Abstract
Antiferromagnets constitute promising contender materials for next-generation spintronic devices with superior stability, scalability, and dynamics. Nevertheless, the perception of well-established ferromagnetic spintronics underpinned by spontaneous magnetization seemed to indicate the inadequacy of antiferromagnets for spintronics-their compensated magnetization has been perceived to result in uncontrollable antiferromagnetic order and subtle magnetoelectronic responses. However, remarkable advancements have been achieved in antiferromagnetic spintronics in recent years, with consecutive unanticipated discoveries substantiating the feasibility of antiferromagnet-centered spintronic devices. It is emphasized that, distinct from ferromagnets, the richness in complex antiferromagnetic crystal structures is the unique and essential virtue of antiferromagnets that can open up their endless possibilities of novel phenomena and functionality for spintronics. In this Perspective, the recent progress in antiferromagnetic spintronics is reviewed, with a particular focus on that based on several kinds of antiferromagnets with special antiferromagnetic crystal structures. The latest developments in efficiently manipulating antiferromagnetic order, exploring novel antiferromagnetic physical responses, and demonstrating prototype antiferromagnetic spintronic devices are discussed. An outlook on future research directions is also provided. It is hoped that this Perspective can serve as guidance for readers who are interested in this field and encourage unprecedented studies on antiferromagnetic spintronic materials, phenomena, and devices.

Abstract
Objective: To conduct quantitative evaluation on the revise requirements of Specifications of Air Sampling for Hazardous Substances Monitoring in the Workplace (GBZ 159-2004) , clarify the problems and suggestions during its implementation for improvement, and provide a basis for the revision of the standard. Methods: From April to September 2021, stratified convenient sampling method was adopted and semi-open questionnaire was used to investigate the occupational health personnel in CDC, occupational prevention and control institutes, employers, third-party technical service institutions and universitie. The entropy weight of each index and the score based on entropy weight of GBZ 159 were calculated. Spearman rank correlation analysis was used to describe the correlation between the two indexes and radar chart was drawn for comprehensive evaluation. Results: A total of 151 questionnaires were received from the respondents, of which 147 were valid, with an effective recovery rate of 97.35%, involving 29 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities. The median G scores of the necessity and urgency of GBZ 159 revision based on entropy weight were 2.84 and 3.17, respectively, and the difference was statistically significant (M=-25.50, P<0.001) . The trend of the score G of necessity and urgency based on entropy weight was basically the same for all secondary items (r(s)=0.9998, P<0.001) , and the score G of urgency based on entropy weight was higher than that of necessity. The highest score G of necessity and urgency based on entropy weight was "3.13 long time sampling", which were 7.56 and 8.23 respectively. This was followed by "3.12 short time sampling", which were 7.19 and 7.13 respectively. Conclusion: GBZ 159 has encountered some new problems and challenges in the implementation process, and some of its technical indicators have been out of line with the actual practice of occupational health at present. These are the two items that urgently needs to be revised and improved, such as "3.13 long time sampling" and "3.12 short time sampling" and other items need to be revised and improved.

Abstract
Systematically evaluate the implementation of Specifications of Air Sampling for Hazardous Substances Monitoring (GBZ 159-2004) , so as to provide technical basis for the future standard revision. The semi-structured interview method was used to interview the industry experts from centers for disease control and prevention, occupational disease prevention and control hospitals/institutes, employers, third-party technical service institutions and universities, and the induction method was used to refine the topics and relevant suggestions. Some technical indicators of GBZ 159 are not suitable for the current actual work of occupational health, and need to be revised and improved urgently. The revised GBZ 159 should comply with the current situation of China's industrial development and the development of occupational health testing equipment in the new era, and improve the relevant technical requirements of sampling quality control.

Abstract
Cu2S likely plays an important role in the sharp resistivity transition of LK-99. Nevertheless, this immediately arouses an intriguing question of whether the extraordinary room-temperature colossal magnetoresistance in the initial reports, which has been less focused, originates from Cu2S as well. To resolve this issue, we have systematically investigated the electrical transport and magnetotransport properties of near-stoichiometric Cu2S pellets and thin films. Neither Cu2S nor LK-99 containing Cu2S in this study was found to exhibit the remarkable magnetoresistance effect implied by Lee et al. This implies that Cu2S could not account for all of the intriguing transport properties of the initially reported LK-99, and the initially reported LK-99 samples might contain magnetic impurities. Moreover, based on the crystal-structure-sensitive electrical properties of Cu2S, we have constructed a piezoelectric-strain-controlled device and obtained a giant and reversible resistance modulation of 2 orders of magnitude at room temperature, yielding a huge gauge factor of 160,000.

Abstract
PURPOSE This study compares the results of Artificial Intelligence (AI) diagnosis of rib fractures using initial CT and follow-up CT as the final diagnostic criteria, and studies AI-assisted diagnosis in improving the detection rate of rib fractures. METHODS A retrospective study was conducted on 113 patients who underwent initial and follow-up CT scans due to trauma. The initial and follow-up CT were used as diagnostic criteria, respectively. All images were transmitted to the AI software (V2.1.0, Huiying Medical Technology Co., Beijing, China) for rib fracture detection. The radiologist group (Group 1), AI group (Group 2), and Radiologist with AI group (Group 3) reviewed CT images at an interval of one month, recorded and compared the differences in the sensitivity and specificity for diagnosing rib fractures. RESULTS 589 and 712 rib fractures were diagnosed by the initial and follow-up CT, respectively. The initial CT diagnosis failed to detect 127 rib fractures, resulting in a missed rate of 17.84%. In addition, four normal ribs were mistakenly identified as being fractured. The follow-up CT was regarded as the diagnostic standard for rib fractures. The sensitivity and specificity were 82.16% and 99.80% for Group 1, 79.35% and 84.90% for Group 2, and 91.57% and 99.70% for Group 3. The sensitivity of Group 3 was higher than that of Group 1 and Group 2 (p < 0.05). The specificity was lower for Group 2 compared with Group 1 and Group 3 (p < 0.05). CONCLUSION AI-assisted diagnosis improved the detection rate of rib fractures, the follow-up CT should be used for the diagnosis standard of rib fractures, and AI misdiagnoses can be greatly reduced when a radiologist reviews the diagnosis.

Abstract
Background Microvascular invasion (MVI) is an independent risk factor for postoperative recurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). However, MVI cannot be detected by conventional imaging. To localize MVI precisely on magnetic resonance (MR) images, we evaluated the feasibility and accuracy of 3-dimensional (3D) histology-MR image fusion of the liver. Methods Animal models of VX2 liver tumors were established in 10 New Zealand white rabbits under ultrasonographic guidance. The whole liver lobe containing the VX2 tumor was extracted and divided into 4 specimens, for a total of 40 specimens. MR images were obtained with a T2-weighted sequence for each specimen, and then histological images were obtained by intermittent, serial pathological sections. 3D histology-MR image fusion was performed via landmark registration in 3D Slicer software. We calculated the success rate and registration errors of image fusion, and then we located the MVI on MR images. Regarding influencing factors, we evaluated the uniformity of tissue thickness after sampling and the uniformity of tissue shrinkage after dehydration. Results The VX2 liver tumor model was successfully established in the 10 rabbits. The incidence of MVI was 80% (8/10). 3D histology-MR image fusion was successfully performed in the 39 specimens, and the success rate was 97.5% (39/40). The average registration error was 0.44±0.15 mm. MVI was detected in 20 of the 39 successfully registered specimens, resulting in a total of 166 MVI lesions. The specific location of all MVI lesions was accurately identified on MR images using 3D histology-MR image fusion. All MVI lesions showed as slightly hyperintense on the high-resolution MR T2-weighted images. The results of the influencing factor assessment showed that the tissue thickness was uniform after sampling (P=0.38), but the rates of the tissue shrinkage was inconsistent after dehydration (P<0.001). Conclusions 3D histology-MR image fusion of the isolated liver tumor model is feasible and accurate and allows for the successful identification of the specific location of MVI on MR images.

Abstract
The carotid web is commonly found in the carotid bulb or the beginning of the internal carotid artery. It presents as a thin layer of proliferative intimal tissue originating from the arterial wall and extending into the vessel lumen. A large body of research has proven that the carotid web is a risk factor for ischemic stroke. This review summarizes the current research status of the carotid web and focuses on its imaging presentation.

Abstract
Since the large room-temperature anomalous Hall effect was discovered in noncollinear antiferromagnets, Mn3Sn has received immense research interest as it exhibits abundant exotic physical properties including Weyl points and enormous potential for antiferromagnetic spintronic device applications. In this work, we report the emergence of the topological Hall effect in Mn3Sn films grown on Si that is the workhorse for the modern highly integrated information technology. Importantly, through a series of systematic comparative experiments, the intriguing topological Hall effect phenomenon related to the appearance of the noncoplanar chiral spin structure is found to be induced by the Mn3Sn/SiO2 interface. Furthermore, it was found that the current injection to a Pt/Mn3Sn bilayer Hall bar device can effectively manipulate the chiral spin structure of Mn3Sn, which demonstrates the feasibility of Si-based noncollinear antiferromagnetic spintronics.

Abstract
Antiferromagnetic spintronics1-16 is a rapidly growing field in condensed-matter physics and information technology with potential applications for high-density and ultrafast information devices. However, the practical application of these devices has been largely limited by small electrical outputs at room temperature. Here we describe a room-temperature exchange-bias effect between a collinear antiferromagnet, MnPt, and a non-collinear antiferromagnet, Mn3Pt, which together are similar to a ferromagnet-antiferromagnet exchange-bias system. We use this exotic effect to build all-antiferromagnetic tunnel junctions with large nonvolatile room-temperature magnetoresistance values that reach a maximum of about 100%. Atomistic spin dynamics simulations reveal that uncompensated localized spins at the interface of MnPt produce the exchange bias. First-principles calculations indicate that the remarkable tunnelling magnetoresistance originates from the spin polarization of Mn3Pt in the momentum space. All-antiferromagnetic tunnel junction devices, with nearly vanishing stray fields and strongly enhanced spin dynamics up to the terahertz level, could be important for next-generation highly integrated and ultrafast memory devices7,9,16.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) has increasingly been reported as linked to cardiovascular (CV) events; however, reported results have been inconsistent, and no meta-analysis has been undertaken to quantitatively assess this association. METHODS We searched PubMed, Embase, and Web of Science databases for cohort articles published up to December 1, 2020. Fixed or random-effects models were used to estimate the summary relative risks (RRs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) of CV events in relation to IGF-1. Restricted cubic splines were used to model the dose-response association. RESULTS We identified 11 articles (thirteen cohort studies) covering a total of 22,995 participants and 3040 CV events in this meta-analysis. The risk of overall CV events reduced by 16% from the highest to the lowest IGF-1 levels (RR 0.83, 95% CI 0.72-0.95), while the occurrence of CV events reduced by 28% (RR 0.72, 95% CI 0.56-0.92), but not for CV deaths, however (RR 1.00, 95% CI 0.65-1.55). We also found linear associations between IGF-1 levels and CV events. With each per 45 μg/mL IGF-1 increase, the pooled RRs were 0.91 (95% CI 0.86-0.96), 0.91 (95% CI 0.85-0.97) and 0.91 (95% CI 0.84-0.98) for overall CV events, for the occurrence of CV events, and for CV deaths, respectively. CONCLUSIONS Our findings based on cohort studies support the contention that any increase in IGF-1 is helpful in reducing the overall risk of CV events. As an important biomarker for assessing the likelihood of CV events, IGF-1 appears to offer a promising prognostic approach for aiding prevention.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the survival and prognosis of Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) patients receiving standard first-line therapy. Methods: Data of clinical characteristics and treatment outcomes of patients with HL diagnosed in Cancer Hospital Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences (CHCAMS) from January 1st, 2000 to December 31st, 2018 who received standard first-line treatment were retrospectively analyzed and compared with that of HL patients who received treatment in the Surveillance, Epidemiology and End Results (SEER) database in the United States during the same period. Factors associated with freedom from progression (FFP) of patients in CHCAMS were analyzed. Treatment and survival data of patients with relapsed/refractory HL (r/rHL) who had failed the standard first-line treatment during the corresponding period in CHCAMS were collected to analyze the outcomes of salvage therapy. Results: A total of 764 HL patients in CHCAMS were included in this study. The median age was 30 years (range, 14-83 years), with 424 males and 340 females. By February 26th, 2022, the patients were followed-up for a median time of 111 months(range, 0.3-262.0 months). Lymphoma-specific survival (LSS) rate and overall survival (OS) rate at 10 years for HL patients in CHCAMS was 91.7% (95%CI: 89.5%-93.9%) and 87.1% (95%CI: 84.5%-89.8%), respectively. LSS and OS rate at 10 years for HL patients from SEER database was 86.8% (95%CI: 86.3%-87.2%) and 79.0% (95%CI: 78.5%-79.5%), respectively. The unadjusted LSS and OS rate for patients in CHCAMS were higher than those for patients from SEER database (both P<0.001). No significant difference was observed in LSS and OS rate (both P>0.05) between the two groups after adjustment. European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer staging system (early-stage unfavorable: HR=2.35, 95%CI: 1.13-4.89, P=0.023; advanced stage: HR=5.44, 95%CI: 2.62-11.30, P<0.001) and serum β2 microglobulin (HR=1.67, 95%CI: 1.08-2.58, P=0.021) were influencing factors of FFP for patients in CHCAMS. The complete remission rate, median progression-free survival (PFS), 5-year PFS rate and 5-year OS rate for the 116 patients with r/rHL was 37.9% (95%CI: 29.6%-47.0%), 15.0 months (95%CI: 9.9-20.1 months), 29.9% (95%CI: 20.9%-38.9%) and 62.9% (95%CI: 54.1%-71.7%), respectively. Conclusions: The outcomes of HL patients receiving standard first-line treatment are excellent. However, the therapeutic effect of HL patients who incurrs disease progression or relapse after standard first-line treatment is not satisfying.

Abstract
Introduction
Psychiatric care following self-harm treatment is pivotal in patients´ life both in short- and long-terms.
Objectives
To examine follow-up psychiatric care received by patients treated for deliberate self-harm (DSH), and to assess the influence of psychiatric referral and treatment attendance on risk for subsequent mortality.
Methods
Nationwide registries were interlinked to follow all DSH patients for data on personal socioeconomic status, clinical features of DSH, psychiatric treatment and cause of death. Data were analyzed with Logistic regression and cause-specific survival analysis.
Results
The study identified 43153 patients involving 69569 DSH episodes. Of these patients 15.7% were referred or transferred to psychiatric services and 51.0% attended psychiatric treatment within subsequent 3 months. Evidently, prior psychiatric history and psychiatric comorbidities had strong influence on both referral and attendance to psychiatric healthcare, personal socioeconomic status also deviated the likelihoods. During the follow-up, 7041 patients died from suicide (n=911) or other causes (n=6130). While suicide risk was highly associated with male gender, middle age, and particularly, prior and coexisting psychopathologies, other cause mortality was strongly associated with old age and socioeconomic disadvantages. Meanwhile, a referral to psychiatric services was associated with suicide risk, and the risk was particularly high for patients who received the referral but did not attend psychiatric treatment. The observed effect was more pronounced during the early years, and in patients of young or middle age and those with a clear intent of self-harm.
Conclusions
The insightful findings highlight the importance of patients´ attendance and engagement in follow-up psychiatric care on risk for subsequent mortality.

Abstract
Introduction Little is known regarding how the risk of suicide in refugees relates to their host country. Specifically, to what extent, inter-country differences in structural factors between the host countries may explain the association between refugee status and subsequent suicide is lacking in previous literature. Objectives We aimed to investigate the risk of suicide among refugees in Sweden and Norway according to their sex, age, region/country of birth and duration of residence. Methods Each suicide case between the age of 18-64 years during 1998 and 2018 (17,572 and 9,443 cases in Sweden and Norway, respectively) was matched with up to 20 population-based controls, by sex and age. Multivariate-adjusted conditional logistic regression models yielding adjusted odds ratios (aORs) with 95% confidence intervals (95% CI) were used to test the association between refugee status and suicide. The aORs for suicide in refugees in Sweden and Norway were 0.5 (95% CI: 0.5-0.6) and 0.3 (95% CI: 0.3-0.4), compared with the Swedish-born and Norwegian-born individuals, respectively. Stratification by region/country of birth showed similar statistically significant lower odds for most refugee groups in both host countries except for refugees from Eritrea (aOR 1.0, 95% CI: 0.7-1.6) in Sweden. The risk of suicide did not vary much across refugee groups by their duration of residence, sex and age. Conclusions
The findings of almost similar suicide mortality advantages among refugees in two host countries may suggest that resiliency and culture/religion-bound attitudes could be more influential for suicide risk among refugees than other post-migration environmental and structural factors in the host country. Abstract
The discovery of the anomalous Hall effect in noncollinear antiferromagnetic metals represents one of the most important breakthroughs for the emergent antiferromagnetic spintronics. The tuning of chemical potential has been an important theoretical approach to varying the anomalous Hall conductivity, but the direct experimental demonstration has been challenging owing to the large carrier density of metals. In this work, an ultrathin noncollinear antiferromagnetic Mn3 Ge film is fabricated and its carrier density is modulated by ionic liquid gating. Via a small voltage of ≈3 V, its carrier density is altered by ≈90% and, accordingly, the anomalous Hall effect is completely switched off. This work thus creates an attractive new way to steering the anomalous Hall effect in noncollinear antiferromagnets.

Abstract
Background There is a concern that the COVID-19 pandemic will lead to an increase in suicides. Several reports from the first months of the pandemic showed no increase in suicide rates while studies with longer observation times report contrasting results. In this study, we explore the suicide rates in Norway during the first year of the pandemic for the total population as well as for relevant subgroups such as sex, age, geographical areas, and pandemic phases. Methods This is a cohort study covering the entire Norwegian population between 2010 and 2020. The main outcome was age-standardized suicide rates (per 100,000 inhabitants) in 2020 according to the Norwegian Cause of Death Registry. This was compared with 95% prediction intervals (95% PI) based on the suicide rates between 2010 and 2019. Results In 2020, there were 639 suicides in Norway corresponding to a rate of 12.1 per 100,000 (95% PI 10.2–14.4). There were no significant deviations from the predicted values for suicides in 2020 when analyzing age, sex, pandemic phase, or geographical area separately. We observed a trend toward a lower than predicted suicide rate among females (6.5, 95% PI 6.0–9.2), and during the two COVID-19 outbreak phases in 2020 (2.8, 95% PI 2.3–4.3 and 2.8, 95% CI 2.3–4.3). Conclusion There is no indication that the COVID-19 pandemic led to an increase in suicide rates in Norway in 2020.

Abstract
Due to the lack of any magnetic order down to 1.7 K in the parent bulk compound NdNiO2 , the recently discovered 9-15 K superconductivity in the infinite-layer Nd0.8 Sr0.2 NiO2 thin films has provided an exciting playground for unearthing new superconductivity mechanisms. Herein, the successful synthesis of a series of superconducting Nd0.8 Sr0.2 NiO2 thin films ranging from 8 to 40 nm is reported. The large exchange bias effect is observed between the superconducting Nd0.8 Sr0.2 NiO2 films and a thin ferromagnetic layer, which suggests the existence of the antiferromagnetic order. Furthermore, the existence of the antiferromagnetic order is evidenced by X-ray magnetic linear dichroism measurements. These experimental results are fundamentally critical for the current field.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES We aimed to evaluate the association between sleep duration and obesity and estimate the attributable risk of sleep in the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study surveys (CHARLS). METHODS A total of 9061 adults aged 45 years above from CHARLS (2011-2015) were included. The main outcome of this study was incident overweight/obesity specific to general and abdominal obesity. Overweight/obesity was defined as BMI ≥ 23.0 (kg/m2) and BMI≥27.5 (kg/m2), respectively. Abdominal obesity was defined as waist circumference ≥90 cm for men and ≥80 cm for women. Self-reported sleep durations were obtained using a structured questionnaire. We assessed hazard ratios (HRs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) as well as the population attributable fraction (PAF) for associations between sleep duration and obesity. RESULTS 986 and 606 participants were identified as overweight and general obesity respectively, 1253 experienced abdominal obesity events. In multivariable-adjusted models, participants with daytime sleep of 0-30 minutes and more than 30 minutes associated with 30% (HR: 0.70, 95% CI: 0.56-0.87) and 35% (HR: 0.65, 95% CI: 0.55-0.78) decreased incident overweight risk respectively compared to those having no daytime sleep, this association also found among females and middle-aged, not males or elderly. Similarly, 0-30 minutes (HR: 0.68, 95% CI: 0.48-0.96) and more than 30 minutes of daytime sleep (HR: 0.73, 95% CI: 0.59-0.91) were associated with a reduced risk of abdominal obesity, similar results also found among females and middle-aged. Compared with 7-9 hours of nocturnal sleep, people who slept 5-7 hours had a reduced risk of overweight (HR: 0.59, 95% CI=0.47-0.74),but not found in subgroups. The hazard role of long nocturnal sleep for abdominal obesity was only found among elderly (HR: 2.33, 95% CI=1.35-4.04) and males (HR: 2.24, 95% CI=1.17-4.29). Compared with moderate total sleepers (7-9hours/day), participants with short total sleep duration exhibited an elevated risk of overweight (HR: 1.13, 95% CI=1.00-1.28), this also found among middle-aged. The PAF for inadequate total sleep duration (<7 hours/day) was 10.77% for overweight individuals. CONCLUSIONS Insufficient sleep duration was associated with an elevated risk of overweight only detected among middle-aged not elderly and other subgroups specific by age. The risks for abdominal obesity were increased for males and middle-aged with long nocturnal sleep. Daytime sleep may significantly reduce the risk of overweight and abdominal obesity in female and middle-aged individuals. The link between sleep duration and obesity requires further study.

Abstract
Background Artificial intelligence (AI) products have been widely used for the clinical detection of primary lung tumors. However, their performance and accuracy in risk prediction for metastases or benign lesions remain underexplored. This study evaluated the accuracy of an AI-driven commercial computer-aided detection (CAD) product (InferRead CT Lung Research, ICLR) in malignancy risk prediction using a real-world database. Methods This retrospective study assessed 486 consecutive resected lung lesions, including 320 adenocarcinomas, 40 other malignancies, 55 metastases, and 71 benign lesions, from September 2015 to November 2018. The malignancy risk probability of each lesion was obtained using the ICLR software based on a 3D convolutional neural network (CNN) with DenseNet architecture as a backbone (without clinical data). Two resident doctors independently graded each lesion using patient clinical history. One doctor (R1) has 3 years of chest radiology experience, and the other doctor (R2) has 3 years of general radiology experience. Cochran's Q test was used to assess the performances of the AI compared to the radiologists. Results The accuracy of malignancy-risk prediction using the ICLR for adenocarcinomas, other malignancies, metastases, and benign lesions was 93.4% (299/320), 95.0% (38/40), 50.9% (28/55), and 40.8% (29/71), respectively. The accuracy was significantly higher in adenocarcinomas and other malignancies compared to metastases and benign lesions (all P<0.05). The overall accuracy of risk prediction for R1 was 93.6% (455/486) and 87.4% for R2 (425/486), both of which were higher than the 81.1% accuracy obtained with the ICLR (394/486) (R1 vs. ICLR: P<0.001; R2 vs. ICLR: P=0.001), especially in assessing the risk of metastases (P<0.05). R1 performed better than R2 at risk prediction (P=0.001). Conclusions The accuracy of the ICLR for risk prediction is very high for primary lung cancers but poor for metastases and benign lesions.

Abstract
SARS-CoV-2 can spread by close contact through large droplet spray and indirect contact via contaminated objects. There is mounting evidence that it can also be transmitted by inhalation of infected saliva aerosol particles. These particles are generated when breathing, talking, laughing, coughing or sneezing. It can be assumed that aerosol particle concentrations should be kept low in order to minimize the potential risk of airborne virus transmission. This paper presents measurements of aerosol particle concentrations in a gym, where saliva aerosol production is pronounced. 35 test persons performed physical exercise and aerosol particle concentrations, CO2 concentrations, air temperature and relative humidity were obtained in the room of 886 m³. A separate test was used to discriminate between human endogenous and exogenous aerosol particles. Aerosol particle removal by mechanical ventilation and mobile air cleaning units was measured. The gym test showed that ventilation with air-change rate ACH = 2.2 h-1, i.e. 4.5 times the minimum of the Dutch Building Code, was insufficient to stop the significant aerosol concentration rise over 30 min. Air cleaning alone with ACH = 1.39 h-1 had a similar effect as ventilation alone. Simplified mathematical models were engaged to provide further insight into ventilation, air cleaning and deposition. It was shown that combining the above-mentioned ventilation and air cleaning can reduce aerosol particle concentrations with 80 to 90% , depending on aerosol size. This combination of existing ventilation supplemented with air cleaning is energy efficient and can also be applied for other indoor environments.

Abstract
Background Myocardial injury has been found using magnetic resonance imaging in recovered coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID‐19) patients unselected or with ongoing cardiac symptoms. Purpose To evaluate for the presence of myocardial involvement in recovered COVID‐19 patients without cardiovascular symptoms and abnormal serologic markers during hospitalization. Study Type Prospective. Population Twenty‐one recovered COVID‐19 patients and 20 healthy controls (HC). Field Strength/Sequence 3.0 T, cine, T2‐weighted imaging, T1 mapping, and T2 mapping. Assessment Cardiac ventricular function includes end‐diastolic volume, end‐systolic volume, stroke volume, cardiac output, left ventricle (LV) mass, and ejection fraction (EF) of LV and right ventricle (RV), and segmental myocardial T1 and T2 values were measured. Statistical Tests Student's t‐test, univariate general linear model test, and chi‐square test were used for analyses between two groups. Ordinary one‐way analyses of variance or Kruskal–Wallis H test were used for analyses between three groups, followed by post‐hoc analyses. Results Fifteen (71.43%) COVID‐19 patients had abnormal magnetic resonance findings, including raised myocardial native T1 (5, 23.81%) and T2 values (10, 47.62%), decreased LVEF (1, 4.76%), and RVEF (2, 9.52%). The segmental myocardial T2 value of COVID‐19 patients (49.20 [46.1, 54.6] msec) was significantly higher than HC (48.3 [45.2, 51.7] msec) (P < 0.001), while the myocardial native T1 value showed no significant difference between COVID‐19 patients and HC. The myocardial T2 value of serious COVID‐19 patients (52.5 [48.1, 57.1] msec) was significantly higher than unserious COVID‐19 patients (48.8 [45.9, 53.8] msec) and HC (48.3 [45.2, 51.7]) (P < 0.001). COVID‐19 patients with abnormally elevated D‐dimer, C‐reactive protein, or lymphopenia showed higher myocardial T2 values than without (all P < 0.05). Data Conclusion Cardiac involvement was observed in recovered COVID‐19 patients with no preexisting cardiovascular disease, no cardiovascular symptoms, and elevated serologic markers of myocardial injury during the whole course of COVID‐19. Abstract
Purpose To evaluate whether the extent of COVID-19 pneumonia on CT scans using quantitative CT imaging obtained early in the illness can predict its future severity. Methods We conducted a retrospective single-center study on confirmed COVID-19 patients between January 18, 2020 and March 5, 2020. A quantitative AI algorithm was used to evaluate each patient's CT scan to determine the proportion of the lungs with pneumonia (VR) and the rate of change (RAR) in VR from scan to scan. Patients were classified as being in the severe or non-severe group based on their final symptoms. Penalized B-splines regression modeling was used to examine the relationship between mean VR and days from onset of symptoms in the two groups, with 95% and 99% confidence intervals. Results Median VR max was 18.6% (IQR 9.1–32.7%) in 21 patients in the severe group, significantly higher (P < 0.0001) than in the 53 patients in non-severe group (1.8% (IQR 0.4–5.7%)). RAR was increasing with a median RAR of 2.1% (IQR 0.4–5.5%) in severe and 0.4% (IQR 0.1–0.9%) in non-severe group, which was significantly different (P < 0.0001). Penalized B-spline analyses showed positive relationships between VR and days from onset of symptom. The 95% confidence limits of the predicted means for the two groups diverged 5 days after the onset of initial symptoms with a threshold of 11.9%. Conclusion Five days after the initial onset of symptoms, CT could predict the patients who later developed severe symptoms with 95% confidence.

Abstract
The discovery of ferromagnetic two-dimensional van der Waals materials has opened up opportunities to explore intriguing physics and to develop innovative spintronic devices. However, controllable synthesis of these 2D ferromagnets and enhancing their stability under ambient conditions remain challenging. Here, we report chemical vapor deposition growth of air-stable 2D metallic 1T-CrTe2 ultrathin crystals with controlled thickness. Their long-range ferromagnetic ordering is confirmed by a robust anomalous Hall effect, which has seldom been observed in other layered 2D materials grown by chemical vapor deposition. With reducing the thickness of 1T-CrTe2 from tens of nanometers to several nanometers, the easy axis changes from in-plane to out-of-plane. Monotonic increase of Curie temperature with the thickness decreasing from ~130.0 to ~7.6 nm is observed. Theoretical calculations indicate that the weakening of the Coulomb screening in the two-dimensional limit plays a crucial role in the change of magnetic properties. Here, the authors report chemical vapor deposition growth of metallic 1T-CrTe2 ultrathin crystals with controlled thickness and long-range ferromagnetic ordering, and observe a monotonic increase of the Curie temperature with decreasing thickness.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES To explore the relationship between the imaging manifestations and clinical classification of COVID-19. METHODS We conducted a retrospective single-center study on patients with COVID-19 from Jan. 18, 2020 to Feb. 7, 2020 in Zhuhai, China. Patients were divided into 3 types based on Chinese guideline: mild (patients with minimal symptoms and negative CT findings), common, and severe-critical (patients with positive CT findings and different extent of clinical manifestations). CT visual quantitative evaluation was based on summing up the acute lung inflammatory lesions involving each lobe, which was scored as 0 (0%), 1 (1-25%), 2 (26-50%), 3 (51-75%), or 4 (76-100%), respectively. The total severity score (TSS) was reached by summing the five lobe scores. The consistency of two observers was evaluated. The TSS was compared with the clinical classification. ROC was used to test the diagnosis ability of TSS for severe-critical type. RESULTS This study included 78 patients, 38 males and 40 females. There were 24 mild (30.8%), 46 common (59.0%), and 8 severe-critical (10.2%) cases, respectively. The median TSS of severe-critical-type group was significantly higher than common type (p < 0.001). The ICC value of the two observers was 0.976 (95% CI 0.962-0.985). ROC analysis showed the area under the curve (AUC) of TSS for diagnosing severe-critical type was 0.918. The TSS cutoff of 7.5 had 82.6% sensitivity and 100% specificity. CONCLUSIONS The proportion of clinical mild-type patients with COVID-19 was relatively high; CT was not suitable for independent screening tool. The CT visual quantitative analysis has high consistency and can reflect the clinical classification of COVID-19. KEY POINTS • CT visual quantitative evaluation has high consistency (ICC value of 0.976) among the observers. The median TSS of severe-critical type group was significantly higher than common type (p < 0.001). • ROC analysis showed the area under the curve (AUC) of TSS for diagnosing severe-critical type was 0.918 (95% CI 0.843-0.994). The TSS cutoff of 7.5 had 82.6% sensitivity and 100% specificity. • The proportion of confirmed COVID-19 patients with normal chest CT was relatively high (30.8%); CT was not a suitable screening modality.

Abstract
One of the main bottleneck issues for room-temperature antiferromagnetic spintronic devices is the small signal read-out owing to the limited anisotropic magnetoresistance in antiferromagnets. However, this could be overcome by either utilizing the Berry-curvature-induced anomalous Hall resistance in noncollinear antiferromagnets or establishing tunnel-junction devices based on effective manipulation of antiferromagnetic spins. In this work, the giant piezoelectric strain modulation of the spin structure and the anomalous Hall resistance in a noncollinear antiferromagnetic metal-D019 hexagonal Mn3 Ga-is demonstrated. Furthermore, tunnel-junction devices are built with a diameter of 200 nm to amplify the maximum tunneling resistance ratio to more than 10% at room-temperature, which thus implies significant potential of noncollinear antiferromagnets for large signal-output and high-density antiferromagnetic spintronic device applications.

Abstract
We report the successful fabrication of noncollinear antiferromagnetic D019 Mn3Ge thin films on insulating oxide substrates. The anomalous Hall effect and the large parallel negative magnetoresistance that is robust up to 53 T are observed in the thin films, which may provide evidence for the recent theoretical prediction of the existence of Weyl fermions in antiferromagnetic Mn3Ge. More importantly, we integrate the Mn3Ge thin films onto ferroelectric PMN-PT substrates and manipulate the longitudinal resistance reversibly by electric fields at room temperature, demonstrating the anisotropic magnetoresistance effect in noncollinear antiferromagnets, which thus illustrates the potential of antiferromagnetic Mn3Ge for information storage applications.

Abstract
In recent years, the field of antiferromagnetic spintronics has been substantially advanced. Electric-field control is a promising approach for achieving ultralow power spintronic devices via suppressing Joule heating. Here, cutting-edge research, including electric-field modulation of antiferromagnetic spintronic devices using strain, ionic liquids, dielectric materials, and electrochemical ionic migration, is comprehensively reviewed. Various emergent topics such as the Néel spin-orbit torque, chiral spintronics, topological antiferromagnetic spintronics, anisotropic magnetoresistance, memory devices, 2D magnetism, and magneto-ionic modulation with respect to antiferromagnets are examined. In conclusion, the possibility of realizing high-quality room-temperature antiferromagnetic tunnel junctions, antiferromagnetic spin logic devices, and artificial antiferromagnetic neurons is highlighted. It is expected that this work provides an appropriate and forward-looking perspective that will promote the rapid development of this field.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the SNP effects of patatin-like phospholipase domain which containing 3 (PNPLA3), transmembrane 6 superfamily member 2 (TM6SF2) gene, environmental effects of smoking, alcohol drinking and interaction between gene-gene, gene-environment and drinking-smoking on hepatitis B virus-associated hepatocellular carcinoma (HBV-HCC). Methods: We collected anticoagulant peripheral blood from patients of HBV-HCC, chronic hepatitis B (CHB), liver cirrhosis (LC) and from healthy controls to detect the single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) of patatin-like phospholipase domain containing 3 (PNPLA3) gene loci rs738409 and transmembrane 6 superfamily member 2 (TM6SF2) gene loci rs58542926, using the flight mass spectrometry method. The optimal assignment value of gene polymorphisms was defined by using the online SNP stats. Hardy-Weinberg (H-W) balance was tested for SNP. Effects of the genetic and environmental factors to HBV-HCC were analyzed by using the multiple classification logistic regression method. The gene-gene, gene-smoking and alcohol drinking interaction effects were investigated by Fork-Life analysis and binary logistic regression methods. Results: The frequency distribution of CHB group rs738409 loci seemed not in conformity with the H-W balance (χ(2)=11.980, P<0.005). Two loci frequency distributions in the other groups were all in accordandce with the H-W balance. After adjusting for influences on age and sex and comparing to the healthy group, the rs58542926 mutation appeared as OR=1.659, 95%CI: 1.026-2.684, P=0.039, in the HBV-HCC group. When comparing to CHB group, the HBV-HCC group presented that drinking as OR=1.680, 95%CI: 1.121-2.519, P=0.012. When comparing to the LC group, the ORs of drinking and smoking were 1.539 (1.071-2.213) and 1.453 (1.005-2.099) respectively, in the HBV-HCC group. When comparing to the CHB+LC group, interactions between the HBV-HCC group were found rs738409 and rs58542926 on additive model OR=1.548 (U=1.885, P=0.029) and OR=1.658 (P=0.024) on logistic regression model while drinking was rs738409 on interaction additive model with OR=1.811(U=1.965, P=0.024). As for drinking and mutation of rs738409, the multiplication model of logistic regression showed no statistically significant differences. Interaction between smoking and drinking appeared as OR=1.756 (P<0.001) in the logistics regression multiplication model. Conclusions: Factors as mutation of TM6SF2, smoking and drinking all appeared as risk factors for HBV-HCC. Mutations of both PNPLA3 and TM6SF2, together with smoking and drinking all served as risk factors for HBV-HCC. However, the mutation of single PNPLA3 appeared as a protective factor on HBV-HCC.

Abstract
Spintronic devices based on antiferromagnetic (AFM) materials hold the promise of fast switching speeds and robustness against magnetic fields1-3. Different device concepts have been predicted4,5 and experimentally demonstrated, such as low-temperature AFM tunnel junctions that operate as spin-valves6, or room-temperature AFM memory, for which either thermal heating in combination with magnetic fields7 or Néel spin-orbit torque8 is used for the information writing process. On the other hand, piezoelectric materials were employed to control magnetism by electric fields in multiferroic heterostructures9-12, which suppresses Joule heating caused by switching currents and may enable low-energy-consuming electronic devices. Here, we combine the two material classes to explore changes in the resistance of the high-Néel-temperature antiferromagnet MnPt induced by piezoelectric strain. We find two non-volatile resistance states at room temperature and zero electric field that are stable in magnetic fields up to 60 T. Furthermore, the strain-induced resistance switching process is insensitive to magnetic fields. Integration in a tunnel junction can further amplify the electroresistance. The tunnelling anisotropic magnetoresistance reaches ~11.2% at room temperature. Overall, we demonstrate a piezoelectric, strain-controlled AFM memory that is fully operational in strong magnetic fields and has the potential for low-energy and high-density memory applications.

Abstract
Background It is a permanent challenge to differentiate small solid lung nodules. Massive data, extracted from medical image through radiomics analysis, may help early diagnosis of lung cancer. The aim of this study was to assess the usefulness of a quantitative radiomic model developed from baseline low-dose computed tomography (LDCT) screening for the purpose of predicting malignancy in small solid pulmonary nodules (SSPNs). Methods This retrospective study included malignant and benign SSPNs (6 to 15 mm) detected in baseline low-dose CT screening. The malignancy was confirmed pathologically, and benignity was confirmed by long term follow-up or pathological diagnosis. The non-contrast CT images were reconstructed with a lung kernel of a slice thickness of 1 mm and were processed to extract 385 quantitative radiomic features using Analysis-Kinetic software. A predictive model was established with the training set of 156 benign and 40 malignant nodules, and was tested with the validation set of 77 benign and 21 malignant nodules through the analysis of R square. The performance of the radiomic model in predicting malignancy was compared with that of the ACR Lung Imaging Reporting and Data System (ACR lung-RADS). Results In 294 cases of SSPNs, 61 lung cancers and 24 benign nodules were confirmed pathologically and the remaining 209 nodules were stable with long-term follow-up (4.1±0.9 years). Eleven non-redundant features, including 8 high-order texture features, were extracted from the training data set. The sensitivity and specificity of the prediction model in malignancy differentiation were 81.0% and 92.2% respectively. The accuracy was superior to ACR-lung RADS (89.8% vs. 76.5%). Conclusions A radiomic model based on baseline low-dose CT screening for lung cancer can improve the accuracy in predicting malignancy of SSPNs.

Abstract
This study compared the effects of sodium selenite and selenium yeast and their combination on laying performance, egg quality, antioxidant capacity, and selenium (Se) contents in tissues and eggs. Two-hundred-eighty-eight Jing Hong layers that were similar in laying rate (87.5 ± 0.38%) and body weight (1.70 ± 0.02 kg) were randomly distributed into 4 treatments for 11 wk (from 203 d old to 279 d old) with 9 replicates of 8 hens per replicate. The diets (corn-soybean meal diet) were supplemented with 0 [blank control (BC)], 0.3 mg/kg Se from sodium selenite (SS), 0.15 mg/kg Se from sodium selenite and 0.15 mg/kg Se from Se yeast (SS+SY), or 0.3 mg/kg Se from Se yeast (SY). Results showed that the laying rate of the SS+SY group increased significantly (P < 0.05) compared to the BC and SY groups. There were no differences (P > 0.05) in egg quality between the Se-supplemented diets and the BC diet. The serum glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) activity was increased (P < 0.01) in hens fed Se-supplemented diets compared to the BC diet. The liver superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity of the SY group was increased significantly (P < 0.05) compared to the BC group. Significant increase (P < 0.01) due to SY supplementation was noted in the serum vitamin E content compared to BC and SS. Layers fed Se-supplemented diets had higher (P < 0.01) contents of Se in the serum, liver, and kidney compared to the BC diet. Compared to BC, Se content in eggs was significantly increased (P < 0.05) by feeding supplementary Se. In conclusion, the effects of SS and Se yeast were approximately equal in promoting antioxidant capacity of laying hens, while Se yeast is easier to deposit into eggs and tissues. The diet with added equal amounts of the 2 sources of Se was more cost effective and affordable than a comparable amount of Se yeast to obtain the promising production performance and nearly similar Se deposition.

Abstract
Separation of vanadium from molybdates is an essential task for processing the leaching solution of hazardous spent hydrodesulphurization (HDS) catalyst. In this study, the difference in the main naturally occurring mineral forms of Mo and V inspired us to develop a method for the deep removal of V from molybdate solution using Fe3O4 as an adsorbent. First, the adsorbent was synthesized with coprecipitation method, and then it was characterized by XRD, TEM, and VSM. The synthesized material consisted of pure Fe3O4 nanoparticles that exhibited paramagnetic property, with a saturated magnetization of 68.6emug-1. The V removal efficiency was investigated using batch adsorption experiments in varying conditions. Results indicated that V could be deeply removed from various concentrations of molybdate solution at pH of 7.0-11.0 within 5min. A slight decrease was found in the adsorption ratio after the adsorbent had been reused for 4 cycles. The resulting molybdate solution contained less than 0.02gL-1 of V, which satisfies the requirement for preparing high-quality products. Finally, a process flowchart is presented for the separation of Mo and V from the leaching solution of spent HDS catalyst, based on the excellent V removal performance and rapid separation rate of the Fe3O4 adsorbent.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate differences in suicide risk among immigrant population in Norway compared with native Norwegians, with respect to associated country group of origin. METHODS Based on the entire national population, a nested case-control design was adopted using Norwegian national longitudinal registers to obtain 23 073 suicide cases having occurred in 1969-2012 and 373 178 controls. Odds ratios (ORs) for suicide were estimated using conditional logistic regression analysis adjusting for socio-economic factors. RESULTS Compared with native Norwegians, suicide risk was significantly lower in first- and second-generation immigrants but higher in Norwegian-born with one foreign-born parent and foreign-born individuals with at least one Norwegian-born parent. When stratifying data by country group of origin, first-generation immigrants had lower ORs in most of the strata. Subjects born in Asia and in Central and South America with at least one Norwegian-born parent had a significantly higher risk of suicide. The observed results remained mostly unchanged in the analyses controlled for socio-economic status. CONCLUSIONS Suicide risk is lower in first- and second-generation immigrants but higher in subjects born in Norway with one foreign-born parent and those born abroad with at least one Norwegian-born parent, with notable differences by country group of origin.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of maintenance therapy with reduced dose of rhTPO in the patients with primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) who attained stable platelet (PLT) counts after daily administration of rhTPO. Methods: Treatment was started with a daily administration of rhTPO (300 U/kg) for 2 consecutive weeks. Patients who attained stable PLT≥50×10(9)/L were enrolled to maintenance therapy starting with every other day administration of rhTPO, then adjusted dose interval to maintain platelet count (30-100) ×10(9)/L. Results: A total of 91 eligible patients were enrolled. Fourteen patients discontinued the study due to noncompliance (12/14) and investigator decision (2/14) . Among 77 patients who completed the study, 38 patients with the administration of rhTPO at every other day or less could maintain PLT≥30×10(9)/L for 12 weeks. The percentage of patients with a platelet response (PLT≥30×10(9)/L) at 4(th) week, 8(th) week and 12(th) week of maintain therapy was 92.6% (63/68) , 82.7% (43/52) and 85.0% (34/40) , respectively. Median platelet counts remained in the range of (70-124) ×10(9)/L. The overall incidence of rhTPO-related adverse events was 7.7%. All the adverse events were generally mild. Conclusion: Extending the dose interval of rhTPO is feasible to maintain stable platelet count in the patients with ITP, but the optimal dose interval is uncertain and might vary with individuals.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Psychosocial therapy after deliberate self-harm might be associated with reduced risk of specific causes of death. METHOD In this matched cohort study, we included patients, who after an episode of deliberate self-harm received psychosocial therapy at a Suicide Prevention Clinic in Denmark between 1992 and 2010. We used propensity score matching in a 1:3 ratio to select a comparison group from 59 046 individuals who received standard care. National Danish registers supplied data on specific causes of death over a 20-year follow-up period. RESULTS At the end of follow-up, 391 (6.9%) of 5678 patients in the psychosocial therapy group had died, compared with 1736 (10.2%) of 17 034 patients in the matched comparison group. Lower odds ratios of dying by mental or behavioural disorders [0.54, 95% confidence interval (CI) 0.37-0.79], alcohol-related causes (0.63, 95% CI 0.50-0.80) and other diseases and medical conditions (0.61, 95% CI 0.49-0.77) were noted in the psychosocial therapy group. Also, we found a reduced risk of dying by suicide as well as other external causes, however, not by neoplasms and circulatory system diseases. Numbers needed to treat were 212.9 (95% CI 139.5-448.4) for mental or behavioural disorders as a cause of death, 111.1 (95% CI 79.2-210.5) for alcohol-related causes and 96.8 (95% CI 69.1-161.8) for other diseases and medical conditions. CONCLUSIONS Our findings indicate that psychosocial therapy after deliberate self-harm might reduce long-term risk of death from select medical conditions and external causes. These promising results should be tested in a randomized design.

Abstract
We investigated the genetic diversity of the southern flounder Paralichthys lethostigma. Microsatellite-enriched libraries were constructed and novel microsatellite markers were developed and applied for genetic detection of wild populations. Cross-species amplification was also conducted in five pleuronectiforme species. Of 45 randomly selected and sequenced clones, 43 contained a CA or GA repeat motif. Fourteen pairs of primers were designed to investigate the polymorphism and genetic structure of a wild population collected from North Carolina State coastal waters. Two loci were monomorphic and 12 loci were polymorphic. The number of alleles per polymorphic locus ranged from 2 to 16, with an average of 7.3, and the expected heterozygosity per locus ranged from 0.10 to 0.92, with an average of 0.58. Cross-species amplification showed that most of the markers could successfully amplify Paralichthys olivaceus DNAs, few markers amplified in Verasper variegatus and Verasper moseri, and none of them could amplify Scophthatmus maximus and Cynoglossus semilaevis DNAs. The isolated polymorphic markers would be useful for the genetic breeding and assessment of genetic variation within the genus Paralichthys.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Gaining a greater knowledge of the mechanisms and means by which violent offenders die by suicide can inform tailored preventive strategies. METHODS Using interlinked national Danish registry data we constructed a nested case-control study dataset of all adult suicides during 1994-2006: N=9708 cases and N=188,134 age and gender matched living controls. Completely ascertained International Classification of Diseases 10th revision cause-specific mortality codes were examined, with all criminal charges since 1980, and covariate information on psychiatric treatment and socio-demographics. Self-poisonings were classified as 'nonviolent' suicide and all other methods as being 'violent' ones. RESULTS Compared with the general population, risk among male and female violent offenders was strongly and significantly elevated for suicide by either a violent or a nonviolent method, although the relative risk was greater for nonviolent suicide. These patterns were also observed among nonviolent offenders, albeit with smaller effect sizes. Risk was especially raised for self-poisoning with narcotics & hallucinogens. We could only examine the full range of suicide methods in male violent offenders. In these men, hanging was the most frequently used method, although risk was markedly and significantly elevated virtually across the entire range of regularly used suicide methods. LIMITATIONS We lacked sufficient statistical power for undertaking a detailed profiling of specific suicide methods among female violent offenders. CONCLUSIONS Our findings indicate that comprehensive and broadly-based preventive approaches are needed for tackling the markedly raised risk of suicide by both violent and nonviolent means in this population. Their high relative risk for self-poisoning by illicit or illegal drugs underlines the importance of access to means and of prevailing subculture.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To examine suicide risk in relation to physical illness across a broad range of illnesses, including hospitalization history, specific organ or system illness and comorbidity. DESIGN A nested case-control study. SETTING Data were retrieved from five Danish national registers. SUBJECTS On the basis of the entire population of Denmark, this study included 27 262 suicide cases, and 468 007 live controls matched for sex and date of birth. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES Risk of suicide was assessed using conditional logistic regression. RESULTS In the study population, 63.5% of suicide cases and 44.5% of comparison controls had a history of hospitalization for physical illness. A physical illness significantly increased the risk of subsequent suicide (incidence rate ratios 2.13, 95% CI 2.07-2.18) with a substantially greater effect in women than in men (P < 0.01). The elevated risk increased progressively with frequency and recency of hospitalization and was significant for diseases occurring in all organs or systems of the body. Comorbidity involving several organs or systems increased the risk substantially. The associated estimates were to some extent reduced but remained highly significant after adjustment for psychiatric history and socio-economic status. Taking into account both prevalence and adjusted effect size, physical illness accounted for 24.4%, 21.0% and 32.3% of population attributable risk for suicide in total, male and female populations, respectively. CONCLUSIONS Physical illness constitutes a significant risk factor for suicide independent of psychiatric and socio-economic factors. Clinicians treating physically ill patients should be aware of the risk, especially amongst those with multiple or recent hospitalizations, or multiple comorbidities.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To replicate a previously reported association between pollen counts and county suicide rates in the continental United States, across space and time. METHOD The authors evaluated the relationship between airborne pollen counts and suicide rates in 42 counties of the continental United States, containing a pollen-counting station participating in the Aeroallergen Monitoring Network in the United States (N = 120,076 suicides), considering years' quarter, age group, sex, race, rural/urban location, number of local psychiatrists, and median household income, from 1999 to 2002. The county-level effects were broken into between-county and within-county. RESULTS No within-county effects were found. Between-county effects for grass and ragweed pollen on suicide rates lost statistical significance after adjustment for median income, number of psychiatrists, and urban vs. rural location. CONCLUSION Future research is necessary to reappraise the previously reported relationship between pollen levels and suicide rates that may have been driven by socioeconomic confounders.

Abstract
BACKGROUND With increasing research suggesting a role of allergy on suicidality, this study, on a population level, delved into how allergy affects risk for suicide completion in the context of mood disorder and other factors. METHODS Based on the entire population of Denmark, we included 27,096 completed suicides and 467,571 live controls matched on sex and age with a nested case-control design. We retrieved personal information on hospital contacts for allergy and other variables from various Danish longitudinal registries and analyzed the data with conditional logistic regression. RESULTS We noted that 1.17% suicide victims, compared with 0.79% matched controls, had a history of hospital contact for allergy and that a history of allergy predicted an increased risk for suicide completion; however, the effect was confined to allergy that led to inpatient treatment (IRR: 1.59, 95% CI: 1.41-1.80). The increased risk was attenuated somewhat but remained significant when adjusted for personal psychiatric history and socioeconomic status. Meanwhile, we observed a nonsignificantly stronger effect in women than in men, and a significant age difference with a stronger effect for individuals at high ages. Moreover, we detected a significant interaction between allergy and mood disorder - even an antagonism effect of the two exposures. Allergy increased suicide risk only in persons with no history of mood disorder, whereas it eliminated suicide risk in those with a history of mood disorder. CONCLUSIONS The findings support a link between allergy and suicidality, with a possible mediating role of mood disorder.
