Abstract
BACKGROUND Tachycardia-bradycardia syndrome (TBS) is a subtype of sick sinus syndrome characterized by prolonged sinus pause (≥3 s) following termination of tachyarrhythmias, primarily atrial fibrillation (AF). There is controversy regarding whether the long-term prognosis of AF ablation is superior to pacemaker implantation. This study aimed to compare the effects of AF ablation and pacemaker therapy in patients with TBS. METHODS We conducted a comprehensive search of electronic databases, including PubMed, Cochrane, EmBase, Web of Science, and Chinese BioMedical, up until December 1, 2023. We included studies that reported the effects of AF ablation vs pacemaker therapy in patients with TBS. From this search, we identified 5 studies comprising 843 participants with TBS who underwent catheter AF ablation or pacemaker therapy. RESULTS Our meta-analysis revealed that AF ablation and pacemaker therapy had similar effects on cardiovascular death (odds ratio [OR] = 0.62 and 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.14-2.65), procedural complications (OR = 1.53 and 95% CI: 0.67-3.48), and cardiovascular rehospitalization (OR = 0.57 and 95% CI: 0.26-1.22). However, AF ablation provided greater benefits than pacemaker therapy in terms of all-cause mortality (OR = 0.37 and 95% CI: 0.17-0.82), thromboembolism (OR = 0.25 and 95% CI: 0.12-0.49), stroke (OR = 0.28 and 95% CI: 0.13-0.57), heart failure (OR = 0.27 and 95% CI: 0.13-0.56), freedom from AF (OR = 23.32 and 95% CI: 7.46-72.92), and prevention of progression to persistent AF (OR = 0.12 and 95% CI: 0.06-0.24). Furthermore, AF ablation resulted in a reduced need for antiarrhythmic agents (OR = 0.21 and 95% CI: 0.08-0.59). CONCLUSION AF ablation can effectively reduce the risk of all-cause mortality, thromboembolism, stroke, heart failure, and progression to persistent AF in patients with TBS. Additionally, it may eliminate the need for further pacemaker therapy in most cases after ablation. Therefore, AF ablation is considered superior to pacemaker therapy in the management of patients with TBS.

Abstract
Nonlinear interactions of spin-waves and their quanta, magnons, have emerged as prominent candidates for interference-based technology, ranging from quantum transduction to antiferromagnetic spintronics. Yet magnon multiplication in the terahertz (THz) spectral region represents a major challenge. Intense, resonant magnetic fields from THz pulse-pairs with controllable phases and amplitudes enable high order THz magnon multiplication, distinct from non-resonant nonlinearities such as the high harmonic generation by below-band gap electric fields. Here, we demonstrate exceptionally high-order THz nonlinear magnonics. It manifests as 7th-order spin-wave-mixing and 6th harmonic magnon generation in an antiferromagnetic orthoferrite. We use THz two-dimensional coherent spectroscopy to achieve high-sensitivity detection of nonlinear magnon interactions up to six-magnon quanta in strongly-driven many-magnon correlated states. The high-order magnon multiplication, supported by classical and quantum spin simulations, elucidates the significance of four-fold magnetic anisotropy and Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya symmetry breaking. Moreover, our results shed light on the potential quantum fluctuation properties inherent in nonlinear magnons.

Abstract
An efficient perovskite solar cell (PSC) has the following characteristics: (1) large perovskite grain size; (2) small ion migration; (3) low defect density states. Here, benzoic acid was employed as an additive to a perovskite solution to improve the thin film quality. Surprisingly, 1.0%-BA can implement all of these features. Therefore, the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of the champion PSC is 18.05%, which is superior to that of the control device (15.42%). In addition, BA-doped PSC kept 86% of its primary PCE after 30 days (RH: 35%), but the control device only retained 75% under the same conditions. The improvement of its stability is because of the inhibition of the cation migration of perovskite by the addition of BA and the passivation of perovskite defects. The results can acquire a better understanding of the potential applications of small organic molecules in improving the PCE and stability of PSC devices.

Abstract
Sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (CMCNa) application has been a promising approach to improve soil quality. The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of CMC-Na on soil infiltration, evaporation, water-salt distribution, crop growth, water use efficiency and net profit (Net) in a coastal saline-alkali soil maize-wheat cropping system (MWCS). Five CMC-Na application amounts (0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.4 and 0.6 g kg-1) were designed for the soil column experiment indoor, and five CMC-Na application amounts were used in 2019-2020 field experiment (CK: 0, C10: 10 kg ha-1, C20: 10 kg ha-1, C30: 10 kg ha-1 and C50: 10 kg ha-1), No treatment will be applied in 2021. The results showed that (1) CMC-Na treatment reduced soil cumulative infiltration, infiltration rate, daily evaporation, and cumulative evaporation. (2) After the application of CMCNa, the average soil water storage (SWS) in the 0-60 cm soil layer increased, and soil salinity (SSC) decreased in most treatments. (3) In the 2019-2020, the maize aboveground biomass (B), yield (Y) and water use efficiency (WUE) were the highest under the C20 and C30 treatments, which were 15.24 and 15.32 t ha-1, 5.67 and 5.49 t ha-1 and 1.74 and 1.52 kg ha-1 mm-1, respectively, and the wheat under C30 treatment is the highest, which were 10.98 t ha-1, 5.27 t ha-1 and 1.78 kg ha-1 mm-1. (4) A dose of 25.5 kg ha-1 and 38.9 kg ha-1 was recommended as the most optimal CMC-Na application for maize and wheat in coastal saline alkali soil, respectively.

Abstract
BACKGROUND We explored the relationship between levels of serum uric acid (UA) and cognitive impairment in people with schizophrenia to order to better protect and improve cognitive function in such patients. METHODS A uricase method evaluated serum UA levels in 82 individuals with first-episode schizophrenia and in 39 healthy controls. The Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale (BPRS) and the event-related potential P300 were used to assess the patient's psychiatric symptoms and cognitive functioning. The link between serum UA levels, BPRS scores, and P300 was investigated. RESULTS Prior to treatment, serum UA levels and latency N3 in the study group were significantly higher than in the control group, whereas the amplitude P3 was considerably lower. After therapy, the study group's BPRS scores, serum UA levels, latency N3, and amplitude P3 were lower than before treatment. According to correlation analysis, serum UA levels in the pre-treatment study group significantly positively correlated with BPRS score and latency N3 but not amplitude P3. After therapy, serum UA levels were no longer substantially related to the BPRS score or amplitude P3 but strongly and positively correlated with latency N3. CONCLUSIONS First-episode schizophrenia patients have higher serum UA levels than the general population which partly reflects poor cognitive performance. Improving patients' cognitive function may be facilitated by lowering serum UA levels.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES The concept of "immunity debt" has gained attention in the public sphere, and some have argued that the recent out-of-season resurgence of respiratory syncytial virus demonstrates the presence of immunity debt. This study investigates the existence of immunity debt in the context of influenza. STUDY DESIGN Interrupted time series analysis. METHODS The positivity rate of influenza in the USA and England was gathered from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the UK Health Security Agency. A time series model with an autoregressive approach was used to model the dynamics of positivity rate. Binary indicator variables were included in the model to account for the impact of non-pharmaceutical interventions (NPIs) and immunity debt. RESULTS The impact of NPIs and immunity debt on the positivity rate of influenza was found to be statistically significant. CONCLUSIONS This present work provides evidence supporting the existence of immunity debt in influenza in both the USA and England in the immediate month following the removal of NPIs such as lockdowns and facemask mandates.

Abstract
The arid regions of northwest China suffer from water shortages, low land quality, and a fragile ecological environment, while social and economic development has increased the ecological and environmental load. The spatiotemporal pattern and evolutionary trend of ecological environmental quality were investigated by constructing a remote sensing-based ecological environmental index (EQI) evaluation model incorporating four indicators: drought index (DI), soil erosion index (SEI), greenness index (GI), and carbon exchange index (CEI). The study found that between 2001 and 2020, the DI, the SEI, and the CEI in the northwest arid region exhibited a downward trend with reduction rates of - 3e-05, -0.0006, and -0.0018, respectively. However, the GI demonstrated an upward trend, with a growth rate of 0.002. The average EQI in 2020 was 0.315, indicating a fair grade, with only 11.56% falling above the medium level. A general increasing trend was observed throughout the study period in EQI, with an incremental rate of 0.0002. Areas with future improvements in EQI accounted for 57.547% and were principally located in the eastern part of Inner Mongolia, Qinghai, and the northern and southern portions of Xinjiang. Notably, land use was significantly correlated with EQI (p < 0.01), with a hierarchy of effects that ran: forest land (0.678) > cultivated land (0.422) > grassland (0.382) > wasteland (0.138). The highly robust findings presented here offer innovative methods for ecological and environmental monitoring in the arid region of the northwest, with potential implications at an international scale.

Abstract
Aging affects the number and function of gamma-delta (γδ) T cells in a tissue-specific manner, modifying the risk for inflammatory disease. These aging-related γδT-cell variations in gingival tissues that could increase the risk for inflammation and periodontal disease remain unknown. Here we sought to identify quantitative and qualitative variations in gingival γδT cells associated with aging that could have an impact in oral immunoinflammatory responses. For this, gingival tissues from young (4 mo) and aged (24 mo) male and female mice were collected and analyzed by flow cytometry. Cell suspensions were stimulated and stained with eFluor450 (cell viability), anti-CD45 (hematopoietic cells), anti-CD3 (lymphocytes), anti-TCRγδ (γδT cells), anti-IL-15rα (cell proliferation), and anti-Notch-3 (senescence marker). Detection of intracellular cytokines IL-17A and interferon γ (IFNγ) was performed. Gingival expression of specific γ- and δ-chains and cytokines was evaluated by quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction. A significantly higher number of IL-17A-producing γδT cells and IL-17A expression levels were observed in gingival tissues from aged females but not males. Similarly, the number of gingival Notch-3+ γδT cells increased with aging only in females. IL-15rα was not detected in gingival γδT cells. Chains γ1, 2, 4, 5, 6, and 7 as well as δ1, 2, 4, and 6 were detected. Detection levels of all γ chains except γ1 as well as δ1 and δ2 changed with aging in males, females, or both. Interestingly, number of IL-17A-producing conventional T cells similarly increased with aging only in females. Both sexes showed increased IFNγ+ conventional T-cell numbers with aging; however, it reached significance only in females. In conclusion, the number of gingival IL-17A-producing γδT cells and IL-17A expression increase naturally with aging specifically in females. This sexual dimorphism in gingival γδT and conventional Th17 cell numbers and phenotypes suggests distinct aging-related mechanisms of periodontitis in males and females.

Abstract
PURPOSE To explore the key genes and molecular pathways in the progression of thyroid papillary carcinoma (PTC) promoted by testosterone using RNA-sequencing technology, and to provide new drug targets for improving the therapeutic effect of PTC. METHODS Orchiectomy (ORX) was carried out to construct ORX mouse models. TPC-1 cells were subcutaneously injected for PTC formation in mice, and the tumor tissues were collected for RNA-seq. The key genes were screened by bioinformatics technology. Tnnt1 expression in PTC cells was knocked down or overexpressed by transfection. Cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8), colony formation assay, scratch assay and transwell assay were adopted, respectively, for the detection of cell proliferation, colony formation, migration and invasion. Besides, quantification real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) and western blot were utilized to determine the mRNA and protein expression levels of genes in tissues or cells. RESULTS Both estradiol and testosterone promoted the growth of PTC xenografts. The key gene Tnnt1 was screened and obtained by bioinformatics technology. Functional analysis revealed that overexpression of Tnnt1 could markedly promote the proliferation, colony formation, migration, invasion, and epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) process of PTC cells, as well as could activate p38/JNK pathway. In addition, si-Tnt1 was able to inhibit the cancer-promoting effect of testosterone. CONCLUSION Based on the outcomes of bioinformatics and basic experiments, it is found that testosterone can promote malignant behaviors such as growth, migration, invasion and EMT process of PTC by up-regulating Tnnt1 expression. In addition, the function of testosterone may be achieved by activating p38/JNK signaling pathway.

Abstract
PURPOSE Thyroid cell lines are useful tools to study the physiology and pathology of the thyroid, however, they do not produce or secrete hormones in vitro. On the other hand, the detection of endogenous thyroid hormones in primary thyrocytes was often hindered by the dedifferentiation of thyrocytes ex vivo and the presence of large amounts of exogenous hormones in the culture medium. This study aimed to create a culture system that could maintain the function of thyrocytes to produce and secrete thyroid hormones in vitro. METHODS We established a Transwell culture system of primary human thyrocytes. Thyrocytes were seeded on a porous membrane in the inner chamber of the Transwell with top and bottom surfaces exposed to different culture components, mimicking the 'lumen-capillary' structure of the thyroid follicle. Moreover, to eliminate exogenous thyroid hormones from the culture medium, two alternatives were tried: a culture recipe using hormone-reduced serum and a serum-free culture recipe. RESULTS The results showed that primary human thyrocytes expressed thyroid-specific genes at higher levels in the Transwell system than in the monolayer culture. Hormones were detected in the Transwell system even in the absence of serum. The age of the donor was negatively related to the hormone production of thyrocytes in vitro. Intriguingly, primary human thyrocytes cultured without serum secreted higher levels of free triiodothyronine (FT3) than free thyroxine (FT4). CONCLUSION This study confirmed that primary human thyrocytes could maintain the function of hormone production and secretion in the Transwell system, thus providing a useful tool to study thyroid function in vitro.

Abstract
Objective: Explore the relationship between tip of the left bundle branch pacing lead and anatomic location of left bundle branch as well as the mechanism of left bundle branch current of injury. To clarify the clinical value of left bundle branch current of injury during operation. Methods: The pacing leads were implanted in the hearts of two living swines. Intraoperative electrophysiological study confirmed that the left bundle branch or only the deep left ventricular septum was captured at low output. Immediately after operation, the gross specimen of swine hearts was stained with iodine to observe the gross distribution of His-purkinje conduction system on the left ventricular endocardium and its relationship with the leads. Subsequently, the swine hearts were fixed with formalin solution, and the pacing leads were removed after the positions were marked. The swine hearts were then sectioned and stained with Masson and Goldner trichrome, and the relationship between the anatomic location of the conduction system and the tip of the lead was observed under a light microscope. Results: After iodine staining of the specimen, the His-purkinje conduction system was observed with the naked eye in a net-like distribution, and the lead tip was screwed deeply and fixed in the left bundle branch area of the left ventricular subendocardium in the ventricular septum. Masson and Goldner trichrome staining showed that left bundle branch pacing lead directly passed through the left bundle branch when there was left bundle branch potential with left bundle branch current of injury, while it was not directly contact the left bundle branch when there was left bundle branch potential without left bundle branch current of injury. Conclusion: The left bundle branch current of injury observed on intracardiac electrocardiogram during His-purkinje conduction system pacing suggests that the pacing lead directly contacted the conduction bundle or its branches, therefore, the captured threshold was relatively low. Left bundle branch current of injury can be used as an important anatomic and electrophysiological evidence of left bundle branch capture.

Abstract
The rainfall runoff process is a critical factor in determining the transport of surface materials. Simulating the surface runoff process is fundamental to accurately characterize soil erosion and soil nutrient loss. This research aims to develop a comprehensive simulation model for rainfall-interception-infiltration-runoff under vegetation cover conditions. The model integrates three key components: a vegetation interception model, Philip's infiltration model, and a kinematic wave model. By combining these models, an analytical solution is derived to simulate slope runoff considering vegetation interception and infiltration during non-constant rainfall events. To validate the reliability of the analytical solution, a numerical solution was obtained using the Pressimann Box scheme method and compared with the analytical results. The comparison confirms the accuracy and robustness of the analytical solution (R2 = 0.984, RMSE = 0.0049 cm/min, NS = 0.969). Moreover, this study investigates the influence of two significant parameters, Intm and k, on the production flow process. The analysis reveals that both parameters exert a significant impact on the timing of production initiation and the magnitude of runoff. Specifically, Intm exhibits a positive correlation with runoff intensity, while k displays a negative correlation. This research introduces a novel simulation method that enhances our understanding and modeling of rainfall production and convergence under complex slope conditions. The proposed model provides valuable insights into rainfall-runoff dynamics, particularly in scenarios characterized by varying rainfall patterns and vegetation cover. Overall, this study contributes to advancing the field of hydrological modeling and offers a practical approach for quantifying soil erosion and nutrient loss under different environmental conditions.

Abstract
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE(S) To mitigate tumor displacement caused by respiratory movement and to enhance positioning accuracy in liver cancer patients during radiotherapy, abdominal compression fixation devices are commonly employed. However, the efficacy of using surface guided radiotherapy (SGRT) to further improve patient setup accuracy in combination with abdominal compression has not been fully established. Hence, we aimed to investigate this in our study. MATERIALS/METHODS In this study, we analyzed data from 11 patients with liver cancer. The patients were positioned using isocentric skin markers and the abdominal compression fixture was placed on an accurate scale reading based on the records from CT simulation. A cone-beam CT (CBCT) scan was performed to assess setup errors. These setup errors represent data for the control group - Skin marker group. The patients were then adjusted to the correct treatment position based on CBCT correction and the SGRT system was activated for monitoring. Care was taken for the region of interest drawn to avoid the abdominal compression device for all patients. The reference surface used for monitoring was the captured VRT surface rather than DICOM. The six degrees of freedom values detected by the SGRT system were recorded, representing data for the test group - SGRT group. Both sets of data were analyzed using statistical software. The errors were presented as median (interquartile range) and the differences between the two groups were tested using paired Wilcoxon rank sum test, with P < 0.05 considered as significant. RESULTS A total of 60 CBCT images were analyzed, the median values and interquartile ranges are presented in the Table. The results showed that the accuracy of the SGRT group in the x and y directions was significantly better than the skin marker group (P < 0.05). The median values for the x (transverse) direction were 0.25(0.09-0.43) cm and 0.09(0.05-0.19) cm for the skin marker and SGRT groups, respectively. The median values for the y (longitudinal) direction were 0.54 (0.29-0.79) cm and 0.14 (0.07-0.24) cm for the skin marker and SGRT groups, respectively. The results for the z (vertical) direction, Rz (rotation), Ry (roll) and Rx (pitch) rotation directions were also analyzed similarly. CONCLUSION The findings of this study suggest that compared to skin markers, SGRT can improve the accuracy of patient positioning in liver cancer radiotherapy with abdominal compression, potentially reducing unnecessary radiation exposure from CBCT imaging due to inaccurate positioning. Further multicenter prospective clinical trials are required to confirm these results.

Abstract
Findings of prior studies about the efficacy and safety of non-vitamin K antagonist oral anticoagulants (NOACs) in patients (≥80 years of age) with atrial fibrillation (AF) are controversial. So we performed a meta-analysis to evaluate the efficacy and safety of NOACs versus vitamin K antagonists (VKAs) in patients (≥80 years of age) with AF. A systematic review of PubMed, Cochrane, Embase, Web of Science and Chinese BioMedical databases was conducted until 1 October 2022. Studies reporting the effects and safety of NOACs versus warfarin in patients (≥80 years of age) with AF were included. Two authors independently performed study selection and data extraction. Discrepancies were resolved by consensus or through an independent third reviewer. Data were synthesised according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews guidelines. We identified 15 studies providing data of 70 446 participants (≥80 years of age) suffering from AF. According to the meta-analysis (odds ratio (OR) (95% confidence interval, CI)), NOACs conferred better efficacy profile than VKAs in stroke and systemic embolism (0.8 (0.73-0.88)) and all-cause mortality (0.61 (0.57-0.65)). Otherwise, NOACs conferred a better safety profile than VKAs in major bleeding (0.76 (0.70-0.83)) and intracranial haemorrhage (ICH; 0.57 (0.47-0.68)). In conclusion, for patients (≥80 years of age) with AF, the risks of stroke and systemic embolism, all-cause mortality, were lower in NOACs compared to warfarin. The risks of major bleeding and ICH were also lower in NOACs compared to warfarin. NOACs showed better efficacy and safety than warfarin.

Abstract
The remediation of agricultural soil contaminated by antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) is of great significance for protecting food safety and human health. Reducing the availability of copper in soil may control coresistance to ARGs. However, the feasibility of applying nano-biochar and Bacillus cereus to mitigate the spread of ARGs in Cu contaminated soil remains unclear. Therefore, this study investigated the use of biochar with different particle sizes (2 % apple branch biochar and 0.5 % nano-biochar) and 3 g m-2B. cereus in a 60-day pot experiment with growing lettuce. The effects of single and combined application on the abundances of ARGs in Cu-contaminated soil (Cu = 200 mg kg-1) were compared, and the related mechanisms were explored. Studies have shown that the addition of biochar alone is detrimental to mitigating ARGs in soil-lettuce systems. The combined application of 3 g m-2B. cereus and 0.5 % nano-biochar effectively inhibited the proliferation of ARGs in Cu-contaminated soil, and 3 g m-2B. cereus effectively inhibited the proliferation of ARGs in lettuce. Partial least squares-path modeling and network analysis showed that bacterial communities and mobile genetic elements were the key factors that affected the abundances of ARGs in rhizosphere soil, and Cu resistance genes and bioavailable copper (acid extractable state Cu (F1) + reducing state Cu (F2)) had less direct impacts. The bacterial community was the key factor that affected the abundances of ARGs in lettuce. Rhodobacter (Proteobacteria), Corynebacterium (Actinobacteria), and Methylobacterium (Proteobacteria) may have been hosts of ARGs in lettuce plants. B. cereus and nano-biochar affected the abundances of ARGs by improving the soil properties and reducing the soil bioavailability of Cu, as well as directly or indirectly changing the bacterial community composition in soil and lettuce, thereby impeding the transport of ARGs to aboveground plant parts.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the endoscopic ultrasonographic (EUS) characteristics of submucosal lesions of upper digestive tract suspected gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST) and their correlation with biological behaviors and pathological risk grade of the tumors. Methods: Retrospective cohort study. The EUS findings, follow-up review, surgical treatment and pathological data of patients with suspected GIST at the Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Center of Peking University People's Hospital from January 2013 to April 2021 were collected. All samples were divided into follow-up group and treatment group based on the pathological condition and the patient's treatment intention. According to whether or not the tumor was enlarged in EUS, the follow-up group was divided into non-enlarged group and enlarged group. Paired T-test was used to compare the lesion size before and after follow-up, and logistic regression was used to analyze the risk factors of tumor enlargement. According to the treatment methods, the treatment group was further divided into endoscopic treatment group and surgical treatment group. According to the pathological results and risk grade, the treatment group was further divided into the low-risk group and the medium-risk group. The risk factors of pathological malignant risk were analyzed by logistic regression, and the tumor diameter of patients with moderate or above pathological risk was predicted by receiver operation characteristic (ROC) curve. The relationship between the findings of EUS and the progression and pathological risk of GIST were also explored. Results: Seventy-three cases including 23 males and 50 females, with an age of 58 (30-88) years, were included in the follow-up group, with a mean lesion diameter of (1.21±0.49) cm before follow-up, median follow-up interval of 33.8 months, and a lesion diameter of (1.18±0.49) cm after follow-up. There was no significant difference (all P>0.05) in lesion diameter between before and after follow-up. There was no significant difference (all P>0.05) between tumor enlargement group (18 cases, 24.7%) and non-enlargement group (55 cases, 75.3%). One hundred and thirty-eight cases, including 52 males and 86 females, with an age of 60 (19-84) years, were enrolled in the treatment group, with a mean EUS estimated diameter of (2.55±1.35) cm and pathological diameters of (3.43±2.42) cm. Ninety-five (68.8%) of these cases were pathologically confirmed as GIST while 43 cases were diagnosed as other tumor types, including 37 benign tumors and 6 malignant tumors. In multifactorial logistic regression analysis, only the increase of tumor diameter [OR (95%CI): 1.800 (1.172-2.766), P=0.007] was a risk factor for pathological intermediate or higher risk. The optimal tumor diameter for predicting pathological intermediate or higher risk using ROC curve analysis was 2.75 cm, with a sensitivity 71.4%, specificity 79.0%, Youden index 0.5 and area under ROC curve 0.807 (95%CI: 0.703-0.909). Conclusions: EUS is essential for assessing the risk of progression and malignancy of submucosal lesions of upper digestive tract suspected GIST. For lesions of small diameter, the interval of follow-up shall be relatively extended while the indication of treatment could be partially waived.

Abstract
Identifying and predicting the impacts of climate change are crucial for various purposes, such as maintaining biodiversity, agricultural production, ecological security, and environmental conservation in different regions. In this paper, we used the surface pressure (SP), surface temperature (ST), 2-m air temperature (AT), 2-m dewpoint temperature (DT), 10-m wind speed (WS), precipitation (PRE), relative humidity (RH), actual evapotranspiration (ETa), potential evapotranspiration (ETP), total solar radiation (TRs), net solar radiation (NRs), UV intensity (UVI), sunshine duration (SD), convective available potential energy (CAPE) as factors in our climate modeling. The spatiotemporal distribution characteristics of the climate factors were analyzed and identified based on historical data for China from 1950 to 2020 using factor analysis and a grey model (GM (1,1)), and their future change characteristics were predicted. The results show that there is a strong correlation between climate factors. ST, AT, DT, PRE, RH, and ETa are the main factors that have the potential to cause heavy rain, thunderstorms, and other severe weather. Meanwhile, PRE, RH, TRs, NRs, UVI, and SD are among the major factors linked to climate change. Specifically, SP, ST, AT, and WS are among the minor factors in most areas. The top ten provinces in terms of combined factor scores are Heilongjiang, Neimenggu, Qinghai, Beijing, Shandong, Xizang, Shanxi, Tianjin, Guangdong, and Henan. The trend of climate factors in China is expected to remain relatively stable over the next 30 years, with a noteworthy decrease observed in CAPE compared to the past 71 years. Our findings can help to better mitigate the risks associated with climate change and enhance resilience; they also provide a scientific basis for environmental, ecological, and agricultural systems to cope with climate change.

Abstract
Along with the recognized therapeutic outcomes of regenerative medicine, extracellular vesicles and their exosome subsets have become an alternative option for wound healing. Periplaneta americana L. (PA), an ancient and traditional medicinal insect, has been around for 300 million years, and displays magic formidable vitality and environmental adaptive ability. The linkage between intrinsic amputation regeneration feature and the acknowledged wound healing medicinal benefit of PA has never been revealed. Herein, inspired by the ability of exosomes to participate in the interkingdom communication, we explored whether this effect was ascribed to PA derived exosome-like nanoparticles (PA-ELNs). PA-ELNs were extracted by differential velocity centrifugation approach and characterized by DLS, NTA and TEM. Their cargoes were analyzed by LC-MS/MS proteomics and small RNA-seq analysis. The wound healing activity was verified in vivo and in vitro. PA-ELNs with a concentration of 2.33x109±6.35x107 particles/mL exhibited a lipid bilayer-bound membrane structure with an average size of 104.7 nm. Furthermore, the miRNA cargoes in PA-ELNs participate in some wound healing related signal pathways such as TGF-beta, mTOR, and autophagy. As expected, the in vitro tests indicated that PA-ELNs were apt to be internalized in HUVECs, L929 and RAW 264.7 cells and contributed to cell proliferation and migration. Most importantly, we demonstrated that the topical administration of PA-ELNs could remarkably accelerate wound healing in a diabetic mouse model, and was involved in anti-inflammatory, re-epithelialization and autophagy regulation. This study provides clear evidence for the first time that PA-ELNs, as diabetic wound healing accelerators, are the "bioactive code" of this ancient medicinal insect.

Abstract
Meteorological conditions and irrigation amounts are key factors that affect crop growth processes. Typically, crop growth and development are modeled as a function of time or growing degree days (GDD). Although the most important component of GDD is temperature, it can vary significantly year to year while also gradually shifting due to climate changes. However, cotton is highly sensitive to various meteorological factors, and reference crop evapotranspiration (ETO) integrates the primary meteorological factors responsible for global dryland extension and aridity changes. This paper constructs a cotton growth model using ETO, which improves the accuracy of crop growth simulation. Two cotton growth models based on the logistic model established using GDD or ETO as independent factors are evaluated in this paper. Additionally, this paper examines mathematical models that relate irrigation amount and irrigation water utilization efficiency (IWUE) to the maximum leaf area index (LAImax) and cotton yield, revealing some key findings. First, the model using cumulative reference crop evapotranspiration (CETO) as the independent variable is more accurate than the one using cumulative growing degree days. To better reflect the effects of meteorological conditions on cotton growth, this paper recommends using CETO as the independent variable to establish cotton growth models. Secondly, the maximum cotton yield is 7171.7 kg/ha when LAImax is 6.043 cm2/cm2, the corresponding required irrigation amount is 518.793 mm, and IWUE is 21.153 kg/(ha·mm). Future studies should consider multiple associated meteorological factors and use ETO crop growth models to simulate and predict crop growth and yield.

Abstract
Making improvements to the water-holding characteristics and water-erosion resistance of desert soils, particularly in inland extremely arid areas, is vital for achieving both sustainable water resource utilisation and food security. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effects of the co-application of biochar and carboxymethyl cellulose sodium (CMC) on the physical properties of sandy desert soil, including infiltration rate, saturated water conductivity, field water-holding capacity and aggregate stability. Sandy desert soil samples were collected from jujube plantations on the southern edge of the Taklimakan Desert in the Hotan Prefecture, Xinjiang, China. Five CMC application ratios (C0:0, C1:0.01 g/kg, C2:0.02 g/kg, C3:0.04 g/kg and C4:0.08 g/kg) and five biochar application ratios (B0:0, B1:1.0 g/kg, B2:2.0 g/kg, B3:4.0 g/kg and B4:8.0 g/kg) were designed and a total of 11 experimental treatments were performed, which were labelled as CK (control group), B2C0, B2C1, B2C2, B2C3, B2C4, B4C4, B0C2, B1C2, B3C2 and B4C2. Compared with CK, the combined application of biochar and CMC reduced the soil bulk density (BD) by 1.29-9.41% and the saturated hydraulic conductivity (Ks) by 29.64-94.98%, and increased the soil saturated water content (SSWC) by 8.81-30.74% and the water holding capacity (WHC) by 13.91-36.87%. Similarly, the water-stable aggregates that were co-applied with biochar and CMC increased by 29.10-256.86%. This resulted in significant improvement in the stability of sandy desert soil against water erosion. The principal component analysis (PCA) results found B4C4 to have the best comprehensive improvement effect. Therefore, 0.08 g/kg of CMC and 8.0 g/kg of biochar were used as recommended for improving the hydraulic properties of desert soils. Generally, CMC and biochar have a mutually complementary effect on improving sandy desert soil, providing new ideas and approaches for the improvement of soil and the sustainable development of agriculture in desert areas.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES Changes in the oral cavity can reflect other changes throughout the body. This study aimed to investigate the association of dental caries with muscle mass, muscle strength, and sarcopenia, and also to describe the microbial diversity, composition, and community structure of severe dental caries and sarcopenia. DESIGN Cross-sectional study based on a Chinese population aged from 50 to 85 years. SETTING Communities from Lanxi City, Zhejiang Province, China. PARTICIPANTS A total of 1,442 participants aged from 50 to 85 years from a general community (62.8% women; median age 61.0 [interquartile range: 55.0, 68.0]). MEASUREMENTS Dental caries was assessed by the decayed, missing, and filled teeth (DMFT) index. Sarcopenia was defined as the presence of both low muscle mass (assessed by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry scanning) and low muscle strength (assessed by handgrip strength). Multivariate logistic regression models were used to analyze the association of dental caries with muscle mass, muscle strength, and sarcopenia. Fecal samples underwent 16S rRNA profiling to evaluate the diversity and composition of the gut microbiota in patients with severe dental caries and/or sarcopenia. RESULTS In the fully adjusted logistic models, dental caries was positively associated with low muscle strength (DMFT ≥ 7: OR, 1.61; 95% CI, 1.25-2.06), and sarcopenia (DMFT ≥ 7: OR, 1.51; 95% CI, 1.01-2.26), but not low muscle mass. Severe dental caries was positively associated with higher alpha-diversity indices (richness, chao1, and ACE, all p < 0.05) and associated with beta-diversity based on Bray-Curtis distance (p = 0.006). The severe dental caries group and the sarcopenia group overlapped with 11 depleted and 13 enriched genera. CONCLUSION Dental caries was positively associated with low muscle strength and sarcopenia but not muscle mass, and this association was more pronounced in male individuals. Significant differences were observed in gut microbiota composition both in severe dental caries and sarcopenia, and there was an overlap of the genera features. Future longitudinal studies are needed to clarify causal relationships.

Abstract
Brain tissue is considered to be biphasic, with approximately 80% liquid and 20% solid matrix, thus exhibiting viscoelasticity due to rearrangement of the solid matrix and poroelasticity due to fluid migration within the solid matrix. However, how to distinguish poroelastic and viscoelastic effects in brain tissue remains challenging. In this study, we proposed a method of unconfined compression-isometric hold to measure the force versus time relaxation curves of porcine brain tissue samples with systematically varied sample lengths. Upon scaling the measured relaxation force and relaxation time with different length-dependent physical quantities, we successfully distinguished the poroelasticity and viscoelasticity of the brain tissue. We demonstrated that during isometric hold, viscoelastic relaxation dominated the mechanical behavior of brain tissue in the short-time regime, while poroelastic relaxation dominated in the long-time regime. Furthermore, compared with poroelastic relaxation, viscoelastic relaxation was found to play a more dominant role in the mechanical response of porcine brain tissue. We then evaluated the differences between poroelastic and viscoelastic effects for both porcine and human brain tissue. Because of the draining of pore fluid, the Young's moduli in poroelastic relaxation were lower than those in viscoelastic relaxation; brain tissue changed from incompressible during viscoelastic relaxation to compressible during poroelastic relaxation, resulting in reduced Poisson ratios. This study provides new insights into the physical mechanisms underlying the roles of viscoelasticity and poroelasticity in brain tissue. STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE: Although the poroviscoelastic model had been proposed to characterize brain tissue mechanical behavior, it is difficult to distinguish the poroelastic and viscoelastic behaviors of brain tissue. The study distinguished viscoelasticity and poroelasticity of brain tissue with time scales and then evaluated the differences between poroelastic and viscoelastic effects for both porcine and human brain tissue, which helps to accurate selection of constitutive models suitable for application in certain situations (e.g., pore-dominant and viscoelastic-dominant deformation).

Abstract
Background Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC) is the sixth most common cancer worldwide, and new cases are anticipated to reach 1.08 million in 2030. Our study aimed to identify the competing endogenous RNAs (ceRNAs) involved in HNSC tumorigenesis. Methods First, a pan-cancer correlation analysis was conducted on the expression and survival conditions of sideroflexin (SFXN3) based on data downloaded from the Xena database. Second, the upstream regulatory microRNAs (miRNAs) and long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) of SFXN3 were predicted using the Encyclopedia of RNA Interactomes (ENCORI) database. Expression and survival analyses were subsequently used to construct lncRNA-miRNA-mRNA ceRNA network that correlated with HNSC. Third, the proportion of various types of immune cells in HNSC was calculated using the CIBERSORT algorithm. Finally, a correlation analysis was performed on SFXN3, including immune cell infiltration (ICI), clinical stage, and immune checkpoints. Results The pan-cancer analysis suggested that SFXN3 was up-regulated in HNSC, and it correlated with poor prognosis. The ceRNA regulatory network MIR193BHG–miR-29c-3p–SFXN3 was identified as one of the potential biological regulatory pathways of HNSC. The upstream lncRNA MIR193BHG was associated with a poor prognosis in HNSC, and its target gene SFXN3 was correlated with tumor ICI, immune cell biomarkers, and immune checkpoints. Conclusions By performing ceRNA analysis, our study demonstrated that MIR193HG-miR-29c-3p-SFXN3 is significantly involved in HNSC, and this action axis markedly affect the therapeutic effect and prognosis.

Abstract
STUDY QUESTION Do spermatogonia, including spermatogonial stem cells (SSCs), undergo metabolic changes during prepubertal development? SUMMARY ANSWER Here, we show that the metabolic phenotype of prepubertal human spermatogonia is distinct from that of adult spermatogonia and that SSC development is characterized by distinct metabolic transitions from oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS) to anaerobic metabolism. WHAT IS KNOWN ALREADY Maintenance of both mouse and human adult SSCs relies on glycolysis, while embryonic SSC precursors, primordial germ cells (PGCs), exhibit an elevated dependence on OXPHOS. Neonatal porcine SSC precursors reportedly initiate a transition to an adult SSC metabolic phenotype at 2 months of development. However, when and if such a metabolic transition occurs in humans is ambiguous. STUDY DESIGN, SIZE, DURATION To address our research questions: (i) we performed a meta-analysis of publicly available and newly generated (current study) single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-Seq) datasets in order to establish a roadmap of SSC metabolic development from embryonic stages (embryonic week 6) to adulthood in humans (25 years of age) with a total of ten groups; (ii) in parallel, we analyzed single-cell RNA sequencing datasets of isolated pup (n = 3) and adult (n = 2) murine spermatogonia to determine whether a similar metabolic switch occurs; and (iii) we characterized the mechanisms that regulate these metabolic transitions during SSC maturation by conducting quantitative proteomic analysis using two different ages of prepubertal pig spermatogonia as a model, each with four independently collected cell populations. PARTICIPANTS/MATERIALS, SETTING, METHODS Single testicular cells collected from 1-year, 2-year and 7-year-old human males and sorted spermatogonia isolated from 6- to 8-day (n = 3) and 4-month (n = 2) old mice were subjected to scRNA-Seq. The human sequences were individually processed and then merged with the publicly available datasets for a meta-analysis using Seurat V4 package. We then performed a pairwise differential gene expression analysis between groups of age, followed by pathways enrichment analysis using gene set enrichment analysis (cutoff of false discovery rate < 0.05). The sequences from mice were subjected to a similar workflow as described for humans. Early (1-week-old) and late (8-week-old) prepubertal pig spermatogonia were analyzed to reveal underlying cellular mechanisms of the metabolic shift using immunohistochemistry, western blot, qRT-PCR, quantitative proteomics, and culture experiments. MAIN RESULTS AND THE ROLE OF CHANCE Human PGCs and prepubertal human spermatogonia show an enrichment of OXPHOS-associated genes, which is downregulated at the onset of puberty (P < 0.0001). Furthermore, we demonstrate that similar metabolic changes between pup and adult spermatogonia are detectable in the mouse (P < 0.0001). In humans, the metabolic transition at puberty is also preceded by a drastic change in SSC shape at 11 years of age (P < 0.0001). Using a pig model, we reveal that this metabolic shift could be regulated by an insulin growth factor-1 dependent signaling pathway via mammalian target of rapamycin and proteasome inhibition. LARGE SCALE DATA New single-cell RNA sequencing datasets obtained from this study are freely available through NCBI GEO with accession number GSE196819. LIMITATIONS, REASONS FOR CAUTION Human prepubertal tissue samples are scarce, which led to the investigation of a low number of samples per age. Gene enrichment analysis gives only an indication about the functional state of the cells. Due to limited numbers of prepubertal human spermatogonia, porcine spermatogonia were used for further proteomic and in vitro analyses. WIDER IMPLICATIONS OF THE FINDINGS We show that prepubertal human spermatogonia exhibit high OXHPOS and switch to an adult-like metabolism only after 11 years of age. Prepubescent cancer survivors often suffer from infertility in adulthood. SSC transplantation could provide a powerful tool for the treatment of infertility; however, it requires high cell numbers. This work provides key insight into the dynamic metabolic requirements of human SSCs across development that would be critical in establishing ex vivo systems to support expansion and sustained function of SSCs toward clinical use. Abstract
γ-Hexachlorocyclohexane (γ-HCH)-degrading strain, Sphingobium sp. TA15, was newly isolated from an experimental field soil from which the archetypal γ-HCH-degrading strain, S. japonicum UT26, was isolated previously. Comparison of the complete genome sequences of these 2 strains revealed that TA15 shares the same basic genome backbone with UT26, but also has the variable regions that are presumed to have changed either from UT26 or from a putative common ancestor. Organization and localization of lin genes of TA15 were different from those of UT26. It was inferred that transposition of IS6100 had played a crucial role in these genome rearrangements. The accumulation of toxic dead-end products in TA15 was lower than in UT26, suggesting that TA15 utilizes γ-HCH more effectively than UT26. These results suggested that genome evolution related to the γ-HCH metabolic function in the soil microbial population is ongoing.

Abstract
Revealing the structural morphology and inner flow field of the upper airway is important for understanding obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS) incidence phenomena and pathological diagnosis in children. However, prior work on this topic has been focused on adults and the findings cannot be directly extrapolated to children because of different inducing factors. Therefore, this paper employs a simulation method to investigate upper airway flow characteristics of childhood OSAHS. It is found that the Reynold number changes highly throughout the whole upper airway, and the laminar assumption is no longer suitable for low Reynold number flow, which is much unlike classic fluid mechanics. Turbulent models of Standard k-ω and Spalart-Allmaras were developed prior to suggestion. The simulation is validated by experiments with an error of approximately 20%. Additionally, carried out in this analysis is the influence of adenoidal hypertrophy with different narrow levels. The cross-sectional area, flow velocity, pressure drop and volume rate will change greatly when the narrow level is above 64% of the upper airway, which can be a quantitative explanation for medical intervention if adenoid hypertrophy blocks 2/3 of the upper airway in the common clinical judgment of otorhinolaryngology. It is expected that this paper can be a meaningful instruction on OSAHS surgery plan making as well as recovery evaluation postoperatively.

Abstract
Gyirong serves as an important channel to Chine-Nepal Economic Corridor, which is also the only land route for China-Nepal trade since the 2015 earthquake. However, the Gyirong corridor suffers from glacier-related debris flow from every April to September because of the complex topographic features and the changing climate. Therefore, a susceptibility map in response to precipitation and temperature change is timely, not only to ensure the safe operation of this corridor, but also to provide decision-makers a guidance for hazard mitigation and environmental remediation. Conventional method is difficult to consider and link the meteorological factors (e.g. temperature and precipitation), topographies, ecological, geological conditions all together to produce the susceptibility map, as such, machine learning is utilised to conduct the analysis. Logistic Regression (LR) and Support Vector Machine (SVM) were firstly applied to evaluate their efficiency and effectiveness of the performance of producing the susceptibility map. In order to improve the fitting and prediction accuracy (ACC), genetic algorithm - support vector machine (GA-SVM) and certainty factor - genetic algorithm - support vector machine (CF-GA-SVM) were conducted based on the initial analysis results of receiver operating characteristics curve (ROC) and ACC. Through the analysis, it can be seen that over 61% of the study areas have a high susceptibility to debris flow, requiring an intensive attention from the local government. To further optimise the computational time, when dealing with small amounts of sample data, SVM is more efficient than LR, but CF-GA-SVM can achieve the highest AUC (Area Under Curve) and ACC values, 0.945 and 0.800, respectively. Overall, CF-GA-SVM model presents a relatively high robustness according to sensitivity analysis.

Abstract
The new sugar source manno-oligosaccharide can regulate the structure of the microbial community. This study investigated the effects of adding manno-oligosaccharide at four different levels (0, 0.1%, 0.5%, and 1% w/w compost) to composting cow manure and straw on lignocellulose degradation and the bacterial community. Adding 0.5% manno-oligosaccharide had the greatest effects on accelerating the composting process, reducing its toxicity, and improving the stability of the product. After composting for 25 days, adding 0.5% manno-oligosaccharide decreased the hemicellulose, cellulose, and lignin contents to 2.25%, 11.25%, and 7.07%, respectively, compared with those under CK. Manno-oligosaccharide promoted the degradation of lignocellulose by increasing the abundances of Thermobifida, Streptomyces, and Luteimonas. In addition, manno-oligosaccharide inhibited pathogenic bacteria and increased the abundances of functional genes related to metabolism. Finally, adding 0.5% manno-oligosaccharide mainly affected the degradation of lignocellulose by enhancing the C/N ratio and the abundances of Streptomyces and the secretion system during composting according to redundancy analysis.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Osteoporosis affects more than half the patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Up to data, there is no effective clinical practice in managing type 2 diabetes osteoporosis (T2DOP) because of its complex pathogenesis. Gegen Qinlian Decoction (GQD) has been used for the long-term management of T2DM. However, the underlying mechanism of GQD in the treatment of T2DOP remains unknown. PURPOSE To reveal the role of GQD in T2DOP and its potential therapeutic targets in the management of T2DOP. STUDY DESIGN The effect of GQD on T2DOP was observed in db/db mice in four groups: model group, GQD low-dose group (GQD-L), GQD high-dose group (GQD-H), and metformin (positive control) group. C57BL/6J mice were used as the negative control group. METHODS Quantitative phytochemical analysis of GQD was performed using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Micro-CT and hematoxylin-eosin (H&E) staining were used to evaluate bone histomorphometry. To screen for candidate targets of GQD, a cytokine antibody array was used, followed by bioinformatics analysis. Quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) and western blotting (WB) were used to determine expression levels. RESULTS The major active components of GQD were confirmed by HPLC. Micro-CT and H&E staining showed that bone mass was significantly increased in the GQD-H group compared with the model group. Antibody arrays revealed that the expression of insulin-like growth factor binding protein 3 (IGFBP3) was elevated in the GQD-H group. The MAPK pathway was identified using bioinformatics analysis. Additionally, the levels of osteoclastogenesis-related genes, including cathepsin K (Ctsk), acid phosphatase 5 (Acp5), matrix metallopeptidase 9 (Mmp9), and ATPase H+ transporting V0 subunit D2 (Atp6v0d2) were significantly decreased in the GQD-H group. Compared with the model group, high-dosage GQD inhibited phosphorylation of extracellular signal-regulated kinases (ERKs) and P38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) and the expression of c-Fos and nuclear factor of activated T cells 1 (NFATc1). CONCLUSION GQD plays a protective role in T2DOP by upregulating IGFBP3 expression and downregulating the IGFBP3/MAPK/NFATc1 signaling pathway. IGFBP3 in serum may also be a novel biomarker in the treatment of T2DOP. Our current findings not only expand the application of GQD, but also provide a theoretical basis and guidance for T2DOP.

Abstract
Near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) techniques can provide noninvasive in vivo hemoglobin oxygenation information but suffer from relatively low resolution in biological tissue imaging. Microwave-induced thermoacoustic tomography (TAT) can produce high-resolution images of the biological tissue anatomy but offer limited physiological information of samples because of the single species of the chromophore it maps. To overcome these drawbacks and take advantage of the merits of the two independent techniques, we built a dual-modality system by combining a NIRS system and a TAT system to image biological tissues. A series of phantom trials were carried out to demonstrate the performance of the new system. The spatial resolution is about 1 mm, with a penetration depth of at least 17.5 mm in the human subject. A cohort of five healthy subjects was recruited to conduct real-time forearm venous and arterial cuff occlusion experiments. Numerous results showed that this dual-modality system could measure oxygen metabolism and simultaneously provide anatomical structure changes of biological tissues. We also found that although the hemoglobin concentration varied consistently with many other published papers, the TAT signal intensity of veins showed an opposite variation tendency in the venous occlusion stage compared with other existing work. A detailed explanation is given to account for the discrepancy, thus, providing another possibility for the forearm experiments using TAT. Furthermore, based on the multiple types of information afforded by this dual-modality system, a pilot clinical application for the diagnosis of anemia is discussed.

Abstract
Bitter taste receptor 14(T2R14) is one of the most widely regulated bitter taste receptors (T2Rs) and plays a vital role in the research of T2R blockers. In this study, potential T2R14 blockers were identified from the myosin of Mizuhopecten yessoensis. Myosin was hydrolyzed in silico by gastrointestinal proteases, and the peptides were obtained. The peptides' biological activity, solubility, and toxicity were predicted, and the potential T2R14 blocking peptides were docked with T2R14. Subsequently, the in vitro T2R14 blocking activity of the selected peptide was verified by an electronic tongue. The results showed that QRPR had T2R14 blocking activity with an IC50 value of 256.69 ± 1.91 μM. Molecular docking analysis suggested the key role of the amino residues Asp168, Leu178, Asn157, and Ile262 in blocking T2R14, and revealed that the amino acid residues of T2R14 bound with the peptide QRPR via electrostatic interaction, hydrophobic interaction, conventional hydrogen bond, and hydrogen bond. The novel T2R14 blocking peptide QRPR is a potential candidate for suppressing bitterness.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES Although a number of cases of importation with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection have been reported, there are still no data available concerning the characteristics in the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cluster of charter flight importation. Here, we provide an analysis of COVID-19 cases and their close contacts who worked for the same company on a project in Karbala, Iraq, and returned back to Chengdu, China, by a charter flight. METHODS The data of imported COVID-19 cases and their close contacts were obtained from National Notifiable Disease Report System of Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention and field epidemiological investigation reports by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDCs) in Chengdu. The information of general characteristics and laboratory findings of this cluster were collected and summarized. RESULTS One hundred and six (66.67%) of 159 charter flight passengers tested positive for COVID-19 before entry. Through treatment, all 159 people tested negative and meet the requirements of taking flights bound for China before boarding. However, there has been still 36 (22.64%) of them tested positive after entry. The median time from entry to confirmation was 1.0 day (Interquartile Range (IQR): 0-4.3). The Cycle threshold value (Ct value) of 36 patients' positive samples are all above 30 and most values are above 35. CONCLUSIONS In conclusion, there is still a risk that a number of COVID-19 cases can be imported through charter flight. However, the infectivity of confirmed patients of the charter flight was considered to be low.

Abstract
Increased levels of mitochondrial coupling factor 6 (CF6) are present in the peripheral blood of patients with preeclamptic pregnancies, and are particularly evident in cases of early-onset or severe preeclampsia. The present study examined the location and expression levels of CF6 in the placental tissue and its effect on the biological behavior of trophoblast cells. Placental tissue microarrays, including placental villous cytotrophoblast and extravillous cytotrophoblast microarrays, were used to detect the location and relative expression levels of CF6 in the placenta using immunohistochemistry. It was found that CF6 was expressed in both the normal and preeclamptic placenta, but its levels were higher in the preeclamptic tissues. In addition, the effects of the hypoxic environment on the biological behaviors of trophoblast cells were investigated in the JAR and JEG-3 cell lines. Following induction of hypoxia, the expression levels of CF6 were increased. Moreover, exogenous addition of human recombinant CF6 attenuated cell invasion, but exerted no effect on cell proliferation. At the molecular level, the expression levels of MMP-2 were decreased and were accompanied with a reduction in cell invasion following addition of exogenous CF6. In conclusion, the increased expression levels of CF6 and its effects in reducing the invasive abilities of trophoblast cells may be involved in the pathogenesis of severe preeclampsia.

Abstract
Previous studies have revealed that for some perovskite compositions, power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) improved after storing the devices in different ambient conditions. With the aim of better understanding such improvements, we focus our attention on the carrier/ionic dynamic kinetics of fresh and aged PSCs with different perovskite compositions (MAPbI3 and MAPbBr3 ) and using spiro-OMeTAD as HTM. For that, we use transient photovoltage (TPV), a technique used to analyse the different recombination kinetics at equilibrium and at different illumination times. We observe that the aging treatment causes significant changes on the kinetics behaviour for bromide-based devices, resulting in a positive influence on the cell performance (from 3.5 % to 6.1 % PCE, in reverse scan). However, the kinetics for those iodide-based perovskite solar cells remains unchangeable (from 16.3 % to 15.0 % PCE, in reverse scan).

Abstract
Aconitum scaposum Franch 1894 belongs to the Genus Aconitum and Subgenus Lycoctonum (Ranunculaceae). It is widely distributed in China and adjacent areas, used as herbal medicine and had highy toxic components. This species has little reasearch information, especially its chloroplast (cp) genome information being unclear. Therefore, with the method of high salt and low pH to extract the cp of A. scaposum, we sequenced and assembled the complete cp genome of A. scaposum using Illumina high-throughput sequencing platform. The results showed the cp genome of A. scaposum was 157 688 bp in length, including a pair of inverted repeated regions (IRa 26 156 bp and IRb 26 232 bp, respectively), large single copy region (LSC 69 309 bp) and small single copy region (SSC 16 917 bp). And cp genome of A. scaposum consisted of 145 unique genes, 8 ribosomal RNA (rRNA) genes and 38 transfer RNA (tRNA) genes, with GC content was 38%. Meanwhile, based on the cp complete genome, we performed the phylogenetic tree of 66 species with maximum likelihood (ML) method, respectively. Among them, we selected one Delphinium species as the outgroup and the bootstrap of each braches were greater than 90%. The results indicated that the phylogenetic relationship of A. scaposum was relatively closely related to A. scaposum var. vaginatum compared to other Aconitum species.

Abstract
ETHNOPHARMACOLOGICAL RELEVANCE Sanhuang Jiangtang tablet (SHJTT), has been widely used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). However, the potential and mechanism of SHJTT in treating type 2 diabetes osteoporosis (T2DOP) has not been reported. AIM OF THE STUDY The aim of this work was to investigate the role and the underlying molecular mechanism of SHJTT in managing type 2 diabetes osteoporosis. MATERIALS AND METHODS The target genes of each component consisting of SHJTT were obtained by searching the ETCM database. The target genes of osteoporosis and diabetes were individually acquired by analyzing the DisGeNET and OMIM disease databases. Then the potential therapeutic genes were obtained from the intersection of the herbal medicine targets and the disease targets which were imported into the R and STRING platform for the analysis of GO terms, KEGG pathways and PPI network. The key modules of PPI network were constructed by Cytoscape software. Finally, leptin receptor deficiency (db/db) mice were confirmed as an animal model of type 2 diabetic osteoporosis (T2DOP) through phenotype assessment and the key genes of SHJTT against T2DOP were validated by quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR). RESULTS A total of 786 target genes of SHJTT were obtained from ETCM. Simultaneously, a total of 3906 osteoporosis and type 2 diabetes associated targets were acquired from DisGeNET and OMIM databases. Then, 97 common targets were found by overlapping them. On the basis of the GO and KEGG enrichment analysis and PPI network, we found that the related pathway of SHJTT in type 2 diabetes osteoporosis was AKT-GSK3β-NFATc1 pathway which is tightly associated with osteoclast differentiation. The expression of key genes including Akt1, Mapk3, Gsk3β, Mmp9, Nfkb1 were significantly down-regulated by SHJTT in T2DOP mice (p < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS SHJTT had a protective effect on T2DOP via regulating AKT-GSK3β-NFATc1 signaling pathway. This study might provide a theoretical basis for the application of SHJTT for the treatment of type 2 diabetic osteoporosis.
