Abstract
Anthropogenic pressure in areas of biodiversity importance erodes the integrity of the ecosystems they harbour, making features of biodiversity less buffered against extreme climatic events. We define the combination of these disturbances as compound events. We assessed compound event risk in protected areas (PAs) applying a spatial framework guided by criteria and quantitative thresholds associated with exposure to cyclones, drought, and intense human pressure. This assessment was used in a relational matrix to classify PAs with different risk of compound event occurrence. We identified PAs of higher conservation concern by quantifying the extent of human pressure in their surrounding landscape while harbouring large numbers of threatened vertebrate species. Of the 39,694 PAs assessed, very high risk of compound events was determined for 6965 PAs (17.5 %) related to cyclones and human pressure (mainly island hotspots), 6367 PAs (16 %) related to droughts and human pressure (island and continental hotspots), and 2031 PAs (5 %) to cyclones, drought and human pressure (mainly in island hotspots). From the subset of 2031 PAs assessed at very high risk, we identified 239 PAs of higher conservation concern distributed predominantly in the Caribbean Islands, Japan, North America Coastal Plain, Philippines, and Southwest Australia. Our work highlights PAs in the biodiversity hotspots where high risk of compound event occurrence poses a greater threat to species. We encourage researchers to adapt and apply this framework across other globally significant sites for conserving biodiversity to identify high risk-prone areas, and prevent further biodiversity decline.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Severe pneumonia is one of the most important causes of mortality after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT). Adenovirus (ADV) is a significant cause of severe viral pneumonia after allo-HSCT, and we aimed to identify the clinical manifestations, prognostic factors, and outcomes of ADV pneumonia after allo-HSCT. METHODS Twenty-nine patients who underwent allo-HSCT at the Peking University Institute of Hematology and who experienced ADV pneumonia after allo-HSCT were enrolled in this study. The Kaplan-Meier method was used to estimate the probability of overall survival (OS). Potential prognostic factors for 100-day OS after ADV pneumonia were evaluated through univariate and multivariate Cox regression analyses. RESULTS The incidence rate of ADV pneumonia after allo-HSCT was approximately 0.71%. The median time from allo-HSCT to the occurrence of ADV pneumonia was 99 days (range 17-609 days). The most common clinical manifestations were fever (86.2%), cough (34.5%) and dyspnea (31.0%). The 100-day probabilities of ADV-related mortality and OS were 40.4% (95% CI 21.1%-59.7%) and 40.5% (95% CI 25.2%-64.9%), respectively. Patients with low-level ADV DNAemia had lower ADV-related mortality and better OS than did those with high-level (≥ 106 copies/ml in plasma) ADV DNAemia. According to the multivariate analysis, high-level ADV DNAemia was the only risk factor for intensive care unit admission, invasive mechanical ventilation, ADV-related mortality, and OS after ADV pneumonia. CONCLUSIONS We first reported the prognostic factors and confirmed the poor outcomes of patients with ADV pneumonia after allo-HSCT. Patients with high-level ADV DNAemia should receive immediate and intensive therapy.

Abstract
The efficacy of photodynamic therapy (PDT) is highly dependent on the photosensitizer features. The reactive oxygen species (ROS) generated by photosensitizers is proven to be associated with immunotherapy by triggering immunogenic cell death (ICD) as well. In this work, we establish a rhodamine-iridium(III) hybrid model functioning as a photosensitizer to comprehensively understand its performance and potential applications in photodynamic immunotherapy. Especially, the correlation between the ROS generation efficiency and the energy level of the Ir(III)-based excited state (T1'), modulated by the cyclometalating (C∧N) ligand, is systematically investigated and correlated. We prove that in addition to the direct population of the rhodamine triplet state (T1) formed through the intersystem crossing process with the assistance of a heavy Ir(III) metal center, the fine-tuned T1' state could act as a relay to provide an additional pathway for promoting the cascade energy transfer process that leads to enhanced ROS generation ability. Moreover, type I ROS can be effectively produced by introducing sulfur-containing thiophene units in C∧N ligands, providing a stronger M1 macrophage-activation efficiency under hypoxia to evoke in vivo antitumor immunity. Overall, our work provides a fundamental guideline for the molecular design and exploration of advanced transition-metal-based photosensitizers for biomedical applications.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the capillarization of liver sinusoidal endothelial cells (LSECs) and its association with hepatic fibrosis during the development of alveolar echinococcosis, so as to provide the basis for unraveling the mechanisms underlying the role of LSEC in the development and prognosis of hepatic injuries and hepatic fibrosis caused by alveolar echinococcosis. METHODS Forty C57BL/6 mice at ages of 6 to 8 weeks were randomly divided into a control group and 1-, 2- and 4-week infection groups, of 10 mice in each group. Each mouse in the infection groups was intraperitoneally injected with 2 000 Echinococcus multilocularis protoscoleces, while each mouse in the control group was given an equal volume of phosphate-buffered saline using the same method. All mice were sacrificed 1, 2 and 4 weeks post-infection and mouse livers were collected. The pathological changes of livers were observed using hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining, and hepatic fibrosis was evaluated through semi-quantitative analysis of Masson's trichrome staining-positive areas. The activation of hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) and extracellular matrix (ECM) deposition were examined using immunohistochemical staining of α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) and collagen type I alpha 1 (COL1A1), and the fenestrations on the surface of LSECs were observed using scanning electron microscopy. Primary LSECs were isolated from mouse livers, and the mRNA expression of LSEC marker genes Stabilin-1, Stabilin-2, Ehd3, CD209b, GATA4 and Maf was quantified using real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR (qPCR) assay. RESULTS Destruction of local liver lobular structure was observed in mice 2 weeks post-infection with E. multilocularis protoscoleces, and hydatid cysts, which were surrounded by granulomatous tissues, were found in mouse livers 4 weeks post-infection. Semi-quantitative analysis of Masson's trichrome staining showed a significant difference in the proportion of collagen fiber contents in mouse livers among the four groups (F = 26.060, P < 0.001), and a higher proportion of collagen fiber contents was detected in mouse livers in the 4-week infection group [(11.29 ± 2.58)%] than in the control group (P < 0.001). Immunohistochemical staining revealed activation of a few HSCs and ECM deposition in mouse livers 1 and 2 weeks post-infection, and abundant brown-yellow stained α-SMA and COL1A1 were deposited in the lesion areas in mouse livers 4 weeks post-infection, which spread to surrounding tissues. Semi-quantitative analysis revealed significant differences in α-SMA (F = 7.667, P < 0.05) and COL1A1 expression (F = 6.530, P < 0.05) in mouse levers among the four groups, with higher α-SMA [(7.13 ± 3.68)%] and COL1A1 expression [(13.18 ± 7.20)%] quantified in mouse livers in the 4-week infection group than in the control group (both P values < 0.05). Scanning electron microscopy revealed significant differences in the fenestration frequency (F = 37.730, P < 0.001) and porosity (F = 16.010, P < 0.001) on the surface of mouse LSECs among the four groups, and reduced fenestration frequency and porosity were observed in the 1-[(1.22 ± 0.48)/μm2 and [(3.05 ± 0.91)%] and 2-week infection groups [(3.47 ± 0.10)/μm2 and (7.57 ± 0.23)%] groups than in the control group (all P values < 0.001). There was a significant difference in the average fenestration diameter on the surface of mouse LSECs among the four groups (F = 15.330, P < 0.001), and larger average fenestration diameters were measured in the 1-[(180.80 ± 16.42) nm] and 2-week infection groups [(161.70 ± 3.85) nm] than in the control group (both P values < 0.05). In addition, there were significant differences among the four groups in terms of Stabilin-1 (F = 153.100, P < 0.001), Stabilin-2 (F = 57.010, P < 0.001), Ehd3 (F = 31.700, P < 0.001), CD209b (F = 177.400, P < 0.001), GATA4 (F = 17.740, P < 0.001), and Maf mRNA expression (F = 72.710, P < 0.001), and reduced mRNA expression of Stabilin-1, Stabilin-2, Ehd3, CD209b, GATA4 and Maf genes was quantified in three infection groups than in the control group (all P values < 0.001). CONCLUSIONS E. multilocularis infections may induce capillarization of LSECs in mice, and result in a reduction in the expression of functional and phenotypic marker genes of LSECs, and capillarization of LSECs occurs earlier than activation of HSC and development of hepatic fibrosis.

Carbon tax vs. carbon trading in China: which is better for promoting sustainable development of remanufacturing companies? ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE AND POLLUTION RESEARCH INTERNATIONAL 2024; 31:16710-16724. Abstract
To accelerate achieving carbon neutrality, the promotion of low-carbon development in the manufacturing industry has been facilitated by the government's implementation of policies such as carbon taxation and carbon emissions trading. These measures have been put in place to reduce carbon emissions and enhance sustainability within the manufacturing sector. Remanufacturing is an important direction for the low-carbon transformation of enterprises, and improving remanufactured product quality is crucial to the sustainability of remanufacturing enterprises. To elucidate the influence of policies aimed at reducing carbon emissions on the quality of remanufactured products, we developed a game model involving three key players: the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), the remanufacturer (IR), and retailers. This model was constructed based on the heterogeneous consumer demand for both new and remanufactured products. The study delved into the effects of various governmental policies aimed at reducing carbon emissions on the quality-related decisions made by remanufacturing enterprises. Our primary focus was on the implementation of two specific policies: a high-level carbon taxation policy and a carbon trading policy characterized by elevated carbon pricing. These policies create a favorable environment for remanufacturers (IR) to enhance the quality of their products. The sales of remanufactured products are influenced by the purchasing preferences of consumers, and carbon reduction policies can be effective in reducing the total environmental impact of manufacturing. Carbon trading policy is most conducive to environmental protection and achieves a win-win situation for economic and environmental benefits for OEMs and IRs when the carbon tax per unit is compared with the carbon trading price. Hence, this situation is favorable for the sustainable growth of existing remanufacturing businesses. Consequently, the government's requirement for subsidies to enhance the quality of remanufactured products and boost the competitiveness of IRs in the market becomes less pronounced.

Abstract
The medicinal plant Sophora tonkinensis is a characteristic Chinese shrub of karst areas. The arid climate in karst areas produces high-quality S. tonkinensis; however, the mechanisms of drought tolerance are not clear, which restricts sustainable plantings of S. tonkinensis. This study involved a 20-day drought stress experiment with potted S. tonkinensis and threee soil water regimes: control (CK), mild drought (MDT), and severe drought (SDT). Plant morphology, biomass, physiological indicators, alkaloid content, and other changes under drought stress were monitored. The content of soluble sugars and proteins, and activity of antioxidant enzymes in leaves and roots were higher under drought than CK, indicating that S. tonkinensis is tolerant to osmotic stress in early drought stages. Content of matrine and oxymatrine increased gradually with increasing drought duration in the short term. The epidermis of S. tonkinensis leaves have characteristics of desert plants, including upper epidermal waxy layer, lower epidermal villi, and relatively sunken stomata, suggesting that S. tonkinensis has strong drought tolerance. In conclusion, drought stress changed the cell structure of S. tonkinensis, induced antioxidant enzyme activity and increased its resistance to drought.

Abstract
Ticks are obligate, haematophagous arthropods that are distributed across the world, which may transmit more than 200 pathogens, including viruses, bacteria and parasites. A large number of tick species are widespread in China, and their transmitting tick-borne viral diseases pose a great threat to human health in endemic foci. This review describes the epidemiology of common, emerging and potentially pathogenic tick-borne viruses in China, and recommends the assessment of public health significance and pathogenicity of emerging tick-borne viruses using reverse microbial etiology, so as to provide insights into the management of emerging tick-borne diseases in China.

Prognostic impact of FLT3-ITD mutation on NPM1 + acute myeloid leukaemia patients and related molecular mechanisms. Br J Haematol 2023; 203:212-223. Abstract
The prognosis of acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) patients carrying NPM1 mutations is significantly worse when accompanied by FLT3-ITD mutations. However, accurate quantitative detection of FLT3-ITD mutations remains challenging. To identify a novel biomarker in NPM1+ FLT3-ITD+ AML patients for more accurate stratification, we analysed the differential gene expression between the NPM1+ FLT3-ITD+ and NPM1+ FLT3-ITD- groups in five public AML datasets and identified a biomarker by taking the intersection of differentially expressed genes. We validated this biomarker in bone marrow samples from NPM1+ AML patients at the Peking University Institute of Haematology and analysed its prognostic significance. BCAT1 expression was higher in the NPM1+ FLT3-ITD+ group than in the NPM1+ FLT3-ITD- group in all seven cohorts. BCAT1 was able to predict the prognosis of NPM1+ FLT3-ITD+ AML patients, and its predictive ability was superior to that of the FLT3-ITD allelic ratio (AR). FLT3-targeted inhibitor quizartinib reduced BCAT1 expression. BCAT1 knockdown using lentiviral vectors led to the downregulation of MYC expression. Thus, we identified BCAT1 as a novel biomarker for NPM1+ FLT3-ITD+ AML patients. The FLT3-ITD/BCAT1/MYC signalling pathway may play a biological role in promoting the occurrence and development of AML in FLT3-ITD+ cell lines.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To identify the spatial distribution pattern of Oncomelania hupensis spread in Hubei Province, so as to provide insights into precision O. hupensis snail control in the province. METHODS Data pertaining to emerging and reemerging snails were collected from Hubei Province from 2020 to 2022 to build a spatial database of O. hupensis snail spread. The spatial clustering of O. hupensis snail spread was identified using global and local spatial autocorrelation analyses, and the hot spots of snail spread were identified using kernel density estimation. In addition, the correlation between environments with snail spread and the distance from the Yangtze River was evaluated using nearest-neighbor analysis and Spearman correlation analysis. RESULTS O. hupensis snail spread mainly occurred along the Yangtze River and Jianghan Plain in Hubei Province from 2020 to 2022, with a total spread area of 4 320.63 hm2, including 1 230.77 hm2 emerging snail habitats and 3 089.87 hm2 reemerging snail habitats. Global spatial autocorrelation analysis showed spatial autocorrelation in the O. hupensis snail spread in Hubei Province in 2020 and 2021, appearing a spatial clustering pattern (Moran's I = 0.003 593 and 0.060 973, both P values < 0.05), and the mean density of spread snails showed spatial aggregation in Hubei Province in 2020 (Moran's I = 0.512 856, P < 0.05). Local spatial autocorrelation analysis showed that the high-high clustering areas of spread snails were mainly distributed in 50 settings of 10 counties (districts) in Hubei Province from 2020 to 2022, and the high-high clustering areas of the mean density of spread snails were predominantly found in 219 snail habitats in four counties of Jiangling, Honghu, Yangxin and Gong'an. Kernel density estimation showed that there were high-, secondary high- and medium-density hot spots in snail spread areas in Hubei Province from 2020 to 2022, which were distributed in Jingzhou District, Wuxue District, Honghu County and Huangzhou District, respectively. There were high- and medium-density hot spots in the mean density of spread snails, which were located in Jiangling County, Honghu County and Yangxin County, respectively. In addition, the snail spread areas negatively correlated with the distance from the Yangtze River (r = -0.108 9, P < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS There was spatial clustering of O. hupensis snail spread in Hubei Province from 2020 to 2022. The monitoring and control of O. hupensis snails require to be reinforced in the clustering areas, notably in inner embankments to prevent reemerging schistosomiasis.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the pathological classification of malignant peritoneal mesothelioma (MPeM) and screen the immunohistochemical markers that can distinguish MPeM from peritoneal metastatic carcinoma (PC) . Methods: In June 2020, the pathological results of peritoneal biopsy of 158 MPeM and 138 PC patients from Cangzhou Central Hospital, Cangzhou People's Hospital, and Cangzhou Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine from May 2011 to July 2019 were retrospectively analyzed, and the pathological classifications of MPeM in Cangzhou were summarized. Immunohistochemical markers of MPeM and PC patients were analyzed, and receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC curve) was drawn for differential diagnosis of MPeM and PC. Results: There were 55 male and 103 female MPeM patients in Cangzhou, with an average age of 57.1 years old. The asbestos exposure rate was 91.14% (144/158). The most common pathological classifications were cutaneous type, accounting for 90.51% (143/158). There were significant differences in the expression of calreticulum protein, CK5/6, vimentin, D2-40, carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and tail type homologous nuclear gene transcription factor 2 (CDX-2) between MPeM and PC (P<0.05). Among the 6 positive markers, the sensitivity of calreticulum protein was the highest (0.905) and CEA was the lowest (0.428) . Conclusion: Calreticulum protein, CK5/6, vimentin, D2-40, CEA and CDX-2 may be used as specific markers to distinguish the diagnosis of MPeM from PC.

Abstract
We present measurements of the cross section and double-helicity asymmetry A_{LL} of direct-photon production in p[over →]+p[over →] collisions at sqrt[s]=510 GeV. The measurements have been performed at midrapidity (|η|<0.25) with the PHENIX detector at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider. At relativistic energies, direct photons are dominantly produced from the initial quark-gluon hard scattering and do not interact via the strong force at leading order. Therefore, at sqrt[s]=510 GeV, where leading-order-effects dominate, these measurements provide clean and direct access to the gluon helicity in the polarized proton in the gluon-momentum-fraction range 0.02<x<0.08, with direct sensitivity to the sign of the gluon contribution.

Abstract
PURPOSE The role of computed tomography (CT) in the diagnosis of primary aldosteronism (PA) warrants attention, since the success application of adrenal venous sampling (AVS) remains limited. We aimed to investigate the value of CT-based volumetric indicators, including left-versus-right-adrenal-volume ratio (L/Rv) and left-subtract-right-adrenal-volume difference (L - Rv), in the diagnosis of unilateral primary aldosteronism (UPA). METHODS A retrospective case-control study included 153 patients with PA and 1272 controls. AVS was used to classify patients into bilateral disease, left-sided disease, and right-sided disease groups. RESULTS Adrenal gland volume on both sides of PA patients was significantly larger than controls. The optimal cutoff values of L/Rv and L - Rv were 1.417 [area under the curve (AUC) 0.864] and 1.185 (AUC 0.827), respectively, for the diagnosis of left-sided PA, and 1.030 (AUC 0.767) and 0.220 (AUC 0.769), respectively, for the diagnosis of right-sided PA. The mean AUC for subsequent cross-validation ranged from 0.77 ± 0.03 to 0.86 ± 0.02. Based on the optimal cutoff values, the combination of L/Rv and L - Rv detected 69.6% of patients with left-sided PA and 74.3% of patients with right-sided PA, with a specificity of 93.5% and 89.0%, respectively. For a better clinical application, we reported the sub-optimal cutoffs corresponding to a specificity of 95%. A L/Rv higher than 1.431 and a L - Rv higher than 3.185 as sub-optimal cutoff values was detected in 26.1% of patients with left-sided PA (specificity: 97.2%). A L/Rv smaller than 0.892 and a L - Rv smaller than -0.640 could detect 48.6% of patients with right-sided PA (specificity: 97.5%). CONCLUSIONS CT-based L/Rv and L - Rv performed well in predicting UPA. The combination of L/Rv and L - Rv may serve as a potential indicator for guiding surgical decision making in centers without AVS programs.

Abstract
This study aims to analyze the impact of government subsidy policies on the development of remanufacturing enterprises and product quality in the context of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, to promote the sustainable development of the remanufacturing industry. It establishes a comparative game model for two cases of remanufacturing enterprises respectively producing low-quality and high-quality remanufactured products. In the context of government subsidies for only high-quality remanufactured products, we investigate the effects of government subsidies on remanufactured products' forms, prices, profits, and consumer preferences. The results show that government subsidies for high-quality remanufactured products help not only reduce the quality cost of remanufactured products and lower the wholesale and retail prices but also increase consumer preference for high-quality remanufactured products, enhance the market demand for remanufactured products, and promote scale expansion of the remanufacturing industry. This study provides decision support for governments to formulate subsidy coefficients for remanufacturing enterprises, offers theoretical and methodological support for the decarbonization and scale-up of remanufacturing and reduction of environmental pollution, and has significant practical value for achieving carbon peak and carbon neutralization goals.

A Micron-Range Displacement Sensor Based on Thermo-Optically Tuned Whispering Gallery Modes in a Microcapillary Resonator. SENSORS (BASEL, SWITZERLAND) 2022; 22:8312. Abstract
A novel micron-range displacement sensor based on a whispering-gallery mode (WGM) microcapillary resonator filled with a nematic liquid crystal (LC) and a magnetic nanoparticle- coated fiber half-taper is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. In the proposed device, the tip of a fiber half-taper coated with a thin layer of magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) moves inside the LC-filled microcapillary resonator along its axis. The input end of the fiber half-taper is connected to a pump laser source and due to the thermo-optic effect within the MNPs, the fiber tip acts as point heat source increasing the temperature of the LC material in its vicinity. An increase in the LC temperature leads to a decrease in its effective refractive index, which in turn causes spectral shift of the WGM resonances monitored in the transmission spectrum of the coupling fiber. The spectral shift of the WGMs is proportional to the displacement of the MNP-coated tip with respect to the microcapillary's light coupling point. The sensor's operation is simulated considering heat transfer in the microcapillary filled with a LC material having a negative thermo-optic coefficient. The simulations are in a good agreement with the WGMs spectral shift observed experimentally. A sensitivity to displacement of 15.44 pm/µm and a response time of 260 ms were demonstrated for the proposed sensor. The device also shows good reversibility and repeatability of response. The proposed micro-displacement sensor has potential applications in micro-manufacturing, precision measurement and medical instruments.

Abstract
To analyze the impact of government carbon tax and subsidy policies on the manufac turing industry in the context of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality. This paper constructs a game model based on two government policies: a "carbon tax" policy for the original product and a "subsidy" policy for the remanufactured product, taking the original product and the remanufactured product as the objects. The policy game model is used to study the impact of carbon taxes, government subsidies, and carbon emissions on product quality, sales, and corporate profits. The results show that under the carbon tax and government subsidy policies, the price of remanufactured products will decrease, the quality will increase, sales will improve, and remanufacturers' profits will increase; these outcomes are conducive to the development of remanufacturing enterprises. Meanwhile, the price of original products will increase, quality will decrease, sales will decline, and original equipment manufacturers will have to develop and adopt low-carbon technologies to achieve sustainable development. This paper provides decision support for the formulation of government carbon emission policy, and theories and methods for the sustainable development of the manufacturing industry.

A Morphological Study of the Meniscus, Cartilage and Subchondral Bone Following Closed-Joint Traumatic Impact to the Knee. Front Bioeng Biotechnol 2022; 10:835730. Abstract
Post-traumatic osteoarthritis (PTOA) is a debilitating disease that is a result of a breakdown of knee joint tissues following traumatic impact. The interplay of how these tissues influence each other has received little attention because of complex interactions. This study was designed to correlate the degeneration of the menisci, cartilage and subchondral bone following an acute traumatic event that resulted in anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and medial meniscus tears. We used a well-defined impact injury animal model that ruptures the ACL and tears the menisci. Subsequently, the knee joints underwent ACL reconstruction and morphological analyses were performed on the menisci, cartilage and subchondral bone at 1-, 3- and 6-months following injury. The results showed that the morphological scores of the medial and lateral menisci worsened with time, as did the tibial plateau and femoral condyle articular cartilage scores. The medial meniscus was significantly correlated to the medial tibial subchondral bone at 1 month (p = 0.01), and to the medial tibial cartilage at 3 months (p = 0.04). There was only one significant correlation in the lateral hemijoint, i.e., the lateral tibial cartilage to the lateral tibial subchondral bone at 6 months (p = 0.05). These data may suggest that, following trauma, the observed medial meniscal damage should be treated acutely by means other than a full or partial meniscectomy, since that procedure may have been the primary cause of degenerative changes in the underlying cartilage and subchondral bone. In addition to potentially treating meniscal damage differently, improvements could be made in optimizing treatment of acute knee trauma.

Abstract
Purpose
This paper aims to present a longitudinal and visualising study using bibliometric approaches to depict the emerging trends and research hotspots within the mobile information system domain.
Design/methodology/approach
Publications included in the Web of Science (WoS) database for 2001–2021 are reviewed and analysed on various aspects through coauthorship, cocitation and co-occurrence analysis. The analyses are conducted using VOSViewer, a scientific visualisation software program.
Findings
Academic publications related to mobile information systems fluctuated at a low level during the initial part of the 21st century and have grown rapidly in number in the past decade. The USA and China are the leading contributors to these publications and hold dominant positions in the obtained collaboration network. Computer science, engineering and telecommunications are the top three research areas in which mainstream mobile information system research occurs. Moreover, medical informatics and health-care science services have gradually become new research hotspots.

Strain-, curvature- and twist-independent temperature sensor based on a small air core hollow core fiber structure. OPTICS EXPRESS 2021; 29:26353-26365. Abstract
Cross-sensitivity (crosstalk) to multiple parameters is a serious but common issue for most sensors and can significantly decrease the usefulness and detection accuracy of sensors. In this work, a high sensitivity temperature sensor based on a small air core (10 µm) hollow core fiber (SACHCF) structure is proposed. Co-excitation of both anti-resonant reflecting optical waveguide (ARROW) and Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI) guiding mechanisms in transmission are demonstrated. It is found that the strain sensitivity of the proposed SACHCF structure is decreased over one order of magnitude when a double phase condition (destructive condition of MZI and resonant condition of ARROW) is satisfied. In addition, due to its compact size and a symmetrical configuration, the SACHCF structure shows ultra-low sensitivity to curvature and twist. Experimentally, a high temperature sensitivity of 31.6 pm/°C, an ultra-low strain sensitivity of -0.01pm/µε, a curvature sensitivity of 18.25 pm/m-1, and a twist sensitivity of -22.55 pm/(rad/m) were demonstrated. The corresponding temperature cross sensitivities to strain, curvature and twist are calculated to be -0.00032 °C/µε, 0.58 °C/m-1 and 0.71 °C/(rad/m), respectively. The above cross sensitivities are one to two orders of magnitude lower than that of previously reported optical fiber temperature sensors. The proposed sensor shows a great potential to be used as a temperature sensor in practical applications where influence of multiple environmental parameters cannot be eliminated.

Abstract
A novel tunable whispering gallery modes (WGMs) resonator based on a nematic liquid crystal (LC)-filled capillary and magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs)-coated tapered fiber has been proposed and experimentally demonstrated. Thermo-optic tuning of the WGM resonances has been demonstrated by varying optical pump laser power injected into the MNPs-coated fiber half-taper inside the capillary. The tuning mechanism relies on the change of the effective refractive index (RI) of the nematic LC, caused by the photo-thermal effect of MNPs on the surface of the fiber half-taper inducing a temperature change inside the capillary. Tuning of the WGM resonances with sensitivities of 101.5 ± 3.5 pm/mW and 146.5 ± 3.5 pm/mW and tuning ranges of 1.96 nm and 3.28 nm respectively for the two types of liquid crystals (MLC-7012, MDA-05-2782) has been demonstrated. In addition, the relationship between the optical power of the pump laser and the local temperature of the nematic LC was investigated and the heating rate is estimated as 1.49 °C/mW. The proposed thermo-optic tuning scheme has many potential applications in tunable photonic devices and sensors.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the association between sleep duration, sleep quality and the prevalence of hypertension in the elderly aged 65 years and above. Methods: This study was conducted among the elderly in communities in Yiwu, China from April to July, 2019, and participants were recruited through physical examination in the hospital. Face-to-face interview was performed to obtain basic information. Sleep duration and sleep quality were evaluated by Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). Associations between sleep duration, sleep quality and hypertension were evaluated by multivariate logistic regression analysis. Results: A total of 3 169 elderly persons, aged ≥65 years old, were included in the study. The overall prevalence of hypertension was 50.8%. The elderly with very poor sleep quality and short sleep duration accounted for 22.4% and 28.5%, respectively. After adjusting for demographic characteristics, socioeconomic status, lifestyle and health status, the OR of hypertension for the elderly with very poor sleep quality was 1.42 (95%CI: 1.12-1.80) compared with those with very good sleep quality. Compared with the elderly with sleep duration of 6-7 h a night, the OR of hypertension for those with sleep duration <6 h was 1.37 (95%CI: 1.15-1.65). As the sleep quality decreased, the risk for hypertension increased. An U-shaped association was found between sleep duration and risk of hypertension. Subgroup analyses showed that this association existed in both men and women, but only significant in the elderly aged <75 years. Conclusion: Poor sleep quality and short sleep duration were associated with risk for hypertension in the elderly.

Chemopreventive effect of galangin against benzo(a)pyrene-induced stomach tumorigenesis through modulating aryl hydrocarbon receptor in Swiss albino mice. Hum Exp Toxicol 2021; 40:1434-1444. Abstract
The present study was aimed to evaluate the chemopreventive potential of galangin against benzo(a)pyrene (BaP)-induced stomach carcinogenesis in Swiss albino mice. Stomach cancer was induced in experimental mice using BaP oral administration. The mice were treated with galangin (10 mg/kg b.wt.) before and during BaP administration. Oral administration of galangin at a dose of 10 mg/kg b.wt. significantly (p < 0.05) prevented the tumor incidence, tumor volume in the experimental animals. Further, galangin pretreatment prevents BaP-induced lipid peroxidation and restores BaP-mediated loss of cellular antioxidants status. It has also been found that galangin prevents BaP-induced activation of phase I detoxification enzymes. Furthermore, galangin pretreatment prevented the BaP-induced overexpression of cytochrome P450s isoform genes (CYP1A1, CYP1B1), aryl hydrocarbon receptor system (AhR, ARNT), transcriptional activators (CBP/p300, NF-kB), tumor growth factors, proto-oncogenes, invasion markers (TGFB, SRC-1, MYC, iNOS, MMP2, MMP9) and Phase II metabolic isoenzyme genes (GST) in the stomach tissue homogenate when compared to the control groups. The western blot results confirm that galangin (10 mg/kg. b.wt.) treatment significantly prevented the BaP-mediated expression of ArR, ARNT, and CYP1A1 proteins in the mouse stomach tissue. Therefore, the present results confirm that galangin prevents BaP-induced stomach carcinogenesis probably through modulating ArR and ARNT expression in the experimental mice.

Abstract
Long-term intake of large amounts of ethanol leads to enterogenous endotoxemia. Reactive oxygen species, high concentrations of adenosine triphosphate and uric acid activate the pyroptosis system, which then cleaves the pore formation mechanism of gasdermin-D, leading to the death of liver cells, accompanied by the release of interleukin-1β, interleukin-18, and other inflammatory factors. This series of processes activates the immune system, mediates a cascade of inflammation, and promotes the development of alcoholic liver disease from steatosis to inflammation and fibrosis.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the relationship between the new Tumor-Node-Metastasis (TNM) staging system and the serum CA125 level with the prognosis of malignant peritoneal mesothelioma (MPeM) . Methods: The clinical data of 74 patients with MPeM diagnosed by pathology and immunohistochemistry were collected from January 2005 to June 2016 in Cangzhou Central Hospital. According to the results of CT-peritoneal carcinoma index (PCI) , the tumor load was divided into T1 (PCI 1-10) , T2 (PCI 11-20) , T3 (PCI 21-30) and T4 (PCI 31-39) , combined with lymph node metastasis and extraperitoneal metastasis, a new TNM staging system was established. And serum CA125 level was measured in the same time. The median survival time of patients with MPeM, the effect of the new TNM staging system, and serum CA125 levels on their prognosis were retrospectively analyzed. Results: Among the 74 patients with MPeM, 25 (33.8%) cases were males and 49 (66.2%) cases were females. There were 8 cases with systemic chemotherapy, 8 cases with heated intraperitoneal chemotherapy, and 1 case with combination chemotherapy. 10 cases were T1, 22 cases were T2, 27 cases were T3, 15 cases were T4, 12 cases had lymph node metastasis and 10 cases had distant metastasis. The median survival time of T1, T2, T3 and T4 were 12, 10, 6 and 3 months respectively. There were 38 (77.6%) cases with high serum CA125 in all 49 cases who have been tested for CA125. The median survival time of positive group and negative group were 6 months and 11 months respectively. 68 (91.9%) patients had died by the end of collecting data. The median survival time was 8 months. Univariate analysis showed that there were significant differences in survival time between patients with different CT-PCI stages, serum CA125 levels, and with or without lymph node and extraperitoneal metastasis (P<0.05) . Multivariate analysis showed that CT-PCI was independent risk factors for the prognosis of MPeM (HR=2.203, 95%CI: 1.475-3.289) . Conclusion: The new TNM staging system and serum CA125 are important for the prognosis of patients with MPeM. Early detection, early diagnosis and comprehensive treatment can improve the survival time of patients with MPeM.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the influencing factors of job burnout of medical staff and provide reference for the formulation of intervention measures. Methods: From November to December, 2018, a questionnaire survey was conducted among medical staff in a general hospital by using the research design of the current situation survey. A total of 1193 questionnaires were distributed and 939 questionnaires were returned, with a recovery rate of 78.7%, including 891 valid questionnaires and an effective recovery rate of 94.9%. Social support rating scale (SSRs) was used to evaluate social support, and Maslach Burnout Scale (MBI-GS) was used to evaluate job burnout. Single factor analysis was performed by chi square test and Fisher exact probability method. To explore the influencing factors of job burnout by using disordered multi classification logistic. Results: The average age was (27.47 ± 4.22) years old, female accounted for 71.5% (637/891) . The total physical examination rate of job burnout was 46.6%. The scores of emotional exhaustion, cynicism and decreased sense of achievement were (10.10±3.75) , (6.14±3.43) , (17.91±4.13) respectively. Multiple logistic regression analysis showed that, compared with the non detected job burnout, the young, working for 1-3 years, average sleep ≤6 hours, and poor social support were more likely to have mild job burnout (OR=0.91, 0.40, 2.25, 2.38, P<0.05) ; female, high night shift frequency in the past year, average sleep ≤6 h. Those with poor social support were more likely to have moderate to severe job burnout (OR=1.59, 2.94, 4.01, 2.40, 3.66, P<0.05) . Conclusion: Corresponding measures should be taken to reduce job burnout and improve work efficiency.

Abstract
The endoplasmic reticulum (ER) is a very important organelle responsible for crucial biosynthetic, sensing, and signalling functions in eukaryotic cells. In this work, we established a strategy of ligand regulation to enhance the singlet oxygen generation capacity and subcellular organelle localization ability of a rhodamine-decorated iridium(iii) complex by variation of the cyclometallating ligand. The resulting metal complex showed outstanding reactive oxygen species generation efficiency (1.6-fold higher than that of rose bengal in CH3CN) and highly specific ER localization ability, which demonstrated the promise of the metal-based photo-theranostic agent by simultaneously tuning the photochemical/physical and biological properties. Additionally, low dark cytotoxicity, high photostability and selective tumour cell uptake were featured by this complex to demonstrate it as a promising candidate in photodynamic therapy (PDT) applications. In vivo near infrared fluorescence (NIRF) imaging and tumour PDT were investigated and showed preferential accumulation at the tumour site and remarkable tumour growth suppression, respectively.

Abstract
Negative curvature hollow core fiber (NCHCF) is a promising candidate for sensing applications; however, research on NCHCF based fiber sensors starts only in the recent two years. In this work, an all-fiber interferometer based on an NCHCF structure is proposed for the first time. The interferometer was fabricated by simple fusion splicing of a short section of an NCHCF between two singlemode fibers (SMFs). Both simulation and experimental results show that multiple modes and modal interferences are excited within the NCHCF structure. Periodic transmission dips with high spectral extinction ratio (up to 30 dB) and wide free spectral range (FSR) are produced, which is mainly introduced by the modes coupling between HE11 and HE12. A small portion of light guiding by means of Anti-resonant reflecting optical waveguide (ARROW) mechanism is also observed. The transmission dips, resulting from multimode interferences (MMI) and ARROW effect have a big difference in sensitivities to strain and temperature, thus making it possible to monitor these two parameters with a single sensor head by using a characteristic matrix approach. In addition, the proposed sensor structure is experimentally proven to have a good reproducibility.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of fibrinolysis strategy in patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) during the COVID-19 epidemic, and to provide reference value for optimization of fibrinolytic process on the premise of prevention and control of COVID-19 transmission, including self-protection of medical staff. Methods: The efficacy and safety of fibrinolysis were retrospectively analyzed in 7 patients with acute STEM, who hospitalized from February 29, 2020 to April 3, 2020 in the Department of Cardiology, Wuhan Union Hospital of Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. To optimize the fibrinolytic process on the premise of prevention and control of COVID-19 transmission, including self-protection of medical staff, a full-time medical team in charge of fibrinolysis under third-grade protection was established. The acute STEMI patients were treated immediately in a fixed and isolated area in emergency department before receiving green channel fibrinolysis. Blood samples for complete blood count, COVID-19 antibody test and nasopharyngeal swab samples for COVID-19 nucleic acid test were made before fibrinolysis, while the chest CT examination was accomplished after fibrinolysis. By comparing differences of time from the first electrocardiogram (ECG) to fibrinolysis before and after the improvement of fibrinolytic process, the effect of optimization of the fibrinolytic process was evaluated. Results: In the present study, seven patients with acute STEMI received fibrinolysis therapy, 6 of them achieved reperfusion and no bleeding was observed in all of the patients. Five out of the 7 patients were hospitalized after fibrinolysis, and the hospitalization days were 19.6 days on average. By following up to April 14, 2020, none of the 7 patients died. The first 2 patients were treated according to the routine medical procedure and the time from the first ECG to fibrinolysis were 201 and 106 minutes, respectively. After the optimization of the fibrinolytic process, the time from the first ECG to fibrinolysis of the last 5 patients were 42, 46, 51, 43 and 54 minutes, respectively, which was significantly shorter than that before optimization. Conclusions: During the COVID-19 epidemic, fibrinolysis in patients with acute STEMI is safe, effective and easy to implement. Therefore, it is recommended as the top priority for the patients with acute STEMI with indications for fibrinolysis. On the premise of prevention and control of COVID-19 transmission, including self-protection of medical staff, the duration of myocardial ischemia can be shortened by optimization of the fibrinolytic process.

Abstract
Background:Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease Activity Score (ASDAS) is adopted to evaluate the degree of disease activity and the inflammatory response in AS patients. ASDAS score <= 1.3 represents inactive disease status and achievement of T2T. SSDM is a mobile application for disease management. Objectives:To evaluate the patterns of T2T and related influential factors among AS patients after applying SSDM in the real world. Methods:AS Patients were trained to master SSDM by healthcare professionals (HCPs) and to conduct ASDAS self-assessments. Patients were also required for repeating self-assessments after leaving the hospital. After entry by patients, data can be synchronized to the SSDM terminal of authorized rheumatologists. Based on these data, the patients can apply for consultation to their physicians and rheumatologists can provide medical advices to their patients. Results:From Jan 2015 to Jan 2020, 17,870 AS patients enrolled in SSDM with the mean age of 34.62±10.98 years old and the median disease duration of 3.58 years. Among them, 1,127 AS patients from 150 hospitals were followed up for more than 6 months through SSDM. The results at baseline and in final follow up were summarized in Table 1.Table 1.The T2T results at baseline and in final follow up.Baseline\Final follow-upn%x <= 1.3%1.3 < x <= 2.1%2.1 < x <= 3.5%3.5 < x%x <= 1.331527.95%20665.40%7423.49%268.25%92.86%1.3 < x <= 2.134030.17%13840.59%11433.53%7522.06%133.82%2.1 < x <= 3.536332.21%9526.17%10629.20%13336.64%297.99%3.5 < x1099.67%2422.02%2522.94%4238.53%1816.51%Total1,127100%46341.08%31928.31%27624.49%696.12%The rate of T2T achievers were 27.95% (315/1,127) at baseline, and improved significantly to 41.08% (463/1,127) after 6 months follow up, p<0.01. Among T2T achievers at baseline, 65.40% (206/315) maintained T2T, 34.60% (109/315) relapsed. Of patients who didn’t achieve T2T at baseline, only 31.65% (257/812) achieved T2T after 6 months follow up.The impact of the online interaction between patients and physicians and the frequency of self-assessment for ASDAS on T2T has been analyzed. Compared with 544 patients who didn’t interact online with their physicians and self-assessed less than 3times, 104 patients with online interaction and monthly assessments achieved significant higher improvement rate of T2T (9.19% vs 23.08%, p<0.01). The more frequent of the self-assessments being performed by patients, the higher improvement of T2T rate will be. The improvement of T2T rate(y) was positively correlated with times of self-assessment for ASDAS(x) independently. The regression equation as “y = 0.0304x + 0.0521”, r = 0.9107, p<0.01 (Figure 1).Figure 1.Conclusion:Significant improvement was observed under applying SSDM through empowering AS patients. After proactive disease management via SSDM for more than 6 months, patients with ASDAS<=1.3 score at baseline had a significantly higher retention rate of inactive disease activity. The patients who performed more frequent self-assessments had lower probability of relapse and higher rate of T2T. Online interaction between patients and physicians contributed to promote the improvement rate of T2T. SSDM is a valuable tool for long term follow-up through empowering patients.Acknowledgments:SSDM was developed by Shanghai Gothic Internet Technology Co., Ltd.Disclosure of Interests:None declared

Abstract
Craniofacial muscle pain is highly prevalent in temporomandibular disorders but is difficult to treat. Enhanced understanding of neurobiology unique to craniofacial muscle pain should lead to the development of novel mechanism-based treatments. Herein, we review recent studies to summarize neural pathways of craniofacial muscle pain. Nociceptive afferents in craniofacial muscles are predominantly peptidergic afferents enriched with TRPV1. Signals from peripheral glutamate receptors converge onto TRPV1, leading to mechanical hyperalgesia. Further studies are needed to clarify whether hyperalgesic priming in nonpeptidergic afferents or repeated acid injections also affect craniofacial muscle pain. Within trigeminal ganglia, afferents innervating craniofacial muscles interact with surrounding satellite glia, which enhances the sensitivity of the inflamed neurons as well as nearby uninjured afferents, resulting in hyperalgesia and ectopic pain originating from adjacent orofacial tissues. Craniofacial muscle afferents project to a wide area within the trigeminal nucleus complex, and central sensitization of medullary dorsal horn neurons is a critical factor in muscle hyperalgesia related to ectopic pain and emotional stress. Second-order neurons project rostrally to pathways associated with affective pain, such as parabrachial nucleus and medial thalamic nucleus, as well as sensory-discriminative pain, such as ventral posteromedial thalamic nuclei. Abnormal endogenous pain modulation can also contribute to chronic muscle pain. Descending serotonergic circuits from the rostral ventromedial medulla facilitate activation of second-order neurons in the trigeminal nucleus complex, which leads to the maintenance of mechanical hyperalgesia of inflamed masseter muscle. Patients with temporomandibular disorders exhibit altered brain networks in widespread cortical and subcortical regions. Recent development of methods for neural circuit manipulation allows silencing of specific hyperactive neural circuits. Chemogenetic silencing of TRPV1-expressing afferents or rostral ventromedial medulla neurons attenuates hyperalgesia during masseter inflammation. It is likely, therefore, that further delineation of neural circuits mediating craniofacial muscle hyperalgesia potentially enhances treatment of chronic muscle pain conditions.
