Abstract
Background The substantial increase in smartphone ownership has led to a rise in mobile health (mHealth) app use. Developing tailored features through mHealth apps creates a pathway to address the health care needs of pediatric patients with cancer and their families who have complex care needs. However, few apps are designed specifically to integrate with pediatric cancer care. Objective This study reports a systematic search and analysis of mHealth apps available on the Apple App (iOS) and Google Play (Android) stores designed for pediatric cancer through a list of features that serve (1) patients, (2) caregivers, or (3) both audiences. Methods Following PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) guidelines, we reviewed apps for pediatric patients with cancer and caregivers available as of January 30, 2024. We searched the Apple App and Google Play stores with a list of keyword combinations focusing on pediatric cancer care. The inclusion criteria were (1) specifically apps targeted toward pediatric patients with cancer, their families, or both; (2) available in either app store; and (3) available in English. Apps were assessed using the Mobile Application Rating Scale (MARS). The MARS is a quality assessment for mHealth apps, including components of engagement, functionality, aesthetics, and informational quality (5-point Likert scale items-1: low and 5: high quality). Results In total, 22 apps were identified and 17 of those apps were available on both platforms. The most popular features (n=12) were resource sharing, symptom tracking, reminders, care team connections, journaling, community support, medication tracking, data visualizations, and appointment tracking. Features and interfaces were designed for caregivers (n=9) more frequently than the patients (n=7) while a subset of apps created options for both users (n=6). A total of 16 apps received positive reviews (mean 4.4, SD 0.59; Min=3.1, Max=5.0). A small subset (n=3) achieved over 5000 downloads; however, the majority (n=15) had fewer than 500. More than half (n=12) of the apps were not available in English. Apps requested access to a range of device functionalities to operate (mean 2.72, SD 3.13; Min=0, Max=10). Out of 22, a total of 17 apps were publicly accessible. The mean MARS scores for the apps ranged from 1.71 (SD 0.75) to 4.33 (SD 0.82). Overall, apps scored high on functionality (mean 3.72, SD 0.54) but low on engagement (mean 3.02, SD 0.93). Conclusions Our review highlights the promising yet underdeveloped potential of mHealth apps in pediatric oncology care, underscoring the need for more inclusive, comprehensive, and integrative digital health solutions. Future developments should actively involve key stakeholders from the pediatric oncology community, including patients, families, and health care professionals, to ensure the apps meet specific needs while addressing linguistic and cultural barriers.

Abstract
PURPOSE Childhood cancer survivors (CCS) have an increased risk of developing late chronic diseases, which can be influenced by the cancer type and its treatment. These chronic diseases can be severe and disabling, typically emerging years to decades after treatment. These deficits negatively impact quality of life, intelligence quotient, and memory. This study investigated how much the cancer type and treatment could affect the neurological hospitalisations in the French Childhood Cancer Survivors Study (FCCSS). METHODS We included 5579 childhood cancer survivors (CCS), diagnosed with solid tumours or lymphoma between 1945 and 2000, treated before 2001 and below the age of 21 years at initial treatment. The follow-up period was from 2006 to 2018. Hospitalisation data were obtained by linkage with the National Health Data System. We calculated the relative hospitalisation rate (RHRs) and absolute excess rate (AERs). Multivariable analyses were conducted using a Generalized Linear Model (GLM) with a Poisson distribution to estimate the association between neurological hospitalisation and patient characteristics. The expected number of hospitalisations served as an offset to compare the risk for FCCSS survivors with that of the reference population. Risk estimates were reported as relative risk (RR) with 95% confidence intervals. RESULTS The hospitalisation rate for CCS was 114.2 per 10,000 person-years (PY), compared to 48.4 in the reference population. The highest hospitalisation rates were observed for epilepsy (AER = 27.1 per 10000 PY, 95%CI: 23.5-31.2 and RHR = 5.1, 95%CI 4.4-5.7). In multivariable analyses, central nervous system (CNS) tumours survivors had the highest relative risk (RR) of hospitalisation (RR = 9.4, 95%CI: 6.7-13.1) followed by neuroblastoma survivors (RR = 2.5, 95%CI: 1.7-3.7). In the whole population, survivors who received radiation to the head and neck had a significantly higher risk of hospitalisation (RR = 3.9, 95%CI: 3.3-4.7) compared to those who did not receive radiotherapy. CONCLUSIONS Head and neck irradiation was identified as a strong risk factor for hospitalisation. This underlines the importance of implementing specific neurologic surveillance programs for at-risk individuals.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The objective of this study was to examine the prevalence of unhealthy lifestyle behaviors, overweight, and obesity in Dutch childhood cancer survivors (CCSs) compared with sibling controls and the Dutch general population. Other aims were to assess associated factors of unhealthy lifestyle behaviors, overweight, and obesity and to identify subgroups of CCSs at risk for these unhealthy statuses. METHODS The authors included 2253 CCSs and 906 siblings from the Dutch Childhood Cancer Survivor Study-Late Effects After Childhood Cancer cohort, part 1, and added data from the Dutch general population. Questionnaire data were collected on overweight and obesity (body mass index >25.0 kg/m2), meeting physical activity guidelines (>150 minutes per week of moderate or vigorous exercises), excessive alcohol consumption (>14 and >21 alcoholic consumptions per week for women and men, respectively), daily smoking, and monthly drug use. Multivariable logistic regression analyses and two-step cluster analyses were performed to examine sociodemographic-related, health-related, cancer-related, and treatment-related associated factors of unhealthy lifestyle behaviors and to identify subgroups of CCSs at risk for multiple unhealthy behaviors. RESULTS CCSs more often did not meet physical activity guidelines than their siblings (30.0% vs. 19.3%; p < .001). Married as marital status, lower education level, nonstudent status, and comorbidities were common associated factors for a body mass index ≥25.0 kg/m2 and insufficient physical activity, whereas male sex and lower education were shared associated factors for excessive alcohol consumption, daily smoking, and monthly drug use. A subgroup of CCSs was identified as excessive alcohol consumers, daily smokers, and monthly drug users. CONCLUSIONS The current results emphasize the factors associated with unhealthy behaviors and the potential identification of CCSs who exhibit multiple unhealthy lifestyle behaviors.

Abstract
Pediatric brain tumor survivors demonstrate weaknesses in adaptive functioning, most notably practical adaptive skills; however, the specific areas of weakness within practical skills are unknown. This study examined the aspects of practical adaptive functions that are most impacted in brain tumor survivors, and identified medical and socio-demographic variables that predicted outcomes. The sample included 117 pediatric brain tumor patients seen for a clinical neuropsychological evaluation and whose parents completed the Adaptive Behavior Assessment System, Second or Third Edition. T-tests compared practical adaptive skills to normative means. Correlations examined associations between medical and socio-demographic variables and each of the practical adaptive subscales (Community Use, Home Living, Health & Safety, Self-Care). Significant correlations were entered into linear regression models for each practical adaptive skill. All practical subscales were significantly below the normative mean. Community Use was positively correlated with age at diagnosis and negatively correlated with treatment burden, time since diagnosis, and neighborhood deprivation. Health and Safety was positively correlated with age at diagnosis. Home Living was positively correlated with neighborhood deprivation. Self-Care was positively correlated with age at diagnosis and parental education. Specific medical and socio-demographic factors predicted practical adaptive functioning, highlighting the importance of considering the role of medical and socio-demographic determinants of health on adaptive functioning outcomes in pediatric brain tumors.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Aromatase inhibitors (AI) may improve height in short stature conditions; however, the effect in childhood cancer survivors (CCS) is unknown. We assessed final adult height (FAH) in CCS treated with AI and GH compared with those treated with GH alone. METHODS Retrospective cohort study of GH-deficient male CCS treated between 2007 and 2023. FAH was noted as the height at the fusion of growth plates or 18 years of age. Multivariable linear regression was used to examine treatment association with FAH, adjusting for other risk factors. RESULTS Ninety-two patients were included; 70 were treated with GH and 22 with combination AI/GH. The mean age at GH initiation did not differ between groups. The mean age at AI initiation was 13.7 ± 1.9 years. A greater proportion of patients in the AI/GH group were treated with stem cell transplantation, abdominal radiation, total body irradiation, and cis-retinoic acid (p < .01). Multivariable linear regression demonstrated no significant treatment association with FAH Z-score (β = 0.04, 95% CI: -0.9 to 0.9). History of spinal radiation (β = -0.93, 95% CI: -1.7 to -0.2), lower starting height Z-score (β = -0.8, 95% CI: -1.2 to -0.4), and greater difference between bone age and chronological age (β = -0.3, 95% CI: -0.5 to -0.07) were associated with lower FAH Z-score. CONCLUSIONS Adjuvant AI was not associated with increased FAH in male CCS compared with GH monotherapy. Future work is needed to determine the optimal adjunctive treatment to maximize FAH for this population.

Abstract
BACKGROUND To evaluate the effects of local radiotherapy (RT) on growth, we evaluated the chronological growth profiles and vertebral features of children with high-risk neuroblastoma. METHODS Thirty-eight children who received local photon or proton beam therapy to the abdomen or retroperitoneum between January 2014 and September 2019 were included. Simple radiography of the thoracolumbar spine was performed before and every year after RT. The height and vertical length of the irradiated vertebral bodies (VBs) compared with the unirradiated VBs (vertebral body ratio, VBR) were analyzed using the linear mixed model. Shape feature analysis was performed to compare the irradiated and unirradiated vertebrae. RESULTS The follow-up was a median of 53.5 months (range, 21-81 months) after RT. A decline in height z-scores was mainly found in the early phase after treatment. In the linear mixed model with height, the initial height (fixed, p < 0.001), sex (time interaction, p = 0.008), endocrine dysfunction (time interaction, 0.019), and age at diagnosis (fixed and time interaction, both p = 0.002) were significant. Unlike the trend in height, the change in VBR (ΔVBR) decreased gradually (p < 0.001). The ΔVBR in the group that received more than 30 Gy decreased more than in the group that received smaller doses. In the shape feature analysis, the irradiated VBs changed to a more irregular surface that were neither round nor rectangular. CONCLUSION The irradiated VBs in children were gradually restricted compared to the unirradiated VBs in long-term follow-up, and higher RT doses were significantly affected. Radiation-induced irregular features of VBs were observed.

Abstract
BACKGROUND This study reported height prediction and longitudinal growth changes in Chinese pediatric patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) during and after treatment and their associations with outcomes. METHODS Changes in 88 children with AML in percentages according to the growth percentile curve for Chinese boys/girls aged 2-18/0-2 years for body mass index (BMI), height, and weight from the time of diagnosis to 2 years off therapy were evaluated. The outcomes of AML were compared among patients with different BMI levels. RESULTS The proportion of underweight children (weight < 5th percentile) increased significantly from the initial diagnosis to the end of consolidation treatment. The proportion of patients with low BMI (BMI < 5th percentile) was highest (23.08%) during the consolidation phase, and no children were underweight, but 20% were overweight (BMI > 75th percentile) after 2 years of drug withdrawal. Unhealthy BMI at the initial diagnosis and during intensive chemotherapy leads to poorer outcomes. For height, all patients were in the range of genetic height predicted based on their parents' height at final follow-up. CONCLUSIONS Physicians should pay more attention to the changes in height and weight of children with AML at these crucial treatment stages and intervene in time.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Cancer survivors have increased risk of endocrine complications, but there is a lack of information on the occurrence of specific endocrinopathies at the population-level. METHODS We used data from the California Cancer Registry (2006-2018) linked to statewide hospitalisation, emergency department, and ambulatory surgery databases. We estimated the cumulative incidence of and factors associated with endocrinopathies among adolescents and young adults (AYA, 15-39 years) who survived ≥2 years after diagnosis. RESULTS Among 59,343 AYAs, 10-year cumulative incidence was highest for diabetes (4.7%), hypothyroidism (4.6%), other thyroid (2.2%) and parathyroid disorders (1.6%). Hypothyroidism was most common in Hodgkin lymphoma, leukaemia, breast, and cervical cancer survivors, while diabetes was highest among survivors of leukaemias, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, colorectal, cervical, and breast cancer. In multivariable models, factors associated with increased hazard of endocrinopathies were treatment, advanced stage, public insurance, residence in low/middle socioeconomic neighbourhoods, older age, and non-Hispanic Black or Hispanic race/ethnicity. Haematopoietic cell transplant was associated with most endocrinopathies, while chemotherapy was associated with a higher hazard of ovarian dysfunction and hypothyroidism. CONCLUSIONS We observed a high burden of endocrinopathies among AYA cancer survivors, which varied by treatment and social factors. Evidence-based survivorship guidelines are needed for surveillance of these diseases.

Abstract
PURPOSE The purpose of this study is to examine the protective and risk factors of substance use behaviors (tobacco, marijuana, e-cigarette, and alcohol) among young adult childhood cancer survivors. The study focused on clinical (receipt of cancer-related follow-up care, treatment intensity, late effects, depressive symptoms, self-rated health) and demographic (race/ethnicity, neighborhood socioeconomic status) factors and their associations with substance use. METHODS Participants were from the Project Forward cohort, a population-based study of young adult survivors of childhood cancers. Participants (N = 1166, Mage = 25.1 years) were recruited through the Los Angeles Cancer Surveillance Program (Cancer Registry covering Los Angeles County, California). Multivariate path analyses were performed with substance use as the outcome variables and clinical and demographic factors as independent variables. Covariates included age and sex. FINDING Substance use was positively associated with depressive symptoms, and inversely associated with cancer-related follow-up care, female sex, age, Hispanic ethnicity, treatment intensity, and self-rated health. Neighborhood SES was inversely associated with tobacco use, while being positively associated with binge drinking and e-cigarette use. The results highlight the interrelationship between the clinical and demographic variables and their associations with different substance use. CONCLUSION Findings support the need for effective interventions targeting substance use behavior among CCS. This will help improve long-term outcomes and mitigate the risk for early morbidity.

Abstract
The use of hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) for treating malignant conditions in children has increased over the past five decades, leading to a growing population of long-term survivors.This population of childhood HCT survivors faces increased risks of adverse medical effects due to cancer treatments, including adverse cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk factors such as metabolic syndrome, insulin resistance. but the impact of exposure to HCT preparative conditioning regimen has not been clearly delineated. These risk factors, including obesity, dyslipidemia, hypertension, and insulin resistance (IR), are significant contributors to premature cardiovascular disease and represent a leading cause of non-relapse deaths in childhood cancer and HCT survivors. This study aimed to assess the early development of CVD risk factors and their relationship to insulin resistance in a large population of pediatric and young adult HCT survivors of childhood hematologic malignancies. The study compared their cardiovascular risk profiles, insulin resistance (measured by euglycemic hyperinsulinemic clamp studies), and body composition (determined by dual X-ray absorptiometry - DXA) with a cohort of sibling controls. We enrolled 151 HCT recipients (26.36 ±0.90 years at study enrollment; time since HCT of 2.6-31.5 years) and 92 sibling controls to complete at cardiovascular risk assessment including insulin sensitivity by hyperinsulinemic euglycemic clamp, anthropometry, body composition by dual X-ray absorptiometry, blood pressure, and serum biomarkers. We used linear models to test for mean differences in all continuous outcomes between survivors and siblings, accounting for intra-family correlations with generalized estimating equations. Recipients of HCT were found to have lower insulin sensitivity and more likely to have adverse CVD risk factors in comparison to their healthy siblings. Significantly higher percent fat mass and visceral adipose tissue, and significantly lower lean body mass were noted in HCT recipients than sibling controls despite having a similar body mass index between the two groups. Total body irradiation in the conditioning regimen was one of the strongest factors associated with lower insulin sensitivity, dyslipidemia and abnormal body composition leading to sarcopenic obesity. This study reveals that pediatric and young adult HCT survivors are more insulin resistant and have a higher prevalence of adverse cardiovascular risk factors compared to sibling controls. The presence of cardiovascular risk factors at a relatively young age raises concerns about an escalating trajectory of cardiovascular disease in this population. Therefore, regular monitoring of HCT survivors for cardiometabolic risk factors and early intervention will be crucial for preventing cardiovascular-related complications in the future. The findings underscore the importance of survivorship care for pediatric and young adult HCT survivors, with a focus on managing cardiovascular risk factors and promoting a healthy lifestyle to mitigate long-term adverse effects. Early identification and targeted interventions can significantly improve the long-term health outcomes of this vulnerable population, reducing the burden of cardiovascular disease and related complications.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Treatment of post-transplant lymphoproliferative disease (PTLD) varies, with only some patients receiving chemotherapy. Concern for chemotherapy toxicities may influence treatment decisions as little is known regarding the late effects (LE) in PTLD survivors. This report characterizes LE in PTLD survivors at our institution. PROCEDURE Pediatric patients (0-18 years old) diagnosed with PTLD from 1990 to 2020 were examined. All patients included survived 6 months after completing chemotherapy or were 6 months from diagnosis if received no chemotherapy. Treatment with anti-CD20 antibody (rituximab) alone was not considered chemotherapy. Toxicities were classified per Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events Version 5.0. Chi-square tests assessed differences between categorical groups, or Fischer's exact test or the Fischer-Freeman-Halton exact test for limited sample sizes. RESULTS Of the 44 patients included, 24 (55%) were treated with chemotherapy. Twenty-four (55%) were alive at last follow-up. Chemotherapy was not associated with differences in survival (odds ratio [OR] 1.40, confidence interval [CI]: 0.42-4.63; p = .31). All patients experienced LE. Grade 3 toxicity or higher was experienced by 82% of patients with no difference in incidence (OR 1.20, CI: 0.27-5.80; p > .99) or median toxicity grade (3.00 vs. 4.00, p = .21) between treatment groups. Patients who received chemotherapy were more likely to experience blood and lymphatic toxicity (58% vs. 25%, p = .03) and cardiac toxicity (46% vs. 15%, p = .03), but less likely to have infections (54% vs. 85%, p = .03). CONCLUSIONS Survivors of PTLD experience LE including late mortality regardless of chemotherapy exposure. Further investigation to better understand LE could optimize upfront therapy for children with PTLD and improve outcomes.

Abstract
CONTEXT Children with cancer are at risk of poor nutritional status during treatment and into survivorship. Objectively measured taste perception and self-reported food hedonics are 2 factors that may influence food intake. OBJECTIVE This 2-armed systematic review examined whether chemotherapy and radiotherapy affect (1) taste perception and (2) hedonic experiences of children and survivors of childhood cancer. DATA SOURCE A 2-armed systematic literature search was conducted in the Medline, CINAHL, Embase, and PsychInfo database until June 2022. The effects of cancer treatment on objective taste perception or food hedonics (ie, food liking or aversion and appetite) were examined. DATA EXTRACTION Peer-reviewed articles published in English of studies that included children (aged <18 years) or survivors of childhood cancer (any age) were reviewed. Risk of bias was determined using the Evidence Analysis Library by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. DATA ANALYSIS A total of 1417 articles in the taste search arm and 3862 articles in the hedonics search arm were identified. Of these, 9 and 4 articles were eligible for review, respectively. Cancer treatment had highly variable effects on taste perception during treatment and into survivorship. Learned food aversions were experienced by children receiving chemotherapy treatment and liking of meats and salty foods by children with cancer was affected. The impact of treatment on appetite varied. CONCLUSIONS Cancer treatment did not uniformly affect taste perception. Food liking may be negatively affected, and learned food aversions may develop during cancer treatment. To establish the clinical relevance of childhood cancer treatment on taste perception and food hedonics, more research is required. Abstract
PURPOSE The KLIK method is a tool to systematically monitor and discuss Health Related Quality of Life (HRQOL) in clinical practice. It has been successfully used in clinical practice in The Netherlands, and has recently been implemented in survivorship care for young adult childhood cancer survivors (CCSs). This study evaluates implementation fidelity and satisfaction of CCSs and healthcare practitioners (HCPs) with the KLIK method in survivorship care. METHODS CCSs' HRQOL was monitored using the KLIK questionnaire (PedsQL generic 18-30 years). In a mixed-methods design, implementation fidelity was based on registrations, and user satisfaction was assessed with evaluation surveys (CCSs) and semi-structured interviews (CCSs, HCPs). Descriptive statistics and qualitative analysis methods were used. RESULTS A total of 245 CCSs were eligible for the study. Fidelity was 79.2% (194/245) for registration in the KLIK PROM portal, 89.7% (174/194) for completed KLIK questionnaires, 74.7% (130/174) for its discussion during consultation. Of the eligible CCSs, 17.6% (43/245) completed the study evaluation survey. Five CCSs and HCPs were invited for an interview and participated. CCSs (7.7/10) and HCPs (7.5/10) were satisfied with the KLIK method. Reported facilitators included increased insight into CCSs' functioning, improved preparation before, and communication during consultation, without lengthening consultation duration. Barriers included CCSs not always completing KLIK questionnaires, incomplete content of the KLIK questionnaire, and the need for customization for CCSs with cognitive disabilities. CONCLUSION The KLIK method is a feasible and valuable tool to systematically monitor and discuss HRQOL in survivorship care. Integration of the KLIK method within the organization is essential, with structural support in reminding CCSs to complete questionnaires.

Abstract
Background Medulloblastoma (MB) is the most common malignant pediatric brain tumor, with 5-year survival rates > 70%. Cranial radiotherapy (CRT) to the whole brain, with posterior fossa boost (PFB), underpins treatment for non-infants; however, radiotherapeutic insult to the normal brain has deleterious consequences to neurocognitive and physical functioning, and causes accelerated aging/frailty. Approaches to ameliorate radiotherapy-induced late-effects are lacking and a paucity of appropriate model systems hinders their development. Methods We have developed a clinically relevant in vivo model system that recapitulates the radiotherapy dose, targeting, and developmental stage of childhood medulloblastoma. Consistent with human regimens, age-equivalent (postnatal days 35-37) male C57Bl/6J mice received computerized tomography image-guided CRT (human-equivalent 37.5 Gy EQD2, n = 12) ± PFB (human-equivalent 48.7 Gy EQD2, n = 12), via the small animal radiation research platform and were longitudinally assessed for > 12 months. Results CRT was well tolerated, independent of PFB receipt. Compared to a sham-irradiated group (n = 12), irradiated mice were significantly frailer following irradiation (frailty index; P = .0002) and had reduced physical functioning; time to fall from a rotating rod (rotarod; P = .026) and grip strength (P = .006) were significantly lower. Neurocognitive deficits were consistent with childhood MB survivors; irradiated mice displayed significantly worse working memory (Y-maze; P = .009) and exhibited spatial memory deficits (Barnes maze; P = .029). Receipt of PFB did not induce a more severe late-effect profile. Conclusions Our in vivo model mirrored childhood MB radiotherapy and recapitulated features observed in the late-effect profile of MB survivors. Our clinically relevant model will facilitate both the elucidation of novel/target mechanisms underpinning MB late effects and the development of novel interventions for their amelioration.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Despite survival improvements, there is a paucity of data on neurocognitive outcomes in neuroblastoma survivors. This study addresses this literature gap. METHODS Neurocognitive impairments in survivors were compared to sibling controls from the Childhood Cancer Survivor Study (CCSS) using the CCSS Neurocognitive Questionnaire. Impaired emotional regulation, organization, task efficiency, and memory defined as scores ≥90th percentile of sibling norms. Modified Poisson regression models evaluated associations with treatment exposures, era of diagnosis, and chronic conditions. Analyses were stratified by age at diagnosis (≤1 and >1 year) as proxy for lower versus higher risk disease. RESULTS Survivors (N = 837; median [range] age, 25 [17-58] years, age diagnosed, 1 [0-21] years) were compared to sibling controls (N = 728; age, 32 [16-43] years). Survivors had higher risk of impaired task efficiency (≤1 year relative risk [RR], 1.48; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.08-2.03; >1 year RR, 1.58; 95% CI, 1.22-2.06) and emotional regulation (≤1 year RR, 1.51; 95% CI, 1.07-2.12; >1 year RR, 1.44; 95% CI, 1.06-1.95). Impaired task efficiency associated with platinum exposure (≤1 year RR, 1.74; 95% CI, 1.01-2.97), hearing loss (≤1 year RR, 1.95; 95% CI, 1.26-3.00; >1 year RR, 1.56; 95% CI, 1.09-2.24), cardiovascular (≤1 year RR, 1.83; 95% CI, 1.15-2.89; >1 year RR, 1.74; 95% CI, 1.12-2.69), neurologic (≤1 year RR, 2.00; 95% CI, 1.32-3.03; >1 year RR, 2.29; 95% CI, 1.64-3.21), and respiratory (>1 year RR, 2.35; 95% CI, 1.60-3.45) conditions. Survivors ≤1 year; female sex (RR, 1.54; 95% CI, 1.02-2.33), cardiovascular (RR, 1.71; 95% CI, 1.08-2.70) and respiratory (RR, 1.99; 95% CI, 1.14-3.49) conditions associated impaired emotional regulation. Survivors were less likely to be employed full-time (p < .0001), graduate college (p = .035), and live independently (p < .0001). CONCLUSIONS Neuroblastoma survivors report neurocognitive impairment impacting adult milestones. Identified health conditions and treatment exposures can be targeted to improve outcomes. PLAIN LANGUAGE SUMMARY Survival rates continue to improve in patients with neuroblastoma. There is a lack of information regarding neurocognitive outcomes in neuroblastoma survivors; most studies examined survivors of leukemia or brain tumors. In this study, 837 adult survivors of childhood neuroblastoma were compared to siblings from the Childhood Cancer Survivorship Study. Survivors had a 50% higher risk of impairment with attention/processing speed (task efficiency) and emotional reactivity/frustration tolerance (emotional regulation). Survivors were less likely to reach adult milestones such as living independently. Survivors with chronic health conditions are at a higher risk of impairment. Early identification and aggressive management of chronic conditions may help mitigate the level of impairment.

Abstract
Geroscience is becoming a major hope for preventing age-related diseases and loss of function by targeting biological mechanisms of aging. This unprecedented paradigm shift requires optimizing the design of future clinical studies related to aging in humans. Researchers will face a number of challenges, including ideal populations to study, which lifestyle and Gerotherapeutic interventions to test initially, selecting key primary and secondary outcomes of such clinical trials, and which age-related biomarkers are most valuable for both selecting interventions and predicting or monitoring clinical responses ("Gerodiagnostics"). This article reports the main results of a Task Force of experts in Geroscience.

Abstract
Survivors of childhood cancer have an increased risk of long-term health issues arising mostly from the side effects of treatment. Using population-based data from the Australian Childhood Cancer Registry (ACCR) for children aged 0-14 at diagnosis between 1983 and 2018, there were a total of 17,468 prevalent cases of childhood cancer survivors on 31 December 2018. We also found an 80% increase in the number of 5-year prevalent cases, from 1979 in 1988 to 3566 in 2018. Both short- and long-term prevalence estimates are important for monitoring childhood cancer survivorship and planning for the specific needs of this expanding cohort.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Multimodal cancer therapy places childhood cancer survivors at increased risk for chronic health conditions, subsequent malignancies, and premature mortality as they age. We aimed to estimate the cumulative burden of late (>5 years from cancer diagnosis), major surgical interventions among childhood cancer survivors, compared with their siblings, and to examine associations between specific childhood cancer treatments and the burden of late surgical interventions. METHODS We analysed data from the Childhood Cancer Survivor Study (CCSS), a retrospective cohort study with longitudinal prospective follow-up of 5-year survivors of childhood cancer (diagnosed before age 21 years) treated at 31 institutions in the USA, with a comparison group of nearest-age siblings of survivors selected by simple random sampling. The primary outcome was any self-reported late, major surgical intervention (defined as any anaesthesia-requiring operation) occurring 5 years or more after the primary cancer diagnosis. The cumulative burden was assessed with mean cumulative counts (MCC) of late, major surgical interventions. Piecewise exponential regression models with calculation of adjusted rate ratios (RRs) evaluated associations between treatment exposures and late, major surgical interventions. FINDINGS Between Jan 1, 1970, and Dec 31, 1999, 25 656 survivors were diagnosed (13 721 male, 11 935 female; median follow-up 21·8 years [IQR 16·5-28·4]; median age at diagnosis 6·1 years [3·0-12·4]); 5045 nearest-age siblings were also included as a comparison group. Survivors underwent 28 202 late, major surgical interventions and siblings underwent 4110 late, major surgical interventions. The 35-year MCC of a late, major surgical intervention was 206·7 per 100 survivors (95% CI 202·7-210·8) and 128·9 per 100 siblings (123·0-134·7). The likelihood of a late, major surgical intervention was higher in survivors versus siblings (adjusted RR 1·8, 95% CI 1·7-1·9) and in female versus male survivors (1·4; 1·4-1·5). Survivors diagnosed in the 1990s (adjusted RR 1·4, 95% CI 1·3-1·5) had an increased likelihood of late surgery compared with those diagnosed in the 1970s. Survivors received late interventions more frequently than siblings in most anatomical regions or organ systems, including CNS (adjusted RR 16·9, 95% CI 9·4-30·4), endocrine (6·7, 5·2-8·7), cardiovascular (6·6, 5·2-8·3), respiratory (5·3, 3·4-8·2), spine (2·4, 1·8-3·2), breast (2·1, 1·7-2·6), renal or urinary (2·0, 1·5-2·6), musculoskeletal (1·5, 1·4-1·7), gastrointestinal (1·4, 1·3-1·6), and head and neck (1·2, 1·1-1·4) interventions. Survivors of Hodgkin lymphoma (35-year MCC 333·3 [95% CI 320·1-346·6] per 100 survivors), Ewing sarcoma (322·9 [294·5-351·3] per 100 survivors), and osteosarcoma (269·6 [250·1-289·2] per 100 survivors) had the highest cumulative burdens of late, major surgical interventions. Locoregional surgery or radiotherapy cancer treatment were associated with undergoing late surgical intervention in the same body region or organ system. INTERPRETATION Childhood cancer survivors have a significant burden of late, major surgical interventions, a late effect that has previously been poorly quantified. Survivors would benefit from regular health-care evaluations aiming to anticipate impending surgical issues and to intervene early in the disease course when feasible. Abstract
PURPOSE Survivors of childhood leukemia are at risk of growth impairment due to intensive chemotherapy and radiation treatments. This study investigated the auxological and biochemical characteristics of childhood leukemia survivors diagnosed with growth hormone deficiency (GHD) and the changes in these parameters after 1 year of growth hormone (GH) treatment. METHODS A total of 24 children diagnosed with GHD after leukemia treatment was analyzed. Clinical and biochemical data were collected retrospectively at leukemia diagnosis, GHD diagnosis, and 1 year after GH treatment. Standard deviation score (SDS) was calculated based on the age- and gender-adjusted population. RESULTS Of the 24 children included in this study, 19 received GH treatment. The median age at GHD diagnosis was 12.3 years, and the median delay in bone age was 1.46 years. Height SDS decreased from -0.69 at leukemia diagnosis to -2.58 at GHD diagnosis (P<0.001). The change in height SDS with and without GH for 1 year was 0.35 and -0.21, respectively (P=0.044). In regression analyses, higher height SDS at GHD diagnosis and a smaller decrease of the height SDS between leukemia and GHD diagnoses were positively correlated with height SDS after GH treatment. CONCLUSION GH treatment could be beneficial and safe for improving height in childhood leukemia survivors with GHD. Height SDS at GHD diagnosis and reduction of height SDS between leukemia and GHD diagnosis could be potential factors in predicting the therapeutic effects. Close auxological monitoring is recommended for any childhood leukemia survivors who experience posttreatment height decline.

Abstract
PURPOSE To assess health-related quality of life (HRQOL) among adolescents and young adults (AYAs) with and without cancer, using Andersen's behavioral model of health services use. METHODS We used a cross-sectional, matched case-control design; data were from the Texas Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System for 2015-2019. AYAs aged between 18 and 39 years and with cancer were matched to controls using propensity score matching to control for predisposing and enabling factors. Chi-square tests were used to compare differences in need for care, health practices, and health services utilization between AYAs with cancer and controls without cancer. Multiple logistic regression models were used to compare HRQOL outcomes. RESULTS The final study sample consisted of 276 AYAs diagnosed with cancer and 828 controls after propensity score matching. The AYAs with cancer were more likely to have chronic comorbidities, smoke, and avoid health services utilization because of cost in comparison with the matched controls. Multiple logistic regressions showed significant differences in HRQOL between AYAs with cancer and controls: AYAs with cancer were more likely to have worse general health (OR = 2.488; 95% CI, 1.305-4.741) and worse perceived cognitive function (OR = 2.070; 95% CI, 1.076-3.919). CONCLUSION AYAs with cancer experience more chronic comorbidities, smoking, financial barriers to health service, and worse HRQOL than do AYAs without cancer. IMPLICATIONS FOR CANCER SURVIVORS Age-appropriate tailored surveillance and survivorship supports/resources are needed for AYAs with cancer.

Abstract
BACKGROUND There is a paucity of information on health outcomes of adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer survivors living outside North America and Europe. This study compared outcomes in AYA cancer survivors in Israel with individuals without cancer and similar demographics and access to health care, and to AYA cancer survivors living in the United States. METHODS This study included 12,674 2-year survivors of AYA (aged 15-39 years) cancer diagnosed between 2000 and 2018 at Clalit Health Services (CHS) in Israel. CHS participants without cancer (N = 50,696) were matched 4:1 to survivors on age, sex, ethnicity, and membership duration. Poisson regression was used to determine incidence rate ratios (IRRs) for chronic conditions. The US Kaiser Permanente Southern California AYA cohort (N = 6778) was used to estimate weighted (age, sex) standardized incidence ratios (SIRs) for CHS survivors. RESULTS CHS AYA cancer survivors were more likely to have any chronic condition (IRR, 1.6 95% CI, 1.5-1.7), compared with participants without cancer. Survivors had an increased risk across nearly all conditions examined, with especially elevated risks for osteoporosis (IRR, 4.7; 95% CI, 4.1-5.5) and cardiomyopathy (IRR, 4.2 95% CI, 3.4-5.3). Compared with the Kaiser Permanente Southern California cohort, CHS survivors had an overall lower (SIR, 0.68; 95% CI, 0.65-0.72) incidence of developing any health condition, with noticeably lower incidence of hyperlipidemia (SIR, 0.7; 95% CI, 0.64-0.75). CONCLUSION AYA cancer survivors in Israel are at increased risk for developing chronic conditions compared with individuals without cancer, but the overall incidence was lower than in US survivors. These findings may allow for refinement of surveillance recommendations for AYA survivors, taking into consideration regional differences in sociodemographic characteristics and cancer care. PLAIN LANGUAGE SUMMARY The burden of chronic conditions was consistently greater in Israeli adolescent and young adult cancer survivors compared with individuals without cancer, with clear differences in risk of specific conditions by cancer diagnosis. However, the overall incidence of chronic conditions in Israeli survivors was generally lower than in US survivors.

Abstract
Childhood and adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer survivors experience poor health outcomes in adulthood. Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) also portend poor health outcomes for the general population. Resilience can mitigate effects of ACEs. We examined the feasibility of assessing ACEs and resilience in childhood and AYA cancer patients. We also described occurrences of ACEs, resilience, and poor health outcomes. Of 52 participants, most rated their study experience favorably, with privacy in answering sensitive questions. Half reported ACEs, and those with ACEs had lower resilience; X2 (3, N = 52) = 9.4, p = .02. Further investigations of ACEs and resilience in larger cohorts are warranted to delineate associations with long-term health outcomes.

Abstract
STUDY QUESTION What is the impact of cancer or hematological disorders on germ cells in pediatric male patients? SUMMARY ANSWER Spermatogonial quantity is reduced in testes of prepubertal boys diagnosed with cancer or severe hematological disorder compared to healthy controls and this reduction is disease and age dependent: patients with central nervous system cancer (CNS tumors) and hematological disorders, as well as boys <7 years are the most affected. WHAT IS KNOWN ALREADY Fertility preservation in pediatric male patients is considered based on the gonadotoxicity of selected treatments. Although treatment effects on germ cells have been extensively investigated, limited data are available on the effect of the disease on the prepubertal male gonad. Of the few studies investigating the effects of cancer or hematologic disorders on testicular function and germ cell quantity in prepuberty, the results are inconsistent. However, recent studies suggested impairments before the initiation of known gonadotoxic therapy. Understanding which diseases and at what age affect the germ cell pool in pediatric patients before treatment is critical to optimize strategies and counseling for fertility preservation. STUDY DESIGN, SIZE, DURATION This multicenter retrospective cohort study included 101 boys aged <14 years with extra-cerebral cancer (solid tumors), CNS tumors, leukemia/lymphoma (blood cancer), or non-malignant hematological disorders, who were admitted for a fertility preservation programme between 2002 and 2018. PARTICIPANTS/MATERIALS, SETTING, METHODS In addition to clinical data, we analyzed measurements of testicular volume and performed histological staining on testicular biopsies obtained before treatment, at cryopreservation, to evaluate number of spermatogonia per tubular cross-section, tubular fertility index, and the most advanced germ cell type prior to chemo-/radiotherapy. The controls were data simulations with summary statistics from original studies reporting healthy prepubertal boys' testes characteristics. MAIN RESULTS AND THE ROLE OF CHANCE Prepubertal patients with childhood cancer or hematological disorders were more likely to have significantly reduced spermatogonial quantity compared to healthy controls (48.5% versus 31.0% prevalence, respectively). The prevalence of patients with reduced spermatogonial quantity was highest in the CNS tumor (56.7%) and the hematological disorder (55.6%) groups, including patients with hydroxyurea pre-treated sickle cell disease (58.3%) and patients not exposed to hydroxyurea (50%). Disease also adversely impacted spermatogonial distribution and differentiation. Irrespective of disease, we observed the highest spermatogonial quantity reduction in patients <7 years of age. LIMITATIONS, REASONS FOR CAUTION For ethical reasons, we could not collect spermatogonial quantity data in healthy prepubertal boys as controls and thus deployed statistical simulation on data from literature. Also, our results should be interpreted considering low patient numbers per (sub)group. WIDER IMPLICATIONS OF THE FINDINGS Cancers, especially CNS tumors, and severe hematological disorders can affect spermatogonial quantity in prepubertal boys before treatment. Consequently, these patients may have a higher risk of depleted spermatogonia following therapies, resulting in persistent infertility. Therefore, patient counseling prior to disease treatment and timing of fertility preservation should not only be based on treatment regimes, but also on diagnoses and age. Abstract
Estimates of childhood cancer survival are usually reported at 5 years after diagnosis only. Using cases prevalent between 2014 and 2018 from the population-based Australian Childhood Cancer Registry, we used the period method to calculate relative survival up to 20 years post diagnosis by cancer type. Twenty-year relative survival for all childhood cancers combined (n = 14,353) was 83.8% (95% confidence interval [CI] = 82.6%-85.0%). Survival decreased only slightly after 10 years for most childhood cancers, except for some types of brain and liver tumours. These contemporary estimates of long-term survival provide valuable information to assist childhood cancer patients and their families in planning for the future.

Abstract
Background In addition to the thyroid cancer (TC) risk from lifestyle and environmental factors such as radiation exposure, some studies have indicated that diet may affect TC development; however, previous findings are inconsistent. The objective of our study was to investigate the association between dietary habits and TC risk in a Korean population. Materials and methods A total of 13,973 participants were selected after excluding ineligible subjects from the Cancer Screenee Cohort at National Cancer Center in Korea from October 2007 to December 2021. Participants were followed until May 2022 to identify incident TC cases. Information on dietary habits and general characteristics was collected using a self-report questionnaire administered at enrollment without keeping track of changes in eating habits during the follow-up period. A Cox proportional hazards model was used to determine the hazard ratio (HR) and 95% confidence interval (CI) of TC risk for each dietary factor. Results A total of 138 incident TC cases were identified during the median follow-up period of 7.6 years. Of the 12 dietary habits evaluated, only two habits showed significant associations with TC. A significantly decreased TC risk was found among participants who consumed milk and/or dairy products 5 or more days a week [adjusted HR (aHR), 0.58; 95% CI, 0.39-0.85]. Notably, a stronger protective effect of dairy consumption was observed in participants aged ≥ 50 years (aHR, 0.44; 95% CI, 0.26-0.75), in women (aHR, 0.53; 95% CI, 0.35-0.81), and in non-smokers (aHR, 0.60; 95% CI, 0.39-0.92). There was a reduced risk of TC in participants with meal durations longer than 10 min (aHR, 0.58; 95% CI, 0.41-0.83). However, this association was limited to individuals aged ≥ 50 years (aHR, 0.49; 95% CI, 0.31-0.79), women (aHR, 0.61; 95% CI, 0.41-0.90), and non-smokers (aHR, 0.62; 95% CI, 0.41-0.92). Conclusion Our findings suggest that consuming milk and/or dairy products 5 or more days a week and having a meal duration longer than 10 min could be protective factors against TC, especially in individuals aged ≥ 50 years, women and non-smokers. Abstract
Ionizing radiation delivers sufficient energy inside the human body to create ions, which kills cancerous tissues either by damaging the DNA directly or by creating charged particles that can damage the DNA. Recent magnetic resonance (MR)-based conductivity imaging shows higher sensitivity than other MR techniques for evaluating the responses of normal tissues immediately after irradiation. However, it is still necessary to verify the responses of cancer tissues to irradiation by conductivity imaging for it to become a reliable tool in evaluating therapeutic effects in clinical practice. In this study, we applied MR-based conductivity imaging to mouse brain tumors to evaluate the responses in irradiated and non-irradiated tissues during the peri-irradiation period. Absolute conductivities of brain tissues were measured to quantify the irradiation effects, and the percentage changes were determined to estimate the degree of response. The conductivity of brain tissues with irradiation was higher than that without irradiation for all tissue types. The percentage changes of tumor tissues with irradiation were clearly different than those without irradiation. The measured conductivity and percentage changes between tumor rims and cores to irradiation were clearly distinguished. The contrast of the conductivity images following irradiation may reflect the response to the changes in cellularity and the amounts of electrolytes in tumor tissues.

Abstract
PURPOSE Oncolytic virotherapy with herpes simplex virus-1 (HSV) has shown promise for the treatment of pediatric and adult brain tumors; however, completed and ongoing clinical trials have utilized intratumoral/peritumoral oncolytic HSV (oHSV) inoculation due to intraventricular/intrathecal toxicity concerns. Intratumoral delivery requires an invasive neurosurgical procedure, limits repeat injections, and precludes direct targeting of metastatic and leptomeningeal disease. To address these limitations, we determined causes of toxicity from intraventricular oHSV and established methods for mitigating toxicity to treat disseminated brain tumors in mice. EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN HSV-sensitive CBA/J mice received intraventricular vehicle, inactivated oHSV, or treatment doses (1×107 plaque-forming units) of oHSV, and toxicity was assessed by weight loss and IHC. Protective strategies to reduce oHSV toxicity, including intraventricular low-dose oHSV or interferon inducer polyinosinic-polycytidylic acid (poly I:C) prior to oHSV treatment dose, were evaluated and then utilized to assess intraventricular oHSV treatment of multiple models of disseminated CNS disease. RESULTS A standard treatment dose of intraventricular oHSV damaged ependymal cells via virus replication and induction of CD8+ T cells, whereas vehicle or inactivated virus resulted in no toxicity. Subsequent doses of intraventricular oHSV caused little additional toxicity. Interferon induction with phosphorylation of eukaryotic initiation factor-2α (eIF2α) via intraventricular pretreatment with low-dose oHSV or poly I:C mitigated ependyma toxicity. This approach enabled the safe delivery of multiple treatment doses of clinically relevant oHSV G207 and prolonged survival in disseminated brain tumor models. CONCLUSIONS Toxicity from intraventricular oHSV can be mitigated, resulting in therapeutic benefit. These data support the clinical translation of intraventricular G207.

Changes in body size and body composition in survivors of childhood cancer: seven years follow-up of a prospective cohort study. Clin Nutr 2022; 41:2778-2785. Abstract
BACKGROUND & AIMS Cancer treatment is known to have impact on nutritional status, and both underweight and overweight have been reported in several studies in survivors. A limitation of most studies is that they relied on retrospective data or were limited to a subgroup of patients. The current study aims to describe changes in body size and body composition prospectively seven years after diagnosis in a heterogeneous sample of childhood cancer survivors and to evaluate associated factors. METHODS The study population consisted of children diagnosed with hematological, solid and brain malignancies aged 0-18 years at diagnosis. Data of body size, body composition, and associated factors were collected at diagnosis, one year and seven years after diagnosis. RESULTS In the total cohort mean BMI z-score increased during treatment. In children with hematological and brain malignancies BMI z-score continued to increase after end of treatment leading to quadrupling of the prevalence of obesity seven years after diagnosis. BMI at diagnosis (β = -0.34, P = 0.007) and maternal BMI (β = 0.25, P = 0.046) were associated with the increase in BMI z-score. Mean fat mass (FM) z-score, already high at diagnosis, increased during treatment in children with hematological and brain malignancies and evened out during follow-up. Changes in FM z-score were predicted by type of malignancy (hematologic malignancy versus solid tumor β = 0.48, P = 0.008; brain tumor versus solid tumor β = 0.45, P = 0.012). Mean fat free mass (FFM) z-scores started low at diagnosis, particularly in patients with brain tumors, increased during treatment in patients with solid and brain malignancies, though decreased in children with hematological malignancies. At 7 years follow-up a clear increase to normal was seen. Age at diagnosis (β = 0.43, P = 0.004) and initial FFM (β = -0.49, P = 0.001) were found to be significant predictors for changes in FFM z-scores. CONCLUSIONS The finding that the once obtained extra weight and FM during treatment persisted after termination of treatment in children with hematological and brain malignancies, stresses the importance to create awareness about the risk of developing overweight in children during cancer treatment.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES The kidney is a vulnerable organ for acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), by the disease, and various associated clinical pictures. This retrospective study aims to document renal ultrasound abnormalities in children with newly diagnosed ALL as well as to investigate the correlation between renal findings and clinical/laboratory/survival data. METHODS All children (age <18 years) with ALL were included in the study. An increase in size/nephromegaly (NM) or hyperechogenicity (HE) of the kidneys at first admission was accepted as a pathological renal abnormality. The clinical/laboratory findings, survival, and long-term renal functions were compared between patients with and without NM/HE. RESULTS The incidence of NM±HE was 12% in 163 patients. Enlargement of spleen, liver, or both and, hypercreatininemia was independently correlated with the presence of NM/HE. After the induction therapy, ultrasound findings were resolved in all patients, and NM/HE did not influence ALL prognosis. All survivors had normal renal functions in long term. CONCLUSION The renal ultrasound abnormalities are not uncommon in children with leukemia at admission, without a negative impact on leukemia prognosis and on long-term renal functions.

Abstract
PROBLEM Adolescent survivors of cancer face an increased risk of chronic health conditions that can be improved by healthy behaviors. The purpose of this review is to synthesize the extent/prevalence of health behaviors (physical activity [PA], diet, human papillomavirus [HPV] vaccination, alcohol use, smoking, marijuana use, and unprotected sex) compared to age-matched peers and factors associated with those behaviors. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA Four databases (PubMed, EMBASE, PsycINFO, and CINAHL) were searched for peer-reviewed primary studies published since 2000 including adolescents aged 11-20 years-old, who had completed cancer treatments. Studies reporting at least one behavior were included. SAMPLE Of 1979 articles reviewed, 27 studies reporting any of the following health behaviors were included: PA, diet, HPV vaccination, alcohol use, smoking, marijuana use, or unprotected sex. RESULTS Adolescent survivors of cancer engaged less in health risk behaviors (alcohol use, smoking, marijuana use, and unprotected sex) or health-promoting behaviors (PA, healthy diet, and HPV vaccination) compared to age-matched peers. Their health behaviors were associated with psychosocial factors including emotional discomfort (e.g., feeling depressed or nervous) and influence of others (family, friends, and healthcare providers). CONCLUSIONS Although health risk behaviors in adolescent survivors of cancer are not as prevalent as in their peers, the survivors' low engagement in health-promoting behaviors including PA, diet, and HPV vaccination is concerning. IMPLICATIONS More research is needed to develop and evaluate interventions to improve health-promoting behaviors in adolescent survivors of cancer by strengthening or facilitating psychosocial resources.

Abstract
Purpose Ongoing survivorship care allows childhood cancer survivors the opportunity to address treatment-related health problems and improve their quality of life. However, many survivors do not adhere to their healthcare professionals’ recommendations and the factors supporting their adherence remain unclear. Patients and Methods Long-term childhood cancer survivors completed the “Re-engage” program, which assessed survivors’ heath needs and provided individualised recommendations for health interventions and surveillance developed by an expert multi-disciplinary team (MDT). We measured survivors’ recall of, and adherence to, their individualised healthcare recommendations at one and six months post-intervention. We conducted a series of univariate negative binomial regressions to investigate factors associated with the total number of recommendations that were correctly recalled and adhered to. Results We analysed the data of 25 childhood cancer survivors who participated in Re-engage (mean age = 31.9 years). On average, survivors were provided with 6.6 recommendations (range = 1–11). Survivors accurately recalled receiving 3.0 recommendations at one month post-intervention and 1.9 at six months. Survivors had adhered to an average of 1.3 recommendations by six-month follow-up. In total, 56% of participants reported that they did not adhere to any recommendations. By six-month follow-up, greater adherence to MDT recommendations was associated with having a history of a second cancer (B = 1.391; 95% confidence interval [CI], 0.686 to 2.097; p < 0.001) and reporting a greater level of worry about late effects (B = 1.381; 95% CI, 0.494 to 2.269; p = 0.002). Conclusion Survivors reported sub-optimal levels of adherence and demonstrated limited recall of their healthcare recommendations. Effective communication of recommendations and clear discussion of barriers limiting adherence, coupled with late effects education, may be critical to ensure that survivors engage with their recommendations, to improve their quality of life and health outcomes. Abstract
The serine/threonine kinase Akt is a major player in the phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K)/Akt/mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) signaling pathway, and its modulation impacts multiple cellular processes such as growth, proliferation, and survival. Several abnormalities in this pathway have been documented over the years, and these alterations were shown to have great implications in tumorigenesis and resistance to chemotherapy. Thus, multiple Akt inhibitors have been developed and tested in adult tumors, and some of them are currently undergoing phase I, II, and III clinical trials for distinct cancers that arise during adulthood. Despite that, the impact of these inhibitors is still not fully understood in pediatric tumors, and Akt-specific targeting seems to be a promising approach to treat children affected by cancers. This review summarizes recent available evidence of Akt inhibitors in pediatric cancers, from both preclinical and clinical studies. In short, we demonstrate the impact that Akt inhibition provides in tumorigenesis, and we suggest targeting the PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway, alone or in combination with other inhibitors, is a feasible tool to achieve better outcomes in pediatric tumors.

Abstract
Simple Summary Proton radiation therapy is a radiation oncology innovation expected to produce superior health-related quality of life (HRQoL) outcomes for children with cancer, compared to conventional photon radiation therapy. The review aim is to identify if clinical evidence exists to support the anticipated HRQoL improvements for children receiving proton radiation therapy. HRQoL outcomes of 1986 childhood cancer survivors are described. There is insufficient quality evidence to compare HRQoL outcomes between proton and photon radiation therapy. Therefore, the current state of the literature does not conclude that proton radiation therapy produces superior HRQoL outcomes for childhood cancer survivors. Despite recommendations, no evidence of routine HRQoL assessment using patient-reported outcomes in paediatric radiation oncology are identified. Further rigorous collection and reporting of HRQoL data is essential to improve patient outcomes, and to adequately compare HRQoL between radiation therapy modalities. Abstract Paediatric cancer patients have a risk of late side effects after curative treatment. Proton radiation therapy (PRT) has the potential to reduce the incidence and severity of toxicities produced by conventional photon radiation therapy (XRT), which may improve the health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in children. This systematic review aimed to identify the evidence of HRQoL outcomes in childhood cancer survivors following XRT and PRT. Medline, Embase, and Scopus were systematically searched. Thirty studies were analysed, which described outcomes of 1986 childhood cancer survivors. Most studies (n = 24) described outcomes for children with a central nervous system (CNS) tumour, four studies reported outcomes for children with a non-CNS tumour, and two studies combined CNS and non-CNS diagnoses within a single cohort. No studies analysed routine HRQoL collection during paediatric radiation oncology clinical practice. There is insufficient quality evidence to compare HRQoL outcomes between XRT and PRT. Therefore, the current state of the literature does not conclude that PRT produces superior HRQoL outcomes for childhood cancer survivors. Standardised clinical implementation of HRQoL assessment using patient-reported outcomes is recommended to contribute to improvements in clinical care whilst assisting the progression of knowledge comparing XRT and PRT.

Abstract
Exercise programs for young people after cancer are not part of regular oncological care. This study describes and evaluates a regional outdoor exercise program and presents data with regard to the promoting and inhibiting factors for participation among pediatric cancer survivors. Exercise options, number of participants, and the cohort were evaluated descriptively for one year. A self-developed questionnaire was used to evaluate satisfaction, mood, motivations, and barriers to exercise. Overall N = 26 survivors (14.6 ± 5.5 years) participated in at least one activity in 2019 including try-out days (N = 10) and active weekend camps (N = 2). No adverse events occurred in 302 physical activity hours. Twenty-one survivors participated in the survey. The largest motivational aspect to participate was “to try out a new sport” (83.9%). Survivors reported “good mood”, and ‘being happy’ after exercising. The largest barrier was concern about ‘not being able to keep up with others’ (38.1%). Around one-third (try-out day) and 50% (active weekend camp) of survivors did not feel confident to continue exercising outside the supervised exercise oncology program. This survey shows high enthusiasm for this exercise program with different outdoor activities and suggests that similar interventions may be accepted by this population.

Abstract
Nephrotoxicity is one of the most severe late-term side effects after chemotherapy. It is important to evaluate the possible risks and provide valuable treatment and follow-up for the patient. METHODS the data was observed from 50 patients from 0 till 18 years old that were treated for childhood cancer and was collected according to methodological recommendations. RESULTS 28 boys and 22 girls were included and the average age of all patients when the diagnosis was made was five years. 56% have faced kidney and urinary tract related complications. 75% of those patients have faced nephrotoxicity, 10,71 - urinary tract related complications and 14,29 have faced both - nephrotoxicity and urinary tract related complications. GFR was decreased in one case, increased in three cases and normal in the remaining cases. There was no statistical significance between kidney and urinary tract related complications and patient's age at the time of treatment, type of cancer (except for sarcomas), type of surgery or radiotherapy. Nephrotoxicity had statistical significance to occur more commonly during the first two years after treatment, while urinary tract related complications occurred more frequently during five years after treatment. Doxorubicin and Ifosfamide had statistical significance with kidney-related long-side effect; Lomustine also had a close relation. Chemotherapy drug's cumulative dose also had statistical significance of the same chemotherapy drugs. CONCLUSIONS this study suggests that chemotherapy drug and its cumulative dosage has the most influence on kidney and urinary tract related complications.

Abstract
CONTEXT Endocrine complications are common in pediatric brain tumor patients. OBJECTIVE We aimed to describe the endocrine follow-up of patients with primary brain tumors. METHODS This is a noninterventional observational study based on data collection from medical records of 221 patients followed at a Pediatric Endocrinology Department. RESULTS Median age at diagnosis was 6.7 years (range, 0-15.9), median follow-up 6.7 years (0.3-26.6), 48.9% female. Main tumor types were medulloblastoma (37.6%), craniopharyngioma (29.0%), and glioma (20.4%). By anatomic location, 48% were suprasellar (SS) and 52% non-suprasellar (NSS). Growth hormone deficiency (GHD) prevalence was similar in both groups (SS: 83.0%, NSS: 76.5%; P = 0.338), appearing at median 1.8 years (-0.8 to 12.4) after diagnosis; postradiotherapy GHD appeared median 1.6 years after radiotherapy (0.2-10.7). Hypothyroidism was more prevalent in SS (76.4%), than NSS (33.9%) (P < 0.001), as well as ACTH deficiency (SS: 69.8%, NSS: 6.1%; P < 0.001). Early puberty was similar in SS (16%) and NSS (12.2%). Hypogonadotropic hypogonadism was predominant in SS (63.1%) vs NSS (1.3%), P < 0.001, and postchemotherapy gonadal toxicity in NSS (29.6%) vs SS (2.8%), P < 0.001. Adult height was lower for NSS compared to target height (-1.0 SD, P < 0.0001) and to SS patients (P < 0.0001). Thyroid nodules were found in 13/45 patients (28.8%), including 4 cancers (4.8-11.5 years after radiotherapy). Last follow-up visit BMI was higher in both groups (P = 0.0001), and obesity incidence was higher for SS (46.2%) than NSS (17.4%). CONCLUSION We found a high incidence of early-onset endocrine disorders. An endocrine consultation and nutritional evaluation should be mandatory for all patients with a brain tumor, especially when the tumor is suprasellar or after hypothalamus/pituitary irradiation.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To compare obstetric outcomes in patients cryopreserving reproductive cells or tissues before gonadotoxic therapy. DESIGN A literature search was conducted following PRISMA guidelines on Embase, Medline, and Web of Science. Studies reporting obstetric outcomes in cancer patients who completed cryopreservation of oocyte, embryo, or ovarian tissue were included. SETTING Not applicable. PATIENT(S) Cancer patients attempting pregnancy using cryopreserved cells or tissues frozen before cancer therapy. INTERVENTION(S) Oocyte, embryo, or ovarian tissue cryopreservation for fertility preservation in cancer. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURE(S) The total numbers of clinical pregnancies, live births, and miscarriages in women attempting pregnancy using cryopreserved reproductive cells or tissues were calculated. A meta-analysis determined the effect size of each intervention. RESULT(S) The search returned 4,038 unique entries. Thirty-eight eligible studies were analyzed. The clinical pregnancy rates were 34.9%, 49.0%, and 43.8% for oocyte, embryo, and ovarian tissue cryopreservation, respectively. No significant differences were found among groups. The live birth rates were 25.8%, 35.3%, and 32.3% for oocyte, embryo, and ovarian tissue cryopreservation, respectively, with no significant differences among groups. The miscarriage rates were 9.2%, 16.9%, and 7.5% for oocyte, embryo, and ovarian tissue cryopreservation, respectively. Significantly fewer miscarriages occurred with ovarian tissue cryopreservation than with embryo cryopreservation. CONCLUSION(S) This enquiry is required to counsel cancer patients wishing to preserve fertility. Although the limitations of this study include heterogeneity, lack of quality studies, and low utilization rates, it serves as a starting point for comparison of reproductive and obstetric outcomes in patients returning for family-planning after gonadotoxic therapy.

Abstract
BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES Despite the pervasiveness of late effects in childhood cancer survivors, many parents feel inadequately informed about their child's risks. We assessed early parental knowledge of risks of late effects and predictors of increased knowledge. DESIGN/METHODS Parents of children receiving cancer treatment at Dana-Farber/Boston Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Center were surveyed about their knowledge of their child's likelihood of eight late effects. Individual risk for each late effect (yes/no) was assessed using the Children's Oncology Group's Long-Term Follow-Up Guidelines v5 as a reference. Descriptive statistics were used to summarize knowledge scores; ordinal logistic regression was used to identify predictors of higher knowledge. RESULTS Of 96 parent participants, 11 (11.46%) correctly identified all of their child's risks for the eight late effects. Five of eight was the median number of correctly identified late effect risks. Among 21 parents whose children were at risk for ototoxicity, 95% correctly identified this risk. Conversely, parents of at-risk children were less knowledgeable about risks of secondary malignancy (63% correct identification, of N = 94 at risk), cardiac toxicity (61%; N = 71), neurocognitive impairment (56%; N = 63), and infertility (28%; N = 61). Ordinal logistic regression analysis identified no significant differences in parental knowledge of late effect risks by any factors evaluated. CONCLUSIONS Gaps in parental knowledge of potential late effects of childhood cancer treatment emerge early in a child's care, and parents are more knowledgeable about some late effects, such as ototoxicity, than others, such as infertility. As no child- or parent-specific factors were associated with increased knowledge of late effect risks, interventions must be applied broadly.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Childhood cancer survivors are at an increased risk of impaired renal function. The aim of the present study was to assess the frequency of and risk factors for long-term renal dysfunction in patients with solid tumors using the estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR). METHODS We retrospectively evaluated eGFR in 52 patients with solid tumors (25 females, 27 males) who received chemotherapy and were regularly followed up in our institute. Decreased eGFR was defined as <90 ml/min/1.73 m2 . Cases under treatment and of death were excluded. RESULTS Median age at the diagnosis of the primary disease was 2.4 years (range, 0.0-23.9 years) and the median follow-up period was 98.4 months (range, 14.4-231.6 months). The mean cumulative incidence of decreased eGFR was 24.7 ± 2.2%. Multivariate analysis showed that decreased eGFR correlated with an older age at diagnosis (≥2.3 years) (hazard ratio 7.330, p = 0.018). CONCLUSION Although previous studies have indicated that the risk of long-term nephrotoxicity is higher in patients treated at a younger age, the present study showed that patients treated at an older age were at an increased risk of decreased eGFR.

Abstract
PURPOSE Parents are important facilitators of physical activity for children, yet little is known about the perceptions of parents of childhood cancer survivors. We investigated parent perceptions of their own and their child's physical activity levels after cancer treatment and examined associations with clinical, demographic, and psychosocial factors. METHODS We conducted a cross-sectional survey among 125 parents and 125 survivors. Parents reported on the perceived importance of their child being physically active and concerns regarding exercising after cancer treatment. RESULTS Parents and survivors self-reported median (range) of 127.5 (0-1260) and 220 (0-1470) min/week of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity. Most parents (n = 109, 98%) believed that physical activity was highly important for their child. Some parents (n = 19, 17%) reported concerns, most commonly regarding exercise safety (n = 7, 22%). Parents were more likely to perceive that their child should increase physical activity if their child was an adolescent and had high body fat percentage. CONCLUSIONS Physical activity levels varied widely among survivors, reflecting factors including parents' lifestyles, limited understanding of exercise benefits and perceptions of risk. Given survivors' insufficient physical activity levels and sedentary behaviour among families, embedding physical activity promotion into health systems and follow-up support could benefit the entire family unit.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Many childhood cancersurvivors experience at least one late effect of treatment, and both late effects and persistent cancer-related worry can negatively impact quality of life in survivorship. Little is known about the prevalence or impact of parental worry about late effects early in treatment. This study evaluated parental perceived likelihood, impact, and worry about late effects of childhood cancer. PROCEDURE We surveyed 96 parents of pediatric cancer patients at Dana-Farber/Boston Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Center within a year of diagnosis. Parents were asked about their experiences with late effects communication, general worry about late effects, and specific late effect worries. RESULTS Most (96%) parents valued information about late effects, and 93% considered late effects in their treatment decision-making. Yet, 24% could not recall receiving any information about late effects, and only 51% felt well prepared for potential late effects. Though only 20% of parents considered their child at high risk of experiencing late effects, 61% were extremely/very worried about late effects. Those who felt their child was at high risk of experiencing late effects were more likely to worry (OR = 4.7, P = 0.02). CONCLUSIONS Many parents feel inadequately informed about late effects of cancer treatment, and only one-fifth of parents consider late effects to be likely for their child. However, a majority of parents worry about late effects, including ones they think their child is unlikely to experience. Although some worry is anticipated, disproportionate worry may be mitigated by addressing both educational shortfalls and emotional concerns.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Estimates indicate that nearly eight percent of the over 500,000 survivors of childhood cancer living in the United States are frail in their fourth and fifth decades of life, a phenotype typically seen in geriatric populations. Participation in regular physical activity to improve physical fitness in healthy and diseased populations reduces risk for frail health by increasing physiologic reserve. However, physical activity may not have the same effects on fitness in childhood cancer survivors as it does among their peers with no cancer history. AIMS This scoping review seeks to describe associations between physical activity, physical fitness, chronic disease, and mortality in childhood cancer survivors. METHODS Relevant literature was identified through a comprehensive search in the PubMed, Web of Science, CINAHL, and Cochrane databases. A narrative synthesis was performed on observational studies that had physical activity or physical fitness clearly defined and compared with chronic disease outcomes. RESULTS A total of 595 studies were screened, and results from 11 studies are presented. Childhood cancer survivors who participate in regular physical activity have improved markers of cardiovascular health, decreased risk of overt cardiovascular disease, and decreased risk of all-cause mortality compared to survivors who are not physically active. Childhood cancer survivors who are physically fit have increased neurocognition, and decreased risk of all-cause mortality compared to survivor's who are not fit. The differential effects of physical activity on fitness and health among childhood cancer survivors when compared to peers is potentially related to treatment exposures that damage cardiovascular tissue and impact regenerative potential. CONCLUSION Research is needed to determine the optimal timing, frequency, intensity, and duration of physical activity necessary to optimize fitness in childhood cancer survivors.

Physical activity levels, exercise preferences, and exercise barriers in Korean children and adolescents after cancer treatment. Support Care Cancer 2021; 30:1787-1796. Abstract
PURPOSE The purpose of the current study was to explore physical activity (PA) levels, exercise preferences, and perceived barriers to PA in childhood cancer survivors. METHODS This cross-sectional study surveyed 120 childhood cancer survivors aged 8-18 years from the pediatric oncology center in South Korea between March and August 2017. The modified Exercise & Quality of Life questionnaire, Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-based Survey, and Godin Leisure-Time Questionnaire were used to assess PA levels, preferences, and exercise barriers. RESULTS Among 120 participants (72 boys, 48 girls) whose average age at the time of the survey was 14.57 ± 3.00 years and the average age at diagnosis was 8.22 years, the three most common diagnoses were acute leukemia (43.3%), brain tumor (13.3%), and malignant lymphoma (10.8%). Only 16 participants (5%) met the PA recommendations for children (at least 60 min of moderate PA per day). The most preferred sporting activities included soccer, basketball, strengthening exercises, badminton, dance, and taekwondo. They generally had positive attitudes toward exercise, and more than 63% of participants intended to exercise the following month. The five most prevalent perceived barriers to exercise were lack of time, poor health, reluctance to sweat, lack of exercise skills, and no exercise partners. CONCLUSIONS While most childhood cancer survivors did not meet the PA recommendation, most of them agreed that exercise was beneficial, and they intended to participate in the exercise. Exercise and PA programs should be tailored to the personal health and preferences of childhood cancer survivors.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Survivors of childhood, adolescent and young adult (CAYA) cancer may develop treatment-induced chronic liver disease. Surveillance guidelines can improve survivors' health outcomes. However, current recommendations vary, leading to uncertainty about optimal screening. The International Late Effects of Childhood Cancer Guideline Harmonization Group has developed recommendations for the surveillance of late hepatotoxicity after CAYA cancer. METHODS Evidence-based methods based on the GRADE framework were used in guideline development. A multidisciplinary guideline panel performed systematic literature reviews, developed evidence summaries, appraised the evidence, and formulated recommendations on the basis of evidence, clinical judgement, and consideration of benefits versus the harms of the surveillance while allowing for flexibility in implementation across different health care systems. RESULTS The guideline strongly recommends a physical examination and measurement of serum liver enzyme concentrations (ALT, AST, gGT, ALP) once at entry into long-term follow-up for survivors treated with radiotherapy potentially exposing the liver (moderate- to high-quality evidence). For survivors treated with busulfan, thioguanine, mercaptopurine, methotrexate, dactinomycin, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), or hepatic surgery, or with a history of chronic viral hepatitis or sinusoidal obstruction syndrome, similar surveillance for late hepatotoxicity once at entry into LTFU is reasonable (low-quality evidence/expert opinion, moderate recommendation). For survivors who have undergone HSCT and/or received multiple red blood cell transfusions, surveillance for iron overload with serum ferritin is strongly recommended once at long-term follow-up entry. CONCLUSIONS These evidence-based, internationally-harmonized recommendations for the surveillance of late hepatic toxicity in cancer survivors can inform clinical care and guide future research of health outcomes for CAYA cancer survivors.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Medical financial burden includes material, behavioral, and psychological hardship and has been underinvestigated among adult survivors of childhood cancer. METHODS A survey from 698 survivors and 210 siblings from the Childhood Cancer Survivor Study was analyzed. The intensity of financial hardship was estimated across 3 domains: 1) material, including conditions that arise from medical expenses; 2) behavioral, including coping behaviors to manage medical expenses; and 3) psychological hardship resulting from worries about medical expenses and insurance, as measured by the number of instances of each type of financial hardship (0, 1-2, and ≥3 instances). Multivariable logistic regressions were conducted to examine the clinical and sociodemographic predictors of experiencing financial hardship (0-2 vs ≥3 instances). RESULTS The intensity of financial hardship did not significantly differ between survivors and siblings. Survivors reported more instances of material hardship than siblings (1-2 instances: 27.2% of survivors vs 22.6% of siblings; ≥3 instances: 15.9% of survivors vs 11.4% siblings; overall P = .03). In multivariable regressions, insurance was protective against all domains of financial hardship (behavioral odds ratio [OR], 0.12; 95% confidence interval [CI], 0.06-0.22; material OR, 0.37; 95% CI, 0.19-0.71; psychological OR, 0.10; 95% CI, 0.05-0.21). Survivors who were older at diagnosis, female, and with chronic health conditions generally had higher levels of hardship. Brain radiation and alkylating agents were associated with higher levels of hardship. CONCLUSIONS Material, behavioral, and psychological financial burden among survivors of childhood cancer is common.

Abstract
BACKGROUND For survivors of childhood cancer, awareness of personal health risks is a critical component of long-term health management. OBJECTIVE To evaluate the awareness of the diagnosis, treatment and risk of late effects among survivors of childhood cancer in Hong Kong. METHODS Between June 2019 and March 2020, this cross-sectional study recruited 155 adult survivors (mean age = 26.9, standard deviation [SD] = 6.4 years) and 45 parents of paediatric survivors (mean age = 11.1, SD = 3.6 years) from a long-term follow-up clinic. At >10 years post-treatment (mean = 13.4, SD = 7.6 years), they completed a structured questionnaire to report their cancer-specific knowledge. Multiple linear regression analysis was conducted to identify clinical, socioeconomic and behavioural factors associated with poor awareness. RESULTS The majority of participants accurately recalled their diagnoses (73.5%) and major treatment modalities (chemotherapy 92.4%, radiation 82.9% and surgery 88.2%). However, less than half (45%) of the participants recognized more than 25% of the total late effects for which they were at risk. The highest levels of awareness were reported for endocrine problems (49%), neurocognitive impairment (44%) and secondary cancers (43%), and the lowest for peripheral neuropathy (21%) and vision problems (23%). Compared with survivors of haematological malignancies, those of central nervous system (CNS) tumours (standardized estimate [B] = -9.33, 95% confidence interval [95% CI]: -13.41 to -5.26) and non-CNS solid tumours (B = -8.47, 95% CI: -12.39 to -4.94) had less knowledge about their diagnosis. Retaining medical records (P < .0001) and better medical information-seeking habits (P = .048) were associated with better awareness. CONCLUSIONS Survivors of childhood cancer in Hong Kong have deficient awareness of their personal health risks. They may benefit from the provision of a survivorship care plan and personalized education regarding treatment-related late effects. Abstract
BACKGROUND In childhood cancer survivors (CCSs) anthracycline-related cardiotoxicity is an important cause of morbidity and late mortality, but the optimal modality of cardiac surveillance still remains to be defined. The aim of this study was to assess whether non-invasive echocardiography-based functional cardiac measures can detect early subclinical myocardial changes in long-term pediatric cancer survivors who received anthracycline therapy. METHODS Twenty anthracycline-treated long-term CCSs and 20 age, sex, and body surface area matched healthy controls were enrolled in this study. Among cancer survivors, mean age at diagnosis was 6.5 ± 4.4 years, and the mean cumulative anthracycline dose was 234.5 ± 87.4 mg/m2. All subjects underwent a comprehensive functional echocardiographic protocol study including two-dimensional echocardiography (2D Echo), tissue Doppler imaging (TDI), speckle tracking (STE) and three-dimensional echocardiography (3D Echo). Patients were studied at a mean follow-up time of 6.5 ± 2.8 years from the end of therapy. RESULTS No significant differences in two-dimensional left ventricle ejection fraction (LVEF), diastolic parameters and speckle tracking (STE)-derived myocardial strain were observed between patients treated with anthracyclines and controls. Myocardial performance index was significantly prolonged (p = 0.005) and three-dimensional LVEF was significantly reduced (p = 0.002) in CCSs compared to controls, even though most values were within the normal range. There were no significant correlations between 2D, STE, and 3D echocardiographic parameters and age at diagnosis or duration of follow-up. No significant differences in echocardiographic parameters were found when stratifying cancer patients according to established risk factors for anthracycline cardiomyopathy. CONCLUSIONS This study found significantly reduced three-dimensional LVEF in CCSs compared with controls, despite no significant differences in two-dimensional LVEF and longitudinal strain values. These findings suggest that long-term CCSs who had received anthracycline therapy may be found to have subclinical features of myocardial dysfunction. However, further studies are needed to demonstrate the validity of new imaging techniques, including STE and 3D Echo, to identify patients at risk for cardiomyopathy in the long-term follow-up of CCSs.
