Abstract
Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy of entecavir combined with Biejiajian pills and its influence on TCM syndrome scores during the treatment of chronic hepatitis B with hepatic fibrosis and blood stasis syndrome by prospective, randomized and controlled study. Methods: Patients with chronic hepatitis B with hepatic fibrosis and blood stasis syndrome were selected as the research subjects and randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group. Entecavir plus Biejiajian pills or entecavir plus a simulant of Biejiajian pills were given for 48 weeks. The changes in liver stiffness measurement (LSM) and TCM syndrome scores before and after treatment were compared between the two groups to analyze the correlation. The data between groups were analyzed by t-test/Wilcoxon rank sum test or χ(2) test. Pearson correlation coefficient was used to analyze the correlation between TCM syndrome scores and LSM values. Results: After 48 weeks of treatment, the LSM values of the two groups were significantly lower than those of the baseline (P < 0.001), liver fibrosis was significantly improved, and the LSM values of the treatment group were lower than those of the control group [(8.67 ± 4.60) kPa and (10.13 ± 4.43) kPa, t = -2.011, P = 0.049]. After 48 weeks of treatment, the TCM syndrome scores of the two groups were significantly reduced compared with the baseline (P < 0.001), and the clinical symptoms were significantly relieved, and the total effective rates of the improvement of the TCM syndrome scores in the two groups were 74.19% and 72.97%, respectively, but the differences between the groups were not statistically significant (χ(2) = 0.013, P = 0.910). Correlation analysis showed that there was no obvious trend between TCM syndrome scores and LSM values. There were no serious adverse reactions associated with the drug during the observation period of this study. Conclusion: Based on antiviral treatment with entecavir, regardless of whether it is combined with the Biejiajian pill, it can effectively reduce the LSM value, improve liver fibrosis, reduce TCM syndrome scores, and alleviate symptoms in patients with chronic hepatitis B with liver fibrosis and blood stasis syndrome. Compared with entecavir alone, the combined Biejia pill has greater efficacy in improving liver fibrosis and a favorable safety profile, meriting its implementation and widespread application.

Abstract
With the emergence of new tuberculosis patients, the number of patients with tuberculosis sequelae is increasing, which not only increases the medical burden of tuberculosis sequelae year by year, but also affects the health-related quality of life (HRQOL) of patients. The HRQOL of patients with tuberculosis sequelae has gradually received attention, but there are few relevant studies. Studies have shown that HRQOL is related to various factors such as post-tuberculosis lung disease, adverse reaction to anti-tuberculosis drugs, decreased physical activity, psychological barriers, low economic status and marital status. This article reviewed the current situation of HRQOL in patients with sequelae of tuberculosis and its influencing factors, in order to provide a reference for improving the quality of life of patients with sequelae of tuberculosis.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To predict the potential suitable habitat of Haemaphysalis concinna in Heilongjiang Province under different climatic scenarios. METHODS The geographic locations of ticks in Heilongjiang Province from 1980 to 2022 were captured from literature review and field ticks monitoring data from Harbin Center for Disease Control and Prevention in Heilongjiang Province, and the tick distribution sites with spatial correlations were removed using the software ArcGIS 10.2. The environment data under historical climatic scenarios from 1970 to 2000 and the climatic shared socioeconomic pathways (SSP) 126 scenario model from 2021 to 2040 and from 2041 to 2060 were downloaded from the WorldClim website, and the elevation (1 km, 2010), population (1 km grid population dataset of China, 2010) and annual vegetation index (1 km, 2010) data were downloaded from the Resource and Environmental Science and Data Center, Institute of Geographical Sciences and Natural Resources, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The contribution of environmental factors to H. concinna distribution was evaluated and environmental variables were screened using the software MaxEnt 3.4.1 and R package 4.1.0, and the areas of suitable habitats of H. concinna and changes in center of gravity were analyzed using the maximum entropy model in Heilongjiang Province under different climatic scenarios. In addition, the accuracy of the maximum entropy model for prediction of H. concinna distribution was assessed using the area under curve (AUC) of the receiver operating characteristic curve. RESULTS A total of 79 H. concinna distribution sites and 24 environmental variables were collected, and 70 H. concinna distribution sites and 9 environmental factors that contributed to distribution of the potential suitable habitats of H. concinna in Heilongjiang Province were screened. The three most significant contributing factors included precipitation seasonality, annual precipitation, and mean temperature of the driest quarter, with cumulative contributions of 60.7%. The total area of suitable habitats of H. concinna was 29.05 × 104 km2 in Heilongjiang Province under historical climatic scenarios, with the center of gravity of suitable habitats located at (47.31° N, 129.16° E), while the total area of suitable habitats of H. concinna reduced by 0.97 × 104 km2 in Heilongjiang Province under the climatic SSP126 scenario from 2041 to 2060, with the center of gravity shifting to (47.70° N, 129.28° E). CONCLUSIONS The distribution of suitable habitats of H. concinna strongly correlates with temperature and humidity in Heilongjiang Province. The total area of potential suitable habitats of H. concinna may appear a tendency towards a decline with climatic changes in Heilongjiang Province, and high-, medium- and low-suitable habitats may shift.

Abstract
Fibrous microplastics are abundant in water, and the additives on fibers could also be transported jointly, which is a combined pollution scenario prevalent in the environment. Organisms ingest microplastics directly from the environment or indirectly through trophic transfer. However, there is a dearth of available information on the uptake and effects of fibers and their additives. This study investigated the uptake and depuration of polyester microplastic fibers (MFs, 3600 items/L) by adult female zebrafish via waterborne and foodborne exposure routes and the effects on the fish behavior. Moreover, we used brominated flame-retardant tris(2,3-dibromopropyl) isocyanurate (TBC, 5 μg/L) as a representative plastic additive compound and explored MFs' effects on the accumulation of TBC in zebrafish. Results substantiated that the highest MF concentrations in zebrafish from waterborne exposure (12.00 ± 4.59 items/tissue) were approximately three times higher than foodborne exposure, suggesting waterborne exposure as the primary ingestion route. In addition, environmentally relevant MF concentrations did not affect TBC bioaccumulation via aqueous exposure. However, MFs could decrease TBC accumulation via foodborne exposure by ingesting contaminated D. magna, which was probably because MF co-exposure decreased the TBC burden in daphnids. MF exposure also considerably increased behavioral hyperactivity in zebrafish. Moved speed, travelled distance, and active swimming duration all increased when exposed to MFs-containing groups. This phenomenon remained apparent in the foodborne exposure experiment with a low MF concentration (0.67-6.33 items/tissue) in zebrafish. This study offers a deeper understanding of MF uptake and excretion in zebrafish and the accumulation of the co-existing pollutant. We also confirmed that waterborne and foodborne exposure may lead to abnormal fish behavior even at low in vivo MF burdens.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy of Hintermann osteotomy (H-LCL) for flexible flatfoot. Methods: A follow-up study. Clinical data of 30 patients with flexible flatfoot treated with H-LCL operation from January 2020 to December 2021 in Sports Medical Center of the First Affiliated Hospital of Army Medical University were retrospectively analyzed. There were 8 males and 22 females, with a mean age of (39.0±15.2) years. The mean time from symptom onset to the diagnosis[M(Q1,Q3)]was 24.0 (5.5, 102.0) months. The functional and imaging scores of the patients before and after the last follow-up were compared to evaluate the clinical efficacy of the operation. The functional scores included American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS) score, visual analogue scale (VAS) of pain, pain interference (PI) and physical function (PF) index in Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System (PROMIS). And the imaging scores included Meary's angle, calcaneal pitch angle, calcaneal valgus angle and talonavicular coverage angle. Results: The mean operation time was (82.3±24.4) min, and the follow-up periods was (17.9±6.9) months. At the last follow-up, VAS of pain [M(Q1, Q3)] decreased from 5 (4, 6) to 2 (1, 2); PI decreased from 59.8±5.0 to 44.6±5.7; AOFAS increased from 65.2±10.0 to 85.8±3.3; PF increased from 50 (48.5,51.0) to 58.5 (54.0, 66.0); Meary's angle (antero-posterior image) decreased from 15.7° (10.1°, 29.2°) to 3.9° (2.6°, 5.3°); Meary's angle (lateral image) decreased from 13.5°±6.8° to 4.4°±2.6°; calcaneal pitch angle increased from 14.0°±3.3° to 18.6°±4.2°; calcaneal valgus angle decreased from 12.6°±7.3° to 4.3°±2.5°; and talonavicular coverage angle decreased from 20.9°±10.7° to 7.7°±5.2°. The up-mentioned parameters were all improved statistically significant at the last follow-up when compared with those before the operation (all P<0.05). Conclusion: H-LCL brings a significant improvement of clinical outcome scores and good radiological correction of flatfoot deformities in correcting flexible flatfoot, it conforms to the anatomical characteristics of the subtalar joint.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the molecular mechanism underlying the inhibitory effect of aloin on the proliferation and migration of gastric cancer cells. METHODS Human gastric cancer MGC-803 cells treated with 100, 200 and 300 μg/mL aloin were examined for changes in cell viability, proliferation and migration abilities using CCK-8, EdU and Transwell assays. HMGB1 mRNA level in the cells was detected with RT-qPCR, and the protein expressions of HMGB1, cyclin B1, cyclin E1, E-cadherin, MMP-2, MMP-9 and p-STAT3 were determined using Western blotting. JASPAR database was used to predict the binding of STAT3 to HMGB1 promoter. In a BALB/c-Nu mouse model bearing subcutaneous MGC-803 cell xenograft, the effect of intraperitoneal injection of aloin (50 mg/kg) on tumor growth was observed. The protein expressions of HMGB1, cyclin B1, cyclin E1, E-cadherin, MMP-2, MMP-9 and p-STAT3 in the tumor tissue was examined using Western blotting, and tumor metastasis in the liver and lung tissues was detected using HE staining. RESULTS Treatment with aloin concentration-dependently inhibited the viability of MGC-803 cells (P < 0.05), significantly reduced the number of EdU-positive cells (P < 0.01), and attenuated the migration ability of the cells (P < 0.01). Aloin treatment dose-dependently down-regulated HMGB1 mRNA expression (P < 0.01), lowered the protein expressions of HMGB1, cyclin B1, cyclin E1, MMP-2, MMP-9 and p-STAT3, and up-regulated E-cadherin expression in MGC-803 cells. Prediction based on JASPAR database suggested that STAT3 could bind to the promoter region of HMGB1. In the tumor-bearing mice, aloin treatment significantly reduced the tumor size and weight (P < 0.01), lowered the protein expressions of cyclin B1, cyclin E1, MMP-2, MMP-9, HMGB1 and p-STAT3 and increased the expression of E-cadherin in the tumor tissue (P < 0.01). CONCLUSION Aloin attenuates the proliferation and migration of gastric cancer cells by inhibiting the STAT3/HMGB1 signaling pathway.

Abstract
AIM To investigate the predictive value of the combination of DEEPVESSEL-fractional flow reserve (DVFFR) and quantitative plaque analysis using coronary computed tomographic angiography (CCTA) for major adverse cardiac events (MACE). METHOD In this retrospective study, data from 69 vessels from 58 consecutive patients were collected. These patients who underwent coronary angiography (CAG) with DVFFR were divided into MACE-positive and MACE-negative groups. DVFFR measurements were obtained from CCTA images acquired before CAG, and an FFR or DVFFR value ≤ 0.80 was considered haemodynamically significant. CCTA images were analysed quantitatively using automated software to obtain the following indices: total plaque volume (TPV) and burden (TPB), calcified plaque volume (CPV) and burden (CPB), non-calcified plaque volume (NCPV) and burden (NCPB), low-attenuation plaque (LAP), minimum lumen area (MLA), stenosis grade (SG) and lesion length (LL). Univariate and multivariate logistic regression, correlation, and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analyses were used for statistical analysis. RESULTS DVFFR was highly correlated with invasive FFR (R=0.728), and the Bland-Altman plot showed good agreement between DVFFR and FFR (95% CI: -0.109-0.087) on a per-vessel level. DVFFR showed a high diagnostic performance in identifying abnormal haemodynamic vessels, with an area under the ROC curve (AUC) of 0.984. In multivariate analysis, the following biomarkers were predictors of MACE: DVFFR ≤ 0.8, SG, TPB, NCPB, and LL values. The combination of the above independent risk factors yielded the most valuable prediction for MACE (AUC:0.888). CONCLUSIONS DVFFR was highly correlated with FFR with satisfactory diagnostic accuracy. DVFFR, together with plaque analysis indices, yielded valuable predictions for MACE.

Abstract
About 8 dental schools were founded by Chinese dentists during modern times (1909-1949) in China. Only one still worked after the founding of the People's Republic of China, which was one of the three dental schools founded by dentist Situ Bo. There were no systematic researches on Situ Bo's participation in dentistry education. This paper analyzes the founder's experience in dentistry and in the two schools he founded at the beginning, focusing on the background and process of the schools' construction, management, teaching, teachers and students training, etc. The results show that the establishment of the first two dental schools have laid important foundation for the establishment and development of Shanghai Dental College by the reserve of trained professional teachers and accumulated valuable experience in running schools. The systematic review of this history will help us better understand the establishment and development of Shanghai Dental College and the efforts in dentistry education made by dentists growed up in modern China, as well as the early development process of stomatology.

Abstract
PURPOSE Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) with distal symmetric polyneuropathy (DSPN) is a disease involving the nervous system caused by metabolic disorder, while the metabolic spectrum and key metabolites remain poorly defined. METHODS Plasma samples of 30 healthy controls, 30 T2DM patients, and 60 DSPN patients were subjected to nontargeted metabolomics. Potential biomarkers of DSPN were screened based on univariate and multivariate statistical analyses, ROC curve analysis, and logistic regression. Finally, another 22 patients with T2DM who developed DSPN after follow-up were selected for validation of the new biomarker based on target metabolomics. RESULTS Compared with the control group and the T2DM group, 6 metabolites showed differences in the DSPN group (P < 0.05; FDR < 0.1; VIP > 1) and a rising step trend was observed. Among them, phenylacetylglutamine (PAG) and sorbitol displayed an excellent discriminatory ability and associated with disease severity. The verification results demonstrated that when T2DM progressed to DSPN, the phenylacetylglutamine content increased significantly (P = 0.004). CONCLUSION The discovered and verified endogenous metabolite PAG may be a novel potential biomarker of DSPN and involved in the disease pathogenesis.

Abstract
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Currently, there is no effective treatment for pediatric patients with complete spinal cord injury. Motor imagery has been proposed as an alternative to physical training for patients who are unable to move voluntarily. Our aim was to reveal the potential mechanism of motor imagery in the rehabilitation of pediatric complete spinal cord injury. MATERIALS AND METHODS Twenty-six pediatric patients with complete spinal cord injury and 26 age- and sex-matched healthy children as healthy controls were recruited. All participants underwent the motor imagery task-related fMRI scans, and additional motor execution scans were performed only on healthy controls. First, we compared the brain-activation patterns between motor imagery and motor execution in healthy controls. Then, we compared the brain activation of motor imagery between the 2 groups and compared the brain activation of motor imagery in pediatric patients with complete spinal cord injury and that of motor execution in healthy controls. RESULTS In healthy controls, compared with motor execution, motor imagery showed increased activation in the left inferior parietal lobule and decreased activation in the left supplementary motor area, paracentral lobule, middle cingulate cortex, and right insula. In addition, our results revealed that the 2 groups both activated the bilateral supplementary motor area, middle cingulate cortex and left inferior parietal lobule, and supramarginal gyrus during motor imagery. Compared with healthy controls, higher activation in the bilateral paracentral lobule, supplementary motor area, putamen, and cerebellar lobules III-V was detected in pediatric complete spinal cord injury during motor imagery, and the activation of these regions was even higher than that of healthy controls during motor execution. CONCLUSIONS Our study demonstrated that part of the motor imagery network was functionally preserved in pediatric complete spinal cord injury and could be activated through motor imagery. In addition, higher-level activation in sensorimotor-related regions was also found in pediatric complete spinal cord injury during motor imagery. Our findings may provide a theoretic basis for the application of motor imagery training in pediatric complete spinal cord injury.

Abstract
Distinct hydrodynamic conditions created a hotspot of plastic and associated additive pollution within estuaries, which is of considerable scientific interest. However, the effects of specific estuarine weathering (severe mechanical wear, constant turbulence, and strong ultraviolet radiation) on migration of additives remain unclear. Therefore, we investigated the release of migrated plastic additives (MPAs) from three representative plastics, namely floating foam, fishing nets, and packaging bags, under simulated estuarine conditions. Sixty-seven MPAs leached out under the wave scenario, greater than those under the ultraviolet radiation (62) and shoal (40) scenarios. We detected forty MPAs in the plastic bag leachates, whereas fewer MPAs were released from the foam and nets. Several MPAs were peculiar to specific plastics, e.g., antistatic and curing agents in the bag and foam leachates, respectively. Particularly, a suite of nonionic surfactants, octylphenol polyethoxylates (OPEOn), exhibited outstanding responses in the packaging bag leachates and had elevated toxic potential. OPEOn significantly inhibited the hatching of zebrafish and caused cardiovascular system disorder and morphological distortions even at environmentally relevant concentrations as in estuaries. Collectively, the leaching of MPAs was significantly enhanced by wave actions, and the plastic leachates, particularly those of plastic bags, can cause detrimental risks to the estuarine ecosystem.

Abstract
Microplastic pollution has raised global concern for its hazards to biota. To determine the direct impact of microplastics during their contact with fish, we exposed goldfish (Carassius auratus) to 100 and 1000 items/L waterborne microplastic fibers in the short- and long-term. In the presence of 1000 items/L of microplastic fibers, the coughing behavior of fish increased significantly after 2 h of exposure. Predatory behaviors decreased significantly by 53.0% after 45 d of exposure, and the reduction in daily food intake was negatively related to exposure duration in the 1000 items/L group. In addition, microplastic fibers stimulated dynamic mucus secretion across different fish tissues during the different processes evaluated in this study, with 30.0% and 62.9% overall increases in the secretory capacity of mucus cells in the 100 and 1000 items/L groups, respectively. These behavioral and histological alterations were derived from the ventilation, feeding, and swimming processes of goldfish. We regarded these changes as process-oriented impacts, suggesting the effects of microplastics on fish and how fish cope with microplastics.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the drug resistance and genomic characteristics of Salmonella enterica serovar London isolated from clinical and food sources in Hangzhou City from 2017 to 2021. Methods: A total of 91 Salmonella enterica serovar London strains isolated from Hangzhou City from 2017 to 2021 were analyzed for drug susceptibility, pulsed field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) typing and whole genome sequencing. Multilocus sequence typing (MLST), core genome multilocus sequence typing (cgMLST) and detection of drug resistance genes were performed by using the sequencing data. Phylogenetic analysis was conducted to compare the 91 genomes from Hangzhou City with 347 genomes from public databases. Results: No significant difference in the drug resistance rate was observed between clinical strains and food strains to 18 drugs in Hangzhou City(all P>0.05), and the multidrug resistance (MDR) rate was 75.8% (69/91). Most strains were resistant to 7 drug classes simultaneously. One strain was resistant to Polymyxin E as well as positive for mcr-1.1, and 50.5% (46/91) of the strains were resistant to Azithromycin and were positive for mph(A). All 91 Salmonella enterica serovar London strains were ST155, which were subdivided into 44 molecular types by PFGE and 82 types by cgMLST. Phylogenetic analysis showed that most strains from Hangzhou City (83/91) were clustered together, and a small number of human isolates from Europe, North America and pork isolates from Hubei and Shenzhen were mixed in the cluster. Other strains from Hangzhou City (8/91) were closely related to strains from Europe, America and Southeast Asia. Strains isolated from pork were the most closely related to clinical strains. Conclusion: The epidemic of Salmonella enterica serovar London in Hangzhou City is mainly caused by the spread of ST155 strains, which is mainly transmitted locally. At the same time, cross-region transmission to Europe, North America, Southeast Asia, and other provinces and cities in China may also occur. There is no significant difference in the drug resistance rate between clinical strains and food strains, and a high level of MDR is found in the strains. Clinical infection of Salmonella enterica serovar London may be closely related to pork consumption in Hangzhou City.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION The use of artificial intelligence (AI) to identify acute intracranial haemorrhage (ICH) on computed tomography (CT) scans may facilitate initial imaging interpretation in the accident and emergency department. However, AI model construction requires a large amount of annotated data for training, and validation with real-world data has been limited. We developed an algorithm using an open-access dataset of CT slices, then assessed its utility in clinical practice by validating its performance on CT scans from our institution. METHODS Using a publicly available international dataset of >750 000 expert-labelled CT slices, we developed an AI model which determines ICH probability for each CT scan and nominates five potential ICH-positive CT slices for review. We validated the model using retrospective data from 1372 non-contrast head CT scans (84 [6.1%] with ICH) collected at our institution. RESULTS The model achieved an area under the curve of 0.842 (95% confidence interval=0.791-0.894; P<0.001) for scan-based detection of ICH. A pre-specified probability threshold of ≥50% for the presence of ICH yielded 78.6% accuracy, 73% sensitivity, 79% specificity, 18.6% positive predictive value, and 97.8% negative predictive value. There were 62 true-positive scans and 22 false-negative scans, which could be reduced to six false-negative scans by manual review of model-nominated CT slices. CONCLUSION Our model exhibited good accuracy in the CT scan-based detection of ICH, considering the low prevalence of ICH in Hong Kong. Model refinement to allow direct localisation of ICH will facilitate the use of AI solutions in clinical practice.

Abstract
Biofilm-coated microplastics are omnipresent in aquatic environments, carrying different organic matter (OM) that in turn influences the flocculation and settling of microplastic aggregates. In this study, the effects of chitosan, guar gum, humic acid, and xanthan gum on the flocculation of anthropogenic microplastics are examined under controlled shear through the mixing chamber experiments. The results show that all of the selected OMs have positive effects on biofilm culturing and thus enhance the growth of microplastic flocs, with more evident promoting effects for cationic and neutral OMs (i.e., chitosan and guar gum) than anionic OMs (i.e., humic acid and xanthan). No critical shear rate is observed in the size vs. shear relationship based on our measurements. In addition, the quadrature-based two-class population balance model is employed to track the development of bimodal floc size distributions (FSDs) composed of small and large microplastic flocs. The model predictions show reasonable agreement with the observed FSDs. The largest error of settling flux from the two-class model is 7.8% in contrast with the reference value measured by the camera-based FSDs with 30 bins. This study highlights the role of different OMs on microplastic flocculation and indicates that a two-class model may be sufficient to describe microplastic transport processes in estuaries.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To analyze the association of resting heart rate (RHR) with the prognosis of patients with post-infarction ventricular aneurysms. METHODS We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 227 patients with post-infarction ventricular aneurysms admitted to our hospital during 2017-2019. The endpoint event was the occurrence of any major adverse cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events (MACCEs) during the follow-up for 24 months. According to RHR measurements, the patients were divided into 3 groups with baseline RHR < 10%, 10%-90%, and >90%. The Cox proportional risk model and restricted cubic spline (RCS) model were used to analyze the effect of RHR on MACCEs. RESULTS During the 24-month followup, 90 patients (39.6%) experienced MACCEs. The fully adjusted RCS curves showed a nonlinear "U" shaped correlation between RHR and the occurrence of MACCEs. In the fully adjusted model, the risk of MACCEs increased by 3.01-fold (Hazard ratio [HR]=4.01, 95% CI: 2.07-7.76, P < 0.001) in patients with RHR>90%, as compared with patients with RHR of 10%-90%. In patients with RHR in 1-9th percentile, 10th-90th percentile and 91st-100th percentile, the incidences of MACCEs were 39.1%, 36.6% and 66.7% (P=0.027), the incidences of ventricular tachycardia/ventricular fibrillation (VT/VF) were 17.4%, 2.7% and 4.8% (P=0.005), and the incidences of readmission for heart failure were 8.7%, 26.8% and 42.9% (P=0.036), respectively. CONCLUSION Continuous monitoring and management of heart rate range may provide guidance for prognosis prediction in patients with post-infarction ventricular aneurysms.

Abstract
AIM To compare the reproducibility of apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC)-based radiomic features between readout-segmented echo-planar diffusion-weighted imaging (RESOLVE) and single-shot echo-planar diffusion-weighted imaging (SS-EPI DWI) in cervical cancer. MATERIALS AND METHODS The RESOLVE and SS-EPI DWI images of 36 patients with histopathologically confirmed cervical cancer were collected retrospectively. Two observers independently delineated the whole tumour on RESOLVE and SS-EPI DWI, and then copied them to the corresponding ADC maps. Shape, first-order, and texture features were extracted from ADC maps in the original and filtered (Laplacian of Gaussian [LoG] and wavelet) images. Thereafter, 1,316 features were generated in each RESOLVE and SS-EPI DWI, respectively. The reproducibility of radiomic features was assessed using intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC). RESULTS In the original images, RESOLVE showed 92.86%, 66.67%, and 86.67% of features with excellent reproducibility in shape, first-order, and texture features, while SS-EPI DWI showed 85.71%, 72.22%, and 60% of features with excellent reproducibility, respectively. In the LoG and wavelet filtered images, RESOLVE had 56.77% and 65.32% of features with excellent reproducibility and SS-EPI DWI had 44.95% and 61.96% of features with excellent reproducibility, respectively. CONCLUSION Compared with SS-EPI DWI, the feature reproducibility of RESOLVE was better in cervical cancer, especially for texture features. The filtered images cannot improve the feature reproducibility compared with the original images for both SS-EPI DWI and RESOLVE.

Abstract
Immune subtyping is an important way to reveal immune heterogeneity, which may contribute to the diversity of the progression and treatment in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). However, reported immune subtypes mainly focus on levels of immune infiltration and are mostly based on a mono-omics profile. This study aimed to identify a comprehensive immune subtype for HNSCC via multi-omics clustering and build a novel subtype prediction system for clinical application. Data were obtained from The Cancer Genome Atlas database and our independent multicenter cohort. Multi-omics clustering was performed to identify 3 clusters of 499 patients in The Cancer Genome Atlas based on immune-related gene expression and somatic mutations. The immune characteristics and biological features of the obtained clusters were revealed by bioinformatics, and 3 immune subtypes were identified: 1) adaptive immune activation subtype predominantly enriched in T cells, 2) innate immune activation subtype predominantly enriched in macrophages, and 3) immune desert subtype. Subsequently, the clinical implications of each subtype were analyzed per clinical epidemiology. We found that adaptive immune activation showed better survival outcomes and had a similar response to chemotherapy with innate immune activation, whereas immune desert might be relatively resistant to chemotherapy. Moreover, a subtype prediction system was developed by deep learning with whole slide images and named HISMD: HNSCC Immune Subtypes via Multi-omics and Deep Learning. We endowed HISMD with interpretability through image-based key feature extraction. The clinical implications, biological significances, and predictive stability of HISMD were successfully verified by using our independent multicenter cohort data set. In summary, this study revealed the immune heterogeneity of HNSCC and obtained a novel, highly accurate, and interpretable immune subtyping prediction system. For clinical implementation in the future, additional validation and utility studies are warranted.

Abstract
African swine fever virus (ASFV) causes feverous and hemorrhagic disease of domestic pigs and European wild boars with high mortality, yet no commercial vaccine is currently available. Several ASFV strains with natural deletion or gene-targeted knockout of multiple MGF360 and MGF505 genes are attenuated in vitro and in vivo, and can offer full protection against homologous challenge. However, the mechanisms underlying the protection are not fully understood. This study aims to investigate the effects of MGF360-12L of ASFV-SY18 on the cGAS-STING signaling pathway and explore the potential mechanisms. We identified that ASFV-SY18 MGF360-12L could inhibit cGAS-STING, TBK1, or IRF3-5D-stimulated IFN-β expression and ISRE activation. Specifically, MGF360-12L inhibits both the activation of PRD(III-I) in a dose-dependent manner, and suppresses the exogenous expression of TBK1 and IRF3-5D. MGF360-12L could block NF-κB activation induced by overexpression of cGAS-STING, TBK1, IKKβ. Downstream of the IFN-β signaling, MGF360-12L blocks the ISRE promoter activation by reducing total protein level of IRF9. Moreover, MGF360-12L protein can inhibit IFN-β-mediated antiviral effects. In conclusion, our findings suggest that MGF360-12L is a multifunctional immune-evasion protein that inhibits both the expression and effect of IFN-β, which could partially explain the attenuation of relevant gene-deleted ASFV strains, and shed light on the development of efficient ASFV live attenuated vaccines in the future.

Abstract
The cytokinin two-component signal transduction system (TCS) is involved in many biological processes, including hormone signal transduction and plant growth regulation. Although cytokinin TCS has been well characterized in Arabidopsis thaliana, its role in tomato remains elusive. In this study, we characterized the diversity and function of response regulator (RR) genes, a critical component of TCS, in tomato. In total, we identified 31 RR genes in the tomato genome. These SlRR genes were classified into three subgroups (type-A, type-B and type-C). Various stress-responsive cis-elements were present in the tomato RR gene promoters. Their expression responses under pesticide treatment were evaluated by transcriptome analysis. Their expression under heat, cold, ABA, salinity and NaHCO3 treatments was further investigated by qRT-PCR and complemented with the available transcription data under these treatments. Specifically, SlRR13 expression was significantly upregulated under salinity, drought, cold and pesticide stress and was downregulated under ABA treatment. SlRR23 expression was induced under salt treatment, while the transcription level of SlRR1 was increased under cold and decreased under salt stress. We also found that GATA transcription factors played a significant role in the regulation of SlRR genes. Based on our results, tomato SlRR genes are involved in responses to abiotic stress in tomato and could be implemented in molecular breeding approaches to increase resistance of tomato to environmental stresses.

Abstract
The wide occurrence of microplastics (MPs) and nanoparticles resulted in their inevitable coexistence in environment. However, the joint effects of these two types of particulate emerging contaminants on denitrification have seldomly been investigated. Herein, non-biodegradable polyvinyl chloride, polypropylene, polyethylene and biodegradable polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) MPs were chosen to perform the co-occurrent effects with nano copper oxide (nano-CuO). Both the nano-CuO and MPs inhibited the denitrification process, and biodegradable PHA-MPs showed severer inhibition than non-biodegradable MPs. However, the presence of MPs significantly alleviated the inhibition of nano-CuO, suggesting an antagonistic effect. Other than MPs decreasing copper ion release from nano-CuO, MPs and nano-CuO formed agglomerations and induced lower levels of oxidative stress compared to individual exposure. Transcriptome analysis indicated that the co-occurrent MPs and nano-CuO induced different regulation on denitrifying genes (e. g. nar and nor) compared to individual ones. Also, the expressions of genes involved in denitrification-associated metabolic pathways, including glycolysis and NADH electron transfer, were down-regulated by nano-CuO or MPs, but exhibiting recovery under the co-occurrent conditions. This study firstly discloses the antagonistic effect of nano-CuO and MPs on environmental process, and these findings will benefit the systematic evaluation of MPs environmental behavior and co-occurrent risk with other pollutants.

Abstract
Osteoporosis is a complex multifactorial disease that can lead to an increased risk of fracture. However, selective and effective osteoporosis drugs are still lacking. We showed that Asperosaponin VI (AVI) has the implications to be further developed as an alternative supplement for the prevention and treatment of bone loss. AVI has been found to have beneficial effects on metabolic diseases such as bone loss, obesity, and atherosclerosis. Our study was designed to determine the effect and mechanism of action of AVI against bone loss through regulating microbial dysbiosis. A hindlimb unloading mouse model was established to determine the effect of AVI on bone microarchitecture, gut microbiota, and serum metabolites. Eighteen female C57BL/6 J mice were divided into three groups: control, hindlimb unloading with vehicle (HLU), and hindlimb unloading treated with AVI (HLU-AVI, 200 mg/kg/day). AVI was administrated orally for 4 weeks. The results demonstrated that AVI improved the bone microstructure by reversing the decrease in bone volume fraction and trabecular number, and the increase in trabecular separation and structure model index of cancellous bone in hindlimb suspension mice. The results of 16sRNA gene sequencing suggested that the therapeutic effect of AVI on bone loss may be achieved through it regulating the gut microbiota, especially certain specific microorganisms. Combined with the analysis of ELISA, immunohistochemistry, and serum metabolome results, it could be speculated that AVI played an important role in adjusting the balance of bone metabolism by influencing specific flora such as Clostridium and its metabolites to regulate the 5-hydroxytryptophan pathway. The study explored the novel mechanism of AVI against osteoporosis, and has implications for the further development of AVI as an alternative supplement for the prevention and treatment of bone loss.

Abstract
Amino antioxidants (AAOs), a suite of emerging organic contaminants, have been widely used in numerous industrial and commercial products to inhibit oxidation and corrosion. Recently, their environmental ubiquity, health risks, bioaccumulative and toxic potential have led to mounting public concern. This review summarizes the current state of knowledge on the production and usage, environmental occurrence, bioavailability, human exposure, and aquatic toxicity of representative AAOs, and provides suggestions for future research directions. Previous studies have revealed widespread distribution of many AAOs in various environmental matrixes, including air, water, sediment, dust, and biota. In addition to parent compounds, their degradation products, such as 2-anilino-5-(1,3-dimethylbutylamino)-1,4-benzoquinone (6PPD-Q) and 4-nitrodiphenylamine (4-NO2-DPA), have also been detected at high levels in multiple compartments. Dust ingestion and air inhalation are the two most well-investigated routes for human exposure to AAOs and their transformation products, while studies on other pathways (e.g., skin contact and dietary intake) still remain extremely limited. Moreover, AAO burdens in human tissue have been poorly documented. Toxicological data have shown that a few AAOs may cause teratogenic, developmental, reproductive, endocrinic, neuronic, and genetic toxicity to aquatic organisms, and the toxic capacities of degradation products differ from their precursors. Future studies should focus on elucidating AAO exposure for humans and associated health risks. Additionally, more attention should be given to AAO transformation products (particularly those quinoid derivatives possessing substantial affinity with DNA) and to the effects of complex mixtures of these chemicals.

Abstract
AIM To explore the specific association between sarcopenia and prediabetes based on large population samples. METHODS A total of 16,116 U.S. adults aged 20-59 with dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) was identified from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys (NHANES). Sarcopenia was defined according to appendicular skeletal muscle mass (ASM) adjusted for body mass index (BMI). Multivariable binary logistic regression models were used to ascertain odds ratios (ORs) for developing prediabetes. Stratified analyses were also performed. RESULTS Prevalence of prediabetes was higher in the sarcopenia group (n = 1055) compared with the non-sarcopenia group (n = 15,061) (45.50% vs 28.74%, P < 0.001). Sarcopenia was strongly associated with an increased risk of prediabetes after full adjustment (OR = 1.21, 95CI%: 1.05, 1.39, P = 0.009). In the stratified analysis, this association remained significant independent of obesity, triglycerides, and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels. When sarcopenia subjects combined with obesity especially central obesity, the risk of prediabetes was the highest (OR = 2.63, 95CI%: 2.22, 3.11, P < 0.001). Furthermore, a greater proportion of any of impaired glucose tolerance (IGT) individuals was observed in the sarcopenia group compared to the non-sarcopenia group among prediabetes population (41.72% vs 24.06%, P < 0.001). CONCLUSIONS Sarcopenia was positively associated with prevalent prediabetes especially IGT in the non-elderly. Moreover, synergistic interactions between the sarcopenia and obesity could greatly increase the risk of prediabetes.

Abstract
Professor Mao Xiejun wrote a report about dental education of China in 1935. From 1948 to 1950, he published three articles containing the educational idea of "developing dentistry into stomatology". When he served as the director of the Faculty of Dentistry of Peking University Medical School in July 1950, he proposed to rename the Faculty of Dentistry into the Faculty of Stomatology,which were approved by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China in one month. The Chinese Medical Association established the Society of Stomatology the next year. Later, dentistry was successively changed into stomatology, and medical content was integrated into dental education, which was of great significance and far-reaching influence. During the developments of the thought of stomatological education in China, Professor Mao Xiejun evidently played a pivotal role. In this paper, the formation process of the thoughts of stomatological education related to professor Mao Xiejun's contribution is elucidated through studying the archives, personal letters, and historical documents, so as to enrich the researches on the history of stomatology in China and to facilitate better understanding and promoting the development of stomatology.

Abstract
Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is one of the most common pregnancy complications and has serious implications for the health of mothers and their offspring. In recent years, studies have confirmed that air pollution is one of the main risk factors for diabetes, and there is increasing evidence that air pollution exposure is closely related to the occurrence of gestational diabetes. However, current studies on the association between air pollutant exposure and the incidence of gestational diabetes are inconsistent, and the window period of pollutant exposure is still unclear. Limited mechanistic studies suggest that airborne particulate matter and gaseous pollutants may affect GDM through multiple mechanisms, including inflammation, oxidative stress, disruption of adipokine secretion, and imbalance of intestinal flora. This review summarizes the relationship between air pollutant exposure and the incidence of GDM in recent years, as well as the possible molecular mechanism of the occurrence and development of GDM caused by air pollutants, in order to provide scientific basis for preventing pollutant exposure, reducing the risk of GDM, improving maternal and fetal outcomes and improving the quality of the birth population.

Abstract
In order to investigate carriage status and serum groups distribution of Neisseria meningitidis(Nm) among healthy population in Jiangsu Province, four counties were selected as monitoring sites by random sampling method for cross-sectional study. Throat swab specimens were collected from four monitoring sites in October to November 2019 and November to December 2020 for bacterial culture and Real-time PCR detection. Chi-square test was used to compare the positive rate of Neisseria meningitidis, and multiple logistic regression model was used to analyze the influencing factors of Neisseria meningitidis carrier rate. The results showed that among 1 512 samples, 57 strains of Nm were isolated, and the carrier rate was 3.77%. Serogroup B was the dominant group (36.84%), followed by un-known serogroups (33.33%), serogroup C was the third (17.54%), serogroup W135 and serogroup A were 7.02% and 5.26%, respectively. The carriage rate (8.60%) of 15-20 years old was significantly higher than others (1.77%-3.74%)(Pearson χ2=18.211, P<0.05). Region, age and immunization history were risk factors for Neisseria meningitidis carrier rate. In summary, the Nm carrier rate of healthy population in Jiangsu Province is relatively low, which indicates that the epidemic cases will continue to be sporadic in the future. However, the prevention and control of meningococcal epidemics on campus should be strengthened, and the monitoring of neisseria meningitidis group B should be maintained as it has become the dominant epidemic strain.

Abstract
Sonodynamic therapy (SDT) represents a promising therapeutic modality for treating breast cancer, which relies on the generation of abundant reactive oxygen species (ROS) to induce oxidative stress damage. However, mutant breast cancers, especially triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), have evolved to acquire specific antioxidant defense functions, significantly limiting the killing efficiency of SDT. Herein, the authors have engineered a distinct single copper atom-doped titanium dioxide (Cu/TiO2 ) nanosonosensitizer with highly catalytic and sonosensitive activities for synergistic chemodynamic and sonodynamic treatment of TNBC. The single-atom Cu is anchored on the most stable Ti vacancies of hollow TiO2 sonosensitizers, which not only substantially improved the catalytic activity of Cu-mediated Fenton-like reaction, but also considerably augmented the sonodynamic efficiency of TiO2 by facilitating the separation of electrons (e- ) and holes (h+ ). Both the in vitro and in vivo studies demonstrate that the engineered single atom-doped nanosonosensitizers effectively achieved the significantly inhibitory effect of TNBC, providing a therapeutic paradigm for non-invasive and safe tumor elimination through the mutual process of sono/chemo-nanodynamic therapy based on multifunctional single-atom nanosonosensitizers.

Abstract
Fiber shedding from artificial textiles is among the primary sources of pervasive microplastics in various aquatic habitats. To avoid molten drop burning, triphenyl phosphate (TPhP), a typical flame retardant additive, is commonly incorporated into textile fibers. However, the role of microplastic fibers (MFs) as a vehicle for TPhP remains largely unknown. In this study, we investigated the effects of MFs on the bioaccumulation and metabolism of TPhP in zebrafish. We applied the compound spinning technique for a non-disruptive in situ measurement of fluorescent MFs in fish, and the desorption electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (DESI-MS) to display the tissue distribution of TPhP and its metabolites vividly. Laboratory results showed that ingested MFs did not change the TPhP distribution in fish; however, they statistically increased the metabolite p-OH-TPhP concentration in the fish hindgut, which was probably because the high accumulation of MFs there enhanced the TPhP hydroxylation. Field investigation further supported the lab-based analyses. Higher concentrations of MFs did cause a higher ratio of [p-OH-TPhP]/[TPhP] in the wild fish gut, particularly in the hindgut. Collectively, our results demonstrated that MFs can change the distribution and bioavailability of TPhP metabolites, which was confirmed by both laboratory and fieldwork. Therefore, the ingestion of MFs can indirectly but substantially influence the bioaccumulation and biotransformation of co-existing pollutants.

Abstract
Leaf stoichiometry can characterize plant ecological strategies and correlate with plant responses to climate change. The role of vascular epiphytes in the ecosystem processes of tropical and subtropical forest ecosystems cannot be ignored. Vascular epiphytes are very vulnerable to climate change, however, the relationship between the response of epiphytes to climate change and leaf stoichiometry is not well understood. We present data for 19 vascular epiphyte species that were collected during four consecutive censuses (in 2005, 2010, 2015, and 2020) over 15 years in a subtropical montane cloud forest. We assessed the relationships between the population dynamics and leaf stoichiometry of these vascular epiphytes. Experiencing an extreme drought, 14 of the 19 epiphyte species showed an obvious decrease in the number of individuals, and all species showed negative growth in the number of populations. Subsequently, the total number of individuals gradually recovered, increasing from 7,195 in 2010 to 10,121 in 2015, then to 13,667 in 2020. The increase in the number of vascular epiphyte individuals from 2010 to 2015 was significantly negatively correlated with leaf nitrogen and phosphorus concentration, and was significantly positively correlated with the leaf carbon-nitrogen ratio. Vascular epiphyte populations with higher leaf nutrient concentrations exhibited weaker resilience to the extreme drought, which demonstrated that a resource-conservative strategy was advantageous for the recovery of epiphyte populations. Our findings suggest that ecological stoichiometry can be a useful framework for forecasting the dynamics of vascular epiphyte populations in response to climate change.

ALDH2 genetic polymorphisms plays an important role in the occurrence of a variety of liver diseases in the human population.This paper mainly reviews the research progress of ALDH2 in liver diseases in recent years, with a view to provide theoretical basis for clinical prevention and treatment.

Abstract
Propofol has been shown to against intestinal reperfusion injury when treated either before or after ischemia, during which mast cell could be activated. The aim of this study was to evaluate the role of propofol in restoring the intestinal epithelial cells integrity disrupted by mast cell activation or the released tryptase after activation in vitro. We investigated the effect of: (1) tryptase on Caco-2 monolayers in the presence of PAR-2 inhibitor or propofol, (2) mast cell degranulation in a Caco-2/LAD-2 co-culture model in the presence of propofol, and (3) propofol on mast cell degranulation. Epithelial integrity was detected using transepithelial resistance (TER) and permeability to fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC)-dextran (the apparent permeability coefficient, Papp). The expression of junctional proteins zonula occludens-1 (ZO-1/TJP1) and occludin were determined using western blot analysis and immunofluorescence microscopy. The intracellular levels of reactive oxidative species (ROS) and Ca2+ were measured using flow cytometry. Tryptase directly enhanced intestinal barrier permeability as demonstrated by significant reductions in TER, ZO-1, and occludin protein expression and concomitant increases in Papp. The intestinal barrier integrity was restored by PAR-2 inhibitor but not by propofol. Meanwhile, mast cell degranulation resulted in epithelial integrity disruption in the Caco-2/LAD-2 co-culture model, which was dramatically attenuated by propofol. Mast cell degranulation caused significant increases in intracellular ROS and Ca2+ levels, which were blocked by propofol and NAC. Propofol pretreatment can inhibit mast cell activation via ROS/Ca2+ and restore the intestinal barrier integrity induced by mast cell activation, instead of by tryptase.

Abstract
Cardiac lipomas are rare primary cardiac tumors that are often only detected incidentally during other examinations. Lipomas of the right atrium are particularly rare. In this report, we describe the case of a patient presenting with a mixed cystic-solid lipoma in the right atrium. The symptoms, imaging findings, and treatment strategies associated with this case are discussed herein. This 65-year-old female patient reported to our hospital due to exertional chest tightness, shortness of breath, and occasional chest pain for over 1 year. She subsequently underwent transthoracic echocardiography and contrast-enhanced ultrasonography, both of which revealed a cystic-solid mass in the right atrium. The transthoracic computed tomography scan showed a dense patchy shadow in the right atrium. The mass was completely excised from the atrial septum, and subsequent histopathological examination confirmed its identity as a lipoma. Surgical resection remains the primary treatment approach for cardiac lipomas, and multimodal imaging is of key importance for the diagnosis and follow-up monitoring of affected patients.

Eight dental schools were founded by Chinese dentists during modern times (1909-1949) in China, but only one of them still works. This article analyzes the establishment processes, faculty and student trainings in some of these dental schools, combining with the social background and management system at that time, to explore the difficulties encountered by Chinese dentists in founding dental schools before 1949.
