Biography: Dr. Camelia SULTANA, MD, PhD is Associate Professor of Virology at „Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy and Scientific researcher at "St. S. Nicolau" Institute of Virology and has qualification as MD attending physician both in Medical Microbiology and Laboratory medicine (biochemistry, microbiology, virology, parasitology, hematology). Dr Camelia SULTANA is involved for more than 20 years in studies on the molecular epidemiology of viral hepatitis infections in Romania; virological follow-up of a large cohort of long term survivors HIV parenterally infected children; viral characteristics associated with the evolution of neurologic complications during viral diseases (varicella, influenza); viral and host related factors associated with the emergence of arboviral diseases. Dr Camelia SULTANA was involved in 27 international and national scientifical projects. [-]
