Abstract
Chemiresistive ammonia gas (NH3) sensors have been playing a significant role in the fields of environmental protection, food safety monitoring, and air quality evaluation. Nevertheless, balancing the high sensitivity and humidity tolerance remains challenging. Herein, the two-dimensional (2D) heterostructures of molybdenum trioxide (MoO3) nanoflakes decorated with dysprosium oxide (Dy2O3) nanosheets (termed Dy2O3/MoO3) were synthesized via a facile probe-sonication method. With respect to pristine MoO3 counterparts, the optimal Dy2O3/MoO3 sensors possessed a 4.49-fold larger response at a lower temperature (30.52@328.2 °C vs 6.8@369.7 °C toward 10 ppm of NH3), shorter response/recovery times (11.6/2.9 s vs 26.9/43.4 s), 52.6-fold higher sensitivity (17.35/ppm vs 0.33/ppm), and a lower theoretical detection limit (1.02 vs 32.82 ppb). Besides the nice reversibility, wide detection range (0.45-100 ppm) and robust long-term stability, inspiringly, the Dy2O3/MoO3 sensors showed a nearly humidity-independent response. These impressive improvements in the NH3-sensing performance were attributed to numerous heterojunctions to strengthen the carrier concentration modulation and the compensation/protection effect of Dy2O3 to mitigate the humidity effect. Moreover, the Dy2O3/MoO3 sensors showed preliminary application potential in monitoring pork freshness. This work provides a universal methodology for constructing NH3 gas sensors with high sensitivity and good humidity resistance and probably extends the application scenarios of MoO3-based sensors in the Internet of Things in the future.

Abstract
Diabetic ulcers (DUs) are one of the most serious complications of diabetes mellitus. The application of a functional dressing is a crucial step in DU treatment and is associated with the patient's recovery and prognosis. However, traditional dressings with a simple structure and a single function cannot meet clinical requirements. Therefore, researchers have turned their attention to advanced polymer dressings and hydrogels to solve the therapeutic bottleneck of DU treatment. Hydrogels are a class of gels with a three-dimensional network structure that have good moisturizing properties and permeability and promote autolytic debridement and material exchange. Moreover, hydrogels mimic the natural environment of the extracellular matrix, providing suitable surroundings for cell proliferation. Thus, hydrogels with different mechanical strengths and biological properties have been extensively explored as DU dressing platforms. In this review, we define different types of hydrogels and elaborate the mechanisms by which they repair DUs. Moreover, we summarize the pathological process of DUs and review various additives used for their treatment. Finally, we examine the limitations and obstacles that exist in the development of the clinically relevant applications of these appealing technologies. This review defines different types of hydrogels and carefully elaborate the mechanisms by which they repair diabetic ulcers (DUs), summarizes the pathological process of DUs, and reviews various bioactivators used for their treatment.

Abstract
Naproxen is widely used for anti-inflammatory treatment but it can lead to serious side effects. To improve the anti-inflammatory activity and safety, a novel naproxen derivative containing cinnamic acid (NDC) was synthesized and used in combination with resveratrol. The results showed that the combination of NDC and resveratrol at different ratios have a synergistic anti-inflammatory efficacy in RAW264.7 macrophage cells. It was indicated that the combination of NDC and resveratrol at a ratio of 2:1 significantly inhibited the expression of carbon monoxide (NO), tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α), interleukin 6 (IL-6), induced nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), cyclooxygenase 2 (COX-2) and reactive oxygen species (ROS) without detectable side effects on cell viability. Further studies revealed that these anti-inflammatory effects were mediated by the activation of nuclear factor kappa-B (NF-κB), mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) and phosphoinositide-3 kinase (PI3K)/protein kinase B (Akt) signaling pathways, respectively. Taken together, these results highlighted the synergistic NDC and resveratrol anti-inflammatory activity that could be further explored as a strategy for the treatment of inflammatory disease with an improved safety profile.

Abstract
Five new terpenoids, including two vibsane-type diterpenoids (1, 2) and three iridoid allosides (3-5), together with eight known ones, were isolated from the leaves and twigs of Viburnum odoratissimum var.sessiliflorum. Their planar structures and relative configurations were determined by spectroscopic methods, especially 2D NMR techniques. The sugar moieties of the iridoids were confirmed as β-D-allose by GC analysis after acid hydrolysis and acetylation. The absolute configurations of neovibsanin Q (1) and dehydrovibsanol B (2) were determined by quantum chemical calculation of their theoretical electronic circular dichroism (ECD) spectra and Rh2(OCOCF3)4-induced ECD analysis. The anti-inflammatory activities of compounds 1, 3, 4, and 5 were evaluated using an LPS-induced RAW264.7 cell model. Compounds 3suppressed the release of NO in a dose-dependent manner, with an IC50 value of 55.64 μmol·L-1. The cytotoxicities of compounds 1-5 on HCT-116 cells were assessed and the results showed that compounds 2 and 3 exhibited moderate inhibitory activities with IC50 values of 13.8 and 12.3 μmol·L-1, respectively.

Abstract
Mesoporous WS2/MoO3 hybrids were synthesized by a facile two-step and additive-free hydrothermal approach and employed for high-performance trace ammonia gas (NH3) detection. Compared with single WS2 and MoO3 counterparts, WS2/MoO3 sensors exhibited an improvement in NH3-sensing performance at room temperature (22 ± 3 °C). Typically, the optimal WS2/MoO3 sensor showed a higher and quicker response of 31.58% within 57 s toward 3 ppm of NH3, which was 17.7- and 57.4-fold larger than that of pure MoO3 (1.78% within 251 s) and WS2 (0.55% within 153 s) ones. Meanwhile, good reversibility, sensitivity, and selectivity, reliable long-term stability, and the lowest detection limit of 9.0 ppb were achieved. These superior properties were probably ascribed to numerous heterojunctions favorable for additional carrier-concentration modulation via the synergetic effect between WS2 and MoO3 components and the large specific surface area beneficial for richer sorption sites and faster molecular transfer at room temperature. Such achievements also imply that the designed WS2/MoO3 heterostructure nanomaterials have the potential in achieving trace NH3 recognition catering for the requirements of high sensitivity and low power consumption in future gas sensors.

Abstract
Abstract
Background
Complex acetabular fractures involving the anterior and posterior columns are an intractable clinical challenge. The study investigated the safety and efficacy of oblique-ilioischial plate technique for acetabular fractures involving low posterior column.
Methods
A retrospective analysis of 18 patients operated with the oblique-ilioischial plate technique by the modified Stoppa approach (or combined with iliac fossa approach) between August 2016 and July 2021 for low posterior column acetabular fractures was conducted. The anterior column was fixed with a reconstructed plate from the iliac wing along the iliopectineal line to the pubis. The low posterior column was fixed with the novel oblique-ilioischial plate running from the ilium to the ischial ramus. Operative time, intraoperative blood loss, reduction quality, and postoperative hip function were recorded.
Results
Out of the 18 patients, 10 were male and 8 were female. The mean age was 48.6±10.2 years (range: 45–62 years); The mean interval from injury to operation was 7.2±1.4 days (range: 5–19 days); The mean operative time was 2.1±0.3 h (range: 1.0–3.2 hours); The mean intraoperative blood loss was 300±58.4 mL (range: 200–500 mL). Postoperative reduction (Matta’s criteria) was deemed as excellent (n = 9), good (n = 4), and fair (n = 5). At the final follow-up, the hip function (modified Merle d’Aubigne-Postel scale) was deemed as excellent (n = 11), good (n = 3), and fair (n = 4). The mean union time was 4.5±1.8 months (range: 3–6 months). No implant failure, infection, heterotopic ossification, or neurovascular injury were reported.
Conclusion
The oblique-ilioischial plate technique via anterior approach for acetabular fractures involving low posterior column offers reliable fixation, limited invasion, little intraoperative bleeding, and fewer complications. However, larger multicenter control studies are warranted.

Abstract
BackgroundThe conventional scoring methods of radiographic joint space narrowing (JSN) in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) such as the Genant-modified Sharp score (GSS) are widely accepted but include subjective and time-consuming nature1. Therefore, we have developed an in-house software equipped with partial image phase-only correlation (PIPOC)2 which can automatically quantify joint space width (JSW) change.ObjectivesThe purpose of this study was to investigate whether the in-house software can predict the inhibitory effect of tocilizumab on joint destruction in a short period of time.MethodsThe study included 39 RA patients (35 female) who were treated with tocilizumab (Table 1). Radiological progression of the metacarpophalangeal and the proximal interphalangeal joints was evaluated according to the GSS at 0, 6, and 12 months. Automatic measurement was performed by the in-house software (Figure 1). The success rate of the in-house software for JSW measurement was 96.8% (449/464). Here, the GSS (+)/PIPOC (+) were defined as joints with JSN progression according to the GSS and the software analysis, respectively. Otherwise, joints were defined as the GSS (-)/PIPOC (-) namely non-progressive JSN. The 0–12-month GSS with the 0–6-month GSS (+) group was significantly more JSN progression than the 0–6-month GSS (-) group (Mann-Whitney U test, p < 0.001). Similarly, the 0–12-month PIPOC with the 0–6-month PIPOC (+) group was significantly more JSN progression than the 0–6-month PIPOC (-) group (p < 0.001). Abstract
The present study reviewed the clinical randomized controlled trials(RCTs) of Chinese patent medicine for pneumonia to provide references for clinical research, guideline development, and policy formulation, and promote the quality improvement of clinical evidence. On the basis of the collection in the Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) Clinical Evidence Database System(EVDS), CNKI, Wanfang, SinoMed were searched for RCTs of Chinese patent medicine for pneumonia from database inception to December 31, 2019. A total of 1 245 RCTs were included, involving 84 Chinese patent medicines, including 45 oral medicines and 39 injections. Specifically, 85.9% of RCTs had treatment course not exceeding 14 d; 43.3% of RCTs had a sample size of more than 100 cases and 6.1% of RCTs more than 200 cases; 13 types of interventions/controls were included in the RCTs, with Chinese patent medicine + western medicine vs western medicine as the top one used(32.6%). In outcome indicators, symptoms/signs(3 285) and physicochemical detection(2 066) were the most frequently applied. In the methodological evaluation, "allocation concealment" was not clearly described or mentioned in 71.2% of RCTs, and "blinding" in 23.9% of RCTs met the normative standards. Registration and research ethics were not clearly reported. There are many methodological deficiencies in terms of design and implementation in included RCTs, which may impact the reliability and practicability of the results of RCTs. Additionally, key standards were unclear(such as disease classification methods and selection of core outcome indicators). In conclusion, RCTs should give priority to the preciseness and scientificity of the protocol, strengthening quality control of the processes and accelerating the standardized research of key links.

Abstract
The clinical randomized controlled trial(RCT) of Chinese patent medicine in the treatment of influenza were reviewed and analyzed to provide basic information for clinical decision and related research. On the basis of the collection in the Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) Clinical Evidence Database System(EVDS), CNKI, Wanfang, VIP, SinoMed, EMbase, PubMed, and Cochrane Library were searched for RCTs of Chinese patent medicine for influenza published from database inception to July 25, 2021. The publication time, sample size, intervention and control measures, course of treatment, outcome indicators, and methodological quality of the trials were analyzed and evaluated. Ninety-two RCTs of Chinese patent medicine for influenza published between 2005 and 2021, were included, among which 17 RCTs(18.48%) had a sample size higher than 200 and the average sample size was about 145. Twenty-seven Chinese patent medicines were involved, including twenty-one oral medicines and six injections. The Chinese patent medicines in trials reported in more than five papers included Lianhua Qingwen Capsules/Gra-nules, Tanreqing Injection, and Reduning Injection. Fourteen intervention protocols were reported, of which Chinese patent medicine+western medicine+conventional treatment vs western medicine+conventional treatment(20.65%) was the most frequently employed. Additionally, 85.87% of the RCTs reported the course of treatment, and 80.43% of the RCTs determined 3-7 d as the intervention course. Forty-five outcome indicators were extracted, which were used 434 times, including symptoms/signs, physicochemical detection, safety events, TCM symptoms/syndromes, quality of life, long-term prognosis, and economic evaluation. Symptoms/signs(61.52%) exhibited the highest frequency. Methodological problems were prevalent in the included trials. The findings reveal that there are few clinical trials on influenza treatment by Chinese patent medicine, and the methodological problems are prominent, affec-ting the reliability and practicability of the trials. In the future research, the value characteristics of Chinese patent medicine should be highlighted and the quality control in the whole process should be strengthened based on the scientific and rigorous design.

Abstract
The clinical randomized controlled trials(RCTs) of Chinese patent medicine in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) were reviewed and analyzed to provide references for clinical research, guideline development, policy formulation, and quality improvement of clinical evidence. On the basis of the collection in the Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) Clinical Evidence Database System(EVDS), CNKI, Wanfang, SinoMed, Cochrane Library, PubMed, EMbase were searched for RCTs of Chinese patent medicine for COPD as a source of clinical evidence from database inception to December 31, 2019. The publication time, sample size, intervention and control measures, course of treatment, outcome indicators, and methodological quality of the trials were analyzed and evaluated. A total of 733 RCTs of Chinese patent medicine for COPD were included, among which 228 RCTs had a sample size higher than 100, accounting for 31.1% of total RCTs. Eighty-eight Chinese patent medicines were involved, including 40 oral medicines and 48 injections. A total of 327 RCTs mentioned intervention and control measures(Chinese patent medicine + conventional treatment vs conventional treatment), accounting for 43.0%. In addition, 94.40% of the RCTs reported the course of treatment, and 53.20% of the RCTs determined 8-14 d as the intervention course. The evaluation indicators adopted were numerous, among which physicochemical indicators(70.57%) and symptoms/signs(24.35%) were the most frequently employed. The operation of allocation concealment and blinding was not standard. Registration and the procedure related to ethics were mostly missing. The results indicate that there are prominent methodological problems in the clinical trials of Chinese patent medicine in the treatment of COPD, affecting the reliability and practicability of the trials. It is necessary to further standardize the design, implementation, and quality control of clinical trials of Chinese patent medicine in the treatment of COPD, highlight the clinical value of Chinese patent medicine for COPD, and improve the quality of evidence.

Abstract
The detection of air pollutant nitrogen dioxide (NO2) is of great importance arising from its great harm to the ecological environment and human health. However, the detection range of most NO2 sensors is ppm-level, and it is still challenging to achieve lower concentration (ppb-level) NO2 detection. Herein, 2D tin diselenide nanoflakes decorated with 1D zinc oxide nanowires (SnSe2/ZnO) heterojunctions were first reported by facile hydrothermal and ultra-sonication methods. The response of the fabricated SnSe2/ZnO sensor enhances 3.41 times on average compared with that of pure SnSe2 sensor to 50-150 ppb NO2 with a high detection sensitivity (22.57 ppm-1) at room temperature. In addition, the SnSe2/ZnO sensor has complete recovery, negligible cross-sensitivity, and small relative standard deviation (6.98%) during the 1 month sensing test, which can meet the requirements for NO2 detection in environmental monitoring. The enhanced NO2 sensing performance can be attributed to the n-n heterojunction constructed between SnSe2 and ZnO. The as-prepared sensor based on SnSe2/ZnO hybrid significantly promotes the development of the low detection limit of the NO2 sensor at room temperature.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To determine whether exoskeleton-assisted walking (EAW) improves pulmonary ventilation function, motor function and related body structure, and activities equivalently as the conventional exercise program for people with spinal cord injury (SCI). METHODS Forty participants (7 females and 33 males; age 37.1±12.0 years) with thoracic SCI were randomized into two groups and undertook 16 sessions of 50-60 min training (4 days/week). Participants in the EAW group received EAW trainings, such as assisted standing, walking, and climbing the stairs. The control group received a conventional exercise program. Outcomes were measured at baseline and upon completion of treatment. RESULTS After trainings, the EAW group improved more than the control group in the forced vital capacity (FVC, 0.53 L [0.01-1.06 L]), predicted FVC% (19.59 [6.63-32.54]) and forced expiratory volume in 1s (0.61 L [0.15-1.07 L]), basic activities of daily living (BADL) (19.75 [10.88-28.62]), and distal femoral cartilage. Participants in the EAW group completed 6-minute walk test with median 17.3 meters while wearing the exoskeleton. There was no difference in trunk and lower extremity motor function, bone mineral density, and adverse events ( P > 0.05). CONCLUSION In people with lower thoracic neurological level of SCI, EAW training has potential benefits to facilitate pulmonary ventilation function, walking, BADL and thickness of cartilage comparing to a conventional excise program. SIGNIFICANCE This study provided more evidence for using EAW in clinic, and partly proved EAW had equivalent effects as conventional exercise program, which may combine with conventional exercise program for reducing burden of therapists in the future.

Abstract
By searching the randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of acupuncture and moxibustion from CNKI since its inception date to december 31 of 2019, the development status and hot trend of RCTs of acupuncture and moxibustion in China were summarized. The CiteSpace and VOSviewer software were used to perform keyword co-occurrence analysis, clustering analysis, time-zone analysis and citation-burst analysis, and visual map was drawn. As a result, a total of 60 995 articles were included, which were published in 1027 academic journals with 1787 keywords. The publication date was from 1975 to 2019. During the past 45 years, the publications of RCTs on acupuncture and moxibustion had shown an overall growth trend with characteristics of the times. The RCTs of manual acupuncture ranked the top, and its proportion of publications every 5 years was stable in the past 30 years. Since 1994, the hot words such as electroacupuncture, warming needling, auricular point sticking and various acupoint therapies had emerged; meanwhile, the spectrum of diseases had broadened, and an evolutionary trend corresponding to therapies and disease systems had been formed. In recent decade, the RCTs using moxibustion therapy have increased significantly, and the hot words such as "sub-health" "winter diseases being treated in summer" and "acupoint application/ moxibustion during the dog days" had indicated that acupuncture clinical research was further inclined to the field of chronic disease prevention and health services, which was in line with social development and the needs of the times.

Abstract
Objective: To compare the clinical effects of single-incision robot-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy (RARP) with and without extraperitoneal special channel device. Methods: The clinical data of 70 patients who had undergone RARP in the Robotic Minimally Invasive Surgery Center of Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital from September 2020 to February 2021 were analyzed retrospectively, including 29 cases who were operated on without special channel device (group A) and 41 cases with special channel device (group B). All operations were performed by robot-assisted single-incision retrograde bladder neck exfoliation via extraperitoneal approach in patients by the same operator. The operation time, intraoperative blood loss, the bladder neck urethral anastomosis time, postoperative hospital stay, postoperative exhaust time, positive rate of incisal margin, indwelling time of urinary catheter, retention rate of postoperative erectile function, satisfaction rate of immediate postoperative urine control, positive rate of postoperative lymph node pathology, incision length, treatment cost and the rate of prostate specific antigen (PSA)lower than 0.2 μg/L at 6 weeks after operation were compared between the two groups. Results: All 70 cases were operated successfully. The difference of age[ (68.9±3.9) vs (69.4±5.4) years], preoperative PSA level[14.1(6.3, 19.8)vs13.7(5.8, 18.1)μg/L], prostate volume[44.8(30.7,172.6)vs 56.3(40.9,163.4)ml ] of the two groups was not statistically significant(all P>0.05). The difference of operation time [ (59.1±18.5) vs (59.6±18.0) min ], intraoperative blood loss [93(66,198)vs 95(68,203) ml ], bladder neck urethral anastomosis time [ (12.6±1.3) vs (13.7±2.8) min ], postoperative hospital stay [ (8.1±2.3) vs (9.1±1.3) d], postoperative exhaust time [ (1.4±0.6) vs (1.3±0.6) d], positive rate of incisal margin (20.7% vs 19.5%), indwelling time of the urinary catheter after operation [ (6.8±1.5) vs (7.1±2.0) d ], the retention rate of postoperative erectile function (31.0% vs 27.0%), the satisfaction rate of immediate postoperative urine control (79.3% vs 75.6%), the positive rate of postoperative lymph node pathology (17.2% vs 14.6%), the length of incision [ (5.1±0.5) vs (6.1±0.4) cm ], the rate of PSA lower than 0.2 μg/L at 6 weeks after operation (86.2% vs 83.0%) of the two groups was not statistically significant(all P>0.05). The operation cost of group A[(62 000±4 000) yuan]was lower than group B[(68 000±4 000) yuan] (P<0.05). Conclusion: Extraperitoneal non-special channel device single-incision RARP is safe and feasible.

Abstract
Multifunctional self-healing hydrogels have recently attracted considerable interest in biomedical applications owing to their diverse properties, including self-healing, adhesion, conduction, antibacterial, and stimulus-response, which can meet various application requirements, ranging from wound dressings and delivery vehicles to the production of scaffolds for tissue repair and regeneration. As a natural polycationic polysaccharide with good biocompatibility, chitosan is widely used in hydrogel formation as there are many amino and hydroxyl groups along the chains that can actively participate in various physical effects and chemical reactions, which enable it to construct self-healing hydrogels and fulfill multiple functions. In this review, the formation of chitosan-based self-healing hydrogels and the related self-healing mechanism are summarized, including Schiff base, metal coordination, ionic and hydrogen bonds, hydrophobic and host-guest interactions, with a focus on the strategies for their multi-functionalization. In the last section, the applications of the chitosan-based self-healing hydrogels in the fields of wound dressings, delivery vehicles, scaffolds, and biological sensors are discussed. Overall, it is highly expected that this review could provide an insight into the prospective development of multifunctional self-healing hydrogels for biomedical applications.

Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of baicalin on diabetic nephropathy (DN) rats and podocytes and its mechanism. Methods The rat models with DN were established by high-fat and high-sugar diet and intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin. The fasting blood glucose (FBG) and weight of rats in each group were measured at 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4 weeks. Their biochemical indicators, expression of inflammatory, and antioxidant factors were measured using an automatic biochemical analyzer together with ELISA. Hematoxylin-eosin staining and periodic acid-schiff staining were used to observe the morphological changes in the kidneys of rats in each group. Finally, the expressions of related molecules and PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway proteins in renal tissues and podocytes were examined by qRT-PCR and Western blot. Results Compared with the DN group, the FBG and weight, serum creatinine, blood urea nitrogen, total cholesterol, triacylglycerol, microalbumin, and albumin/creatinine ratio were all significantly decreased in the Baicalin treatment groups in a concentration-dependent manner. The levels of inflammatory factors in kidney tissue and podocytes were decreased. In addition, the activities of lactate dehydrogenase and malondialdehyde in tissue were decreased, while the superoxide dismutase was increased. The pathological sections showed that glomerular atrophy and glomerular basement membrane thickening caused by hyperglycemia were improved in the Baicalin treatment groups. Meanwhile, baicalin inhibited the downregulation of Nephrin and Podocin expressions and upregulation of Desmin expression caused by DN, and inhibited the expressions of p-PI3K, p-Akt, and p-mTOR proteins. Conclusion Baicalin slows down podocyte injury caused by DN by inhibiting the activity of PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway.

Abstract
To analyze the outcome indicators from the randomized controlled trials(RCTs) on traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) treatment for diabetic foot, and to lay a foundation for the establishment of the core index set of the clinical trials on TCM treatment of diabetic foot. Computer retrieval of RCTs on TCM treatment of diabetic foot was performed in CNKI, Wanfang, SinoMed, PubMed, Cochrane Library, EMbase and Web of Science databases. Literature screening and data extraction were conducted independently by two researchers in strict accordance with inclusion and exclusion criteria. Any difference was resolved through discussion. A total of 72 RCTs involving 5 791 patients were included and 204 indicators were used. The number of indicators used in a single study was 2-22, with an average of 3 indicators used for each RCT. The indicators with top 16 frequency were clinical total effective rate, ankle brachial index(ABI), ulcer area, TCM syndrome integral, fibrinogen(FIB), fasting blood glucose(FBG), plasma viscosity(PV), c-reactive protein(CRP), saccharification blood of eggs(HbAlc), 2 h postprandial blood glucose(2 hPG), wound healing time, triglyce-rides(TC), TCM efficacy for syndromes, total cholesterol(TG), percutaneous oxygen partial pressure(TCPO2) and TCM symptom scores. The difference in selection of RCT indicators was large among TCM treatment methods for diabetic foot, and the combination of outcome indicators was arbitrary. The description on indexes was not standardized. Some non-laboratory examination indicators, some indicators not recommended in guidelines or not recognized in clinical practice, and some self-made indicators were not explained in detail. There was a lack of standardized evaluation criteria for indicators. The indicators had large time-point difference in measurement, and the time points were not distinguished in the measurement for diabetic foot patients with different degrees of severity. In addition, the patients with long course of treatment weren't timely measured. The characteristics of TCM or significant endpoint indicators were insufficient. It was urgent to establish the core index set of TCM in treating diabetic foot.

Abstract
The selection of the superficial or deep drainage system for use with the radial forearm free flap (RFFF) remains controversial. The aim of this study was to identify the optimal drainage system for single venous anastomosis. A systematic review and cumulative meta-analysis was performed to assess superficial and deep system single venous anastomosis for use with the RFFF in postoperative reconstruction of the head and neck. This study included 1073 flaps (495 superficial system-based flaps, 578 deep system-based flaps) reported in six studies. The outcomes assessed in the studies selected for this meta-analysis included venous compromise, flap failure, and the salvage success rate. Venous compromise was more common in the superficial system group (odds ratio (OR) 2.29, 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.36-3.86, P=0.002). The rate of successful salvage was higher with the superficial system (OR 8.19, 95% CI 1.75-38.3, P=0.008). The rate of flap failure was lower in the superficial system group (OR 0.30, 95% CI 0.04-2.48, P=0.27). Although the deep system showed a lower risk of venous compromise, the evidence provided by the meta-analysis was insufficient to determine which type of drainage system is more suitable for single venous anastomosis in RFFF. All included studies were cohort studies; therefore, findings must be interpreted with caution.

Abstract
The size of large, geo-located datasets has reached scales where visualization of all data points is inefficient. Random sampling is a method to reduce the size of a dataset, yet it can introduce unwanted errors. We describe a method for subsampling of spatial data suitable for creating kernel density estimates from very large data and demonstrate that it results in less error than random sampling. We also introduce a method to ensure that thresholding of low values based on sampled data does not omit any regions above the desired threshold when working with sampled data. We demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach using both, artificial and real-world large geospatial datasets.

Abstract
The efficient synthesis of quantum materials is becoming a research hotspot as it determines their successful application in the fields of biomedicine, illumination, energy, sensors, information, and communication. Among the quantum materials, it is still a challenge to synthesize quantum wires (QWs) with surfactants due to the inevitable radial growth of QWs in the soft template method. In this paper, amphipathic graphene oxide (GO) was adopted as a macromolecular surfactant to limit the radial growth instead of the commonly used surfactant. GO could roll up under its electrostatic interaction with a cuprous oxide (Cu2O) quantum dot (QD) and then form a tubular template for the growth of the Cu2O QW, which was named herein as the nanoparticle-induced graphene oxide rolling (NIGOR) procedure. The NIGOR procedure was confirmed by the molecular dynamics results by simulating systems consisting of GO and Cu2O nanoparticles. An intermediate with a necklace morphology corresponding to the simulation result was also observed experimentally during the formation of the QW. Meanwhile, the formation mechanism of the QW was demonstrated rationally. Furthermore, increasing the dosage of the reactant, reaction time, and temperature altered the diameter of the QW from 2 to 4 nm and also changed the morphology of the final products from a QD to a QW and then to a bundle of QWs. This was attributed to the aggregation of materials for the lowest surface energy in the system. Additionally, the universality of NIGOR was manifested via the synthesis of other metal oxides as well. The NIGOR strategy provided an alternative, convenient, and mass production method for synthesizing QWs.

Abstract
Humidity sensors with good repeatability, low hysteresis, and low-power consumption are increasingly important for environmental monitoring and industrial control applications. Herein, an impedance-type humidity sensor under low working voltage (5 mV) utilizing a rGO-BiVO4 nanocomposite is demonstrated. The rGO-BiVO4 humidity sensor exhibits superior sensing performances, including good repeatability, negligible hysteresis (0.47%), fast response and recovery time, low power consumption, good stability, and anti-interference ability. The ultraviolet-visible absorption spectrum reveals that the narrow band gap of the rGO-BiVO4 nanocomposite is conductive to the electron transfer. The complex impedance spectra and the energy band structure analysis further suggest that the boosted humidity performance results from the formation of a heterojunction and the decrease of the heterojunction barrier height. The facile fabrication route, enhanced sensing performance, and excellent device reliability make the rGO-BiVO4 sensor highly attractive for high-end humidity sensing applications.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Exoskeleton-assisted walking (EAW) is expected to improve the gait of spinal cord injury (SCI) individuals. However, few studies reported the changes of pulmonary function (PF) parameters after EAW trainings. Hence, we aimed to explore the effect of EAW on PF parameters, 6-min walk test (6MWT) and lower extremity motor score (LEMS) in individuals with SCI and to compare those with conventional trainings. METHODS In this prospective, single-center, single-blinded randomized controlled pilot study, 18 SCI participants were randomized into the EAW group (n = 9) and conventional group (n = 9) and received 16 sessions of 50-60 min training (4 days/week, 4 weeks). Pulmonary function parameters consisting of the forced vital capacity (FVC), forced expiratory volume in 1 s (FEV1), forced expiratory flow (FEF), peak expiratory flow, and maximal voluntary ventilation, 6MWT with assisted devices and LEMS were reported pre- and post-training. RESULTS Values of FVC (p = 0.041), predicted FVC% (p = 0.012) and FEV1 (p = 0.013) were significantly greater in EAW group (FVC: 3.8 ± 1.1 L; FVC% pred = 94.1 ± 24.5%; FEV1: 3.5 ± 1.0 L) compared with conventional group (FVC: 2.8 ± 0.8 L; FVC% pred = 65.4 ± 17.6%; FEV1: 2.4 ± 0.6 L) after training. Participants in EAW group completed 6MWT with median 17.3 m while wearing the exoskeleton. There was no difference in LEMS and no adverse event. CONCLUSIONS The current results suggest that EAW has potential benefits to facilitate PF parameters among individuals with lower thoracic neurological level of SCI compared with conventional trainings. Additionally, robotic exoskeleton helped walking. Abstract
Demineralized bone matrix (DBM) powder is a potential alternative bone grafting material due to its bone regeneration capacity when the supply of autogenous bone is insufficient. However, the use of DBM powder alone remains challenging in many aspects in the clinic, such as its unstable osteoinductivity due to inactivation of growth factors during the preparation process, lack of bone regeneration cells, and difficulty in handling. Herein, we report a strategy that adopts a dual delivery of DBM powder and hypoxia-pretreated bone marrow stromal cells (BMSCs) using an injectable self-healing hydrogel to enhance bone regeneration and repair a cranial bone defect in a rabbit model. The injectable self-healing hydrogel was prepared based on a double crosslinking architecture, which comprised a dynamically cross-linked Schiff-base network as a self-healing component and a borax ion cross-linked physical network that strengthened its mechanical properties. The handling of the DBM powder was improved by mixing with the hydrogel, and, more importantly, the expression of osteocalcin (OCN) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) of the encapsulated BMSCs in the hydrogel was significantly up-regulated after hypoxia-pretreatment. The in vivo study demonstrated that the use of the hydrogel alone cannot heal the cranial bone defect, while the hydrogel/BMSC composite could increase the bone formation but was inferior to the hydrogel/DBM composite. Finally, the hydrogel/DBM/BMSC composite exhibited the best bone defect repairing effects among all groups. Overall, our results demonstrate that this dual delivery approach is a promising strategy to enhance bone regeneration for bone defect repair.

Abstract
PURPOSE Despite the large number of osteoporosis patients in China, the diagnosis and treatment rates remain low. The Fracture Risk Assessment Tool (FRAX) can be used to effectively evaluate fracture risk. In this study, we explored the Chinese-specific thresholds of FRAX without the T-score. METHODS In all, 264 postmenopausal women aged > 50 years were randomly recruited from community-medical centers. All subjects completed self-reported questionnaires, BMD measurements, and spinal radiographs. The 10-year hip and major osteoporotic fracture risks were calculated by FRAX. A new threshold for both 10-year hip and major osteoporotic fracture risk was explored with receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis. RESULTS Overall, 92 subjects were diagnosed with osteoporosis. Among them, 14 participants with T-score > - 2.5 were diagnosed with osteoporosis based on clinical fractures. ROC analysis showed the cut-off value of the 10-year hip osteoporotic fracture for detecting osteoporosis was 0.95%, while that of 10-year major osteoporotic fracture was 4.95%. The sensitivity and specificity of the 10-year hip osteoporotic fracture probability for detecting osteoporosis were 0.86 and 0.59, respectively, while the guideline-recommended threshold had a sensitivity of 0.49 and specificity of 0.83. The sensitivity and specificity of the 10-year major osteoporotic fractures with the new threshold were 0.76 and 0.69, respectively, while the recommended threshold had a sensitivity of 0 and specificity of 1. CONCLUSION Current guideline-recommended FRAX thresholds without BMD showed low sensitivity. Therefore, 10-year osteoporotic hip fracture probability ≥ 0.95% and 10-year osteoporotic major fracture probability ≥ 4.95% are recommended as the new thresholds.

Abstract
While there have been previous studies examining the relation between the rs17820943 and rs6072081 polymorphisms in the v-maf musculoaponeurotic fibrosarcoma oncogene homolog B (MAFB) gene and rates of nonsyndromic cleft lip with or without cleft palate (NSCL/P), at present the results of these studies have been inconsistent. This meta-analysis therefore aimed to conduct a more robust assessment of the association between the MAFB rs17820943 and rs6072081 polymorphisms and NSCL/P risk. The Embase, Web of Science, PubMed, the China National Knowledge Internet (CNKI), and Wanfang databases were systematically searched to identify relevant studies. In total, five studies incorporating 2769 patients and 2885 controls were identified assessing the rs17820943 polymorphism and three studies incorporating 1242 patients and 1310 controls assessing the rs6072081 polymorphism were identified. This analysis revealed the MAFB rs17820943 and rs6072081 polymorphisms to be linked to a significantly reduced NSCL/P risk (rs17820943: C vs T: OR=0.76, 95% CI=0.70-0.82; CC vs CT: OR=0.75, 95% CI=0.67-0.85; CC vs TT: OR=0.58, 95% CI=0.49-0.67; CC+CT vs TT: OR=0.67, 95% CI=0.59-0.77; CT+TT vs CC: OR=1.43, 95% CI=1.28-1.60; rs6072081: A vs G: OR=0.77, 95%CI=0.68-0.86; AA vs AG: OR=0.76, 95%CI=0.64-0.90; AA vs GG: OR=0.58, 95%CI=0.45-0.74; AA+AG vs GG: OR=0.68, 95%CI=0.54-0.84; AG+GG vs AA: OR=1.40, 95% CI=1.19-1.65). The results of the present meta-analysis indicate that in an East Asian population, for both rs17820943 and rs6072081 were associated with NSCL/P.

Abstract
Objective: To examine the feasibility of small drain in transoral endoscopic thyroidectomy vestibular approach (TOETVA). Methods: A prospective research was performed in Department of Oncology Plastic Surgery/Head and Neck Surgery, Hunan Cancer Hospital, from October 2018 to March 2019. Totally 103 patients who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria, signed the operation agreement of TOETVA, had their surgery completed and followed-up over 6 months, were enrolled in analysis. A central venous catheter was used as a drain tube in all cases (outer diameter 1.7 mm, inner diameter 1.0 mm). Visual analogue scale (VAS) was applied for assessing pain scores during the first 24 hours after the operation. Vancouver scar scale (VSS) was used for assessing the scar left by the drainage. The drainage volume (minimum scale:10 ml, approximate read: 1 ml) was recorded every 2 hours during the first postoperative 12 hours, every 4 hours during 12 to 24 hours, every 8 hours during 24 to 48 hours, and once from 48 hours until extubation. The volume of drainage, the cumulative volume and the percentage of cumulative volume accounting for the total volume were calculated. The data of residual volume (subtract the cumulative volume from the total volume) in the postoperative 24, 32 and 40 hours were analyzed, and their upper one-side P(95) was calculated by percentile method. Results: There were 12 males and 91 females. The age was (36.6±9.7) years (range: 18 to 58 years). The intraoperative tube-inserting time was (10.1±2.6) minutes (range: 6 to 18 minutes). The pain score on the first day was 2.7±1.1 (range: 1 to 5). The extubation time was (2.7±0.5) days (range: 2 to 4 days). VSS scores in the postoperative 1(st) month and 6(th) month were 2.9±1.3 (range: 0 to 7) and 0(2)(M(Q(R))), respectively. The size of the scar was 0 (2.5) mm in the postoperative 6(th) month. Sixty-four patients had no visible scars. There were 5 patients who had postoperative drain-related complications (1 for air leakage, 1 for tube blockage, 3 for subcutaneous hydrop, 2 for regional infection), who were all cured after proper treatment. The total volume of drainage for 98 patients without postoperative drain-related complications was (80.1±12.2) ml (range: 58 to 131 ml). The cumulative drainage within 8 hours accounted for (53.8±4.2)% (range: 41.0% to 62.9%) of the total drainage. The volume of residual fluids in the postoperative 32 hours was estimated to (5.8±2.7) ml (range: 0 to 12 ml,P(95)=10.0 ml). Conclusions: The small drain tubecan be applied in TOETVA, providing a satisfied cosmetic appearance and a reliable drainage. The main exudation period of the wound is within 8 hours after the operation. If a residual volume less than 10 ml is considered to be self-absorbable, the shortest safe extubation point for 95% patients without drain-related complications should be 32 hours after the operation.

Abstract
Intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is a devastating subtype of stroke with high morbidity and mortality. However, there is no effective therapy method to improve its clinical outcomes to date. Here we report an injectable gelatin hydrogel that is capable of suppressing inflammation and enhancing functional recovery in a mouse model of ICH. Thiolated gelatin was synthesized by EDC chemistry and then the hydrogel was formed through Michael addition reaction between the thiolated gelatin and polyethylene glycol diacrylate. The hydrogel was characterized by scanning electron microscopy, porosity, rheology, and cytotoxicity before evaluating in a mouse model of ICH. The in vivo study showed that the hydrogel injection into the ICH lesion reduced the neuron loss, attenuated the neurological deficit post-operation, and decreased the activation of the microglia/macrophages and astrocytes. More importantly, the pro-inflammatory M1 microglia/macrophages polarization was suppressed while the anti-inflammatory M2 phenotype was promoted after the hydrogel injection. Besides, the hydrogel injection reduced the release of inflammatory cytokines (IL-1β and TNF-α). Moreover, integrin β1 was confirmed up-regulated around the lesion that is positively correlated with the M2 microglia/macrophages. The related mechanism was proposed and discussed. Taken together, the injectable gelatin hydrogel suppressed the inflammation which might contribute to enhance the functional recovery of the ICH mouse, making it a promising application in the clinic.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the effects of pedicled rectus abdominis myocutaneous (PRAM)flap combined with free deep inferior epigastric artery perforator (DIEAP) flap carrying inguinal lymphatic flap in breast reconstruction and upper limb lymphedema treatment post radical mastectomy. Methods: From October 2014 to September 2016, 9 patients with upper limb lymphedema after mastectomy were treated with PRAM flap combined with free DIEAP flap carrying inguinal lymphatic flap for breast reconstruction and upper limb lymphedema treatment in Hunan Province Cancer Hospital. The patients were all females, aged 34-66 (44±7) years. The location of deep inferior epigastric artery perforator was detected by audible Doppler ultrasound blood stream detector and computed tomography angiography for designing combined tissue flap, with length of (25.32±0.27) cm, width of (13.14±0.76) cm, and thickness of (3.55±0.34) cm. The donor site of combined tissue flap was closed by suturing, and two or more tubes for negative pressure drainage were placed according to the situation of donor site and recipient site. Operation time and average placing time of negative pressure drainage tube, postoperative condition of combined tissue flap and the donor site, reconstructed breast condition, recovery of upper limb lymphedema were documented and followed up. Results: The operation time was 290-420 (396±55) min. The average retaining time of negative pressure drainage tube in breast was 5.9 d, while the average retaining time of negative pressure drainage tube in abdomen was 4.3 d. Ecchymoma occurred in DIEAP flap of one patient and in the flap donor site of another patient. Delayed healing was also seen in the rectus abdominis myocutaneous flap of a patient, which healed eventually after dressing change, and the other flaps survived well. The appearance of reconstructed breast was good with good elasticity, and no contracture or deformation occurred in the tissue flap. The upper limb lymphedema in 7 patients was alleviated in varying degrees, with 2.0-4.0 cm reduction in circumference. During follow-up of 12-24 months of 9 patients, averaged 17.5 months, with 6 patients received long term bandage pressure therapy and physical therapy to the affected limbs after operation and all patients were satisfied with appearances of the affected limbs. Neuropathic pain in affected limbs was significantly relieved in 2 patients and stopped aggravating in the other 2 patients. Only linear scar was seen in the donor site of abdomen without affecting obviously the function of abdomen. Conclusions: The PRAM flap combined with free DIEAP flap carrying inguinal lymphatic flap is an effective way for breast reconstruction and upper limb lymphedema treatment post mastectomy.

Abstract
Since its outbreak in December 2019, a series of clinical trials on coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been registered or carried out. However, the significant heterogeneity and less critical outcomes of such trials may be leading to a waste of research resources. This study aimed to develop a core outcome set (COS) for clinical trials on COVID-19 in order to tackle the outcome issues. The study was conducted according to the Core Outcome Measures in Effectiveness Trials (COMET) Handbook: Version 1.0, a guideline for COS development. A research group was set up that included experts in respiratory and critical medicine, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), evidence-based medicine, clinical pharmacology, and statistics, in addition to medical journal editors. Clinical trial registry websites (www.chictr.org.cn and clinicaltrials.gov) were searched to retrieve clinical trial protocols and outcomes in order to form an outcome pool. A total of 78 clinical trial protocols on COVID-19 were included and 259 outcomes were collected. After standardization, 132 outcomes were identified within seven different categories, of which 58 were selected to develop a preliminary outcome list for further consensus. After two rounds of Delphi survey and one consensus meeting, the most important outcomes for the different clinical classifications of COVID-19 were identified and determined to constitute the COS for clinical trials on COVID-19 (COS-COVID). The COS-COVID includes one outcome for the mild type (time to 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) negativity), four outcomes for the ordinary type (length of hospital stay, composite events, score of clinical symptoms, and time to 2019-nCoV RT-PCR negativity), five outcomes for the severe type (composite events, length of hospital stay, arterial oxygen partial pressure (PaO2)/fraction of inspired oxygen (FiO2), duration of mechanical ventilation, and time to 2019-nCoV RT-PCR negativity), one outcome for critical type (all-cause mortality), and one outcome for rehabilitation period (pulmonary function). The COS-COVID is currently the most valuable and practical clinical outcome set for the evaluation of intervention effect, and is useful for evidence assessment and decision-making. With a deepening understanding of COVID-19 and application feedback, the COS-COVID should be continuously updated.

Abstract
Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells are a common tool utilized in bioproduction and directed genome engineering of CHO cells is of great interest to enhance recombinant cell lines. Until recently, this focus has been challenged by a lack of efficacious, high throughput, and low-cost gene editing modalities and screening methods. In this work, we demonstrate an improved method for gene editing in CHO cells using CRISPR RNPs and characterize the endpoints of Cas9 and ZFN mediated genetic engineering. Furthermore, we validate sequence decomposition as a cost effective, rapid, and accurate method for assessing mutants and eliminating non-clonal CHO populations using only capillary sequencing.

Abstract
Acylated ghrelin (AG) is a gastrointestinal (GI) peptide mainly secreted by the stomach that promotes cytosolic lipid droplets (CLD) hypertrophy in adipose tissues and liver. However, the role of AG in the regulation of lipid metabolism in the intestine remains unexplored. This study aimed at determining whether AG influences CLD production and chylomicron (CM) secretion in the intestine. The effects of AG and oleic acid on CLD accumulation and CM secretion were first investigated in cultured Caco-2/15 enterocytes. Intestinal lipid metabolism was also studied in Syrian Golden Hamsters submitted to conventional (CD) or Western (WD) diets for 8 weeks and continuously administered with AG or physiological saline for the ultimate 2 weeks. In cultured Caco-2/15 enterocytes, CLD accumulation influenced CM secretion while AG reduced fatty acid uptake. In WD hamsters, continuous AG treatment amplified chylomicron output while reducing postprandial CLD accumulation in the intestine. The present study supports the intimate relationship between CLD accumulation and CM secretion in the intestine and it underlines the importance of further characterizing the mechanisms through which AG exerts its effects on lipid metabolism in the intestine.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the mechanisms of lncRNA on the occurrence and development of NOA by constructing ceRNA regulation network of lncRNA, miRNA and mRNA. Methods: Samples of adult human testis were obtained from NOA patients and OA patients with normal spermatogenesis (controls), recruited from the Reproductive Medicine Center of Nanfang Hospital from June 2017 to June 2018. Differentially expressed lncRNAs and mRNAs in testicular tissues from patients with NOA were identified by microarray analysis in previous association study. In this study, differentially expressed lncRNAs and mRNA were used to construct the ceRNA regulatory network in NOA and clarify the interaction relationship among lncRNA, miRNA and mRNA. GeneMANIA database was used to construct Protein-Protein Interaction (PPI) of the mRNAs in ceRNA regulatory network. WebGestalt toolkit was employed to perform gene function and pathway enrichment analyses of those coding genes. Finally, qRT-PCR and dual luciferase reporter system were employed for further experimental validation. Results: The ceRNA regulatory network of lncRNA, miRNA and mRNA consists of 21 nodes and 26 edges, of which 4 lncRNAs, 13 miRNAs and 4 mRNAs. 19 proteins were found to interact with the mRNA coding proteins in ceRNA regulatory network by PPI analysis. Gene oncology and KEGG pathway enrichment analyses indicate these coding genes were significantly enriched in pentose metabolic process and pentose phosphate pathway. Furthermore, lncRNA ANXA2P3 was found binding with miR-613 and miR-206 to inhibit mRNA TKT expression. Conclusion: lncRNAs exert an important role in the occurrence and development of NOA via ceRNA regulatory network, which could be used as new biomarkers for NOA treatment.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the safety and feasibility of the modified transoral endoscopic thyroidectomy vestibular approach (TOETVA) by dissection of mental nerve in clinical practice. Methods: Totally 140 patients underwent the modified TOETVA from the Department of Head and Neck Surgery, Hunan Cancer Hospital from July 2016 to June 2018 were analyzed retrospectively. There were 130 females and 10 males, aging (35.4±9.8) years (range: 11 to 56 years). The operative time, intraoperative blood loss, postoperative hospital stay, postoperative suction drainage, postoperative pain score, postoperative cosmetic satisfaction and postoperative complications (recurrent laryngeal nerve palsy, hypoparathyroidism, infection, pneumoderm, seroma and mental nerve injury) were summarized. Results: Of the 140 patients, 1 patient was transferred to open surgery. Fifty-nine patients underwent thyroidectomy with an operation time of (100.8±18.9) minutes. Sixty-three patients underwent thyroidectomy and central lymphadenectomy with an operation time of (112.1±16.6) minutes. Eighteen cases underwent total thyroidectomy and central lymphadenectomy with an operation time of (185.3±25.9) minutes. The postoperative hospital stay was (3.76±0.98) days. The postoperative drainage was (96.8±36.2) ml. The 24-hour postoperative pain score was 2.66±1.23, the postoperative cosmetic satisfaction was 9.65±0.24. Among the postoperative complications, there were 3 cases of temporary recurrent laryngeal nerve palsy, 2 cases of permanent recurrent laryngeal nerve palsy, 4 cases of temporary hypoparathyroidism but no permanent hypoparathyroidism, 2 cases of infection, 1 case of seroma, 3 cases of pneumoderm, and no cases of mental nerve injury. Conclusion: The modified TOETVA by dissection of mental nerve is safe and feasible.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the safety and efficacy of endoscopic submucosal multi-tunnel dissection (ESMTD) for early esophageal cancer lesions larger than 3 cm in diameter or cumulatively greater than 1/2 lumen size. METHOD Early esophageal cancer lesions in 15 patients were detected by endoscopy and endoscopic ultrasonography in our endoscopy center from December 2012 to June 2015. All lesions were successfully resected by ESMTD and diagnosed by pathology, and therapeutic efficiency and safety were followed after surgery. RESULTS All 15 of the early esophageal cancer lesions were resected by ESMTD. The pathological results showed 9 moderately differentiated and 6 highly differentiated squamous cell carcinomas. En bloc resection was achieved in 13 lesions, with negative lateral and basal margins on pathology, whereas the other 2 required additional surgery. The average diameter of the resected lesions was 4.2±0.9 cm. The mean procedure time was 94.7±52.9 min. Esophageal stenosis was observed in 7 patients for whom esophageal water balloon dilatation was performed. No residual or recurrent lesion was found during the 6-36-month follow-up period. CONCLUSION ESMTD is a safe and efficient technique for treating large early esophageal cancer lesions. Grasping the key techniques of this procedure can reduce operating difficulty and shorten the operating time.

Abstract
Most compound acetabular fractures involving both the anterior and posterior columns are caused by high-energy injuries. Patients with compound acetabular fractures are often in critical or poor condition and cannot tolerate major surgery. This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of an ilioischial plate in treating compound acetabular fractures. A consecutive series of 40 patients with complex acetabular fractures were surgically treated and retrospectively reviewed. A modified Stoppa approach in combination with an iliac fossa approach was used. In all of the cases, the anterior column was stabilized with reconstruction plates for the iliac wing and along the iliopectineal line to the pubis. The posterior column was fixed either with the newly developed ilioischial plate running from the ilium to the ischial ramus or with standard fixation techniques. These included either conventional posterior column screws or quadrilateral plate fixation. Patients were divided into an experimental group (ilioischial plate for posterior column fixation) and a control group (standard fixation techniques). In both groups, we found that 90% of all reductions were good to excellent. According to the modified Merle Aubigne and Postel scoring system, the percentage of good to excellent was 85% in the experimental group as compared to 80% in the control group. Compared with the control group, physical function (PF), role physical (RP) and social function (SF) were significantly better in the experimental group (P<0.05). Fracture healing was achieved in all patients. By using the modified Stoppa approach combined with the iliac fossa approach, the ilioischial plate can be directly fixed to the posterior column and the ilium to stabilize the posterior column in patients with complex acetabular fractures.

Abstract
In this study, we aimed to explore the effects of imatinib on the proliferation of rheumatoid arthritis synovial cell (RA-FLS) and inflammatory responses by regulating CSF1R. Differential genes were screened via microarray analysis, followed by being analysed through the weighted co-expression network (WGCNA) network, that included module and cluster analysis. The relationship between imatinib and genes was visualized using the Search Tool for the Retrieval of Interacting Genes (STITCH) database. Expressions of mRNA and protein were determined by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and Western blot, respectively. Cell viability was examined via clone formation assay, while cell cycle and apoptosis were analysed through flow cytometry analysis. The hub gene CSF1R was ultimately determined by microarray analysis and WGCNA analysis. Colony-stimulating-factor receptor-1 (SF1R) was highly expressed in rheumatoid arthritis tissues and cells, and CSF1R over-expression could promote inflammatory responses. Moreover, CSF1R could promote RA-FLS proliferation, inhibit apoptosis and accelerate the cell cycle. The targeting relationship between imatinib and CSF1R was also validated in this study. Imatinib attenuated RA-FLS inflammation in a concentration-dependent manner. Meanwhile, imatinib could inhibit RA-FLS proliferation and promote apoptosis, ultimately reducing the damage of RA-FLS. Over-expression of CSF1R accelerated the cell cycle and proliferation of RA-FLS, while inhibiting cell apoptosis. Conversely, imatinib could significantly restrain the cell cycle and viability of RA-FLS and accelerated apoptosis via suppression of CSF1R expression. Further, histological and serological assay investigated and proved the proinflammatory effects of CSF1R in RA rabbits.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The aim of the present work was to study the prevention of liver cancer angiogenesis via miR-126. For this purpose, experimentations were conducted. MATERIALS AND METHODS The precursor sequence of miR-126 was amplified in the DNA of human liver cancer cell lines. We, therefore, constructed the overexpression and interference vectors of miR-126 in vitro; which were respectively transferred to liver cancer cells in the logarithmic phase and inoculated under both sides of the back skin of Balb/c-nu nude mice aged 4-6 weeks with 10 mu l (1 x 105) cell suspension. The experiment consisted of non-vector control group, miR-126 overexpression group, and miR-126 inhibition group. Eight weeks later, the mice were sacrified; the tumor volumes and serum ALT, AFP, VEGF levels were compared. VEGF expression, as well as the microvascular density of the liver tissues, was detected via immunohistochemistry. RESULTS Tumors volumes, serum ALT, AFP and VEGF levels and positive rates of VEGF were low in the miR-126 overexpression group and high in the miR-126 inhibition group, the difference being statistically significant (p < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS At the end of this study, we conclude that miR-126 inhibits liver cancer angiogenesis.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES To evaluate the diagnostic yield of prenatal whole exome sequencing (WES) for monogenic disorders in fetuses with structural malformations and normal results on cytogenetic testing, and to describe information on pathogenic variants that is provided by WES. METHODS Karyotyping, chromosomal microarray analysis (CMA) and WES were performed sequentially on stored samples from a cohort of 3949 pregnancies with fetal structural abnormalities detected on ultrasound and/or magnetic resonance imaging, referred between January 2011 and December 2015. Diagnostic rates of the three techniques were investigated overall, for phenotypic subgroups and for proband-only vs fetus-mother-father samples. Information on pathogenic variants was identified by WES. RESULTS Overall, 18.2% (720/3949) of fetuses had an abnormal karyotype. Pathogenic copy number variants were detected on CMA in 8.2% (138/1680) of fetuses that had a normal karyotype result. WES performed on a subgroup of 196 fetuses with normal CMA and karyotype results revealed the putative genetic variants responsible for the abnormal phenotypes in 47 cases (24%). The molecular diagnosis rates for fetus-mother-father and proband-only samples were 26.5% (13/49) and 23.1% (34/147), respectively. Variants of uncertain significance were detected in 12.8% (25/196) of fetuses, of which 22 were identified in the fetal proband-only group (15%; 22/147) and three in the fetus-mother-father group (6.1%; 3/49). The incidental finding rate was 6.1% (12/196). CONCLUSIONS WES is a promising method for the identification of genetic variants that cause structural abnormalities in fetuses with normal results on karyotyping and CMA. This enhanced diagnostic yield has the potential to improve the clinical management of pregnancies and to inform better the reproductive decisions of affected families. Copyright © 2017 ISUOG. Abstract
Radiomics describes a broad set of computational methods that extract quantitative features from radiographic images. The resulting features can be used to inform imaging diagnosis, prognosis, and therapy response in oncology. However, major challenges remain for methodologic developments to optimize feature extraction and provide rapid information flow in clinical settings. Equally important, to be clinically useful, predictive radiomic properties must be clearly linked to meaningful biologic characteristics and qualitative imaging properties familiar to radiologists. Here we use a cross-disciplinary approach to highlight studies in radiomics. We review brain tumor radiologic studies (eg, imaging interpretation) through computational models (eg, computer vision and machine learning) that provide novel clinical insights. We outline current quantitative image feature extraction and prediction strategies with different levels of available clinical classes for supporting clinical decision-making. We further discuss machine-learning challenges and data opportunities to advance radiomic studies.

Abstract
Objective: To explore investigate the application of free medial thigh perforator flaps with different pedicle origins in the reconstruction of defect after radical resection of buccal mucosa squamous cell carcinoma. Methods: From January 2015 to December 2016, 32 cases with buccal mucosa squamous cell carcinoma underwent radical resection and buccal mucosa defect after surgery was reconstructed by free medial thigh perforator flap at the same stage. The patients included 32 males and 5 females, ranged in age from 36 to 71 years (45.2 years on average). According to UICC stage: T4N0M0 13 cases, T4N1M0 12 cases, T3N1M0 5 cases, T3N2M0 2 cases. The course ranged from 1 to 30 months (9.6 months on average). Results: The perforator flaps ranged from 8.0 cm×3.5 cm to 15.5 cm×6.0 cm in size, from 2.0 to 4.5 cm in thickness.The mean length of pedicles from gracilis muscle was (8.7±0.4) cm in 19 cases, the mean length of pedicles from adductor magnus muscle was (9.5±0.4) cm in 9 cases and the length of pedicles from femoral artery was (6.9±0.5) cm in 4 cases.All 44 perforator flaps survived uneventfully. The donor sites in the medial thigh were closed directly and healed well in all cases. Patients were followed up for 8 to 32 months with satisfied esthetic and functional results in reconstructed tongue, with no local recurrence. Only linear scars left in the donor sites, the functions of thighs were not affected. Conclusion: The free medial thigh perforator flap is an idea choice to reconstruct the defect after radical resection of buccal mucosa squamous cell carcinoma.

Abstract
The aim of this study was to identify metabolite biomarkers associated with acute rejection after heart transplantation in rats using a LC-MS-based metabolomics approach. A model of heterotopic cardiac xenotransplantation was established in rats, with Wistar rats as donors and SD rats as recipients. Blood and cardiac samples were collected from blank control rats (Group A), rats 5 (Group B) and 7 days (Group C) after heart transplantation, and pretreated rats 5 (Group D) and 7 days (Group E) post-transplantation for pathological and metabolomics analyses. We assessed International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation (ISHLT) grades 0, 3B, 4, 1 and 1 rejection in groups A to E. There were 15 differential metabolites between groups A and B, 14 differential metabolites between groups A and C, and 10 differential metabolites between groups B and C. In addition, four common differential metabolites, including D-tagatose, choline, C16 sphinganine and D-glutamine, were identified between on days 5 and 7 post-transplantation. Our findings demonstrate that the panel of D-tagatose, choline, C16 sphinganine and D-glutamine exhibits a high sensitivity and specificity for the early diagnosis of acute rejection after heart transplantation, and LC-MS-based metabolomics approach has a potential value for screening post-transplantation biomarkers.

Abstract
Aiming at the functional requirement of climbing up the stairs, the dynamics and stability during a tracked mobile robot's climbing of stairs is studied. First, from the analysis of its cross-country performance, the mechanical structure of the tracked mobile robot is designed and the hardware composition of its control system is given. Second, based on the analysis to its stairs-climbing process, the dynamical model of stairs-climbing is established by using the classical mechanics method. Next, the stability conditions for its stairs-climbing are determined and an evaluation method of its stairs-climbing stability is proposed, based on a mechanics analysis on the robot's backwards tumbling during the stairs-climbing process. Through simulation and experiments, the effectiveness of the dynamical model and the stability evaluation method of the tracked mobile robot in stairs-climbing is verified, which can provide design and analysis foundations for the tracked mobile robots' stairs-climbing.
