Abstract
Diarrhea-induced mortality among juvenile yaks is highly prevalent in the pastoral areas of the Qinghai-Tibet plateau. Although numerous diseases have been linked to the gut microbial community, little is known about how diarrhea affects the gut microbiota in yaks. In this work, we investigated and compared changes in the gut microbiota of juvenile yaks with diarrhea. The results demonstrated a considerable drop in the alpha diversity of the gut microbiota in diarrheic yaks, accompanied by Eysipelatoclostridium, Parabacteroides, and Escherichia-Shigella, which significantly increased during diarrhea. Furthermore, a PICRust analysis verified the elevation of the gut-microbial metabolic pathways in diarrhea groups, including glycine, serine, and threonine metabolism, alanine, aspartate, oxidative phosphorylation, glutamate metabolism, antibiotic biosynthesis, and secondary metabolite biosynthesis. Taken together, our study showed that the harmful bacteria increased, and beneficial bacteria decreased significantly in the gut microbiota of yaks with diarrhea. Moreover, these results also indicated that the dysbiosis of the gut microbiota may be a significant driving factor of diarrhea in yaks.

Abstract
Li-rich cathode materials have emerged as one of the most prospective options for Li-ion batteries owing to their remarkable energy density (>900 Wh kg-1). However, voltage hysteresis during charge and discharge process lowers the energy conversion efficiency, which hinders their application in practical devices. Herein, the fundamental reason for voltage hysteresis through investigating the O redox behavior under different (de)lithiation states is unveiled and it is successfully addressed by formulating the local environment of O2-. In Li-rich Mn-based materials, it is confirmed that there exists reaction activity of oxygen ions at low discharge voltage (<3.6 V) in the presence of TM-TM-Li ordered arrangement, generating massive amount of voltage hysteresis and resulting in a decreased energy efficiency (80.95%). Moreover, in the case where Li 2b sites are numerously occupied by TM ions, the local environment of O2- evolves, the reactivity of oxygen ions at low voltage is significantly inhibited, thus giving rise to the large energy conversion efficiency (89.07%). This study reveals the structure-activity relationship between the local environment around O2- and voltage hysteresis, which provides guidance in designing next-generation high-performance cathode materials.

Abstract
Esophageal cancer (EC) treatment via anti-angiogenic therapy faces challenges due to non-cytotoxicity and non-specific biodistribution of the anti-angiogenic agents. Hence, the quest for a synergistic treatment modality and a targeted delivery approach to effectively address EC has become imperative. In this study, an acid-responsive release nanosystem (Bev-IR820@FeIII TA) that involves the conjugation of bevacizumab, an anti-angiogenic monoclonal antibody, with TA and Fe3+ to form a metal-phenolic network, followed by loading with the near-infrared photothermal agent (IR820) to achieve combinational therapy, is designed. The construction of Bev-IR820@FeIII TA can be realized through a facile self-assembly process. The Bev-IR820@FeIII TA exhibits tumor-targeting capabilities and synergistic therapeutic effects, encompassing anti-angiogenic therapy, photothermal therapy (PTT), and ferroptosis therapy (FT). Bev-IR820@FeIII TA exhibits remarkable proficiency in delivering drugs to EC tissue through its pH-responsive release properties. Consequently, bevacizumab exerts its therapeutic effects by obstructing tumor angiogenesis, thereby impeding tumor growth. Meanwhile, PTT facilitates localized thermal ablation at the tumor site, directly eradicating EC cells. FT synergistically collaborates with PTT, giving rise to the formation of a reactive oxygen species (ROS) storm, subsequently culminating in the demise of EC cells. In summary, this amalgamated treatment modality carries substantial promise for synergistically impeding EC progression and showcases auspicious prospects for future EC treatment.

Abstract
Livestock's live body dimensions are a pivotal indicator of economic output. Manual measurement is labor-intensive and time-consuming, often eliciting stress responses in the livestock. With the advancement of computer technology, the techniques for livestock live body dimension measurement have progressed rapidly, yielding significant research achievements. This paper presents a comprehensive review of the recent advancements in livestock live body dimension measurement, emphasizing the crucial role of computer-vision-based sensors. The discussion covers three main aspects: sensing data acquisition, sensing data processing, and sensing data analysis. The common techniques and measurement procedures in, and the current research status of, live body dimension measurement are introduced, along with a comparative analysis of their respective merits and drawbacks. Livestock data acquisition is the initial phase of live body dimension measurement, where sensors are employed as data collection equipment to obtain information conducive to precise measurements. Subsequently, the acquired data undergo processing, leveraging techniques such as 3D vision technology, computer graphics, image processing, and deep learning to calculate the measurements accurately. Lastly, this paper addresses the existing challenges within the domain of livestock live body dimension measurement in the livestock industry, highlighting the potential contributions of computer-vision-based sensors. Moreover, it predicts the potential development trends in the realm of high-throughput live body dimension measurement techniques for livestock.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Older adults with postprandial hypotension (PPH) increase susceptibility to falls, syncope, stroke, acute cardiovascular diseases and even death. However, the prevalence of this condition varies significantly across studies. We aimed to determine the prevalence of PPH in older adults. METHODS Web of Science, PubMed, Cochrane Library, Embase and CINAHL were searched from their inception until February 2023. Search terms included 'postprandial period', 'hypotension' and 'postprandial hypotension'. Eligible studies were assessed using the Joanna Briggs Institute tool. Meta-analyses were performed among similar selected studies. RESULTS Thirteen eligible studies were included, and data from 3,021 participants were pooled. The meta-analysis revealed a PPH prevalence of 40.5% [95% confidence interval (CI): 0.290-0.519] in older adults, and this was prevalent in the community (32.8%, 95% CI: 0.078-0.647, n = 1,594), long-term healthcare facility (39.4%, 95% CI: 0.254-0.610, n = 1,062) and geriatrics department of hospitals (49.3%, 95% CI: 0.357-0.630, n = 365). The pooled results showed significant heterogeneity (I2 > 90%), partially related to the different ages, sex, pre-prandial systolic blood pressure levels of participants, or the different criteria and methodology used to diagnose PPH. CONCLUSIONS PPH is a prevalent condition in older adults. Further research is needed to confirm this result, and priority should be given to establishing international consensus on PPH diagnostic criteria and designing its diagnostic procedure.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To reflect on the complications of transvaginal natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery (vNOTES), identify the corresponding risk factors, and provide caution to surgeons when performing this novel surgery. METHODS A retrospective study was carried out among 2000 patients in our hospital who underwent vNOTES between May 2019 and May 2022. Perioperative complications were stratified in chronological order and divided into those developed while establishing the vNOTES approach, during surgery, postoperatively, and 1 month after discharge. The complications were classified based on the Modified Clavien-Dindo classifications. The causes of each type III/IV complication were analyzed. RESULTS Of the 2000 patients, 88 (4.4%) experienced complications, which is not higher than that reported in laparoendoscopic surgery in previous studies. Grade I, II, III, IV, and V complications developed in 19 (0.95%), 57 (2.85%), 11 (0.55%), 1 (0.05%), and 0 (0%) patients, respectively. Complications were developed while establishing the approach platform, during the surgery, postoperatively, and within 1 month after discharge in 5 (0.25%), 30 (1.50%), 50 (2.50%), and 3 (0.15%) patients, respectively. Eight patients (0.4%) underwent conversion, including five cases of rectal injury repair. CONCLUSION The summarized suggestions were divided into three levels. Considering the security and effectiveness of vNOTES, it can be routinely used in various gynecologic operations. However, surgeons should focus on preoperative evaluation, strictly conduct preoperative disinfection, conform to prompt conversion during surgery, call for the presence of experienced doctors, and have routine use of antibiotics to prevent postoperative infections. Abstract
Intragranular cracking within the material structure of Ni-rich (LiNix Coy Mn1 - x - y , x ≥0.9) cathodes greatly threatens cathode integrity and causes capacity degradation, yet its atomic-scale incubation mechanism is not completely elucidated. Notably, the physicochemical properties of component elements fundamentally determine the material structure of cathodes. Herein, a diffusion-controlled incubation mechanism of intragranular cracking is unraveled, and an underlying correlation model with Co element is established. Multi-dimensional analysis reveals that oxygen vacancies appear due to the charge compensation from highly oxidizing Co ions in the deeply charged state, driving the transition metal migration to Li layer and layered to rock-salt phase transition. The local accumulation of two accompanying tensile strains collaborates to promote the nucleation and growth of intragranular cracks along the fragile rock-salt phase domain on (003) plane. This study focuses on the potential risks posed by Co to the architectural and thermal stability of Ni-rich cathodes and is dedicated to the compositional design and performance optimization of Ni-rich cathodes.

Abstract
The development of urbanization and the protection of the ecological environment are important aspects of sustainable development in urban agglomerations; thus, their coordination and synergy are crucial. Scholars in both China and other countries have conducted extensive research on the relationship between urbanization and the ecological environment from the perspective of coordinated development. However, there is a lack of research on the synergistic effects of urbanization and the ecological environment. Taking the Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration as an example, this study uses the Haken model to analyze the synergistic evolution mechanism, development patterns, and future trends of urbanization and the ecological environment. This study draws the following conclusions: (1) while a synergistic development mechanism has been established between urbanization and the ecological environment, the current system is still in a stage of low-level synergy, and the control system's parameter for the direction and path of evolution is urbanization. (2) From 2001 to 2020, the level of synergistic development between urbanization and the ecological environment was relatively low, mainly moving from low-level synergy to medium-low-level synergy to medium-level synergy. (3) There is a significant spatial disparity in the levels of synergistic development, for which the leading region centers on Chengdu and Chongqing in the northwest and southeast, respectively, and the lagging region comprises the eastern part of the urban agglomeration, mainly represented by Dazhou, Kaizhou, and Yunyang. (4) The future trend of synergistic development between urbanization and the ecological environment in the Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration is promising but requires increased infrastructure construction in mountainous urban areas, enhanced cooperation and circulation in transportation, logistics, information and other aspects, and balanced improvements in the level of synergistic development between urbanization and the ecological environment. The study of the synergistic development effect of urbanization and the ecological environment in urban agglomerations is of great significance for reducing the negative impact of urbanization on the ecological environment, increasing the positive interaction between the two, and promoting sustainable development in urban agglomerations.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Tuberculum sellae meningiomas (TSMs) account for 5 to 10% of all intracranial meningiomas. They typically invade the optic canal and displace the optic nerve upward and laterally. The transcranial approach has been the standard surgical approach, while the transsphenoidal approach has been proposed for its minimally invasive nature; however, some reservations concerning this approach remain. METHODS From January 2000 to December 2018, a total of 97 patients who were diagnosed with TSM with invasion of the optic canal were enrolled and underwent microsurgery for tumor removal with optic canal opening. A retrospective analysis was performed on the effect of optic canal opening on postoperative visual acuity improvement. The median follow-up was 17.4 months (range: 3-86 months). RESULTS Among the 97 patients with TSM involving the optic canal, optic canal invasion was seen on preoperative imaging in 73 patients and during intraoperative exploration in all patients. In total, 87/97 patients (89.7%) underwent optic canal opening to remove tumors involving the optic canal, and the rate of total macroscopic resection of tumors invading the optic canal was 100%. Among the 10 patients who did not undergo optic canal opening, the rate of total resection of tumors involving the optic canal was 80% (8/10, p < 0.001). There were no deaths or serious complications. The postoperative visual acuity improvement rate was 64.4%, 23.7% maintained the preoperative level, and the visual acuity deteriorated 11.9%. CONCLUSION Intraoperative optic canal opening is the key to total resection of TSMs involving the optic canal and improving postoperative visual acuity.

Abstract
Plant phenolic compounds have attracted considerable attention because of their health benefits. This study aimed to investigate the composition and antioxidant activity of phenol extracts from Polygonatum zanlanscianense Pamp. steam and leaf (PPP). The FTIR, UPLC-Q-Obtrip-MS, and HPLC-DAD methods were used to analyze the composition of PPP, and 20 phenolic compounds were preliminarily identified. Among them, the contents of hyperin, astragalin, and diosmetin levels were the highest. Treatment with PPP can significantly reduce t-BHP-induced cell damage in HepG2 cells, reactive oxygen species (ROS) accumulation, and malondialdehyde (MDA) content. Meanwhile, the superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione (GSH), and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) activities can be increased. Moreover, PPP enhanced Nrf2 expression, which was consistent with that of heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1), glutamate-cysteine ligase catalytic subunit (GCLC), and NAD(P)H quinone oxidoreductase-1 (NQO1), whereas the expression of Keap1, the Nrf2 inhibitor, was decreased. All findings indicate that PPP can serve as a natural bioactive substance for preventing oxidative stress.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES To design an improved oral lichen planus (OLP) scoring system, which can be widely applied. SUBJECTS AND METHODS A new scoring system that took reticulation, hyperemia and ulceration (RHU) into account, named as RHU scoring system, was designed for OLP patients' management. The patients were also scored for the reticulation/erythema/ulcer (REU) scoring system, physician global assessment (PGA), numerical rating scale (NRS) and Oral Health Impact Profile-14 (OHIP-14). The reliability and validity analyses were utilized to assess the RHU scoring system. We further applied the RHU scoring system to examine the treatment outcomes of topical dexamethasone sodium phosphate and general hydroxychloroquine hydrochloride among OLP patients. RESULTS Forty-eight OLP patients from two medical centers were recruited. This new scoring system has reliability with an internal consistency index Cronbach α 0.49. The Pearson correlation of RHU score with PGA and REU score were 0.891 and 0.675 (p < 0.05) respectively, reflecting satisfactory standard validity. A 10% change in RHU score was used as the disease condition evaluation standard, reflecting satisfactory discriminating validity (t = -5.821, p < 0.001). During follow-ups, scores of all scales decreased at each re-visit. The drop between each visit of OHIP-14 fluctuated compared with the RHU system and NRS. CONCLUSIONS As a semi-quantitative score system, the RHU scoring system can reflect the severity of OLP patients with hyperemia and ulceration lesions more accurately and sensitively compared with other score systems, which provides the potential to be widely used.

Abstract
The relative age effect (RAE) has been the subject of many studies, but no relevant literature has discussed the phenomenon of RAE in Chinese tennis. Numerous studies have demonstrated that RAE significantly contributes to brain drain and other occurrences that create inequity. This paper analyzes the birth dates and year-end rankings of all male players (N = 2697) who participated in China's junior tennis tournaments (U12, U14, U16) between 2014 and 2019 and who were selected for China's National Junior Team in 2019 and 2020; the paper classifies the birth dates into quarters and semesters. One of the research objectives of this study is to analyze whether RAE exists in Chinese junior men's tennis and whether RAE exerts an effect on athletes' performance. Differences between the observed and expected birthdate distributions were tested using chi-square statistics, and subsequent calculations were tested using odds ratios. The study found that RAE was present in all Chinese junior male tennis sports groups (p<0.001). The percentages of athletes born in the first half of the year were 56.4% (U12), 60.4% (U14), and 60.4% (U16), and the percentages of those born in the first quarter were 34.1% (U12), 36.4% (U14), and 37.1% (U16). Athletes with birth dates closer to the beginning of the year had a higher probability of achieving excellent athletic performance as a result of RAE, whereas those who were born near the end of the year had a more difficult time achieving strong athletic performance.

Abstract
Introduction Family environment is the primary environment for adolescent growth and development, which is believed to have an important impact on the occurrence of non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) behavior in adolescents. This study aimed to explore the effects of family environment cognition and cognitive differences perceived by adolescents and their parents on the treatment effects of NSSI in adolescents and to provide more potential perspectives for NSSI treatment. Methods A one-year prospective longitudinal sub-cohort investigation was carried out among 199 adolescents engaged in NSSI and one of their important guardians from the Longitudinal Psychosomatic Disease Study (LoPDS). The NSSI behaviors of adolescents were evaluated at 3 months, 6 months and 1 year after enrollment. The family environment scale (FES) and NSSI Behavior Questionnaire were used as assessment tools for family environment and adolescents NSSI behaviors. Multiple linear regression was used to investigate the role of family environment perception difference in the treatment effect of adolescent NSSI. Results After one year of follow-up, the perceived self-injury impulse score in recent 2 weeks, self-injury impulse frequency in recent 2 weeks, total number of self-injury in recent 2 weeks decreased significantly. The higher the adolescent family cohesion (Beta: 1.130, 95% CI: 0.886,1.373; p=0.032), parental family expressiveness (Beta: 0.818, 95% CI: 0.375,1.260; p=0.037) and parental family active-recreational orientation score (Beta: 0.609, 95% CI: 0.236,0.981; p=0.048), the better the treatment effect. However, higher adolescent family conflict (Beta: -0.838, 95% CI: -1.377,-0.298; p=0.024) were associated with lower treatment outcomes. The greater the cognitive difference between parents and adolescents in family cohesion (Beta: -1.307, 95% CI: -2.074,-0.539; p=0.014) and family conflict(Beta: -0.665, 95% CI: -0.919,-0.410; p=0.037), the worse the therapeutic effect of NSSI might be. Discussion There were certain differences in the cognition of family relationships between parents and adolescents, and subjective family relationship cognition and cognitive differences had a significant effect on the treatment effect of NSSI in adolescents. Helping them identify the cause of cognitive differences and conducting systematic family therapy from the points of difference may be another perspective to improve the treatment effect of NSSI in adolescents.

Abstract
The plum is a kind of delicious and common fruit with high edible value and nutritional value. The accurate and effective detection of plum fruit is the key to fruit number counting and pest and disease early warning. However, the actual plum orchard environment is complex, and the detection of plum fruits has many problems, such as leaf shading and fruit overlapping. The traditional method of manually estimating the number of fruits and the presence of pests and diseases used in the plum growing industry has disadvantages, such as low efficiency, a high cost, and low accuracy. To detect plum fruits quickly and accurately in a complex orchard environment, this paper proposes an efficient plum fruit detection model based on an improved You Only Look Once version 7(YOLOv7). First, different devices were used to capture high-resolution images of plum fruits growing under natural conditions in a plum orchard in Gulin County, Sichuan Province, and a dataset for plum fruit detection was formed after the manual screening, data enhancement, and annotation. Based on the dataset, this paper chose YOLOv7 as the base model, introduced the Convolutional Block Attention Module (CBAM) attention mechanism in YOLOv7, used Cross Stage Partial Spatial Pyramid Pooling-Fast (CSPSPPF) instead of Cross Stage Partial Spatial Pyramid Pooling(CSPSPP) in the network, and used bilinear interpolation to replace the nearest neighbor interpolation in the original network upsampling module to form the improved target detection algorithm YOLOv7-plum. The tested YOLOv7-plum model achieved an average precision (AP) value of 94.91%, which was a 2.03% improvement compared to the YOLOv7 model. In order to verify the effectiveness of the YOLOv7-plum algorithm, this paper evaluated the performance of the algorithm through ablation experiments, statistical analysis, etc. The experimental results showed that the method proposed in this study could better achieve plum fruit detection in complex backgrounds, which helped to promote the development of intelligent cultivation in the plum industry.

Abstract
Introduction Coronavirus disease 2019 has become a major global public health concern in December 2019. However, finding and excluding close contacts of COVID-19 infectors is a critical but difficult issue. This study aimed to introduce a new method of epidemiological investigation named space-time companions, which was adopted in Chengdu, China, in November 2021. Methods An observational investigation was conducted during a small outbreak of COVID-19 in Chengdu, China in November 2021. A new method of epidemiological investigation called space-time companion was adopted in this outbreak, which was defined as the one who stayed in the same spatiotemporal grid (range: 800 m * 800 m) with the confirmed COVID-19 infector for more than 10 min in the last 14 days. A flow chart was used to describe the screening process of space-time companions in detail and illustrate the space-time companion epidemic management method. Results The COVID-19 epidemic outbreak in Chengdu was effectively controlled for approximately one incubation period (14 days). After four rounds of space-time companions screening, more than 450,000 space-time companions were screened, including 27 COVID-19 infectors. Moreover, in the subsequent rounds of nucleic acid testing for all people in the city, no infected person were found proving the end of this epidemic outbreak. Conclusion The space-time companion provides a new idea for screening close contacts of the COVID-19 infector and other similar infectious diseases, which can serve as a supplement to traditional epidemiological history surveys to verify and avoid missing close contacts.

Abstract
As natural medicines in complementary and alternative medicine, edible and medicinal resources are being gradually recognized throughout the world. According to statistics from the World Health Organization, about 80% of the worldwide population has used edible and medicinal resource products to prevent and treat diseases. Polysaccharides, one of the main effective components in edible and medicinal resources, are considered ideal regulators of various biological responses due to their high effectiveness and low toxicity, and they have a wide range of possible applications for the development of functional foods for the regulation of common, frequently occurring, chronic and severe diseases. Such applications include the development of polysaccharide products for the prevention and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases that are difficult to control by a single treatment, which is of great value to the aging population. Therefore, we evaluated the potential of polysaccharides to prevent neurodegeneration by their regulation of behavioral and major pathologies, including abnormal protein aggregation and neuronal damage caused by neuronal apoptosis, autophagy, oxidative damage, neuroinflammation, unbalanced neurotransmitters, and poor synaptic plasticity. This includes multi-target and multi-pathway regulation involving the mitochondrial pathway, MAPK pathway, NF-κB pathway, Nrf2 pathway, mTOR pathway, PI3K/AKT pathway, P53/P21 pathway, and BDNF/TrkB/CREB pathway. In this paper, research into edible and medicinal resource polysaccharides for neurodegenerative diseases was reviewed in order to provide a basis for the development and application of polysaccharide health products and promote the recognition of functional products of edible and medicinal resources.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Spindle cell tumors, called solitary fibrous tumors (SFTs), are of mesenchymal origin, and can develop in the orbit. As 'intermediate malignancy' tumors, only a small percentage show malignant behavior, such as invasion of surrounding tissue. CASE PRESENTATION A 57-year-old woman presented with a 19-year history of a giant right orbital mass. Orbital computed tomography (CT) revealed an inhomogeneously-enhancing mass compressing and engulfing the eyeball and optic nerve. She underwent lid-sparing orbital exenteration. Microscopic characteristics and immunohistochemistry (IHC) tests were indicative of a benign SFT. No recurrence was observed at the 4-year follow-up. CONCLUSION Early and complete tumor resection is recommended.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE This study aimed to translate the English version of the Perceived Competence Scale for Disaster Mental Health Workforce (PCS-DMHW) into Chinese, and to test its reliability and validity in Chinese mental health workers. METHODS With the consent of Professor Choi, Keimyung University, Korea, and the authorization of the scale, the English version of PCS-DMHW was translated, retranslated and culturally debugged to form the Chinese version of PCS-DMHW. The general information questionnaire and the Chinese version of PCS-DMHW scale were used to investigate 706 mental health workforce from 9 tertiary hospitals in Sichuan province in China from March 24, 2020 to April 14, 2020. The Cronbach's α coefficient was used to evaluate the internal consistency reliability of the scale, and the test-retest correlation coefficient r was used to evaluate the test-retest reliability of the scale. The content validity indexes (CVI) and exploratory factor analysis (EFA) was used separately for evaluating the content validity and structure validity of the scale. RESULTS The Cronbach's α coefficient of the Chinese version of PCS-DMHW total scale, individual competences and organizational competences subscale was 0.978, 0.956, and 0.964, respectively. The test-retest reliability of the total scale, individual competences and organizational competences subscale was 0.949, 0.932 and 0.927, respectively. The item-level CVI of all scale were ranged from 0.833-1.000, the scale-level CVI (S-CVI)/universal agreement of the total scale, individual competences and organizational competences subscale was 0.833, 0.875, and 0.857, respectively, and the S-CVI/average was 0.972, 0.979, and 0.976, respectively. EFA showed that two principal components were extracted from the subscale of individual competences and organizational competences. CONCLUSION The Chinese version of PCS-DMHW has good reliability and validity, and can be widely used in China.

Abstract
One-dimensional and two-dimensional materials are widely used to compose the conductive network atop soft substrate to form flexible strain sensors for several wearable electronic applications. However, limited contact area and layer misplacement hinder the rapid development of flexible strain sensors based on 1D or 2D materials. To overcome these drawbacks above, we proposed a hybrid strategy by combining 1D carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and 2D graphene nanoplatelets (GNPs), and the developed strain sensor based on CNT-GNP hierarchical networks showed remarkable sensitivity and tenability. The strain sensor can be stretched in excess of 50% of its original length, showing high sensitivity (gauge factor 197 at 10% strain) and tenability (recoverable after 50% strain) due to the enhanced resistive behavior upon stretching. Moreover, the GNP-CNT hybrid thin film shows highly reproducible response for more than 1000 loading cycles, exhibiting long-term durability, which could be attributed to the GNPs conductive networks significantly strengthened by the hybridization with CNTs. Human activities such as finger bending and throat swallowing were monitored by the GNP-CNT thin film strain sensor, indicating that the stretchable sensor could lead to promising applications in wearable devices for human motion monitoring.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Morbid obesity (body mass index > 40 kg/m2) is a risk factor for the development of left ventricular systolic dysfunction (LVSD) and can complicate the management of LVSD. Bariatric surgery is increasingly recognized as a safe and effective way to achieve marked weight loss, but studies on improving LVSD populations are limited. We retrospectively analyzed the first case of the Asia-Pacific region with morbid obesity and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) < 50% who underwent bariatric surgery at our medical center. PATIENT CONCERNS The patient was admitted to the hospital due to progressive weight gain for more than 10 years. The patient used to be in good health. One year before admission, the patient was hospitalized in another hospital due to shortness of breath. After the relevant examination, the patient was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy. DIAGNOSIS The body mass index of the patient was 45.9 kg/m2, and the patient was diagnosed with morbid obesity. He was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy and cardiac function class IV in another hospital. After completing a preoperative examination, the patient was diagnosed with hyperuricemia, hyperlipidemia, fatty liver disease and severe sleep apnea. INTERVENTIONS The patient successfully underwent laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy plus jejunal bypass. OUTCOMES Six months after the surgery, patient weight lost was 33.6 kg, and the LVEF increased from 31% to 55%. The cardiac function of the patient recovered from class IV to class I, and the patient's hyperuricemia, hyperlipidemia and sleep apnea were significantly improved. CONCLUSION Bariatric surgery may be a safe and effective intervention for morbidly obese patients with LVSD. Bariatric surgery was associated with an improvement in LVEF. However, the specific mechanism still needs further study.
