Abstract
Background The vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) signaling pathway is closely related to pathological angiogenesis in liver disease. Anti-angiogenesis is an effective intervention in the clinical treatment of liver disease. Some antiangiogenic drugs are resistant and have limitations in clinical use. Methods This research uses bibliometric methods to assess the literature on the VEGF signaling pathway in liver disease from 2008 to 2023. Results The number of publications has generally increased over the past 16 years, meaning that enormous researchers are interested in this field. China and the USA have published the most articles and cooperate closely with each other. Plos one has published the largest number of articles in this area, and Hepatology and Journal of Hepatology is the most authoritative journal. Llovet JM is an outstanding researcher in the field with the highest citations. Keywords and research hotspots analysis indicated that researchers are very concerned about the application and clinical research status of anti-angiogenic drugs in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Continuing to deepen the research on the use of anti-angiogenic drugs alone and in combination is necessary. In addition, the resistance of anti-angiogenic therapeutic drugs leads to a complex mechanism of angiogenesis response caused by hypoxia, which requires further research. Conclusions This study analyzed the research situation related to the VEGF signaling pathway in liver disease from a bibliometric and visual perspective. Our analysis helps researchers better understand the research directions and hotspots in this area, enabling them to better carry out research in the future.

Abstract
Breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related death among women globally. Immunotherapy has emerged as a major milestone in contemporary oncology. This study aims to conduct a bibliometric analysis in the field of immunotherapy for breast cancer, providing a comprehensive overview of the current research status, identifying trends and hotspots in research topics. We searched and retrieved data from the Web of Science Core Collection, and performed a bibliometric analysis of publications on immunotherapy for breast cancer from 2013 to 2022. Current status and hotspots were evaluated by co-occurrence analysis using VOSviewer. Evolution and bursts of knowledge base were assessed by co-citation analysis using CiteSpace. Thematic evolution by bibliometrix package was used to discover keywords trends. The attribution and collaboration of countries/regions, institutions and authors were also explored. A total of 7,975 publications were included. In co-occurrence analysis of keywords, 6 major clusters were revealed: tumor microenvironment, prognosis biomarker, immune checkpoints, novel drug delivery methods, immune cells and therapeutic approaches. The top three most frequently mentioned keywords were tumor microenvironment, triple-negative breast cancer, and programmed cell death ligand 1. The most productive country, institution and author were the USA (2926 publications), the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center (219 publications), and Sherene Loi (28 publications), respectively. There has been a rapid growth in studies on immunotherapy for breast cancer worldwide. This research area has gained increasing attention from different countries and institutions. With the rising incidence of breast cancer, immunotherapy represents a research field of significant clinical value and potential.

Abstract
AIM The objective of this research is to assess the cost-effectiveness of combining camrelizumab with rivoceranib in comparison to sorafenib as first-line therapeutic options for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma from the Chinese medical system perspective. METHODS A partitioned survival model was employed to perform a comprehensive cost-effectiveness analysis. This analysis incorporated multiple factors, such as treatment effectiveness, adverse events and costs, all of which were derived from data obtained from the CARES-310 trial. Furthermore, sensitivity analyses were conducted to evaluate the robustness and reliability of the model. RESULTS The comparison between the two groups demonstrated that the cohort receiving camrelizumab combined with rivoceranib exhibited a significant increase of 0.803 quality-adjusted life year (QALY), alongside an additional expenditure of US$7345.051. This computation resulted in an incremental cost-effectiveness ratio of US$9147.012 per QALY, which was lower than the willingness-to-pay threshold of US$39 855.785 per QALY in China. Sensitivity analyses conducted in this study further demonstrated the robustness of the results across various assumptions. CONCLUSION The adoption of camrelizumab plus rivoceranib as a treatment option is not only associated with improved health outcomes but also represents a cost-effective choice in China.

Abstract
Ankle cartilage injuries are a common sports-related condition that significantly impairs patients' daily activities and imposes substantial economic burdens on both families and society. Effective cartilage repair strategies are crucial to addressing this pathological condition. Current conservative treatments include muscle strengthening, use of ankle braces, physical therapy, and the administration of NSAIDs. In cases of severe injury, surgical interventions such as osteophyte resection and cartilage transplantation may be necessary. However, the inherent regenerative capacity of articular cartilage is limited, and conventional treatments are insufficient to promote cartilage regeneration and repair. Consequently, innovative therapies such as stem cell therapy, exosome therapy, and cartilage regeneration scaffolds are prioritized for future development. In recent years, significant progress has been made in ankle cartilage repair. While bibliometric studies on cartilage repair exist, specific analyses focused on ankle cartilage repair are lacking. This study aims to address this gap by conducting a bibliometric analysis of 131 articles published over the past two decades, highlighting development trajectories, research hotspots, and evolutionary trends through knowledge mapping. Our findings indicate growing global interest, with the United States leading in international collaboration, funding, publication output, and citation frequency. Foot & Ankle International emerges as the leading journal for publication and dissemination in this field, with Kerkhoffs GMMJ identified as the most influential author. Notable hotspot keywords include "osteochondral lesions" and "platelet-rich plasma." By highlighting critical research hotspots and collaboration patterns, this study not only enriches the existing literature on ankle cartilage repair but also serves as a foundational resource for clinicians and researchers aiming to develop innovative strategies for improving patient outcomes. Furthermore, our findings underscore the necessity of interdisciplinary collaboration in advancing the understanding and treatment of ankle cartilage injuries. Ultimately, the visual characterization of these trends provides valuable insights into the field's evolutionary trajectory, offering guidelines for future research directions and encouraging further exploration of this promising area.

Abstract
Objective The objective of this study is to build and verify the performance of machine learning-based ultrasomics in predicting the objective response to combination therapy involving a tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) and anti-PD-1 antibody for individuals with unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Radiomic features can reflect the internal heterogeneity of the tumor and changes in its microenvironment. These features are closely related to pathological changes observed in histology, such as cellular necrosis and fibrosis, providing crucial non-invasive biomarkers to predict patient treatment response and prognosis. Methods Clinical, pathological, and pre-treatment ultrasound image data of 134 patients with recurrent unresectable or advanced HCC who treated with a combination of TKI and anti-PD-1 antibody therapy at Henan Provincial People's Hospital and the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University between December 2019 and November 2023 were collected and retrospectively analyzed. Using stratified random sampling, patients from the two hospitals were assigned to training cohort (n = 93) and validation cohort (n = 41) at a 7:3 ratio. After preprocessing the ultrasound images, regions of interest (ROIs) were delineated. Ultrasomic features were extracted from the images for dimensionality reduction and feature selection. By utilizing the extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost) algorithm, three models were developed: a clinical model, an ultrasomic model, and a combined model. By analyzing the area under the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve (AUC), specificity, sensitivity, and accuracy, the predicted performance of the models was evaluated. In addition, we identified the optimal cutoff for the radiomic score using the Youden index and applied it to stratify patients. The Kaplan-Meier (KM) survival curves were used to examine differences in progression-free survival (PFS) between the two groups. Results Twenty ultrasomic features were selected for the construction of the ultrasomic model. The AUC of the ultrasomic model for the training cohort and validation cohort were 0.999 (95%CI: 0.997-1.000) and 0.828 (95%CI: 0.690-0.966), which compared significant favorably to those of the clinical model [AUC = 0.876 (95%CI: 0.815-0.936) for the training cohort, 0.766 (95%CI: 0.597-0.935) for the validation cohort]. Compared to the ultrasomic model, the combined model demonstrated comparable performance within the training cohort (AUC = 0.977, 95%CI: 0.957-0.998) but higher performance in the validation cohort (AUC = 0.881, 95%CI: 0.758-1.000). However, there was no statistically significant difference (p > 0.05). Furthermore, ultrasomic features were associated with PFS, which was significantly different between patients with radiomic scores (Rad-score) greater than 0.057 and those with Rad-score less than 0.057 in both the training (HR = 0.488, 95% CI: 0.299-0.796, p = 0.003) and validation cohorts (HR = 0.451, 95% CI: 0.229-0.887, p = 0.02). Conclusion The ultrasomic features demonstrates excellent performance in accurately predicting the objective response to TKI in combination with anti-PD-1 antibody immunotherapy among patients with unresectable or advanced HCC.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Over the past three decades, endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress has gained considerable attention in the field of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) with an increasing number of publications. It is crucial to reveal the global status, research hotspots and future research trends of ER stress in HCC. The aim of this study is to analyze the publications related to ER stress in HCC through bibliometric analysis in order to better understand the current status of ER stress research in HCC and to identify potential new research directions. METHODS In this study, articles and reviews on ER stress in HCC up to December 31, 2023 were searched and downloaded from the Science Citation Index-Expanded (SCIE) of the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC), Pubmed, Scopus and Embase databases. Using CiteSpace 6.2.R6, VOSviewer 1.6.19, Scimago Graphica and Microsoft Office Excel 2019, the knowledge networks of a variety of countries, regions, authors, references, keywords and journals were analyzed. RESULTS A total of 1239 publications were retrieved, including 843 articles and 396 review articles. The number of global publications is increasing every year, with the majority of publications coming from China and the USA. Ih-Jen Su, Wenya Huang and Wei Wei are the top 3 prolific authors. "Progression", "inflammation", "cell cycle arrest", "metabolism", "snsignaling pathways", "pathogenesis" and "non-alcoholic fatty liver disease" have emerged as research hotspots in recent years. The journal with the greatest co-citation is Hepatology. CONCLUSIONS Based on current global trends, the total number of publications on ER stress in HCC research will continue to increase, but there is a need for more cooperation between authors and countries/regions. ER stress in HCC will continue to be a research priority. Abstract
Background Intervertebral disc degeneration (IDD) is a chronic disabling disease caused by degeneration of nucleus pulposus cells, decreased activity and the number of nucleus pulposus cells, decreased extracellular matrix, and infiltration of inflammatory factors, resulting in low back and leg pain. Recent studies have shown that non-surgical treatment is of great significance in reversing the progression of degenerative disc disease, and there are more relevant literature reports. However, there is no bibliometric analysis in this area. This study aimed to describe the knowledge structure and thematic trends of non-surgical treatment methods for IDD through bibliometrics. Methods Articles and reviews on non-surgical treatment of disc degeneration from 1998 to 2022 were collected on the Web of Science. VOSviewer 1.6.18, CiteSpace 6.1.R3, R package "bibliometrix" and two online analysis platforms were used for bibliometric and visual literature analysis. Results 961 articles were screened for inclusion, including 821 articles and 140 reviews. The analysis of our study shows that publications in the non-surgical treatment of disc degeneration are increasing annually, with publications coming mainly from North America and Asia, with China and the United States dominating. Huazhong Univ Sci & Technol and Wang K are the most prolific institutions and authors, respectively, and Le Maitre CL is the most co-cited author. However, there is less collaboration between institutions in different countries. Spine is both the most published and the most cited journal. According to the co-citation and co-occurrence analysis results, "mesenchymal stem cells," "exosomes," "medication," and "tissue engineering" are the current research hotspots in this field. Conclusions This study employs bibliometric analysis to explore the knowledge structure and trends of non-surgical treatments for IDD from 2013 to 2022. Key research hotspots include mesenchymal stem cells, exosomes, medication, and tissue engineering. The number of publications, especially from China and the USA, has increased significantly, though international collaboration needs improvement. Influential contributors include Wang K and the journal Spine. These findings provide a comprehensive overview and highlight important future directions for the field.

Abstract
SCOPE Lactoferrin (LF) is an iron-bound protein with a molecular weight of about 80 kDa. LF has many biological functions such as antibacterial, antiviral, immunomodulatory, and anticancer. The purpose of this study is to explore the research trend of LF through bibliometric analysis. METHODS AND RESULTS The search is conducted in the Web of Science Core Collection database, and then the publications information of LF related literature is exported. Based on CiteSpace and VOSviewer software, countries, institutions, authors, journals, keywords, and so on are analyzed. Since 1987, a total of 9382 literature have been included, and the number of papers related to LF has increased year by year. These publications come mainly from 124 countries and 725 institutions. Of the 1256 authors analyzed, Valenti Piera is the one with the most publications. The burst strength of gut microbiota, antioxidant, nanoparticles, and in vitro digestion are 21.3, 15.63, 23.03, and 13.51, respectively. They represent the frontier of research in this field and are developing rapidly. CONCLUSION This study shows that LF has important research value. The study of LF nanoparticles and the effects of LF on the gut microbiota are an emerging field that helps to explore new research directions.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Malignant tumors are one of the leading causes of death worldwide, imposing a substantial economic and social burden. Early detection is the key to improving cure rates and reducing mortality rates, which requires the development of sensitive early detection technologies. Signal amplification techniques play a crucial role in aptamer-based early detection of tumors and are increasingly garnering attention from researchers. AIM To investigate the current research status, developmental trajectories, and hotspots in signal amplification for aptamer-based tumor detection through bibliometric analysis. METHODS English publications pertaining to signal amplification in aptamer-based tumor detection were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection database. VOSviewer and CiteSpace software were employed to analyze various information within this field, including countries, institutions, authors, co-cited authors, journals, co-cited journals, cited references, and keywords. RESULTS A total of 757 publications were included in this study. China accounted for 85.47% of all publications, with Nanjing University (China) emerging as the institution with the highest publication output. The most influential authors and journals were Hasanzadeh M. from Iran and "Biosensors and Bioelectronics", respectively. Exosomes and carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) stood out as the most researched tumor-related molecules. Currently, the predominant signal amplification technique, nanomaterial, and signal transduction method were identified as hybridization chain reactions, gold nanoparticles, and electrochemical methods, respectively. Over the past 3 years, exosomes, CEA, electrochemical biosensors, and nanosheets have emerged as research hotspots, exhibiting a robust burst of intensity. CONCLUSION This study is the first bibliometric analysis of literature on signal amplification in aptamer-based tumor detection and elucidates the current status, hotspots, and prospective research directions within this realm. Additionally, it provides an important reference for researchers.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Liver cancer (LC) is a prevalent malignancy and a leading cause of cancer-related mortality worldwide. Extensive research has been conducted to enhance patient outcomes and develop effective prevention strategies, ranging from molecular mechanisms to clinical interventions. Single-cell sequencing, as a novel bioanalysis technology, has significantly contributed to the understanding of the global cognition and dynamic changes in liver cancer. However, there is a lack of bibliometric analysis in this specific research area. Therefore, the objective of this study is to provide a comprehensive overview of the knowledge structure and research hotspots in the field of single-cell sequencing in liver cancer research through the use of bibliometrics. METHOD Publications related to the application of single-cell sequencing technology to liver cancer research as of December 31, 2023, were searched on the web of science core collection (WoSCC) database. VOSviewers, CiteSpace, and R package "bibliometrix" were used to conduct this bibliometric analysis. RESULTS A total of 331 publications from 34 countries, primarily led by China and the United States, were included in this study. The research focuses on the application of single cell sequencing technology to liver cancer, and the number of related publications has been increasing year by year. The main research institutions involved in this field are Fudan University, Sun Yat-Sen University, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Frontiers in Immunology and Nature Communications is the most popular journal in this field, while Cell is the most frequently co-cited journal. These publications are authored by 2799 individuals, with Fan Jia and Zhou Jian having the most published papers, and Llovet Jm being the most frequently co-cited author. The use of single cell sequencing to explore the immune microenvironment of liver cancer, as well as its implications in immunotherapy and chemotherapy, remains the central focus of this field. The emerging research hotspots are characterized by keywords such as 'Gene-Expression', 'Prognosis', 'Tumor Heterogeneity', 'Immunoregulation', and 'Tumor Immune Microenvironment'. CONCLUSION This is the first bibliometric study that comprehensively summarizes the research trends and developments on the application of single cell sequencing in liver cancer. The study identifies recent research frontiers and hot directions, providing a valuable reference for researchers exploring the landscape of liver cancer, understanding the composition of the immune microenvironment, and utilizing single-cell sequencing technology to guide and enhance the prognosis of liver cancer patients.

Abstract
The prevention and early diagnosis of liver cancer remains a global medical challenge. During the malignant transformation of hepatocytes, a variety of oncogenic cellular signalling molecules, such as novel high mobility group-Box 3, angiopoietin-2, Golgi protein 73, glypican-3, Wnt3a (a signalling molecule in the Wnt/β-catenin pathway), and secretory clusterin, can be expressed and secreted into the blood. These signalling molecules are derived from different signalling pathways and may not only participate in the malignant transformation of hepatocytes but also become early diagnostic indicators of hepatocarcinogenesis or specific targeted molecules for hepatocellular carcinoma therapy. This article reviews recent progress in the study of several signalling molecules as sensitive biomarkers for monitoring hepatocarcinogenesis.

Abstract
Objective COVID-19 led to a horrific global pandemic, with strict lockdowns and prolonged indoor stays increasing the risk of mental health problems, affecting people of different ages, genders, regions, and types of work to varying degrees. This study provides a bibliometric summary of the knowledge map related to mental health during and post COVID-19 pandemic. Methods Publications related to mental health during and post COVID-19 pandemic were searched in the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) database through March 19, 2024. After screening the search results, the literature included in the final was first quantitatively analyzed using GraphPad Prism software and then visualized using VOSviewer, CiteSpace, and R (the bibliometrix package). Results The 7,047 publications from 110 countries were included, with the highest number of publications from China and the United States, and the number of publications related to mental health during and post the COVID-19 pandemic increased annually until 2023, after which it began to decline. The major institutions were University of Toronto, University of London, Harvard University, King's College London, University College London, University of California System, University of Melbourne, Institut National De La Sante Et De La Recherche Medicale (Inserm), Mcgill University, and University of Ottawa; Frontiers in Psychiatry had the highest number of publications, and the Journal of Affective Disorders had the highest number of co-citations; 36,486 authors included, with Xiang, Yu-Tao, Cheung, Teris, Chung, Seockhoon published the most papers, and World Health Organization, Kroenke K, and Wang CY were the most co-cited; epidemiologically relevant studies on mental health related to COVID-19, and the importance of mental health during normalized epidemic prevention and control are the main directions of this research area, especially focusing on children's mental health; "pandemic," "sars-cov-2," "epidemic," "depression," "coronavirus anxiety," "anxiety," "longitudinal," "child," "coronavirus anxiety," "longitudinal," "child," and "coronavirus" are the top keywords in recent years. Conclusion This comprehensive bibliometric study summarizes research trends and advances in mental health during and after the COVID-19 Pandemic. It serves as a reference for mental health research scholars during and after the COVID-19 pandemic, clarifying recent research preoccupations and topical directions.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE This study conducts a bibliometric analysis of literature on the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) with traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) to explore its research status, hotspots, and development trends, providing ideas and references for further research. METHOD We screened literature for treating IBD with TCM from the Web of Science Core Collection (WOSCC), and used the VOSviewer software (1.6.18) to discover cooperation among countries, institutions, authors, and information on journals, keywords, etc. We use the CiteSpace software (6.2.R2) to analyze co-citation and burst discovery of references. RESULTS In all, 440 relevant literature papers were searched and screened from the WOSCC database. The results showed that the number of publications concerning treating IBD with TCM has shown a significant growth in the past decade. China is far ahead in terms of article output, occupying a dominant position. The institution with the most published articles is Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The authors who have published most of the articles are Dai Yancheng, Shi Rui, and Zhou Lian. The Journal of Ethnopharmacology published maximum articles in this field, while Gastroenterology was the most cited journal. Ungaro et al.'s article entitled "Ulcerative colitis" (https://doi.org/10.1016/S0140-6736(16)32126-2), published in The Lancet in 2017 was the most cited study. The high-frequency keywords mainly include ulcerative colitis, inflammation, NF-κB, expression, traditional Chinese medicine, gut microbiota, activation, mice, cells, etc. CONCLUSIONS The research heat for treating IBD with TCM has risen over the past decade, with studies focusing on three main aspects: clinical studies of TCM, basic pharmacology, and animal experimental research. The research hotspot shifted from pathogenesis, clinical study of TCM, basic pharmacology, and complementary therapies to the study of network pharmacology and the mechanism of action of TCM related to gut microbiota. Network pharmacology and gut microbiota are at the frontiers of research and turning to be the future research trends to provide new insights and ideas for further research for treating IBD with TCM.

Accordingly, this investigation endeavored to meticulously assess the evolution of autophagy research, employing bibliometric citation analysis to offer a comprehensive evaluation of the findings in this field. METHODS The authors conducted a literature search on 2 August 2023, to extract relevant publications spanning from 2013 to 2022, indexed in the Science Citation Index-Expanded (SCIE) of the Web of Science Core Collection (WOSCC). Subsequently, the authors performed a bibliometric assessment of the compiled documents using visualization tools such as CiteSpace and VOSviewer. RESULTS The search yielded 734 publications penned by 4699 authors, encompassing contributions from 41 countries and 909 institutions, disseminated across 272 journals, and comprising 26 295 co-cited references from 2667 journals. Notably, China led in publication volume with 264 articles (amounting to 35.9%) and exhibited the most robust collaboration with the United States. The mechanisms underlying autophagy's influence on the emergence and advancement of HCC, as well as the implicated proteins and genes, have garnered significant attention. In recent years, investigations of targeting autophagy and the resistance to sorafenib have surfaced as pivotal themes and emerging frontiers in this domain. CONCLUSIONS This study rigorously collated and distilled the prevailing research narratives and novel insights on autophagy in HCC. The resultant synthesis provides a substantive foundation for medical professionals and researchers, as well as pivotal implications for future investigative endeavors in this arena.

Abstract
Background In recent years, with the widespread use of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) in cancer treatment, the toxicity associated with immunotherapy of ICIs has attracted more attention from scholars. Endocrine toxicity is the most likely immune-related adverse events (irAEs) and is often irreversible, posing a significant clinical treatment challenge. Methods In this study, bibliometric methods were used to analyze relevant literature in screening endocrine-related adverse events caused by ICIs in the Web of Science core collection database (WoSCC) and to summarize the status, research hot spots, and future trends in this field. Results 321 countries, 297 institutions, 365 authors, and 305 journals had published 671 English documents on endocrine adverse reactions of ICIs as of 1 December, 2022. The United States, Japan, and China were the top three countries with the most publications. The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Harvard Medical School, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center were the top three research institutions in terms of publication output. F Stephen Hodi, from the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in the United States, contributed the largest number of publications. Frontiers in Oncology, which was the most widely distributed publication in the field. The main keywords or clusters identified that current research hotspots include the management of endocrine-related adverse events, hypophysitis, thyroid dysfunction, type I diabetes mellitus, and the impact of endocrine adverse events on survival of patients in this field. Conclusion The basic knowledge structure of the field of endocrine-related adverse events of ICIs, including publication trends, authors, institutions, countries, keywords, journals and publications, and cited documents, was visually analyzed in this bibliometric analysis. The research results comprehensively demonstrated the hot spots and future trends in the research field, as well as its broad prospects, thus providing a reference for the researchers.

Abstract
Apatinib has been shown to apply to a variety of solid tumors, including advanced hepatocellular carcinoma. Preclinical and preliminary clinical results confirmed the synergistic antitumor effects of apatinib in combination with anti-programmed death-1 (PD-1) inhibitors. In this study, we investigated camptothecin (CPT) enhances the anti-tumor effect of low-dose apatinib combined with PD-1 inhibitor on hepatocellular carcinoma. CPT combined with a PD-1 inhibitor enhances the anti-tumor effects of low-dose apatinib in hepatocellular carcinoma which was evaluated in making use of the H22 mouse model (n = 32), which was divided into four groups. Immunohistochemical staining and western blotting were used to detect nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) as well as sequestosome 1 (p62), vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGFA), vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR2), PD-1, and programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1). The results showed that the average size of the tumor of the combination group (Group D) was significantly less than that of the apatinib + PD-1 inhibitor group (Group C). The expression levels of Nrf2, p62, VEGFA, VEGFR2, PD-1, and PD-L1 in the apatinib + PD-1 inhibitor group(Group C) were lower than those in the control group (Group A) (P < 0.05). The expression levels of these genes in the apatinib + PD-1 inhibitor group (Group C) were significantly lower in the combination group (Group D) (P < 0.05). There was no obvious difference in body weight and liver and kidney functions between the four groups of mice. In conclusion, CPT improves the anti-tumor effect of low-dose apatinib combined with PD-1 inhibitor on hepatocellular carcinoma.

Abstract
Background Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a brain function injury caused by external mechanical injury. Primary and secondary injuries cause neurological deficits that mature brain tissue cannot repair itself. Stem cells can self-renewal and differentiate, the research of stem cells in the pathogenesis and treatment of TBI has made significant progress in recent years. However, numerous articles must be summarized to analyze hot spots and predict trends. This study aims to provide a panorama of knowledge and research hotspots through bibliometrics. Method We searched in the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) database to identify articles pertaining to TBI and stem cells published between 2000 and 2022. Visualization knowledge maps, including co-authorship, co-citation, and co-occurrence analysis were generated by VOSviewer, CiteSpace, and the R package "bibliometrix." Results We retrieved a total of 459 articles from 45 countries. The United States and China contributed the majority of publications. The number of publications related to TBI and stem cells is increasing yearly. Tianjin Medical University was the most prolific institution, and Professor Charles S. Cox, Jr. from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston was the most influential author. The Journal of Neurotrauma has published the most research articles on TBI and stem cells. Based on the burst references, "immunomodulation," "TBI," and "cellular therapy" have been regarded as research hotspots in the field. The keywords co-occurrence analysis revealed that "exosomes," "neuroinflammation," and "microglia" were essential research directions in the future. Conclusion Research on TBI and stem cells has shown a rapid growth trend in recent years. Existing studies mainly focus on the activation mechanism of endogenous neural stem cells and how to make exogenous stem cell therapy more effective. The combination with bioengineering technology is the trend in this field. Topics related to exosomes and immune regulation may be the future focus of TBI and stem cell research.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Although Klotho-related research has seen a significant upsurge, the field lacks comprehensive analytical representation and in-depth exploration of pertinent areas such as prevailing research trends and key focus areas. METHOD This review presents a bibliometric analysis of literature data gathered from the Web of Science Core Collection databases from January 1, 2000, to April 30, 2023. Parameters such as co-authorship, co-citation, co-occurrence, and the emergence of publications, countries, categories, references, and keywords were scrutinized predominantly using Citespace software. RESULTS Our investigation amassed a total of 3548 papers, with the United States leading in the quantity of publications (1175, accounting for 33.12%), followed by China (867, representing 24.44%), and Japan (439, accounting for 12.37%). While the United States is preeminent in the overall volume of publications, Scotland holds prominence in terms of centrality. Out of a total of 96 subject categories, urology and nephrology (573), and endocrinology and metabolism (542) were the two leading domains of Klotho-related publications. The 2011 paper titled "FGF23 induces left ventricular hypertrophy" by Faul C et al. holds the distinction of being the most frequently cited. The keywords "fibroblast growth factor 23," "phosphate homeostasis," and "functional variants" demonstrated the highest intensity, underscoring the potential of these research areas. CONCLUSION As the volume of literature grows, the role of Klotho in disease management and its applicability as a marker in disease progression warrant vigilant tracking and study.

Abstract
Various immunotherapy has been greatly applied to comprehensive treatment of malignant cancer under different degrees of tumor burden. Scientific researchers have gained considerable progress in the relationship between immunotherapy and tumor burden in recent years. This review aimed to explore the prospect and developing trends in the field of tumor burden and immunotherapy from a bibliometric perspective. Articles about tumor burden and immunotherapy were collected from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) (retrieved on 3 January 2023). The R package 'Bibliometrix' analyzed the primary bibliometric features and created a three-filed plot to display the relationship between institutions, countries, and keywords. VOSviewer was used for co-authorship analysis, co-occurrence analysis, and their visualization. And CiteSpace calculated the citation burst references and keywords. A total of 1030 publications were retrieved from 35 years of scientific researches. The United States (US) and China published the most articles. The most productive journals were Cancer Immunology Immunotherapy and Journal for ImmunoTherapy of Cancer . The top one institution of the highest output was University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. The hot keywords of strong citation burst strength in recent years were 'nivolumab', 'tumor microenvironment', and 'immune checkpoint inhibitor'. The most popular tumor type is melanoma. This bibliometric analysis mapped a basic knowledge structure. The field of tumor burden and immunotherapy is entering a rapid growing stage and keeping it value for future research.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) has garnered significant attention in the past decade as a prevalent chronic liver condition. Despite a growing body of evidence implicating mitochondria in NAFLD development, comprehensive bibliometric analyses within this research domain are scarce. This study aims to provide a thorough overview of the knowledge framework and key research areas related to mitochondria in the context of NAFLD, utilizing bibliometric techniques. METHODS A comprehensive search of publications on mitochondria in NAFLD from 2000 to 2023 was conducted using the Web of Science Core Collection database. VOSviewers, CiteSpace, and the R package "bibliometrix" were employed for a precise assessment of the literature. RESULTS Examining 2530 articles from 77 countries, primarily led by the United States and China, revealed a consistent increase in publications on mitochondria's role in NAFLD. Leading research institutions include the University of Coimbra, the University of Missouri, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Fudan University, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Notably, the International Journal of Molecular Sciences emerged as the most popular journal, and Hepatology was the most frequently cited. With contributions from 14,543 authors, Michael Roden published the highest number of papers, and A. J. Samyal was the most frequently cocited author. Key focus areas include investigating mitochondrial mechanisms impacting NAFLD and developing therapeutic strategies targeting mitochondria. Emerging research hotspots are associated with keywords such as "inflammation," "mitochondrial dysfunction," "autophagy," "obesity," and "insulin resistance." CONCLUSION This study, the first comprehensive bibliometric analysis, synthesizes research trends and advancements in the role of mitochondria in NAFLD. Insights derived from this analysis illuminate current frontiers and emerging areas of interest, providing a valuable reference for scholars dedicated to mitochondrial studies.

Abstract
G-protein signaling regulator 16 (RGS16) has been confirmed that RGS16 is associated with cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, and cardiovascular diseases. Moreover, many studies have shown that RGS16 can be used as a biomarker for cancer diagnosis and prognosis. We used CiteSpace and VOS viewer software to perform a bibliometric analysis of 290 publications in the core collection of Web of Science. All the articles come from 399 institutions, including 618 authors, 179 journals, 40 countries, 115 keywords, 1 language, two types of papers, and reviews. The United States has the largest number of publications. The Research Center of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) publishes the most papers, Emory University is the most recent of all institutions with the most recent results in the RGS16 study. Cell biology is the most studied discipline, and the most studied topic is migration. Drury published RGS16-related articles with the most citations (n = 15), and Berman published articles with the most citations (n = 106). The biological applications of RGS16 are currently a hot area of RGS16 research, including inflammation, cancer, ulcerative colitis, metabolic acidosis, platelet activation, and thrombosis. The current scientometrics study provides an overview of RGS16 research from 1995 to 2022. This study provides an overview of current and potential future research hotspots in the field of RGS16 and can be used as a resource for interested researchers.

Abstract
Advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a severe malignancy that poses a serious threat to human health. Owing to challenges in early diagnosis, most patients lose the opportunity for radical treatment when diagnosed. Nonetheless, recent advancements in cancer immunotherapy provide new directions for the treatment of HCC. For instance, monoclonal antibodies against immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) such as programmed cell death protein 1/death ligand-1 inhibitors and cytotoxic t-lymphocyte associated antigen-4 significantly improved the prognosis of patients with HCC. However, tumor cells can evade the immune system through various mechanisms. With the rapid development of genetic engineering and molecular biology, various new immunotherapies have been used to treat HCC, including ICIs, chimeric antigen receptor T cells, engineered cytokines, and certain cancer vaccines. This review summarizes the current status, research progress, and future directions of different immunotherapy strategies in the treatment of HCC.

Abstract
Wound nonhealing is a common and difficult problem in clinic. Stem cells are pluripotent cells, and their undifferentiated and self‐replicating characteristics have attracted much attention in the regenerative medicine‐related researches. New treatment approaches might result from an understanding of the function of stem cells in wound healing. Using bibliometric techniques, this study proposed to analyse the research status, hotspots, and research trends in stem cell and wound healing. By using the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC), we conducted an in‐depth review of publications on stem cells in wound healing from 1999 to 2023. We used scientometric analysis methods to examine annual trends, institutions, countries, journals, authors, keywords, co‐occurrence references and their closed relationship, revealing present hotspots and potential future advancements in this field. We analysed 19 728 English studies and discovered a consistent rise in annual publications. The United States and China were the two countries with the most publications. The most three influential institutions in the field were Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Sun Yat‐sen University, and University of Pittsburgh. International Journal of Molecular Sciences and Biomaterials were considered the most influential journals in this field. International Journal of Molecular Sciences had the most publications, and the most quantity of citations and the highest H‐index were found in Biomaterials . The dual‐map overlay revealed that publications in Molecular/Biology/Genetics and Health/Nursing/Medicine co‐cited journals received the majority of the citations for studies from Molecular/Biology/Immunology and Medicine/Medical/Clinical. In terms of publication production and influence, Fu X stood out among the authors, and Pittenger MF took the top spot in co‐citations. According to the keywords from the analysis, future research should concentrate on the mechanisms through which stem cells promote wound healing. We conducted a thorough analysis of the general information, knowledge base and research hotspots in the field of stem cells and wound healing from 1999 to 2023 by using the VOSviewer, CiteSpace, and other bibliometric analysis tools. It not only provided valuable insights for scholars, but also served as a reliable reference that drives further development in the field and stimulates the interest of researchers.

Abstract
Background This study aims to visually assess the bibliometric status, current hotspots, and development trends in the field of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO)-assisted support for respiratory failure through an examination of articles pertaining to ECMO-assisted support for respiratory failure. Methods A search was conducted on pertinent literature in the domain of ECMO-assisted support for respiratory failure published from 2003 to 2023, utilizing the Web of Science Core Collection (WOSCC) database. A bibliometric analysis was conducted using CiteSpace and VOSviewer visualization software to identify and assess associations between keywords, countries, institutions, authors, journals, and references. Results The present study incorporated a compilation of 1,901 pertinent articles. The United States published the maximum number of research articles in this field, and was closely followed by Germany and China. Furthermore, the University of Michigan was the leading institution in ECMO research. In this context, Daniel Brodie, an American expert, significantly contributed to this field and had published 107 related articles on the subject. Concurrently, active collaboration among ECMO researchers was also observed. Asaio Journal was the most prolific contributor, and Giles J. Peek, 2009, published in Lancet, comprised the most cited article in the field. Additionally, the analysis of keywords could be divided into three categories: (I) neonatal ECMO; (II) complications of ECMO; (III) ECMO application in coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19); (IV) application of point-of-care ultra sound in ECMO. Conclusions This study employed CiteSpace and VOSviewer to conduct a systematic literature review on ECMO-assisted support for respiratory failure from 2003 to 2023 in the Web of Science core database. The research outcomes in this domain were presented, offering researchers references for them to gain an accurate understanding of the current state of research and emerging trends in this field.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Tumor immunotherapy can not only eliminate the primary lesion, but also produce long-term immune memory, effectively inhibiting tumor metastasis and recurrence. However, immunotherapy also showed plenty of limitations in clinical practice. In recent years, the combination of nanomaterials and immunotherapy has brought new light for completely eliminating tumors with its fabulous anti-tumor effects and negligible side effects. METHODS The Core Collection of Web of Science (WOSCC) was used to retrieve and obtain relevant literatures on antitumor nano-immunotherapy since the establishment of the WOSCC. Bibliometrix, VOSviewer, CiteSpace, GraphPad Prism, and Excel were adopted to perform statistical analysis and visualization. The annual output, active institutions, core journals, main authors, keywords, major countries, key documents, and impact factor of the included journals were evaluated. RESULTS A total of 443 related studies were enrolled from 2004 to 2022, and the annual growth rate of articles reached an astonishing 16.85%. The leading countries in terms of number of publications were China and the United States. Journal of Controlled Release, Biomaterials, Acta Biomaterialia, Theranostics, Advanced Materials, and ACS Nano were core journals publishing high-quality literature on the latest advances in the field. Articles focused on dendritic cells and drug delivery accounted for a large percentage in this field. Key words such as regulatory T cells, tumor microenvironment, immune checkpoint blockade, drug delivery, photodynamic therapy, photothermal therapy, tumor-associated macrophages were among the hottest themes with high maturity. Dendritic cells, vaccine, and T cells tend to become the popular and emerging research topics in the future. CONCLUSIONS The combined treatment of nanomaterials and antitumor immunotherapy, namely antitumor nano-immunotherapy has been paid increasing attention. Antitumor nano-immunotherapy is undergoing a transition from simple to complex, from phenotype to mechanism.

Abstract
Background: Cytokines modulate the glioma tumor microenvironment, influencing occurrence, progression, and treatment response. Strategic cytokine application may improve glioma immunotherapy outcomes. Gliomas remain refractory to standard therapeutic modalities, but immunotherapy shows promise given the integral immunomodulatory roles of cytokines. However, systematic evaluation of cytokine glioma immunotherapy research is absent. Bibliometric mapping of the research landscape, recognition of impactful contributions, and elucidation of evolutive trajectories and hot topics has yet to occur, potentially guiding future efforts. Here, we analyzed the structure, evolution, trends, and hotspots of the cytokine glioma immunotherapy research field, subsequently focusing on avenues for future investigation. Methods: This investigation conducted comprehensive bibliometric analyses on a corpus of 1529 English-language publications, from 1 January 2000, to 4 October 2023, extracted from the Web of Science database. The study employed tools including Microsoft Excel, Origin, VOSviewer, CiteSpace, and the Bibliometrix R package, to systematically assess trends in publication, contributions from various countries, institutions, authors, and journals, as well as to examine literature co-citation and keyword distributions within the domain of cytokines for glioma immunotherapy. The application of these methodologies facilitated a detailed exploration of the hotspots, the underlying knowledge structure, and the developments in the field of cytokines for glioma immunotherapy. Results: This bibliometric analysis revealed an exponential growth in annual publications, with the United States, China, and Germany as top contributors. Reviews constituted 17% and research articles 83% of total publications. Analysis of keywords like "interleukin-13," "TGF-beta," and "dendritic cells" indicated progression from foundational cytokine therapies to sophisticated understanding of the tumor microenvironment and immune dynamics. Key research avenues encompassed the tumor microenvironment, epidermal growth factor receptor, clinical trials, and interleukin pathways. This comprehensive quantitative mapping of the glioma immunotherapy cytokine literature provides valuable insights to advance future research and therapeutic development. Conclusion: This study has identified remaining knowledge gaps regarding the role of cytokines in glioma immunotherapy. Future research will likely focus on the tumor microenvironment, cancer vaccines, epidermal growth factor receptor, and interleukin-13 receptor alpha 2. Glioma immunotherapy development will continue through investigations into resistance mechanisms, microglia and macrophage biology, and interactions within the complex tumor microenvironment.

Abstract
Research on liver transplantation (LT) for liver cancer has gained increasing attention. This paper has comprehensively described the current status, hotspots and trends in this field. A total of 2991 relevant articles from 1 January 1963 to 28 February 2023 were obtained from the Web of Science Core Collection. VOSviewer and CiteSpace software were utilized as bibliometric tools to analyze and visualize knowledge mapping. Between 1963 and 2023, the number of papers in the area of LT for liver cancer increased continuously. A total of 70 countries/regions, 2303 institutions and 14 840 researchers have published research articles, with the United States and China being the two most productive countries. Our bibliometric-based visual analysis revealed the expansion of LT indications for liver cancer and the prevention/treatment of cancer recurrence as ongoing research hotspots over the past decades. Meanwhile, emerging studies also focus on downstaging/bridging treatments before LT and the long-term survival of LT recipient, in particular the precise application of immunosuppressants.

Abstract
BACKGROUND UMOD is exclusively produced by renal epithelial cells. Recent genome-wide association studies (GWAS) suggested that common variants in UMOD gene are closely connected with the risk of CKD. However, a comprehensive and objective report on the current status of UMOD research is lacking. Therefore, we aim to conduct a bibliometric analysis to quantify and identify the status quo and trending issues of UMOD research in the past. METHODS We collected data from the Web of Science Core Collection database and used the Online Analysis Platform of Literature Metrology, the Online Analysis Platform of Literature Metrology and Microsoft Excel 2019 to perform bibliometricanalysis and visualization. RESULTS Based on the data from the WoSCC database from 1985 to 2022, a total of 353 UMOD articles were published in 193 academic journals by 2346 authors from 50 different countries/regions and 396 institutions. The United States published the most papers. Professor Devuyst O from University of Zurich not only published the greatest number of UMOD-related papers but also is among the top 10 co-cited authors. KIDNEY INTERNATIONAL published the most necroptosis studies, and it was also the most cited journal. High-frequency keywords mainly included 'chronic kidney disease', 'Tamm Horsfall protein' and 'mutation'. CONCLUSIONS The number of UMOD-related articles has steadily increased over the past decades Current UMOD studies focused on Biological relevance of the UMOD to kidney function and potential applications in the risk of CKD mechanisms, these might provide ideas for further research in the UMOD field.

Abstract
Background miR-4270 is a regulatory factor has been linked with the progression of various cancers, such as nasopharyngeal carcinoma, hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), and gastric cancer. However, the underlying mechanisms through which miR-4270 modulates HCC development are not fully understood. Methods miR-4270 expression levels were analyzed in various HCC cell lines and tissue samples. An online bioinformatics tool was then utilized to predict the miR-4270 target gene. The binding relationship between miR-4270 and its target gene DNMT3A was verified using dual-luciferase reporter and Ago2-RIP assays. Then, co-immunoprecipitation (Co-IP) and chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) assays were conducted to investigate the association between DNMT3A and the hepatocyte growth factor activator (HGFAC) promoter region. To assess the methylation level of the HGFAC promoter, methylation-specific PCR (MSP) was employed. Furthermore, rescue analyses were carried out to evaluate the functional relevance of miR-4270 and HGFAC in the modulation of the malignant properties of HCC cells. Finally, HepG2 cells overexpressing miR-4270 were subcutaneously injected into nude mice to estimate the impact of miR-4270 on the xenograft tumor growth of HCC. Results A substantial miR-4270 downregulation was revealed in HCC patient samples and cell lines. miR-4270 upregulation suppressed both cell proliferation and invasion while promoting apoptosis. At the molecular level, miR-4270 was found to bind to the 3'untranslated region (3'UTR) of DNMT3A, thereby inhibiting DNMT3A-mediated methylation of the HGFAC promoter. Functional assays indicated that inhibition of miR-4270 stimulated HCC cell growth, an effect counteracted by overexpression of HGFAC. In vivo assays further verified that miR-4270 effectively suppressed the progression of HCC xenograft tumors. Conclusions miR-4270 was found to mitigate the malignant characteristics of HCC by inhibiting DNMT3A-mediated methylation of the HGFAC promoter, suggesting a potential therapeutic avenue for the management of HCC.

Abstract
The application of infrared thermography technology (IRT) in flap has become a major focus of research, as it provides a non-invasive, real-time, and quantitative approach for monitoring flap perfusion. In this regard, we conducted a comprehensive visualization and scientometric analysis to systematically summarize and discuss the current state of research in this field. We systematically reviewed publications on the application of IRT in flap procedures from 1999 to 2022, using the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC). Through scientometric analysis, we examined annual trends, affiliations, countries, journals, authors, and their relationships, providing insights into current hotspots and future developments in this area. We analysed 522 English studies and found a steady increase in annual publications. The United States and Germany had the highest publication rates, with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Shanghai Jiaotong University being leading institutions. Notably, Lee BT and Alex Keller emerged as influential authors in this field. Compared to existing techniques, infrared-based technology offers significant advantages for non-invasive monitoring of flap perfusion, including simplicity of operation and objective results. Future trends should focus on interdisciplinary collaborations to develop new infrared devices and achieve intelligent image processing, enabling broader application in various clinical scenarios. This bibliometric study summarizes the progress and landscape of research on 'the Application of infrared thermography technology in flap' over the past two decades, providing valuable insights and serving as a reliable reference to drive further advancements and spark researchers' interest in this field.

Abstract
Objective The relationship between acupoint sensitization and acupoint specificity is a topic of significant interest in acupuncture research. Numerous clinical studies have demonstrated that needling pain sensitive acupoints yields superior therapeutic outcomes compared to traditional acupoints, particularly in the context of pain disorders. However, there is a lack of bibliometric analysis in acupuncture area. Therefore, the objective of this study is to offer a comprehensive overview of the knowledge structure and research hotspots pertaining to acupoint sensitization and acupoint specificity. Methods The search for publications pertaining to acupoint sensitization and acupoint specificity was conducted in the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) database from its inception until August 11, 2023. Subsequently, bibliometric analyses were carried out using VOSviewer, CiteSpace, R software (Bibliometrix package), and GraphPad Prism software. Results This study includes 4,940 articles from 72 countries, with China and the United States being the leading countries. The number of publications related to acupoint sensitization and specificity has been increasing annually. Major research institutions involved in this field include the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Kyung Hee University, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Chinese Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, and China Medical University, among others. "Evidence-based Complementary and Alternative Medicine" is the most popular journal in acupuncture field, and "PAIN" is the most co-cited journal. Publications are contributed by 20,325 authors from all over the world, with Wu Huangan, Fang Jianqiao, Lin Yi-Wen, Liu Huirong, and Chen Rixin having published the most articles. Han Ji-Sheng is the most cited author in this research area. The main directions include the study of temperature specificity of acupoints, the diagnosis of acupoint sensitization diseases, and the study of the mechanism of acupoint sensitization. The most listed keywords in recent years are "TRPV1," "signaling pathway," and "diagnosis." Conclusion This is the first bibliometric study to comprehensively summarize research trends and advances in acupoint sensitization and acupoint specificity, and the information highlights recent research preliminary and main directions that serve as a reference for acupoint sensitization and acupoint specificity research.

Abstract
Necroptosis is a new type of programmed cell death discovered in recent years, playing an important role in various diseases. Since it was conceptualized in 2005, research on necroptosis has developed rapidly. However, few bibliometric analyses have provided a comprehensive overview of the field. This study aimed to employ a bibliometric analysis to assess necroptosis research's current status and hotspot, highlight landmark findings, and orientate future research. A total of 3993 publications from the WoSCC were collected for this study. Multiple tools were used for bibliometric analysis and data visualization, including an online website, VOSviewer, CiteSpace, and HistCite. Publications related to necroptosis have increased significantly annually, especially in the last 5 years. Globally, the USA and Harvard University are the most outstanding countries and institutions in this field, respectively. The academic groups managed by Peter Vandenabeele and Junying Yuan both have permanent and intensive research on necroptosis. Cell Death and Differentiation is the most vital journal in this field. The molecular mechanisms of necroptosis and its role in disease are the focus of current research, while the crosstalk between programmed cell death is an emerging direction in the field. The "reactive oxygen species", "innate immunity", and "programmed cell death" may be potential research hotspots. Our results present a comprehensive knowledge map and explore research trends. Researchers and funding agencies on necroptosis can obtain helpful references from our study.

Abstract
Millions of people cross political borders yearly without having the proper documents. This has led to increased detention and deportation practices in destination countries for reasons related to security and sovereignty. The objective of the current study was to analyze and visualize research publications on the detention and deportation of migrants to identify current research hotspots, research gaps, and potential future research in the field. Relevant research articles were obtained from the Scopus database for the study period from 1900 to December 31, 2022. The analysis included presentations of key contributors to the field and visualization of topics, themes, and international collaboration. In total, 906 articles were found. The earliest was in 1982. The majority of articles were published in journals within the subject areas of social sciences and humanities. The number of publications showed a steep rise from 2011 to 2022. The Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies was the most prolific, but publications in the Citizenship Studies journal received the highest number of citations per article. Researchers from the United States contributed the most. Mexico ranked fifth in the number of publications. Oxford University was the most prolific institution, followed by three universities in Australia. The majority of articles were single-authored, indicative of limited author-author collaboration. Research hotspots in the field were "human rights" and "mental health". The detention and deportation of Mexican and other Latino migrants in the United States constituted a distinct research theme in the field. International research collaboration was limited by geographical proximity (e.g., the United States and Mexico) or common language (e.g., the United Kingdom and Australia). Future research topics should focus on alternatives to detention, family separation, and healthcare services for detained migrants. Research activity on detention and deportation is required from all world regions, including the source countries of migrants. Future research should promote alternatives to traditional detentions. The contribution of countries in Africa, the Middle East, and South-Eastern Asian regions needs to be encouraged. Future research on the detention and deportation of non-Latino migrants is highly required.

Abstract
Objective Ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury is an inevitable dilemma when previously ischemic multiple organs and tissues are returned to a state of blood flow, with confirming a critical role of ferroptosis in molecular, pathway mechanisms, subcellular structure. Discovering the potential relationship may provide useful approaches for the clinical treatment and prognosis of the pathophysiological status of IRI. Therefore, a comprehensive visualization and scientometric analysis were conducted to systematically summarize and discuss the "ferroptosis in ischemia reperfusion injury" research to demonstrate directions for scholars in this field. Methods We retrieved all publications focusing on I/R injury and ferroptosis from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC), published from 2013 to October 2022. Next, scientometric analysis of different items was performed using various bibliometrics softwares to explore the annual trends, countries/regions, institutions, journals, authors and their multi-dimensional relationship pointing to current hotspots and future advancement in this field. Results We included a total of 421 English articles in set timespan. The number of publications increased steadily annually. China produced the highest number of publications, followed by the United States. Most publications were from Central South University, followed by Sichuan University and Wuhan University. The most authoritative academic journal was Oxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity. Cell occupied the first rank of co-cited journal list. Andreas Linkermann and Scott J Dixon may have the highest influence in this intersected field with the highest number of citations and co-cited references respectively. The essential biological reactions such as oxidative stress response, lipid peroxidation metabolism, anti-inflammmatory and pro-inflammatory procedure, and related molecular pathways were knowledge base and current hotspots. Molecules pathways exploration, effective inhibition of I/R injury and promising strategy of improving allografts may become future trends and focuses. Conclusions Research on ferroptosis in I/R injury had aroused great interest recently. This first bibliometric study comprehensively analyzed the research landscape of ferroptosis and I/R injury, and also provided a reliable reference for related scholars to facilitate further advancement in this field.

Background: Due to the widespread prevalence of caloric excess and sedentary behavior on a global scale, there is a growing body of epidemiological evidence indicating that non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) has rapidly become a leading aetiology underlying of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). In light of the escalating incidence of NASH-associated HCC (NASH-HCC), it is imperative to mitigate the impending burden. While there has been an increase in global awareness regarding this issue, it has yet to be examined from a bibliometric standpoint. Therefore, this study seeks to provide a comprehensive bibliometric analysis to characterize the evolution of this field. Method: The present study utilized the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) to identify publications pertaining to NASH-HCC over the past 2 decades. Employing Vosviewer 1.6.19, CiteSpace 6.2.R2, and the Analysis Platform of Bibliometrics, the study conducted an analysis of various dimensions including the quantity of publications, countries, institutions, journals, authors, co-references, keywords, and trend topics in this field. Results: A comprehensive analysis of 3,679 publications pertaining to NASH-HCC, published between 1 January 2002 and 1 April 2023, was conducted. The field in question experienced a rapid increase in publications, with the United States serving as the central hub. Collaboration between institutions was more extensive than that between countries. Notably, HEPATOLOGY (n = 30,168) emerged as the most impactful journal, and Zobair M. Younossi (n = 10,025) as the most frequently cited author in co-citations. The most commonly cited references were KLEINER DE, 2005, HEPATOLOGY (n = 630), followed by YOUNOSSI ZM, 2016, HEPATOLOGY (n = 493). The author keywords were categorized into three distinct clusters, namely, Cluster 1 (Mechanism), Cluster 2 (Factors), and Cluster 3 (Diagnosis). Analysis of high-frequency co-occurring keywords and topical trends revealed emphasis on molecular mechanisms in current research. "macrophages" and "tumor microenvironment" were active research hotspots at present in this field. Conclusion: A bibliometric analysis was performed for the first time on publications pertaining to non-alcoholic steatohepatitis-hepatocellular carcinoma, uncovering co-research networks, developmental trends, and current research hotspots. The emerging frontiers of this field focused on the macrophages and tumor microenvironment, especially the tumor-associated macrophages, offering a fresh perspective for future research directions.

Abstract
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disease that currently has an unknown cause and pathogenesis, and is associated with many complications and a high disability rate. The neutrophil extracellular trap network (NETs) is a newly discovered mechanism that allows neutrophils to capture and kill pathogens. Multiple studies in recent years have highlighted its relevance to the progression of rheumatoid arthritis. Despite the growing number of studies indicating the crucial role of NETs in RA, there has been no bibliometric review of research hotspots and trends in this area. In this study, we retrieved articles related to NETs in RA from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) database from 1985 to 2023 and used visualization tools such as Citespace, VOSviewer, Tableau Public, and Microsoft Office Excel 2021 to analyze the data. After screening, we included a total of 416 publications involving 2,334 researchers from 1,357 institutions in 167 countries/regions, with relevant articles published in 219 journals. The U.S., China, and Germany are the top 3 countries/regions with 124, 57, and 37 publications respectively. Mariana J. Kaplan is the most published author, and journals such as Frontiers in Immunology and International Journal of Molecular Sciences have had a significant impact on research in this field. The clinical application of PAD enzymes and their inhibitors, and the drug development of NETs as therapeutic targets for RA is a trend for future research. Our study provides a comprehensive bibliometric analysis and summary of NETs in RA publications, which will aid researchers in conducting further scientific research.

Abstract
Background Emergence delirium is an early postoperative behavior change in pediatric patients, posing risks to patient safety and leading to prolonged hospital stays and increased medical costs. As a result, the research on emergence delirium has grown substantially. This study aims to identify the most influential literature, trends, and topics in emergence delirium research, as well as to quantify the fundamental data of academic publications on this topic. Methods We searched for articles on emergence delirium in the Science Citation Index Expanded databases, covering the period from 2002 to 2022. Bibliographic information, including countries, institutions, journals, authorships, references, and keywords, was collected for further analysis. Results A total of 739 articles on emergence delirium published between 2002 and 2022 were collected. China emerged as the most prolific publisher in this field, accounting for over 30% of all articles (226 publications), followed by the United States (n = 143) and South Korea (n = 92). The top three productive journals were Pediatric anesthesia (n=78, IF=2.129), Anesthesia and Analgesia (n=28, IF=6.627), and BMC Anesthesiology (n=28, IF=2.583). Yonsei University was the most active institution, with 22 publications related to emergence delirium. Among authors, Kin, Hee-Soo (n = 9) published the most articles in this field, followed by Yao, Yusheng (n = 7), Lee, Ji-Hyun (n = 7). The prominent topics in emergence delirium research during the past two decades were "children", "emergence delirium" and "propofol". Conclusion Through bibliometric analysis, this study provides a comprehensive overview of the trends and developments in the field of emergence delirium over the past two decades. The results demonstrate a significant growth in emergence delirium research worldwide, with China leading in the number of publications. Despite the wealth of literature on strategies for preventing and managing emergence delirium in clinical settings, further basic research is needed to elucidate the underlying mechanisms of emergence delirium.

Abstract
PURPOSE To examine a series of papers from top ranked orthopaedic journals with respect to the number of citations over a 10-year observation period to identify factors that lead to high citation rates. METHODS The Web of Science database was consulted to identify all published papers from the first-year term of 2010 (January-May) from four top orthopaedic journals: AJSM, Arthroscopy, JBJS Am and KSSTA. The database was used to analyze and compare the papers with respect to their characteristics and citations up to 2019. Basic information for each paper was collected including the author, country, study type and average citations per year (ACY). The most (Top20%) and least (Bottom20%) frequently cited papers were identified and differences were extracted. RESULTS Five hundred sixteen papers were included with a total of 19,261 citations. Most of the published papers were from the United States (n = 245). On average, a paper received 37.3 citations over the 10-year observation period. The most cited paper was cited 322 times. The most cited study type was randomized controlled trial (RCT) (Ø80.8). The Top20% papers were cited 37 times more often than the Bottom20%. Among the Top20%, the largest group was cohort study (n = 20) followed by case series (n = 19). Among others, the number of authors, the number of keywords and the number of references significantly correlated with the number of citations (p < 0.001). CONCLUSIONS Factors influencing citation frequency were identified.

Abstract
Background Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), recognized as a significant global health concern, ranks as the sixth most prevalent form of cancer and is the third leading cause of cancer-associated mortality. Over half of HCC patients are diagnosed at advanced stages, an unfortunate phenomenon primarily attributed to the liver's robust compensatory mechanisms. Given the limited availability of donor livers, existing clinical surgical approaches have yet to provide universally applicable treatment strategies offering substantial prognostic improvement for late-stage cancer. Although the past few decades have witnessed significant advancements in chemotherapy and targeted therapy for HCC, the emergence of drug resistance poses a substantial impediment to their successful execution. Furthermore, issues such as diminished quality of life post-treatment and high treatment costs warrant critical attention. Consequently, the imperative for an effective treatment strategy for advanced liver cancer is unequivocal. In recent years, notable progress in the development and application of immunotherapy has sparked a revolution in advanced liver cancer treatment. This study aims to elucidate a more comprehensive understanding of the current landscape, knowledge framework, research focal points, and nascent breakthrough trends in the domain of immunotherapy for hepatocellular carcinoma via bibliometric analysis. Method Our study involved conducting a comprehensive literature search spanning from 1999 through December 31, 2022, by utilizing the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-Expanded) database. Our aim was to amass all the papers and reviews related to immunotherapy for hepatocellular carcinoma. Our search strategy yielded a total of 4,486 papers. After exclusion of self-citations, we focused our analysis on 68,925 references. These references were cited 119,523 times (excluding 97,941 self-citations), boasting an average citation frequency of 26.64 times per paper, and achieved an h-index of 135. We employed analytical software tools like Citespace and VOSviewer to perform an intricate analysis of the amassed literature, covering various aspects, including geographical location, research institutions, publishing journals, authors, references, and keywords. Our method incorporated timeline analysis, burst detection, and co-occurrence analysis. The application of these tools facilitated a thorough evaluation of research hotspots, knowledge structure, and emerging advancements within the sphere of immunotherapy for hepatocellular carcinoma. Results Our bibliometric analysis disclosed a noteworthy escalation in the number of publications in the realm of hepatocellular carcinoma immunotherapy during the years 2021-2022, surpassing the aggregate number of papers published in the preceding decade (2011-2020). This surge underscores a sharp upturn in research interest within this field. Additionally, the research hotspot in hepatocellular carcinoma immunotherapy has perceptibly deviated from the preceding decade's trends. In terms of geographical distribution, China emerged as the leading country, producing 50.08% of the total publications. This was followed by the United States, with 963 papers, and Japan, contributing 335 papers. Among research institutions, Sun Yat-sen University was the most prolific, while Tim F. Greten stood out as the most published author with 42 papers to his credit. A co-reference network examination uncovered a shift in research emphasis within the field of hepatocellular carcinoma immunotherapy, highlighting the evolving nature of this important area of study. Conclusion Our bibliometric study highlights the significant evolution and growth in HCC immunotherapy research over the past two decades. Looking ahead, research will focus on improving the microenvironment post-drug resistance from immune combination therapy, harnessing adoptive cellular immunity (as CAR-T), subclassify the population and developing new tumor markers. Incorporation of technologies such as nanotechnology, microbiology, and gene editing will further advance HCC treatments. This progressive trajectory in the field promises a brighter future for individuals suffering from HCC.

Abstract
The investigation of therapeutic cancer vaccines has been ongoing for the past century. Herein, we used VOSviewer and CiteSpace to perform the first global bibliometric analysis of the literature on therapeutic cancer vaccines from 2013 to 2022 aiming to explore the current status and potential research trends. The findings revealed a consistent upward trend in both publication counts and citations. The United States emerged as the leading contributor with the highest number of published papers. Additionally, the analysis of references and keywords indicated that therapeutic cancer vaccines have long been popular topics, whereas neoantigen vaccines, mRNA vaccines, combination strategies, and vaccine delivery systems are emerging research hotspots. This bibliometric study provides a comprehensive and important overview of the current knowledge and potential developments in therapeutic cancer vaccines from 2013 to 2022, which may serve as a valuable reference for scholars interested in further exploring this promising field.

Abstract
BACKGROUND As the complexity and diversity of the tumor immune microenvironment (TIME) are becoming better understood, burgeoning research has progressed in this field. However, there is a scarcity of literature specifically focused on the bibliometric analysis of this topic. This study sought to investigate the development pattern of TIME-related research from 2006 to September 14, 2022, from a bibliometric perspective. METHODS We acquired both articles and reviews related to TIME from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) (retrieved on September 14, 2022). R package "Bibliometrix" was used to calculate the basic bibliometric features, present the collaborative conditions of countries and authors, and generate a three-field plot to show the relationships among authors, affiliations, and keywords. VOSviewer was utilized for co-authorship analysis of country and institution and keyword co-occurrence analysis. CiteSpace was used for citation burst analysis of keywords and cited references. In addition, Microsoft Office Excel 2019 was used to develop an exponential model to fit the cumulative publication numbers. RESULTS A total of 2545 publications on TIME were included, and the annual publication trend exhibited a significant increase over time. China and Fudan University were the most productive country and institution, with the highest number of publications of 1495 and 396, respectively. Frontiers in Oncology held the highest number of publications. A number of authors were recognized as the main contributors in this field. The clustering analysis revealed six clusters of keywords that highlighted the research hot spots in the fields of basic medical research, immunotherapy, and various cancer types separately. CONCLUSIONS This research analyzed 16 years of TIME-related research and sketched out a basic knowledge framework that includes publications, countries, journals, authors, institutions, and keywords. The finding revealed that the current research hot spots of the TIME domain lie in "TIME and cancer prognosis", "cancer immunotherapy", and "immune checkpoint". Our researchers identified the following areas: "immune checkpoint-based immunotherapy", "precise immunotherapy" and "immunocyte pattern", which may emerge as frontiers and focal points in the upcoming years, offering valuable avenues for further exploration.

Abstract
Objective Ablation is a common treatment for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). This study aimed to assess research trends in the ablation treatment of HCC using bibliometric analysis. Methods Publications between January 1, 1993 and December 31, 2022 were retrieved from the Web of Science database. The bibliometrix package from R software, CiteSpace, VOSviewer and an online analytical platform were used for data analysis and plotting. Results A total of 4,029 publications were retrieved from the Web of Science database between 1993 and 2022. The annual growth rate of publication numbers was 10.14%. China had the largest number of publications in the field of HCC ablation. China and the United States of America have the most notable cooperation. Sun Yat-sen University had the largest number of publications in the field of HCC ablation. The most relevant journals were Hepatology, Journal of Hepatology, Gastroenterology, and Radiology. High-frequency keywords mainly focused on "therapy," "resection," "radiofrequency ablation" and "survival". Conclusions With the increase in related publications, the research direction of ablation treatment of HCC is mainly focused on "therapy," "resection," "radiofrequency ablation" and "survival", and the ablation treatment method has gradually changed from percutaneous ethanol injection to radiofrequency ablation and microwave ablation. Irreversible electroporation may become the main method of ablation therapy in the future.

Abstract
Objective The purpose of this study was to analyze the trends by year, country, institution, journal, reference and keyword in publications on the autophagy of pancreatic cancer (PC) and to predict future research hotspots. Methods The Web of Science Core Collection was used to search for publications. The contributions of various countries/regions, institutes, authors, identified research hotspots, and promising future trends were analyzed using the VOSviewer1.6.16 and CiteSpace6.6.R2 programs. We also summarized autophagy relevant clinical trials of PC. Results A total of 1293 papers on the autophagy of PC published between 2013 and 2023 were included in the study. The average number of citations per article was 33.76. The China had the most publications, followed by USA, and a total of 50 influential articles were identified through co-citation analysis. Clustering analysis revealed clusters of keywords: metabolic reprogramming and ER stress, mTOR-mediated apoptosis, extracellular trap as the most concerned clusters. The co-occurrence cluster analysis showed pancreatic stellate cell, autophagy-dependent ferroptosis, autophagy-related pathway, metabolic rewiring, on-coding RNA as the highly concerned research topics in recently. Conclusion The number of publications and research interest have generally increased over the past few years. The China and USA have made prominent contributions to the study of the autophagy of PC. The current research hotspots mainly focus not only on the related modulation, metabolic reprogramming, ferroptosis of tumor cells themselves, but also on tumor microenvironments such as autophagy associated pancreatic stellate cells and new treatments targeting autophagy.

Abstract
Background Cancer as a deathly disease with high prevalence has impelled researchers to investigate its causative mechanisms in the search for effective therapeutics. Recently, the concept of phase separation has been introduced to biological science and extended to cancer research, which helps reveal various pathogenic processes that have not been identified before. As a process of soluble biomolecules condensed into solid-like and membraneless structures, phase separation is associated with multiple oncogenic processes. However, there are no bibliometric characteristics for these results. To provide future trends and identify new frontiers in this field, a bibliometric analysis was conducted in this study. Methods The Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) was used to search for literature on phase separation in cancer from 1/1/2009 to 31/12/2022. After screening the literature, statistical analysis and visualization were carried out by the VOSviewer software (version 1.6.18) and Citespace software (Version 6.1.R6). Results A total of 264 publications, covering 413 organizations and 32 countries, were published in 137 journals, with an increasing trend in publication and citation numbers per year. The USA and China were the two countries with the largest number of publications, and the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences was the most active institution based on the number of articles and cooperations. Molecular Cell was the most frequent publisher with high citations and H-index. The most productive authors were Fox AH, De Oliveira GAP, and Tompa P. Overlay, whilst few authors had a strong collaboration with each other. The combined analysis of concurrent and burst keywords revealed that the future research hotspots of phase separation in cancer were related to tumor microenvironments, immunotherapy, prognosis, p53, and cell death. Conclusion Phase separation-related cancer research remained in the hot streak period and exhibited a promising outlook. Although inter-agency collaboration existed, cooperation among research groups was rare, and no author dominated this field at the current stage. Investigating the interfaced effects between phase separation and tumor microenvironments on carcinoma behaviors, and constructing relevant prognoses and therapeutics such as immune infiltration-based prognosis and immunotherapy might be the next research trend in the study of phase separation and cancer.

Abstract
Three-dimensional (3D) bioprinting is an advanced tissue engineering technique that has received a lot of interest in the past years. We aimed to highlight the characteristics of articles on 3D bioprinting, especially in terms of research hotspots and focus. Publications related to 3D bioprinting from 2007 to 2022 were acquired from the Web of Science Core Collection database. We have used VOSviewer, CiteSpace, and R-bibliometrix to perform various analyses on 3,327 published articles. The number of annual publications is increasing globally, a trend expected to continue. The United States and China were the most productive countries with the closest cooperation and the most research and development investment funds in this field. Harvard Medical School and Tsinghua University are the top-ranked institutions in the United States and China, respectively. Dr. Anthony Atala and Dr. Ali Khademhosseini, the most productive researchers in 3D bioprinting, may provide cooperation opportunities for interested researchers. Tissue Engineering Part A contributed the largest publication number, while Frontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology was the most attractive journal with the most potential. As for the keywords in 3D bioprinting, Bio-ink, Hydrogels (especially GelMA and Gelatin), Scaffold (especially decellularized extracellular matrix), extrusion-based bioprinting, tissue engineering, and in vitro models (organoids particularly) are research hotspots analyzed in the current study. Specifically, the research topics "new bio-ink investigation," "modification of extrusion-based bioprinting for cell viability and vascularization," "application of 3D bioprinting in organoids and in vitro model" and "research in personalized and regenerative medicine" were predicted to be hotspots for future research.

Abstract
Introduction: Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide, and non-small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC) accounts for approximately 80% of all cases. Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) are widely used to treat NSCLC owing to their remarkable efficacy. In this study, we analyzed the scientific collaboration network, defined the hotspots of research on the use of ICIs for NSCLC treatment, analyzed its evolution over the past few years, and forecasted the field's future development using bibliometric analysis and a graphical study. Methods: Research articles and reviews regarding ICIs for NSCLC were retrieved and obtained from the Web of Science Core Collection on 26 September 2022. CtieSpace and VOSviewer were thereafter used to conduct the bibliometric and knowledge-map analysis. Results: We included 8,149 articles for this literature analysis. Our analysis showed that the USA had the highest number of publications and citations. We also noted that research trends in this field have changed drastically over the past 20 years, from the early development of ICIs, such as CTLA-4 inhibitors, to the development of recent ones, such as PD-1 and PD-L1 blockers. Further, the focus of research in this field has also gradually shifted from mechanisms to treatment effects and adverse events, suggesting that the field is maturing. Clinical applications are also being explored, including studies on how to enhance efficacy, reduce adverse effects, and expand to other specific cancer types. Conclusion: To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study to construct a comprehensive knowledge map on ICIs for NSCLC. It can help researchers rapidly grasp the status and focus of current research in this area, offer direction, and serve as a reference for conducting similar studies.

Abstract
BackgroundElectroencephalogram (EEG), one of the most commonly used non-invasive neurophysiological examination techniques, advanced rapidly between 2005 and 2022, particularly when it was used for the diagnosis and prognosis of mild cognitive impairment (MCI). This study used a bibliometric approach to synthesize the knowledge structure and cutting-edge hotspots of EEG application in the MCI.MethodsRelated publications in the Web of Science Core Collection (WosCC) were retrieved from inception to 30 September 2022. CiteSpace, VOSviewer, and HistCite software were employed to perform bibliographic and visualization analyses.ResultsBetween 2005 and 2022, 2,905 studies related to the application of EEG in MCI were investigated. The United States had the highest number of publications and was at the top of the list of international collaborations. In terms of total number of articles, IRCCS San Raffaele Pisana ranked first among institutions. The Clinical Neurophysiology published the greatest number of articles. The author with the highest citations was Babiloni C. In descending order of frequency, keywords with the highest frequency were “EEG,” “mild cognitive impairment,” and “Alzheimer’s disease”.ConclusionThe application of EEG in MCI was investigated using bibliographic analysis. The research emphasis has shifted from examining local brain lesions with EEG to neural network mechanisms. The paradigm of big data and intelligent analysis is becoming more relevant in EEG analytical methods. The use of EEG to link MCI to other related neurological disorders, and to evaluate new targets for diagnosis and treatment, has become a new research trend. The above-mentioned findings have implications in the future research on the application of EEG in MCI.

Abstract
BackgroundIncreasing evidence has shown that the intestinal microbiome (IM) is highly linked to colorectal cancer (CRC). To investigate scientific output, identify highly cited papers, and explore research hotspots and trends in the field of IM/CRC, we conducted a bibliometric and visualized analysis.MethodsA bibliographic search regarding IM/CRC research (2012-2021) was implemented on October 17, 2022. The terms attached to IM and CRC were searched for in the titles (TI), abstracts (AB), and author keywords (AK). The main information was extracted from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC). Biblioshiny from R packages and VOSviewer were used for data visualization.ResultsA total of 1725 papers related to IM/CRC were retrieved. Publications on IM/CRC have grown rapidly from 2012 to 2021. China and the United States were in the leading position for publications in this field and made the most significant contributions to IM/CRC research. Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Harvard University were the most productive institutions. The high-yield authors were Yu Jun and Fang Jing Yuan. The International Journal of Molecular Sciences published the most papers, whereas Gut had the most citations. Historical citation analysis showed the evolution of IM/CRC research. Current status and hotspots were highlighted using keyword cluster analysis. The hot topics include the effect of IM on tumorigenesis, the effect of IM on CRC treatment, the role of IM in CRC screening, the mechanisms of IM involvement in CRC, and IM modulation for CRC management. Some topics, such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, Fusobacterium nucleatum and short-chain fatty acids could be the focus of IM/CRC research in the coming years.ConclusionThis research evaluated the global scientific output of IM/CRC research and its quantitative features, identified some significant papers, and gathered information on the status and trends of IM/CRC research, which may shape future paths for academics and practitioners.

Abstract
Background Sepsis-induced myocardial dysfunction (SIMD) has a significant contribution to sepsis-caused death in critically ill patients. In recent years, the number of published articles related to SIMD has increased rapidly. However, there was no literature that systematically analyzed and evaluated these documents. Thus, we aimed to lay a foundation for researchers to quickly understand the research hotspots, evolution processes and development trends in the SIMD field via a bibliometric analysis. Methods Articles related to SIMD were retrieved and extracted from the Web of Science Core Collection on July 19th, 2022. CiteSpace (version 6.1.R2) and VOSviewer (version 1.6.18) were used for performing visual analysis. Results A total of 1,076 articles were included. The number of SIMD-related articles published each year has increased significantly. These publications mainly came from 56 countries, led by China and the USA, and 461 institutions, but without stable and close cooperation. As authors, Li Chuanfu published the most articles, while Rudiger Alain had the most co-citations. Shock was the journal with the most studies, and Critical Care Medicine was the most commonly cited journal. All keywords were grouped into six clusters, some of which represented the current and developing research directions of SIMD as the molecular mechanisms. Conclusion Research on SIMD is flourishing. It is necessary to strengthen cooperation and exchanges between countries and institutions. The molecular mechanisms of SIMD, especially oxidative stress and regulated cell death, will be critical subjects in the future.
