychological intervention focused on self-compassion towards their body helps women to create an improved body perception.

Abstract
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES To systematically examine the effect of peer mentoring applied to patients with cancer on physical activity. DESIGN Systematic review and meta-analysis. METHODS This systematic review and meta-analysis was conducted as a result of reviewing randomised controlled trials. No year limitation was set, and studies published in English were included in the study. Web of Science, Science Direct, PubMed, ProQuest, EBSCOhost/CINAHL Complete, Springer Link, Cochrane Library, MEDLINE and Ovid databases were searched up to January 2022. The Comprehensive Meta-Analysis 3 software was used to analyse the meta-analysis data. PRISMA was employed. The Cochrane Collaboration tool was evaluated by two independent researchers. RESULTS Six studies with a total of 1.551 participants were included in the meta-analysis. The results showed that peer mentoring had positive medium effects on the physical activity process (95% Cl = 0.15 to 0.49, p < .001 and Hedge's g = 0.322). The results of the sensitivity analysis confirmed the reliability of the outcome measures. CONCLUSIONS Peer mentoring was found to have positive effects on improving the level of physical activity in patients with cancer. The use of peer mentoring can offer a holistic perspective by improving the quality and functional status of care. RELEVANCE TO CLINICAL PRACTICE Peer mentoring can be beneficial in terms of being a comfortable method and improving the physical activity levels of patients. In addition, health professionals' awareness of peer mentoring in terms of the provision of holistic care will increase.

Characteristics of Asian-American Breast Cancer Survivors Retained in a 3-Month Technology-Based Intervention. Cancer Nurs 2022; 45:E766-E774. Abstract
BACKGROUND Technology-based intervention programs are known to be effective in approaching socially excluded groups or racial/ethnic minorities, including this specific population. However, the retention of participants in technology-based intervention studies is far more complicated and challenging compared with conventional studies targeting racial/ethnic minorities. OBJECTIVE This study aimed to identify the complex characteristics of the groups within Asian American breast cancer survivors who were successfully retained in a 3-month technology-based intervention study. METHODS This secondary analysis of the data from a larger ongoing intervention study included 155 Asian American breast cancer survivors. Major variables were measured using multiple instruments including the questions on characteristics of the participants, the Personal Resource Questionnaire, perceived isolation, Memorial Symptom Assessment Scale-Short Form, Cancer Behavior Inventory, 34-item Supportive Care Needs Survey Short Form, and Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy Scale-Breast Cancer. Data analyses were done through χ2 tests, t tests, and decision tree analyses. RESULTS The retention rates differed by subethnicity (P = .025), immigration age (P < .001), and stage of breast cancer (P = .003). The decision tree indicated four groups with the highest probability of retention: (a) those who were diagnosed with stage II, III, or IV breast cancer, (b) those who immigrated to the United States after turning 31 years old, and (c) those who had high perceived barriers. CONCLUSION This study provides directions for future retention strategies for technology-based interventions among Asian American breast cancer survivors. IMPLICATIONS FOR PRACTICE Participants' characteristics need to be considered in developing retain strategies for technology-based interventions among Asian American breast cancer survivors.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted multiple aspects of daily living, including behaviors associated with occupation, transportation, and health. It is unclear how these changes to daily living have impacted physical activity and sedentary behavior. OBJECTIVE In this study, we add to the growing body of research on the health impact of the COVID-19 pandemic by examining longitudinal changes in objectively measured daily physical activity and sedentary behavior among overweight or obese young adults participating in an ongoing weight loss trial in San Diego, California. METHODS Data were collected from 315 overweight or obese (BMI: range 25.0-39.9 kg/m2) participants aged from 18 to 35 years between November 1, 2019, and October 30, 2020, by using the Fitbit Charge 3 (Fitbit LLC). After conducting strict filtering to find valid data on consistent wear (>10 hours per day for ≥250 days), data from 97 participants were analyzed to detect multiple structural changes in time series of physical activity and sedentary behavior. An algorithm was designed to detect multiple structural changes. This allowed for the automatic identification and dating of these changes in linear regression models with CIs. The number of breakpoints in regression models was estimated by using the Bayesian information criterion and residual sum of squares; the optimal segmentation corresponded to the lowest Bayesian information criterion and residual sum of squares. To quantify the changes in each outcome during the periods identified, linear mixed effects analyses were conducted. In terms of key demographic characteristics, the 97 participants included in our analyses did not differ from the 210 participants who were excluded. RESULTS After the initiation of the shelter-in-place order in California on March 19, 2021, there were significant decreases in step counts (-2872 steps per day; 95% CI -2734 to -3010), light physical activity times (-41.9 minutes; 95% CI -39.5 to -44.3), and moderate-to-vigorous physical activity times (-12.2 minutes; 95% CI -10.6 to -13.8), as well as significant increases in sedentary behavior times (+52.8 minutes; 95% CI 47.0-58.5). The decreases were greater than the expected declines observed during winter holidays, and as of October 30, 2020, they have not returned to the levels observed prior to the initiation of shelter-in-place orders. CONCLUSIONS Among overweight or obese young adults, physical activity times decreased and sedentary behavior times increased concurrently with the implementation of COVID-19 mitigation strategies. The health conditions associated with a sedentary lifestyle may be additional, unintended results of the COVID-19 pandemic.
