Abstract
Objective: To systematically review the care experience of caregivers of burn children, so as to provide references for guiding the continuing care in hospitals, communities, and homes. Methods: Databases including Cochrane Library, PubMed, ScienceDirect, ProQuest, Web of Science, and CINAHL were retrieved with the search terms of " burn" , " care/caregivers/nursing/father/mother/relatives" , " needs/perceptions/exceptions/attitudes/feelings/demands/experiences" , " qualitative research" , and the Chinese Journals Full-text Database, China Biology Medicine disc, VIP Database, and Wanfang Data were retrieved with the search terms in Chinese version of "//" , "//////" , "/////" , "" to search the qualitative researches on care experience of caregivers of burn children published from the establishment of the databases to November 2019. After screening and extracting the data, the quality evaluation criteria for qualitative research of the Australian Joanna Briggs Institute Evidence-Based Health Care Center and its integrative/aggregative synthesis method were used to assess the quality of the included literature and meta-integrate the research results respectively. Results: A total of 16 studies and 269 caregivers were enrolled. The quality of one included literature was grade A, and the quality of 15 included literature was grade B. A total of 65 research results were extracted with totally 6 categories formed after summarization, and 2 integrated results obtained as follows: (1) The caregivers experienced heavy psychological pressure and burden in the care process, which had a significant impact on family, social relations, and daily life. (2) With the care time lapsing, through the support of all sectors of society and self-adjustment, the caregivers gradually accepted the reality and actively took various countermeasures, but they still faced many challenges in disease care. Conclusions: The caregivers of burn children have many physical and mental health problems and face many care challenges. The government, medical and health institutions, and society should give a great attention to these issues, improve the social support system and security system, reduce the family-related pressure of burn children's families, and improve the quality of family life.

There were 92 males and 51 females with age of (64±11) years (range: 53 to 72 years). Bismuth type: type I, 38 cases (26.6%), type Ⅱ, 19 cases (13.3%), type Ⅲa, 15 cases (10.5%), type Ⅲb, 28 cases (19.6%) and type Ⅳ, 43 cases (30.0%). The patients within the first 10 operation cases in each operation time (the first 10 patients in each operation team) were divided into group A (77 cases), and the patients after 10 cases in each operation time were classified as group B (66 cases); the cases with more than 10 cases in the center were further divided into group A(1) (116 cases), and the center with less than 10 cases was set as group A(2) (27 cases). T test or Wilcoxon test was used to compare the measurement data between groups, and the chi square test or Fisher exact probability method was used to compare the counting data between groups. Kaplan Meier curve was used for survival analysis. Results: All patients successfully completed laparoscopic procedure. The mean operation time was (421.3±153.4) minutes (range: 159 to 770 minutes), and the intraoperative blood loss was 100 to 1 500 ml (median was 300 ml) .Recent post-operative complications contained bile leakage, abdominal bleeding, abdominal infection, gastrointestinal bleeding, and delay gastric emptying, pulmonary infection, liver failure, et al.The post-operative hospital stay was (15.9±9.2) days. The operation time in group B was relatively reduced ( (429.5±190.7)minutes vs. (492.3±173.1)minutes, t=2.063, P=0.041) and the blood loss (465 ml vs. 200 ml) was also reduced (Z=2.021, P=0.043) than that in group B. The incidence of postoperative biliary fistula and lung infection in patients in group A was significantly higher than that in group B (χ(2)=4.341, 0.007; P=0.037, 0.047) .Compared with group A(2), the operation time in group A(1) was relatively reduced( (416.3±176.5)minutes vs. (498.1±190.4)minutes, t=2.136, P=0.034) , the incidence of bile leakage and abdominal cavity infection in group A(1) was lower than that in group A(2) (χ(2)=7.537, 3.162; P=0.006, 0.046) . Kaplan Meier survival curve showed that the difference of short-term survival time between group A and group B was statistically significant (P<0.05) . Conclusions: The completion of laparoscopic hilar cholangiocarcinoma radical surgery is based on improved surgical skills, and proficiency in standardized operation procedures. It is feasible for laparoscopic radical resection of hilar cholangiocarcinoma to well experienced surgeon with cases be strictly screened, but it is not recommended for widespread promotion at this exploratory stage.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the causes of death in patients with severe COVID-19. Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed on 64 patients with severe COVID-19 admitted to Wuhan Pulmonary Hospital from January 12, 2020 to February 28, 2020. There were 36 males and 28 females, aging from 44 to 85 years[median 68 (62, 72)]. Fifty-two patients (81%) had underlying comorbidities. The patients were divided into the death group (n=40) and the survival group (n=24) according to the treatment outcomes. In the death group, 24 were male, and 16 were female, aging from 49 to 85 years [median 69 (62, 72)], with 31 cases (78%) complicated with underlying diseases. In the survival group, there were 12 males and 12 females, aging from 44 to 82 years[median 66 (61,73)], with 21 cases (88%) with comorbidities. Clinical data of the two groups were collected and compared, including general information, laboratory examinations, imaging features and treatments. For normally distributed data, independent group t test was used; otherwise, Mann Whitney test was used to compare the variables. χ(2) test and Fisher exact test was used when analyzing categorical variables. Results: The median of creatine kinase isozyme (CK-MB) in the death group was 19.0 (17.0,23.0) U/L, which was higher than that in the survival group 16.5 (13.5,19.6) U/L. The median level of cTnI in the death group was 0.03 (0.03, 0.07) μg/L, which was significantly higher than that in the survival group (0.02, 0.03) μg/L, with a statistically significant difference between the two groups (P=0.007). The concentration of myoglobin in the death group was 79.5 (28.7, 189.0) μg/L, which was higher than 33.1 (25.7, 54.5) μg/L in the survival group. The level of D-dimer in the death group was 2.0 (0.6, 5.2) mg/L, which was higher than 0.7 (0.4, 2.0) mg/L in the survival group. The LDH level of the death group was 465.0 (337.5,606.5) U/L, which was higher than that of the survibal group, 341.0 (284.0,430.0) U/L, the difference being statistically significant (P=0.006). The concentration of alanine aminotransferase in the death group was 40.0 (30.0, 48.0) U/L, which was higher than 32.5 (24.0, 40.8) U/L in the survival group, and the difference was statistically significant (P=0.047).Abnormal ECG was found in 16 cases (62%) in the death group, which was significantly higher than that in the survival group (29%), the difference being statistically significant (P=0.024) .The main causes of death were severe pneumonia with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS, n=20), acute heart failure(n=9), atrial fibrillation(n=3) and multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS, n=3). Conclusions: ARDS caused by severe pneumonia and acute heart failure and atrial fibrillation caused by acute viral myocarditis were the main causes of death in severe COVID-19 patients. Early prevention of myocardial injury and treatment of acute viral myocarditis complicated with disease progression may provide insights into treatment and reduction of mortality in patients with severe COVID-19.

Abstract
Half-Heusler compounds usually exhibit relatively higher lattice thermal conductivity that is undesirable for thermoelectric applications. Here we demonstrate by first-principles calculations and Boltzmann transport theory that the BiBaK system is an exception, which has rather low thermal conductivity as evidenced by very small phonon group velocity and relaxation time. Detailed analysis indicates that the heavy Bi and Ba atoms form a cage-like structure, inside which the light K atom rattles with larger atomic displacement parameters. In combination with its good electronic transport properties, the BiBaK shows a maximum n-typeZTvalue of 1.9 at 900 K, which outperforms most half-Heusler thermoelectric materials.

Abstract
Objective The tests of three types of auditory evoked potentials (AEPs) were performed on normal young adults, to understand the frequency characteristics of different testing methods and the relationship between response threshold and pure tone audiometry threshold of different methods, and to discuss the forensic value of 3 types of AEPs to evaluate hearing function. Methods Twenty normal young adults were selected, their standard pure tone audiometry threshold, short-term pure tone audiometry threshold and the response threshold of 3 types of AEPs (tone burst-auditory brainstem response, 40 Hz auditory event-related potential and slow vertex response) at 0.5 kHz, 1.0 kHz, 2.0 kHz and 4.0 kHz were recorded. The relationship between the response threshold and standard pure tone audiometry threshold, short-term pure tone audiometry threshold of 3 types of AEPs at different frequencies as well as the differences between different types of AEPs were analyzed. Results The short-term pure tone audiometry threshold was higher than the standard pure tone audiometry threshold at each frequency. The response threshold and standard pure tone audiometry threshold of the 3 types of AEPs all had a certain correlation, and the response threshold of the 3 types of AEPs was higher than short-term pure tone audiometry threshold and standard pure tone audiometry threshold at each frequency. The differences in the differences between the response threshold and standard pure tone audiometry threshold of the 3 types of AEPs at different frequencies had statistical significance. Linear regression mathematical models were established to infer the standard pure tone audiometry threshold (hearing level) from response threshold (sound pressure level) of 3 types of AEPs of normal young adults. Conclusion When using response threshold of different types of AEPs to estimate pure tone audiometry threshold, conversion and correction are needed. Combined use of different types of AEPs could improve the accuracy of hearing function evaluation.

Abstract
Objective: To discuss the characteristics of symptoms improvement based on the follow-up evaluation of Eustachian tube balloon dilation medium to long-term efficacy in patients with symptomatic Eustachian tube dysfunction (SETD). Methods: Patients from 2015 to 2017 were followed up after Eustachian tube balloon dilation (with the sense of aural fullness, or tinnitus and hearing ambiguity). All participants had been done ETDQ-7 before surgery and were re-evaluated with ETDQ-7 in follow-up. The improvement of overall and individual symptoms scores in ETDQ-7, the effects of gender and the difference of scores at different stages (12-18 months, 18-24 months and 24-30 months) after the operation were analyzed. Results: There were 29 patients, including 16 males and 13 females, whose age ranged from 20 to 62 years old. The medium to long-term score of ETDQ-7 significantly declined after surgery (27.0±7.9 vs. 14.1±7.5, P<0.05). Among all symptoms, symptoms like "blockage feeling in ear or being like under the water, constriction feeling" , "sound of blisters or explosions in the ear" decreased obviously (P<0.05). Comparing different stages after surgery, the scores of ETDQ-7 existed no difference (P>0.05). And the difference of gender showed no significant influence on surgery effects. Conclusion: The subjective symptoms of patients with Eustachian tube dysfunction diagnosed with SETD can be significantly improved in the medium to long-term follow-up after Eustachian tube balloon dilation, and the degree of improvement is not linearly related to the postoperative time.

Abstract
Glioblastoma (GBM) is the most common type of primary central nervous system tumor in adults, which has high mortality and morbidity rates, and short survival time, namely <15 months after the diagnosis and application of standard therapy, which includes surgery, radiation therapy and chemotherapy; thus, novel therapeutic strategies are imperative. The activation of the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway plays an important role in GBM. In the present study, U87 and U251 GBM cells were treated with the PI3K/mTORC1/2 inhibitor PQR309, and its effect on glioma cells was investigated. Cell Counting Kit-8 assay, 5-ethynyl-2′-deoxyuridine and colony formation assays revealed dose- and time-dependent cytotoxicity in glioma cells that were treated with PQR309. Flow cytometry and western blotting revealed that PQR309 can significantly induce tumor cell apoptosis and arrest the cell cycle in the G1 phase. Furthermore, the expression levels of AKT, phosphorylated (p)-AKT, Bcl-2, Bcl-xL, Bad, Bax, cyclin D1, cleaved caspase-3, MMP-9 and MMP-2 were altered. In addition, the migration and invasion of glioma cells, as detected by wound healing, migration and Transwell invasion assays, exhibited a marked suppression after treating the cells with PQR309. These results indicated that PQR309 exerts an antitumor effect by inhibiting proliferation, inducing apoptosis, inducing G1 cell cycle arrest, and inhibiting invasion and migration in human glioma cells. The present study provides evidence supportive of further development of PQR309 for adjuvant therapy of GBM.

Abstract
Objective Surgery is indicated when antibiotic treatment fails in pyogenic spondylodiscitis, which is caused by pathogens such as the Staphylococcus species. The aim of the present study was to investigate the efficacy and safety of the oblique lateral interbody fusion (OLIF) corridor approach combined with posterior pedicle screw fixation for treating pyogenic spondylodiscitis. Methods This was a retrospective case series study. A total of 11 patients with an average age of 60.7 years (range, 40–70 years; 10 males and 1 females) with lumbar pyogenic spondylodiscitis who underwent single‐stage debridement and reconstruction using the OLIF corridor combined with posterior pedicle screw fixation were recruited in our study from June 2016 to July 2017. All patients had single‐level pyogenic spondylodiscitis between T12 and L5. The baseline data, perioperative outcomes (operative time, intra‐operative blood loss, and intra‐operative complication), postoperative laboratory tests (erythrocyte sedimentation rate [ESR], C‐reactive protein [CRP], white blood count [WBC], and tissue culture results), long‐term complications (recurrence, fixation failure, and bony non‐fusion rates), and duration of antibiotic administration were reviewed. Outcomes evaluated using a variety of scales including visual analog scale (VAS) score and Oswestry disability index (ODI), were compared pre‐operatively and post‐operatively. Results The mean follow‐up period of time was 18.3 months. The average operative time and intra‐operative blood loss were 217.0 ± 91.91 min and 220.9 ± 166.10 mL, respectively. There were no intra‐operative complications, except in 1 patient who encountered somatosensory evoked potentials changes and 1 patient who had motor evoked potentials changes, both without post‐surgery neurological deficits. Causative organisms were identified in 4 patients: Staphylococcus aureus in 1 patient and Streptococcus in 3 patients. At approximately 8.8 weeks after surgery, WBC, CRP, and ESR had returned to normal levels. All patients were pain free with no recurring infection. There was no fixation failure during follow up. Solid bony fusions were observed in all cases within 6 months. At the final follow up, the mean VAS (0.6 ± 0.69) and ODI (14.4 ± 4.27) were significantly lower than those before surgery (P < 0.05). Conclusion One‐stage debridement with autogenous iliac bone graft through the OLIF corridor combined with posterior pedicle screw fixation is effective and safe for single‐level spontaneous lumbar pyogenic spondylodiscitis after antibiotic treatment fails.

Abstract
Pulsatile shear (PS) and oscillatory shear (OS) elicit distinct mechanotransduction signals that maintain endothelial homeostasis or induce endothelial dysfunction, respectively. A subset of microRNAs (miRs) in vascular endothelial cells (ECs) are differentially regulated by PS and OS, but the regulation of the miR processing and its implications in EC biology by shear stress are poorly understood. From a systematic in silico analysis for RNA binding proteins that regulate miR processing, we found that nucleolin (NCL) is a major regulator of miR processing in response to OS and essential for the maturation of miR-93 and miR-484 that target mRNAs encoding Krüppel-like factor 2 (KLF2) and endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS). Additionally, anti-miR-93 and anti-miR-484 restore KLF2 and eNOS expression and NO bioavailability in ECs under OS. Analysis of posttranslational modifications of NCL identified that serine 328 (S328) phosphorylation by AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) was a major PS-activated event. AMPK phosphorylation of NCL sequesters it in the nucleus, thereby inhibiting miR-93 and miR-484 processing and their subsequent targeting of KLF2 and eNOS mRNA. Elevated levels of miR-93 and miR-484 were found in sera collected from individuals afflicted with coronary artery disease in two cohorts. These findings provide translational relevance of the AMPK-NCL-miR-93/miR-484 axis in miRNA processing in EC health and coronary artery disease.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the mechanism of androgen in improving erectile dysfunction in castrated rats. Methods: Forty 8-week-old male Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats were randomly divided into 4 groups:normal control group (Group A); castration group (Group B, in which rats were castrated); intervention groups (group C and D), in which rats were treated with different concentrations of testosterone undecanoate orally every day at 10 mg/kg (low dose) and 20 mg/kg (high dose), respectively after being castrated. Animals in group A and B were given 0.9% NS instead. After 8-week treatment, the level of serum testosterone, intra cavernous pressure (ICP) and mean arterial pressure (MAP) were detected, and the expression of androgen receptor (AR)and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) were detected in the penis by Immunohistochemistry and Western blot. Results: The level of serum testosterone was significantly lower in group B [(1.3±0.6) nmol/L] than in group A [(17.1±1.5) nmol/L] (P<0.05).After testosterone supplementation, serum testosterone levels in group C [(8.7±1.2) nmol/L] and group D [(15.5±1.6) nmol/L] were higher than that in group B (all P<0.05). Max ICP/MAP of group C and D were higher than that in group B (all P<0.05). Immunohistochemistry and Western blot showed that the expression levels of AR and VEGF in group B were significantly lower than those in group A, C and D, and group D > group C (all P<0.05). Conclusion: Androgen replacement therapy with testosterone undecanoate can improve the erectile function of castrated rats by protecting the integrity of endothelial cells through AR/VEGF pathway.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the expression of microRNA-133b (miR-133b) in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), and explore its effect and the underlying molecular mechanisms on cell proliferation and invasion. Methods: Real-time quantitative PCR (qPCR) was used to examine miR-133b expression in 63 ESCC tissues and paired adjacent non-cancerous tissues, several ESCC cells (Eca109, EC9706, EC1, TE1, KYSE70) and normal esophageal epithelial cell Het-1A. MiR-133b mimic, inhibitor and negative control (NC) were transfected into TE1 cells. The effect of miR-133b on cell proliferation and invasion were determined by CCK-8 and Transwell assays, respectively. Subsequently, the target gene of miR-133b was predicted by online tools TargetScan and miRDB, which was verified by dual luciferase reporter assays. Finally, Western blot was utilized to detect the effects of miR-133b overexpression on expression of target gene TAGLN2 as well as EMT-related proteins E-cadherin, N-cadherin, Snail, Slug and Vimentin. Results: Relative levels of miR-133b in ESCC tissues (0.295±0.040) were significantly lower than those in adjacent non-cancerous tissues (1.002±0.011, P<0.001). The expression of miR-133b was tightly associated with clinical staging, lymph node metastasis and prognosis. Moreover, relative levels of miR-133b in ESCC cells Eca109, EC9706, EC1, TE1 and KYSE70 (0.679±0.031, 0.391±0.008, 0.236±0.016, 0.031±0.005 and 0.099±0.020) were evidently lower than that in normal esophageal epithelial cell Het-1A (1.005±0.016, all P<0.001). In TE1 cells, miR-133b mimic significantly increased the level of miR-133b to 6.199±0.627, and suppressed cell proliferation and invasion, whereas miR-133b inhibitor obviously decreased its expression to 0.182±0.023, and promoted cell proliferation and invasion. Most notably, the relative luciferase activities of miR-133b-mimic group (0.320±0.018) in TE1 cells transfected with TAGLN-3'UTR-WT were markedly lower than that in NC group (1.010±0.036, P<0.001), whereas those in TAGLN-3'UTR-MUT transfection cells were 1.019±0.056 and 1.008±0.021, respectively, showing no significantly statistical difference (P>0.05). Furthermore, miR-133b overexpression markedly downregulated TAGLN2, N-cadherin, Snail, Slug and Vimentin levels, and increased E-cadherin expression. Conclusion: MiR-133b plays an important role in the proliferation and invasion of ESCC cells by regulating TAGLN2 expression, and it may be a potential therapeutic target for ESCC patients.

Abstract
The cattle tick, Rhipicephalus microplus (formerly Boophilus microplus), is the most important blood-feeding ectoparasite of cattle in tropical and subtropical regions of the world. In this study, we examined sequence variability in three mitochondrial (mt) DNA (cox1, nad1, nad4) among cattle tick R. microplus originating from four provinces of China. A portion of cox1 (pcox1), nad1 (pnad1) and nad4 (pnad4) genes were amplified by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) separately from adult R. microplus individuals and the amplicons were subjected to sequence from both directions. The sequence of mt cox1, nad1, nad4 genes was 817 bp, 350 bp, and 794 bp in size, respectively. The intraspecific sequence variations within R. microplus were 0-8.6% for cox1, 0-4.9% for nad1 and 0-10.3% for nad4. However, the interspecific sequence differences among the members of the Rhipicephalus [R. sanguineus (JX416325) and R. turanicus (NC035946)] were significantly higher, being 16.9-20.5%, 18- 22.8%, 22.8-25.3% for pcox1, pnad1 and pnad4, respectively. In addition, genetic differences were 7.9-8.6% for cox1, 4.3-4.9% for nad1 and 10-10.3% for nad4 between the two detected lineages (R. microplus clade A and clade B). Phylogenetic analyses indicated that all the Rhipicephalus isolates from the present study represents R. microplus, supporting that R. microplus represents species complex. Our result provided an additional genetic evidence for the existence of species complex within R. microplus in China.

Abstract
In this study, we evaluated the therapeutic effects and possible mechanisms of anti-CD(5)2 treatment on interleukin-10 (IL-10) deficient mice. Anti-mouse CD(52) monoclonal antibody was administrated to C3H. IL-10(-/-)mice. The disease activity index, histological grading of colitis, serum Th1/17 related cytokines, percentage of CD(25+)Foxp3(+) T cells in colon as well as CD(25), Foxp3 gene expression were measured. Our data suggested that anti-CD(52) treatment inhibited colitis in C3H.IL-10(-/-)mice and it might be related to the suppression of Th1/17 related inflammation and the promotion of regulatory T cell differentiation.

Abstract
Glioblastoma is the most common type of primary brain tumour in adults, and its pathogenesis is particularly complicated. Among the many possible mechanisms underlying its pathogenesis, hyperactivation of the PI3K/Akt pathway is essential to the occurrence and development of glioma through the loss of PTEN or somatic activating mutations in PIK3CA. In the present study, we investigated the effect of the PI3Kβ inhibitor AZD6482 on glioma cells. The CCK-8 assay showed dose-dependent cytotoxicity in glioma cell lines treated with AZD6482. Additionally, AZD6482 treatment was found to significantly induce apoptosis and cell cycle arrest as detected using flow cytometry. Moreover, as shown using western blot analysis, the levels of p-AKT, p-GSK-3β, Bcl-2, and cyclin D1 were decreased after AZD6482 treatment. In addition, we found that AZD6482 inhibited the migration and invasion of glioma cells as detected by wound healing and Transwell invasion assays. Taken together, our findings indicate that AZD6482 exerts an antitumour effect by inhibiting proliferation and inducing apoptosis in human glioma cells. AZD6482 may be applied as an adjuvant therapy to improve the therapeutic efficacy of glioblastoma treatment.

Abstract
Objective:Pharyngeal stenosis as a postoperative complication following pharyngeal surgery (tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy) with coblation is rare and may be difficult to treat. This report is to explore the causes of pharyngeal stenosis and presents our successful treatment experience. Method:From Jan 2012 to July 2016, 5 children with pharyngeal stenosis (2 nasopharyngeal stenosis and 3 nasopharyngeal stenosis combined with oropharyngeal stenosis) secondary to pharyngeal surgery (tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy) in Peking Union Medical College Hospital were analyzed. Five cases with severe nasopharyngeal stenosis received surgery of scar resection, horizontal-to-vertical pharyngoplasty and local pharyngeal flap rotation; and three of them received free skin transplantation. After stenosis repair surgery, prolonged nasopharyngeal hollow stents were used for more than 6 months. To evaluate the therapeutic effect, pharyngeal cavities and symptoms of difficulty nasal breathing, mouth breathing, difficulty in blowing nose, hyponasal speech, snoring, restless sleep, anosmia, dysphagia were assessed and compared before and after surgery. Result:With 7-46 months follow-up, all symptoms of the 5 cases are ameliorated and the diameters of nasopharyx are more than 1.5 cm. No velopharyngeal insufficiency complication happened. Conclusion:Improper operation with coblation can cause severe pharyngeal stenosis. Flap rotation, horizontal-to-vertical pharyngoplasty and prolonged use nasopharyngeal hollow stents are reliable methods to correct pharyngeal stenosis following children's pharyngeal surgery.

Abstract
Recent experimental strategies to reduce graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) have focused largely on modifying innate immunity. Toll-like receptor (TLR)-driven myeloid differentiation primary response 88 (MyD88)-dependent signalling pathways that initiate adaptive immune function are also critical for the pathogenesis of GVHD. This study aimed to delineate the role of host MyD88 in the development of acute GVHD following fully major histocompatibility complex-mismatched allogeneic bone marrow transplantation (BMT). When myeloablated BALB/c MyD88 knock-out recipients were transplanted with C57BL/6 (B6) donor cells, they developed significantly more severe GVHD than wild-type (WT) BALB/c hosts. The increased morbidity and mortality in MyD88-/- mice correlated with increased serum levels of lipopolysaccharide and elevated inflammatory cytokines in GVHD target organs. Additionally, MyD88 deficiency in BMT recipients led to increased donor T cell expansion and more donor CD11c+ cell intestinal infiltration with apoptotic cells but reduced proliferation of intestinal epithelial cells compared with that in WT BMT recipients. Decreased expression of tight junction mRNA in epithelial cells of MyD88-/- mice suggested that MyD88 contributes to intestinal integrity. Cox-2 expression in the GVHD-targeted organs of WT mice is increased upon GVHD induction, but this enhanced expression was obviously inhibited by MyD88 deficiency. The present findings demonstrate an unexpected role for host MyD88 in preventing GVHD after allogeneic BMT.

Abstract
Microalgae have emerged as promising biosorbents for the treatment of malachite green (MG) in wastewater. However, the underlying mechanism for the biosorption of MG onto microalgae is still unclear and needs further intensive study. In this work, synchrotron Fourier-transform infrared (s-FTIR) microspectroscopy in combination with biochemical assay is employed to evaluate MG removal efficiency (95·2%, 75·6% and 66·5%) by three stages of Haematococcus pluvialis. Meanwhile, the various vital changes of algal cells including lipids, proteins, polysaccharides and carotenoids is distinguished and quantified in situ. This study illustrates that s-FTIR microspectroscopy is an effective and powerful tool to scrutinize the mechanism for the interactions between the MG dye and microalgal cells, and it even provides an effective and noninvasive new approach to screen potentially proper biosorbents for the removal of dyes from wastewater. SIGNIFICANCE AND IMPACT OF THE STUDY Microalgae have potential application for their ability to absorb dyes from industrial wastewater. In this study, we initiated the application of synchrotron Fourier-transform infrared (s-FTIR) microspectroscopy to investigate malachite green dye removal efficiency by three stages of Haematococcus pluvialis, demonstrating that s-FTIR is a very powerful tool in exploring the mechanism of the biosorption of dyes onto microalgae.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the effect of hyperuricemia on prognosis in patients with heart failure of coronary heart disease (CHD) after revascularization. Methods: A single-center retrospective study of all subjects who underwent percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) or coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) as revascularization for CHD at Beijing Anzhen Hospital, Capital Medical University, between January 2005 and December 2014 was performed.Patients were divided into two groups by with or without hyperuricemia. The average follow-up was 1 818 d. Results: The Logistic regression analysis revealed that hyperuricemia was independent risk factors of readmission of heart failure(P=0.018, OR=1.499, 95%CI 1.071-2.098). The Cox regression analysis revealed that hyperuricemia was independent risk factor of all-cause mortality(P=0.002, RR=1.520, 95%CI 1.166-1.982), cardiovascular (CV) mortality(P=0.001, RR=1.811, 95%CI 1.279-2.566), heart failure mortality(P=0.006, RR=2.151, 95%CI 1.247-3.711). Conclusions: There is negative correlation between level of uric acid and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF). The patients with heart failure of coronary heart disease complicated with hyperuricemia have high risk of readmission of heart failure, all-cause mortality, CV mortality andheart failure mortality than patients with normal uric acid level. Hyperuricemia is an independent risk factor for patients with heart failure of coronary heart disease after revascularization.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To explore an electrode suitable for wireless portable sleep monitoring equipment and analyze the result of the signals of electrooculogram (EOG) and electroencephalography (EEG) collected by this kind of flexible electrodes. METHODS The flexible electrodes were prepared by microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) technology. This kind of electrodes consisted parylene, chromium, and gold. Parylene, the flexible substrate of this kind of flexible electrodes, was of biocompatibility. Between parylene and gold there was an adhesion layer of chromium, which connected parylene and gold tightly. Then the flexible electrodes were stuck to medical adhesive tape. The electrodes were designed and made into a grid to make sure that the medical adhesive tape could tape on the skin tightly, so that the contact impedance between the electrodes and the skin would be reduced. Then the alternating current impedance of the electrode were tested by the CHI660E electrochemical workstation after the electrode was achieved. To make sure that this kind of electrodes could be used in EOG monitoring, the electrodes were connected to a wireless signal acquisition suite containing special biological signal acquisition and digital processing chip to gather different sites around the eyes and the electrical signals of different directions of the eye movements, then analyzed the signal-to-noise ratio of the EOG. At the end, the Philips A6 polysomnography was used to compare the noise amplitude of the EEG signals collected by the flexible electrode and the gold cup electrode. RESULTS The electrodes stuck to the skin tightly, and these electrodes could collect signals that we wanted while the experiment was performed. The alternating current impedance of the flexible electrode was between 4 kΩ and 13 kΩ while with the frequency of alternating current under 100 Hz, most EEG signal frequencies were at this range. The EOG signals collected by the flexible electrodes were in line with the clinical requirements. The noise amplitude of EEG signals collected by the flexible electrodes was lower than that of the electrical signals collected by the gold cup electrodes. CONCLUSION The flexible electrode could be taken into consideration as an alternative electrode for monitoring EOG and EEG signals, and the wireless portable sleep monitoring devices are to be further developed in the future.

Abstract
Homogeneous (Cu, Ni)6Sn5 intermetallic compound (IMC) joints were rapidly formed in asymmetrical Ni/Sn/Cu system by an ultrasound-induced transient liquid phase (TLP) soldering process. In the traditional TLP soldering process, the intermetallic joints formed in Ni/Sn/Cu system consisted of major (Cu, Ni)6Sn5 and minor Cu3Sn IMCs, and the grain morphology of (Cu, Ni)6Sn5 IMCs subsequently exhibited fine rounded, needlelike and coarse rounded shapes from the Ni side to the Cu side, which was highly in accordance with the Ni concentration gradient across the joints. However, in the ultrasound-induced TLP soldering process, the intermetallic joints formed in Ni/Sn/Cu system only consisted of the (Cu, Ni)6Sn5 IMCs which exhibited an uniform grain morphology of rounded shape with a remarkably narrowed Ni concentration gradient. The ultrasound-induced homogeneous intermetallic joints exhibited higher shear strength (61.6 MPa) than the traditional heterogeneous intermetallic joints (49.8 MPa).

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the epidemiological characteristics of the children aged 1-4 years without timely birth dose of hepatitis B vaccine (HepB(1)) vaccination. Methods: Based on the data from 160 disease surveillance points in 31 provinces of China, two-stage cluster random sampling was used to select the target population aged 1-4 years. A standard questionnaire was used to collect the information about the birth date, gender, ethnic group, place of birth, HepB immunization history of the children selected. A blood sample (3 ml) was taken from each subject for HBsAg testing. SAS software (Version 9.4) was used in our study. We analyzed the age, gender, ethnic group, area specific distributions of the children aged 1-4 years without timely HepB(1) vaccination and the influencing factors, and the relationship between the HepB(1) vaccination time and HBsAg prevalence rate. Results: A total of 12 587 children aged 1-4 years were analyzed and the non-timely HepB(1) vaccination rate was 10.12%. The place of birth, ethnic group, urban/rural area, eastern/central/western area, age were the main influencing factor of the non-timely HepB(1) vaccination. The non-timely HepB(1) vaccination rate was higher in 3-4 years old children (11.13%) than in 1-2 years old children (8.97%), in rural area (12.05%) than in urban area (8.19%), in western area (13.41%) than in central area (9.27%) and eastern area (7.72%), in minority ethnic group (18.06%) than in Han ethnic group (8.77%) and in children born outside hospital (57.66%) than in children born in hospital (9.27%). The HBsAg prevalence rate among 1-4 years children was 0.31%. The HBsAg prevalence rate of the children with timely HepB(1) vaccination (0.25%) was lower than that of the children without timely HepB(1) vaccination (0.89%). Conclusions: In China, the HBsAg prevalence rate among 1-4 years children with HepB vaccination decreased to <0.5% and the timely HepB(1) vaccination rate reached to 90%. We should strengthen the timely HepB(1) vaccination for the children in minority ethnic groups, in western area, in rural area as well as those born outside hospitals.

Abstract
High melting point Ni3Sn4 joints for the die attachment of SiC-based high temperature power devices was successfully achieved using an ultrasound-induced transient liquid phase (TLP) bonding process within a remarkably short bonding time of 8s. The formed intermetallic joints, which are completely composed of the refined equiaxial Ni3Sn4 grains with the average diameter of 2μm, perform the average shear strength of 26.7MPa. The sonochemical effects of ultrasonic waves dominate the mechanism and kinetics of the rapid formation of Ni3Sn4 joints.

Abstract
PURPOSE To analyze the role of geniposide in the protein degradation of Txnip and to determine the impact of Txnip on geniposide-regulated GSIS in pancreatic INS-1 cells. METHODS The content of Txnip protein was measured by western blot; insulin content and glucose uptake were determined by ELISA; and knockdown of Txnip was the method of RNA interference. RESULTS Glucose induces a rapid increase in Txnip protein, and geniposide accelerates the degradation of Txnip via proteasome pathway in the presence of high glucose (25 mM) in INS-1 pancreatic β-cells. And MG132, a proteasomal inhibitor, potentiates glucose uptake, metabolism (ATP production) and glucose-stimulated insulin secretion (GSIS) in high-glucose (25 mM)-treated INS-1 cells, but geniposide significantly prevents these effects. Furthermore, the combination of geniposide and Txnip knockdown shows substantial synergistic effects to reduce glucose uptake, metabolism and GSIS in high-glucose (25 mM)-treated INS-1 cells. CONCLUSIONS Txnip protein played an essential role in glucose uptake, metabolism and GSIS, and geniposide could accelerate the degradation via proteasome pathway in high-glucose-treated pancreatic INS-1 cells.

Abstract
Our previous work revealed that in the pancreatic β cell line, geniposide modulated ATP production and glucose-stimulated insulin secretion (GSIS) induced by the acute stimulation of high glucose concentration. However, the effects of geniposide on functional impairment and the mass of β-cells exposed to elevated levels of glucose remains unknown. In the present study, impaired GSIS and restrained proliferation were observed in the prolonged culture of insulinoma INS-1 cells with 33mM of glucose (high glucose). Our results indicate that the glucose-induced impairment of insulin release was significantly reverted by the inclusion of 1 or 10μM of geniposide. Moreover, induction of the phosphorylation of AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) was observed, which promoted the utilization of nutrient stores for energy production. AMPK phosphorylation was enhanced by an increased number of INS-1 cells, and the increased expression of AMPK downstream target heme oxygenase 1 (HO-1), under high glucose concentration. Furthermore, geniposide protected rat insulinoma cells from apoptosis in high-glucose concentrations. We have shown that these effects were associated with an increased apoptosis-related Bcl-2/BAX protein ratio. In conclusion, geniposide dose dependently improves β-cell function and increases the proliferation of β-cells exposed to prolonged hyperglycemia.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To discuss the suitability of frailty index for comprehensive geriatric assessment(FI-CGA)in the elderly in China, and evaluate the application of FI-CGA in China. METHODS A comprehensive geriatric assessment was conducted among 118 old adults receiving health examination, and frailty index was calculated. Clinical frailty scale(CFS)was also used to evaluate the frail status of the old adults. The correlation between FI-CGA value and CFS level of the old adults was analyzed. RESULTS The mean value of FI-CGA was 0.19 ± 0.07, and the average level of CFS was 3.11 ± 1.46. Women had higher mean value of FI-CGA and higher CFS level than men(FI-CGA= 0.20 ± 0.02 for women, 0.19 ± 0.07 for men; CFS =3.40 ± 0.55 for women, 3.10 ± 1.48 for men), but the differences had no significance(t=0.270, 0.452, P=0.788, 0.652). The FI-CGA value and CFS level increased with age(F=10.437, 5.651, P=0.000, 0.001); and there was a positive correlation between FI-CGA value and CFS level(r=0.615, P=0.000). CONCLUSION FI-CGA is an effective model for the quantitative evaluation of the frail status of the elderly, and can be used in the clinical practice of geriatric medicine.

Abstract
Serum biomarkers may play a reliable role in predicting the outcomes of patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage. This study retrospectively analyzed the relationship between serum biomarkers on admission and outcomes in patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage. We recruited 146 patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage who were treated in Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University of China between 1 May 2014 and 30 March 2016. There were 57 males and 89 females included and average age of included patients was 57.03 years old. Serum samples were taken immediately on admission (within 48 hours after initial hemorrhage) and the levels of serum biomarkers were detected. Baseline information, complications, and outcomes at 6 months were recorded. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were used to explore the relationship between biomarkers and clinical outcomes. Receiver operating characteristic curves were obtained to investigate the possibility of the biomarkers predicting prognosis. Of the 146 patients, 102 patients achieved good outcomes and 44 patients had poor outcomes. Univariate and multivariate analyses showed that high World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies grade, high serum D-dimer levels, and high neurological complications were significantly associated with poor outcomes. Receiver operating characteristic curves verified that D-dimer levels were associated with poor outcomes. D-dimer levels strongly correlated with neurological complications. In conclusion, we suggest that D-dimer levels are a good independent prognostic factor for poor outcomes in patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage.

Abstract
InN thin films were prepared using reactive radio frequency sputtering on (111) Si substrates under different N₂/Ar ratio. The surface morphology and optical properties of InN thin films were characterized by X-ray diffraction, atomic force microscopy, scanning electron microscope, energy dispersive spectrometer, and UV-visible-NIR spectrophotometer at room temperature. It was found that the growth rate and surface RMS roughness of InN layers all significantly decreased with the increasing of N₂ content in the sputtering gas. All the InN films were wurtzite structure with the proportion of N₂ increasing from 40% to 100% in the mixture gas. The highly c-axis orientation InN films could only be obtained in the composition ratios of N₂ higher than 90%. The atomic percentage of N is much higher than that of In at high N₂ content films, which mainly due to the chemical reaction on the surface of Si substrate. The apparent optical band gap energy is estimated at 1.83 eV. However, the InN absorption band tail is strongly influenced by the sputtering due to a change in the species of the plasma.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the injury and pathological changes of kidney in a rat model of aortic vascular calcification and to explore the expressions of fibroblast growth factor 21 (FGF21). Methods: A total of 14 Spraugue Dawley (SD) rats were randomly divided into two groups: control group and vitamin D3+ nicotine (VDN) group, with 7 rats in each group. The rats in VDN group received vitamin D3 and nicotine to induce vascular calcification. The content of serum creatinine was determined by sarcosine oxidase method.Alkaline phosphatases (ALP) activity was detected by ALP detection kit.The protein levels of FGF21 were measured by radioimmunoassay (RIA). The structure of kidney was observed by hematoxylin and eosin staining. Results: The serum concentration of creatinine in VDN group was significantly higher than control group[(34.00±4.69) vs (27.17±5.38) μmol/L, P<0.05], and the renal pathological changes in VDN group were more apparent. ALP activity in VDN group was significantly higher than that in control group[(62.59±22.62) vs (29.89±11.78) U/g, P<0.05]. Expression of FGF21 in VDN group increased obviously, compared with that in control group[(0.583±0.340) vs (0.207±0.105) ng/mg, P<0.05]. Meanwhile, the elevated levels of FGF21 were positively correlated with up-regulation of ALP in calcified kidneys (r=0.878, P<0.05). Conclusions: Flushing dose of vitamin D3 and nicotine can induce the change of pathology and function of the kidney.Meanwhile, the expression of FGF21 in kidney up-regulated significantly, suggesting that FGF21 may be involved in the occurrence and development of vascular calcification and subsequent kidney injury.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the value of single-source dual-energy CT (ssDECT) in differentiating lipid-poor adenomas from metastases in adrenal glands. Methods: From August 2011 to Oct 2014, 63 patients with 73 adrenal nodules (53 metastases proven by 5-6 months follow-up, and 20 histopathologically proven adenomas, CT value > 10 HU) underwent ssDECT scanning. The CT values of conventional polychromatic CT and virtual monochromatic images (40-140 keV) , fat-water density images and effective atomic number (eff-Z) were reconstructed on an ADW4.5 workstation and ROC curves were then constructed to evaluate the effectiveness of each parameter. The slope of spectral curve was measured and divided into 3 types: increment curve (K>0.1), straight curve (-0.1≤K≤0.1) and decrement curve (K< -0.1) according to the slope (the value of K) of spectral curve, and the curve patterns in the two groups were compared statistically. Results: There was no statistical difference between the mean CT values of metastases (35.12±5.29)HU and lipid-poor adenomas (32.48±6.94)HU by conventional polychromatic CT (P>0.05). The range of single-energy CT values of metastases [from (53.00±15.12) HU to (33.38±5.67) HU] was significantly higher than that of lipid-poor adenomas [from (26.90±26.94) HU to (28.77±10.66) HU] at energy levels ranging from 40 to 80 keV (P<0.05). There was no significant difference between the single-energy CT value of metastases and lipid-poor adenomas at energy levels ranging from 90 to 140 keV (P>0.05). The median fat-water concentration of metastases was -164.61 μg/cm3, significantly lower than that of lipid-poor adenomas (114.32 μg/cm3,P<0.05). The eff-Z of metastases (7.76±0.15) was also significantly higher than that of lipid-poor adenomas (7.50±0.25, P<0.05). When the threshold of fat-water concentration was -143.89 μg/cm3, the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy rate of metastasis diagnosis was 70.0%, 66.0%, and 76.7%, respectively. When the threshold of eff-Z was 7.63, the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy rate of metastasis diagnosis was 83.0%, 65.0%, and 80.4%, respectively. The lower the energy, the higher the diagnostic accuracy at energy levels ranging from 40 to 80 keV, and that of 40 keV was the highest. The spectral curves of metastases included 2 (3.8%) ascending curves, 9 (17.0%) straight curves and 42 (79.2%) descending curves, while in the 20 lipid-poor adenomas, there were 9 (45.0%) ascending curves, 4 (20.0%) straight curves and 7 (35.0%) descending curves, showing significant differences between the two groups (P<0.05). Conclusions: Single-source dual-energy CT provides an effective multi-parameter approach for differentiating lipid-poor adrenal adenomas from metastases.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the expression of RhoA/Rho-kinase (ROCK) in penile corpus cavernosum smooth muscles in rats of hyperlipidemia-induced erectile dysfunction and its molecular mechanism. METHODS Forty male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into control and experimental groups using a random number table. Rats in the control group (n=20) were fed with regular diet for 24 weeks and those in the experimental group (n=20) with high-fat diet for the same period of time. The serum lipids profile was detected before and after the diet treatment. The ratio of intracavernosal pressure (ΔICP)/mean arterial pressure (MAP) was measured, and Western blot was used to detect the expression of total RhoA, ROCK1, and ROCK2 in penile corpus cavernosum smooth muscles, and RhoA protein in cell membrane and cytoplasm of smooth muscles after 24 weeks. RESULTS After 24 weeks, the levels of cholesterol, triglyceride, and low-density lipoprotein were significantly higher in the experimental group compared with those before diet treatment and the control group (all P<0.01). ΔICP/MAP in the experimental group was greatly lower than in the control group (P<0.01). The protein expression of ROCK2 in penile corpus cavernosum smooth muscles was higher in the experimental group than in the control group (0.77±0.10 vs 0.27±0.08, P<0.01) after 24 weeks, while no statistically significant differences were observed in total RhoA and ROCK 1 protein expression between the two groups (both P>0.05). RhoA expression in cytoplasm was lower in the experimental than in the control group (1.66±0.09 vs 1.79±0.15, P<0.05). The ratio of RhoA expression in menmbrane/cytoplasm was higher in the experimental than in the control group (0.33±0.09 vs 0.26±0.07, P<0.05). CONCLUSION Up-regulation of RhoA/ROCK may be involved in hyperlipidemia-induced erectile dysfunction in rats.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To summarize the otoscopy, CT and MRI features of spontaneous herniation of the temporomandibular joint(TMJ) into the external auditory canal(EAC) through the persistence Huschke's foramen(PHF). METHODS The otoscopy, CT and MRI images of three cases with the herniation of the TMJ into the EAC through the PHF were analyzed retrospectively. RESULTS Otoscopy revealed the masses located in the antero-inferior aspect of the bony EAC, and the mass displayed an alternative of forward and backward motion during opening and closing of the mouth.CT of the temporal bone showed a bony defect and a consecutive soft mass in the antero-inferior wall of the bony EAC. The margin of the bony defects were well-defined in all cases, the bone adjacent to PHF was pressed and partially wrapped around the soft mass as 'holding ball' in two cases, partly peripheral pseudo bony shell of the soft mass were showed in two cases. The soft mass in EAC appeared equal attenuated with the soft tissue of TMJ, and on enhanced CT scans showed no enhancement of the soft mass. On MRI scans, the imaging displayed a bony defect in the antero-inferior wall of the EAC with a soft mass which was formed by the capsule of the TMJ, and the mass showed iso-signal to the capsule of the TMJ on all sequences, and there was no enhancement after contrast administration. CONCLUSION The otoscopy, CT and MRI features of the spontaneous herniation of the TMJ into the EAC through the PHF is special, and the above examinations are valuable for diagnosis of the disease.

Abstract
In single-stage laryngotracheal reconstruction (ss-LTR), the endotracheal tube is used as a stent. The optimal duration of stenting is not known. The stenting period requires a stay in the intensive care unit, as the patient is intubated. Sedation and, rarely, paralysis may be required. An analysis from a prospectively collected database was performed to investigate the effect of length of stenting on the outcome of ss-LTR. The outcomes used were reintubation rate and postoperative tracheostomy rate. Patients with anterior costal graft ss-LTR were selected, as they had undergone similar procedures and have similar stenosis types and grades. In 101 patients, the duration of stenting ranged from 2 to 14 days (mean, 7 days; SD, 2.6 days). No significant correlation was found between the number of days stented and the reintubation rate or the postoperative tracheostomy rate. Patients stented for longer than 1 week were an average of 15 months younger than those stented for less than 1 week; however, the stenosis grades for the two populations were equivalent. The differences in rates of reintubation (p = .68) and postoperative tracheostomy (p = .52) in these 2 groups were not significant. For patients undergoing ss-LTR with anterior costal cartilage grafts, no correlation was found between the number of days stented (intubated) and the reintubation rate or the postoperative tracheostomy rate.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the clinical value of a new device designed by ourselves for removing the disposable circumcision device (Shang ring). METHODS There were 264 patients undergoing Shang ring circumcision from August 2013 to June 2015. A total of 7 cases were lost follow-up and were excluded. The new device was applied for removing Shang ring in 150 patients after operation in Experimental group, and that was not applied in 107 cases in Control group. Values of basic demographic data, time for removing Shang ring, pain score, scar satisfaction, surgical satisfaction and complications were recorded and compared. RESULTS Time for removing Shang ring and pain score in Experimental group and Control group was 61.8±9.9 vs 127.4±41.6 s, 4.1±1.3 vs 6.8±1.4, respectively (both P<0.05). Satisfaction of surgery, percentage of willing to recommend Shang ring surgery to others in Experiment group and Control group was 9.3±0.7 vs 7.5±1.3, and 95.3% vs 79.4%, respectively (both P<0.05). Surgical satisfaction was correlated with pain score, time of removing Shang ring and appearance of incision scar (P<0.05). CONCLUSION The new device for removing the Shang ring could remove the ring rapidly, alleviate pain and improve surgical satisfaction.
