Abstract
In this study, seventeen isobavachalcone (IBC) derivatives (1-17) were synthesised, and evaluated for their cytotoxic activity against three human lung cancer cell lines. Among these derivatives, compound 16 displayed the most potent cytotoxic activity against H1975 and A549 cells, with IC50 values of 4.35 and 14.21 μM, respectively. Compared with IBC, compound 16 exhibited up to 4.11-fold enhancement of cytotoxic activity on human non-small cell lung cancer H1975 cells. In addition, we found that compound 16 suppressed H1975 cells via inducing apoptosis and necroptosis. The initial mechanism of compound 16 induced cell death in H1975 cells involves the increasing of Bax/Bcl-2 ratio and Cyt C protein level, down-regulating of Akt protein level, and cleaving caspase-9 and -3 induced apoptosis; the up-regulation of RIP3, p-RIP3, MLKL, and p-MLKL levels induced necroptosis. Moreover, compound 16 also caused mitochondrial dysfunction, thereby decreasing cellular ATP levels, and resulting in excessive reactive oxygen species (ROS) accumulation.

Abstract
Dry-cured ham is important source of bioactive peptides. In this study, the antioxidant activities of peptides and components from low and fully salted dry-cured hams were compared by peptidomics. And novel antioxidant peptides were identified and characterized. The results showed that the peptides (<3 KDa) extracted from low-salt dry-cured ham had higher antioxidant activity. Therefore, the antioxidant peptides in low-salt dry-cured ham were further characterized and the mechanism of their antioxidant activity was investigated. From the five candidate peptides selected, we found DWPDARGIWHND (DD12) to be highly stable, non-sensitizing, and non-toxic with the highest free radical scavenging activity. Molecular docking predicted that DD12 interacted with Keap1 through hydrogen-bond formation and hydrophobic interactions, suggesting that DD12 had good cellular antioxidant activity. DD12 peptide can bind to DPPH• and ABTS•+, resulting in strong free radical scavenging activity. Our findings support the development and application of natural antioxidant peptides in dry-cured ham.

Abstract
The aim of this study is to investigate the adverse effects of benzophenones (BPs) on the intestinal tract of mice and the potential mechanism. F1-generation ICR mice were exposed to BPs (benzophenone-1, benzophenone-2, and benzophenone-3) by breastfeeding from birth until weaning, and by drinking water after weaning until maturity. The offspring mice were executed on postnatal day 56, then their distal colons were sampled. AB-PAS staining, HE staining, immunofluorescence, Transmission Electron Microscope, immunohistochemistry, western blot and RT-qPCR were used to study the effects of BPs exposure on the colonic tissues of offspring mice. The results showed that colonic microvilli appeared significantly deficient in the high-dose group, and the expression of tight junction markers Zo-1 and Occludin was significantly down-regulated and the number of goblet cells and secretions were reduced in all dose groups, and the expression of secretory cell markers MUC2 and KI67 were decreased, as well as the expression of intestinal stem cell markers Lgr5 and Bmi1, suggesting that BPs exposure caused disruption of intestinal barrier and imbalance in the composition of the intestinal stem cell pool. Besides, the expression of cellular inflammatory factors such as macrophage marker F4/80 and tumor necrosis factor TNF-α was elevated in the colonic tissues of all dose groups, and the inflammatory infiltration was observed, which means the exposure of BPs caused inflammatory effects in the intestinal tract of F1-generation mice. In addition, the contents of Notch/Wnt signaling pathway-related genes, such as Dll-4, Notch1, Hes1, Ctnnb1and Sfrp2 were significantly decreased in each high-dose group (P < 0.05), suggesting that BPs may inhibit the regulation of Notch/Wnt signaling pathway. In conclusion, exposure to BPs was able to imbalance colonic homeostasis, disrupt the intestinal barrier, and trigger inflammation in the offspring mice, which might be realized through interfering with the Notch/Wnt signaling pathway.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Acute respiratory infections are a major global public health concern. However, there are few epidemiological studies investigating pathogens associated with respiratory tract infections in Guizhou Province, China. METHODS We collected 17,850 blood samples from Guizhou Provincial People's Hospital between November 2018 and May 2023 to investigate the epidemiological characteristics of respiratory pathogens and their spread during the SARS-CoV-2 epidemic in Guizhou Province. RESULTS We identified influenza virus and Mycoplasma pneumoniae as the predominant pathogens involved in acute respiratory infections in the study area. Immunoglobulin M positivity for respiratory syncytial virus, influenza virus, and M. pneumoniae showed a strong correlation with the clinical diagnosis of pneumonia. Seasonal epidemic patterns were observed for influenza A and B viruses. Following the SARS-CoV-2 outbreak, there was a significant decrease in the positive rates for most respiratory pathogens, particularly influenza A and B, Legionella pneumophila, and respiratory syncytial virus. CONCLUSION This retrospective study contributes to the epidemiological evidence regarding respiratory pathogens in Guizhou Province, thereby enhancing the surveillance network for respiratory pathogens in China and providing valuable guidance for local hospitals.

Abstract
Five new iridoids, valeralides A-E (1-5), two new acyclic monoterpenoids, valeralides F (6) and G (7), together with two known iridoids (8 and 9), were isolated from the roots and rhizomes of Valeriana officinalis var. latifolia. Their structures were elucidated based on 1D and 2D NMR, as well as HR-ESI-MS spectroscopic data. The absolute configuration of compounds 1-4 were elucidated based on electronic circular dichroism (ECD) calculation. In addition, all the isolates were evaluated for their inhibition on nitric oxide production, cytotoxicity and anti-influenza A virus activity.

Abstract
Fifty-nine compounds, including nineteen previously undescribed iridoids (valeriananols A-S) and an undescribed alkaloid (5'-isovaleryl uridine), were isolated from the leaves and stems of Valeriana officinalis var. latifolia. Their structures were elucidated based on Mass spectrometry and NMR spectroscopy. The absolute configuration of valeriananols A-C, E-N, P, Q and S was determined by experimental and calculated electronic circular dichroism. Structurally, valeriananols A and B were two 1,3-seco-iridoids with a 3,6-epoxy moiety, valeriananols K and L were a pair of C-4 epimers, while valeriananol S was a 4'-deoxy iridoid glycoside. In addition, valeriananol P, stenopterin A and patriscabioin C exhibited significant inhibition on nitric oxide production with IC50 values of 10.31, 3.93 and 8.69 μM, respectively. Furthermore, stenopterin A and patriscabioin C showed anti-proliferation activity on the MCF-7 cell line with IC50 values of 17.28 and 13.89 μM, respectively.

Abstract
In this study, we sought to quantify the effect of planting structure change on fertilizer input and environmental cost in Chongqing and develop scientific and rational strategies for chemical fertilizer reduction. Based on the crop fertilizer quota standard and large sample farmer survey data under the medium productivity level in Chongqing, we evaluated and analyzed the application reduction potential and environmental benefits of fertilizer with the difference method and life cycle assessment. The results showed that:① since Chongqing became a municipality directly under the central government (1997), Chongqing crop planting structure had greatly changed, and the proportion of food crop (rice, corn, wheat, bean, and potato) decreased by 21%. The area of fruits and vegetables increased from 3.36×105 hm2 to 1.05×106 hm2, and their proportion increased by 20%. ② Nearly 55% of fertilizers had been consumed by vegetable (37%) and citrus production systems, and 11%, 12%, and 12% of fertilizers were consumed by rice, corn, and potato, respectively. ③ The total fertilizer reduction of the Chongqing planting industry could reach up to 1.69×105 tons during the period of "the 14th Five-Year Plan," with a fertilizer reduction potential of 18.6%. The fertilizer reduction potential (reduction amount) of rice, corn, citrus, and vegetables would reach 0.3% (2.9×102 tons), 12% (1.45×104 tons), 21% (3.65×104 tons), and 30% (1.18×105 tons), respectively. On the other hand, the rape system was insufficient in phosphorus potassium fertilizers, and the corn tended to be insufficient in potash fertilizer. ④ The current production level was low, and the nitrogen loss, greenhouse gas emissions, and eutrophication potential in the planting industry of Chongqing reached 1.81×105 tons (N), 1.43×107 tons (CO2-eq), and 1.74×105 tons (PO4-eq). With the increase in the realization degree of the crop quota standard (60%-100%), the reactive nitrogen loss, greenhouse gas emissions, and eutrophication potential decreased by 14.9%-24.9%, 10.1%-16.7%, and 13.8%-23%, respectively. The structure of the planting industry in Chongqing significantly changed, the total fertilizer consumption in Chongqing tended to decline gradually, and the fertilization intensity of commercial crops stayed at a high level. The agricultural fertilizer reduction potential and the reactive nitrogen and greenhouse gas emission reduction potential were large, especially for citrus and vegetable production systems. However, it is also necessary to pay attention to insufficient corn potash fertilizer and rape phosphorus potassium fertilizer investment and carry out collaborative promotion of fertilizer reduction.

Abstract
This investigation was designed to examine the potential involvement of RAGE/NADPH oxidase signaling in the damage to the brain caused by chronic fluorosis. Sprague-Dawley rats were divided randomly into 9 groups each containing 20 animals, Controls (C); rats receiving low (i.e., 10 ppm) (LF) or high does ( i.e., 50 ppm) (HF) of fluoride in their drinking water; and these same groups injected with FPS-ZM1, an inhibitor of RAGE, (CF, LFF and HFF, respectively) or administered EGb761, an active ingredient of Ginkgo biloba extract, intragastrically (CE, LFE, and HFE). Following 3 and 6 months of such treatment, the spatial learning and memory of the animals were assessed with the Morris water maze test; the levels of malondialdehyde (MDA), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) assayed by biochemical methods; and the levels of proteins related to the RAGE/NADPH pathway determined by Western blot and of the corresponding mRNAs by qPCR. After 6 months, the spatial learning and memory of the LF and HF groups had declined; their brain contents of MDA and H2O2 increased and SOD activity decreased; and the levels of the RAGE, gp91, P47, phospho-P47phox and P22 proteins and corresponding mRNAs in their brains were all elevated. Interestingly, all of these pathological changes caused by fluorosis could be attenuated by both FPS-ZM1 and EGb761. These findings indicate that the brain damage induced by fluorosis may be caused, at least in part, by enhanced RAGE/NADPH oxidase signaling and that FPS-ZM1 or EGb761 might be of clinical value in connection with the treatment of this condition.

Abstract
The estrogen receptor-positive (ER+) breast cancers constitute more than 50 % of breast cancers, seriously threatening the health of women. Unfortunately, the detection and targeted therapy of ER+ breast cancers remain a challenge. Here, a novel nucleic acid aptamer S1-4 was developed to specifically target ER+ breast cancer MCF-7 cells by using Cell-SELEX and nucleic acid truncation strategies. The affinity dissociation constant of the binding of aptamer S1-4 to MCF-7 cells was 97.6 ± 7.5 nM in vitro. Compared with HER2+ breast cells SK-BR-3 and triple-negative breast cancer cells MDA-MB-231, MCF-7 cells were selectively recognized and targeted by aptamer S1-4. Fluorescence tracing in vivo results also indicated that aptamer S1-4 selectively targeted the cell membrane of tumor tissues in MCF-7- but not in SK-BR3 or MDB-MA-231-bearing mice. This selectively developed novel aptamer probe S1-4 with high affinity could be used for the diagnosis and treatment of ER+ breast cancers.

Abstract
In this study, 21 new honokiol derivatives were synthesised, and their anti-cancer properties were investigated. Among these, compound 1g exhibited the most potent cytotoxic activity against human nasopharyngeal carcinoma CNE-2Z cells, human gastric cancer SGC7901 cells, human breast cancer MCF-7 cells, and mouse leydig testicular cancer I-10 lines with IC50 values of 6.04, 7.17, 6.83, and 5.30 μM, respectively. Compared to the parental compound, 1g displayed up to 5.18-fold enhancement of the cytotoxic effect on CNE-2Z cells. We further demonstrated that 1g inhibited cell growth, suppressed migration and invasion, and induced apoptosis of CNE-2Z cells by down-regulating HIF-1α, MMP-2, MMP-9, Bcl-2, Akt and up-regulating Bax protein levels. Transfection of CNE-2Z cells with HIF-1α siRNA reduced cell migration and invasion. In addition, in vivo experiments confirmed that 1g inhibited tumour growth in CNE-2Z cell-xenografted nude mice with low toxicity. Thus, our data suggested that 1g was a potent and safe lead compound for nasopharyngeal carcinoma therapy.

Abstract
Purpose There is a scarcity of predictive models currently accessible for prognosticating proliferative hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), an integrated class of subtype, characterized by a dismal prognosis. Consequently, this study aimed to develop and validate a novel prognostic model capable of accurately predicting the prognosis of proliferative HCC after curative resection. Patients and Methods This retrospective multicenter study included patients with solitary HCC who underwent curative liver resection from August 2014 to December 2020 (n = 816). Patients were stratified into either the proliferative HCC cohort (n = 259) or the nonproliferative HCC cohort (n = 557) based on histological criteria. Disease-free survival (DFS) was compared between the two groups before and after one-to-one propensity score matching (PSM). Of all the proliferative HCC patients, 203 patients were assigned to training cohort, and 56 patients were assigned to validation cohort. Univariate and multivariate analyses were performed in training cohort to identify risk factors associated with worse DFS. Thereafter, a predictive model was constructed, subsequently validated in the validation cohort. Results The DFS of proliferative HCC was significantly worse than nonproliferative HCC before and after PSM. Meanwhile, multivariate regression analysis revealed that liver cirrhosis (P = 0.032) and larger tumor size (P = 0.000) were independent risk factors of worse DFS. Lastly, the discriminative abilities of the predictive model for 1, 3, 5-year DFS rates, as determined by receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves, were 0.702, 0.720, and 0.809 in the training cohort and 0.752, 0.776, and 0.851 in the validation cohort, respectively. Conclusion This study developed a predictive model with satisfactory accuracy to predict the worse DFS in proliferative HCCs after liver resection. Moreover, this predictive model may serve as a valuable tool for clinicians to predict postoperative HCC recurrence, thereby enabling them to implement early preventative strategies.

Abstract
The preparation of highly conductive media and the construction of conducting channels play a crucial role in improving the electrical conductivity of electrically conductive adhesives. Therefore, a new MXene structure is reported in this paper, and the improved structure is rationally designed by computational modeling, which greatly prevents the buildup of MXene nanosheets, improves the stability of the structure, and creates a wide electron transfer channel, and the capacitance contribution of this structure is up to 86.3%. By mixing MXene modified with Ag-plated copper powder in a quantitative relationship to form high conductive media, the electrical conductivity is largely improved and the defect of low electron transfer rate of conventional conductive fillers is broken. The potential value of high conductive media is largely exploited using high throughput and machine learning methods, and here we show that the resistivity has reached 9.668 × 10-7 Ω m. The first principles investigate the conductive channels and electron transfer pathways of high-conductive media at the atomic level, further revealing the mechanism of action of high-conductive media. This study is also the first report on the application of MXene to high-conductive media.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the feasibility and value of performing a three-sided encapsulation procedure based on fascia anatomy in laparoscopic lateral lymph node dissection (LLND) for middle and low rectal cancer. Methods: This was a retrospective review. The study cohort comprised patients who met the diagnostic criteria for rectal cancer according to the Chinese Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Colorectal Cancer, had a short lymph node diameter of >5 mm on the lateral side within the 15 days before surgery, were evaluated as feasible candidates for laparoscopic total mesorectal excision+LLND surgery, had been diagnosed with low or intermediate level rectal cancer, and whose tumor was less than 8 cm away from the anal verge according to pathological examination of the operative specimen. Patients with a history of other malignant tumors of the abdomen or with incomplete follow-up data were excluded. Forty-two patients with middle and low rectal cancer who had undergone lateral lymph node dissection in diagnosis and treatment center of Gastrointestinal Cancer of Guangdong Hospital of Chinese Medicine from Jan.2018 to Dec.2022 were enrolled. There were 24 men (57.1%) and 18 women (42.9%) aged 58.4±11.8 years and the median BMI was 22.5 (19.3-24.1) kg/m2. The main point of the three-sided encapsulation procedure is to expand the external side medial to the external iliac artery and vein, narrowing the range of exterior side dissection. The anterior-medial side is designed to expand the vesical fascia to define the range of anterior-medial side extension. The internal side is fully extended to the ureterohypogastric nerve fascia; the distal point of the caudal extension reaches the level of the Alcock canal and the bottom reaches the piriformis, enabling dissection of the obturator nerve and No.283 lymph nodes. No.263D lymph nodes are dissected by exposing the internal iliac artery and its branches, dissecting the group No.263P lymph nodes, and severing the inferior vesical artery. Finally, the lateral lymphatic tissue is completely resected. Relevant variables were recorded, including the number of lateral lymph nodes detected, the rate of lymph node metastasis, operation duration, intraoperative blood loss, postoperative complications, postoperative hospital stay, and 3-year overall survival rate. Results: Laparoscopic surgery was successfully completed in all patients with no conversions to open surgery and no intraoperative complications. Twenty-seven (64.3%) of the study patients underwent left-sided LLND, 10 (23.8%) right-sided LLND, and five (11.9%) bilateral LLND, with lymph nodes cleared on both sides. All patients' lymph nodes were examined pathologically. A median of 17.0 (11.7, 26.0) lymph nodes was detected, the median of lateral lymph nodes being 5.0 (2.0, 10.2). The median operation time was 254.5 (199.0, 325.2) minutes. The median intra-operative blood loss was 50.0 (30.0, 100.0) mL. All patients were diagnosed with adenocarcinoma by pathological examination of the operative specimen. Two patients developed postoperative intestinal obstruction, one lymphatic leakage, and one a perineal incision infection. There were no cases of anastomotic leakage. The median postoperative hospital stay was 6.0 (5.0, 7.0) days and the median follow-up time 23.5 (9.0, 36.7) months. During follow-up, three patients (7.1%) died of tumor recurrence and metastasis. Two (4.8%) experienced mild urinary dysfunction, and one (2.4%) had moderate postoperative erectile dysfunction. One patient (2.4%) was found to have prostate and lung metastases 3 month after surgery. The 3-year overall survival rate was 74.4%. Conclusions: Three sided encapsulation is a safe and feasible procedure for LLND, achieving accurate and complete clearance of lateral lymphatic tissue.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitors (DPP-4i) have become firmly established in treatment algorithms and national guidelines for improving glycemic control in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).To report the findings from a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled phase 3 clinical trial, which was designed to assess the efficacy and safety of a novel DPP-4 inhibitor fotagliptin in treatment-naive patients with T2DM. METHODS Patients with T2DM were randomized to receive fotagliptin (n = 230), alogliptin (n = 113) or placebo (n = 115) at a 2:1:1 ratio for 24 weeks of double-blind treatment period, followed by an open-label treatment period, making up a total of 52 weeks. The primary efficacy endpoint was to determine the superiority of fotagliptin over placebo in the change of HbA1c from baseline to Week 24. All serious or significant adverse events were recorded. RESULTS After 24 weeks, mean decreases in HbA1c from baseline were -0.70% for fotagliptin, -0.72% for alogliptin and -0.26% for placebo. Estimated mean treatment differences in HbA1c were -0.44% (95% confidence interval [CI]: -0.62% to -0.27%) for fotagliptin versus placebo, and -0.46% (95% CI: -0.67% to -0.26%) for alogliptin versus placebo, and 0.02% (95%CI: -0.16% to 0.19%; upper limit of 95%CI < margin of 0.4%) for fotagliptin versus alogliptin. So fotagliptin was non-inferior to alogliptin. Compared with subjects with placebo (15.5%), significantly more patients with fotagliptin (37.0%) and alogliptin (35.5%) achieved HbA1c < 7.0% after 24 weeks of treatment. During the whole 52 weeks of treatment, the overall incidence of hypoglycemia was low for both of the fotagliptin and alogliptin groups (1.0% each). No drug-related serious adverse events were observed in any treatment group. CONCLUSIONS In summary, the study demonstrated improvement in glycemic control and a favorable safety profile for fotagliptin in treatment-naive patients with T2DM. Abstract
Fifteen previously undescribed sesquiterpenoids (pogocablenes A-O), three first discovered natural patchoulol-type ones, coupled with fourteen known ones, were isolated from the aerial parts of Pogostemon cablin. Among them, pogocablenes A and B, a pair of C2 epimers, possessed an unusual carbon skeleton with bicyclo[4.3.1]decane core. Pogocablene C, originated from eudesmane-type sesquiterpenoid, had an unprecedented bicyclo[5.4.0]undecane scaffold with a peroxy hemiactetal moiety. Pogocablene D possessed a rare tricyclo[5.2.2.01,5]undecane carbon skeleton derived from guaiane-type sesquiterpenoid. Pogocablene E was a 4,5-seco-guaiane derivative owning a peroxy hemiactetal unit and a spirocyclic skeleton. Pogocablene M was a nor-patchoulol-type sesquiterpenoid with α,β-unsaturated ketone moiety. Their structures with absolute configuration were determined by extensive spectroscopic analysis, in combination with quantum chemical calculation. In addition, the plausible biogenetic pathways of pogocablenes A-E were proposed. Furthermore, all isolates were evaluated for anti-influenza virus and anti-inflammatory effects.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the risk factors associated with the peripheral venous catheter-related complication and infection in children with bronchopneumonia. METHODS A total of 185 patients were divided into case group (n = 114) and control group (n = 71) according to the presence of catheter-related infection and complications related to indwelling needle. We performed a multivariate logistic regression analysis to explore the risk factors associated with the infection. RESULTS Age was divided into 4 categories (0 < age ≤ 1, 1 < age ≤ 3, 3 < age ≤ 6, age > 6). The case group had a higher percentage of patients with 0 < age ≤ 1 than the control group (21% vs. 9.7%) and the age distribution was significant different between the two groups (P = 0.045). The case group had a longer retention time than the control group (≥ 3 days: 56% vs. 35%, P < 0.001). The results of binary logistics regression analysis revealed that the indwelling time and indwelling site were the factors that influenced the complications or bacterial infection. Among the three indwelling sites, the hand is more prone to infection and indwelling needle-related complications than the head (OR: 2.541, 95% CI 1.032 to 6.254, P = 0.042). The longer the indwelling time, the more likely the infection and indwelling needle related complications (OR: 2.646, 95% CI 1.759 to 3.979, P< 0.001). CONCLUSION Indwelling time and indwelling site are the influencing factors of complications or bacterial infection, which should be paid more attention to prevent the catheter-related infection in children with bronchophenumonia.

Abstract
Renying and Cunkou pulse diagnostic method is one of the important parts of the pulse diagnosis in Huangdi Neijing (Inner Canon of Yellow Emperor) and has been controversial since its proposal. This article takes WANG Shu-he's diagnostic operation as the evidence, and is in reference of the statement, "Cun region (the region ahead of Guan region of Cunkou) determines the human life, that on the left hand refers to Renying, while on the right hand is Qikou". The pulse conditions on the left and right hands represent yin and yang. If Renying pulse on the left is greater, the diseases are in yang meridians, while if Cunkou pulse on the right is bustling, the diseases are in yin meridians. By comparing the pulse condition and strength, as well as the pulse beating (rapid and urgent) between Guan region and region ahead of Guan on the same side, the conditions of three yang and three yin meridians are detected. In treatment, based on the records of Renying and Cunkou pulse diagnosis in Huangdi Neijing, the principles are proposed for reinforcing and reducing methods on hand and foot meridians of yin and yang. Five-shu points and yuan-source points are taken as the main acupoints in acupuncture treatment. During treatment, the changes in pulse conditions should be emphasized specifically and those at Renying and Cunkou regions are the criteria for judging qi arrival and qi regulation.

Abstract
As a transfer member at the discontinuous place of vertical load, the deep beam has a complex stress mechanism and many influencing factors, such as compressive strength of concrete, shear span ratio, and reinforcement ratio. At the same time, the stress analysis principle of traditional shallow beams is no longer applicable to the design and calculation of deep-beam structure. The main purpose of this paper was to use the strut-and-tie model to analyze its stress mechanism, and to verify the applicability of the model. Nine high-strength concrete deep-beam specimens with longitudinal reinforcement with an anchor plate of the same size were tested by two-point concentrated loading method. The effects of shear span ratio (0.3, 0.6, and 0.9), longitudinal reinforcement ratio (0.67%, 1.05%, and 1.25%), horizontal reinforcement ratio (0.33%, 0.45%, and 0.50%), and stirrup reinforcement ratio (0.25%, 0.33%, and 0.50%) on the failure mode, deflection curve, characteristic load, crack width, steel bar, and concrete strain of the specimens were analyzed. The results showed that the failure mode of deep-beam specimens was diagonal compression failure. The normal section cracking load was about 15 to 20% of the ultimate load, and the inclined section cracking load was about 30~40% of the ultimate load. The shear span ratio increased from 0.3 to 0.9, and the bearing capacity decreased by 32.9%. When the longitudinal reinforcement ratio increased from 0.67% to 1.25%, the ultimate load increased by 42.6%. The shear span ratio and longitudinal reinforcement ratio have a significant effect on the bearing capacity of the high-strength concrete deep beams with longitudinal reinforcement with an anchor plate. The shear capacity of nine high-strength concrete deep-beam specimens with longitudinal reinforcement with an anchor plate was calculated by national standards, and the results were compared with the calculation results of the Tan-Tang model, the Tan-Cheng model, SSTM, and SSSTM. The analysis showed that the softened strut-and-tie model takes into account the softening effect of compressive concrete, and is a more accurate mechanical model, which can be applied to predict the shear capacity of high-strength concrete deep-beam members with longitudinal reinforcement with an anchor plate.

Abstract
By conjugating a chemotherapeutic candidate drug 4β-NH-(5-aminoindazole)-podophyllotoxin (βIZP) and an immunosuppressive protein galectin-1 targeted aptamer AP74, a chemo-immunotherapy molecule (AP74-βIZP) is developed against liver cancer. AP74-βIZP can target galectin-1 and enrich the tumor microenvironment to improve the tumor inhibition ratio by 6.3%, higher than that of βIZP in a HepG2 xenograft model. In safety evaluation, βIZP cannot be released from AP74-βIZP in normal tissues with low glutathione level. Therefore, the degrees of organs injury and myelosuppression after the treatment with AP74-βIZP are lower than those with βIZP. After 21 d treatment at a drug dose of 5 mg kg-1 , AP74-βIZP does not cause weight loss in mice, while the weight is significantly reduced by 24% and 14% from oxaliplatin and βIZP, respectively. In immune synergy, AP74-IZP enhances CD4/CD8 cell infiltration to promote the expression of cell factor (i.e., IL-2, TNF-α, and IFN-γ), which further improves the antitumor activity. The tumor inhibition ratio of AP74-βIZP is 70.2%, which is higher than that of AP74 (35.2%) and βIZP (48.8%). Because of the dual effects of chemotherapy and immunotherapy, AP74-βIZP exhibits superior activity and lower toxicity. The approach developed in this work could be applicable to other chemotherapy drugs.

Abstract
The antitumor efficacy of Chinese herbal medicines has been widely recognized. Leading compounds such as sterols, glycosides, flavonoids, alkaloids, terpenoids, phenylpropanoids, and polyketides constitute their complex active components. The antitumor monomers derived from Chinese medicine possess an attractive anticancer activity. However, their use was limited by low bioavailability, significant toxicity, and side effects, hindering their clinical applications. Recently, new chemical entities have been designed and synthesized by combining natural drugs with other small drug molecules or active moieties to improve the antitumor activity and selectivity, and reduce side effects. Such a novel conjugated drug that can interact with several vital biological targets in cells may have a more significant or synergistic anticancer activity than a single-molecule drug. In addition, antitumor conjugates could be obtained by combining pharmacophores containing two or more known drugs or leading compounds. Based on these studies, the new drug research and development could be greatly shortened. This study reviews the research progress of conjugates with antitumor activity based on Chinese herbal medicine. It is expected to serve as a valuable reference to antitumor drug research and clinical application of traditional Chinese medicine.

Abstract
The quality of moxa is a key factor affecting the efficacy of moxibustion. Traditional moxa grades are evaluated by the leaf-to-moxa ratio, but there is a lack of support from scientific data. Scanning electron microscopy(SEM), Image Pro Plus, Van Soest method, and stimultaneous thermal analysis(TGA/DSC) were used to characterize the scientific implication of the combustion differences between moxa with different leaf-to-moxa ratios(processed by crusher). The results showed that the median lengths from non-secretory trichomes(NSTs) of natural NSTs and moxa with leaf-to-moxa ratios of 3∶1, 5∶1, 10∶1, and 15∶1 were 542.46, 303.24, 291.18, 220.69, and 170.61 μm, respectively. The cellulose content of moxa increased significantly(P<0.05) with the increase in leaf-to-moxa ratio and the combustion parameters(T_i, t_i, D_i, C,-R_p,-R_v, S, D_b, and J_(total)) all showed an increasing trend. The correlation results showed that the burning properties of moxa(T_i,-R_v, t_i, and J_2) were significantly and positively correlated with cellulose content. NSTs with a length of 1-200 μm were significantly and positively correlated with J_2. NSTs with a length of 200-600 μm were significantly and positively correlated with J_1, T_(peak2), T_(peak1), and-R_v, and negatively correlated with J_(total), T_b, and t_b. As the leaf-to-moxa ratio increases, the NSTs in the moxa become shorter and the cellulose content increases, which is more conducive to ignition performance, heat release, and a milder, longer-lasting burn. The "NSTs-cellulose-TGA/DSC" quantitative evaluation method scientifically reveals the scientific connotation of the combustion of moxa with different leaf-to-moxa ratios and provides a scientific basis for the establishment of quality evaluation methods for moxa with different leaf-to-moxa ratios.

Abstract
Objective To compare the efficiency of 68Ga-labeled prostate-specific membrane antigen (68Ga-PSMA-11) and 18F-labeled sodium fluoride (18F-NaF) PET/CT in the diagnosis of bone metastasis in the patients with prostate cancer.Methods The prostate cancer patients suspected of bone metastasis who underwent 68Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT and 18F-NaF PET/CT from January 2018 to January 2021 were included in this study.The number of lesions,maximum standardized uptake value (SUVmax),and tumor-to-background (T/B) ratio were compared between the two methods.Results 18F-NaF PET/CT detected more metastases than 68Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT (310 vs.264,P<0.001).The median SUVmax[23.2 (16.4,33.4) vs.4.1 (2.5,5.6)] and median T/B ratio[7.0 (4.9,9.9) vs.6.7 (3.7,9.6)] of 18F-NaF PET/CT were higher than those of 68Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT (all P<0.001).With the number of lesions as the indicator,the sensitivity,specificity,accuracy,positive predictive value,and negative predictive value of 18F-NaF PET/CT were 100.0%,92.0%,92.0%,98.7%,and 100.0% respectively,and those of 68Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT were 85.2%,94.0%,79.2%,98.9%,and 50.5%,respectively.Conclusion 18F-NaF PET/CT is superior to 68Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT in the detection of bone metastases of prostate cancer.

Abstract
According to the shear capacity test results of six steel-fiber-reinforced high-strength concrete (SFHSC) corbels with welded-anchorage longitudinal reinforcement under concentrated load, the effects of shear span ratio and steel fiber volume fraction on the failure mode, cracking load and ultimate load of corbel specimens were analyzed. On the basis of experimental research, the shear transfer mechanism of corbel structure was discussed. Then, a modified softened strut-and-tie model (MSSTM), composed of the diagonal and horizontal mechanisms, was proposed, for steel-fiber-reinforced high-strength concrete corbels. The contributions of concrete, steel fiber and horizontal stirrups to the shear bearing capacity of the corbels were clarified. A calculation method for the shear bearing capacity of steel-fiber-reinforced high-strength concrete corbels was established and was simplified on this basis. The calculation results of the model were compared with the test values and calculation results of the GB50010-2010 code, the ACI318-19 code, the EN 1992-1-1 code and the CSA A23.3-19 code. The results showed that the concrete corbel with small shear span ratio mainly has two typical failure modes: shear failure and diagonal compression failure. With the increase in shear span ratio, the shear capacity of corbels decreases. Steel fiber can improve the ductility of a reinforced concrete corbel, but has little effect on the failure mode of the diagonal section. The calculated values of the national codes were lower than the experimental values, and the results were conservative. The theoretical calculation values of the shear capacity calculation model of the corbels were close to the experimental results. In addition, the model has a clear mechanical concept considering the tensile properties of steel-fiber-reinforced high-strength concrete and the influence of horizontal stirrups, which can reasonably reflect the shear transfer mechanism of corbels.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate low-frequency fluctuation amplitude changes in resting-state brain fMRI and its correlation with clinical hearing levels in patients with clinical hearing level in patients with unilateral hearing impairment. Methods: Forty-five patients with unilateral hearing impairment[12 males and 33 females, aged 36-67 (46.0±9.7) years], and 31 controls with normal hearing[9 males and 22 females, aged 36-67 (46.0±10.1) years], were retrospectively included. All subjects underwent blood oxygen level-dependent (BOLD) resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging and high-resolution T1-weighted imaging. The patients were divided into the left-sided hearing impaired group(24 cases), and the right-sided hearing impaired group(21 cases). After data being preprocessed, differences in low frequency amplitude (ALFF) metrics between the evaluated patients and controls were calculated and analyzed, and the statistics were corrected for Gaussian random field (GFR). Results: Overall comparative analysis of patients with hearing impairment showed that one-way ANOVA among the three groups showed abnormal ALFF values only in the right anterior cuneiform lobe (GRF adjusted P=0.002). The ALFF value of the hearing impaired group was higher than that of the control group in one cluster (peak coordinates: X=9, Y=-72, Z=48, T=5.82), involving the left occipital gyrus, right anterior cuneiform lobe, left superior cuneiform lobe, left superior parietal gyrus, and left angular gyrus (GRF adjusted P=0.031). The ALFF value of the hearing impaired group was lower than that of the control group in three clusters (peak coordinates: X=57, Y=-48, Z=-24; T=-4.99; X=45, Y=-66, Z=0, T=-4.06; X=42, Y=-12, Z=36, T=-4.03), involving the right inferior temporal gyrus, the right middle temporal gyrus, and the right precentral gyrus (GRF adjusted P=0.009). Compared with the control group, the ALFF value of the left hearing impairment group was significantly higher than that of the control group in one cluster (peak coordinates: X=-12, Y=-75, Z=45, T=5.78), involving the left anterior cuneiform lobe, right anterior cuneiform lobe, left middle occipital gyrus, left superior parietal gyrus, left superior occipital gyrus, left cuneiform lobe, and right cuneiform lobe (P=0.023 after GRF correction). Compared with the control group, the right hearing impairment group had a significantly higher ALFF value in one cluster (peak coordinates: X=9, Y=-46, Z=22, T=6.06), involving the left middle occipital gyrus, right anterior cuneiform lobe, left cuneiform lobe, right cuneiform lobe, left superior occipital gyrus, and right superior occipital gyrus (GRF adjusted P=0.022); The brain area with reduced ALFF values is located in the right inferior temporal gyrus (GRF adjusted P=0.029). Spearman's two-tailed correlation analysis between ALFF values and pure tone average in the abnormal brain regions showed that ALFF values in the abnormal brain regions correlated to some extent with the pure tone average (PTA) only in the left-sided hearing impaired group(PTA=2 000 Hz, r=0.318,P=0.033;PTA=4 000 Hz,r=0.386,P=0.009). Conclusion: The abnormal neural activity within the brain are different in patients with left-sided and right-sided hearing impairment, and the severity of hearing impairment is related to the difference in functional integration of brain regions.

Abstract
Objectives: The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of narrative therapy in reducing work pressure and improving health behavior among clinical and anesthesia frontline nurses. Methods: We used convenience sampling to select clinical and anesthesiology department nurses from hospitals between May 2019 and May 2021. We used a nursing knowledge-attitude-behavior questionnaire to assess the status of nurses and assess the effectiveness of the narrative therapy intervention. We analyzed our data using SPSS and Smart PLS. Results: We found statistically significant differences in scores on the Competence Scale (NCS) and the Nursing Caring Characters Assessment Tool (NCCAT) (p<.05). The average scores of items in each dimension of clinical and anesthesiology department narrative nursing knowledge and behavior were: knowledge score (3.67±0.52), attitude score (5.48±0.62), and behavior score (4.74±0.77). Conclusion: The ADDIE-based narrative nursing training program improved nurses' narrative nursing ability and humanistic care quality, reducing work pressure and promoting health behavior. These findings highlight the importance of narrative therapy in clinical practice for frontline nurses.

Abstract
Forsythia koreana Nakai is an ornamental plant widely cultivated in East Asia. The essential oil of F. koreana flowers (FEO) was extracted by hydrodistillation process and the volatile components were determined with gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry. The anti-inflammatory activity of FEO was investigated by using TPA-induced mouse ear inflammation model. The major components of FEO were identified as n-tetracosane (29.85%), n-heneicosane (17.45%), myristic acid (8.46%) and palmitaldehyde (6.22%). The TPA-induced mouse ear edema, water content, dermis thickness, epidermis thickness and nitric oxide production were decreased by FEO. Our findings suppose that the flower essential oil of F. koreana exerted anti-inflammatory activity, and may be used in the development of anti-inflammatory products in future.

Abstract
Objective To investigate the causes of false-positive results in the 68Ga-labeled fibroblast activation protein inhibitor (68Ga-FAPI-04) PET/CT imaging. Methods The imaging data of 547 patients undergoing 68Ga-FAPI-04 PET/CT examination in the Department of Nuclear Medicine of the Affiliated Hospital of Southwest Medical University from September 2020 to May 2021 were retrospectively collected.Two experienced nuclear medicine diagnostic physicians analyzed the clinical data,relevant imaging examinations,laboratory examinations,pathological results and follow-up results of the patients with false-positive results. Results The 68Ga-FAPI-04 PET/CT imaging of 547 patients showed false-positive results in 99 (18.1%) patients,including 56 males and 43 females.The postoperative pathological examination confirmed false-positive results in 13 patients,including 1 patient of thyroiditis,2 patients of pulmonary tuberculosis,1 patient of bone tuberculosis,2 patients of pulmonary inflammatory pseudotumor,1 patient of pulmonary sarcoidosis,1 patient of pulmonary benign fibroma,1 patient of organic pneumonia,2 patients of renal angiomyolipoma,1 patient of mass pancreatitis,and 1 patient of pancreatic mucinous cystadenoma.The medical history,relevant imaging examination,and long-term follow-up confirmed false-positive results in 86 patients.Specifically,the false-positive uptake in the neck,chest,abdomen,bone joint,and skin occurred in 8 (9.3%),13 (15.1%),5 (5.8%),57 (66.3%),and 3 (3.5%) patients,respectively.Inflammation-related uptake appeared in 83 (83.8%) patients with false-positive imaging results,of which arthritis (23 patients) and osteophyte (29 patients) were the most common.Sixteen (16.2%) patients showed the false-positive uptake related to fibroblasts. Conclusion 68Ga-FAPI-04 PET/CT imaging will show non-malignant tumor false-positive results,which are mainly associated with inflammation and fibroblasts.

Abstract
Objective This study was aimed to explore the role of AhR in the neurotoxicity of adult zebrafish induced by three typical bisphenol compounds (BPA, BPS, TBBPA) at environmentally relevant doses. Methods The adult zebrafish were randomly divided into solvent control group (DMSO) and AhR inhibitor CH223191 (CH) group (0.05 μmol/L), bisphenol exposure groups (10, 100, 1000 nmol/L) and combined exposure groups (0.05 μmol/L CH and 1000 nmol/L bisphenol compounds). Each tank contained 8 fish (4 male and 4 female), and two parallel tanks were set synchronously. After 30 days of exposure, zebrafish were put on ice plate for anesthesia, weighed and measured for body length, and dissected for brain tissue. The gene expression was detected by RT-qPCR, and the activities of antioxidant enzymes were detected by commercial kits. SPSS 26.0 was used to analyze the data. Additionally, GO, KEGG and principal component analysis (PCA) were carried out. Results Compared with the solvent control group, there were no significant differences in body weight and length among the exposed groups. In general, exposure to bisphenol compounds could affect the expression of Ahr2 and AhR target genes (cyp1a1, cyp1a2, and cyp1c1), key genes of neural function (elavl3, gfap, mbp, syn2a, gap43, Zn5, shha, and ache), oxidative stress related genes (nrf2, gpx1a, gstp1/gstp1.2, gstp2/gstp1.1, sod1, sod2, and cat), and the activities of antioxidant enzymes (SOD, CAT and GSH-Px/GPX) in zebrafish brain tissue to some extent. Compared with the groups exposed to bisphenols alone, CH could antagonize the above interference effects caused by bisphenols to some extent. Therefore, the toxic effects of BPA, BPS and TBBPA might be produced through similar mechanisms. Conclusion Environmentally related doses of bisphenols (BPA, BPS, TBBPA) could disturb the expression of key molecules of oxidative stress and neural function through activating the AhR signaling pathway, and ultimately lead to neurotoxicity.

Abstract
The present study aimed to investigate the effect of various adjuvant rice on the quality of rice-steamed Rehmanniae Radix(RSRR) with Japonica rice, millet, yellow rice, black rice, and glutinous rice as raw materials, and analyze the anti-osteoporosis effect of RSRR by the optimal adjuvant rice. On the basis of the established UPLC-MS/MS method for the determination of the content of catalpol and rehmannioside D, comprehensive weighted scoring method was employed to evaluate the effect of various auxiliary rice on the quality of RSRR with the content of catalpol and rehmannioside D, character score, and taste score as indicators to optimize adjuvant rice. The osteoporosis model was induced by ovariectomy in rats. SD rats were randomly divided into a sham operation group, a model group, a positive control group, and low-dose and high-dose groups of Rehmanniae Radix, RSRR, steamed Rehmanniae Radix, and Epimedii Folium-RSRR. After treatment for 12 weeks, body weight, bone calcium content, and bone mineral density were mea-sured. The results showed that Japonica rice was selected as the optimal adjuvant due to the highest comprehensive score of RSRR steamed by Japonica rice. Rehmanniae Radix, RSRR, steamed Rehmanniae Radix, as well as Epimedii Folium-RSRR, could improve osteoporosis by increasing bone calcium content and bone mineral density. RSRR was superior to Rehmanniae Radix in improving osteo-porosis. However, there was no significant difference between RSRR and steamed Rehmanniae Radix. This study confirmed that Japo-nica rice was the optimal adjuvant rice of RSRR and verified the anti-osteoporosis effect of RSRR, which laid a foundation for further research on the pharmacological action and mechanism of RSRR.

Abstract
Epilepsy is a chronic brain disease and often occurs suddenly for no reason. Eucommiae folium (EF), an edible herb, can be used in the treatment of various kinds of brain diseases in clinic. From the perspective of safety and efficacy, EF is especially suitable for the treatment of chronic brain diseases. With the help of biolabels, this study was aimed to explore the value and feasibility of EF in the treatment of epilepsy. Proteomics and metabolomics were used to explore the biolabels of EF intervention in brain tissues. Bioinformatics was then applied to topologically analyze its neuroprotective effects and mechanisms and material basis based on biolabels, which were validated in an animal model. The biolabel-led research revealed that EF may exert the therapeutic potential to treat brain diseases through the interaction between multiple compounds and multiple targets, among which its therapeutic potential for epilepsy is particularly prominent. In the pentylenetetrazole-induction model, EF and four active compounds (oleamide, catechol, chlorogenic acid, and kaempferol) protected epileptic hippocampal neurons (Nissl and FJB staining) against mitochondrial dysfunction (MYH6, MYL3, and MYBPC3, etc.) and calcium overload (TNNI3, TNNC1, and TNNT2, etc.) through the hypertrophic cardiomyopathy pathway. This study provides new evidence and insights for the neuroprotective effects of EF, in which four active compounds may be potential drug candidates for the treatment of epilepsy.

Abstract
As short cantilever members, corbels are mainly used to transfer eccentric loads to columns. Because of the discontinuity of load and geometric structure, corbels cannot be analyzed and designed using the method based on beam theory. Nine steel-fiber-reinforced high-strength concrete (SFRHSC) corbels were tested. The width of the corbels was 200 mm, the cross-section height of the corbel column was 450 mm, and the cantilever end height was 200 mm. The shear span/depth ratios considered were 0.2, 0.3, and 0.4; the longitudinal reinforcement ratios were 0.55%, 0.75%, and 0.98%; the stirrup reinforcement ratios were 0.39%, 0.52%, and 0.785%; and the steel fiber volume ratios were 0, 0.75%, and 1.5%. According to the test results, this paper discusses the failure process and failure mode of corbel specimens with a small shear span/depth ratio and analyzes the effects of variables such as shear span/depth ratio, longitudinal reinforcement ratio, stirrup reinforcement ratio, and steel fiber volume content on the shear capacity of corbels. The shear capacity of corbels is significantly affected by the shear span/depth ratio, followed by the longitudinal reinforcement ratio and the stirrup reinforcement ratio. Moreover, it is shown that steel fibers have little impact on the failure mode and ultimate load of corbels, but can enhance the crack resistance of corbels. In addition, the bearing capacities of these corbels were calculated by Chinese code GB 50010-2010 and further compared with ACI 318-19 code, EN 1992-1-1:2004 code, and CSA A23.3-19 code, which adopt the strut-and-tie model. The results indicate that the calculation results by the empirical formula in the Chinese code are close to the corresponding test results, while the calculation method based on the strut-and-tie model of a clear mechanical concept yields conservative results, and hence the related parameter values must be further modified.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the predictive factors for bronchitis obliterans in refractory Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia (RMPP). Methods: A restrospective case summary was conducted 230 patients with RMPP admitted to the Department of No.2 Respiratory Medicine of Beijing Children's Hospital, Capital Medical University from January 2013 to June 2017 were recruited. Clinical data, laboratory results, imaging results and follow-up data were collected. Based on bronchoscopy and imaging findings 1 year after discharge, all patients were divided into two groups: one group had sequelae of bronchitis obliterans (sequelae group) and the other group had not bronchitis obliterans (control group), independent sample t-test and nonparametric test were used to compare the differences in clinical features between the two groups. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve to explore the predictive value of Bronchitis Obliterans in RMPP. Results: Among 230 RMPP children, there were 115 males and 115 females, 95 cases had sequelae group, the age of disease onset was (7.1±2.8) years;135 cases had control group, the age of disease onset was (6.8±2.7) years. The duration of fever, C-reative protein (CRP) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) levels, the proportion of ≥2/3 lobe consolidation, pleural effusion and the proportion of airway mucus plug and mucosal necrosis were longer or higher in the sequelae group than those in the control group ((17±9) vs. (12±3) d, (193±59) vs. (98±42) mg/L,730 (660, 814) vs. 486 (452, 522) U/L, 89 cases (93.7%) vs. 73 cases (54.1%), 73 cases (76.8%) vs.59 cases (43.7%), 81 cases (85.3%) vs. 20 cases (14.8%), 67 cases (70.5%) vs. 9 cases (6.7%), t=5.76, 13.35, Z=-6.41, χ2=14.64, 25.04, 22.85, 102.78, all P<0.001). Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that the duration of fever ≥10 days (OR=1.200, 95%CI 1.014-1.419), CRP levels increased (OR=1.033, 95%CI 1.022-1.044) and LDH levels increased (OR=1.001, 95%CI 1.000-1.003) were the risk factors for sequelae of bronchitis obliterans in RMPP. ROC curve analysis showed that CRP 137 mg/L had a sensitivity of 82.1% and a specificity of 80.1%; LDH 471 U/L had a sensitivity of 62.7% and a specificity of 60.3% for predicting the development of bronchitis obliterans. Conclusions: The long duration of fever (≥10 d), CRP increase (≥137 mg/L) may be used to predict the occurrence of sequelae of bronchitis obliterans in RMPP. It is helpful for early recognition of risk children.

Abstract
Based on the biolabel research pattern, omics and network pharmacology were used for exploring the neuroprotection of Sophora tonkinensis (ST) in the treatment of brain diseases. Multi-omics were applied to investigate biolabels for ST intervention in brain tissue. Based on biolabels, the therapeutic potential, mechanism and material basis of ST for treating brain diseases were topologically analyzed by network pharmacology. A Parkinson's disease (PD) mouse model was used to validate biolabel analysis results. Four proteins and three metabolites were involved in two key pathways (alanine, aspartate and glutamate metabolism and arginine biosynthesis) and considered as biolabels. Network pharmacology showed that ST has the potential to treat some brain diseases, especially PD. Eight compounds (including caffeic acid, gallic acid and cinnamic acid) may serve as the material basis of ST treating brain diseases via the mediation of three biolabels. In the PD model, ST and its active compounds (caffeic acid and gallic acid) may protect dopaminergic neurons (maximum recovery rate for dopamine, 49.5%) from oxidative stress (E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase parkin, reactive oxygen species, nitric oxide, etc.) and neuroexcitatory toxicity (glutamate dehydrogenase, glutamine, glutamic acid, etc.). These findings indicated that omics and network pharmacology may contribute to the achievement of the objectives of this study based on the biolabel research pattern.

Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the effects of perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS) exposure on glucose-stimulated insulin secretion (GSIS) of rat insulinoma (INS-1) cells and the potential protective effects of procyanidins (PC). The effects of PFOS and/or PC on GSIS of INS-1 cells were investigated after 48 h of exposure (protein level: insulin; gene level: glucose transporter 2 (Glut2), glucokinase (Gck), and insulin). Subsequently, the effects of exposure on the intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) activity were measured. Compared to the control group, PFOS exposure (12.5, 25, and 50 μM) for 48 h had no significant effect on the viability of INS-1 cells. PFOS exposure (50 μM) could reduce the level of insulin secretion and reduce the relative mRNA expression levels of Glut2, Gck, and insulin. It is worth noting that PC could partially reverse the damaging effect caused by PFOS. Significantly, there was an increase in ROS after exposure to PFOS and a decline after PC intervention. PFOS could affect the normal physiological function of GSIS in INS-1 cells. PC, a plant natural product, could effectively alleviate the damage caused by PFOS by inhibiting ROS activity.

Abstract
A rapid and accurate diagnostic modality is essential to prevent the spread of SARS-CoV-2. In this study, we proposed a SARS-CoV-2 detection sensor based on surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) to achieve rapid and ultrasensitive detection. The sensor utilized spike protein deoxyribonucleic acid aptamers with strong affinity as the recognition entity to achieve high specificity. The spherical cocktail aptamers-gold nanoparticles (SCAP) SERS substrate was used as the base and Au nanoparticles modified with the Raman reporter molecule that resonates with the excitation light and spike protein aptamers were used as the SERS nanoprobe. The SCAP substrate and SERS nanoprobes were used to target and capture the SARS-CoV-2 S protein to form a sandwich structure on the Au film substrate, which can generate ultra-strong "hot spots" to achieve ultrasensitive detection. Analysis of SARS-CoV-2 S protein was performed by monitoring changes in SERS peak intensity on a SCAP SERS substrate-based detection platform. This assay detects S protein with a LOD of less than 0.7 fg mL-1 and pseudovirus as low as 0.8 TU mL-1 in about 12 min. The results of the simulated oropharyngeal swab system in this study indicated the possibility of it being used for clinical detection, providing a potential option for rapid and accurate diagnosis and more effective control of SARS-CoV-2 transmission.

Abstract
Twenty-six iridoids, including six undescribed ones (iridoidvols A-F) and an undescribed natural one, along with ten known sesquiterpenoids were isolated from the roots and rhizomes of Valeriana officinalis. Structurally, iridoidvol A is the first example of iridoid with sesquiterpenoid acid ester. In addition, all of the isolates were evaluated for anti-inflammatory and anti-influenza virus activities. Among them, isovaltrate isovaleroyloxyhydrin exhibited a significant inhibitory effect on NO production with an IC50 value of 19.00 μM.

Abstract
A Gram-negative, aerobic, rod-shaped, motile bacterium with multi-flagella, strain RST, was isolated from bacterial wilt of tobacco in Yuxi city of Yunnan province, China. The strain contains the major fatty acids of C16:0, summed feature 3 (C16:1 ω7c and/or C16:1 ω6c), and summed feature 8 (C18:1 ω7c and/or C18:1 ω6c). The polar lipid profile of strain RST consists of diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylethanolamine, and unidentified aminophospholipid. Strain RST contains ubiquinones Q-7 and Q-8. 16S rRNA gene sequence (1,407 bp) analysis showed that strain RST is closely related to members of the genus Ralstonia and shares the highest sequence identities with R. pseudosolanacearum LMG 9673T (99.50%), R. syzygii subsp. indonesiensis LMG 27703T (99.50%), R. solanacearum LMG 2299T (99.28%), and R. syzygii subsp. celebesensis LMG 27706T (99.21%). The 16S rRNA gene sequence identities between strain RST and other members of the genus Ralstonia were below 98.00%. Genome sequencing yielded a genome size of 5.61 Mbp and a G + C content of 67.1 mol%. The genomic comparison showed average nucleotide identity (ANIb) values between strain RST and R. pseudosolanacearum LMG 9673T, R. solanacearum LMG 2299T, and R. syzygii subsp. indonesiensis UQRS 627T of 95.23, 89.43, and 91.41%, respectively, and the corresponding digital DNA-DNA hybridization (dDDH) values (yielded by formula 2) were 66.20, 44.80, and 47.50%, respectively. In addition, strains belonging to R. solanacearum phylotype I shared both ANIb and dDDH with strain RST above the species cut-off values of 96 and 70%, respectively. The ANIb and dDDH values between the genome sequences from 12 strains of R. solanacearum phylotype III (Current R. pseudosolanacearum) and those of strain RST were below the species cut-off values. Based on these data, we concluded that strains of phylotype I, including RST, represent a novel species of the genus Ralstonia, for which the name Ralstonia nicotianae sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain of Ralstonia nicotianae sp. nov. is RST (=GDMCC 1.3533T = JCM 35814T).

Abstract
A new acylated iridoid, valejatadoid H (1), along with fourteen known compounds, were obtained from the n-BuOH extract of the roots and rhizomes of Valeriana jatamansi, and their structures were elucidated by various spectroscopic methods. Among them, compounds 8, 11 and 13 exhibited potent inhibition on NO production, with IC50 values of 4.21, 6.08 and 20.36 μM, respectively. In addition, compounds 14 and 15 showed anti-influenza virus activities, among which compound 14 exhibited significant effect with an IC50 value of 0.99 μM.

Abstract
Benzophenone-type UV filters (BPs) are ubiquitous contaminants in aquatic environments, possibly posing ecological risks to aquatic populations. So far, little is known about the potential adverse effects of BPs on amphibians. Given their potential estrogenic property, we investigated the detrimental effects of the commonly used BPs, BP-3, BP-2, and BP-1, on testis development in amphibians using Xenopus laevis as a model species. Following exposure to 10, 100, 1000 nM BP-3, BP-2, or BP-1 from stages 45/46 to 52, tadpoles presented morphological abnormal testes, characterized by reduced gonomere size and testis area, coupled with suppressed cell proliferation. Meanwhile, the downregulation of testis-biased gene expression and the upregulation of ovary-biased gene expression were observed in BPs-treated testes. Moreover, the estrogen receptor (ER) antagonist ICI 182780 significantly antagonized ovary-biased gene upregulation caused by BPs, suggesting that the effects of BPs on testis differentiation could be mediated by ER, at least partially. Of note, the effects of BPs were not concentration-dependent, but the lowest concentration generally exerted significant effects. Altogether, these observations indicate that the three BPs inhibited testis differentiation and exerted feminizing effects. Importantly, when BP-2 exposure was extended to two months post-metamorphosis, testes of froglets were generally less-developed, with relatively fewer spermatocytes, more spermatogonia, and poorly formed seminiferous tubules. Considering the fact that the lowest concentration (10 nM) of BPs in this study are detectable in aquatic environments, we conclude that BP-3, BP-2, and BP-1, even at environmentally relevant concentrations, can retard testis differentiation at pre-metamorphic stages and cause testis dysgenesis after metamorphosis in the amphibian X. laevis. Our findings suggest that ubiquitous BPs in aquatic environments could pose a potential risk to amphibians.

Abstract
Four new magnolol derivatives were synthesized and evaluated for their in vitro anti-cancer properties. Among these, compound 3 showed the most potent cytotoxic activity against the SMMC-7721, SUN-449, and HepG2 human hepatocellular carcinoma cell lines, with IC50 values of 3.39, 4.11, and 6.88 µM, respectively. Compound 3 also induced apoptosis of SMMC-7721 cells by down-regulating Bcl-2 and Akt protein levels, up-regulating of Bax protein level, and cleaving caspase-9 and -3. In addition, transwell assays showed that compound 3 significantly suppressed the migration and invasion of SMMC-7721 cells, which was confirmed based on the down-regulation of hypoxia inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α), matrix metalloproteinase-2 and -9 (MMP-2, and MMP-9) protein levels.

Abstract
Six undescribed triterpenoids (euphokanols A-F), two undescribed C21-steroidal glycosides (euphokanosides A and B), together with fifty-four known compounds were isolated from the roots of Euphorbia kansui. Their structures were demonstrated by extensive spectroscopic data (1D, 2D NMR and HR-ESI-MS), and the absolute configuration of euphokanol A was elucidated based on electronic circular dichroism (ECD) calculation. Among them, euphokanol A was a tetracyclic triterpenoid with a 5,10-epoxy moiety and concurrent rearrangement of Me-19(10 → 9) and Me-30 (14 → 8), while euphokanols B and C were rare 19(10 → 9) abeo-tirucallane-type triterpenoids with Δ5(10) double bonds and 7,8-epoxy moieties. In addition, ten C21-steroidal glycosides were isolated from Euphorbia plants for the first time. Moreover, cynotophylloside B, caudatin, 5α,8α-epidioxy-22E-ergosta-6,22-diene-3β-ol, 6β,7β-epoxy-3β,4β,5β-trihydroxyl-20-deoxyingenol, 13-hydroxyingenol-3-(2,3- dimethylbutanoate)-13-dodecanoate, ingenol, 3-O-benzoyl-13-O-dodecanoateingenol, 3-O-(2'E,4'Z-decadienoyl)-20-O-acetylingenol, 20-O-acetylingenol and 20- deoxyingenol exhibited significant inhibition on NO production with IC50 values of 9.10, 17.38, 1.71, 0.55, 0.57, 12.22, 0.56, 0.30, 11.21 and 2.98 μM, respectively. Furthermore, wilfoside KIN, cynsaccatol L, kanesulone A, and 3β,7β,15β-triacetyloxy-5α-benzoyloxy-2α,8α-dihydroxyjatropha-6(17),11E-diene-9, 14-dione showed cytotoxicity against HepG2 cell line, with IC50 values of 12.55, 12.61, 18.24 and 18.26 μM, respectively. 13-Hydroxyingenol-3-(2,3-dimethylbutanoate)-13- dodecanoate exhibited anti-proliferation activity on MCF-7 cell line with an IC50 value of 17.12 μM. Specifically, euphol selectively inhibited the growth of human glioma stem cells (GSC-3# and GSC-12#), with IC50 values of 8.89 and 13.00 μM, respectively.

Abstract
Objective: To systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of different doses of antiviral drugs in the treatment of herpes zoster. Methods: PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, VIP, CNKI and WanFang database up to April 9, 2022 were searched. Two reviewers selected the studies according to inclusion and exclusion criteria, and the Cochrane bias risk assessment tool was used for quality evaluation. Data were analyzed by Revman 5.4 software for meta-analysis. The qualitative data used relative risk (RR) as the effect index, and the quantitative data used mean difference (MD) as the effect index. The point estimates and 95%CI of each effect were given. Results: Fourteen randomized controlled trials with 1 831 patients were included in the study. Compared with the 200 mg acyclovir with five times a day, the 800 mg can improve the effective rate, shorten the blister stopping time (MD=-1.29, 95%CI:-1.62- -0.96, P<0.001), relieve the pain faster (MD=-2.73, 95%CI:-4.37- -1.09, P=0.001), shorten the scabbing time (MD=-2.42, 95%CI:-2.96- -1.89, P<0.001) without increasing the adverse reaction rate (RR=1.64, 95%CI:0.80-3.36, P=0.17); Compared with the 300 mg valaciclovir with twice daily, the 900-1 000 mg valaciclovir with three times a day can improve the effective rate(RR=1.17, 95%CI:1.04-1.32, P=0.007), shorten the blister stopping time (MD=-1.53, 95%CI:-2.54- -0.51, P=0.003), relieve the pain faster (MD=-1.04, 95%CI:-1.30- -0.77, P<0.001), shorten the scabbing time (MD=-1.78, 95%CI:-2.80- -0.76, P<0.001), reduce the incidence of postherpetic neuralgia(RR=0.28, 95%CI:0.15-0.52, P<0.001) without increasing the adverse reaction rate (RR=1.47, 95%CI:0.93-2.32, P=0.10); In immunocompromised patients, compared with 1 000 mg valaciclovir with three times a day, 2 000 mg cannot significantly improve the treatment efficacy. There was no significant difference among the efficacy of 250 mg, 500 mg and 750 mg famciclovir, three times a day, in the treatment of herpes zoster. Conclusion: The 800 mg acyclovir with five times a day; 900-1 000 mg valaciclovir and 250 mg famciclovir with three times a day, are better choices in the treatment of herpes zoster.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the clinical features and risk factors of herpes zoster and the risk factors of postherpetic neuralgia (PHN). Methods: A total of 2 840 patients diagnosed with herpes zoster in Peking University People's Hospital from January 2021 to April 2022 were included. The patients with herpes zoster were aged (59±16), and of which 1 314 (46.3%) patients were male. The patients were divided into PHN group and non-PHN group according to whether the patients with herpes zoster developed PHN. And there were 442 (15.6%) patients developed PHN aged (68±12), and of which 189 (42.8%) were male. The information and medical history of PHN group and non-PHN group were collected. The information of the use of glucocorticoids, immunosuppressive agents, biological agents and targeted medicine within 2 months before herpes zoster occurred, history of surgery within 6 months before herpes zoster occurred, and the duration of PHN were collected. Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the risk factors of PHN. Results: Out of 2 840 patients, 2 056 (72.4%) with herpes zoster aged 50 years and above. Intercostal nerves was mostly involved in patients with herpes zoster, with a total of 1 532(53.9%). Hypertension (465 cases, 16.4%) accounted for the highest number of patients with chronic diseases, followed by diabetes (337 cases, 11.9%) and coronary heart disease (283 cases, 10.0%). Rheumatoid arthritis (41 cases, 1.4%) accounted for the highest number of patients with connective tissue diseases, followed by Sjogren's syndrome (31 cases, 1.1%), systemic lupus erythematosus (28 cases, 1.0%). Logistic regression analysis showed that age≥50 years old (OR: 4.581; 95%CI: 3.131-6.705),lesion on the upper limb and shoulder (OR: 1.858; 95%CI: 1.129-3.059), hypertension (OR: 1.963; 95%CI: 1.513-2.546) and immunosuppressive treatments (OR: 2.170; 95%CI: 1.254-3.753) were independent risk factors for PHN (all P<0.05). Conclusions: Herpes zoster mostly occurs in people aged 50 and above, and mainly affected intercostal nerves. The most common complications are hypertension and rheumatoid arthritis. Age≥50, lesion on upper limbs and shoulders, hypertension, and immunosuppressive treatments may be independent risk factors of PHN.

Abstract
Standardized treatment guidelines and effective drugs are not available for human triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). Many efforts have recently been exerted to investigate the efficacy of natural compounds as anticancer agents owing to their low toxicity. However, no study has examined the effects of isobavachalcone (IBC) on the programmed cell death (PCD) of human triple-negative breast MDA-MB-231 cancer cells. In this study, IBC substantially inhibited the proliferation of MDA-MB-231 cells in concentration- and time-dependent manners. In addition, we found that IBC induced multiple cell death processes, such as apoptosis, necroptosis, and autophagy in MDA-MB-231 cells. The initial mechanism of IBC-mediated cell death in MDA-MB-231 cells involves the downregulation of Akt and p-Akt-473, an increase in the Bax/Bcl-2 ratio, and cleaved caspases-3 induced apoptosis; the upregulation of RIP3, p-RIP3 and MLKL induced necroptosis; as well as a simultaneous increase in LC3-II/I ratio induced autophagy. In addition, we observed that IBC induced mitochondrial dysfunction, thereby decreasing cellular ATP levels and increasing reactive oxygen species accumulation to induce PCD. These results suggest that IBC is a promising lead compound with anti-TNBC activity.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the pathological characteristics of three mice models of temporomandibular joint degenerative joint disease (TMJDJD), including osteoarthritis and osteoarthrosis, and to provide references for animal experimental study regarding the pathological mechanism of osteoarthritis and osteoarthrosis. Methods: A total of 54 8-week-old male C57BL/6 mice were selected to construct three TMJDJD animal models, including bilateral temporomandibular joint (TMJ) Freund's complete adjuvant (FCA) injection model, bilateral TMJ monosodium iodoacetate (MIA) injection model, and right TMJ discectomy model. FCA injection model (15 mice) was divided into saline injection group, FCA injection group-1 week, FCA injection group-2 week, FCA injection group-4 week and FCA injection group-6 week, 3 mice were used at each time point, with a total of 6 TMJs on both sides. MIA injection model (15 mice) was separated into saline injection group, MIA injection group-1 week, MIA injection group-2 week, MIA injection group-4 week and MIA injection group-6 week, 3 mice were used at each time point, with a total of 6 TMJs on both sides. TMJ discectomy model (24 mice) was split into control group, discectomy group-2 week group, discectomy group-4 week and discectomy group-6 week, six mice were used at each time point, with a total of six right TMJs. General pictures of the bilateral joints area of mice were collected 1 day after drug injection, and stereoscopic images of condylar tissues were collected 4 weeks after microsurgery for discectomy. Mouse TMJ tissue sections from each time point were stained with HE and toluidine blue, respectively, synovial tissues were scored for synovial inflammation, and the percentage of proteoglycan in condylar cartilage was quantitatively analyzed. Results: One day after intra-articular FCA or MIA injection, the width of bilateral TMJ were significantly increased in FCA injection groups [(24.60±0.46) mm] compared with the saline injection group [(21.63±0.52) mm] (t=4.25, P<0.013), the width of bilateral TMJ in MIA injection groups [(24.50±0.62) mm] were also significantly higher than that in saline injection group [(21.40±0.52) mm] (t=3.82, P=0.019). The synovitis scores in FCA injection groups 1, 2, 4, 6 weeks after FCA injection were significantly higher than that of the saline injection group (F=18.09, P<0.001), with the proteoglycan of condylar cartilage increased firstly and then decreased compared with the saline injection group (F=21.59, P<0.001). Condylar cartilage proteoglycan loss in different degrees were observed 1, 2, 4 and 6 weeks after MIA injection (F=13.59, P<0.001), and synovitis scores were increased at different degrees compared with saline injection group (F=14.79, P<0.001). The morphology of condylar cartilage in discectomy groups mice were severely damaged, synovial tissues showed dense connective tissue lesions at 2, 4 and 6 weeks postoperatively, condylar cartilage tissues showed a time-dependent loss of proteoglycan compared with the control group (F=40.62, P<0.001). Conclusions: Intra-articular FCA injection establishes a mouse model of TMJ osteoarthritis with severe synovial inflammation. Intra-articular MIA injection constructs a mouse model of typical TMJ osteoarthritis. Discectomy establishes a mouse TMJ osteoarthrosis model with severe condylar cartilage destruction.

Abstract
Infection with helminths can modulate the host immune response, which ultimately shape morbidity and mortality of the associated diseases. We studied key cytokines for essential immune response in sera from 229 southeastern China individuals infected with Clonorchis sinensis and 60 individuals without C. sinensis infection, and measured serum specific IgG and IgE against worms in these people. Individuals infected with C. sinensis had significantly higher antigen-specific IgG and IgE levels, which were positively correlated with egg counts in feces. However, less enhancement of IgE antibody was observed in females when compared to males with similar infection levels. C. sinensis infection caused diminished Th1 cytokines (IL-1β, IL-2, IL-12p70, IFN-γ and TNF-α), Th2 cytokine (IL-4), as well as Th17 cytokine (IL-17A) in sera, which showed decreasing trend by infection intensity. Notably, these phenotypes were more significant in females than those in males. Although C. sinensis infection is associated with the development of hepatobiliary diseases, there was no significant correlation between the dampened cytokine profiles and the hepatobiliary morbidities. Our study indicates C. sinensis infection is strongly related to the immune suppression in human. Sex differences shape the immune milieus of clonorchiasis. This study provides a better understanding of how worms affect immune responses and cause a long-term immune alternation in humans with C. sinensis infection.

Abstract
Eight new iridoids, jatavaleridoids A-H (1-8), were isolated from the roots and rhizomes of Valeriana jatamansi. Their structures and absolute configurations were elucidated based on NMR and HRESIMS spectroscopic data, as well as quantum chemical calculation. Structurally, compounds 1-5 and 8 were rare iridoids with long-chain fatty acid esters at C-10. In addition, compound 7 showed cytotoxicity, while compounds 1 and 2 exhibited inhibition on NO production.

Abstract
Eleven new seco-iridoids, valeridoids G-Q (1-6 and 8-12), along with four known products, 9-epi-valtral C (7), desacylbaldrinal (13), 11-methoxyviburtinal (14) and baldrinal (15), were obtained from Valeriana jatamansi. Among them, the new compounds were identified by their NMR, HR-ESI-MS spectroscopic data and ECD calculation. Moreover, valeridoid N and O were a pair of C3 epimers, whose ether bonds between C-1 and C-3 opened, and new ether bonds formed between C-3 and C-6. Valeridoid Q belonged to the C-1 degradation of seco-iridoids. As a result, 9-epi-valtral C displayed significant inhibition on Streptococcus agalactiae, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus argenteus, Shigella flexneri and Klebsiella pneumoniae, and valeridoid Q exhibited the most significant inhibition against Salmonella enteritidis. 9-Epi-valtral C and baldrinal selectively inhibited the growth of human glioma stem cells. Valeridoid Q exhibited significant anti-influenza activity, while valeridoid O inhibited nitric oxide production.
